- 1:21Speaker 1: was just a bunch of scream and you walk right back.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yes, that's exactly right. I'm gonna tell Dan about mine
- 1:25Speaker 3: he's gonna try to guess the Verdictan, it's gonna be
- 1:27Speaker 3: the exact same thing to me. And I'm gonna try

- 2:01Speaker 1: leave reviews anywhere.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Apparently these days you can leave comments on specific episodes
- 2:06Speaker 3: on Spotify.
- 2:07Speaker 2: So it's all different ways that you can do.
- 2:10Speaker 1: All the reviews now towards dcom descendants. Weirdly that is true,
- 2:15Speaker 1: not even on audible?
- 2:16Speaker 2: Is that true? Is true? How if Deck the Hallmark's
- 2:19Speaker 2: on here? What it's got to be?
- 2:20Speaker 1: Right?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Hey, Dek the Hallmark's on there? Deck the Hallmark is
- 2:24Speaker 2: on there? Okay, good yo, Gabble Gavill not on there?
- 2:28Speaker 2: This is Deke the Hallmark of any reviews.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we got one rating five stars. That's right, I
- 2:35Speaker 1: got no review?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Wow? How about that? Oh my favorite holiday podcast there?
- 2:39Speaker 2: It is from Marlene Marlene in December of twenty twenty three.
- 2:43Speaker 2: These guys are hilarious, so much fun to hear their
- 2:45Speaker 2: opinions and bits. The guests on the show are always
- 2:48Speaker 2: fun and add to the banter beautifully great to add
- 2:51Speaker 2: joy to your Hallmark movie obsession. Forever a fan, Marlene Marlene.
- 2:56Speaker 3: An update, there was a deck the Hallmark review for
- 3:00Speaker 3: those of you we got listeners out there.
- 3:02Speaker 2: All right, I'll let me get started.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Dan.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Let's send over to Judge Karen's court.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Karen and I want to introduce you to Ashton Rice,
- 3:12Speaker 1: because who is suing Shane Kufel for eight thousand, eight
- 3:18Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars fifty.
- 3:21Speaker 2: The price of an engagement ring? Are you ready? We
- 3:24Speaker 2: know a lot about engagement rings, though this is big.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Shane Kifel has run a hot air balloon company for
- 3:31Speaker 3: many years. He has three balloons, including one that's a
- 3:36Speaker 3: heart cool.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I think that's nice.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Ashton was planning on proposing to his girlfriend at a
- 3:42Speaker 1: winery and as he's beginning to plan through. He comes
- 3:46Speaker 1: across and add on Instagram for Shane Kufel's Balloon Company,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and he's like, that's interesting, Maybe that that would be
- 3:55Speaker 1: a fun addition, you know, I propose at the winery,
- 3:58Speaker 1: then we go off and the hot air balloon and
- 4:01Speaker 1: it could be like a whole fun experience.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 3: He emails Shane about this, and Shane says, well, here's
- 4:07Speaker 3: an interesting thought. We actually have a proposal package where
- 4:12Speaker 3: you could go up in the heart shaped balloon and
- 4:14Speaker 3: you could propose in the air.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Do you know we you know, we have a show
- 4:19Speaker 1: called The This List, and we just we're about to
- 4:22Speaker 1: do an episode Worst Proposals. Yeah, I think this is
- 4:26Speaker 1: on the list right. It's got to be an hot
- 4:27Speaker 1: balloon proposal to hear the top of the list, especially
- 4:32Speaker 1: after you hear about what our guy Ashton, what happens
- 4:34Speaker 1: to him.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Ashton likes the idea, so he's like, you know what,
- 4:37Speaker 2: let's do it.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I'll still go to the winery and that'll be step one,
- 4:40Speaker 3: and then we'll also apprise her with the balloon.
- 4:41Speaker 2: We'll get up and I'll propose.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So that day comes and they're at the winery, and
- 4:46Speaker 3: everything is going great, and they get into their car
- 4:49Speaker 3: and they drive to the balloon to surprise her. They
- 4:53Speaker 3: pull up and she is blown away this heart shaped balloon.
- 4:55Speaker 3: This is crazy, Shane says.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Earlier in the day, I wake up and I look
- 5:01Speaker 1: at the weather and I.
- 5:01Speaker 2: See that it is going to be windier today.
- 5:04Speaker 3: So I email Ashton and I say, hey, just a
- 5:07Speaker 3: heads up, could hit some wind today which could cause
- 5:11Speaker 3: a little bit of a bumpier ride. If you would
- 5:15Speaker 3: like to reschedule, can totally do that, just let me know,
- 5:19Speaker 3: but also just know that it is safe if you
- 5:22Speaker 3: would like to stop.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Just bumpy safe, but bumpy.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Ashton does not opt to reschedule, and he shows this
- 5:31Speaker 1: email to Judge Karen.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Judge Karen cannot believe.
- 5:36Speaker 3: That anybody would get in a hot air balloon, and
- 5:38Speaker 3: so she is just constantly just like there's another reason
- 5:42Speaker 3: why not to get in the balloon. Like so she's
- 5:43Speaker 3: just clearly lost her she's literally anti balloon here. Anyway,
- 5:48Speaker 3: Ashton drives up to see this heart shaped balloon. Girlfriend
- 5:52Speaker 3: is pommed. It wasn't even windy yet. He was feeling
- 5:55Speaker 3: really good about it. Obviously nervous, He's about to propose,
- 5:58Speaker 3: big deal.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But what can you do?
- 6:01Speaker 3: Judge Karen talks about how she would, uh once again,
- 6:04Speaker 3: never get into a hot air balloon and she thinks
- 6:06Speaker 3: that Ashton is dumb for doing it, and.
- 6:08Speaker 2: She says, it's a little basket. It's a little basket. Uh.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So they get on board the little baskets and Shane
- 6:16Speaker 3: takes off. He tells Ashton, hey, look out for my nod.
- 6:20Speaker 3: When I nod, that means it's safe to propose nothing
- 6:28Speaker 3: nothing wrong. Gives him the nod. Ashton sees the nod.
- 6:34Speaker 3: He gets down on his knee and he asks her
- 6:37Speaker 3: to be quote the one true wife of his life.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I don't know if that's what he went.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I got a lot of fakes, a long time to
- 6:47Speaker 1: think about what you want to say. I don't know
- 6:50Speaker 1: if that's what he actually said in the moment, or
- 6:53Speaker 1: if he just fumbled over his words here in the courtroom.
- 6:55Speaker 2: But he says one true wife.
- 6:57Speaker 1: She says yes, and as he goes to put the
- 7:00Speaker 1: ring on her finger, he claims Shane's.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Crazy steering caused a big bump.
- 7:10Speaker 3: The ring then flies out of my hand, over the
- 7:14Speaker 3: side of the basket and down to the ground.
- 7:17Speaker 2: She says, when you.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Landed and you try to find the ring, and he says,
- 7:21Speaker 3: I was too emotionally distraught. I wouldn't even know where
- 7:24Speaker 3: to begin. I didn't know where we were. It was
- 7:26Speaker 3: going to be bumpy though to him. So she asks
- 7:29Speaker 3: if he had insurance on the ring. He says, no,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I didn't think. I didn't think i'd need it. You know,
- 7:35Speaker 3: whenever they give you that insurance thing when you buy
- 7:37Speaker 3: a ring, did they give yours? And it always makes
- 7:40Speaker 3: you feel like you made a good investment, you know.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah, It's like it's not about the gift. It's like
- 7:44Speaker 1: you see the number on the insurance page and you're like,
- 7:47Speaker 1: oh yeah, but you still got to go take that
- 7:49Speaker 1: to an insurance company, you know.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So Shane says that the flight was smooth.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Unfortunately, August of wind hit just as he was transferring
- 8:02Speaker 3: the ring from his hand to her finger, and it
- 8:06Speaker 3: kind of like made the balloon either jump up or
- 8:10Speaker 3: sink really quickly.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Either way.
- 8:12Speaker 1: His hand has ring, was about to put it on
- 8:14Speaker 1: and came down hit his own hand, which caused the yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I can bring you out, yeah, And he says, there's
- 8:21Speaker 1: nothing that I could do to have prevented that from happening. Listen,
- 8:24Speaker 1: We've had over fifty successful proposals.
- 8:27Speaker 2: It's the proposal package, the proposal package, hardboy.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I gave him a warning that it is Wendy. He
- 8:33Speaker 1: chose to go through with it.
- 8:36Speaker 3: She asks about any sort of like waiver, and uh,
- 8:39Speaker 3: there is a waiver that you signed that basically says
- 8:41Speaker 3: he's not liable for any injuries. It doesn't mention anything
- 8:44Speaker 3: about property or rings. And Judge Karen is ready to rule.
- 8:49Speaker 3: I can't imagine this guy getting his money. He was
- 8:51Speaker 3: told it was going to be a bumpy ride, he
- 8:53Speaker 3: was told that it was the weather was what it was.
- 8:58Speaker 3: He's responsible for his ring in a hot air balloon.
- 9:01Speaker 1: My question, I would have one, literally one question for
- 9:04Speaker 1: the hot air balloon guy. It's when people, I'm assuming
- 9:08Speaker 1: this isn't the first time someone's dropped something off the
- 9:10Speaker 1: side of a hot air balloon, when you've been in it,
- 9:12Speaker 1: what happens then, whatever happens then, should happen now. And
- 9:18Speaker 1: I can guarantee you whatever happens then is he's not liable,
- 9:22Speaker 1: and so I don't know why you would be liable now.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's not his job to control the wind. This guy
- 9:29Speaker 1: better not get it done.
- 9:31Speaker 3: She doesn't ask that question, although it is a good question,
- 9:33Speaker 3: but she does tell our guy, Ashton, you assume the
- 9:38Speaker 3: risk when you went onto that hot air balloon once again,
- 9:42Speaker 3: something that I would never do. He emails you about
- 9:45Speaker 3: the wind. There's a lot that can go wrong. He's
- 9:48Speaker 3: not responsible for the gust of wind. You got into
- 9:51Speaker 3: a balloon on a windy day. He gave you a
- 9:53Speaker 3: heads up, and Ashton says, but he told me that
- 9:56Speaker 3: it was safe.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And she says it was safe. You're a live and
- 10:02Speaker 1: that is the end of that case. So there you go.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You're right, Dano's right. I think she made the right
- 10:07Speaker 1: call there. Yes, obviously you feel for ash and that's
- 10:10Speaker 1: a bummer.
- 10:11Speaker 3: But get out listen, buddy, get out there with a
- 10:13Speaker 3: metal detector and try to find that thing.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Do you think right now? Get out, kim Me, I
- 10:18Speaker 1: got Judge Ross. It's not important concept overstand. Understand that
- 10:24Speaker 1: this is a tough one, Gang, It's a tough one.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I thought it was one thing. I thought it sounded
- 10:28Speaker 1: interesting and it turned out to be something else. And
- 10:31Speaker 1: you know what, that's okay because it's a fascinating case. Nonetheless,
- 10:34Speaker 1: but boy, does this go places? It is? Uh man.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I was on the edge of my seat. I don't
- 10:39Speaker 1: know if it's good podcasting. Was on the edge of
- 10:40Speaker 1: my seat.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Kelly Sands is suing.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Mark sayers her ex may I think, I said ex
- 10:47Speaker 1: wife in the in the thing, it might have just
- 10:49Speaker 1: been boyfriend girlfriend. I pretty sure it was wife, though,
- 10:51Speaker 1: Kelly said said some sort.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:53Speaker 1: We've been together three years and we were going to
- 10:55Speaker 1: try to have a baby, and we started saving money
- 10:58Speaker 1: for IVF in mutro fertilization, and he took the money
- 11:03Speaker 1: that we were saving for IVF without telling me and
- 11:07Speaker 1: spent it. Oh yeah, that's it's that's that's a lot
- 11:12Speaker 1: as an expensive process, very expensive.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Mark said. We met through mutual friends. We hung out
- 11:19Speaker 2: a couple of times. I really liked her energy.
- 11:20Speaker 1: She brought out some really fun qualities within myself, and
- 11:24Speaker 1: that's why we were together, and I was really looking
- 11:27Speaker 1: forward to having a family with her. Kelly's like, we
- 11:28Speaker 1: try to get pregnant for almost two years. Naturally, we
- 11:31Speaker 1: sought medical help. We both sought medical help, and it
- 11:34Speaker 1: turned out, she says, it turned out that he had
- 11:36Speaker 1: a slight uh well, and Ross says you're trying to
- 11:40Speaker 1: be tactful, and she goes the problem was on his end,
- 11:43Speaker 1: that's what she says.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Ros says, is that true? Are you okay? Yeah? Mark says,
- 11:49Speaker 2: they're swimming.
- 11:50Speaker 1: You're on her.
- 11:51Speaker 2: That's all I know.
- 11:54Speaker 1: This guy's not about to be embarrassed. And Judge Ross's
- 11:57Speaker 1: cot in America's court, it showed you the fact that
- 12:00Speaker 1: my sperm's not sperming, you know what I mean?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Just wait, did you see that UCLA?
- 12:05Speaker 3: Uh maybe it's USC They did the first ever sperm race.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I did not see the two scientists have. It's not
- 12:13Speaker 1: they don't like have to do the deed. They have
- 12:16Speaker 1: a tube.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Of uh sperm, that's theirs.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I don't know, okay, I don't know whom everybody and
- 12:25Speaker 1: they put in this thing and they are using like
- 12:27Speaker 1: little controllers to move the sperm along to get to
- 12:31Speaker 1: the finish line. And this is that's the story that
- 12:34Speaker 1: this case deserves. He's like, all right, whatever, Russ is
- 12:38Speaker 1: that you guys put money aside to go through this
- 12:40Speaker 1: process killers that.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So each round of in vitro is around thirteen thousand
- 12:44Speaker 1: dollars and insurance paid half. Okay, so we had to
- 12:47Speaker 1: cover the other seventy five hundred. So we each put
- 12:51Speaker 1: in half of seventy five hundred for this procedure. So
- 12:56Speaker 1: we covered seventy five hundred together. Well, so what she's
- 12:58Speaker 1: doing for three thousands just because he only he took
- 13:01Speaker 1: out through after one round of IVF. We were we
- 13:06Speaker 1: still weren't pregnant. We were exhausted, we were tired. We're
- 13:08Speaker 1: get mad at each other. It was emotionally difficult. It
- 13:10Speaker 1: was hard. There was a dark cloud above me. I
- 13:13Speaker 1: was depressed. I still kind of am. It was tough
- 13:16Speaker 1: to see others. That's what all she said. Mark says,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you'r honor. I was there every step of the way.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I helped her along the way, injection schedule meals, whatever
- 13:23Speaker 1: I could do. Sometimes she'd lash out eat me. Sometimes
- 13:26Speaker 1: she'd just yell at me. It felt like nothing I
- 13:28Speaker 1: ever did was good enough. It was like banging my
- 13:30Speaker 1: head against the wall. Kelly was like, I wanted him
- 13:32Speaker 1: to listen to me. It briefly becomes like marriage counseling.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And he said, can I ask you a quick question?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Just uh?
- 13:38Speaker 3: And I don't know if they get into us and
- 13:41Speaker 3: the court, but and I don't know a ton of
- 13:44Speaker 3: the specifics about IVF and and how it all works.
- 13:47Speaker 3: If his uh, well, if her swimmers weren't, if she
- 13:52Speaker 3: wasn't the problem with getting pregnant and it was it
- 13:56Speaker 3: was his swimmers, how does IVF kind of like does that?
- 14:01Speaker 1: My question was if she if it was his sperm,
- 14:06Speaker 1: what why does she need injections?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:09Speaker 1: I also don't know, and I don't have an answer,
- 14:11Speaker 1: but clearly, like unless someone's lying here, which I don't
- 14:14Speaker 1: think anyone's lying here, doesn't quite add up.
- 14:16Speaker 2: They don't.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It could be that they don't swim the full way,
- 14:19Speaker 1: full way according to a scientific study at U C
- 14:22Speaker 1: L a USC, that's exactly correct, right, And she's like okay.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Russ is like, okay, I understand. This is the stuff happens.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's tough, it's difficult, it happens. So I just need
- 14:32Speaker 1: to know about this money. It was a joint account,
- 14:34Speaker 1: so it wasn't your You guys started a separate bank
- 14:37Speaker 1: account sport ethically for IVF. Mark says, yes, that's what
- 14:42Speaker 1: we did. And he goes, and you took money out
- 14:45Speaker 1: of a joint account for IVF to use for not IVF.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Mark says, your honor I have a childhood friend, Charlie.
- 14:53Speaker 1: He has a family. They were going through some really
- 14:55Speaker 1: tough times and financial problems. I decided to let him
- 14:58Speaker 1: borrow that money with the full and atention of him
- 15:00Speaker 1: paying me back and then me paying back the account.
- 15:04Speaker 1: We were on a break, we were on a book.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Say that.
- 15:07Speaker 1: He doesn't say that. He says we had split up.
- 15:10Speaker 1: That money was still there. We had done one round.
- 15:13Speaker 1: That money was still there. We'd used all that money
- 15:15Speaker 1: for if I should have talked to her first, But
- 15:18Speaker 1: I have full intentions of paying that money back, okay,
- 15:21Speaker 1: Kelly says, and your honor, he did all this on
- 15:24Speaker 1: his own without consulting me, right, Mark said, your honor.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Every time it was to the point every time I
- 15:29Speaker 1: was talking to her, we couldn't talk. It just became
- 15:32Speaker 1: an argument. It became yelling. And Ross is like, you
- 15:35Speaker 1: took the money. Yeah, that was designated for the two
- 15:40Speaker 1: of you to focus on having a child, and you
- 15:42Speaker 1: gave that money to Charlie. Charlie with the expectations say
- 15:46Speaker 1: and a son, that maybe he would give it back.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Right And Mark says, yes, your honor, He said, did
- 15:53Speaker 1: Charlie give the money back? And Kelly answers no. Ross says,
- 15:58Speaker 1: do you feel that you would be doing right? Did
- 16:00Speaker 1: you be doing the right thing by lending your friend
- 16:03Speaker 1: money and then replacing the money that you took from
- 16:05Speaker 1: this cause when you got it. Mark said yes that
- 16:09Speaker 1: I just thought that was the right thing to do.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I didn't have any expendable income except for this. I
- 16:13Speaker 1: can help a friend. We weren't trying to have a
- 16:15Speaker 1: kid at the moment. I was gonna pay the money back.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Ross says, Kelly, did he tell you this? This is
- 16:21Speaker 1: tough for you as a brandon.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I just Kelly, I don't know how he wins this. Also,
- 16:27Speaker 2: Kelly says, did he tell you that? Or no? Ross says,
- 16:30Speaker 2: did he tell you that? Kelly says, uh no.
- 16:32Speaker 1: He says that he's gonna he did when he finally
- 16:35Speaker 1: when I finally confronted him, he said he would be
- 16:38Speaker 1: replacing the money. That's what he said. Mark said, I mentioned,
- 16:42Speaker 1: uh oh. And then Ross says, did he replace the money?
- 16:46Speaker 1: Kelly said no, he did not. That's why we're here today.
- 16:49Speaker 1: We're here, Fross.
- 16:50Speaker 2: That's while we're here seven.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Mark says, I mentioned your honor that was going to
- 16:54Speaker 1: replace the funds and then She immediately lashed out at
- 16:56Speaker 1: me when I explained the situation, and so I didn't
- 16:59Speaker 1: I was just angry, and I didn't replace the funds
- 17:01Speaker 1: at that time. Then she sued me, and that's why
- 17:03Speaker 1: we're here. Kelly said he said he would figure out
- 17:06Speaker 1: how much he would give me. He never said he'd
- 17:08Speaker 1: actually replace all the money. Mark said, that's not true,
- 17:11Speaker 1: your honor. You can't figure out how much to give
- 17:14Speaker 1: to an account that you jointly own. So like half
- 17:18Speaker 1: of the money in there was my money, half of
- 17:20Speaker 1: it was her money. So of course I had to
- 17:23Speaker 1: figure some out. But I told her I'd replace the funds.
- 17:25Speaker 3: But isn't that just help me with the math here?
- 17:28Speaker 3: So half she's suing for. Half she's suing for. He
- 17:32Speaker 3: took out three thousand dollars, she's suing for three thousand dollars.
- 17:36Speaker 3: How much was in the account more than three thousand dollars,
- 17:39Speaker 3: But they each put in exactly fifty percent of that, right,
- 17:42Speaker 3: So it's like you and I aren't going to try
- 17:43Speaker 3: to have a baby, but we do own a business
- 17:45Speaker 3: fifty to fifty.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Like it's not just I'm just saying I don't want
- 17:49Speaker 2: to shut that door right now. But I guess I'm
- 17:51Speaker 2: that's right.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You don't want to just say that, like, let's not
- 17:53Speaker 1: speak and yeah, if you would like to have my child,
- 17:57Speaker 1: please let me know. I side again, I don't have
- 18:00Speaker 1: any plans. I just I don't want you to just
- 18:03Speaker 1: I got it. You don't want the ocasions for both
- 18:04Speaker 1: of us partnership.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yes, but we have a joint account. We do have
- 18:09Speaker 2: a joint account.
- 18:10Speaker 1: If you took out that, no, that wouldn't be the
- 18:13Speaker 1: same because if you took out money, I would just
- 18:15Speaker 1: say that's all against your half, Like if you just
- 18:16Speaker 1: were like, hey, I'm going to Barbados, right, That's what
- 18:19Speaker 1: I'm getting at all out of your is the three
- 18:22Speaker 1: thousand dollars that he took more than half of what
- 18:25Speaker 1: was in the account. That's actually Ross's next question with us.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So you're suing for three thousand dollars he took out
- 18:31Speaker 1: three thousand dollars. Are you saying he should pay back
- 18:34Speaker 1: all three thousand dollars from an account that was fifty
- 18:37Speaker 1: percent his How much is in the account right now?
- 18:42Speaker 1: Kelly says there's no money left in the account. All
- 18:46Speaker 1: all of it was used for medical expenses aside from
- 18:49Speaker 1: the three thousand dollars. He took everything that was left
- 18:52Speaker 1: in the account after we had paid all our medical
- 18:53Speaker 1: expenses and we had broken up, he took that three thousand.
- 18:56Speaker 2: That's what he took.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Ross says, So, after all of the medical they break up,
- 19:01Speaker 1: there's still three thousand dollars in that account and he
- 19:03Speaker 1: wipes it.
- 19:04Speaker 2: He takes it.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yes, Ross says, do you think he owes you three thousand?
- 19:08Speaker 1: She says, technically it's our money. And he says, well,
- 19:11Speaker 1: why are you suing for three thousand? If it's fifty
- 19:13Speaker 1: percent his? Why are you sueing for three thousand?
- 19:15Speaker 2: She says.
- 19:16Speaker 1: He didn't give me the opportunity to talk it out
- 19:18Speaker 1: with him. He's took it without asking. Uh, that was
- 19:22Speaker 1: still our money, and I'm asking for three thousand basically
- 19:24Speaker 1: for what he did to me. I feel like that
- 19:26Speaker 1: was money that we were supposed to spend together and
- 19:28Speaker 1: he took it. And Ross's so it's not going towards
- 19:32Speaker 1: in vitro. Now, Am I just awarding you three grand
- 19:35Speaker 1: as punishment? Is that basically what you're asking me to do.
- 19:38Speaker 1: If it's not going to go towards in vitro, why
- 19:41Speaker 1: do you need all three thous Why is it my
- 19:43Speaker 1: j why should it be my judgment to give you
- 19:44Speaker 1: all three thousand back? Mark, you're not getting back together
- 19:48Speaker 1: with Kelly?
- 19:48Speaker 2: Are you? Do you have any desire to rekindle this
- 19:51Speaker 2: relationship or try again? I would encourage both to not
- 19:55Speaker 2: buckle up for this.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Mark says, actually, your honor, No, I've already been back
- 20:03Speaker 1: out there, and I'm with another woman and she's six
- 20:07Speaker 1: weeks pregnant.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So how's that for low sperm count? He doesn't say that.
- 20:12Speaker 1: He says that he looks at this woman that cannot
- 20:15Speaker 1: get pregnant, and he says, how you like me? Now?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Be He says, so how's that for low sperm count?
- 20:22Speaker 1: That's exactly what he says, buddy, Okay he said that. Okay,
- 20:33Speaker 1: Ross goes, Miss Hans, did you know that? Kelly, trying
- 20:35Speaker 1: to keep herself composing together, shakes her head no, lips trembling,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and says congratulations.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Oh.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Ross says, why'd you wait until now to tell her that?
- 20:46Speaker 1: That seems kind of so cruel? Yes, Mark says, what's cruel?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Your honor is standing here while my masculinity is constantly
- 20:55Speaker 1: being attacked? Oh no, and I took that personally. And
- 21:01Speaker 1: then you walked in and they're just back and forth
- 21:04Speaker 1: yelling at each other. That's when you walk in, they're
- 21:06Speaker 1: just yet they It literally becomes a full on back
- 21:09Speaker 1: and forth yelling and Ross lets it go the whole
- 21:14Speaker 1: time until he finally gables.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Him for order. Okay, they say mean things to each.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Other, very mean things to each other, and then Ross goes,
- 21:21Speaker 1: so you're going to be a dad now, Mark says, yes, sir,
- 21:25Speaker 1: Ross is ready to rule. No, I believe that she
- 21:33Speaker 1: should be awarded fifteen hundred dollars half of three thousand.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I do want to give her the full amount. I
- 21:42Speaker 1: think what he did is wrong obviously. First of all,
- 21:46Speaker 1: you should have talked about it beforehand. Yeah, like you're
- 21:50Speaker 1: not like it seems like he has a little bit
- 21:54Speaker 1: of a an identity problem and whether and and feeling
- 21:59Speaker 1: like a quote unquote man.
- 22:02Speaker 3: It feels like that's something that he seems to struggle with.
- 22:05Speaker 3: And maybe he decided I'm going to take all of
- 22:08Speaker 3: the money. Because I'm the man and I can make
- 22:10Speaker 3: this decision for myself. I want to give her all
- 22:13Speaker 3: of the money. I think he only owes her fifteen hundred,
- 22:17Speaker 3: so I will give.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Her that for the sake of the law.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Justice is not a foreign concept brand and you are
- 22:23Speaker 1: tracking with Ross. Ross gives her fifteen hundred because that
- 22:28Speaker 1: is what the law says.
- 22:29Speaker 2: She is owed.
- 22:30Speaker 1: He does think what he what Mark did was cruel.
- 22:32Speaker 1: He also encourages Kelly that maybe it was probably best
- 22:35Speaker 1: you couldn't have a kid with this guy. And fifteen
- 22:38Speaker 1: hundred dollars is the judgment for Kelly, sayings, that's how we.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Gather Yeah by that time, you know what I mean,
- 22:45Speaker 2: that's a tough one.
- 22:46Speaker 3: It is interesting case for uh, that's of and I
- 22:49Speaker 3: think that's the important we can ask for. Important lesson here,
- 22:52Speaker 3: everybody is if you make sure that before you do
- 22:56Speaker 3: a joint account with somebody you feel really good about.
- 22:59Speaker 2: That's right. You know I've been stealing from you for years.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Well I assumed as much.
