- 0:07Speaker 2: It's not supposed to be a dictatorship.
- 0:09Speaker 3: And that's what we, in my opinion, have right now.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Socialism to me, it means that. you will have whatever
- 0:16Speaker 4: you need to live a dignified life and that it
- 0:19Speaker 4: is the government's job to deliver on this.
- 0:22Speaker 5: Sean Hannity is on right now. And so is his
- 0:27Speaker 5: very popular countdown. T-minus 29 days until election day.

- 0:58Speaker 8: Thank you, Scott.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Shannon, thanks to all of you for being with us.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Happy Monday, if there is such a thing. 800-941-SHAWN if
- 1:05Speaker 2: you want to be a part of the program. 29 days,
- 1:09Speaker 2: the single most important midterm election in our lifetime. I
- 1:14Speaker 2: know what historical trends are. However, these are uncharted waters.
- 1:20Speaker 2: The polling has been atrocious, which we'll get into in
- 1:23Speaker 2: very great detail and specificity. in the course of this
- 1:27Speaker 2: program today. And I just think it is critical that
- 1:32Speaker 2: everybody understand the stakes. They want to shred the Constitution.
- 1:35Speaker 2: If you believe in law and order and you don't
- 1:38Speaker 2: want to open up the prisons and eliminate prisons and
- 1:42Speaker 2: eliminate bail and defund the police and defund the Department
- 1:47Speaker 2: of War and eliminate the Senate and all this madness,
- 1:50Speaker 2: then you can stop it. And these pollsters, they are
- 1:55Speaker 2: trying to disincentivize, they're trying to deflate enthusiasm. There's never
- 2:00Speaker 2: been a polling year that I have witnessed in my
- 2:03Speaker 2: life where the polls have been this atrocious, off by
- 2:07Speaker 2: 20 and 30 points in very key, important primaries, like
- 2:12Speaker 2: in Wisconsin and Michigan in particular. I mean, the one
- 2:15Speaker 2: poll in Michigan... had a couple of polls, had El-Sayed
- 2:19Speaker 2: up by 20 points. He barely won by a point.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Francesca Hong, Wisconsin, was up by as many as 30
- 2:26Speaker 2: in a poll, 20 in many polls or more, and
- 2:31Speaker 2: she lost by 3,000 votes. So you don't know, period. Now,
- 2:36Speaker 2: before we get to our business today, and there's a
- 2:39Speaker 2: lot of business to get to, White House is aware
- 2:43Speaker 2: of a suspected plague outbreak in Russia. And they're monitoring
- 2:48Speaker 2: the situation after a young lab worker was killed and
- 2:52Speaker 2: some 200 others forced into quarantine. Anyway, Daria Shipalova, a
- 3:01Speaker 2: 28-year-old researcher at an anti-plague research institute in Russia's eastern region,
- 3:07Speaker 2: reportedly died after breaking a test tube containing the plague pathogen.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Although Russian officials have refused to say whether or not
- 3:16Speaker 2: she contracted the disease. Here we go again. God help us.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Trump administration is aware of all this. They're monitoring all
- 3:24Speaker 2: of this and assessing the situation. I mean, I'm getting
- 3:28Speaker 2: more afraid of these. You know, this gain of function
- 3:31Speaker 2: research has to stop. I mean, these bio labs have
- 3:35Speaker 2: to stop. They're trying to weaponize, you know, bio weapons
- 3:38Speaker 2: are real. You know, we've seen this in the past
- 3:43Speaker 2: and I'll never forget, there's like sarin gas and all
- 3:46Speaker 2: these other gases that have been used on people. We
- 3:49Speaker 2: saw it in Iraq and Syria and elsewhere. But anyway,
- 3:53Speaker 2: this individual was hospitalized with symptoms of severe pneumonia, placed
- 3:59Speaker 2: on a ventilator, then died Thursday. Linda, your favorite disease, COVID,
- 4:05Speaker 2: apparently is back in big support. I wonder when I had,
- 4:10Speaker 2: you know, a little bit of, You know, two weeks ago,
- 4:14Speaker 2: I wonder if I might. I don't know if I
- 4:15Speaker 2: had it or not. I'm not testing myself again ever.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I'm just not doing it. Although I probably, you know,
- 4:22Speaker 2: if it's as bad as it was, COVID 1.0, which
- 4:25Speaker 2: was the alpha strain, I might test myself of people
- 4:29Speaker 2: dying from it. But now it's basically become a cold.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I don't even think you need Paxil of it anymore.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I really don't. That's my. Well, I'm not telling you
- 4:38Speaker 2: what to do, meaning this audience.
- 4:39Speaker 6: I'm not a doctor.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm not going to play one on radio. Anyway, the
- 4:44Speaker 2: you know, this is sad that I have to report
- 4:46Speaker 2: this news that the next census that determines America's political representation,
- 4:52Speaker 2: billions of dollars in federal funding will take place after
- 4:55Speaker 2: Donald Trump leaves the White House. But his administration is
- 4:59Speaker 2: moving now to leave his mark on the count. And
- 5:01Speaker 2: former Census Bureau officials and advocates are critical of the president.
- 5:07Speaker 2: and are cautioning that some of the changes being put
- 5:10Speaker 2: into place now by the agency could be difficult for
- 5:13Speaker 2: a future administration to reverse in time for the 2030
- 5:18Speaker 2: census count, particularly Trump's attempts to remove undocumented immigrants from
- 5:22Speaker 2: the total count. Why would they be counted when they're
- 5:26Speaker 2: not supposed to be here in the first place? And
- 5:28Speaker 2: the fact that they are counted tells me that we've
- 5:32Speaker 2: had nothing but institutionalized corruption. Based on those counts, congressional
- 5:36Speaker 2: districts of manufacturing, how many districts you'd likely lose in
- 5:41Speaker 2: California alone? If, in fact, they didn't count Gavin Newsom's,
- 5:46Speaker 2: you know, communist California and all the illegals in that
- 5:50Speaker 2: state and all the benefits that we're now learning that
- 5:53Speaker 2: they were hiding, that they've been giving illegals in that state.
- 5:57Speaker 2: By the way, Europe is in a precipitous decline. We've
- 6:01Speaker 2: been telling you that. And finally, somebody standing up to
- 6:04Speaker 2: Great Britain. And they should. The U.S. now has removed
- 6:09Speaker 2: B-1 bombers from a U.K. air base because these idiots
- 6:14Speaker 2: in Great Britain released these suspected terrorists. And anyway, so
- 6:19Speaker 2: this happened at Concerns Reignited after this initial suspected terrorist plot.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And the Royal Air Force... Fairford's base security was called
- 6:29Speaker 2: into question last week. Five British nationals arrested on suspicion
- 6:33Speaker 2: of planning a terrorist attack near the airbase, which has
- 6:36Speaker 2: been used by the U.S. military to launch strikes throughout
- 6:40Speaker 2: the conflict in Iran. Although Great Britain has been of
- 6:43Speaker 2: no help, nor have most of our NATO allies, nor
- 6:46Speaker 2: has France been of any help. You know, it's amazing
- 6:50Speaker 2: that the people that believe in a strong national defense
- 6:53Speaker 2: in terms of Europe, tend to be the former Eastern
- 6:56Speaker 2: Bloc countries, not Western Europe. Western Europe is disintegrating before
- 7:01Speaker 2: our eyes with Western civilization. And what do I mean
- 7:05Speaker 2: by that? When you adopt radical socialism and radical climate
- 7:10Speaker 2: alarmism to the tune that you're even allowing yourself to
- 7:14Speaker 2: become dependent on, you know, quote, your arch rival, Russia,
- 7:19Speaker 2: for so much of your energy needs. That's why Donald
- 7:22Speaker 2: Trump gave Angela Merkel in his first term the white
- 7:25Speaker 2: flag of surrender. She does this multi, multi billion dollar
- 7:29Speaker 2: massive natural gas deal, energy deal with Vladimir Putin. I'm like, yeah, OK.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And he can turn off the spigot anytime he wants
- 7:38Speaker 2: and that he's in control of the lifeblood of your economy.
- 7:41Speaker 2: How stupid can you be? And Europe does have natural
- 7:46Speaker 2: resources where they don't need to be as dependent. But
- 7:49Speaker 2: I mean, they're just so stupid. It's unbelievable. So I'm
- 7:52Speaker 2: glad America decided to do that in a big way.
- 7:57Speaker 2: You know, we talked about this a little bit last week,
- 7:59Speaker 2: and I'm going to bring it up now before I
- 8:02Speaker 2: get into all the political news and the election in
- 8:05Speaker 2: 29 days. So everybody's been talking, and it's all over
- 8:10Speaker 2: social media, and it's become a big, big issue in
- 8:16Speaker 2: terms of the Cornell 7. And I'm following this case
- 8:21Speaker 2: because we have a history on this show of being patient,
- 8:25Speaker 2: not rushing to judgment and working behind the scenes to
- 8:29Speaker 2: get facts and information that other people don't have before
- 8:33Speaker 2: coming out with a strong opinion. Um, the vast majority
- 8:38Speaker 2: of Cornell university's sexual misconduct play claims, um, apparently don't
- 8:45Speaker 2: end up even being investigated. A mere 13% result in
- 8:51Speaker 2: an accused student or staffer getting expelled or dismissed, according
- 8:55Speaker 2: to a new report that came out, that analysis by
- 8:57Speaker 2: USA Today. But it's an even bigger... It's a bigger
- 9:04Speaker 2: issue than that. And I'm just telling everybody out there that.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It's too early to rush to judgment. Let me put
- 9:13Speaker 2: it that way. There are things that bother me on
- 9:17Speaker 2: both sides of the case. The fact that it happened,
- 9:20Speaker 2: I find despicable. Let me start there. And by that,
- 9:26Speaker 2: consensual or not consensual, the way that people conduct themselves,
- 9:32Speaker 2: and this is one of the problems I have with
- 9:34Speaker 2: institutions of higher learning now, and woke colleges now, and
- 9:39Speaker 2: It just is frustrating to me. More kids graduate with
- 9:43Speaker 2: zero life skills and they end up going to college,
- 9:46Speaker 2: spending four years hanging out at frat houses and sorority
- 9:49Speaker 2: houses and more time socializing, going to football games and
- 9:53Speaker 2: getting Adam Schiff faced on weekends and spending very little
- 9:59Speaker 2: time in the classroom. Or if they are in the classroom,
- 10:02Speaker 2: the standards are not particularly high for them. You know,
- 10:06Speaker 2: I'm mad that Kathy Hochul is appointed the, you know,
- 10:10Speaker 2: get Trump attorney general Letitia James to investigate this case
- 10:15Speaker 2: when she has already come out. with an opinion on
- 10:18Speaker 2: this case. I find that really, really disturbing because she's
- 10:23Speaker 2: commented publicly on what she already thinks happened without even
- 10:27Speaker 2: having the facts of the case before her. And I
- 10:30Speaker 2: urge all of you in this audience, look, we got
- 10:33Speaker 2: Duke Lacrosse right. We got Richard Jewell right on this
- 10:36Speaker 2: show when I was a local radio host. We got
- 10:39Speaker 2: Michael Brown Ferguson, Missouri right. We got Freddie Gray in
- 10:43Speaker 2: Baltimore right. We got UVA right. we knew that there
- 10:48Speaker 2: would be eyewitness testimony down in the case Trayvon Martin
- 10:52Speaker 2: and the George Zimmerman case. We got the Russia hoax right.
- 10:56Speaker 2: We got FISA warrants right. We got Hillary's dirty disinformation
- 11:00Speaker 2: Russian dossier right. We got Hillary's servers right where so
- 11:04Speaker 2: many in the media get things wrong, again, because they
- 11:07Speaker 2: rushed to judgment. I did notice the Cornell president says
- 11:10Speaker 2: the university must do better on the handling of sexual
- 11:13Speaker 2: assault allegations. And there's too many questions that I have here.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And I'm going to quote Jonathan Turley. I happen to
- 11:23Speaker 2: be very fond of Jonathan Turley because he's very smart.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And he talked about the seven men drugged and gang
- 11:30Speaker 2: raping the 20-year-old woman, as people are describing this. And
- 11:35Speaker 2: he said that verdict in this case, that was said
- 11:38Speaker 2: by AOC. And she's drawing this chorus of other people
- 11:43Speaker 2: pronouncing AOC. the guilt of these Cornell students. There's too
- 11:47Speaker 2: many inconsistencies here. Not a single witness has testified under
- 11:51Speaker 2: oath publicly, and not a single charge has been brought
- 11:55Speaker 2: against any of these seven. However, if it's Letitia James
- 11:58Speaker 2: with a bias, I can guarantee you that's probably not
- 12:01Speaker 2: far behind. And he said, I want to be clear,
- 12:04Speaker 2: Ocasio-Cortez says, I want to be clear, The culture of rape,
- 12:09Speaker 2: sexual assault, pedophilia is protected in elite institutions across the U.S.,
- 12:13Speaker 2: including Cornell University in this instance, and it has to stop. Well,
- 12:17Speaker 2: she seemed to like Cornell when they were protesting against Israel, etc.
- 12:22Speaker 2: But we have been here before. You might recall the
- 12:27Speaker 2: Duke Lacrosse case. The reason I ended up getting that
- 12:31Speaker 2: case right, I'm going to tell you exactly why. And
- 12:33Speaker 2: the reason I got the Michael Brown case, Ferguson, Missouri
- 12:36Speaker 2: case right, In the case of Duke La Crosse, I
- 12:38Speaker 2: met with some of the families. I met with the parents.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I met with some of the kids. I knew that
- 12:44Speaker 2: there was exculpatory evidence coming. In the case of Michael Brown,
- 12:48Speaker 2: I was told by so many different law enforcement sources
- 12:53Speaker 2: that there were multiple, multiple, many, you know, witnesses, eyewitnesses
- 12:58Speaker 2: that corroborated Officer Darren Wilson's story. That's how we got
- 13:02Speaker 2: that right. And the same thing in Baltimore and Freddie Gray.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You know, The problem starting out, and Jonathan Turley captured this,
- 13:11Speaker 2: is the facts did not fit the allegations, and there
- 13:14Speaker 2: was a total lack of forensic evidence to support the
- 13:18Speaker 2: claim in, for example, Duke La Crosse. And then you
- 13:21Speaker 2: might recall just a couple of years ago, I guess now,
- 13:25Speaker 2: but the woman involved in the Duke La Crosse case
- 13:28Speaker 2: admitted she had flat out lied. Remember, this idiot, Nifong,
- 13:33Speaker 2: was disbarred from And Magnum, who is still not prosecutor
- 13:38Speaker 2: for lying about the students, later went to jail for murder.
- 13:41Speaker 2: But all the politicians, the pundits and the professors there
- 13:46Speaker 2: rushed to judgment and they they half ruined those kids lives.
- 13:49Speaker 2: They didn't care. And conflicts in the testimony in this,
- 13:53Speaker 2: you know, as in the Cornell case, doesn't mean that
- 13:58Speaker 2: there was no rape here. Indeed, there are, you know,
- 14:01Speaker 2: is a stranger case. or a stronger case than Duke Lacrosse,
- 14:06Speaker 2: I think that Jonathan Turley is right on that. Now,
- 14:10Speaker 2: here are the allegations that she was propositioned, this young woman,
- 14:13Speaker 2: to have a threesome and was incapable of consenting. And
- 14:18Speaker 2: she claims she was pressured into snorting ketamine, which is
- 14:22Speaker 2: a drug she'd never done before. And then she claims
- 14:24Speaker 2: the two fraternity brothers began engaging in sexual acts with
- 14:27Speaker 2: her without her consent, including forced oral sex and vaginal intercourse.
- 14:33Speaker 2: et cetera, et cetera. She alleges that all of this
- 14:37Speaker 2: happened again in another room and then claimed that she
- 14:40Speaker 2: was slapped, you know, multiple times, resulting in bruising and
- 14:44Speaker 2: claims unwanted kissing and groping, et cetera. And the complaint
- 14:49Speaker 2: alleged that there was a message sent at approximately 142
- 14:52Speaker 2: into the fraternity's Snapchat group. which is called Chi Phi
- 15:00Speaker 2: Actives in which active fraternity members are present. And, you know,
- 15:04Speaker 2: using a vernacular term that there was this opportunity. I
- 15:09Speaker 2: won't use the street vernacular referring to Jane Doe. And
- 15:13Speaker 2: she says that multiple others entered the room at that
- 15:16Speaker 2: point and she hid her naked body under the covers.
- 15:19Speaker 2: And one of the fraternity members poured a line of
- 15:21Speaker 2: ketamine on to you know, his private parts and commanded
- 15:25Speaker 2: she snorted and all of this. I mean, there's a
- 15:27Speaker 2: lot going on here. And then she, you know, then there's,
- 15:31Speaker 2: you know, talk about, but I haven't seen it. It
- 15:34Speaker 2: wasn't in the complaint that other text messages went out
- 15:37Speaker 2: to the guys saying, well, I didn't mind that part
- 15:40Speaker 2: of it. I just wish it didn't get as big
- 15:42Speaker 2: as it did. I don't know. And that's what I'm
- 15:44Speaker 2: going to hear to tell you. I don't know. And
- 15:47Speaker 2: I'm urging people to withhold judgment until more facts are
- 15:50Speaker 2: out there. I don't like it either way. I'll tell
- 15:54Speaker 2: you that part. Listen, what have I always said? If
- 15:58Speaker 2: you find your purpose in life, what God, the talent
- 16:01Speaker 2: God gave you, that is the ultimate in life. When
- 16:03Speaker 2: you combine that with a great academic institution, it is
- 16:07Speaker 2: the ultimate. And that's where Regent University comes in. Look,
- 16:10Speaker 2: for nearly 50 years, Regent has been equipping Christian leaders
- 16:14Speaker 2: with high-level academic education so that they can find their
- 16:18Speaker 2: God-given talent and bring it to use and serve our
- 16:20Speaker 2: community and our country. But there's an equally unique and
- 16:23Speaker 2: important component to this, and that is faith. And region
- 16:26Speaker 2: is a great choice. If you're a parent, a grandparent,
- 16:29Speaker 2: you're playing a part in the financial or otherwise helping
- 16:32Speaker 2: your young people and your family decide what college they
- 16:36Speaker 2: should be attending. And those that are concerned, rightly so,
- 16:39Speaker 2: with indoctrination, colleges moving to pass, fail. They don't even
- 16:43Speaker 2: want academic excellence anymore. Regent is an excellent choice. I
- 16:47Speaker 2: know because I know kids that graduated from there, and
- 16:49Speaker 2: I know people that have taken their online learning courses there.
- 16:53Speaker 2: You can get a degree wherever you live, online, law school,
- 16:57Speaker 2: whatever you want, and it's a great place. They emphasize integrity, character, leadership,
- 17:02Speaker 2: a sense of purpose. Anyway, be your best self. Never
- 17:06Speaker 2: stop learning. Wherever you are in life, you can have
- 17:09Speaker 2: in-person learning or online learning. Just go to regent.edu, regent.edu,
- 17:15Speaker 2: Regent University Christian Leadership to change the world.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Keeping the truth alive.
- 17:28Speaker 5: And it is on right now.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Hey, I've been talking about realestateoptionsnow.com for a while. I've
- 17:43Speaker 2: had a lot of people asking me why I tell
- 17:46Speaker 2: them to go there first if they're selling or buying

- 17:52Speaker 2: a long time. I study it all over our great country.

- 18:14Speaker 2: my team and my partners at realestateoptionsnow.com, they have found
- 18:18Speaker 2: the best agents coast to coast. These are the agents

- 18:40Speaker 9: In a recent TV commercial, you may have seen my
- 18:42Speaker 9: mother talking very favorably about her decision to switch from
- 18:46Speaker 9: big wireless to Pure Talk. For the record, that really
- 18:50Speaker 9: is my mother, and she really is delighted with Pure Talk,
- 18:53Speaker 9: and she's not alone. In fact, in a recent survey
- 18:56Speaker 9: of 120,000 wireless customers, PureTalk was the only wireless company
- 19:01Speaker 9: in the country to get 5 out of 5 stars
- 19:04Speaker 9: in every category. Coverage, support, value, and data. Stop overpaying
- 19:10Speaker 9: for subpar service and do what mom did.
- 19:12Speaker 6: Switch to PureTalk.
- 19:14Speaker 10: It's easy.
- 19:15Speaker 9: Just dial pound 250, say micro. and you'll save an
- 19:18Speaker 9: additional 50% off your first month. I'm talking about unlimited
- 19:22Speaker 9: high-speed data for just $ 34.
- 19:24Speaker 11: 99 a month.
- 19:25Speaker 9: Don't take it from me. Take it from my mom.
- 19:28Speaker 9: Or better yet, take it from over 120,000 wireless customers.
- 19:32Speaker 9: Dial pound 250, say Mike Rowe, and welcome to a
- 19:35Speaker 9: genuine five-star American wireless company.
- 19:38Speaker 12: Pure Talk. Pure Talk.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Here in Ohio, we've got town's news, weather, and talk station,
- 19:48Speaker 3: 570 WK.
- 19:51Speaker 2: What have i been saying about the polls this year
- 19:53Speaker 2: i say don't trust them i've never seen worse polling
- 19:57Speaker 2: in my entire life 29 days until the single most
- 20:00Speaker 2: important midterm you can shock the world if everybody that
- 20:04Speaker 2: listens to this radio show watches my tv show if
- 20:08Speaker 2: you vote you will make the difference And that would
- 20:12Speaker 2: shock the world. Wouldn't it be great to see angry
- 20:14Speaker 2: liberals for a long time? Anyway, we'll get to your
- 20:16Speaker 2: calls coming up. Also, why are they going after attorneys
- 20:19Speaker 2: generals around the country? And much, much more. 800-941-SHAWN is
- 20:24Speaker 2: our number as we continue.
- 20:33Speaker 6: Have you heard the news? A promise.
- 20:35Speaker 3: If Republicans win the House and Senate in November, I will.
- 20:39Speaker 13: Issue a dividend to every adult citizen in.
- 20:42Speaker 3: The United States of America.
- 20:43Speaker 6: $ 5, 000.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Go woke, go broke. Believe in something. That's Colin Kaepernick
- 20:49Speaker 3: in a Nike ad. Even if it means sacrificing everything. Well,
- 20:52Speaker 3: Nike sacrificed 78% of their value.
- 20:55Speaker 12: I want to be remembered.
- 20:55Speaker 3: A year ago, we lost Charlie Kirk for courage for
- 20:58Speaker 3: my face.
- 20:58Speaker 12: Check in often.
- 20:59Speaker 3: News Radio 570 WKBS.
- 21:05Speaker 14: At this hour, Caleb Flynn, the man convicted of killing
- 21:08Speaker 14: his wife in Miami County, waiting to hear his sentence
- 21:10Speaker 14: likely to be life in prison without parole. He possibly
- 21:14Speaker 14: will never see his two young girls again. Flynn shot
- 21:17Speaker 14: his wife twice as she slept in their home in
- 21:19Speaker 14: Tip City to try to get out of his marriage.
- 21:22Speaker 14: Seven Ohio counties are getting federal disaster aid. FEMA has
- 21:25Speaker 14: granted assistance for areas impacted by the severe weather in August,
- 21:29Speaker 14: including in central Ohio, Franklin and Licking Counties. Flooding and
- 21:33Speaker 14: tornadoes damage homes and businesses there. Ohio State wide receiver
- 21:37Speaker 14: Jeremiah Smith is now the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy.
- 21:40Speaker 14: That's according to three sports betting sites. Smith set two
- 21:45Speaker 14: more career records in Saturday's big win over Iowa. And
- 21:48Speaker 14: local county boys of election offices are open until 9
- 21:51Speaker 14: tonight if you want to register to vote for the midterms.
- 21:53Speaker 14: I'm Sandy Collins.
- 21:55Speaker 15: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 21:58Speaker 15: and sports radio.
- 22:00Speaker 6: Podcasts, too.
- 22:01Speaker 10: Download the app.
- 22:02Speaker 16: Free.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Never sounded so good.
- 22:04Speaker 1: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 22:08Speaker 1: one-day baths.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Pretty quiet ride on the highways.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Not seen it.
- 22:12Speaker 3: NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 22:19Speaker 5: Listen to this show one time, and you're hannitized.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Sean Hannity is back on the radio.
- 22:27Speaker 2: All right, 25 to the top of the hour this Monday,
- 22:30Speaker 2: 800-941-SEAN is our number. You want to be a part
- 22:33Speaker 2: of the program. Look, everybody needs a home security system.
- 22:37Speaker 2: You just do. You don't want a system, a traditional
- 22:42Speaker 2: security system, that will tell you that a break-in occurred.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Mr. and Mrs. Linda.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Your home has been broken into. All right, that's too
- 22:51Speaker 2: little information, too late. No, you want a proactive system,
- 22:57Speaker 2: and that's where SimpliSafe Home Security comes in. And look,
- 23:01Speaker 2: a break-in leaves a mark, even if nothing's taken, because
- 23:04Speaker 2: the moment your home stops feeling like yours or it's vulnerable,
- 23:09Speaker 2: your home should be your sanctuary. And that's the difference
- 23:12Speaker 2: between SimpliSafe and these traditional security systems. This is why
- 23:16Speaker 2: SimpliSafe When they first started on this program at 10 employees,
- 23:20Speaker 2: now they've got thousands. And millions and millions and millions
- 23:24Speaker 2: of Americans trust SimpliSafe Home Security. And this is why.
- 23:27Speaker 2: It's proactive. Now, you get to design your own system online.
- 23:31Speaker 2: When you go to SimpliSafe.com slash Hannity, go there. You
- 23:34Speaker 2: design your system. Make sure you include coverage of the
- 23:38Speaker 2: entire perimeter of your home. And that means the second
- 23:41Speaker 2: that somebody even steps onto your property online, Simply safe.
- 23:45Speaker 2: They have 24-7, 365 live monitoring agents. You pay about
- 23:50Speaker 2: a buck a day for those agents. That's it. And
- 23:54Speaker 2: in real time, those agents will be notified, be able
- 23:57Speaker 2: to talk to whoever is on your property. They can
- 24:00Speaker 2: call police in real time, call you in real time,
- 24:03Speaker 2: put on spotlights in real time. That's the difference. Before
- 24:06Speaker 2: they get near any door, any window, before they ever
- 24:09Speaker 2: get inside your home, They use the latest, greatest, best technology,
- 24:13Speaker 2: smart AI-powered outdoor cameras that will detect any suspicious activity
- 24:18Speaker 2: at the perimeter of your home, and those agents then
- 24:21Speaker 2: step in on your behalf. Again, millions and millions of
- 24:24Speaker 2: Americans now trust, as I do, SimpliSafe Home Security. Right now,
- 24:29Speaker 2: you'll get 60% off with professional monitoring when you go
- 24:32Speaker 2: to simplisafe.com slash Hannity. That's simplisafe.com slash Hannity when you
- 24:39Speaker 2: order now. Tell them your friend Sean Hannity sent you.
- 24:42Speaker 2: And you know what? Protect your home. It should be
- 24:44Speaker 2: your oasis. Donald Trump. Now, we'll get into this more
- 24:47Speaker 2: at the top of the next hour. He's saying polls
- 24:49Speaker 2: don't account for one thing. They don't. Now, there are
- 24:53Speaker 2: people that would like to disincentivize, deflate your optimism, your
- 24:59Speaker 2: belief that somehow we can defy historical trends and win
- 25:04Speaker 2: this midterm election. I am telling you. we can win
- 25:08Speaker 2: this midterm election. I don't know how to say it
- 25:10Speaker 2: any other way, but for that to happen, it's going
- 25:13Speaker 2: to take everybody, everybody to get out and vote. Now,
- 25:17Speaker 2: if you voted in 2024 and you don't want these
- 25:21Speaker 2: radicals getting in power with their insane agenda, well, you're
- 25:25Speaker 2: going to have to do your part. It's not going
- 25:28Speaker 2: to happen automatically. And then otherwise we're going to be
- 25:31Speaker 2: undoing the damage. I'm not going away. You know, look, I've,
- 25:36Speaker 2: I had four years of Biden, Harris, Mayorkas. It sucked.
- 25:40Speaker 2: We're still cleaning up the mess that they left this country.
- 25:44Speaker 2: But with that said, you know, you don't leave the fight,
- 25:48Speaker 2: but you can prevent a disaster from happening. And the
- 25:53Speaker 2: way you prevent it is doing your part. That's all
- 25:55Speaker 2: I'm asking you to do. And if everybody votes, you
- 25:58Speaker 2: can do it. There's not one Republican that is supporting
- 26:01Speaker 2: this insane, you know, DSA agenda. Not a single one.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I don't know one Republican that wants to eliminate the Senate.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Not one Republican that doesn't want you to choose presidents.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Not one Republican that wants to pack the courts. I
- 26:15Speaker 2: don't know one that voted, well, maybe two, voted against
- 26:18Speaker 2: the largest tax cut in American history. But every Republican wanted,
- 26:23Speaker 2: doesn't think we're an undertaxed nation. They think we're overtaxed,
- 26:26Speaker 2: rightly so. There's not one Republican that wants amnesty for
- 26:30Speaker 2: illegals and to abolish borders and abolish ICE and to
- 26:34Speaker 2: end all deportation.
- 26:35Speaker 6: Not one.
- 26:36Speaker 2: There's not one Republican that wants to defund the Department
- 26:40Speaker 2: of War. Not a single one. There's not one Republican
- 26:43Speaker 2: that wants to eliminate cash bail, abolish prisons, and abolish
- 26:46Speaker 2: the police. There's not one Republican that believes in the
- 26:52Speaker 2: very definition of socialism, which is public ownership of corporations. Now,
- 26:57Speaker 2: one Republican wants a wealth tax or feels that they
- 27:00Speaker 2: have a right to punish success and to remove liberty
- 27:04Speaker 2: and freedom and a meritocracy where you take your God-given
- 27:08Speaker 2: talents as high as you want to take them.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Not one.
- 27:11Speaker 2: They don't want a wealth tax and they don't want
- 27:13Speaker 2: a phony promise of cradle to grave, womb to the tomb.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Everything is going to be covered by government. Not one.
- 27:21Speaker 2: And I'm just telling you, this is what the Democrats
- 27:24Speaker 2: are pushing. You know, if you do that, then, you know,
- 27:27Speaker 2: we're going to forget the fact that Hispanic and African-American
- 27:31Speaker 2: poverty now is at an all time low and that
- 27:33Speaker 2: incomes for the lowest 25 percent rose to the highest
- 27:38Speaker 2: level ever in this term of Donald Trump. Median income
- 27:41Speaker 2: rose to its highest level ever. Eighty seven thousand six
- 27:44Speaker 2: hundred over 80 records in the stock market that have
- 27:48Speaker 2: been set, you know, or the fact that the president
- 27:51Speaker 2: literally closed the border and and with it designated a
- 27:55Speaker 2: lot of these Latin American cartels as terrorist groups, and
- 27:59Speaker 2: then had the fentanyl act that he signed into law,
- 28:01Speaker 2: the Halt Fentanyl Act, or that we've had the lowest
- 28:05Speaker 2: murder rate last year than we ever had in the
- 28:07Speaker 2: history of this country, and it's going even lower this year,
- 28:12Speaker 2: and that includes murder lowest rate, violent crime lowest rates,
- 28:17Speaker 2: rapes down to its lowest rate, and going down even
- 28:20Speaker 2: more this year from last year's records. 10 out of
- 28:23Speaker 2: the 10 most wanted FBI fugitives caught getting rid of
- 28:27Speaker 2: DEI insanity in the country. You know, all of this
- 28:32Speaker 2: is going to come to a screeching halt. Democrats are
- 28:35Speaker 2: only going to focus on impeachment, impeachment. I hate Trump.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I hate Trump more than you hate Trump. There's going
- 28:40Speaker 2: to be a contest. I don't know what these people
- 28:42Speaker 2: are going to do in two and a half years
- 28:44Speaker 2: when Trump isn't around to hate anymore. I guess they'll
- 28:47Speaker 2: still just keep hating him anyway, blaming him anyway. The
- 28:50Speaker 2: largest domestic oil and gas production we hit last year
- 28:54Speaker 2: and we're hitting new highs this year. Millions of acres
- 28:58Speaker 2: open for oil, gas and coal, not only exploration, but production.
- 29:05Speaker 2: The president, you know, looking to build peace. We don't
- 29:08Speaker 2: have a nuclear armed Iran that will hand off to
- 29:10Speaker 2: our kids and our grandkids. The largest deregulation movement in
- 29:13Speaker 2: the history of the country. You know, the president now.
- 29:18Speaker 2: working on, again, not only the largest tax cuts in history,
- 29:21Speaker 2: no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax
- 29:25Speaker 2: on Social Security. That's, you know, promises made, promises kept.
- 29:30Speaker 2: You know, J.D. Vance told me last week $ 19 trillion
- 29:33Speaker 2: in committed monies for manufacturing in the country. I mean,
- 29:37Speaker 2: this is real, and this is happening. Who do you
- 29:40Speaker 2: want in power? Because that's on the ballot in 29 days.
- 29:44Speaker 2: It's all happening in 29 days. And we'll end up
- 29:49Speaker 2: getting the government we deserve. And you'll say, well, I
- 29:51Speaker 2: don't deserve it, Hannity. I'm going out and vote. Well,
- 29:54Speaker 2: try to get your friends, your neighbors, your family, your
- 29:57Speaker 2: coworkers involved. And maybe not everybody's happy with everything that
- 30:01Speaker 2: the president's done. That's possible. Maybe everybody's not happy with
- 30:06Speaker 2: everything your congressman or congresswoman has done. That's legitimate. I
- 30:11Speaker 2: have plenty of criticisms for plenty of Republican congressmen and senators. However,
- 30:17Speaker 2: none of them are supporting this insanity. And don't let
- 30:21Speaker 2: these polls impact you at all. By the way, a
- 30:25Speaker 2: little Republican... infighting ted cruz i noticed firing back at
- 30:29Speaker 2: jd vance for suggesting he's already gearing up for a
- 30:34Speaker 2: 2028 bid uh blasting the vp is insecure vance you
- 30:39Speaker 2: know my experience people encourage engage in political bomb throwing
- 30:44Speaker 2: when they're feeling insecure do i think ted cruz is
- 30:47Speaker 2: maybe gearing up maybe i don't know for sure but
- 30:50Speaker 2: i would not be surprised um but we'll see what
- 30:53Speaker 2: happens uh anyway um I noticed that the secretary of war,
- 30:59Speaker 2: Pete Hegseth, has ordered commanders to set aside a day
- 31:02Speaker 2: this month for troops to register, request absentee ballots and
- 31:06Speaker 2: to vote. Which, by the way, we should go out
- 31:10Speaker 2: of our way to help these military men and women
- 31:13Speaker 2: that are serving abroad to vote as much as we can.
- 31:17Speaker 2: They're serving our country. They have as much at stake
- 31:20Speaker 2: in this as anybody. pollster Lee Carter says polls say
- 31:25Speaker 2: Democrats could swamp Republicans. She says, as a pollster, I
- 31:30Speaker 2: have a question. You know, and she cites the headlines.
- 31:33Speaker 2: A blue wave is coming. A blue tsunami is coming.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Democrats may want to stop ordering yard signs and start
- 31:39Speaker 2: ordering life jackets. I look, I get it. And she says, yeah,
- 31:44Speaker 2: there are plenty of polls that are good for Democrats.
- 31:47Speaker 2: But most of these polls, to be very, very blunt here,
- 31:50Speaker 2: are not people that have ever polled anything involving Donald
- 31:53Speaker 2: Trump well, ever, in the last three presidential election cycles. And,
- 31:59Speaker 2: you know, if you look at President Trump's approval rating, OK,
- 32:03Speaker 2: you can say, like most presidents at this point in
- 32:06Speaker 2: their term, they struggle a little bit. I don't think
- 32:09Speaker 2: that it doesn't matter. I don't think MAGA voters are
- 32:12Speaker 2: going anywhere. I think the question is, will they be
- 32:15Speaker 2: motivated enough and understand the moment? This is an inflection
- 32:19Speaker 2: point for the country. This this you know, what do
- 32:21Speaker 2: you want to hear on election night or the next
- 32:24Speaker 2: day or the next or early in the morning when
- 32:28Speaker 2: you hear the words Fox News can project? How do
- 32:31Speaker 2: you want that sentence to end? Because you get to end,
- 32:34Speaker 2: you know, one of, I guess, three ways. One is
- 32:37Speaker 2: the Democrats have taken control of the House and Senate.
- 32:41Speaker 2: It could end with. That Republican, the Democrats have taken
- 32:46Speaker 2: over one house and not the other, not You know,
- 32:49Speaker 2: the Republicans will maintain control of the Senate or Republicans
- 32:53Speaker 2: have shocked the world. You know, Democrats, by the way,
- 32:56Speaker 2: are so desperate. You know, they've now poured over three
- 32:59Speaker 2: million dollars because the campaign of this guy, Troy Jackson,
- 33:04Speaker 2: is just disintegrating. Notice Abdul El-Sayed is on with Martha McCallum.
- 33:10Speaker 2: We'll have Martha on tonight. And this this guy's just
- 33:14Speaker 2: slick is what I see. Just slick. You can't justify
- 33:19Speaker 2: who El-Sayed is. I'm going to get into this later today.
- 33:23Speaker 2: I'll tell you more about it tonight on the show. But,
- 33:28Speaker 2: you know, I think some races are going to be
- 33:31Speaker 2: hard to win. I think Steve Hilton has an uphill
- 33:34Speaker 2: fight in California because so many people have left California.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I'm beginning to wonder if, you know, some of the
- 33:41Speaker 2: people in a state like Texas aren't influenced necessarily by
- 33:46Speaker 2: the fact that so many Californians have packed up and
- 33:48Speaker 2: they've gone to Texas. Remember we were chronicling for a
- 33:51Speaker 2: long time the cost of a U-Haul? If you take
- 33:54Speaker 2: it to California, to Texas, the average price at the
- 33:58Speaker 2: time we were doing the story was about $ 2, 500 one
- 34:01Speaker 2: way to Texas. But if you took a U-Haul from
- 34:04Speaker 2: Texas to California, you were basically doing U-Haul a favor.
- 34:09Speaker 2: And you can get it for like $ 300 or $ 400
- 34:12Speaker 2: in the other direction because so many people were only
- 34:14Speaker 2: coming one way. And so it's better that you all
- 34:18Speaker 2: get some money for the drive back. And that's why
- 34:21Speaker 2: it was so, so cheap.
- 34:23Speaker 12: Pretty amazing.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Now you got this radical left and, you know, they're
- 34:28Speaker 2: all now trying to change. You got Telefrico, you know,
- 34:32Speaker 2: this guy can't make up his mind. I mean, he's
- 34:35Speaker 2: been trying to run away from six genders and God
- 34:37Speaker 2: is non-binary and biological men playing women's sports and There's
- 34:42Speaker 2: a New York Post article that Telefrico held a New
- 34:45Speaker 2: York City fundraiser hosted by leaders of a group that
- 34:49Speaker 2: supports gender surgery and transition drugs for minors. I'm reading
- 34:54Speaker 2: directly from the New York Post weeks after insisting that
- 34:57Speaker 2: he opposes these controversial practices. Anyway, September 8th, Fox News
- 35:03Speaker 2: interview the Democratic state legislator facing Republican Texas attorney Ken Paxton.
- 35:10Speaker 2: in this important race in Texas. And the 37-year-old claimed
- 35:15Speaker 2: he's been consistent on the issue, even though we have
- 35:18Speaker 2: played him on both sides of the issues. Then he
- 35:22Speaker 2: goes to this fundraiser in later September. This was, what
- 35:26Speaker 2: was the date of this? The date was September 29th.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I mean, just last week. And the reception's host included
- 35:37Speaker 2: Morgan Cox. I don't know who the hell that is.
- 35:40Speaker 2: who sits on the HRC Board of Directors. That's the
- 35:45Speaker 2: name of this group. And anyway, and another guy who
- 35:51Speaker 2: serves as their foundation board of directors and former U.S.
- 35:54Speaker 2: ambassador to Spain, who sits on both these boards. Anyway,
- 35:59Speaker 2: they are the nation's largest LGBTQ political lobbying group. And
- 36:06Speaker 2: in a guide published by their foundation, the organization notes
- 36:09Speaker 2: that puberty blocking drugs can be given to adolescents and
- 36:13Speaker 2: that some trans youth may benefit from gender affirming surgery,
- 36:18Speaker 2: which is really an option under the age of 17.
- 36:21Speaker 2: This is insane. I mean, if you can't buy a
- 36:24Speaker 2: beer at 17, you ought not be able to do
- 36:27Speaker 2: this operation at 17. It's really that simple. It's not
- 36:31Speaker 2: that difficult, not that hard. But that's this. This is
- 36:35Speaker 2: now what we're living through. Look, the Democrats cannot be
- 36:39Speaker 2: honest and run any longer on the DSA platform. And
- 36:43Speaker 2: the reason is, is the polling is not showing that
- 36:46Speaker 2: it's doing well.
- 36:46Speaker 17: All right.
- 36:47Speaker 2: So what's what? Where did they get their marching orders from?
- 36:50Speaker 2: That's where they got them from AOC. What did AOC
- 36:53Speaker 2: tell them? No, that's woke 1.0 crazy. I didn't believe
- 36:57Speaker 2: what I was saying. Now, if you believe that, then
- 37:01Speaker 2: you're believing the big lie, you know, the she was
- 37:04Speaker 2: telling the truth in the beginning. You know, Bernie Sanders,
- 37:08Speaker 2: nobody wants to defund the police. It's right on the
- 37:10Speaker 2: DSA website. He knows it's on the website. At some point,
- 37:14Speaker 2: it's going to be scrubbed from that website. It's only
- 37:17Speaker 2: a matter of when. I thought it probably would have
- 37:19Speaker 2: happened by now. So, okay, then you see all these
- 37:23Speaker 2: candidates from Abdul El-Sayed. Oh, Hassan Piker is some, what
- 37:29Speaker 2: does he call him, Linda? Some podcaster, some blogger. What
- 37:34Speaker 2: is he, what Jason said again?
- 37:35Speaker 16: Some streamer from California.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Oh, the streamer from California. Let's stop talking about this guy.
- 37:41Speaker 2: The streamer from California was invited on the campaign trail
- 37:45Speaker 2: by Abdul El-Sayed himself, according to Hasan Piker. Now, either
- 37:51Speaker 2: you believe that or you don't believe that. I mean,
- 37:55Speaker 2: it's just, and then Telerico is trying to say he
- 37:58Speaker 2: doesn't believe in six genders anymore. I guess my math
- 38:00Speaker 2: was wrong. You know, but he makes all of these
- 38:03Speaker 2: decisions on biblical grounds. Well, the Bible says God created
- 38:07Speaker 2: man and woman. It doesn't talk anything about six genders
- 38:11Speaker 2: or that God has done binary. OK, well, excuse me.
- 38:15Speaker 2: It does say in the Bible, although he says he's
- 38:19Speaker 2: a Christian that hates Christians on top of every other
- 38:22Speaker 2: weird position he has. You know, look, people in Texas,
- 38:26Speaker 2: you better wake up because Democrats are pouring hundreds of
- 38:30Speaker 2: millions of dollars into To fill the airwaves with garbage
- 38:33Speaker 2: in Texas. Just like they're trying to help El Sayed.
- 38:36Speaker 2: And just like they're trying to help every other radical
- 38:38Speaker 2: in the country.
- 38:40Speaker 9: All right.
- 38:41Speaker 2: I don't know where the time flies by. 800-941-SHAWN if
- 38:44Speaker 2: you want to be a part of the program.
- 38:46Speaker 6: All right.
- 38:47Speaker 2: You're not going to believe this. Let's say if your
- 38:50Speaker 2: phone rings and it's your bank or you think it's
- 38:52Speaker 2: your bank. They know your name, your address, the last

- 42:34Speaker 21: He and the vice president visiting states typically friendly to

- 42:55Speaker 21: Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
- 42:57Speaker 22: We're in a situation right now where we could have
- 43:00Speaker 22: chosen peace, and instead we chose war.
- 43:02Speaker 21: The Democratic nominee for Senate in Michigan, Abdul Al-Sayed, also
- 43:06Speaker 21: just telling Fox's Martha McCallum, the conflict is part of

- 43:11Speaker 22: Do you think that you're better off? Now, after two
- 43:15Speaker 22: years of Donald Trump, do you think that your gas

- 43:20Speaker 22: that this war is justifiable or the terrorists in Canada?
- 43:23Speaker 21: Also insisting again, the race is not about his relationship

- 48:46Speaker 2: part of the program. So we're 29 days till the
- 48:51Speaker 2: all-important midterm elections. We've had the worst polling in the
- 48:56Speaker 2: primaries I've ever seen in my lifetime. Francesca Hong was
- 49:00Speaker 2: supposed to win by as many as 30 points, anywhere
- 49:04Speaker 2: between 20 and 30 points. Al Sayed up to 20 points.
- 49:09Speaker 2: In the case of Francesca Hong, she lost by 3,000 votes,
- 49:14Speaker 2: and Abdul El-Sayed barely hung on by a a point
- 49:19Speaker 2: in his race in Michigan. We are following the following states, Michigan, Texas, Ohio, Kansas.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Minnesota is now in play. Iowa, Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire.
- 49:37Speaker 2: North Carolina, Georgia, and we're following it all. Now, the
- 49:41Speaker 2: polling has been atrocious. And what I've been telling people,
- 49:43Speaker 2: all of those of you listening, is don't pay attention
- 49:46Speaker 2: to the polls because you can't trust them. Anyway, with
- 49:49Speaker 2: that said, I mean, we have Robert K. Haley of Trafalgar.
- 49:54Speaker 2: You have Matt Towery, Insider Advantage. You have John McLaughlin,
- 49:59Speaker 2: McLaughlin & Associates, Rasmussen, to a certain extent, have done
- 50:03Speaker 2: a pretty good job of nailing Donald Trump polling. The
- 50:07Speaker 2: rest of them, they've been atrocious. What they usually do
- 50:10Speaker 2: is is at this time, you know, 29 days out
- 50:14Speaker 2: of an election, you're going to read every bad poll
- 50:15Speaker 2: you can possibly read. And I think the reason is,
- 50:20Speaker 2: is they want to deflate people's incentive. They either like
- 50:23Speaker 2: to create over exuberance and a false sense of confidence
- 50:27Speaker 2: or they want to deflate people's motivation. What's the point
- 50:30Speaker 2: of voting? This this race is gone. Just look at
- 50:33Speaker 2: the polls. Well, you can't say that in this year. frankly,
- 50:36Speaker 2: or any year. So with that said, it is a
- 50:39Speaker 2: good idea to look at what Republicans, what the president
- 50:43Speaker 2: should be messaging in these last 29 days. Anyway, Matt
- 50:47Speaker 2: Towery of Insider Advantage is with us. John McLaughlin is
- 50:52Speaker 2: with us. By the way, Matt has a new book out,
- 50:56Speaker 2: The Honoring of Ignorance. We have a link on Hannity.com
- 51:00Speaker 2: and welcome both of you to the program. Thanks for
- 51:04Speaker 2: being with us.
- 51:05Speaker 11: Thank you, Sean.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Matt, anything I'm saying about the polling in this cycle
- 51:09Speaker 2: and in past cycles that's wrong?
- 51:11Speaker 31: No.
- 51:11Speaker 32: I mean, one of the things is John didn't get
- 51:13Speaker 32: enough credit because he's also the president's pollster. So sometimes
- 51:16Speaker 32: we don't include him because people will say, oh, well,
- 51:18Speaker 32: he's not biased.
- 51:19Speaker 11: He's just accurate.
- 51:20Speaker 32: That's why he's the president's pollster. We've done a pretty
- 51:23Speaker 32: good job, and I think we're going to do a
- 51:25Speaker 32: good job this year. I want to point out something
- 51:27Speaker 32: that's going on, though, Sean. We are seeing these polls,
- 51:30Speaker 32: an avalanche of polls, showing– Democrats are crushing Republicans all
- 51:34Speaker 32: over the place, and now the governor's races look like
- 51:37Speaker 32: they're all going Democratic. There are a couple of things.
- 51:40Speaker 32: First of all, most of these polls are always off
- 51:42Speaker 32: and skewed to the side of the Democrats. We know
- 51:44Speaker 32: that by large percentage points. The second thing we're seeing,
- 51:47Speaker 32: and I'd be interested to see if John's getting the
- 51:49Speaker 32: same thing, We're seeing the highest voter intensity, the most
- 51:53Speaker 32: enthusiastic voters among seniors, and I've not seen that in
- 51:56Speaker 32: a long time at this level. They're voting Republican. The
- 51:59Speaker 32: least enthusiastic are young people who are supposedly going to
- 52:03Speaker 32: go in there and tear everything apart and put the
- 52:05Speaker 32: Democrats in the office. So when you start re-waiting for that,
- 52:08Speaker 32: and by the way, independent voters who are going Democrat
- 52:11Speaker 32: this year, they're not enthusiastic about voting either. So if
- 52:15Speaker 32: you re-wait these polls based on who's actually going to
- 52:17Speaker 32: come to the polls themselves and vote, you're going to
- 52:20Speaker 32: see the Republicans being a lot closer than these polls
- 52:22Speaker 32: are showing. I mean, we're following House districts, like a
- 52:25Speaker 32: little House district in Florida, HD60 and Georgia Senate 48.
- 52:30Speaker 32: These are 50-50 races, and we're going to sit there
- 52:32Speaker 32: and see what the party does. How do they turn
- 52:35Speaker 32: people out for their races? Because it's that local level
- 52:37Speaker 32: that also drives the Senate races and the gubernatorial races.
- 52:41Speaker 2: Let's get your broad overview, John McLaughlin.
- 52:44Speaker 11: Sean, I think you hit the nail on the head
- 52:46Speaker 11: when you said that, you know, in a way that
- 52:48Speaker 11: these manufactured polls by the mainstream media, they try to
- 52:51Speaker 11: suppress our vote. So, like, when I see the RealClearPolitics average,
- 52:55Speaker 11: I end up looking for insider advantage. I look for
- 52:58Speaker 11: Matt's surveys. I look for Robert's surveys. I look for
- 53:00Speaker 11: the other ones. I mean, there's a poll that came
- 53:02Speaker 11: out yesterday, you know, at CBS News. They did with YouGov. YouGov,
- 53:07Speaker 11: they don't even print, like, who they voted for for
- 53:09Speaker 11: president in 24. They have 2,166 adults. adults. They can
- 53:14Speaker 11: be illegal immigrants. They're not even registered voters. They don't
- 53:18Speaker 11: even screen for likely voters. They, uh, um, you know,
- 53:22Speaker 11: so they, they basically normally you gov when they print
- 53:26Speaker 11: an online survey has only the last time they printed
- 53:29Speaker 11: it was only 38% Trump voters. We got 50, we
- 53:32Speaker 11: got 50%. And you're seeing like the New York times,
- 53:35Speaker 11: they'll have Republic, they'll have a, uh, When they printed
- 53:40Speaker 11: the Trump voters, they had in Texas, they had the
- 53:42Speaker 11: Trump voters up seven over Harris voters as a demographic.
- 53:46Speaker 11: Trump won the state by 14. So you're seeing the
- 53:49Speaker 11: same thing that we saw when they had the Hillary
- 53:51Speaker 11: lock and the Biden blew away. That race was only
- 53:54Speaker 11: decided by 44,000 votes in three states. And then the
- 53:58Speaker 11: 2024 election was supposed to be Kamala Harris. So, you know,
- 54:02Speaker 11: fortunately for me, Donald Trump's made me look good all
- 54:04Speaker 11: these years with his polling, and he's got good advice
- 54:06Speaker 11: from a lot of good people. But, you know, he won,
- 54:10Speaker 11: and he won decisively last election in spite of the polls.
- 54:14Speaker 11: I mean, they were trying to suppress our vote. You
- 54:17Speaker 11: get this now where they're trying to basically try to
- 54:21Speaker 11: stop contributions to Republicans by saying they're down, and they're
- 54:26Speaker 11: directing money to Republicans. When you look at the map
- 54:29Speaker 11: of these closed states, I don't think we're going to
- 54:31Speaker 11: lose Alaska like Matt said. I don't think we're going
- 54:33Speaker 11: to lose Iowa or Ohio. And the Republicans are pulling
- 54:38Speaker 11: money out of North Carolina and Georgia, which is unheard of.
- 54:41Speaker 11: I did the polling in North Carolina. Three times in
- 54:44Speaker 11: a row for Donald Trump. We won it three times
- 54:46Speaker 11: in a row. I go back to having worked for
- 54:48Speaker 11: Senator Helms, Senator Faircloth in that state. We should not
- 54:51Speaker 11: be pulling out of North Carolina. We should not be
- 54:54Speaker 11: pulling out of Georgia. I worked for Doug Collins there,
- 54:56Speaker 11: Governor Deal. I mean, but right now they are to
- 54:59Speaker 11: try to save some states that should be reliably red.
- 55:03Speaker 11: And we should win Ohio. We should win Nebraska. We
- 55:05Speaker 11: should win Kansas. They shouldn't be in play. But right
- 55:08Speaker 11: now they've got, when you look at these rating services,
- 55:10Speaker 11: they've got nine pure toss-up center races, and you've got
- 55:13Speaker 11: another five that are leaners. I agree with you, Sean.
- 55:16Speaker 11: Minnesota's in play. It's a dead-even race. I know for
- 55:19Speaker 11: a fact from my own Super PAC polling that Michigan's
- 55:23Speaker 11: a dead-even race, 49-49. It should not be a dead-even race,
- 55:27Speaker 11: but it is, so we've got to win that one.
- 55:29Speaker 11: So it's a very close election, and you've got 29
- 55:33Speaker 11: days to go, and people are getting focused, and we're
- 55:36Speaker 11: seeing the difference.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Matt Towery, let's go through the states that we're talking about, Michigan, Texas. Ohio, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Alaska, Maine,
- 55:45Speaker 2: New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Georgia. What do you see?
- 55:48Speaker 32: Well, to John's point, Michigan is basically a tied race now. Now,
- 55:52Speaker 32: just think about this. Three weeks ago, the midterm convention
- 55:56Speaker 32: out in Dallas, all these polls had down six, seven,
- 56:00Speaker 32: eight points. Now, all of a sudden, the good polls
- 56:02Speaker 32: have it basically tied. So, in other words, they're all
- 56:04Speaker 32: compressing and the Republicans are coming up. Ohio is the
- 56:07Speaker 32: same way. Obviously, we were the ones who had to
- 56:10Speaker 32: pull out Minnesota. That's going to be a new frontier
- 56:12Speaker 32: for us. We haven't had that quite some time.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Well, same with New Hampshire, right, Matt? I think we're
- 56:18Speaker 2: losing Matt. All right, let's go to John. John, I'll
- 56:21Speaker 2: let you run through the races, and what do you say?
- 56:23Speaker 11: I agree with Matt that the Republicans, as they focus
- 56:28Speaker 11: on these races, the Republicans are pulling from what the
- 56:31Speaker 11: media polls had us behind to, like, dead even or
- 56:33Speaker 11: within the margin of error. And you've got 29 days
- 56:36Speaker 11: to go. As the Republicans contrast with what the Democrats
- 56:39Speaker 11: stand for, raising taxes, that's the leading affordability issue. They're
- 56:45Speaker 11: going to raise taxes. They're going to increase spending. They're
- 56:47Speaker 11: going to increase waste. They're going to have the government
- 56:49Speaker 11: eliminate all private health insurance, take over your health care,
- 56:53Speaker 11: massive tax increases for that. They're going to have open
- 56:57Speaker 11: borders again. As the Republicans contrast with these Democrats, and
- 57:02Speaker 11: look at Tallarico in Texas. The guy's a creeper when
- 57:05Speaker 11: it comes to sex offender, transgender issues. The focus right
- 57:11Speaker 11: now should be creating that contrast, and that'll win it
- 57:14Speaker 11: for the Republicans.
- 57:15Speaker 2: All right, back to Matt Tower. I think we got
- 57:17Speaker 2: Matt back. You can finish your analysis, Matt.
- 57:20Speaker 32: Well, I mean, basically, I'm just saying all these rates.
- 57:22Speaker 32: In fact, what I've said is a lot of almost
- 57:24Speaker 32: every state's battleground state this year. It's states you didn't
- 57:28Speaker 32: think would be. For Democrats or for Republicans, it's going
- 57:32Speaker 32: every which way. But I do want to say one thing.
- 57:34Speaker 32: John mentioned the fact that GOP pulling out money from
- 57:37Speaker 32: some states they shouldn't be pulling out. Let me give
- 57:39Speaker 32: you two quick things, okay? Who said this? A mighty
- 57:44Speaker 32: American consumer is crashing through inflation and bringing growth. And
- 57:49Speaker 32: then who said this?
- 57:51Speaker 11: U.S.
- 57:51Speaker 32: Unemployment is below 5% at historic rates not seen since
- 57:55Speaker 32: the 1960s. Do you think that was Donald Trump bragging? No,
- 57:59Speaker 32: that's Yahoo News and the Wall Street Journal in the
- 58:02Speaker 32: last few days. I want to know why the Republicans
- 58:06Speaker 32: don't have an add up telling people this because they're
- 58:09Speaker 32: getting nothing. But in my book, The Honoring of Ignorance,
- 58:12Speaker 32: I talk about this mirage machine that's created. And so
- 58:15Speaker 32: they've created the idea that because gas prices are up,
- 58:18Speaker 32: somehow everything is terrible in this country. People are spending
- 58:21Speaker 32: like no tomorrow. They have more money in their pockets.
- 58:24Speaker 32: And I put a challenge to the Republican Party and
- 58:26Speaker 32: the MAGA group and people who run this stuff. Get
- 58:29Speaker 32: some ads out there right now so these independents realize
- 58:32Speaker 32: how the economy really is instead of listening every night
- 58:35Speaker 32: to the mirage machine trying to depress them and make
- 58:38Speaker 32: them think that everything's going negative.
- 58:40Speaker 2: Do you think, Matt, that the ads that are being
- 58:43Speaker 2: run are the wrong ads?
- 58:44Speaker 32: No, I mean, look, every Senate race and every gubernatorial
- 58:48Speaker 32: race has to run their own local ads. But look,
- 58:51Speaker 32: the president's strategy is We're running on the president's record.
- 58:55Speaker 32: What we're going to run on the president's record, they
- 58:57Speaker 32: need to put that record out, not from Donald Trump.
- 58:59Speaker 32: They all think he's just bragging. They need to put
- 59:02Speaker 32: out what the enemy is writing, the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo, CNBC,
- 59:07Speaker 32: places you would never expect because people don't read. this stuff,
- 59:10Speaker 32: they don't see it, and they're being brainwashed. And you
- 59:13Speaker 32: need some of that independent vote to come up for
- 59:15Speaker 32: these Republicans to win. It's time to do it right
- 59:17Speaker 32: this minute because the votes are already out, ballots are
- 59:21Speaker 32: already out in Florida. Next week in Georgia, I believe
- 59:23Speaker 32: they start early voting. There's not a lot of time left.
- 59:26Speaker 32: And these races are not only eminently winnable, they are winnable.
- 59:30Speaker 32: They just got to get a message across.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Quick break. Right back more with our pollsters, Matt Towery

- 59:50Speaker 3: Me either.
- 59:51Speaker 5: World leaders, unions, businesses, social media, they all want to
- 59:56Speaker 5: work with Trump.
- 59:57Speaker 2: He said what he was going to do, and then
- 59:59Speaker 2: he did it.

- 1:02:16Speaker 33: If you're worried about the hassle of selling your home,
- 1:02:19Speaker 33: stop 570-WKBN. All right, final moments are pollsters. I'm not
- 1:02:36Speaker 33: trusting most of them this year. They've been atrocious this year.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: But we have Matt Towery, Insider Advantage, John McLaughlin, McLaughlin &
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Associates with us. What's the messaging or the key messaging,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: John McLaughlin, your polling is showing works the best for
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: a Republican?
- 1:02:53Speaker 11: Well, what works the best is creating the contrast. And
- 1:02:55Speaker 11: this is what I'm concerned about. Two months ago, we
- 1:02:59Speaker 11: got these polls on our website, McLaughlinOnline.com. We were losing
- 1:03:04Speaker 11: the generic ballot by two votes, two points, two points.
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: And we If you asked, are you going to support
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: a free market Republican or a capitalist Republican or a
- 1:03:15Speaker 11: big government socialist Democrat, all of a sudden the Republicans
- 1:03:18Speaker 11: went out 13 points. Well, last month it closed to
- 1:03:21Speaker 11: within 7 points, 47-40. This month it's closed where the
- 1:03:24Speaker 11: Republicans are ahead by 45-41. The Republicans have missed an
- 1:03:28Speaker 11: opportunity with the midterm convention to actually create a scorecard
- 1:03:33Speaker 11: and get the Democrats back on defense. In fact, when
- 1:03:36Speaker 11: you look at When they're looking at unpopular leaders, I mean,
- 1:03:41Speaker 11: Chuck Schumer, he was 46 unfavorable last month, 29 favorable.
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: This month nationwide, he's 32 and 42. I mean, a
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: little push. Donald Trump could push him over 50%. This
- 1:03:56Speaker 11: guy is going to be the leader of the Democrats
- 1:03:59Speaker 11: in the Senate. I know in my home state of
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: New York, Schumer has a 65% unfavorable rating. And in
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: New York, where they have a socialist mayor who wants
- 1:04:09Speaker 11: to— he controls Kathy Hochul. She endorsed him, created him. Hochul
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: now is going to give him all the tax increases
- 1:04:16Speaker 11: he won on November 4th. He wants to raise property taxes,
- 1:04:20Speaker 11: income taxes, lower the threshold for the death tax. He
- 1:04:23Speaker 11: wants a corporate tax surcharge. They're going to get that,
- 1:04:26Speaker 11: plus he's going to have a bonus for all New
- 1:04:28Speaker 11: York City residents when he releases thousands of criminals when
- 1:04:31Speaker 11: he shuts down Rikers Island. In New York State, Blakeman's
- 1:04:35Speaker 11: within a few points of Kathy Hochul precisely because they
- 1:04:38Speaker 11: know what socialism does. The outer boroughs and the city
- 1:04:42Speaker 11: are afraid of their mayor, of what he's going to
- 1:04:45Speaker 11: do once Hochul gets reelected. That's why Blakeman's close right now.
- 1:04:50Speaker 11: And don't even get me started on the anti-Semitism. But
- 1:04:53Speaker 11: this is what they're bringing to the rest of the country.
- 1:04:56Speaker 11: This is what El Sayed is. This is what Tallarico is.
- 1:04:59Speaker 11: This is what all the Democrats will be doing in
- 1:05:01Speaker 11: Congress if they're successful to take over the House and Senate.
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Exit question. And I need quick answers from both of you.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Matt Towery, who will have control of the House and
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Senate if you have to predict here we are 29
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: days before this midterm?
- 1:05:17Speaker 32: I don't like predicting, as you know. I'm going to
- 1:05:20Speaker 32: say this. I'm going to say that right now, I will.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Are you going to punt? Don't punt.
- 1:05:26Speaker 32: I'm not going to punt. I'm not going to punt.
- 1:05:29Speaker 32: I'm going to say the Senate.
- 1:05:30Speaker 11: Will stay with the Republicans.
- 1:05:32Speaker 32: The House is very problematic, but that's for other reasons.
- 1:05:35Speaker 32: But I do think that the Republicans have to get
- 1:05:37Speaker 32: it one notch up to make sure they get the Senate.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Last word, John McLaughlin, predictions.
- 1:05:42Speaker 11: I believe the next 29 days will keep the Senate...
- 1:05:46Speaker 11: And there's over 70 House races and contests being contested.
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: There's 17 seats that are pure toss-ups. We have the
- 1:05:54Speaker 11: possibility to hold the House, and those Senate races, and
- 1:05:57Speaker 11: particularly some governors' upsets, could actually secure the House for us.
- 1:06:01Speaker 11: So I think we'll win the Senate, and the question
- 1:06:06Speaker 11: is how close we'll be to hold the House.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Well, I can tell you that there are enough people
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: in this radio audience and my TV audience that if
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: they all vote... No exceptions allowed. If everybody votes, there
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: are enough votes here to turn this election on a
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: dime in all 50 states. Appreciate it, Matt Towery, John McLaughlin.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Thank you both. Now, you've heard me talking about the
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Sig Sauer P365. It is the number one selling concealed
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: carry pistol in America. More people carrying firearms.
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Because it's a dangerous world, especially, God forbid, we empty
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: the prisons and abolish them and abolish bail and You know,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: we're not going to punish criminals anymore. It's getting worse
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: every day. Now, Sig Sauer has a 270 year history
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: of precision craftsmanship, incredible reliability. There is a reason that
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: every branch of our U.S. military carries as their sidearm
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: a Sig Sauer and our NATO partners. They carry a
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Sig Sauer and our elite units around the world. They
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: all carry Sig Sauer, all made in America. They have
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: brought manufacturing back in a major way. The P365, like
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: all SIG Sowers, made in the live free or die
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: state of New Hampshire. As a matter of fact, SIG
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: is the largest manufacturer in the entire state. And the
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: SIG Sower P365 is the most popular, the best selling
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: concealed carry pistol on the market today. Look, it's my
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: everyday carry. Anyway, frequently cited as the top selling high
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: capacity compact pistol, consistently ranking ahead of competitors. it's easy
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: to carry, concealed carry, and God forbid you ever need it,
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: you'll have it. Anyway, check it out at your local

- 1:07:58Speaker 2: where you are. We'll continue on the other side.
- 1:08:14Speaker 12: Have you heard the news?
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: A promise.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: If Republicans win the House and Senate in November, I
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: will issue.
- 1:08:20Speaker 32: A dividend to every adult citizen in the United States
- 1:08:26Speaker 32: of America.
- 1:08:26Speaker 11: $ 5, 000.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: Go woke, go broke. Believe in something. That's Colin Kaepernick
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: in a Nike ad. Even if it means sacrificing everything.
- 1:08:33Speaker 15: Well, Nike sacrificed 78% of their value.
- 1:08:36Speaker 12: I want to be remembered.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: A year ago, we lost Charlie Kirk for courage from

- 1:08:55Speaker 14: will never see his two young girls again. Flynn shot

- 1:10:53Speaker 6: Today from Progressive Field, downtown Cleveland, it's game two of
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: the American League Division Series between the Guardians and the
- 1:11:01Speaker 6: Chicago White Sox. Jim Rosenhouse along with you about a
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: half hour prior to today's first pitch. Big one today
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: for Cleveland as the White Sox took the opener of
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: this best-of-five game. 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. Stay tuned. We'll
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: have more to come after this. Well, hi again. This
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: is Dan. Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show.
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: The American League leader in strikeouts this year was Guardians
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: starting pitcher Gavin Williams, and he's on the mound today
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: in the all-important Game 2 of the American League Division Series.
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: We'll talk to him next.
- 1:11:38Speaker 17: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: Let's check out the numbers today.
- 1:11:44Speaker 35: Game 2 of the ALDS has the Guardians a $ 1.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: 55 favorite, and the total today is a low one again.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: It is 6.5.
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: And let's get a winner on the board today.
- 1:11:53Speaker 35: I like the Guardians to even this series up at
- 1:11:55Speaker 35: a game apiece. And it's all about Gavin Williams, who
- 1:11:58Speaker 35: will take the ball for Cleveland. I know he hasn't
- 1:12:00Speaker 35: pitched in 12 days, but he pitched a simulated game
- 1:12:02Speaker 35: in between his last start and today. And he led
- 1:12:05Speaker 35: the AL in strikeouts and averaged seven punchouts per start
- 1:12:09Speaker 35: against the White Sox. Chicago with a big propensity to
- 1:12:12Speaker 35: strike out. I think Williams mows him down today. The
- 1:12:15Speaker 35: guards offense wakes up. Cleveland evens the series at one
- 1:12:18Speaker 35: game apiece. Now, you can download the Bet365 app and
- 1:12:21Speaker 35: join me. Remember, bet this or any money line all

- 1:12:26Speaker 35: five runs or more, you win even if they don't.
- 1:12:28Speaker 35: It's the MLB yearly payout. Terms and conditions apply. That's
- 1:12:31Speaker 35: a Bet365 Minute. I'm Scott Davidson.

- 1:12:40Speaker 12: Welcome back to Guardians Warm Up.
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: We're joined by Game 2 starting pitcher Gavin Williamson. You've
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: had some postseason experience before. How do you manage the
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: emotions of a big game, especially at home with the
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: fans here, certainly at full throat at some point?
- 1:12:53Speaker 36: Yeah, I think it's just another game. That's all I've
- 1:12:55Speaker 36: got to think about. I can't think about anything else
- 1:12:58Speaker 36: other than I need to execute and do what I
- 1:13:00Speaker 36: need to do.
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: And when you look at your season coming in every year,
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: I'm sure you like to grow in certain areas. You
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: lead the league in strikeouts this year. It's a great number.
- 1:13:09Speaker 6: Maybe you look back on that down the road and
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: think about it. But what does that number mean to
- 1:13:14Speaker 6: you in terms of effectiveness and what you're trying to
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: get done? Just looking back at it, it's like I
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: got a bunch of swing and miss. And looking at
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: that number, it definitely proved it. But also going back
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: to the walks, I've walked a lot less people than
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: I did the year before. So that's another big thing,
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: knowing I can throw strikes and just got to throw
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: it over the plate and just trust what I got.
- 1:13:35Speaker 12: Four starts this year against the White Sox.
- 1:13:37Speaker 6: What did you learn in those that could help you
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: in your Game 2 start?
- 1:13:41Speaker 36: You've got to be on your toes. They're a good team.
- 1:13:43Speaker 36: They're a good hitting team at that, too. And they're
- 1:13:46Speaker 36: going to wait for their pitch. So, just got to
- 1:13:48Speaker 36: mix it up a little bit.
- 1:13:49Speaker 6: That's Guardian starting pitcher Gavin Williams. Stay tuned. More to
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: come after this.

- 1:15:57Speaker 6: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. Guardians and
- 1:16:01Speaker 6: White Sox game two of this Best of Five ALDS. 73%
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: of the time since the Best of Fives were instituted
- 1:16:09Speaker 6: back in 1969, a team that has won game one
- 1:16:13Speaker 6: on the road has gone on to win the series.
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: That's why this game today is so important for the Guardians,
- 1:16:18Speaker 6: and Tom Hamilton will talk about it with manager Stephen
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: Vogt next.
- 1:16:23Speaker 38: I'm Dr.
- 1:16:23Speaker 20: Cheryl Figliano with the Centers for Hearing.
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: Hi again, everybody, with Cleveland manager Stephen Vothis, Tom Hamilton.
- 1:16:32Speaker 6: It's the Key Bank Manager Show, and it's game two
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: of the American League Division Series. Weird to have a
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: day off in between games. I'm sure the White Sox
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: loved it because they've been playing. Does it have any
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: impact either way for you, voter? No, it doesn't.
- 1:16:47Speaker 10: I mean, if anything, both sides get to rest their bullpens.
- 1:16:50Speaker 39: The guys get a day off, and you can kind
- 1:16:52Speaker 39: of game plan a little bit. But this is the
- 1:16:54Speaker 39: format we were given. Both teams were given it, and
- 1:16:56Speaker 39: so we're ready to go today.
- 1:16:58Speaker 6: Well, we've seen really Chicago use this approach probably since
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: the middle of September. They've been kind of using this
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: to get into the playoffs. They continued it in the playoffs.
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: What makes it so difficult? Is it that you're seeing
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: a different guy almost every at-bat?
- 1:17:13Speaker 39: Yeah, you're seeing a different guy every at-bat. You don't
- 1:17:15Speaker 39: know what they're going to do. There's no rhyme or
- 1:17:17Speaker 39: reason or formula, so they're kind of just bringing pitchers in.
- 1:17:21Speaker 39: I'm sure they're identifying when they want to use guys,
- 1:17:23Speaker 39: but we really don't know what they're going to do
- 1:17:25Speaker 39: outside of their openers.
- 1:17:26Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 1:17:27Speaker 10: It's a good strategy.
- 1:17:28Speaker 39: But again, like we've talked about all year, when you're
- 1:17:29Speaker 39: facing a bullpen type of game or a matchup type
- 1:17:32Speaker 39: of game, you just got to get to one guy.
- 1:17:34Speaker 39: And unfortunately, we weren't able to do that on Saturday,
- 1:17:36Speaker 39: but we're hoping today's a different story.
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: Do you have an approach against different arms like that?
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: I mean, you have a game plan against a starter
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: a lot of times. How do you approach it as
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: a hitter with this formula?
- 1:17:47Speaker 39: Go compete in the box. Again, when you're facing bullpen guys,
- 1:17:51Speaker 39: there's not a whole lot of rhyme or reason. They're
- 1:17:53Speaker 39: going to throw their best stuff right at you. And
- 1:17:55Speaker 39: You've got to get them into the zone, and when
- 1:17:57Speaker 39: they make mistakes, you've got to be ready for it.
- 1:17:58Speaker 39: But I think that's, for me, that's the main message
- 1:18:00Speaker 39: for our hitters is just go compete every single at-bat. Yeah,
- 1:18:04Speaker 39: you might face four different pitchers, and that's very difficult
- 1:18:06Speaker 39: in the game, but here's your chance.
- 1:18:08Speaker 10: Let's go. Go compete. Get guys on. Get them over.
- 1:18:11Speaker 10: Get them in.
- 1:18:11Speaker 6: What's made Sean Burke, whom we expect to see at
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: some point today, so tough on Cleveland this year?
- 1:18:17Speaker 39: He executes against us, and he's got a really good
- 1:18:19Speaker 39: cutter-sweeper combo with a good curveball. and he's got the 97,
- 1:18:22Speaker 39: 98-mile-an-hour fastball. It's a really good arsenal. He keeps it
- 1:18:26Speaker 39: away from our left-handed hitters. He's been really good against
- 1:18:29Speaker 39: us at kind of painting the outside corner with his
- 1:18:31Speaker 39: fastball cutter, using them backdoor, and then he goes for
- 1:18:35Speaker 39: the wipeout down and in. We really haven't gotten a
- 1:18:37Speaker 39: whole lot of mistakes against him when he's pitched against us,
- 1:18:39Speaker 39: but I really like the fact that we've seen these
- 1:18:42Speaker 39: guys enough times now to where a lot of our
- 1:18:44Speaker 39: hitters are talking about they're getting an idea, they're getting
- 1:18:46Speaker 39: to see the spin, or getting to see the shapes.
- 1:18:48Speaker 39: I feel really good about our guys going into today.
- 1:18:51Speaker 6: Is it too simplistic to say you need something good
- 1:18:54Speaker 6: to happen offensively early?
- 1:18:56Speaker 39: I think that's the goal of every game. You want
- 1:18:58Speaker 39: something good. You want to jump out to a lead.
- 1:19:00Speaker 39: You want to get some things going. Obviously, we weren't
- 1:19:03Speaker 39: able to do that on Saturday, and we hope that
- 1:19:05Speaker 39: it's different today.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: Look, you have another Cy Young candidate going for you today.
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: Parker Messick pitched well the other day. Today, it's Gavin Williams. Now,
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: the one downside, maybe, he's had nine days off, and
- 1:19:17Speaker 6: sometimes with him, mechanics can be an issue. Is that
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: a potential red flag for you going into the start
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: of the game?
- 1:19:24Speaker 39: No, because he threw a simulated game on Wednesday, so
- 1:19:27Speaker 39: it wasn't necessarily nine days off. Maybe nine days off
- 1:19:30Speaker 39: from game competition, but he threw.
- 1:19:33Speaker 10: Three or four innings. I can't remember.
- 1:19:34Speaker 39: It's been a few days since then, but He got
- 1:19:37Speaker 39: some really good work in against our hitters, and it
- 1:19:39Speaker 39: was a game-like atmosphere.
- 1:19:40Speaker 10: So Gavin's going to be ready to go.
- 1:19:42Speaker 6: For you, voter, are you able to tell early when
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: it's the Gavin Williams who's unhittable or the Gavin Williams
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: that maybe is fighting his mechanics a little bit?
- 1:19:51Speaker 10: I'm not as good as it, but our pitching coaches are.
- 1:19:53Speaker 39: And so what we've seen with Gavin, too, is he's
- 1:19:56Speaker 39: had some innings where we're like, uh-oh, and then he
- 1:19:58Speaker 39: turns it around and slams the door.
- 1:20:00Speaker 10: So this is Gavin's game.
- 1:20:01Speaker 39: He's going to have it, and obviously if something happens weird,
- 1:20:04Speaker 39: we'll move away from him, but gavin's proven time and
- 1:20:06Speaker 39: time again that he can take the ball and go
- 1:20:07Speaker 39: deep and give us a chance to win.
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: Well he did that last year so he has this
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: kind of experience this is a guy you want in
- 1:20:13Speaker 6: this kind of an important game isn't.
- 1:20:15Speaker 39: It yeah we feel really good about our pitching we
- 1:20:17Speaker 39: feel really good about our team we were playing our
- 1:20:19Speaker 39: best baseball the last month of the year and one
- 1:20:22Speaker 39: game's not going to get us down it's not going
- 1:20:24Speaker 39: to make us move away from what's gotten us here
- 1:20:26Speaker 39: so we expect gavin to go out and give us
- 1:20:28Speaker 39: a chance to win and and score a bunch of runs.
- 1:20:31Speaker 6: That's Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt, Tom Hamilton, inviting you to
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: stay tuned. It's game two of the division series, and

- 1:26:50Speaker 6: Now stay tuned when we return Tom Hamilton as tonight's
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: first pitch on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 1:27:00Speaker 40: Stadium GM. Nobody beats a stadium deal. West State Street
- 1:27:04Speaker 40: in Salem. Valentine Roofing. Protecting what you love. By Bernard
- 1:27:09Speaker 40: Daniels Lumber and Home Center. Railroad Street in Canfield. And
- 1:27:13Speaker 40: by Elite Pharmacy. Elite isn't just the name.
- 1:27:16Speaker 12: Elite is the mission.
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: That small roof leak may not seem like a big deal.
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: From Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, it is game
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: number two of the American League Division Series. The White
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: Sox on top, one game to none. This is the
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: final game in Cleveland, with the series then moving to
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: Chicago for game three coming up on Wednesday afternoon, and
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: if needed, game four Wednesday afternoon. or Thursday afternoon, if
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: a game five is needed, it would be back here
- 1:28:08Speaker 6: in Cleveland. on Saturday or Saturday night, depending on how
- 1:28:13Speaker 6: the rest of the division series go around baseball. Hi again, everybody.
- 1:28:18Speaker 6: This is Tom Hamilton, along with Jim Rosenhaus, Brian Motze
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: at Command Center, and Joe Fritchin here with us in
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: the booth. Another beautiful autumn-like day on the shores of
- 1:28:30Speaker 6: Lake Erie. Not a cloud in the sky, which is
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: going to make it a bit difficult here in the
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: early innings With the shadows, but not as bad as
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: it was. was late in the ball game on Saturday
- 1:28:43Speaker 6: when the shadows made it almost impossible to hit in
- 1:28:46Speaker 6: the eighth and ninth innings for both teams we have
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: a bit of a breeze at Seems like it changes
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: directions depending on which flag you're looking at and depending
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: at what time you're looking at it. But the breeze
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: is not as significant blowing in like it was on Saturday.
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: Right now, the lightest of breezes seems to be, at
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: the moment, blowing out toward right field. Gabe Morales, the
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: home plate umpire in game two. Todd Tishner, the crew
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: chief at first. Jansen Visconti is at second. Vic Carapaz
- 1:29:20Speaker 6: at third. Two extra outfielders, outfield umpires here in the playoffs.
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: Down the left field line, Tom Hanahan. Down the right
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: field line, Corey Blazer. Gavin Williams leads the Guardians out
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: of the dugout with their red jerseys, the navy blue
- 1:29:36Speaker 6: and white trim with the white pants. White Sox in
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: their black jerseys with the white trim and the gray pants.
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: 325 down each line. 370 to left center. 375 to
- 1:29:48Speaker 6: right center. 400 to dead center. The 19-foot wall from
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: the left field corner to center. Then from center to
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: the right field corner, it'll be nine feet high. Fans
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: are still filing in off the plaza out onto the
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: home run porch area. And so we've got a few
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: folks that are going to miss this. this first ending
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: of play but another sellout crowd of around 35,000 here
- 1:30:15Speaker 6: for game two the best of five series which obviously
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: puts the onus on Cleveland to leave town with a
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: split White Sox They came in here needing a split
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: to head back home. Well, they've guaranteed themselves that. Of course,
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: they want to get greedy as they'll have to face
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: one of the best in the business in Gavin Williams.
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: And once again, White Sox will patch it together with
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: a number of pitchers. They will use two starters today,
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: but one of them coming out of the bullpen. And Rosie,
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: it's never a must-win situation. until it is a must-win
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: or your season is over. But history shows us in
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: a five-game series, you can't afford to lose the first
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: two games at home and think that you've got a
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: rosy future. Well, you touched on it, Tom. They have
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: the pitcher they want on the mound today. Gavin Williams
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: led the league in strikeouts this year, and he was
- 1:31:12Speaker 6: saying earlier this week, Yes, he's had some extra time
- 1:31:14Speaker 6: between starts. He feels like he'll be just fine. He's
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: been on the mound a lot since. He says the
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: key is the breaking ball. He has that good curve
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: that has really improved this year. And he says, you
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: look at the White Sox. They can hit the fastball.
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: He throws as hard as anybody in the game. But
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: he knows his off-speed stuff will have to be sharp
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: here tonight. Well, and spin. The curveball and the slider
- 1:31:37Speaker 6: are more difficult to hit with the shadows.
- 1:31:40Speaker 26: Now.
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: The shadows are such that most of the infield is
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: covered in shadows, including the hitter and the pitcher. However,
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: the batter's eye in dead center, that's bright sunlight, and
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: that is still an issue for the hitters when they
- 1:31:57Speaker 6: see bright sunlight in the batter's eye, and then the
- 1:32:01Speaker 6: ball comes into the shadows. Sam Antonacci will lead it off.
- 1:32:05Speaker 6: The left fielder, left hander batter. The wind and today's
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: first pitch and it's inside the ball. And we're underway
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario with a game
- 1:32:15Speaker 6: time temp of 61 degrees. The big right hander rocks
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: and fires and Antonacci takes a heater strike at 99
- 1:32:27Speaker 6: miles per hour. Gavin Williams, fastball, sinker, cutter, curve, and slider.
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: No changeup. 6'6, 250, 27 years of age, the Carolina kid.
- 1:32:43Speaker 6: And Tanachi, 2-4-8 this postseason. Now the 1-1. And he swings,
- 1:32:49Speaker 6: bounces one to first. Big hop handled by Lowe, makes
- 1:32:53Speaker 6: the play himself. Head first dive into first by Antonacci.
- 1:32:57Speaker 6: But Lowe got there ahead of him. And that is
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: out number one on a three-pitch at bat. And that
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: is critical for Gavin Williams. When he has quick outs
- 1:33:09Speaker 6: on a low pitch count, then he's usually going to
- 1:33:12Speaker 6: get you six or seven innings. It's when he's working
- 1:33:16Speaker 6: from behind because his mechanics are out of sorts that
- 1:33:20Speaker 6: it can be a rough day. Here's the left-handed hitting catcher,
- 1:33:25Speaker 6: Kyle Teal. Teal takes a look, and it's a first-pitch
- 1:33:29Speaker 6: curveball into beauty. Angel Martinez in left, Stephen Kwan in center,
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: Chase DeLauder in right. Give you the guys on the
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: dirt in a moment. The wind and the 0-1 pitch.
- 1:33:43Speaker 6: And it backs him off the plate 1-1. Nathaniel Lowe
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: at first. Travis Pazana at second. Brian Rocchio at short.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: Jose Ramirez at third. And Patrick Bailey doing the catching.
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: Now the windup by Williams. The 1-1. And it's in there.
- 1:34:01Speaker 6: A called strike. Nick the inside corner. Kyle Teal in disgust.
- 1:34:06Speaker 6: Turns towards the first base dugout. Like that can't be
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: a strike. Yet he didn't challenge it. Had he challenged it,
- 1:34:14Speaker 6: it would have been overturned. It would have been a ball.
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: The pitch.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: Swing!
- 1:34:19Speaker 6: And a foul tip hung on to by Bailey. Got
- 1:34:22Speaker 6: him with a curveball away. So two down on the
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: first strikeout of Gavin Williams. Gavin Williams led the American
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: League in strikeouts with 248. The only guy in baseball
- 1:34:34Speaker 6: that had more. was the incredible Jacob Mizorowski with Milwaukee.
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: No score, two down, here's Miguel Vargas, and he takes
- 1:34:48Speaker 6: a ball outside. Gavin Williams faced the White Sox four
- 1:34:53Speaker 6: times this year, was 0-1 with a. 398 ERA. Now
- 1:35:02Speaker 6: the kick and the 1-0 pitch, and it's outside 2-0.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: Gavin Williams pitched in a sim game in the middle
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: of the week last week. Otherwise, he has not pitched
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: on a major league mound against a major league opponent
- 1:35:18Speaker 6: since Kansas City 10 days ago. The pitch is high, 3-0.
- 1:35:22Speaker 6: And that's always a concern. He had extended rest going
- 1:35:27Speaker 6: into that Kansas City start, and that didn't go well.
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: He was out of there in 3-1-3rd. He just couldn't
- 1:35:35Speaker 6: get into sync with his delivery and mechanics. Now the
- 1:35:41Speaker 6: wind-up and the 3-0 pitch to Vargas. And it's a
- 1:35:45Speaker 6: high fastball, and he's aboard with two down. And that'll
- 1:35:49Speaker 6: bring up the guy that basically won the game offensively
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: for the White Sox, Munataka Murakami, who had the two-run
- 1:35:58Speaker 6: home run in the win on Saturday. White Sox won
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: it 3-0. And Murakami hit one 440 feet to the
- 1:36:08Speaker 6: seats in right field in the fourth inning. And that
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: really was all the White Sox needed. Now the set
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: and throw to first back standing is Vargas. Who had
- 1:36:20Speaker 6: 22 stolen bases during the regular season. Tops on the
- 1:36:24Speaker 6: White Sox ball club. Now the set. And now time called.
- 1:36:33Speaker 6: Munataka Murakami. He batted. 207 during the year. 35 bombs,
- 1:36:41Speaker 6: 77 RBIs. Williams, the high hold. And the pitch. And
- 1:36:50Speaker 6: it's a fastball strike on the inside corner. Boy, he
- 1:36:54Speaker 6: is lighting up the radar gun here. 98, 99 miles
- 1:36:57Speaker 6: per hour. Gavin Williams, 14-8 on the year with a.
- 1:37:06Speaker 6: 376 ERA. He deals, and it's a strike. Top of
- 1:37:12Speaker 6: the zone, Heater.
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: 0-2.
- 1:37:16Speaker 6: Murakami hit a slider for his home runoff, Parker Messick,
- 1:37:21Speaker 6: on Saturday. And now they come to their feet at
- 1:37:25Speaker 6: the corner at Carnegie in Ontario. The 0-2 pitch. High heat, 1-2.
- 1:37:35Speaker 6: Williams made 32 starts, never missed a start. Six innings
- 1:37:39Speaker 6: to start. 12 strikeouts, three walks per nine. 213 batting
- 1:37:45Speaker 6: average against. Now the 1-2 delivery. And the Japanese slugger
- 1:37:51Speaker 6: takes strike. Three called on the outside corner. Locked him
- 1:37:55Speaker 6: up with a hook. Kevin Williams, a strong first inning.
- 1:38:00Speaker 6: White Sox do not score. Guardians coming to bat on

- 1:39:51Speaker 30: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 1:39:54Speaker 30: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN.
- 1:40:01Speaker 6: We go down to the bottom half of inning number one,
- 1:40:04Speaker 6: no score. And today we're going to see a couple
- 1:40:08Speaker 6: of starters we expect work for Chicago. They're going to
- 1:40:14Speaker 6: start the game with the left-hander Anthony Kaye. Then we
- 1:40:18Speaker 6: expect to see starter Sean Burke at some point. He's
- 1:40:21Speaker 6: a right-hander. But both Kay and Burke were in the
- 1:40:25Speaker 6: rotation this year for the White Sox. Anthony Kay, the left-hander,
- 1:40:30Speaker 6: 6 feet, 2 1⁄4, 31 years of age. Fastball sinker cutter.
- 1:40:38Speaker 6: He also has the curveball, the slider, and the changeup.
- 1:40:47Speaker 6: He'll throw in the mid-90s. And he gets the start
- 1:40:54Speaker 6: here today. At some point, we'll see Sean Burke based
- 1:40:59Speaker 6: on how this game plays out. Left-handed hitting Stephen Kwan
- 1:41:03Speaker 6: will open it up for Cleveland. The kick and the pitch.
- 1:41:06Speaker 6: Kwan takes a high fastball. Anthony Kaye was tremendous against
- 1:41:11Speaker 6: Cleveland this year. Had a 135 ERA. In 20 innings
- 1:41:18Speaker 6: of work against Cleveland. The pitch. Kwon takes the strike
- 1:41:22Speaker 6: to even the count. Cleveland batted 171 against Anthony Kaye
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: in those four starts. End of the motion. The 1-1.
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: Kwon laid off. He almost chased a fastball up and away.
- 1:41:42Speaker 6: And again, Anthony Kaye, he doesn't have to pace himself.
- 1:41:46Speaker 6: That was 97 miles per hour. Two and one to count.
- 1:41:53Speaker 6: The left-hander lets it fly. Kwon swings, grounds one in
- 1:41:58Speaker 6: the hole, right side, in the right field of Asin. Mydrath,
- 1:42:02Speaker 6: the second baseman, looked like he dove right over it,
- 1:42:05Speaker 6: diving toward first. And Stephen Kwon snuck one through. And
- 1:42:10Speaker 6: this is something we just did not see on Saturday.
- 1:42:14Speaker 6: Cleveland get a leadoff batter aboard. The few times they
- 1:42:18Speaker 6: had opportunities to score, it always came after two outs,
- 1:42:22Speaker 6: nobody on base. Here's Jose Ramirez. Switch hitter batting right-handed.
- 1:42:33Speaker 6: The pitch, and it's down and in, missed with a
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: breaking ball. Sam Antonacci in left. Tristan Peters in center.
- 1:42:42Speaker 6: Braden Montgomery in right. Munataka Murakami at first. Chase Maidroth
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: at second. Colson Montgomery at short. Miguel Vargas at third.
- 1:42:51Speaker 6: Kyle Teal catching. The pitch. Inside. Almost got him in
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: the five. 2-0 the count. You look at Cleveland. They
- 1:43:04Speaker 6: only had three hits. Pretty much everybody had an 0-4.
- 1:43:08Speaker 6: including Jose Ramirez on Saturday. No score, one on, nobody out.
- 1:43:14Speaker 6: The pitch is in there, and they count two and one.
- 1:43:25Speaker 6: Outfield is deeper than normal. Pretty much straight away for Ramirez.
- 1:43:33Speaker 6: The pitch, and he laid off a breaking ball, three
- 1:43:36Speaker 6: and one. Jose Ramirez in his career against Chicago. 35 homers.
- 1:43:46Speaker 6: 40 doubles, 109 RBIs. Now the 3-1. Swung on, banged
- 1:43:55Speaker 6: toward third, but foul. The key in Jose will tell
- 1:44:00Speaker 6: you the same thing when you visit with him. He's
- 1:44:03Speaker 6: just got to try to not do too much. He
- 1:44:10Speaker 6: wants so badly to be leaned on. Now the payoff pitch.
- 1:44:19Speaker 6: Down low, he drew a walk. There's an example right there, Rosie.
- 1:44:23Speaker 6: Instead of maybe trying to hit that ball to Lake Erie,
- 1:44:26Speaker 6: he took the walk. And the White Sox pitchers, they
- 1:44:29Speaker 6: walked Cleveland hitters the other day, but the Guardians could
- 1:44:32Speaker 6: not take advantage. But you feel like if they can
- 1:44:36Speaker 6: continue that approach, eventually it's going to pay off. Because
- 1:44:40Speaker 6: if you can be patient with this pitching staff, they
- 1:44:42Speaker 6: will issue the walks and get in hitter advantage counts.
- 1:44:47Speaker 6: You just get a feeling today Cleveland has to do
- 1:44:50Speaker 6: something offensively early. Yep, absolutely. Two on, nobody out. Here's
- 1:44:54Speaker 6: Chase DeLauder. No score first inning. Left on left, the pitch. Outside,
- 1:45:01Speaker 6: ball one. Cleveland didn't have an opportunity like this on Saturday.
- 1:45:06Speaker 6: That is two men aboard with nobody out. Outfield for
- 1:45:13Speaker 6: De Lauder, a touch toward left, almost straight away, medium deep.
- 1:45:19Speaker 6: Anthony Kaye's pitch, checked on a pitch outside, 2-0. De
- 1:45:25Speaker 6: Lauder 0-4 on Saturday. Kwon at second, Ramirez at first.
- 1:45:31Speaker 6: Nobody out in the first. No score yet, but Cleveland's
- 1:45:35Speaker 6: got a great opportunity. De Lauder awaiting the 2-0 pitch.
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: Here it comes. Strike call. Already left-hander Sean Newcomb warming
- 1:45:49Speaker 6: in the White Sox bullpen. What does that tell you? Well,
- 1:45:54Speaker 6: we have seen the Guardians face a ton of openers
- 1:45:57Speaker 6: or bullpen games, however you want to call it, and
- 1:46:00Speaker 6: it doesn't always go the way it did for the
- 1:46:02Speaker 6: White Sox on Saturday. A look back at second, the
- 1:46:05Speaker 6: 2-1 pitch. A swing and a foul at the plate, 2-2. Well,
- 1:46:12Speaker 6: the pressure is definitely on Cleveland to get a win
- 1:46:16Speaker 6: here today. If needed, the next two games in Chicago.
- 1:46:21Speaker 6: And again, first team to win three moves on to
- 1:46:25Speaker 6: the American League Championship Series. And the longer it goes
- 1:46:30Speaker 6: with Cleveland not scoring, the more that pressure builds. Now
- 1:46:35Speaker 6: the 2-2 to De Lauder. Checked on a ball away.
- 1:46:42Speaker 6: Ball squirts to the left, but no advance. And now
- 1:46:46Speaker 6: full count on De Lauder. And here is Anthony Kaye.
- 1:46:52Speaker 6: 15 pitches into the game. Six strikes, nine balls. And remember,
- 1:46:59Speaker 6: Chase De Lauder, even though it's left on left, better
- 1:47:02Speaker 6: hitter against left-handed pitching, batting. 323 this year. Now the
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: payoff pitch. Swung on a little weak bouncer to first.
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: Fielded there by Sandy Alomar Jr. He'll fire it over
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: the screen to the fans. Ruggio door coaching at third.
- 1:47:32Speaker 6: Scoreless in the first. 2-1. Nobody out. De Lauder awaits
- 1:47:37Speaker 6: the 3-2 pitch. Here it comes. Swung on a high
- 1:47:45Speaker 6: chopper to second. Midroth has one play to first. In
- 1:47:49Speaker 6: the dirt, but a backhanded pick by Murakami. So a
- 1:47:53Speaker 6: productive out. Kwon to third. Ramirez to second. And the
- 1:48:01Speaker 6: Guardians with one down. See how the White Sox play
- 1:48:05Speaker 6: it on the infield. Joe Adele, the batter, struck out
- 1:48:10Speaker 6: all four at-bats on Saturday. The White Sox bring the
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: infield in, and here comes the manager, Will Venable. that
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: normally means a pitching change wow let's see what the
- 1:48:29Speaker 6: outstanding manager of the White Sox wants he wants the
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: baseball we have a pitching change three batters into this
- 1:48:37Speaker 6: game Anthony Kaye didn't even get a chance to plead
- 1:48:43Speaker 6: his case. This call to the bullpen presented by Spartan

- 1:49:42Speaker 31: At Cleveland Clinic, care is everything. So when your primary
- 1:49:47Speaker 31: purpose is to care for the world, you'd start with
- 1:49:50Speaker 31: your community until you're accessible anywhere. You make complexities your
- 1:49:55Speaker 31: specialties and put compassion before anything else, all to redefine

- 1:50:12Speaker 8: Progressive knows that being a sports fan is expensive. But
- 1:50:15Speaker 8: can you really put a price on seats good enough
- 1:50:17Speaker 8: to make post-touchdown eye contact with your favorite player?
- 1:50:20Speaker 12: You pointed them, they.
- 1:50:21Speaker 8: Pointed you, or at least in the general vicinity of
- 1:50:23Speaker 8: your seats. They yell, let's go! You yell, let's go!
- 1:50:26Speaker 8: Everyone around you yells, let's go! But none of you
- 1:50:28Speaker 8: actually go anywhere. You just stay right there, basking in
- 1:50:31Speaker 8: the glow of your maybe-kinda-probably brush with sports superstardom. So
- 1:50:34Speaker 8: switch and save with Progressive, and you could save hundreds

- 1:50:40Speaker 30: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 1:50:44Speaker 30: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN.
- 1:50:50Speaker 6: Left-hander Sean Newcomb did not pitch Saturday. He's on the
- 1:50:54Speaker 6: pitch to Joe Adele. The White Sox are playing the
- 1:50:58Speaker 6: left side of the infield back. Second baseman back. First
- 1:51:03Speaker 6: baseman even with a bag. The pitch and a tie.
- 1:51:06Speaker 6: Ball one. No score. First inning. Stephen Kwan at third.
- 1:51:11Speaker 6: Jose Ramirez at second. One down. White Sox conceding the
- 1:51:16Speaker 6: run here on a ground ball to anyone except the
- 1:51:19Speaker 6: first baseman. The pitch and a breaking ball down. And
- 1:51:24Speaker 6: it's 2-0. Anthony Kaye out of this ballgame. Three batters in,
- 1:51:33Speaker 6: and Anthony Kaye made 17 pitches. And now, intentionally walked,
- 1:51:42Speaker 6: is Joe Adele to load him up for Nathaniel Lowe.
- 1:51:46Speaker 6: This must have been the matchup that manager Will Venable
- 1:51:52Speaker 6: was thinking about. Left on left. Nathaniel Lowe will tell you,
- 1:52:00Speaker 6: I know the numbers don't indicate that I can hit
- 1:52:03Speaker 6: left-handed pitching, but I've hit it all my life. I
- 1:52:07Speaker 6: just didn't get many opportunities this year and last summer.
- 1:52:12Speaker 6: Infield back to pitch. Swung on a high. Chopper toward
- 1:52:15Speaker 6: the mound. Newcomb gloves it. Throws in the dirt.
- 1:52:18Speaker 14: Throws it away.
- 1:52:19Speaker 6: Kicks off the sidewall.
- 1:52:21Speaker 3: Claude scores.
- 1:52:22Speaker 6: Ramirez scores.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: Adele to third.
- 1:52:28Speaker 6: And the White Sox imploding defensively. And Cleveland with a
- 1:52:33Speaker 6: 2-0 lead. Runners at the corners. One out. A high
- 1:52:39Speaker 6: chopper to the mound that Newcomb literally had to wait
- 1:52:43Speaker 6: to come down. Much like a pop-up. Whirled and absolutely
- 1:52:49Speaker 6: threw a missile to first near nobody. And the Guardians
- 1:52:55Speaker 6: now have a chance to have a mammoth ending. 2-0 Cleveland.
- 1:53:01Speaker 6: First and third. One out, infield in. Here's Daniel Martinez
- 1:53:07Speaker 6: batting right-handed. Switch hitting left fielder. The pitch. Swing and
- 1:53:13Speaker 6: a foul off to the right. Strike one. That'll be
- 1:53:19Speaker 6: an error all the way, but there will be an RBI.
- 1:53:24Speaker 6: Because Kwon was going to score, Ramirez was able to
- 1:53:28Speaker 6: score on the errant throw. Now the pitch. Swing and
- 1:53:35Speaker 6: a miss. Chased one away at 98 miles an hour.
- 1:53:41Speaker 6: For Newcomb, his other appearance against Houston in the postseason,
- 1:53:46Speaker 6: he went in and gave up two runs on two
- 1:53:49Speaker 6: hits and a homer. The pitch. Swing and a miss
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: and he struck out Martinez on three pitches. Think he
- 1:53:57Speaker 6: didn't have a little extra anger behind those pitches? And
- 1:54:00Speaker 6: that's a massive, I mean massive, strikeout because it keeps
- 1:54:05Speaker 6: that runner at third. And now there are two men out.
- 1:54:10Speaker 6: And now it's up to Travis Bazzana. Another left-on-left matchup.
- 1:54:18Speaker 6: First and third. Two down, two nothing, Cleveland. The pitch.
- 1:54:23Speaker 6: Breaking ball in there, a strike. Bazana doubled on Saturday.
- 1:54:31Speaker 6: At the cut of the grass at third, well off
- 1:54:33Speaker 6: the line is Vargas. Holding at first is Murakami. Middle
- 1:54:37Speaker 6: infielders back. The pitch. And it's a little bit wide.
- 1:54:42Speaker 6: And they count one and one. Travis Bazana said his
- 1:54:47Speaker 6: tournament experience at Oregon State Really helped him feel settled
- 1:54:52Speaker 6: on Saturday. He said, yeah, I was nervous, but under control.
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: The pitch, a swing and a bouncer foul, first base side,
- 1:55:02Speaker 6: one and two. Travis said, my freshman year when we
- 1:55:06Speaker 6: were in the tournaments trying to get to Omaha, he goes,
- 1:55:09Speaker 6: I was a mess. I was just not able to
- 1:55:12Speaker 6: settle myself down. He said it was better my sophomore
- 1:55:16Speaker 6: and junior years, and he said, I felt that way Saturday.
- 1:55:20Speaker 6: The pitch. Swing and a foul back. Boy, he got
- 1:55:22Speaker 6: a breaking ball there on the middle of the plate.
- 1:55:26Speaker 6: Stays alive at 1-2. With Adele at third. Low at first.
- 1:55:32Speaker 6: 2-0 Cleveland. And they've done something early. And it's the
- 1:55:38Speaker 6: first time in the playoffs this year Chicago has trailed.
- 1:55:42Speaker 6: The pitch. Outside. Breaking ball. 2-2. And this is a
- 1:55:47Speaker 6: good event for Travis Bozzana. against a tough left-hander in
- 1:55:52Speaker 6: Sean Newcomb, who in 60 games this year had a.
- 1:55:56Speaker 6: 309 ERA. Now the set. Now the 2-2. Swung on,
- 1:56:05Speaker 6: lifted in the air to left. Down the line, twisting
- 1:56:08Speaker 6: foul and out of play. And the battle goes on.
- 1:56:13Speaker 6: Six pitches and counting. Well, the walks have finally hurt
- 1:56:25Speaker 6: the White Sox, and a fielding error and throwing error
- 1:56:29Speaker 6: by the pitcher Newcomb. Cleveland has one hit. A laid-off
- 1:56:34Speaker 6: base hit by Stephen Kwan. Now the 2-2. Outside full count.
- 1:56:41Speaker 6: On deck, Patrick Bailey. Travis Bozzana trying to put an
- 1:56:49Speaker 6: exclamation mark on this first inning. The payoff pitch. Strike
- 1:56:57Speaker 6: three called. Bazana outlooking. Inning is over. And the Guardians
- 1:57:02Speaker 6: take a 2-0 lead. We have played one on the
- 1:57:07Speaker 6: Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: Do you have 3XY?
- 1:57:11Speaker 30: I'll be bringing the heat every afternoon at 3 on
- 1:57:14Speaker 30: 570 WKBN.
- 1:57:18Speaker 6: Well, Gavin Williams has been given a 2-0 lead. And
- 1:57:22Speaker 6: we'll see how the White Sox respond. They never trailed
- 1:57:26Speaker 6: on Saturday. They never trailed in either win in the
- 1:57:30Speaker 6: Wild Card Series at Houston. But one thing that everyone
- 1:57:35Speaker 6: has seen from the White Sox all season long, this
- 1:57:39Speaker 6: is a confident group, and this is a group that
- 1:57:43Speaker 6: has no quit in them. These two ball clubs are
- 1:57:46Speaker 6: so similar as far as their mental makeup, And how
- 1:57:51Speaker 6: they approach the game. And how both managers expect them
- 1:57:55Speaker 6: to play the game. So while 2-0. Sounds great if
- 1:58:00Speaker 6: you're a Guardians fan. Hard to imagine the game ends
- 1:58:04Speaker 6: up 2-0. Andrew Benintendi will lead it off. The left-handed
- 1:58:10Speaker 6: hitter and veteran, D.H. The wind by Williams, the pitch,
- 1:58:16Speaker 6: and a tie in wide ball one. And Gavin Williams
- 1:58:19Speaker 6: sat a long time in that dugout. Now the kick
- 1:58:27Speaker 6: and delivery. Outside again, missed with the curveball, 2-0. Williams
- 1:58:34Speaker 6: made 15 pitches in that dominant first inning. Now he
- 1:58:39Speaker 6: wants a new baseball. Andrew Benintendi, one of the few
- 1:58:44Speaker 6: real veterans on this club, 32 years of age, 11th
- 1:58:49Speaker 6: Major League year. He cuts and misses, strike one. Benintendi
- 1:58:55Speaker 6: batted 240 this year, 15 homers, 78 RBIs. Out of
- 1:59:01Speaker 6: Madeira High School in Cincinnati. The 2-1 pitch. Swing and
- 1:59:06Speaker 6: a miss. Boy, that sinker away has great life. And
- 1:59:11Speaker 6: the count evens. Talked about Madeira a lot. Tremendous high
- 1:59:16Speaker 6: school basketball player. Division III co-player of the year in
- 1:59:21Speaker 6: the state of Ohio. The pitch. Strike! Three called. And boy,
- 1:59:26Speaker 6: when he has gotten to two strikes, Gavin Williams... Has
- 1:59:31Speaker 6: gone to the curve ball and the slider to freeze
- 1:59:34Speaker 6: White Sox hitters. Third strikeout for Williams. One down in
- 1:59:38Speaker 6: the second inning. And here's center fielder Tristan Peters. Now
- 1:59:48Speaker 6: the wind. Now the pitch. Peters takes it. It's in there.
- 1:59:52Speaker 6: A called strike on the slider. Peters. Three for nine
- 1:59:58Speaker 6: in the postseason. Went one for two on Saturday. The
- 2:00:04Speaker 6: kick and the pitch. And it's a bit high. One
- 2:00:07Speaker 6: and one to count. Well, we have a moment this inning.
- 2:00:13Speaker 6: We want to send along some congratulations on recent nuptials.
- 2:00:19Speaker 6: Here's the wind and the one-one pitch. In tight. Almost
- 2:00:23Speaker 6: nicked him. Congratulations to Emily and Mike DeMuro. Emily Anderson,
- 2:00:31Speaker 6: the daughter of Scott and Patty Anderson. Now the 2-1 pitch.
- 2:00:38Speaker 6: And it's low 3-1. And Mike DeMuro, the son of
- 2:00:42Speaker 6: Dominic DeMuro. And Mike is now an emergency doctor at
- 2:00:48Speaker 6: the clinic. And Emily is a physician's assistant at the clinic.
- 2:00:54Speaker 6: The pitch in their strengthful count. They recently got married
- 2:00:58Speaker 6: on Friday. Great families, both the Andersons and DeMoros. And
- 2:01:03Speaker 6: of course Scott, one of our favorite people downstairs. Congratulations
- 2:01:08Speaker 6: to Mike and Emily. Now the payoff pitch. Swing and
- 2:01:13Speaker 6: a miss. Four strikeouts for Gavin Williams. As much as
- 2:01:20Speaker 6: we love Scott Anderson... We know Emily got all the
- 2:01:24Speaker 6: braids from Mama Patty. Wait a minute. I mean, we're
- 2:01:29Speaker 6: traveling tonight. That'll be your suitcase in Lake Michigan. Oh,
- 2:01:34Speaker 6: thank you. Congrats to Scott and Patty. Two down, two nothing. Cleveland, Braden, Montgomery. Check, swing, strike.
- 2:01:45Speaker 6: Now Scott does a great job as do all of
- 2:01:47Speaker 6: the people for Tony Amato and Brandon Biller and Willie Jenks,
- 2:01:55Speaker 6: the pitch, swung on and missed, 0-2. These players are
- 2:01:59Speaker 6: well taken care of in both clubhouses and couldn't be
- 2:02:03Speaker 6: happier for the Andersons and the Marls. Now they rise
- 2:02:08Speaker 6: again at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario. 2-0 Cleveland.
- 2:02:13Speaker 6: Two down, second inning. Now the kick and the pitch.
- 2:02:20Speaker 6: Swung on and up. Help me stay alive swing. A
- 2:02:24Speaker 6: foul ball that Brayden Montgomery may want to start that
- 2:02:28Speaker 6: swing a touch sooner. It was on the third base side.
- 2:02:32Speaker 6: He barely got a piece of it. Now the kick
- 2:02:35Speaker 6: and the 0-2. Outside. Trying to get him to bite
- 2:02:40Speaker 6: on the curveball.
- 2:02:41Speaker 11: 1-2.
- 2:02:42Speaker 6: Montgomery one of eight rookies on this White Sox ball club.
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: Now the 1-2.
- 2:02:52Speaker 6: God, I'm swinging on the slider. Williams has struck out
- 2:02:57Speaker 6: the side. Five in the game. And the American League
- 2:03:02Speaker 6: strikeout king. Looking sharp today. 2-0 Cleveland in the middle
- 2:03:07Speaker 6: of inning number two.

- 2:04:55Speaker 30: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 2:04:57Speaker 30: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN.
- 2:05:04Speaker 6: Sean Newcomb, who got out of that mess in the
- 2:05:07Speaker 6: first inning. will stay on at least to start the
- 2:05:10Speaker 6: second inning. 2-0 Cleveland. White Sox down to their second
- 2:05:15Speaker 6: pitcher already. At some point, we'll see Sean Burke, who's
- 2:05:23Speaker 6: been one of their best starters all year. Marathon knows
- 2:05:27Speaker 6: you fans are the true co-pilot of any team. Marathon
- 2:05:30Speaker 6: here to keep you and your team fueled all season long.
- 2:05:33Speaker 6: Marathon driven together. Sean Burke begins to warm in the
- 2:05:37Speaker 6: White Sox bullpen. This bullpen approach, starter reliever, then go
- 2:05:44Speaker 6: to a normal starter, has been working really since the
- 2:05:48Speaker 6: White Sox went to it in September. They felt like
- 2:05:53Speaker 6: they were in playoff baseball in September. Patrick Bailey tried
- 2:05:57Speaker 6: to hold up Chase's strike one, switch hitting catcher batting right-handed.
- 2:06:02Speaker 6: They did it out of necessity, and then it worked
- 2:06:05Speaker 6: so well that they've just stayed with it. Certainly worked
- 2:06:09Speaker 6: in Houston, worked on Saturday. Bailey takes strike two. At
- 2:06:15Speaker 6: some point, though, you would think there'd be a cost
- 2:06:19Speaker 6: involved as far as a tired bullpen. That of it.
- 2:06:23Speaker 6: The pitch... Bailey takes high and wide, one and two.
- 2:06:26Speaker 6: That's part of it, and I think we saw during
- 2:06:28Speaker 6: the regular season, it is hard if you're using four
- 2:06:30Speaker 6: or five relievers for all of them to have a
- 2:06:33Speaker 6: good day or night every time. The pitch, down and in,
- 2:06:38Speaker 6: a breaking ball, two and two. I feel like you'll
- 2:06:41Speaker 6: run into one reliever who's off with their command, something
- 2:06:44Speaker 6: that just doesn't go well, or you're on him, and
- 2:06:47Speaker 6: it results in runs being scored. We've seen a couple
- 2:06:49Speaker 6: up early today. Now the kick and 2-2, way outside.
- 2:06:54Speaker 6: Anthony Kaye started, made 17 pitches. He went a third
- 2:06:59Speaker 6: of an inning, gave up two runs. One was earned,
- 2:07:01Speaker 6: one hit, walked a batter. He's had a hard time
- 2:07:04Speaker 6: throwing strikes. Now the payoff. Inside corner, strike three called
- 2:07:10Speaker 6: on the breaking ball. Newcomb strikes out Bailey and he's
- 2:07:13Speaker 6: struck out three in a row. Anthony Kaye, who started today,
- 2:07:18Speaker 6: faced the three batters. Of the 17 pitches he made,
- 2:07:24Speaker 6: only 8 were strikes. Brian Rocchio, the switch interbatting right-handed.
- 2:07:30Speaker 6: 0 for 2 Saturday. Shows bunt, takes down and away.
- 2:07:35Speaker 6: Ball 1. Shadows covering the entire infield. Only the center
- 2:07:44Speaker 6: fielder and the batter's eye in Sunshine. That pitch is
- 2:07:47Speaker 6: a strike. 1 and 1. Boyd Newcomb. He is throwing
- 2:07:53Speaker 6: upper 90s here. The left-hander out of the University of
- 2:07:58Speaker 6: Hartford lets it fly. all the way to the backstop.
- 2:08:01Speaker 6: Ball two, two and one. What you would like to
- 2:08:09Speaker 6: do is make Sean Burke a moot point by getting
- 2:08:14Speaker 6: ahead by a bunch. The pitch outside, three and one.
- 2:08:20Speaker 6: But Will Venable won't waste much time getting to Burke.
- 2:08:24Speaker 6: And Cleveland constructed their lineup today like a right-hander was starting,
- 2:08:30Speaker 6: even though we've seen back-to-back lefties. The pitch. Inside corner strike.
- 2:08:36Speaker 6: Full count on Rokiel. Newcomb in his 10th major league year. Pumps.
- 2:08:47Speaker 17: Fires.
- 2:08:48Speaker 6: Rocchio fouling it down the right side into the club seats.
- 2:08:51Speaker 6: We'll do it again at 3-2. Another off day tomorrow,
- 2:08:57Speaker 6: which is really beneficial for the White Sox in their
- 2:09:00Speaker 6: heavy bullpen usage. Now the payoff. Swung on, hit in
- 2:09:05Speaker 6: the air, right center, Peters, medium deep, and the center
- 2:09:10Speaker 6: fielder retires Rocchio, 2 down. The first time you would
- 2:09:15Speaker 6: play back-to-back days... would be game three on Wednesday, and
- 2:09:22Speaker 6: if needed, game four on Thursday. If there is a
- 2:09:29Speaker 6: game five, it would be on Saturday, and Friday would
- 2:09:32Speaker 6: be a travel day. Top of the order, Stephen Kwan,
- 2:09:36Speaker 6: singled and scored. Kwan takes outside a ball. Cleveland had
- 2:09:40Speaker 6: one hit as Kwan snuck one through the right side
- 2:09:45Speaker 6: of the infield. to start the first. The 1-0. There's
- 2:09:51Speaker 6: the strike. 1-1. Two down, nobody on. 2-0 Cleveland. Second
- 2:09:58Speaker 6: inning of game two. Only American League Division Series games today.
- 2:10:03Speaker 6: The pitch. Strike two called. Later, it'll be New York
- 2:10:09Speaker 6: down one game playing Tampa Bay and St.
- 2:10:14Speaker 46: Pete.
- 2:10:15Speaker 6: Now the 1-2 and time called. Oh my! Home plate
- 2:10:21Speaker 6: umpire Gabe Morales calls a pitch clock violation on Newcomb.
- 2:10:26Speaker 6: That'll even the count of 2-2. We haven't seen many
- 2:10:29Speaker 6: pitch clock violations all season long. Now the 2-2 to Kwon.
- 2:10:40Speaker 6: Swung on, banged up the middle. Behind second, clubbed by Montgomery.
- 2:10:44Speaker 6: Lost the handle, throw to first, just in time. We'll
- 2:10:48Speaker 6: see if Cleveland challenges. Colson Montgomery looked like he was
- 2:10:53Speaker 6: going to drop that ball as he got ready to throw,
- 2:10:57Speaker 6: but still made the play in time. 2-0 Cleveland, 2
- 2:11:00Speaker 6: in the books on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network. Well,
- 2:11:04Speaker 6: it's official.
- 2:11:05Speaker 12: In a recent.
- 2:11:06Speaker 30: And I'll be bringing the heat every afternoon at 3
- 2:11:09Speaker 30: on 570 WKBN.
- 2:11:13Speaker 6: Dollar Bank, the proud banking partner of the Guardians, 28
- 2:11:16Speaker 6: locations in Northeast Ohio, ready to provide solutions to help
- 2:11:21Speaker 6: get you there. Cleveland with a 2-0 lead. They took
- 2:11:25Speaker 6: advantage of one base hit, two walks, and a throwing
- 2:11:29Speaker 6: error to get their two runs. Meanwhile, Gavin Williams has
- 2:11:33Speaker 6: struck out five in two innings. National League Division Series
- 2:11:39Speaker 6: continue tomorrow. Milwaukee at San Diego up 2-0. And then
- 2:11:45Speaker 6: Atlanta will host L.A. tied at one. You won't have
- 2:11:51Speaker 6: a much more incredible finish than the one we saw
- 2:11:54Speaker 6: in Milwaukee yesterday. My goodness, they were going bananas in Milwaukee.
- 2:11:59Speaker 6: Jackson Churio can play at Can he drive yet, or
- 2:12:03Speaker 6: does he have his driver's license? A great young player
- 2:12:07Speaker 6: who had a tremendous at-bat against Mason Miller. And the
- 2:12:10Speaker 6: three guys ahead of him that somehow got walks off
- 2:12:14Speaker 6: Mason Miller. Here's Chase Mydroth, second baseman, takes a called strike.
- 2:12:20Speaker 6: I won't name whom, but we have a number of
- 2:12:25Speaker 6: Major League pitchers from yesteryear working this series for various entities.
- 2:12:32Speaker 6: The 0-1 pitch, swing and a miss, 0-2, and he
- 2:12:36Speaker 6: maintained that Mason Miller must have been tipping his pitches.
- 2:12:40Speaker 6: He said, when you're a pitcher and you throw like
- 2:12:43Speaker 6: he does and nobody flinches at your slider, something's wrong.
- 2:12:48Speaker 6: The pitch, swing on, foul back, 0-2. So there's always
- 2:12:54Speaker 6: that intrigue, and if you are tipping your pitches, then
- 2:12:57Speaker 6: that's up to you to figure out how to stop it.
- 2:13:02Speaker 6: That takes nothing away from an incredible finish. The 0-2.
- 2:13:07Speaker 6: Swing and a miss. Again a curve ball. And my
- 2:13:11Speaker 6: draw is strikeout victim number six. And that is five
- 2:13:16Speaker 6: consecutive White Sox hitters that have struck out. Here's Colson Montgomery.
- 2:13:22Speaker 6: The left-handed hitting shortstop. And when you see Gavin Williams
- 2:13:28Speaker 6: early in the game like this... You know mechanically, he's
- 2:13:33Speaker 6: locked in. Montgomery cuts and misses at a curveball. Brad Goldberg,
- 2:13:41Speaker 6: who does such a great job as one of the
- 2:13:43Speaker 6: pitching coaches, along with, of course, Carl Willis and the
- 2:13:48Speaker 6: rest of the gang. The pitch down and in, check swing,
- 2:13:52Speaker 6: he didn't go. Brad Goldberg says you'll know early on
- 2:13:55Speaker 6: Gavin Williams. And he said, mechanically, we felt like we
- 2:13:59Speaker 6: got him back locked in during the simulated game last week.
- 2:14:04Speaker 6: The pitch, check swing, he went around that time. One
- 2:14:07Speaker 6: and two to count. He was out of sorts in
- 2:14:10Speaker 6: his last start at Kansas City. They worked on it.
- 2:14:15Speaker 6: And as Brad Goldberg says, when you're as athletic and
- 2:14:18Speaker 6: as big and powerful as Gavin Williams, sometimes you can
- 2:14:23Speaker 6: get out of sorts because... You're so athletic, you can
- 2:14:28Speaker 6: sometimes try and do too much. The one-two pitch. Oh my,
- 2:14:34Speaker 6: a little bit high. Thought it was a strike. So
- 2:14:37Speaker 6: did Patrick Bailey. He's challenging the call.
- 2:14:45Speaker 32: And it missed.
- 2:14:49Speaker 6: By what? One-tenth of an inch. Cleveland down to one
- 2:14:56Speaker 6: challenge the rest of the game. 2-2 the count on
- 2:15:00Speaker 6: Montgomery who socked 31 homers. The 2-2. Down and in.
- 2:15:06Speaker 6: Breaking ball. With 31 homers, Montgomery also set a major
- 2:15:11Speaker 6: league record striking out 227 times. He is truly the
- 2:15:18Speaker 6: epitome of the phrase feast or famine. 2-0 Cleveland. One down,
- 2:15:23Speaker 6: third inning. The payoff pitch to Colson Montgomery. High, and
- 2:15:30Speaker 6: he walked him. Good at bat by Montgomery. Second walk
- 2:15:33Speaker 6: by Gavin Williams. A one-out base runner. Top of the
- 2:15:37Speaker 6: order in Sam Antonacci. With numerous big hits off Cleveland
- 2:15:43Speaker 6: pitching this summer. The rookie batted 277. Eight homers, 25 doubles,
- 2:15:50Speaker 6: 20 steals. The pitch. And it's in there. Again, Antonacci
- 2:16:02Speaker 6: in left field today. He's really a second baseman. And
- 2:16:07Speaker 6: he got Byrne playing left field in a mammoth win
- 2:16:11Speaker 6: for Cleveland in September on what proved to be a
- 2:16:13Speaker 6: walk-off two-run double by Brian Rocchio. The 0-1 pitch. Bullseye,
- 2:16:19Speaker 6: nothing into the count. He is challenging the call. I
- 2:16:25Speaker 6: don't know about that challenge.
- 2:16:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:16:31Speaker 6: Not even close. So both clubs have lost a challenge
- 2:16:37Speaker 6: here in the third. And Tenaci down in the count 0-2.
- 2:16:41Speaker 6: One out, one on. 2-0 Cleveland. Outfield not deep. Not
- 2:16:48Speaker 6: quite straight away. Just a tad the other way toward left.
- 2:16:56Speaker 6: And Tenaci taking a long time before he climbs back in.
- 2:16:59Speaker 6: Not sure how much time you're allowed. I guess it's infinite.
- 2:17:05Speaker 6: Now the two strike pitch. Fouled back. Great to see
- 2:17:14Speaker 6: the commissioner here. Rob Manfred taking in this ball game.
- 2:17:19Speaker 6: He's a guy that should be given a lot of
- 2:17:20Speaker 6: credit for some of these.
- 2:17:23Speaker 3: New rules.
- 2:17:27Speaker 6: And the new functions that we have in the game
- 2:17:31Speaker 6: like the abs challenge now the o2 down and in
- 2:17:35Speaker 6: one and two i don't think anybody would argue that
- 2:17:40Speaker 6: the abs challenge system that the commissioner wanted has been
- 2:17:43Speaker 6: a mammoth success you think of the ghost runner in
- 2:17:47Speaker 6: extra innings in the regular season and many other things.
- 2:17:52Speaker 6: Now the one-two delivery. And he just missed low and
- 2:17:57Speaker 6: away with a breaking ball, two and two. And the
- 2:18:02Speaker 6: White Sox making Gavin Williams work here in the third inning.
- 2:18:09Speaker 6: Now the 2-2 pitch to Antonacci. Fouled it down the
- 2:18:16Speaker 6: left side. Lower deck will do it again at 2-2.
- 2:18:22Speaker 6: White Sox led the American League in runs scored almost
- 2:18:25Speaker 6: five a game. They averaged more than a half a
- 2:18:30Speaker 6: run a game. More than Cleveland. They led the league
- 2:18:34Speaker 6: in walks. Third in the league in homers. Third in OPS.
- 2:18:39Speaker 6: Now the 2-2. Swung on, fouled back. And again, how
- 2:18:47Speaker 6: much better will they get with eight rookies on this
- 2:18:51Speaker 6: club and a good farm system? The White Sox look
- 2:18:57Speaker 6: to be a force for some time to come. Williams
- 2:19:03Speaker 6: with the 2-2 to Antonacci. Swung on. Ground ball to second.
- 2:19:08Speaker 6: Up with it. Bazana to second.
- 2:19:10Speaker 7: One.
- 2:19:10Speaker 11: Rokio.
- 2:19:12Speaker 6: Got him on the double play. How did they turn that?
- 2:19:16Speaker 6: Antonacci runs well. What a job by Bazana and Rokio.
- 2:19:22Speaker 6: Middle of the third.
- 2:19:23Speaker 11: 2-0 Cleveland.

- 2:21:39Speaker 6: Tom Hamilton and Jim Rosenhaus with you. Brian Montse at
- 2:21:43Speaker 6: Command Center and our good buddy Joe Fritchin of the
- 2:21:46Speaker 6: Cleveland Cavaliers helping us out in the booth. Joe and
- 2:21:50Speaker 6: the Cavs, their season opener Thursday. This Thursday?
- 2:22:00Speaker 4: Huh?
- 2:22:01Speaker 6: Didn't the playoffs just end, Joe? Wow, I didn't realize
- 2:22:05Speaker 6: it was Thursday. A couple of practices and then right
- 2:22:08Speaker 6: into the preseason. Who's getting Tim Elkhorn back from Fiji?
- 2:22:14Speaker 6: Sean Newcomb's back out there. His third inning of work,
- 2:22:17Speaker 6: he's made 31 pitches. He'll face Jose Ramirez, Chase DeLauder,
- 2:22:24Speaker 6: Joe Adele, although right-hander Sean Burke has thrown a complete
- 2:22:29Speaker 6: game in the bullpen by now. He should be ready.
- 2:22:32Speaker 6: Ramirez will take. It's in there, a strike. Hosey walked
- 2:22:36Speaker 6: in that two-run first. Stephen Kwan singled. Hosey walked. Joe
- 2:22:41Speaker 6: Adele walked. Now the 0-1. Down and away.
- 2:22:46Speaker 42: 1-1.
- 2:22:47Speaker 6: And then Nathaniel Lowe hit the high chopper to Newcomb.
- 2:22:51Speaker 6: Who had to wait for it to come down on
- 2:22:53Speaker 6: the mound. Hurried his throw and made a wild throw
- 2:22:57Speaker 6: to first. For an error and two runs scored. Ramirez
- 2:23:01Speaker 6: takes a fastball strike. And they count 1-2. Newcomb has
- 2:23:13Speaker 6: really thrown the ball well. Now the kick and the 1-2. High, 2-2.
- 2:23:24Speaker 6: What's amazing in the playoffs, and of course the White
- 2:23:28Speaker 6: Sox had to win the wild card series, swept Houston
- 2:23:32Speaker 6: in two. And now this being their second game in
- 2:23:36Speaker 6: the division series, the pitch, swing and a foul off
- 2:23:39Speaker 6: to the right. The White Sox now in postseason play.
- 2:23:45Speaker 6: They have, to this point, pitched 29 innings. 19 have
- 2:23:51Speaker 6: been by the bullpen. Now the 2-2. Swung on a
- 2:23:57Speaker 6: chopper to first. Handled by Murakami. He'll make the play unassisted.
- 2:24:01Speaker 6: One down. Here's Chase DeLauder grounded out in that first.
- 2:24:08Speaker 6: Left on left. Hard to believe it was a year
- 2:24:17Speaker 6: ago Chase DeLauder made his Major League debut in the
- 2:24:22Speaker 6: second game of the Wild Card Series against Detroit. The
- 2:24:26Speaker 6: pitch leans him back a ball. And asking Chase, does
- 2:24:30Speaker 6: that help you for this postseason? He says, absolutely not.
- 2:24:36Speaker 6: He said, last year was such a blur. He said,
- 2:24:39Speaker 6: I can hardly remember it. The pitch down and away, 2-0.
- 2:24:45Speaker 6: He was just happy to get healthy. Had missed a
- 2:24:48Speaker 6: chunk of last year again in the minor leagues with injuries.
- 2:24:52Speaker 6: Now the 2-0. Swung on, banged up the middle. That'll
- 2:24:56Speaker 6: be a base hit into center. And again, Chase DeLotter
- 2:24:59Speaker 6: able to hit left-handed pitching. But Chase was with that
- 2:25:05Speaker 6: extended camp trying to stay sharp. The next thing you know,
- 2:25:09Speaker 6: Cleveland brings him up. Game 2. And he makes his
- 2:25:13Speaker 6: major league debut. And he said, I'm flying all over
- 2:25:15Speaker 6: the country. I'm like, what? I'm in the playoffs? I'm
- 2:25:18Speaker 6: in a first major league game? And he said it
- 2:25:20Speaker 6: was such a blur that he can't really use that
- 2:25:23Speaker 6: experience to help him this year. But it looks fine
- 2:25:27Speaker 6: so far. The day is done for Sean Newcomb. One
- 2:25:32Speaker 6: of many pitching changes that we will see throughout this
- 2:25:35Speaker 6: game from the White Sox. 2-0 Cleveland here in the third.

- 2:27:13Speaker 12: Tomorrow afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN.
- 2:27:19Speaker 6: A starter, Sean Burke, now coming out of the bullpen
- 2:27:22Speaker 6: as this pitching chaos has gotten the White Sox into
- 2:27:26Speaker 6: the postseason. And beyond Houston. And now the one game
- 2:27:31Speaker 6: to none lead over Cleveland. 2-0 Guardians. Sean Burke this year.
- 2:27:37Speaker 13: 32-2.
- 2:27:40Speaker 6: Might as well call them starts. 27 true starts. Five
- 2:27:44Speaker 6: times they did this starter reliever. Bring him out of
- 2:27:47Speaker 6: the pen.
- 2:27:47Speaker 11: 11-7.
- 2:27:47Speaker 2: A 3-34 ERA.
- 2:27:48Speaker 6: A 2-25 batting average against Cleveland. Another guy throwing in
- 2:27:58Speaker 6: the mid-90s. Righty-righty matchup. Joe Adele the batter. The pitch.
- 2:28:05Speaker 6: And it's way outside with a breaking ball. Fastball sinker.
- 2:28:10Speaker 6: Curveball slider. Changeup. And an occasional cutter. One out, one on,
- 2:28:23Speaker 6: 2-0 Cleveland. Adele cuts and misses. Adele intentionally walked his
- 2:28:28Speaker 6: first time up. Sean Burke. He's ready. He fires, and
- 2:28:43Speaker 6: it's high, 2-1. In his career against Cleveland, 2-2, a
- 2:28:48Speaker 6: 2-56 ERA. And he was dominant against Cleveland this year.
- 2:29:01Speaker 6: Outfield spread out fairly deep. The 2-1 before it's made
- 2:29:05Speaker 6: a throw to first back standing De Lauder. Burke faced
- 2:29:09Speaker 6: Cleveland three times this year. Worked a total of 17 innings.
- 2:29:15Speaker 6: Gave up one run. Struck out 21. Now the 2-1 pitch.
- 2:29:24Speaker 6: Swing and a miss got him to chase the fastball away.
- 2:29:31Speaker 6: And the count two and two. This year Burke averaged
- 2:29:35Speaker 6: five innings to start, but he averaged ten strikeouts, three
- 2:29:39Speaker 6: walks per nine. Third base side of the rubber, the
- 2:29:45Speaker 6: set and the pitch. Swung on, popped up foul into
- 2:29:49Speaker 6: the upper deck behind the plate. Boy, they are really
- 2:29:53Speaker 6: working away to Joe Adele. Adele open stance. Knocked in
- 2:30:06Speaker 6: 94 this year. The 2-2. Strike three called. Locked him
- 2:30:12Speaker 6: up with a slider. And Burke strikes out Adele for
- 2:30:16Speaker 6: the second out in the third. Two down, Cleveland up 2-0.
- 2:30:21Speaker 6: Runner at first for Nathaniel Lowe, who hit that high
- 2:30:26Speaker 6: chopper to the mound that resulted in Cleveland's two runs
- 2:30:31Speaker 6: when Sean Newcomb threw it away trying to get Lowe
- 2:30:35Speaker 6: at first. Left-handed slugger Nathaniel Lowe. The pitch. Curveball and
- 2:30:43Speaker 6: he pounds it. Foul first base side. Nathaniel was a
- 2:30:48Speaker 6: part of that Texas Rangers ball club that won it
