- 0:41Speaker 1: it protects my eye from the computer light. Okay, God,

- 1:07Speaker 1: I haven't seen these pillows before. No, they just usually
- 1:10Speaker 1: are covered up by the blanket that's on my thighs
- 1:13Speaker 1: because me in Atlanta and it's cold as funk right now,
- 1:16Speaker 1: so uh and I don't like to turn the heat
- 1:19Speaker 1: on in my house. So no, these are not new
- 1:22Speaker 1: but what is going on? Just a lot of hostings
- 1:25Speaker 1: of radio, a lot of Martell, a lot of Martell drinking, okay,
- 1:27Speaker 1: a lot of Martel going on, a lot of Ivan
- 1:30Speaker 1: going on, lots of a lot of stuff. I actually
- 1:33Speaker 1: got a couple of gifts coming up for you, RRI
- 1:35Speaker 1: and U o CT. I have a bar. I have
- 1:37Speaker 1: a bar. I need the case. Please. I know you've
- 1:39Speaker 1: got a bar and I saw what was on it,
- 1:41Speaker 1: so I'm gonna help you elevate your bar. Brother, please, absolutely,
- 1:46Speaker 1: what's what you got? What you got going on? I'm
- 1:49Speaker 1: just working on random projects and they're kind of boring.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You know, several companies. You know, it's boring stuff you
- 1:57Speaker 1: you don't want to out, but it's much bag. You
- 2:00Speaker 1: get into that and that is so important because you
- 2:03Speaker 1: know it's nothing like a corporate bag. Yeah, definitely. Well,
- 2:06Speaker 1: you know, Atlanta's wide open, so I'm not hearing these streets. Um.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I did problem with my wife. I would wear my
- 2:13Speaker 1: my mask everywhere and I have to come home and
- 2:17Speaker 1: uh disinfect that lightsauce spraying, and then I have to
- 2:20Speaker 1: take all my clothes off, put him in his bag,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and then I have to hop right in the shower.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I can't touch nobody, talking nobody until after I t
- 2:26Speaker 1: be shower. I'm coming outside. So and that's fair. And
- 2:30Speaker 1: I love that you are totally down for it. You
- 2:33Speaker 1: respect it, you understand it. You've got a family to
- 2:35Speaker 1: take care of. Leave the RNA outside still Corona free
- 2:40Speaker 1: in the house. And um, that's a new studio, right
- 2:43Speaker 1: did you get behind the team? Give us like a yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 1: we fully moved. We fully moved into the house. Um,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and I set up my DJ booth. This is my
- 2:51Speaker 1: DJ booth slash uh area that I will be doing
- 2:55Speaker 1: all my podcasting with you guys. And uh, just in
- 2:58Speaker 1: case the world shuts down again to quarantine, I would
- 3:01Speaker 1: be broadcasting radio show streets Now four, five, six, ten
- 3:05Speaker 1: pm Monday through Friday from here. I love the love
- 3:10Speaker 1: it how you are. And let us know what the
- 3:13Speaker 1: plaque in. Yeah, not too many people have, uh these plaques.
- 3:17Speaker 1: A lot of people have the cardw B plat Uh
- 3:18Speaker 1: this is making the stadium platt But actually it's caught
- 3:21Speaker 1: Tina Snow when she first came to Atlanta two thousand
- 3:24Speaker 1: seventeen and Flat DC ran around the city. Um, and
- 3:27Speaker 1: she went by Tina Snow um, and then we started
- 3:30Speaker 1: playing her song Big Old Free before everybody, maybe about
- 3:34Speaker 1: eight months before everybody. And you know, the owner the
- 3:37Speaker 1: labels that she was signed to, Carl fifteen on one,
- 3:41Speaker 1: sent about seventeen to twenty people the plaques. Who really
- 3:45Speaker 1: was on board? You know, why be in the mirror.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I got some little baby plaques out there. I got some.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I got a Young Dolf plat it's a really big
- 3:52Speaker 1: one for major. I got a Rich the Kid platque
- 3:55Speaker 1: Rich the Kid. You said you you're sending me to
- 3:57Speaker 1: like five more plaques because I kid a lot, send
- 4:01Speaker 1: me the plaques player. So I got about five more
- 4:03Speaker 1: plaques coming. Um. Little baby just went double platinum. And
- 4:08Speaker 1: no little baby slander will be tolerated. So that's a
- 4:11Speaker 1: whole another thing. No future slander will be tolerated. Let's
- 4:15Speaker 1: slander when there are received, don't worry about it. No, no,
- 4:17Speaker 1: we're not talking about that. That's my favorite rapper. He
- 4:20Speaker 1: didn't do it. He's innocent. Little Baby is innocent. He
- 4:24Speaker 1: is innocent. He did not do what the people are
- 4:27Speaker 1: talking about. He did well, I don't know what you're
- 4:30Speaker 1: talking about, but you know you got a fire studio
- 4:33Speaker 1: back there, player. We're gonna get into this. In case
- 4:35Speaker 1: you missed, because I have missed a whole lot because
- 4:38Speaker 1: y'all talking over me. Let's get into it. You're listening
- 4:42Speaker 1: to Okay, In case you mentioned the Shanty and Keisha
- 4:53Speaker 1: Cole were based off this Saturday. I don't know who's
- 4:56Speaker 1: gonna win. I think it's back to the outfit. Don't
- 4:59Speaker 1: come down to who got the best outfit on No,
- 5:06Speaker 1: first of all, don't minimize the women's battle down to
- 5:09Speaker 1: it depends on what outfit they're gonna wear. Okay, listen,
- 5:14Speaker 1: they got hits the Okay, so I get a pole
- 5:17Speaker 1: on my Instagram story and I was really I thought
- 5:20Speaker 1: it was gonna be about fifty fifty, but Ashanti did
- 5:22Speaker 1: take the lead on my Instagram poll. For me, what
- 5:27Speaker 1: I feel is going to be the disadvantage for Ashanti
- 5:31Speaker 1: is I feel like Ashanti is more of a mainstream
- 5:35Speaker 1: artist where kis Chakole has very has a very specific audience.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Right like all of us grew up loving kis Chakole,
- 5:44Speaker 1: especially all my girls and full board. You know what
- 5:46Speaker 1: I'm saying, Well, it's a certain style of people that
- 5:50Speaker 1: really rocked with Kis Chakole, where if he had pain.
- 5:53Speaker 1: She had pain in her songs. She got a lot
- 5:56Speaker 1: of pain on her songs. It's real, it's relatable. Um,
- 5:59Speaker 1: you know, the the grammatical errors are extremely relatable. You
- 6:03Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. We love her for that. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: then Ashanti again, she's just more mainstream. So I feel
- 6:09Speaker 1: like that's gonna be a disadvantage. Um. But for me personally,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I can't pick because I feel like I get two
- 6:15Speaker 1: different vibes from them too exact, I think two opposite vibes. Um.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You know, Shanti is very bubbly, nice, likable. She's always happy,
- 6:25Speaker 1: always smiling. Kesha cole was only remember she had a
- 6:28Speaker 1: show too, had some ship going on her life. Boy,
- 6:31Speaker 1: it really bad. So you ain't picking, You're you're not picking. Okay,
- 6:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna pick. I'm gonna pick right now on ball
- 6:40Speaker 1: on the ball of the show. I'm gonna go Keisha
- 6:42Speaker 1: cole By two. All right, I'm gonna go keep two Okay,
- 6:48Speaker 1: Uh batter the libre game they both leave rus Uh,
- 6:51Speaker 1: we're gonna see him face off. I love Kisha k
- 6:54Speaker 1: Her records are super dope. Uh Chea was banger. Uh
- 7:00Speaker 1: to let you go all the shudos would have cut
- 7:02Speaker 1: us let it go all to let it go. She's
- 7:04Speaker 1: gonna play like five, let it go, let it goes five.
- 7:07Speaker 1: She need to save that to the end though, so
- 7:09Speaker 1: many um fire hits. But I'm gonna just have to
- 7:11Speaker 1: go with the Panyo the pe n Ashanti classics, classics,
- 7:17Speaker 1: Watch what I say. She got records that she wrote
- 7:20Speaker 1: on that that are classics. The first album alone, Oh
- 7:24Speaker 1: my gosh. Classic. And she still looked good too. She
- 7:29Speaker 1: still looked just like you she was years ago. I'mna
- 7:32Speaker 1: have to go with the die in the ross of
- 7:33Speaker 1: murdering a shan murdering. Gonna give it to you. She
- 7:37Speaker 1: she got it, That's my pick. Did she do that?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Always always on top? Yeah, she got some hugs boy,
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, she did all the j LO records she
- 7:52Speaker 1: wrote but didn't get credit on. You know, Ain't that funny? Yeah? Yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 1: all right, let's move along real quick. A bookie with
- 8:01Speaker 1: the hood. He arrested on gun and drug charges in
- 8:03Speaker 1: New Jersey. You know, if you live in New York,
- 8:05Speaker 1: New Jersey, right down the street, so people go back
- 8:09Speaker 1: and forth. On Sunday, December six six, he was charged
- 8:12Speaker 1: with one kind of unlawful possession of a handgun and
- 8:15Speaker 1: one kind of possession of mirror. Jannam m. You know,
- 8:22Speaker 1: you're not allowed to have a gun in New York,
- 8:23Speaker 1: so this was in New Jersey. I don't know the
- 8:25Speaker 1: gun laws in New Jersey. I do believe there are
- 8:28Speaker 1: a lot. They're not as strict as New York because
- 8:31Speaker 1: you can't even own a gun. It's a minimum two
- 8:33Speaker 1: year uh sentence, non parole. You gotta serve all them
- 8:38Speaker 1: two years in New York. And his cameras everywhere. So
- 8:41Speaker 1: I don't even know how the crime happens in New York,
- 8:43Speaker 1: but it still happens so New Jersey. I think he'll
- 8:45Speaker 1: be okay. He got money, he could pay a lawyer.
- 8:48Speaker 1: He should be okay. He should be okay. But listen,
- 8:51Speaker 1: clearly hip hop as a target. Black people have been
- 8:54Speaker 1: a target from the beginning of time. But clearly hip
- 8:56Speaker 1: hop is under a super five microscope at the moment.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So my advice is just to you know, keep it cute,
- 9:04Speaker 1: Just keep it real cute. Stop doing dumb stuff when
- 9:08Speaker 1: you especially when you are a status and you have
- 9:11Speaker 1: an extra pair of eyes on you, You've got more
- 9:13Speaker 1: people watching you than the average black person, which puts
- 9:17Speaker 1: you and unfortunately a much higher risk whether you've got
- 9:20Speaker 1: the money or not. Facts hopefully got some lawyers are
- 9:24Speaker 1: retaining alright, moving right along. Jeremiah says, thanks God, I'm
- 9:27Speaker 1: still here as he posts his first message since battling
- 9:30Speaker 1: a life thurning case of COVID nineteen. COVID is still real. Mhm,
- 9:37Speaker 1: that's amazing. I'm so glad that he was able to
- 9:40Speaker 1: push through. I'll tell you guys a personal story. So
- 9:44Speaker 1: two of my brothers that lived together, one one and
- 9:47Speaker 1: got tested and tested positive. The other one assumed that
- 9:52Speaker 1: he just has COVID because that brother has it, so
- 9:55Speaker 1: he didn't get his test um. And the thing that's
- 9:58Speaker 1: driving me crazy about it is this particular brother has
- 10:01Speaker 1: pretty a pre existing condition and he is at home quarantining,
- 10:06Speaker 1: in total isolation and refuses to go to the hospital.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Let me tell you guys, my brother who did get
- 10:12Speaker 1: tested on a daily was getting updates alerts. They were
- 10:16Speaker 1: asking him how he felt, um, you know, just keeping
- 10:19Speaker 1: up with him so that if anything changed they could
- 10:22Speaker 1: instruct him on what to do. So I think, um,
- 10:25Speaker 1: it is important to get your COVID tests. It's it's
- 10:27Speaker 1: important to know what your status is. It's also important
- 10:30Speaker 1: to take care of yourself knowing that you have pre
- 10:33Speaker 1: existing conditions. So I am super happy that Jeremiah is okay. Um,
- 10:38Speaker 1: and if my brother is watching and listening this to this,
- 10:41Speaker 1: I need you to go get your ship together because
- 10:43Speaker 1: I love you and I cannot think about you in
- 10:46Speaker 1: this condition right now. It is really think. I think
- 10:50Speaker 1: a lot of people, uh may get symptoms and be
- 10:53Speaker 1: like oh my god, and then kind of get scared
- 10:55Speaker 1: or ashamed to go to the hospital because people would.
- 10:59Speaker 1: But let's bro go get well, go get better. It's important.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It's a global pandemic. It's not nasty to get it
- 11:07Speaker 1: like it's okay, so and like it's not uh. It
- 11:11Speaker 1: would treat each person differently, who your symptoms may be
- 11:16Speaker 1: different from another person symptoms and you never know it
- 11:19Speaker 1: has lingering effects to So let me ask you guys
- 11:21Speaker 1: a question. Are you gonna take the vaccine? Did we
- 11:29Speaker 1: freeze or or what? Think? Well, my friend is a
- 11:37Speaker 1: real doctor. Um, I'm not gonna take it at first,
- 11:41Speaker 1: but I will take it. I'm not first of all,
- 11:45Speaker 1: you're not gonna take it for a long while. So
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna take it. Everybody else take it, and then
- 11:50Speaker 1: they fix all the kinks. Guys. Listen, guys, we have
- 11:54Speaker 1: vaccines in US now, chicken pocks, all those other vaccines,
- 11:59Speaker 1: my kids, vaccines, the means us, all that stuff. So
- 12:03Speaker 1: I mean you all right, I don't know if this
- 12:05Speaker 1: first vaccine, but I will say my friend, being a doctor,
- 12:09Speaker 1: they're all they all have to take it. All those
- 12:11Speaker 1: people in the hospital who work in the hospitals have
- 12:13Speaker 1: to take it. I'm pretty sure the NFL, NBA, all
- 12:16Speaker 1: sports people, college athletes gonna have to take it because
- 12:21Speaker 1: it's gonna have some normalcy is gonna have to start
- 12:23Speaker 1: coming back. So I guarantee y'all, these athletes that get
- 12:27Speaker 1: paid all this money, these people are gonna be that
- 12:29Speaker 1: are getting paid to be around a lot of people.
- 12:31Speaker 1: People like us that are in the media, that are
- 12:33Speaker 1: always around people. They're gonna encourage us to take it.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Our bosses are going to encourage us to take it,
- 12:40Speaker 1: because I'm telling y'all it's not good for business. Everybody's
- 12:44Speaker 1: staying inside the house and telling you it's cool for
- 12:46Speaker 1: us because we are jobs is cool, but you know,
- 12:50Speaker 1: our jobs involved being around large groups of people. I'm
- 12:55Speaker 1: just letting y'all know. So if it's required, if it's
- 12:58Speaker 1: required to work, are you gonna take yes or no?
- 13:01Speaker 1: I want to be alive and a normal person to
- 13:04Speaker 1: continue to do my job that I love and enjoy
- 13:07Speaker 1: doing so much. I don't trust the vaccine. I think
- 13:12Speaker 1: y'all been working on stuff since before I was born
- 13:16Speaker 1: and haven't come nowhere near a vaccine. But you can
- 13:19Speaker 1: go ahead and speed up the damn process for this.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm they've had the vaccine since earlier this year. They've
- 13:27Speaker 1: been in the vaccine. It's even worse for me that
- 13:30Speaker 1: you had a vaccine that damn quick m I mean,
- 13:35Speaker 1: it's you know, it's people who are really good at
- 13:37Speaker 1: this stuff that you know what I'm saying, that's their job.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It's like we're geniuses, and all right, it's genius is
- 13:43Speaker 1: that can come up with stuff like that. I just
- 13:45Speaker 1: think I don't have faith in the government that's to
- 13:49Speaker 1: in the battery and they back tell them to go
- 13:50Speaker 1: ahead and pump some ship out. Okay, Now that part
- 13:53Speaker 1: I agree with. I agree with that part. That part
- 13:56Speaker 1: I definitely agree with. Okay, so nobody's going to take
- 13:59Speaker 1: the vaccin except for me. Got you think you how
- 14:03Speaker 1: you how it affects you, and then you know you
- 14:05Speaker 1: just let me okay, okay, okay, surprisingly get shorter, you know,
- 14:15Speaker 1: just let me know how I feel had turned out. Hey,
- 14:17Speaker 1: what if I grow and become like six ft three
- 14:20Speaker 1: or something like that? That would be fire. Yeah, I
- 14:22Speaker 1: want me that taller. I'm like, I'm cool. Play, I'm cool.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Like what if my side effects as I grow, I
- 14:27Speaker 1: got get taller. I'd be lucky the exact opposite for me.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm good. I don't know if we should be talking
- 14:35Speaker 1: about this, but why not? Cardi b Faces tried after
- 14:38Speaker 1: incorporating a tattoo artists designing her two thousand and sixteen
- 14:41Speaker 1: mixtape cover. I really would like to read this, but
- 14:45Speaker 1: I'm just leting. I know that is stupid. Now, I know,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I know the mixtape, the person who the tattoo artists,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I believe. Yeah, they're design Okay, cool, I get you,
- 14:58Speaker 1: But Bro, it was a mix tape cover. It was
- 15:00Speaker 1: not an album. The album that generated sales the mixtape cover. Man,
- 15:04Speaker 1: you and Cardi be settled that outside of court, Bro,
- 15:07Speaker 1: I mean you might you might not even make it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm really letting you know. That's just my opinion, Well,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I mean, he might make it, because the whole thing was.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Cardie's argument was that you know it was a fair
- 15:18Speaker 1: use of of his likeness. You know that it was
- 15:21Speaker 1: the image was transformative and it was fair. But the
- 15:24Speaker 1: judge actually rejected that and said, and I'm gonna quote this.
- 15:28Speaker 1: To constitute a transformative fair use, the revised image must
- 15:32Speaker 1: have significant transformative or creative elements to make it something
- 15:37Speaker 1: more than mere likeness or imitation. So basically, the party
- 15:41Speaker 1: was going to use it, they needed to enhance it
- 15:45Speaker 1: or or make some changes to it so that it
- 15:47Speaker 1: didn't look like exactly his work, which I think is
- 15:52Speaker 1: is crazy at that point, But I do agree with
- 15:54Speaker 1: you Rory. It wasn't mix tape, it wasn't album. It
- 15:57Speaker 1: wasn't an album. That's damn sure. Wasn't this album back here?
- 16:02Speaker 1: If it was that album, I get you, bro, go
- 16:04Speaker 1: get your coins, because now that's gonna you know that
- 16:08Speaker 1: that album generates some revenue. Uh So, like Kevin, sir,
- 16:12Speaker 1: how much to her success do you think having your
- 16:16Speaker 1: tattoos slap on a man's back on the cover of
- 16:18Speaker 1: her mixtape? Like, how much do you think that contributed
- 16:21Speaker 1: to her success? I don't think your work really had
- 16:26Speaker 1: a lot to do with her uprising in hip hop.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Thank you. That was a dope album cover though mixed
- 16:31Speaker 1: dope album cover, dope mix tape cover, sell out court.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Just this, this is all cloud. That's what I was
- 16:38Speaker 1: about to say, exactly that. Yeah, he's mad. He said
- 16:42Speaker 1: that she used his likeness in a misleading, offensive, humiliating,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and provocatively sexual way. Sir, I'm sure you know tatted somebody,
- 16:51Speaker 1: damn cat. Okay, I roll emoji, I roll emo G
- 16:57Speaker 1: twice over. You know. You know what. I don't want
- 16:59Speaker 1: to of that more attention. You know what I do
- 17:01Speaker 1: want to give attention to guys. The goat of this
- 17:04Speaker 1: radio podcast, Cyrus XM, satellite radio, any type of broadcasting platform,
- 17:12Speaker 1: Howard stern Uh extension extended contract worth up to a
- 17:18Speaker 1: hundred and twenty million dollars per year. Listen, guys, I'm
- 17:20Speaker 1: gonna get my calculator out. Calculator. I don't even know
- 17:24Speaker 1: if I can put a hundred and twenty million in here?
- 17:26Speaker 1: Can I? Yeah? Her year? Yeah, that's two point three
- 17:31Speaker 1: million dollars a week. Okay, two hundred and two point
- 17:37Speaker 1: three million dollars per week, man, oh man, I don't
- 17:40Speaker 1: even know what I would do with all that, and
- 17:42Speaker 1: I would definitely I'll definitely wipe my ass with some
- 17:44Speaker 1: twenty dollar bills fifty dollar bills at least once or
- 17:47Speaker 1: twice to see how I just I can't even process this.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I mean, he is literally the goat. I mean, of
- 17:53Speaker 1: course we have several goats, but right now, we're nobody
- 17:56Speaker 1: bigger than him. Particular goal. Yeah, hey, we got to
- 18:00Speaker 1: go to nail, right mind, Okay, but this guy, there's
- 18:03Speaker 1: no debating that Howard Stern is the mother can go.
- 18:06Speaker 1: There's nobody bigger than Howard Stern. Like how who is
- 18:09Speaker 1: bigger than him? I think a close person in the
- 18:13Speaker 1: vicinity could be Steve Harvey, but Steve does TV too,
- 18:16Speaker 1: so I mean Howard, Howard Stern stays in his lane
- 18:19Speaker 1: and I like that about him. Calmagne the guy going
- 18:22Speaker 1: this route, I definitely see Solomon the guy going that route. Um,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I would like to see him branch off and do
- 18:27Speaker 1: his own thing, and let's see how that sounds. Then
- 18:30Speaker 1: his contract, he will be on the Breakfast Club, you know,
- 18:33Speaker 1: for another five his minimum, which is amazing. On top
- 18:36Speaker 1: of everything else he's doing so man. If we can
- 18:40Speaker 1: see Charlemagne go to this level. And one time, Frank
- 18:47Speaker 1: Ski he joined Kiss one on four one as the
- 18:50Speaker 1: morning show host here in Atlanta. That's a big deal
- 18:52Speaker 1: to Atlanta, and he's wanted the ghost to me. I
- 18:54Speaker 1: don't think it's anybody that's ever breaks the radio in
- 18:56Speaker 1: Atlanta bigger than Frank Ski. I just remember him growing
- 18:59Speaker 1: up m DJ and the nightclubs and going straight to
- 19:02Speaker 1: work in the morning. He was like lit on both sides.
- 19:05Speaker 1: It's very Kenny Burns. And for me before I before
- 19:08Speaker 1: I started gravitating to Kenny Burns, Frank was doing it
- 19:10Speaker 1: on the morning show and he was number one in
- 19:13Speaker 1: ratings for fifteen years in a row to V one
- 19:14Speaker 1: O three. Now he's at a Kiss one on four
- 19:17Speaker 1: one R and B station. Oh Man, piece to Frank Man.
- 19:21Speaker 1: He's a great guy. I've had a chance to work
- 19:24Speaker 1: with him many years ago and he's just he's just
- 19:28Speaker 1: cool man. I'm glad that he still got a split
- 19:31Speaker 1: in radio and doing what he loves to do. I
- 19:33Speaker 1: definitely see you in that in that realm too. I think, um,
- 19:38Speaker 1: as you start evolving as a as a radio personality,
- 19:41Speaker 1: I definitely see you doing your own thing and sounding off. Yeah, definitely.
- 19:46Speaker 1: You know, I'm blessed to be able to work with
- 19:48Speaker 1: people like you, like oct and get to see like
- 19:51Speaker 1: all the different realms of what really goes into radio,
- 19:54Speaker 1: going from the ball Alor Show podcast to to restial radio,
- 19:57Speaker 1: two totally different things. So the respect that I had
- 20:00Speaker 1: us for people like you guys, Frank Ski, I mean,
- 20:03Speaker 1: it's it's just it's endless, Like what you guys do
- 20:07Speaker 1: is so powerful. So I'm just grateful to be able
- 20:09Speaker 1: to be on this platform and have the type of
- 20:12Speaker 1: conversations that we get to have. Now you get there,
- 20:14Speaker 1: you get to see it, and we all get to
- 20:15Speaker 1: see each other shine. Kenny Burns, Ryan Cameron, all the
- 20:18Speaker 1: greats man these all these all goats in for Sercy
- 20:22Speaker 1: everybody days all it. Heyy um, now listen, you're doing
- 20:28Speaker 1: a great job of the morning show. So so yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and you you syndicated. We are syndicated. Young Jacket in
- 20:36Speaker 1: the streets want to take over. It's been who you
- 20:41Speaker 1: ragging all my asks while I was in turning on
- 20:44Speaker 1: your show the six PM show at streets would would
- 20:47Speaker 1: get me here? I mean, who I couldn't have envisioned
- 20:50Speaker 1: it happened the way that it did. That's how it happens. Already,
- 20:53Speaker 1: Like my contract is open a couple of weeks, So
- 20:55Speaker 1: moving right along, moving the right, trying to be humble,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but you know the next Greg Street period. Yeah, I
- 21:04Speaker 1: forgotten I mentioned my boy Greg Street. I talked the
- 21:06Speaker 1: Greg Street once a week. Actually, that's my guy. Um
- 21:09Speaker 1: M s NBC to name Rashida Jones as president will
- 21:13Speaker 1: be the first black exec to run a major news network.
- 21:17Speaker 1: This guy, this guy's is a win not only for
- 21:20Speaker 1: African Americans, but for women as well. You guys, you know,
- 21:26Speaker 1: ain't nothing more powerful than a lady with some tin
- 21:29Speaker 1: on her skin. You did what I'm saying, nice little. Now,
- 21:35Speaker 1: what I want to know is what does the team
- 21:38Speaker 1: that she's working with look like? That is true, it's
- 21:41Speaker 1: still very vanilla. Is it a situation is probably definitely vanilla.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Is it a situation where she's running it but things
- 21:50Speaker 1: have to get approved through a whole group of folks.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I definitely see it going from Hagga dollars vanilla to
- 21:58Speaker 1: the do to let you ain't starting to change colors
- 22:01Speaker 1: on us a little bit, and then eventually get into
- 22:03Speaker 1: the chocolate you know what I'm saying, but you know, um,
- 22:07Speaker 1: she's in charge, so let's let's see. Let's see what
- 22:10Speaker 1: she do. I love it. I love it, Um. I
- 22:13Speaker 1: think it's a beautiful thing. And hopefully the company isn't
- 22:16Speaker 1: doing this because it looks good in the headlines, but
- 22:18Speaker 1: they are actually building a community of support around this
- 22:21Speaker 1: woman so she can really do her job the way
- 22:23Speaker 1: that we know black women do their job. Sure, all right, listen, guys, listen,
- 22:28Speaker 1: this is the serious conversation that I was excited to
- 22:30Speaker 1: talk about. FDA says fights bio and Tech vaccine meets
- 22:34Speaker 1: prescribed success criteria. This is a step forward in the
- 22:38Speaker 1: vaccine and the vaccine to be approved for distribution. The
- 22:41Speaker 1: vaccine is expected to be distributed as early as this weekend.
- 22:44Speaker 1: The vaccine has greater side effects than the plus se
- 22:48Speaker 1: boa okay, headaches, muscle pain, joint pain, injection site reactions, chills,
- 22:54Speaker 1: and fever. Damn Fiser says the vaccine is effective at
- 23:00Speaker 1: against symptomatic COVID nineteen. According to the Wall Street Journal,
- 23:04Speaker 1: Federal Office officials estimate that the US vaccine delivery will
- 23:09Speaker 1: be enough for around twenty million people. Are you guys
- 23:14Speaker 1: taking it? Or not healthcare workers go first. I no, okay, no, okay,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I'm not. Let me see. Let's see what y'all time.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna see who are there first. I'm not taking
- 23:27Speaker 1: the first batch. Let the first batch goal that it
- 23:29Speaker 1: marinated your system. I'm gonna give it about three to
- 23:31Speaker 1: six months. You don't you have to take two of them.
- 23:33Speaker 1: You have to take one shot, and then you have
- 23:35Speaker 1: to go back in a couple of weeks and get
- 23:36Speaker 1: another shot. And this is my question, though, if you
- 23:39Speaker 1: take the first part and what happens if you don't
- 23:42Speaker 1: get around and taking the second part? Do you have
- 23:44Speaker 1: to start over? Though? Is what I'm trying to say.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I don't know are we are? We are there yet.
- 23:49Speaker 1: The second time is really just to make sure that
- 23:51Speaker 1: the chip is in there, that the chip didn't shift up.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I just want to make sure that it stayed in place.
- 23:57Speaker 1: That's what the second time for. If that's the case
- 23:59Speaker 1: we got I'm saying it's already, guys, we got vaccines
- 24:02Speaker 1: in us already. Y'all can't believe. Don't believe into the
- 24:05Speaker 1: chip stuff. That's not I don't think that's true that
- 24:08Speaker 1: they're gonna implant chips in US, guys, I would just
- 24:11Speaker 1: say that I don't put anything past the US government.
- 24:13Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna saying. Let me ask you a question.
- 24:15Speaker 1: What kind of chips are they putting inside of US
- 24:19Speaker 1: cattle chips, ruth tracking chips. Okay, these chips will sink
- 24:27Speaker 1: with the traffic cameras and all these little things out here,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and it's gonna tell them every single thing that we're doing,
- 24:32Speaker 1: all the moves we're making, what we eat, and what
- 24:35Speaker 1: we do. It's gonna be nuts, you guys. The stuffing
- 24:38Speaker 1: they put in the movies to try to make us
- 24:39Speaker 1: think that this is stuff that only happens in the
- 24:41Speaker 1: movies is basically what's about to start happening in real life.
- 24:45Speaker 1: That's all right, Well, something else that's happened in real
- 24:48Speaker 1: life is our breakdancing is an official is an official
- 24:50Speaker 1: Olympic competitive sport. You can break that. Look at the Olympics,
- 24:55Speaker 1: Look at hip hop. It's official on Monday the Olympics
- 24:59Speaker 1: and ounce that breakdancing or breaking will now be a
- 25:02Speaker 1: competitive sport for the parents Olympics. That is amazing. That
- 25:08Speaker 1: that's amazing, um, look at hip hop, Like O C.
- 25:11Speaker 1: T said, Now, the fact that it's gonna be parish.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You're gonna have a whole bunch of white boys doing this,
- 25:16Speaker 1: or you're gonna let the black folks. They had those
- 25:17Speaker 1: boys in that mouth with the boys that in ours
- 25:20Speaker 1: like those guys, let me do the Asian culture got
- 25:25Speaker 1: got hip hop on lock Baby show. They got and
- 25:30Speaker 1: they're popping. I ain't gonna come. Yeah, they YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA,
- 25:36Speaker 1: YadA said, breakdance, move right. Okay, this is the funniest
- 25:41Speaker 1: one though, y'all. Marshawn Lynch drinks Henny as a pre
- 25:44Speaker 1: NFL game ritual. Does that surprise? He was taking a
- 25:47Speaker 1: shot at Henny before the game in the locker room
- 25:50Speaker 1: before the NFL College to live boy, he's toolate. Let
- 25:54Speaker 1: me ask you all this, Do y'all have any uh
- 25:57Speaker 1: pre show rituals when y'all do your radio shows or anything,
- 26:00Speaker 1: y'all do anything any rituals before y'all go on there
- 26:03Speaker 1: there in my throat even though there's nothing in there
- 26:05Speaker 1: most of the time, Like I'll just do it just
- 26:07Speaker 1: to do it out of habit, and um, I try
- 26:11Speaker 1: to drink some hot water if I'm if it's successible.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But I don't I don't be taking those shots of
- 26:17Speaker 1: the liquor or you know. But you know, NFL is
- 26:23Speaker 1: such a big sport, you playing in front of millions
- 26:26Speaker 1: of people and millions of people watching. I don't know. Uh.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I always if a little alcohol will help um to
- 26:32Speaker 1: ship a little bit, then hey, drink take you with
- 26:35Speaker 1: shout of ivoty phone. Okay, if if that's all helped us,
- 26:38Speaker 1: do it take a shot of Martell. Take a shout
- 26:40Speaker 1: of to Martell for the game instead of Handessey bro
- 26:43Speaker 1: stead of Handessy. You're getting the wrong people. Pub I
- 26:47Speaker 1: think my ritual will mostly be I just drink water.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm heavy on the tea, especially this time of the
- 26:52Speaker 1: year when it's cold. I'm heavy on the hot tea.
- 26:54Speaker 1: So that's what I'm outside of that. What I have
- 26:57Speaker 1: is my tea. Yeah, I'm not big on coffee. I
- 27:00Speaker 1: don't like coffee, but hot tea I love. I'm loving
- 27:03Speaker 1: some throat is the best. Yeah it's a little strong.
- 27:09Speaker 1: But for all you people that do a lot of talking,
- 27:12Speaker 1: throat coade, the tea and the spray will get you right.
- 27:16Speaker 1: You only no nasty Yeah yeah, yeah, I just thought
- 27:23Speaker 1: that was funny. All right, Well, before we get to
- 27:25Speaker 1: our commercial break, y'all, let me just give y'all a
- 27:27Speaker 1: quick update on what is going on in Ethiopia. UM,
- 27:31Speaker 1: the number of refugees from Ethiopia to Sudan is rising
- 27:35Speaker 1: literally on a daily basis. They do need help with
- 27:38Speaker 1: support with supplies, water, food, close, medical supplies. The particular
- 27:44Speaker 1: region of Ethiopia that my mom lives in, which is
- 27:47Speaker 1: basically um, which is the region that is is cut
- 27:52Speaker 1: off from the rest of the country today, UM, there's
- 27:54Speaker 1: still no communication. I still have not heard from my mom,
- 27:57Speaker 1: have absolutely no idea where she is, how she is,
- 28:01Speaker 1: is she has access to a phone, internet power. I
- 28:05Speaker 1: don't know if she is a part of the refugee group.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I don't know if she stayed, you know, home. I
- 28:12Speaker 1: don't know what she did because I have literally no
- 28:14Speaker 1: access to her. UM. What I do know is that
- 28:17Speaker 1: she still doesn't have access to her bank account as well. So, UM,
- 28:21Speaker 1: if if I can just think of what my mom
- 28:23Speaker 1: may be going through, and then we can apply that
- 28:25Speaker 1: to an entire region of people going through this same thing.
- 28:29Speaker 1: This is not a political issue. This is definitely a
- 28:32Speaker 1: humanitarian concern. UM. Ethiopia is on the genocide list uh
- 28:37Speaker 1: and clearly what is happening is an ethnic cleansing the
- 28:42Speaker 1: Prime Minister i Be is trying. It seems as though
- 28:45Speaker 1: the Prime Minister i Be is trying to gain full
- 28:49Speaker 1: control of this particular region by unfortunately attacking and and
- 28:55Speaker 1: bombing his own cities, his own villages, people that look
- 28:59Speaker 1: just like him, people that talk like him. Um. So,
- 29:02Speaker 1: as soon as I have any updates on it getting
- 29:06Speaker 1: better or anything that changes, I'm definitely gonna share that
- 29:09Speaker 1: with you guys. Um we got a big response from
- 29:12Speaker 1: ball Nation when we had me as a here on
- 29:15Speaker 1: the show a couple of weeks ago talking about it. Um. So,
- 29:18Speaker 1: thank you to Baller Alert, thank you to y'all for
- 29:20Speaker 1: giving me the opportunity to update everybody on what's going on,
- 29:24Speaker 1: and thank you all for the well wishes. I do
- 29:26Speaker 1: believe that at some point I will hear my mom's voice,
- 29:29Speaker 1: and when that happens, y'all will be some of the
- 29:32Speaker 1: first people to know. So remember please use hashtag prey
- 29:37Speaker 1: for Tadura, I stop war on Taburai and if you
- 29:40Speaker 1: need more details, feel for the dm ME at Underscore
- 29:42Speaker 1: to Solo s U s O l O and I can.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I'll be more than happy to uh point you in
- 29:48Speaker 1: the direction to some resources if you want to learn
- 29:50Speaker 1: more about the war on tick RAI yes, and we
- 29:53Speaker 1: would keep this conversation going each in every episode more
- 29:57Speaker 1: solo because this is a very important issue. Just like
- 30:00Speaker 1: we have our issues here in America, we want to
- 30:02Speaker 1: make sure we shed like on the world as well.
- 30:05Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Baller Alert Show.
- 30:08Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more of the Baller Alert Show.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Message and now it is time for baller mail. Mm hmmmm.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Dear Ori, my best friend and I have a situation.
- 30:24Speaker 1: She and I have been best friends since we were
- 30:26Speaker 1: in high school. We fell out in college over a
- 30:28Speaker 1: dude he was cheating. I told her she chose him
- 30:31Speaker 1: over me. Fast forward a few years. I date this
- 30:35Speaker 1: guy for about four to five months and find out
- 30:39Speaker 1: he used to date her before me. He's not to do.
- 30:41Speaker 1: We fell out about I didn't think much into it
- 30:44Speaker 1: since we weren't friends at the time. Moving along five
- 30:47Speaker 1: years later, we talked me and my ex friend and
- 30:50Speaker 1: become friends again. But a few days ago, that random
- 30:53Speaker 1: guy that we both dated comes up in conversation and
- 30:56Speaker 1: she gets mad at me for dating him, even though
- 30:58Speaker 1: I didn't know he dated her because we weren't even friends.
- 31:04Speaker 1: So now she's not talking to me again. What do
- 31:07Speaker 1: I do? Man, fuck your friend that is not your friend? Baby? Okay,
- 31:13Speaker 1: following out over something like this is retarded. Okay, I
- 31:17Speaker 1: had Let me go. Let me let me give you,
- 31:18Speaker 1: guys a little story about a little little Rory when
- 31:21Speaker 1: he was in college. Little once upon the time, little
- 31:23Speaker 1: Rory had his friend that was dating this a K H. Chip. Okay,
- 31:28Speaker 1: she was a hot pocket all on chemists. But my
- 31:31Speaker 1: friend had some blinders on his eyes because the cooty
- 31:34Speaker 1: cat the box was exquisite. Okay, it was very exquisite,
- 31:39Speaker 1: and she was throwing it back, jumping off the dresser,
- 31:41Speaker 1: playing helicopter lady at the nighttime ships and all that.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I see her creeping from a football player's dorm room
- 31:48Speaker 1: going back to his room. I tell my friend what happens.
- 31:53Speaker 1: He tells me I talked to her and she said
- 31:56Speaker 1: she ain't see you, she wasn't out last night. And
- 31:59Speaker 1: I'm over here like, wow, what type of bullshit is that?
- 32:03Speaker 1: That is the type of friends that you dismissed as
- 32:05Speaker 1: a friend. Because they got blinders on their eyes. This
- 32:07Speaker 1: is what you need to do, baby, girl. You need
- 32:09Speaker 1: to dismiss this lady. She didn't fell out with you
- 32:12Speaker 1: and you told her her boyfriend was cheating on her.
- 32:15Speaker 1: She chose him over you. That is not no real friendship.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And then y'all date a random guy and she's not friends.
- 32:23Speaker 1: And that girl she got, she got mores and principles
- 32:25Speaker 1: all incorrect, sucked up. She need to get herself checked. Okay,
- 32:29Speaker 1: mental uh mental illnesses is real, liar. She need to
- 32:34Speaker 1: go to speak to a therapist. She needs a lifetime coach,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and she needs goddamn Jesus in her life. That's all
- 32:39Speaker 1: I got to tell you, baby. I got to say, yo,
- 32:43Speaker 1: be goes and he has no patience for the bullshit.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Y'all sounded like y'all about a whole twelve years old.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Like I agree with you, robbery, Okay, I'm with you.
- 32:54Speaker 1: It sounds like some bullshit ulr Frierrari. I love it.
- 33:00Speaker 1: It's real quick. I think they need uh. Are we
- 33:04Speaker 1: gonna straight to that? Yeah? I actually don't have a
- 33:09Speaker 1: future free bands quote today, but I do have the
- 33:13Speaker 1: word of the day. It is from the ball of man,
- 33:16Speaker 1: the word of the day is fake. Stop hanging around
- 33:20Speaker 1: fake friends, fake people, people who do things for cloud
- 33:24Speaker 1: that's fake. A matter of fact. I don't like fake jury,
- 33:27Speaker 1: I don't like fake clothes, and you know I don't
- 33:29Speaker 1: like fake sneakers. So stay away from the word fake
- 33:33Speaker 1: anything that is attached to the word fake. Uh, separate
- 33:37Speaker 1: yourself from that word. Fake is an issue, and the
- 33:41Speaker 1: fake and your name is next to each other. I
- 33:43Speaker 1: want to stay away from your fake ass. To get
- 33:45Speaker 1: the funk away from me with your fake bit ch ass.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Word of the day fake with motherfucking ask. I'm thirsty
- 33:53Speaker 1: down alright, guys, we'll see you next. Have a great one,
- 33:59Speaker 1: all right. I can't get enough of baller Alerts. Follow
