- 0:27Speaker 2: scheduling got fiast they've created, And we'll.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Tell you why. The Celtics just made an absolutely bonehead
- 0:33Speaker 1: move just throw their season down the toilet. Yep and
- 0:37Speaker 1: h Well, now that Pete Rose is once again eligible
- 0:40Speaker 1: for the Hall of Fame, we're gonna tell you why
- 0:42Speaker 1: this has massive implications, bigger than your brain can possibly comprehend.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You know.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah, your pea brains aren't even gonna be able to
- 0:50Speaker 3: understand what we're gonna tell you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. And they're talking about not understanding, Tony. You know,
- 0:56Speaker 1: we got people that come up to us on the
- 0:58Speaker 1: street saying your show is so informative and entertaining. Yeah,
- 1:03Speaker 1: that's what I say to them. This is not for
- 1:05Speaker 1: your entertainment. Okay, if you and if you want to
- 1:08Speaker 1: be informed, here you go. If you're a listener watcher,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you need to put in the work to Yeah, you
- 1:13Speaker 1: don't just sit there exactly. So what you're gonna do
- 1:16Speaker 1: is you're gonna hit the like button, you're gonna hit
- 1:18Speaker 1: the subscribe, and you're gonna go to the Apple podcast
- 1:21Speaker 1: and you're gonna leave a five star review right down exactly.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And the next time you come up to us, I
- 1:27Speaker 3: want to hear about how tired and miserable you are
- 1:30Speaker 3: from all the clicking and subscribing and going to all
- 1:33Speaker 3: our social media videos and liking and tagging every person.
- 1:38Speaker 3: You know, If your thumbs aren't red and bleeding, don't
- 1:41Speaker 3: even look at us, don't even look.
- 1:43Speaker 1: In my direction. Okay, the rest of you is gonna
- 1:46Speaker 1: be bleeding, all right. Anyway, enough about that, let's get
- 1:49Speaker 1: right into a top story. S all right, First, out
- 1:54Speaker 1: the gate, just another clearly terrible decision by the NFL,
- 1:59Speaker 1: the league announcing that the first game of the twenty
- 2:02Speaker 1: twenty five season will feature the Eagles hosting the Cowboys
- 2:07Speaker 1: on Thursday night. And this is just laughable, isn't it, Dony?
- 2:11Speaker 3: You know, putting the Eagles in the season opener just
- 2:14Speaker 3: once again exposes the league's anti Eagles bias. We're coming
- 2:19Speaker 3: off short rest. We were the last team to play
- 2:22Speaker 3: last season, and now we're the first team to play
- 2:25Speaker 3: this season.
- 2:26Speaker 4: That's not fair.
- 2:27Speaker 3: No, Cowboys haven't played since January, well, technically November. If
- 2:32Speaker 3: you watched all their crappy games when they basically just
- 2:35Speaker 3: stood around and let other teams score, you know, we
- 2:38Speaker 3: played three or four extra months.
- 2:40Speaker 4: We should have all of September ra off.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And the game is right after Labor Day, so instead
- 2:47Speaker 3: of getting a three day weekend, we have to work.
- 2:50Speaker 4: It's downright unfair, unfair.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And Unamerican, don'tye more. But you know, we do have
- 2:58Speaker 1: to take a moment here to congratulate the Cowboys, don't we.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You know, usually the arrival, but we have to give
- 3:04Speaker 1: them a pat on the back when we can, isn't
- 3:06Speaker 1: that right, Dony?
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you know this is great news for the Cowboys.
- 3:11Speaker 3: They will finally get to celebrate a Super Bowl win
- 3:14Speaker 3: and see a banner raised.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Sure it won't be in their stadium and the banner
- 3:19Speaker 3: will say Eagles on it, but hey, this is the
- 3:22Speaker 3: closest they've been in thirty years to a Super Bowl celebration.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So this is a monumental step forward for the Cowboys organization.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Absolutely our heartfelt congratulations.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Congrats.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Oh, by the way, you see this Dony Mike Dorico,
- 3:39Speaker 1: that Boso. Yeah, they came out and said he has
- 3:41Speaker 1: a problem with people in sports talk showing their fandom
- 3:45Speaker 1: for teams, and you know he was clearly talking about us.
- 3:49Speaker 1: We hear it all the time from these morons out
- 3:50Speaker 1: there who think we you know, because we live in
- 3:52Speaker 1: Philly and we wear Eagles jerseys every day and you
- 3:56Speaker 1: know we only talk positively about the team.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that was somehow biased. Hello, of course we think
- 4:02Speaker 3: they're good. They won the Super Bowl. But you want
- 4:06Speaker 3: us to say that we think the Jaguars are good?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Think people? That makes no sense, Yeah, makes zero sense.
- 4:12Speaker 5: No.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Anyway, staying in football, you know, there are these reports
- 4:16Speaker 1: that the University of North Carolina banned Bill Belichick's kind
- 4:20Speaker 1: of hot but also kind of scary in that, you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: meta in a bar at two am, took rome and
- 4:24Speaker 1: now you're kind of a credit kind of way girlfriend
- 4:27Speaker 1: Jordan Hudson. Anyway, the university came out and they said
- 4:31Speaker 1: they did not ban Jordan Hudson and that she's welcome
- 4:34Speaker 1: at all. Football related activities, and well, this is clearly
- 4:37Speaker 1: the right move, isn't it, Dony?
- 4:39Speaker 3: Absolutely, you know we've seen this approach work before. Of course,
- 4:44Speaker 3: I'm talking about the great documentary series from the nineties
- 4:48Speaker 3: Locker Room Cheerleaders Volumes one through two hundred and twenty six.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yep.
- 4:52Speaker 4: In every movie, a girl.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Would go into a college football locker room and give
- 4:57Speaker 3: the entire team such an important boost. I even felt
- 5:02Speaker 3: inspired and really lifted watching it. We need to celebrate women,
- 5:07Speaker 3: and the film series just showed the power of what
- 5:10Speaker 3: women can do when placed in the right positions. I mean,
- 5:14Speaker 3: you know, by positions, I mean football operation positions.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Clearly, clearly, just so beautifully said that, Dony. And you know,
- 5:22Speaker 1: I remember seeing similar movies with the same plot lines
- 5:25Speaker 1: all over DV growing up, you know, on Showtimes, Cinemax,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and they were all labeled NC seven Dean. And that's
- 5:31Speaker 1: why we're bringing it up here.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Don't Yeah, Because, as you know, and C stands for
- 5:35Speaker 3: North Carolina, because that's where the movies were made.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Exactly. Well, right, let's just move on to the NBA.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Of course, the outrage after the Dallas Mavericks won the
- 5:46Speaker 1: first overall pick in the draft lottery despite having an
- 5:48Speaker 1: eighteen percent chance of winning. Now, this is a lot
- 5:51Speaker 1: of babel saying it's all rigged fixed, and these people
- 5:55Speaker 1: are just insane crackpots, aren't they. Dony?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Do you really think something is rigged just because the
- 6:00Speaker 3: whole process takes place behind closed doors with no cameras
- 6:04Speaker 3: and nobody but the NBA commissioner and two other unidentified people,
- 6:09Speaker 3: and nobody has a good explanation for how the entire
- 6:12Speaker 3: process actually works.
- 6:14Speaker 4: That doesn't mean it's rigged.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I mean, did you see how the pope got selected? No,
- 6:20Speaker 3: So what are you gonna say now that the pope
- 6:23Speaker 3: is rigged?
- 6:24Speaker 4: Try saying that to God? Good luck with that?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, good luck with that. It's just such a sad situation,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the amount of doubt people have, you know, Tony, Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 3: It really is. What happened to just taking things at
- 6:37Speaker 3: face value. It's so sad, you know. Like the other
- 6:41Speaker 3: day I got a text message saying that I owed
- 6:44Speaker 3: thirty two thousand dollars and unpaid tolls and they were
- 6:47Speaker 3: gonna impound my car and throw me in prison.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I didn't think twice.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I wrote back to this unknown WhatsApp number and said,
- 6:55Speaker 3: of course, I'll pay, thank you, and I immediately wired
- 6:59Speaker 3: them the money. You know, imagine if I didn't pay,
- 7:01Speaker 3: I'd be in prison right now.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And I don't even own a car.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Truly dodged a bullet that, Dony. Good thinking by you.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And wait, something's coming across there. All right, we have
- 7:12Speaker 1: some breaking news. Hit that sounder. All right, this is
- 7:17Speaker 1: a headline straight from ESPN dot com. I'm reading this
- 7:20Speaker 1: straight from the site. ESPN's Tim McMahon says that, according
- 7:25Speaker 1: to his sources, the Mavericks plan to draft Cooper Flag
- 7:29Speaker 1: and will not trade the number one pick.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I did not see this comming, Dony. I'm totally blown away, so.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Am I And wait, hold on, I have some breaking
- 7:39Speaker 3: news about this too. According to my sources, the Dallas
- 7:46Speaker 3: Mavericks are saying internally that once they draft Cooper Flag,
- 7:50Speaker 3: they will sign him to a contract and then they
- 7:53Speaker 3: will expect him to be one of the twelve players
- 7:56Speaker 3: on their roster when next season begins.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Just great, saucing Tony, amazing.
- 8:02Speaker 3: John, I got another one hit the sounder again. As
- 8:07Speaker 3: we all know, there's been a lot of speculation about
- 8:10Speaker 3: where Cooper Flag is gonna live while playing for the Mavericks,
- 8:14Speaker 3: and my sources is saying that he will indeed be
- 8:18Speaker 3: moving to Dallas.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:20Speaker 3: People were wondering will he stay in the dorms at
- 8:23Speaker 3: Duke University? Will he stay near his hometown of Newport, Maine.
- 8:28Speaker 3: My sources tell me he wants to be within driving
- 8:32Speaker 3: distance of the stadium instead of having to fly to
- 8:35Speaker 3: home games from another city.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Wow. Just amazing inside info that Tony. And well, now
- 8:42Speaker 1: to this Nick Celtics series just a total mess for Boston. Yeah, no,
- 8:46Speaker 1: star Jason Tatum injured his achilles in Game four and
- 8:50Speaker 1: then immediately went and had surgery the next day. How
- 8:54Speaker 1: many people are saying, well, that's because his season was
- 8:57Speaker 1: over anyway, But that's not what was going on. That
- 8:59Speaker 1: was clearly the wrong move the Tony, wasn't it.
- 9:02Speaker 3: The Celtics should have followed the Lakers strategy from a
- 9:05Speaker 3: few years ago. Boston should have released a deadly virus
- 9:09Speaker 3: across the globe, just like the Lakers did, which would
- 9:12Speaker 3: effectively shut down the league and force the NBA to
- 9:15Speaker 3: move the playoffs to October or even later, when a
- 9:19Speaker 3: healthy and rejuvenated Jason Tatum would be rehabbed and ready
- 9:23Speaker 3: to face the Knicks and Game five and a large
- 9:27Speaker 3: conference room at Disney World. Just a very short sighted
- 9:30Speaker 3: move by the Celtics not to do that.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Just terrific basketball and also contagion analysis that Tony and
- 9:38Speaker 1: well to another basketball No, we must address the buckstar Giannis.
- 9:43Speaker 1: What hell? Anyway, he's reportedly open minded about a trade,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and Donny, when you break it down, there's really only
- 9:52Speaker 1: one clear destination for him, isn't there?
- 9:55Speaker 4: Yup? The Minnesota timber Wolves.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yep.
- 9:58Speaker 4: As we've mentioned on this show.
- 10:00Speaker 3: You know, once or twice Anthony Edwards has openly bragged
- 10:04Speaker 3: about his allegedly huge penis. Well, you have to assume
- 10:08Speaker 3: that Giannis also has a huge penis. Can you imagine
- 10:12Speaker 3: if there was an NBA team just stacked with players
- 10:16Speaker 3: with huge penises, nobody would want to guard them closely
- 10:20Speaker 3: for fear of being grazed by one of those huge penises.
- 10:24Speaker 4: And think about it.
- 10:25Speaker 3: That called the timber Wolves giant wood timber It makes perfect.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Sense, makes perfect sense. I couldn't agree more that don't
- 10:35Speaker 1: He's just a perfect fit. You doing what.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Well I said it last week. You know, you guys
- 10:48Speaker 5: have like this almost weird obsession with talking about NBA
- 10:51Speaker 5: players and their genitalia. Trust me, it's it's just becoming
- 10:56Speaker 5: too much.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Well too much is all. So what no woman's ever
- 11:01Speaker 3: said about your penis? Hell?
- 11:05Speaker 4: Now? Yeah?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, shut up?
- 11:06Speaker 4: Shut up.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah. And by the way, you know, people they keep
- 11:09Speaker 1: asking why haven't we canned you? You know, if you
- 11:11Speaker 1: people out there have ideas on how you can produce
- 11:14Speaker 1: the show better, you know, go ahead, put a comment
- 11:16Speaker 1: in the YouTube. Tell us what you who knows we
- 11:20Speaker 1: might hire you to replace that useless idiot over there.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you never know, so leave a comment.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Leave a comment. Yeah, I mean, we're not going to
- 11:28Speaker 1: read them. We're gonna tell him to read.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Yeah, he's gonna read.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Hopefully you'll learn something, probably not, but anyway, all right,
- 11:36Speaker 1: we're going to get into the big baseball Pete Rose
- 11:39Speaker 1: News very still. But first it's time for a word
- 11:42Speaker 1: from our newest advertisers, our good friends at Fresh Clean Threads.
- 11:48Speaker 1: You know, the best thing to wear is obviously an
- 11:50Speaker 1: Eagles jersey, But what do you do on that one
- 11:53Speaker 1: day every two weeks when your Eagles jersey is in
- 11:56Speaker 1: the wash? Well, we've got the perfect answer for you,
- 12:00Speaker 1: Clean Threads and Toty. You've got one of their shirts
- 12:03Speaker 1: on right now, don't you.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's beneath my Eagles jersey. But let me show you.
- 12:09Speaker 3: This shirt is so fresh and so clean and so
- 12:14Speaker 3: soft that I'm even actually considering wearing it on days
- 12:18Speaker 3: when my Eagles jersey isn't in the wash.
- 12:21Speaker 1: You know, I'm wearing mine too now, Tony, and I
- 12:24Speaker 1: love it. It's comfortable. But you know, I gotta say,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I do think it would be just slightly better if
- 12:30Speaker 1: you know it had a big number five, you know
- 12:32Speaker 1: right here?
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you know.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Maybe an Eagle glogo here, maybe one here. You know,
- 12:37Speaker 1: we'll have to thought we should people. I we'll talk
- 12:39Speaker 1: to the Fresh Clean Threads people about that. But for you,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you go now to Fresh Cleanthreads dot com and you
- 12:46Speaker 1: enter the promo code Bosco fifteen to get fifteen percent
- 12:51Speaker 1: off everything. That's a special deal for you. I'm gonna
- 12:54Speaker 1: repeat it just in case you aren't paying attention. You
- 12:58Speaker 1: go to Fresh Cleanthreads dot com. Yeah, and the promo
- 13:01Speaker 1: code Fusco fifteen for fifteen percent off your entire order.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And if you don't receive a discount, well that must
- 13:09Speaker 1: mean you're illiterate and you don't know how to type away.
- 13:12Speaker 1: So go now, yeah, okay, we're back from break, and
- 13:19Speaker 1: you know, we got to talk about this, toty. It's
- 13:21Speaker 1: a development in baseball. A lot of people saying this
- 13:24Speaker 1: was surprising, they didn't see it coming. Of course, we
- 13:26Speaker 1: totally saw it coming. Of course, beat Rose getting reinstated
- 13:30Speaker 1: by the commissioner. Now there's a lot to break down here,
- 13:34Speaker 1: So we're going to do it all right now in
- 13:36Speaker 1: a new segment we call Fusco Deep Dive. Fusco Deep Dive.
- 13:43Speaker 1: All right, the big story once again. Major League Baseball
- 13:47Speaker 1: announced that Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson are now
- 13:51Speaker 1: being reinstated and therefore can now be eligible for Hall
- 13:55Speaker 1: of Fame voting, even though they were previously banned due
- 13:59Speaker 1: to gambling on the game of baseball. Now, MLB Commissioner
- 14:02Speaker 1: Rob Manfred, he explained the reasoning here, all right. He
- 14:05Speaker 1: said that Pete Rose is dead and therefore quote is
- 14:09Speaker 1: no longer a threat to the integrity of the game.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And well, you know, as much as we are fans
- 14:16Speaker 1: of Pete Rose, it's not entirely true what Manfred is saying. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: you know, it's not true to say that Pete Rose
- 14:24Speaker 1: is no longer a threat to the game. That's right,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you know, not if.
- 14:27Speaker 3: You believe in ghosts, which we both obviously do. You know,
- 14:31Speaker 3: there's still a very good chance Pete Rose can affect
- 14:35Speaker 3: the game from the afterlife. I mean, just last week,
- 14:38Speaker 3: I was watching a Reds game and the center fielder
- 14:41Speaker 3: was going back for a catch and the ball looked
- 14:44Speaker 3: like a surefire home run.
- 14:46Speaker 4: But then the ball dropped right into his glove and
- 14:49Speaker 4: there was no wind.
- 14:51Speaker 3: So you know, the only other explanation is ghost. You know,
- 14:56Speaker 3: like Pete Rose's ghost blue on the ball while it
- 15:00Speaker 3: was flying mid air.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I saw that. I'm just thinking the exact same thing, ghost.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Are you kidding me?
- 15:08Speaker 5: This show continues to hit new lows.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna hit you.
- 15:13Speaker 4: You talking.
- 15:15Speaker 5: You seriously believe that outcomes of Major League Baseball games
- 15:19Speaker 5: are being affected by ghosts or the ghosts are even real?
- 15:24Speaker 4: Uh, I'd be very careful about what you say, bro.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd watch out, bro. I you know, I see
- 15:31Speaker 1: somebody shadow in that blurry background you got there behind you.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'd be careful.
- 15:37Speaker 5: That's a coat on a rack.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Hey, ghost, if you're there and can hear me, now,
- 15:44Speaker 3: please kill our producer take him to the afterlife with you.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I gotta say, Bro, that does look like some sort
- 15:52Speaker 1: of underworld demon. So yeah, it looks very murders you.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You know that's on you. That's on anyway, all right,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I just enough about that. Back to the story. You
- 16:01Speaker 1: know this comment by Rob Manfred about beat Rose, it's
- 16:05Speaker 1: really a game changer when you think about it. I mean,
- 16:08Speaker 1: what Manfred is saying is that when someone is dead, well,
- 16:12Speaker 1: they're no longer a threat, so you have to reevaluate
- 16:16Speaker 1: everything about them. Isn't that right, Tony?
- 16:18Speaker 4: You know it makes you think about OJ.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I mean, based on that logic, it sounds like we
- 16:24Speaker 3: should now rule OJ as not guilty because he's no
- 16:29Speaker 3: longer a threat.
- 16:31Speaker 1: A threat you have to he's got to be.
- 16:33Speaker 5: It's even more ridiculous.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Oh, you're getting me.
- 16:37Speaker 3: You know that shadow back there looks a lot like
- 16:41Speaker 3: oh j Yeah, it does.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You know, OJ, if that is you, we could really
- 16:46Speaker 1: use your help right now. Yeah, do what you'll do best,
- 16:49Speaker 1: get back in the game.
- 16:50Speaker 4: He's OJ.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Murder him, you can't prosecute in the afterlife, according to
- 16:55Speaker 3: Rob Manfred, so murder is legal for you.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Well, you know, Tony I'm looking at the monitor. I
- 17:00Speaker 1: do think OJ might be moving back there. Come closer
- 17:03Speaker 1: to a moja? Come on, yeah, come closer.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Where are these sound effects coming from? I'm not playing.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It must be a ghost, bro. The afterlife must have
- 17:16Speaker 1: audio powers greater than yours. Well, everyone has audio powers
- 17:19Speaker 1: greater than yours, including in the afterlife.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Can we just wrap this episode so I can leave already?
- 17:27Speaker 1: So now you think you run the show? Oh, I
- 17:29Speaker 1: see how it works.
- 17:30Speaker 3: You know if you want to leave, go ahead, You'll
- 17:33Speaker 3: just walk toward that shadow behind you and you could
- 17:36Speaker 3: leave for eternity.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Yep, bye bye. Now you're in the afterlife? Ghost?
- 17:44Speaker 4: What is the corrections?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Can you just go? Already? Turning into the producer show what?
- 17:50Speaker 1: The ghosts are really pissed at you, bro, so just
- 17:53Speaker 1: go go.
- 17:55Speaker 5: You said the Mavericks had an eighteen percent chance of
- 17:58Speaker 5: winning the lottery, Yeah, bro, very slim chance there, Bro,
- 18:04Speaker 5: you're missing a decimal. It was a one point eight
