- 0:53Okay, so this video right here has actually been very like on my mind,
- 0:58very heavily on my heart, because it's been something that I, it's a constant battle.
- 1:02I'm not going to say I got everything perfect in my life at all whatsoever.
- 1:06So I got to put that out there. I'm upfront and honest about that.
- 1:10But these, these, this has been really helpful for me.
- 1:14And I, I'm going to start it off with, if you're actually watching this right
- 1:16now, if you're seeing the video, I, I'm holding up some, pills,
- 1:21some pills, you know, and it's going to go with my first point, which is chemical.
- 1:26The first point of having constant joy, which is chemical in my life.
- 1:30And I'm me and my wife, we're actually trying to put this together.
- 1:33I've had a lot of, I've had a lot of issues in my life.
- 1:36You know, I've had a lot of things that I've battled through and I still battle
- 1:39through, but not to the extent and to the degree that I used to.
- 1:44And a big, huge part of it was for me was getting the chemicals in my brain
- 1:49kind of going in the right direction. I think there was a lot of things that
- 1:52were crossed, a lot of things that were messed up.
- 1:55I got on actual medication. This right here is not actual medication.
- 1:59This is just natural supplements that my wife, the scientist.
- 2:04I don't think she was just doing it.
- 2:06Maybe not just to help me, but just to help herself because it was tough in
- 2:10the living environment she was going through because she was in the house every
- 2:14day with me and seeing the battle, the struggle, and it definitely just bled
- 2:18over into our whole family life.
- 2:20So it was a constant trial and error and taking, removing of different natural supplements.
- 2:27I think she'd do a lot better job of explaining how she stumbled upon this and how she found this,
- 2:31but in the future, we're going to try to put together
- 2:34a breakdown of what's helped me specifically
- 2:38and what could be helpful for you and we'll put that
- 2:41out in future videos and i'll try to put like a link to it
- 2:43and everything but we're trying to get it all formulated you know so
- 2:47it look it's easily easily received by anybody that comes across this comes
- 2:51across it so so i'm gonna i'm actually gonna take this right in front of you
- 2:55this is my my daily my daily pills my daily pills here and actually oh it's
- 3:02gotten a lot smaller from what it used to be if you're looking at this Right now I'm looking at,
- 3:05there's five in there and I just choke it.
- 3:09And I do that every morning. And it's definitely, I don't, I couldn't tell you
- 3:13one word, one name of the things that I take.
- 3:15She's the brains behind the operation. I just, I just do what I'm told, I guess. I don't know.
- 3:20I've never questioned it, but it's definitely, I could tell you firsthand experience.
- 3:25It has definitely changed my life.
- 3:28Something has majorly changed.
- 3:31And whatever's happening up in this, in this noggin or whatever,
- 3:34I don't know what's going on, but it's definitely allowed me to see things, to not be so messed up.
- 3:41I don't even know a good, pleasant way of saying it, but a way of not being
- 3:46so messed up. It's helped me a lot.
- 3:48And we'll, we'll put that out there. I'll go further into that in future videos,
- 3:51but I think it's, it starts there in a sense.
- 3:54And, and out of these five C's, these aren't the prior, or like the priority
- 3:58or primacy of my order of which one is more valuable upon the other.
- 4:03If you have an idea of which is the most valuable out of these five C's that
- 4:07I give you, put it in the comments.
- 4:09Or if you have any other suggestions, something that's helped you or that could
- 4:13help someone else, put it in the comments.
- 4:14I would love to see that. And that would be very helpful for me.
- 4:18So getting your mind straight by going, if you need that, not everybody is there.
- 4:25Some people don't have a brain that is, that is like that, you know, that needs that.
- 4:30So if you don't praise God, but if you do, you do, you know,
- 4:34and I did go through a lot of medication in my past and it just messed me up.
- 4:38And I did a lot of like, just substance, like I just, alcohol was always a way
- 4:43that helped, helped, helped me in a sense.
- 4:45It helped me. I would say alcohol definitely helped me.
- 4:47And it, you, I used it as like a numbing effect in a lot of ways to,
- 4:53to kind of just that escapism.
- 4:54You know, you hear about, you know, you're just going through life.
- 4:56You're raw dogging it. You know, you don't need to be raw dogging it.
- 4:58And I agree, you don't need to be raw dogging it.
- 5:01And everybody, that's your freedom of choice, what you want to do.
- 5:05Coming, getting away from alcohol has helped me in a lot of ways,
- 5:08but I, it did numb me in a lot of ways, the same way that actual prescribed medication did.
- 5:16And it, it gave a short term, short-term fulfillment effect,
- 5:21but a long-term not-so-good effect for me.
- 5:25That's why going to the natural supplements overall has definitely helped me.
- 5:29All right, let's quickly move on. Number two, circumstances.
- 5:33Embrace the journey. Embrace the journey. I'm always thinking about when you're
- 5:37going in life, there's always something you're aiming towards,
- 5:41you're going for, whatever it is.
- 5:43It might be a person in your life, like a figure in your life that you think,
- 5:46Like, man, they got it all together.
- 5:48Everything that they touch is gold. Their life must be so amazingly awesome.
- 5:54I immediately go to Elon Musk. That's who I go to.
- 5:58I mean, he, like, that is a guy, like, if I wanted to be, have a huge,
- 6:03amazing, contributing business that's going to help the world,
- 6:07I don't think I'm ever going to attain to the level of Elon Musk.
- 6:10I don't think I'm going to ever reach that mountaintop.
- 6:15And so I could easily, whatever I got to, whatever point in my life I got to,
- 6:20there could always be something better and there could always be something else
- 6:23I could shoot towards, you know?
- 6:26And so enjoying the journey along the way, every moment...
- 6:30Along the way would is so huge for me because when you reach that pot of gold
- 6:36at the end of the rainbow, you're just going to want to reach another pot of gold.
- 6:39And instead of just every moment, like actually maybe just taking a,
- 6:42taking a step back, reflecting and just taking a breath, you know, I don't know.
- 6:49I don't know if you've seen any videos like by Sam Harris, he's,
- 6:52he's an atheist, you know, he doesn't believe in God.
- 6:54So I disagree with him on that, but he does a lot of stuff of kind of meditation
- 7:00and really focusing in on your, your breathing and being aware of every,
- 7:08like you have all these senses that we just kind of, we just compartmentalize
- 7:13it that like, if we really just sat back and we just kind of absorbed all the
- 7:18feelings that we are experiencing daily,
- 7:22like from the thing, our fingertips to the air going in our lungs.
- 7:26If we just took a step back and actually experienced in the fullest sense,
- 7:31the moment of the now we have now in what we're going through. We don't have tomorrow.
- 7:38We don't even really have yesterday. We can remember it vaguely,
- 7:42but we have every moment we have now and just and enjoying the now really stepping back.
- 7:50Don't being worried about the future because that's going to produce anxiety.
- 7:55Don't be regretting and just tearing yourself up over the past because that's
- 8:01just going to bring guilt or regret.
- 8:04But really focusing in on every moment, no matter how chaotic,
- 8:08no matter how much stuff has hit the fan in your life and in your mind.
- 8:15But really understanding that, hey, it doesn't matter.
- 8:19It really, none of this exterior world that is happening around me,
- 8:24it doesn't really, I mean, it matters in a real sense, but.
- 8:29For you personally and how to cope and how to have joy, it doesn't matter.
- 8:35You can be in the crazy, you could be in a war, a battle environment,
- 8:40out on the front lines and have the most serene peace imaginable.
- 8:45And it's all about your attitude. It's all about your mental mindset and just
- 8:51realizing I can be at peace in this moment and every moment and just relish
- 8:55in every moment. Number three, comparison.
- 8:57This, this kind of ties into when I was bringing up Elon Musk and just anyone
- 9:01else out there, whoever, whoever your person out that you are.
- 9:05Inspires you, who, who like draw, like makes you want to be better.
- 9:11Once you be want to get the most out of you, whoever that is.
- 9:14I mean, it's good to actually have that, to have someone that really drives
- 9:18you like the, like a benchmark that you want to kind of shoot towards,
- 9:22go towards, maybe eclipse if you can.
- 9:25But, but at the end of the day, comparison can always be that ugly.
- 9:31I don't even know. I don't want to, I don't know what to even say on that.
- 9:33Ugly something, ugly duckling. I don't even know.
- 9:36I had a lot of things popped in my mind and I was just like,
- 9:38everyone I was filtering. I don't say that. Don't say that.
- 9:41And then, but, um, that ugly duck duckling that can just be a thief.
- 9:45If it, if comparison can always be a thief of your joy, no matter what,
- 9:50you know, you, you want to get that, that promotion at work,
- 9:54or you want to get that, attain that reward or attain, attain that award.
- 10:01And you see someone else get it, or you see someone else have something amazing happen in their life.
- 10:06And instead of being joyful for them.
- 10:10And that's something that I have really struggled with. I want to actually want
- 10:14the best more for other people than myself.
- 10:17So say something else happens really good for someone else.
- 10:20And my immediate reaction in my heart would probably be like,
- 10:24and, and just covetousness. Like that's the word, that's the word for me,
- 10:28covetousness and jealousy.
- 10:29I, I, I want, I want that. And, and I just got to change my mindset to saying,
- 10:35be joyful for that person and just whatever,
- 10:37like be actually like physically and everything you have in you like garner
- 10:44it towards being happy for someone else, getting something good.
- 10:48And don't compare yourself with someone else because it's all it's going to
- 10:52do is just deflate you, destroy you, and make you like, it's going to take the wind out of your sails.
- 10:59And I know it has definitely done that for me. So just removing all comparison.
- 11:03And if you are, you are comparison, use it in a good way to strive to be like
- 11:07somebody that you want to, that inspires you.
- 11:11And then when other people have something great happen in their life,
- 11:14use it as a way to make yourself a better person to wish the best for that person
- 11:20and be happy for that person, that they are getting that amazing thing,
- 11:24because you can find joy in that.
- 11:26Because I do think it is better to give than to the received,
- 11:29to have a generous spirit.
- 11:31And I think we always got to be constantly refining our attitude in our heart.
- 11:36Number four, connection. This is one probably out of all of these that I struggle with the most.
- 11:42Some people are social butterflies. And some people have that just natural,
- 11:47charismatic aura that is able to put them in whatever setting,
- 11:52and they are the life of the party.
- 11:54I mean, everybody just revolves around them, and they're fun, you know?
- 11:59Not everybody has that extrovert personality, and it doesn't come naturally
- 12:05to them, but I don't think you have to have that.
- 12:08You might be a person that doesn't come naturally for you, but you can still
- 12:13develop connection with some people, you know?
- 12:17And I don't think we have to have a connection with everyone.
- 12:20Something I have went through lately is I need to kind of root out the people
- 12:25in my life that bring me down,
- 12:27wish the best for them, hope the best for them, you know, and put the people
- 12:32in my life that really get me going.
- 12:36The people that like, like get me fired up.
- 12:39You know, if somebody is in your life and they're just constantly bringing you
- 12:42down, the Bible says, be at peace with all people as long as much as it depends
- 12:48on you, be at peace with everyone.
- 12:49So you want to do that, but you don't need to just force people in your life
- 12:53that just completely just destroy and ruin your spirit.
- 12:58Like always be putting around you people that are going to uplift you and just
- 13:04weed out the people that are not, You know, wish the best for them,
- 13:07you know, hope the best for them, but you don't need to surround yourself with them.
- 13:10You got to find, you do got to find your tribe.
- 13:13You got to find your tribe, people that are going to just get your,
- 13:15your embers just glowing and get you excited about life and more productive
- 13:20and pushing you in the way that you want to be going, not bringing,
- 13:24bringing you down and pulling you down.
- 13:25And then lastly, and you could say this one, like I said, these aren't a primary,
- 13:30these aren't like my priority because you could say that this is the foundational one.
- 13:35The last C is Christ.
- 13:37For anyone to have, I think people that aren't Christians, they can have joy.
- 13:43They can have peace in life in certain senses, but it's not going to be a lasting
- 13:50joy, a lasting peace. It could be a flare-up.
- 13:53It could be something that just, but it's not going to be ongoing the way that
- 13:57I, I could even say this, I know.
- 14:00I absolutely know that if Christ is not in your life and you have not surrendered
- 14:06and submitted to him and given him your life, you're not going to find who you
- 14:10truly are to the most fullest sense of you.
- 14:13But also the waves are going to hit, the storm is going to happen.
- 14:18And if you don't recognize that Jesus is in the boat, I mean,
- 14:22he's in the boat with everyone, no matter where whoever's listening to this,
- 14:25even if you're not a Christian, Jesus is right there with you.
- 14:29He's right there with you, but it's the Christian is just recognizing he's in the boat with me.
- 14:36No matter what storm happens, no matter what chaos upheaval happens in my life,
- 14:42he's right here stabilizing.
- 14:44And he's the one who can say to the sea, peace.
- 14:49Be still. He can calm the storm in your heart.
- 14:53He could calm the storm in our physical world at any moment,
- 14:56but we can have that current, present peace right now because he is there.
- 15:03I know Christ is the biggest part of joy.
- 15:08To me, it's my joy did not begin actually till I found Christ. I don't know about you.
- 15:14And I immediately go to C.S. Lewis, his book, and I've read it a couple of times, Surprised by Joy.
- 15:20C.S. Lewis, he was the one who wrote Chronicles of Narnia.
- 15:23He was a theologian in the 20th century, and he didn't always believe.
- 15:27He was an atheist, but he came to Christ, and his book, Surprised by Joy,
- 15:33is his autobiography of how that all happened, and that just stunning event,
- 15:39and stunning where he was not looking for it and it caught him off guard.
- 15:44The kingdom of God caught him off guard and he found actually joy in the most
- 15:50unlikely place. And that was Christ.
- 15:53So those are my five C's for constant joy. We'll leave it at that.
- 15:57Have a wonderful day, everyone.
