- 0:00Speaker 1: Today is a very special day.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Why?
- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to Wednesday on the Country 92.5 Morning Show. It's
- 0:08Speaker 1: also National Chewing Gum Day. It is Pet Tricks Day.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you if Roxanne does or ever
- 0:16Speaker 1: did any tricks.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Well, if you ask her to give you a hug,
- 0:20Speaker 3: she'll put her paws up on your shoulder and lick
- 0:22Speaker 3: your ear.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That's pretty sweet. Truman will give you a handshake or
- 0:27Speaker 1: paw shake. If you have a treat. And this one
- 0:30Speaker 1: is all you. Today's National Women's Health and Fitness Day.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Amanda Jo.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I haven't been to the gym in a week.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Well, but you're feeling under the weather. Otherwise, you'd be there.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Birthdays today. Party of five. Mean Girls actress Lacey Chabert.
- 0:47Speaker 1: How does she say it?
- 0:49Speaker 4: Lacey Chabert.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Okay. 44 today.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Gretchen Wieners.
- 0:54Speaker 1: What's that?
- 0:55Speaker 4: From Mean Girls. Her hair is full of secrets.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Aren't you weird?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Actor and Macaulay's brother, Kieran Culkin, 44. Country singer, Eddie Montgomery,
- 1:09Speaker 1: turns 63 today. Hall of Fame country singer, Marty Stewart,
- 1:14Speaker 1: is 68. And the nanny, the nanny, Fran Drescher, she's 69.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And those are today's special days and birthdays on the
- 1:24Speaker 1: Country 92.5 Morning Show. It is five fifty nine. It
- 1:28Speaker 1: is Wednesday. My name is Damon. That's Amanda Joe right
- 1:31Speaker 1: over there. Real quick. How are you feeling today? She's
- 1:33Speaker 1: been under the weather or.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I think over the hump on the man.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah, but I still feel a little tired.
- 1:40Speaker 1: All right. Well, I appreciate you being here. Here's the
- 1:43Speaker 1: headlines for today.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Weather today.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low 70s.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Red Sox versus the Yankees. Wild card round. Game one
- 1:51Speaker 3: goes to the Yankees. They beat the Sox 9-0. Now,
- 1:55Speaker 3: Cam Schlittler had a good run at the mound for
- 1:58Speaker 3: the Yankees, owning his favorite childhood team, the Sox. If
- 2:03Speaker 3: you didn't know, Schlittler is from Walpole, Massachusetts. I would
- 2:09Speaker 3: hate to be from Walpole.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Like, that's tough. That's tough.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And what a name.
- 2:16Speaker 4: That's tough. Game two. Let's go Sox is tonight.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Our friend Mike in Waterbury, super loyal, says go Yankees
- 2:23Speaker 1: and sends me three fingers crossed emojis. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Big E today. Got a few more days left. Today
- 2:32Speaker 3: is the day to celebrate Agawam, Massachusetts, which if you
- 2:35Speaker 3: didn't know, in the continental U.S.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Is the very first zip code.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Ever. Ever.
- 2:42Speaker 4: 01001. Fun fact.
- 2:44Speaker 3: And just about half of Americans say they would rather
- 2:46Speaker 3: live in a suburban area to a major city or
- 2:48Speaker 3: rural area.
- 2:49Speaker 4: But where are the best small cities?
- 2:51Speaker 3: According to Wallet Hub, Stratford, Connecticut, just outside the top 10.
- 2:56Speaker 3: They came in at number 11. Number one, the birthplace
- 3:01Speaker 3: of America, Lexington, Massachusetts.
- 3:03Speaker 1: No kidding.
- 3:04Speaker 4: If you did not know, that's where the American Revolution started.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Lexington and Concord.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And apparently a sweet place to live.
- 3:10Speaker 3: One of my college roommates was from Lexington. So we
- 3:12Speaker 3: always when we go visit our family, we call it
- 3:14Speaker 3: the Lex because, you know, we always have nicknames for things.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you do.
- 3:17Speaker 4: And I told them.
- 3:18Speaker 3: They're not because it's such a historic town. Their McDonald's
- 3:21Speaker 3: isn't allowed to look like other McDonald's. Like you can't
- 3:25Speaker 3: see the golden arches. It's just kind of like stone.
- 3:27Speaker 3: It says McDonald's.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Anything with a chain.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Look at all the things you can learn at 6
- 3:33Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning here on the Country 92.5 Morning Show. Wow.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Quick look at traffic, play some music. Today's fascinating facts
- 3:43Speaker 1: are all about chewing gum because it's Chewing Gum Day,
- 3:47Speaker 1: including the most expensive pre-chewed piece ever sold. I'll tell
- 3:52Speaker 1: you all about it coming up next. 608 Wednesday Morning Show.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Amanda Jo over there. My name's Damon. Today's fascinating facts
- 4:04Speaker 1: in honor of National Chewing Gum Day are chewing gum facts.
- 4:08Speaker 1: The oldest chewing gum ever discovered was 6,000 years old.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It was so well preserved, they got a human genome
- 4:17Speaker 1: from it and found out it was chewed by a
- 4:20Speaker 1: prehistoric girl with dark skin, dark hair, and blue eyes.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And her name was Allison. I made up the Allison part,
- 4:28Speaker 1: but they figured all that other stuff out just by
- 4:30Speaker 1: her old 6,000-year-old chewing gum. The most expensive piece of
- 4:35Speaker 1: chewing gum ever sold, $ 14, 000. What year? I want to
- 4:37Speaker 1: see if.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I can figure out who it was. Was it a
- 4:41Speaker 4: celebrity that chewed it?
- 4:42Speaker 1: It was a pop star at the time.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Justin Timberlake.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Nope.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Nope.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Actually, I saw another one that somebody bought his. I'm
- 4:50Speaker 1: going to save it for tomorrow. It was Britney Spears
- 4:52Speaker 1: who had pre-chewed and spat it out.
- 4:57Speaker 6: $ 14, 000.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Who was the person that went and retrieved it? Like, oh,
- 4:59Speaker 4: my God.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And got 14 grand for it. Yeah. And these are
- 5:04Speaker 1: actually helpful. If you chew gum while peeling onions, it
- 5:07Speaker 1: will keep you from tearing up. And if you have
- 5:10Speaker 1: a song stuck in your head, chewing gum will get
- 5:14Speaker 1: rid of it. The rhythm of your jaw will eliminate it.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Look at that. Helped you out today. Country 9 to 2-5.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Up next, it's scoop time.
- 5:24Speaker 3: So, Hardee's... Putting something out on Friday. He's been dropping
- 5:29Speaker 3: some interesting teaser clips. I was able to pull some audio,
- 5:33Speaker 3: so I want us all to listen together and see
- 5:35Speaker 3: what we hear.
- 5:36Speaker 1: She's going to suck us into the mystery in about
- 5:38Speaker 1: 15 minutes here at Country 92.5. Happy Wednesday. I hope
- 5:42Speaker 1: it's going to be a great one. I know you're
- 5:44Speaker 1: going to go into it knowing some stuff because it's
- 5:46Speaker 1: time for The Scoop with Amanda Jo, sponsored by Monaco Ford.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Well, this is wild.
- 5:52Speaker 3: A big manufacturing oopsie if you still buy yourself CDs.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So Drew Baldrige put out his latest album just last
- 5:59Speaker 3: Friday or two Fridays ago, Farm Faith Family. Well, when
- 6:03Speaker 3: you put the CD in, he discovered it's Brantley Gilbert's
- 6:08Speaker 3: latest album. Like somehow they screwed up and printed Brantley's
- 6:12Speaker 3: entire album on Drew's Farm of Faith family. Now, Drew
- 6:16Speaker 3: and Brantley, they've had some fun with it on socials.
- 6:20Speaker 3: But if you're looking for Drew on CD, they will.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Get it fixed. That's kind of hilarious because Brantley goes,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I like this. This is good stuff.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Drew's sitting in his truck going to play the CD
- 6:30Speaker 3: and Brantley's in the driver's seat. FYI, Drew will be
- 6:33Speaker 3: playing the Big E on Sunday on the Court of
- 6:35Speaker 3: Honor stage. Hardy, he's been dropping some interesting teases over
- 6:41Speaker 3: the last week for something.
- 6:42Speaker 4: That is coming on Friday. I got to imagine it
- 6:45Speaker 4: is new music.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So the first the first video you see is this
- 6:50Speaker 3: dude walk into his truck and he's got a rifle
- 6:53Speaker 3: on his back. And you could hear some music in
- 6:54Speaker 3: the background by the second one.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So that why he's driving the truck.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:59Speaker 3: And it almost sounds a little gospel-y. So that's the
- 7:03Speaker 3: second video. And then the third video, you see the
- 7:05Speaker 3: guy like pull up to a diner and there's blood
- 7:06Speaker 3: coming out of the truck bed.
- 7:07Speaker 4: So I'm wondering, is it a buck or is it
- 7:09Speaker 4: a body? I don't know. We're going to find out
- 7:11Speaker 4: on Friday.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Another interesting part in the captions, it just says October
- 7:16Speaker 3: 2nd and there's a different color block. So we've got white,
- 7:20Speaker 3: purple and yellow.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I feel like he's trying to like all these artists
- 7:26Speaker 3: now that try to pull the Taylor Swift Easter eggs
- 7:28Speaker 3: and the hint.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I mean, I'm here for it, but I got no
- 7:32Speaker 4: insider information.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You know who could solve that? The Hardy Boys. Remember that?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Oh, it's more of a Nancy Drew person.
- 7:39Speaker 1: The Hardy Boys. Sorry. That's all I got to say.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And there you go. Today's scoop on the country. Ninety
- 7:46Speaker 1: two five morning show coming up. It feel good story.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I'll just give you the headline. Explain later. superheroes stop
- 7:54Speaker 1: purse thief. I'm going to tell you what that's all about.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Come up in 15 minutes. Time for today's feel good story.
- 8:02Speaker 1: So here it is. These three friends are walking home
- 8:04Speaker 1: from a party and they see a guy snatch a
- 8:06Speaker 1: woman's purse at a bus stop. So they take off
- 8:09Speaker 1: after him. But here's the twist. They were coming home
- 8:13Speaker 1: from a superhero themed party. So when they yelled, hey, stop,
- 8:18Speaker 1: the guy turns around and he sees Batman walking Mr.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Fantastic and Poison Ivy running him down. Street camera showed
- 8:27Speaker 1: that Mr. Fantastic got to him first. Then Poison Ivy
- 8:30Speaker 1: closed in, helped to restrain the guy. Batman, in the meantime,
- 8:35Speaker 1: scaled a nearby wall because the guy threw the purse
- 8:37Speaker 1: over it. And then the police arrived.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Sorry about men protecting women. I like that.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Right. Well, Poison Ivy's a gal. And she's technically a villain,
- 8:49Speaker 1: but we're not going to point that out because she
- 8:51Speaker 1: was good this time. So there's today's feel-good story for you.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Can you imagine that? He's running. Is that Batman chasing me?
- 8:59Speaker 1: Holy crap. Anyway, coming up next, how about some headlines?
- 9:05Speaker 3: Well, right now I'm reading up about the world's second
- 9:10Speaker 3: longest living person, oldest living in the U.S.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Oh, I saw this story. She's going to share it
- 9:14Speaker 1: with us.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Oh, no, the secrets.
- 9:15Speaker 1: She's going to share it with us next on the
- 9:17Speaker 1: Country 92.5 Morning Show. Is that Mr. Fantastic? Meeting up
- 9:23Speaker 1: with 84 without delay. No problems on 9184. You'll look

- 11:07Speaker 10: us in hockey anymore. Wait until they hear what East
- 11:10Speaker 10: Hartford Chevrolet is doing this month.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Sir, why would Canada care about a deal in Connecticut?
- 11:15Speaker 10: 13 grand off a Silverado? Trust me, they're already sensitive.
- 11:19Speaker 10: And at those prices, Canadians might start sneaking across the
- 11:21Speaker 10: border in the other direction.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Right. Right now at East.

- 14:40Speaker 1: right now. It's a very important time. It is 648.
- 14:43Speaker 1: My name is Damon, and Amanda Jo has to hit
- 14:46Speaker 1: the headlines.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Weather today, a mix of sun and clouds with highs
- 14:49Speaker 4: in the low 70s. Yankees beat the Red Sox wildcard
- 14:53Speaker 4: round game one last night.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Whooped him.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Nine to zero. It was a while before scores were made.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Well, I mean, the eighth inning, four home, not home runs,
- 15:04Speaker 1: but four runs in kind of sealed their doom.
- 15:07Speaker 3: It didn't go downhill until later in the game, but
- 15:09Speaker 3: Cam Schlittler. He had a good run at the mound
- 15:12Speaker 3: for the Yankees. And I was reading up about the
- 15:14Speaker 3: Yankees team last night. I didn't realize. I think they
- 15:16Speaker 3: have four or five players that play for the Yankees
- 15:18Speaker 3: that are actually from New York. And they have two
- 15:21Speaker 3: players on the Yankees that are actually from Massachusetts, which
- 15:25Speaker 3: I'm sure is a little.
- 15:29Speaker 4: That's got to be a weird feeling. No, I understand.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You would want to play from where you grew up at,
- 15:35Speaker 1: and now you're actually destroying where you grew up.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Cam Schlittler, who did great for the Yankees at the mound,
- 15:40Speaker 3: he is from Walpole, Massachusetts, so I would hate to
- 15:43Speaker 3: be from Walpole.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Feeling a little torn between like, yeah, cheering for our boy,
- 15:47Speaker 4: but also.
- 15:47Speaker 1: You're playing for our boy. Which is a name that's
- 15:51Speaker 1: really you got to say very carefully.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I had to practice that a few times.
- 15:55Speaker 3: So the oldest living person in America just celebrated their birthday.
- 15:59Speaker 4: And he guesses how old?
- 16:01Speaker 1: Let's say it together.
- 16:02Speaker 4: One hundred and sixteen.
- 16:05Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Naomi Whitehead.
- 16:07Speaker 3: She is now the oldest known person in the U.S.,
- 16:09Speaker 3: second oldest person in the world and the last living
- 16:12Speaker 3: American born in 1910.
- 16:14Speaker 4: 1910.
- 16:15Speaker 3: So, of course, science really wants to study her because
- 16:18Speaker 3: they're looking at genetics being a big part of longevity.
- 16:23Speaker 3: They used to think it was a little bit smaller,
- 16:25Speaker 3: but now they're like, hey, she comes from a long
- 16:27Speaker 3: line of people that have lived quite a bit. So
- 16:31Speaker 3: I don't care about the science so much. I want
- 16:33Speaker 3: to know how. So what's her secret? I did a
- 16:36Speaker 3: little creeping on social. Strong faith in God, hard work,
- 16:39Speaker 3: good genetics, and never smoking or drinking alcohol.
- 16:43Speaker 1: There you go. I don't know that I'd want to
- 16:47Speaker 1: be 116. That's a lot.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah, but if I was still fully functioning and she
- 16:54Speaker 4: looks good.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Absolutely. She looks great.
- 16:55Speaker 4: If I saw her in person and didn't know, I
- 16:58Speaker 4: would think she was probably in her 80s.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you'd think she was lying. Come on. No way.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Show me your birth certificate.
- 17:06Speaker 1: There you go. There you go. That's the news around here.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Play some music and have some fun, and then we'll
- 17:14Speaker 1: do a Google Buster with a sweet prize. Corey Kent
- 17:17Speaker 1: is going to be coming to Toad's Place. We're going
- 17:19Speaker 1: to get you in for free.
- 17:23Speaker 9: The Google Buster is on Country 92.5.
- 17:26Speaker 1: What is said prize, Amanda Jo?
- 17:29Speaker 3: Corey Kent, who just put out his latest album, Heartland
- 17:32Speaker 3: Rock and Roll, this past Friday.
- 17:33Speaker 4: He's going to be at Toad's Place March 18th.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You could be there, too, for free. The average American
- 17:41Speaker 1: will consume 312 pieces of this a year. What is it?
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's the question. Average American, 312 pieces this year? Call
- 17:52Speaker 1: us at 860-249-9250. Get it right, and you go to
- 17:57Speaker 1: the show for free. I will bet you a dollar
- 17:59Speaker 1: they say pizza like you did.
- 18:02Speaker 4: I mean, it's Connecticut.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I know.
- 18:04Speaker 4: We got pizza on the brain.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Country 92.5. Happy Wednesday. Hump Day. Who's this?
- 18:12Speaker 5: Allison.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Allison. Corey Kent tickets. Oh, they're on the line. Jeez Louise.
- 18:19Speaker 1: The average American will consume 312 pieces of what a year, Allison?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Is it pizza? See, there's good news and bad news.
- 18:28Speaker 1: The bad news is that is not right. And so
- 18:31Speaker 1: you did not get the tickets. However, I bet Amanda
- 18:34Speaker 1: Jo a buck that you would have said pizza.
- 18:36Speaker 4: So you kind of validated me. But wait, I lost
- 18:39Speaker 4: a buck.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Oh, oh, oh.
- 18:41Speaker 1: So it's bad news for both of you. But thanks
- 18:43Speaker 1: for trying, Allison. And Amanda Jo always has a clue
- 18:47Speaker 1: that pretty much just hands it to you.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Big red, double mint, bubble yum.
- 18:52Speaker 1: There she goes. Fruit stripes. 860-249-9250. Give us a call
- 18:58Speaker 1: and get those Corey Kent tickets when it comes to
- 19:01Speaker 1: Toad's Place. You want to bet another dollar they say pizza?
- 19:04Speaker 7: No.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Country92. 5, good morning. Who's this? This is Sean from Enfield.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Sean from Enfield going for Corey Kent at Toad's Place tickets.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Average American will consume 312 pieces of something every year.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Allison got through first. She said. Is it pizza? That
- 19:27Speaker 1: was wrong. So here was your clue, brother.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Double mint, big red, fruit stripe.
- 19:34Speaker 1: What is it?
- 19:36Speaker 4: We're going to say gum.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Ding, ding, ding, ding. find the fake. Three weird headlines.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Two of them are gonna end up being true she
- 19:49Speaker 1: has to decipher which one i made up yesterday she
- 19:54Speaker 1: nailed it right away she's like that one i was
- 19:56Speaker 1: like dang man you're good all right headline one virginia
- 20:02Speaker 1: woman drinks used toilet water to sabotage dui test Number two,
- 20:10Speaker 1: woman calls 911 to report Roomba assault by boyfriend. Or three,
- 20:17Speaker 1: man blames McDonald's breakfast for 90 mile per hour speeding ticket. Go.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Work that redhead ears. Gray matter's swirling around.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Is the use toilet water to sabotage the DUI test true?
- 20:37Speaker 8: Okay.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Okay. True and disgusting. We're down to a woman getting
- 20:41Speaker 1: attacked by a Roomba, her boyfriend sicked on her, or
- 20:44Speaker 1: a guy driving 90 to get to breakfast at McDonald's.
- 20:48Speaker 3: So I think you made up the third one again.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Man blames McDonald's for the 90 mile per hour speeding ticket. Okay,
- 20:53Speaker 3: I felt like that could be true, but... Ha ha!
- 20:56Speaker 1: Got her! Made up the Roomba thing. Yeah, this guy
- 21:01Speaker 1: was going 90 miles per hour through a 25 mile
- 21:05Speaker 1: per hour zone. Obviously, police stopped him. And he said,
- 21:08Speaker 1: I'm really sorry. I was trying to get to McDonald's
- 21:12Speaker 1: before the hotcakes.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Oh, he's trying to get there before 1030.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 5: That was it, man.
- 21:18Speaker 4: OK. Toilet water. DUI test.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it didn't work. She tried. That's why she tried
- 21:23Speaker 1: it to throw off the test.
- 21:24Speaker 4: So was she.
- 21:25Speaker 1: OK.
- 21:26Speaker 4: OK.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 4: OK, so here's my question.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Desperate measures.
- 21:32Speaker 3: So she got to the police department after they arrested her.
- 21:35Speaker 1: She was locked in a cell. OK. And in the cell,
- 21:38Speaker 1: she used the toilet. Got it.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Got it.
- 21:41Speaker 3: I'm going, how did she if they pulled her over
- 21:43Speaker 3: on the side of the road, how did she get
- 21:45Speaker 3: access to toilet water? That makes more sense because clearly
- 21:48Speaker 3: she had to have been drunk to think, let's drink
- 21:51Speaker 3: some toilet water.
- 21:51Speaker 4: That's a good idea.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That'll throw them off. Ma'am, you're not drunk, but you
- 21:57Speaker 1: have a lot of toilet water in your system. There
- 22:00Speaker 1: you go. Hey, coming up, some legitimate stuff. None of
- 22:03Speaker 1: this silliness. It's headline time.
- 22:06Speaker 4: The best suburban towns in America to live in.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Small cities. WalletHub actually placed a place in Connecticut.
- 22:14Speaker 1: We'll find out what it is next. Together. Country 92.5.
- 22:20Speaker 1: News time, 749. My name's Damon. That's Amanda Jo. We're
- 22:24Speaker 1: the morning show here at Country 92.5. She's going to
- 22:27Speaker 1: take over now and give you those headlines.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Weather today mixes sun and clouds with highs in the
- 22:31Speaker 3: low 70s. Red Sox versus the Yankees. Wild card round
- 22:34Speaker 3: game one goes to the Yankees. They beat the Sox 9-0.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Cam Schlittler had a good run at the mound for
- 22:41Speaker 3: the Yankees, owning his favorite childhood team, the Sox. If
- 22:45Speaker 3: you didn't know, Yankees player Schlittler is from Walpole, Mass.
- 22:49Speaker 4: So I'd hate to be from Walpole.
- 22:51Speaker 1: That's a conundrum. Torn. Huge word for me this early.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Big E. A couple more days left. There's always a
- 22:57Speaker 3: special day. Today is Agawam Day, which if you didn't know.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Can I tell them the fact?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Go for it.
- 23:03Speaker 1: It was the first ever zip code for the nation.
- 23:07Speaker 4: In the continental U.S.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 23:10Speaker 4: 01001.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Just about half of Americans say they would rather live
- 23:15Speaker 3: in a suburban area rather than a major city or
- 23:18Speaker 3: rural area. But where are the best small cities? WalletHub
- 23:22Speaker 3: released their top picks. Stratford, Connecticut, just outside the top 10.
- 23:26Speaker 4: They came in at number 11. Nice place. Nice place.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Good place.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Number one, Lexington, Massachusetts, which I had a college roommate from,
- 23:37Speaker 3: as we called it, the Lex. If you didn't know, historically,
- 23:40Speaker 3: that is the birthplace of America. Because it's where the
- 23:43Speaker 3: American Revolution, I can't talk, started. Lexington and Concord. And
- 23:49Speaker 3: they're not allowed to have, this is what blew my
- 23:52Speaker 3: mind when I went there for the first time in college. Well,
- 23:53Speaker 3: it wasn't my first time, but they're not allowed to
- 23:55Speaker 3: have chain restaurants. So if you go to a Dunkin'
- 23:58Speaker 3: or McDonald's, you don't see the traditional signs. It has
- 24:02Speaker 3: to kind of look concrete and blend.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Oh, so they can have them, but they have to blend.
- 24:06Speaker 4: They have to blend. You can't mess up a historical
- 24:08Speaker 4: city like that.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Well, they are number one.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Fun fact.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And there you go. Let's go.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Joke time!
- 24:16Speaker 1: Wow, that's a lot of excitement. Must be a good prize.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Let's find out. Tessa, what do we got today? A
- 24:23Speaker 1: family four-pack to the Harwinston Fair. And it's this weekend,
- 24:27Speaker 1: so let's go get a joke. How did the pumpkin
- 24:30Speaker 1: and the zucchini settle their differences? One more time. How
- 24:34Speaker 1: did the pumpkin and the zucchini settle their differences? Figure
- 24:39Speaker 1: that out, and it's Harlington Fair for free. Here goes
- 24:43Speaker 1: Amanda Jo's brain. Wow! Holy moly. That was good.
- 24:50Speaker 4: A pumpkin, though, is a gourd, not a * *
- 24:52Speaker 4: * *. But the zucchini's a * * * *.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I had to beep all that because you're giving away
- 24:56Speaker 1: the answer, lady. Let somebody else figure it out, too. Sheesh. 860-249-9250.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Give me the answer Amanda Jo just came up with,
- 25:08Speaker 1: and we'll give you four tickets to the Harwinton Fair,
- 25:12Speaker 1: free from the Country 92.5 Morning Show. Country 9 to 2, 5,
- 25:17Speaker 1: happy hump day. Who's this? Happy hump day, Ellie. Ellie.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Who is this?
- 25:24Speaker 5: Ellie.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Ellie, this is great. Yes. I want to give you
- 25:28Speaker 1: tickets to go to the Harwinton Fair. And we always
- 25:31Speaker 1: say this, Ellie, if Amanda Jo can get it, anybody can.
- 25:35Speaker 1: So please give me the answer to this joke. How
- 25:39Speaker 1: do the pumpkin and the zucchini settle their differences?
- 25:44Speaker 3: He squashed it.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Tessa Grace, how did the pumpkin and zucchini settle their differences?
- 25:50Speaker 1: They squashed them. Shut up.
