• 0:31
Speaker 3: stories for you this morning. First up, federal agents arrest
• 0:34
Speaker 3: a major tech boss charged with illegally supplying Iran. This
• 0:39
Speaker 3: coming out of California. So how did he get away
• 0:41
Speaker 3: with this team for so long? And was it as
• 0:43
Speaker 3: simple as Democrats just look the other way? We have
• 0:46
Speaker 3: the details. Also, Democrats are now seeking to undo a
• 0:51
Speaker 3: Trump tough strategy on green card policy. This could close
• 0:56
Speaker 3: a loophole that hundreds of thousands are using. So why
• 0:59
Speaker 3: are the Democrats doing this right now? Putting illegals ahead
• 1:02
Speaker 3: of Americans. We'll have those details as well. Now, before
• 1:05
Speaker 3: we get to that, I also want to take a
• 1:07

• 1:20
Speaker 3: they feel good. But here's the truth. Those words don't
• 1:24
Speaker 3: mean anything unless they turn into action, and right now,
• 1:28
Speaker 3: not later, today, not tomorrow. There's a child in the
• 1:32
Speaker 3: world who doesn't know if they'll eat, if they'll have
• 1:36
Speaker 3: a chance to learn, or if there's any hope at all.

Speaker 3: words into action and join me introduce a child to
• 2:08
Speaker 3: a loving heavenly father today at Compassion dot com. That's
• 2:14
Speaker 3: Compassion dot com. It's a forty seven morning update and
• 2:18
Speaker 3: it starts right now.
• 2:19
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: We're gonna start with a very interesting story. Federal agents
• 2:24
Speaker 3: arresting a Newport Beach, California businessman. It was happening all
• 2:29
Speaker 3: during a pre dawn raid at his not home but
• 2:32
Speaker 3: mansion on Wednesday, and they charged him with legally supplying
• 2:36
Speaker 3: US origin computer hardware directly to Tehran and what was
• 2:42
Speaker 3: it being used for in military and nuclear operations that
• 2:47
Speaker 3: according to federal prosecutors. Jamsheed Gomi is a sixty three
• 2:51
Speaker 3: year old and a dual citizen of Iran and the
• 2:54
Speaker 3: United States. He was taken into custody during the FBI raid.
• 2:58
Speaker 3: The New York Post has also reported now he's been
• 3:01
Speaker 3: charged with conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economy Powers
• 3:06
Speaker 3: Act and is expected to make his initial appearance Wednesday
• 3:09
Speaker 3: afternoon in federal court in Santa Ana, California. Prosecutors are
• 3:14
Speaker 3: alleging that the man not only sold computer hardware to
• 3:17
Speaker 3: the Iranian government through a year long scheme designed to
• 3:21
Speaker 3: evade US sanctions, earning millions of dollars in the process.
• 3:26
Speaker 3: Gmi is accused of aiding are declared enemies by selling
• 3:31
Speaker 3: US origin computer networking parts to Iran and earning millions
• 3:34
Speaker 3: of dollars in violation of US sanctioned laws. That's what
• 3:38
Speaker 3: the US attorney said in his statement, we will hold
• 3:41
Speaker 3: him accountable by seeking an appropriate prison sentence and by
• 3:44
Speaker 3: seizing his assets, including his thirty five million dollar Newport
• 3:49
Speaker 3: Beach mansion. Now, dozens of federal agents and tactical gear
• 3:54
Speaker 3: gathered before dawn at a nearby parking lot before traveling
• 3:58
Speaker 3: in a convoy to the resident. Located within an exclusive
• 4:02
Speaker 3: gated community. Agents surrounded the property and called for Gomy
• 4:05
Speaker 3: to come outside. What's going on? When occupant of the
• 4:09
Speaker 3: home asked, as agents escorted Gomy's wife and two adult
• 4:13
Speaker 3: sons outside as well. Investigators carrying power tools and evidence
• 4:17
Speaker 3: boxes entered the residents, while an interpreter arrived to interview Gomy.
• 4:22
Speaker 3: After the interview, Gomy emerged from the home and was
• 4:25
Speaker 3: taken into custody. Now, in addition to the sanctions related charges,
• 4:29
Speaker 3: authorities said they are investigating Gomy for possible money laundering,
• 4:34
Speaker 3: tax evasion, and other offenses. According to prosecutors, Gom generated
• 4:38
Speaker 3: more than ten million annually through his computer business, while
• 4:42
Speaker 3: reporting no more than twenty thousand in income to the
• 4:46
Speaker 3: Internal Revenue Service. Federal investigators alleged that for more than
• 4:50
Speaker 3: a decade, Gomy used a Tehran based computer networking company
• 4:55
Speaker 3: he found it to obtain US networking equipment for customers
• 4:59
Speaker 3: in Iran and violation of the US sanctions. Authorities say
• 5:03
Speaker 3: Gomi arranged shipments of more than two hundred and fifty
• 5:06
Speaker 3: tons of controlled US technology and used his personal eBay
• 5:12
Speaker 3: and PayPal accounts to make hundreds of additional purchases of
• 5:16
Speaker 3: computer networking equipment that was ultimately shipped directly to Iran.
• 5:21
Speaker 3: Prosecutors also say negotiated purchases directly with suppliers in Minnesota
• 5:25
Speaker 3: and Nebraska, routing equipment at a front company in the
• 5:30
Speaker 3: UAE before it was sent on to Iran. Authorities also
• 5:33
Speaker 3: led to use freight forwarders and intermediaries in Dubai to
• 5:37
Speaker 3: conceal Iran as the final destination, knowing that he was
• 5:41
Speaker 3: breaking the law. According to the prosecutors, Gomi and his
• 5:44
Speaker 3: co conspirators referred to Iran as the motherland in internal
• 5:48
Speaker 3: communications related to the procurement of the equipment. The technology
• 5:53
Speaker 3: allegedly supplied by Gomi was distributed to hundreds of Iranian
• 5:57
Speaker 3: companies and government entities, many of which were already subject
• 6:00
Speaker 3: to US sanctions. Prosecutors said a portion of the equipment
• 6:04
Speaker 3: was supplied to organized connected individuals and Iran's nuclear in
• 6:09
Speaker 3: military programs as well, and that may be the most
• 6:12
Speaker 3: shocking part of all. Gomi's most prominent asset was his
• 6:17
Speaker 3: more than fourteen thousand square foot mansion. It was situated
• 6:21
Speaker 3: on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property featured
• 6:24
Speaker 3: iron gates, multiple chandeliers, and dual fountains at the entrance
• 6:29
Speaker 3: to impress anyone that decided to come visit, The prosecutor said.
• 6:33
Speaker 3: The arrests demonstrated the federal government's commitment to enforcing sanctions
• 6:38
Speaker 3: as the United States continues military operations against Iran, And
• 6:42
Speaker 3: there is a question that you should be asking, how
• 6:44
Speaker 3: did this guy get away with this for so long?
• 6:46
Speaker 3: What'll be clear, the prior administration, the Biden administration, they
• 6:50
Speaker 3: didn't lift the sanctions on Iran. They just deliberately chose
• 6:53
Speaker 3: not to enforce the sanctions, allowing people like Gomi to
• 6:56
Speaker 3: do exactly what he was doing. They literally looked the
• 6:59
Speaker 3: other way, hoping that appeasement with Iran would work, and
• 7:02
Speaker 3: that meant saying, oh, no, no, no, we have sanctions
• 7:05
Speaker 3: on Iran, but do they matter if you're not enforcing them.
• 7:08
Speaker 3: We now know quote that our nation's laws prohibit doing
• 7:11
Speaker 3: business with one of the world's largest state sponsors of terrorism,
• 7:15
Speaker 3: and it must be enforced and obeyed. Again, another example
• 7:19
Speaker 3: of the Trump administration actually abiding by the laws while
• 7:22
Speaker 3: the radical left does everything they can to help these
• 7:25
Speaker 3: individuals continue to do business in the United States of America.
• 7:29
Speaker 3: It truly is amazing that this individual was not caught sooner.
• 7:33
Speaker 3: If it wasn't for the Trump administration, he'd probably still
• 7:36
Speaker 3: be doing business right now.
• 7:38
Speaker 2: Next story number two, another.
• 7:39
Speaker 3: Big story that I think is really important that we
• 7:42
Speaker 3: also highlight right now is one that is connected very
• 7:45
Speaker 3: much to the story I mentioned about the individual from Iran,
• 7:48
Speaker 3: and that is Democrats now are seeking to undo Donald
• 7:53
Speaker 3: Trump's tough new policy on Green card holders. Democrats on
• 7:58
Speaker 3: Capitol Hill say they're going to move to overturn the
• 8:01
Speaker 3: president's immigration policy changes now Trump's second term. He said,
• 8:06
Speaker 3: I'm going to have a new rule that could require
• 8:08
Speaker 3: many Green card applicants already living legally in the United
• 8:12
Speaker 3: States to leave the country and complete their applications from abroad.
• 8:16
Speaker 3: That according to report by The Hill, and multiple national
• 8:19
Speaker 3: outlets have also confirmed the details. Now the Democrats are
• 8:24
Speaker 3: losing their minds, saying the policy could affect hundreds of
• 8:26
Speaker 3: thousands of immigrants currently working, studying, and raising families in
• 8:30
Speaker 3: the United States of America now. For decades, many legal
• 8:33
Speaker 3: immigrants have been able to apply for permanent residency through
• 8:36
Speaker 3: a process known as adjustment of status, allowing them to
• 8:40
Speaker 3: remain in the US while their green card applications were reviewed.
• 8:44
Speaker 3: But the Trump administration said this has become a massive loophole,
• 8:48
Speaker 3: and the new guidance dramatically changes that process. Under the policy,
• 8:52
Speaker 3: the applicants could now be required to return to their
• 8:54
Speaker 3: home countries and complete the process through a US consulate
• 8:58
Speaker 3: unless they can demonstrate what the administration calls extraordinary circumstances. Now,
• 9:04
Speaker 3: the administration argues this isn't a new law, but rather
• 9:07
Speaker 3: return to the original intent of immigration status. Homeland Security
• 9:11
Speaker 3: officials say the temporary visas were never intended to become
• 9:15
Speaker 3: an automatic pathway to permanent residency, and that the new
• 9:19
Speaker 3: rules will make the immigration system more orderly and also efficient.
• 9:24
Speaker 3: The administration is also indicated that expectations may be available
• 9:29
Speaker 3: for individuals who provide a significant economic benefit or serve
• 9:34
Speaker 3: the national interests. Well, democrats, you know what they're going
• 9:37
Speaker 3: to do stand up for those that aren't American citizens
• 9:40
Speaker 3: before they stand up for American citizens every single time
• 9:44
Speaker 3: they can do it, and that's exactly what they're doing now.
• 9:48
Speaker 3: They're calling this move by the Trump administration disruptive and
• 9:52
Speaker 3: harmful and hurtful, and they argue it could separate families,
• 9:55
Speaker 3: disrupt careers, create uncertainty for employers, and force legal immigrants,
• 10:00
Speaker 3: and to link the overseas processing backlogs that can stretch
• 10:04
Speaker 3: for months or even years again making sure they put
• 10:07
Speaker 3: those from outside of America ahead of you. Now, immigration
• 10:11
Speaker 3: advocates are also warning that this will be a disaster,
• 10:14
Speaker 3: but again, look at the open border process and what
• 10:16
Speaker 3: we've actually had in this country. Now, the debate now
• 10:19
Speaker 3: centers on a larger question what should legal immigration look
• 10:23
Speaker 3: like in America. Supporters of President Trump who voted for him,
• 10:27
Speaker 3: said it was very clear they wanted to shut down
• 10:29
Speaker 3: the borders, They wanted an orderly program, and they wanted
• 10:32
Speaker 3: to get illegal immigrants out of this country. They wanted
• 10:35
Speaker 3: to stop rewarding people who were coming into this country
• 10:37
Speaker 3: illegally with government benefits as well. And the Trump policy
• 10:41
Speaker 3: says the administration is simply enforcing the immigration laws that
• 10:45
Speaker 3: are already on the books and closing these loopholes that
• 10:49
Speaker 3: encourage temporary visitors to remain permanently. Now Democrats say no,
• 10:55
Speaker 3: we are going to go back to what we had
• 10:57
Speaker 3: before that allowed for massive immigration into this Democrats are
• 11:01
Speaker 3: now pushing this as a election your issue, and they're
• 11:05
Speaker 3: also saying they're going to have legal challenges to block
• 11:08
Speaker 3: the policy as well. Now the outcome could determine literally
• 11:11
Speaker 3: how hundreds of thousands of future green card applicants navigate
• 11:15
Speaker 3: the path to permanent residency in the United States of America.
• 11:19
Speaker 3: And once again the Democratic Party making it clear we
• 11:22
Speaker 3: stand for legal immigrants and those from outside the United
• 11:26
Speaker 3: States of America before we stand up for Americans and
• 11:30
Speaker 3: what Americans want and or believe on the issue. And
• 11:34
Speaker 3: that's exactly why this is going to be a major
• 11:36
  Speaker 3: election your issue.
