- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, everybody, to Wednesday's version of the best betting show ever.
- 0:06Speaker 1: I'm Lawrence Presman. We got a great show today. We
- 0:09Speaker 1: got Joe Ranieri, Art DeCesar, and The Pen. Ralph Michaels
- 0:14Speaker 1: joining me. We're going to take care of our sharp bets.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Where is the money going today in the NBA, college football,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and the NHL? We got our parlay of the day,
- 0:25Speaker 1: our trends and angles segment. Ralph Michaels is going to
- 0:27Speaker 1: take apart some college football stuff. We're going to look
- 0:30Speaker 1: at college football week nine, NFL side bets for week eight,
- 0:35Speaker 1: and we're going to do our rundown. We're going to
- 0:38Speaker 1: jump right ahead to the NHL playoffs. We don't know
- 0:40Speaker 1: which team is in it yet, but we're going to
- 0:42Speaker 1: talk about it. And, of course, our NBA rundown. But
- 0:46Speaker 1: first and most importantly, Joe Ranieri, I have a question
- 0:49Speaker 1: for you.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 0:52Speaker 1: How do I get my screen to look as, like,
- 0:56Speaker 1: how do I look as good as you? You're, like, clear, crisp, studly.
- 1:03Speaker 1: What do I do, Joe? What do I do to
- 1:05Speaker 1: make my screen look as good as yours?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Well, take your right hand, Prez. I'll show you a trick, right?
- 1:13Speaker 2: And just put it over your face. And I'm telling you,
- 1:18Speaker 2: crystal clear, you look outstanding, my friend. Outstanding that way.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I mean, you are dead on, man. You look very
- 1:25Speaker 2: studly there. Not Ralph Michaels studly, but studly nonetheless. Yes.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Ralph Michaels with his toupee. I don't want to see
- 1:35Speaker 1: that damn thing, Ralph. You lost your toupee play last week.
- 1:38Speaker 1: You're now one and two. Art the Caesar is a
- 1:41Speaker 1: perfect four and O, which is why he still has
- 1:45Speaker 1: his hair. We got our Two-pay play coming up. Art,
- 1:49Speaker 1: let's get straight into it. What are the sharp bets
- 1:51Speaker 1: for tonight?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, college football, there's a couple of games. Early on
- 1:55Speaker 3: in the process, they took three with Kennesaw State. NHL,
- 1:59Speaker 3: they're over money in the Capitals game. A little bit
- 2:01Speaker 3: of Leafs money for you, Prez. NBA, they took three. Yeah,
- 2:06Speaker 3: took three and a half at the Heat. Laid seven
- 2:08Speaker 3: and a half at the Rockets. Took under 237 and
- 2:11Speaker 3: a half in the Sixer game. And over 238 in
- 2:14Speaker 3: the Nuggets game.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 2:17Speaker 2: There you go. Okay.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Our parlay of the day is next. Ralph, you started out.
- 2:26Speaker 1: We got a four teamer. We suggest you guys round
- 2:29Speaker 1: robin them. I suggest only threes and fours because two
- 2:32Speaker 1: team round robin, two team parlays make no sense to me.
- 2:36Speaker 1: But Ralph, go ahead.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Well, I think it was last week or two weeks ago,
- 2:41Speaker 4: we mentioned the Colorado Avalanche and their incredible record-facing teams
- 2:45Speaker 4: with no rest. But we said we weren't going to
- 2:47Speaker 4: play it because the Avalanche also had no rest. So Colorado,
- 2:52Speaker 4: home as a favorite of minus 130 or higher with
- 2:55Speaker 4: rest versus an unrested foe, 25-1, 96.2%. And how about this?
- 2:58Speaker 1: 24-2.
- 3:04Speaker 4: On the puck line, laying the puck and a half,
- 3:07Speaker 4: and they're still 24-2. Colorado, for me, leg number one.
- 3:13Speaker 1: There you go, Colorado. And, Ralph, I don't want to
- 3:16Speaker 1: hijack the parlay segment, but Art, can you confirm this?
- 3:20Speaker 1: I mean, we got a ton of money coming in
- 3:23Speaker 1: on the New Jersey Devils, and I mean a ton
- 3:27Speaker 1: of money coming in on the New Jersey Devils.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yeah, there was money on them yesterday, and obviously they
- 3:33Speaker 3: got the cash in Dallas. Hellebuck got his first start,
- 3:36Speaker 3: looked pretty good. He got five goals of support, which helped.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I will add to the parlay with an NHL play.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I will take the band team, the Edmonton Oilers, in regulation,
- 3:50Speaker 1: minus 125, give or take. Art?
- 3:54Speaker 3: That's going to be all NHL until Joe goes, give
- 3:57Speaker 3: me the Capitals.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And you're taking them at minus 235?
- 4:03Speaker 3: No, we'll do regulation.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Okay. Joe? Brewers. Brewers.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Brewers.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I was on them last night.
- 4:12Speaker 2: They should have won last night. They'll win a game tonight, though.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They'll win it tonight.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yep.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yep.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Now 7-3.
- 4:19Speaker 4: 8-3.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I'm 8-3 in the MLB playoffs, so let's hope I
- 4:24Speaker 1: can get it done tonight. Okay, boys, let's keep the
- 4:28Speaker 1: show moving. Ralph Michaels, your Trends and Angles segment. I
- 4:31Speaker 1: know it's got a college... Football, lean to it. So
- 4:37Speaker 1: the microphone is yours.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Well, you know, you, 138 FBS teams this year. I
- 4:46Speaker 4: would say at least 130 of them in the summer
- 4:49Speaker 4: say their realistic goal. I mean, some teams like Alabama,
- 4:53Speaker 4: Georgia have national championship aspirations, but even Akron and Kent
- 4:57Speaker 4: or Charlotte have goals to make a bowl game, get
- 5:00Speaker 4: to six and six and get to a bowl game.
- 5:03Speaker 4: So what happens when a team is off a loss
- 5:05Speaker 4: and it's their seventh loss?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Well, guess what?
- 5:08Speaker 4: You no longer have those goals in place. You're playing
- 5:12Speaker 4: out the season. You know you're not going to a bowl.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Has it affected teams once they get a seventh loss?
- 5:20Speaker 4: Here's the chart, and it goes back to 2021. Take
- 5:24Speaker 4: a look at the top line. If you blindly faded
- 5:28Speaker 4: every team that is off a seventh loss, You've gone
- 5:32Speaker 4: 92 and 116, 44% on them, 56% fading them. On
- 5:38Speaker 4: the very bottom are road teams. And this makes total
- 5:41Speaker 4: sense to me. If you're off a seventh loss, you're
- 5:44Speaker 4: going on the road. It's a business trip. You're not
- 5:47Speaker 4: going to classes. You're not hanging around family and friends.
- 5:50Speaker 4: When you have a seventh loss, now you're playing at home.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You're hanging out with your friends. You're going to the meetings.
- 5:55Speaker 4: You're playing in front of your family. And those home
- 5:58Speaker 4: teams have struggled. Home teams off a seventh loss, only 41.4%.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And take a look at the from plus six and
- 6:06Speaker 4: a half to minus six and a half. Those teams
- 6:09Speaker 4: only 18 and 29, 38.3%. So A seventh loss does
- 6:16Speaker 4: hurt a team, especially.
- 6:17Speaker 2: When they're at home.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I bring this up and a lot of people don't
- 6:20Speaker 4: think about that. We think about good teams off a loss.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Bad teams off a loss can be a fate as well.
- 6:26Speaker 4: This is one of these situations.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Joe, anything? That's not, that ATS number is interesting, Rob. What,
- 6:36Speaker 2: 92 and 16? Is that what, 116? 44% for all
- 6:42Speaker 2: of these over what, since 2021? That's, man, is that terrible.
- 6:47Speaker 2: But I guess it makes sense.
- 6:49Speaker 4: You got to remember, Joe, I mean, you know, I'm
- 6:51Speaker 4: going to talk a little bit about Moore-Baylor in my
- 6:54Speaker 4: two-play play, but, you know, teams never, teams never used
- 7:01Speaker 4: to fire a coach until you got to seven losses
- 7:03Speaker 4: because you were still playing for a bowl. But now
- 7:06Speaker 4: with the transfer portal open January 2nd to January 16th,
- 7:11Speaker 4: they need to jettison those coaches, let these kids know
- 7:14Speaker 4: they're not going to play for that same coach. And
- 7:16Speaker 4: we saw what three coaches get fired, including Baylor that
- 7:19Speaker 4: has a winning record currently. So it has completely changed
- 7:23Speaker 4: the dynamics of how regular teams finish the season now,
- 7:27Speaker 4: especially those that think they may have a coaching change.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yep. Wow. New era.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Anything to talk about there?
- 7:34Speaker 3: No. That's an interesting fact. Listen, we talk all the
- 7:37Speaker 3: time about fired coaches on this show, so we always
- 7:40Speaker 3: like those.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Angles as well. But even the dog at seven or more, Ralph,
- 7:44Speaker 2: they still suck. Yeah. They're still terrible.
- 7:49Speaker 1: There's no winning proposition here.
- 7:52Speaker 2: None. Everyone is an away team.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Eighth. Yeah, and that's only a couple games over. Actually,
- 8:01Speaker 4: I could have made the percentage a few more, Joe,
- 8:03Speaker 4: because dogs of 25 and more are actually like six
- 8:07Speaker 4: and three against the spread, so if I knocked those out,
- 8:10Speaker 4: these percentages would be even lower, but I just wanted
- 8:12Speaker 4: to do a general set rule where we're not putting
- 8:15Speaker 4: too many parameters involved.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Not good. College.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Or good to.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Fade them, yeah. Guys....
- 8:25Speaker 1: You're watching the best betting show ever. And Kelly, Joe,
- 8:30Speaker 1: if you can promote this for me over the weekend.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Kelly needs you to promote some stuff for her there, Joe.
- 8:35Speaker 1: She's getting all ready for our wager talk last call.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You hosting this weekend?
- 8:40Speaker 2: I am.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I am.
- 8:41Speaker 1: A lucky man. Joe Ranieri hosting wager talk last call. Okay.
- 8:46Speaker 1: We got lots of show left, guys. Only halfway through.
- 8:49Speaker 1: We're going to do our college football week nine show.
- 8:52Speaker 1: We're going to do our NFL side bets for week eight,
- 8:56Speaker 1: our NHL rundown, our NBA rundown. We're going to talk baseball.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Before we get into any of that, we're going to
- 9:02Speaker 1: take care of some business. Ralph, what do you have
- 9:06Speaker 1: going for the clients?
- 9:08Speaker 4: Well, you know what? All these people that watch the Blitz,
- 9:12Speaker 4: we want to say thank you. We do a midweek
- 9:14Speaker 4: segment on Tuesday. We are live on WagerTalk TV Saturday
- 9:18Speaker 4: morning at 10 a.m. So Brian Power, Ross Benjamin, and
- 9:21Speaker 4: I decided to do a customer appreciation week for the Blitz.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Seven-day all-access for Brian, Ross, or myself, $ 49. Not a
- 9:30Speaker 4: football weekend warrior. That's 49 by itself. But this week only,
- 9:34Speaker 4: the code 49BLITZ will get any of us seven days free. sports,
- 9:40Speaker 4: all plays for $ 49, just $ 7 a day. And Prez,
- 9:45Speaker 4: I need to not wear this toupee next week. So
- 9:48Speaker 4: let me give everyone our toupee play of the day
- 9:50Speaker 4: in college football. I am going to go Baylor. Baylor,
- 9:57Speaker 4: they are four and three. They have three losses. They
- 10:00Speaker 4: got rid of their head coach. I love the D.C.
- 10:03Speaker 4: He was the D.C. at Kansas State for seven years.
- 10:06Speaker 4: He was at North Dakota State when they won national championships.
- 10:09Speaker 4: He says the team has rebounded. They're talking about still
- 10:12Speaker 4: making a goal. Hell, they could get to a very
- 10:14Speaker 4: good bowl game with three losses. So they have everything
- 10:18Speaker 4: in front of them. For UCF, they're, of course, off
- 10:20Speaker 4: that massive win against Baylor. Biggest home win for UCF,
- 10:25Speaker 4: beating that AP top-ranked team. But again, I am not
- 10:30Speaker 4: that happy with this team. You're looking at a team
- 10:33Speaker 4: that is struggling against the run. UCF has run for
- 10:38Speaker 4: under five yards per carry, but they had a couple
- 10:41Speaker 4: games early in the year where they rushed for 360
- 10:43Speaker 4: and 300, so we're going to take that out of consideration. Baylor,
- 10:46Speaker 4: to me, whose offense, remember last week, they lost to
- 10:50Speaker 4: Kansas by one point Got out gained by a few yards.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Early in the year, they lost to Auburn by one
- 10:56Speaker 4: point because they went for two. They had a 47-yard edge.
- 11:00Speaker 4: I think Baylor gets a bump from firing their coach.
- 11:04Speaker 4: UCF in a horrible spot. Baylor deserves to be favored
- 11:07Speaker 4: in this game. And they're my two-pay play of the day.
- 11:11Speaker 4: So I don't have to wear this next.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Jesus, you're old?
- 11:16Speaker 2: Again, Prez, what did we talk about? Take the hand.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Thank you very much. Okay.
- 11:24Speaker 1: He looked so young and handsome. He looked like he
- 11:26Speaker 1: was about to put on full garb and sing. I
- 11:31Speaker 1: couldn't even name.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Let's get the show on the road. Yeah, let's get
- 11:36Speaker 2: the show on the road. All right, guys. Thanks. Have
- 11:39Speaker 2: a great weekend. Thanks.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Thanks, Ralph.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Thanks, Ralph. Okay.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Right now, only today, the only thing I have going
- 11:50Speaker 3: on is I'm in play in the baseball game. You know,
- 11:54Speaker 3: doing really well in the MLB playoffs. Might load an
- 11:57Speaker 3: NBA play later. Still trying to figure that out. Probably
- 11:59Speaker 3: figure that out with your next hours. We are in
- 12:03Speaker 3: play for the playoffs. And college goes up for me Thursdays.
- 12:09Speaker 3: NFL goes up for me Fridays. So, you know, obviously
- 12:12Speaker 3: keep your eye out for that. And anything else you
- 12:14Speaker 3: want to see, WT.buzz.com.
- 12:18Speaker 1: There you go. Art DeCesar.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Joe Ranieri.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm really a Hugo, brother.
- 12:24Speaker 2: What do you got going on? Well, first thing, refresh
- 12:27Speaker 2: your computer there, Preskis.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I will.
- 12:29Speaker 2: As much as I want to make fun of you,
- 12:31Speaker 2: it's again with the hand. 5% NFL Sunday best bet
- 12:38Speaker 2: is up and available over at my page at WagerTalk.
- 12:41Speaker 2: We just won... Our last one on Sunday, in fact,
- 12:47Speaker 2: with Seattle and now nine and three since last season
- 12:50Speaker 2: on these five percenters. So I would encourage you to
- 12:53Speaker 2: go grab that or go get the weekend warrior pass
- 12:57Speaker 2: and get everything on Saturday and Sunday. College football and
- 13:01Speaker 2: the NFL, which seems to be, again, one of the
- 13:04Speaker 2: best deals that we that we've got going on there.
- 13:07Speaker 2: over at wagertalk.com, I believe. $ 49, get you all off
- 13:12Speaker 2: Saturday and Sunday, Prez.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well, listen, this is a great week to buy
- 13:18Speaker 1: me as well. I got a 5% play up on
- 13:21Speaker 1: Sunday in the NFL. I also have a 4% on
- 13:24Speaker 1: Sunday in the NFL, and both of them are ATS bets.
- 13:28Speaker 1: This is going to be my largest card of the
- 13:32Speaker 1: year for ATS bets. I'm over 62% of these plays
- 13:35Speaker 1: in the last five years. It's a really, really strong
- 13:39Speaker 1: card for Sunday. As for tonight, I have an NHL
- 13:42Speaker 1: bet up for you guys. And I'm on a 20-6
- 13:47Speaker 1: run in the NHL. 12-5 to start the year. And
- 13:53Speaker 1: I have a baseball play I'm about to put up.
- 13:57Speaker 1: And I'm 8-3 in the MLB playoffs run. So all
- 14:03Speaker 1: good for my clients, all good for me. It's going
- 14:06Speaker 1: to be a great Wednesday. OK, college football week nine.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I'll throw three at you. Georgia, Utah, Oklahoma State. Those
- 14:18Speaker 1: are the three that kind of jumped out at me
- 14:21Speaker 1: that haven't become client bets, but that I'm looking at aren't.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I mean, Georgia's a rivalry game. You know, obviously those
- 14:31Speaker 3: can always be a little tricky when you get to
- 14:33Speaker 3: those spots. You know, listen, I think you're on the
- 14:37Speaker 3: boat as me. I still believe Georgia's the best team
- 14:40Speaker 3: in the country. So, you know, I get maybe wanting
- 14:45Speaker 3: to back Georgia here. What were the other two you said, Press?
- 14:49Speaker 1: Well, you don't have to discuss them. You can throw
- 14:51Speaker 1: yours out. But Oklahoma State and Utah at Cincinnati.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Okay, yeah. I mean, what sides do you like in those?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Oh, I like Utah, Georgia, and Oklahoma State.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Oh, okay. I would say my favorite out of those
- 15:08Speaker 3: three would be Georgia.
- 15:11Speaker 2: There you go.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Any early looks for you?
- 15:15Speaker 3: No, honestly, not much. I mean, obviously, I gave out
- 15:17Speaker 3: a bunch of the sharp stuff yesterday. Probably try to
- 15:19Speaker 3: give out a bunch tomorrow as well. But no, I
- 15:23Speaker 3: really haven't dived that heavily into the college football card
- 15:26Speaker 3: so far. Joe?
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, a few of them. I think Miami destroys North Carolina.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I don't care that they're playing Notre Dame on tap.
- 15:37Speaker 2: That doesn't bother me. I also believe that Florida State
- 15:43Speaker 2: is going to open up a can of whoop-ass on Clemson,
- 15:46Speaker 2: and Dabo's going to wish that he actually had taken
- 15:49Speaker 2: the buyout and moved on from there. That would also
- 15:53Speaker 2: be fun. Notre Dame might win by a million over Navy.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Like they did, well, it feels like what they do
- 16:00Speaker 2: every year, Art, doesn't it? I mean, remember when they
- 16:03Speaker 2: opened up in Ireland? Boy, that was not fun for
- 16:07Speaker 2: Navy at all. So, yeah, I think some of the
- 16:11Speaker 2: big favorites this week, including Oklahoma State, are a big
- 16:15Speaker 2: favorite for a reason there, Prez. And I wouldn't shy
- 16:19Speaker 2: away from laying big numbers this week.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Okay, boys, NFL Week 8 side bets. I'll throw some
- 16:26Speaker 1: at you. Art, I'm going to talk first. So I'm
- 16:29Speaker 1: going to mention the line that really kind of is
- 16:33Speaker 1: just too weird for me, and that is Cleveland. Plus
- 16:36Speaker 1: three and a half. I think Cleveland's better than Pittsburgh.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I think Pittsburgh's won in smoke and mirrors. I understand
- 16:43Speaker 1: Cleveland hasn't beat anybody of major substance. This is a
- 16:47Speaker 1: division game. I'm getting more than a hook. Art, talk
- 16:52Speaker 1: me off of the Cleveland Browns, if you can.
- 16:55Speaker 3: It's hard to. I mean, they've already beaten Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's
- 16:59Speaker 3: also coming back from Europe. You know, they don't have
- 17:03Speaker 3: the week off.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And we saw what happened with Houston when they came
- 17:06Speaker 1: back from Europe.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of times when you come back from
- 17:09Speaker 3: Europe and you play the next week, which is the
- 17:12Speaker 3: team's choice, by the way, they decide what they want
- 17:15Speaker 3: to do for that. If they want to buy or
- 17:17Speaker 3: they want to just come back and play. At over
- 17:20Speaker 3: a field goal, it's hard not to be on the Browns.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Joe, thoughts? Pittsburgh's very good at Not losing two in
- 17:33Speaker 2: a row to the same team in the division here.
- 17:37Speaker 2: And I think offensively, I think they've gotten better and
- 17:40Speaker 2: better each week.
- 17:41Speaker 1: They have.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I find it very hard to rely on the Browns
- 17:46Speaker 2: to sweep the Pittsburgh Steelers this year with Deshaun Watson.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I just think there's going to be some regression coming,
- 17:53Speaker 2: and it's likely coming in a.
- 17:57Speaker 2: In a divisional matchup here like this spot. I love
- 18:01Speaker 2: the defense. Under is probably the best play for me
- 18:03Speaker 2: in that game.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I love the under.
- 18:05Speaker 2: But if you're going to make me choose, I would
- 18:08Speaker 2: not bet against Pittsburgh right now because offensively, I think
- 18:11Speaker 2: they can score with anybody.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, I don't.
- 18:15Speaker 3: That first game they played, too, flew over.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 1: No, I like the under, though, too, in that game,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and especially with the weather changing right now. Let's talk
- 18:26Speaker 1: Kansas City and Denver, Art. Kansas City coming off of
- 18:29Speaker 1: a loss, and a loss where they really were out
- 18:32Speaker 1: of sync. I don't think they entered the red zone
- 18:35Speaker 1: the entire game. I could be wrong on that. Oh, yeah, so...
- 18:40Speaker 1: And now they've got Denver, who just made... Look, they
- 18:43Speaker 1: finally had a sort of get-right game, if you will.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Um.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I like the under, but we're talking sides. What do
- 18:50Speaker 1: you got for us, Art?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I like the under too, Prez. Obviously, this was
- 18:56Speaker 3: the week one matchup where Denver did not look great
- 18:58Speaker 3: at Arrowhead. I think they're going to split. I lean
- 19:04Speaker 3: Denver here. Listen, Kansas City got off to a really,
- 19:06Speaker 3: really great start, but they hadn't really played anybody. And
- 19:11Speaker 3: then they had to go to Seattle and play a
- 19:13Speaker 3: playoff type team. Now they're going on the road again
- 19:16Speaker 3: and playing Denver. It was a playoff-type team with really
- 19:19Speaker 3: good defenses and back-to-back weeks. Kansas City's offense looked atrocious
- 19:24Speaker 3: Sunday night. So having seen that, I know Mahomes is
- 19:28Speaker 3: still Mahomes, but they have no weapons on the outside.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I lean Denver.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Joe, real quick on that game, and then we'll talk
- 19:35Speaker 1: Atlanta-Tampa Bay. Thoughts on the Denver-KC game? I'm with Art
- 19:40Speaker 1: on that. I lean Denver, too.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Deezer. but I'll use Denver and I'll be using Denver
- 19:46Speaker 2: in teasers. Kansas City has got some issues, and their
- 19:51Speaker 2: biggest issue is they have no wide receiver threats at all. No.
- 19:57Speaker 2: And you saw what a— and, again, strength of schedule matters here.
- 20:01Speaker 2: They played absolutely nobody until— Sunday night against a real
- 20:06Speaker 2: defense in Seattle. Now they got to go back on
- 20:08Speaker 2: the road and take on a division rival in Denver
- 20:11Speaker 2: whose defense is a hell of a lot better than
- 20:15Speaker 2: it was in that first game of the season. And
- 20:17Speaker 2: don't forget, the only reason Denver or Kansas City actually
- 20:21Speaker 2: scored in that game to get the 30 points was
- 20:24Speaker 2: because Denver turned it over twice in the red zone
- 20:27Speaker 2: and and gave them short fields to be able to
- 20:29Speaker 2: do it. So I think Denver bounces back here, but
- 20:35Speaker 2: I will gladly get over a touchdown and teasers with
- 20:38Speaker 2: them for sure.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Atlanta on the road, division game. Look, giant game for
- 20:44Speaker 1: both of these teams. I think if Tampa Bay can
- 20:46Speaker 1: win this game, they're back in this thing. I think
- 20:49Speaker 1: if Atlanta wins this game, it's a statement. And I
- 20:52Speaker 1: think they run away with the division, frankly, especially with Carolina.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I think likely losing on Thursday night to Green Bay.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I like Atlanta here, Art, plus the two and a half.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I also like the over to throw a total back
- 21:07Speaker 1: at you.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and if we're going to stick to the theme
- 21:11Speaker 3: of teasers, Atlanta's great in a teaser. You know, you
- 21:14Speaker 3: get them up over a touchdown as well. I'm with you, Prez.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I think this is a massive game in the NFC South.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Winner might actually be the team who's going to control
- 21:24Speaker 3: who's going to win this division. And, I mean, listen,
- 21:29Speaker 3: it's hard to be in a letdown when you're going
- 21:32Speaker 3: to play a division team on the road. But they
- 21:35Speaker 3: had a really great win at home against San Francisco,
- 21:38Speaker 3: who most of us think is the best team in
- 21:40Speaker 3: the league right now. And we're obviously playing as the
- 21:42Speaker 3: best team in the league. So that was a massive
- 21:44Speaker 3: win at home. Now they have to go on the road.
- 21:46Speaker 3: But I'm with you, Prez. I lean Atlanta here. Joe?
- 21:51Speaker 2: These two teams play ridiculous games. They're always high scoring
- 21:57Speaker 2: and they're always over that. Anything is possible in this
- 22:00Speaker 2: game with these two teams. And I think it's, You
- 22:04Speaker 2: need to separate because both of these teams with Mayfield
- 22:09Speaker 2: and Pennix have a lot of data that doesn't involve
- 22:12Speaker 2: those two guys under center. So you have to be
- 22:15Speaker 2: careful by lumping the entire season numbers as if Pennix
- 22:20Speaker 2: and Mayfield have been the guys from week one because
- 22:23Speaker 2: they haven't. But every time, I think seven and one
- 22:26Speaker 2: to the over since these two have been with Atlanta
- 22:30Speaker 2: and Tampa and they've played one another. So seven and
- 22:32Speaker 2: one to the over, I... Feels like an over game,
- 22:35Speaker 2: but your guess is as good as mine as the side,
- 22:38Speaker 2: because these games always end up absolutely craziness at the
- 22:42Speaker 2: end of them.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yeah, like 41-40 when it was 13 points in the
- 22:48Speaker 1: first half.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yep. Crazy.
- 22:50Speaker 1: NHL rundown, guys. Art Philadelphia playing Washington. You gave out
- 22:56Speaker 1: Washington in the parlay. I get it. I'm not.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I get it. Like.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I don't have much thoughts on this game, dude.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, Philly, give them credit. They were
- 23:08Speaker 3: down 3-0, and they fought their butts off to force
- 23:11Speaker 3: that game into overtime, which Columbus won. Yeah, Philly's one
- 23:15Speaker 3: of the worst teams in the league. Capitals at home,
- 23:18Speaker 3: I like. I like that regulation play as well.
- 23:21Speaker 1: It's really amazing how bad Philadelphia is, and especially with
- 23:24Speaker 1: their coach being a guy that can't deal with losing.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Edmonton in regulation, coming off of a loss, an overtime
- 23:32Speaker 1: loss to Detroit. It was Calgary four wins in a row.
- 23:37Speaker 1: We spoke about that. I think this could be a blowout.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't disagree. This is, you know, there's a
- 23:44Speaker 3: couple of big favorites tonight where we've talked about this,
- 23:47Speaker 3: where people are going to harlay the regulation. instead of
- 23:51Speaker 3: parlaying the big numbers. So you see a lot of
- 23:53Speaker 3: that tonight.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I would do the same with Colorado. So I think
- 23:56Speaker 1: Colorado is winning this game. It's a really, really bad
- 24:00Speaker 1: spot for New Jersey. And I'm curious how about play
- 24:03Speaker 1: great in his first game back, but I don't think
- 24:05Speaker 1: they're going to him two games in a row back
- 24:07Speaker 1: to back. That's a groin injury waiting to happen.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It's a great call press.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Seattle and Toronto.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I like the over.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mentioned there was a little bit of sharp
- 24:20Speaker 3: money that came in on Toronto. I would actually lean Seattle,
- 24:23Speaker 3: but I don't love it.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Boys, NBA rundown. Do the MLB play in the middle
- 24:29Speaker 1: of that. The microphone is yours.
- 24:32Speaker 2: All right. Let's see, Art, if we can start with,
- 24:36Speaker 2: I believe, Detroit at Charlotte tonight as Detroit finally lost
- 24:42Speaker 2: the game at Madison Square Garden because, well, the refs
- 24:45Speaker 2: decided that they should lose. So the Knicks get the win.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Detroit goes home. But they rested pretty much everybody tonight.
- 24:53Speaker 2: in the third and fourth quarter in there. So Charlotte
- 24:57Speaker 2: still doesn't have half their guys to me. I think
- 25:00Speaker 2: Detroit at home is a bounce-back spot, even though it's
- 25:02Speaker 2: the second of a back-to-back year.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't disagree with that, Joe. Obviously, the Charlotte
- 25:10Speaker 3: team will be a little bit different moving forward. We
- 25:14Speaker 3: still don't know what they are early in the season.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Yeah, the Heat are on the hell no list for me.
- 25:20Speaker 2: So I can't bet them until they win at least
- 25:24Speaker 2: or at least get the 500 at this point, because
- 25:26Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell they are. But you're
- 25:28Speaker 2: telling me the Sharps are betting the Heat tonight, which
- 25:30Speaker 2: is interesting.
- 25:32Speaker 3: They took the heat with the points. I thought it
- 25:35Speaker 3: was interesting as well. I'm with you. There's no way
- 25:37Speaker 3: I could put my money on Miami.
- 25:39Speaker 2: No. Embiid expected back tonight for Philadelphia on the road
- 25:43Speaker 2: against Indiana, which might be good news for Philly here.
- 25:48Speaker 2: But I don't know about giving Indiana two buckets here
- 25:52Speaker 2: at home. I don't like the bench of Philadelphia. They
- 25:55Speaker 2: got nobody who can score once everyone sits. So I
- 25:58Speaker 2: like Indiana in this spot.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a big Pacers backer. I took their over win. So,
- 26:04Speaker 3: you know, you're going to give me them at home
- 26:05Speaker 3: with some points. I like it.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Cavs and Wizards here tonight. No way I can look
- 26:10Speaker 2: at anything but an over in this one. Wizards still
- 26:14Speaker 2: not good defensively, even with Anthony Davis. The Cavs have
- 26:18Speaker 2: not met a three point shot. They don't like the take.
- 26:20Speaker 2: What are you looking at here? Double digit favorite.
- 26:22Speaker 3: No, no doubt. And the Cavs will be very popular
- 26:25Speaker 3: in the Moneyline parlays. They'll be on the top of everybody's,
- 26:28Speaker 3: you know, free bingo square. Yeah, I'm with you. Up
- 26:31Speaker 3: and down. They'll get up and down in this game. Honestly,
- 26:33Speaker 3: if I had to do anything, I probably would lay
- 26:35Speaker 3: the big number with the Cavs because they'll probably pull
- 26:37Speaker 3: away late in the second half.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Raptors, shocker. Kawhi Leonard is hurt, but they're taking on
- 26:44Speaker 2: the Magic. Shocker. Paulo Bancaro is now hurt. So four
- 26:48Speaker 2: and a half for the Raptors at home. Do we
- 26:51Speaker 2: like them?
- 26:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I would lean that way. I would probably lean
- 26:55Speaker 3: the under as well.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Under there. Pelicans, who are 0-3, but could very well
- 27:01Speaker 2: be 3-0, taking on the Denver Nuggets. Denver on the
- 27:04Speaker 2: road here, kind of like Denver to get it done
- 27:07Speaker 2: here against the Pelicans.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Yeah, probably a good spot for Denver. You're right, the
- 27:12Speaker 3: Pelicans have been kind of feisty here, but, you know,
- 27:15Speaker 3: they're still the Pelicans.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Timberwolves, no. Anthony Edwards, at least until the calendar turns here,
- 27:22Speaker 2: three and a half is what they're laying against the
- 27:24Speaker 2: AARP team of the Warriors, Art. It does feel like
- 27:29Speaker 2: points are still coming in this one. I'm still looking
- 27:32Speaker 2: at it over.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't disagree. What a bad break for Minnesota.
- 27:38Speaker 3: They looked so good in this first week of the season.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Now they're going to be down with one of their
- 27:41Speaker 3: best players. And listen, give the Warriors credit. They obviously...
- 27:45Speaker 3: Bounce back here, what was it, the other night where
- 27:47Speaker 3: they actually got off their snide and got a win.
- 27:49Speaker 3: But it's still hard to back the Warriors, too. I
- 27:52Speaker 3: would lean Minnesota here.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Rockets are a juggernaut taking on the Bucs. As long
- 27:57Speaker 2: as it's not double digits, I'm probably laying it with
- 28:00Speaker 2: the Rockets here.
- 28:02Speaker 3: I can't disagree. Houston has maybe quietly been one of
- 28:07Speaker 3: the two or three best teams in the league.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yep. Knicks, second of a back-to-back on the road tonight
- 28:12Speaker 2: against the Bulls. The Bulls are terrible, but I don't
- 28:15Speaker 2: know that the Knicks should be laying seven and a
- 28:17Speaker 2: half right now against anybody.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and the Bulls just came off, what, losing by
- 28:21Speaker 3: like 50? If they have any professional pride with the
- 28:27Speaker 3: champs coming in, I actually would lean the Bulls here
- 28:30Speaker 3: getting the points.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Spurs beat up the Sacramento Kings last night, but
- 28:37Speaker 2: they're flying to Utah to take on the Jazz, who
- 28:39Speaker 2: has proven to be pretty feisty as well there. 13
- 28:43Speaker 2: and a half the Jazz are getting. I don't like
- 28:45Speaker 2: what I see from the Spurs.
- 28:47Speaker 3: No, it's a lot of points. Obviously, Utah's got some
- 28:49Speaker 3: injury problems as well. There's so many games on the
- 28:53Speaker 3: NBA board. This is a game I would absolutely just
- 28:55Speaker 3: stay away from. And honestly, if I had to lean anywhere,
- 28:58Speaker 3: I would probably lean Utah.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Me too there. And Thunder taking on the Mavs here tonight.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Cooper Flagg single-handedly beat Miami the other night. They're getting
- 29:07Speaker 2: five and a half against a depleted Thunder team here.
- 29:11Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Mavs at home getting the points. Thunder probably still
- 29:16Speaker 3: in a little bit of shell shock, losing a couple
- 29:19Speaker 3: of their guys, especially Williams again.
- 29:21Speaker 2: And the Battle of L.A., Lakers and Clippers here tonight.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Second of a back-to-back for the Lakers, who are laying
- 29:28Speaker 2: four and a half against the Clip. What do you think?
- 29:32Speaker 3: It feels like a cheap number for the Lakers. You know,
- 29:36Speaker 3: obviously they lost last night against Portland. Luka went off again.
- 29:39Speaker 3: I would lay it with the Lakers.
- 29:42Speaker 2: There you go. All right, Prez. And by the way,
- 29:44Speaker 2: Major League Baseball, it's over tonight. Just throw that out there.
- 29:48Speaker 2: There you go, everybody.
- 29:49Speaker 1: That's the show.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Yep.
