- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. The DOJ and the State of New Mexico
- 0:09Speaker 1: have been engaging in a back and forth battle over
- 0:11Speaker 1: Epstein transparency over the past few months. Well now it's
- 0:16Speaker 1: escalated to the point where New Mexico is suing the DOJ,
- 0:22Speaker 1: And not only are they suing the DOJ, but they're
- 0:25Speaker 1: also suing Todd Baby Billy Blanche on top of it.
- 0:28Speaker 1: And I find it juicily ironic. We have the DOJ
- 0:33Speaker 1: who keeps telling us how transparent they are, how they
- 0:36Speaker 1: want to get to the bottom of what happened, how
- 0:39Speaker 1: they want justice, but they won't even work with the
- 0:43Speaker 1: Attorney General's Office of New Mexico to get to that point. So,
- 0:47Speaker 1: if they're not going to give fellow law enforcement the documents,
- 0:51Speaker 1: what makes you think they're going to give them to us,
- 0:53Speaker 1: especially considering the behavior that we've seen exhibited from the
- 0:57Speaker 1: Department of Justice and the administration. So how could anyone
- 1:01Speaker 1: think or believe that we're going to get transparency here
- 1:04Speaker 1: If they don't trust other law enforcement in New Mexico
- 1:07Speaker 1: to have these files, do you really think they trust you?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Today's article was published by NBC News and the headline
- 1:14Speaker 1: New Mexico sues DOJ and Todd Blanche alleging they blocked
- 1:18Speaker 1: the Epstein probe. This article was authored by the Associated
- 1:24Speaker 1: Press and Quirky Si Masco. New Mexico's Attorney General sued
- 1:29Speaker 1: the US Justice Department on Wednesday, accusing it of blocking
- 1:33Speaker 1: the state from investigating sex crimes at Jeffrey Epstein's sprawling
- 1:36Speaker 1: ranch near Santa Fe. And that's not even in dispute.
- 1:40Speaker 1: That's exactly what they did. The SDNY, the DOJ, they
- 1:45Speaker 1: took control and according to the evidence that we have
- 1:50Speaker 1: available to us, they made the State of New Mexico
- 1:54Speaker 1: back off. Now, we can criticize the State of New
- 1:57Speaker 1: Mexico for not having the courage to tell them to
- 2:00Speaker 1: get slucked, but the truth is the Justice Department is
- 2:05Speaker 1: that faultier. There's not one single scenario that should have
- 2:09Speaker 1: left Zoro Ranch unraided. The second all those other houses
- 2:14Speaker 1: were raided, Zoro Ranch should have been raided too. But instead,
- 2:18Speaker 1: what do we see, well, Jeffrey Epstein getting arrested at
- 2:21Speaker 1: the airport. No cameras, no press, no media there. Now
- 2:26Speaker 1: compare that to what happened with Diddy and look, I'm
- 2:29Speaker 1: certainly not taking up for Didty right. Dude's a reprehensible
- 2:32Speaker 1: piece of shit. But the facts are the government didn't
- 2:36Speaker 1: make their case, and they tried to throw the whole
- 2:38Speaker 1: kitchen sin Yad didy right. They charged them with rico everything.
- 2:42Speaker 1: They raided all of his houses, every last one of them.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But Jeffrey Epstein doesn't have the New Mexico ranch raided.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Why never been an explanation, By the way, nobody's ever
- 2:55Speaker 1: deemed it fit to explain to you, the people paying
- 2:58Speaker 1: the bills, why it all went down on the way
- 3:00Speaker 1: it went down. And then if you ask him many questions,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you're called a trader, you're called a conspiracy theorist, and
- 3:07Speaker 1: you're now the enemy, at least according to the man
- 3:10Speaker 1: in charge the lawsuit in federal court in Washington, d C.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Said the Department and Acting Attorney General Todd blanche stonewalled
- 3:19Speaker 1: New Mexico Attorney General Raoul Torres's criminal investigation into Epstein
- 3:24Speaker 1: and others taken steps that actively harms victims and undermines
- 3:29Speaker 1: the public interest. That's all a fact too, And a
- 3:33Speaker 1: lot of the problems the Justice departments having are self inflicted.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I mean, you can only shit on the people so
- 3:39Speaker 1: many times before the people say enough is enough. And
- 3:42Speaker 1: I think that we've reached that point. The lawsuit seeking
- 3:46Speaker 1: judicial intervention to force the federal government to turn over
- 3:50Speaker 1: material to New Mexico investigators was filed the same day
- 3:53Speaker 1: that the state released a report saying those directly responsible
- 3:57Speaker 1: for protecting New Mexicans relied on others to do their job,
- 4:01Speaker 1: including federal prosecutors in New York. And that was my
- 4:05Speaker 1: big problem at the time. That's why I was so
- 4:09Speaker 1: critical of what was going on in New Mexico. You
- 4:13Speaker 1: can't leave it up to the Feds. You have to
- 4:14Speaker 1: run your own parallel investigation. Now, of course that doesn't
- 4:18Speaker 1: mean you step on the dick of the federal government.
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's not what you do. But you still shake trees,
- 4:23Speaker 1: you talk to people, you have a local feel, you
- 4:25Speaker 1: have a local flavor, You know the area, you know
- 4:28Speaker 1: how the people act. Talk to them, Open an investigation,
- 4:32Speaker 1: find out if any girls in Santa Fe or Albuquerque
- 4:35Speaker 1: were hurt. I know, difficult to do your job right,
- 4:39Speaker 1: a lot easier later on down the road to point
- 4:41Speaker 1: some fingers. So as much as I want to blame
- 4:44Speaker 1: the federal government, and believe me, I do there's some
- 4:48Speaker 1: blame to be had in New Mexico as well. The
- 4:52Speaker 1: federal prosecutors, though, never prioritize New Mexicans, focusing instead on
- 4:56Speaker 1: Epstein's misdeeds in New York, Palm Beach, Florida, and the
- 5:00Speaker 1: Virgin Islands, while leaving Epstein's offenses in New Mexico unexamined.
- 5:04Speaker 1: The report said, And of course you have to ask yourself,
- 5:07Speaker 1: why why wouldn't they care about New Mexico the same
- 5:11Speaker 1: way they cared about those other places. And don't even
- 5:13Speaker 1: try and tell me there was no evidence. There certainly was.
- 5:17Speaker 1: We've heard about it, we've seen it, and the mountain
- 5:20Speaker 1: keeps growing higher each day. Meanwhile, according to the Washington lawsuit,
- 5:25Speaker 1: Torres and the senior prosecutors have faced sustained resistance to
- 5:29Speaker 1: the kind of information sharing that had occurred in the
- 5:32Speaker 1: past between state and federal investigators. Again, they don't want
- 5:36Speaker 1: people to know. And the whole entire plan was to
- 5:40Speaker 1: take it from the state's hands so that the federal
- 5:43Speaker 1: government can control the narrative and make sure that blast
- 5:46Speaker 1: radius doesn't expand, it said. Protecting victim privacy remains a
- 5:53Speaker 1: top priority, though the Justice Department remains available to assist
- 5:56Speaker 1: New Mexico's investigation consistent with the law and binding court orders.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Just a bunch of gobbly book right. They have no
- 6:04Speaker 1: desire to do the right thing. They have no desire
- 6:07Speaker 1: to follow the law. They have no desire to tell
- 6:10Speaker 1: you the truth. If they did, we would have to
- 6:13Speaker 1: go through this whole entire rigamarole, would we. If you
- 6:15Speaker 1: want to release the files and you want to be transparent,
- 6:18Speaker 1: well release the files and be transparent. It is not difficult.
- 6:23Speaker 1: They've made it much more difficult than it has to be,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and that's because they're covering it up. Torres, in an
- 6:31Speaker 1: interview with NBC's Hayley Jackson, accused the Justice Department of
- 6:35Speaker 1: hiding behind the Epstein's survivors. We have provided them with
- 6:39Speaker 1: ample legal justification for releasing the files, Torres said, And
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm sure they have, but I don't think it matters
- 6:46Speaker 1: what kind of evidence they show up with the Justice
- 6:48Speaker 1: Department is going to do. What's done throughout this whole
- 6:51Speaker 1: entire ordeal cover shit up. The lawsuit said the Justice
- 6:57Speaker 1: Department in Blanche were hiding information about Epstein and as
- 7:00Speaker 1: co conspirators when New Mexico is one of the few
- 7:03Speaker 1: jurisdictions that may still be able to hold Epstein's associates
- 7:06Speaker 1: accountable or provide some sense of justice to the survivors. Well,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I think that in all the states that this went down,
- 7:14Speaker 1: that there is a path to justice if the states
- 7:16Speaker 1: want to get involved. We know that they have dual sovereignty,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and we know that the states can open whatever investigation
- 7:23Speaker 1: they want as long as there's evidence, and my friends,
- 7:27Speaker 1: we know there's plenty of that. In a video conference
- 7:29Speaker 1: call with reporters, Torres said his office has made ten
- 7:33Speaker 1: separate requests for key information and has been ignored or denied.
- 7:39Speaker 1: We have heard repeatedly that they'll cooperate, and what our
- 7:42Speaker 1: team has experienced is anything but cooperation, Torres said, par
- 7:47Speaker 1: for the course, just like they want you to file
- 7:50Speaker 1: freedom of information acts that they have no desire or
- 7:53Speaker 1: they have no plans on fulfilling. Rinse and repeat, this
- 7:59Speaker 1: is an ongoing investigation. You're not privy to this. Sorry,
- 8:03Speaker 1: we're going to hide this information from you, the taxpayer.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And now not only are they hiding stuff from regular citizens,
- 8:11Speaker 1: they won't even provide this information to the state of
- 8:14Speaker 1: New Mexico to help them with their own investigation into Epstein.
- 8:19Speaker 1: How much more evidence do you need, Like, do you
- 8:22Speaker 1: need a neon sign that's flashing saying cover up? Todd
- 8:26Speaker 1: Blanche today with a stroke of a pen could grant
- 8:29Speaker 1: us the access that he claimed. Torres said, instead, they
- 8:32Speaker 1: have decided to stonewall, to obstruct, and to frankly conceal
- 8:36Speaker 1: for whatever reason. Oh we know what reason. We know
- 8:40Speaker 1: the cover up is alive and well and that shits
- 8:43Speaker 1: be managed by Todd Baby Billy Blanche. The lawsuit references
- 8:49Speaker 1: a Justice Department prosecution memo that describes a sexual assault
- 8:52Speaker 1: at Toro Ranch by a woman who was not Epstein's
- 8:55Speaker 1: former girlfriend and close associate. Glenn Maxwell asked on Halle
- 9:01Speaker 1: Jackson now whether Torres believes there's another woman who facilitated
- 9:05Speaker 1: assaults in a similar way to Maxwell, He said, the
- 9:07Speaker 1: truth is, we don't know at this point. Well, it
- 9:09Speaker 1: sounds like they're talking about Sarah Kellen or Naudia, but obviously,
- 9:13Speaker 1: until we have information one way or the other, that speculation.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Torres added that having access to all the files would
- 9:22Speaker 1: put them in a better position to seek the answers
- 9:24Speaker 1: to that and other questions. Epstein took his own life,
- 9:28Speaker 1: allegedly in federal jail in New York City in August
- 9:31Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, after he was denied bill on sex trafficking
- 9:35Speaker 1: charges lodged against him when he was arrested a month earlier.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Maxwell is serving a twenty year prison sentence after she
- 9:44Speaker 1: was convicted in twenty twenty one of sex trafficking charges
- 9:47Speaker 1: at trial in Manhattan, where some of the witnesses and
- 9:51Speaker 1: testimony alleged that Epstein and Maxwell had sexually abused women
- 9:55Speaker 1: at the New Mexico Ranch. Yeah, no shit, just it
- 10:00Speaker 1: cleared up for everybody, Okay. Wherever Jeffrey Epstein went, people
- 10:03Speaker 1: got abused. Whether that's in interlock In, whether that's in France,
- 10:09Speaker 1: whether that's in New York, whether that's in Florida, New Mexico,
- 10:13Speaker 1: the fucking Moon. Wherever this dude went, A trail of
- 10:17Speaker 1: tears followed. Epstein purchased a sprawling estate, Zoro Ranch and Stanley,
- 10:22Speaker 1: New Mexico, a sparsely populated ranching community about thirty miles
- 10:26Speaker 1: south of Santa Fe in ninety three from former Democratic
- 10:31Speaker 1: governor Bruce King, and built a hilltop mansion with a
- 10:34Speaker 1: private airstript and helipad, and there's no doubt that that
- 10:38Speaker 1: property was set up for clandestine behavior. What that clandestine
- 10:42Speaker 1: behavior is, I don't know. Could be a whole host
- 10:45Speaker 1: of things. One thing I'm sure of is that people
- 10:48Speaker 1: were being abused at this property. Beyond that, everything's up
- 10:53Speaker 1: in the air, but nothing's off the table. The property
- 10:57Speaker 1: was sold by Epstein's estate in twenty twenty three to
- 11:00Speaker 1: the family of Don Huffen's, a Republican who was recently
- 11:03Speaker 1: appointed state comptroller in Texas. In a February social media
- 11:08Speaker 1: post on x, Huffein said the property had been renamed
- 11:11Speaker 1: San Rafael Ranch, after a saint associated with healing, and
- 11:16Speaker 1: that his family plans to operate a Christian retreat here.
- 11:19Speaker 1: A Christian retreat. Huh, that's exactly where I want to
- 11:23Speaker 1: send my kids to go to a retreat. Can we
- 11:26Speaker 1: go sing Kumbaya in Jeffrey Epstein's office, Like, what are
- 11:31Speaker 1: you even doing here? Buddy? How about you raise that
- 11:35Speaker 1: fucking place to the ground and then never build anything
- 11:38Speaker 1: there again. In December, the Justice Department started releasing investigative
- 11:45Speaker 1: records pertaining to Ebstein and Maxwell in accordance with the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Epstein files. Transparency Act complaints quickly arose about shoddy redactions
- 11:54Speaker 1: and too many sealed material from accusers and members of
- 11:57Speaker 1: Congress who fought to pass the trans Parency Act. Records
- 12:01Speaker 1: that were released, including photographs, interview transcripts, call logs, court records,
- 12:06Speaker 1: and other documents, were either already public or heavily blacked out,
- 12:11Speaker 1: and many lack necessary context. Well that's the whole point.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Flood the zone, baby confuse. People dump a bunch of
- 12:20Speaker 1: shit that's not real so that it overshadows the stuff
- 12:23Speaker 1: that is. In a joint statement on Wednesday to NBC News,
- 12:28Speaker 1: some of the survivors of Epstein's abuse said they stood
- 12:31Speaker 1: behind Torres request for the files. The DOJ's argument that
- 12:36Speaker 1: it won't hand over the files in order to protect
- 12:38Speaker 1: survivors' identities is laughable when the DJ has already revealed
- 12:43Speaker 1: their names and personal information. The statement said, by holding
- 12:47Speaker 1: onto these files, Todd Blanche's DJ is simply continuing to
- 12:51Speaker 1: protect abusers. Well that's what they're doing. I'm sorry to
- 12:54Speaker 1: say it, and I know some people don't want to
- 12:56Speaker 1: hear it, but the truth is the truth. And if
- 12:59Speaker 1: the Department of just just wanted to be transparent. Well,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I would think that now would be the time. So,
- 13:05Speaker 1: like usual, we'll see where it all goes, and we'll
- 13:08Speaker 1: see how it ends up and how far it progresses
- 13:10Speaker 1: in court if it does progress that far, and once
- 13:14Speaker 1: we have some more information one way or the other,
- 13:17Speaker 1: we'll get it added to the catalog. All the information
- 13:20Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
- 13:23Speaker 1: description box.
