- Monday morning means one thing time for is it weird? We do things we think Okay, are these weird? Are they not? Is everybody else doing it? So we discuss Amanda please ladies first. So I just noticed it last week. I was going through my phone to start a group text for Fourth of July because we always have a big gathering for the fourth of July. And I started going in and I was looking for like family last names, and I realized I have kept everybody's like maiden names. Do you do that? Do you ever switch people's names over? Like I'm sure I'm Amanda Serrano in people's phones from like way back in the day, Amanda, you're talking to a guy whose wife is still in his phone as her maiden names. No way, So you think I'm going around change at random other people's No, Is it really? It is correct? Yeah? Yeah, never got around to change in that one. I guess you know what, I'd be curious. I don't know what I'm am in Knick's phone. No, No, because I I can't imagine it's like wife or is it just a man? You know, if I had a guest knowing Nick, especially after Friday, him filling in really got to know him. Well, it's probably wifey with like a not a emoji. No, No, it's probably just a man. What does he call you? Doesn't he call you? Woo? He calls me, Yeah, but I don't even think he would have changed it to that woo. Yeah, he said that on air when he was filling in for you for his Father's Day gift on Friday. He just casually goes woo. And I never even said anything. I just thought about it later, like, did you say woo? Yeah, that's what he calls me? Interesting? Care to share what that is? It's a long story. Oh, we don't have time. Probably, we don't have We don't have time for that. No, it's not weird. No, I don't think so. It's made a name. It's just a weird thing in general, the fact that you know, you change your name, right, it's just odd, like sometimes numerous like I'll see my sister, you know, with a different last name, and I just always I get sort of offended. I'm like, you know, you really left us high and dry here. A lot of people are keeping their maiden names now, yeah, or hyphenating, right, But then where do you draw the line there? Because if you hyphenate and then you have a kid and they want to hyphenate, what the heck are they going to do? How many names is too many? I would say four. I think you can like the four is enough. Anything after that is a little aggressive, all right? I mean, is it weird that I practiced my golf swing in public? And meaning, like last week, I was at the gym, in public gym, and I'm standing there between sets and you got to do something for ninety seconds, and so there's all these mirrors and I often don't have the privilege of looking in like full body mirrors on every side of me, and so I thought, well, what a good time to really kind of keep that right elbow tucked in the back swing, you know. And so I'm sitting there with a bunch of people around, and I'm practicing the golf swing, and I'm thinking, what are they thinking right now? Are they thinking, Wow, what an athlete? This guy is committed to the game. Exact opposite, they're probably thinking, Okay, dude, we get it your golf. But that's not what I'm doing. I'm not doing it to show them that I feel like the gym isn't as weird of a setting. But if you're just sitting at a restaurant and you stand up and practice swing unless you're over in sweet shots, that's a little weird. Well what about other places? Yes, for sure, in other places, the store, like anywhere, like any public place, the bank. Why no, I'm not standing up at a restaurant. I'm not going to do it. Like if I'm interacting with you. I'm in one secon lose your No, it's all practice, It's all, is it? Though? Is it really practice? Do you understand how many movements in the golf swing there aren't? Like it's a lifelong, you know, process of trying to perfect the golf swing. Okay, it never ends, or I guess I should say day Shambeau after yesterday, Yeah, what a choke job. That was unbelievable. No, and I've, for my part, didn't play great yesterday either, so I kind of get it. Really choke Thank you for asking. But I'm played my buddy Miller celebrating his first Father's Day. So we went out to golf, which was a lot of fun. Birdie the first hole, and I'm thinking at that point, okay, what's the course record? Again? At Rose Creek because I might have it today. Oh feels good. Proceed to go triple triple triple bogie. Just the most horrific stretch of golf I've maybe ever done. And so it comes down to the last hole and we're betting money and all I gotta do is make a double bogie or better. And I proceed to dunk two in the water, make a quad and lose. I mean, it was pathetic. So anyway, maybe you should get back to the gym and practice a little bit more. That's what I'm saying. If I was more comfortable doing it in public, things like that wouldn't happen. No, I think that's weird. No, I think. I think my other golf guys they get it. Like you see other guys doing it, don't you. Your husband Nevers. You never catch him in the living room of the kitchen. Oh yeah, in the kitchen. He's at home doing it. It's not in public. I don't think I've ever seen him in public do that. My one wish for Nick is that one day he'll be comfortable enough with himself got it to be able to practice his golf. Swinging five in the morning, Big Nutty eight point seven. Did you enjoy your Father's Day? Because I know it was up to a great start when last Friday, your husband Nick shared that his one wish for Father's Day was to be able to take the day off from you know, doing kid duty and to just come in here and goof around of the radio, and so he did. It was incredible, Yeah, rave reviews from that, A lot of people loved it. In fact, I wasn't so sure if I was welcome back today, So thank you guys for having me. Yeah, it was just temperary. We're kind of like working on the sort of the paperwork and is this the slow push out? Yes, yeah, we're working on it. What'd you say? You've been working by my back this whole time? Oh? Good, good here, good to here. And you know, my Father's Day was, I know, you know, on Mother's Day, it's just one of those tough ones where first one without my dad, who I lost in December, and so it was, you know, sad, but I try not to think about it too much because you know, you could think about it every day and just be sad all the time, right, or you could just try to not And either way you're gonna have to get through your day, but you know you'd still like to it on some days at least think about it. You don't want to forget them, especially if you're on social media, like I know you were super busy, so you probably weren't scrolling all day, but you just see, oh I found way to scroll, don't. But you see all these people in everything that they're doing, and you can't help but just feel like gosh, like well, and I do love seeing all you know, everybody's Father's Day post because while you got him, like yeah, love the heck out of him, talk to him, you know obviously anybody if you've lost a parent, it's like you wish you could you could talk to him again. Then you just think of all these things you wish you would have said, and then you can't, and it's pretty brutal. And then I was I was driving listening to the radio. I love the radio. I was listening to some country music because my dad loved old country, you know, and this song came on from Alan Jackson, who love Alan Jackson, Little Chatdajoucci. No man, it wasn't Chattahoochie. It was that one about and of course it was and I think it was probably because it was Father's Day, that's why this song was on. But it was about his dad and when he was growing up, like letting him drive. And it's a really good song. But I'm like, God, what a bad time to catch this one. Yes, will never be forgotten. And if you know the song, it's like, man, really connected because I remember growing up and like you know, let me or drive the boat or driving the truck. And then anyway, it was just like, really, Alan, we got to do this right now. The seventy five Johnson and the Electric Chote, No, that is that is a good one. It is interesting because this morning we of course don't figet about our parents, but just driving into work this morning because the sun rise and it was just like bright pink and that's kind of like one of those things and I was like that got me a little emotional on my way. And so it's those things that you when you least expect it happened and you know they're still there and all of those things. But yeah, definitely thinking to you if you if you did not have your dad around yesterday, and if you did, you know, it's it's a good day either way to either remember them or to love them while they're here. So I hope everybody enjoyed it. I actually got to spend the day with my friend Miller, who is now a father for the first time, so celebrating his first Father's Day. And you're a godparent. Yeah, we had the just funny houw that worked out. He had the baptism for his child, August Dean, cute little guy. How many grand or not grandkids? How many godparents? How many god should I am the godfather to my nephew Liam? And then now Miller's baby. Okay, I was thinking there was like two or three in there. I'm trying to collect as many god children as I can. So if you need one, let me know. I do a great job. And yeah, it's a great time. And they they bring you up there and they ask you all those questions like do you renounce the devil from this baby? And I go, yeah, of course sure I do. Don't no devil around this baby, not if I have anything to say about it. Did you stay for did they have the fellowship and coffee? Yes? No, I didn't have time. Oh no. We went to Miller's parents to the farm outside out north of Glendon there got it. I guess that's always my favorite, just to see what they're gonna whip up the old baptism cake with who knows what. Oh yeah, we had a nice sort of graduation style. Yes, really delicious. They make some great turkey up and frazy, so we had some of that what do they call what's the name of that buttered turkey, but it's not it's up gobblers. Oh that is one of my favorites. Yeah, we had some of that, but no, it was Yeah, it's always good to be at the church. Although in the summer that attended Sir Dwindles, I think there was outside of the family. I want to say there was like six ladies. Pretty brutal summer hours hours. I get a mana in the morning, stage ninety seven. You know, around the office place, you hear a lot of the same phrases over and over, and you might think that you're sounding smart or just you know, professional, But there's a certain phrases that are probably doing more harm than good because people are without actually physically doing it, rolling their eyes. Oh see, mine is like just normal hallway talk as people happy Monday. Oh gosh, back at it again, live in the dream short like, yeah, that's just annoying, like social you know, coworker chatter. But these are like professional things. So for example, these are things that you might want to avoid saying at work because your boss probably doesn't like them saying things like think outside the box. Okay, it's cliche, but what they're doing is, you know, trying to get you to think creatively. Is essentially what that is, not just going with the obvious thing. So why don't people like it? Well, this expert says that the phrase has become so overused it really doesn't carry much meaning because I think now any sort of thinking at all is just it's assumed. It's supposed to be outside of the box. Correct, Anything inside the box is so obvious you don't need to think at all. It's just right there. It's well said. That is yes, but yes, and that is how it usually goes. It's like, well, this needs to be different a duh. Yeah. Well, and that brings us to the next one that they say to not use is low hanging fruit. Yeah, that's one of our favorites here in the biz, is low hanging fruit. At least three or four times a week. Oh, that was some low, low hanging fruit. And it's always confusing because are you supposed to take the low hanging fruit or or not? Because what it means is obviously making or taking the easiest or most obvious option first, the one that's right there for you. Okay, So it's like is that bad or good? Because you why would you make things harder? Just because I feel like in Arbiz low hanging fruit is like really, guys, yeah, right, like if it's you know, I don't know, it's Monday, and we just it like, ah, don't you hate mondays? Here's five things that makes mondays suck? You know what I mean? Right? But they say low hanging fruit in this expert, by the way, describes it as an awkward metaphor that can sound glib. Huh. I don't care for that forra glib because I don't know what that means. I know. But then if you're going to change it, what else low hanging? What? What else would be hanging low? I don't know. I can't think of anything. Uh. That you should probably avoid around the office is synergy. Now that's a word. I think it's fun, but it's a very vague term. They say that refers to cooperation or combining efforts. Maybe if you have different departments, the sales department, the finance department, you know, having synergy with them, collaborating extent working together. I feel like we don't use the word synergy much. I like saying it, yeah, no, I'm here for that one. And then finally, move the needle a phrase that needs to go, Oh, we're moving the needle. You think, so, oh, even this conversation is moving the needle. Maybe maybe moving now in a notch. Maybe they're changing it. Well, it's either your it moves the needle or my favorite doesn't move the needle. And they say it's talking about making a significant impact, right, But I think I love it. It's like the perfect thing because there's so many times people are getting worked up about something or they think they have this big idea and it's like, guys, I don't know. That sounds like a lot of work for something that I really feel like doesn't move the needle. Yeah, it's about you know, using your resources in places that actually make a difference. And sometimes I think people overthink those situations. Absolutely. It's like, ah, you know, that sounds good, but is it really going to right. People love Yeah, like when it comes to ideas, creative ideas, people love saying them and thinking thinking of them. But it's like, okay, now, let's let's get down to brass tacks the execution of the idea and what is the end result going to be? Are you getting out of it what you put in? No? Well, then guess what the needle has not been? Are you trying to get a promotion? Right now? You're sounding more like a boss man over here. You know, I really I thought I'd be running this place by now, Amanda in the morning. I know, Amanda stills. Let's see, let's see Valley Service mechanical providing this. I thought i'd say it different. I did. I liked it. Okay, really got my attention. It's been gosh a little over a year since Taylor Swift and Joe Allwin called it quit, and there was just a lot of what really happened. Nobody really knew. Neither of them said much. She released her album and there was a couple of songs on there that alluded to different things. But for six years in their marriage or in their relationship, some of us actually thought, for a little bit, I thought they were engaged and maybe even quietly got married because they were so secretive about everything. And he sat down for his first interview and didn't confirm he de and I whether he listened to Taylor's new album, but just said I would hope that anyone and everyone could empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship. Went on to say how weird it was because they were so private and they focused on that relationship so much, and then all of a sudden it was public domain right after they called it off and everybody was talking about it. He basically said, there will always be the gap between what is known and what is said. Very well, say it's so true, absolutely So that interview, I came away from that thinking, you know what, I kind of like this guy, or at least there's no reason to hate him. No, you know, like you said, like, regardless of how famous they are, I think we can all agree that any breakup is difficult, no matter what the circumstances are, you know exactly. I hope he's okay Joe doing whatever it is he does. Did you see, by the way, right after she and Joe broke up. They is it Matty Healey or matt Heally? They call him Maddie Heally. Okay, I'm sure his name is Matthew, but I don't know. Well, Maddie is already engaged, he moved on, and he's he's got himself. Yeah, that was a quick one. Oh yalpal what did you see her as? She's like a supermodel of some kind. I just saw that the engagement ring was like a big black stone. I'm like, also very interesting charcoal. I'm not sure. Maybe maybe had his charcoal. I know, I have no IDEA big weekend at the box office, Disney and Pixar's Inside Out to breught in one hundred and fifty five million dollars, second highest opening weekend in a for a Pixar movie, just behind Incredibles, two biggest of the year so far, and also since Barbie. I'm so out of the loop with kids movies. Inside to me, inside Out will always be the name of a popular Eve six song. And you know how close I am with Eve six? You guys are I mean, aren't you opening up for them in a couple of weeks tour? Yeah? Probably wonder why we were playing Billy Cyrus. This is just too good not to talk about. He is going through a divorce, which is so sad. They've been together. I think they were only married like seven months eleven times. That's a good run. That's a long time to be married. But this woman, her name is fire Rose, is now I'm sorry her name is fire Rose. One word one word was making names up? What is this? I don't know. Ask her parents. I don't know why her name is fire Rose. But I will tell you this. The girl in knows how to spend some money. In a matter of sixteen days between mart May twenty third and June seventh, she charged up almost a one hundred thousand dollars on his credit card, Jace fire Rose. And it wasn't just like one thing she bought, it was just transaction after transaction. She didn't have the authority to do so, so he granted an emergency were shrining order she sent. We're still married, it's not finalized, so it's her money, fire Rose. More like fire hose. The way she's spraying money all over Call her fire hose. What it was really bad? Yeah, well and I'll be winners. Stick trending. Now here's what you need to know. Well, Happy Joe's Pizza and ice Cream Parlor announced that it is going to be coming soon, and everybody was wondering where it was going to be located. It will be on forty fifth Street, and from what I'm understanding, it'll be right behind kind of the Holiday where Smiling Moose Delian all of that is. Oh, on the old South side of the Interstate. Yes, but I don't think it's going to be a din in restaurant, is what I'm understanding. Same here. My sources tell me that it will just be delivery and pick up only, which kind of loses its luster a little bit. I mean it is like that. I mean, listen, the pizza is delicious, of course, but the part of the experience was just being in there, you know, with the games and just the old school vibe. Yeah, but I don't think you're ever going to get that old school vibe at a new location. Yeah, exactly. But either way, it's coming back and bring on the taco pizza, Oh some of the best. Both Biden and Trump campaigns are agreeing on the new rules for the first presidential debate. This is what's going to go down, So they are going to have to have a coin flip to determine who's going to start. I just I love that, even at that high level, it's all settled by the flip of a coin, so good. Microphones will be turned off during the ninety minute debate except for when each candidate has their turn to speak, so that'll be interesting to see how that goes down. There will not be an audience, so I think that'll kind of help, so there's no booing in whoin and whatever else. They can't interact the campaign staff at all with the candidates until after the debate, so that'll be interesting. This will all go down on June twenty seventh in Atlanta. I think I'm here for that, so they won't be interrupting each other at all. That's just like such a it's supposed to be just shocking, a stark contrast of what any debate we've ever seen. I think once I missed one, especially after watching the Republican debates last fall, because there were seven of them up on stage. I think it was and it was just I mean, at one point, I just have to just stop and go can we be done here? It's not just political debates that that bothers me. It's like any sports pregame show, radio show where there's just so many voices. It's just you can't have that many people talking. Yeah, you just be a little over the top. I mean, even for me, the two on this show is too many. If I had my druthers, you want a solo program, Is that what you want, because I'd be more than happy. You can do it, head on out of here, all right. People who want to renew their passports online rather than sending everything in the mail may have an opportunity to do so. So this online renewal program is open to the public, but it is a beta test right now, Okay, make it a little bit more convenient. For some reason, I feel like it is such a hassle to get a new passport, which is why I haven't. I just got one, and I was gonna say, you don't have to go to the DMV then, but you actually go to the post office to get your passport, yes, And I was so annoyed. So I go in there and I'm reading online like all the you know, procedures of getting it, and you have to for them to take your photo with like a stupid two thousand and two Internet webcam, you know, so you can bring your own photo. So I like figured out how to print a photo and got I came in there with the lit I'm sorry, did you just stressed out? Go? I figured out how to print a photo, like you didn't know how to print? I know what to print photo? Okay, it's pretty easy. Actually really made that out to me, Like my gosh, I had to go onto Google and say, how do you print a picture? But it has to be a small photo. You have to print it out so they can literally use that photo on the passport. So I shrunk down this tiny, little square photo of my ugly face. I bring it in there and I present it to the person working. I'm like, here's the photo, and she like literally scoffs and goes, that's way too big. And I'm talking like, this is like a two inch by two inch photo. I was wondering, like cause a three by five, I feel like, is usually as small, like a wallet, tiniest photo you ever saw. And she just couldn't believe how big it was. And so she's like, well, we gotta take your picture. It's gonna be thirty dollars. Take your picture at you out of your mind, and so she takes it. When I get the passport, I sort of got if that photo wasn't a millimeter or smaller than the photo, I'd print it. But you gets really just got to quint the scheme going here, don't you. I'm just glad that you learned. Honestly, For me, i'd probably have to google how to get a picture that's small. It's nearly imbossible. Some say it couldn't be done, but I proved them wrong. Oh gosh, all right, gonna be cloudy. Today's chances of rain high of seventy five, like in a minute in the morning on Big Nutty eight points seven? Can you already believe that next month the Summer Olympics are here? Twenty twenty four? Baby, yeah, it's everyone though, Now tell you like July twenty six, it kicks off. Okay. Nevertheless, I'm just saying, where do you take It's too early to talk about it. No, when people will say it's in July, I was just anticipating, like right after the fourth of July. But it really is more of the August Games than July. Okay, just audition, you know, we hear a lot about the intimacy that goes on at the Olympics, because you know, there's thousands of athletes, it's not just the handful that you actually know, and that goes to show like how hard it is to make money as an Olympian. There's just so many of them, you know, but it's like a select few that actually truly are thriving, you know. Yeah, it was interesting to me. The sleeping quarters. You would just think, I mean, at best you would just have a normal bed like a hotel. But the amount of people that are sleeping on cots at the Olympic village is wild. Dum. Imagine you're the top of the world at the sport or at whatever it is you do, and all you want to do is go home and sleep in your own bed, Like that's nonsense. There's termite hockey teams in Fargo that have better sleeping arrangements, but the amount of food that they have to make for the Olympics, d at the Olympic, whatever you call it, is incredible. So I wouldn't even think about that because what is his name, Oh my gosh, Michael, Michael Phelps. That was I mean, that had gone viral and we did it years ago where we tried to eat his breakfast that he eats every single day between three of us at the time, and couldn't even finish it. It was an insane amount of pancakes, bread, sausage. I mean, because, yes, swimming like that burns a lot of calories, and that's all he does. He's just swimming all day. So you have to keep up in order to maintain any muscle by eating just constantly. Which is it might sound fun like if you ever tried any I guess the answer is probably no, but I'll ask anyway. I mean, have you ever tried bulking? Well? For the first thirty eight years of my life, I was trying to bulk up, and I was doing real good. Now I'm trying to d bl You're doing a great job of de bulking. I've noticed you've lost quite a bit of lean muscle mouse, But hey, that's if that's your preference, then more power to you. But I've tried where I've tried, like loading up the calories and eating. But you have to eat clean if you're going to bulk. I can't just see you like junk. No, there's a whole science behind me. You don't have to do anything, I guess, but it's very uncomfortable to be eating that much. I'd almost rather eat none. I've always wondered how he was able to eat so much and then go swim, even if you're waiting for a half hour by If you think Michael Pelpas is waiting the thirty of course you got it. Because even if they have a lifeguarden, they do at the Olympics. Yeah, but you're doing the butterfly on a full belly of food? Are you kidding me? Uh, couldn't imagine. I would be side egche Central. Okay, i e Central taking a trip to sideache down. Well, Manda, you know that for the food at the Olympics, they have to provide three million bananas. I could say that's a good go to food. Hang on on, that's a lot of bananas. Trying to one up your line, thank you, Yeah, that's a ton of bananas. They only Actually it's funny because it's all local food from France, where the Olympics are. But there are three things they get from other countries is one of them? Okay, they get coffee from other countries and also chocolate. What do you think they get that Colombia the chocolate. Yeah, no, I bet the coffee comes from Columbia, but I'm guessing Switzerland for the chocolate. That's a good gas. That's a good gas. No, No, I don't know us of a. I have no idea, But just in general, does it break down like what the meals are, because isn't it twenty four to seven? If I remember Peyton Otterdal he was a shot putter and he went to the Olympic Games, I think it was four years ago, and we would FaceTime with him or whatever. We had him on the show a few times, and it's like a twenty four to seven cafeteria basically going through there's two food food items that you won't find at the Olympic village. French fries because they they say that the risk of having a deep fryer is too risky with that many people there. And then avocados. No avocados because they'd have to be imported from so far away and they require so much water to grow, you know, maintain avocado toast though would be fair. Obviously they're so good, but they're also very like it's just hard to get them right. I was gonna say if you were to get a whole ton of avocados, probably a third of them would be good, especially how even like a bag of them goes. You're like, are you a kidding me? You can't get a bag? You just can't. Nothing makes me happier though, when you slide into an avocado, open that up and it's perfect. I mean, you might as well just go get a lottery ticket. Let me ask you exactly. I'm with you. How do you cut an avocado? Do you cut it in half, like around the belly, or do you cut it down the you know what I'm saying, like the shape of an avocado? Do you cut it around like the equator of the earth, or do you go down the you're going the long ways? You're going a long way. I'm going long ways. You don't cut it in the middle. I see I do, and my wife also criticizes me for that. Yeah, that is insane behavior. Well, I don't know, that's like eating You don't have a whole banana, Like, no, it's not like eating the whole. I'm not saying I eat it all. That's how I cut it, Amanda. As the saying goes, there's a lot of ways to skin a cat or in this case, see that's insane behavior. And Amanda in the morning on SIG seven, Well, wedding season is in full swing. I was just talking to my buddy yesterday. How you know we've sort of grown out of now the age where you have a gazillion weddings every summer, because that is brutal. Two or three years ago, I swear you had a wedding ye every single week. I mean, it was insane mid to late twenties. I mean, it's just yeah, and then you're in a lot of them. You know, it's because you're good. Good friends are getting married and so you're like just in financial ruin renting Texas tuxas, hotel rooms, you know what I mean. But listen, it's all for the greater cause, and it's a beautiful thing getting married. I in fact, dj a wedding this weekend. It was a lovely of fair Amanda, but it was a private residence and so they really did great work getting it ready for a wedding. And there's so much work that goes into weddings, not just for the couple but for the family. And that's crazy. This couple has gone viral for the set of rules they've laid out for their wedding, okay, and so rule number one is everybody helps out, which, like I said, there's a lot of work, and it really is not just a couple like you know, you see aunts, grandparents, like helping putting chairs away, setting up the table pieces. It's decorations, all of it, and it's wild a lot of these venues after the wedding or whatever event it is, and then you have to take everything down, like you you've had this beautiful day, and then you don't want the bride and groom to be sitting there taking down everything because they're supposed to, you know, enjoy their evening. Absolutely, but a lot of times it is it's like pulling down everything, making sure because it's turn and burn. Like the next day there's another event. Absolutely yeah. And sometimes don't you see it though where in bridezilla is a term for a reason. But there are times where I get you are getting married, it is your day, but like, let's not be so I don't know if demanding the word, but like just expecting everybody to be doing all these errors everything and for the most part, people want to help, you know, that's just what they do. But sometimes i've seen it. Definitely get okay, you're not You're not like a just for a day. You're not just a celebrity that we're supposed to be, just like wiping your feet, you know, like we all get married. You know, it's rule number two for this couple's wedding. Everybody only gets two drinks for a couple of reasons, only to save money on the bar tab. And then also so there's no drunken family drama to drink. Why don't you Okay, So first of all, you can do the two drinks if that's on the house or paid for. But this is they're shutting it down nobody else, nobody can have any more. That's the rule, two drinks per person. Now, if you're from a small town, you know that's not gonna stop anybody from going out to the truck and hanging out there for a bit. Right, what do you got hid you're drinking coffee and a coffee Mugget ten p up? What's going on there? To drinks? But jeez, none of these guys could even say his sentence. And rule number three respect the seat assignment. Now you hear that, just like Okay, that's fair, right, Yeah, I made a seat not he designment for a reason. But they went on in more detail in that you are literally not supposed to leave your seat unless you're going to the bathroom or getting a drink. That's the rule. Is that too much? Yeah? But also it's you think that's just common sense when you should be standing, getting up and doing at a wedding. Well, right, those are times you would, but you're not allowed to just get up and and go get your legs out, chat with somebody. Yeah, exactly, go over to it for a table. It's also a socializing situation for a lot of people. I mean, I get during like speeches because people are so disrespectful during the speeches. And I get if you're just there at the wedding just to have fun and support the couple. You don't necessarily care about the best man's speech or the bridesmaid who goes on do they do? And for that person, like, there's a good chance that will be the only time they ever get to give a best man speech, And so could you just for five minutes be quiet? Then I think you go back to see rule number two, where it's only two drinks so people are probably more respectful of that. And I mean, if it's me, I'm gonna be waiting until a little later on to have a a cocktail. Are you gonna have two right away? Yeah? If you're only allowed to, why what are you waiting for the other one? If I'm gonna yeah, I think I'm gonna have two right away. I'm just gonna slam them and then just kind of open sticks. I mean, and how do they present these rules? That's the other thing. That's the thing that bothers me too. They have they chiseled them in the stone tablets like the flintstones. I don't know that there one of those planes, the big banner behind it. That's what I question though, because if are you getting an email? Is it on their wedding website? I mean, how annoying is it if somebody is giving you rules. I'm simply just gonna be like, God, I know, how much would you have to like a person to be able to put up with this. I have a cousin getting married and we are not going to the wedding just because it's uh, it's far. It's it's far. It's not at my house. Yeah, it's beautiful. It's in Wisconsin. It's it would be a lot for me to make this work. It's over Labor Day weekend. There's a lot of things going on. That's fine, planning to send a gift and wish her the best. But on her wedding invite it did say something like no floral, Like no, women can't wear floral really, something like don't be bringing all your flowers. Nope. It was not to wear floral. And I just kind of thought, that's that's a that's a weird thing. I don't like that stuff, you know, correct, Like I get the underlying don't wear white, totally get shure, you just know, but not wearing floral. What is it a floral wedding or what. I don't know, but it was. It was on the invite, and I'll be honest, it annoyed me. Yeah, I hope somebody shows up wearing just full floral, like one of those power crowds. Ye take it. A minuta in the morning, seven gross today, cloudy, high seventy five. You know, despite that, Amanda, how we feel? We feeling good. It's Monday, We got a fresh week ahead, so many possibilities. I'm trying to be inspirational. No, I appreciate it. I feel good today. I'm glad it's Monday. We're going to waut to lunch at Blarney Stone, one of her favorite things to do on a Monday. I know, I feel like everybody. Last week we got to sit on the patio. Hopefully it doesn't rain before that. Get a little patio over there, little what he made of sugar. Well, rain never hurt anybody. Here's a question, as as a dog owner you, Amanda, would you give your pet ozembic if your pet was struggling with weight issues. I mean, it'd have to be like a life or death situation. Otherwise you just figure out their food situation, cut like, keep it more active, taken for more walks, whatever it may be. Okay, yeah, this is kind of a hard no for me. But you give it to a human, I mean, to each their own, I guess if you want to. Yeah, I mean, but if it's safe for don't you ever you have ever given your dog a human medication? Because I know people who give their dog like sleeping pills, dras it, things like that. What for anxiety? Yeah, or to knock them out? Yeah? No, uh, I had a boxer and got bit by something and had a little breakout. So I remember giving a little beno drill. But that's yeah, that's probably the most human thing I've ever given. But you draw the line at ozembic because I kind of feel like that's a noll. Well, I don't know if you'll be able to hear us up on your high horse. Oh stop it. I'd like to share that pharmaceuticals are currently working on adapting a ozembic like drug for pets that's currently in a pilot study, and they say that, you know, even cats and dogs who have weight issues can experience the same complications as humans. See, And that's what I this is why I'm like, i'd need to be convinced. Of course, i'd have the vet explained to me if it was a life or death situation. Otherwise, just like in real life, it's like you're gonna do your best to try to not give them that you just like overweight animals. There is something about like a fat cat, fat cat, Yeah Garfield, It I mean that's just and you know you don't have to wonder why he had so much weight. I don't really remember Garfield. I'm not gonna lie, what was it? Okay, you brought it up. I know what. Why was he so overweight? Garfield? The sheer amount of lazania the cat res eating like a crazy amount. He'd eat the whole pan. I forgot about that. And yeah, talk about giving animals human things. I don't think lazania is made for cats last I checked. So how that guy John I think was his name, was allowed to have that cat? So I say this, but I had going back to the boxer that I had adopted back in the day, the like hip displasia is something that a lot of boxers get. And I remember taking my boxer to like a place where they would do the chiropractic treatments and things like that. So people thought that was kind of weird. That is kind of weird. So they just get hip display like most of them. There's so many things with pets like that, how each breed and each free to get down this rabbit hole of problems with pets. But great danes. I know my wife would love to have a great dane. Loves the idea of this big, huge dog. But don't they die after like six years? I think it depends, like, oh it does there's not a hard date that they all vanish. Some of them have a longer life, shorter life expectancy, boxers one of them. I had a golden doodle. I have another one, and I thought that that would have a lot different life expectancy. Unfortunately, we lost Veno at what seven, which was just devastating. Man. Yeah, it was almost a year ago, now, right, that was that was a sad day, a sad day. That was a good dog. And now you got another good dog. He yeah, what do you mean, what do you mean is it not a good dog? You weren't very confident, you don't have a good boy. Or Lula is a good girl. Yeah, she she ran away yesterday. And in my head when when you said that, I envisioned my husband losing his mind, like no, because he was chasing her around the Neighborhood's so funny. So that is hilarious to me. I was like a TV show, like it's a good dog, right, and then it pauses and showed you have like a thought bubble, Yeah, thinking about the horrible things your dog is done. You go, yes, just ate one of Sydney's shoes last week. I mean, there's been a few things that crossed my mind. But overall, yes, Lula, good girl, good god. Oh by the way, great day. Life expectancy eight to ten years. So I don't want to have any dog. It doesn't matter though they're just so hard, it's so heartbreaking. Well, you know they're gonna if they're gonna be alive, they're gonna be loved right either way. So whether you know so, go get a great day. And that's what I'm saying.
