- 1:53Speaker 3: type in your username, email address, and password, and then
- 1:58Speaker 3: we could say welcome to the family, as we do
- 2:02Speaker 3: that in the wife chat, and love to hold each
- 2:05Speaker 3: other accountable, keep each other on that narrow path. You know,
- 2:09Speaker 3: the Bible says that iron sharpens iron, and yes, we
- 2:12Speaker 3: do need that fellowship. I'll be the first one to
- 2:15Speaker 3: say that I need y'all. You know, I need my brothers.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I need my sisters to pray for me and to
- 2:21Speaker 3: help me stay on that narrow path. And we are
- 2:26Speaker 3: constantly supposed to renew our minds daily and make sure
- 2:30Speaker 3: that we are lining up with God's words. So help
- 2:35Speaker 3: us build up our unline community, build up the family
- 2:40Speaker 3: and the Body of Christ together. And as we do
- 2:44Speaker 3: all that, let's go ahead and go before our Father
- 2:48Speaker 3: in prayer. Family. Father, we come before you today, Father God,
- 2:55Speaker 3: and we ask Father God, Oh Lord, for your grace,
- 2:58Speaker 3: for your mercy, O God, for your hand to be
- 3:00Speaker 3: on the podcast today. We ask Father God, Oh Lord,
- 3:04Speaker 3: that you will Father God Lord, touch every ear, touch
- 3:07Speaker 3: every heart, Father, Oh Lord, draw us in by your love,
- 3:11Speaker 3: Father God, Oh Lord, allow us to realize and know
- 3:13Speaker 3: that we are your children and you are calling us home. Father.
- 3:18Speaker 3: We asked that you will defeat every army, every enemy,
- 3:21Speaker 3: Father God, every adversary that is against us. For if
- 3:25Speaker 3: God be for us, who can be against us? And
- 3:28Speaker 3: we asked this in Jesus' name. Amen? All right, Oh,
- 3:38Speaker 3: I pushed your on button. I meant to turn the
- 3:40Speaker 3: music off. We were praying, but sorry, we got some
- 3:44Speaker 3: extra rhythm in that prayer. So as I said that
- 3:50Speaker 3: we are in Jeremiah chapter ten, verse eleven. Now this
- 3:56Speaker 3: message is a message to Judah. But in all honesty,
- 4:02Speaker 3: we all need to hear this. We need to hear
- 4:05Speaker 3: this loud and clear. Right now, let's start at verse
- 4:11Speaker 3: a lesson. Now listen to this thus say it? Shall
- 4:16Speaker 3: you say unto them the gods that have not made
- 4:21Speaker 3: the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from
- 4:25Speaker 3: the earth and from under the heavens. Wow. Now this
- 4:32Speaker 3: verse is a direct contrast, right, God speaking through Jeremiah
- 4:40Speaker 3: to say that these false gods that they worship, the
- 4:45Speaker 3: ones that they did not have any part in creating
- 4:53Speaker 3: the heavens and earth. Right, they don't have the power
- 4:57Speaker 3: to create anything, and they don't have the power to
- 5:00Speaker 3: destroy anything. These guys that they created are about to disappear.
- 5:07Speaker 3: They have no substance, they have no future. There is
- 5:12Speaker 3: no point in worshiping these gods. Now, it's HiT's different
- 5:17Speaker 3: because when we worship anything that doesn't create us money, status,
- 5:26Speaker 3: likes on social media, relationships or betting knows something that
- 5:32Speaker 3: cannot deliver us as well. It's all temporary. But the
- 5:40Speaker 3: God who made the heavens and the earth that's eternally,
- 5:45Speaker 3: that is real power. He is the one that can
- 5:50Speaker 3: deliver us and help us and save us. Verse twelve.
- 5:59Speaker 3: He's made the earth and his power. He has established
- 6:05Speaker 3: the world by his wisdom and has stretched out the
- 6:10Speaker 3: heavens by his discretion. Now God reminds his people here
- 6:17Speaker 3: that he is the creative, that he has the creative power. Right,
- 6:26Speaker 3: this is not just poetry, it's reality. It's a reality check. God,
- 6:34Speaker 3: the God of Israel, didn't just make a few things.
- 6:37Speaker 3: He made everything but the capital e. He made the earth,
- 6:43Speaker 3: the world, the heavens, all by his wisdom and all
- 6:50Speaker 3: by his very own power. Now, when you understand that,
- 6:56Speaker 3: you stop being impressed by man made idols. Right, we
- 7:01Speaker 3: stop getting impressed by things that men try to accomplish
- 7:06Speaker 3: and puff themselves up about, right, Like, I mean, I
- 7:10Speaker 3: think it's great to acknowledge somebody, But you get to
- 7:14Speaker 3: the point like, okay, you want to gramy Like wow,
- 7:18Speaker 3: Like what's that really gonna do for you? Oh? You
- 7:20Speaker 3: want to oscar? Oh you got a million dollars? Like
- 7:23Speaker 3: at the end of the day, how is that going
- 7:26Speaker 3: to help you in all eternity? Now? Think about it.
- 7:29Speaker 3: If God can stretch out the heavens, can establish the
- 7:33Speaker 3: worlds by wisdom, and he can create the earth by power,
- 7:41Speaker 3: what's he not able to do in our lives? Right now?
- 7:49Speaker 3: When we lose a consciousness, consciousness of God's power, we
- 7:52Speaker 3: start creating little guys to feel the void. Now. Remember
- 7:57Speaker 3: we were created to worship. We're gonna worship something, all right?
- 8:10Speaker 3: All right, back, there was a wife calling into the podcast?
- 8:17Speaker 3: All right? So where was I? When we understand that
- 8:22Speaker 3: God is the only power that matters, that we stop
- 8:25Speaker 3: being impressed with the accomplishments of men. Men who want
- 8:31Speaker 3: to idolize themselves and make themselves something great, right, put
- 8:36Speaker 3: themselves on a pedestal Verse thirteen, When he uttereth his voice.
- 8:47Speaker 3: There is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and
- 8:52Speaker 3: he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of
- 8:57Speaker 3: the earth. He maketh like mean rain and bring it
- 9:01Speaker 3: forth the wind out of his treasuries. Wow, now this
- 9:10Speaker 3: is this right here is describing God's control over nature itself.
- 9:17Speaker 3: When God speaks thunder, rain, lightning, when all of that
- 9:22Speaker 3: obeys his amazing voice. Amen. Now this is showing the
- 9:28Speaker 3: absolute sovereignty of God, our creator. Nothing moves without his word, right,
- 9:36Speaker 3: nothing can do anything without his permission. Just think about it.
- 9:42Speaker 3: The enemy can't even attack us without getting permission from
- 9:47Speaker 3: God first. That is power, that is authority. God doesn't
- 9:54Speaker 3: negotiate with nature. He doesn't ask the wind for permission.
- 9:59Speaker 3: He just speaks and it happens. But here's the thing.
- 10:08Speaker 3: That's how God operates in the natural world. Imagine what
- 10:13Speaker 3: He can do in this spiritual realm, in your life,
- 10:17Speaker 3: in your circumstances. He is not limited at all. We
- 10:22Speaker 3: may be limited, but He's not. And this is encouraging
- 10:26Speaker 3: me because I'm going through something. I'm going through a
- 10:30Speaker 3: circumstance myself and just reflecting on how mighty and how
- 10:35Speaker 3: powerful God is is beautiful. Amen. Now every man is
- 10:44Speaker 3: brutish in verse fourteen. And his knowledge, every founder is
- 10:52Speaker 3: confound by the graven image, for his molten image is falsehood.
- 10:59Speaker 3: And there there is no breath in them. Now here's
- 11:05Speaker 3: where it gets convicting. Every person who makes idols, carved images,
- 11:12Speaker 3: molten images, they're operating in spiritual darkness. Right. They think
- 11:19Speaker 3: that they're wise, but they're actually foolish. And the idols,
- 11:24Speaker 3: they are lives as well. They have no life, They
- 11:30Speaker 3: have no breath, they have no power. There is no
- 11:34Speaker 3: breath in them. That is the key phrase right there.
- 11:37Speaker 3: An idol can't breathe life into anything. It can't give
- 11:43Speaker 3: you purpose, It cannot give you peace or power. The
- 11:48Speaker 3: idol is dead. It's dead. But when we chase after
- 11:55Speaker 3: dead things, dead dreams, dead relationships, dead pursuits, we become
- 12:01Speaker 3: spiritually dead ourselves. We need something with breath. We need
- 12:10Speaker 3: the living and the true God. Amen. Verse fifteen. They
- 12:20Speaker 3: are vanity in the works of errors. In the time
- 12:25Speaker 3: of their visitation, they shall perish. Now vanity emphasizes works
- 12:35Speaker 3: of errors built on lies. And in the time of
- 12:43Speaker 3: that visitation, they shall perish. When God comes to judge,
- 12:49Speaker 3: these idols will be destroyed. They have an expiration day.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I even had a shirt is something that one of
- 13:01Speaker 3: my lyrics, right, Sin has an expiration date. I have
- 13:05Speaker 3: a shirt in the his hot shop on the app
- 13:08Speaker 3: was Satan getting arrested like by an angel, and it
- 13:15Speaker 3: says that I have a verse from the Book of Revelation.
- 13:20Speaker 3: It says that Sin has an expiration date, and it
- 13:23Speaker 3: shows Satan himself getting arrested. Now, everything that is built
- 13:35Speaker 3: outside of Guy's kingdom has an expiration date. Our career,
- 13:41Speaker 3: our looks, our money, our followers. They're all temporary, all
- 13:50Speaker 3: subject to judgment. Just think about it. But when you
- 13:55Speaker 3: build with God, that is eternal. That's what last. As
- 14:01Speaker 3: a question is what are you building on your own?
- 14:08Speaker 3: As you said in the last podcast, you know what
- 14:11Speaker 3: I mean? Where are you storing your treasures up? And
- 14:17Speaker 3: last night I just had some time to kick back
- 14:20Speaker 3: and watch a little bit of Netflix and watched the
- 14:25Speaker 3: show about hip Hop turning fifty right and how they're
- 14:29Speaker 3: creating a hip hop museum and they're getting all these
- 14:32Speaker 3: artifacts and majority of the artists that they were searching
- 14:38Speaker 3: for were gone. They were like passed away. I remember
- 14:43Speaker 3: these are like some of my childhood heroes that I
- 14:45Speaker 3: used to listen to, and they're finding their books or
- 14:50Speaker 3: rhymes and they're finding different artifacts. Just think, one day,
- 14:56Speaker 3: your stuff, my stuff will be artifacts. Right the notes
- 15:01Speaker 3: that we've just got down. We don't think about the
- 15:03Speaker 3: jackets we wear, the clothes we buy. One day we'll
- 15:07Speaker 3: be a memory in a closet right for our kids
- 15:12Speaker 3: to go through. And then they're not the hottest thing
- 15:18Speaker 3: right now as far as their music, you know what
- 15:20Speaker 3: I mean. They're not uh on tour or they're not
- 15:24Speaker 3: you know, people are not coming to their concerts. Well,
- 15:27Speaker 3: of course I'm not. I'm the ones who are dead can't.
- 15:29Speaker 3: But I'm just singing artists like h ohkau Jay, those
- 15:33Speaker 3: who are still alive, they're not necessarily big in these generations,
- 15:40Speaker 3: in this generation like they were when we were coming up.
- 15:43Speaker 3: So the point I'm trying to make is how futile
- 15:47Speaker 3: and how temporary this life truly is. Now I choose
- 15:52Speaker 3: to build his hot nation, and I'm building it under
- 15:57Speaker 3: the name of Jesus, and every person that his hot
- 16:03Speaker 3: Nation will touch will go into eternity, and we get
- 16:10Speaker 3: to become a part of a lasting legacy because it's
- 16:15Speaker 3: built on the Gospel, is built on Christ. Only what
- 16:20Speaker 3: we do for Christ will last Amen verse sixteen. Now
- 16:27Speaker 3: the portion of Jacob is not like them, for He
- 16:31Speaker 3: is the former of all things, and Israel is the
- 16:36Speaker 3: ride of his inheritance. The Lord of Hosts is his name.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Now this is a contrast right here, Jacob Israel has
- 16:50Speaker 3: a different inheritance, not idols, not emptiness, but a relationship
- 16:56Speaker 3: with the God who formed all things. Right, God chose
- 17:02Speaker 3: Israel as his inheritance, and he is the Lord of
- 17:09Speaker 3: host the God of all power, in the God of
- 17:13Speaker 3: all the authority. Right now, listen to this. If you're
- 17:20Speaker 3: in Christ, you are a part of spiritual Israel. As
- 17:26Speaker 3: it says in the New Testament, your inheritance isn't in
- 17:30Speaker 3: things things on this earth. Our inheritance is in Him. Right.
- 17:37Speaker 3: You're not in accidents, you're not random, you are not
- 17:44Speaker 3: just somebody's mistake. You're His chosen inheritance, the God of
- 17:52Speaker 3: all hosts, all power, all authority. He claims you. Now
- 17:59Speaker 3: that right there changes everything. That is why we have
- 18:04Speaker 3: so many haters. That's why the enemy tries so hard
- 18:08Speaker 3: to destroy us. Because God has chosen us we are
- 18:16Speaker 3: His chosen people Verse seventeen. Gather up thy waivers out
- 18:27Speaker 3: of the land, or thy wears out of the land, Oh,
- 18:31Speaker 3: inhabitant of the fortresses. But thus says the Lord, behold,
- 18:38Speaker 3: I will sling out and inhabitants. I will sling out
- 18:42Speaker 3: the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will
- 18:48Speaker 3: distress them that they may find it so all right,
- 18:53Speaker 3: I know it sounds a little confusing, but let's break
- 18:55Speaker 3: this down right now. God is warning Judah that judgment
- 19:00Speaker 3: is coming. They need to gather their possessions and prepare
- 19:06Speaker 3: for exile. This is not a gentle warning right here,
- 19:13Speaker 3: This is a reality check. God will swing out the inhabitants.
- 19:20Speaker 3: That means distress is coming. Now. This is what happens
- 19:25Speaker 3: when a nation, when a people turns away from God.
- 19:30Speaker 3: And as we read this, I hope and pray that
- 19:34Speaker 3: you are praying for the United States of America that
- 19:37Speaker 3: we are praying for this country. Consequences come not because
- 19:45Speaker 3: God is cruel, but because God is a holy God.
- 19:50Speaker 3: He cannot tolerate sin forever. He cannot allow us to
- 19:56Speaker 3: get away with sin forever. He has to judge it. Now.
- 20:04Speaker 3: He gives warnings but if we don't repent, judgment will come.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I hope we're paying attention. I hope our community, our
- 20:14Speaker 3: neighborhoods are paying attention. Amen. Now here's a question. Are
- 20:22Speaker 3: we listening to God's warning in our own lives? Are
- 20:26Speaker 3: we listening to the voice of God as he tells
- 20:31Speaker 3: us We need to be faithful, as he tells us,
- 20:34Speaker 3: we need to find a home church and submit to
- 20:36Speaker 3: a godly leader. As he tells us, we need to
- 20:40Speaker 3: lead our families and raise our children as men. As
- 20:43Speaker 3: we tell our wives to be submissive to our husbands.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Right verse eighteen, woe is me from my hurt. My
- 20:54Speaker 3: wounds is grievous, But I said, truly, this is grief
- 21:01Speaker 3: and I must bear it. Now. This is Jeremiah's own
- 21:08Speaker 3: lament right here. He's grieving for his people. That's why
- 21:14Speaker 3: they call him the weeping Prophet. Right he knows what's coming, captivity, destruction,
- 21:22Speaker 3: and his heart is broken, but he also accepts it.
- 21:29Speaker 3: He knows that God's judgment is just, even though it hurts.
- 21:36Speaker 3: He is a just God. Right now, this is maturity
- 21:41Speaker 3: on his part. Jeremiah is not angry at God. He
- 21:47Speaker 3: doesn't deny the consequences at all. He's saying that this hurts,
- 21:54Speaker 3: but I understand God is righteous, and I accept this judgment.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Now that's a posture that we need. We need not denial.
- 22:09Speaker 3: We need not to deny. We don't need to sit
- 22:13Speaker 3: here and blame shift, but accept. Right, we need to
- 22:19Speaker 3: accept God's justice in a willingness to bear the consequences
- 22:25Speaker 3: of our choices. We need to allow God to correct us,
- 22:29Speaker 3: to chasten us. And that's the whole point of the
- 22:33Speaker 3: accountability partner on this segment, is that we keep ourselves
- 22:37Speaker 3: out of trouble. If we can keep ourselves out of trouble,
- 22:40Speaker 3: God will not have to punish us. Amen. Verse nineteen.
- 22:48Speaker 3: My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken.
- 22:53Speaker 3: My children are gone forth from me, and they are not.
- 22:59Speaker 3: There is none to stretch forth my tent anymore and
- 23:05Speaker 3: to set up my curtains. Now, this imagery here is
- 23:13Speaker 3: devastating right because the tabernacle, the place of God's presence,
- 23:17Speaker 3: is destroyed. It says that the cords are broken, the
- 23:23Speaker 3: children are gone, there is no one left to rebuild.
- 23:30Speaker 3: This is total spiritual and national collapse right here, that
- 23:35Speaker 3: the nation went through When we turn from God, everything
- 23:42Speaker 3: we build falls apart. Family. Our family structure will break down.
- 23:53Speaker 3: If we do it our way in that God's waymmunities
- 24:00Speaker 3: will scatter the presence of God. The tabernacle became distant, right,
- 24:08Speaker 3: it becomes distant. But look at the attitude that people
- 24:12Speaker 3: have about church today. It's like there's no reverence. They
- 24:17Speaker 3: can just take it and leave it. Right, This isn't
- 24:24Speaker 3: what God wants from us. God does not want to
- 24:31Speaker 3: judge us. He wants to redeem us. He wants his
- 24:35Speaker 3: church to stand up to prevent all judgment. Right up
- 24:45Speaker 3: right where back had to check on the wife. She's
- 24:48Speaker 3: getting a tire replaced on the car, having some tire issues.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Lift her up in prayer, all right? Verse twenty four.
- 24:56Speaker 3: The pastors are become brutish and have not sought the Lord.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Therefore they shall not prosper, and their flocks shall be scattered.
- 25:08Speaker 3: While it's one thing to be in the leadership and
- 25:13Speaker 3: you're leading the people astray, you're held more accountable. Right.
- 25:20Speaker 3: The pastor is the spiritual guide. To have become brutish,
- 25:24Speaker 3: that means that they have lost their spiritual sensitivity. They
- 25:28Speaker 3: have sought the Lord. I mean they have not sought
- 25:31Speaker 3: the Lord. Because of that, they won't pastor and their
- 25:37Speaker 3: flocks will scatter. This is a direct in the indication
- 25:44Speaker 3: or and I mean, where what am I looking for? Indictment?
- 25:51Speaker 3: This is a direct indictment of spiritual leadership that has
- 25:55Speaker 3: abandoned God. We cannot lead if we don't seek after God.
- 26:02Speaker 3: We don't know how to seek after him. If we
- 26:05Speaker 3: don't know how to cry out to Him, then we
- 26:12Speaker 3: are not able to lead. Amen. Now this hits hard
- 26:20Speaker 3: for anyone that is in ministry. If pastors, leaders or teachers,
- 26:25Speaker 3: if we stop seeking God, stop being intentional about our walk,
- 26:34Speaker 3: we lose our authority and our people will scatter. Our
- 26:38Speaker 3: influence will die. But it's not just for pastors though,
- 26:43Speaker 3: It's for parents and mentors, for everyone leading others. If
- 26:49Speaker 3: we're not seeking God daily, your leadership is compromised, Your
- 26:54Speaker 3: influence is hollow. We need to seek Him first. Amen.
- 27:03Speaker 3: All right, I think right there, it's time for a break.
- 27:08Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 27:12Speaker 4: is the hiss hop radio show. You can't cancel me.
- 27:24Speaker 2: How y'all gonna stand for me?
- 27:26Speaker 3: You can't cancel me?
- 27:27Speaker 2: My gout gonna stand for me, do my dancing dance
- 27:31Speaker 2: to see God plans for me.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Do my dancing dance.
- 27:34Speaker 2: See God plans for me? Yeah, butt, y'all talk out
- 27:37Speaker 2: the truth. They try to stop at mind block out
- 27:40Speaker 2: of the lodge and I walk in the room.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I know you have y'all hand on me right when
- 27:43Speaker 3: I put.
- 27:43Speaker 2: It at won't they telling me it's another way? I
- 27:46Speaker 2: know it's only you. Like I'm at my father house,
- 27:48Speaker 2: I do want to find a safe and sitting inside
- 27:51Speaker 2: my boss keep trying to saparate and they keep throwing
- 27:54Speaker 2: them stones.
- 27:54Speaker 3: I bet they won't pay in the trade.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I don't want to follow my heart.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I just want to follow your way.
- 27:59Speaker 2: And you can't cancel me. My guy, go stand for me.
- 28:03Speaker 2: You can't cancel me, My guy.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Go stand for me. Do my dancing dance to.
- 28:07Speaker 2: See God playing to me.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Do my dancing dance.
- 28:10Speaker 2: See God plans for me.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Yeah, howp the wayne?
- 28:15Speaker 2: They try to stop it mind. I get the spirit
- 28:17Speaker 2: to feel at the state.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Know you had your eyes on me. I was trying
- 28:19Speaker 3: to hide away.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Save me from myself.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Superhero you okay.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Like I'm at my father.
- 28:25Speaker 2: House, I do what to find the safet sitting inside
- 28:27Speaker 2: my boss. He's trying to say for ray and they
- 28:30Speaker 2: keep throwing them stones. I bet they won't paying the trade.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I don't want to follow my heart. I just want
- 28:34Speaker 2: to follow old way. And you can't cancel me. My
- 28:37Speaker 2: guy goes stand for me. You can't cancel me, My
- 28:41Speaker 2: goy go stand for me. Do my dancing dance to
- 28:44Speaker 2: see God plans to me. Do my dancing dance to
- 28:47Speaker 2: see God plans for me.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Watch, Papa, you are listening to the Light of Las Vegas.
- 29:10Speaker 4: This is the hiss Hop radio show.
- 29:30Speaker 3: All right, all right, we are back. We are back.
- 29:33Speaker 3: That was Killer Jordans on the musical break. I want
- 29:37Speaker 3: to give a quick shout out to the live chat.
- 29:40Speaker 3: We appreciate you all for showing up. Shout out to
- 29:43Speaker 3: our brother's own three.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Uh.
- 29:45Speaker 3: He just hit me up because we had to play
- 29:47Speaker 3: a replay yesterday and as you can hear today, we're
- 29:52Speaker 3: dealing with some tire issues, so our podcast was a
- 29:56Speaker 3: little delayed. I had to play a replay. Yeah, we
- 30:03Speaker 3: went to a hole in the wall place and they
- 30:06Speaker 3: got us like the wrong size tires, Like the tires
- 30:09Speaker 3: are old and already ready to pop. And then we
- 30:12Speaker 3: paid like like one hundred dollars to this guy. And
- 30:18Speaker 3: I don't know what happened. My wife had ran over
- 30:20Speaker 3: something going to the airport and she popped a couple
- 30:23Speaker 3: of tires. So hopefully our tires are good. Now we
- 30:30Speaker 3: have to come out of pocket a little more, but
- 30:32Speaker 3: you know, we get some better tires on that thing,
- 30:34Speaker 3: and then after that we have to get an alignment done.
- 30:40Speaker 3: But anyway, with that being said, it is time for
- 30:43Speaker 3: the accountability partner segments. Now we just read about idols
- 30:52Speaker 3: in false guys. But let me ask you, what's your idol?
- 31:00Speaker 3: Where are you chasing that is not God? Right? Could
- 31:05Speaker 3: it be money? Could it be a person? Could it
- 31:09Speaker 3: be your phone? Could it be your career? Could there
- 31:12Speaker 3: be something that you're seeking after that is not the Lord,
- 31:19Speaker 3: our God that we dealt this on an other episode.
- 31:23Speaker 3: So this is kind of like part two, but we
- 31:25Speaker 3: really need to examine our hearts right now. But this
- 31:31Speaker 3: time I want you to name it. This time, I
- 31:34Speaker 3: want you to write it down. And when you find
- 31:39Speaker 3: and talk to your accountability partner, someone you trust, you
- 31:44Speaker 3: need to tell them not to shame you, but to
- 31:49Speaker 3: help you turn away from it. That's what accountability is
- 31:56Speaker 3: for we're not meant to do this alone, right, And
- 32:02Speaker 3: I've confessed before. You know, if I'm not careful, ministry
- 32:05Speaker 3: could be my idol. You know, I could be doing
- 32:10Speaker 3: podcasts all day, all night. I could DJ, I could
- 32:14Speaker 3: be doing concerts, recording music. I could do this until
- 32:19Speaker 3: the cows come home. But that wouldn't be good if
- 32:26Speaker 3: we do it and reglect our relationship with the Lord. Amen.
- 32:31Speaker 3: And I actually there was a period I wish it
- 32:36Speaker 3: wasn't you, but there was a period of time where
- 32:39Speaker 3: I was confronted where this ministry hits how it makes
- 32:43Speaker 3: you was an idol. I wanted to make it like
- 32:49Speaker 3: a legacy of my success instead of allowing it to
- 32:52Speaker 3: be what it is, a move of God. Amen. And
- 32:56Speaker 3: so I had to step out of the way. And
- 33:00Speaker 3: my only prayer is that God will still use me
- 33:04Speaker 3: and allow his will to be done as he intended
- 33:10Speaker 3: it originally. Man. All right. Also, we want to let
- 33:19Speaker 3: you know that his Hot Radio is a monitored and
- 33:21Speaker 3: a reporting radio station. If you have music, please send
- 33:27Speaker 3: it to us. We want to check it out. Go
- 33:29Speaker 3: to our website his Hot nation dot com and check
- 33:33Speaker 3: out some of our promo packages. Very affordable ways to
- 33:38Speaker 3: advertise on our network. Get your music out there. We
- 33:41Speaker 3: report to the charts, so we want to see your
- 33:44Speaker 3: music charting on his Hot radio charts. All right, now
- 33:53Speaker 3: it's trivia time. It's take trivia time. Get your fingers ready.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Shout out once again to our brother Zone three in
- 34:02Speaker 3: the live chat because he is a trivia champion. But
- 34:07Speaker 3: we're out there. We're searching for more challengers or people
- 34:11Speaker 3: who would like to tap in and see if you
- 34:17Speaker 3: can get the answer before Zone three can. Zone A.
- 34:22Speaker 3: He's actually, he's so cool. He'll give you an opportunity
- 34:25Speaker 3: to answer first, just to see what's out there and
- 34:29Speaker 3: see who you know what I'm saying. So, here's a question.
- 34:34Speaker 3: How many times is Jeremiah called the weeping prophet in
- 34:39Speaker 3: the Bible? How many times has Jeremiah been called the
- 34:49Speaker 3: weeping prophet in the Bible? And A, Well, actually, let
- 35:00Speaker 3: me give you some options to We'll actually let you
- 35:02Speaker 3: guess on that. First one to get it right is
- 35:07Speaker 3: the champ? All right, now, we want to give a
- 35:14Speaker 3: community shout out during this segment. We do want to
- 35:19Speaker 3: let you know that we are getting ready to do
- 35:26Speaker 3: our event this Saturday at the Juvenile Detention Center. We
- 35:35Speaker 3: will be in the house. We'll be working with the
- 35:37Speaker 3: NBA chaplains, we will be working with the inmates and
- 35:44Speaker 3: the staff over there at the juvenile detention Center. We're
- 35:48Speaker 3: gonna minister, We're gonna bring the word and we ask
- 35:50Speaker 3: for your prayers. Do you also have an event? We'll
- 35:53Speaker 3: we have to Resort Worlds in August. That's gonna be
- 35:57Speaker 3: coming up. So we hope this y'all there as well. Also,
- 36:07Speaker 3: we want to let you know that His Hot Mention
- 36:10Speaker 3: is a nonprofit organization. Our goal is to win our community.
- 36:16Speaker 3: We mentor the youth and the young adults. We disciple.
- 36:22Speaker 3: We teach them how to apply their gifts and their
- 36:27Speaker 3: talents with the nineteen in the direction of God and
- 36:32Speaker 3: his Holy Spirit. And so if you have an event
- 36:38Speaker 3: anything coming up, please let us know we love and
- 36:44Speaker 3: shout you out with that. That is my time, but
- 36:50Speaker 3: we're going to give some closing comments and we're going
- 36:53Speaker 3: to pray out together. Now this episode we went deep
- 36:59Speaker 3: into Jeremy chapter ten. If we talked about idols, talked
- 37:03Speaker 3: about God's power, talk about what happens when we turn away.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Now here's your challenge for the week. Identify one idol
- 37:15Speaker 3: in your life, one thing you're chasing that is not God,
- 37:22Speaker 3: and then replace it not with another idol, plus replace
- 37:29Speaker 3: it with God. Seek him daily, seek Him intentionally, Seek
- 37:36Speaker 3: to be intimate with your heavenly Father, a man and
- 37:43Speaker 3: the Father. We just want to come before you in
- 37:46Speaker 3: prayer and Father God, we ask once again, Lord to
- 37:51Speaker 3: take any idol away from us. God, and we are
- 37:54Speaker 3: pursuing our careers. We're pursuing the approval of man, Oh God.
- 37:59Speaker 3: If we're pursuing relationships harder than we're pursuing you, Oh God.
- 38:03Speaker 3: If we're pursuing other things, Oh God, we ask Lord
- 38:07Speaker 3: that you will forgive us we replace it, and we
- 38:11Speaker 3: want to take it away. Oh God. We want you
- 38:14Speaker 3: to be the true and living God, the true and
- 38:17Speaker 3: living King. We want to worship the true and living God.
- 38:20Speaker 3: And we ask that you will forgive us, restore us,
- 38:24Speaker 3: and strengthen us in Jesus' name. And remember, it's not
- 38:29Speaker 3: about us, It's all about the Christ. And as God bless.
- 38:45Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 38:49Speaker 4: is the Hiss Hop Radio show.
