Latest / Millennial Mustard Seed / S6 241. Scott Mitchell - CrossCast with Bible Mysteries Podcast : Occupying Enemy Territory
Transcript
- 0:01Hello folks, this is Princess. You are listening to the
- 0:04Millennial Mustard Seed podcast. Thanks for listening.
- 0:07Don't forget to share with your friends.
- 0:11That's tough. We're in a very tough spot.
- 0:13I think that what we're doing right now is a great benefit and
- 0:17virtue because it's an end around between this whole
- 0:21corrupt informational system, media system.
- 0:25We claim to believe in a God who spoke the universe into
- 0:28existence and literally raised himself from the dead, and yet
- 0:33we're not going to believe that anything else exists in the
- 0:36spirit realm, even though His word tells us that they do.
- 0:40Their bodies weren't permitted to go to sleep like humans do,
- 0:44and they weren't permitted to go to heaven.
- 0:46So they wander the earth. You know, I've seen the eyes
- 0:50turn black to unknown tongues being spoken.
- 0:55These giants would love way up in the Highland, the young
- 0:58Braves. The young men would hide up in
- 1:00the trees and wait for one of these 12 footers to come walking
- 1:03down the path and they would jump on them and kill them, drag
- 1:07them back to the village and the village would feast on the body
- 1:09freedom. Then people start to get
- 1:16weapons, they start to get armor, they start to build
- 1:18cities, they start to fortify their cities.
- 1:20Now God looks down and there's violence everywhere.
- 1:24The battle, this war that we are at, is not against each other.
- 1:28It's against these principalities and these rulers
- 1:30and these archons in the high places.
- 1:32It's really worthwhile to read the Bible yourself.
- 1:35Fear is one of the primary drivers of mind control because
- 1:40we have to take every thought captive and resist fear.
- 1:46You're going to have a testimony that is a justice case against
- 1:52the Kingdom of darkness. Welcome back to the Millennial
- 2:26Mustard Seed. Music This is Rod Smith,
- 2:28producer, creator, and crosscaster.
- 2:31Because I got an amazing crosscast episode for you guys.
- 2:35I had the pleasure and honor of teaming up with Scott Mitchell
- 2:39from the Bible Mysteries Podcast.
- 2:42Yeah, we had a really good time and it's a really cool way how
- 2:45all of this unfolded. But let's just say I had Ryan
- 2:48Peterson on a while back and he gave Scott Mitchell a shout out.
- 2:53At the time, I didn't know who Scott was or Bible Mysteries
- 2:57podcast that it even existed. Well, then Karen Wilkinson text
- 3:01me and she's like, I got somebody I need you to meet.
- 3:05She says. I feel like there's something
- 3:07here and next thing you know, me and Scott are on the phone.
- 3:10We had a couple a couple conversations that should have
- 3:13been recorded, but they were phone calls.
- 3:15And then we got together and did this cross cast episode and it
- 3:18is a bombshell, man. We really get into what I
- 3:21consider to be the crux of the issue.
- 3:23Some of the heart matters, some of the gritty Holy Spirit filled
- 3:27conversations that is, is really the good stuff.
- 3:31Let me list out a couple topics here for you guys of what you
- 3:34can look forward to in this episode, we talk about the
- 3:36ripple effect of divine connections.
- 3:40We talk about Scott's journey from professional musician in
- 3:43Nashville to what he's doing today and how that it's a
- 3:47fascinating story. Actually, Genesis 6, we get into
- 3:50Revelation 6, why it's time to get real, you know, redefining
- 3:55worship. And we talk a bit about the law
- 3:57of first mention and the cost. Of.
- 4:00Sacrifice, why religious frameworks are failing and what
- 4:06God is raising up instead. And the Occupy until the Lord
- 4:10comes. What does this really mean?
- 4:13Are we in a spiritually hijacked culture?
- 4:16Is the strong delusion and the spiritual famine and our
- 4:20discernment all on the line? I would say yes.
- 4:23And in this conversation, this cross cast with me and Scott
- 4:27Mitchell from the Bible Mysteries podcast, we have that
- 4:30hour and 45 minute long, amazing conversation.
- 4:34Man, we just flowed. It was an honor to work with
- 4:37Scott. I don't think this will be the
- 4:38last time. Lord willing, we'll be doing
- 4:40more projects, crossovers, and interesting collaborations in
- 4:44the near future. I want to drop a little bit of a
- 4:47gem here, Something I was thinking about that's a fresh
- 4:50revelation of mine. I'm going to put this out into
- 4:52the ripple effect. I'm not saying that this is
- 4:55Scripture, but it's just a take that I had.
- 4:58I never heard anywhere else. And so the idea of where the
- 5:02Bible says that the earth moans and groans, it cries out for the
- 5:06identity of the sons of God to be made known.
- 5:08I started thinking about technology.
- 5:10I started thinking about a cell phone, a computer, a laptop,
- 5:13whatever you have that you're listening, for example, through
- 5:16technology on a podcast like this.
- 5:19And I'm like, it's made of the earth.
- 5:21The materials that we use to make all of this stuff, the
- 5:25microphone, the headphones, the speaker, the cell phone, it's
- 5:28all made of the earth. And I started to think the multi
- 5:34layered effect applies here as well because as technology, your
- 5:39speakers, your equipment is as you're listening to this show
- 5:42right now, there's an Ave. which is active in this moment where I
- 5:48am one of many crying out for the our identity to be made
- 5:52known. And I just just fascinating
- 5:53little thing I thought of recently.
- 5:56I figured I'd share with you guys here in this kind of intro
- 5:59to this cross cast. All right, let's do some
- 6:02maintenance here real quick. You guys like share and
- 6:04subscribe. You can find all the details in
- 6:07the show notes to how to support this ministry.
- 6:10You can do the monthly support or a one time donation if you
- 6:13feel LED. If not, we ask that you pray and
- 6:16that you share these episodes far wide and go subscribe and
- 6:21like, comment, leave a five star rating on Scott Mitchell's The
- 6:26Bible Mystery Podcast. I think it's about time to jump
- 6:33into this episode. I'm ready.
- 6:36Are you guys ready? Let's go.
- 6:38Let's. Go
- 6:53Hello, I am Scott Mitchell with Bible Mysteries Podcast.
- 6:58And this is Rod Smith from the MMS, and this is a crossover
- 7:02podcast. Yes, this is going to be
- 7:04exciting. I think so.
- 7:06We are going to we're meeting up for the first time in on video
- 7:09and we're going to talk about each other's worlds in the Word
- 7:13of God right now. It's so cool just as a common
- 7:19point, like Ryan Peterson was on a few months back and he
- 7:23actually during the episode, we're having this like intense
- 7:25conversation, like really good, really good stuff.
- 7:29And he, he says, my buddy over at the Bible Mysteries podcast,
- 7:33Scott Mitchell, me and him were just talking about that.
- 7:36And I'm like Bible mysteries, like I love Bible mysteries.
- 7:42And it's so cool because Karen then text me a couple days later
- 7:46after I like, I was thinking about that.
- 7:48I released the episode and she's like, Rod, there's somebody I
- 7:50want you to talk with. And well, Scott, here we are.
- 7:56Yes, I'm well, praise God the the way these connections are
- 8:00being formed is clearly the Lord is behind it.
- 8:03And as a matter of fact, Brother Ryan Peterson is one of the
- 8:07reasons that I have a podcast and it was because he came to do
- 8:13a convention we called Declassified Bible Mysteries
- 8:16Declassified that he was our guest.
- 8:20That is how I came to meet Karen Wilkinson, who traveled to see
- 8:23him and meet me. And one thing leads to another
- 8:28and the next thing you know, I'm hearing about you.
- 8:29So praise God. I call it the ripple effect.
- 8:33Yeah, yeah. It's like, you know, God is
- 8:36doing these mysterious things where, I mean, the Scripture's
- 8:39just loaded with this, you know, God will have his way and his
- 8:43ways are higher than our ways. And there's scrolls, right?
- 8:46There's things that were called to do in this life.
- 8:49And yeah, the attacks are horrific at times and the
- 8:52distractions and the world is Lord, they're doing what the
- 8:55world does right? And we're inculcating for
- 8:58Christ. As in like, I see this pretty
- 9:01well, right? And Scott, you see this over
- 9:03here really well. Ryan Peterson sees this really
- 9:06well. So when we come together it we
- 9:08sharpen each other and and there's the humility and there's
- 9:12this joining of forces almost where it's like the kindred
- 9:16spirit, like how great is it when brothers dwell together in
- 9:19unity? So, ma'am, it's an honor to just
- 9:21get to chop it up with you on air.
- 9:22We've been on the phone a couple times, yeah, and we've had some
- 9:26great conversations off there. I remember even thinking, man,
- 9:28this should have been an episode on one of those conversations.
- 9:32That's true that it's, it's too bad you can't have like record
- 9:36at the ready every time you talk.
- 9:38You know that I've had text conversations with Karen and,
- 9:42and we've said we we need to stop and make this a podcast.
- 9:44You need to come back on the show.
- 9:47Man, so why don't you, you know, give us this 30,000 foot view
- 9:51from from my perspective, right? I know that you've been doing
- 9:54this for a number of years and you're reaching people and, and
- 9:57if I remember correctly, you do have a congregation, right?
- 10:00Like you are a pastor. I did so.
- 10:03Yeah. Well, fill us in on all of that.
- 10:04Like, how did you become the Scott Mitchell that you are
- 10:07today? Like, let's jump into it.
- 10:10You bet. So I'll give you the the
- 10:12Reader's Digest version of. I felt called to ministry years
- 10:17ago to start teaching Bible classes, which I did, and
- 10:22eventually that led to me moving to Texas because I started out
- 10:25as a professional musician in Nashville, TN.
- 10:28So my career goes way back into music and things like that in
- 10:32the 80s and I won't get into the embarrassing things that took
- 10:35place there. But once I knew that the Lord
- 10:41had called me to preach, a door opened up for me to move to what
- 10:45I thought was going to be the Austin, TX area and I ended up
- 10:49settling in a smaller city South of there about an hour called
- 10:52Seguin, which is near San Antonio, TX.
- 10:55Was traveling as an itinerant teacher preacher preaching Bible
- 11:00classes as they opened up and eventually a group where I lived
- 11:03formed and we decided to start a church.
- 11:06So we began a Bible church called Grace Family Bible Church
- 11:10in 2005. And I was the pastor of that for
- 11:13about 15 years. And during that time, you know,
- 11:17a small community and a small Bible church doesn't have a lot
- 11:21of outreach. You know, we don't have a lot of
- 11:23opportunities. And, and particularly when your
- 11:26congregants tend to be somewhat older than you Even so they're
- 11:30not as actively out there beating the bushes, so to speak.
- 11:34And so I thought, well, we need to get on the, the web.
- 11:37And I started recording my messages and it was very
- 11:40amateurish. And, you know, we probably
- 11:42weren't getting any, any kind of hits that you would think would
- 11:45be significant. But it got to the point where we
- 11:49were kind of dwindling. A lot of changes took place.
- 11:51We sold our facility to a charter school, but we rented it
- 11:56back to use that because we kept meeting.
- 11:58We only needed it on Sundays and Wednesday nights.
- 12:01So it wasn't really, it was just unoccupied most of the time.
- 12:04So it made more sense. And as all that was going
- 12:08through, I was just beginning to get pretty weary of just the
- 12:12maintenance and the upkeep and everything involved in that and
- 12:15feeling like I'm not getting the message out I need to reach to
- 12:20the more people. Not that I'm looking for
- 12:22numbers, but I was beginning to see how close we are to the end
- 12:25times. And back to Ryan Peterson one
- 12:29day, a man who is one of my dear brothers in Christ named John.
- 12:35And he would lead our singing for for hymns and things because
- 12:39he knew every hymn there was. And he came up and he said,
- 12:43brother, I, I want you to see my new favorite book next to the
- 12:45Bible. He handed me Judgement of the
- 12:47Nephilim and and it was a copy for me to take home.
- 12:52And I began to read it. And I thought, you are kidding
- 12:55me. There's somebody else out there
- 12:57that thinks like me and I'm not crazy because I was looking at
- 13:00Genesis 6 and I knew something was going on there.
- 13:03And lo and behold, we ended up reaching out to him and he
- 13:06agreed to come on. But what had happened was that
- 13:10book ended up making me think, you know what, I've got to start
- 13:14some kind of a podcast. So before I retired from
- 13:17ministry, we started Bible Mysteries podcast and didn't
- 13:19know what we were doing. And a a very long story to to be
- 13:24very short was I work in technology during the day.
- 13:27I help people with products, you know, computer products.
- 13:31And I got a call once from a person that I helped resolve an
- 13:35issue with their computer. And in the course of that they
- 13:38said to me, thank you so much. Oh, and by the way, as we were
- 13:42sometimes doing some of the steps we needed to take, there
- 13:45would be a a moment of waiting and we would chit chat.
- 13:48Come to find out this man was a musician and so was I.
- 13:51And when he mentioned guitars, of course we went off talking
- 13:54about guitars. And after it was all said and
- 13:58done, he said, listen, I really appreciate your help.
- 14:00And I know it may be a violation of your company policy, but may
- 14:03I have your personal e-mail to send you a thank you and a
- 14:06picture of this guitar that I had made for me from a local
- 14:09luthier? And I said, oh, of course I'd
- 14:11love to see it. That sounds great.
- 14:12And he did. He sent me a very nice thank
- 14:15you. And he sent me a picture of this
- 14:16beautiful guitar. And he put a little PS in there,
- 14:19Rod. And it said, by the way, I was
- 14:21the guy that started the AM radio show Coast to Coast with
- 14:25Art Bell. He was the producer that began
- 14:28that show, and unbeknownst to him, I'd been running in my head
- 14:33about starting this podcast. So I kept his e-mail and about
- 14:39almost 11 months later, I wrote him back and I said, listen, I
- 14:43don't know if you Remember Me, but I'm the guy that helped you
- 14:45with your computer. I wonder if I couldn't pick your
- 14:50brain about a podcast. I know you had a background in
- 14:52radio, but I'm thinking of starting this thing.
- 14:56And he wrote me back and he said, oh, I'd love to talk to
- 14:58you. That'd be great.
- 14:59I, I don't know that format, but I'd love to talk to you about
- 15:03it. That's when I called him.
- 15:05We arranged a day and I gave him the premise of my first show.
- 15:10Now you got to, if you know anything about the Art Bell
- 15:12show, Coast to Coast, they have every weird kind of call and
- 15:15guest on there. They talk about ghosts and UFOs
- 15:18and bigfoots and cryptids and all that kind of stuff, but not
- 15:21from a Bible perspective, just from a sensational perspective.
- 15:26And I began to tell this man when I called him, I said, well,
- 15:31I was thinking about calling this show Bible Ministries.
- 15:33And you can just hear him go, oh, he thought it was going to
- 15:35be about guitars. And he says, in fact, I'm not
- 15:38even a Christian, I'm Jewish. But tell me, what is the the
- 15:42premise of the show? And I told him the first episode
- 15:44idea. And he said, OK, I need you to
- 15:45stop. I want to go get my wife and I
- 15:48want her. I want you to repeat this for
- 15:50her. And so she got on the phone and
- 15:53I repeated my premise again. And she said, oh, you've got to
- 15:57get him on the show. And so one thing led to another.
- 16:00And he said, I've never heard anything like this.
- 16:03And you need to come on the show, which is now George Nori
- 16:05is the host, you know, so that's kind of what got the ball
- 16:09rolling. He said.
- 16:10Get you 12 episodes under your belt because as soon as you're
- 16:13on the show, you're going to explode and you're going to have
- 16:16a lot of people wanting more content.
- 16:19And that's how the Lord kind of opened the door for us.
- 16:21Just. Wild.
- 16:23Just to start the show, and we've been going strong.
- 16:26We're about to wrap up our fifth season. 5th season How many
- 16:29episodes are you in like we? Are at episode two 39239 which
- 16:34will be it was just released this Monday and next week will
- 16:38be episode 240 and that will be another interview with my sister
- 16:41Karen Wilkinson. Wow, interesting.
- 16:45I love the timeline stuff like like figuring out how all of it
- 16:49fits together because I talk with like other other
- 16:52podcasters, some people that are prolific in this space, like
- 16:54they've been doing it since 2005.
- 16:56And then other people that are like myself and you just more
- 16:59recent to it and kind of looking at the timeline because, you
- 17:03know, I joked earlier about the ripple effect, right?
- 17:05But there really is something to that, like what's being echoed
- 17:08out from heaven right now and how everybody's story matters,
- 17:13like how we got here right now, like it matters, like it's, it's
- 17:17important. Thank you for sharing that.
- 17:20That's a very interesting way that you got launched into this.
- 17:23You bet. And I'll I'll wrap it up by
- 17:25saying that one of the passages that I know you have referred to
- 17:29many times in your own show, and so have I, is Daniel 12 about
- 17:33knowledge increasing. And while often times the world
- 17:38looks at that, or maybe even Christians look at that as, yes,
- 17:42AI and advanced technology and mankind's, you know, getting
- 17:45ready to crack the codes on the, the human genome and all those
- 17:49kind of things. But it could it also mean that
- 17:52God will start revealing some things to his Saints that he
- 17:56didn't necessarily need us to know until now.
- 17:58And that's part of the knowledge increasing.
- 18:00So I think that's a part, a huge part of what you and I are doing
- 18:03here and would love to know about how you came to be a
- 18:06podcaster. Wow, just a comment on that.
- 18:12I couldn't agree more. It's super late.
- 18:15If we're living it out in real time, we're we're participants
- 18:20in what God is echoing out from heaven for this time slot, this
- 18:24experience that we've been given and that's that's just
- 18:26phenomenal. I mean, to answer that, I'm
- 18:30going to try to keep it short. There's so many things that
- 18:33happen and everything tried to keep it from happening.
- 18:38In a lot of ways. I'm autodidactic self-taught in
- 18:44this whole entire thing. I was computer illiterate when I
- 18:47came into the scene. So I was working at a location
- 18:54right outside of Philadelphia, PA and I still don't want to say
- 18:59the name of the company publicly because I'm on a a no compete,
- 19:04no disclosure contract with them for a certain amount of time
- 19:07that expires in the near future. But it was a good company.
- 19:13I shouldn't have gotten in. Although I feel like God allowed
- 19:15me to work there for a 10 year season and I had a supernatural
- 19:21life all of my life. Scott.
- 19:23Like I just not like overly dramatically supernatural, but
- 19:27there was like climactical events that happened where like
- 19:30I didn't need convinced that any of this stuff is real.
- 19:33I was more perplexed at why the world couldn't facilitate those
- 19:37conversations without the fake mask on, right.
- 19:40Like around the bonfire, people could talk about it.
- 19:42And then Monday they put their suit and their tie on and
- 19:44they're an accountant in Philadelphia.
- 19:46And it's like they act like a like it's a form of programming.
- 19:50Like it was always weird for me because I'm me in Walmart in a
- 19:53church, like wherever you, I'm just Rod, you get what you see,
- 19:57you know? And so it was always weird for
- 19:59me to handle that. But I had questions.
- 20:01I didn't grow up in the church, you know.
- 20:04I had a near death encounter. I had certain things that
- 20:07happened that busted the worldview for me.
- 20:10It made me reinvent myself in a more humble and curious way.
- 20:15And so podcasting for me, it starts with God was speaking
- 20:20things to me around 2425 years old about what I was going to
- 20:25do. And I'm like, I don't think so.
- 20:28There's no way nobody would believe me if I told them that.
- 20:34And he was speaking things to me.
- 20:35Like, you're going to use your voice to reach more people than
- 20:39you could count. You're going to have an
- 20:41influence. You matter.
- 20:42And like, I'm like, the way I grew up and everything I went
- 20:45through, I'm like, I don't think so.
- 20:46Just another number, a visitor for now, just passing through.
- 20:50If I'm lucky, I'll be told well done.
- 20:51You're full of forgiveness too. Like that was the full extent of
- 20:54my existence, at least I thought.
- 20:59And I find what's called CCR, Canary Cry Radio in 2017 and
- 21:06they they're diving into the Doctor Chuck Missler's, they're
- 21:09interviewing these people, Doctor Michael Heizer.
- 21:12And I just remember having that moment, kind of like what you
- 21:14said with Ryan, when when your buddy handed you his book.
- 21:18I'm not alone. There's somebody else out there
- 21:21like me. And I started to bite into their
- 21:24content and just go, I'm enamored.
- 21:28You know, my wife is, my wife is not from America.
- 21:30She's been here since 2012. She's a legal citizen.
- 21:33We went through that. That's a difficult process to
- 21:35all those illegals out there that I don't agree with.
- 21:38Do it the right way, guys. It's, it's difficult, but it's
- 21:41worth it. And she comes from a worldview
- 21:43that's supernatural. Like it's, it's a whole
- 21:45different, you know, experience. And so a lot of that challenged
- 21:49me too, where like she would cry and tell me stuff that she
- 21:52experienced growing up. And I'd be like, why don't you
- 21:54tell anybody? She's like, you guys play video
- 21:55games about that. You guys watch Netflix about it.
- 21:58But it's real to us, right? And then I would read in the
- 22:01Bible for myself and be like, man, this is here.
- 22:04And then I would start to look at my life and certain things
- 22:07that I experienced and be like, what is this sacred secular
- 22:12divide between experiential reality, or at least what we
- 22:18want to remember because a lot of us are trying to forget so
- 22:20much and go with the flow of the world.
- 22:22And I just, I made a stand and said, no.
- 22:24So the podcast was birthed in 2018.
- 22:28I actually started a show called Not of this World.
- 22:30I don't recommend anyone listens to it because it's like I said,
- 22:33I'm autodidactic, I'm self-taught.
- 22:34It's horrific audio quality. And it was just my way of, of
- 22:38stepping out and being like, OK, let's start this process.
- 22:41God, where does this go? And you know, 30 people a week
- 22:45maybe was was the Max listenership for about a year
- 22:49and a half with that show. And then I wrestled through this
- 22:52concept of I'm a millennial. I grew up on the cusp of
- 22:56technology becoming a thing, right.
- 22:57We still would had calluses on her hands and still played down
- 23:00by the river. And you know, we're just a
- 23:02little bit different than the iPad baby generation.
- 23:04And I don't mean that in an offensive way.
- 23:06I'm just saying that's the that's how the the things have
- 23:08unfolded in this time slot. And I remember being like, I'm
- 23:14small and insignificant. I have this little mustard seed
- 23:16of faith. And then there's a lot of things
- 23:19that are in opposition to this vision inside of me.
- 23:23And I wrestled with God about the name because it's a
- 23:25mouthful. I actually have like 60
- 23:27different bloopers that I don't really release.
- 23:31Sometimes at the end of an episode, I'll put a little
- 23:33blooper in there of people mispronouncing the name of the
- 23:35show. It's a tongue twister, right?
- 23:37Millennial mustard seed. And but God gave me that name
- 23:42and I'm like, everybody else has these cool names, you know,
- 23:44Bigfoot slays, the giant podcast or just making something up for
- 23:49comparison. But come on, there's these super
- 23:51dope podcasts out there with cool names and cool graphics and
- 23:54a whole team or an experienced person.
- 23:56I'm just some little old millennial trying to figure out
- 23:59how do I help my generation? Why do I feel the way I feel?
- 24:02Who am I really? Is God really who he says he is?
- 24:04Because I don't have a church background.
- 24:06I just have the Easter Christmas experience and the near death.
- 24:09So I have all these questions and I'm like filled with all of
- 24:12this, like veracity or just like I'm exploding with there's got
- 24:17to be more. There's got to be beauty that's
- 24:20just undefinable and and battles that are like epic beyond what
- 24:26Hollywood tries to portray to us.
- 24:28Like it has to be real. If it's not, everything's
- 24:31vanity. And so the podcast was the
- 24:33birthing place. The Millennium must have seed
- 24:35specifically was planned out for a year or at least the first
- 24:38episode in the very beginning of 2020.
- 24:40Actually, March 20th of 2020 was when I aired the first episode
- 24:44and season 1 and 2 are horrific because it's a growth podcast.
- 24:49I'm learning the cheapest equipment and rough start, I
- 24:54guess you could say. And we've developed into maybe
- 24:57like a four or five star show today, you know, and just
- 25:01focusing on asking the questions that are important to me, not
- 25:05holding back glorifying God, like remembering the climax of
- 25:09all of eternity is the risen Messiah who's come in the flesh.
- 25:13Like look, that's the center point that plugs all of this
- 25:15together. It's all important.
- 25:18And and here I am, Scott here is the Millennium and there's so
- 25:21much more, but has like a brief overview.
- 25:24That's just kind of a bit of the timeline of what it looked like
- 25:28for, I guess, me to take a public stand and just say I'm
- 25:31not ashamed. I'm not going to back down.
- 25:33I'm going to be me. I'm going to create a space
- 25:36that's safe to dive into content that I believe is important.
- 25:40Wow. Well, you know, what's
- 25:42remarkable about that is two things that stand out for me.
- 25:45One, you and I have a similar background in how we got started
- 25:50because I also was not raised in a church family at all.
- 25:53And #2 I'm going to ask you at some point if you wouldn't mind
- 25:57at least sharing some of the near death experience so we can
- 26:00get an idea of what brought you to that point that you are now.
- 26:04But you know, it's funny that I had my family didn't darken the
- 26:08door of a church growing up unless somebody died or got
- 26:11married, you know? Exactly.
- 26:13And around 1516 years old, in high school, my sister began to
- 26:18date a young guy that became a very close friend of mine, and
- 26:21his father was a pastor of a church.
- 26:22So I began to learn the Bible and I feel like even as a young
- 26:26child, I was interested in what, what you would call the
- 26:31supernatural. But in my mind, I was a just God
- 26:33as of the most vague concept, you know, And in my limited
- 26:37capacity, my grandfather was a Baptist, a Southern Baptist and
- 26:42a Gideon. So he would occasionally invite
- 26:44us to go to Sunday school. But I, I didn't, you know, I had
- 26:48no connection to that. It was just something that I
- 26:51might do if I was bored or if he persisted, but ultimately I felt
- 26:56like I I knew there was a God, I just didn't know where he was or
- 26:59who he was. And then finally, this Bible
- 27:03study began to introduce me to rightly dividing the word of
- 27:07truth. And even though for a while
- 27:09there I went in a direction that I don't feel like was as the
- 27:15correct path, it still taught me how to study my Bible and you
- 27:19can get into some dogmatic things and what I what I now
- 27:22call militant grace for lack of a.
- 27:25Better I'm not trying. To be unkind, I understand, but
- 27:28you when, when you put on your blinders, God will go, OK,
- 27:33you're not ready for it. I can't give it to you.
- 27:35When you're ready to receive it, let me know.
- 27:37I'm right here. And I came to one of those
- 27:39breaking points where I, I thought there's got to be more
- 27:42than I'm seeing here, Lord. And that's when things began to
- 27:45open up. So yeah, you and I have a
- 27:47similar thing there without a religious or family Christian
- 27:50upbringing. It's I mean, it's almost like
- 27:54kind of the the unexpected, the least expected to inculcate
- 27:58within the religious framework. God is kind of hand choosing
- 28:03people. He's like, you know what?
- 28:06You don't have 5 generations of of pastors in your family or
- 28:09strong dogmatic views, right? You want to know about me, I'll
- 28:16show you just a little bit, you know, and then that you're
- 28:22hooked, man taste and see that he's good and and it's the
- 28:27spiritual warfare is real, Scott.
- 28:29Like we really go through it and I tell people like I'm in the
- 28:33gutter. We don't have budget and team
- 28:36and like all this stuff. But God has allowed us, he's
- 28:38given us a grace to do certain things that I'm like, yeah, OK,
- 28:44there's no way I could do any of this unless this was I was
- 28:47called to like, literally, I should have lost my life a
- 28:52number of times. And it's crazy to see like how
- 28:55much he loves us and how much he's qualifying.
- 28:58And it's not like exclusive, like, oh, we're loved more
- 29:00because we're Christian podcasters.
- 29:02No, all of us are. But when we look at the calling
- 29:05of God on our lives and how we're supposed to work together
- 29:09to to complement each other, to honor each other, to wreck, to
- 29:12say, I see you, I see what you're doing.
- 29:14This is important, right? I mean, that's what I feel like
- 29:18fringe Christian space is kind of walking into a little bit of
- 29:23this kind of recognition and like getting familiar with, you
- 29:25know what? I don't want to be isolated
- 29:28because spiritual warfare is real.
- 29:31And the deeper that they go, the more that they realize, wow, the
- 29:34enemy is horrifically orchestrating a death module, A
- 29:39simulated death module of every effect around us, right?
- 29:44And I think we're in a period right now where we have the
- 29:48grace, like a reprieve almost. Scott is kind of like what I've
- 29:52been feeling for like about the last year to get her house in
- 29:56order, you know, to get the majors figured out, to let the
- 29:59miners be what they are and not let them be arguing points or
- 30:03stumbling blocks. Like it's so cool to talk about
- 30:05Bigfoot and meat. So it's meat suits, right?
- 30:09And nanotechnology particulates and all that, you know, Cloud
- 30:12seen. Like, I love those
- 30:13conversations. But at the heart of all of it, I
- 30:16don't have great answers. I'm broken in contrite most of
- 30:19the time. Things don't always go right for
- 30:21him. And I'm just crying out the God
- 30:23like, Lord, I'm still here. What are we doing today?
- 30:26And it sounds like I'm finding that kindred spirit man.
- 30:30And it you know, I do have to say I've been listening to a bit
- 30:33of your content, like trying to even get prepared with like how
- 30:36you kind of do things in a little bit of what you're
- 30:39putting out there. And I'm impressed, man, because
- 30:43God, God's given you the ability to reach people that I can't
- 30:47reach. Yes.
- 30:49And vice versa. And so crossovers like this are
- 30:51important, right? Because there may be some people
- 30:54that hear my testimony or hear what's going on over here.
- 30:57And that's I kind of opens the door for them in a way, and vice
- 31:01versa. So I really just want to honor
- 31:03you for this this time, and I'm enjoying this.
- 31:07Well, you as well, Rod, I'm, I'm so grateful.
- 31:10You know, it's funny how we, you know, we got introduced to Karen
- 31:13in a text and, and then I let myself sometimes get so busy and
- 31:19I fall behind. And then you just kept reminding
- 31:23me, Hey, I'm still here if you want to chat, You know, let's
- 31:25get that phone call going. And it's always feel bad about
- 31:29that because I do this with everybody.
- 31:31It's, it's not that I ever intend to ignore anyone.
- 31:33It's just that, you know, when you're running your podcast,
- 31:36you're trying to get everything done and you also work a full
- 31:38time job. Sometimes you have to put things
- 31:41back a little bit. And finally I went, OK, Lord,
- 31:44you must be telling me that I need to talk to this man because
- 31:50he's not giving up on me. And so I, I appreciate you for
- 31:53that. And then once we finally connect
- 31:55him, we had a conversation. I walked away and I told my
- 31:58wife, something's going to come of this.
- 32:01I don't know what, but God is going to honor something between
- 32:04us meeting and talking. And you know what's so funny?
- 32:08You mentioned in your own testimony just now about feeling
- 32:14like you always had a connection to the supernatural and that we,
- 32:18we sometimes say these things. God called me to this or God
- 32:21told me that. And while I've never, I've
- 32:24always been jealous of people that said God told me to do
- 32:26this. I was like, really, what do you
- 32:27sound like? Because I never get to hear
- 32:29that. I want to hear that voice, you
- 32:30know, And I don't doubt that they did.
- 32:32I just don't, I don't know that it, it's the same way with me.
- 32:35And it used to make me wonder what am I doing wrong?
- 32:38But then I'll think back and I'll remember when I got saved,
- 32:41which was around 20 years old. I was so excited about the truth
- 32:46of salvation that I, when we, when I got married and we bought
- 32:49our first home, I bought a lawnmower.
- 32:52And one thing that I felt like was really made me a true
- 32:55bonafide homeowner was I could mow my lawn, you know, and I
- 33:00would get in the backyard and I would mow.
- 33:01And of course, back then gas mowers were loud and you
- 33:04couldn't hear. But I would preach.
- 33:06And this is long before I felt called by the Lord to actually
- 33:09start teaching. I would preach messages just the
- 33:12top of my voice with the lawnmower running, you know,
- 33:15thinking, boy, how could anybody walk away unsaved after hearing
- 33:18that? So maybe in some way, that's how
- 33:21the Lord was calling me. He just put in my heart this
- 33:24burning desire to get this truth out.
- 33:26And for me, a podcast like you and I are doing, it's just
- 33:30another vehicle, another vessel to say, hey, maybe you don't
- 33:35believe in the supernatural world, but why don't you take a
- 33:37look at this and then go check out and there's actually an
- 33:40answer in the Bible. And maybe that will peak your
- 33:42curiosity to dig deeper. And hopefully once you do that,
- 33:46it's going to open up your heart to see your need for a savior.
- 33:51That's so good you were you were preaching the gospel to all
- 33:54creation on that lawnmower. So and nobody can hear me
- 33:58because of the drone of the mower so.
- 34:01Great and and really that is I mean, if we start to like look
- 34:05at what does it mean to be called or you heard from God,
- 34:08right? And I think that they're like,
- 34:11Scott, I've had this idea of doing what I'm what I'm
- 34:14considering the the late doctor Chuck message to talk about
- 34:16hermeneutical hygiene, right? Like having really good approach
- 34:20and, and healthy right, getting up to part, continually
- 34:24adjusting and critiquing, making sure we're coming correctly to
- 34:28how we're viewing the Bible right.
- 34:31And I was thinking about and, and me and Pete from the days of
- 34:34no apocalypse are doing this a bit where we're we're
- 34:36qualifying. We all say words like holy
- 34:39right, or oh man, I love this new song that came out.
- 34:42And I was looking at if we got back to the root of what the
- 34:46Bible was saying when it when it was declaring these things like
- 34:49the first time prophecies mentioned in the Bible, like
- 34:52what is the law first mention? What is the context of that?
- 34:55What's the standard there? What is God conveying to us?
- 34:57Right? And then trying to, because
- 35:00obviously the, not only the millennial generation, but many
- 35:02of us right now are inculcated so deeply into the, the video
- 35:08culture, right? You just flip to another video
- 35:10every 15 seconds. I call it TikTok brain, right?
- 35:13Where people are just programmed to digest and to see lights and
- 35:17to get those dopamine hits from, from, you know, these exciting
- 35:19little video ventures and, and the techno culture that we're a
- 35:23part of. And I'm like, man, if we got
- 35:26back to the root of some of these meanings and started to
- 35:29understand more thoroughly, like, what does it mean when the
- 35:33Bible says many are called, but few are chosen?
- 35:36Like, what does that mean? What does that look like?
- 35:38What does it mean to be called when people, when someone says,
- 35:40I feel like God is telling me this define that?
- 35:44Is it just like some like weird ethereal, like, Oh, well, I
- 35:47will, you know, I don't endorse this at all, but I know a lot of
- 35:52people that are like this. I grew up around a lot of people
- 35:54like this. I was smoking a joint with a
- 35:57bunch of friends, man, and I just felt God in the wind, bro.
- 36:01And I felt like, you know, the and it's like, man, that is we
- 36:03have missed the mark if we're holding that kind of engagement
- 36:09with the Lord. I would define like what you
- 36:12said, Scott, you're on the lawn mower.
- 36:15Nobody's around. You're being Scott.
- 36:18You're excited about what the Lord has done and what he's
- 36:21called. He he's, he's curating something
- 36:24inside of you and moving something deep inside of you
- 36:27where you were just happy to speak out with an authority and
- 36:31passion. His word on your lawn mower.
- 36:33That is the evidence of a calling.
- 36:37Amen. Yeah, it's it's experiential.
- 36:41Call it a still small voice if you want because I didn't hear a
- 36:46voice, but boy I felt like if. And that ultimately drove me to
- 36:51wanting to be a teacher and preacher because I felt like
- 36:54I'll bust if I don't tell this to somebody.
- 36:57It moved you deeply, right? Like it literally helped the
- 36:59trajectory of your life. That's a calling, my friend.
- 37:02Yes, loud and clear. I I completely agree.
- 37:05You know, I'm so glad, Rod, that you mentioned hermeneutics and
- 37:09the law of first usage or rule of first usage, because I
- 37:13recently had a guest on who's a close friend of mine.
- 37:16He actually lives in the same city with me and it's not a big
- 37:18town. So and he was a member of my
- 37:21church. His name is Jeff Dodson and he's
- 37:24a dear brother in Christ. But he, he felt a calling to
- 37:27start studying the Hebrew language because he wanted to
- 37:31see more deeply some things that he felt like he could glean from
- 37:34that. And I praise God for his desire
- 37:37for that. We've had him on several times,
- 37:39but the last time he was on, he mentioned that rule of first
- 37:43usage. And we went back and we did a
- 37:45study on the word worship. And the first, the first time
- 37:49it's used was by Abraham saying he's going to take, take Isaac
- 37:53and offer him as a sacrifice. But he told the servants, the
- 37:57young child and I are going to go Yonder and worship.
- 37:59Yeah. And if you.
- 38:01See that and what worship is called today, and I'm not trying
- 38:04to be critical or judgmental, but if it's if it's a rock
- 38:08concert and that's and and it's just an emotional thing, that's
- 38:12not where it started. That's not what was originally
- 38:15intended. That may be where it is
- 38:17perceived now, but it was really convicting to listen to that and
- 38:21realize, boy, we have come far afield from words in their
- 38:25original meanings by the Holy Spirit.
- 38:28Scott, that is so good. I always say I I get a lot of
- 38:34pushback from people. I've had so many offers and
- 38:38people reach out and say, let me write, study under me and do do
- 38:41things this way. And we think you should be a,
- 38:43you know, Apostolic. We think you should be
- 38:46Pentecostal. We think you should be right.
- 38:48I've had all of this engagement. I spent more time in dialect
- 38:51with Muslims recently than I even do Christians.
- 38:54It's like like, how about that person like face to face, right?
- 38:58But I've noticed all this and and I've never limited the way
- 39:03that I view things or the way that I operate based on someone
- 39:06else's revelation. So I look into the four walls
- 39:09and I'm like, that's not it. It doesn't mean I'm against you.
- 39:13It doesn't mean I'm wishing that you right don't get it.
- 39:16But I'm not going to subject myself with a limiter on the
- 39:19revelation of playing churchianity that most people
- 39:23operate in. I'm going to, you know, I call
- 39:25it sticking to your lane, but I, I, I try to do it and I've
- 39:30failed many ways and I'm not a great example of this, but I try
- 39:32to do it in a way where personally, I work with multiple
- 39:35denominations. And then people say, well, what
- 39:37denomination are you? And I say, I'm non
- 39:39denominational and they say that's a denomination.
- 39:41And I'm like, listen, I don't know what to tell you.
- 39:44I know that I should be dead, but I'm not.
- 39:48Yeah. I know that something is growing
- 39:50and changing in me. I'm failing forward in so many
- 39:53ways and my heart posture worship is that I don't want to
- 40:00do it alone. Yeah.
- 40:02I want the Holy Spirit, I want that seal.
- 40:04I want the whitestone at the end of the age.
- 40:05I want to hear well done, good and faithful servant and all of
- 40:10this other stuff. It really it I started to
- 40:12realize, Scott, it's a distraction.
- 40:14Like people talk about simulation theory, right?
- 40:15The matrix. They talk about all these
- 40:17different ideas. Is the earth flat?
- 40:19Is it a globe? Is it terodial, right.
- 40:22And it's like, that's interesting to me and I want to
- 40:25I want to be able to run the race in these conversations.
- 40:28I'm not throwing it to the wayside, but during the midst of
- 40:31it, if you were honestly to look at your life, and let's just say
- 40:36if you were, and I mentioned this on another show recently, I
- 40:38think it's an interesting thing. I want to see what your thoughts
- 40:40are. But if you were to look at the
- 40:44Bible, the word of God, the 66 books, well, there's more books
- 40:47according to different denominations, but the 66 books,
- 40:52right? And you were to say, I'm going
- 40:54to look at this love letter from God to us, this redeeming love
- 40:58letter. And my personal experiences,
- 41:03whatever I've engaged with or had the epiphany on right, or
- 41:07just really resonated with that I can find in there.
- 41:10That's the limitation of my belief.
- 41:12What if people were to do that? You would probably have a lot of
- 41:14very dry people or confuse people that are like actually, I
- 41:19don't I've never seen an Angel, right.
- 41:21I've never seen a miracle. I've never right.
- 41:24You know, people might and I think it's a it's a good thing
- 41:26to talk about because if you get real with yourselves as
- 41:29listeners out there and now many people who do TuneIn have a
- 41:33reason to they're interested. But I'm talking like general
- 41:35consensus now, Scott, like we look at the four walls.
- 41:39We look at the operation of these people and it's like, why
- 41:46do you believe the Bible? So it's the word of God.
- 41:50I believe it. But then they live a contrary
- 41:53life. They de supernaturalize it.
- 41:56They believe in, I don't know, medical breakthrough magazine
- 42:02article 7000 this week. But they reject that bitterness
- 42:07and unforgiveness can actually make you sick.
- 42:09Yes. Like, you know, it's contrary.
- 42:12So like there's 22 worlds colliding here.
- 42:15There's a in my opinion, a spiritual warfare is taking
- 42:19place not only between principalities, powers, world as
- 42:21dominions, archons, but the religious spirits that are
- 42:24operating within the people that have their head in the sand.
- 42:28Yes. And they're just going with the
- 42:31flow, man. So I'm going to pass it to you.
- 42:32What are your thoughts on the like this idea of a reawakening
- 42:38whatever within the real body starting to get it?
- 42:41Starting to figure it out. I, I'm blown away by what you
- 42:45just shared, Rod, because and, and in fact, you said something
- 42:48earlier about your wife coming from a part of the world where
- 42:52the supernatural is very real to them.
- 42:55And Western culture and German rationalism did a lot to destroy
- 43:01the supernatural. And there was a divorce of
- 43:04science and religion and all that that took place.
- 43:08And when I mentioned earlier that I was, I, I'm grateful for
- 43:13salvation through the group of men that I studied under.
- 43:17And I'm, I see them as my father's in the Gospel, you
- 43:21know, But there came a point when I began to see some things
- 43:25that didn't seem to line up and they took that line in the sand.
- 43:28You know, that militant stance of well, you know, I'm not sure
- 43:33I believe in all that stuff. And yet it's right here in the
- 43:36Scriptures. Case in point, you, you made a
- 43:38reference to Ephesians 612. I don't know.
- 43:41But how many times I've read that heard it preached in Bible
- 43:44conferences. We wrestle not with flesh and
- 43:46blood, but it wasn't real to us. It wasn't it didn't become alive
- 43:51to me until I began to real. I actually had to encounter some
- 43:55people that were involved in some sort of demonic activity
- 43:59that clearly was a, a negative supernatural influence in their
- 44:03lives before I could admit that the thing was real.
- 44:07And then I began to question and I lost that group, that group
- 44:12that was more militant. I'm, I don't want that to sound
- 44:15ugly. That sounds unkind.
- 44:18Let's just say that they were more comfortable staying in the
- 44:21safety zone of the Bible. OK?
- 44:25They marked me and avoided me because I started saying, but
- 44:29wait a minute, we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but
- 44:32principality, Let's do you really believe that?
- 44:35Genesis 6 says the sons of God took the daughters of men.
- 44:38Do you really believe that? And so the pushback came and you
- 44:42get a little ostracized until you realize there's another
- 44:45group out there that is open to it.
- 44:47And what that did for me is, yes, not only is there awakening
- 44:51and I 100% agree with you, but for me personally, it did
- 44:56something else. It awakened me to, if I can see
- 44:59the reality of the spiritual warfare that we wage and it's
- 45:05real, why don't I feel the realness of the communion with
- 45:11the Holy Spirit? You know what I mean?
- 45:14In the same way that it's just as real to me.
- 45:17I know he's there. I believe him.
- 45:18I absolutely have 100% faith that I'm sealed by the Spirit of
- 45:21God and that Jesus Christ dwells in me.
- 45:26But there are those moments when I feel like, Lord, I don't think
- 45:32I'm reaching you. You know, I don't feel connected
- 45:36to you. Is it because I've put those
- 45:40blinders on for so long to the spiritual, to the supernatural,
- 45:44that I even included you in some small degree?
- 45:47I can read the words of salvation, believe on the Lord
- 45:51Jesus Christ, and thou should be saved.
- 45:52And I did, and that's great. But I want to know him, like
- 45:56Paul said, and the power of his resurrection.
- 45:59You know, I want to know that communion so that when I have a
- 46:02thought, I feel like I'm talking to my wife and we're that close
- 46:08and we're in that knit together like David and his close friend.
- 46:12So I feel that that awakening is happening in both areas.
- 46:17An awareness of the spiritual battle and hopefully an
- 46:21awareness of how much we need to be praying and in constant
- 46:24communication with the Lord and feeling his presence.
- 46:27Not in a weird, goofy emotional way, but if you get emotional
- 46:31about it, that's fine. But in but in a real sense of
- 46:34Lauren, I know you hear me, and I know you're there, and I'm
- 46:37ready to hear what you have to say to me.
- 46:40Scott, that is so good. I mean, we're getting to the
- 46:43crux of the issue, which is personal relationship.
- 46:46Like how are we, you think of, think of the word relationship,
- 46:50how you are relating to another, right?
- 46:54And the exchange of information, is it the via negativity or is
- 46:57this a good thing, right? Because all of us have
- 47:01experience with with both and there's some Gray areas in
- 47:04between, don't get me wrong. But I think about pursuing God
- 47:09when when it's unpopular, reaching out to him in the
- 47:13desperate lows and not forgetting, not even missing a
- 47:17beat. When you get that breakthrough
- 47:19and you get that answer prayer, you know, it's kind of like the
- 47:21apostle. He says, Lord, don't give me so
- 47:24much that that I'm rich and I just forget about you, but don't
- 47:28bring me so little that I have to dishonor you because I have
- 47:32to go and do things that are going to bring me a bad
- 47:35reputation. And so there's like this
- 47:37constant balance, right in the the New Testament author, the
- 47:40apostle Paul talks about I've learned to a base right.
- 47:44Contentment is there's much godliness and gain being content
- 47:49with what you have and recognizing the fact.
- 47:52You know, I've been thinking about some stuff, Scott.
- 47:53I I think all the time. Oh yeah, I tell my team I'm a
- 47:57visionary. Help me make it happen, right?
- 47:59Because I'm like, I'm there, we're tapping in.
- 48:04And so I'm thinking about, you know, you have these rich and
- 48:08these powerful people in the earth and people want to mimic
- 48:10their moves and they want to, they want to look like them and
- 48:13talk like them, right? And, and here's the new big
- 48:15business platform idea of how to make this much money.
- 48:19Blah. And it's like, man, God, I was,
- 48:22I was inquiring because he God just meets my needs.
- 48:26He has humbled me so much in the last like 2 years in particular.
- 48:30Never left me hanging, but I've white knuckled it.
- 48:33Yeah. And I'm asking I'm like God,
- 48:35Well, what is it with these other people?
- 48:36You told me don't be envious of those who get I'll gain.
- 48:41You know what I mean. Those who are making it the
- 48:42wrong way. I'm like, what's happening
- 48:44there? And he's he was literally
- 48:47because the Holy Spirit reminds us of all things written about
- 48:50the Christ. The Christ is every yacht and
- 48:53title is about him. He's the volume of the book,
- 48:55right? And there's so much more than
- 48:57just the book because the Bible says the word that's eternally
- 49:00settled in heaven. The pages, you can take a
- 49:03Sharpie marker and Mandela Effect.
- 49:05I'm going to change all of these Bibles, right?
- 49:08But I started thinking about this and my God, what is the
- 49:11case here? And he said what has been long
- 49:14and difficult for you and what you've ran to me and inquired
- 49:19about and you've pressed in and you've struggled and you've
- 49:22wrestled and you've kicked and screamed at times.
- 49:25They, they have no engagement with that relation to me.
- 49:29I don't know them that way. And some of their biggest
- 49:31regrets are going to be they wish they would have rejected
- 49:37those pleasures, rejected the streamline and, and, and the the
- 49:41overwhelming fruit of their labor on this earth and had an
- 49:46opportunity to wrestle with me. And I'm like, my paradigm just
- 49:52shifted. I I'm not jealous or envious or
- 49:55not that I was like overly jealous or envious.
- 49:56But you look around and be like, why are they so wrong?
- 50:00But it looks so right. Right.
- 50:03You know, and God was showing me he's like, listen, those who I'm
- 50:07humbling, I'm allowing to to learn the hard way.
- 50:11You're never going to fold and I can trust you.
- 50:14Yes, we've been unbroken. And this is like 11 years into
- 50:19my walk with Christ, like people think I'm like mature and I got
- 50:22and I'm still asking the basics like God, how do I write?
- 50:27How do I deal with this? But I think about relating the
- 50:31relationship like he knows me. He knows I weep.
- 50:34He knows I have an attitude sometimes.
- 50:36He knows I'm not the easiest right to to teach things to.
- 50:40I'm a little bit stubborn and that I'm a little bit like Peter
- 50:44sometimes I can't just shut up, you know, I got to say I got to
- 50:47bust out of the seam sometimes. But he knows this about me.
- 50:52And and as a personal thing that like vulnerability is a weapon.
- 50:58The enemy will try to make you think that spilling your guts
- 51:03for God is weak or if a man weeps, it's weak or if right.
- 51:10I don't believe in being a crybaby.
- 51:14I'm a man's man. But I also believe when we come
- 51:17to God, we come correct like God.
- 51:19I sinned. I did it this way, right.
- 51:21I don't like it. I don't want to feel like that.
- 51:25And sometimes we have to wait on him sometimes immediately he
- 51:28he's posted ready and willing to do the work that needs to be
- 51:33done for the perfecting of what he's calling you for in Christ.
- 51:36And I look at all of this, Scott, as just we need to be
- 51:42able to have these conversations and encourage people.
- 51:45You're not alone. It's not weird.
- 51:48Yeah. Doesn't matter if it's not
- 51:49popular, if, if all of your friends are not doing that on a
- 51:52Friday or Saturday, if they're not wrestling through their
- 51:55value or what happened to them or who they really are.
- 51:59Because the world will tell you, oh, you have, you know, DID,
- 52:03right, DSM 5 yourself, right. Or they'll tell you, oh, you got
- 52:06panic. I, I hear this a lot.
- 52:08I'm anxious. I got panic.
- 52:09Order a panic disorder, right? And I'm like, my God, like taste
- 52:15him and see that he's good. It doesn't mean it's easy and
- 52:18it's always pleasant, but he is good.
- 52:22Yeah, You know, we, we dance around a dirty word in
- 52:28Christianity because we don't like it and it's suffering, you
- 52:33know, that that here I am 62 years old and I, I'm, I don't
- 52:41believe I have truly suffered, but I'm amazed at how unwilling
- 52:45people are to put on that mantle when it literally says in the
- 52:52Scriptures, it is not only given on your behalf to believe on
- 52:56him, but to suffer for his sake. You know, in Philippians, case
- 52:59in point, I'm going to use myself because I can, I can
- 53:02preach against myself. I have the misfortune of being
- 53:06from Louisiana, so I'll eat anything that won't eat me
- 53:08first, you know, and I love to eat.
- 53:12But fasting was such a part of the lives of the early church
- 53:19and of Christ himself, and it never entered my mind to
- 53:23incorporate that into my own spiritual walk.
- 53:26And earlier when I was talking about wanting to know the Lord
- 53:29and feeling communion with Him and feeling that relationship,
- 53:33which is exactly what it is when you describe that, a personal
- 53:35relationship. I have it for salvation and I
- 53:38understand it theologically and judicially, but to really feel
- 53:45it and know it in that deeper sense is another thing.
- 53:48So a dear couple that are older than me, but have supported us
- 53:53from the very beginning in my ministry.
- 53:56I, I know they're going to have crowns in, in heaven for the
- 54:00work they've done. They, they've been the sucker of
- 54:02many. And the, the wife of this couple
- 54:07developed Alzheimer's and went through a pretty bad period of
- 54:11time and she recently passed. And so her husband phoned me up
- 54:18on a Sunday to say we've contacted Hospice and I just
- 54:22want you to know it won't be much longer before she goes to
- 54:26be with the Lord. And while they're both saved and
- 54:28absolutely have a knew they had a marvelous future ahead of her,
- 54:33I thought, well, you know what, this is a perfect time for me to
- 54:36fast and pray for her, whether it's the Lord is going to
- 54:40deliver her or end her suffering and bring her home.
- 54:43I wanted his will. And so I did that and three days
- 54:50later she did pass. But while I was fasting, I felt
- 54:56closer in that communion because it was not just a fast of food,
- 55:01it was a fast of social media. I, you know, the phone is only
- 55:05on now until if I get an emergency call, everything else
- 55:09is off. And I'm not going to go look at
- 55:12social media and I'm not going to check emails.
- 55:14I'm just going to pray and fast. And, you know, Christ did it for
- 55:1840 days. I just managed to do it for
- 55:20three. But in that time it made me
- 55:24realize how that should be an integral part of our walk
- 55:29something whether it's a fast of, of your iPad or a fast of
- 55:32your food or whatever. And four other people had Vicki
- 55:36Joy Anderson on recently where she literally talked about she
- 55:39had to fast for 10 days, but she had to pick someone to pray for,
- 55:43you know, according to her friend.
- 55:45So all of that to say, it's part of that spiritual supernatural
- 55:51that we, we've been, it's been buried in traditional church
- 55:56churchianity And it, it's like I, I grew up with a group that
- 56:04since Paul's the apostle of the Gentiles and we're Gentiles,
- 56:07then the 13 epistles he wrote is directed to the church, all the
- 56:11Bible's for us, but it's all written to us.
- 56:13And and I've taught that for many years, but then every few
- 56:17pages in Paul's very epistles, he says as it is written, as it
- 56:22is written, as it is written, he's pointing us back to the Old
- 56:26Testament. He's pointing us back to look at
- 56:28these things through the lens of his writing.
- 56:31And he said, consider what I say and the Lord give the
- 56:33understanding, but it's because the Holy Spirit is talking to
- 56:36us. So anyway, all that to say that
- 56:40you can get so legalistic, you know that you're missing the
- 56:44real spiritual engagement we should be having both in the
- 56:49battle and in the fellowship. Scott, Man.
- 56:53We we could do this. We're flowing, man.
- 56:57We are flowing in the spirit because I've been thinking about
- 57:00the Exodus and I'm like God saved people remove them right
- 57:07before he gave them the law, right?
- 57:09And right now we have the legalistic mindset saying you
- 57:13can't do that. You can't.
- 57:14And I'm listen, I'm not endorsing the LGBTQ.
- 57:17I'm not endorsing doing drugs and drinking and womanizing.
- 57:21I'm not endorsing any of that. The Bible says we do not
- 57:24practice sin, we practice righteousness.
- 57:26But if a righteous man falleth 7 times, he get back up, yes.
- 57:31So it's not a license to SIN. But I.
- 57:33Think a lot of times this is corporately right and I love
- 57:36finding people that understand these these meatier things
- 57:39because this does navigate how we walk, right?
- 57:42That this this is our reputation, right.
- 57:44It's not just on air. It's like, what does this guy
- 57:46really like to spend time with? I have people that come and test
- 57:49me. They want to come and write.
- 57:51Aaron comes in in his state at my house.
- 57:53I went and stayed at his house. He's on the team now, by the
- 57:55way, on the MMS and we have people that come from different
- 57:59states to get together to do prayer meetings.
- 58:01Like I want to see what you're all about and I'm always like, I
- 58:03want to I want to see you in the flash.
- 58:05I want to I want right. It's not like some like, oh,
- 58:09macho thing, but it's like, man, I, I want to test your spirit.
- 58:11I want to spend time with you. There's nothing like getting
- 58:14together with no agenda. Yeah, spending some time and,
- 58:18and entering into some prayer and just saying, you know what,
- 58:20I see you. You know, we have no idea what
- 58:24God will do if we make ourselves available.
- 58:26But but I've been thinking about how God delivered the people in
- 58:31the Exodus and it's it's hardship and deprivation for
- 58:35them, right? It's by design.
- 58:37They're they're seeking food. They go there, they get locked
- 58:41in, right? They become slaves because
- 58:43they're looking for food, right? And the richest, the rich
- 58:46nations, they have the food Egypt at this time.
- 58:49And then God unlocks them after 400 years, miraculously sends a
- 58:54man with a stutter who needed someone to partner with him
- 58:57because he couldn't successfully communicate the mission signs
- 59:01and wonders, right. God, literally the Exodus and
- 59:04even some of the Egyptians are a part of this Exodus, in my
- 59:07opinion. I think that is very
- 59:09interesting, but I'm not going to get into all of it tonight.
- 59:11But they're they're moving out. And they're still complaining.
- 59:18Wanting the foods of Egypt food got them locked up.
- 59:21They still want the food when they're being liberated and it
- 59:24all looks rough and nasty and difficult, right?
- 59:27And I'm, I'm zoomed out in like street preacher mode right now.
- 59:30Like I don't even know why, but I think because I, we don't want
- 59:33to spend hours trying to qualify all these details with, with the
- 59:35time slot we have tonight, but we can do that in the future.
- 59:37Like we can get in and have fun, right?
- 59:39Love the word of God, but then we see the Lord deliver a
- 59:44standard to the people. In the midst of like some.
- 59:48Of the worst things you can do, like what's #1 like love the
- 59:52Lord you got behind your heart, bodies all.
- 59:54And like they're worshipping A calf, right?
- 59:57And he still. Delivers, you know now, Moses.
- 59:59Got gets angry and tosses the first set.
- 1:00:01But what I'm getting at here is that shouldn't be too different
- 1:00:06than our process with him. Just because you're you're in a
- 1:00:09church family or you show up to the building doesn't mean
- 1:00:14you're. Doing it the right way.
- 1:00:16Like, people can have the right doctrine, but they can operate
- 1:00:19the wrong way. They can be, they can be nasty
- 1:00:21people, but they could say the right thing.
- 1:00:24And I've encountered people like this.
- 1:00:25And then there's other people who who are like, I don't know
- 1:00:28what's going on. I don't know how to make sense
- 1:00:30of this. I just, I just know I need the
- 1:00:32purity and the love of God in my life.
- 1:00:34I'm a Wretch who can, who can help me.
- 1:00:37And then you see them in the secret places where there's no
- 1:00:40camera, no microphone, and they're, man, they're just
- 1:00:42giving it all away to help, help the needs of somebody else.
- 1:00:45Yeah. And they're like, man, I I.
- 1:00:47Want I. Want to be right.
- 1:00:49I want to feel like I belong. I want to feel like I'm
- 1:00:51accepted. I, I hang with people like this.
- 1:00:55I've seen some stuff in my short time on this earth.
- 1:00:59I've seen some stuff and I think about this, Scott, is God going
- 1:01:05to do anything terribly different if if we are dealing
- 1:01:08with SRA at at the level that I believe we are and there's all
- 1:01:13of this exposing to happen within the political sphere and
- 1:01:16we're we're coming into the end times.
- 1:01:18There's so many things we could read about the end of the ages,
- 1:01:21plural, in my opinion, that we're building the momentum for.
- 1:01:28God is going to deliver his people.
- 1:01:30It's probably not going to look terribly different than other
- 1:01:32times he delivered his people, although he has some new things
- 1:01:37that that we know are written for the age to come that that
- 1:01:42are unlike anything before. I think our exodus is going to
- 1:01:45be so great, Scott, come out of Babylon, right?
- 1:01:48Yes, Babylon. Let's define Babylon.
- 1:01:50What do you? Mean Rod stick around.
- 1:01:52We'll we'll we'll continue talking about this stuff.
- 1:01:54But right, Scott is what? What might that look like?
- 1:01:59So tell me, Scott, from your perspective, like what are you
- 1:02:01seeing right now? Like we've we've covered the
- 1:02:03information's growing people in the most peculiar places are
- 1:02:06learning, the somebodies are becoming nobodies and the
- 1:02:10nobodies are kind of dwindling away.
- 1:02:12What do you do with all this? What time do you think that
- 1:02:14we're in? So I here's what I think.
- 1:02:17You know, when after Christ ascended up and then Pentecost
- 1:02:23happened, the Holy Spirit was poured out and they began to
- 1:02:28speak in other languages. So that was the first
- 1:02:34translation, you know, of the word of God was at Pentecost,
- 1:02:38every nation under heaven which was Jews gathered, but they were
- 1:02:41still all speaking their languages from their countries.
- 1:02:45And when they accused them of being drunk, Peter said, no,
- 1:02:49it's just 9:00. But this is that which was
- 1:02:53spoken by the prophet Joel. And it begins to cite Joel too,
- 1:02:57which says that in the last days I will pour out my spirit upon
- 1:03:02my servants and my handmaidens and your young mental dream
- 1:03:05dreams and on and on. I'm, I'm not doing a good job of
- 1:03:08quoting it, but people know what I'm talking about in Acts 2 and
- 1:03:11Joel two. Well, I think we're there
- 1:03:15because Peter mentioned it at that moment.
- 1:03:21And this is where my background in studying the Scriptures
- 1:03:25differs a little bit from some because of my background where I
- 1:03:29see a distinctive program between the nation Israel and
- 1:03:33the Gentile world where God was calling them as a nation under
- 1:03:37salvation and they rejected Messiah.
- 1:03:40And then he's still going to restore them.
- 1:03:42He has promises with them, He has covenants with them, and
- 1:03:44they will be fulfilled. But the the focus went from
- 1:03:48Israel to the world through Paul.
- 1:03:51Therefore the gospel went from being centered into a nation to
- 1:03:56all men. And during that time when Peter
- 1:04:00preached that he didn't know yet that it was going to go to all
- 1:04:03men. So he was thinking they're about
- 1:04:06to go into the time of Jacob's trouble.
- 1:04:09He they literally asked him in Acts 1, Lord, wilt thou at this
- 1:04:12time restore again the Kingdom to Israel?
- 1:04:14So they were expecting the the millennial reign to begin after
- 1:04:18seven years of tribulation and it didn't happen.
- 1:04:22There was a pause in the program as far as I'm concerned.
- 1:04:25And I've done studies about the 70 weeks of Daniel and all that
- 1:04:28stuff. People can go look it up.
- 1:04:31But that pause for me is coming to an end.
- 1:04:34And I believe it's the two days of Hosea chapter 6.
- 1:04:38The day with the Lords is 1000 years, second Peter 3.
- 1:04:41So if you put it all together, it's been 2 days of Israel being
- 1:04:45blinded and God hiding his face from them as a nation and he was
- 1:04:50reaching all the world with the message of grace when he's going
- 1:04:53to deal with them again as a people and he's about to
- 1:04:56nationally, not just Jews getting saved because Jews can
- 1:04:58get saved anytime just like we can.
- 1:05:00But when he's dealing with them as a nation again, it appears
- 1:05:04that there's going to be an incursion of Gog and Magog and
- 1:05:08then 144,000 sealed servants are going to begin preaching the
- 1:05:12same message the 12 were preaching.
- 1:05:16Well, as far as I'm concerned, the church is going to be have
- 1:05:18to, has to be removed because the current church is in the way
- 1:05:22of that program. We have a message of grace.
- 1:05:25They have a message that's slightly different.
- 1:05:27They have a future atonement. We have a past atonement.
- 1:05:30So anyway, without all that theology bogging us down the to
- 1:05:35me, we're at the end of the second day.
- 1:05:38It's about the sun's about to set and we're going to be taken
- 1:05:42out of the way. 144,000 are going to be sealed and they're
- 1:05:45going to begin to do signs and wonders again.
- 1:05:47Two witnesses are going to appear.
- 1:05:49So I think we're in the time when he is pouring out his
- 1:05:52spirit again on his handmaids. And while for us that might just
- 1:05:56partly be this wisdom and knowledge that we're discussing
- 1:05:59like Daniel 12, eventually it's going to become even more
- 1:06:03supernatural in the way that it was with the prophets and in the
- 1:06:08way it shall be. Because he says just like you
- 1:06:12said the Jews required signs that he's going to do signs and
- 1:06:14wonders like he did in Exodus, Dunamis power, resurrection.
- 1:06:18Power. All types of yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:20In other words, a very real. Manifestation of His might to a
- 1:06:24people that needed a sign to see it.
- 1:06:27Remember Christ said blessed are those that believe and did not
- 1:06:30see. So we're the ones that don't see
- 1:06:33the real signs. In the same way, I'm not talking
- 1:06:35about we don't see miracles, because we do, but I'm talking
- 1:06:38about, you know, the parting of the Red Sea and that kind of
- 1:06:41thing that's going to happen again.
- 1:06:44And so we're right on the verge of that.
- 1:06:46That's where I believe we stand in time.
- 1:06:48You know, That's super. Interesting perspective.
- 1:06:51I've heard a good bit of what's out there and I don't know if
- 1:06:54you're familiar with a gentleman named Dan Duvall from Broad
- 1:06:57Ministries. I'm not he's he's awesome.
- 1:07:00Yeah, he's been on a number of times.
- 1:07:02I, I have yet a couple of recordings with him now to
- 1:07:05release in the coming weeks, but I got a lot of respect for him
- 1:07:08because he pushes the envelope. I always say, you know, in our
- 1:07:11private conversations and publicly, I'm like, Dan, you're,
- 1:07:13you're kind of the tip of a spear in a lot of ways, right?
- 1:07:18You're, you're, you're ahead of the curve.
- 1:07:21What he was talking about with me on air 3-4 years ago is what
- 1:07:26the general consensus is now. I'm podcasting and I'm not
- 1:07:29saying that to lay toot my own horn, but we were having public
- 1:07:32conversations about what people are starting to agree with years
- 1:07:36ago. And so I'm like, you know, track
- 1:07:39record wise, I'm like, well, do you want to hear what we're
- 1:07:41talking about right now? Because it we might be pretty
- 1:07:44close to the echo chamber growing in significance within
- 1:07:47three or four more years from now.
- 1:07:49And he has some very similar perspectives in the sense where
- 1:07:53a lot of the times we've been taught this theology as a
- 1:07:56corporate body that there's a fire and all's you're giving is
- 1:08:01a box of matches, right? You can run away so you don't
- 1:08:03get burnt, or you can take your match and just make the fire
- 1:08:06bigger because you're looking at it going, oh, well, it's all
- 1:08:09going to burn anyway, right. So I might as well contribute to
- 1:08:11the burn when really God, I I believe personally and I agree
- 1:08:16with kind of what you're saying and what with what Dan says.
- 1:08:19And we're not going to unpack all the theology to qualify
- 1:08:22this, but you know, these are climactical, you know, things
- 1:08:24that we're we're trying to convey to each other that in
- 1:08:27agreeance, the fire hose mentality, like did you ever
- 1:08:32think that you're supposed to occupy till he comes?
- 1:08:35We're not just handing over territory.
- 1:08:37We're not rolling over right to just whatever we're supposed to
- 1:08:41be set apart. We're supposed to be.
- 1:08:44Failing forward, let's just be honest.
- 1:08:46We can't say we have no sin and deceive ourselves.
- 1:08:48We don't practice sin, we're eliminating.
- 1:08:53That we're. We're we're.
- 1:08:54Walking a tight and narrow And then are we making a stand
- 1:09:01that's worthy to be written in the Lamb's book of life?
- 1:09:04Yeah. Because he's not asking us to.
- 1:09:08Try to cure the fire issue with using fire.
- 1:09:12We don't. It's right there in the word
- 1:09:15guys, right? Don't overcome evil with good,
- 1:09:19right? Don't return evil for evil.
- 1:09:22Turn the other cheeks off and I'm not talking about be a be a
- 1:09:25victim, be a bully. Like there's a reason why there
- 1:09:27was a certain amount of men who had swords with them and Jesus
- 1:09:30was like, OK, that's enough. Like one 1/3 of you have a
- 1:09:33weapon. That's enough, right?
- 1:09:35We're not militant. Like we have lasers and like
- 1:09:38guns and going crazy. But he understood the the
- 1:09:41simplicity of, OK, we're strapped, you know, but that's
- 1:09:44not the measure of our protection.
- 1:09:45That's not our full completed order in the way that we work.
- 1:09:49That has a season. It has a reason.
- 1:09:51And so I look at it like that, Scott, where I'm looking,
- 1:09:55because I believe God is going to do wonderful things.
- 1:09:58And I think that he's going to perplex the wise.
- 1:10:02Yes. And I think there's going to be
- 1:10:04some removal of things that we thought couldn't be done.
- 1:10:08And he's going to be like, that's light work.
- 1:10:11Yeah. He's the king of kings.
- 1:10:12Like what? We're just one little generation
- 1:10:16who've seen these big, powerful companies and, and powerful
- 1:10:19figures in the world and we think they're, they're Titans
- 1:10:22and they can't be removed or they can't be humbled or chopped
- 1:10:25down or that, you know, and, and it's like, man, if you look at
- 1:10:27all of history, like this is my Newt in the big picture.
- 1:10:30But God is going to show us some stuff, I believe within this
- 1:10:33generation that is going to cause us to say this is the God
- 1:10:38we wish to worship. We need to learn to come correct
- 1:10:40again. No more religion, no more
- 1:10:42dancing around. I don't care about production.
- 1:10:44I don't care about what the lice look like.
- 1:10:45And I'm not trying to disrespect the church, but I'm also we need
- 1:10:48to get to the point where we we can take a stand that warns
- 1:10:52people with love and with intention that it you can do
- 1:10:57that, but that's not the full measure.
- 1:11:00If anybody's hearing my voice right now from the Bible's
- 1:11:02mystery podcast listeners and that is your experience and you
- 1:11:05know, there's something deeper and you want to go, you want to
- 1:11:08go further. You want to experience God more.
- 1:11:10But you're watching what looks to be like a well planned out
- 1:11:13play with a bunch of actors and you don't know how much they
- 1:11:16make taking place in front of you.
- 1:11:18I want you to go pray in secret. I want you to close your door
- 1:11:22and I want you to say, God, I need you to take me deeper and
- 1:11:27to show me what kind of season we're coming into because I
- 1:11:30don't want to get this wrong. I don't want to miss what you're
- 1:11:33calling me to do. I want to get on board with the
- 1:11:36direction you're moving. And I think he's moving in a
- 1:11:39direction of exposing the enemy, increasing.
- 1:11:43In knowledge for the body's. Sake and cultivating.
- 1:11:47An army of Joshua. 'S and David's no singularity
- 1:11:51here. There's many of us who are
- 1:11:53rising up and saying let's get back to the basics, let's get
- 1:11:58this right. We want an answer in season and
- 1:12:01out of season, man. Well.
- 1:12:05You just gave me my inspiration for another podcast episode when
- 1:12:08you said Occupy till I come and something clicked in my head and
- 1:12:12ate. The more you talked, it
- 1:12:13expounded it even more. And here's what came to my mind.
- 1:12:17Occupy enemy territory Exactly, you know.
- 1:12:22In that parable. He said the man went to in a far
- 1:12:26country to receive for himself a Kingdom and to return.
- 1:12:29That's the Kingdom of heaven which is on the earth.
- 1:12:32It's there. He's going to get it to come
- 1:12:33back. So we occupied till he comes.
- 1:12:36And in that time he also said from the days of John the
- 1:12:39Baptist till now, the Kingdom of heaven sufferer the violence and
- 1:12:43the violent take it by force. Matthew 12.
- 1:12:46He's making a statement. Yes, we.
- 1:12:49Are here in. Enemy occupied territory and
- 1:12:52we're to occupy we're to hold the line, you know, until he
- 1:12:56returns. He's saying, look, just proclaim
- 1:12:59the the gospel, demonstrate the love of Christ, because I'm
- 1:13:02coming back and when I come back, it's no more Mr. Nice Guy,
- 1:13:06you know, coming back with wrath, coming back with angels
- 1:13:09and flaming fire tank and vengeance on them that know not
- 1:13:11God. So our job is to show the love
- 1:13:14while we can, because it's it's not going to be grace after
- 1:13:18we're gone. It's going to be whosoever shall
- 1:13:22call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved is still true.
- 1:13:25But they're going to have to go through great adversity and
- 1:13:27great deception in order to avoid taking the mark of the
- 1:13:31beast. So yeah, I think, I think we're
- 1:13:34very close. And if you've talked to Ryan
- 1:13:37Peterson before about this, you know that he opened my eyes to
- 1:13:41the, the six seals of the Book of Revelation or 7 seals rather,
- 1:13:44that five of them are already opened.
- 1:13:48And I don't know if you would call him discussing that.
- 1:13:51But when you talk about the four horsemen and the, and the, the
- 1:13:54famine and the earthquakes and everything else that's been
- 1:13:57going on for 2000 years, he opened those seals the moment he
- 1:14:00ascended up to the Father. We're waiting on the 6th seal to
- 1:14:03be opened. And then the 7th seal is the the
- 1:14:06rest of the wrath real quick like.
- 1:14:09The multi layered effect. So I started saying a couple
- 1:14:12years ago, everything's multi layered and this is like
- 1:14:14experiential for me. And then I'm like the multi
- 1:14:17layered effect because there's enough effects taking place
- 1:14:21where I'm starting to understand the multi layered reality and
- 1:14:25enough effects start to build the reality.
- 1:14:27So these are like some of the things that Rod talks about.
- 1:14:30Yeah. And my wife has heard it enough
- 1:14:31times where she's just like, shut up.
- 1:14:33She's like, go tell somebody else.
- 1:14:35Right. But OK, so you talked about like
- 1:14:37famine. So this multi layered reality, I
- 1:14:40think that there's climaxes on it.
- 1:14:41And I think you're you're you're right.
- 1:14:43Or what you're referencing that Ryan's talking about right now.
- 1:14:46We're in a famine because a majority of the food that is
- 1:14:49available for people, even though they look morbidly obese
- 1:14:52at times, Right. Americans, most of them or or
- 1:14:55just out of shape even slightly. You're not getting the nutrients
- 1:15:00you're supposed to get. True.
- 1:15:02They have genetically modified the origins.
- 1:15:05The Bible says to eat the seed with the flesh of the fruit.
- 1:15:09It's in there. Yes.
- 1:15:10Yeah. We don't do that, do we?
- 1:15:12Seedless watermelons are now conveniently at Costco.
- 1:15:15I should you know, I'm not going to go too far on this, but so
- 1:15:19we're experiencing the perpetuation of feministic
- 1:15:23spiritual warfare from many regions of occupied space from
- 1:15:30the enemy's territory as we like to say that that are continuing
- 1:15:34to to influence and to try to steal.
- 1:15:39It's so much. It's not just one way, it's.
- 1:15:41Not like famine is exclusive to no food.
- 1:15:45It's the Great Depression everybody's in line for like a
- 1:15:47for a soup truck. I think we're in a famine right
- 1:15:50now. We are and and a famine of the
- 1:15:52word. Of God, Yeah, multi layered.
- 1:15:55Reality like there's so many this is this is what I love
- 1:15:59figuring out so OK I guess we kind of wind down a little bit
- 1:16:03right sure what would be Scott I'm.
- 1:16:05Going to ask you this kind of. Final question, what do you
- 1:16:08think is the most important message for the millennial
- 1:16:11generation today? Like where we're at right now,
- 1:16:13Everything you believe in, you're experiencing that.
- 1:16:16You know, if this was the last time you had the mic, what would
- 1:16:20be the most important thing you'd get out to them?
- 1:16:23Deception is. Is prevalent now, and it's the
- 1:16:28first thing Jesus said about these times in Matthew 24.
- 1:16:31Be not deceived. So we're trying to say that the
- 1:16:38supernatural world is about to be revealed in.
- 1:16:42A way it hasn't been. Before the veil is going to be
- 1:16:45pulled back and we're going to begin to see things are going to
- 1:16:49going to be that will be attempted to be explained as
- 1:16:53extraterrestrial space brothers or what have you and that
- 1:16:59they're aliens come to help humanity better themselves.
- 1:17:02And if you take this injection or if you take this pill or
- 1:17:06whatever they're selling, you're going to become the uberman
- 1:17:10human 2 point O that is the strong delusion that's coming.
- 1:17:14In my opinion, the only antidote is a relationship with the Lord
- 1:17:18Jesus Christ because if you are in him, you're bought with a
- 1:17:23price and he can't deny himself. He will not deny his own and we
- 1:17:28might even fail to see some of the deception as believers, but
- 1:17:33we will never be deceived to the point where we take the mark.
- 1:17:37I believe in the pre. Tribulation.
- 1:17:39Rapture. Personally, so I believe that
- 1:17:41we'll go out before that, but even if it's not true, we won't
- 1:17:45be deceived, He said. If it was possible, it could
- 1:17:48deceive the very elect. Well, it's not possible.
- 1:17:50So the bottom line is, since that is coming and the stage is
- 1:17:54being set now, like you said, with with even movies and media
- 1:17:58showing preconditioning us to accept this, You know, the idea
- 1:18:02of Superman heroes, Marvel, the idea of aliens, you know, being
- 1:18:08made popularized in the Star Wars and Star Trek and all that
- 1:18:11stuff. Ultimately, it's going to seem
- 1:18:14like, oh, this is great. This is better than what we'd
- 1:18:16hoped for because it's all the things that TV has conditioned
- 1:18:19us to believe in. And these are good guys.
- 1:18:21We're going to like them. So I think the the last thing I
- 1:18:26would say to people is we need to show you Christ warned us
- 1:18:30about this, The prophets warned us about this.
- 1:18:32It's in the Bible. Go take a look.
- 1:18:35There were giants, the bones are there.
- 1:18:37There were Dragons that the evidence is there.
- 1:18:40Don't trust what science, falsely so-called is telling
- 1:18:43you. Trust the word of God.
- 1:18:45It's the only thing you can rely on.
- 1:18:46And for heaven's sake, don't trust government.
- 1:18:52Powerful I. Concur.
- 1:18:56So good. Yeah.
- 1:19:01I mean, before we land this, do you have a last question for me?
- 1:19:06I do. And that was.
- 1:19:09And we may not have time and we can this will give me a good
- 1:19:11excuse to have you back. But your near death experience,
- 1:19:15those are always to me, powerful testimonies.
- 1:19:18Not it's not because of the experience.
- 1:19:20And we want to oh, ah, wow, you saw a light.
- 1:19:23That's not my aim. My aim is to say what?
- 1:19:26What did that do to bring you to a saving knowledge of Jesus
- 1:19:30Christ? You know, yeah, I think one of
- 1:19:32the most. Emotional episodes I ever did
- 1:19:34well, I actually started busting out weeping was like 1 early one
- 1:19:40hundreds like after 100 for sure.
- 1:19:42But it was where Carly, who's on the team now, interviews me and
- 1:19:47I interviewed her a bunch of times and it just broke, broke
- 1:19:50the podcast airspace for for people that have been had
- 1:19:57difficult upbringings that are starting to wake up to the
- 1:19:59reality of what happened to them.
- 1:20:01But anyway, she comes on and interviews me.
- 1:20:02I called it the pressure seat and pressure seed.
- 1:20:08And I've talked about my. Near death, a number.
- 1:20:12Of times I talked about it with Josh Peck, I've talked about it
- 1:20:14on That's a Frengie. All these other other shows.
- 1:20:18It's not a fancy. Story I didn't see a.
- 1:20:20Bright light I didn't have. Some wild.
- 1:20:24Encounter like I've hear people who have that stuff happen and
- 1:20:28I'm like, that's great. Like mine was super depressing.
- 1:20:32It was dark. I had PTSD for years after it.
- 1:20:36And I came to the same revelation that that I shared
- 1:20:40then is what is currently and ever present with me is that the
- 1:20:44mercy of God was on me to wake me up out of.
- 1:20:47Yeah. I mean, I'm giving you the short
- 1:20:49version, Scott, but that's OK. I got beat up by a.
- 1:20:52Bunch of guys I was. Swollen from the back of my ear
- 1:20:55to, you know, the tip of my nose.
- 1:20:57Man, I was swollen shut my eyes and and jaw and ears for weeks.
- 1:21:01Like I got pulmonized by these guys.
- 1:21:05I was pummeled bad and that woke me up because at 1920 years old,
- 1:21:16I wasn't. Thinking about I'm going.
- 1:21:18To die, you think you're invincible.
- 1:21:19It's just like you're trying to figure out life, you know?
- 1:21:22And I was handsome and I was built and I had no issues with
- 1:21:25being popular and and you know, the cool guy with a bag of weed.
- 1:21:29I was just this is this is the story.
- 1:21:31I don't do any of that now believe in any of that.
- 1:21:34But at that time, that's the way I was living.
- 1:21:36And God used a major suffering experience to get me to rethink
- 1:21:44about the course of my life. And so I never said I died
- 1:21:50because I. When I say.
- 1:21:52The term death, I think of completely coming out of your
- 1:21:55body and crossing over the veil, whatever you want to call it,
- 1:21:57arriving right absent with the body present with the Lord.
- 1:22:00But I started to sit up out of my body like my hips and legs
- 1:22:03never left. But but I I was dealing with
- 1:22:07such a true physical trauma from being stomped into the ground
- 1:22:10that I, I didn't hear anything, didn't see anything.
- 1:22:15It was fuzzy, very uncomfortable space, almost like a thin
- 1:22:19pressure like being in water would feel like.
- 1:22:22And I just remember being stubborn.
- 1:22:24I don't want to come out of my body.
- 1:22:26I don't want to come out of my body.
- 1:22:27I didn't know what the function was.
- 1:22:29I didn't know what so much happened in a short period of
- 1:22:33time here during this experience for me, but God used it.
- 1:22:38He. Used that to.
- 1:22:40I mean, all my other friends are going into the military.
- 1:22:43They're going, you know, into college.
- 1:22:45They're doing all these great things and I'm for a few years,
- 1:22:49I have PTSD isolated. I don't want to be around
- 1:22:53people. I don't want to leave the house.
- 1:22:55Even I'm I'm for years. It stole of my life.
- 1:23:00But what I was returned back was good for that which was evil set
- 1:23:04against me because during that time I looked and I inquired and
- 1:23:09I, I looked at the Bhagavad Gita.
- 1:23:10I looked at the Quran. I looked at, you know, the extra
- 1:23:13biblical books in the Bible. I just I looked at everything,
- 1:23:16all the fringe stuff before it was even like easy to find, like
- 1:23:19the Internet was like a starting place.
- 1:23:22It wasn't wasn't like it is today.
- 1:23:24This is back in My gosh, this is a long time ago now I'm 37, but.
- 1:23:31I land at Jesus. And he starts to minister to me
- 1:23:36through the word and through crying out to him and reading
- 1:23:40that started to undo the PTSD that counselors couldn't do the
- 1:23:44little blue pill couldn't do it. Like, you know, there's all this
- 1:23:46and you know, people are saying, Oh, well, a near death
- 1:23:49encounter, you know, you're just hallucinated these these set of
- 1:23:52events and it's the chemicals in your brain.
- 1:23:54And I'm like, I heard the doctors.
- 1:23:55I'm like, get out of here. Like it's different when you've
- 1:23:58been there. Like you can't tell me nothing
- 1:24:00like I, I can't express to you what that did to me, but God
- 1:24:04walked me through it. It took years to the point where
- 1:24:09I forgive and have prayed many times for each one of them,
- 1:24:13Those guys that did this to me. But it was a turning point where
- 1:24:17he got me off of all those weird little things on the back
- 1:24:21burner. I alluded to my supernatural
- 1:24:23life earlier. I used to put stuff on the back
- 1:24:25burner like, well, it's not popular, there's nobody to talk
- 1:24:28to about it. Just let it go and keep on
- 1:24:29moving forward, right? The near death, there's no back.
- 1:24:34Burner for that it is. Front, front and center.
- 1:24:37So when I had to deal with that, I started Scott then to deal
- 1:24:40with all this other stuff and started to build a worldview
- 1:24:43where it was like the word of God is now authoritative.
- 1:24:47It's it's superlative. It's supreme to me.
- 1:24:49And I'm going to inquire through prayer, through humility,
- 1:24:52through wrecking, just ruining it.
- 1:24:55I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just I've had no good role
- 1:24:57models either. Just I read it and I'm trying to
- 1:25:01figure this out and my near death was such a pivotal point
- 1:25:05to get the man that that I guess all of you get to enjoy through
- 1:25:09a podcast or whatever today. God used it.
- 1:25:14Amen. God used it.
- 1:25:15So yeah, I mean, that's what happened.
- 1:25:19It was I think what we could get into was this idea.
- 1:25:23I I've been thinking Scott, about sub pocket realm effects
- 1:25:27and people having these like lofty wild near death encounters
- 1:25:31and I'm like, they'll come. Back and be like oh God.
- 1:25:36Is like the universe, he's everywhere and like, you know,
- 1:25:40it's all OK, you're just going to be recycled into the light
- 1:25:43force ether, you know, magnitude of of, you know, blah.
- 1:25:47And and I'm like, there's, there's one way, there's a.
- 1:25:52Narrow path. There's a single door in whom
- 1:25:57holds the keys and who glory upon glory, such that we don't
- 1:26:03have the anointing to speak on behalf of the full mysteries of
- 1:26:08the heavens yet, although we pray that we do, just like Paul
- 1:26:10did pray that that I would be able to speak on behalf of the
- 1:26:13mysteries of heaven. And so I think.
- 1:26:16That there's a lot of like. Enemy kind of honing in and
- 1:26:21manipulating people's near death encounter so that they come back
- 1:26:24with these wild experiences that lead people to stress.
- 1:26:26I mean, I believe that I do. Some people may disagree with
- 1:26:29me, but I'm willing to open up to those kind of conversations.
- 1:26:32Look at research, look at statistics, look at, you know,
- 1:26:36because I've heard some stuff where I'm like, my God, I would
- 1:26:40probably feel and live and be different if I had an experience
- 1:26:42like that. Mine was like it's not good.
- 1:26:47You know. But sorry, it was long winded on
- 1:26:49that, but there was there was so much emotion.
- 1:26:51I was trying to, you know, maybe even build a bit of a
- 1:26:53cliffhanger with some stuff we could talk about in the future.
- 1:26:56No, I think that's great. I think that was.
- 1:26:58A perfect synopsis because like you say, you know, people have
- 1:27:03salvation experiences the same way where they, you know, no big
- 1:27:06flashing lights went off. I was, Yeah.
- 1:27:09I wasn't face down in the gut or drunk necessarily.
- 1:27:12I just one day came to realize in a dorm room, I was lost.
- 1:27:18You know, I, I was listening to a Bible tape on lost believers
- 1:27:22and the passage that they read was in John chapter 5 around
- 1:27:27verse 42 or three where Jesus said search the scriptures and
- 1:27:31then you think you have eternal life and they are they which
- 1:27:33testify of me and you will not come to me that you might have
- 1:27:36life. And it was like, that was the
- 1:27:38moment I knew the gospel from a, from a knowledge perspective,
- 1:27:44but I didn't know him. You know, I could have told you
- 1:27:48the words of salvation, but I didn't have a relationship with
- 1:27:51Christ. So there was no big thing that
- 1:27:53went off. It was just me alone in a dorm
- 1:27:55room and on the cassette tape by Brother EC Moore and and
- 1:28:00realizing I'm lost. It was that simple.
- 1:28:03So I, I appreciate a perspective like yours because even though
- 1:28:06you went through this horrible experience.
- 1:28:09Yeah, like you said, other than just sitting up, you didn't want
- 1:28:11to leave the body. You didn't go through all this
- 1:28:13big fancy thing. It just caused you to go.
- 1:28:15Something is missing and I need to find what it is.
- 1:28:19And it LED you to find the Lord. Yeah, man.
- 1:28:23Wow. Well, it's been an honor.
- 1:28:24I mean, for my listeners, since this is a crossover episode, I
- 1:28:28want you to plug in where you can be found.
- 1:28:30And what are you working on, You know, any exciting things coming
- 1:28:33down the pipeline as well? Yeah.
- 1:28:35So we're Bible mysteries. Podcast.com, you can find
- 1:28:39everything you need to know there.
- 1:28:40As far as all our past episodes, we have free episodes.
- 1:28:44We also have a premium subscription if you want bonus
- 1:28:47content and that supports this ministry.
- 1:28:49I also do a series on Rumble and YouTube called Unlock the Bible.
- 1:28:53Now that's more Sunday morning message type.
- 1:28:57Short 30 minutes. It is, yeah, a little structured
- 1:29:02in a little more evangelical kind of, or I, I really, the
- 1:29:06word I should use is exhortation.
- 1:29:09You know, we're not diving into the weird things like UFOs and
- 1:29:12bigfoots and stuff. We're actually just looking into
- 1:29:15things like the Holy Spirit. And the, the last thing we just
- 1:29:19did was about the Lord's Prayer, you know, and it was the one he
- 1:29:23prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, not what he taught
- 1:29:25the disciples to say or to, to, to use as a model.
- 1:29:29So, yeah, unlock the Bible now and then really there's not much
- 1:29:34else coming on the Pike except we're always looking to improve
- 1:29:37content. We're now providing things like
- 1:29:40study guides and in in the show notes and things like that.
- 1:29:44So hopefully we'll continue to get great guests like you and,
- 1:29:48and, and Rodney, tell me what's coming up with you.
- 1:29:50Tell me where people can reach you and about your podcasts and
- 1:29:54or your website. Yeah, so.
- 1:29:58Part time host, producer and creator of the Millennial
- 1:30:01Mustard Seed podcast. I spelled that MILLENNIAL and
- 1:30:08Season 6 this year. And I think by the time this
- 1:30:12episode airs, maybe I'll have like 10 or 12 in the bank, as I
- 1:30:16call it, which are episodes to be edited and scheduled for
- 1:30:20release. We have a lot of people that
- 1:30:23want to, you know, kind of cross pollinate and figure out like
- 1:30:29we're all here and there. There's, there's this bit of
- 1:30:32humility taking place that I've been a part of behind the
- 1:30:35scenes, speaking with all these other amazing hosts and creators
- 1:30:39and guests and coming to the conclusion that we're not
- 1:30:44waiting for anybody else to come along and create, create
- 1:30:48something for the void. We're we're going to do that
- 1:30:50ourselves. So that's kind of what I work
- 1:30:52on. We have a documentary that I've
- 1:30:54been working on for almost a year now, which is a time
- 1:30:57restraint thing starring Dr. Lara Sanger and and Doctor Monzo
- 1:31:01and a number of others. But my book released a year,
- 1:31:06year and a half ago that can be found on Amazon.
- 1:31:09Details of the show notes if you just search me up.
- 1:31:12I'm on all podcast catchers. I don't do anything heavy on
- 1:31:15YouTube or Rumble, although we're looking at engaging a
- 1:31:18little bit more of the video content coming up or right now.
- 1:31:20I'm an old school audio podcaster.
- 1:31:23I do put a couple videos up from time to time that you can watch
- 1:31:26on Spotify, for example. But yeah, we just keep having
- 1:31:31amazing conversations. We're pushing the boundaries on
- 1:31:36all the things that you're really not allowed to talk about
- 1:31:38in the structured place with a complete emphasis on Christ
- 1:31:41being Lord and Savior. We're not afraid to go 10 rows
- 1:31:44deep and then bounce right back to the Scriptures.
- 1:31:47I don't see that there's a difference.
- 1:31:48I think that the authority in the word is, is the dominance
- 1:31:54over every vibration frequency level, this attack that the word
- 1:31:59is supreme over all of it. And so that's kind of how we do
- 1:32:01things, man is we die. We get into all of it.
- 1:32:04I've had guys, people from next door on all the way up to like
- 1:32:08Doctor Max Botner from Jessup University, ancient language
- 1:32:12Semitic experts. We've we have a pretty
- 1:32:13interesting profile of people that we've interviewed.
- 1:32:17So yeah, it's a little bit about what I do and as to what's to
- 1:32:20come is just hoping that the Lord allows me to continue it in
- 1:32:24this space. Really.
- 1:32:26Yeah, Amen to that. Well, I guess I could say the
- 1:32:29same. We we started off as a
- 1:32:30traditional audio podcast, only we added the video because we
- 1:32:35found that it would engage another group.
- 1:32:37But I'll be honest, Google has put us in Google jail so many
- 1:32:42times that we pulled our podcast from YouTube.
- 1:32:45The only thing I post on YouTube is my Sunday morning messages
- 1:32:48exactly because YouTube kept punishing us.
- 1:32:51But Rumble doesn't censor free speech, so we we do put our
- 1:32:54videos for the podcast. Yeah, it's hard to get the video
- 1:32:56stuff out there and. No, people do say we want we
- 1:32:59want video content. We want video content.
- 1:33:00I'm like, man, I don't know if I have a face to stare at for an
- 1:33:03hour and a half, but if it helps, whatever.
- 1:33:06Like we try to accommodate, you know what I mean?
- 1:33:08Yeah, but you're right, YouTube, it's like it's it's hit or miss,
- 1:33:11right? And then Rumble is, is a good
- 1:33:13place to go. Yeah.
- 1:33:14I think what, what people forget is they're asking a creator and
- 1:33:19producer to do this. And like, I don't, I have a team
- 1:33:22now, but my team does interviews and I edit that audio.
- 1:33:25So it's not like I have a team who does more stuff behind the
- 1:33:29scenes for me. And it it's a lot.
- 1:33:30It takes a lot of time, doesn't it, Scott?
- 1:33:32It does if my team is myself. And my wife, and thank God for
- 1:33:36my wife Sandy, because she puts the lion's share of the work
- 1:33:41done in promotion and, and editing.
- 1:33:43But, and I'm also thankful that we've been introduced to some AI
- 1:33:47tools that actually allow our editing to go a lot smoother and
- 1:33:50faster than it used to. So the uploads compressing and
- 1:33:53sending. Files and editing it's it's a
- 1:33:55lot of work and that's why we want you guys to support both of
- 1:33:59these shows and we're not just a show we are literally
- 1:34:02ambassadors for the Kingdom that is here the Kingdom that's
- 1:34:05coming and then and. With all that being said.
- 1:34:09Scott, it's an honor to do this first crossover and
- 1:34:12introductory. I think there's so much more
- 1:34:14that we could work out and and create some good old fashioned
- 1:34:19content for in the days ahead. So it's been absolutely, it was
- 1:34:22an honor for me. To be here.
- 1:34:24It was a privilege to have you on Bible Mysteries as well, Rod.
- 1:34:28I cannot wait for the next time we talk.
- 1:34:29This has been a wonderful blessing for me.
- 1:34:32Well, that's it on my end. You guys share.
- 1:34:34This show, it's just the right thing to do.
- 1:34:38You can help us find somebody else just like me and you.
- 1:34:41And I'll sign off by saying till next.
- 1:34:43Time be sure to look up for our redemption draws near.
- 1:34:46God bless and goodbye. Amen.
- 1:35:00I came from the sun, but one of you.
- 1:35:05Straight from that you. Really owe me all of my life.
- 1:35:09I was beating up all. Of my life I didn't handle.
- 1:35:13All in my life I was stuck in a trap.
- 1:35:15All in my life. I didn't have no wrap.
- 1:35:17I didn't know why my life was so weak.
- 1:35:19I didn't know why my life was a wrap.
- 1:35:22I didn't know why I couldn't get up.
- 1:35:24I was so stuck. And the monkey was stuck till I
- 1:35:26found out. And I broke everything till I
- 1:35:28fell down. And they took everything until I
- 1:35:31was hurting my heart. It was straight.
- 1:35:33Yeah, I was broke. And I had all this pain.
- 1:35:35Held on home. It got harder, this hole.
- 1:35:37Then I went to the side in this mode.
- 1:35:40I had no truth but to look to my guy.
- 1:35:42He gave me to me. You're both in my eyes.
- 1:35:44He gave me earrings and he told me I'm blessed.
- 1:35:46He told me he just believe in this time.
- 1:35:49I told him I can't change all of my ways.
- 1:35:51He said I got you, just look at this.
- 1:35:53I looked at him and he showed me his ways.
- 1:35:55Then he just told me how I am this time.
- 1:35:58Then he just told me I'm not in this world.
- 1:36:00He told me I come from the end of the fuck.
- 1:36:02I'm a new creature. I come from the sun from the one
- 1:36:05and only straight from them and see really on me.
- 1:36:08I came from the sun I was really with them and heavenly places
- 1:36:11I'm sealing. Y'all can't even go that way.
- 1:36:15Y'all don't even know that way. Y'all want to play like Patty
- 1:36:18cake but this ain't no game but the star right?
- 1:36:22You wipe this so fake when? You walk under me.
- 1:36:25And I know you're a snake. You think you can beat me but.
- 1:36:28You got no. Guy where you want?
- 1:36:30No way I take out that. Chopper, I'll put on your top.
- 1:36:34And I'll break on your face. I see you laughing.
- 1:36:37You think that you got? Me, but you got no way the evil
- 1:36:41you said. For my life is OK.
- 1:36:43'Cause it's made for my good. My God is created.
- 1:36:46He created you, so you really is good.
- 1:36:50I said all these things. 'Cause I know when it's.
- 1:36:52True and you know you is good. Don't like I did.
- 1:36:55In case we ain't no winning. Games you can never win.
- 1:36:57I know the things that's gonna happen to you when you die.
- 1:37:00In the head. In the head dude isn't living
- 1:37:03your life 'cause you know you can never go and get safe.
- 1:37:06You know his crazy, his mercy was too from you.
- 1:37:08When you're my son at the plot. I thought you could take on my
- 1:37:12God's spot now or you can die hot.
- 1:37:14You was really tweaking. I come from the sun from the one
- 1:37:17and only straight from them. Is he really owe me?
- 1:37:20I came from the sun, I was really with them and heavenly
- 1:37:23places I'm sealing. Y'all can't even go that way.
- 1:37:27Y'all don't even know God.
