- 0:39go on the way you made Bill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome.
- 0:45I'll be listening to the Sport Shock Show. I am the Sport Shock Wayne
- 0:49Gandy. Welcome to February. We are here one month of twenty twenty four
- 0:55in the books, we are jogging at a nice brisk here to reach Super
- 1:00Bowl fifty eight out in Las Vegue. Guess the forty nine Ers and the
- 1:08Kansas City chief are going to do battle down on the Vegas Strip Allegiant Stadium
- 1:17if I remember the name of the Raiders' home correct. So we are getting
- 1:23prepared for that. That's the next big date in most people's travels plans.
- 1:30When it comes to sports. You might be doing a whole bunch of things,
- 1:33but when it comes to sports, most people are still flipping that coin.
- 1:38Do I go to Vegas and buy the ninety two dollars Hamburger, or
- 1:45do I stay home and live with my riches? Because a trip to Vegas
- 1:52right now, it's going to cost you a lot of money. They're gonna
- 1:55jack it up. If you've ever been out there for any kind of holiday,
- 1:59you know, Memorial Day, fourth of June nine, if you went
- 2:04two days after the fourth, if you went on the six, you would
- 2:07have saved four thousand dollars. Just raise your hand on the crew if you
- 2:15think I'm telling the truth. So it's your now. If you just went
- 2:20on, you could have went on the night of the fifth and saved about
- 2:23half of what you spent. Just that is the same hotel, same pool,
- 2:29same restaurant. Just because you decided you don't need to be there on
- 2:31the second, third, and fourth, you spent twenty grand. You could
- 2:37have went on the fifth, sixth, and seventh and spent forty two hundred
- 2:42dollars sixteen thousand dollars worth of difference right there, man, if you just
- 2:46had that money today, you're thinking about it, command your gred calculator just
- 2:50rolling over there like man, that is something true. Travel. We need
- 2:53to open up the day After travel Service. That's the name of the bit.
- 2:59Day After Let go to day happen, save a whole bunch of money.
- 3:01But good morning to y'all. There we got Commanding Greg in the building,
- 3:05the funny man from Gornett County, the north that way. No,
- 3:12he's from Cobb. I'm dismissing with him, but it's kind of the same.
- 3:15I was about to say, no, nobody, friend ain't not from
- 3:21It is both the north of the city, north of the city around the
- 3:25big circle that we call inter State, and the bad producer is in the
- 3:31building as well. We have a lot to talk about today. I know
- 3:37it's not football. A lot of games. No games this weekend. Tonight
- 3:40you can if you have a couple of minutes and you want to check in
- 3:45on the Pro Bowl that's going down in Orlando. They'll be having the skills
- 3:49competition, and I think the flag football game might be tomorrow. They well,
- 3:54they switched it from a game to like a skills competition and flag football
- 4:00game just steps away something to get, something to get out the house.
- 4:03Step yeah, step away from just making it an autograph session, just something
- 4:09to get out the house. If my sponsor want to give me some unreleased
- 4:13sneakers, and y'all want to pay me for these autographs. You know,
- 4:16I could turn into a big promo junket. It has lost its zest,
- 4:21mostly because, as you know, it's my former specialty. Can't kind of
- 4:29play at football. You kind of either have to do it or you don't.
- 4:34There's really no in between kind of mindset. You can't go until the
- 4:41defense, well, y'all can only play this one coverage. You can't blitz
- 4:46y'a also can't sack the quarterback and all these rules and we're not actually playing
- 4:53football, and then your muscle memory and the quarterback ends up philling bass.
- 5:00So they're trying to turn it into kind of like I always said, the
- 5:02Battle of the Network Stars. Back in the day in the late seventies and
- 5:08eighties, it was a show where they used to take the Hollywood and mix
- 5:12it in with the lot of the Olympic champions and things like that. It
- 5:15just had a little battle. I think the NFL would be better doing that
- 5:18as well. Skilled competition with the regular people. Go get some of these
- 5:27high school state whoever was this and whoever was that of that year and bring
- 5:30them down, give them a free trip. It's legal. Now let them
- 5:33race against this guy or play against that guy, kind of like the NBA
- 5:38doing with the WNBA. They got a ness coup from the liberty. She's
- 5:44gonna shoot against Steph Curry in the NBA All Star Game this year, exhibition
- 5:51style. Yeah, well, she's you know, she's supposed to be the
- 5:55best college I mean the high school excuse me, WNBA shooter. He's the
- 6:00best we have ever seen in the NBA shooting the ball. I was saying,
- 6:04take it a step further and also invite Caitlin Clark from Iowa and whoever
- 6:12the best college college male shooter is. Let cheetos and just let it and
- 6:17let it ride. They do that because I know they have an individual they
- 6:21will they do that, and they when they have the final four and they
- 6:27have the three point shootout, they have the men's winner and the women's winner
- 6:32go against each other at the end. No, I'm saying, take those
- 6:35two and bring them to a star weekend weekend and put those four competitors.
- 6:44Well, I wouldn't like it might be, but they probably don't go.
- 6:46No, no, no, no, no no. They're all on a
- 6:55tour plane and they're sitting in their beds listening to this show right now.
- 6:59Last by the rest of the students are using the class. They're laughing and
- 7:03drinking call as only as they don't have a game. I guess that's why
- 7:09school it may Yeah, that's definitely optional for tonight. Remember we're just gonna
- 7:14fly up and fly back. This is not the old Bill Russell got to
- 7:17get on a bus drive eighteen hours between cities. We g five. We
- 7:24are. We're in an era where angelies can call Missy Elliott and get the
- 7:30jet for the day. This is what we've made college athletics. That's why
- 7:35hopefully we don't live long enough to see when it crumples. But this either
- 7:42has to become pro sports or it's going to crumble. It doesn't stand on
- 7:47this nil sensibility that the bad producer wants it to stand on. Eventually,
- 7:54these kind of things fold in on themselves. So bad producer, Yes,
- 7:59sir, he had a good week. Oh yeah, I was going to
- 8:01ask the question I wanted to when you were saying that is it serious as
- 8:05cancer? Then a heart attack? Nobody smile, so he knows. Yeah,
- 8:13but it was in regards you know you shouldn't have confused him because he's
- 8:18already straggling with this question. Yeah, okay, yeah, but when you
- 8:22say bring in what about the different three point lines? I mean the men
- 8:28shoot different than what in the NBA, than the college and I think the
- 8:33women are still the same as far as w NBA and college. So how
- 8:37would you manage that? To say, even we could flip a coin.
- 8:46Most likely we would shoot from wherever the men shoot, but we can split
- 8:48the difference and make a whole new arc. Remember the girl the women's ball
- 8:54is smaller as well. They said, how they they'll do it like,
- 8:58she'll shoot from w NBA line, he'll shoot from the NBA line. They'll
- 9:03use the w NBA ball, he'll use the NBA. So they're kind of
- 9:07like they do in golf. Look what do they do? Well? They
- 9:15let the women tea off from the women's tea where there's no such Let me
- 9:20correct, there's no such thing as a women's team because it's called a forward
- 9:24team. But there's some women who play actually from the same teams, and
- 9:28I might play No. No, okay, So why was the forward T
- 9:31invented? The forward T wasvent The forward T was invented because you have juniors,
- 9:35you have ladies, you have people that have to play at their skill
- 9:39levels. The forward T is for if you're thirty handicapper or more. Well,
- 9:43your second thing you said after the kids was ladies. Okay, the
- 9:48forward T was evented when golf was an event. Ladies wasn't really playing so
- 9:54well, you said, I'm just helping you out. So I'm trying to
- 9:56be your friend this morning, help you out. I said it was invented
- 10:00for juniors. And then you said, ladies. Let me I miss spoke,
- 10:05because when when you made to existence, since you misspoke, we're gonna
- 10:09move on, please, Because I was gonna say since you misspoke, because
- 10:11you did, I'm saying, said women, and then you said ladies.
- 10:16No. I said, that's my check. Those are like the same,
- 10:22and you said that when it was first. Then they said, were moving
- 10:26ladies. I'm trying. I'm trying to take the sports jog advice he gave
- 10:35me before the show. Don't look at it in my perspective. Well,
- 10:39as I said, from my perspective, it would be nice maybe next year,
- 10:43since they're gonna move to putting the next cue against steph uh. Bring
- 10:48the You know, you can have Caitlyn Clark shoot against the next scue,
- 10:52or you can have whoever's supposed to be the best college player shoot against Steph
- 10:54Curry. You can it's a lot of things. Or you team them up
- 10:58and move on. And I'm saying that because you've erased the line of kind
- 11:03of you blurred the line between amateur and now you can really get your hands
- 11:07on these kids through the NIL And it's no old Nike sponsored them to come
- 11:11do it, and it violates some rule. Now what is that? It
- 11:16would be like difficult for that as far as like blending the college and the
- 11:22NBA in February while both seasons are still going on, So there may be
- 11:28a conflict there. If Now, if it were like a summer event or
- 11:33like right after the draft or something like, it could realistically work. Not
- 11:37really, when you're talking about like two players, you're overthinking it. It's
- 11:43only just two got people. So the kid from Creighton needs to fly up
- 11:50on Friday morning and we'll fly him back Saturday. And the young lady from
- 11:54Georgia Tech needs to fly up Friday and we'll fly her back Saturday. Yeah,
- 12:00I don't understand, And Yeah, the kid that lives twenty miles from
- 12:05here will liveouzine him man, and he'll be sleeping in his bed this afternoon.
- 12:11I don't know if that will ever be allowed. That's that's what I'm
- 12:13saying. Really, why wouldn't it because we saw we saw Shader Sanders and
- 12:20Travis Hunter walk sitting courtside wapping up Lebron during the season at a basketball game
- 12:31and during the team meetings they were walking. They were walking the runway that
- 12:35duranteen weeks. Well, they weren't participating in the game. That's what I'm
- 12:39saying. I think you're overthinking the whole. Even if we were traveling to
- 12:43Charlotte, I mean the Carolina the Plate, we still would be traveling on
- 12:48that Friday. Coach, I had the privilege and honor of being asked to
- 12:52come shoot in the three competition for the NBA. I'll see y'all tomorrow.
- 13:01I'm not seeing where you're You're like, i'll see y'all tomorrow, Jonathan.
- 13:05It's not like they got a whole bunch of reverence for the coach perspective.
- 13:11I don't know if that would be a lot. They would have to be
- 13:13a I feel like every coach on the planet. That's why I said,
- 13:18you're not opening the window and letting everything fall out. What better recruiting tool
- 13:22is it to have my Creighton jersey shooting at a NBA All Star Game.
- 13:30We're recruiting everything we do. We're not recruiting students, are exactly We're recruiting
- 13:37the world. We'll be back with more Sports Show after this. I say,
- 13:43hassaw for a solid effort, but we didn't flinch for a second.

- 16:38back to the sports. John Wayne Gandy the Jock of the Day is sponsored
- 16:45by Mattress HEROESUSA dot com. The sleep you deserve at a price you can
- 16:48afford. No, No, no, no, no, Now it's time
- 16:52to present the jock of the day on the Sports Jock shows. Taken it
- 16:56to a completely different level this year where we highlight an appoly that has taken
- 17:00their game to the next level. Yeah, guilty and to prove venison.
- 17:10Hunh that's how we're working. Huh. Okay, before media was many,
- 17:15after media would be none. I'm the one, Okay, I see how
- 17:25we're playing. Yeah, I get it down. What shock show? This?
- 17:30What shock wing King the Diesel Shaquille O'Neill Shack literally literally the biggest star
- 17:42that I can think of. There might be more popular. There's no bigger
- 17:49star at six two, I mean seven to seven size twenty four shoe.
- 18:00You know, Denzel wear like an eight half or something faint the quatro.
- 18:07But Shaq Diesel has advocated against men sharing their feelings with women. Whenever something
- 18:15goes down, they I guess he's referring to women throw it back in your
- 18:22face. The Big Podcast is where he was mentioning these kind of storylines and
- 18:32this is why he said he doesn't open up to his partners. Shack is
- 18:37divorced and has since struggled to hold down a relationship long term from I think
- 18:45Shaq I would say, has been divorced here about maybe six years or would
- 18:51it be longer, A little longer than that, A little longer than that,
- 18:56Okay, okay, six plush years that shack these has been a divorce.
- 19:02But he said he doesn't open up or share his feelings with women basically
- 19:07because he is afraid that they're going to throw it back in his face.
- 19:15And I will say that's a general statement for men and women based on the
- 19:25part you can have a good best friend, or you can have your mother
- 19:29or sister or dad you know that you might not trust to say anything to
- 19:33because they throw it back in your face. That's why I would meet him
- 19:40that I wouldn't just outline it to be women as much. I would just
- 19:47I would outline it to be based on case by case of what individual you
- 19:55are. You know, But just like with all blanket statements, if we
- 20:00have if we're polling thirty men and nine of them have that experience, then
- 20:07they would rate that a common experience. So I think he's trying to project
- 20:15onto the greater society at large somehow that everybody goes through this, But it
- 20:21does happen like you said, not just with and most people's point of reference
- 20:29for it is with a relationship. We do have cousins and brothers and parents
- 20:33that do it, but most people have had it done to them or have
- 20:37experienced it in the confines of a romantic relationship. Now, in this Drawing
- 20:42and Bad producer Commanchee Greg is it a thing where he didn't want to be
- 20:48reminded or he thought they had gotten past it. Why are you afraid to
- 20:56face what it is that you have that because you don't want to hear that
- 21:02all over again. You don't be always hearted like whenever anything that might think
- 21:07that give give them an indication. They're thinking that, Oh, that's how
- 21:12you were moving before. And then all of a sudden and maybe I misunderstanding.
- 21:17So you hit, you hit hit the woman and she decides to stay,
- 21:21and then you raised her your voice had her fourteen months later and she
- 21:27tells you, remember we already been down this road where you black my eye.
- 21:33You don't want her to say that to you. Oh, I'm not
- 21:37even gonna put my hand on it, but I'm just saying, and see
- 21:40I must be when I raised. All I'm saying is you don't want to
- 21:44hear that over if you give me an example what you want to hear over
- 21:48we I'm thinking listening to what you say in shack if shack like if she
- 21:52called him like texting another woman and he alpens up, Yeah, I was
- 21:56texting us, just a friend of mine. Whatever. Then all of a
- 21:59sudden, you know that, oh you over there texting Shelley or or whatever.
- 22:03What Wait a minute, bad producer. And maybe I'm confused on the
- 22:04fact he said he's not vulnerable. Vulnerable isn't getting caught doing something me sharing
- 22:11vulnerabibility? Is I'm afraid of the dark. And then we get into an
- 22:15argument and you are you you acting all brave with me, but you scared
- 22:19of the dark? Is where I thought he was going with it. So
- 22:22you saying that you're thinking that he's mean, I'm thinking that he's I mean
- 22:26like, well, I mean, so hold on, So what is your
- 22:32in a real world now it ain't got to be a personal but a real
- 22:36world example not afraid of the dark, a real world example of something that
- 22:42you don't want to or you wouldn't bring up. If your wife told you
- 22:47something you're sure you wouldn't say it back to her in those moments, because
- 22:49typically these moments are are inflamed through negativity. Something negative is happening, right,
- 22:57and uh, and that's what Shack is saying, is when something comes
- 23:02up. Well, I'm not talking about what Shack is saying. I've moved
- 23:03on to the you're asking me, No, I don't do that. I
- 23:06don't believe. And that's about bick Kenny, the personal I said, give
- 23:08me an example of what you're you're saying, you're using the dark. What
- 23:15is a real world life issue that someone could say to each other. Uh?
- 23:26It to me that without putting my personal experience in it, I can't
- 23:33say what say, we're a world for you? What you would consider someone
- 23:36insulting you or violating your confidence when you're being vulnerable, you're speaking to somebody
- 23:41in confidence, and when they take that and use it against you, no
- 23:45matter what it is. It could be not being afraid of the dark.
- 23:48It could be that's why you don't drive. Well, it could be uh,
- 23:52that's why you had to borrow seven dollars from me. That is taking
- 23:56something that I was sensitive about and weaponizing it and using it to hurt my
- 24:00feelings or to gain some sort of leveraging advantage over me. So again I'd
- 24:06have to put my personal self in it, and people can say just about
- 24:10anything. I've had close friends of mine tell me they weren't going to watch
- 24:14my comedy appearances on TV because it ain't me that affected me. Like I
- 24:21thought we supported each other, and now you just flat out said that you
- 24:25hate okay with Shaq saying he doesn't share his feelings, doesn't open up to
- 24:30women because he doesn't like things strown back in his face. We'll be back
- 24:37with more than Sports Shock Show right after this. I got it jug you
- 24:41a black on. I said it not to the mama, the out on
- 24:45the street, like the mama the mama. You rat should never be honorable
- 24:48and know I'm gonna give him a word hu the first of the first Don't
- 24:52Go awayne Bore of The Sports John Show with Wayne Gandi is coming up next.

- 27:37have to call I am like there. It's like Usha, welcome back to
- 27:40this Boy Shock Show. I'm this boy Shock, Wayne Candy, Good morning
- 27:44to you out there in listening land, Big Kenny Babaduzo comand you greggall in
- 27:49the studio with me to day on this first day of February. We left
- 27:55talking about Shaquille o'meal, the big Arab startle. It's advocated against men sharing
- 28:00their feelings with women. Says that whenever something goes down, they throw it
- 28:06back in your face. Before we move on, I would ask you guys
- 28:10in a truthful way here, because I know sometimes emotions run high. Have
- 28:15you ever weaponized, as Big Kenny said, and threw something back in somebody's
- 28:22face. Yes, yes, it's been a long time, but I've done
- 28:26it. Comen, I'm pretty sure I have. Yeah. Okay, So
- 28:30basically what Jack says, everybody does everybody A lot of people have done.
- 28:37And to be honest, I did a lot of work at growing past that
- 28:41because I know that it's unfair because of when it happened to me, how
- 28:45it made me feel, and a vout to not purposely make anybody feel that
- 28:49way because of when they were vulnerable. It was in a place where they
- 28:55felt safe with me, and then I took that and destroyed all of that
- 28:57trust with my feelings being hurt and me and return trying to hurt somebody else's
- 29:04feelings. Yeah, and a lot of times in the modern day culture,
- 29:07we call this kind of move bullying. Now, yes, yes, when
- 29:12you're pointing out, even if it's true, pointing out is called bullying,
- 29:18so you can easily be guilty of whatever. I'm quite sure wherever this is
- 29:23coming from with Shaquille is that he's probably a kind hearted guy. Maybe until
- 29:30recently let his guard down easily. That might have should have been what he
- 29:37his way of dealing with this. I don't know the full case, but
- 29:40maybe that there's only going to be a few people in your lifetime. Yes,
- 29:47and I'm talking about from the person that brought you, the two people
- 29:48that brought you here, yes, to the people you might have shared a
- 29:52bunk bed with. We're putting everybody that it might in your whole lifetime you
- 29:57might find two three people that you can trust. And it ain't always people
- 30:03with the same DNA, and it ain't always the people that you're married to
- 30:08or in a relationship with that can't even handle what that is. That's something
- 30:12that you've got to try to indicate in different individuals to be able to let
- 30:18your guard down. But the weaponizing of things, especially personal things, typically
- 30:25come from the people you let in the closest to you in life. Tyrese
- 30:33H. Halliburton of the Pacers big issue over the last couple of days has
- 30:38been his issue with the NBA, and he calls it a stupid rule.
- 30:48I don't I'm just gonna go right off the top with mine. I don't
- 30:55think it's a stupid rule at all. I actually, since we've been on
- 31:00air with this show, have never understood how we got to this point.
- 31:07And all this centered around what the NBA meant called load management. That's how
- 31:15all this came about, Tyrese Halliburt. Now, you might have been in
- 31:18college. I don't know how old you are. You this came out seven,
- 31:22eight, nine, ten years ago. You might have even been at
- 31:25that point in high school playing ball. But the NBA over the last handful
- 31:30of years have had an issue with their players consistently playing. Now, if
- 31:40the generation before them was missing games, maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
- 31:45But it seemed like this is more of a new I'm not injured, I
- 31:49just don't feel like playing today. It's how have I always have accepted the
- 31:55load management where it's not an actual injury as much as whatever I have going
- 32:01on at home or whatever my endorsement deals. I had to go do this
- 32:08on Jupiter. By the time I got back, I was tired. So
- 32:15I'm not gonna play. We're not gonna play back to back games. A
- 32:21lot of times you're fearful here in Atlanta. I know that the Lakers had
- 32:25played on Sunday in Houston and then they went to play here in Atlanta on
- 32:31Monday, So you're crossing your fingers that Lebron James is gonna play, Anthony
- 32:38Davis is gonna play, or whoever superstars. It ain't just those two.
- 32:42Any superstar is going to play on a back to back. I got the
- 32:46pleasure last Friday watching Luca score seventy three. But wherever Dallas played last night,
- 32:54Luca didn't play, So the questions were in Minnesota last night. So
- 32:59the question becomes the fan starts not understanding was Luca hurt or he just wasn'tn't
- 33:08filling it today. So the NBA put in a rule that for postseason awards
- 33:15like MVP, like Defensive Player of the Year, that you have to play
- 33:22sixty five of the eighty two game, which mathematically puts it at about eighty
- 33:27percent. You got to play eighty percent of the games to qualify for these
- 33:35awards. Now, Tyres Halliburton of the Indiana Pacers, the point guard who's
- 33:40a star player, feels that it's a stupid rule. A lot of times
- 33:45people think things are stupid when they're resting their head up against it. So
- 33:51let's me, without even knowing feel like he about two games away from not
- 33:58qualifying, right, So y'all don't want me to play every game the bubble
- 34:04already like the man they talk about giving you in the war, but you
- 34:07don't play it. Now he's five games away, okay, five games away
- 34:12with what about thirty games left in the season regular season thirty four games?
- 34:20So he cutting it close. That's that's how he feels. And not only
- 34:22with uh, because I know there's probably some players try to get around it,
- 34:27like Okay, I'm gonna dress, I'm gonna play the first five minutes
- 34:30and then I'm gonna sit out. You still have to play a certain number
- 34:32of minutes for that game to count as far as these awards. And because
- 34:38you're having well, just gonna add that with him coming up against it,
- 34:44Joel Embiid is coming up against it, and he's the MVP front runner right
- 34:46now. So and speaking of Joel Embiid, that's Draymond Green had came out
- 34:51and said he thinks it's bs that you know, you're forcing Joel Embiid to
- 34:55play through injury and could hurt himself even more just to try to get this
- 35:00optical. I'm not forcing you to do anything. Well, I'm telling you
- 35:04that you can't be the MVP right if you only play sixty games. That's
- 35:09all I'm telling you. Now, however, you need to manage that.
- 35:15But your sample source, that's what I need, because every game that you
- 35:22miss is another game I don't get to evaluate you. You got to avoid
- 35:29your bad nights. Remember, it balances out. So you played fifty games
- 35:36where there was thirty two other opportunities for you to mess up. Yeah,
- 35:43and a lot of times when you see things people they have that at the
- 35:45bottom. If you ever read it's like, well they had to have a
- 35:49minimum of fifty games for us to rate you. And then you can't have
- 35:54just one no hitter and be well, you're the greatest picture of Remember that
- 35:59night you had that one no hitter and how many games you played one?
- 36:02And why I didn't give you the I'm not understanding the department. The load
- 36:08management thing is we're talking about. This is my job. Most jobs want
- 36:15you there every day that every day you want the schedule, we want you
- 36:20at work, And I'm saying, and then when you show up at work,
- 36:22they want you actually working. You don't like coming to work and be
- 36:25like, bro, I ain't really feeling the talking on radio thing today.
- 36:30And for those that might be, you know, because everybody's not well,
- 36:35very few people in the sports world as far as basketball, football, I'm
- 36:38saying, just take it to your job and imagine there's something prize at the
- 36:44end of the year. How what percentage do you feel that company should have
- 36:54in place to qualify for that Christmas bonus? Right? You showing up to
- 37:00your desk, your cubicle, whatever, you are, three hundred and sixty
- 37:07of the three hundred and sixty five days you you showed up. But the
- 37:10guy two cubicles down he only put in one seventy two and both y'all up
- 37:17for thirty thousand ya bonus? Up for the bonus? Where would you think
- 37:22it should go? You got one hundred and thirty days or something, you
- 37:27know, ninety days more than him on the books, but you know whatever,
- 37:30you've more productive my bonus and his for the one hundred and seventy two
- 37:34days. I should get his bonus too, right, And so when you
- 37:40break it down to the personal level, you can now see why I don't
- 37:45understand how players get angry with teams or the league for wanting them to show
- 37:50up and play on the nights their scheduled to actually have games. We're not
- 37:52calling you like in the middle of the night saying hey, man, we
- 37:55got one in Chicago tomorrow. You know this when the season starts. I
- 38:00think they're looking at it as it's not something that there It's not an issue
- 38:06that they have that the players have, so they're not really seeing it as
- 38:10an actual issue. The league is saying, hey, these fans, the
- 38:15fans want to see you guys play. Y'all are missing all these games,
- 38:19and especially if it's like, uh, if it's an Eastern team playing a
- 38:22Western team, where it's only going to be one time in that place for
- 38:25the whole season. So for them, I think the players aren't seeing the
- 38:30issue, but that's why they exactly. But the fans were not just saying
- 38:32it on Twitter or TikTok or whatever. They were saying it with the season
- 38:38tickets. Yeah, I mean, like expressed, I think we had a
- 38:44couple of times that they were a couple of lawsuits. Yes that I called
- 38:50and you up charged me for the KD package. Remember that you called.
- 38:54You literally called it the KD package. Yes, and I said, well,
- 39:00bring me up, bring me up on the KD came with an extra
- 39:04snack, all kind of a little T shirt, all of that. But
- 39:07then you send me the Antoine Robinson packet and I had to google because I
- 39:14don't even know he was a university. It had no Snoopy, no Scooby
- 39:21Snack in it, right, and all I got was the KD bobblehead.
- 39:23So and that's what fans started doing, because you you don't want to up
- 39:28charge, right when you up charge somebody, they're looking for that difference.
- 39:34And if I don't see the difference, then I need my money back.
- 39:37And that's what uh, that's what the fans were kind of yelling out,
- 39:42but we'll be back Water Sports Jock Show right after this. When the year
- 39:45changed, we changed, could be right here. We could go bank for
- 39:49bank, we could go clip for clip, change change, we could go

- 41:09teachers are shaping our tomorrows, starting their students on journeys that will change the
- 41:15course of history. Right now, in a classroom somewhere in the United States,
- 41:20there's a teacher inspiring a future scientist who'll make preventing pandemics their life's work,
- 41:25sharpening the mind of an aspiring environmentalist who'll hook come back climate change,
- 41:30and generating possibilities for a student who will be the first in their family to

- 41:40reinvent education for the future, who work towards a school system that lives up

- 42:22can drive. Friendly reminder, don't drive high. If you feel different,
- 42:31you drive different. Brought to you by Nitza and the Ad Council. And
- 42:37now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy, it's where it's logon. Say
- 43:01you don't can see sports jaint I'll sing even Big Janny, welcome back to
- 43:09the show. The Sports Suck Wing Candy Bad, producer, Big Kenny,
- 43:14the funny man himself and command you Greg in the building. Remember any of
- 43:17this first hour that you have missed. You can go to Apple Podcasts,
- 43:22Spotify, Amazon podcast, Audible, Deezer and I Heart Radio. We talked
- 43:30a little bit about Shaquille O'Neill and his new stance that he doesn't really open
- 43:36up to women any more because they throw things in his face. We just
- 43:39left talking about Tyrese Halliburton. I think I from what I vibe from the
- 43:45three of you, we all kind of feel like the league having some kind
- 43:52of stance of qualifying is a good thing. Yeah, it has to be.
- 43:58Somebody asked me to give them a football number with the seventeen games,
- 44:01and I told him that I felt like, if you don't play in at
- 44:06least fourteen NFL games, you shouldn't qualify for the MVP any of that stuff.
- 44:15And I'm gonna go ahead on an shit shack. I'm not throwing something
- 44:20in anybody's face to throw a name out there. But since he's saying bringing
- 44:23up bats, I was on teams where guys made Pro Bowls and All Pro
- 44:30teams in a sixteen game season with six games, and I thought that was
- 44:40so unfair to other guys. Imagine some guy, a receiver making the All
- 44:47Pro team over you. You played fifteen sixteen of the sixteen game he played
- 44:55six. But his popularity as we saw this year with Aman Saint Brown,
- 45:01Yes st Brown, who was voted All Pro but didn't make the Pro Bowl
- 45:10first team, so it was the first team All Pro. If you're trying
- 45:15to figure out the difference, the All Pro team is voted on by football
- 45:20people, not fans. But he made first team All Pro but didn't make
- 45:27the Pro Bowl. Because that's a fan that the fan vote carries more weight.
- 45:32But I'd rather be lifted by my peers more. You know what I'm
- 45:36saying, I'd rather have my peers vote me more than the fans. Well,
- 45:38but I'm saying either one of those charges, you got to put in
- 45:44some work. Yes, No, you can't be showing up. It's half
- 45:50the bout. Sounded like g I Joe yo, team, it's not done
- 45:53you. You can't have a good game or a bad game if you didn't
- 45:57show up. Right. That's why when I said samples, I don't have
- 46:00any If you missed thirty games, that means that's thirty games you avoided showing
- 46:05me that you were not good, and thirty games that you could have been
- 46:09using your coach to help. And out of those thirty games, I'm still
- 46:16come on, man, teammate. It's not like I went up in the
- 46:20stands like somebody do something if we came here either. And out of those
- 46:24thirty games, who to say before of the games you missed was probably the
- 46:28best the best defensive team. You didn't play your game. But they also
- 46:31have these stipulations as far as with the NBA for games played to win,
- 46:38like the any other stats titles like to if you want to win the scoring
- 46:44title, you have to play a certain number of games. You know,
- 46:46one year Lebron could have won it, but he was one game short.
- 46:51So if they have it for for that, and if their bonuses or whatever
- 46:54involved in that, I think it's fair to acclude it include award winning awards
- 46:59for too. Yeah, So I don't I don't have any problem with it
- 47:01a certain special and I think that's generous. Sixty five games for the NBA.
- 47:07That means they're allowing you to miss seventeen games and you can still reap
- 47:13all benefits with a seventeen game cushion. They basically are allowing you to miss
- 47:20a game a week. And they're when they're stipulating injury or some sort of
- 47:30suspension or any of that, just any missing games you can miss seventeen you
- 47:34can basically, yeah, seventeen and I still want to know where you at
- 47:37but you're doing but you do it for the seventeen games. I'm saying,
- 47:40you're not even gonna show up. Jackie Robinson's statue was found. Remember they
- 47:49stole a statue of Jackie Robinson. Have they arrested anybody? They have They
- 47:55have not arrested any but they have not had any suspect. Now, was
- 47:59this at the Baseball Hall of Fame. Where was Jackie because he could be
- 48:02with a big name like him, in the presence and the contribution to sports
- 48:07he has put upon us. I'm quite sure he has different statues in different
- 48:13places. He's the MLK, He's the MLK of baseball. Ye, this
- 48:17was a little league park, like a complex, I believe. Oh so
- 48:22this is Kansas. This is a bunch of fourteen year olds. Yeah,
- 48:25and they stole at first they stole it, then they broke it up,
- 48:30and from what I understand, said it on the fire. Now. I
- 48:34don't know if you've ever been around and I don't know if you've ever been
- 48:38around statues, but usually they're constructed of material that's not very flammable. So
- 48:44these guys need to be working for NASA. Uh. In the mail room,
- 48:52there was a there is surveillance video. Yeah, I was gonna say
- 48:55all this that these new, these stadiums, another's some kind of VI suspects
- 49:00as of right now. Well, he said little league. That's why I
- 49:02thought, you know what, Well, some of the well I know,
- 49:07and some of the places they do have, you know, the parks,
- 49:10they have those surveillance cameras in those areas well. It wasn't just the whole
- 49:15statue like it was cut off and they left the feet. They left the
- 49:17feet part of cut their legs off. I don't know, because they left
- 49:23the base the heavy part right feet. Yeah, yeah, because any good
- 49:30statue, it's hard. They only had enough for the top part. It
- 49:35was a so they didn't have room for it. So but they will be
- 49:39investigating this. Are you putting your money on prank? Some kids? Kids?
- 49:47It sounds like a kid. Some kids got a hold to their dad's
- 49:51power tools and the only thing they could come up with is, let's used
- 49:55to pray? Is to go get a statue because they read about the horse
- 50:00down at Oklahoma and Texas and they thought they needed one up. Surely,
- 50:06but we we ain't got the stomach for taking the dead anily and cut What
- 50:09about brine and we'll be back more to sports jock show. Right after this,

- 51:37powerful opio It often made illegally and commonly mixed with illicted drugs. It can
- 51:42even be pressed into counterfeit pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams,
- 51:46about the size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.

- 53:09What make you this? What shock? Shot up this one? Shop win
- 53:12Candy? Good morning to you out there and listening on land trade deadline for
- 53:17the NBA is a week away. Where will some of your favorite players end
- 53:23up? We will soon see. The NBA also is extending their draft coverage
- 53:30to two nights, trying to copy the n f L. Only difference is
- 53:36the NFL, which I didn't agree with, the whole three night coverage they
- 53:40have uh is at least seven eight rounds. The NBA is two rounds.
- 53:51Have any of you ever watched the second round of an NBA draft? Be
- 53:57honest? One out of four? Can I be honest? I've never watched.
- 54:05I have never watched NBA draft outside of the lottery I was I was
- 54:15just twelve. I was just about say, in total transparency, I don't
- 54:21think I get out of the first six before I six to ten before I
- 54:25lose interest. Yes, and I'm you know, okay, Number one.
- 54:31Number three if a player from college that I like isn't drafted in that first
- 54:37twelve or I might keep looking unto that player, see where he went.
- 54:44But I never watched anything passed through. I'm gonna be on the lottery.
- 54:51What's the lot of for the NBA twelve fourteen fourteen? Yes, that's it?
- 54:55And now what is it? What I go ahead and do something else?
- 54:58Now that was a That was an hour of life. I can't get
- 55:00back. And that's what I'm saying. What is it in these two days
- 55:04they're hoping to tell you that they can't tell you and don't tell you in
- 55:07the pre draft coverage, Well, Comanchie Gregg says, they want to give
- 55:14the second round teams or it's the same teams. Excuse me, the second
- 55:19time second round the ability to have time to make trades. You've already got
- 55:27that. It's called the first round, but you got a whole round of
- 55:31watching what happens to decide what we're gonna do next time. That's when they
- 55:36make the decision. It was like, well, you know, I like
- 55:38this player, we didn't get him, so let's let's trade some second round
- 55:42picks for him, and then they get more time because the second round,
- 55:46when they was on the same nights. They had two minutes and now they
- 55:51listen, the king is naked. Let's just go ahead and get it out.
- 55:54He's not wearing new clothes, he's buck naked. Everybody keeps trying to
- 56:00make it like it's important they're selling ad time, but I mean, that's
- 56:04it. Just Just tell me. I already swore State Farmers has help to
- 56:13expand this, so it's not like they're getting a new I mean, this
- 56:16is money that's there. No, that means they get to charge State farm
- 56:20more money. But it's there. Tho, No, it's not there right
- 56:24now because there's only one round for me to up charge State farm I got
- 56:30to expand. But that's what I'm saying. They know they got it just
- 56:32in the budget, so we're gonna go ahead and add it in there.
- 56:37That's called price gouging. That's that's that's called price gouging. Why are you?
- 56:42Why are you taking something that has traditionally been able. It's not like
- 56:46they experienced any problems getting it done in the one night. It's not like
- 56:52they had any snags or technical difficulties. They are just dragging it out.
- 56:58What are we going to see on night two? Some feel good piece about
- 57:02some kid from a Midwestern school. I don't know, but Adam Silver just
- 57:07got a raise, so apparently he's doing something real good for them to add
- 57:13on and want to do that well. I mean because lately he's made a
- 57:15lot of changes in the NBA and they feel like, yeah, but a
- 57:19bad producer. I know. I don't know if you, because sometimes your
- 57:22words sound like they're you, and then sometimes it sounds like they're devil advocate.
- 57:28I do know as a young kid sitting there waiting on the draft,
- 57:31you're holding up me. You're holding up thank you, the process. Thank
- 57:42you. It's Sunday, and by Sunday night I could have known what my
- 57:49fate is, whether I'm to be on a team or I got to go
- 57:53to free agent route. And you just holding me another twenty four hours in
- 57:58that so you can make another dollar on something that is not that significant.
- 58:02You're holding me up, jes so you can make more money. You're not
- 58:09helping me with my career. You're not giving me any of that money.
- 58:14You're just making up stuff to pad your pocket and holding up what I'm supposed
- 58:20to do. I mean, it's the thrill of it. I mean,
- 58:23there is no thrill of being held over. Okay, I mean, who
- 58:30was the boy that thought he was gonna get drafted in the NFL on Night
- 58:35one? Was he from the quarterback? It was the quarterback? It was
- 58:39the quarterback. Was a quarterback I think from State Kentucky. Yeah, Will.
- 58:51But by day number two, when he found out he was getting drafted,
- 58:53he was somewhere to the airport, had landed somewhere else to conduct other
- 58:58business. And and that that's what I'm saying about this drag it out.
- 59:01I could already be walking around my team facility by the time you even start
- 59:08advertising the draft tonight, when you start doing the pre draft coverage, I
- 59:15could already be walking in my team's facility. I could be looking for a
- 59:19place to live in my new city, all predicated on you just want to
- 59:22make more money, a little bit more money, I mean, because the
- 59:25seventeen billion trillion dollars I got just ain't gonna do. Just wish you just
- 59:30got me on out the way, and then I know what I need to
- 59:34do. Let me get out the way. Do I need to wake up
- 59:37the next morning and start making plans to find some European league to get to
- 59:40because you did not draft me or what I need to do. You're just
- 59:46holding me up another thirty six hours or whatever. Wait on you to see
- 59:51what you're gonna do after I've already been sitting here for the last three four
- 59:54months waiting on the draft. Right you ever been drafted? Back, producer,
- 1:00:01Oh, that's why you don't know what the process is. We'll be
- 1:00:05back with more of the sports jocks. I was trying to run out draft.
- 1:00:07Don't worry about it right now. Run all in that. I met
- 1:00:13a lot of club no johns. I don't know. Look, because I've
- 1:00:16been drinking that dirty bringing that aced the case, minding with me. Bring
- 1:00:22some ice from my drink with me, Joh't boy Wayne Born of the Sports
- 1:00:29Josh Show with Wayne gam Videos coming up next. And now let's talk about
- 1:00:34something exciting life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:00:38piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance.
- 1:00:44When I was twenty five, me and my wife were just getting started with
- 1:00:46our family and thought we lived forever. Life insurance was the last thing on
- 1:00:50my mind. What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills when
- 1:00:53I was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up. I
- 1:00:55was worried how my family was survived without me. That's what I'm in an
- 1:00:59appointment with insurance informants. Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your
- 1:01:02family security no matter what stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older,
- 1:01:07I don't worry about whether I'll leave my family that bills or benefits.
- 1:01:10The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn
- 1:01:14a little or a lot, all you need is the insurance informant to help
- 1:01:16you build a foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:01:21two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind? Log
- 1:01:25on today benefits or bills? Dot Com? That's benefits or bills dot Com?
- 1:01:36Enough is enough. I don't why saw shares and we hold the world
- 1:01:42ransom for excuse me while I whip this out. Sure broadcasting live and it
- 1:01:50leda to Georgia. This is the Sports Shop with Wayne Gandy. You may
- 1:02:01comes I'm doing good. Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way to Welcome
- 1:02:15back to the Spy Shock Shine, the Swooshock Wing Candy. Good morning,
- 1:02:20till you remember. If you missed any of that first hour, you could
- 1:02:22go to iHeartRadio, Deezer, Audible, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Amazon
- 1:02:30podcast. Good Morning Commands You, Good morning, Big Kenny, Good morning
- 1:02:34Bad Producer. Big Kenny saw something up on the screen on the television about
- 1:02:39Justin Fields coming to Atlanta. But it was a bold prediction that the bad
- 1:02:45producer got all excited about. Possibility is still there in some kind of trade
- 1:02:51that Justin Fields could end up back in the Atlanta area no matter who I
- 1:02:59have talked to, which is really, as I said, a simple size
- 1:03:01of people enough to be still confused that the only reason the eight nine people
- 1:03:10I asked that want that to happen is that Justin Fields is black. That
- 1:03:20is a terrible reason to try to get your team to turn around because you
- 1:03:25want a black quarterback. Because when I asked him about what has he done
- 1:03:36for you two in four years? Now, that's a that's a good amount
- 1:03:39of time to value, assess a personal ability of where they're going. Is
- 1:03:46that not what you say that? This is the thing I can't imagine the
- 1:03:51four years coach, if you ain't made the playoffs, you can really legitimately.
- 1:03:54Actually you came knowing like with the box, let me go, right,
- 1:04:00what's happening? And this is what I don't. I don't you want
- 1:04:03Justin Fields to come to Atlanta because you think he'd be a great fit here.
- 1:04:08And I can't imagine that he hadn't been trying any less in Chicago than
- 1:04:13his best. He's been doing all that he can do in Chicago and it
- 1:04:15still ain't worked. I don't understand how people think that that's all of a
- 1:04:19sudden going to elevate and he's going to be a much better athlete when he
- 1:04:24gets to Atlanta. Well, and I would I would like him to come.
- 1:04:28I actually, yeah, do a war chant for him to come.
- 1:04:30Yeah, just I want a social experiment, social experiment, and I want
- 1:04:34to see from the standpoint of he comes, do they blame the new coach
- 1:04:47if he fails or do they blame Justin? And you know it's they're gonna
- 1:04:54have to deliver. They're gonna have to deliver I mean deliberate. Yeah,
- 1:04:58which one? And you know him right now. They're high on both of
- 1:05:00them, so it's like, well, who's gonna take the blame? Well,
- 1:05:03and then the old in the old Falcons, you'ld have blamed the man
- 1:05:08coming down on Justin Fields, But now the man looks like Justin Fields he's
- 1:05:13still not and the GM and the GM, so it looks like who will
- 1:05:18it be if Justin Fields fails? If he comes here, I think it
- 1:05:25will be everyone. Every everyone gets fired, Everyone gets fired, the coach
- 1:05:31gets fired, GM gets fired. Well, I've been hollered for Justin Fields
- 1:05:38for over a year now, and Falcons great wide receiver Roddy White even said,
- 1:05:44so what does I want to know? What does he see in Justin?
- 1:05:46I know that is he one of the people that you possibly talked to
- 1:05:49about that, because when I brought that to you that he said that time
- 1:05:54for Justin to come on home? Well, what does he see that he
- 1:05:57can do for the Falcons? Sales tickets? Next time I'm with him,
- 1:06:01I will ask him, Yeah, because I've been because I don't trust that
- 1:06:05whatever you're saying you asked him to be the actually what you said, because
- 1:06:12you could have asked him in a way that whether should we have Justin Fields
- 1:06:17or what was the guy this year? Ridder? Which sets him up to
- 1:06:23be like, sure, man, we need to get feels then, so
- 1:06:25I don't know and trust the way you asked him the question to put my
- 1:06:30words on this mic for historical purposes based on something you asked, and you
- 1:06:38can't dispute his hesitation because because I know you could have asked in a whole
- 1:06:43nother bizarre way. It was bizarre, it was awesome description. Now you
- 1:06:51left him confused, like, man, I don't really know it is.
- 1:06:55I don't know what he was asking me or didn't remember the conversation and in
- 1:06:59its entirety at all based on the bad producer's history. But Arthur Smith,
- 1:07:03the former Falcon head coaches, now the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Stealers.
- 1:07:11So author have some success with the Stillers, and then the Falcon fans will
- 1:07:16get all jealous once again, because that's what Falcon fans do. They're envious
- 1:07:20fans who only want other people's players when they are playing well, or they
- 1:07:26want other people's players based on if they are black. Other than those two
- 1:07:32reasons, they have a lot of envy. The Falcon fans, they're the
- 1:07:36most envious fan base. They don't champion their own, they champion other people
- 1:07:43players. They're pulling for Lamar Jackson and justin fields, people that are not
- 1:07:47on their team even when they're playing, when they're playing their team cheerings.
- 1:07:56I want the Falcons to win, but I want Lamar Jackson to play well.
- 1:08:00How does that work? Command see come on, help help you boy
- 1:08:01out. I want Lamar Jackson to play well, but I want well.
- 1:08:05That would kind of correlate. I'm on the fact to win by one point.
- 1:08:10I witnessed that the first time Michael Vick came back to play for Philadelphia,
- 1:08:15it was like when he got in the game, it was just everybody's
- 1:08:19I've seen a thousand times, and that's the true example of how this city
- 1:08:25works. It's the craziest thing. I want this play on the other team
- 1:08:28to play lights out. I want him to get a thousand catches. I
- 1:08:32want us to win. The NFL is to investigate Patriots wide receiver kase Sewan
- 1:08:39Boute. They are saying that it's time at LSU he placed. And this
- 1:08:47is where it gets to where almost I have to if I'm on the juror
- 1:08:53jury list, I have to vote guilty because the number is so specific.
- 1:09:01They say he plays eight twenty seven bets. That's so specific. It's like
- 1:09:06he must have did it. It's not a large number of bets. It's
- 1:09:11not like a significant number of bets. It's not about about on thousand,
- 1:09:15we clocked each and every bet. That means they've got receipts. If they
- 1:09:19can quantify the number of bets that you place, then they've got a paper
- 1:09:25trail and receipts to show that these bets were placed by you. And where
- 1:09:30well they're saying that is in thirteen months span at LSU they have him down
- 1:09:36for eight thousand, nine hundred and twenty seven bets on what on I think
- 1:09:47games on LSU football games. Yeah, and even like no prop bets on
- 1:09:53itself, all kinds of different, yeah, okay, yeah, but it
- 1:09:58was all related to LSU football. He wasn't like betting on the Mavericks to
- 1:10:02get beat by the Hawks or something. He was going straight LSU football and
- 1:10:08the teams they were playing at that time. That has not been released from
- 1:10:14the report that I had read. Okay, remember, you know we in
- 1:10:18the sports media, but they don't. They don't give it all but the
- 1:10:21fact that he was betting on football period and prop bets on himself. I'm
- 1:10:28quite sure once they sift through at eighty nine twenty seven. That's that's a
- 1:10:34lot of difference. It's a lot of bets to say, Man, I
- 1:10:39don't really know what I was doing. I was manipulated, I mean,
- 1:10:43because that's usually the way you go. And they wasn't me. I wasn't
- 1:10:45there. I didn't really know they manipulated me. I was just a helpless
- 1:10:49pawn. But I was a helpless pawn eight nine hundred and twenty seven times.
- 1:10:56In a way I'm reading it's not really they're really getting him for betting
- 1:10:59on the actual games, just because he was underage in gambling. That was
- 1:11:03one of the fraud of mister Menta Chargers participating in the gaming under age of
- 1:11:09twenty. Yeah, but then that's gonna open up a whole another can of
- 1:11:12worms. And that's part of also bat producer of Report, We did a
- 1:11:15couple of shows ago where we were talking about some of the number the success
- 1:11:23of betting has been found to lay at the feet of a lot of college
- 1:11:30students. That they're finding that a lot of kids in college are placing these
- 1:11:36bets, like commanchie greg is saying, with the prop betting, I wanted
- 1:11:42to rise in this other than it being promoted on television. The one question
- 1:11:46I wanted to ask you guys was I broke it down into three categories.
- 1:11:51Is the rise in betting centered around winning money, the thrill or to be
- 1:12:08part of the conversation. And we'll talk about that after we do the birthday
- 1:12:14report. But this, this whole betting thing, especially with the super Bowl
- 1:12:19just eight nine days away, do you think it's you know, or if
- 1:12:25you have a number four that maybe I haven't thought about, but I was
- 1:12:29thinking, is it about winning money, the thrill of the gamble, there's
- 1:12:34the thrillers high, the gambling high, or just part of the conversation.
- 1:12:40A lot of things move in our society just because people want to be in,
- 1:12:50they want to have there that I said something about, we have a
- 1:12:54whole turn for it called fear of missing out fomo. Oh yeah, the
- 1:13:00fear of missing out. And there are people that, uh, the planking
- 1:13:04challenges, the tide pot challenges, all of those things that ended up being
- 1:13:09harmful and detrimental to people started on social media. And the reason people were
- 1:13:14doing it, knowing how it already it turned out they had deemed was because
- 1:13:17of Okay, we'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show right after this,
- 1:13:24Yeah, do you do what you want? Want you passage? Do
- 1:13:27you who you want? You? Ketch? Do you do what you want
- 1:13:29what you got? Yeah? Do you do what you want? You?
- 1:13:32Bet? You do who you want when you got? You know it?

- 1:13:51Some fans seem angry, the lacks civility toward one another. Some even get
- 1:13:57aggressive and unruly. Time out. What is going on? This has to
- 1:14:03stop. Let's not forget. School sports aren't just about winning, and they're
- 1:14:09definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out on the official or the opponent.
- 1:14:14They're about teaching lessons like perseverance, respect, and empathy so students can
- 1:14:19learn and grow as people, not just as players. We all have a

- 1:18:09when she had the baton, it was all that people could talk about there
- 1:18:14for about a two year window with Runda Rousey, she is thirty seven years
- 1:18:19of age. She is been for the last handful of years on the wrestling
- 1:18:26WWE Monday Night Ross begining a WWE will be full time hosts now by Pat
- 1:18:32McAfee. Yes, that same Pat McAfee from ESPN. Never know, with
- 1:18:40all the kind of little storylines over the last couple of weeks with Pat McAfee,
- 1:18:44this move could have been one of those where he's getting ready to hitch
- 1:18:47his wagon to something else. Yes, you never, you know, I
- 1:18:53wasn't a bull. I wasn't fully thinking I would do this, But then
- 1:18:58the controversy happened with is PN, and now I have a powerful network like
- 1:19:03the w W E Wrestling. Uh and if it just starts on Monday Night
- 1:19:08Raw, next thing, you know, I'm just their lead full time.
- 1:19:11Right, Uh, what's the got Michael Buffer or Jene Okerland, Bobby the
- 1:19:18Brain, Heenan and j R. Ross all those guys were announcers and matter
- 1:19:25of fact, w W they're going to Netflix now. They signed a five
- 1:19:30year billion dollar deal with that. But yes, and that's what I'm saying,
- 1:19:33They're you're starting to hit your wagon where now you see more opportunity with
- 1:19:40something that is matching exactly what I might have with ESPN. And in years
- 1:19:45past, you what your mind wouldn't think that with these sports networks, But
- 1:19:50we have seen so much turnover and so many different faces names, big names,
- 1:19:57and in some cases, uh, the separation of them and the network
- 1:20:02really was a mystery. You take Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, right,
- 1:20:08that kind of combo would have never been allowed to leave a network. Next
- 1:20:15thing you know, they've gone all the way over to Monday night football.
- 1:20:18That just you know, that's that's how it is now. And when I
- 1:20:21saw when you brought this, I know I have heard about the five billion
- 1:20:25dollar Netflix, and when you brought this story, I was thinking, Wow,
- 1:20:30maybe he because all this seems to be right after the whole Jimmy Aaron
- 1:20:35Rodgers, Jimmy Kimmel thing. And I was going to ask, do you
- 1:20:41think that part of it is that going over to a platform like Netflix,
- 1:20:45there is no FCC oversight per se. It's not network television. We can
- 1:20:50do and say different stuff. Plus Netflix is in house, like most of
- 1:20:57how that content, we would produce the show first and just sell it to
- 1:21:00Netflix. So if you got a problem, you come straight to the WWF.
- 1:21:03You don't go to Netflix with it. You don't go to the parent
- 1:21:06company that also owns this other network. And so they've got a lot more
- 1:21:11leverage, I believe, Well, I think he has the leverage as far
- 1:21:14as now really being able to tell ESPN by I'll say what I want to
- 1:21:18say and leave and go over here with Jim McMahon, who I just start
- 1:21:24off with the Monday Night Raw and then next thing you know, I'm in
- 1:21:28some action movie and in six years people have forgotten I was anything to do
- 1:21:34with football. I'm the voice of WrestleMania. What I'm telling you that's how
- 1:21:41it easily phased. Now people, as I've always famously said here on my
- 1:21:45MIC, when I was driving with my daughter and the song came on and
- 1:21:51I was like, oh, listen to Queen la TV. And my daughter,
- 1:21:55who I think maybe have been ten, eleven twelve at that time,
- 1:22:00didn't know Queen Latifa to be a rapper, right, she knew her to
- 1:22:04be an actress. Right. So it's when you you know, you think
- 1:22:10that the two were put together. But it's just like people on television,
- 1:22:16they might forget Michael straighthand we won't, right, but another decade from now
- 1:22:21that when he gets introduced to that fourteen year old they only know him for
- 1:22:28Good Morning America. These things like sometimes you see those old movies from the
- 1:22:31sixties and seventies, a lot of people didn't know Merlin Osin, Yes,
- 1:22:36was one of the baddest dudes they ever put his hands down on defense.
- 1:22:40They didn't They knew him as Marland Osen from a Little House on the period
- 1:22:45te what was his name, hunter, Fred Dryer. They didn't know about
- 1:22:50Fred Dryer playing d n for eight nine years for the RAMS. So you
- 1:22:58be thinking, now, it's not going to be forgotten. Yeah, it
- 1:23:00could easy to be Pat McAfee a decade from now. You know Pat McAfee
- 1:23:06for punting in the snow, how well punt save the world. You know,
- 1:23:12one of them mold crazy action movie keep Yourself kind of fit and you
- 1:23:18know, have a cameo with Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, because he already doesn't
- 1:23:23look like a punter when you watch him on the show, you kind of
- 1:23:26look like maybe he played another position anyway, So got the blonde hair show
- 1:23:32up as the the villain. I was gonna say, at least in one
- 1:23:39in the in the rock movie, the First Due, the First New not

- 1:26:23John Wayne Gandy Player's Lounge. I have been given full access to the players
- 1:26:32lounge on the sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Yeah, I know,
- 1:26:42he just signed a deal book. I need my advance on the next one
- 1:26:45too. They know I'm gonna be around. Yeah, I need it.
- 1:26:48Tro Boomer and wants some more because I got a really big team and they
- 1:26:53need some really big rings. They need some really nice welcome back to the
- 1:26:56show. On the Sportsock, Wayne Dandy talked about Author Smith, the former
- 1:27:01head coach of the Falcons, going to the Stillers to try to man that
- 1:27:06ship at offensive coordinator. The Detroit Lions, who went to the NFC Championship
- 1:27:13and just lost this past Sunday, they got their offensive coordinator back Ben Johnson,
- 1:27:20and Eminem says that he can go back and just destroy the tracks as
- 1:27:28when he got rumored that Ben Johnson was about to leave the Lions and go
- 1:27:31take a head coaching job. At that point, I think it was rumored
- 1:27:35he was going to the commanders, yes, but he changed his mind went
- 1:27:44back to the Lions as the o C. But Eminem said he had a
- 1:27:48disc track ready for Ben Johnson. I don't know the name of it,
- 1:27:54but Eminem said, I guess he was gonna go in on Ben Johnson,
- 1:27:58the old coordinator. But since he's back, he says he loves him.
- 1:28:01I'm this little dish track. He's gonna shelf it. You decide to leave.
- 1:28:08But and it sounded from what he was saying that like a lot of
- 1:28:14people, they feel like they have the groceries in the cabinet. Yes,
- 1:28:18to cook this meal. It's gonna be an epic, man. They just
- 1:28:20need everybody to come back to cook this meal. When they cut the gas,
- 1:28:26were just waiting on the gas to get I think he is not saying,
- 1:28:29hey, don't go somewhere if we don't. He just wants to run
- 1:28:32this back, this one, this whole thing back with the old ce's the
- 1:28:36head coach, the talent we got just just do it again and then it
- 1:28:44sounds like being can lead. But he just wanted him to stay one more
- 1:28:46year. With the way the offense want the man out. He in the
- 1:28:49front yard cutting the gas on now, how you're gonna leavefore we start cooking
- 1:28:53you speaking the language and a lot of people sometimes that's what they want.
- 1:28:56They want to be able to when you have the team on the famous quotes
- 1:29:00is when you have it, you have to win it. You won't always
- 1:29:03have it now and people sometimes keep believing you do. But if that was
- 1:29:09the case, team would win every year. But you get a team,
- 1:29:14you got to try to capitalize on it. Now. We just spoke about
- 1:29:16the NBA stretching the draft out to two nights and how that's holding some of
- 1:29:23these young NBA prospects in a pattern where they're waiting to find out what to
- 1:29:28do with their future. You just said that it's not guaranteed to just because
- 1:29:31we did good this year, everything, even with everybody being in place,
- 1:29:35is going to be the same next year. Are the fans being unfair asking
- 1:29:41someone to delay their future possibilities and to be that upset with him that you
- 1:29:48would even come up with a whole distract eminem may't drop no new music and
- 1:29:53how long? And the first thing that inspired you was the offensive coordinator leaving
- 1:29:58and would make you want to create something and release it. Are you being
- 1:30:01unfair to that man in his future possibility? No, okay, because he
- 1:30:08doesn't. I would think that even with if he was offered that commandage of
- 1:30:13that, he doesn't necessarily have to take it unless he just really wants to
- 1:30:17be a head coach. I mean I think they consider like, Okay,
- 1:30:21what's the front office, like, what's the roster looking like? What can
- 1:30:25we do? As far as someone taking the job. I don't think a
- 1:30:28guy would just take the job because it was offered to him, right,
- 1:30:31so they would he would consider that and it's like, Okay, if I
- 1:30:35come back, then maybe we can contend again next year. I think all
- 1:30:40that's taken into account where someone will come back. They don't have to like
- 1:30:43just you know, because we've seen the pattern of offense coordinator or coordinators taking
- 1:30:48a job and they've only been the coordinator for one year and then they take
- 1:30:53that head coaching job, and maybe they're not all with and they're not all
- 1:30:57ready to take that head coaching job so soon. So it may be not
- 1:31:00necessarily that he's not ready, but it's like he doesn't necessarily have to take
- 1:31:04it. It's okay to come back, and they're all pro amar Ra st
- 1:31:09Brown says from what he has talked to Ben Johnson about being his comeback with
- 1:31:15a mindset of unfinished business. So this team really felt like and even when
- 1:31:20they played Sunday, come on now, most people thought, especially about half,
- 1:31:26they were right there sitting on the wall of trying to get to Vegas.
- 1:31:30So it's not like it was that you could taste that ninety two dollars
- 1:31:33Hamburg. Yeah, they were sitting there and and that's how you really you
- 1:31:39do come back because I sat there on the doorstep of that and lost to
- 1:31:43the Patriots at home. After the two thousand and one season with the Steelers,
- 1:31:50we had we kind of like the Ravens. We had everything we needed
- 1:31:56cooked that meal, and Belichick and his tea came in and then the hand
- 1:32:02of God opened up because of the way they won the game. Typically win
- 1:32:06the game, your offense has to score the two touchdowns they did get.
- 1:32:13One was a punt return and one was a kickoff return. They beat us,
- 1:32:17if I remember, the score was seventeen fourteen and the defense didn't let
- 1:32:24the Patriots score that day. But you do leave and you go into the
- 1:32:27off season with that hoping as many people as you can bring back. So
- 1:32:32we will see. But Eminem, keep that dish track and I know what
- 1:32:35you was thinking. You were going to sell at least a million copies in
- 1:32:42Michigan. That's all I need? How much is it like two dollars?
- 1:32:46Now? Dollar? That's two million dollars? Hey, Sam, Hey do
- 1:32:51the other people? And I gotta just off being mad. Make that money.
- 1:32:56I lost on the bet for the game. That's all I was doing,
- 1:32:59was trying to crow, but I lost them. I better meet on
- 1:33:02the game. I can ben justin something and get removed. Yeah, you
- 1:33:08know, you know him, He and Eve forty had a bit, so
- 1:33:11you know, uh the chiefs fans uh. A couple of people have asked
- 1:33:16me about the ones that froze in the backyard. Now, they did arrest
- 1:33:21some gentleman who owned the home, Jordan Willis, but three of his friends.
- 1:33:29I imagine they're all supposed to be friends. This story has been so
- 1:33:31kind of weird and mysterious that there's different reports, and I kept thinking at
- 1:33:36some point somebody was going to write it in a way that I understood that
- 1:33:41they were earlier in January all at Jordan Willis home watching a Chief game,
- 1:33:49and some kind of way, three of the four of them froze to death
- 1:33:54in the backyard, and the Willis gentleman went disappearing for two days or slept.
- 1:34:01He was sleep, he was sleep. And from my understanding, now,
- 1:34:03what drug is that a two days sleep? There's there's very there's more
- 1:34:11than one drug two days yeah, depending on now. I mean, because
- 1:34:15you could be like on some stuff that kept you up for six days and
- 1:34:18then take something and then it gives you, you know, after the sixth
- 1:34:23day bender, you sleep for two days because your body just need that you
- 1:34:27collapse, or you could be doing a little of this, a little of
- 1:34:30that and then just go to sleep. And you was right there at the
- 1:34:33threshold. Now, how did they freeze in the backyard? Because I get
- 1:34:39the whole plane crash in the Alps right, couldn't find uh anywhere to go
- 1:34:47to me. That's the most mysterious. How do I freeze the death in
- 1:34:50the backyard. I just opened the gate and get my calls and go home.
- 1:34:55I can roll to the the door, right, I could do I
- 1:35:00could do so, I could just leave and go to my house. We'll
- 1:35:03see heat is working well. The only thing is that if you think those
- 1:35:08guys went outside for something and the door was locked. But from I understanding,
- 1:35:12you said he was arrested. The first report I read it he vacated
- 1:35:15the home and then he checked itself into rehab. Well that was the last
- 1:35:19report. So as he been arrested. Since he went to rehab, I
- 1:35:23thought he got they take him. They took him down to the station,
- 1:35:26and then when they bailed out, he's going to rehab. Now, okay,
- 1:35:30But I've heard like four or five different stories, and that's why I've
- 1:35:32been confused on how to even deliver this because it was such a mystery and
- 1:35:38I never figured out how they froze to death in the back and I didn't
- 1:35:42bring the and see, that's the thing, sports Jack. I didn't want
- 1:35:45to seem insensitive because the victims here are the ones I have the most questions
- 1:35:50for. It's from what I understand, they were literally like in his backyard
- 1:35:55of his house. It's not like on some wilderness type of localeation. I
- 1:36:00mean, I guess you bang on the door, he's sleep, He's not
- 1:36:02coming to the door. Then you you decided to stay outside. You couldn't
- 1:36:08go around getting your cars. And I'm not trying to be funny or dismissed
- 1:36:13if I'm just saying that cold, well come you. Typically he has that
- 1:36:18kind of off killed her perspective on something like this, How do three adult
- 1:36:29males freeze to death in your backyard? Well? Adding up that, uh,
- 1:36:33he said he was asleep for two days. Whatever drug that was he
- 1:36:39gave to them, and what drug was that? Big Kenny feel it's we
- 1:36:46could just make it fall out in your backyard. I could. I could
- 1:36:50just speculate what they was on. I could. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:36:56But there are something that all three of us fall out. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:00I'm saying because you know, it's it's game night, so we we
- 1:37:04going in, We're trying to get there, and then maybe maybe the batch
- 1:37:09was mixed wrong, Maybe we just jumped out off the porch too early.
- 1:37:13I don't know. And then at some point I start to blackout, so
- 1:37:16I go get me a little air. Then you come to check on me,
- 1:37:19and then he stumbles out the doors locked and what one of the victim's
- 1:37:26father said, they think they've seen something that they shouldn't have seen at at
- 1:37:33this guy's house, and he killed them and he and he killed them and
- 1:37:36he probably did that by he gave them some kind of drug that knocked them
- 1:37:42on conjures and just put him outside poison, That's what they were saying.
- 1:37:45I read a report yesterday or somethingody he was never poison. I would drugged.
- 1:37:49I don't want this to I know this isn't the point, but I
- 1:37:54would much rather prefer that be the scenario. Then three people just walked out
- 1:38:00side and couldn't figure out how to get back inside, yeah, or had
- 1:38:03just so reluctant to leave that they froze to death. There is now there's
- 1:38:09a lot of drugs that can make you pass out for several days, but
- 1:38:13I would hate to think that anybody was on them that's strong. Where one
- 1:38:17person sleeping for two days, why three other people freeze? Will be back

- 1:43:55something? I mean liking somebody and not liking something that's as individual I they
- 1:44:01keep reporting on it, like Brock party. I missed the statement, like
- 1:44:05like he's into the super Bowl in the past because of where he was drafted.
- 1:44:12I'm known in the past he would be champion. You know, I

- 1:44:28But they're not. You know, they are giving them a hard time.
- 1:44:32And who is that? Can meaning the media meaning the fans as we

- 1:44:48something I missed. I don't remember a Brock pretty converse student interview him after
- 1:44:56the game. I was saying I was about to say the same thing.
- 1:45:00I don't even know what I heard them, like in a college interview interviewing,
- 1:45:09but what I'm saying, you know, we don't know if he's high

- 1:45:57are fourteen thousand dollars literally and all it over scenes what you read is like,
- 1:46:02well, they're waiting on him purty not to be something or they need
- 1:46:06to label him. He got his team deep into the playoffs last year.
- 1:46:11A lot of people felt like if he had played in the Eagles game or
- 1:46:14didn't get hurt in it, that they San Francisco would have maybe represented in
- 1:46:18the Super Bowl this year people they got into it and the man looked like
- 1:46:26he can't even grow facial hair, but loo he doesn't. He's never in
- 1:46:31the huttle screaming at no one, look like he got Trent Williams as his
- 1:46:35bodyguard. And so what does that say about us as fans and media that
- 1:46:40we can't look at that guy and go, that's the athlete that they ought
- 1:46:44to be promoting. That's the athlete. That's how you do it there,
- 1:46:47Brock, way to go, buddy. You you found yourself, pull yourself
- 1:46:53up by your bootstrap. Septh round draft pick, you shouldn't even be in
- 1:46:56the league, and here you are in the super Bowl. What is it
- 1:46:58about us that we can't look at that and go, see son, when
- 1:47:01you grow up, you want to be like Brock because I can't under what's
- 1:47:04the difference between his story and tom Brady's just thinking the same thing. I
- 1:47:10mean, everybody used to pull for tom Brady before, like the first two
- 1:47:15or three Oh tom Brady, tom Brady. Then all of a sudden you
- 1:47:17start hearing the flake Gate and you hear a couple other stories about different things,
- 1:47:20and people want to add, oh, well, maybe he's not all
- 1:47:24that. But like I said, once again, those are normally feel good
- 1:47:29stories that you see the packages and everything. Being the last draft, that
- 1:47:33pick in the draft and he did this, he didn't wasn't expected to be
- 1:47:36this and that. That is normally the stories. Did everybody want to be
- 1:47:42on the underdog? Well, I'll tell you this about athletes and moving on,
- 1:47:46just so you understand how there are always some late or unknown people that
- 1:47:51move from level to level that at that next level to what that team is
- 1:48:00doing, that person gets it. So when you be trying to figure out,
- 1:48:06well, how this guy playing this well fall so far, Sometimes it's
- 1:48:12not necessarily the talent, it's that which you are specifically asking me to do
- 1:48:18on this level. I actually get it to where it becomes I'm as good
- 1:48:27as anybody, right. And sometimes you have all the talent and be the
- 1:48:32first pick of the draft and where you go and what you're trying to do
- 1:48:36does not sync up with what you are doing. And it happens when people
- 1:48:43leave high school where you have this. I was mister Georgia and I went
- 1:48:47here and what this school was doing did not sink up. The light didn't
- 1:48:54go off, and that's you know, That's why we when they drafted Steph
- 1:48:59Curry. We didn't see this, right, did you? We saw him?
- 1:49:03I saw, yeah, I thought of it. I mean even I
- 1:49:05didn't think you're gonna be You're gonna shoot better than Ray Allen. No,
- 1:49:09I did not see that. Now we saw. We know. If you
- 1:49:12did your line, you're just telling yourself. You didn't see this man being
- 1:49:14a better shoot. He thought he got because his daddy plays, you know,
- 1:49:16his daddy could. She was gonna give you a solid He was gonna
- 1:49:19give you a solid sixteen and good bay solid six You did not see in
- 1:49:28the gym in range. You did not see from anywhere. And he was
- 1:49:31gonna show up for at least eighty percent of his days. And yeah,
- 1:49:34you didn't see it. You didn't see nobody did. As soon as I'm
- 1:49:36on the wood, I'm in rain. He didn't see that. He be
- 1:49:42back. He visioned it now much don't go Awayne Born of the Sports John

- 1:52:09it's time for the school board when we put a spin on life and sports
- 1:52:15and how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Kilcome,
- 1:52:33we'll go back to the shop the Sports Shock Wayne Game. Good morning to
- 1:52:38you out there. The Seattle Seahawks have decided to go with Mike McDonald,
- 1:52:45former Ravens defensive coordinator, is now their head coach. How they let Pete
- 1:52:49Carroll go a couple of weeks ago. Pete Carroll, who won a Super
- 1:52:55Bowl with the Sea Hawk, something that a lot of people that are NFL
- 1:53:00fans never really saw it, and even took them to another Super Bowl in
- 1:53:03which they lost to the Patriots. Mike McDonald was the decordinator of that Ravens
- 1:53:10defense this year that was basically the number one defense in the NFL. He's
- 1:53:15thirty six, thirty seven years old, so half the age of Pete Carroll
- 1:53:20signing a six year deal. I did feel like the Seahawks were going to
- 1:53:27go with a defensive coordinator. I thought it was going to be Steve Wilkes
- 1:53:32of the forty nine Ers. Maybe that's who the commanders are holding their job
- 1:53:39for Washington. Commanders are the only team without a head coach, and typically
- 1:53:45if there's three or four jobs open, teams that go to the conference championships,
- 1:53:49their assistance typically get the job. Only thing sometimes is you could keep
- 1:53:55going like Steve. But I felt like the Seahawks were going to hire Steve
- 1:53:59Wilkes because he is has been in that division. He's already out there on
- 1:54:05the left coast. But maybe that Washington job someone like al Steve Wilks will
- 1:54:12get after the super Bowl. We've talked about the desirability of the job.
- 1:54:17That's a big yeah. Like the OC of Detroit figured it would be better
- 1:54:23just stay where he was to take the Washington job. So are they reaching
- 1:54:30out to other people and other people just kind of on some Now I'm good
- 1:54:33and he's the the best of Is he willing to go and prove himself that
- 1:54:40way? Like I'll go to Washington? And and with those coordinators, sometimes
- 1:54:45I think they feel like they're in a vein that they're going to be next
- 1:54:50up for the job. So they have already started compiling like a coaching staff,
- 1:54:57right, And then sometimes I think you can be caught off guard,
- 1:55:00like you think, Okay, I was successful, but they're gonna need me
- 1:55:04to run it back again and then I'll get the job and then I can
- 1:55:10fly you out here. And I'm like, well, who's going to be
- 1:55:12your wide receiver coach? And I don't have nobody yet because I haven't start.
- 1:55:16Because you do, that's one of your You've got an assembly a staff,
- 1:55:21and if you are not already kind of in that vein of who you
- 1:55:27would put together that can hold your job. But the Washington job has not
- 1:55:30been attractive over the last couple of years. You're still talking about this the
- 1:55:34Washington commanders. So it's a prestigious job as one of the fan bases that
- 1:55:40stays in that top five or six. So there's a lot of prestige that
- 1:55:43goes with it. But a coach would definitely want to know what's going on.
- 1:55:49You know, what power I have, who's really in control? So
- 1:55:54we will see all that goals earlier, go ahead. No, I was
- 1:55:58gonna ask, so what do you think what Eric being to me? What
- 1:56:01that opportunity? I mean, is that window close? Possibly? And I
- 1:56:08don't know, Eric, I don't feel that Eric. I've said this so
- 1:56:13many times before. Eric be Enemy did not want to leave Kansas City.
- 1:56:17I believe somewhere it might not have been wrote written down. He thought Andy
- 1:56:26Reid was just gonna go on into the Hall of Fame and he was gonna
- 1:56:32be there. And sometime if you don't like Eric, aba do say,
- 1:56:36if you don't push them bags aside and let that go, you take that
- 1:56:43to your next job. So I don't know, you know, you would
- 1:56:48think Eric be Enemy would have been the obvious choice to say what they say.
- 1:56:56I don't know. I'm just just thinking. I mean, all these
- 1:57:00years that you know he would like you said he was there at Kansas City,
- 1:57:02thought that was gonna fall in his line. Then everybody, Oh,
- 1:57:05he's going to be the successor of the Ron Rivera. Now you're not there.
- 1:57:09I mean it's not they're not even checking for you. Well, he
- 1:57:13had some issues during the season. Remember there was a couple of dust up.
- 1:57:15Well, a couple of players that was there didn't particularly like his coaching
- 1:57:21style in the face and you faked a couple of reports out of there that
- 1:57:26they didn't necessarily like the offense of coaching styles. So they did get to
- 1:57:30evaluate him in that situation. So do you as that look like that?
- 1:57:35Does that more baggage? Do you take your bags and move on again?
- 1:57:41Or when you know that you came there and you feel as though you are
- 1:57:46that have that head coaching, it's an opportunity. You feel like you you
- 1:57:50we if I didn't promise you the job and you you came here thinking I
- 1:57:55will give you the job. But he came with Daniel Daniel Snyder was the
- 1:57:58still owner. Now that goes to it. I didn't bring you here.
- 1:58:01Yeah, that's just something I was just I asked you earlier about betting.
- 1:58:06Yes, remember, I just want to make sure I get that back in.
- 1:58:11We have a true sexual content, sexual vibe, ultra sexual society right
- 1:58:19now. We also have a drug problem where and when I say drug problem,
- 1:58:29I'm not talking about necessary a crime. I'm talking about the part where
- 1:58:31everybody just seems like they are one blink away from diving into some drug.
- 1:58:39Right Like it used to be, you know, blasphemy, but now everybody
- 1:58:45smokes, drinks, do something something party. Betting is in that same vein.
- 1:58:51And that's why I asked that question. Betting used to be part of
- 1:58:58a list of things that you stayed away from, something you had to hide.
- 1:59:02Now it's seem gambling, smoking, drinking, and loose women. Used
- 1:59:05to yes, I used to had all that. Now it's right there.
- 1:59:09Those three things are right there. We can start a kit strokes away on
- 1:59:13your fingers, just real quickly if you had to put out of the three
- 1:59:15things I was saying. Is the rise because people are trying to win money,
- 1:59:23the thrill of the gambling, or as Big Kenny says, what they
- 1:59:28call fomo, I said, part of the conversation, right, They just
- 1:59:31want to be in that They heard Drake vet this much money, so now
- 1:59:34they want to bet it. Which one of those three big Kenny the fomo?
- 1:59:41Because gambling has always offered the other two opportunity to win money in the
- 1:59:45high from gambling has been there since gambling came into existence. It's only exploded
- 1:59:51in its popularity since social media coman you great, I agree that it's fomo.
- 1:59:58It was someone like dres He made it cool, or you know,
- 2:00:01other celebrities making it cool, so other people want to do it too.
- 2:00:05The thrill because you're gonna get that You're gonna get the money, regardless if
- 2:00:11you win. If I win five dollars off you, if I bet a
- 2:00:14Coca Cola, as long as I know that you gotta pay for my Coca
- 2:00:16cola. That thrill to know that I beat you, And that's just the
- 2:00:20thrill, regardless of the money or whatever, just to know that I picked
- 2:00:25or I did the right thing, and I would go with the fomo.
- 2:00:28I find that most things in our society now is driven by people, just
- 2:00:32even if it's not what they want. Somebody famous or it being some cultural
- 2:00:39phenomenon. People just jump in. They weren't even on their It's not even
- 2:00:45what they want. They're actually allergic, actually allergic, And all my life,
- 2:00:49I ain't never wanted chew a tiede pot. I watched my clothes at
- 2:00:56least every other week and I've never done that. And Ocean, the truth
- 2:01:02is he will throw your in the ocean. It's time to wrap things up
- 2:01:08on the Sports jug Show with Wayne Denny. When you get designs an Ocean

- 2:01:44our iHeartRadio and catch us on the replay. We appreciate you tuning in today.
- 2:01:50And I know it's gonna come off because this is like my third fourth
- 2:01:54time this year having to go in on my Hawks Lakers in town. Monday.
- 2:02:02The Hawks rolls up and beat the Lakers. But during the game,
- 2:02:09the Hawk fans started chanting, we don't want you, referring to Di'angelo Russell,
- 2:02:16the point guard of the Lakers. Now I don't want D'Angelo Russell because
- 2:02:21he snitched and I haven't forgot when he recorded Swaggy Pet back in the day
- 2:02:28with the Lakers. He's just not somebody that I would want a round.
- 2:02:32But I got to throw my Hawk fan base in the ocean because we ain't
- 2:02:39got We ain't got there yet. We ain't that good to be telling people
- 2:02:43that we don't need no help. I love, we like twelve out of
- 2:02:48fourteen right now. We need help. We need anybody that might want to
- 2:02:55come through here and figure out how to get us back in the right direction.
- 2:03:00Don't don't get beside yourself, y'all here like we we ain't no trophies
- 2:03:05around here. We don't want you. Yeah, we want everybody. Don't
- 2:03:11don't send that out there like we the Miami Heat or the Celtics or something.
- 2:03:17No, we want anybody. Were down with the Charlotte Hornets. We're
- 2:03:21all in the same boat. We want help. If Dean Russell can help
- 2:03:27us, I'll bite I'll bite the belt for a minute. But we don't
- 2:03:32want you. When did we get their Hawks? Y'all starting to become like
- 2:03:36the falcon Oh, y'all are the same people some of that home fans fucked
- 2:03:46up clank. We don't want. We don't shackers want everybody. Checkers want
- 2:03:58everybody want to back Donald the check it the wait for anybody to come by,
- 2:04:01getting them one of them Checker first. I might ride downtown to get
- 2:04:04me a Checkers today since ninety two because they all are closed from the Sports
