Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: One thing that happened yesterday very tough to watch, and
- 0:04Speaker 1: we want to make sure that we celebrate the season
- 0:06Speaker 1: that was was Kyrie Irving tearing his acl don't look, Candice,
- 0:11Speaker 1: if you haven't seen it, already, goes down, goes to
- 0:14Speaker 1: the free throw line, clearly emotional. He knows that something
- 0:18Speaker 1: has happened. The MAVs fans who have been through so
- 0:21Speaker 1: much this year, and I implore all NBA fans what
- 0:25Speaker 1: Dallas fans are going through right now is awful, and
- 0:28Speaker 1: I feel for them as another fan of the NBA.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But for Kyrie Irving, who had been playing a ton
- 0:33Speaker 1: of minutes as of late, who had been trying to
- 0:36Speaker 1: carry this team in the absence of other stars to
- 0:38Speaker 1: the playoffs, you feel for him and everything he's going.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Absolutely for him. Like I said, he understood what was
- 0:44Speaker 2: going on, but his positivity, the way he from taking
- 0:50Speaker 2: if you would have taken a backseat, allowing the stars
- 0:53Speaker 2: to be stars, allowing Luca to be Luca, but still
- 0:56Speaker 2: being a complimentary player, and when you need me, I
- 0:58Speaker 2: can step up to now, going back bringing that old
- 1:01Speaker 2: thing back sure and still being a vet, still being
- 1:04Speaker 2: a leader, trying to empower everybody, So that's why I
- 1:06Speaker 2: feel like a lot of us. For me personally, you
- 1:09Speaker 2: hate to see that because he's put his best foot
- 1:12Speaker 2: forward since he stepped into Dallas, he really had good
- 1:15Speaker 2: things has happened for him, So you hate to see this.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I feel for him as a player because when you
- 1:24Speaker 3: go through something like that, there's a lot of self doubt.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I shattered my knee when I was pretty young and
- 1:32Speaker 3: had some knee injuries into the later parts of my
- 1:36Speaker 3: career and getting that next step back is the hardest thing.
- 1:41Speaker 3: But I think it's also getting over the initial blow
- 1:45Speaker 3: of not being able to play the game that you
- 1:48Speaker 3: love the next day and kind of, you know, not
- 1:51Speaker 3: being able to go to work and be on a
- 1:52Speaker 3: team having to devote hours to rehab versus being able
- 1:59Speaker 3: to work on your game. And Kyrie is a student
- 2:01Speaker 3: of the game of basketball. If you watch him play
- 2:03Speaker 3: the game, he is one of the most skilled players
- 2:06Speaker 3: you will ever see on the court. So he puts
- 2:09Speaker 3: the time in and I just wish him. I just
- 2:12Speaker 3: wish him the best. I wish him a speedy recovery.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I hope he takes his time, but selfishly, as a
- 2:18Speaker 3: fan of basketball, the game is going to miss him
- 2:20Speaker 3: because on a night in a night, on an out basis,
- 2:23Speaker 3: he gave us a show yep and he came on
- 2:25Speaker 3: the court and played with purpose and intention and he
- 2:29Speaker 3: was just fun to watch. And so I just I
- 2:31Speaker 3: can't wait for him to get back on the floor.
- 2:33Speaker 3: But I'm just sending so much love to him.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Worst type of injury is a freak injury. Of course,
- 2:39Speaker 4: he's in shape, he's playing some of the best basketball ever,
- 2:43Speaker 4: and a freak injury like that puts him out for
- 2:45Speaker 4: the season. A feel for Kyrie Dallas. They still had
- 2:50Speaker 4: a chance with the healthy him, with a healthy a
- 2:52Speaker 4: d Now they don't have a shot. I think the
- 2:55Speaker 4: Dallas organization need to go to Joel and b Route
- 2:58Speaker 4: shut ad Dowe allsou get ready for next year. You know,
- 3:04Speaker 4: every time you make moves, of course they're for the now,
- 3:06Speaker 4: but there's always a one two three year window of Okay,
- 3:10Speaker 4: we need to win a championship, and they have no
- 3:12Speaker 4: shot of winning a championship without Kyrie and without a
- 3:16Speaker 4: healthy AD. So if I was nic on those guys,
- 3:18Speaker 4: I would just shed a d to Dolbum just you know,
- 3:22Speaker 4: work them out hard in the summer and come back mixt.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Year that was in question is next year because of
- 3:27Speaker 3: when the days in ACL is a year.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh it is.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But as you're saying right now, Kyrie, rest up. It's
- 3:35Speaker 1: not just the people at this desk, players around the NBA,
- 3:39Speaker 1: from Lebron sending prayers up to Kyrie calling him a
- 3:42Speaker 1: wizard with the ball because he is James Harden. Everyone
- 3:45Speaker 1: hopes Kyrie. What you've been doing lately has been special,
- 3:49Speaker 1: including Luka Doncic and we hope that you can get
- 3:51Speaker 1: healthy soon. A lot going on still NBA, on TNT,
- 3:55Speaker 1: Kevin Love's son and Love as well
