- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, guys, this is Teddy Mellencamp and I'm joined by
- 0:04Speaker 1: my friend Emily Simpson for our new spinoff show Popping Off,
- 0:09Speaker 1: where we are digging deep on this season of vander
- 0:12Speaker 1: Pump Rules. Hi guys, welcome to another episode of Popping
- 0:16Speaker 1: Off with Teddy Mellencamp.
- 0:18Speaker 2: And Emily Simpson. Do I hear a little cold in
- 0:22Speaker 2: your voice? I think you hear a lot of cold
- 0:24Speaker 2: in my voice. I'm not sure where it came from.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I think here's what I think. I think it's from
- 0:28Speaker 2: the other night at the bar.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I was thinking it may have been because I think
- 0:32Speaker 1: I saw your hand on the spray nozzle.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Probably, I mean, I'm pretty sure.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I mean, I'm confused while your name wasn't mentioned, and
- 0:42Speaker 1: don't give anything away because I don't want to get
- 0:44Speaker 1: in trouble. But right my spidery eyes ninety nine percent
- 0:48Speaker 1: sure that both people on that bar were.
- 0:51Speaker 2: My co hosts Onto Typo Pop.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I cannot confirm or deny that allegation at this time.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I do.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I also feel like I may have saw It's unclear
- 1:02Speaker 1: if I saw your hand take the like soda nozzle
- 1:08Speaker 1: you spray it into tameras crotch, or if that was
- 1:11Speaker 1: her own hand sprang the sprite or whatever it may
- 1:15Speaker 1: have been.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I had this at this point. I don't even know
- 1:18Speaker 2: what happened. I just know I'm sick, very sick, very ill.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Apparently when you're forty eight you could not handle girls'
- 1:26Speaker 2: nights out like that.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Well, I appreciated it, and thank you, you know, actually
- 1:32Speaker 1: not thank you. I wish people didn't spoil it and
- 1:34Speaker 1: post the videos because I would have been way more
- 1:36Speaker 1: excited to make fun of you guys in real time
- 1:38Speaker 1: when it's airing.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'm sure. I'm sure you'll do it again. Yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 2: don't worry.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'll always have an opportunity to push forward. So I
- 1:47Speaker 1: guess we start. Do you have any do you have
- 1:51Speaker 1: any personal things you'd like to talk about before we
- 1:53Speaker 1: get started?
- 1:54Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you this. Do you think there's
- 1:56Speaker 2: an age limit for dancing on a bar like? Do
- 1:58Speaker 2: you think there's an age limit for living out your
- 2:01Speaker 2: coyote ugly dreams? No?
- 2:04Speaker 1: No, I don't. I mean, no one broke a hip,
- 2:07Speaker 1: so you're not too old. No, I mean I've already
- 2:09Speaker 1: done that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: How we're past that? So I got a new hip.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Now that's actually a sign you've already broken your hip
- 2:19Speaker 1: and you have a new hip.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I got a new hip I had. I had to
- 2:22Speaker 2: try it out on the bar.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Well, it seems that you're you're in good your your
- 2:27Speaker 1: body is physically able to handle it.
- 2:29Speaker 2: So I say, you're still fine to do it.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And I'm pretty sure if I was there, I probably
- 2:34Speaker 1: would have joined you to do the same thing.
- 2:36Speaker 2: But we had a place that we went to where.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I was, where I grew up, where it was called
- 2:41Speaker 1: my gosh, I don't know what its real name was.
- 2:43Speaker 2: What we called it the Slimer because they would let
- 2:46Speaker 2: like underage kids and it sounds like a classy place.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, classy, yeah, I mean my fake I d My
- 2:53Speaker 1: first fake id's name was Emily, was it?
- 2:57Speaker 2: It was? You know why, because that's a very like respectable,
- 3:02Speaker 2: like nice name. It doesn't it doesn't scream underage drinking. True.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I mean, it wasn't me. It was somebody else, And.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I want to know whoever would have allowed this because
- 3:13Speaker 1: Emily from my ID was not only thirty six years
- 3:18Speaker 1: old when I was seventeen, but also she also brunette,
- 3:23Speaker 1: yes not one part.
- 3:26Speaker 2: She was also tall. We went with all of it.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But people were like, whatever, if you must come to
- 3:32Speaker 1: the Slimer to dance on the bar, just come on it,
- 3:35Speaker 1: so be it, So be it. We'll give you two
- 3:37Speaker 1: Long Islands Long Island iced tea so you can throw
- 3:40Speaker 1: up when you leave and your parents will be really proud.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:45Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't really have anything to report other
- 3:48Speaker 1: than I just I don't know. I know you've been
- 3:51Speaker 1: on this workout journey, and this is not an ad
- 3:53Speaker 1: you guys. This is just truly my curiosity. Have you
- 3:57Speaker 1: done this EMS concierge before? No, I don't even know
- 4:00Speaker 1: what that is. Holy, okay, so what's EMS is? It
- 4:04Speaker 1: sounds like an emergency service. Well it feels like that. So,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I mean, anybody that knows me knows I have all in.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I work out every day in some capacity, whether it's
- 4:14Speaker 1: a walk, a run, strength training, Like I'm always moving
- 4:18Speaker 1: so stassy, which is why I'm telling the story. Stossy,
- 4:22Speaker 1: who used to be on Ban of Pump Rules for
- 4:24Speaker 1: a million years and who I think is very.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Missed when I'm watching this.
- 4:29Speaker 1: She posted on her stories a couple of weeks ago
- 4:31Speaker 1: about it, and I asked her, I'm like, do you
- 4:32Speaker 1: like it. She's like, I love it. It changed my body.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's incredible. I never believe people when they say things
- 4:39Speaker 1: like that. Right, Like, I'm like, okay, we'll see and
- 4:43Speaker 1: people will maybe call this cheating because it's the equivalent
- 4:47Speaker 1: to a three to four hour workout in twenty minutes.
- 4:51Speaker 1: But it is so hard. Wait, I don't understand what
- 4:54Speaker 1: it is. It's a workout. Well, they come to your house,
- 4:57Speaker 1: they strap you with a wet outfit, and then they
- 5:03Speaker 1: put all these like I don't know electro. I didn't
- 5:07Speaker 1: do much research on it. I just was influenced and
- 5:09Speaker 1: tried it. I did it one time last week. You're
- 5:12Speaker 1: only allowed to do it one time a week. That's
- 5:14Speaker 1: how intense it is.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah, does it hurt?
- 5:17Speaker 1: I was sore for an entire seven days until I
- 5:21Speaker 1: tried it again today and then it's twenty minutes.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I'm like shaking. My kids are laughing at me.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So I'm curious to report back, like after four weeks
- 5:30Speaker 1: if I can really see a difference. But I'm going
- 5:33Speaker 1: to keep going once a week because I have the
- 5:35Speaker 1: opportunity to.
- 5:36Speaker 2: But you've got to try it, and I need to.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Know if you feel one hundred and seventy five when
- 5:40Speaker 1: you try to do a squat, because squat with no way.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's like this, Like I say, it's like a machine.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You hook yourself up to a machine. Yeah, well a
- 5:49Speaker 1: professional hooks you up to a machine. Yeah, why we're here,
- 5:53Speaker 1: I may as well plug all in if you want
- 5:54Speaker 1: to go all in. We've also thanks a lot of Zimpic.
- 5:58Speaker 2: We've now had to slash our price. Is it all in?
- 6:01Speaker 1: But even if you're on ozimpic, all in is an
- 6:03Speaker 1: amazing thing to do because once you go off of it,
- 6:07Speaker 1: you have to stay consistent with your moving your body,
- 6:10Speaker 1: what you're eating. And I think, Emily, your true testament
- 6:12Speaker 1: to that. You're like, I, yes, but I am so
- 6:14Speaker 1: we're con tired of the ozempic comments. It's been no
- 6:17Speaker 1: but no, but your testament year right, But that is
- 6:20Speaker 1: my point. You continued a healthy lifestyle, yes, afterwards, Yes,
- 6:24Speaker 1: and I kept it off.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I've kept the weight off for over a year now.
- 6:28Speaker 2: And it's not because of ozempic. It's because I go
- 6:31Speaker 2: to the gym seven days a week and I bust
- 6:33Speaker 2: my ass and I don't eat crap anymore.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And when you do, that's fine. It's not about never
- 6:39Speaker 1: eating crap or no. I do order taco bell like
- 6:42Speaker 1: once a month at like ten o'clock at night.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yes, and I think that is balanced.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But I think the point is a lot of people
- 6:49Speaker 1: are going to struggle if there is no sut if
- 6:52Speaker 1: you don't continue on and you were to just take
- 6:54Speaker 1: a shot and then you expect it to last forever. No,
- 6:57Speaker 1: you have to change your mindset and you have to
- 6:59Speaker 1: change soone different things. And that's why I'm talking about
- 7:02Speaker 1: all In.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Go to all In by.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Teddy dot com and we will hold you accountable to
- 7:06Speaker 1: whatever your life change may want to be. But yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 1: that's the end of our plugs right now. It just
- 7:11Speaker 1: naturally came up because I am very inspired by you
- 7:14Speaker 1: watching your posts and how you have changed your story,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and I think, oh, thank you. I think it's cool.
- 7:28Speaker 1: The Vanderpump Rules headline starts off with Rachel Levis pops
- 7:35Speaker 1: up on the runway at New York's Fashion Week amid
- 7:38Speaker 1: new vander Pump Rules page six article. Here, she made
- 7:44Speaker 1: her way to New York City in time for fashion Week,
- 7:47Speaker 1: where she walked the runway for Claudie by Joanna Hernandez
- 7:53Speaker 1: on Thursday, Sporting two different looks.
- 7:55Speaker 2: She looks beautiful, she really does. She's very statuesque.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah, she's statue at like she especially in this like
- 8:04Speaker 1: third picture here where she's like and it looks like
- 8:06Speaker 1: a silver gown. I mean, she looks like a ninety
- 8:09Speaker 1: supermodel here, I mean hops to her.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Apparently.
- 8:14Speaker 1: This is also written in the article She's a former
- 8:17Speaker 1: pageant Queen won the title of Miss Sonoma County in
- 8:20Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, twenty sixteen, oh twenty sixteen, my bad, and
- 8:26Speaker 1: then later went on to compete in Miss California and
- 8:28Speaker 1: Miss Malibu.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Did you do pageants growing up?
- 8:31Speaker 1: No?
- 8:32Speaker 2: I only did one pageant and it was, uh, this
- 8:35Speaker 2: is this is people don't know this stuff about me.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But I was married to a marine before I was
- 8:41Speaker 2: married to Shane, and I actually did a missimper Fi pageant.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I couldn't even tell you what. You don't know what
- 8:47Speaker 2: Miss simper Fi like, I don't know what that is.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Marine's like simper fi. Oh okay, okay, it means always faithful.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Anyway, I was in law school at the time, so
- 8:58Speaker 2: it had to have been like, oh two or three
- 9:04Speaker 2: something like that, long time ago.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And what was did you have a talent or was
- 9:09Speaker 1: there a bathing.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Suit portion No, I don't remember there was no. I
- 9:13Speaker 2: don't know. I don't think there was a bathing suit
- 9:15Speaker 2: portion no. And I have no talent.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I was gonna say, if you had to pick a
- 9:19Speaker 1: talent right now, like if we were going to have
- 9:21Speaker 1: to go on like a hush wife pageant, yes, something
- 9:25Speaker 1: or other, what.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Would your talent be? Well, I would have two. It
- 9:29Speaker 2: would be dancing on bars if we could just bring
- 9:31Speaker 2: a bar and okay, or just yelling at people. Really
- 9:36Speaker 2: good at that.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm really good at committing to saying I'm right about
- 9:44Speaker 1: something even if I'm wrong right. And I'm also excellent
- 9:49Speaker 1: at holding an a burp because I had constantly.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Refos and especially.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Today now that I kind of coffee like, you will
- 10:02Speaker 1: hear trace of a burp, but it'll be nothing like
- 10:05Speaker 1: what the burps wore when I had shep on the pod,
- 10:08Speaker 1: where he.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Was just the whole time. I mean, I think he.
- 10:13Speaker 1: May have been slightly overserved at the point at that point,
- 10:16Speaker 1: but I mean I've now become an expert at holding
- 10:19Speaker 1: in burps. And then I can do one thing that
- 10:23Speaker 1: I don't know that this is appropriate for.
- 10:25Speaker 2: A miss, I'm scared faithful competition.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Well, I need to know because I've only met three
- 10:31Speaker 1: people in the world that can do this, and now
- 10:33Speaker 1: I need to know if you're one of them.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Probably not? What is it?
- 10:36Speaker 1: Can you do this? No? My daughter is one of
- 10:39Speaker 1: the three, and I feel like you just won the pageant.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Can someone give her a crown? You just won?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Hold on, there you go, my very first page and
- 10:50Speaker 1: I won it for tongue tricks.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Good job, good tongue tricks.
- 10:54Speaker 1: All right, Well, okay, congratulations to Raquel Rachel.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Here's a I do want to say.
- 11:01Speaker 1: If we are officially changing her name back to Rachel
- 11:04Speaker 1: and she has, I would appreciate page six and anybody
- 11:07Speaker 1: who writes these rundowns to fall in line, because it
- 11:10Speaker 1: is very confusing to my small brain to see both
- 11:13Speaker 1: names written here. So page fie, I always say Rachel Raquel.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I know, I mean it's some official person. And while
- 11:22Speaker 1: we're there, also, let's switch from Schwartz to just shorts
- 11:27Speaker 1: short the time.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Just in the rundown.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'm fine with him just being Shorts.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Okay, we'll just go with Rachel and Shorts. This is
- 11:33Speaker 2: a deadline article.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Vanderpromp Rules Season ten Reunion, Part one becomes Bravo's most
- 11:39Speaker 1: watch episode of all time, as network touts top rated
- 11:44Speaker 1: twenty twenty three. This season was a sizable spike and
- 11:49Speaker 1: viewership in the wake of scandaval. Even though the drama
- 11:52Speaker 1: on screen hadn't caught up to the real life gossip
- 11:54Speaker 1: just yet, viewers were eager to get into the series.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's probably why Part one of season ten reunion is
- 12:00Speaker 1: now most watched with five point nine million viewers. That
- 12:04Speaker 1: episode collected three point six million viewers in the eighteen
- 12:08Speaker 1: to forty nine demo, which is the biggest demo audience
- 12:11Speaker 1: for the network in more than twelve years. So this
- 12:15Speaker 1: is where I have to say, Alex, do you still wish?
- 12:18Speaker 2: Yeah, the end of.
- 12:19Speaker 1: All never happened? And then vander Pomper Rules Season ten
- 12:24Speaker 1: saw one hundred and nine percent growth compared to the
- 12:27Speaker 1: year prior.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Wow, what do you think do you think the part
- 12:30Speaker 2: one everybody tuned in for part one and then they
- 12:33Speaker 2: just dropped off for Part two and part three?
- 12:35Speaker 1: Well, I think remember all of this dropped right before
- 12:40Speaker 1: the reunion, so like they went back and filmed things
- 12:44Speaker 1: after the fact. So like the last couple episodes weren't,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you know, like it just we were still waiting for
- 12:51Speaker 1: that sit down interview that Andy did with Tom Sandoval
- 12:56Speaker 1: and with Rachel, So it was like there was so
- 12:58Speaker 1: much anticipation. But I do think it really that's kind
- 13:04Speaker 1: of all they talked about, and that's this is the problem.
- 13:08Speaker 2: That's all they're talking about. Now, Yes, that is, and it's.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Becoming problematic for me as a viewer to watch.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I need more. I'm done, And I actually, I mean,
- 13:21Speaker 2: maybe this is probably an unpopular opinion, but by the
- 13:24Speaker 2: end of the episode, I actually felt sorry for Tom,
- 13:27Speaker 2: like I just felt badly for him.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Well, I think it's one thing for let's wait, we
- 13:33Speaker 1: will talk. I agree with you, but we'll talk about
- 13:36Speaker 1: that once we get through the headlines and this next
- 13:39Speaker 1: one a news article. Rachel reacts to Tom saying he's
- 13:43Speaker 1: still in love. During the Vander Pompoules episode from February sixth,
- 13:48Speaker 1: Tom admitted he's still much in love with Levis. In response,
- 13:51Speaker 1: she recently compared Sandoval's love bombing during their secret relationship
- 13:56Speaker 1: to tactics used by cults to attract new members. Levice
- 14:01Speaker 1: told relationship expert Calvin robertson I hope it's Robertson and
- 14:06Speaker 1: not roberts Robertson Robertson on her February ninth episode of
- 14:11Speaker 1: Rachel Goes Road podcast. It's interesting that you say its
- 14:14Speaker 1: origin is from cults and religious institutions, because people joining
- 14:18Speaker 1: churches or cults are trying to find a place of belonging,
- 14:21Speaker 1: of acceptance. Gradually, over time, it becomes a control tactic.
- 14:26Speaker 1: It's almost like that phrase of frog and boiling water.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I don't know that phrase.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Oh, you've never heard that before. It's like when you, okay,
- 14:34Speaker 1: you put a frog in water and then you die. No,
- 14:38Speaker 1: it's in the water, and then you turn the stove
- 14:40Speaker 1: on to boil it, and it doesn't jump out because
- 14:42Speaker 1: it's a gradual heating up. It doesn't know it's boiling.
- 14:46Speaker 2: It's a slow death. It doesn't jump out because it
- 14:49Speaker 2: just gradually gets hotter hotter, hotter hotter. It's like it
- 14:52Speaker 2: doesn't notice, so it thinks it's enjoying life until it's crispy, right,
- 14:58Speaker 2: like a hot tub.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So they accepts you die at the end. Also, did
- 15:04Speaker 1: you know that reptiles didn't have feelings? This is a
- 15:07Speaker 1: new What do you mean you thought they did. I
- 15:11Speaker 1: thought like when people had a pet iguana that like
- 15:13Speaker 1: that iguana started to like you.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I don't know, I think it really just wants to
- 15:17Speaker 2: eat you.
- 15:18Speaker 1: That's that's essentially like I watched this thing about how
- 15:22Speaker 1: baby crocodiles will never love you, because even if you
- 15:25Speaker 1: raise them from the beginning, it's not like a bit
- 15:27Speaker 1: bowl that you have raised from the beginning in its
- 15:29Speaker 1: nature versus anyways, I digress, She says, it's interesting that
- 15:34Speaker 1: you say. She goes on about the colts and the
- 15:36Speaker 1: boiling water, and then Levis also detailed her pattern of
- 15:40Speaker 1: falling for narcissistic men as she noticed like her ex
- 15:43Speaker 1: fiance James Kennedy.
- 15:44Speaker 2: She admits, I fell in love.
- 15:46Speaker 1: With one narcissistic asshole. After another relationship ended after five years,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I fell into the hands of another narcissistic asshole. She adds,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I feel like maybe I missed out on some precious
- 15:57Speaker 1: time learning these lessons the hard way.
- 16:00Speaker 2: I just feel like this is just a tactic to
- 16:03Speaker 2: completely blame someone else.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And do I think that you know Tom Sandoval has
- 16:10Speaker 1: narcissistic tendencies? Yes, I mean I'm not a doctor, but
- 16:14Speaker 1: I think a majority of people on television on a
- 16:20Speaker 1: reality television show.
- 16:22Speaker 2: What are you saying.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I'm saying that we might have a touch on them
- 16:26Speaker 1: as well. Probably Okay, But here's my point. When you
- 16:30Speaker 1: compare the relationship to him like a cult, like he's
- 16:35Speaker 1: a cult leader, it's not taking any responsibility. It's basically
- 16:38Speaker 1: putting on.
- 16:39Speaker 2: The blame on him, saying that he has some you know,
- 16:41Speaker 2: like cult like ability to turn her and to suck
- 16:46Speaker 2: her in.
- 16:46Speaker 1: There's like comparing him to Charles Manson, like it's like
- 16:51Speaker 1: zero accountability.
- 16:52Speaker 2: It's like, Okay, I get it, maybe he's a narcissist
- 16:54Speaker 2: and yeah, he's an asshole whatever. But by comparing it
- 16:57Speaker 2: to a cult, that's like zero accountability on her part.
- 17:00Speaker 2: She had no like no free will at all.
- 17:02Speaker 1: And especially listen, whether he's in a uh, you know,
- 17:07Speaker 1: a narciss sist or not. If she wanted to set boundaries,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I personally think the way to set boundaries is to
- 17:14Speaker 1: be transparent with that person you're setting boundaries with.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Like I have somebody in my life.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Who you know, is a part of my not not
- 17:23Speaker 1: my household, but somebody in my life that I've had
- 17:26Speaker 1: to set boundaries with. I didn't set them in private,
- 17:29Speaker 1: I set them to that person, like, just so you know,
- 17:32Speaker 1: this doesn't work for me. If this is the way
- 17:34Speaker 1: that you're going to talk to me about blah blah
- 17:35Speaker 1: blah blah. These are my Yeah, this is my comfort levels,
- 17:39Speaker 1: it's my friend a friendship, this is a fair family,
- 17:43Speaker 1: a family men her Okay that just like this is
- 17:47Speaker 1: this is what works for me, and this is what doesn't.
- 17:49Speaker 1: So if I'm not responsive to blah blah blah, this
- 17:52Speaker 1: is why. And I just am confused. Did they never
- 17:57Speaker 1: have a conversation where she said I'm done, she just
- 18:00Speaker 1: stop talking to him?
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. That's an interesting question. I don't know.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Is there a conversation where they said we're going to
- 18:07Speaker 2: go our separate ways. I don't feel like there is, because.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Because he's waiting on her to call on his birthday
- 18:13Speaker 1: and he seems really upset and he's saying he's in
- 18:15Speaker 1: love with their billy Lee gets involved. But we'll continue on.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But that's my question, Like, if you're with a narcissist
- 18:24Speaker 1: or whomever, an alleged narcissist, do you have the conversation
- 18:29Speaker 1: it's over or you just ice them out? One would
- 18:31Speaker 1: think like, that's like cooking a slow frog as well. Well.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I think you probably have to just ghost them at
- 18:37Speaker 2: this point, because how do you have an effective conversation.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I think you can send a message with a lightning bolt.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I was gonna say she could just card a postcard.
- 18:51Speaker 1: She could send a postcard and could get it when
- 18:53Speaker 1: Ann's cleaning up after the birthday. It could say happy birthday.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I wanted to let you know that this is no
- 18:58Speaker 1: longer a conducive relationship for me. I feel manipulated. I
- 19:02Speaker 1: don't need to hear your response, but it's.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Over, right, and then Anne could tell him.
- 19:09Speaker 1: And then Anne could gossip with Arianna about it.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Right. It sounds like the perfect scenario, like I nailed it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Oh gosh, speaking of things not nailed.
- 19:20Speaker 1: And listen, we were feeling bad for you, Tom, but
- 19:23Speaker 1: then this video that Billy Lee posted.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Really see that's the problem.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I feel bad for him, and then I see that,
- 19:29Speaker 1: and then I'm like, Okay, now I don't feel badly.
- 19:31Speaker 2: For you anymore. Yeah, so he's you know.
- 19:34Speaker 1: The video comes after Santa Fall's appearance on the Billy
- 19:39Speaker 1: and the Kid podcast, where he referred to Robinson as
- 19:43Speaker 1: his addiction following their initial date, so he said, this week,
- 19:47Speaker 1: my addiction of the week is definitely my friend Victoria
- 19:51Speaker 1: I have been hanging out with. She's definitely super awesome
- 19:54Speaker 1: and she's one of the sweetest people. She is a model,
- 19:56Speaker 1: and she works a lot, and she's very successful. I mean,
- 19:59Speaker 1: he's trying to get at Rache with those comments right there,
- 20:01Speaker 1: right right there. She does well for herself, but she
- 20:04Speaker 1: is also very humble and cool. She's very sweet. Santoval
- 20:09Speaker 1: and Robinson have not officially announced or confirmed the relationship status. However,
- 20:14Speaker 1: in late January twenty twenty four, both shared Instagram post
- 20:17Speaker 1: that featured the two of them.
- 20:20Speaker 2: But hold on, the video is where I was. I
- 20:23Speaker 2: feel like the I feel like the video confirms their
- 20:25Speaker 2: relationship status.
- 20:27Speaker 1: But here's and maybe maybe this is just me so
- 20:33Speaker 1: like I have a thing.
- 20:34Speaker 2: You know, I ride horses. I love horses.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I've never been into guys that ride horses because I
- 20:41Speaker 1: have a real hang up about somebody needing to be
- 20:47Speaker 1: a guy that I'm attracted to needs to be better
- 20:49Speaker 1: than me at something I do.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Okay, so you're the best at horseback riding, so you
- 20:55Speaker 2: can no, I'm not the best.
- 20:58Speaker 1: But if there was a guy that was not most
- 21:01Speaker 1: of the attractive male horse riders. Yes, maybe aren't the
- 21:08Speaker 1: best riders, But that's how I feel about watching Tom
- 21:13Speaker 1: sing that song close to Victoria's mouth before kissing her, Like,
- 21:20Speaker 1: if you're gonna do that move, you need to sound
- 21:25Speaker 1: like I don't even know, like, you need to sound
- 21:28Speaker 1: like Sean Mendes. It can't sound the way it sound
- 21:32Speaker 1: and be sexy. You need to look and sound like
- 21:34Speaker 1: Sean Mendez. If you're gonna take your shirt off and
- 21:37Speaker 1: kiss me on someone's insist story, that's just the rules.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 1: And if not Sean Mendez, Justin Bieber, Justin I love
- 21:45Speaker 1: Justin Bieber. He's kind of me too, right, I know,
- 21:47Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. I feel like, you know, he
- 21:51Speaker 1: and Haley are they broken up or are they still together?
- 21:54Speaker 2: They were together at the super Bowl.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Oh well, I guess they're still together. He was trying
- 22:00Speaker 1: to kind of kiss her. She was like, and he
- 22:02Speaker 1: was like, she kind of pulled away. So then, I mean,
- 22:05Speaker 1: of course I've dissected that eighty two times. But long
- 22:08Speaker 1: story short, it wasn't hot to me hearing him sing
- 22:12Speaker 1: doing that move. Yeah, I guess maybe without a shirt on.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I feel like he should just rap I mean, or
- 22:21Speaker 1: I mean lip syncing is an option that's true too,
- 22:26Speaker 1: or voice lessons, or maybe he sounds better when he's
- 22:30Speaker 1: not leaning in to try to kiss somebody and Joel's
- 22:33Speaker 1: so maybe don't do that.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I don't think so. All right, on to episode three.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Let's take a quick break and we'll come back to
- 22:38Speaker 1: talk about episode three.
- 22:48Speaker 2: All right, we are back.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Episode three, Shorts tell Sandoval he should have apologized for
- 22:53Speaker 1: the ultimate betrayal. Sandoval says James did the same thing
- 22:57Speaker 1: to him, but much worse with Kristen. You see Shorts
- 23:00Speaker 1: in this moment, like, can I do just apologize, Like
- 23:04Speaker 1: I'm trying.
- 23:05Speaker 2: To help you.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to like throw you a softball and you
- 23:09Speaker 1: just keep pounding.
- 23:10Speaker 2: At it and screwing stuff up. Yeah. So okay, So
- 23:14Speaker 2: in this moment, even if he doesn't feel like he
- 23:16Speaker 2: should apologize for some for this ultimate betrayal, you think
- 23:22Speaker 2: he should have just done it anyway, just to get
- 23:24Speaker 2: back in the good grases of people, Like is there
- 23:26Speaker 2: a part where you just eat shit where you're just like, okay,
- 23:28Speaker 2: I'm sorry so that you can move forward.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Like you're right I see I handled this like an asshole.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I wish I would have done things differently. I'm sorry.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Just even if you're not, even if you thought you
- 23:41Speaker 3: were madly in love with this girl, even if your
- 23:43Speaker 3: other relationship was flawed, even if he's done it to
- 23:47Speaker 3: you at this point, none of that matters because us,
- 23:50Speaker 3: as the viewers of Vanderpump rules at having to recap
- 23:52Speaker 3: this show.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'm sick and tired of trying to watch two different
- 23:57Speaker 1: casts because people refuse to be in your so right
- 24:01Speaker 1: only for the sake of me and Emily right, just
- 24:04Speaker 1: say you're freaking sorry.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so we can talk about something else.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but Shorts emphasize. Shorts emphasizes if he gets really
- 24:15Speaker 1: upset every time someone confronts him, it's going.
- 24:18Speaker 2: To have a negative impact on his life.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Is nobody going to ask why Sandoval has a giant
- 24:23Speaker 1: pair of anal beads around his neck at this party,
- 24:26Speaker 1: because that's also something I noticed.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I thought it was just like a It looks like
- 24:29Speaker 2: a giant caterpillar that like kids made in like their
- 24:33Speaker 2: preschool class. That's all I can think about, Like, like,
- 24:37Speaker 2: what group of preschoolers made this for you? And you're
- 24:41Speaker 2: wearing it, like do you have a little sister we don't.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Know about, Like we need information. But then we go
- 24:49Speaker 1: from the anal beads and the singing happy Birthday to
- 24:53Speaker 1: James and Ali arrive to Emo Night. James tells Ariana
- 24:58Speaker 1: he came back from the house He's says Sandoval brought
- 25:01Speaker 1: up Kristen After asking for an apology, Ariana says Sandoval
- 25:05Speaker 1: only has people left in his life that he pays.
- 25:08Speaker 1: And then they did a montage with all the people
- 25:10Speaker 1: in his life that he pays. Yeah, and then they
- 25:12Speaker 1: were like and they were like, these are the moments,
- 25:16Speaker 1: the moments we live for. And then Schwartz arrives to
- 25:22Speaker 1: Emo Knight and apologizes for missing Sena set Shina tells
- 25:26Speaker 1: him this is what happens when she chooses Sandoval. Sandoval
- 25:30Speaker 1: is thankful that everyone is a part of his life.
- 25:32Speaker 1: He's sad that Rachel didn't text him happy birthday, which
- 25:36Speaker 1: led us to something we talked about in the headlines,
- 25:38Speaker 1: which he was expecting a call.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Then maybe there was no breakup, but I mean at
- 25:46Speaker 2: least a birthday postcard.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, or like a birthday lamp, a birthday postcard,
- 25:56Speaker 1: but also if you really are living your best life
- 26:00Speaker 1: for Ariana, what do you care?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Wait? Didn't he buy her a lamp that she touches
- 26:04Speaker 2: and then he touches and then they touch it at
- 26:06Speaker 2: the same time. Remember the lamp?
- 26:10Speaker 1: Did you make this up?
- 26:11Speaker 2: Did this actually happened? And I blocked it out? So
- 26:14Speaker 2: there's like a laymp like he bought her a lamp.
- 26:17Speaker 2: It's like a light and when she touches it like
- 26:19Speaker 2: a no, like flap on. He touches the lamp and
- 26:22Speaker 2: he touches the lamp at the same sign. I've had
- 26:25Speaker 2: a lot of take well.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I don't remember this. I'm not saying you're not right.
- 26:30Speaker 1: If this is right, this is brilliant. But all of
- 26:37Speaker 1: this is it's it's really trying hard. And I can
- 26:40Speaker 1: see what's going to happen is they are going to
- 26:42Speaker 1: keep pitting.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Shena flip flopping back and.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Forth and uh, but I would probably be like Shena
- 26:50Speaker 1: in this moment.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I see both sides.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But I also missed the part where Sheena was best
- 26:56Speaker 1: friends with Arianna because she says that in this episode
- 27:00Speaker 1: is my best friend.
- 27:03Speaker 2: But are we gonna make those vibes?
- 27:04Speaker 1: Because to me, Katie and Katie and Ariana our.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Best friend see thank you there was a lamp. I
- 27:12Speaker 2: just would like to confirm, Oh Tom bought Rachel a
- 27:16Speaker 2: friendship lamp. I can't.
- 27:21Speaker 1: And when they touch it, like she touches it or
- 27:23Speaker 1: he touches it, it like lights up so they can
- 27:25Speaker 1: tell each other that.
- 27:25Speaker 2: They're like thinking of each other in different locations.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, our one of our producers just said, that's
- 27:32Speaker 1: so cringe.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I actually don't hate it. I don't like I was wondering,
- 27:36Speaker 2: like on his birthday, maybe she touched the lamp to
- 27:39Speaker 2: like let him know that she was thinking of him
- 27:41Speaker 2: on his birthday. I'm a genie in a buttle baby.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I can't. I need to know.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Then after Emo night where they all had side parts,
- 27:53Speaker 1: I'm like, I have a side part every day and
- 27:54Speaker 1: I'm not EMO, Like, why Joe, why do you have
- 27:59Speaker 1: to take away the ninety from us? Right? I love
- 28:02Speaker 1: the side part. I still rock a side part. I
- 28:04Speaker 1: mean we because we're old. I mean, even though I'm
- 28:07Speaker 1: a little older than you, I wouldn't say a lot.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Are you in your fifties yet? No, I'm still forty eight. Yeah,
- 28:15Speaker 1: so you're not a lot? Then, Ariana and Katie get ivs.
- 28:21Speaker 1: They're in the house, they're in the place where they share.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Guess what Anne's doing.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Cleaning up dead birthday flowers. That's what Anne's doing. Every
- 28:33Speaker 2: episode has dead birthday flowers. I just would like to
- 28:36Speaker 2: point that out. I just can't.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And then Arianna says people manipulate she Nea to feel
- 28:42Speaker 1: bad for them. Katie admits it makes her nervous to
- 28:45Speaker 1: get close to her. Would it matter to you if
- 28:50Speaker 1: Sheena was still engaging with Shorts or Sandoval?
- 28:54Speaker 2: I don't think so. But that's from an outsider viewpoint,
- 28:57Speaker 2: so I don't know what it was would feel like
- 29:01Speaker 2: to go through all those emotions within the group. From
- 29:03Speaker 2: me watching it from an outsider, I'm like, who cares
- 29:06Speaker 2: if she talks to him? He seems like a nice guy.
- 29:09Speaker 1: But well, this is always I mean, I've from the
- 29:13Speaker 1: couple of years that I have watched this show, it
- 29:17Speaker 1: seems like if there is a girl that they always
- 29:19Speaker 1: leave out, it's Shena. So a lot of the time
- 29:23Speaker 1: her relationship has been with these guys, and so she's
- 29:28Speaker 1: leave her out, Yeah, because the girls leave her out.
- 29:32Speaker 1: And I just feel like to then be like, oh,
- 29:34Speaker 1: you can't be friends with this person when clearly nobody's
- 29:38Speaker 1: freaking dumb these they're all paid to be on the
- 29:41Speaker 1: same show, right And I'm here to tell.
- 29:44Speaker 2: You right now, you and I will not do well.
- 29:46Speaker 1: If you start saying you refuse to film with somebody,
- 29:48Speaker 1: even on your show that has nothing to do with me.
- 29:50Speaker 1: But I have to recap it. I just think it's
- 29:52Speaker 1: obnoxious behavior.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I don't do that. I've never done that.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I'm a team player, team player, but Anne is actually
- 30:01Speaker 1: a bigger team player than you, and I need to
- 30:04Speaker 1: know what her full job description is.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Is it assistant.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Housekeeper, mediator or up balloon blower upper yeah, male opener,
- 30:18Speaker 4: male opener.
- 30:19Speaker 2: And then white noise turner on.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Off her purchaser of friendship lamps. I want to know
- 30:28Speaker 1: what this position pays, because, like, I feel like this
- 30:31Speaker 1: is actually I.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Can do these things, you know, because Anne is very tactful.
- 30:37Speaker 2: She manages both relationships. You would be an asshole.
- 30:41Speaker 1: There's no way you could do it.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Coming there, Oh it's not. You would be in the
- 30:47Speaker 2: middle of everything.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I'd be like, hold on, yeah, Arianna, let's get real pissed.
- 30:52Speaker 1: And I'd be like, oh my god, Tom, she is
- 30:55Speaker 1: such a beach, you would be. I couldn't help myself.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I just stir it, keep it, that's right. Then Sandoval
- 31:03Speaker 1: brings Lisa flowers up pump where there's more dead flowers
- 31:06Speaker 1: and half bottles of champagne and things have taken a
- 31:09Speaker 1: rough time.
- 31:10Speaker 2: I'm like, that's all she needs is more flowers, when
- 31:13Speaker 2: clearly she's trying to move flowers out of that location.
- 31:16Speaker 1: She's like, if I could, I could do something, It'd
- 31:18Speaker 1: be a foot massage or a truck or.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Or some big boxes. Right, can you carry this shit out?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Can you take the ship to shorts? And Sandy's please?
- 31:33Speaker 1: I mean seriously, but I hate.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I hate to even say this because it paints me.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I kind of agree with everything the LVP said in
- 31:44Speaker 1: this scene.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Oh, I agree with everything she said. She was on it.
- 31:47Speaker 2: She was on the ball.
- 31:49Speaker 1: She was on the ball. She is trying to level
- 31:56Speaker 1: with Sandoval. She's not being mean to him. He starts
- 31:58Speaker 1: to get a like, you know.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Like you're attacking me and she wasn't.
- 32:03Speaker 1: And she wasn't, And she levels him back down. She
- 32:06Speaker 1: gets him to take some sort of accountability. She talks
- 32:10Speaker 1: about suicide, and she talks about it in a way
- 32:14Speaker 1: that I think as.
- 32:15Speaker 2: A viewer, you really can understand.
- 32:18Speaker 1: You hear the backstory, like I do, see Lisa More
- 32:22Speaker 1: as the producer who cares about the show versus a
- 32:26Speaker 1: mother figure.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Though I felt like it was both. I mean, I
- 32:31Speaker 2: understand she's a producer, but I did feel like it
- 32:34Speaker 2: was genuine. It felt like tough love to me, where
- 32:38Speaker 2: it was like solid advice. What are you doing? Move
- 32:43Speaker 2: out of the house. You know, if you're having these
- 32:46Speaker 2: dark thoughts, you have to tell someone, talk to me.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I'll be there for you. I don't know. I liked
- 32:51Speaker 2: what she said. She was on point the whole time.
- 32:53Speaker 2: I agree.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I thought she was on point. But the problem is
- 32:57Speaker 1: we find that it didn't really work. But I can't help.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Like Standival says something, he goes, oh, no, Shorts actually
- 33:07Speaker 1: said this. But when he walks up when they're at
- 33:14Speaker 1: wherever they are, sir, wherever the heck they are, see
- 33:17Speaker 1: you next Tuesday, and he says, you know, I'd rather
- 33:23Speaker 1: be treated like at least they're acknowledging my presence. I'd
- 33:27Speaker 1: prefer that and being rude to me or you know,
- 33:31Speaker 1: with hate or whatever, then indifference.
- 33:34Speaker 2: See. I agree with that statement because I've always said
- 33:38Speaker 2: when it comes to an ex or someone in your
- 33:41Speaker 2: life that's toxic. If you can get to the point
- 33:44Speaker 2: where you're indifferent, then that's the ultimate feeling. Like that's
- 33:48Speaker 2: where you've reached, like the top of the mountain, you
- 33:51Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like with Shane's ex wife, Like
- 33:54Speaker 2: I feel indifference. I don't feel jealousy or hate or anything,
- 33:57Speaker 2: because all those emotions our strong emotions. But when you
- 34:02Speaker 2: feel indifference, that literally means that you've means you're done.
- 34:06Speaker 2: You're just you're done, you don't care. Yeah, And difference
- 34:09Speaker 2: is just it's a good place to be when it
- 34:12Speaker 2: comes to X's I don't know if it's a good
- 34:14Speaker 2: place to be when you're on a show, when you're
- 34:16Speaker 2: on a reality television show.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Getting iced out right, we get to Sena and Katie
- 34:28Speaker 1: going out for dinner. Sena says they used to be
- 34:31Speaker 1: close and they're trying to spend more one on one
- 34:33Speaker 1: time together. The foreshadowing shadowing of this is brilliant because
- 34:37Speaker 1: at some point we're going to see that Shena made
- 34:39Speaker 1: out with Shorts allegedly, and so I'm wondering if this
- 34:46Speaker 1: is just about to be whatever, and this is going
- 34:49Speaker 1: to sound bad, but it's it's a little bit hard
- 34:54Speaker 1: for me to see nobody really getting messy on ban rules.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Like I appreciate when Lala and Lala and James are
- 35:08Speaker 1: sober because I think it's there they bring it regardless,
- 35:15Speaker 1: this is their life. It's something that's better for their life.
- 35:18Speaker 1: But when people are dabbling in sober curiosity, it's not.
- 35:24Speaker 2: That's such a it's such a funny term though, sober
- 35:27Speaker 2: curious like that. Just I mean, why does it even
- 35:30Speaker 2: have a term? It has its own term where you're
- 35:32Speaker 2: just like thinking about not drinking, it has a term. Yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 2: I mean, I just I don't know.
- 35:38Speaker 1: When I think Vanderpump rules, I don't see like a
- 35:41Speaker 1: sober group.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah, they can all just sit around and hold hands
- 35:46Speaker 2: and sing Kumbaia and talk about how they inspire each other.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and go to meetings like this isn't. This isn't
- 35:52Speaker 1: what's happening. So, I mean, I guess the sober curiosity
- 35:57Speaker 1: with the juice crafters, little thing that Shorts it's going
- 36:00Speaker 1: to have to do. But then we get to Shorts
- 36:05Speaker 1: telling Lisa that his oh gosh, now the segue into
- 36:08Speaker 1: this really makes me look like an asshole.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you are an asshole.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Well, I mean I am, at least I have accountability.
- 36:16Speaker 1: But Shurtz tells Lisa that his brother Bert was rushed
- 36:19Speaker 1: to the hospital, possibly for cirrhosis. Bert was jumped outside
- 36:23Speaker 1: of a bar and was never the same. Lisa says,
- 36:25Speaker 1: did he really drink that much? And then Lisa says
- 36:29Speaker 1: she's opening a new restaurant in Tahoe. Shorts invites himself,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and of course Lisa goes.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Sure, but invite everybody. Yeah, it's a cast trip, It's okay.
- 36:40Speaker 1: But then also, why when Schwartz was doing the inviting
- 36:43Speaker 1: of everybody, did he tell them you can get your
- 36:45Speaker 1: own place?
- 36:45Speaker 2: Like do they have to on cast trips? They have
- 36:47Speaker 2: to pay for their own hotel room. I guess if
- 36:50Speaker 2: you don't stay, if you don't stay at the Lisa
- 36:53Speaker 2: Vanderbalm Tahoe location, you have to get your own I.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Like that, all chomping at the bit. Then they're at
- 37:01Speaker 1: the oh, we could just call it the sur circle.
- 37:04Speaker 1: They're at their sur circle and Sandoval is ready to
- 37:09Speaker 1: be apologetic to the rest of the group. Arianna says
- 37:13Speaker 1: she doesn't want Sandoval in her circle. She speaks for
- 37:17Speaker 1: the full group. Sandoval apologizes to Jesse, the waiter of Allay.
- 37:23Speaker 2: This this whole scene where Sandoval shows up and then
- 37:27Speaker 2: he sits at the table, The whole scene like gave
- 37:30Speaker 2: me a little anxiety because I just I felt I
- 37:34Speaker 2: felt badly for him, well.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Because you know, he's like showing up and it's because
- 37:41Speaker 1: he has to. He's under contract rights, so awkward, he
- 37:47Speaker 1: knows no one wants him there. And I'm feeling bad
- 37:51Speaker 1: for Schwartz too, because like, why because your friend has
- 37:55Speaker 1: done an asshole move, is that really Schwartz's fault.
- 37:59Speaker 2: No, That's that's why I don't understand the backlash against Shorts,
- 38:03Speaker 2: like let it go, let him, let him be friends
- 38:06Speaker 2: with him, let him be friends with everybody. There has
- 38:09Speaker 2: to be someone that bridges the gap.
- 38:11Speaker 1: So I mean, they think he conspired, but still just
- 38:15Speaker 1: because they think he conspired with him about it, you know,
- 38:18Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that they need to be so mean
- 38:20Speaker 1: about Schortz's wrinkled shirt.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Like that made me sad. And then he was like
- 38:25Speaker 2: I feel he's like it's the same, says Well. I
- 38:31Speaker 2: was like, I felt really.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Sad about it, and I was like, and you don't
- 38:35Speaker 1: you can tell he's like going through Shorts is going
- 38:38Speaker 1: through it too.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I'm like, why are they being so fucking mean to Shorts?
- 38:41Speaker 2: And it's like he's regaled.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Sure, he's trying, he's trying, and he did say he
- 38:46Speaker 1: ironed it, like gosh. But then Shorts does the inviting
- 38:54Speaker 1: to the whole group and Arianna, you know, when.
- 38:58Speaker 2: She says she will not be near her ex, Laala.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Asks Shorts why he feels the need to stand by
- 39:04Speaker 1: Sandoval's side. Shorts says their friendship is strained. Lala says
- 39:08Speaker 1: he'll look back and regret this. I'm a little bit
- 39:11Speaker 1: confused here because La La last week was kind of
- 39:15Speaker 1: the voice of reason saying what we were all saying.
- 39:18Speaker 1: But I mean, she reached out to Rachel. Then she
- 39:22Speaker 1: reached out to Rachel, and she also asked, Arianna, you know,
- 39:26Speaker 1: why don't you move out of the house, Like.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's a little it's it's a little playing
- 39:32Speaker 2: both sides. But I feel like she she just says
- 39:36Speaker 2: the things that she that the audience is thinking at
- 39:39Speaker 2: the time, even if it contradicts what she said the
- 39:41Speaker 2: week before.
- 39:43Speaker 5: But I guess she's giving us what we need. We
- 39:45Speaker 5: need all of these questions and kind of the la
- 39:48Speaker 5: la too. Like I feel like I'm the one that
- 39:50Speaker 5: does that kind of stuff too, because I can I
- 39:52Speaker 5: know what people want to know.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Then Ariana tells Shorts she gave up on him.
- 39:58Speaker 2: This was also it's too much.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Uh. She tells Shorts she gave up on him and
- 40:04Speaker 1: her life is a lot better because of it. Schwortz
- 40:06Speaker 1: tells her not to speak for the group and her
- 40:08Speaker 1: ego is getting a little too big. I don't under
- 40:11Speaker 1: like you've already come for Shorts for months. You see
- 40:14Speaker 1: that you're all going to be filming together. They didn't
- 40:17Speaker 1: fire these guys, so stuck it up, Buttercup at this point,
- 40:22Speaker 1: like they're not they didn't fire them. If they fired them,
- 40:26Speaker 1: or the guys didn't come back, go for it, break
- 40:30Speaker 1: them through the coals. But they're there. Yeah, so make
- 40:34Speaker 1: some effort. Do you think that her ego is getting
- 40:37Speaker 1: a little too big? Do you agree with what he said?
- 40:41Speaker 1: I don't know that it's necessarily her ego, But I
- 40:44Speaker 1: don't think that the you know what we were talking
- 40:48Speaker 1: about earlier with Indifferent, she hasn't hit the I feeled
- 40:54Speaker 1: enough that I'm indifferent.
- 40:56Speaker 2: She's in the angry stage right now, which to me,
- 41:00Speaker 2: I mean she's not over she's in the hatred stage.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Like she's very like, very emotional hate anger stage.
- 41:08Speaker 2: She's definitely not over it. She needs to get to indifference.
- 41:11Speaker 2: If she gets to indifference, she is good, golden. Yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Once she gets to indifference, she won't give a shit
- 41:16Speaker 1: if he's sitting there or not sitting there.
- 41:18Speaker 2: She can still carry on a conversation.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I mean, I've been in situations where I will not
- 41:22Speaker 1: look at that person, talk to them whatever. But they
- 41:24Speaker 1: could be at the same party as me, the same
- 41:26Speaker 1: dinner as me, the same whatever. Right, but we can
- 41:29Speaker 1: be in the same place. But I also can't imagine
- 41:32Speaker 1: producers are like nobody's talking to Santoval. Shina, put your
- 41:36Speaker 1: giant sunglasses on and casually walk past that romantic looking
- 41:41Speaker 1: too top and see what he does.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I know that was awkward too. That was so cringey.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I oh my gosh.
- 41:49Speaker 2: And then he's like Sina, and then she turns around,
- 41:54Speaker 2: and then there's like this awkward silence where they just
- 41:56Speaker 2: stare at each other, and then she's like sunglasses on
- 42:00Speaker 2: and like slow motion, it's like, can we and I'm like,
- 42:04Speaker 2: and she's like, not here in public. I don't want
- 42:08Speaker 2: to be seen with you. Basically, I will talk to
- 42:11Speaker 2: you in the alley.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I will talk to you in the alley where we
- 42:14Speaker 1: all used to be hammered and drink SIGs and have
- 42:17Speaker 1: sex with each other, but now we don't because we're
- 42:19Speaker 1: sober curious.
- 42:21Speaker 2: That's right, drink siggs. I drink and have smoke SIGs.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Drink and have SIGs in the SIGs in the alley.
- 42:31Speaker 1: But then when they go to sit down to talk,
- 42:33Speaker 1: I start to think that this is going to be
- 42:35Speaker 1: a good conversation.
- 42:36Speaker 2: No, it's not good. No, it didn't end up that way.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Did not in that way. I was like, I had
- 42:45Speaker 2: like secondhand cringe embarrassment the whole time the conversation was
- 42:49Speaker 2: going on.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I was like, I also want to understand because on
- 42:53Speaker 1: Real Housewives, when it's a dramatic scene, you're not allowed
- 42:57Speaker 1: to keep your sunglasses on, especially at night, Like I
- 43:03Speaker 1: have worn sunglass one.
- 43:04Speaker 2: I don't wear sunglasses at night because I'm not what,
- 43:08Speaker 2: are you a rock star? I'm not. I am not.
- 43:12Speaker 1: You know, I don't have a hit on uber eat
- 43:14Speaker 1: as good as gold, So I cannot. I can't justify
- 43:17Speaker 1: sunglasses at night, especially if I was sober and had
- 43:22Speaker 1: sunglasses on at night, like someone checked my pulse. But
- 43:26Speaker 1: I I'm wondering, like I want to see somebody's eyes,
- 43:32Speaker 1: and I remember that being a thing like that wasn't
- 43:35Speaker 1: that you weren't allowed, but like the action would say, hey,
- 43:38Speaker 1: can you take your sunglasses off? And like on Real
- 43:41Speaker 1: Housewives in Miami, not Gertie, Kiki takes her sunglasses off
- 43:47Speaker 1: and says, I'm taking my sunglasses off so you can
- 43:50Speaker 1: see me like my emotion or having the sunglasses on,
- 43:55Speaker 1: I couldn't see.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Yeah, And it was night right and the alley was dark.
- 44:02Speaker 2: It was nice, it was nighttime.
- 44:03Speaker 1: That's my point.
- 44:04Speaker 2: I we mass sun lasses that night. But I mean,
- 44:08Speaker 2: she looks hot.
- 44:09Speaker 1: But Sandoval says he can't do anything about the past.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Sheena emphasizes that he can be apologetic and remorseful. Sandoval
- 44:17Speaker 1: says he did apologize and he would love to talk
- 44:20Speaker 1: to Ariana because she has been the only one not
- 44:23Speaker 1: coming after him.
- 44:25Speaker 2: I confused, Yeah, well, I guess because she's not publicly
- 44:31Speaker 2: coming after him on our Instagram. I don't know. I mean, clearly, well,
- 44:35Speaker 2: I guess because they have an to mediate their conversations.
- 44:41Speaker 2: So that's why I guess she's not coming after him
- 44:43Speaker 2: because anything she needs to say it goes through. And
- 44:45Speaker 2: so maybe that's just a safe space for him. Well,
- 44:49Speaker 2: but everyone else he has to confront. I don't know.
- 44:52Speaker 2: That didn't make sense now.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I think he's saying that she publicly hasn't gone on
- 44:56Speaker 1: a press tour to talk badly about him.
- 44:58Speaker 2: But she doesn't need to. He has everybody else doing it. Yeah,
- 45:03Speaker 2: I mean, she's too busy making money and being in
- 45:06Speaker 2: every commercial possible. She doesn't have time to bash. She's
- 45:09Speaker 2: on Broadway.
- 45:09Speaker 1: She didn't have time to go on and have the
- 45:13Speaker 1: guy from Shaws of Sunset come on her pod and
- 45:16Speaker 1: talk about Rachel Raquel.
- 45:18Speaker 2: What did you think? So when Sheena reached out to
- 45:21Speaker 2: him by text to say she was sorry about his
- 45:23Speaker 2: friend that had died Ari, Yeah, but it was also
- 45:25Speaker 2: like her podcast was released at the same time. That
- 45:28Speaker 2: was like brought Niema on. That was like talking about
- 45:31Speaker 2: all these sexual things with Raquel. I don't know.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I think what he's most mad about is the open
- 45:39Speaker 1: relationship comment.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Right that someone's saying that he said that, right, that
- 45:44Speaker 2: he said that he and Arianna had an open relationship, right,
- 45:47Speaker 2: and that's what he's mad about.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I think he's mad about that, and that Rachel begged
- 45:52Speaker 1: him to have begged Niema to have sex with him
- 45:55Speaker 1: on Sheena's bed. He thought that was embarrassing for Rachel
- 45:59Speaker 1: and the truth.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Well, I can see how all of that is very
- 46:03Speaker 2: muddy and very embarrassing. So I understand why if all
- 46:07Speaker 2: that stuff came out on a podcast at the same
- 46:09Speaker 2: time she's reaching out and saying, hey, I'm sorry about
- 46:12Speaker 2: your friends, I understand how that can all get muddled.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I mean, to play Devil's advocate. There is a chance
- 46:19Speaker 1: some people pre record their podcast, so like it could
- 46:22Speaker 1: have been a week prior. It could have we personally
- 46:25Speaker 1: could have been because we have to recap a show
- 46:28Speaker 1: we're watching.
- 46:28Speaker 2: But I know a lot of.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Podcasts like film as many as they can and release
- 46:34Speaker 1: them and release them.
- 46:36Speaker 2: So it was bad timing.
- 46:37Speaker 1: It could have been bad timing. I don't actually know
- 46:39Speaker 1: the answer to this. I can't say I don't think
- 46:43Speaker 1: Sheena is necessarily a malicious person. I think she's hurt
- 46:49Speaker 1: by all of it, and I guess I didn't fully
- 46:53Speaker 1: understand how much hurt. She was in about it because
- 46:57Speaker 1: I because I didn't watch the beginning of vander Pumper,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I didn't realize how long of a relationship her and
- 47:02Speaker 1: Sandval had.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they did do a recap of that and then
- 47:07Speaker 2: all yeah, like oh they didn't. They have known each
- 47:11Speaker 2: other fourteen years and shared things. And so do you
- 47:16Speaker 2: think she's hurt because of what he did to Ariana
- 47:18Speaker 2: or because he was just because he just lied and
- 47:24Speaker 2: he was deceitful. So is she hurt by just his
- 47:28Speaker 2: deceitfulness in general?
- 47:29Speaker 1: I think ultimately she's hurt by Rachel because Rachel lied
- 47:34Speaker 1: to her and then there was the restraining order, and
- 47:37Speaker 1: then there was the alleged altercation and all that stuff happened,
- 47:41Speaker 1: and Tom stood by Rachel knowing the truth.
- 47:45Speaker 2: So she felt like he chose Rachel. And I think she.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Felt at that time that her job could have been
- 47:51Speaker 1: compromised because remember they could not film the reunion at
- 47:55Speaker 1: the same stage, right because of the restraining order. Yes,
- 47:59Speaker 1: so like when you like, when somebody's gonna mess with
- 48:01Speaker 1: your bag, like right, Not only did she ride hard
- 48:06Speaker 1: for Rachel and do everything she can to try to
- 48:09Speaker 1: say that Rachel is not at fault. I trust her
- 48:11Speaker 1: sleeping in a bed with Brock like all these things.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Now she's not only you know, like it's just I
- 48:17Speaker 1: think that is ultimately what happened. And then Tom kind
- 48:23Speaker 1: of just throwing Sheena away made her feel sad because
- 48:26Speaker 1: I and I know it's hard to believe, but I
- 48:30Speaker 1: can struggle with people pleasing tendencies as well.
- 48:34Speaker 6: Really, I know, I mean, not with not with you,
- 48:43Speaker 6: that's fine, I'm just kidding, but I think.
- 48:48Speaker 1: That it all overall hurt her. But Tom saying, as
- 48:53Speaker 1: she's walking off and once again they're not getting anywhere,
- 48:57Speaker 1: and she couldn't even nicely say she was like they were.
- 49:00Speaker 1: She was mad that he brought her her favorite drink,
- 49:03Speaker 1: like like how would he know y'all aren't talking?
- 49:05Speaker 2: I know, And she's like, she's said, like three weeks,
- 49:08Speaker 2: it's been three weeks. I've been sober for three weeks.
- 49:10Speaker 2: She said it multiple times. I was like, this guy
- 49:12Speaker 2: could not he could not do anything right. He didn't
- 49:15Speaker 2: even get to chime in that I'm sober too for
- 49:18Speaker 2: Rachel right now. But I mean he takes he tries
- 49:21Speaker 2: to take flowers to vander Palm. That is bad. He's
- 49:25Speaker 2: trying to bring Sena a drink. It's like he just stands.
- 49:29Speaker 1: To just hang his head and say, I am so sorry,
- 49:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything, and just even if
- 49:34Speaker 1: he doesn't believe it, continue on. But as Sheena's walking off,
- 49:39Speaker 1: it's like a dun dum, she said. Sandoval says that
- 49:43Speaker 1: he had to talk Rachel down after the podcast. He
- 49:46Speaker 1: tells Sheena the loss of their friendship has been devastating.
- 49:51Speaker 1: So in closing of this episode, do we think that
- 49:54Speaker 1: Sheena ol' cave and start to befriend Sandoval again?
- 49:58Speaker 2: I think so.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I think.
- 50:02Speaker 2: I hope so yeah. I hope so too.
- 50:05Speaker 1: I think we need we just even like I also
- 50:08Speaker 1: want Katie to get a little real in this moment.
- 50:12Speaker 1: You're on a show with your ex husband. You're both
- 50:14Speaker 1: on the show, you're both paid to be on the show.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Nobody's making you do that. You're gonna have to acknowledge
- 50:22Speaker 1: his presence or just be okay with him being around
- 50:26Speaker 1: and not make him feel stupid for inviting you guys
- 50:28Speaker 1: to cast trips that he clearly has to do for production, right,
- 50:31Speaker 1: and not make fun of his shirt because he ironed it,
- 50:33Speaker 1: and and give him a break.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Give him shorts up break for the likeliness.
- 50:41Speaker 1: All right, you guys, thank you for tuning in for
- 50:43Speaker 1: another episode of Popping Off with Teddy and Emily.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Bye, you guys.
