- 0:14Well, this has been on my mind. Welcome to another edition of
- 0:17the Rancho Radio Podcast. My name is Jim, longtime student
- 0:21and host of this program. Now it's now going into its 7th
- 0:24year as we talk and discuss the 5th epical Revelation meaning
- 0:29the Urantia book and we. Cover a whole.
- 0:32Range of topics if you're relatively new.
- 0:34To this podcast. We focus on the Urantia book
- 0:38because. It is filled with.
- 0:40So many different. Topics that are worthy of of.
- 0:44Examination Analysis. The Urantia book no doubt is
- 0:49probably the definitive source for.
- 0:53Spiritual truth. Regarding God and Christ and the
- 0:58the meanings behind the universe, it sounds.
- 1:02Pretty, pretty prolific, but. By the same time, that's why we
- 1:05spend so much time on the Urantia book and we've talked
- 1:09about everything from the life and teachings of Jesus.
- 1:12To the. History of our planet.
- 1:15To the the. Ancestral beginnings of many of
- 1:18our. Habits and culture.
- 1:22And the way. That we worship.
- 1:23And the. Way that we.
- 1:24Approach Christianity and and all the different faiths through
- 1:28the lens of the Arantia book Revelation.
- 1:31Now, a lot of times we get into conversations with people who
- 1:36come on and they talk. About their projects.
- 1:38And there's some tremendously great projects, no question.
- 1:44And what we're doing is important work because we're
- 1:47laying the foundation for the next generation to pick it up
- 1:52again and carry it forward. Because that's exactly what I
- 1:56believe. The revelators.
- 1:57Had in mind, they knew that they were very much aware, having
- 2:03been an observant of us since the very beginnings of time,
- 2:08they're very much aware. Of what our.
- 2:10Capacity for understanding revelation is they.
- 2:14See for example. How slowly traditions.
- 2:18Evolve over. Time and we're at a point now
- 2:26where I'm sure that they're looking and saying, well, what
- 2:28is the next? Step.
- 2:30What is? The next step?
- 2:33For the Urantia book, where does it?
- 2:35Go from here. We have study.
- 2:39Groups as I've mentioned, 500 or so.
- 2:42Plus. Maybe more, maybe less.
- 2:44It's hard to know. I'm not sure if there's any.
- 2:47Particular group that keeps. Track the foundation can
- 2:50certainly. Track sales.
- 2:53And distribution of the book, which they've done remarkably.
- 2:55Over the years. And and obviously.
- 3:00They're the hub where a lot of people who call about the ranch
- 3:04book I I would. Love to get somebody on from the
- 3:08foundation at some point and talk.
- 3:09About what? Kind of calls.
- 3:12Do they get how? How?
- 3:13The calls have changed. Over the years.
- 3:17And because I think that would. Be a good.
- 3:20Gauge. Of how the?
- 3:22Revelation is doing on its own, standing on its own.
- 3:29You know, we throw out the term 5th ethical revelation as if
- 3:32it's just common nomenclature, but it's not really.
- 3:35Not really. Most people don't even know what
- 3:39an epical revelation is, much much less a revelation in and of
- 3:43itself. What's a revelation?
- 3:47The learning curve on the Arantia book is.
- 3:49Is pretty steep. But it's important and it's
- 3:53relevant and I put pen to paper and in my discussions.
- 3:59With various people. Within the Arantia movement,
- 4:02some of them I've known for a long time, others only having
- 4:06recently met them. And there is real concern with,
- 4:11especially with the war breaking out in Iran and American
- 4:15firepower. And, you know, it's like an
- 4:18anthill that gets kicked and all of the sudden there's
- 4:22pandemonium and uncertainty in the stock market and where are
- 4:25we going? What are we doing?
- 4:26Oh my gosh, things are crazy. Is this why?
- 4:29The revelation was put into our hands because we're.
- 4:33Maybe it's going to help save humanity.
- 4:35These are the thoughts that sometimes run through my mind,
- 4:38and certainly many others, because the natural inclination
- 4:42is. OK, so were they were the
- 4:45revelators? Trying to warn us about what was
- 4:48going on. Did they see that?
- 4:50Maybe if we had more information about.
- 4:52Our history. That we might be better.
- 4:55Be able to better assess. The present and make better
- 4:58decisions. For the future so.
- 5:03What are the next steps for the Urantia movement?
- 5:05What can it do to transform society?
- 5:09And I tell you, the more nervous I.
- 5:11Get about society. The more I.
- 5:14Go to the Urantia. Revelation.
- 5:16To try to. Find a solution or an answer,
- 5:21some nugget that I might be able to put into a blog or put into
- 5:26the. Podcast that would.
- 5:27Maybe have a chain reaction effect?
- 5:29For good. And and and.
- 5:32Do I do that in my circle of influence?
- 5:34Sure. I think we.
- 5:35All do but. I put pen to paper and I thought
- 5:40about the Urantia book and its next steps proximi gratis.
- 5:46What is the next step? And I put together a pro and con
- 5:49summary of different paths that the Arantia.
- 5:52Book could take Should we try to?
- 5:58Present it more to the mainstream.
- 6:01We talked with Byron Blitzos about this very subject.
- 6:05Should we? Be advertising should be we hire
- 6:08consultants. What's the step?
- 6:12What do we do to get this out there so that it's faster but
- 6:16that the question reveals itself?
- 6:20In the Urantia book and I have pinned 4 examples of what.
- 6:27We should do. With a revelation that would be
- 6:32pleasing and smart. To our revelators, because they
- 6:36gave us this book with the. Intent of affecting social
- 6:40change. They say it.
- 6:41Throughout the book. They say that the teachings of
- 6:44Jesus in this. Book will give.
- 6:46People, a renewed interest in the master's life and how
- 6:50transformative. It is but.
- 6:54The four examples. If we ask ourselves.
- 6:57What are the next steps? For the Urantia book, well,
- 6:59what? Are the next.
- 7:00Steps. What do we do the first?
- 7:04Example is from. The book itself.
- 7:09When it talks about the Dalamatian teachings and I want
- 7:12to. Go through the four.
- 7:13Previous epical revelations and how did.
- 7:18They do it. That's how we should do it, how
- 7:21they did it. Then we should.
- 7:23Do it. Now there's no reason to deviate
- 7:29from the original plans, I'm sure there.
- 7:32Are probably outlines. If you think.
- 7:34About it every. Evolutionary World.
- 7:37Will receive revelations. It outlines this in the papers
- 7:41having to do with the different. Epic Ages.
- 7:43Of mankind and generally speaking, all races on all.
- 7:48Worlds go through these. Varying epics.
- 7:53They're demarcation points. Of social, spiritual.
- 7:58Adjustment and evolution now the dalamatian teachings were which.
- 8:03Were the first. Epical revelation that the
- 8:05Urantia. Book refers to takes us back to.
- 8:08About 1/2 a million years ago when Calogasti and the 100 from
- 8:15Jerusalem came here to teach. Us the basic.
- 8:18Fundamentals of of. Agriculture of trade.
- 8:23Of working in the. Fields.
- 8:26Customs. How to get along with one
- 8:29another to the basics. I mean you, you imagine if the
- 8:3350 men and 50 women or what they call the Dalmatian 100, the
- 8:37physical representatives. Of Calagasia the.
- 8:41The original Prince or the first Prince to appear on our planet?
- 8:46And it explains exactly. What happened they?
- 8:50Built a civilization in the Persian Gulf, and some of this
- 8:55is recorded in the Book of Enoch.
- 8:56Some of it. Is is uttered to the pages of
- 8:59Zoroastra, where we get our. Basic elemental teachings of
- 9:03right and wrong. Many of the depictions of the
- 9:08War in Heaven. Survived the.
- 9:11Dalamatian teachings because. The.
- 9:13Dalmatia was in formation at the time that the Lucifer Rebellion
- 9:18came in came underway. So all of.
- 9:22These ancient teachings in the Dilmud and Gilgamesh.
- 9:26These are all echoes of that. Period of time when man was
- 9:31first learning his social skills, he was first being
- 9:34revealed the. Basic The very basic truths of
- 9:39of God, however. Human beings could possibly
- 9:43conceive. At that.
- 9:44Early stage when the six colored.
- 9:46Races had appeared. And this is.
- 9:49Before the. Adam and Eve, epic.
- 9:52That came later. But the the lesson that we
- 9:57learned on the Dalmatian teachings was slow instruction.
- 10:03Never teach people more than they can handle.
- 10:06You're dealing with natives. You can't hit them over the head
- 10:09with all of this advanced knowledge.
- 10:11They they won't know how to process it.
- 10:13They won't know how to. React to it.
- 10:15And they certainly. Will overreact.
- 10:19And I'm sure that the. 1st. Problem that the Dalmatian
- 10:22teachers had was the tendency for humans to worship, and This
- 10:28is why so much of their ancient history might still be in our.
- 10:32Folklore. Folklore.
- 10:33Because the early humans must have looked upon these people as
- 10:37the mighty men of old who would live hundreds of years and, and,
- 10:42and there they would. Take the.
- 10:43Daughters of men. As wives.
- 10:48But the method. Was.
- 10:50According to the. Urantia book a slow.
- 10:52Process of inviting selected members.
- 10:55Of the outside group the the outside tribes.
- 10:59Bring them in. Teach them the most that they
- 11:02could. Accept or learn?
- 11:04And then send them back into the general population.
- 11:09Take the truths. With you.
- 11:11And and teach them to. Your brethren, that.
- 11:13Was the method of teaching for hundreds.
- 11:15Of thousands of years as the. Dalamatian citizens tried to
- 11:20uplift mankind. So that was the first epical.
- 11:24Revelation second ever. Epical Revelation.
- 11:28Again, we see a similar pattern of slow revelation.
- 11:31You had to earn the privilege of garden citizenship.
- 11:34Through a display. Of maturity, of not being
- 11:37dangerous, Adam and Eve did. Did not teach sudden truth to
- 11:41the natives of their times. They adopted and raised.
- 11:44Children with the. Truths of the Kingdom and man's
- 11:47eternal destiny. And then what did they do?
- 11:49They sent them back into the communities.
- 11:52Where there was a slow but steady absorption of religious
- 11:55culture that could take place. In those papers depicting this
- 12:00period, it. Shows us clearly.
- 12:02The the method is no different from the previous method, the
- 12:07initial plans of the first garden.
- 12:08Obviously were disrupted. And it it we have been living in
- 12:12the shadow of that event ever since, having been deprived of a
- 12:15material son and daughter who would have lived long enough.
- 12:18To have a. Lasting effect on society but
- 12:23the method. By way they.
- 12:24Taught the. Tribes of that their area, their
- 12:28era. And this.
- 12:29Gets us into. The the Mesopotamian period.
- 12:32The cradle of of civilization. Period.
- 12:35Long before the Agadians and the Sumerians.
- 12:38We're talking 35,000 years. Much of what Adam and Eve?
- 12:44Taught did survive the ideas of. A mother and a father raising
- 12:50children, but they didn't teach sudden truth.
- 12:55They adopted. As I mentioned and and sent
- 12:58these young. People who had lived.
- 13:01Among the citizens of the garden, send them back now this,
- 13:07of course, contradicts the biblical narrative because based
- 13:10on the writings of Genesis, Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel were
- 13:14the. 1st 1st 4. People on the earth, so how?
- 13:16Could they go back and well, of course, the Bible.
- 13:19Also says that Cain was banished from a garden and went to the
- 13:23land of Nod, east to the land of Nod where he found himself.
- 13:26A wife? Well.
- 13:27Hardly that would have been. Possible if there.
- 13:29Had only been the four progenitors of the the human
- 13:32race. So obviously there were more.
- 13:36And clearly, genetically, we can prove that while we did come
- 13:42from an original mitochondria, the the human genome has been
- 13:46around for a long, long time. So then we move on to the third.
- 13:52Epical revelation. The third epical revelation.
- 13:55And what was that? How many of you know of?
- 13:58The Sage of. Salem Melchizedek of Salem, he
- 14:03was the one. That set up a.
- 14:06School, a Salem school, and he brought in again people from the
- 14:13community. Who adopted the approach of A?
- 14:17Of a one God over many God, or many gods.
- 14:21A much event to Melchizedek. Taught these truths.
- 14:24To not just Abraham, although Abraham he was his mentor
- 14:29Melchizedek. Was the.
- 14:31Mentor to Abraham and he was a natural born leader.
- 14:36And Abraham, of course, went on to father not one, not 2.
- 14:39But three? Great.
- 14:40Religions. This influence came from the
- 14:43teachings of Melchizedek. To.
- 14:45Abraham and others. Who also spread the truths as as
- 14:50best they could. He.
- 14:52Sent them out. To the to the world so.
- 14:57In the first epical Revelation, Slow teaching, Bring them in,
- 15:03teach them, send them back. Adam and Eve, same thing.
- 15:06Raise them, teach them, send them on their.
- 15:08Way Melchizedek. Bring in the the students, train
- 15:13them, teach them, send them on their way.
- 15:14You see a pattern? All right, so.
- 15:17Let's go to the 4th epical. Revelation and we all.
- 15:20Know that's Jesus. What did Jesus do?
- 15:24Jesus. Adopted the message of teaching
- 15:26teachers and let these teachers go back to their communities to
- 15:29share the good news. So it would.
- 15:32Appear, at least to me, that the method of introducing a new
- 15:36revelation of advanced truth. To the people.
- 15:38Of our world has never won and which it's been rushed, it does
- 15:42no good to suddenly thrust upon the world a brand new and
- 15:46culturally exciting idea, and it might even be made with, you
- 15:51know, some temporary reception. But it will be.
- 15:56Fading as quickly. Because.
- 15:58That's what happens when you over.
- 16:00Teach. People initially get.
- 16:03Shocked they. They don't know what to do.
- 16:05With it, they try to adapt. To it and then eventually it
- 16:08falls to its own. What?
- 16:10Do they call it the reciprocal? Balance of time.
- 16:15So The thing is in this case is no matter what the outside.
- 16:19World is doing. We need not be anxious, we know
- 16:24that the book. Is is out there in the 1st 50
- 16:26years of its publication, to be fair.
- 16:29The fact that it's gone as far as it's gone without drawing UN
- 16:35unwanted attention upon itself is great.
- 16:39We've seen a lot what happens to a lot of great religions.
- 16:41They come, and sometimes they're too.
- 16:44Good to be. True.
- 16:45Certainly this is not the. Case that the.
- 16:47Intention of this revelation is long term.
- 16:53I do these podcasts because. I like talking about the Urantia
- 16:56book. I find it not only extremely
- 17:00profound and and helpful to understanding God's.
- 17:04Will but it also. Gives me a place of.
- 17:06Refuge where I. Can know that everything's going
- 17:09to be OK. But I don't.
- 17:12Go around proselytizing and and I know a lot of people read the.
- 17:15Ranch book probably. Don't either, but what we need
- 17:18not be anxious, I think is the the point because that's when
- 17:21people make mistakes, Jordan Peterson said.
- 17:25We'll all meet 1000 people throughout our life, and each of
- 17:28those people will influence 1000 people in their life.
- 17:31So if you do the math, that puts each one of us away from
- 17:34influencing 1,000,000. Others but.
- 17:38In the same fashion. What I see?
- 17:40Are the great strengths of the Urantia movement are the the
- 17:43appearance? Of the study groups, these are
- 17:46little. Beacons of light.
- 17:48That are. That are coming out of the the
- 17:50the ground, so to speak, organic, natural people share
- 17:57the news with their friends and family people that are maybe.
- 18:00Perhaps spiritually. Like minded and hey, would you
- 18:04like to come over and read the book with me or we could do it
- 18:07on a Sunday afternoon and I can answer any questions you.
- 18:09Have that. To me is the organic principle.
- 18:13Of revelatory growth. That sounds like it's it's
- 18:17moving at a pace of its own. I don't know a natural will.
- 18:27Yeah, we have better tools today to spread the.
- 18:30Good news than during the previous epical revelation.
- 18:34So we're. Already ahead of the.
- 18:35Game, I know that there are people that are putting out
- 18:39there's someone on X. That takes excerpts.
- 18:42From the the Urantia book. Not even a link, just just.
- 18:46A. Here's a Here's a little quote
- 18:48for you to. Think about that.
- 18:50That to me is is organic. It's one person who says, why
- 18:54don't we just pepper the landscape with the.
- 18:57Thoughts of the Urantia book? Instead of coming out saying
- 19:00we've got the new 5th epical revelation and we can't tell you
- 19:03and and there's nothing wrong with that.
- 19:05What CFU is? Doing in creating the the Jesus
- 19:08experience is is an organic thing that one person, several
- 19:13people. Got together and.
- 19:14Said we can do this and then people can come in and they can
- 19:19take what they've learned and they can take it.
- 19:20Out to where they live. And that to me is the ordained
- 19:25way, the divine way. And it's only when we try to
- 19:29make it a religion and we and we think we're going to save.
- 19:33The world that's. That's when it gets, you know,
- 19:36a. Little.
- 19:38Dicey and unpredictable, we could do more harm than.
- 19:40Good, in fact. I think that's kind of what
- 19:43happened with Martin Gardner and his.
- 19:45Horrible book because it has set the stage.
- 19:48And has stunted the normal, otherwise normal reception of
- 19:52the Urantia book for 20 years. And he never even read the damn
- 19:54book. He just went and talked to
- 19:57people that didn't like it. Or people that felt like it.
- 20:01Threatened Christianity. And let me tell you something
- 20:04Christianity is not going to. Accept the Urantia.
- 20:06Book in our age. Not at least publicly, they
- 20:08can't. They would have.
- 20:11To commit suicide to their own Christian faith.
- 20:14And I think that would be an upsetting thing for the world.
- 20:18I think people are comfortable. I was driving home from visiting
- 20:23friends over the weekend. It's about Sunday morning and I
- 20:26drove. By this sizable Catholic Church.
- 20:31And there were just it was the end of the service and everybody
- 20:34was coming out. There were all kinds of people
- 20:36dressed in their Sunday wares and.
- 20:40You know, Catholic Church. Hundreds of people coming out.
- 20:44I was actually mildly. Shocked.
- 20:47That that many people still go. To church.
- 20:50But they do, because it's a sense of refuge.
- 20:52It's a sense. Of perhaps?
- 20:54Traditional refuge, safety, inspiring, making you feel that
- 21:01it's not just about humanity, it's also about divinity.
- 21:06The world does need. That that.
- 21:10Environment I I'm convinced of that and there is room for the
- 21:14Urantia book, but it's not in the way that not in the way yet.
- 21:19Of what we'd like, perhaps. But right now, to me it's.
- 21:24A seed. That has been planted and only
- 21:26now are the roots starting to pop up and it's going to tape.
- 21:30Who knows? 1000 years, 500 years.
- 21:35I mean think about the time difference between Melchizedek
- 21:38and Christ was 52,000 years and he estimated he needed that much
- 21:43time because he didn't know when Michael was going to be
- 21:46bestowing on our planet. But I have a feeling he probably
- 21:50had a few connections and could estimate when this event could.
- 21:55Occur or how? Long it would take, maybe.
- 21:59Christ waited until. The influence of Melchizedek.
- 22:02Could be absorbed so if the Urantia book is.
- 22:07An emergency. Book.
- 22:08Let's just say it. Let's posit it as a.
- 22:12Is a an emergency situation? Let's assume for a moment and.
- 22:16These are pretty. Grand assumptions, but let's
- 22:19assume from for a moment. That our seraphic.
- 22:22Overseers anticipated based on the experience of other.
- 22:27Worlds that we were about. To head into dangerous
- 22:29territory. We were literally a decade away
- 22:33from. Developing the atom bomb which
- 22:36the. Revelators would have been aware
- 22:38of the book. Was written in 3435, or at least
- 22:42transcribed into the English language, according to the
- 22:45revelators. And we knew the Manhattan
- 22:47Project was underway. We also knew World War 2.
- 22:50Was about to get underway. So it wouldn't have taken a
- 22:53rocket. Scientist.
- 22:54No pun intended to determine that humanity was heading
- 22:58towards contentious times, and it has not changed since.
- 23:02It has been contentious since. The first world.
- 23:05War. The Second World War Our methods
- 23:08of destruction have increased. The ways that we kill each.
- 23:11Other have become more advanced. Now we're into the drone.
- 23:15Stage of warfare. Where we don't even need to
- 23:17expend human life. And it would seem logical to me
- 23:21that the. Revelators would have.
- 23:24Some experiential knowledge. They would see ahead.
- 23:28Farther than we would and they would understand that religion
- 23:32is losing its influence and it's time to invest and a new.
- 23:37Software upgrade, so the Urantia.
- 23:39Book in a way. Is a software.
- 23:41Upgrade but not. Everybody upgrades.
- 23:42Their computers at the same time, do they?
- 23:45Some of us are still using Windows 10 for God.
- 23:48'S sakes. So they would have anticipated
- 23:54that at some point people would start asking questions, but it's
- 23:57not there. We're not there yet.
- 24:00We're not there. Yet, but this book provides, I
- 24:06think it provides hope. And it unifies faith with
- 24:11science and philosophy in a way that no other.
- 24:13Book has provides us. Information and clarity about
- 24:17our. Past and it reveals to us our
- 24:20potential future if we. Can all get along.
- 24:23As brothers of the same spiritual.
- 24:25Family, but we need not be in a. Hurry, Jesus.
- 24:31Never ran from town to town. The apostles did not run to
- 24:36India. Or Europe or.
- 24:38Northern Africa, they took their time, they went the natural way,
- 24:42so. Let's let's.
- 24:43Focus on that. Let's let's really say a prayer.
- 24:48And and ask for patience. Patience is the most important
- 24:52element of spreading a new. Revelation, because that.
- 24:55Prevents you from getting frustrated and from suffering
- 24:58from despair. Ban and Amidon had to endure
- 25:03150,000 years of waiting. That's a long time and they were
- 25:10patient. All right, so that's it.

- 25:38April is coming. I want to mention before I
- 25:41forget, May 17th is the day of. Prayer, which is odd because the
- 25:46president. Is calling all.
- 25:48Religious faiths to. Washington.
- 25:50We'll see if that. Still happens, but it's
- 25:52interesting because may. 18th was the day that Christ had his.
- 25:58Final word. With his apostles.
- 26:00And his. Followers before he.
- 26:01Ascended on to heaven May 18th. So I just thought it was a
- 26:05little. Bit of a clinky.
- 26:06Dink there that those two dates would be so close.
- 26:10So, a day of prayer. Indeed.
- 26:11Now the world needs prayers, no question.
- 26:14So we'll see you again. Here on the Rancho Radio.
