- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. Luna: Hey Lucas! Ready for more Telugu. Lucas: So last time we were at the park describing trees, remember? Luna: Oh yes! We learned చెట్టు ఎత్తుగా ఉంది, చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది... Lucas: Exactly. Today let's expand a bit and use some different adjectives. Instead of ఎత్తుగా, we can say పొడుగ్గా, which also means tall. Luna: పొడుగ్గా. So చెట్టు పొడుగ్గా ఉంది means the tree is tall. Lucas: Perfect. Let's say it together: చెట్టు పొడుగ్గా ఉంది. Luna: చెట్టు పొడుగ్గా ఉంది. Lucas: Great. Now, what if the tree is short? We say పొట్టిగా. Luna: పొట్టిగా. So చెట్టు పొట్టిగా ఉంది means the tree is short. Lucas: Yes. చెట్టు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Try it. Luna: చెట్టు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Lucas: Nice. Now for big, we can say పెద్దగా. Remember we used పెద్దది before, but పెద్దగా works here too. Luna: Oh, so చెట్టు పెద్దగా ఉంది means the tree is big. Lucas: Exactly. And for small, చిన్నగా. చెట్టు చిన్నగా ఉంది. Luna: చెట్టు చిన్నగా ఉంది. So we have tall, short, big, small, and green. Lucas: Yes. Let's practice a mini dialogue. Imagine we're at the park looking at two trees. I say: ఈ చెట్టు పొడుగ్గా ఉంది. Luna: And I say: ఆ చెట్టు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Lucas: Awesome. Now let's add green. ఈ చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది. ఆ చెట్టు పచ్చగా లేదు. Luna: Oh, లేదు for not. So that tree is not green. Lucas: Right. Now let's do a quick review. How do you say the tree is tall? Luna: చెట్టు పొడుగ్గా ఉంది. Lucas: And the tree is short? Luna: చెట్టు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Lucas: Big? Luna: చెట్టు పెద్దగా ఉంది. Lucas: Small? Luna: చెట్టు చిన్నగా ఉంది. Lucas: Green? Luna: చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది. Lucas: You're doing great. Now, you know, practicing these phrases really helps. If Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Telugu, we just wanted to mention that listener support is what keeps these episodes going. Luna: Yeah, a couple of dollars a month genuinely makes a difference. You can go to buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo if you've gotten something out of the show. Lucas: Totally. No pressure, but it really helps us keep making these. Okay, back to our trees. Luna: So can we put it all together? Like, at the park, I see a big green tree. Lucas: You can say: చెట్టు పెద్దగా ఉంది మరియు పచ్చగా ఉంది. That means the tree is big and green. Luna: చెట్టు పెద్దగా ఉంది మరియు పచ్చగా ఉంది. That's a bit of a mouthful. Lucas: But you said it well. Let's try one more: చెట్టు చిన్నగా ఉంది మరియు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Luna: The tree is small and short. చెట్టు చిన్నగా ఉంది మరియు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Lucas: Perfect. Now you can describe any tree you see. Let's do a final practice. I'll say a phrase in English, you say it in Telugu. Luna: Okay, hit me. Lucas: The tree is tall. Luna: చెట్టు పొడుగ్గా ఉంది. Lucas: The tree is short. Luna: చెట్టు పొట్టిగా ఉంది. Lucas: The tree is green. Luna: చెట్టు పచ్చగా ఉంది. Lucas: The tree is big. Luna: చెట్టు పెద్దగా ఉంది. Lucas: The tree is small. Luna: చెట్టు చిన్నగా ఉంది. Lucas: Excellent. You really nailed it today. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. I'm feeling more confident with these adjectives. Lucas: That's what we like to hear.
