Cat Found Injured In Illegal Snare Trap | Aberdeen News
A cat in Aberdeenshire’s Ythanwells area suffered horrific injuries from a banned snare trap — a grim reminder that these deadly devices, outlawed in Scotland since 2024, are still being used. Police are urgently seeking witnesses after the incident on July 10th, warning that such traps cause unnecessary suffering to wildlife and pets alike. Constable Robson stressed this isn’t just illegal — it’s cruel. Authorities urge anyone with info to contact Police Scotland or Crimestoppers anonymously to help stop this dangerous practice.
