• 1:19
  Which
• 1:19
  leads
• 1:19
  us
• 1:19
  to
• 1:19
  today's
• 1:20
  question.
• 1:20
  I
• 1:21
  got
• 1:21
  this
• 1:21
  one
• 1:21
  in.
• 1:21
  I
• 1:21
  said
• 1:21
  we
• 1:21
  got
• 1:22
  to
• 1:22
  talk
• 1:22
  about
• 1:22
  this
• 1:22
  on
• 1:22
  today's
• 1:23
  show.
• 1:23
  Ralph.
• 1:24
  I
• 1:24
  always
• 1:24
  tell
• 1:25
  myself
• 1:25
  I'll
• 1:25
  just
• 1:25
  use
• 1:26
  my
• 1:26

• 1:26
  card
• 1:26
  for
• 1:27
  convenience
• 1:27
  during
• 1:27

• 1:28
  But
• 1:28
  somehow
• 1:29
  I
• 1:29
  end
• 1:30
  up
• 1:30
  paying
• 1:30
  for
• 1:30
  Christmas
• 1:31
  until
• 1:31
  spring.
• 1:32
  What,
• 1:32
  what
• 1:32
  am
• 1:33
  I
• 1:33
  doing
• 1:33
  wrong?
• 1:33
  Ralph?
• 1:35
  Here's
• 1:35
  the
• 1:35
  truth.
• 1:35
  Credit
• 1:36
  cards
• 1:36
  promise
• 1:37
  convenience.
• 1:37
  That's
• 1:37
  what
• 1:38
  they
• 1:38
  do.
• 1:38
  But
• 1:39
  the
• 1:39
  problem
• 1:39
  is
• 1:39
  oftentimes
• 1:40
  they
• 1:40
  deliver
• 1:41
  chains.
• 1:41
  Let's
• 1:42
  talk
• 1:42
  about
• 1:42
  the

  truth
• 1:42
  behind

  those

  you

• 1:56
  the

  cycle
• 1:56
  of
• 1:57
  financial
• 1:57
  shame
• 1:57
  with
• 1:58
  confidence.
• 2:01
  Welcome
• 2:01
  to
• 2:01
  the
• 2:02
  show.
• 2:02
  I'm
• 2:02
  Ralph.
• 2:03
  I'm
• 2:03
  a
• 2:03
  business
• 2:03
  coach
• 2:04
  and
• 2:04
  my
• 2:04
  goal
• 2:04
  every
• 2:05
  day
• 2:05
  is
• 2:05
  to
• 2:05
  help
• 2:05
  you
• 2:06
  break
• 2:06
  that
• 2:06
  cycle
• 2:07
  of
• 2:07
  financial
• 2:07
  shame
• 2:08
  and
• 2:08
  do
• 2:08
  it
• 2:08
  with
• 2:09
  confidence.
• 2:09
  And
• 2:09
  unfortunately
• 2:10
  in
• 2:10
  my
• 2:11
  accounting
• 2:11
  practice,
• 2:12
  working
• 2:12
  with
• 2:12
  individuals
• 2:13
  and
• 2:13
  small
• 2:13
  business
• 2:13
  people,
• 2:14
  I've
• 2:15
  seen
• 2:15
  how
• 2:15
  credit
• 2:15
  traps
• 2:16
  us
• 2:16
  into,
• 2:17
  into
• 2:17
  what
• 2:17
  we
• 2:18
  think
• 2:18
  is
• 2:18
  a
• 2:18
  reward,
• 2:19
  but
• 2:19
  it
• 2:19
  just
• 2:19
  traps
• 2:20
  us.
• 2:20
  And
• 2:20
  I've
• 2:20
  been
• 2:20
  there
• 2:20
  too.
• 2:21
  I
• 2:21
  think
• 2:22
  about
• 2:22
  how
• 2:22
  many
• 2:22
  credit
• 2:23
  card
• 2:23
  offers
• 2:23
  and
• 2:24
  buy
• 2:24
  now
• 2:24
  and
• 2:25
  pay
• 2:25
  later
• 2:25
  things.
• 2:26
  I'm
• 2:26
  going
• 2:26
  to
• 2:27
  earn
• 2:27
  those
• 2:27
  points.
• 2:27
  I'm
• 2:28
  going
• 2:28
  to
• 2:28
  make
• 2:28
  a
• 2:28
  this
• 2:29
  is
• 2:29
  going
• 2:29
  to
• 2:29
  be
• 2:29
  such
• 2:29
  a
• 2:29
  good
• 2:29
  deal.
• 2:30
  I
• 2:30
  can
• 2:30
  buy
• 2:30
  this
• 2:30
  now.
• 2:30
  I
• 2:30
  don't
• 2:31
  have
• 2:31
  to
• 2:31
  pay
• 2:31
  for
• 2:31
  it
• 2:31
  for
• 2:31
  later.
• 2:32
  And
• 2:33
  the
• 2:33
  promise
• 2:33
  for
• 2:33
  so
• 2:34
  many
• 2:34
  of
• 2:34
  us
• 2:34
  and
• 2:34
  me
• 2:34
  included,
• 2:35
  I've
• 2:35
  got
• 2:35
  the
• 2:36
  laser
• 2:36
  focused
• 2:36
  on
• 2:37
  me
• 2:37
  today.
• 2:37
  It
• 2:38
  actually
• 2:38
  brings
• 2:38
  buying
• 2:39
  pressure
• 2:39
  and
• 2:39
  regret.
• 2:40
  So
• 2:41
  I'm
• 2:41
  going
• 2:41
  to
• 2:41
  tell
• 2:41
  you
• 2:41
  right
• 2:41
  now,
• 2:41
  here's
• 2:42
  my
• 2:42
  warning.
• 2:42
  I
• 2:42
  don't
• 2:42
  usually
• 2:43
  give
• 2:43
  you
• 2:43
  a
• 2:43
  warning
• 2:43
  at
• 2:43
  the
• 2:43
  beginning,
• 2:44
  but
• 2:44
  watch
• 2:44
  those
• 2:44
  rewards
• 2:45
  deals.
• 2:45
  Let
• 2:45
  me
• 2:46
  tell
• 2:46
  you
• 2:46
  about
• 2:46
  this
• 2:46
  client.
• 2:46
  I
• 2:47
  had
• 2:47
  this
• 2:47
  client,
• 2:47
  she
• 2:48
  was
• 2:48
  super
• 2:49
  excited
• 2:50
  about
• 2:50
  this
• 2:50
  cash
• 2:51
  back
• 2:51
  for
• 2:51
  using
• 2:51
  her
• 2:51
  credit
• 2:51
  card.
• 2:52
  She
• 2:52
  said,
• 2:52
  Ralph,
• 2:52
  I'm
• 2:53
  going
• 2:53
  to
• 2:53
  take
• 2:53
  this
• 2:53
  credit
• 2:53
  card,
• 2:54
  man.
• 2:54
  I'm
• 2:54
  going
• 2:54
  to
• 2:54
  use
• 2:55
  it
• 2:55
  for
• 2:55
  everything
• 2:55
  this
• 2:56
  holiday.
• 2:56
  And
• 2:56
  she
• 2:57
  came
• 2:57
  in
• 2:57
  to
• 2:57
  see
• 2:57
  me
• 2:57
  to
• 2:57
  get
• 2:58
  her
• 2:58
  text.
• 2:58
  And
• 2:58
  she
• 2:58
  said,
• 2:58
  ralph,
• 2:59
  you're
• 2:59
  never
• 2:59
  going
• 2:59
  to
• 2:59
  believe
• 2:59
  this.
• 3:00
  And
• 3:00
  she
• 3:01
  was
• 3:01
  asking
• 3:01
  me
• 3:01
  about
• 3:01
  this
• 3:01
  because
• 3:01
  she
• 3:02
  wanted
• 3:02
  to
• 3:02
  know
• 3:02
  if
• 3:02
  this
• 3:02
  was
• 3:02
  taxable,
• 3:03
  but
• 3:03
  she
• 3:03
  had
• 3:04
  made
• 3:04
  $400
• 3:05
  in
• 3:05
  cash
• 3:06
  back
• 3:06
  just
• 3:06
  from
• 3:07
  our
• 3:07
  holiday
• 3:07
  spending.
• 3:08
  And
• 3:09
  I
• 3:09
  said,
• 3:09
  that's
• 3:09
  fantastic.
• 3:10
  That
• 3:10
  is
• 3:10
  great.
• 3:12
  And
• 3:12
  then
• 3:12
  I
• 3:12
  said,
• 3:12
  okay,
• 3:13
  well,
• 3:13
  how
• 3:13
  did
• 3:13
  that
• 3:13
  play
• 3:13
  out?
• 3:13
  She
• 3:14
  goes,
• 3:14
  well,
• 3:14
  the
• 3:14
  problem
• 3:14
  is
• 3:15
  this.
• 3:16
  I
• 3:16
  spent
• 3:17
  a
• 3:17
  lot
• 3:17
  of
• 3:17
  money
• 3:17
  during
• 3:17
  the
• 3:18
  holidays,
• 3:18
  Ralph,
• 3:19
  and
• 3:19
  I
• 3:20
  really
• 3:20
  wasn't
• 3:20
  able
• 3:20
  to
• 3:21
  pay
• 3:21
  it
• 3:21
  off.
• 3:21
  And
• 3:21
  I
• 3:21
  said,
• 3:21
  well,
• 3:22
  there's
• 3:22
  a
• 3:22
  problem
• 3:22
  there,
• 3:22
  isn't
• 3:22
  it?
• 3:23
  And
• 3:23
  I
• 3:23
  said,
• 3:24
  do
• 3:24
  you
• 3:24
  have
• 3:24
  your
• 3:24
  credit
• 3:24
  card
• 3:25
  statement?
• 3:25
  She
• 3:25
  pulled
• 3:25
  it
• 3:25
  up
• 3:25
  on
• 3:26
  her
• 3:26
  phone.
• 3:26
  I
• 3:26
  said,
• 3:26
  let's
• 3:27
  go
• 3:27
  look
• 3:27
  at
• 3:27
  this
• 3:27
  statement
• 3:27
  because
• 3:27
  it's
• 3:28
  cool.
• 3:28
  You
• 3:28
  made
• 3:28
  $400
• 3:29
  back.
• 3:29
  I
• 3:29
  wanted
• 3:29
  to
• 3:29
  find
• 3:29
  out
• 3:29
  what
• 3:29
  credit
• 3:30
  card
• 3:30
  she
• 3:30
  had,
• 3:30
  how
• 3:31
  she
• 3:31
  was
• 3:31
  able
• 3:31
  to
• 3:31
  do
• 3:32
  this.
• 3:32
  Well,
• 3:32
  first
• 3:33
  of
• 3:33
  all,
• 3:33
  I
• 3:33
  looked
• 3:33
  at
• 3:33
  how
• 3:33
  much
• 3:33
  she
• 3:34
  spent.
• 3:34
  I
• 3:34
  was
• 3:34
  like,
• 3:34
  wow,
• 3:34
  you
• 3:34
  certainly
• 3:35
  have
• 3:35
  a
• 3:35
  big
• 3:35
  holiday
• 3:36
  budget.
• 3:36
  She
• 3:37
  goes,
• 3:37
  well,
• 3:37
  you
• 3:37
  know,
• 3:37
  I
• 3:38
  got
• 3:38
  an
• 3:38
  increase
• 3:38
  on
• 3:38
  my
• 3:39
  credit
• 3:39
  card.
• 3:39
  They
• 3:40
  gave
• 3:40
  me
• 3:40
  more
• 3:40
  money
• 3:40
  to
• 3:41
  spend.
• 3:41
  It's
• 3:41
  like.
• 3:41
  So
• 3:41
  I
• 3:41
  just
• 3:42
  charged
• 3:42
  it
• 3:42
  up
• 3:43
  And
• 3:43
  I
• 3:43
  made
• 3:43
  $400,
• 3:44
  Ralph.
• 3:44
  I
• 3:44
  said,
• 3:45
  yeah,
• 3:45
  but
• 3:45
  here's
• 3:45
  the
• 3:45
  problem.
• 3:46
  You
• 3:47
  paid
• 3:47
  $1,000
• 3:48
  in
• 3:48
  interest
• 3:49
  just
• 3:49
  through
• 3:49
  March,
• 3:51
  and
• 3:51
  you're
• 3:51
  still
• 3:51
  not
• 3:51
  able
• 3:52
  to
• 3:52
  pay
• 3:52
  that
• 3:52
  credit
• 3:53
  off
• 3:53
  yet.
• 3:54
  There's
• 3:54
  a
• 3:54
  problem
• 3:55
  here.
• 3:56
  Which
• 3:56
  leads
• 3:56
  me
• 3:56
  to
• 3:57
  a
• 3:57
  quote
• 3:57
  from
• 3:57
  Dave
• 3:58
  Ramsey.
• 3:58
  I
• 3:58
  don't
• 3:58
  always
• 3:59
  agree
• 3:59
  with
• 3:59
  David,
• 3:59
  man.
• 4:00
  He
• 4:00
  is
• 4:00
  right
• 4:00
  here
• 4:00
  on
• 4:00
  this
• 4:01
  one,
• 4:01
  100%.
• 4:02
  Now,
• 4:02
  I
• 4:02
  do
• 4:02
  not
• 4:02
  take
• 4:03
  the
• 4:03
  same
• 4:03
  strong
• 4:04
  stance
• 4:04
  that
• 4:04
  he
• 4:04
  takes
• 4:05
  that
• 4:05
  never
• 4:05
  use
• 4:05
  credit
• 4:06
  cards.
• 4:06
  But
• 4:06
  this
• 4:06
  is
• 4:06
  what
• 4:06
  he
• 4:06
  said.
• 4:06
  He
• 4:06
  says,
• 4:07
  credit
• 4:07
  cards
• 4:07
  are
• 4:08
  like
• 4:08
  snakes.
• 4:09
  Play
• 4:09
  with
• 4:09
  them
• 4:10
  long
• 4:10
  enough
• 4:10
  and
• 4:10
  you'll
• 4:11
  get
• 4:11
  bit.
• 4:11
  So
• 4:12
  let
• 4:12
  me
• 4:12
  ask
• 4:12
  you
• 4:12
  right
• 4:12
  now,
• 4:13
  as
• 4:13
  you're
• 4:13
  listening
• 4:13
  or
• 4:13
  watching
• 4:14
  to
• 4:14
  this,
• 4:14
  have
• 4:15
  you
• 4:15
  gotten
• 4:15
  bit?
• 4:17
  It's
• 4:17
  not
• 4:17
  fun
• 4:17
  when
• 4:17
  you
• 4:17
  get
• 4:18
  bit.
• 4:18
  Which
• 4:19
  leads
• 4:19
  me
• 4:19
  to
• 4:19
  this.
• 4:19
  I
• 4:20
  have
• 4:20
  a
• 4:20
  special
• 4:20
  call
• 4:20
  to
• 4:21
  action
• 4:21
  right
• 4:21
  now.
• 4:22
  If
• 4:22
  you've
• 4:22
  got
• 4:22
  a
• 4:23
  story
• 4:23
  to
• 4:23
  tell,
• 4:23
  something
• 4:24
  about
• 4:25
  credit
• 4:25
  or
• 4:25
  something
• 4:26
  about
• 4:26
  finance,
• 4:27
  Christian
• 4:27
  finance,
• 4:28
  I
• 4:28
  would
• 4:28
  love
• 4:28
  to
• 4:28
  hear
• 4:29
  your
• 4:29
  story.
• 4:29
  I
• 4:30
  would
• 4:30
  love
• 4:30
  to
• 4:30
  hear
• 4:30
  your
• 4:31
  journey.
• 4:31
  I'd
• 4:31
  like
• 4:31
  to
• 4:31
  hear
• 4:32
  how
• 4:32
  we've
• 4:32
  gone
• 4:33
  from
• 4:33
  financial
• 4:34
  regret
• 4:34
  to
• 4:34
  financial
• 4:35
  confidence.
• 4:35
  Maybe
• 4:35
  your
• 4:36
  story
• 4:36
  could
• 4:36
  inspire
• 4:37
  others
• 4:37
  and
• 4:38
  make
• 4:38
  a
• 4:38
  difference.
• 4:38
  If
• 4:38
  you've
• 4:38
  got
• 4:39
  a
• 4:39
  story
• 4:39
  you'd
• 4:39
  like
• 4:39
  to
• 4:39
  share,
• 4:40
  here's
• 4:40
  what
• 4:40
  I
• 4:40
  want
• 4:40
  you
• 4:41
  to

  do.

  Well,

  let's
• 4:54
  get
• 4:54
  Back
• 4:54
  to
• 4:54
  our
• 4:54

• 4:55
  today.
• 4:55
  Let's
• 4:55
  restate
• 4:56
  the
• 4:56
  question
• 4:57
  because
• 4:57
  this
• 4:57
  is
• 4:57
  a
• 4:58
  great
• 4:58
  question
• 4:58
  from
• 4:58
  a
• 4:58
  listener.
• 4:59
  How
• 4:59
  do
• 4:59
  I
• 4:59
  avoid
• 5:00
  credit
• 5:00
  card
• 5:00
  rewards?
• 5:01
  Trap.
• 5:01
  And
• 5:01
  it's
• 5:01
  really
• 5:01
  a
• 5:02
  trap,
• 5:02
  isn't
• 5:02
  it?
• 5:03
  So
• 5:03
  first
• 5:03
  thing
• 5:03
  I
• 5:03
  want
• 5:03
  you
• 5:04
  to
• 5:04
  remember,
• 5:04
  rewards
• 5:05
  aren't
• 5:05
  free.
• 5:06
  See,
• 5:07
  here's
• 5:07
  the
• 5:07
  thing
• 5:07
  you
• 5:07
  got
• 5:07
  to
• 5:07
  understand.
• 5:08
  Credit
• 5:08
  card
• 5:08
  companies
• 5:09
  make
• 5:09
  money
• 5:10
  based
• 5:10
  on
• 5:10
  interest.
• 5:11
  They're
• 5:12
  not
• 5:12
  making
• 5:12
  money
• 5:12
  on
• 5:13
  the
• 5:13
  points
• 5:13
  they
• 5:13
  give
• 5:13
  you.
• 5:14
  They
• 5:15
  count
• 5:15
  on
• 5:15
  you
• 5:15
  messing
• 5:16
  up.
• 5:16
  They
• 5:16
  count
• 5:16
  on
• 5:16
  you
• 5:17
  slipping
• 5:17
  those
• 5:17
  buy
• 5:17
  now,
• 5:18
  pay
• 5:18
  later
• 5:18
  things.
• 5:19
  They're
• 5:20
  wonderfully
• 5:21
  profitable
• 5:21
  for
• 5:22
  the
• 5:22
  banks
• 5:22
  to
• 5:22
  do
• 5:23
  those
• 5:23
  because
• 5:23
  they
• 5:23
  know
• 5:24
  most
• 5:24
  people
• 5:24
  won't
• 5:24
  pay
• 5:24
  it
• 5:25
  off.
• 5:25
  Now
• 5:25
  listen,
• 5:25
  if
• 5:25
  you're
• 5:25
  one
• 5:26
  of
• 5:26
  those
• 5:26
  people
• 5:26
  that
• 5:27
  can
• 5:27
  pay
• 5:27
  it
• 5:27
  off,
• 5:27
  like
• 5:27
  my
• 5:27
  wife
• 5:28
  and
• 5:28
  I,
• 5:28
  we
• 5:28
  bought
• 5:28
  a
• 5:28
  new
• 5:28
  bed
• 5:29
  and
• 5:29
  they
• 5:29
  had
• 5:29
  this
• 5:30
  seamless
• 5:30
  cash
• 5:30
  offer
• 5:31
  for
• 5:31
  three
• 5:31
  years,
• 5:32
  I'm
• 5:32
  going
• 5:32
  to
• 5:32
  pay
• 5:32
  it
• 5:33
  off.
• 5:33
  But
• 5:34
  if
• 5:34
  you
• 5:34
  don't
• 5:34
  have
• 5:34
  the
• 5:34
  regimen
• 5:35
  to
• 5:35
  do
• 5:35
  that,
• 5:35
  and
• 5:35
  I'm
• 5:35
  not
• 5:36
  calling
• 5:36
  you,
• 5:36
  I'm
• 5:36
  not
• 5:37
  judging
• 5:37
  you,
• 5:38
  but
• 5:38
  the
• 5:38
  banks
• 5:39
  encourage
• 5:39
  you
• 5:39
  to
• 5:40
  not
• 5:40
  pay
• 5:40
  it
• 5:40
  off
• 5:40
  in
• 5:41
  time.
• 5:41
  So,
• 5:41
  number
• 5:41
  one,
• 5:42
  remember,
• 5:43
  nothing
• 5:43
  is
• 5:43
  free
• 5:43
  in
• 5:43
  life.
• 5:44
  Rewards
• 5:44
  aren't
• 5:44
  free
• 5:45
  either.
• 5:46
  Number
• 5:46
  two
• 5:46
  thing,
• 5:47
  debt
• 5:48
  steals
• 5:48
  your
• 5:48
  peace.
• 5:49
  So
• 5:49
  you'll
• 5:50
  never
• 5:50
  be
• 5:50
  able
• 5:50
  to
• 5:51
  celebrate
• 5:51
  freely
• 5:52
  when
• 5:52
  you
• 5:52
  owe
• 5:53
  for
• 5:53
  it
• 5:53
  later.
• 5:54
  Because
• 5:54
  so
• 5:54
  many
• 5:55
  people,
• 5:55
  and
• 5:55
  if
• 5:55
  I'm
• 5:55
  being
• 5:55
  honest,
• 5:56
  I
• 5:56
  was
• 5:56
  stuck
• 5:56
  in
• 5:56
  that
• 5:57
  cycle
• 5:57
  of
• 5:57
  debt
• 5:58
  for
• 5:58
  so
• 5:58
  long.
• 5:59
  And
• 5:59
  it
• 5:59
  just
• 6:00
  lasts,
• 6:00
  and
• 6:00
  it
• 6:00
  lasts
• 6:01
  and
• 6:01
  it
• 6:01
  lasts.
• 6:01
  We
• 6:02
  talked
• 6:02
  about
• 6:02
  that
• 6:02
  statistic
• 6:02
  at
• 6:03
  the
• 6:03
  beginning.
• 6:04
  People
• 6:04
  are
• 6:04
  going
• 6:05
  into
• 6:05
  this
• 6:05
  holiday
• 6:05
  season
• 6:06
  still
• 6:06
  paying
• 6:06
  off.
• 6:07
  This
• 6:07
  is
• 6:07
  a
• 6:07
  sad
• 6:08
  thing
• 6:08
  to
• 6:08
  say,
• 6:08
  several
• 6:09
  years
• 6:09
  worth
• 6:09
  of
• 6:09
  holiday
• 6:10
  debt.
• 6:12
  So
• 6:12
  remember
• 6:12
  that
• 6:12
  debt
• 6:13
  steals
• 6:13
  your
• 6:13
  piece.
• 6:13
  Another
• 6:13
  thing
• 6:14
  I
• 6:14
  want
• 6:14
  to
• 6:14
  encourage
• 6:14
  you
• 6:14
  to
• 6:14
  do,
• 6:15
  it's
• 6:15
  all
• 6:15
  about
• 6:15
  awareness,
• 6:16
  really.
• 6:16
  Right?
• 6:17
  So
• 6:17
  track
• 6:17
  your
• 6:17
  spending
• 6:18
  this
• 6:18
  holiday
• 6:18
  season.
• 6:19
  We've
• 6:19
  talked
• 6:19
  about
• 6:19
  this
• 6:19
  a
• 6:19
  little
• 6:20
  bit
• 6:20
  on
• 6:20
  the
• 6:20
  show
• 6:20
  already.
• 6:21
  Use
• 6:21
  an
• 6:21
  app,
• 6:21
  use
• 6:22
  a
• 6:22
  notebook.
• 6:23
  Every
• 6:23
  time
• 6:23
  you
• 6:23
  swipe
• 6:24
  that
• 6:24
  credit
• 6:24
  card,
• 6:25
  think
• 6:25
  about
• 6:25
  it
• 6:25
  like
• 6:25
  this.
• 6:26
  So
• 6:26
  one
• 6:27
  of
• 6:27
  the
• 6:27
  things
• 6:27
  that
• 6:27
  my
• 6:27
  oldest
• 6:28
  son
• 6:28
  does,
• 6:29
  every
• 6:29
  time
• 6:29
  he
• 6:29
  swipes
• 6:30
  that
• 6:30
  credit
• 6:30
  card,
• 6:30
  in
• 6:31
  his
• 6:31
  mind,
• 6:31
  he
• 6:31
  thinks,
• 6:32
  I
• 6:32
  got
• 6:32
  to
• 6:32
  take
• 6:32
  that
• 6:32
  money
• 6:32
  out
• 6:33
  of
• 6:33
  my
• 6:33
  checking
• 6:33
  account.
• 6:34
  He's
• 6:34
  using
• 6:35
  the
• 6:35
  card
• 6:35
  for
• 6:35
  the
• 6:35
  rewards,
• 6:36
  which
• 6:36
  is
• 6:36
  fantastic.
• 6:37
  He
• 6:37
  does
• 6:37
  a
• 6:37
  great
• 6:37
  job
• 6:37
  with
• 6:38
  that.
• 6:38
  He's
• 6:38
  using
• 6:39
  it
• 6:39
  for
• 6:39
  the
• 6:39
  convenience,
• 6:40
  but
• 6:41
  once
• 6:41
  a
• 6:41
  week
• 6:41
  he
• 6:42
  pays
• 6:42
  that
• 6:42
  credit
• 6:43
  card
• 6:43
  back.
• 6:44
  Maybe
• 6:45
  that
• 6:45
  doesn't
• 6:45
  work
• 6:45
  for
• 6:45
  you.
• 6:45
  Maybe
• 6:46
  you
• 6:46
  don't
• 6:46
  have
• 6:46
  the
• 6:46
  regimen
• 6:47
  to
• 6:47
  do
• 6:47
  that.
• 6:47
  I'm
• 6:48
  no
• 6:48
  judgment
• 6:48
  here,
• 6:49
  but
• 6:49
  if
• 6:50
  you
• 6:50
  can
• 6:50
  do
• 6:50
  it,
• 6:50
  then
• 6:50
  consider
• 6:51
  that
• 6:51
  withdrawal.
• 6:52
  If
• 6:52
  it
• 6:52
  doesn't
• 6:52
  work
• 6:53
  for
• 6:53
  you,
• 6:53
  then
• 6:53
  think
• 6:53
  about
• 6:53
  an
• 6:53
  envelope
• 6:54
  system.
• 6:55
  Here's
• 6:55
  how
• 6:55
  much
• 6:55
  I'm
• 6:56
  going
• 6:56
  to
• 6:56
  spend
• 6:56
  during
• 6:56
  the
• 6:56
  holidays.
• 6:57
  Put
• 6:57
  it
• 6:57
  in
• 6:57
  an
• 6:57
  envelope.
• 6:58
  And
• 6:58
  once
• 6:58
  it's
• 6:58
  gone,
• 6:58
  it's
• 6:58
  gone.
• 6:58
  Or.
• 6:59
  And
• 6:59
  I'm
• 6:59
  not
• 6:59
  a
• 6:59
  big
• 6:59
  fan
• 7:00
  of
• 7:00
  debit
• 7:00
  cards,
• 7:01
  but
• 7:01
  if
• 7:01
  you're
• 7:01
  struggling
• 7:02
  with
• 7:02
  debt,
• 7:02
  this
• 7:03
  is
• 7:03
  a
• 7:03
  great
• 7:03
  time
• 7:03
  to
• 7:03
  use
• 7:04
  a
• 7:04
  debit
• 7:04
  card.
• 7:04
  Which
• 7:04
  leads
• 7:05
  me
• 7:05
  to
• 7:05
  the
• 7:05
  next
• 7:05
  thing.
• 7:06
  Debit
• 7:06
  cards
• 7:06
  and
• 7:07
  cash
• 7:07
  really
• 7:07
  helped
• 7:07
  us
• 7:08
  because
• 7:08
  I
• 7:08
  truly
• 7:08
  believe
• 7:09
  psychologically,
• 7:10
  when
• 7:11
  you
• 7:11
  see
• 7:11
  that
• 7:11
  money
• 7:11
  leave
• 7:12
  your
• 7:12
  hand,
• 7:12
  man,
• 7:12
  I
• 7:13
  remember
• 7:13
  as
• 7:13
  a
• 7:13
  kid,
• 7:13
  like,
• 7:13
  I
• 7:14
  get
• 7:14
  a
• 7:14
  couple
• 7:14
  bucks
• 7:15
  for
• 7:15
  Christmas,
• 7:15
  you
• 7:16
  know,
• 7:16
  this
• 7:16
  woman,
• 7:16
  gimme
• 7:17
  this
• 7:17
  and
• 7:17
  I'll
• 7:17
  tell
• 7:17
  you.
• 7:17
  It
• 7:18
  was
• 7:18
  easy
• 7:18
  to
• 7:18
  spend
• 7:18
  mom
• 7:19
  and
• 7:19
  dad's
• 7:19
  money,
• 7:20
  but
• 7:20
  man,
• 7:20
  when
• 7:20
  I
• 7:20
  was
• 7:21
  taking
• 7:21
  that
• 7:21
  money
• 7:21
  out
• 7:21
  of
• 7:21
  my
• 7:22
  own
• 7:22
  pocket
• 7:22
  and
• 7:22
  passing
• 7:23
  that
• 7:23
  $10
• 7:23
  bill
• 7:23
  or
• 7:24
  that,
• 7:24
  I
• 7:24
  was
• 7:24
  like
• 7:24
  kidding
• 7:24
  me.
• 7:24
  Five
• 7:25
  dollar
• 7:25
  bill
• 7:25
  across
• 7:25
  me,
• 7:26
  I
• 7:26
  was
• 7:26
  like,
• 7:26
  wait
• 7:26
  a
• 7:26
  minute,
• 7:26
  it
• 7:27
  makes
• 7:27
  you
• 7:27
  think
• 7:27
  twice.
• 7:28
  Well,
• 7:28
  as
• 7:28
  an
• 7:29
  adult,
• 7:29
  you
• 7:29
  think
• 7:29
  the
• 7:29
  same
• 7:30
  way.
• 7:30
  Another
• 7:31
  encouragement
• 7:31
  I
• 7:31
  want
• 7:32
  to
• 7:32
  give
• 7:32
  you,
• 7:32
  pay
• 7:33
  it
• 7:33
  off.
• 7:33
  If
• 7:34
  you
• 7:34
  already
• 7:34
  have
• 7:34
  a
• 7:35
  balance,
• 7:35
  that's
• 7:36
  okay.
• 7:36
  Create
• 7:37
  a
• 7:37
  60
• 7:37
  day
• 7:38
  payoff
• 7:38
  plan.
• 7:38
  Don't
• 7:39
  let
• 7:39
  that
• 7:39
  interest
• 7:40
  continue
• 7:40
  to
• 7:40
  linger.
• 7:41
  That
• 7:41
  cycle
• 7:42
  is
• 7:42
  just
• 7:42
  going
• 7:42
  to
• 7:43
  bury
• 7:43
  you
• 7:43
  deeper
• 7:44
  and
• 7:44
  deeper.
• 7:45
  So
• 7:45
  if
• 7:45
  you've
• 7:45
  got
• 7:45
  a
• 7:45
  balance,
• 7:46
  let's
• 7:47
  talk
• 7:47
  about
• 7:47
  how
• 7:47
  to
• 7:47
  pay
• 7:47
  it
• 7:48
  off.
• 7:48
  I've
• 7:48
  got
• 7:48
  a
• 7:48
  ton
• 7:48
  of
• 7:48
  shows
• 7:49
  on
• 7:49
  the
• 7:49
  website
• 7:49
  to
• 7:49
  talk
• 7:50
  about
• 7:50
  how
• 7:50
  to
• 7:50
  break
• 7:51
  that
• 7:51
  cycle
• 7:51
  of
• 7:51
  financial
• 7:52
  shame,
• 7:52
  especially
• 7:52
  credit
• 7:53
  card
• 7:53
  shame.
• 7:53
  Because
• 7:54
  as
• 7:54
  Dave
• 7:54
  said,
• 7:55
  they're
• 7:55
  like
• 7:56
  snakes.
• 7:57
  And
• 7:57
  when
• 7:57
  you
• 7:57
  get
• 7:57
  bit,
• 7:58
  they
• 7:58
  leave
• 7:58
  that
• 7:59
  venom.
• 7:59
  And
• 7:59
  that
• 7:59
  venom
• 7:59
  hurts
• 8:00
  for
• 8:00
  a
• 8:00
  long
• 8:00
  time.
• 8:00
  Which
• 8:01
  leads
• 8:01
  me
• 8:01
  to
• 8:01
  today's
• 8:01
  Bible
• 8:02
  verse.
• 8:02
  And
• 8:02
  this
• 8:02
  is
• 8:02
  kind
• 8:02
  of
• 8:02
  a
• 8:03
  harsh
• 8:03
  one,
• 8:03
  but
• 8:03
  I
• 8:04
  got
• 8:04
  to
• 8:04
  share
• 8:04
  it
• 8:04
  with
• 8:04
  you
• 8:04
  out
• 8:05
  of
• 8:05
  love.
• 8:05
  Proverbs
• 8:06
  22:7.
• 8:07
  The
• 8:07
  rich
• 8:07
  rule
• 8:08
  over
• 8:08
  the
• 8:08
  poor
• 8:08
  and
• 8:09
  the
• 8:09
  borrower
• 8:09
  is
• 8:10
  slave
• 8:10
  to
• 8:10
  the
• 8:10
  lender.
• 8:10
  If
• 8:11
  you've
• 8:11
  listened
• 8:11
  to
• 8:11
  my
• 8:11
  show
• 8:11
  for
• 8:11
  any
• 8:12
  length
• 8:12
  of
• 8:12
  time,
• 8:12
  you
• 8:12
  know
• 8:12
  Ralph
• 8:13
  loves
• 8:13
  this
• 8:13
  Bible
• 8:14
  verse.
• 8:14
  I
• 8:15
  don't
• 8:15
  love
• 8:15
  this
• 8:15
  Bible
• 8:16
  verse,
• 8:16
  but
• 8:16
  it
• 8:17
  speaks
• 8:17
  truth.
• 8:18
  And
• 8:18
  this
• 8:18
  is
• 8:19
  so
• 8:19
  true.
• 8:19
  If
• 8:20
  you
• 8:20
  are
• 8:20
  continuously
• 8:21
  in
• 8:21
  debt,
• 8:21
  you
• 8:22
  are
• 8:22
  a
• 8:22
  slave
• 8:23
  to
• 8:23
  those
• 8:23
  lenders.
• 8:24
  And
• 8:24
  that's
• 8:25
  how
• 8:25
  lenders
• 8:25
  make
• 8:26
  money.
• 8:26
  They're
• 8:27
  doing
• 8:27
  a
• 8:27
  service.
• 8:27
  I
• 8:27
  get
• 8:28
  it.
• 8:28
  I'm
• 8:28
  a
• 8:28
  capitalist.
• 8:29
  I
• 8:29
  believe
• 8:29
  in
• 8:29
  the
• 8:29
  free
• 8:29
  market.
• 8:30
  But
• 8:31
  understand
• 8:32
  that's
• 8:32
  their
• 8:32
  goal.
• 8:33
  When
• 8:33
  you
• 8:34
  see
• 8:34
  those
• 8:34
  promo
• 8:34
  offers,
• 8:35
  we
• 8:35
  offer
• 8:36
  this
• 8:36
  much
• 8:36
  in
• 8:36
  credit
• 8:36
  card
• 8:37
  rewards.
• 8:37
  Just
• 8:37
  understand,
• 8:38
  if
• 8:38
  you
• 8:38
  play
• 8:39
  their
• 8:39
  game,
• 8:40
  you
• 8:40
  might
• 8:40
  get
• 8:40
  bit.
• 8:41
  You
• 8:41
  got
• 8:41
  to
• 8:42
  have
• 8:42
  the
• 8:42
  regiment
• 8:42
  not
• 8:42
  to
• 8:43
  do
• 8:43
  that.
• 8:43
  Well,
• 8:43
  how
• 8:43
  about
• 8:43
  we
• 8:43
  pray
• 8:44
  right
• 8:44
  now,
• 8:44
  Lord,
• 8:45
  right
• 8:45
  now.
• 8:45
  We
• 8:46
  don't
• 8:46
  want
• 8:46
  to
• 8:46
  get
• 8:46
  bit
• 8:46
  by
• 8:47
  that
• 8:47
  snake
• 8:47
  of
• 8:47
  credit
• 8:48
  card
• 8:48
  debt.
• 8:49
  So
• 8:49
  we
• 8:49
  ask
• 8:49
  you
• 8:49
  to
• 8:49
  give
• 8:50
  us
• 8:50
  discipline
• 8:50
  right
• 8:50
  now.
• 8:51
  Give
• 8:51
  us
• 8:51
  wisdom
• 8:52
  to
• 8:52
  use
• 8:52
  credit.
• 8:52
  And
• 8:52
  Lord,
• 8:53
  if
• 8:53
  we're
• 8:53
  one
• 8:53
  of
• 8:53
  those
• 8:54
  folks
• 8:54
  that
• 8:54
  can't
• 8:54
  do
• 8:54
  it,
• 8:55
  give
• 8:55
  us
• 8:55
  the
• 8:55
  understanding
• 8:56
  of
• 8:56
  how
• 8:56
  to
• 8:56
  do
• 8:56
  it
• 8:57
  better
• 8:57
  because
• 8:57
  we
• 8:58
  want
• 8:58
  to
• 8:58
  desire
• 8:58
  freedom
• 8:59
  more
• 8:59
  than
• 8:59
  those
• 8:59
  rewards,
• 9:00
  Lord.
• 9:00
  And
• 9:01
  teach
• 9:01
  us,
• 9:01
  Lord,
• 9:01
  to
• 9:01
  live
• 9:02
  within
• 9:02
  our
• 9:02
  means.
• 9:03
  You
• 9:03
  provided
• 9:04
  for
• 9:04
  us.
• 9:04
  You
• 9:04
  didn't
• 9:04
  say
• 9:04
  you're
• 9:05
  going
• 9:05
  to
• 9:05
  give
• 9:05
  us
• 9:05
  comfort,
• 9:05
  Lord,
• 9:06
  but
• 9:06
  you
• 9:06
  said
• 9:06
  you'd
• 9:07
  give
• 9:07
  us
• 9:07
  provision.
• 9:07
  So
• 9:08
  help
• 9:08
  us
• 9:08
  to
• 9:08
  embrace
• 9:08
  that.
• 9:09
  Help
• 9:09
  us
• 9:09
  to
• 9:09
  find
• 9:10
  contentment
• 9:10
  in
• 9:10
  that
• 9:11
  and
• 9:11
  help
• 9:11
  us
• 9:11
  to
• 9:12
  really
• 9:12
  have
• 9:12
  that
• 9:12
  freedom
• 9:13
  and
• 9:13
  discipline
• 9:14
  and
• 9:14
  wisdom
• 9:14
  when
• 9:15
  we
• 9:15
  look
• 9:15
  at
• 9:15
  the
• 9:16
  joy
• 9:16
  of
• 9:16
  the
• 9:16
  holidays
• 9:17
  and
• 9:17
  not
• 9:17
  going
• 9:17
  broken.
• 9:18
  And
• 9:18
  we
• 9:18
  ask
• 9:18
  this
• 9:19
  with
• 9:19
  confidence
• 9:19
  in
• 9:20
  the
• 9:20
  name
• 9:20
  of
• 9:20
  Jesus,
• 9:21
  Amen.
• 9:21
  All
• 9:22
  right,
• 9:22
  so
• 9:22
  here's
• 9:22
  your
• 9:22
  one
• 9:23
  action
• 9:23
  item
• 9:24
  for
• 9:24
  today.
• 9:24
  I
• 9:24
  want
• 9:24
  you
• 9:25
  to
• 9:25
  just
• 9:25
  think
• 9:25
  about
• 9:25
  one
• 9:26
  holiday
• 9:26
  purchase.
• 9:26
  I'm
• 9:27
  not
• 9:27
  asking
• 9:27
  you
• 9:27
  to
• 9:27
  do
• 9:27
  much,
• 9:28
  just
• 9:28
  one
• 9:28
  holiday
• 9:29
  purchase
• 9:30
  and
• 9:30
  switch
• 9:30
  that
• 9:31
  from
• 9:31
  credit
• 9:31
  to
• 9:31
  debit
• 9:32
  or
• 9:32
  maybe
• 9:32
  even
• 9:32
  cash
• 9:33
  this
• 9:33
  week
• 9:34
  and
• 9:34
  feel
• 9:34
  that
• 9:35
  freedom
• 9:35
  that
• 9:35
  comes
• 9:36
  with
• 9:36
  control
• 9:36
  of
• 9:36
  doing
• 9:37
  that.
• 9:37
  And
• 9:38
  again,
• 9:38
  if
• 9:38
  you've
• 9:38
  got
• 9:38
  a
• 9:38
  story
• 9:39
  for
• 9:39
  the
• 9:39
  show,
• 9:39
  I
• 9:39
  would
• 9:39
  love
• 9:40
  to
• 9:40
  hear
• 9:40
  it.
• 9:40
  Your
• 9:40
  story
• 9:41
  might
• 9:41
  very
• 9:41
  well
• 9:41
  be
• 9:41
  featured
• 9:42
  on
• 9:42
  the
• 9:42
  show
• 9:42
  again.
• 9:42
  You
• 9:43
  can
• 9:43
  get
• 9:43
  to
• 9:43
  us
• 9:43
  by
• 9:44
  going
• 9:44
  to
• 9:44
  financially
• 9:45
  confidentchristian.com/contact.
• 9:47
  I
• 9:47
  would
• 9:47
  love
• 9:48
  to
• 9:48
  hear.
• 9:48
  It's
• 9:48
  what
• 9:48
  grows
• 9:49
  the
• 9:49
  show
• 9:49
  and
• 9:49
  and
• 9:50
  I
• 9:50
  love
• 9:50
  hearing
• 9:50
  from
• 9:50
  my
• 9:51
  listeners.
• 9:51
  So
• 9:51
  thank
