- 0:08Speaker 1: Sable advice. Shot was welcomed to Laught even night show.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'm your host, Ram Shooter. It's Thursday, which means I
- 0:19Speaker 1: do a friend. Mark Lupo, Lupi joins us. Hey, Luby
- 0:22Speaker 1: you Lubbi Loui is here, Luby lou Lubi lou I
- 0:27Speaker 1: hear you were out of painting the town read this
- 0:29Speaker 1: week on a very tall building. It was some very
- 0:33Speaker 1: boozy celebrities. What were you up to? Oh yes, Rob,
- 0:35Speaker 1: I was at the Summit one Vanderbilt opening part on
- 0:39Speaker 1: Monday night. I know it was all over the news.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Some very boozy celebrities, you said, which is very true.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It was asap, Rocky White, Cleff. There was karadel Avin
- 0:49Speaker 1: very drunk, very drunk. Doctor. Yes, yes, yes, it was
- 0:55Speaker 1: a lot of fun. Dr Uzard had a little bit
- 0:57Speaker 1: too much to drink, hit a little and much to drink,
- 1:00Speaker 1: which is fine. I mean he is the doctor, doctor,
- 1:03Speaker 1: He's the doctor. That's so much. What's the new building like?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Is it magnificent? It's magnificent. It's multiple floors, nineties stories
- 1:11Speaker 1: above the city. And I'll tell you this. Me and
- 1:13Speaker 1: my friends spotted del Moss amongst the crowd and we decided,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and we decided one of us was going to bag
- 1:22Speaker 1: him that night. And when we went to approach him
- 1:24Speaker 1: just to say hello, he was so busy taking selfies
- 1:27Speaker 1: and dancing to the music in his own head that
- 1:30Speaker 1: he completely ignored us. So he wasn't taking selfies with
- 1:34Speaker 1: other people? Was he just by himself taking his own picture,
- 1:37Speaker 1: just his own picture and his own videos. Oh, it's
- 1:39Speaker 1: so sad. It's amazing how quick that bachelor bachelorette fame vanishes.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You're a superstar for a minute, and then you're taking
- 1:48Speaker 1: your own selfie at a party in New York City.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I was so mad. I was invited to that party
- 1:52Speaker 1: to our friend Geryld invited me. But it was the
- 1:56Speaker 1: day after the Oscars, and so as a little busy,
- 2:00Speaker 1: little busy Will Smith's which we've got a ton of
- 2:05Speaker 1: new information about today, So let's jump into the show.
- 2:07Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is? So the
- 2:11Speaker 1: Academy Awards and NAR revealing that they asked Will Smith
- 2:14Speaker 1: to leave the ceremony after he slapped Chris Rock. Will refused. Wow,
- 2:22Speaker 1: So there's all this debate for days. Should Will have
- 2:25Speaker 1: been kicked out? Should have been asked to leave? And
- 2:27Speaker 1: we all debated it. Now the Academy is saying that
- 2:30Speaker 1: they're doing an internal investigation. They're going to decide what
- 2:34Speaker 1: action needs to be taken against Will Smith, but they
- 2:37Speaker 1: want to make it very very clear that they asked
- 2:40Speaker 1: him to leave and he said no, I'm told backstage
- 2:44Speaker 1: there was a huge screaming match between the Academy people
- 2:49Speaker 1: and Will's people, and then Will was like, I ain't leaving.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I'm not leaving. I know. So then the only option
- 2:55Speaker 1: is dragged him out of the ceremony. Do you call security?
- 2:59Speaker 1: What you do? The Academy is actually saying we made
- 3:02Speaker 1: mistakes and we would handle the situation differently moving forward,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but this is a bomb shell. He was asked to
- 3:10Speaker 1: leave and he said no, what do you think? Rob?
- 3:14Speaker 1: This is a really challenging situation because everything was unfolding
- 3:17Speaker 1: in real time and we only have as a producer
- 3:20Speaker 1: a few minutes to make a major car and as
- 3:23Speaker 1: we know Rob this he won the Best Actor. We're
- 3:26Speaker 1: just minutes after he slapped Chris Rock. So I can
- 3:29Speaker 1: only imagine if they did try to pull him out
- 3:32Speaker 1: and he made a scene, what would that look like.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It's it's it's it's the whole thing is messy. But
- 3:39Speaker 1: life is messy too, And I think in our own
- 3:41Speaker 1: lives when something awful happens, we often just back away
- 3:45Speaker 1: because we don't want to inflame a situation. I think
- 3:47Speaker 1: that's a good idea. But by not doing anything, do
- 3:50Speaker 1: we actually, in the long term, long run, bake it worse?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Like now it looks like there was no no, no consequences. However,
- 3:58Speaker 1: we do know there is going to be concert Crencis
- 4:00Speaker 1: because now the Academy is getting serious. They're embarrassed by this,
- 4:03Speaker 1: they're mortified by this. They're very angry with Will Smith.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So now they are meeting to figure out what they're
- 4:09Speaker 1: gonna do next. Could they kick him out of the Oscars?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Could they kick him out of that organization? Could they
- 4:15Speaker 1: ask for their award back? Could they ban him from
- 4:18Speaker 1: being eligible in future years? What are they going to do?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Sources are telling me that this is so interesting and
- 4:26Speaker 1: it's exclusive. Here on our show, Will is being told
- 4:29Speaker 1: he's considering handing back his Oscar. If he gives up
- 4:34Speaker 1: the Oscar, he takes all this embarrassment out of the
- 4:38Speaker 1: Academy's hands, out of their laps. He's already embarrassed them already,
- 4:42Speaker 1: he's embarrassed himself, and then at the moment they're feeling
- 4:45Speaker 1: like we didn't do anythinking that were the bad guys.
- 4:48Speaker 1: If Will Withdrew, if Will said he share Oscar back,
- 4:51Speaker 1: I don't deserve it, that might be a really clever move.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It's an odd comparison Mark, but it's like Dolly pulled
- 4:58Speaker 1: her name out of the Rock and Roll Hall thing.
- 5:00Speaker 1: She actually can't. The ballot has gone out, So Dolly
- 5:04Speaker 1: might help herself with that award. If Will said his
- 5:08Speaker 1: your Oscar back, you know what, they can't really accept it.
- 5:12Speaker 1: He won it. The only people that can take an
- 5:14Speaker 1: Oscar off you is the academy, and I'm not sure
- 5:16Speaker 1: where they're going to do that. So Will could physically
- 5:19Speaker 1: give the statue back and say I don't deserve it,
- 5:22Speaker 1: but he will always be the guy that won't it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: What do you think should he give it back? Yeah?
- 5:27Speaker 1: I was thinking a lot about this, and I think
- 5:29Speaker 1: that Rob. You know, the trophy, used the trophy, and
- 5:32Speaker 1: when you look at this trophy and when you think
- 5:34Speaker 1: about this moment, it's always going to be the lingal
- 5:36Speaker 1: because that one of the worst days of your life
- 5:38Speaker 1: and so I think it's a lose lose either way
- 5:40Speaker 1: for him. Um, and so I don't really care what
- 5:42Speaker 1: he does. I think he knows, he knows what he's done. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 1: because if he keeps it, there's always going to be
- 5:47Speaker 1: a little asterix next to it. We know, when you
- 5:49Speaker 1: say Will Smith Oscar, no one's going to say, well,
- 5:51Speaker 1: the great movie. We're gonna say, oh my god, that's
- 5:54Speaker 1: the night he slapped Chris Rock. We're always going to
- 5:56Speaker 1: remember it as a night of violence. Talking to Chris Rock,
- 5:59Speaker 1: so ast night he did stand up in Boston, we
- 6:02Speaker 1: had somebody in the audience, and I know exactly what happened,
- 6:05Speaker 1: he said, he's still trying to process it. So Chris
- 6:07Speaker 1: Rock is the type of comedian that doesn't really just
- 6:10Speaker 1: go on stage and talk. Everything is carefully planned out.
- 6:13Speaker 1: So he's been working on this new act for a
- 6:15Speaker 1: very long time. He walked out and he got sort
- 6:17Speaker 1: of missed the eyed. He looked like he sort of emotional.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sources in the room tell me he basked in this
- 6:24Speaker 1: rousing applause two minutes standard ovation, which is a really
- 6:27Speaker 1: long time, so a standard ovation for two minutes, and
- 6:29Speaker 1: he looked up and said, how is your weekend. The
- 6:33Speaker 1: crowd shier cheered, and he said, listen, I don't have
- 6:37Speaker 1: a bunch of s h I t about what happened.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So he sort of addressed the elephant in the room
- 6:44Speaker 1: and then he said, I'm kind of still processing it
- 6:46Speaker 1: and at some point I will talk about it. And
- 6:48Speaker 1: then an audience member yelled out, sue him, Chris, sue him.
- 6:53Speaker 1: He didn't respond. He said, listen, I've got some jokes
- 6:56Speaker 1: to tell. I planned this evening out. At some point
- 6:59Speaker 1: I will talk about that, but at the moment, I'm
- 7:02Speaker 1: just going to do my set. And he did it,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and I hear he was fantastic. This might be a
- 7:07Speaker 1: very smart thing to do. What do you think? Yeah?
- 7:09Speaker 1: I think he needs to wait to beat, breathe collector's
- 7:13Speaker 1: thoughts and then go on to one of the big
- 7:15Speaker 1: networks and tell his story because I want to hear
- 7:17Speaker 1: him sit down. I want to hear a sit down interview,
- 7:20Speaker 1: word by word, account by account, what happened that night.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Every producer, and you know, every one of them, Mark
- 7:26Speaker 1: are they calling Will's people and Chris rox people are
- 7:29Speaker 1: begging to get that first. Everyone's begging this injury, this
- 7:34Speaker 1: would be a huge get. This is the get. Do
- 7:37Speaker 1: you think this is an opera? Sise get? Could there
- 7:39Speaker 1: be a special on this? Yeah? Well this is one
- 7:42Speaker 1: of the biggest gets I think in recent time then
- 7:45Speaker 1: I can think of truly. It's it's a it's a
- 7:47Speaker 1: global story. It's a global story. It is this is
- 7:51Speaker 1: like a Harry and Megan get. That's that's the size
- 7:54Speaker 1: of this. And I think if they did a prime
- 7:56Speaker 1: time interview they could get Harry and mega numbers. It
- 7:58Speaker 1: could be tens of millions of people. And if they
- 8:01Speaker 1: did it together, like the bachelors on the same set
- 8:06Speaker 1: of you, then one at a time and then bring
- 8:08Speaker 1: them out together. That's producing the problem? Is there? That
- 8:12Speaker 1: is not going to happen. Hey, it brings us to
- 8:14Speaker 1: our pole question of the day. So the Academy has
- 8:17Speaker 1: promised to take appropriate action over this incident. Should will
- 8:21Speaker 1: be kicked out of the organization? Should he be kicked out?
- 8:24Speaker 1: Remember he ignored them the night of the oscars. They
- 8:27Speaker 1: asked him to leave and he said no. So maybe
- 8:29Speaker 1: if they kick him out, he just won't leave either. Well,
- 8:33Speaker 1: doesn't want to go. What do you do, though, Mark,
- 8:35Speaker 1: if somebody asks you to leave and you don't. Then
- 8:39Speaker 1: what happens? Do you call the police? Like? What do
- 8:41Speaker 1: we do? And it just goes to show how arrogant
- 8:44Speaker 1: he was in that moment and how the power he
- 8:46Speaker 1: thought he had. I'm not leaving. You can't get me
- 8:49Speaker 1: at I'm gonna walk on stage and act however I want.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'm so disappointed, right, I'm so disappointed in him. It's
- 8:54Speaker 1: a side of world that's surprising to me. I'm a
- 8:56Speaker 1: good reporter after this a long time. I've heard a
- 8:58Speaker 1: few stories, but every but he has a bad day.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I didn't know the level of arrogance. I just didn't
- 9:06Speaker 1: know this about Well. We know it about other celebrities.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We've we've seen it, We've heard it. I thought Well
- 9:11Speaker 1: was sort of like a nice guy at his moments,
- 9:14Speaker 1: But now I'm like, Wow, did he fool us all
- 9:16Speaker 1: those years? Hey? Go votes on today's pole. Go to
- 9:18Speaker 1: a Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob. At facebook page
- 9:21Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip. You can leave a comment there and
- 9:23Speaker 1: sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. LOUPI
- 9:27Speaker 1: love what are you working on the Yeah? I had
- 9:29Speaker 1: some sad news for you. Rob. Bruce Willis is stepping
- 9:32Speaker 1: away from his acting career. Let me explain what's going
- 9:35Speaker 1: on here. So, Bruce has being diagnosed with a fasia.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's a condition where a person loses their ability to communicate. Now,
- 9:43Speaker 1: as a result, Bruce is stepping away from acting and
- 9:46Speaker 1: definitely his family revealed. The news comes more than a
- 9:49Speaker 1: week after he celebrated his sixty seventh birthday. Now Willis's
- 9:53Speaker 1: wife Emma, his daughters, and his ex wife Demi Moore,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'll broke the news to fans in a joint statement
- 9:59Speaker 1: on social media, and Robbie had the statement here. The
- 10:01Speaker 1: statement reads, this is a really challenging time for our
- 10:04Speaker 1: family and we're so appreciative of your continued love, compassion support.
- 10:09Speaker 1: We were moving through this as a strong family unit
- 10:12Speaker 1: and wanted to bring fans in because we know how
- 10:14Speaker 1: much he means to you as you do to him.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It continued by saying, as Bruce always says, live it
- 10:21Speaker 1: up and together we plan to do just that. Wow,
- 10:25Speaker 1: this is a big story. Let me pat myself on
- 10:28Speaker 1: the back here, Mark, I knew about this about eight
- 10:30Speaker 1: months ago and I didn't report it. I think a
- 10:32Speaker 1: lot of people in our business did. I'm sure to
- 10:34Speaker 1: the public, it's a big surprise and it's shocking. But
- 10:38Speaker 1: to people who have worked in the entertainment reporting business,
- 10:42Speaker 1: we knew there was problems with Bruce. He often forgot
- 10:44Speaker 1: where he was, as who he was, what he was saying.
- 10:48Speaker 1: His last couple of movies, he's barely been in them
- 10:50Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of the times. All those
- 10:52Speaker 1: big scenes, those action scenes are actually a stunt double.
- 10:56Speaker 1: It's not Bruce. I'm happy that finally the family has
- 10:59Speaker 1: really this because now it stops anybody else telling that story.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Part of the thing, part of the problem I have
- 11:06Speaker 1: with been a reporter, Mark is that even when it's
- 11:09Speaker 1: a big story, I sometimes hold back. I'm just like, gosh,
- 11:12Speaker 1: when it comes to medical stuff or sexuality, those are
- 11:16Speaker 1: stories that I'm still uncomfortable with. Like some reporters can
- 11:19Speaker 1: just do it and I don't. Don't judge them, I
- 11:21Speaker 1: really don't. If a huge story lands in your lab
- 11:24Speaker 1: but it's going to be really upsetting or it's a
- 11:26Speaker 1: medical story, do you do it? Yeah? Rather as a
- 11:29Speaker 1: reporter as well, you have to have some kind of
- 11:31Speaker 1: moral compass and you have to decide is the story
- 11:34Speaker 1: worth it or do I value this person's privacy and
- 11:37Speaker 1: their ability to tell their own story in their own time.
- 11:40Speaker 1: So I respect you a lot for handling in the
- 11:42Speaker 1: way that you have. I knew this story. I knew
- 11:44Speaker 1: this story. So let's just explain what the medical condition is.
- 11:48Speaker 1: It affects somebody's ability to speak right understand language. And
- 11:53Speaker 1: they said it normally occurs after a stroke or a
- 11:55Speaker 1: head injury or a brain tumor. Luckily this can have
- 12:01Speaker 1: a have an uptick. I know somebody who had a
- 12:04Speaker 1: stroke and then had this medical condition and worked really
- 12:08Speaker 1: hard with a speech therapist, also to a physical therapist,
- 12:12Speaker 1: and it's now really doing very very well. So there
- 12:15Speaker 1: is some hope here. But I am glad that finally
- 12:18Speaker 1: the family and that's awfully as I thought, really nicely,
- 12:22Speaker 1: it wasn't a publicist Mark. This statement came from the family,
- 12:25Speaker 1: which includes his ex Demi Moore, who really is part
- 12:29Speaker 1: of that Willis crowd. Nice now you know, it's funny.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Robb in two thousand nineteen interviewed Bruce Willis's wife at
- 12:36Speaker 1: an event and that she was so lovely and she
- 12:39Speaker 1: told me they had just renewed their vows, their tenure
- 12:43Speaker 1: tenure vow, and she told me that Demi was their
- 12:45Speaker 1: front row cheering them on. Family has blended. They all
- 12:49Speaker 1: love each other. They quarantined together, like I really have
- 12:52Speaker 1: an enviable relation. Dennie spent the pandemic with them, so
- 12:57Speaker 1: they left and she was there. I was poking about
- 13:00Speaker 1: trying to cause a little bit of trouble island. Nick.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I was like, come on, there must be times when
- 13:04Speaker 1: you're like, DEMI leave us alone, and they're like, no,
- 13:07Speaker 1: we love having her around. They're like Bruce's wife and
- 13:09Speaker 1: his ex wife really get along their friends, and so
- 13:12Speaker 1: I think now they can all come together, which is
- 13:14Speaker 1: great because Bruce is going to need them all now. Hey,
- 13:17Speaker 1: Amy Schumer is talking about the slap herd around the world.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So Amy was one of the hosts. She said she's
- 13:23Speaker 1: still triggered and traumatized by it, and she said that
- 13:28Speaker 1: I think we can all agree that the best way
- 13:30Speaker 1: to unpack what happened is to stream my new TV
- 13:34Speaker 1: series and I love a plug. They can't help themselves,
- 13:39Speaker 1: can And then she goes on to say no, but
- 13:41Speaker 1: for real, it was triggering and traumatizing. I think Amy
- 13:44Speaker 1: has summed up why this was so big, because it
- 13:48Speaker 1: really was shock him. Like I sat there on my couch.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I was watching it taking notes. I was on TV
- 13:55Speaker 1: the next day talking about the Award Show. Where I
- 13:57Speaker 1: thought I'd be talking about the Award Show, I talked
- 13:59Speaker 1: about something yeah, and I was like absolutely shocked. Mark,
- 14:04Speaker 1: What was your moment when this happened. Yeah, I was
- 14:07Speaker 1: on my couch as well, and when it happened, I
- 14:10Speaker 1: first was in shock, like is this a joke? I
- 14:12Speaker 1: had to rewind it multiple times, and when I realized
- 14:14Speaker 1: the audio had been cut off, knew that he was serious,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and my stomach just dropped. I felt sick. I felt
- 14:20Speaker 1: sick to my stomach. Ap We've not seen somebody slapped
- 14:23Speaker 1: or physically hit. I've not seen that in so long.
- 14:26Speaker 1: My life thankfully does not have violence in it. It's
- 14:29Speaker 1: just not part of my life. I will not allow
- 14:32Speaker 1: that to be in my life and to see it
- 14:35Speaker 1: on television. What now talking about that act? Chris Rock's
- 14:42Speaker 1: brother has something to say. What he had got to say? Mark,
- 14:46Speaker 1: He has a few things to say. I can tell
- 14:48Speaker 1: you he's not happy with Will Smith right now is
- 14:50Speaker 1: let me explain. So Tony Rock he does a fan
- 14:53Speaker 1: Q and A on Tuesdays on his Twitter, and so
- 14:55Speaker 1: when he was asked if he approved of the apology,
- 14:58Speaker 1: he said no. He said, Chris is still waiting to
- 15:01Speaker 1: hear from world directly beyond the Instagram apology we all read.
- 15:05Speaker 1: And he also said Rob that did he was lying
- 15:07Speaker 1: when the mobile said Will and Chris hadn't made up
- 15:09Speaker 1: after the show perfect. I used to work for Puffey.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I know Puffey, and so Puffy loves attention a lot
- 15:16Speaker 1: of celebrities do. He loves to think of himself as
- 15:19Speaker 1: a peacemaker. Was sort of like the center of Hollywood
- 15:23Speaker 1: of New York. I totally understand. Why did he did this?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Do you think he feels foolish now because what he
- 15:28Speaker 1: said it's just not true. Oh, I mean, I hope so.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But he just like he loves to be the center.
- 15:33Speaker 1: He loves to be I predict that did he will
- 15:36Speaker 1: change his Neighborgain in a couple of days so that
- 15:38Speaker 1: we're all distracted. That seems to be the go to move. Hey,
- 15:44Speaker 1: We're gonna take a quick break and we will be
- 15:46Speaker 1: right back. Welcome back to the naught Even nice and
- 15:51Speaker 1: Rob shut with her dear friend Mark Looper. Hey Loopy,
- 15:54Speaker 1: Now you said dr Oz was drunk? Was Mark loopo? Drunk. Oh,
- 15:58Speaker 1: he was up and bar babies, how many? What's your drink?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Is it champagne and an event like that or is
- 16:04Speaker 1: it vodka? Sodas? What do you have? I started with
- 16:07Speaker 1: the champagne started and then I went straight to the Oh,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I start the same. I have a glass of champagne.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It's all lined up. It's free when you get invited
- 16:16Speaker 1: those fancy events. The whole bar, it's just the sea
- 16:18Speaker 1: of champagne in your flutes. And oh, I start on
- 16:21Speaker 1: a champagne. And then after two champagne, I'm like I
- 16:24Speaker 1: had a little bit of energy and I took walk
- 16:26Speaker 1: up to the bartender like I'm Liza Manelle and I'm like, sa,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I'd like to get a vodka sot to remember this face.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I shall be back often. Then the night begins. Dale
- 16:37Speaker 1: Moss from The Bachelor's Cute, He's gorgeous in real life.
- 16:41Speaker 1: We try to date is the wrong word. Miss Dean
- 16:45Speaker 1: introduced me to Dale Moss. So Miss D when we
