- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot.
- 0:01Speaker 2: One morning at a time, welcome looking through the Alabama Show.
- 0:16Speaker 3: I think this morning there was a sign on my
- 0:20Speaker 3: way to work of how today's going to be.
- 0:22Speaker 4: What sign did you see?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Well, there was a fire in somebody's yard at five
- 0:27Speaker 3: am in multiple places. I already had to call nine
- 0:30Speaker 3: one one Before six am.
- 0:32Speaker 5: You had to call them.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I did, and I don't know if I overstepped or not,
- 0:36Speaker 3: but there was a fire by the street and it's
- 0:38Speaker 3: like seventeen degrees outside and it's five am. Nobody was outside.
- 0:42Speaker 3: They weren't doing a bonfire. And then when I drove
- 0:45Speaker 3: by their house real slowly, there was like another fire
- 0:48Speaker 3: and another.
- 0:49Speaker 5: Spot in their yard.
- 0:50Speaker 3: I don't think that fire was supposed to be there.
- 0:52Speaker 3: So I called nine one one, literally I did.
- 0:55Speaker 5: They were like, let's the address of your emergency. I said,
- 0:58Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Somewhere down here.
- 1:00Speaker 5: It's here where I am. I gave him the street.
- 1:03Speaker 3: So if you're listening to the show and a firetruck
- 1:08Speaker 3: wakes you up at five point thirty this morning, or
- 1:12Speaker 3: if you're responding to a fire, yeah it was me
- 1:16Speaker 3: I called.
- 1:17Speaker 5: I don't know. It was weird, but yeah, I did
- 1:19Speaker 5: would you have done that? Yeah, there's two superfires.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Yeah, there's like no one around.
- 1:25Speaker 5: That's what I was like. That's not normal, is it,
- 1:27Speaker 5: Especially this early in the morning. Nobody's doing that, I know.
- 1:30Speaker 5: And I was like, I told the lady. I was like,
- 1:32Speaker 5: I don't want to walk in. I don't want to
- 1:34Speaker 5: I don't want to go knock on their door. So
- 1:37Speaker 5: we'll see. Oh man, that's a wild morning, I know.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Anyway, good morning, thank you for being here. It's going
- 1:42Speaker 3: to be a wild morning the rest of the day.

- 1:57Speaker 3: man blowing leaves alf Israel after his wife told him
- 1:59Speaker 3: not to.

- 2:20Speaker 3: his feet were hanging over the side of the roof.
- 2:24Speaker 3: His wife obviously told him that was a bad idea.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Listen to this. I got you, sir.
- 2:29Speaker 4: I'm glad somebody's got me.
- 2:31Speaker 7: My neighbor just having to walk out and saw my
- 2:33Speaker 7: legs over to the side of the house and called
- 2:36Speaker 7: nine one one. She's been on me for years and
- 2:39Speaker 7: not have to do it. Well. When you build a
- 2:40Speaker 7: home and you go up there and you blow it
- 2:43Speaker 7: once a year, you get confident.
- 2:45Speaker 8: Maybe it's time to take Sharon's adlace and get someone
- 2:47Speaker 8: else up there next year.

- 3:34Speaker 6: January?
- 3:36Speaker 5: Good job. Next one. How many seasons are there? Oh?
- 3:41Speaker 3: Girl?
- 3:41Speaker 5: Happy early birthday?
- 3:43Speaker 8: There is four seasons?
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yep, four seasons bonus points if you can name them?

- 4:37Speaker 4: I didn't know they did that.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I say that, but I'm not one hundred percent sure. Anyway.
- 4:40Speaker 3: It's going to be behind the upcoming raising canes on
- 4:44Speaker 3: meadow Lark Drive. They're expected to be finished by March
- 4:48Speaker 3: or April of twenty twenty six. They do have energy drinks, teas, lemonade,
- 4:51Speaker 3: smoothies and shake. So there you go, Producer Blake, I
- 4:54Speaker 3: do like that. Apple just drop the most downloaded apps
- 4:58Speaker 3: of twenty twenty five, What do you think?
- 5:00Speaker 5: The number one app.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Was Oh, okay, okay, Tender Chat GPT.
- 5:06Speaker 5: No, nobody's downloading tender anymore. Where are you being?
- 5:09Speaker 3: This? Ain't freaking twenty eleven. That was the most downloaded
- 5:13Speaker 3: free iPhone app of the year. Threads was number two,
- 5:15Speaker 3: followed by Google and TikTok. The most downloaded free game
- 5:20Speaker 3: for iPhone was block Blast than Fortnite than Roadblocks. That's right,
- 5:24Speaker 3: Fortnite needs to be I knew, I knew you'd be
- 5:27Speaker 3: happy about that one. And an update on director Rob
- 5:30Speaker 3: Reiner and his wife Michelle, who were found dead at
- 5:32Speaker 3: their La home yesterday. They are now investigating it as
- 5:35Speaker 3: a homicide per people and sources are claiming that it
- 5:40Speaker 3: was their son Nick, who is being investigated. If you
- 5:43Speaker 3: don't know who Rob Reiner was, he was a director, producer,
- 5:45Speaker 3: and actor.
- 5:46Speaker 5: A lot of people know him. Did you watch A
- 5:47Speaker 5: New Girl? He was the dead he played her dad.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:51Speaker 3: So uh, this is really sad and this, I mean,
- 5:54Speaker 3: it's just insane.
- 5:56Speaker 5: As more comes out.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Will keep you updated, But I just want to what
- 5:59Speaker 3: a wild story that is? Three things you need to
- 6:02Speaker 3: know more at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Deana, Good morning.
- 6:11Speaker 3: What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 6:14Speaker 5: I broke up with.
- 6:15Speaker 8: My boyfriend because of his sister.
- 6:17Speaker 5: That's why we do ask Alabama. If you ever have
- 6:20Speaker 5: an issue that you need help with, call the show.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Eight three three five by one. Bama is the number.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Why did you break up with your boyfriend over his sister?
- 6:28Speaker 6: So?
- 6:28Speaker 8: I dated my boyfriend for two years and his relationship
- 6:34Speaker 8: with his sister and his mom always felt off. I'm
- 6:36Speaker 8: wondering if I'm valid and this being weird or maybe
- 6:38Speaker 8: I'm overreacting.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I'm not sure.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Okay, So what are some of the things, like what's
- 6:43Speaker 3: that relationship like with your boyfriend and his sister?
- 6:46Speaker 8: Okay, So my boyfriend lives with his sister. She's always
- 6:49Speaker 8: been super territorial of him, which is fine, but this
- 6:53Speaker 8: one time she she showed me a picture of this
- 6:55Speaker 8: new guy she was dating, and I was like, oh,
- 6:57Speaker 8: he shoot, And immediately she said that I need to
- 7:01Speaker 8: respect her brother and not say that other manner are attractive.
- 7:04Speaker 6: That's weird.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 7:07Speaker 8: She constantly would call him when she knew we were
- 7:09Speaker 8: on deep and she knew because they lived together.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Oh no.
- 7:12Speaker 8: And then one time this was really the kicker. She
- 7:15Speaker 8: made a comment about him having a cute butt that's weird.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Which I thought was really weird.
- 7:20Speaker 8: And then I feel like when I try to bring
- 7:22Speaker 8: it up with him, he would say that I was
- 7:23Speaker 8: crazy and I was overthinking it. So I just realized
- 7:26Speaker 8: that this is not the type of family dynamic that
- 7:28Speaker 8: I want to marry into. So I broke it off.
- 7:31Speaker 8: And I'm just wondering if that's crazy, if me am
- 7:34Speaker 8: I overthinking it.
- 7:35Speaker 5: No, that's so weird. You don't have a sister. You
- 7:38Speaker 5: only have brothers, right.
- 7:40Speaker 9: And if they said I had a cube bat, we'd
- 7:41Speaker 9: have a real issue.
- 7:44Speaker 6: What do you think?
- 7:45Speaker 5: Do you think it's weird or not? Yeah, that's weird.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Be sure that's a sister and not somebody a sister
- 7:53Speaker 3: or something, or.
- 7:55Speaker 5: This sounds like a different type of we are in
- 7:59Speaker 5: the South. That's it's weird. I have two brothers.
- 8:01Speaker 9: Never ever have I ever said that they have a
- 8:03Speaker 9: cute but and never ever would I ever ever, And
- 8:05Speaker 9: if they're on a date, never ever, when I call
- 8:07Speaker 9: them over and over, no, I think, because it's only
- 8:10Speaker 9: going to get worse if you get married.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Let's see if we can get some advice for you.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Call the show. Have you ever dated somebody.
- 8:17Speaker 3: That was unusually close with their family and did you
- 8:21Speaker 3: break it off? Or are you on the other end,
- 8:24Speaker 3: are you really close with your family like this and
- 8:26Speaker 3: not just how you are?
- 8:27Speaker 5: Eight three three five oh one. BAMA is the number.
- 8:30Speaker 3: That's eight three three five oh one two two six two.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Eight three three five I one and BAMA is the
- 8:38Speaker 3: number to call the show. Chritis, good morning. What do
- 8:41Speaker 3: you think about Deanna and her boyfriend and his sister's
- 8:44Speaker 3: weird relationship?
- 8:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, this is real weird. It's always a
- 8:48Speaker 4: little bit weird when a brother and a sister live
- 8:50Speaker 4: together as adults like that. That usually just still mixed
- 8:54Speaker 4: like that.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Yeah, that's really fun.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Okay, but you definitely shouldn't be making comments about.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Each other's Yeah, that's a little weird.
- 9:03Speaker 4: You can see, like she can see that he's handsome
- 9:06Speaker 4: or good looking, that's okay, But talking about the talking
- 9:10Speaker 4: about the rear.
- 9:11Speaker 3: No, So you don't think it's weird that Deanna broke
- 9:15Speaker 3: up with her boyfriend because it made her uncomfortable?
- 9:17Speaker 4: No, No, yeah, there's something funky there and I don't
- 9:21Speaker 4: I wouldn't want to part of that either. I don't
- 9:22Speaker 4: blame her.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Thank you, Maddy, I appreciate you for colling Hey.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Thanks having it's always so yell.
- 9:28Speaker 1: There's three things you need to know with the Element show.
- 9:32Speaker 3: A ribbon cutting happened yesterday that officially opened the new
- 9:35Speaker 3: Calera fire station for a five point five million dollars station.
- 9:41Speaker 5: And there was an open house yesterday. Oh man, that's sick.
- 9:44Speaker 3: It was paid for by the city using grants and
- 9:46Speaker 3: funding after the COVID pandemic. The odds of a white
- 9:50Speaker 3: Christmas are not going to happen. According to meteorologists.
- 9:53Speaker 5: What a shocker. Most of the country.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Is going to have a above average temperatures. There's a
- 10:00Speaker 3: warming trend expected coming up. So the only place that
- 10:04Speaker 3: may get a white Christmas is Alaska.
- 10:06Speaker 4: That's it.
- 10:07Speaker 5: That's it.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Lindsay Lohan is going to voice Maggie on this Sunday's
- 10:12Speaker 3: episode of The Simpsons.
- 10:13Speaker 5: Maggie's the baby yea.
- 10:15Speaker 3: So this is an episode where they're in the future
- 10:18Speaker 3: and Maggie actually talks, and so Lindsay Lohan's going to
- 10:21Speaker 3: be the voice.
- 10:22Speaker 5: This is part of it. I want you to listen
- 10:24Speaker 5: to this.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Oh my good Lord, not to.
- 10:26Speaker 7: Kill people if you don't let me practice.
- 10:27Speaker 5: That's Bart Leggy, Maggie West, your voice. You're still getting
- 10:32Speaker 5: over that Landinas. Here we go.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Please don't let bar drive. It's too scary.
- 10:37Speaker 3: He drives so wiggly, and everybody hunks at us and
- 10:40Speaker 3: yells bad words and shows us fingers.
- 10:42Speaker 5: That's Lindsay Lohan. I would not have guessed that was
- 10:44Speaker 5: Lindsay Lohan.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I would not have either. I'm excited. So that's this
- 10:48Speaker 3: Sunday's episode. If you want to see good for her.
- 10:50Speaker 5: I love that.
- 10:51Speaker 3: That's three things you need to know more at the
- 10:54Speaker 3: Alabama Show dot com.
- 10:56Speaker 1: We're listening to The Alabama Show on demand.

- 11:02Speaker 3: call the show.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Jordan, good morning. Do you have good news?
- 11:05Speaker 3: Good morning?
- 11:06Speaker 8: I kind of have two good news.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Okay, what's your good news?
- 11:09Speaker 4: So I finally got a new job.
- 11:11Speaker 5: What okay?
- 11:15Speaker 8: And the second good news is my husband gets paid
- 11:18Speaker 8: today so we can finally short by Christmas.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Bro I heard that.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I know.
- 11:23Speaker 3: I just got paid today too. There is nothing like
- 11:26Speaker 3: having to wait on that paycheck. So you can go
- 11:28Speaker 3: Christmas shopping. It is stressful, exactly, It's extremely stressful, especially
- 11:33Speaker 3: with three kids.
- 11:34Speaker 5: What what's your new job that you got.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I'm at all stake.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Are you making more money than your other job?
- 11:40Speaker 4: I definitely make a lot more.
- 11:41Speaker 8: I was working on my kid's sake here before.
- 11:43Speaker 3: This, and I love it. Make anything absolutely well. That
- 11:47Speaker 3: is great news. Thank you so much for calling and sharing.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Congratulations, congrats, Thank you.
- 11:53Speaker 1: If you were listening to the Alabama Show, the following
- 11:56Speaker 1: program is fun demand if you missed it.
- 11:58Speaker 3: We've been doing this thing called Alabama's Polite Porch Pirates.
- 12:02Speaker 3: You can sign up at the Alabamashow dot com.
- 12:05Speaker 5: We really want.
- 12:06Speaker 3: To surprise some families who could use a little extra
- 12:11Speaker 3: cheer this year, and trying to pick out winners has
- 12:14Speaker 3: been one of the most difficult things I've ever had
- 12:16Speaker 3: to do. We have one on the line, Miranda, Good morning,
- 12:21Speaker 3: Good morning, hey girl, It's.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Alabama and producer Blake.
- 12:24Speaker 3: We wanted to talk about your granddad really quick because
- 12:27Speaker 3: you nominated your grandfather for Polite Porch Pirates and I
- 12:32Speaker 3: when I read his story that you sent in, I
- 12:34Speaker 3: was like, oh, we got to take him some Christmas cheer.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Is so exciting.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Tell me a little bit about your granddad.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I know I could read this submission, but I want
- 12:44Speaker 3: to hear from you, Like, what about your granddad is
- 12:47Speaker 3: so special?
- 12:47Speaker 5: Why did you want to nominate him?
- 12:49Speaker 6: Well, my granddad he's pretty much raised me since I
- 12:53Speaker 6: was little and he still helps me with my kids today.
- 12:58Speaker 6: We recently lost my grandma mother, which is his law
- 13:02Speaker 6: and they've been married for over thirty five years. Yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 6: and he's always been big on the holiday. He's been
- 13:09Speaker 6: big on Thanksgiving, Christmas. You love Christmas, So he's had
- 13:14Speaker 6: a really rough tom lightly, I.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Can imagine, because I like losing a loved one during
- 13:19Speaker 3: the holidays, and I'm going to try not to tear
- 13:21Speaker 3: up and cry talking to you about it. And like
- 13:24Speaker 3: my grandfather, he passed away, and I've seen my grandmother
- 13:28Speaker 3: navigate life without him, and I can imagine your grandfather
- 13:33Speaker 3: trying to navigate life without her too, And I know
- 13:38Speaker 3: that's got to be really hard, especially for the first
- 13:41Speaker 3: holiday without.
- 13:41Speaker 6: Her that's been run.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I want to call him.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Do you think he would be open to me calling
- 13:48Speaker 3: him with you on speakerphone and telling him that we're
- 13:51Speaker 3: going to show up.
- 13:51Speaker 5: You think you'd be you'd be mad. No, don't think so.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Okay, I'm going to put you on hold and we're
- 13:57Speaker 3: going to go try to call your granddad and we'll
- 13:58Speaker 3: get back to him.
- 14:00Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama show Home on demand.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I want to read you the nomination Miranda did for
- 14:06Speaker 3: her grandfather for polite porch pirates.
- 14:09Speaker 5: All right, hit me with you if you missed it.
- 14:10Speaker 3: We talked to Miranda earlier and we're gonna call her
- 14:13Speaker 3: grandfather and surprise him.
- 14:14Speaker 5: In a second.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Miranda said, my grandparents took me in as a baby
- 14:19Speaker 3: and raised me as their own. Now, all these years later,
- 14:23Speaker 3: he continues to help me with my own babies. This
- 14:27Speaker 3: year will be the first holiday season he's spending alone.
- 14:31Speaker 3: We recently lost my grandmother, his wife of over thirty
- 14:35Speaker 3: five years. She always made every holiday feel magical.
- 14:39Speaker 5: And without her. Oh, this is gonna get me.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I know this season will be incredibly difficult for him.
- 14:45Speaker 3: He is a simple man who never asked for anything,
- 14:48Speaker 3: so it's hard to name a material item he may
- 14:51Speaker 3: want because he has never been that type of person.
- 14:54Speaker 3: But more than any gift, I think what he needs
- 14:58Speaker 3: most is a reminder of how I loved he is.
- 15:01Speaker 5: This is difficult.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I know.
- 15:03Speaker 3: We look and if you know anybody that needs a
- 15:06Speaker 3: little Christmas cheer, go to the Alabama Show dot com.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Miranda has called her grandfather on three Way. We have
- 15:13Speaker 3: him here, Carlton. Good morning, Hello Carlton, you're on three
- 15:19Speaker 3: Way with Miranda. And Hey, I'm Alabama from the Alabama Show.
- 15:25Speaker 3: We're morning show host. I just wanted to say, good morning.
- 15:28Speaker 5: How are you. I'm good, we are good.
- 15:31Speaker 3: So we do this thing on the show and it's
- 15:33Speaker 3: called Polite Porch Pirates, and we have asked people to
- 15:37Speaker 3: submit people who could use a little extra holiday cheer,
- 15:42Speaker 3: and Miranda nominated you, and we wanted to bring you
- 15:46Speaker 3: some Christmas presents.
- 15:48Speaker 8: Okay, can I can?
- 15:50Speaker 3: Can I tell you a little bit of what she
- 15:53Speaker 3: has told us? And so so Miranda told us that
- 15:57Speaker 3: this will be your first holiday season. We know that
- 16:00Speaker 3: you have lost your wife of thirty five years and
