Man Charged with Animal Torture in SF | Oakland News
A Reno man, 33, is facing felony animal cruelty charges after allegedly torturing and killing a kitten at a San Francisco bank ATM area in July. Police caught him at a hotel, where he reportedly tried to flee onto a roof before surrendering. Despite the severity of the charges, he was released quickly due to a recent California Supreme Court ruling limiting detention for non-human violence cases.
