- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: And we're on.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: This is the camp report for August first.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: We made it to August.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: August first, twenty twenty five.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: And today was.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: I guess you could call it an interesting day in that I did have coach Eric Smith with me.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: And he of Scott in the fence.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: So listen to his podcasts when that he does with his son.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's very informative.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: But it was pretty cool day because he got to see some of the things that I was seen and as and as you all know, he coaches all friends of mine.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he gets to have a pretty good idea of what's actually going on out there.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: All I can say is that today was a I've had enough of your shit type day from Zaxi Ler and Zaxi Ler had very, very good moments in the eleven on eleven versus James Daniel and Jonah Savaya now.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Most of the accounts join us if I need.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: I actually booked one win against him on one on one.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let me run down the notes and then in the second half of the show, we will take your questions.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, this show is brought to you by price picks.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Use a promo code five, fi ve, and you get fifty dollars worth of your five dollar play.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Right now you got major league baseball.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: We just had to trade deadline go by.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: uh... kind of a few good players are here and there so make your plays accordingly remember f i v e five prospects dot com
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Here are my notes.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, Coach Eric was standing right next to me.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: So we're there for practice.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Pads remain on for this practice.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: BJ Adams is in a red no contact jersey.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Brooks is in orange.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Two new hairstyle.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: No braids.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Full blow up.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: when yours plays catch with some fans and the first song on Brooks playlist is this is how we do it by the way his playlist was very very early ninety centric very good players I felt like I was back in high school by the way it was pretty interesting pretty pretty cool playlist no weird mumble rap on it
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: All right, DJ Trader's on the side and he's in pads, but not in stretch later on.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: He was pushing a sled.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: He has a compression sleeve on his right leg.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: Aaron Broo was stretching with the team, but did not gear up.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: Although later on in practice, he did put on his helmet and was working on the far field, but he was not geared up.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was not in pads.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: He was not, I guess, ready to participate on eleven on eleven.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess we were close on him.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, nobody spotted Darren Waller, although Tyreekill named check them in his availability today.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I really do highly recommend the you guys watch Tyreekill's availability today.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was pretty entertaining.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, we get into the warmups and Brooks and Minka warming up together with tennis balls.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: There was in the little tennis ball, a high and die coordination, quick twitch drills.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Chad Johnson is here and he was talking with Chris Greer.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: I do write that Brewer has put a helmet on and is working on the four field.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Ocho started chatting up, make a Fitzpatrick and then we get into the indie drills.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Horn sounds and they do some unit install.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's mostly run game stuff on the four field.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: More drills.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then I write, and this is just my observation, and it's something I feel kind of good about as far as this roster is concerned.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: When Malafon comes back, and that's a real question because we haven't seen him.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: The safety room could be a strength, okay, is what I write.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then I also continue with, even with Ashton Davis injured, I'm still feeling good about the room, especially since John Sonner's junior is emerging.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, we move on to one-on-one, Jonah Stone's grant to start one-on-one's Paul Wins versus Chub.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: This is becoming like a regular occurrence.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like Bradley Chub is he has issues with Patrick Paul.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Phillips beats Brunskell with a swim move.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Good rep by bright and Daniels are right on Zigg Biggers.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: AJ and Chop gets pretty physical there as Chop goes to the ground.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: And AJ follows them.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah with a good rep on Zack Seeler.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Then Seeler gets his hands up to his face on this on that rep.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Phillips uses a power move more than any other defensive tackle.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: So everybody else is trying to get into their bag and Jordan Phillips just tries to try to bull rush on pretty much every rep.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: Some defensive install is happening on the other side of the field.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Still going offensive line versus defensive line seems extended period.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: One on one's here.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: Camara beats Paul with a good inside.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Move this the first time that I thought he beat him.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Although we were debating whether he actually did beat him or not.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: because Coach Eric was like, I don't know if he beat him or not.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that he kind of came inside and caused some trash to be at the feet of the quarterback.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: All the room where there's no quarterback there.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: So you got to imagine that the quarterback is back there.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: So personally, if you caused trash at the quarterback's feet and you caused the quarterback to move off of his spot and it breaks his timing, I consider that a win.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: But Paul didn't allow sack, like you could say that.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then I write, come I was bringing it today and I guess it's important to say that because later on in practice he did lead practice and went into the ambulance but they weren't working on any extremities or anything.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe it was a heat thing.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: He overheated or something.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: Try to get some fluids.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Chop gets a good rush on Paul and then I call out a stalemate as it was.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty good rep as in Patrick Paul just wrote a way up field.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Then the horn sounds and we're into eleven on eleven.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Balls at the forty seven yard line.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is a good looking play.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Two tries a back shoulder fade, angled, just drops it.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: Tyrell Dodson was in coverage.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: Power left game of two, Dodson stopped.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: HN again, outside zone finds a little bit of room and Brooks over pursues.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: So there was a little bit of room on that outside zone with Devon HN again.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Zack Wilson is in Madison lead right gets four yards right outside zone Jack Jones stops it for three.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Jones actually been tackling and he's never had the reputation as as a pretty good tackle or but he's sticking his nose in there.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: uh... next play play action throw away on a tight-end screen yours comes in all the garden cut back on an inside zone run and finds five yards next play is bad snap by west add some west and when he was throws away the ball uh... to an unsuspecting ten account of what's been expecting the ball and he was just through that
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: in complete.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Two of comes back in and around with HN tricky play.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: I can't talk about the personnel groupings, but you can guess, look, I just just go online and just look at the video and you could see that personnel groupings was an interesting one.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Brooks, good pursuit for a two-yard stop.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: He read it pretty much the whole way.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: Inside zone to Madison and sealer knocks it up and out of his hands, Bradley Chop catches it and runs it back for a touchdown.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: Zach Wilson comes in and then a right Hayden Ruchi is getting a very large drip count today Do with that what you will very nice throw flushed left a deep completion to Erica Zukama to drag catch Let's call it a gain of twenty six Red Zone work as the horn sounds two it comes in ball on the twelve yard line screen to hell nothing
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: HN inside Zone Brook stops it for two.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: They respot the ball at the seven.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Zaxealer beats Jonah for a sack.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, Zaxealer was not blockable today.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Inside Counter finds a little bit of room and Jonah leads the way.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: Good run for a score I write with a question mark.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, to uh, although the opposite line was celebrating like they did score.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, do with that, what you will.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: To a strike on a slot Q. Oh, which is a quick out.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: Terry touchdown.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: You got to see that play online.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Zach Wilson comes in on the Gordon outside zone, Murphy with a tackle for loss, very nice play.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's having another good camp after having a good camp last year.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: switch route.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, when I say switch route and I say it a couple of times in these notes, you gotta think about because I can't tell you the routes that they're running because I'm essentially revealing the place.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: When I call a switch route, it just means that there's two guys on one side of the formation and they're running opposite routes, meaning one's going in and the other one's going out.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: So, in other words, a switch release route.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: All right, switch route to the right, incomplete, and then a right, complete miscommunication from Zach Wilson to his wife, receivers there.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Westbrook Akini was one of them.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Can't good, bats down a quick smoke pass, nice play, and Queniers comes in.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Inside zone to all the Gordon gets about two yards.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Nice throw to the high, a nice high throw to the post finds the old week for a touchdown.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: BJ Adams was tight in coverage.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Weaves up bottom at the back of the end zone.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: Very nice play back when yours.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Next play, John Saunders Jr.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Intercepted in the end zone on a broken play.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of like a scrambled roll drill and you were tries to make something out of nothing and ends up throwing the interception to John Saunders Jr.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Horn sounds and two it comes in.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: The ball is respotted at the ten yard line.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Quick out.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: To jail in the water gets a quick five.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Next play, corner combo.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: No body there.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: There was a collision underneath between Hayden Ruchi and Jordan Brooks and that kind of blew up the timing of the play.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Zach Wilson comes in and then I write and parentheses the defense is standing tall today.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Corner route, over throw, could coverage by Mike Hilton on the corner route.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: That was DSG by the way.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: Switch route again, and this time Jack Jones jumps it and intercepts it in the end zone.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then I write defense has dominated in red zone so far.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Special teams work and then they do some indie drills and then I write Medanio is chatting up all the kick returners.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: The kick returners were Alexander Madison, Malik Washington, Henning and Jalen Wright.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Eleven on eleven starts up again and two is in.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: Balls on the forty five yard line going in to an option route to Julian Hill to get him started down to the thirty nine yard line.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: HN outside zone.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jellin Phillips stops it for a gain of two thirty two to a water in front of Sheffield.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: First down at the thirty three.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Outside zone HN left gain six down to the twenty seven second and four Jellin the water left.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: uh... ferro brown first down i mean uh... this was a okay why go boot left ferro brown with the first down and then they just call the series and they started all over again was that Wilson ball up to forty-five yard line same set up square in to next west for kina down to the thirty-two big game
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, thirteen yards.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Ta-da Connor.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Ta-da Connor on a short option route.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: And Jack Jones makes the tackle down to the twenty six second and four.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Play action deep throwback.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: Cobra gets finger tips on it at the gold line and it bounces right to ten of Connor for a touchdown.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Next series, yours is in, same setup, overshoot tending on the first pass, outside zone for Madison big game to the twenty nine yard line, next play screen left, and Grace and Murphy breaks it up.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: The horn sounds and nothing to do red zone drills.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Ball is spotted at the thirteen yard line.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Two is in.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then I write nice call, slot fade, the Alec Engold over Jalen Phillips, diving.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like he has it, and no incomplete.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Drops it in the corner of the Amazon.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: It would have been a very difficult case, but it was a great throw, great looking play.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: HNX play outside zone right get seven maybe more Nick Westbroker Kini with a key block and then a right good rush here.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Sealer is in on Tua and Tua throws a TD on what in my opinion would have been a sack or a throw away.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right next play two hits Rik on a hitch on Ethan Bonner touchdown.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Zach Wilson in and around the corner and chop Robinson gets the tackle for loss Next play I'll be Gordon big hole touched on up the middle from the nine yard line He got a pretty good day today.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: He was noticeable Zach Wilson misses Henning on the quick out sharp pass by Zach on a corner to escredch Touchdown
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yours hits Brown over Colbert and it happens again.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Colbert was the opposite case.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: He did not have a good day today.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Ethan Robinson, PBU on a good look, look off by yours.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of those where yours tries to quick pass the defense trying to fit it in there and Ethan Robinson closed the distance and broke it up.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: horn sounds and now they're spot in the ball at the twenty five yard line uh... their own twenty five yard line to it is in general right slams into the line and then you quickly noticed that they're changing the the yard markers and the scoreboard and they're essentially running short yardage and it's starting one general right slams into the line and it gets out of the pile and signals first time so that was a set successful play not starting three
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: They do a third and three boot to the left.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: General right catches it and it's another first down.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: They do it once more on third and three.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: Another boot left.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: This time they go deep for Tyreak and it's incomplete.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: Zach Wilson comes in, third and one.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: And deep to escrow it's good coverage by Marshall.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: It was one on one on an island with nobody else.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it was play action to try to get one over the top and it's incomplete.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: The pass was there.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was better coverage than the route or pass was.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: But the pass was there.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was just slightly off, but good coverage by Marshall.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: Gordon inside Zone on third and one.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: First down, but on that play, I write boom, KJ Brett with a big hit.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: And on the Gordon just jumped up, jumped up from the pile and signal first down.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: And they call practice right there, practice over.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: There is no word on what happened with, with Kamara.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: We just know that he went in and I did not see a trainer work on any of his extremities.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: So we don't know what it was.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: My practice player of the day or my player of the practice is actually there.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: He just could not be blocked today.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go to break and when we come back from from break, we will take your questions.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: But first, these words.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and we are back.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me take your questions in the chat.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: Who is emerging as the wide receiver three so far through camp?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, look, I know that it's been popular for some people and some beat writers to say, oh, this guy's look really good.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that guy's looked fabulous.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: Look, the escred just having a good camp.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: But the Y receiver three is Nick Westbrook Akine.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: It looked they paid a money and I don't give a crap about camp.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: I know I give a crap about the guy that had nine touchdowns last year and is one of the best five blockers at Y receiver in the NFL.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's Y receiver three.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Malik Washington should get plenty of run.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: They'll be snaps there at Y receiver three, but I would say that Nick Westbrook Akine is that guy as of right now.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: And remember, it's not like jail and water and Tyree kill play every single snap on offense.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: They don't.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: They sometimes come out.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: So there's going to be many, many snaps where you're going to have Tyre Kill and Malik Washington together.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have Jay and Wattle and Nick Westbrook and Keene together.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Tyreak and Nick Westbrook and Keene.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you're going to have Nick Westbrook and Keene and Malik Washington together.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's they're going to be running them in combination.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that there's going to be definitely four guys that are going to play on game days.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: So why do you see we're three?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just say that Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook a Keener added to the big two guys and the top two guys.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: And that's pretty much your game day group.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: D s great possibly the fifth guy.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: Although I really like this group.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: I like this group pretty much up and down.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's really no no weak spot on this group.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: all of these guys are probably NFL players and at the very least they're back-and-guys even the even the turret blacks of the world are guys that are probably back-and-guys on most rosters in the NFL.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right other than cornerback what's the one position on this team right now which could destroy our season.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Wow destroy our season I guess the quarterback if he gets injured.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah I don't know if look I don't I don't I don't think that cornerbacks can destroy the season either.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: Next question.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: So we have a full wireless super core, our DB's holding their own.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Today they did.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah and P.P update.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah had a bitch of a time with Zach Celer today.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Paul doing this thing again.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he's having a pretty good camp.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Two off today.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's two is two.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: Two is fine.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: Brunsco broken.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Our three-edge rushers looking world-class.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys look pretty good.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: Brelly Chubber's in fabulous shape.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: Shake.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: His only issue is that he's going up against Patrick Paul.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to say a Patrick Paul owns them, but he's having a pretty good time against going against them.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and now they don't just look good because they're going up against our offensive line because they don't always look good, especially against Patrick Paul or Austin Jackson for that matter.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like they're they're booking wins.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you know, our offensive tackles are booking wins against our age rushers.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: So they've been just fine.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: Pick your eight offensive linemen as of now.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: This is like this is the rare six part question Eight offensive linemen while the top five guys Andrew Myers the backup standard brunskill as a guard and Key on Smith as a tackle, but they're gonna keep more than that.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Liam is still lurking and Borom has a Larry Borom has a guarantee.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they keep nine.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: If Grant and Jonah Pan out this year has agreed done enough to save his job or sway your opinion of him.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: It'll sway my opinion of him, but the only thing that's going to keep that it's going to help him keep his job is results.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: This team gets another winning season.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think it keeps his job.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: They win ten games.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: How do you fire that guy?
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: If they win ten games, look, everybody's been, everybody in the national media is trash in this team, right?
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: If they win ten games, you can't just say, ah, they under achieved again.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: Fire them.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, dolphins have hit the over on their win total five out of the last six seasons.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: So what keeps Greer employed is if the team meets baseline expectations.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to get rid of them because I want a new eyes on this team to see if somebody else can take them to the next level because I felt like the team had plateaued into this one and done group.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: Those teams that seem to make the playoffs down near every year but never really advance.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: That was my fear.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, the team has a successful season, meaning they win like ten games.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably going to keep his job because if they win ten games, it's because of his draft picks the last two years.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: How is the timing with the offensive line getting better?
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's much much better on the first team than it is on the second team.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: Although the first team still has issues timing up screens, it's just not their thing, at least not so far.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he goes on meaning how many false starts have we had not many with first team quite a few on second team second teams had its issues like these games are going to be fun to watch interesting to watch for the first time in a long time preseason is much more interesting this season
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: Is it concerning or are they pretty clean in that aspect of the game so far?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's just a continuation of the same thing.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's not, it's not a concern yet.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to wait to the preseason games to see if it's a concern or not.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Is Nick Westbrook a keen a finally flashing?
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's been flashing all along, but it's hard to flash when you why receiver three, you know what I mean?
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: And Waddle and Tyre Kill take all the air out of the room.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, he's been fine.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: He had a pretty good.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: We had a pretty good day today.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, heard one guy saying they should cut Nick Westbrook, Keene who the hell said that.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's insane.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, any breadcrumbs on a potential co-who replacement, uh, nothing yet, but as far as who's going to be the nickel.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of know it's going to be Mike Hilton.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: Next question is Jerry Jones the biggest more on owner in the whole NFL know that belongs to Mike Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals and very very close second is Jimmy Haslam of the Cleveland Browns.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oddly enough both of them are in the same division.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and by the way, they're in the same division with a Bashadi and with the Rooney family, which are two of the best owners in Hall of Football.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that's an odd division, right?
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Two complete clowns and then two really really good owners, all in the same division.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: Any chance Miami tries to toss a draft pick for that Kansas City cornerback that rumor has been for.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: Look, there is no rumor.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's just some guy that made shit up online.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: uh... the guy you're talking about is Joshua Williams uh... why the hell with the chiefs trading good young cornerback a promising young cornerback that's cost controlled right now look uh... the guy wrote sent him a six-round pick and you get Joshua Williams yeah i do that in a second
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like not only would I do that in a second.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: I do better than that.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: I trade a better pick than a six-round pick and I would extend Joshua Williams.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: I would tell them what do you say to twelve million dollars a year and try to get them cost controlled for the next four years here.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, if it sounds too good to be true, it's because it probably is.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: Just how worried should we beat about the backup offensive line.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm worried about swing tackle.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have one.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much clear I can be.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: There is none.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: There is no swing tackle right now.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and you're painting through the fence, have any personal splash moves coming, trade or signing.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a signing that's imminent.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: Probably at defensive back, but no information.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who it is, but there's rumors that there's rumors going around that they're entertaining adding somebody to the defensive back field.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if it's a corner or is it safety?
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: who is the one player so far through camp that really isn't being talked about, but that is making the biggest impact, K-Jibret, really good fill line back.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: My neck, I bring it as a specialist.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be pretty good for this team.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say specialist, man, we're talking.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: ten to fifteen snaps the game obvious rundowns as the third linebacker to play the fill the fill roll as Brooks plays the script like you can see a situation where all four linebackers are pretty active on the snap sheet on the snap count sheet so yeah
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, do you see both Saunders and MacMores making the fifty-three?
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: I see both of them being controlled on the practice squad at the very least.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: I like both players.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: MacMores had the big preseason last year.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: Saunders is having a pretty good one this year.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's watch these these preseason games because they're going to play.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: So let's see how much they, they flash when there's actual games being played.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: What do you make of the Titan group so far?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's not very good.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: Anything worth mentioning?
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hidden Ruchi.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: Promotion?
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: On an earlier podcast, you said that losing Paul will be the biggest loss on the line.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Wise left tackle, a bigger loss than Jackson, a right tackle, especially since two is left-handed.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: Two is six feet one.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: I've tried to explain this many, many times and everybody's, oh, that makes perfect sense, right?
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Tua is a very, very good quarterback in the pocket as far as he has very, very good pocket awareness.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: He knows what he's doing.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: He knows how to move up, down, left, right, tries to find soft spots in the pocket to try to get passes off.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: I worry about past rushes getting in his face.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Especially since he is six one.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, his blind side is the right side.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could sense pressure from that side.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: I have issues with your left tackle getting beat.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden, Tua is staring at a guy who's six five, two hundred and sixty pounds coming in on him.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's gonna make most guys drop their eyesight off of the field and essentially just kills the play, right?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: So you need your left tackle to stand tall against the past rush when your quarterback is shorter than most.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, and I think we have a few more here.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Did the offense attempt to move more, smash mouth and short yardage?
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, or is it still more finesse?
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, they run a lot of leads in power.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: How has Ali Gordon look so far good?
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let's crowd room.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think he'll contribute this year or mainly be a bench warmer look that they can always take an injury if they take an injury he's pressed into action So that's where we are do you think hate and roots you get extended work and preceding the game number one?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely and possibly building on that for the remainder I think he has that look
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: Not only does he have that look, but I think Julian Hill might be in a little bit of trouble.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: Is Jack Jones about the pleasantly surprised this season?
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know why?
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: Because he's always pleasantly surprised.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: His problem is his staying power.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: He never sticks around for too far, for too long, because something always happens with him.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: He has a lot of talent.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: How will we manage to get all three edge rushers on the fields for as much as they should be?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: Do you feel better about our depth at tackle or center?
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's not even close.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Can't Smith, he's playing a lot of guard.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, depth at tackle.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: How can you compare the depth at tackle, which there is none, to the depth at center, which are, they have three guys that they like at center.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: And three guys that have looked good at center.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: You have Brewer, who's a top guy.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: It might have been in my estimation, he's a pro bowl guy.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: You got Brunskell, who, in my opinion, was a good, very good NFL center last season.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: You got Andrew Myers, who's having a pretty damn good camp.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, and how do you get all three edge rushers on the fields?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: You just put them on the field.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's how.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, General Phillips can rush as a three-tech.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's good rushing in between the tackles.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: Always been very good.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: At one point, he had more sacks rushing three-tech at University of Miami than he did rushing off the edge.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: Stormdruck does he look like a legit starter so far he does last question because we're running a little long why do you think they're trying to make he on a guard and borrow a tackle rather than vice versa I have no idea
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: I will ask butchberry on Monday.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's when he is available.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: I will ask him on Monday.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's one of the questions.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great mystery to me.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I will ask him about it on Monday.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: They do have practice tomorrow.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: and practice on Sunday.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, you're going to get to hear me throughout the week.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: Until they go to Chicago next week on Wednesday, I believe.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: Wednesday after practice when they leave for it for Chicago.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: I will talk to you again tomorrow.
