- 1:17Speaker 1: when any of our shows go live. Hello, lady and Graces.
- 1:23Speaker 1: That's hello Lama. Good to see you, substitute teacher. Yes, yes,
- 1:27Speaker 1: I am the substitute teacher for today, aren't it. Well,
- 1:30Speaker 1: let's go ahead and get right into our first case,
- 1:34Speaker 1: shall we. This case is about Jonathan Wong, a twenty
- 1:39Speaker 1: two year old from Arlington, Washington, whose disappearance has left
- 1:43Speaker 1: his family devastated and desperate for answers. We'll walk through
- 1:48Speaker 1: who Jonathan is, the night he went missing, the search efforts,
- 1:52Speaker 1: the confirmed sightings, and what we can all do to
- 1:56Speaker 1: help bring him home. See, Jonathan isn't just a missing person.
- 2:01Speaker 1: He's a son, a brother, and a young man with
- 2:05Speaker 1: a big heart and simple joys. He loves food and
- 2:09Speaker 1: drink places like Red Robin, Buffalo wild Wings, Olive Garden,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and Starbucks. He's known for root beer floats, banana shakes,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Lotus drinks, Italian sodas, and snacks of all kinds. Me too, Jonathan,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I love snacks as well. When asked what he wanted
- 2:29Speaker 1: for Christmas or birthdays, Jonathan often said, I'm grateful for
- 2:34Speaker 1: what I have so nice at home. Jonathan enjoys playing
- 2:40Speaker 1: video playing games on his iPad like Minecraft, Mario Kart,
- 2:45Speaker 1: Smash Brothers, Zelda, and cuddling his Perry, the Platypus pillow pet.
- 2:51Speaker 1: He has a qirky love of cryptids like Bigfoot and
- 2:54Speaker 1: modern folklore like Crampis or Slenderman. He reads Captain Underpain
- 3:00Speaker 1: and Diary of a Wimpy Kid and loves silly middle
- 3:03Speaker 1: school humor. He also adores his Yorky lady and often
- 3:09Speaker 1: said I think lady needs some attention now. Jonathan is
- 3:14Speaker 1: autistic and he prefers quiet, cozy spaces, and his social
- 3:18Speaker 1: world is small. His family, teachers, neighbors, and classmates in
- 3:24Speaker 1: his transitions program. He's very trusting and respectful and sees
- 3:30Speaker 1: adults as authority figures. He's also a creature of habit
- 3:35Speaker 1: who took the same daily neighborhood walk, crossing the street
- 3:39Speaker 1: in the same way every time. When he's anxious, Jonathan paces,
- 3:46Speaker 1: rocks or hunts a soft m He struggles with problem
- 3:51Speaker 1: solving and can shut down under stress, and is unlikely
- 3:55Speaker 1: to advocate for himself or tells someone he has lost.
- 4:00Speaker 1: He may, however, ask for food, water, or a restroom.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Now Jonathan is recognizable. He has a large mole on
- 4:09Speaker 1: his right forearm, two on the left side of his face,
- 4:13Speaker 1: a bit of a hunched posture, and sometimes will walk
- 4:17Speaker 1: with his hands behind his back or forward with bent
- 4:21Speaker 1: arms and clenched fist. His jackets were his comfort. He
- 4:26Speaker 1: wore them year round with the hood up like a
- 4:29Speaker 1: security blanket. Now. On Sunday, March thirtieth, twenty twenty five,
- 4:36Speaker 1: Jonathan said good night to his father around seven thirty
- 4:39Speaker 1: PM at their Arlington home. By six point forty the
- 4:43Speaker 1: next morning, when his mother went to wake him for school,
- 4:47Speaker 1: he was gone. He left without his jackets, wallet, phone, money,
- 4:53Speaker 1: or medications. All that was missing was his iPad and
- 4:58Speaker 1: a pair of wired ears. For Jonathan, who never took
- 5:03Speaker 1: his iPad outside except for a long car ride or
- 5:07Speaker 1: plane trips, this was a major red flag. His family
- 5:13Speaker 1: believes he didn't intend to be gone long, or that
- 5:16Speaker 1: he was coursed outside by someone he trusted. For Jonathan
- 5:22Speaker 1: leaving at night alone and without his jacket was a
- 5:26Speaker 1: massive break from routine. His family insists that this was
- 5:31Speaker 1: not something he would do on his own. Now, the
- 5:36Speaker 1: Sunomish County Sheriff's Office mounted a large search and rescue effort.
- 5:41Speaker 1: In the first week, professional trackers sent dogs, cadaver dogs, drones,
- 5:48Speaker 1: helicopters with infrared, and riverboats combed the area. On April fifth,
- 5:54Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty volunteers searched shoulder to shoulder looking
- 5:59Speaker 1: for him. Investigators initially expected to recover remains, but the
- 6:06Speaker 1: total lack of evidence convinced many that Jonathan had likely
- 6:11Speaker 1: been taken by car the night he vanished. Now, despite
- 6:17Speaker 1: a subpoena, Apple refused to release Jonathan's iPad data, and
- 6:23Speaker 1: the last find myping placed it directly in front of
- 6:27Speaker 1: his house. His telephone was left behind, and no digital
- 6:32Speaker 1: clues have surfaced. With no results, the Sheriff's office shifted
- 6:37Speaker 1: the case from search and rescue to major crimes. For
- 6:42Speaker 1: nearly three months, there were no credible sightings until June
- 6:48Speaker 1: twenty third, twenty twenty five, security cameras from three homes
- 6:54Speaker 1: in South Wanita, Kirkland, about fifty miles away, captured footage
- 7:00Speaker 1: of Jonathan between eleven PM and midnight. In the videos,
- 7:05Speaker 1: he looks clean and groomed, but a bit disoriented. His
- 7:10Speaker 1: distinctive walk, posture, and vocal stem the soft were all there.
- 7:18Speaker 1: His teachers, speech pathologists, and extended family confirmed it was Jonathan. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 1: the family believes he may have been with someone and
- 7:29Speaker 1: became separated that night. One street in the area even
- 7:34Speaker 1: shares a name similar to Jonathan's home address, raising the
- 7:38Speaker 1: possibility that his habitual nature may have drew him there.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Since then, there have been no verified sightings. Now, Jonathan's
- 7:49Speaker 1: family has fought tire tirelessly. They've created flyers, media campaigns,
- 7:56Speaker 1: and online communities. They've raised funds, hired a private investigator,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and sought help from local officials, state representatives, senators, and
- 8:07Speaker 1: even the governor's office. They've pressed for FBI involvement, though
- 8:13Speaker 1: Snahomish County has yet to request interagency support, which not
- 8:22Speaker 1: a fan of that I am not known. His father,
- 8:26Speaker 1: Thou describes the helplessness of knowing Jonathan may be out
- 8:31Speaker 1: there asking to come home. His sister Irene calls it excruciating,
- 8:37Speaker 1: not knowing if he is safe, and the family believes
- 8:40Speaker 1: Jonathan is alive but under someone else's care or control,
- 8:45Speaker 1: and they are determined to bring him home. Now. Jonathan's
- 8:50Speaker 1: case remains open with the Snahomish County Major Crimes and
- 8:55Speaker 1: a hundred thousand dollars reward is being offered for information
- 9:00Speaker 1: that leads to his safe return or answers in his disappearance. Now,
- 9:05Speaker 1: if you live in Washington State or anywhere, please keep
- 9:10Speaker 1: Jonathan in mind. He may appear disoriented, anxious, or homeless,
- 9:16Speaker 1: but he is loved, missed, and urgently needed at home.
- 9:22Speaker 1: If you have information, call the Snowhomish County Sheriff's Office
- 9:26Speaker 1: or your local law enforcement immediately. Now. Jonathan's story is
- 9:32Speaker 1: one of vulnerability, trust in a family's relentless fight for answers.
- 9:38Speaker 1: He is more than a missing poster. He is a
- 9:41Speaker 1: young man who loves silly books, root gear, floats, video games,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and his little dog Lady. Someone knows where Jonathan is,
- 9:53Speaker 1: so please share his story, spread his photo, and help
- 9:57Speaker 1: bring Jonathan home. Now. If you know of or have
- 10:03Speaker 1: a loved one missing and are interested in having their
- 10:06Speaker 1: story featured on an upcoming episode of Midday Missing and
- 10:11Speaker 1: or want to join us for a live interview, Please
- 10:14Speaker 1: contact Amy, our producer, by emailing Amy Amy at tcwtmedia
- 10:22Speaker 1: dot com. Now for our next story, We're going to
- 10:27Speaker 1: talk about Julianne Cecilia Jaihei. Julianne was thirty six years
- 10:35Speaker 1: old when she disappeared in nineteen eighty five. She stood
- 10:39Speaker 1: about five foot seven, weighed around one hundred and twenty
- 10:43Speaker 1: five pounds, with brown hair and striking green eyes. She
- 10:48Speaker 1: was a mother, a sister, and a newlywed just six
- 10:53Speaker 1: months into her marriage to a man named Ian when
- 10:58Speaker 1: she vanished. Now, Julianne and Ian lived in Bellevue, Washington,
- 11:03Speaker 1: in a rented home in the Lake Hills neighborhood. Her daughter,
- 11:07Speaker 1: who lived with her grandparents at the time and was
- 11:11Speaker 1: just eleven years old, recalls shopping with her mom and
- 11:14Speaker 1: sharing pizza together in the days before she disappeared. Julianne's
- 11:19Speaker 1: sister remembered talking with her on the phone and said
- 11:23Speaker 1: that Julianne was cheerful and busy decorating her new home
- 11:27Speaker 1: and looking forward to the future. Those who knew her
- 11:31Speaker 1: describe her laugh, her smile, and her warmth. She was
- 11:35Speaker 1: the kind of woman who made her presence felt in
- 11:38Speaker 1: any room, full of energy, vibrant and caring. Now on
- 11:45Speaker 1: June one, nineteen eighty five, life for Julienne appeared normal,
- 11:52Speaker 1: but behind the scenes there was some tension. She and
- 11:57Speaker 1: her husband had an argument. According to Ian, they got
- 12:01Speaker 1: into an argument and julian told him that she was leaving,
- 12:06Speaker 1: and when Ian returned home, she was gone, as well
- 12:10Speaker 1: as a suitcase and some of her belongings. This was
- 12:16Speaker 1: the last time anyone in her family saw her. Now,
- 12:22Speaker 1: no one reported her missing right away. As a matter
- 12:25Speaker 1: of fact, weeks went by, and then finally, on June eighteenth,
- 12:30Speaker 1: it was her parents, not her husband, Ian, who filed
- 12:34Speaker 1: the missing person's report. Then something strange happened. A few
- 12:42Speaker 1: weeks later, Julianne's purse appeared in the lobby of the
- 12:46Speaker 1: MGM Grand Hotel in Reno, Nevada, hundreds of miles away
- 12:53Speaker 1: from her home in Washington. Inside was her wallet and
- 12:58Speaker 1: other personal belongings. Now an employee then mailed the purse
- 13:03Speaker 1: and belongings to Julianne's parents' home, saying Julianne had forgotten them,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and this is weird. That is weird to me that
- 13:16Speaker 1: somebody just mailed and knew to mail them to Julian's
- 13:20Speaker 1: parents' house. That's it's interesting, but we'll keep going. But
- 13:28Speaker 1: investigators could find no evidence that Julianne had ever checked
- 13:34Speaker 1: into the hotel, stayed there, or even been seen in Reno.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It was a clue that raised more questions than answers.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Now police in Bellevue, Washington opened the investigation once her
- 13:48Speaker 1: parents filed the report. Detectives looked into the Reno connection,
- 13:53Speaker 1: but the trail quickly went cold. There were no records,
- 13:57Speaker 1: no witnesses, in no sign of Julienne beyond the strange
- 14:02Speaker 1: appearance of her purse. Now, the case was complicated by
- 14:07Speaker 1: the delay in reporting her missing. Without early searches, without
- 14:13Speaker 1: interviews in those crucial first days, vital leads may have
- 14:17Speaker 1: been lost. Now to this day, investigators have never recovered
- 14:23Speaker 1: any additional belongings, and no confirmed sightings have surfaced. Now,
- 14:30Speaker 1: Julianne's daughter never believed her mother left voluntarily. As she
- 14:37Speaker 1: grew older, she voiced suspicions that Ian, Julianne's husband knew
- 14:42Speaker 1: more than he ever revealed. According to her daughter, she
- 14:47Speaker 1: actually confronted Ian years later about her mother's disappearance and
- 14:52Speaker 1: said to him that Julianne was gone because of him,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and he responded briefly with the word I know, but
- 15:03Speaker 1: gave no explanation. Oh that's very interesting Ian. Now, since
- 15:11Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five, Ian has remarried four times, Anne moved
- 15:16Speaker 1: at least a dozen or more times. Julianne's daughter believes
- 15:21Speaker 1: her mom was murdered in the house and disposed of.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I mean that theory is an interesting one, that's for sure. Now.
- 15:33Speaker 1: There were no solid leads, no phone calls, no letters,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and no bank activity. Public speculation has swirled for decades,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but law enforcement has never confirmed any theory about what
- 15:49Speaker 1: really happened. Now. Julianne's disappearance left a hole in her
- 15:54Speaker 1: family's life that has never healed. Her daughter missed birthdays, milestones,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and holidays without her mom. She has spoken openly about
- 16:06Speaker 1: the pain of growing up without answers. Her family has
- 16:10Speaker 1: long believed that someone out there knows something. Someone may
- 16:16Speaker 1: hold the piece of the puzzle that explains not just
- 16:19Speaker 1: why julian left that day, but what happened to her afterward.
- 16:26Speaker 1: My opinion is that she didn't actually leave, but that's
- 16:30Speaker 1: just my theory. Nearly forty years have passed and Julianne
- 16:37Speaker 1: Cecilia Julie is still missing. Her case is still open,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and authorities continue to urge anyone with information, no matter
- 16:48Speaker 1: how small, to come forward, even after decades. A single
- 16:53Speaker 1: tip could unlock the truth. Now on screen, you'll see
- 16:58Speaker 1: Julienne's missing person put and please take a moment to
- 17:03Speaker 1: share it, spread the word and keep her memory alive.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Hashtags like hashtag find Julianne Julie can help bring new
- 17:13Speaker 1: attention to this case across social media. Julianne's story matters.
- 17:19Speaker 1: She mattered then and she matters now. Someone knows what happened,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and until answers come, her family will never stop searching. Now,
- 17:33Speaker 1: I want to thank you all for being with me
- 17:36Speaker 1: here today. Terry will be back again on Wednesday for
