Latest / Outspoken the Podcast / Sopha Dopha's Matcha Collab Fail
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Sophie Torber and coming up on today's show, taste tests
- 0:12Speaker 1: of SofaDofa's new Marcha collab go viral for the wrong reason,
- 0:17Speaker 1: Sarah's Day's pram dispute, two popular Australian influencers welcome baby
- 0:22Speaker 1: girls and Sky Wheatley denies Lockie Ward cheated with her
- 0:25Speaker 1: best friend. But first, Margot Robbie has shocked listeners with
- 0:29Speaker 1: her pronunciation of a Mexican dish and So Margot was
- 0:33Speaker 1: appearing on a UK podcast called Table Manners and it
- 0:36Speaker 1: was to promote her new movie, Weathering Heights, when she
- 0:38Speaker 1: told the hosts about one of her favourite dishes. Let's
- 0:42Speaker 1: take a listen. Do you know what bogan nachos is?
- 0:45Speaker 2: No.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So this is, by the way, I know I say
- 0:47Speaker 1: it weird. You say nachos. I say nachos and I
- 0:49Speaker 1: don't know why. Oh, we talked about nachos. Nachos.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 0:52Speaker 1: What do you call it?
- 0:53Speaker 4: Nachos.
- 0:53Speaker 1: And I don't even think all Australians do that. Okay.
- 1:01Speaker 1: But what I always thought growing up, what I thought
- 1:03Speaker 1: nachos was, was a packet of Doritos. No, first you
- 1:07Speaker 1: get the alfoil. Do you call it alfoil here or
- 1:08Speaker 1: do you call it aluminum foil? We call it just foil.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Foil.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Tin foil. Tin foil. Okay, tin foil. We call it alfoil.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You put that down on a baking tray. Packet of Doritos. Yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Tin of baked beans. Baked beans. Grated cheese. Chuck it
- 1:24Speaker 1: in the oven. Let it all melt. That's what I
- 1:26Speaker 1: thought nachos was. That's the bogan nachos. That is bogan
- 1:30Speaker 1: nachos and it is delicious. This made me feel so
- 1:34Speaker 1: much better because that's exactly how I pronounce nachos and
- 1:38Speaker 1: we have copped so much shit over it for a decade,
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'd say. Like my husband, when I first met him,
- 1:44Speaker 1: was like, what the fuck are you talking about, nachos?
- 1:47Speaker 1: That's so embarrassing. We always get slammed in our reviews
- 1:50Speaker 1: for pronouncing things wrong. I don't think a lot of
- 1:51Speaker 1: our listeners would be shocked to discover that we pronounce
- 1:53Speaker 1: nachos nachos. That bogan nachos, though, sounded amazing. I have
- 1:57Speaker 1: never had baked beans over corn chips with cheese. No,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I reckon we've got to try it and put it
- 2:02Speaker 1: up on our TikTok. It's funny because I think our
- 2:05Speaker 1: mum is to blame for a lot of our pronunciations.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Also our grandma because I think that nachos and also
- 2:12Speaker 1: it's actually so embarrassing to say but we grew up
- 2:14Speaker 1: saying tacos instead of tacos. I don't say tacos anymore.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I've converted to tacos. No, but I have realised after
- 2:21Speaker 1: watching so many UK influencers that that's how they pronounce
- 2:24Speaker 1: it in England. They say tacos. Yeah, so our grandma
- 2:26Speaker 1: was from England. I would like to know if any
- 2:29Speaker 1: other listeners have been pronouncing it nachos and whether it
- 2:31Speaker 1: makes it cooler to pronounce like that now that Margot
- 2:34Speaker 1: Robbie has admitted to it. Well, someone wrote on TikTok,
- 2:36Speaker 1: I'm an Aussie and I've never heard of that pronunciation
- 2:39Speaker 1: of nachos before.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Lol.
- 2:40Speaker 1: That's actually left me bewildered. That was liked around 500 times. Oh,
- 2:44Speaker 1: that's bad. That is so bad. Sofidofa's new marcher collaboration
- 2:51Speaker 1: with Tropicca has been dubbed the worst PR move. Taste
- 2:55Speaker 1: tests of the canned drink have been flooding TikTok with
- 2:58Speaker 1: followers saying the drink smells of fish and tastes like Play-Doh.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I mean, not favorable descriptions, Soph. The disappointing thing is
- 3:05Speaker 1: that this seemed like a really authentic collaboration at the start. Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 1: because Sophadofa has been posting about her love for matcha
- 3:12Speaker 1: for quite a long time now across her socials. And
- 3:15Speaker 1: when she announced in May last year that she was
- 3:17Speaker 1: launching her own matcha powder with Tropica, her fans got
- 3:20Speaker 1: really excited. I didn't even know she had a matcha
- 3:23Speaker 1: powder with them. I've only heard about this canned drink.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So the powder that she initially launched with Tropica was
- 3:29Speaker 1: this white chocolate beauty matcha powder. And it must have
- 3:32Speaker 1: done reasonably well because at the end of January, Sophia
- 3:36Speaker 1: announced that she was launching her very own ready to
- 3:38Speaker 1: drink can of the same flavor in 7-Eleven. Let's take
- 3:42Speaker 1: a listen to what she said.
- 3:44Speaker 5: As you guys know, I have my own march up
- 3:45Speaker 5: with Topeka. I'm so excited to announce my beauty march
- 3:49Speaker 5: with Topeka will be launching in a ready to drink
- 3:52Speaker 5: can in 7-Eleven. Like this is not real.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's not real.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Are you guys ready to see the can?
- 3:59Speaker 2: Here she is.
- 4:01Speaker 5: She then revealed that she was going to be appearing
- 4:04Speaker 5: at a local 7-Eleven to launch the drink and that
- 4:08Speaker 5: the first 30 people in line would receive a tank
- 4:11Speaker 5: top from her brand All For Mimi. So as you
- 4:14Speaker 5: can imagine.
- 4:28Speaker 1: By 7.30am, there was a massive line wrapped around the buildings.
- 4:33Speaker 1: There was so much hype about this ready to drink can.
- 4:36Speaker 1: All for a tank top. All for a tank top.
- 4:38Speaker 1: She put up this TikTok where she was filming literally
- 4:41Speaker 1: all of the girls who arrived in the said tank top.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I mean, it's no wonder this brand is doing so well.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Gen Zers love her. Well, it was a great move
- 4:48Speaker 1: for Tropicca to get Sofa Dofa on board. As you said,
- 4:52Speaker 1: she really fit the brief. Well, I mean, all Gen
- 4:53Speaker 1: Zers love to drink matcha. It's the most popular drink
- 4:56Speaker 1: for young girls at the moment. It's become my favorite
- 4:59Speaker 1: drink at the moment too. That's what I was going
- 5:01Speaker 1: to say, because you have spoken on the podcast quite
- 5:04Speaker 1: a bit about your love for matcha. How I've become
- 5:06Speaker 1: such a basic bitch.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
- 5:07Speaker 1: How did you, how do you feel about it being
- 5:09Speaker 1: in a can? I've had it in a can in Adelaide,
- 5:12Speaker 1: but this was a, this was a matcha that was
- 5:14Speaker 1: made fresh and then they put it in like one
- 5:16Speaker 1: of those clear cans. Well, because I think a lot
- 5:19Speaker 1: of these ready to drink cans are very popular in Japan.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So it's not a totally new concept, but I don't
- 5:24Speaker 1: think that anyone has launched it properly in Australia. I
- 5:27Speaker 1: really wanted to try one of these drinks, but in Adelaide,
- 5:29Speaker 1: we don't have 7-Eleven. So we actually haven't been able
- 5:31Speaker 1: to taste test. We can't actually confirm whether it tastes
- 5:35Speaker 1: like fish, like most people have been saying. I literally
- 5:38Speaker 1: wish we could get our hands on it, but we
- 5:39Speaker 1: can't because maybe someone could send it to us. I
- 5:41Speaker 1: don't know. I'm a desperate call out for sofa dofers.
- 5:44Speaker 1: canned matcha. I hardly doubt Tropicara is going to send
- 5:46Speaker 1: it to us. They probably know what we're going to say. Well,
- 5:48Speaker 1: as we touched on, her special flavor is white chocolate matcha.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Delicious.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Yep.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And it's on oat milk. So maybe that's where they
- 5:56Speaker 1: went wrong because I feel like oat milk has a
- 5:58Speaker 1: very specific taste. Oat milk tastes delicious. Well, I know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: but it's got a bit of a weird taste if
- 6:03Speaker 1: you're used to drinking full-strength milk. Oat milk has a
- 6:05Speaker 1: lot of sugar in it, a lot of the, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 1: the yummy tasting brands. Well, one of the selling points
- 6:10Speaker 1: of Sofa Dofa's matcha is that it has Japanese matcha
- 6:14Speaker 1: in it. Is it ceremonial matcha, does it say? I
- 6:16Speaker 1: don't think so because they don't say that. But when
- 6:18Speaker 1: you look at the ingredients... What, it says this is
- 6:19Speaker 1: Japanese matcha? Well, it just says Japanese. Okay. But when
- 6:23Speaker 1: you look at the back of the can, it says
- 6:24Speaker 1: it has 0.8% Japanese matcha. Shouldn't that be the main ingredient? Like, again,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I don't want to get in trouble for this. I'm
- 6:31Speaker 1: not claiming to be a matcha expert. Well, Topeka have
- 6:34Speaker 1: also launched two other flavors. They don't have Sofa Dofa's
- 6:36Speaker 1: name on it, but one of them is strawberry flavored
- 6:39Speaker 1: and everyone said it just tastes like a strawberry Nesquik. Well,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I mean, I quite like a strawberry Nesquik. Also delicious,
- 6:43Speaker 1: but like you want, if you're having a matcha, you
- 6:47Speaker 1: want to have that matcha flavor.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I mean- That seems kind of vital, doesn't it? Now,
- 6:52Speaker 1: one can will set you back $ 5. 50, which actually isn't
- 6:55Speaker 1: that expensive considering the price of drinks. When you go
- 6:59Speaker 1: to the petrol station, they're astronomical. Whereas you can get
- 7:02Speaker 1: the three pack. So you get the strawberry one. the
- 7:04Speaker 1: matcha flavor, and then her white chocolate one for $ 16. Well,
- 7:08Speaker 1: you can get it for about the same price at McDonald's. Well,
- 7:10Speaker 1: at most cafes, it will set you back about $ 8.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But I mean, a can, that's quite a small amount
- 7:15Speaker 1: of it. Anyway, when Sophia made her announcement initially, she
- 7:19Speaker 1: told her followers that she couldn't wait to see their
- 7:21Speaker 1: taste tests of the drink. I think she regrets that.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I think she should have been careful about what she
- 7:26Speaker 1: wished for because the taste tests have come rolling in.
- 7:30Speaker 1: and they were far from glowing. So a TikTok user
- 7:33Speaker 1: called Dani, who only has 470 followers, went viral when
- 7:37Speaker 1: she shared her honest review of the drink. Now in
- 7:41Speaker 1: her video, which has racked up more than 1.4 million views,
- 7:44Speaker 1: she filmed her friendship group reacting to the drink. Let's
- 7:48Speaker 1: take a listen. That is so terrible.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Oh, that's bad.
- 7:56Speaker 3: That is.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It tastes like raspberry a bit. What is this? They're
- 8:00Speaker 1: all lying.
- 8:01Speaker 5: That is so bad.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's actually disgusting.
- 8:04Speaker 5: What is that?
- 8:05Speaker 2: It doesn't even match up.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It's like Play-Doh. Yeah. This is how it was introduced
- 8:09Speaker 1: to me that Sofa Dofa had the collaboration with Tropicana.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh, my God. And you could tell
- 8:15Speaker 1: that the girls weren't trying to be mean. I think
- 8:18Speaker 1: they actually liked Sofa Dofa. I've seen other ones where
- 8:20Speaker 1: girls are like, I'm really sorry, Sofa. But it's not good.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Like it's nothing against you, but wow. Well, another TikTok
- 8:27Speaker 1: user called Eva, she filmed herself visiting her local 7-Eleven
- 8:31Speaker 1: to try the drink. And she explained that she's not
- 8:34Speaker 1: usually a fan of matcha in a can. So she
- 8:36Speaker 1: tried to give Sophia the benefit of the doubt. She
- 8:39Speaker 1: took it home, put it in a glass with ice. Unfortunately,
- 8:42Speaker 1: that didn't seem to help at all. Let's take a
- 8:45Speaker 1: listen to what she said.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I feel bad, but I really don't like them. They're
- 8:50Speaker 3: really bad.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Oh.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I don't know what's going on, but I can't smell
- 8:55Speaker 3: or taste matcha. I'm sorry, but I really don't like them.
- 8:59Speaker 3: To be fair, they are in a can and I
- 9:01Speaker 3: don't like milky drinks in a can. So maybe that's
- 9:03Speaker 3: my problem. And guys, I am a matcha girlie. I
- 9:05Speaker 3: drink matcha every single day. I make my own matches
- 9:08Speaker 3: and I just love that matcha taste, which is why
- 9:10Speaker 3: I think I drink them. And yeah, this is not
- 9:13Speaker 3: giving what I was.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Hoping it would give. I saw a lot of people
- 9:18Speaker 1: saying that it just tasted really watery, which is not
- 9:21Speaker 1: what you want. Well, this video got a huge reaction.
- 9:25Speaker 1: One user wrote, worst PR move ever. Influencers will put
- 9:28Speaker 1: their name to anything for cash at this point. Who
- 9:31Speaker 1: is even believing what influencers think? Whilst another said, I
- 9:35Speaker 1: had the Tropicca Beauty Marcher with Sofa Dofa and it
- 9:37Speaker 1: tasted straight fish, not even a hint of white chocolate.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Whilst another user said, I've not heard one good thing
- 9:45Speaker 1: about them. And I think what has made this launch
- 9:48Speaker 1: even more awkward is is the fact that Tropicca and
- 9:51Speaker 1: 7-Eleven have paid a number of large TikTokers to give
- 9:55Speaker 1: glowing reviews of the drink. How can you give an
- 9:58Speaker 1: honest review if you're being paid? I mean, of course
- 10:00Speaker 1: they're going to go, oh my God, this is delicious.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I really want to play a snippet of what TikToker
- 10:05Speaker 1: Sasha Tyers said about the new flavor. So she has
- 10:10Speaker 1: 935,000 followers on TikTok. Here's what she said.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Okay, I saved Miss Sofidofa's matcha for last because I
- 10:17Speaker 2: have high hopes for this one. Oh, yum. If you
- 10:23Speaker 2: guys like a sweet drink, in my opinion, this one's
- 10:25Speaker 2: the sweetest out of the three. They use Japanese matcha,
- 10:28Speaker 2: so the matcha tastes really smooth and delicious. If you
- 10:31Speaker 2: guys haven't tried these yet, I highly recommend.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Now, under the post, she tagged Tropicca, 7-Eleven and Sofa
- 10:37Speaker 1: Dofa and included the hashtag ad. I mean, at least
- 10:40Speaker 1: she included the hashtag ad. We could have told that
- 10:42Speaker 1: it was an ad anyway because of the glowing review.
- 10:45Speaker 1: What's even more awkward about this review, for those who
- 10:48Speaker 1: haven't seen it, is that She cut her reaction after
- 10:52Speaker 1: every sip. So it almost seemed like she, it wasn't
- 10:55Speaker 1: even palatable. Like she just didn't want her initial facial
- 10:59Speaker 1: expression response to it. Like Krusty the Clown when he's
- 11:02Speaker 1: eating the Krusty burger. I kind of feel for this
- 11:06Speaker 1: influencer because how awkward would it be? You're probably so excited.
- 11:10Speaker 1: You've got this collaboration with 7-Eleven, Sofa, Dofa and Tropicca.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And then you're like, fuck, this drink is shit. Like
- 11:17Speaker 1: what am I supposed to do? To her followers, she
- 11:21Speaker 1: looks disingenuous. Well, she looks like a bit of a
- 11:23Speaker 1: seller because people were getting stuck in in the comment section.
- 11:26Speaker 1: One user wrote, getting paid to gaslight us into thinking
- 11:29Speaker 1: it's good. Whilst another said, is this satire? Someone else said,
- 11:33Speaker 1: oh girl, I can't trust you after this. They were terrible. Well,
- 11:36Speaker 1: another creator called Raina Tennyson summed it up by sharing
- 11:39Speaker 1: a photo of her holding the can with the caption,
- 11:42Speaker 1: is everyone okay? Are you all getting paid to say
- 11:45Speaker 1: this tastes nice? Dirt tastes better. It tastes like the
- 11:47Speaker 1: supplement greens powder. Now that is an honest review there.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I don't think that that girl was paid a cent.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And that's the difficult thing for a lot of brands.
- 11:56Speaker 1: On TikTok, you're going to get a ton of honest
- 11:58Speaker 1: reviews for free. Now, so if a dover hasn't touched
- 12:02Speaker 1: on this controversy, she has preferred to ignore it. This
- 12:05Speaker 1: is despite people flooding her TikTok comment section saying how
- 12:09Speaker 1: shit the drink is because she's been putting up these
- 12:11Speaker 1: videos of her with a canned matcha and she's doing
- 12:13Speaker 1: a cream cold foam in it and all this kind
- 12:16Speaker 1: of stuff. And people are like, it tastes shit.
- 12:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: The thing is, this brand deal would have been incredibly
- 12:22Speaker 1: lucrative for Sofado for a monetary sense. But unfortunately, I
- 12:26Speaker 1: think it's damaged her overall brand because it's made a
- 12:29Speaker 1: lot of followers lose trust in her recommendations. Especially when
- 12:32Speaker 1: she gained so much respect after she cut ties from
- 12:34Speaker 1: White Fox Boutique. And that was after the brand got
- 12:37Speaker 1: accused of copying designs. Yeah, it really did help build
- 12:41Speaker 1: up her credibility and it made a lot of consumers
- 12:43Speaker 1: trust her recommendations. I mean, when you think about why
- 12:46Speaker 1: she was approached for this deal, it's one- because she
- 12:49Speaker 1: has huge influence over the Gen Z market, which clearly
- 12:53Speaker 1: Tropicca and also 7-Eleven want to get to. The other
- 12:56Speaker 1: reason is because this felt like a really genuine organic
- 12:59Speaker 1: brand deal because she loves matcha herself. The unfortunate thing
- 13:03Speaker 1: is when you put your name on a product like
- 13:06Speaker 1: this that arguably tastes no good after you have said
- 13:09Speaker 1: that you're a matcha girly and that you know a
- 13:11Speaker 1: lot about it. We haven't tried it. Well, that you've
- 13:13Speaker 1: built a personal brand about it. it makes you look
- 13:16Speaker 1: a little bit dishonest and a little bit silly.
- 13:18Speaker 6: I know.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Well, things got even worse for Sofa Dofa and Tropicca
- 13:22Speaker 1: this week when an entrepreneur called Marie posted a TikTok
- 13:25Speaker 1: accusing the influencer and health brand of stealing her concept. Yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: so she didn't actually name Tropicca or Sophia, but she
- 13:33Speaker 1: said that people could put two and two together, which
- 13:36Speaker 1: of course they did do. Now, in the video shared
- 13:39Speaker 1: to Marie's 12,000 followers, she said that she firmly believes
- 13:43Speaker 1: the influencer and brand stole her idea for a ready-to-drink matcha. Allegedly. Allegedly. Now,
- 13:49Speaker 1: she went on to explain that she reached out to
- 13:51Speaker 1: Sophia's manager in April before she had any idea that
- 13:55Speaker 1: a matcha collaboration with Tropica was in the works. Now,
- 13:59Speaker 1: Sophia's manager allegedly called Marie and said it was a
- 14:02Speaker 1: crazy coincidence that she was reaching out as Sophia was
- 14:05Speaker 1: already collaborating with another brand to bring out a matcha product. Now,
- 14:10Speaker 1: he assured her that the product was not a ready-to-drink matcha,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and he would reach back out to see if they
- 14:15Speaker 1: could work together in the space following the Tropica launch.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Why would they do that? Like, why would she want
- 14:21Speaker 1: to work with two different brands? It sounds a bit weird.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It seems like they're just trying to keep everyone happy,
- 14:26Speaker 1: doesn't it? I'll take your money and I'll also take
- 14:28Speaker 1: your money. Well, maybe they thought, oh, this is actually
- 14:31Speaker 1: a really good idea. She's onto something. Now, following the launch,
- 14:35Speaker 1: Marie says that she reached out and got ghosted by
- 14:38Speaker 1: Sophia's talent agency. So she took things into her own
- 14:41Speaker 1: hands and went to a pop-up event that Sophia was at.
- 14:44Speaker 1: So she said to Sophia, I have a business pitch
- 14:47Speaker 1: for you in the marcher space and slipped her a
- 14:49Speaker 1: handwritten note with more information. Now, a few days later,
- 14:53Speaker 1: she claims that she got a call from Sophia's manager
- 14:56Speaker 1: who said he'd love to introduce Marie to the owner
- 14:58Speaker 1: of Tropica to see if they could join forces and
- 15:02Speaker 1: work together. Now, Marie claims that she had to beg
- 15:05Speaker 1: the owner of Tropica multiple times to get on a
- 15:08Speaker 1: call with her. And when he finally did, she said
- 15:11Speaker 1: that she got bad vibes and it was clear he
- 15:14Speaker 1: wanted nothing to do with them. Marie seemed really disappointed
- 15:18Speaker 1: because she felt like this would have been a really
- 15:20Speaker 1: natural partnership between her and Tropica, particularly because she has
- 15:25Speaker 1: been working on this concept of a ready to drink
- 15:27Speaker 1: matcha for a number of years now. And she went
- 15:30Speaker 1: on to say that Tropica had never developed a product
- 15:33Speaker 1: in the ready to drink space before. So she brought
- 15:36Speaker 1: a lot to the table because she was working with
- 15:39Speaker 1: a very large company in Australia who specializes in ready
- 15:42Speaker 1: to drink beverages. She then went on to slam SofaDofa's
- 15:45Speaker 1: collaboration with Tropica saying this.
- 15:49Speaker 6: My prediction is that this won't last very long. It
- 15:52Speaker 6: has been executed very poorly. We are still working on
- 15:56Speaker 6: something great. I'm very, very, very excited about it. I
- 15:59Speaker 6: don't necessarily believe speed to market in every instance is
- 16:02Speaker 6: a great thing. I would never compromise quality for quick cash.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'm not going to stay silent.
- 16:08Speaker 6: I am a very firm believer that my idea was
- 16:11Speaker 6: taken from me. If you're watching this and you think
- 16:15Speaker 6: you did.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Not in fact copy me, Prove me wrong.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Comment down below.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Show me when you started your concept.
- 16:21Speaker 6: Prove me wrong.
- 16:23Speaker 1: That's all I have to say. Now, I just want
- 16:25Speaker 1: to reiterate that these are just allegations at this point.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Tropicca and SofaDofa are yet to respond. It doesn't seem
- 16:32Speaker 1: to be much love lost, though, between Marie and Tropicca.
- 16:35Speaker 1: She went on to accuse Tropicca of just using Sophia
- 16:38Speaker 1: to open a door to 7-Eleven. I think this is
- 16:41Speaker 1: a good opportunity for Marie. She's got a lot of
- 16:43Speaker 1: eyeballs on her content now. It sounds like she's confident
- 16:46Speaker 1: that she can execute a great marcher in a can. Well,
- 16:50Speaker 1: she actually said that this fiasco has opened the door
- 16:52Speaker 1: to a bigger opportunity for her. So she says that
- 16:56Speaker 1: she is now going to be working alongside talent that
- 16:59Speaker 1: she has to pinch herself over. Now, could she be
- 17:03Speaker 1: seeking pure revenge and possibly be working with Sarah's Day,
- 17:07Speaker 1: who was the poster girl for Trapika back in the day,
- 17:10Speaker 1: who seems to have left Trapika on bad terms. I mean,
- 17:13Speaker 1: that would be pretty hilarious. I don't think so though,
- 17:15Speaker 1: because Sarah's day isn't known for her love of March.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I've never heard her talk about it. She's got her
- 17:20Speaker 1: hydration drink, Hyro. Well, we might start seeing her slowly
- 17:24Speaker 1: integrating March into her everyday routine. I mean, she's running
- 17:27Speaker 1: a marathon. Well, she's training to run a marathon at
- 17:29Speaker 1: the moment. Maybe she needs a bit of a green
- 17:31Speaker 1: energy boost in there too. What was she known for
- 17:33Speaker 1: back in the day? It was like her long black
- 17:35Speaker 1: with almond milk. A dash of almond milk, I believe
- 17:38Speaker 1: it was. You might have to change that. Matcha with
- 17:39Speaker 1: a dash of almond milk.
- 17:41Speaker 4: He's never spoken to me again and that like kills me.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Like I'm just like, whoa.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Sky Wheatley has shut down rumours that her baby daddy,
- 17:50Speaker 1: Lockie Waugh, cheated with her best friend, Tori DeJong. Speculation
- 17:54Speaker 1: was sparked last year after Sky unfollowed the pair on
- 17:57Speaker 1: social media after confirming her split from Lockie. Now, so
- 18:01Speaker 1: Skye addressed the rumors directly on her podcast. Yeah, straight
- 18:04Speaker 1: off the bat, the episode was entitled, No, Lockie Didn't
- 18:07Speaker 1: Cheat With Skye's Best Friend. It's funny because I have
- 18:10Speaker 1: followed very closely her breakup and also her friendship feud
- 18:14Speaker 1: with Tori, and I wasn't actually aware of these rumors
- 18:17Speaker 1: at all. Really, I was. Do you know what? As
- 18:20Speaker 1: a podcaster, I would have made that a bit more clickbaity.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I would have said, Skye addresses cheating rumours. Yeah, she
- 18:25Speaker 1: gave it away pretty early. But I mean, maybe because
- 18:27Speaker 1: they're now back together, she's like, I don't want any confusion.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Then again, Skye is known for being very honest on
- 18:32Speaker 1: the podcast. He'd be like, I'm going to see what
- 18:35Speaker 1: she actually says. She's going to spill some serious tea
- 18:37Speaker 1: in this episode. It's actually a good listen. I would
- 18:39Speaker 1: recommend her podcast. Let's take a listen to what she
- 18:42Speaker 1: did say about those rumours.
- 18:45Speaker 4: We'll put it out there that no, Tori and Lockie
- 18:47Speaker 4: never had sexual relations because people were saying that.
- 18:51Speaker 1: That is wild.
- 18:52Speaker 4: And like that really obviously hurts Tori because she's one
- 18:55Speaker 4: of those people that's like, no, I'm a good person.
- 18:58Speaker 4: People need to know.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I never even considered there was cheating involved because remember
- 19:03Speaker 1: when Sky first announced that she and Lockie were breaking up,
- 19:06Speaker 1: Tori put out that video on TikTok seeming to throw
- 19:09Speaker 1: shade at Lockie because she captioned the video when you're
- 19:11Speaker 1: a girl's girl. So now I've got more beef with
- 19:13Speaker 1: her ex than she ever did. And she hashtagged it
- 19:16Speaker 1: breakup humor. And Sky even commented saying, that's my girl.
- 19:19Speaker 1: That's why I never thought there was any cheating involved. Well,
- 19:22Speaker 1: maybe people were just hoping this was another scandal like
- 19:24Speaker 1: the Lockie and Jules Neal one. I mean, we all
- 19:26Speaker 1: love a bit of a scandal. Also, Tori had broken
- 19:29Speaker 1: up with her long-term partner around the same time, so
- 19:33Speaker 1: maybe that fueled rumors more. So did Skye actually touch
- 19:36Speaker 1: on the reason why she and Tori were no longer
- 19:38Speaker 1: friends on social media? Well, initially, when we reported on
- 19:41Speaker 1: this fight, we thought that they had both unfollowed each other.
- 19:44Speaker 1: But Skye admitted that it was actually her who sort
- 19:46Speaker 1: of lashed out and blocked Tori. And she explained that
- 19:48Speaker 1: they had a masturbation. fight whilst they were on a
- 19:51Speaker 1: girl's holiday so she said that the fight took place
- 19:54Speaker 1: during an Airbnb stay on the sunny coast and as
- 19:57Speaker 1: soon as she said the sunny coast my mind was
- 20:00Speaker 1: in overdrive because I was like hold on a second
- 20:02Speaker 1: didn't she go rogue when she was at an Airbnb
- 20:05Speaker 1: stay on the sunny coast and that's when she announced
- 20:08Speaker 1: that she and Lockie had split. So it sounds like
- 20:11Speaker 1: a lot went down on this trip. Well, there were
- 20:14Speaker 1: eight kids there in total. It sounded absolutely chaotic. I
- 20:17Speaker 1: feel like that might have pushed her over the edge. Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 1: so she was there with Tori and also a girl
- 20:21Speaker 1: called Chelsea who they run their clothing brand GPA with
- 20:25Speaker 1: and a bunch of other friends were there too. And
- 20:27Speaker 1: Skye said not only was it supposed to be a
- 20:29Speaker 1: holiday with the kids but they also planned to get
- 20:31Speaker 1: work done on their brand. And she said in hindsight
- 20:35Speaker 1: she was trying to mix her social life with work
- 20:37Speaker 1: and kids, and it was never going to be a
- 20:39Speaker 1: good time because you were never going to get to
- 20:41Speaker 1: do all of those things. And I think the reason
- 20:44Speaker 1: why tensions were so high in the house was she
- 20:47Speaker 1: was going through her issues with Lockie, Tori was going
- 20:49Speaker 1: through her relationship issues with her partner, and their other
- 20:53Speaker 1: business partner, Chelsea, was going through a massive divorce. So
- 20:56Speaker 1: there was a lot of pressure on each of their
- 20:58Speaker 1: relationships at the time, and it sounds like they took
- 21:00Speaker 1: it out on each other. I found it interesting when
- 21:03Speaker 1: Sky touched on how she's better one-on-one on holiday with
- 21:06Speaker 1: a friend because I remember about 10 years ago when
- 21:08Speaker 1: she went on a US trip with Michael Finch and
- 21:11Speaker 1: also Shani Grimend and Lily Brown, she was left out
- 21:15Speaker 1: and there was this real vibe as if she was
- 21:17Speaker 1: the problem on that group trip. Well, she explained on
- 21:19Speaker 1: this podcast that she actually has a lot of deep-seated
- 21:22Speaker 1: issues with friendships, which have gone back to her primary
- 21:25Speaker 1: school days because she said she never felt like she
- 21:27Speaker 1: had that one best friend that she clicked with, which
- 21:30Speaker 1: was quite sad. I love that Skye is so honest
- 21:33Speaker 1: because she said that this argument with Tori on the
- 21:35Speaker 1: trip wasn't a little argument. It was a proper blow
- 21:38Speaker 1: up that would have been good for television. How does
- 21:40Speaker 1: Skye Wheatley not have her own reality show? Like I
- 21:43Speaker 1: know the cameras are following around the Hembrough sisters, but Skye.
- 21:46Speaker 1: so good all the fights with Lockie as well it'd
- 21:49Speaker 1: be amazing and she wouldn't even care she'd be like
- 21:51Speaker 1: yeah just air it all I'm not even gonna edit
- 21:53Speaker 1: this shit it's funny because Skye said that all of
- 21:55Speaker 1: the friends on the trip actually sided with Tori and
- 21:58Speaker 1: said that her side of events wasn't what happened but
- 22:00Speaker 1: she disagrees still and said that no what she thinks
- 22:04Speaker 1: took place took place which was quite funny she must
- 22:07Speaker 1: have really blown up though for people to take sides
- 22:09Speaker 1: it is the worst though because Poor thing. She's going
- 22:12Speaker 1: through this marriage breakup. Obviously, Tori is too. Tensions are high.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I'm sure the kids are probably misbehaving. I feel like
- 22:18Speaker 1: there was probably a bit of misplaced aggression happening on
- 22:20Speaker 1: the trip and they're all taking it out on each other.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Let's take a listen to what she said about the fight. Basically,
- 22:26Speaker 1: massive miscommunication. We were all going through shit.
- 22:28Speaker 4: It was a fucking hectic time with all the kids
- 22:31Speaker 4: trying to work with GPA.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Why did they ever think this trip was a good idea?
- 22:35Speaker 1: It's one of those things that should have stayed in
- 22:37Speaker 1: the group chat. All the partners were like, yeah, go.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Take the kids with you. Well, luckily for Sky, her
- 22:42Speaker 1: and Tori overcame this massive blow up and she said
- 22:45Speaker 1: that she thinks they're going to be friends for life. Well,
- 22:47Speaker 1: it was actually Tori who fought for the friendship. After
- 22:50Speaker 1: Sky blocked her, she said that Tori and Chelsea rocked
- 22:52Speaker 1: up at her house and wanted to make things right
- 22:54Speaker 1: with her. That is good because sometimes if you're on
- 22:57Speaker 1: social media, you can be so immature blocking people and
- 23:00Speaker 1: then you realise when you talk to the person, oh, actually,
- 23:02Speaker 1: maybe I fucked up here. It's interesting because even though
- 23:05Speaker 1: they're friends again, Sky did drop that they are considering
- 23:09Speaker 1: selling their clothing brand or shutting the business down completely
- 23:12Speaker 1: because They just don't have time to do it all
- 23:15Speaker 1: and it's becoming increasingly difficult. I wonder if they're also
- 23:18Speaker 1: trying to avoid any more big blow-ups like this. A
- 23:20Speaker 1: lot of influencer apparel brands are shutting down. We've spoken
- 23:23Speaker 1: about it before. I just think that there are so
- 23:25Speaker 1: many around. Yeah, it's oversaturation. Complete oversaturation. I think they
- 23:29Speaker 1: all think it's going to be really easy.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I mean, if you look at Sammy Robinson, who's obviously
- 23:34Speaker 1: had huge success with her brand One Mile, that's because
- 23:37Speaker 1: she's actually turned that into her full-time job. She's got
- 23:40Speaker 1: all of their focus. It's also because that would be
- 23:42Speaker 1: a standalone brand without Sammy. I actually really like Sky's
- 23:46Speaker 1: stuff though. So I don't necessarily think she should just
- 23:48Speaker 1: get rid of it, but it might be something they
- 23:50Speaker 1: put on pause. Well, it's hard if they're all looking
- 23:52Speaker 1: after their kids full time as well.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Well, Sky also opened up about her friendship bust up
- 23:57Speaker 1: with Michael Finch. I was hanging out for this because
- 24:00Speaker 1: I've always wondered what actually went down between the two
- 24:03Speaker 1: of them. Because they're still not friends, are they? Well, no. So-
- 24:07Speaker 1: Sky opened up about this because she said that she
- 24:09Speaker 1: was reflecting on the fallout with Tori and she said
- 24:12Speaker 1: that she needs to be more mature when it comes
- 24:14Speaker 1: to blocking friends. But basically her friendship breakdown with Michael
- 24:18Speaker 1: Finch a number of years ago has made her quicker
- 24:21Speaker 1: to put her walls up and just block people. This
- 24:24Speaker 1: is what she said.
- 24:25Speaker 4: And he cut me off completely. He's never spoken to
- 24:29Speaker 4: me again. And that like kills me. Like, I'm just like, whoa.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Like, I feel like that's the ultimate, like I'm fucking done.
- 24:37Speaker 4: I've had my, I'm at my wit's end.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But like, when did, when did you get to that point?
- 24:41Speaker 4: Now I feel like I used that and I'm like done.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Cause I know how much it hurt me.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I would love to know what this fight was actually about.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I know Sky. Can you tell us in the next episode?
- 24:52Speaker 1: Because I mean, you're so honest. I did like the
- 24:54Speaker 1: little tidbit, but yes, I actually want to know what
- 24:56Speaker 1: the fight was over. It almost seems like she wants
- 24:59Speaker 1: to be friends with Michael again. And this is a
- 25:01Speaker 1: bit of a cry for help for Michael to reach
- 25:03Speaker 1: out or unblock her. Yeah, because listening to her speak,
- 25:05Speaker 1: it seems like this fallout with Michael Finch has really
- 25:08Speaker 1: impacted her and she's still very hurt over it. This week,
- 25:13Speaker 1: two popular Australian influencers welcomed baby girls. The first was
- 25:17Speaker 1: podcaster Chloe Fisher, who was married to famous DJ Paul Fisher.
- 25:21Speaker 1: So the couple announced the arrival of their second daughter
- 25:24Speaker 1: in a joint Instagram post. They shared a selection of
- 25:26Speaker 1: photos from the birth with the caption, the most beautiful,
- 25:29Speaker 1: soft and healing labor, a room full of love, the
- 25:32Speaker 1: most perfect way to meet our beautiful baby girl. This
- 25:35Speaker 1: post has gone off at the time of recording. It
- 25:38Speaker 1: has over 384,000 likes. That is massive, even for big influencers.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I mean, as you can imagine, there are a lot
- 25:46Speaker 1: of blue ticks amongst those likes. They included Indy Clinton.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Brooke Hogan, Ames, Steph Clare-Smith, Tammy Hembro, as well as
- 25:53Speaker 1: Jacinta Franklin. I mean, the fanfare does make sense when
- 25:56Speaker 1: you consider that Paul has over 2 million followers and
- 25:59Speaker 1: Chloe has almost 600,000. I mean, just for everyday people
- 26:03Speaker 1: as well, a baby announcement is your most liked post.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I also think the reaction has been so big and
- 26:09Speaker 1: positive because Chloe really opened up about her struggles with infertility.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So she spoke in great length on her podcast and
- 26:15Speaker 1: also in her memoir about her difficult path to conceive.
- 26:19Speaker 1: She revealed that she suffered four miscarriages, underwent eight rounds
- 26:22Speaker 1: of IVF and had multiple surgeries. So this really is
- 26:26Speaker 1: amazing news. It is beautiful news. We need to talk
- 26:28Speaker 1: about the name. I love diving into an influencer's baby's
- 26:32Speaker 1: name because they're never straightforward. So the baby girl is
- 26:35Speaker 1: called Andy Bloom Fisher. I really like the name Andy.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I think it's really cute. Andy is spelt with an
- 26:42Speaker 1: I at the end. So it's just A-N-D-I. Interestingly, her
- 26:46Speaker 1: older sister is called Bobby Marie, which is spelled B-O-B-B-I
- 26:51Speaker 1: as well. So people are saying, is this a bit
- 26:53Speaker 1: of a branding exercise? If it is, she's nailed it.
- 26:56Speaker 1: So she's done a Victoria Beckham and she's already secured
- 26:58Speaker 1: the rights to their names? Well, potentially. I mean, the
- 27:01Speaker 1: I's at the end. It's a cute little touch, isn't it? Now,
- 27:03Speaker 1: the other influencer who shared her baby news this week was,
- 27:07Speaker 1: of course, Nikki Westcott. So she gave birth to another girl,
- 27:10Speaker 1: a daughter on Sunday. To me, this is very rare
- 27:13Speaker 1: because in our friendship group, everyone is having boys.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 27:15Speaker 1: It's crazy. I didn't even think that baby girls existed
- 27:18Speaker 1: at this point. It's quite ironic because both of these influencers'
- 27:21Speaker 1: girls actually have unisex names as Andy and Nikki has
- 27:26Speaker 1: given birth to a Raffa, which I love. I am
- 27:29Speaker 1: obsessed with this name. I actually said to Brandon, I
- 27:32Speaker 1: love the name Raffa for a boy when we were
- 27:34Speaker 1: coming up with names, but I kind of felt like
- 27:36Speaker 1: I wasn't cool enough. to pull off having a son
- 27:39Speaker 1: called Rapha. One of my friends has a son called
- 27:40Speaker 1: Rapha and it is so cute. I mean, it's probably
- 27:42Speaker 1: because we love Raphael Nadal. Well, yeah, that's why. The
- 27:45Speaker 1: thing is I like Rapha, but I don't like Raphael.
- 27:47Speaker 1: So that's why I was like, hmm. Yeah. Now in
- 27:50Speaker 1: the lead up to this pregnancy, Nikki did prank her
- 27:53Speaker 1: followers with a gender reveal that ended up being a
- 27:55Speaker 1: Black Friday sale. We spoke about this at the time.
- 27:58Speaker 1: But she didn't actually find out the gender until the
- 28:00Speaker 1: day of the birth.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 28:02Speaker 1: For some reason, she just had girl vibes over her.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I thought she'd have a girl. Yeah, that's the thing.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Everyone kept guessing that she was going to have a girl.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I think because she's such a girl's girl, everyone said
- 28:11Speaker 1: it just made sense for her to have a girl. Now,
- 28:13Speaker 1: she shared the news in a joint post with her husband,
- 28:15Speaker 1: Ollie Frost, and they shared a selection of photos from
- 28:18Speaker 1: the birth with the caption, The night our lives changed forever.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Meeting our baby girl, Rafa Frost. She arrived mermaid style
- 28:25Speaker 1: on the 8th of February, weighing 3.78 kilos with a
- 28:28Speaker 1: head full of hair. What an honour to be chosen
- 28:30Speaker 1: as your parents. It was a really beautiful main photo
- 28:33Speaker 1: of the three of them together. Nikki looked stunning. Like
- 28:36Speaker 1: giving birth, I was like, how do you look this cool?
- 28:38Speaker 1: She's just so fucking cool as well. Like in the last...
- 28:41Speaker 1: photo of this photo dump. She was using the iconic
- 28:44Speaker 1: hospital baby blanket, you know, the pink and yellow one
- 28:47Speaker 1: as a towel for her head. And I just thought,
- 28:49Speaker 1: why didn't I think of that? That's really cool. What
- 28:51Speaker 1: do you mean? Like she'd washed her hair and she
- 28:53Speaker 1: washed her hair and wrapped it up in the baby blanket.
- 28:55Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. It was really cute to see Lucy
- 28:57Speaker 1: Jackson's reaction to Rafa being born. So she shared a
- 29:01Speaker 1: reel of her meeting Rafa with the caption, it was
- 29:03Speaker 1: you all along Rafa, our little party girl. Couldn't be
- 29:06Speaker 1: more in awe of Nick. Can't wait to teach you
- 29:08Speaker 1: things and watch you grow. So proud to be your auntie.
- 29:11Speaker 1: That's very cute. Sarah's day has been left shaken after
- 29:16Speaker 1: a dispute broke out over the right of way on
- 29:18Speaker 1: the footpath. The OG fitness influencer was pushing her one-year-old
- 29:22Speaker 1: son in a pram when the confrontation unfolded, Amy. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 1: Sarah was visibly shaken in this video. So she was
- 29:29Speaker 1: just out with her son Harlow and her dog Abby
- 29:31Speaker 1: walking to her coffee shop nearby her house. When she
- 29:34Speaker 1: was confronted by a woman, let's have a listen to
- 29:37Speaker 1: what Sarah said. Two minutes ago.
- 29:40Speaker 7: We were just walking down to get a little coffee,
- 29:43Speaker 7: a little treat for the park. And I see a
- 29:45Speaker 7: lady walking up towards me.
- 29:47Speaker 1: She has a dog. I have my dog.
- 29:49Speaker 7: So I pull Abby as close to me as I can.
- 29:51Speaker 7: And I try to make us a little bundle and
- 29:53Speaker 7: I move to the left. She somewhat moves to her left,
- 29:58Speaker 7: but her dog gets tangled in my dog.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I think nothing of it. I go, oops, sorry.
- 30:01Speaker 7: I like kind of pull Abby away and I keep
- 30:03Speaker 7: walking and she turns around and yells at me and says,
- 30:07Speaker 7: take up the whole path next time. Genuinely, at first
- 30:10Speaker 7: I thought she was joking until I turned around to
- 30:11Speaker 7: see her face and she was angry. She was stopped
- 30:15Speaker 7: in the middle of the path. Like she was ready
- 30:17Speaker 7: to battle it out.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And I said, I have a pram.
- 30:20Speaker 7: She was not having it. She was adamant. I was
- 30:23Speaker 7: taking up the whole path.
- 30:25Speaker 1: So the woman ended up calling Sarah an idiot. Sarah
- 30:28Speaker 1: said she was shocked and just mustered up the courage
- 30:30Speaker 1: to say that the woman should go home and have
- 30:32Speaker 1: a coffee and relax. This incident took place just two
- 30:35Speaker 1: houses down from her own home. This is horrible. I
- 30:39Speaker 1: felt really sorry for Sarah because you're a mum, you're
- 30:43Speaker 1: out with your kid and your dog. You don't expect
- 30:45Speaker 1: people to be so rude. I mean, it's really hard
- 30:48Speaker 1: to manoeuvre a pram and a dog. It's really tough.
- 30:50Speaker 1: And the fact is, She clearly did move to the
- 30:52Speaker 1: side to let this woman through. Even if she didn't,
- 30:54Speaker 1: who cares? I mean, I'm sorry, if you've got a child,
- 30:57Speaker 1: like a young baby and a dog, just let it
- 31:00Speaker 1: go through. If anything, this woman should have given right
- 31:03Speaker 1: of way to Sarah. Well, Sarah said this incident occurred
- 31:05Speaker 1: right where some tradies were working and some of them
- 31:07Speaker 1: actually yelled at the woman and were like, leave her alone.
- 31:10Speaker 1: So it shows how intense this argument actually was. It
- 31:15Speaker 1: just blows my mind that you would abuse someone that
- 31:19Speaker 1: has a pram with a young baby inside. Like what
- 31:22Speaker 1: is wrong with this person? Yeah, it would have been
- 31:24Speaker 1: one of those moments where your heart just absolutely dropped
- 31:27Speaker 1: because in this instance, it sounded like Sarah did absolutely
- 31:30Speaker 1: nothing wrong. Like this woman was clearly having a terrible
- 31:33Speaker 1: day and Sarah said that she hates confrontation. So like
- 31:36Speaker 1: her hands were shaking. Like she was so upset and
- 31:39Speaker 1: she said to her TikTok followers, this is a reminder
- 31:41Speaker 1: for everyone just to be nice and you don't know
- 31:44Speaker 1: what people are going through in their day. Do you
- 31:45Speaker 1: reckon that this woman was like, oh, fuck, another influencer.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Get out of the way. You're taking up all the room.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I wonder if Sarah was vlogging at the time or
- 31:52Speaker 1: on her phone. When I saw this TikTok, I thought initially, oh,
- 31:56Speaker 1: has someone just abused Sarah's day on the street? Like,
- 31:58Speaker 1: is this a hater? I don't even think the woman
- 32:00Speaker 1: knew who she was. Gosh, it all sounds very awkward.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I think that is all we have time for today.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Thank you so much for joining us for this episode. Unfortunately,
- 32:08Speaker 1: Kate could not take part because she was trying to
- 32:11Speaker 1: record remotely today and she left her SD card. Back
- 32:15Speaker 1: at our studio here. I mean, anytime I'm never in it.
- 32:17Speaker 1: You guys never explain where I was. I fainted last week.
- 32:21Speaker 1: I've discovered I have really low iron. So I've actually
- 32:24Speaker 1: got these supplements. It sounds like I'm advertising something.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I've bought these. Is this something you're bringing out with Tropica? Yeah. No,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I saw a lot of people recommending beef liver capsules
- 32:34Speaker 1: for people who don't eat a lot of meat. And
- 32:36Speaker 1: I haven't eaten red meat. I can't even remember the
- 32:38Speaker 1: last time I had red meat. It was probably like
- 32:40Speaker 1: 30 years ago. Gosh, with that age as me. But
- 32:44Speaker 1: And anyway, I'm going to give it a go. I've
- 32:45Speaker 1: also got an iron infusion coming up. I think that
- 32:48Speaker 1: will make you feel better.
- 32:49Speaker 6: Yes.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Well, we didn't mention it because we weren't sure if
- 32:51Speaker 1: you wanted everyone to know about it. It's like sort
- 32:53Speaker 1: of private medical information. No, well, my blood test came
- 32:56Speaker 1: back as being, I think on the ferritin levels, it
- 32:58Speaker 1: was six. It's meant to be between 30 and 180.
- 33:00Speaker 1: So pretty low. Not to be that person and act
- 33:03Speaker 1: like I'm a hero, but my iron levels used to
- 33:05Speaker 1: be negative something like it was so low that it
- 33:08Speaker 1: wasn't even recording and the doctor's like are you okay
- 33:10Speaker 1: i was like would you like me to get you
- 33:11Speaker 1: some of these captures maybe that would be good well
- 33:14Speaker 1: on that note i think that is all we have
- 33:15Speaker 1: time for today thank you for joining us if you
- 33:17Speaker 1: have enjoyed it could you please leave us a five
- 33:19Speaker 1: star review yeah we would really appreciate that because it
- 33:22Speaker 1: helps the podcast grow and also share where you're listening
- 33:25Speaker 1: from i haven't seen them for a while they always
- 33:26Speaker 1: make my day if you're out on your walk hopefully
- 33:28Speaker 1: it's not as confrontational as sarah's day's walk fingers crossed Now,
- 33:32Speaker 1: this episode was recorded on the traditional land of the
- 33:34Speaker 1: Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to
