- 0:26What are we here for? What do you truly want?
- 0:34When change is not enough, what do you do?
- 0:46Let's talk about it. The Proms we face.
- 0:50Let's fight hatred. No down ways the mind is naked.
- 0:57We can see it without an X-ray. Life is easy if we work
- 1:05together. We are the keepers, we are the
- 1:08people. We are all equal, filled with
- 1:10purpose. The past has pain.
- 1:14It'll drive you, even make you take aim.
- 1:18But together is where we should aim.
- 1:23Together is where we should. What are we here for?
- 1:31What do you truly want? When change is night and night,
- 1:40what do you do? The welcome back to another
- 2:29edition of the Be Forever Cool podcast.
- 2:31My name is Rex 45 and what an exciting weekend at Le Mans.
- 2:37Can't wait to chop it up with the fellas.
- 2:39It's going to be a good show tonight.
- 2:40Very excited about that. Like always want to take thank
- 2:43the listeners, the subscribers, the folks that are engaging and
- 2:47commenting. We really appreciate it.
- 2:50You're checking us. You're sometimes telling us
- 2:52we're right, sometime telling us, you know, we might not know
- 2:56what we're talking about, but you know, it's always good to
- 2:59read the comments. So we really appreciate it.

- 3:12And that helps with your support.
- 3:14So we are looking forward to it and we want to thank the folks
- 3:17that are already subscribed. Really appreciate it.
- 3:21Definitely check out Woodcraft as well.
- 3:23Mention Rexy 45 or actually Rexy and help support Woodcraft.
- 3:29Help support us, you know, and get some really cool race parts,
- 3:34St. parts 'cause you know, before my second R6, you know, I
- 3:38had race parts on it while I was still riding on the streets and
- 3:41I'd even seen a few people running around the streets on
- 3:44slicks. I wouldn't recommend it, but if
- 3:46you are going to run slicks, check out my guy down in
- 3:50Florida, Mark 10 Motorsports and I guess some Pirelli tires as
- 3:55well 'cause it's a good thing to buy from a fellow Jamaican and
- 4:00also, you know, Prole tires are one of the best tires out there.
- 4:04I'm a big fan. I run them all my bikes, street
- 4:05bikes and race bikes. I think that's it.
- 4:09Go to beeffabricool.com and sign up for the mailing list.
- 4:15And if you're going to be at Barber this weekend, say what's
- 4:17up and let's take a photo. My name is Rex 45.
- 4:21Let's get this thing going, DJ. Man, welcome to the show.
- 4:25How you doing tonight, man? Oh.
- 4:27I can't complain, you know, each week like I mentioned, we got
- 4:30racing to watch and I'm excited to talk about this French Grand
- 4:35Prix. Lamar's is an exciting 1, so
- 4:40other than that, I know we always talk sports so it was
- 4:43good to see the team that we lost.
- 4:45You just get swept out of the way, you know, no, no hard, no
- 4:49foul stuff. Man, listen, man, I, I, I was
- 4:52going to bring it up and you, you brought it up and I got you.
- 4:56It's it's, it's one of those things and you know, I'm going
- 4:58to wait because I know Reese has something to say, but we're
- 5:02going to see what he said because remember what he said
- 5:03last week. But it's tough though.
- 5:05It's tough to, you know, be up three O and have a team come
- 5:09back and beat you and they lose 40.
- 5:11I mean it it makes it it you know what I'm saying that that
- 5:14coach of the year trophy and all the accolades, you know,
- 5:18especially your team that should be going to the the
- 5:20championship. It's it's tough, but none
- 5:23nonetheless. We got motorcycle racing to talk
- 5:26about. So let's keep this thing moving.
- 5:28Reese, man, welcome to the show, man.
- 5:30How you doing tonight man? What's going on man?
- 5:34Can't complain, just finish up another.
- 5:36Trying to finish our work to get the Barber.
- 5:39Man, I'll, I'll, I'll see you in Barbara.
- 5:41Yeah, man. Yeah.
- 5:42You know, any comments about your team?
- 5:44And you know, I mean, you know, what do you, what do you, what
- 5:46do you, what do you guys talk about when this happens?
- 5:49Not a damn thing at this time. You just call it a loss.
- 5:52That was a ass whooping in the half.
- 5:53That's all you can pretty much do is call that an ass whooping.
- 5:57So it's nothing to say, you know, the better team won.
- 6:00One team has to win, one team has to lose, you know, so
- 6:03nothing you can do. No, I hear that.
- 6:06I hear that, man. Excited.
- 6:08Were you excited about the Moto GP race this past weekend?
- 6:11Did it add up? Oh, yeah.
- 6:13Oh, yeah. I was definitely excited.
- 6:15It was definitely something to look forward to.
- 6:18It was nice to see Aprilia do a lockout, so we'll talk about
- 6:22that. And it was nice to see some
- 6:24different, some different faces, you know?
- 6:27Yes, indeed. We're going to talk about it.
- 6:30Lewis, man, welcome to the show. How you doing tonight?
- 6:32So you got that mute button on. So I'll give you a second to
- 6:36talk about that. You did not get ADNF this
- 6:38weekend. We're going to talk about the
- 6:39points so at the end of the show.
- 6:41So it's going to be crazy. How you doing tonight man?
- 6:43This weekend was bullshit man. They told me it was going to
- 6:46Rain Man. My friends can kiss my ass, but
- 6:51not raining. I think there was some writers
- 6:55that might have been disappointed that it didn't
- 6:57rain. Man killed me, bro killed me
- 7:01this weekend. Yeah, it, it, you know, it
- 7:05killed you and it almost killed some of the Moto 3 riders 'cause
- 7:08they were going down like. Yeah, I was like, I was like,
- 7:11this day's like this. It's going to be a good weekend
- 7:13for me. You know it's.
- 7:15Sunny. I'm like, yeah, damn it.
- 7:18Just dry it out. Dry it out.
- 7:20So how was your week other than that?
- 7:22It was good. I was good.
- 7:23Last week I was on a Cali doing some other work.
- 7:27Good stuff that hopefully we'll see in the next couple months.
- 7:31Really cool projects. I got to visit my my boy Felipe
- 7:35and Jeremiah over at big time, so I'm going to give a shout out
- 7:39to them. I haven't seen them in person in
- 7:42the minute. Especially Felipe, man, I love
- 7:44that dude. He's the best.
- 7:47Love doing any kind of work with him.
- 7:49He's just just a super chill guy and somebody I enjoy just
- 7:54talking to, hanging out with and shooting the the breeze.
- 7:58You know, we're into cars, we're into bikes into like, you know,
- 8:02similar types of deals. So it's just cool hanging out.
- 8:05And then now I'm back and super busy week traveling quite a bit.
- 8:10I'll be at Barber for a little bit of this weekend.
- 8:15So I'm looking forward to seeing my guys, seeing the racers
- 8:18saying hi to a bunch of people that I didn't see at the last
- 8:20round and and kind of, you know, get these guys back up and
- 8:24racing. It's been a while since the
- 8:26hooligans have been out there since Daytona, So it's good to
- 8:29see them back out there. So I'm looking forward to a good
- 8:32weekend. I you know, I looked everything
- 8:35looks set for Barber man looks like it's going to be a good
- 8:37weekend. So that's where I'm at.
- 8:39That's. What's up?
- 8:40No rain in the forecast. Nah, looks sunny.
- 8:43I mean, I'm bringing shorts. So.
- 8:47And you know, I hardly ever bring shorts, so you see these
- 8:51knees out. The weather's real good.
- 8:53Oh. God.
- 8:56I'm not even going to touch that.
- 8:57It's too early in the show. Leave that one alone.
- 9:02Leave it alone. TJ man, what's good, man?
- 9:06You know, I think I was on it and I think I know for sure I
- 9:09said in the past that Martine is like, you know, is like Lorenzo
- 9:15when they get out from. And what do you think of Martine
- 9:17this weekend in his riding? Man, he was spectacular.
- 9:24I mean, I don't think, I mean, we know that he's improving each
- 9:28round and he's basically running for the championship.
- 9:32But, you know, I didn't expect for him to do what he did at at
- 9:37the French Grand Prix just to be that confident and the moves
- 9:41that he made and especially so early.
- 9:46But yeah, he's riding a spectacular, you know, he he's
- 9:49the spring Kings for, for what we know before he won the
- 9:52championship. But to win back-to-back, you
- 9:56know, that's pretty special. No doubt, no doubt.
- 10:01Reese man, last week, you know, I talked about what Ducati had
- 10:04to do. Were you surprised that back now
- 10:08you're qualified well was doing well and it didn't crash out?
- 10:14You know, would that be a success for him like, you know,
- 10:17Rd., you know, road to recovery or is it, you know, you think
- 10:20it's like a one off like last year in in in Motegi.
- 10:25I mean, no, you can call it like 5050.
- 10:28I mean, he had a successful Sprint race, you know, it looked
- 10:33like he had a lot of, you know, some finally had some front end
- 10:36field. So and I was glad to see him up
- 10:40there. Sad to see him crash out in the
- 10:42race, but I think it, you know, I think it does show he still
- 10:46is, you know, potential rider. He's still a great rider.
- 10:50He still can ride. He just got to figure out that
- 10:54front end because that's clearly everything I hear him complain
- 10:57about at the front end. Everything you hear him complain
- 10:59is it's the front end field. And if you look at the the race
- 11:03and that front end just washed quick, it was gone and so.
- 11:07Bro, this is the most upset I've seen Petco after he he got back
- 11:13to the box and was going now it looked like he just kind of let
- 11:17loose on them. You think that's a good thing
- 11:20for him to do that if warranted? I mean, we, we, we saw the
- 11:23crash, but it's different, you know, being a viewer versus
- 11:27being on the bike. And he, I mean, he, he looked
- 11:30like, you know, he could have still got on a podium and, you
- 11:32know. It's like he still could have
- 11:34got on the podium. I mean, he's an emotional.
- 11:37It shows his emotions. It shows that he wants to do
- 11:40well. He wants to be upfront.
- 11:43He did very, like I said, he did very well on the Sprint.
- 11:45So it shows that the the guy can still ride and he, you know,
- 11:49since last year, he's always and he just has been complaining
- 11:52about the front end field. So it's got to be something up
- 11:55with he can't feel the front end.
- 11:57I mean, we all know a lot of people don't like Michelin, you
- 12:01know, AKA Lewis over there. He doesn't like Michelin.
- 12:04So but he just have been complaining about that front end
- 12:09field that he can't feel anything.
- 12:10It doesn't let him know any, any kind of signs when that front
- 12:15end wants to give out, you know, so and I've, I've heard riders
- 12:19say that before where they can't feel it.
- 12:21And when they can't feel it, it's, it's, it's nothing there.
- 12:24It's like riding on air. Right, right.
- 12:28Yeah, Now it it, it. I was rooting for him, but good
- 12:31to see I didn't have him on my pick, but for him to get a pole
- 12:36position, even though Mark had that blistering QLQ one time,
- 12:41right. I think he got he Mark came out
- 12:43of Q1 right, if membership correctly.
- 12:46Lewis, man, what are your thoughts on Martine, you know,
- 12:49going from what 7/8 to 1st place in two corners and and running
- 12:54the way he's running. I mean, do you feel the what do
- 12:57you think about that? And I got a follow up question.
- 13:01I think the Prelia bike is is now the bike to beat.
- 13:04I mean, it's been gaining dominance since the middle of
- 13:08last year after the summer break and after this streak of just
- 13:12Aprilia's winning, Aprilia's dominating.
- 13:15Aprilia's being on the box all the time.
- 13:18This just goes to show that Aprilia is definitely the bite
- 13:21to beat. Martine is lucky that Aprilia
- 13:24kept him because right now he'd be on a ship box and not
- 13:27enjoying the success he's enjoying.
- 13:31And I'm looking forward to him getting off Aprilia and getting
- 13:33on a ship box and not enjoying the success that he's enjoying
- 13:36because he made that team look really bad.
- 13:39And even though he's making the team look good now, he's still,
- 13:43you know, kind of put them through hell.
- 13:44So I'm kind of looking forward to him not being with Aprilia,
- 13:47to be honest with you. Wow, wow.
- 13:49OK, OK. And, and do you think that, you
- 13:54know, I, I, I feel you on that and him not being there next
- 13:57year? I think it's bittersweet, but it
- 13:59the relationship is tarnished and so forth.
- 14:02You think if he figures out, you know he was gracious in the in
- 14:07post post press conference saying that you know Bez is the
- 14:11better rider. You think if he starts to
- 14:13qualify better that goes out the window?
- 14:16No, I still think Bez is the better rider.
- 14:19I mean Bez is had has more experience on this particular
- 14:23bike than anybody else. He helped kind of develop the
- 14:26bike to what it is and I still think he's the better rider.
- 14:29I think he's super consistent, you know, outside of his Sprint
- 14:34crashes that he's had when it comes to race day, he's he's
- 14:38chose that he's consistent. He shows that he's really come
- 14:42into this season from people that are around him with a
- 14:46mentality of a champion, you know, very, very focused, not
- 14:49really doing the things that other people do, doing his media
- 14:53duties and everything he has to do.
- 14:54But when he's not doing media duties or signing autographs,
- 14:58he's 100% in the moment. Trying to win a championship
- 15:01like that is 100% his goal this year.
- 15:04And several people that know him, that are close to him have
- 15:07told me his attitude this year is completely different than the
- 15:10attitude that he's ever had in any of the series that he's
- 15:13raced or in any other classes that he raced, any other bikes
- 15:16that he's raced. Like he really comes into this
- 15:18year thinking this is his opportunity to be a champion.
- 15:21Right, right, All right, man, we're going to see man.
- 15:24I, I, I hope so. I'm rooting.
- 15:25I'm rooting. Well, I'm rooting for a poll.
- 15:26You, I mean, we finished one 2-3 in the main race.
- 15:30I think I was the only person that picked that.
- 15:32So I, I'm, I'm, I'm ecstatic, TJ, man.
- 15:36Well, actually all you guys, you know, what are your thoughts?
- 15:40I don't know if Reese or, or Lewis ever got a chance to go to
- 15:44Lamont's to, to take in the GP race, but what are your thoughts
- 15:48on their, their French National Grand Prix?
- 15:51I mean, national anthem and just the crowd singing along with it,
- 15:56which is pretty cool. Now that that place is their
- 16:01places are amazing. I mean they host what, 24 hour
- 16:05events? So, you know, I'm sure that they
- 16:08bring their tenants. We see it all the time, but to
- 16:11have the fans involved like that, it's like you can feel
- 16:14like the chills through your body and it's just a it's just a
- 16:18good feeling that they're all in tune and, you know, watching
- 16:22what's on the track. Yeah, yeah, man, it was pretty
- 16:26wild to see. I mean, I saw a thing from
- 16:28Zarko. He's like, Nah, man, I'm not.
- 16:29I don't sleep at the track. I stay in the hotel on the
- 16:32further side away from the track recently.
- 16:35Your thoughts on we need to have that everywhere.
- 16:37Everybody's singing the the national anthem, huh?
- 16:41I mean, it was nice because you, you actually see the crowd
- 16:44participation, you see the crowd's energy involved in it.
- 16:47And that's real nice because they're, they're fans of the,
- 16:50you know, they're fans, you know, they enjoy the sport, they
- 16:53enjoy the atmosphere, you know, and it, it, it just makes the
- 16:57sport more enjoyable. It makes the actual race day
- 16:59more enjoyable when the fans are actually involved and, and you
- 17:02know, committed to what's going on.
- 17:05So, and not just there just to be there, they're actually there
- 17:09to enjoy it. You know it's more enjoyable
- 17:11when the fans are actually enjoying it.
- 17:14Yeah, no, I I agree. I'm, I'm hoping I can do the
- 17:17world tour and get to all of them.
- 17:19Louis, what are your thoughts, man?
- 17:20You know, I know you might probably bring up Austin saying
- 17:22we probably need to get our crowd up before 'cause, you
- 17:25know, you can't have a auditorium without voices in it.
- 17:28If I had a if I had a hat on, I would tip it to the crowd at
- 17:32Lamont's. Incredible crowd and you know
- 17:36you had a good event when you immediately released the
- 17:38spectator numbers because we are in currently in May and we still
- 17:44don't have the spectator numbers for CODA yet.
- 17:46We have the spectator numbers for every other event they've
- 17:48done this year. So that tells me that CODA
- 17:51numbers were shit this year or still in that 120 to 125,000
- 17:55range, which is the same range we've been in for years now.
- 17:59Like we have not exceeded that 118 to 125 range and that's over
- 18:04the three days. So combined over three days, 120
- 18:09to 125,000, 300,000 plus spectators at Le Mans, 112,000
- 18:15just on Sunday. That's participation.
- 18:19So this whole thing with Liberty Media wanting to do a Moto GP
- 18:23event in Miami, when you can't get people to go to the number
- 18:27one track in the country in the US, now you're just going to
- 18:32split that crowd in half. You're not going to get more
- 18:34people to go to Miami. Miami sucks to go see a race.
- 18:37I've been there to see Formula One.
- 18:40The event around Formula One is great.
- 18:42Watching Formula One in Miami is the worst thing you can possibly
- 18:45do really. So I.
- 18:48Mean, yeah, I mean. The events around Formula One
- 18:51are fun, but actually going to the race sucks.
- 18:56Right, But you're, you're, you're a seasoned racegoer
- 18:59veteran. I mean, for, you know, the, the,
- 19:02the glimmering lights, the flashing lights, I mean, they,
- 19:05they're, they're, they're going to come out and thinking they're
- 19:07having a great time, 'cause I mean, it is like the Koda.
- 19:10There's nothing around Koda. At least you're in Miami.
- 19:13If you're a. Content, There's nothing in it.
- 19:15If you're a content creator, if you're only fans, model Formula
- 19:19One in Miami, Moto GP in Miami, that's the place for you to go.
- 19:22And I know. But you're an actual fan to
- 19:24watch the race is not. It's going to be 10 times more
- 19:28expensive than going Dakota. The hotels all around Miami in
- 19:32that area are going to Jack you through the roof.
- 19:34Car rental is going to be through the roof.
- 19:36Everything's going to be 4 or five times more expensive than
- 19:39going to to Dakota to watch the same race.
- 19:42Lewis, man, listen, you're, you're you're a eldest
- 19:44statesman. These young people, if they
- 19:46don't drop 10 grand, they don't think they had a good time.
- 19:49Come on. You know, Lewis is tough, man.
- 19:54Lewis is a tough. Old guy, the numbers guy,
- 19:59they're buying numbers. Come on man, what are we talking
- 20:01about? Yeah, Lewis is tough, man.
- 20:05He's a tough guy. Yo the bottles cost more than
- 20:09instead of slicks. I know if people go to Miami, I
- 20:13guarantee you they'll go to the clubs in Miami.
- 20:16They'll do everything else in Miami.
- 20:17They won't even go watch the race, man.
- 20:19But they'll buy a ticket, so as long as I got a ticket, it's a
- 20:21sale. So we're going to have eighty
- 20:25160,000 tickets sold and 72,000 people showing up to watch the
- 20:29race. This may be the closest thing to
- 20:32the northwest 200 the TT. This would be the closest thing
- 20:36until we get to Australia. So let like, you know what I'm
- 20:40saying, Come on. Maybe they'll open it up to Moto
- 20:43America and have your legs. Those guys come out on the Super
- 20:46Sport. If they don't go to COTA and
- 20:49they only go to Miami, they'll probably get a better
- 20:51attendance. But if they go to COTA and they
- 20:54go to Miami, the US is not a big enough country with enough
- 20:57spectators to to fill 2 events. We're not Spain, we're not
- 21:01Italy, we're not these countries that can have 345 events and
- 21:04every event sells out. We have one event and we can't
- 21:08even get decent people to go there.
- 21:12Right. 120,000 people. That was France on Sunday.
- 21:18I know, I know. Look.
- 21:21At. Sunday bro, even the French are
- 21:23making us look bad. Even the French are making us
- 21:25look bad. Man come.
- 21:27On but but yet everyone knows Moto GP here.
- 21:31Well, the the other thing is here I'm going to say at least
- 21:3435% of the crowd or 40% of the crowd is not even from the US.
- 21:39They're coming from South America, Latin America, the
- 21:41Caribbean, other places. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:44Just to visit America. No, just to visit there because
- 21:48nobody really wants to visit America right now, man.
- 21:50It's not that friendly a place. I don't know if you've heard.
- 21:54Whatever. Coolest friendly.
- 21:56Canadians don't even want to come here.
- 21:57They're the nicest people. Nobody wants to come here.
- 22:02Speaking of Speaking of people, let's talk about Marquez.
- 22:06You know, it's, it's tough. Let's go around the horn.
- 22:09Let me hear your thoughts. I, I, it's, you know, and we
- 22:12kind of chatted up a little bit in the chat, but what are your
- 22:15thoughts on Marquez this weekend?
- 22:16And I mean, to set down the time he did with he, let's talk.
- 22:20Let's start with that to set down the time he did in Qi think
- 22:23it was Q1 and and and set that lap record was pretty
- 22:28impressive. They didn't see it the whole the
- 22:30whole on Friday at all. And you know, maybe not I didn't
- 22:34see it. So what are your thoughts TJ?
- 22:38Yeah, Mark had to work this weekend for sure, but starting
- 22:43with the Q1, like, I mean, he pulled that out pretty late, but
- 22:47I mean, for for what the bike is going through right now, looks
- 22:52like he was going to be on top, you know, like he was just
- 22:56showing what Mark could do. And yeah, he pulled out a nice
- 23:00was a 129288 and he even had his his team, his coaches, you know,
- 23:07throwing hot fingers, you know, so but yeah, it's just from
- 23:12there. It's just, you know, he's he had
- 23:13to fight. He didn't stay in the front for
- 23:17the races and stuff like that. And obviously him losing the
- 23:21front end and that race was pretty bad.
- 23:25You know, he always tries to save all his slipping slides and
- 23:30yeah, his his elbow and knee was just not enough for for that
- 23:35speed he's going. So but yeah, it's a tough recap
- 23:38for him and hopefully he gets healthy soon.
- 23:40You know he's going to miss a couple of rounds, possibly so.
- 23:43Right, right. Yeah.
- 23:46Your thoughts, Reese man, on, on on Marquez's time.
- 23:49And then also just, you know, the crash in the Sprint race,
- 23:54you know, which is it's just wild to see.
- 23:56We were talking about this even before the last race, just how
- 23:59these bikes are moving around differently.
- 24:02They're more bucking the Ducati specifically than than before
- 24:06when they're crashing. One, I mean one, his times were
- 24:11very impressive. I mean, it shows that a guy is
- 24:13still fast, he still wants to win when everything works
- 24:17properly. But you can actually see that
- 24:20Marquez is pushing a lot harder than before sometimes to
- 24:25actually get to that pace with Bizecki, to try to stay up there
- 24:29or try to be very competitive with his crashes.
- 24:35I know not many people are going to.
- 24:36Some people may have their disagreements, but one, when I
- 24:40started with Yamaha 1, great mechanic that's still there and
- 24:44still inside the office. He actually told me when I first
- 24:47started. You actually writers are like 3
- 24:50stages. In the beginning they'll do
- 24:53stupid shit and just do dumb stuff and crash and do dumb
- 24:57stuff. Second, they'll kind of mellow
- 25:00out and they'll be the greatest writer you can be and do good
- 25:04for a nice long period of stretch.
- 25:06When they get to that third period and they're almost on
- 25:09their way out, they just start crashing here and there.
- 25:11But when they crash, they crash and things trying to push to get
- 25:19to that back to that level that they were at to compete with the
- 25:23the up and younger coming guy. You've seen it with a bunch of
- 25:26them and looking at Marquez, it almost looks like he's not he's
- 25:32pushing, but he's still there. But he almost, it almost looked
- 25:35like a a Rossi, A Pedroza, a Lorenzo, all those guys, when
- 25:39they started crashing the push a little bit more.
- 25:43It looks like it they they all come into that level where it's
- 25:45like it's almost at that time where it's like, yeah, you know
- 25:48what? It's only been so many times.
- 25:50I'm going to crash on my head and do this and ring my ring
- 25:54that bell. Yeah, I mean, he was playing
- 25:56that that that shoulder surgery, but not have to do it early
- 26:00because of this. Lewis man, what are your
- 26:02thoughts, man? Marquez and and that's what's
- 26:05happening and you know. I mean, I'll never say anything
- 26:09bad about Marquez because I, I truly admire everything he's
- 26:12done in this sport. From the time he's 125 to 2:50
- 26:17Moto 2 Moto GP, from beginning to end, everything he's ever
- 26:21done is, is spectacular. I mean, he's broken so many
- 26:24records. He set so many records that
- 26:26might never be broken. So I look forward to whatever he
- 26:32plans to do beyond this. But I think I think this last
- 26:39injury was I don't see is it the the nail, the the straw that
- 26:46breaks the camel's back. But I think we're we're right at
- 26:49that point now, you know, finding out that he's had a bent
- 26:52screw in his shoulder since the crash, since, you know, several
- 26:57rounds now that that sucks because that means that he was
- 27:01racing already injured plus injured with additional pain
- 27:05that didn't need to be there because there's a a bent screw
- 27:08in his shoulder or in his shoulder plate or something like
- 27:11that. But again, this is a guy that
- 27:14doesn't complain, keeps his head down, stays quiet, you know,
- 27:17says I'm doing the best for the team.
- 27:19The team is working the right way, like doing the PR thing.
- 27:22Hey, I'm not going to sit here like he said, I'm not going to
- 27:25see him cry to everybody that I have an injury.
- 27:27Like I have a job to do. It's expected for me to do and
- 27:29I'm going to go out there and do the best.
- 27:31And maybe this injury again was a lot more serious than we
- 27:35thought. The pain that he's been riding
- 27:37with is probably more serious than he thought.
- 27:39He's trying to ride around this pain.
- 27:41He said that his nerve goes dead in in an interview.
- 27:45So like this, this screw or this pin or whatever is putting
- 27:48pressure on his nerve. And after a while, like his, he
- 27:50starts to lose feeling, which if you know anything about riders,
- 27:54every rider needs feeling in their hands because that's where
- 27:56you're going to grab your brake, grab your throttle, do this, do
- 27:59that. And once you start feeling that
- 28:01numbness in your hand, you know you're going to lose so much
- 28:05ability on the bike because you only have your hands, your feet
- 28:09and your up and your body to move around on the bike and you
- 28:12lose your your feeling in one hand.
- 28:15That's like going into an MMA fight with one arm tan behind
- 28:18your back. You, you, you're looking for a
- 28:19long day at the office, right, right.
- 28:22So I hope that I hope they said the surgery went well.
- 28:25I hope he goes into recovery. He takes his time, even if he
- 28:29doesn't come back this season until the very end of the
- 28:31season, just kind of wash your hands of the season you got to
- 28:34you. He does have a contract signed
- 28:36somewhere. They just haven't released it.
- 28:38So just come back ready next year, man.
- 28:41There's there's nothing for you to do this year.
- 28:43Ducati just bought some lighter fuel.
- 28:45I don't know why I said Ducati has bought some lighter flu.
- 28:51Ironclad, ironclad contracts, man, They're not getting out of
- 28:54that one. No.
- 28:57Listen when when when a whole bunch of Ducati E bikes can burn
- 29:01down in the grid and nobody goes to jail.
- 29:04I think, I mean, in all honesty, I, I, I, I hope he takes his
- 29:09time because again, next year, we've spoken about it a lot.
- 29:12It's a whole new bike next year, right?
- 29:15Take this opportunity to get better, to get in shape and come
- 29:19back next year on a whole new bike where everybody's kind of
- 29:22not starting from zero because we've seen some lap times
- 29:24already for some bikes that have been out there testing.
- 29:28But it's a different playing field next year.
- 29:30And if he can come back next year in shape, and even if he
- 29:34ends up winning next year, just giving up on this year, winning
- 29:37next year, coming back 100% shape, he'll get that title that
- 29:41that elusive title that he really wants.
- 29:43But he'll also win on a new type of motorcycle.
- 29:47So he's won on 125, he's won on 250, he's won on the 4 cylinder.
- 29:51And now he's going to win on these new modified eight 90s.
- 29:55So he can almost be like Rossi, where Rossi went on 125, run on
- 29:59250 run on 500 run on the one thousands.
- 30:03I, I mean, I that would be the only reason a continuation is to
- 30:06beat Rossi. But let me ask this guys.
- 30:08I mean, you know, Mark is not the first Vignez is the first to
- 30:12have screws bent while riding per SE.
- 30:15Or, you know, I don't know if it was a common injury, but I, you
- 30:18know, this is not something that we we've seen often.
- 30:22I mean, we've seen in the past where somebody may re injure A
- 30:24collarbone that's been broken and has plates in it and stuff
- 30:27like that. But now these are screws that
- 30:29are getting bent. I mean, you know, this is it's
- 30:32it's it's should this be a bigger deal than what it is?
- 30:35And also, you know, I know he said he'll be back out for a
- 30:38couple of rounds, but we see Benihalis is not back yet.
- 30:43You know, what are your thoughts on, on, on, on that, TJ?
- 30:45Just, you know, the crashing, bending the screws or just, you
- 30:49know, just the training, 'cause they're, they're training so,
- 30:51you know, aggressively. I I definitely think Mark will
- 30:56be back before Maverick didn't have definitely different
- 31:00trainers. So I feel like Mark will
- 31:04definitely try to be back, you know, even if he's not
- 31:07competitive. Is that a slab on Lorenzo?
- 31:11Of course. So yeah, I think he'll be back
- 31:19much sooner than than Maverick. Even if he comes back, you know,
- 31:23Mark will just try to get his field because, you know, he
- 31:26can't go on as a slower pace. So I'm sure he'll make sure he
- 31:30he's he's set and ready. But as far as the screws
- 31:33bending, I don't know how usual that is.
- 31:36It's kind of unusual to see, you know, couple of motorcycle races
- 31:39that we have that have the same issue.
- 31:42And I'm sure it's pretty painful.
- 31:44I mean, they ride around it. And I was just thinking about
- 31:48the turn where he crashed or if they were showing like how he
- 31:51went a little wider than the other riders.
- 31:54I don't know if that it was just anticipation or if it was just,
- 31:57you know, running wider because of the pain and he just
- 32:00accidentally just lost the front.
- 32:02I don't know. But yeah, the Dennis screws is
- 32:06Chris is just unusual. Yeah, I'm not good to go
- 32:11through. Yeah, I I I heard, I heard
- 32:14something someone said that, you know, football players, European
- 32:19football are the toughest animals on the plate on an
- 32:24athlete. But we have to say motorcycle
- 32:26racers. What are your thoughts, Therese
- 32:28man on, you know, bending play bending screws.
- 32:31When I have a screw in my hand, I can't imagine hitting
- 32:34something hard enough to bend it to to now cause me pain, much
- 32:39less on the shoulder. I mean, bending screws suck.
- 32:43I mean, it does suck. It's something that, you know,
- 32:46all these riders go through. They all want to get back out
- 32:48there. They all want to, you know, try
- 32:50to get, you know, rush their, their injuries to get healthy.
- 32:55I mean, you know, like Lewis said, I mean, if that hand goes
- 32:59numb and there's no feeling in it, I mean, you're, you're
- 33:03pretty much dead in the water. It's just like, you know, our
- 33:05old friend, you know, our old Ryder Gonyea, his hand was numb.
- 33:09He had no feeling in it. It was, it'll be good for like 4
- 33:12laps to just go dead. So I know that feeling very well
- 33:16with these guys and it sucks. It's not a great feeling.
- 33:19So I mean, it's just like Lewis said, I mean, I hope he takes
- 33:23his time to fully get healthy and, and come back 100% strong.
- 33:28I mean, there's no rush. You have nothing to prove, you
- 33:31know, just take your time and he will be back before Viniales.
- 33:34I mean Viniales is, you know, the principal of KTM just told
- 33:38him, you know, do not come back. Stay out until you are fully
- 33:41100% healthy. So, you know, I did.
- 33:45I know for a fact that Mark. Mic check, you come in and out,
- 33:57yes. Sir, sorry about that.
- 34:00Not so good. Yeah, man, no, it's kind of
- 34:02crazy to see and hopefully it'll go well.
- 34:09Lewis, what do you have to say about that man?
- 34:12I would like to say that I'd like to see Marquez take a nice
- 34:15long break and come back. But knowing Marc Marquez and his
- 34:20perseverance slash stupidity and just the the hunger to compete,
- 34:26you know, I mean, I think he might be back by round 10 or
- 34:35round 11 because he does well at both of those tracks.
- 34:38So he can be back at round 10 and do some laps on the bike at
- 34:43the Netherlands. Netherlands Grand Prix, the very
- 34:48next Grand Prix is one of the best Grand prixs in the world,
- 34:51Germany, where he can just go and make left hand turns all day
- 34:57and goes super fast. So I would like to, I would like
- 35:01to think that if he does come back, he can probably be back
- 35:04around that time. That's that's late June, early
- 35:07mid-july. And it's just, you know, just
- 35:12before the long break. I think it's possible man.
- 35:20OK, I mean, I. I mean, there's really no long
- 35:23break this year. If you think about, if you look
- 35:25at the calendar, there's not your the usual long, long break
- 35:28because there's so many rounds. But but I think that if he can
- 35:32come back for the Netherlands and then do the German round,
- 35:38then he's got a month off and then he does the Great Britain
- 35:43and then he's got, you know, almost a month off before
- 35:45Aragon. Like that's a good timetable for
- 35:48him to come back, get some laps in, get back in shape.
- 35:51I mean, he says that the injury to his foot is not that serious.
- 35:54It was just one bone. But foot injuries take a long
- 35:58time to heal because the fact that you get so little oxygen to
- 36:01your extremities, especially your foot.
- 36:04So I see him spending a lot of time in a hyperbaric chamber,
- 36:07breathing a lot of oxygen rich environment and trying to get
- 36:11healthy as soon as possible. OK.
- 36:13All right, guys, is Ducati in trouble?
- 36:16I mean, you know, Diggio is our top guy.
- 36:19We're I'm happy to see, I think he should get the factory seat
- 36:22'cause he's carrying the team this year.
- 36:24But you know, it sounds like he's going to go to KTM.
- 36:27We just saw CJ man is is, I mean, you know, Marks out back 9
- 36:31is frustrated and, and, and Indigia.
- 36:35So it's really Diggia and the frustrated Back 9.
- 36:39I mean, yeah, I mean Ducati, I mean, we try to give them hope.
- 36:43I mean, there's still a lot of time left.
- 36:44They can, you know, they're not where Yamaha is at right now.
- 36:48So can't say they're like in super trouble.
- 36:51But you know, like you said. And yeah, is frustrated, Mark
- 36:57struggling to keep it together. You got Alex Marquez crashing as
- 37:03well. And you know, Dizzy is pretty
- 37:06much the only one kind of holding it together.
- 37:08But you know, it's, you know, there's still, you know, five
- 37:12through 10, you know, they're not where they past couple years
- 37:16getting getting lockouts and stuff like that.
- 37:19So and the prey is just putting it on them and, and having them
- 37:24think really hard and putting that real pressure on them and
- 37:27it's it's showing each round. So I think, I think they are in
- 37:32trouble, but they're not like deep, deep in the waters.
- 37:36Reese, man, did you deserve a factory contract?
- 37:39What are we talking about here? I mean, the guys looking back at
- 37:42at Costa and like they signed you over me.
- 37:46I mean, did you does deserve a factory contract?
- 37:49I mean, he is the only one on the Ducati actually putting in,
- 37:54you know, a consistent podium or a consistent great position.
- 37:59So he is holding down for Ducati.
- 38:01The factory boys are, you know, they're hurting.
- 38:04I mean, you keep not finishing the getting both of your guys
- 38:08getting the DNF or, you know, and didn't even start.
- 38:11So it does hurt that factory side.
- 38:14I mean, your, your, your satellite teams are doing a
- 38:17little better, are doing better than you.
- 38:19And I think like, like Lewis said, I think this year is just
- 38:22the Aprilia year. I mean, they're getting, you
- 38:24know, lockouts, you know, and they have their first lockout
- 38:27ever. So I think it's just the Aprilia
- 38:29is one of the bikes to beat this year and Ducati is, they're like
- 38:34you said, they're not as bad as anybody else.
- 38:36They're they're still there. They're just not the top dogs
- 38:38anymore right now. Yeah, I agree.
- 38:41I agree. It's like Aprilia is, is A10
- 38:43Ducati's like A7. These other guys are probably
- 38:47like a A5 because they they they're making progress.
- 38:52But what your thoughts, Louis, on Ducati, you know, is it is it
- 38:57just survive the season? Do we pour everything into
- 38:59Digia? We pour everything into Digia
- 39:02and back Naya because they could probably still they still have a
- 39:05shot to kind of, you know, you never know because Martine and
- 39:09and Bez might start fighting because we'll talk about Martina
- 39:13a little bit because his celebrations are getting out of
- 39:15hand. But what do you, a Ducati, lose?
- 39:22You're on mute, my brother. That's a good question is do you
- 39:24want to support two guys that both won't be with you next
- 39:31year? Obviously you want to win this
- 39:32year, you want to be successful this year.
- 39:35I don't see Bagnaya bouncing back.
- 39:37I mean, we saw that it, we saw the decline last year on the
- 39:40Ducati with him. And even though he's had some
- 39:43flashes of brilliance, he's also had some flashes of just, you
- 39:48know, kind of losing his cool this weekend.
- 39:51You know, we got video evidence of him kicking things out off
- 39:55the track and and going full, full, full tantrum.
- 40:00As he should, As he should 'cause you.
- 40:02Know, I'm, I'm not blaming him 'cause if, if I'm riding a bike
- 40:05and I'm having that many issues and they're not being addressed
- 40:08and I can't seem to find it and the, the team is maybe giving me
- 40:12what I want or maybe not giving me what I want.
- 40:14Cause again, we don't, we're not inside the garage.
- 40:16We don't know the politics and everything that's going on in
- 40:19there. We don't know how many used
- 40:20parts he's getting off Mark's bike 'cause he's, you know, he's
- 40:23kind of out of the loop for next year.
- 40:25So they're not necessarily maybe giving him, again, top level
- 40:28support. There's always an A rider and AB
- 40:30rider, and the B rider doesn't get as good a level of support
- 40:33as the A rider. Right, so let me ask this did
- 40:36did. Was it Taradasi?
- 40:39Did he say something to Pekko to piss him off or he's just mad at
- 40:42the bike? I don't know.
- 40:45I mean, I wish I could have been a fly on the wall because I
- 40:49mean, it seems like Taradasi said some things that, you know,
- 40:54might have rubbed him the wrong way.
- 40:56And even in the even in the media, he said some things that
- 40:59are like a little bit, I'm not going to say anti Pekko, but you
- 41:03know, this is a Pekko issue. It's not a Ducati issue.
- 41:06You know, he's yeah. So it's like, wait a second,
- 41:10like it's, you know, shots fired, like what's going on
- 41:13here? Yeah, I mean, you can't.
- 41:15You can't say it's Petco. We see Alex struggling too.
- 41:18Right. Yeah, yeah.
- 41:18I mean, Alex is struggling. I mean, Furman is still still
- 41:21getting better from his injury. I think Furman is going to be a
- 41:24couple more rounds before he's even at 90%.
- 41:27I think right now he's he's at 8085% at best.
- 41:31Right, but he's on a 24 bike, and we see the 24 bike as
- 41:33struggling even against the Hondas and the Yamahas.
- 41:36Yeah, yeah. So, but I, I still think he's a
- 41:39better rider than right now he's showing because not only he's on
- 41:42a older bike, but older spec bike, but he's also not at 100%.
- 41:47You know, he, you see him walking around the paddock, he's
- 41:49still got a heavy limp from that broken bone.
- 41:53So you know, Ducati is just the, it's, it's The Walking wounded,
- 41:57the emotionally wounded, the, the financially wounded.
- 42:03Is, is just, there's too much drama at Ducati right now.
- 42:07Ducati needs like a little bit of a reset button.
- 42:09Let's refresh everybody. Everybody's got a two year
- 42:12contract. Everybody's happy now we're
- 42:14working on the bikes like. Some people get drunk on on
- 42:18championships and they don't know how to function.
- 42:21I mean, that could be another thing, but Ducati is a company
- 42:24that builds their reputation on winning on Sunday and selling on
- 42:28Monday. And if as soon as that you start
- 42:32to see some chinks in the armor, man, that that's that's not good
- 42:35for them as a company overall and it's not good for them in
- 42:40the translation of sales because we spoke about it.
- 42:43They are right now like the innovator in street bikes, in
- 42:48high performance street bikes. And if we don't see them on the
- 42:51podium, you know, I'm not going to say Aprilia sales are going
- 42:55to go up because technically the Aprilia is a modified version of
- 42:58the same bike, just keeps getting refined, refined,
- 43:00refined, refined, refined, refined.
- 43:02Whereas Ducati really does complete makeovers, design
- 43:06makeovers and everything else. I I disagree that people are
- 43:09going to go buy some Aprilia for sure.
- 43:11I mean, because they're on sale, because nobody's buying them.
- 43:13So yeah, people buy them. They're.
- 43:16Gonna buy some Aprilia. I will say this, I had a guy
- 43:19this this past week that's a really good rider, really,
- 43:23really good rider. And he rode back-to-back to back
- 43:28a Aprilia RSV 4 factory brand new ABM WS1000 double RM spec,
- 43:35so carbon wheels, the whole kit and caboodle and and a brand new
- 43:39Ducati V4. And he rated them Aprilia 1
- 43:45Ducati to BMW last. And he said, you know, the
- 43:50Aprilia might not be the most modern or coolest looking bike,
- 43:55but the bike does everything a bike needs to do.
- 43:57It has a sole when you get on the gas, when you get on the
- 44:00brakes, like it feeds back to you a lot of information.
- 44:04You feel confident on the bike. The Ducati is right there close
- 44:07to the Aprilia with a couple of things that, you know, it's not
- 44:11as good as the Aprilia, but the Aprilia is also 100 CCS more
- 44:15because they sell an 1100 for the street, not a 1000.
- 44:19And he said the BMW is just a soulless machine.
- 44:22You can tell it was built by Germans.
- 44:23It has no soul. Well, I listen, I'm a fan of I
- 44:30might get another one. And you know, I think Pekko
- 44:32recognized that Ducati was struggling last year, but he got
- 44:36the blame for a lot of it. But let's let's move on and talk
- 44:39about Honda and Yamaha. How good was it to see Yamaha,
- 44:43Honda fighting in the top seven, top 8 and mid?
- 44:47If he didn't crash out on Sunday, it might have been even
- 44:50sweeter. I was excited to see that even
- 44:52though Quattroaro said some things and I'm going to talk
- 44:54about that as well. What are your thoughts, TJ on
- 44:58on. How they looking, Yeah, Honda
- 45:01especially, definitely looking good, especially for the the
- 45:04French guys, you know, felt like it was a little battle between
- 45:08the two. And I'm very surprised that, you
- 45:11know, Fabio was very able to pull out what he what he did,
- 45:15especially going to was it Q1Q2? Yeah, Q2 it was just back and
- 45:22forth with the leaders, you know, and and Zarka was able to
- 45:25pull it out and it's just for the fans, you know, it's just
- 45:30kind of what they came to see, even though his pace wasn't able
- 45:34to hold up and, you know, and mirror, he said, I just wish he
- 45:41can just finish a a weekend. But his pace is also been
- 45:45improving and he's he's been fighting and staying above, you
- 45:50know, top 10. So but Fabio rode very well,
- 45:55very, you know, surprising to see him run basically top five
- 45:58the whole race. But he pulled everything that he
- 46:01could out of that bike. Yeah, I agree.
- 46:04So he probably looked good. But Yamaha?
- 46:06Yamaha finally looked good this weekend.
- 46:09You know, you know, you didn't mention Ren's.
- 46:11Ren's got into. Q2, yeah.
- 46:12And you? Know you know what are your
- 46:16thoughts Ares on on on Honda and Yamaha how they did you know
- 46:21there's only one French guy on the on the Yamaha TJ not too,
- 46:24but you know, we'll we'll we'll we'll let it.
- 46:28We'll let that. Start talking about Kamal Zarko.
- 46:31OK, OK, OK. Yeah, no Zarko's up there.
- 46:35You know, you like to see Blue being that competitive at the
- 46:39top level, right? I mean, I definitely like to see
- 46:42blue competitive. I mean, like you said, I'm I'm
- 46:44I'm surprised, like I was pretty much speechless on Ren getting
- 46:48into Q2. That was I had no words for
- 46:51that. I don't know where that came
- 46:52from. But and I was happy to see, you
- 46:55know, Quattro up there in the top five top, you know, top six
- 46:58battling back and forth. I mean, he did say that this was
- 47:01like the first time in a long time that he can actually push
- 47:04the bike to that limit. Like he like he couldn't do it
- 47:08before. Now all of a sudden he can.
- 47:10So it was nice to see him up there.
- 47:12Nice to see the blue brand back up, you know, at least doing
- 47:15what they should be doing. Hopefully they can keep on this
- 47:19and figure something the hell out and get back up there.
- 47:22Be great with mirror. I mean, it seemed like, I mean,
- 47:26it was nice to see mirror with the pace and that to see him up
- 47:29there. I mean, but I feel like I'm on
- 47:32like, you know, like Fast and the furious, another sequel to
- 47:36the crash out. Like, I don't know how big this
- 47:38guy's crash Bill is or how much he's spending on crash, but
- 47:41Jesus Christ, man, like every time I turn around, this guy is
- 47:45crashing. I'm, I don't know if it's a
- 47:49Spanish thing because Acosta, him and Marquez, right?
- 47:52And boys, when they, they, they crash, they don't, they don't
- 47:55take it easy, you know, and, and.
- 48:01Right. I mean, everybody, no, go ahead,
- 48:04go ahead. It was just.
- 48:05No, you kind of chopped up a little bit, so I was just
- 48:08pausing for you. Go ahead.
- 48:11No, I mean it's everyone. There was a lot of crashes.
- 48:16I mean Bender, you know, crash mirror crashed.
- 48:20I mean, it was a it was a whole Spanish crash, but it's just
- 48:25with mirror man. I don't I don't know what he's
- 48:28doing to keep crashing. Like what is he doing that makes
- 48:32him crash? Like is he like having a brain
- 48:35fart in the middle of a race? He's pushing harder than the the
- 48:37other Hondas. Nah, something my skull numb.
- 48:46His brain, he's a. Pop Honda rider and then crashes
- 48:50out. Yeah, but I mean, you got to
- 48:54think about this. Think about us on us on this
- 48:57side as a crew member, you think, I really want to stay up
- 49:00all night rebuilding your bike every weekend like, I'm not
- 49:04coming no more. I'm like, yo, dude, all you
- 49:05gonna do is crash, man. Here, just take this piece of
- 49:07crap. I'm I'm this is, I'm over Jesus
- 49:11Christ. That's your job.
- 49:13There was some importance. That.
- 49:15Happens this weekend. Thanks Louis for your job.
- 49:21He's keeping you employed and you complaining.
- 49:24Yeah, he's keeping me employed. Keep me up all night.
- 49:28Too. Hey, that's why you salary.
- 49:34You got to negotiate. You got to talk to numbers.
- 49:37Guy. I hate him.
- 49:43No, we don't know. Nobody wants to see the bill.
- 49:46What are your thoughts on Honda and Yamaha Lewis?
- 49:49Well, first for Yamaha. What do I say the hometown?
- 49:53Half a second is a real thing. He, you know, Cuadraro is going
- 49:58faster in France than anywhere else.
- 50:00He's saying that he's got feeling, he's got this, he's got
- 50:03that. Let's see what happens the next
- 50:04round. Let's see if he can maintain
- 50:07that 5th, 6th place, 7th place finish at the next round.
- 50:11It. Is this an anomaly just for
- 50:13France or did they find something in France that helped
- 50:18him go a half a second faster other than the fans cheering for
- 50:21him? Let's just say Quatarara came
- 50:23out of Q1 of Q2, Renzo's already there.
- 50:26And you look at the Q times, I mean, you know, at least at
- 50:31least Alex Marquet is the better for his home track debut than
- 50:35Quatarara did. But you so do you think it's
- 50:40more Quatarara than the Yamaha is what you're saying based on
- 50:42that? I think it's more Quattro hour
- 50:45than the Yamaha. Either he himself has modified
- 50:48something to work around the issues with the Yamaha, or
- 50:51again, it's just the hometown. Half a second, man.
- 50:53When you got your fans, when you got hundreds of thousands of
- 50:56people cheering for you, you're there with your family.
- 51:00You're there trying to, you know, put on a show for the
- 51:02people that supported you, that your countrymen.
- 51:05You find a quarter second, you find a half a second.
- 51:08It's a real thing, man. It's not something that's
- 51:10made-up. So let's, let's see, let's see
- 51:14at the next round if he can still maintain that.
- 51:17I will say one thing that I heard from Yamaha, which I was
- 51:21like, man, that is, I mean, if you think that's a bar, you're
- 51:25setting a very low bar. Like the manager from Yamaha
- 51:29said that they were happy to have finished 7 seconds off the
- 51:34winner of the race, like within 7 seconds.
- 51:40So there's they were 7.7 seconds behind Martine.
- 51:44In the Sprint. In the race, well remember the
- 51:48Sprint is half the half the distance, but in the actual race
- 51:51there are 7.7 seconds from the winner and that seems like it's
- 51:57not a lot. But remember this is Moto GP
- 51:59worth tenths of a second or a world of difference. 7.7
- 52:04seconds. That's like me racing a super
- 52:07bike on a 600 and saying, oh, I finished 22 seconds behind, you
- 52:12know? No, man, that's that's.
- 52:14What? That's like you be rolling out a
- 52:16new bike and you finishing seven seconds behind people who
- 52:19already got something to establish and you know, you got
- 52:21room to play. They got room to play and
- 52:23they're playing if they can, if they can cut that 7 seconds to
- 52:27down to 4 1/2 five seconds by the summer break.
- 52:31But I mean, it's, it's, it's a wash by the end of the season
- 52:34because we know we're changing the bikes next year.
- 52:36It's still a, it's still a, as far as motivation and, and what
- 52:40your team is doing. If you can chase these guys down
- 52:43versus throwing in a towel, right?
- 52:44I mean, he's getting points, man.
- 52:46Like he's getting championship points, you know, I think this
- 52:48weekend he walked away with 15 championship points.
- 52:53Not bad. Which is not bad compared to
- 52:55where he was last year at the same time on on the bike, like,
- 52:59you know, he's not necessarily going backwards.
- 53:02That's that's the the most positive thing I can say is that
- 53:05at least he's not going backwards because I think he
- 53:07again, I think he's an incredible talent and I really
- 53:11do want to see him perform well. And I hope when he moves on to
- 53:15the next bike, he doesn't significantly better on that
- 53:19bike 'cause I still think that the Honda is the better of the
- 53:21two bikes right now and I still think that Honda is developing
- 53:24the bike faster than Yamaha. I agree.
- 53:27I and yeah, yeah, I think so. And I think, you know, even I
- 53:31believe that Honda's on the step either level with KTM or above
- 53:37KTM because if you look at more or less when where KTM riders
- 53:40finish on a regular and Honda riders finish on a regular when
- 53:43they finish, the Honda riders tend to finish higher than most
- 53:47of the KTM riders when they finish.
- 53:49Right, no doubt, no doubt. Let me ask this before we we
- 53:52kind of talk about some more racing and then get out of here.
- 53:56You know, Quattro Rawa had some some some negative things to say
- 54:00before the the race weekend happened and then he had a
- 54:03better result than than he may have thought of at the beginning
- 54:08of the season. We see contracts with with we
- 54:11see Martine last year. Do you think that these teams
- 54:18are going to stop putting in language not to badmouth us, not
- 54:21to say if you're signed under us, not to say negative things
- 54:23about us, even if the bike is not working to your advantage?
- 54:29We'll start with TJ. Yeah, I mean, they'll probably
- 54:33have to. Mark Marquez will probably have
- 54:35to do it first and then they'll make the rule, but I think they
- 54:40should so. He didn't.
- 54:41He's a he's a old school writer. He didn't bad my fondo when they
- 54:44were bad. True, so but so I don't they
- 54:48might let us stand because I don't know.
- 54:50They do say it's just like right on borderline, you know, but the
- 54:55adrenaline is so high, especially when it comes to the
- 54:57racing, like how they react to it.
- 55:00I can always think of how Pasier reacts, reacted and even after
- 55:05the race like how Paco reacts and even in the press
- 55:09conferences. I'd rather him pick the doctor
- 55:13all day long. Yeah.
- 55:16And at the end of the day, like you're representing their brand
- 55:19and you don't want to tarnish it some kind of the way like
- 55:22Martine did slightly. So I'd probably take like one
- 55:26more racer to say something crazy and then they'll probably
- 55:29do something about it. Right, right.
- 55:32What are your thoughts, Reese, Man, do you, do you, do you hear
- 55:34that stuff when you're walking down the hall and people are
- 55:36talking behind closed doors? What can we stop the writers
- 55:39from saying? From saying it, but know that
- 55:46you can say right, they're going to have fun, they're right there
- 55:51and they know exactly what to say and saying and not get in
- 55:55trouble but being so more they just want to keep you out, you
- 55:59know, done with this, though, I mean it is it's going to take a
- 56:03whole like sort of every team to put something.
- 56:09Right, right. Well, I unfortunately we get you
- 56:11were getting in and out, but I think you're sitting here saying
- 56:14that if they continue to, even though they danced the line a
- 56:18little bit, you know, eventually they could they can get
- 56:20themselves in trouble or something to that effect.
- 56:24Right. If the it's, you know, it's
- 56:27they, they just do that. They just walk that thin line,
- 56:29that thin line they stay on, that's all.
- 56:32Right, right. Let me ask you this, Lewis.
- 56:35I mean, we know that they have collective bargaining going on
- 56:38and and Moto GP as a whole is trying to get more meteor rights
- 56:43from Liberty. You think Liberty, you know, we
- 56:46know Liberty's concerned, concerned about their brand.
- 56:48So you think they can somehow they can see some language in,
- 56:51in in there to kind of get to get riders to just say nice
- 56:54things on camera? I mean, this could be, this
- 56:59could be another collective bargaining point is, you know,
- 57:02maybe they put a penalty system in for riders that speak poorly
- 57:06about the brand, about the company, about their
- 57:09manufacturers. You know, you can't really, you
- 57:14can't really stop people from speaking badly about you.
- 57:17But you can find them. The NBA does it, the NFL does
- 57:20it. The N, you know, all these Major
- 57:22League teams, if you talk bad about a referee, you know, on
- 57:27Monday, the NBA front office sends you a nice big bill for,
- 57:30hey, we're taking this much out of your check.
- 57:32The NFL does the same thing. Major League Baseball does the
- 57:34same thing. All these major sports do that.
- 57:37Formula One doesn't do that specifically, but most of the
- 57:42riders there, most of the drivers in Formula One kind of
- 57:47minimize their critiques to other teams, not the team that
- 57:50they're on. So they'll talk badly about
- 57:52other riders, which is fine because that is what Liberty
- 57:55Media and all these companies want.
- 57:56They want these rivalries. They want people to clash and
- 57:59butt heads because it brings more attention.
- 58:02As long as you don't talk bad about the overall product, as
- 58:05long as you don't talk about the series or your manufacturer or
- 58:11anything like that. So maybe this is something they
- 58:13put in the collective bargaining agreement because it's really
- 58:15hard to put that in an individual rider's contract.
- 58:18Because I'm a, if I'm a rider, I'm going to be like, hey, you
- 58:20got to take that out of my contract.
- 58:22I'm not, I don't want to sign this contract like you want to
- 58:24sign me as a talent. You got to, you got to take this
- 58:27out of the contract. But if the series all of a
- 58:31sudden imposes some sort of restriction or a finding
- 58:35allowance, hey, if you talk badly about our tire
- 58:38manufacturer, we can fine you up to, you know, fifty, $60,000,
- 58:43then people will stop shitting on Michelin or Bridgestone,
- 58:46whoever's the tire manufacturer. You know, I'm not going to say
- 58:50something like that exists in Motor America, but I've, I
- 58:53haven't heard too many people talk badly about Dunlop in Motor
- 58:56America, even though when the camera's not around, I've heard
- 59:00some scathing, scathing things about that rhymes with shit.
- 59:11But when the cameras around, you know, I like to thank MOTU,
- 59:14Dunlap, permission, foods, chips, you know, blah, blah,
- 59:17blah, blah, blah. Because you know.
- 59:19Say no. You got to play the game.
- 59:21Right, right, right, right. So see.
- 59:23This camera's off. Oh, these chips sucks.
- 59:25These tires are shit. I don't even use this oil.
- 59:32I have no idea what he's talking about.
- 59:36Let's moonwalk right past this. Hey, I again Mission chips if
- 59:43you're listening. I I like your chips.
- 59:45I like your tortillas. I buy that shit.
- 59:48I support it. Even before you were part of
- 59:50Motor America, I I like your stuff.
- 59:52If you want to send some to my house, I'll give you my address.
- 59:55More than happy to make tortillas, eat them here on the
- 59:57pod, give you some some screen time.
- 1:00:03There you go, there you go. I think TJ might have had some
- 1:00:05already. Let me ask guys.
- 1:00:12I got A2 parter. You know the elephant in the
- 1:00:16room? Aprilia, right?
- 1:00:17Aya guru. I mean man, if can't.
- 1:00:23Well, first question, yes or no? And why do you guys think that
- 1:00:28Aprilia can end the season 1-2 and three?
- 1:00:31Don't know what order of riders but 1-2 and three yes No And why
- 1:00:36TJ? I mean, they got the strongest
- 1:00:41bikes. I'll say yes, very possible for
- 1:00:45the rate things are going. They stay this strong.
- 1:00:51Yeah, I'll call it like how I'll go to say a little late race
- 1:00:54pace. So I thought you can keep.
- 1:00:56I think they can do it. I don't know what order, but
- 1:00:59yes. All right, what are your
- 1:01:00thoughts? What are your thoughts?
- 1:01:02Reeks and April, you'll pull it off 123.
- 1:01:06I think they can. I mean, they're they showing
- 1:01:08strong signs. I believe they can, man.
- 1:01:11All right, all right, all right, Lewis.
- 1:01:17Yeah, I think they can do it. All right, so now if, if, if
- 1:01:21Aprilia finishes 1-2 and three and Aya Gur is one of them and
- 1:01:28Martine is one of them and they go to Yamaha next year, Can
- 1:01:32Yamaha pull away the chip next year, TJ?
- 1:01:38I don't know the next year that's, that's all different.
- 1:01:41I was just excited to see what that's about, you know, I, I
- 1:01:45don't know to see Yamaha just turned around just like that.
- 1:01:50I don't know if. They got the the top three
- 1:01:52riders you know for next year, one of the you know.
- 1:01:58If they have the top riders. But what if the another
- 1:02:00manufacturer figs it out before those top three riders?
- 1:02:04You know, not how the game goes. What are your thoughts on?
- 1:02:09Go ahead. What I was going to say is they
- 1:02:12can. What you got is pretty the top
- 1:02:14three. It's possibly they can be top
- 1:02:16four. I mean, if Raul steps it up a
- 1:02:19little bit, I mean, they're they're right there.
- 1:02:22So that'll be impressive. But top three of you is I think
- 1:02:26can happen all. Right, cool.
- 1:02:28I mean, look, man, we we this kind of seems like it.
- 1:02:31What's your thoughts, Reese? And can, can you know, can would
- 1:02:34that be possible for Yamaha next year with a Iagura and a Martine
- 1:02:37if they finished top 123 this year?
- 1:02:42Depends on the package, man. Depends on the package that
- 1:02:44Yamaha steps up and brings to the plate.
- 1:02:47And like Lewis said, they don't bring a shit box.
- 1:02:49You know which I think if I think if everything goes well, I
- 1:02:55think they can, you know, be back in the top of the box.
- 1:02:58But you know, it all depends on what package I have.
- 1:03:01Hopefully I do have faith. So we'll see all.
- 1:03:06Right, All right, so who's going to have the the the the best
- 1:03:09shit box is going to win the championship next year.
- 1:03:12What do you what do you you got a lot to say, Lewis.
- 1:03:14I see you over there. Hold.
- 1:03:15On for real, You know you've got everything you're saying.
- 1:03:18The team shittiest box is going to win.
- 1:03:22Everybody's box is going to be a little shitty next year because
- 1:03:24everything is new. I don't think Yamaha is going to
- 1:03:27make that massive a turn around. You know, I really.
- 1:03:30Know 5-6. And one track with one dude
- 1:03:36that's not going to be there next year.
- 1:03:38Listen man, you have to to get your first date.
- 1:03:42You got to start somewhere. Well, they're going to be single
- 1:03:45for a hot minute. I think Agura, you know, Agura
- 1:03:51right now, he did the right thing for him as a young rider
- 1:03:55having an opportunity to go to a factory bike 'cause he didn't
- 1:03:57see another factory bike opening for himself.
- 1:04:00So if he's going to go to Yamaha as a young rider, 1 Asian rider
- 1:04:04on a Asian manufacturer, that's already a win marketing wise
- 1:04:10and, and, and targeted audience wise.
- 1:04:14You know, I want an Asian rider on my Asian motorcycle like
- 1:04:17that's, that's, that's a win, win the same way I want an
- 1:04:20Italian rider on an Italian bike and so on and so.
- 1:04:22Forth and Davio might leave if the rumors are true.
- 1:04:25Davio supposedly is gone. OK.
- 1:04:27See, there he goes. He's gone.
- 1:04:28He's going to Honda. He's going to Honda, he's going
- 1:04:31to be and and this is one of the reasons why if if Mir leaves,
- 1:04:37it's going to suck because Mirror did very, very well with
- 1:04:40Davio when they were at Suzuki. And I think the next to Gigi
- 1:04:46Delegia, I think Davio is one of the best team managers,
- 1:04:50consultants you can have working for you because the dude knows
- 1:04:53how to build great bikes out of not great bikes.
- 1:04:57Yeah. And he?
- 1:04:59He he was with Rossi in the early days of Yamaha too.
- 1:05:02Let's not. Yeah, Rossi, early days of
- 1:05:04Yamaha, Suzuki turned it around, took a bike that nobody thought
- 1:05:07could win and, you know, won several races, was always
- 1:05:10competitive. The last, you know, competitive
- 1:05:14force in the bike that's in the series was the Suzuki and, you
- 1:05:19know, won a championship with Mir at Suzuki when nobody
- 1:05:23thought that Suzuki would have any chance of winning the
- 1:05:25championship. So this guy is is the real deal.
- 1:05:28And I think he brings a lot of knowledge to Honda that that
- 1:05:31Honda can use. I think, you know, again,
- 1:05:37depending on the package that Yamaha brings, you know,
- 1:05:40Martine's a talented rider. He's going to do the best he can
- 1:05:42do with what he's got. But Kwaderonero's a talented
- 1:05:45rider and he can't do anything with the Yamaha as it is today.
- 1:05:49Maybe Yamaha need to reset and go a different direction with
- 1:05:52somebody else and Quadrara needs to reset, go with another
- 1:05:55manufacturing start. Like I said before, with Ducati,
- 1:05:58sometimes you got to kind of clear the table and be like,
- 1:06:00hey, let's do a hard reset. You know, let's the, the, the,
- 1:06:04the EC, the PCU crashed, the hard drive crashed.
- 1:06:07Let's reset this computer, hit, you know, control alt delete,
- 1:06:11pull the plug out, whatever you got to do, restart this thing
- 1:06:14and let's see if we can with a refresh and get that glitch out.
- 1:06:17Giant magnet. Giant magnet.
- 1:06:20We don't. That's not getting a glitch out.
- 1:06:22That's. Killing the computer we.
- 1:06:26Just want to do like you know like a plug it and unplug it for
- 1:06:30the printer just to get the printer to work again.
- 1:06:33OK, no doubt. Before we get out of here, guys,
- 1:06:38Martine. Oh, hey, Martine.
- 1:06:40Is he the Max Biazzi of celebrations or trying to
- 1:06:44celebrate? What's up with the dance?
- 1:06:46And what's up with the, the, the interview at the end where he's
- 1:06:51almost saying all I want to do is zoom, zoom, zoom and a boom,
- 1:06:53boom. Like literally what's the, you
- 1:06:55know, he, he's getting out of hand with the celebrations.
- 1:07:00So, man, we all know our team needs to get it together and he
- 1:07:07needs to not celebrate like that.
- 1:07:09Like he hasn't really done much. I mean, even from years back
- 1:07:14when he was celebrating, it always turned around and bit him
- 1:07:17in the ass. So I don't know it it, I don't
- 1:07:21know. I know he's happy one
- 1:07:23back-to-back. But yeah, you know, so so
- 1:07:26sometimes. You get happy, you say things.
- 1:07:30You don't realize what you say, you know.
- 1:07:33Yeah, he gets a little too excited sometimes though.
- 1:07:36Like maybe, maybe one quick dance move and that's it.
- 1:07:40But like, like it was like a he's.
- 1:07:44One of the Champions or someday or salsa.
- 1:07:47He he was kind of with me. What are your thoughts?
- 1:07:48Louis Reese's. He doesn't want to comment on
- 1:07:51Martina at all. He's out of here.
- 1:07:55It looked like epilepsy, like somebody checked on him because
- 1:07:59it looked like he was having a a epileptic seizure up there.
- 1:08:02If you're going to celebrate, be good at the celebration.
- 1:08:06You wheelie, you crash, you try to dance, looks like you're
- 1:08:10having a seizure. Like, come on either if if you
- 1:08:13can't celebrate, don't celebrate.
- 1:08:15Just shake the bottle. Little bit of junk.
- 1:08:18Hey, I won. That's it.
- 1:08:19Just just get out bro. You're embarrassing yourself.
- 1:08:23You know, there's only a few people that are really good at
- 1:08:25doing like high end celebration, orchestrated celebrations.
- 1:08:29He ain't one of them bro. You know he's the Max Biaggi
- 1:08:33going to 13 o'clock on a bike and almost crashing, not the
- 1:08:39Valentino Rossi stopping and using the bathroom or sweeping
- 1:08:42the the dirt. Like bro, stop, stop with this
- 1:08:46man. If he going to keep, if he's
- 1:08:48going to keep celebrating, I hope he doesn't win just so we
- 1:08:50don't have to see celebrations to be legit.
- 1:08:52He he might. I don't need to see that he.
- 1:08:56Might get to read. It What are your thoughts,
- 1:08:58Reese? Do you?
- 1:09:01Do you? Do you talk to your your guys
- 1:09:03when they do a bad celebration and tell them not to?
- 1:09:05Do you guys clown them when nobody's around?
- 1:09:07What happens when a rider does a bad celebration?
- 1:09:09What do you do? I don't know if Reese can hear
- 1:09:13us. I think he's tapped out.
- 1:09:15He's tapped out. Reese, I think you can't hear
- 1:09:20us, man. I think you tapped out.
- 1:09:23We don't have to. We don't have to move on.
- 1:09:28But next time we'll get Reese his comments.
- 1:09:31Oh, I guess we got a show before we get out of here.
- 1:09:34So where is the the results? They're around here somewhere.
- 1:09:40There they are. So yeah, it was a good weekend
- 1:09:45for Aprilia. The one thing Marquez, man, the
- 1:09:48one time he lets me down takes a whole week out.
- 1:09:52There you are, Reese. Only if I Only if Mark's
- 1:09:57finished man. Oh.
- 1:10:02Mark. Mark killed him bro.
- 1:10:04Yeah, yeah. No, he definitely, he
- 1:10:05definitely. Well, obviously not racing on.
- 1:10:07Sundays killed all of us, man. Yeah, the the, the one time I
- 1:10:12pick him is not is is not good, but scores not looking too bad,
- 1:10:16guys. I mean, I guess when you're up
- 1:10:18front it never looks too bad. So, you know, 293, I won't gloat
- 1:10:22too much, TJ, man, I I can send you some notes if you'd like.
- 1:10:28I can help you out, you know. Don't worry, I'll be chasing the
- 1:10:31rabbit. You got late.
- 1:10:33Reefs taste like all these other rabbits.
- 1:10:35Right, right. Reese is.
- 1:10:36Coming y'all lose y'all focus, I'll lose y'all focus get
- 1:10:44comfortable I'm. I'm I'm enjoying every round,
- 1:10:48but I know it's not going to last.
- 1:10:49Trust me that that's how it goes.
- 1:10:54It's it's it's it's it's tough. It's tough, but it it's exciting
- 1:10:57to see. Yeah, man, you all.
- 1:11:00I don't know if you heard us, Reese, about the if you had an
- 1:11:04experience when writers have bad celebration And also do you want
- 1:11:07to comment on Martine celebration a little bit?
- 1:11:09But if you've had experience with writers celebrating going
- 1:11:12celebration is going bad. Do you guys say anything to them
- 1:11:15after the fact or behind closed doors?
- 1:11:19One yes, just don't do it no more 2 Mark Martine celebrations
- 1:11:23suck. He needs to like go practice
- 1:11:25them on by himself. Just go practice.
- 1:11:28They suck. Yeah, just just be humble.
- 1:11:32That's it. Hey, I got it.
- 1:11:35Looks like a little. Out there to celebrate it.
- 1:11:37I don't, I don't try to, I don't even dance, man.
- 1:11:39I don't even, I don't even attempt it, man.
- 1:11:42What? What did you guys before we
- 1:11:44leave? What do you guys think of the
- 1:11:46little top of that? Acosta said that he didn't
- 1:11:50appreciate the Jan Antonio looking back at him when he
- 1:11:52passed him and continually look back at him as he was pulling
- 1:11:55the way out of the last turn. He took it a little personal and
- 1:11:58that he's going to return to favor at some point.
- 1:12:01Well, I, I, I think I, I don't know if you heard me when I said
- 1:12:05it, when you were talking, I think did you look back and was
- 1:12:07like the factory signed you over me?
- 1:12:13I mean, Costa got his ass kicked pretty.
- 1:12:16I mean, not like that, but he just couldn't.
- 1:12:19He just didn't have enough. I mean, he knew it too.
- 1:12:22He just didn't have enough. And yeah, that's what he gets.
- 1:12:25I mean if you had the better end.
- 1:12:30If you don't want to get past. If you don't like getting past,
- 1:12:33go faster. Don't give go faster.
- 1:12:35Don't get past. Go faster.
- 1:12:36Don't get past. You can't be a sore loser, you
- 1:12:39know. Think about it.
- 1:12:41He does it to people all the time, so you know, sometimes you
- 1:12:45know, you got to eat it when they pass you.
- 1:12:47But it'll be interesting to see if it's just manufactured
- 1:12:51something or if like he he gives Digia a little bit of a hard
- 1:12:54pass. Yeah, I think it's probably the
- 1:12:57heat of the moment. I don't know if Digia would do
- 1:12:59that. He's a classy guy.
- 1:13:02We don't know if if Acosta is doing a little dirty stuff in
- 1:13:06the race to kind of irritate Digi as well or to make it
- 1:13:10difficult for him. So he was just like, look, I
- 1:13:12finally got you. Because sometimes some riders,
- 1:13:14you know, they'll do stuff. They see you, they like, they
- 1:13:16know you. They, they obviously not, you're
- 1:13:18not supposed to let anybody pass you.
- 1:13:20But at the same time, you know, they, they, they kind of do some
- 1:13:23stuff. And eventually when you pass
- 1:13:24them, you kind of want to be like, yeah, finally I got you,
- 1:13:27dude, because you've been riding effed up for so long.
- 1:13:30But you know, for Acosta, yeah, like Lewis said, you got to
- 1:13:35beat, did you? And that didn't happen.
- 1:13:38It sucks when it happens on on this two last two corners.
- 1:13:42It sucks to get passed on the last two corners on the final
- 1:13:44lap. Didn't go fast I mean.
- 1:13:51He's a little. More.
- 1:13:52A little more. Like, aye, Gora, I mean, even at
- 1:13:55the end, like he was stuck behind Fabio I think for a while
- 1:13:59and you know, just to just to get by and finally, yeah, I
- 1:14:04would look to the side too, you know, just to be like, thank you
- 1:14:08in my way. But.
- 1:14:10I think if if Agora had gotten around Fabio earlier, I think he
- 1:14:14would have probably taken that second from Baz man.
- 1:14:18Possibly, yeah. Because he was coming fast.
- 1:14:22But but riders do that. Marquez have done that.
- 1:14:24Look back, you know, Rossi obviously has done that to
- 1:14:27riders. I mean, sometimes you just you
- 1:14:29just check in to make sure if they went down or not.
- 1:14:31So you don't know if he he maybe he thought he might have made
- 1:14:35Acosta go down, but like you know, for Acosta.
- 1:14:42He's chippy though he lose a lot of wings.
- 1:14:44Like a little, a lot of touch he gets.
- 1:14:46It's close so well, Digi's comment is that.
- 1:14:51Digi's comment was that he's nothing special, he's just any
- 1:14:53other rider that's out there with him.
- 1:14:56That's true. That's true.
- 1:14:58I mean. You win, you win a champion.
- 1:15:01What's this his third year in in world of GP?
- 1:15:04I think it's yeah, third, third, second with the factory team.
- 1:15:07Yeah, yeah, You know what I'm saying?
- 1:15:09And he, I mean, Furman's won, O, won a race already.
- 1:15:13Raul's won a race already. He hasn't won.
- 1:15:16He has the most podiums. That hasn't won a race, right?
- 1:15:20You know? So he's knocked off Colin Switz.
- 1:15:22Yeah, yeah. Throwback.
- 1:15:29That's harsh. That's.
- 1:15:30A harsh throwback. That's a harsh Jesus Christ.
- 1:15:34For riding in Moto GP for 17 years and never win in a race,
- 1:15:37Colin Edwards and. You know that for that's huge,
- 1:15:43right? Because you know, when you think
- 1:15:44about it, there are a lot of riders that's gone into Moto GP
- 1:15:48that haven't won races and spend whether one day or 17 years,
- 1:15:53there's, there's a lot you know, and you know it, it's not easy.
- 1:15:57So yeah, you know, win a race. I'll see what happens next
- 1:16:02round, see if they get chippy. We'll see.
- 1:16:07We'll we'll see man. Look looking.
- 1:16:08Forward to. I, I, I can't matter of fact.
- 1:16:11Well, let's speak in the next round because it's this weekend.
- 1:16:13Let's throw the pics out there before we get out of here, guys,
- 1:16:17Where are we? Where are we in on Friday?
- 1:16:18I mean on Saturday calendar calendar.
- 1:16:24I forgot think of the British show.
- 1:16:27No. Cataluja.
- 1:16:29Cataluja. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Cataluna.
- 1:16:33So, all right, who are we picking?
- 1:16:36You need some time, TJ. Yeah, let me get some time on
- 1:16:39this one. I'll go for a superior per year,
- 1:16:42per year. They put names to it you.
- 1:16:46Can't just say. They.
- 1:16:48Are good at this track. They are good at this track.
- 1:16:52And Agura? Obviously not Raul yet.
- 1:16:56Not Raul yet. Sprint or for both?
- 1:16:58I'm going with both. This one's going both.
- 1:17:02Interesting. I'm already getting out of hand.
- 1:17:04I'm getting too cocky. It's starting to flex a little
- 1:17:07too much. Oh shit.
- 1:17:10I didn't plug in my battery, man.
- 1:17:14My battery. I didn't plug in my camera.
- 1:17:18See see. Here's what happened when you
- 1:17:19start getting too flexing. Right.
- 1:17:22Too much. Too much.
- 1:17:24The camera said Nah, you flex too much, click.
- 1:17:28Listen, that's how I tried to tell my daughter that as soon as
- 1:17:31you say, man, I got it. You know what I mean?
- 1:17:35For real? Nah, you done.
- 1:17:37Like that's it. Listen, I got you still going,
- 1:17:46Rex, you. That's just Sprint, race and
- 1:17:47race. Sprint, Sprint and main race.
- 1:17:49I'm that's it. I'm in done like.
- 1:17:51I got Jorge, Bass and shit, who's out there?
- 1:18:04I got Al Gore not yet Digia the Sprint and then no, I got Al
- 1:18:11Gore in the Sprint and then I got Digi with Jorge and Bass in
- 1:18:17the race. PJ.
- 1:18:24I must say the sprints, I'll say Jorge, Bazecki and Pedro and
- 1:18:32then then the GPI must say Bazecki, say Alex Marquez and
- 1:18:47Martine. OK, all right, all right.
- 1:18:51The sound of that? I got a European guy, European
- 1:18:57guy, European guy and a European guy, European guy, European.
- 1:19:03Guy, now we need names. On a European manufacturer.
- 1:19:07On a European manufacturer. All right, cheating ass.
- 1:19:11I got Martine, Bez and Digi in the Sprint.
- 1:19:17That's good. And then I got Bez, Martine and
- 1:19:21Acosta in the race. OK, I can see that too.
- 1:19:24I think Acosta's coming this time is coming.
- 1:19:26So it's just it's interesting that, you know, you see riders
- 1:19:32like Acosta Miller, even I guess a Quatarara a little bit who
- 1:19:38like they they can't manage to tie you at the end of the race
- 1:19:41where you look at, you know, some of the other guys on on
- 1:19:44same bikes, they can manage the tie and get quick quicker at the
- 1:19:47end of the race. If he figures, if Acosta figures
- 1:19:49out how to get some tie life at the end of the race, he'll be a
- 1:19:52different rider. I think I think one of his
- 1:19:55problems might be the way he sets up his bike.
- 1:19:57He sets up his bike for maximum grip at the beginning, but not
- 1:20:01for how to handle as the grip drops towards the end.
- 1:20:05You know, there's certain guys that set up the bike the other
- 1:20:07way around where they'll take moderate grip at the beginning
- 1:20:11to have better grip as the tire drops off.
- 1:20:14Acosta is one of those guys that likes to start really fast.
- 1:20:18But then yeah, like you said, he he doesn't manage the tire very
- 1:20:21well, ends up eating them up and towards the end of the race you
- 1:20:23start to see him lose pace, lose grip and start going backwards.
- 1:20:27Whereas you see other guys, they start out pretty well.
- 1:20:30They stay competitive in the top 6 or 7 or if they get out in
- 1:20:34front, they'll manage that pace and they won't really be pushing
- 1:20:37it too hard through most of the race.
- 1:20:38And then they'll wake it up towards the end because they set
- 1:20:41their bike up to work a little bit better when the tires drop
- 1:20:43off. So it's a it's going to be
- 1:20:46interesting, you know how they do this.
- 1:20:49The good thing is this particular track, it's pretty
- 1:20:52use usually it's pretty good weather.
- 1:20:55It's a dry track for the most part.
- 1:20:58You know, once in a while you might get it rain there.
- 1:21:00But you know, I think it's going to be a good race.
- 1:21:03I mean, again, Spanish rounds or let's see what the attendance is
- 1:21:06going to be. I think that's that's the bigger
- 1:21:08number. Are the Spaniards going to come
- 1:21:09out and try to outdo the French? You know it.
- 1:21:13Come on, you already know that. I think.
- 1:21:14I think Lewis might be the new weather man though.
- 1:21:16Calling wrong weather patterns? Nah.
- 1:21:18Man, I'm that's, that's, that's the, that's the French, man
- 1:21:27French, we always. See right now, man, what?
- 1:21:32So. Oh God.
- 1:21:35All right, so you'll be, you'll be me.
- 1:21:38You and Reese will be at Motor America this Friday, Saturday.
- 1:21:42Yeah, this Friday, Saturday, man, let's top it up and have
- 1:21:45some good, have some fun. Let's chop it up.
- 1:21:47Let's let's eat some Mission chips and get some pictures of
- 1:21:50us eating Mission ship together so Mission knows that we we
- 1:21:53support them all. Right, I'll, I'll take the
- 1:21:56photos while you eat mission chips.
- 1:21:58And but you know, I do support them.
- 1:22:01I just don't eat chips like that.
- 1:22:04But. We're going to have some fun for
- 1:22:06sure. We got Moto America, Moto GP and
- 1:22:11we're a super bike this weekend. Yeah, we do, man, Me too.
- 1:22:16Well, we don't. We don't even need to bet who's
- 1:22:18going to win World Super Bike so.
- 1:22:20No, I'm not even betting that. And I'm like, I'm wasting my
- 1:22:23money. I'm on, Ika.
- 1:22:24Come on, man. I'm on.
- 1:22:25Ika, Ika, Ika. I'm on the underdog.
- 1:22:27He's on. He's on, he's on.
- 1:22:30He needs a. He needs a steal.
- 1:22:32One, he's not going to do it, man.
- 1:22:34If if he wins one, he's going to win more.
- 1:22:37I need this to just get that one.
- 1:22:39No, I think if he wins 1, you know, it breaks, it breaks that
- 1:22:42seal and and it makes the second one's always easier than the
- 1:22:45first. The first has a lot of pressure
- 1:22:47to it, but as long as Bouliger can keep the tire, you know,
- 1:22:52rubber side down, man, he's just going to be so hard.
- 1:22:55Like I honestly think, man, I think he's trying to set like a
- 1:22:57new consecutive St. record of like 20.
- 1:23:01Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's he's, he's.
- 1:23:03He's trying to even stand. Yeah, he he's going to try to
- 1:23:06sign everybody for the season if he can, which is exciting, but
- 1:23:09we'll find out this weekend. Well, I want to thank you guys
- 1:23:12for coming now. My name is Rex 45.
