- 0:56Speaker 3: we're just plugging along man having.
- 0:57Speaker 2: A good time.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Mikey Is he rattled off those names. Seemed very impressed
- 1:01Speaker 1: that as well.
- 1:02Speaker 4: I mean, of course it's impressive.
- 1:04Speaker 5: I just my mind went a different place and I'm
- 1:07Speaker 5: wondering how the hell do I become the Tiger.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Woods of anything? Like, what do I have to do
- 1:11Speaker 4: to become the Tiger Woods of anything in this life?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Justin Ray.
- 1:16Speaker 3: By the way, Justin Ray is blowing up and I'm
- 1:19Speaker 3: so happy he's doing the PGA Tour stuff.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Now he's going to do some TV shows. Justin Ray.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I met Justin when he was an ESPN researcher and
- 1:27Speaker 3: we just hit it off. First time we ever worked
- 1:29Speaker 3: together was at the twenty ten US Open a Pebble Beach.
- 1:31Speaker 3: And this guy just has a database of golf information.
- 1:34Speaker 3: I could say to him, Hey, Justin, how many times
- 1:37Speaker 3: did babe Didrickson? Zahari has hit the fairway in the
- 1:40Speaker 3: nineteen forty three US Open and five seconds, It'll be
- 1:43Speaker 3: sixty three percent of the time.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I mean, like, he's unbelievable. He's unbelievable.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Like he had this great nugget yesterday with Scotty Scheffler winning.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Scotty Scheffler won by eight shots yesterday, the second win
- 1:54Speaker 3: of the year. It was the second time he's had
- 1:58Speaker 3: a win of eight or more shots in his career.
- 2:00Speaker 3: That's tied for the second most in the last forty years.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Number one is Tiger who did.
- 2:04Speaker 2: It ten times. That's that's how he works, That's how
- 2:08Speaker 2: he rolls.
- 2:09Speaker 4: So he's the mel Kuiper of golf information the way Mel.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Kiper wants to be the Justin Ray Wow.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Wow.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm not certain if I'm impressed with him Mel and
- 2:22Speaker 1: I love Mel who or if I want to love Mel.
- 2:23Speaker 6: I know you love Mel.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You have to have to you have to couch it
- 2:28Speaker 1: under the I love Mel Kuiper before you say it,
- 2:30Speaker 1: not on the back end. I'm not certain if I
- 2:32Speaker 1: should be impressed with this person, or if I could
- 2:35Speaker 1: tell him the geind of life.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I mean, seriously, no, no, no, Justin is Justin is awesome,
- 2:40Speaker 3: like he is awesome. He's also a part of the
- 2:43Speaker 3: US men's Ryder Cup team now going to work with
- 2:45Speaker 3: the database and help them try and get better in
- 2:47Speaker 3: alternate shots.
- 2:48Speaker 2: He did the same thing at the Solheim Cup.
- 2:49Speaker 4: YEP.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Before he got there, they had lost the last three
- 2:52Speaker 3: alternate shots. They haven't lost one since he's just He's money.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Justin Ray is money.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Trey.
- 2:58Speaker 1: The last time I saw you, we were in Lake Tahouse.
- 3:01Speaker 1: We were at the karaoke party.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Uh.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It was fantastic. It was fun. Your Your wife is amazing, amazing,
- 3:09Speaker 1: track love her. But you and I were debating a
- 3:12Speaker 1: couple of things as it relates to karaoke.
- 3:15Speaker 6: One help me out here because the guys I don't.
- 3:17Speaker 6: I feel like they.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Don't believe me and they don't support me. Baker Mayfield
- 3:20Speaker 1: was truly awful. He thought that he won the karaoke contest,
- 3:23Speaker 1: but he was truly awful.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Correct, can confirm. And again, I love Baker. I love Baker.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I want to be clear.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I think Baker's great, but Baker is not was not
- 3:36Speaker 3: even on the podium in terms of karaoke. Marcus Allen
- 3:40Speaker 3: was amazing. Yes, DeMarcus Ware was incredible. I mean there
- 3:45Speaker 3: was some real oh Anica Shornstem and her husband crushing
- 3:48Speaker 3: Abba was together as a deal with outfits.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Love Baker, but absolutely not.
- 3:55Speaker 1: But Baker thought, but Baker felt when he was up there,
- 3:58Speaker 1: Baker felt like he was killing it.
- 4:00Speaker 6: Correct.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I mean, you know he.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Was probably socially lubricated as we all were that evening,
- 4:07Speaker 3: and you know I was enjoying himself.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Yes, you were very upset because was it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Owen Wilson, who was the singer who was performing at
- 4:15Speaker 1: a karaoke contest.
- 4:16Speaker 6: You didn't like that, right, Yeah, you can't have a Jacoben.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I'm sorry, I just called the mud when Wilson Owen Wilson.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all good. It was a long time.
- 4:24Speaker 2: They all run together.
- 4:25Speaker 3: They're all doing a golf thing with either you know,
- 4:28Speaker 3: yeah Pull or Netflix.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And Will Ferrell's involved in all of it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: So Jacob and who I once thought was Aaron Rodgers,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I once thought he was the Jets quarterback.
- 4:35Speaker 6: I confused them. They look alike.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Jacob and was up there doing karaoke. He's a professional singer.
- 4:40Speaker 1: He performed the night before at a real concert. And
- 4:43Speaker 1: Trey had issues with a real performer taking part in
- 4:46Speaker 1: a karaoke contest.
- 4:47Speaker 2: No, I mean, I agree.
- 4:49Speaker 3: It's it's like when you know, you play a pro
- 4:52Speaker 3: am somewhere or not a prom. You're playing in a
- 4:54Speaker 3: golf tournament somewhere, and somebody brings a guy that was
- 4:57Speaker 3: a former professional golfer.
- 4:58Speaker 6: No, you can't win.
- 5:00Speaker 2: You can't win. That's illegal, Trey, That's all right.
- 5:04Speaker 5: But Stu glossed over this when he said he thought
- 5:07Speaker 5: that was Aaron Rodgers. He interviewed him like four podcasts
- 5:13Speaker 5: as Aaron Rodgers and Jacob went to his credit just
- 5:16Speaker 5: rolled with it.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yes, that's that's that's kudos to him. By the way,
- 5:20Speaker 3: did you notice I thought Rob.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Riggle was starting to look like Aaron Rodgers. Did you
- 5:24Speaker 2: not see the resemblance there? Like that was thick Aaron Rodgers?
- 5:27Speaker 6: Yes, uh Riggs funny. Yes, he is starting to look
- 5:31Speaker 6: like it looked like him.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Look at the picture, he's starting to look like Aaron Rodgers.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yes, Trey, you love football. How happy were you over
- 5:38Speaker 1: the weekend? I know it's preseason? How do you do preseason?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Were you happy just to have football on your television screens?
- 5:45Speaker 4: Kind of?
- 5:46Speaker 3: And I think we all are right, and we're all
- 5:47Speaker 3: we all get into this hyper drive like I was.
- 5:50Speaker 2: First of all.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I was happy to have it. But I see it
- 5:53Speaker 3: as a distraction. I see it as, oh, there's something
- 5:56Speaker 3: going on. You know, we get to the point where
- 6:00Speaker 3: we talk about it so much when we don't have
- 6:02Speaker 3: it that as soon as we get.
- 6:04Speaker 2: It, we overload and over care about this stuff.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Like you know, somebody called once and said that was
- 6:12Speaker 3: the greatest Hall of Fame game we've ever seen, which
- 6:16Speaker 3: is like saying that's the greatest wind sprint i've ever seen,
- 6:19Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Like, I was scrolling through
- 6:22Speaker 3: Instagram today and some guy I don't know who he is.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm sure he's really good at what he does, but
- 6:26Speaker 3: he was breaking down film of the Ravens defensive calls
- 6:31Speaker 3: in their preseason games, Like, and I swear to got
- 6:33Speaker 3: he said this, this is the greatest call in preseason
- 6:37Speaker 3: so far.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Wow, all right, sure, nay.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I mean, first of all, it's the first week he's
- 6:47Speaker 3: killed this still get this call by Jesse Minter and
- 6:50Speaker 3: this they tipped off what they're doing in And she's like,
- 6:54Speaker 3: everybody just relaxs. Okay, let's let's enjoy preseason football responsibly.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Like I put this out there on the Straight Backs
- 7:00Speaker 3: on We podcast, part of the Wingo Network. Understand what
- 7:03Speaker 3: you're watching and what you're not watching. Right, we all
- 7:06Speaker 3: want football. It's great, it's exciting. But to compare a
- 7:08Speaker 3: preseason game to a regular season game, and you've heard
- 7:11Speaker 3: me say this before, is like comparing a black bean
- 7:13Speaker 3: burger to a wygu beef smash burger.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Technically they're both burgers, but they could not be more different.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Okay, So just appreciate what you're seeing and what you're
- 7:23Speaker 3: not seeing like, none of these coaches are game planning
- 7:26Speaker 3: for anybody.
- 7:27Speaker 2: They're basically, especially in the first week.
- 7:29Speaker 3: All these coaches and coaching after are trying to do
- 7:31Speaker 3: is we've taught these players to do this. Now, let's
- 7:35Speaker 3: see if they can do it when there's a game simulation.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Do you remember years ago when Jamis was still with
- 7:42Speaker 3: the Bucks and I can't remember who the cod he
- 7:45Speaker 3: used to be, Merrill Hodge's college coach. He bounced around
- 7:49Speaker 3: for a long time. Dak starts with a D. I
- 7:53Speaker 3: can't remember anyway, So Jamis did this incredible play where
- 7:55Speaker 3: he was running around throwing the ball and threw it backward.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Dirt Cutter, Dirt Cutter. It was Dirk Cutter.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Feel better, feel better, don't you? Yes?
- 8:03Speaker 2: I do, Yes, that was going to drive I would
- 8:06Speaker 2: have woken up at three am. It's a Dirk Cutter
- 8:09Speaker 2: you're talking about.
- 8:10Speaker 3: So Jamis runs it around and throws this ridiculous pass
- 8:13Speaker 3: that was intercepted at the goal line, and he runs
- 8:15Speaker 3: over the sidelines and Dirt Cutter has his hand drum saying, now,
- 8:18Speaker 3: look that was a real football game.
- 8:19Speaker 2: That was really fucking stupid, right.
- 8:21Speaker 3: So even the coaches know, this is not real football.
- 8:25Speaker 3: It's a simulation. It's like Beatlemania. It's not the Beatles,
- 8:29Speaker 3: but an incredible simulation, you know. So just appreciate what
- 8:33Speaker 3: it is and understand what it isn't and then you'll
- 8:35Speaker 3: enjoy it much better.
- 8:36Speaker 6: Tray.
- 8:37Speaker 1: With all that being said, I have Ty Simpson as
- 8:39Speaker 1: the MVP of the preseason so far.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Congratulations, that's wonderful.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I'm at the point in my life where people say
- 8:48Speaker 3: things that like that.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I'm like, good for you.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Man, I wish I cared that much.
- 8:54Speaker 5: But just speaking of Ty Simpson, is there any quarterback
- 8:58Speaker 5: that you've seen so far that you got, oh huh,
- 9:01Speaker 5: he actually might be a whether it's Simpson club Nick,
- 9:05Speaker 5: I mean, Anthony Richardson was showing something and Carson Back,
- 9:09Speaker 5: all these guys.
- 9:11Speaker 4: They came in with questions and you go, you know
- 9:13Speaker 4: what they looked all right?
- 9:13Speaker 1: I was telling Sims, Chris Sims, I was telling him,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I had that moment that wow, that looks it looks
- 9:19Speaker 1: good to me.
- 9:20Speaker 6: With Drew Aller from the Steelers.
- 9:23Speaker 3: He look he played great. Yeah, but again, it's a
- 9:26Speaker 3: it's a base defense. There's not really game planning for
- 9:29Speaker 3: what no one. For example, no one.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Who the Steelers play in the preseason was the Packers, right,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:38Speaker 6: I wasn't expecting follow ups. I'm sorry, I thank you,
- 9:41Speaker 6: You're welcome.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Uh.
- 9:42Speaker 3: There's not a single person on the on that the
- 9:46Speaker 3: posing defense after the Look, this is what we think
- 9:47Speaker 3: Drew Aller's tendencies are, this is what he likes to do,
- 9:50Speaker 3: this is what he struggled with.
- 9:51Speaker 2: So let's force him to do that. Like none of
- 9:53Speaker 2: that happens.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Okay, Now, you want the player to look good if
- 9:57Speaker 3: you'd rapping, like, for example, Fernando Mendozo, right, everyone, Oh
- 10:01Speaker 3: it looked great. I actually had somebody say I saw
- 10:03Speaker 3: somebody on Twitter. I see shades of Burrow and Brady
- 10:07Speaker 3: and Mahomes. I'm like, stop, just stop. You don't you don't, Yes,
- 10:12Speaker 3: you don't, you don't.
- 10:13Speaker 2: You know, you don't.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Maybe one day, but not today.
- 10:17Speaker 3: No. I mean, you want them to look good, and
- 10:19Speaker 3: you certainly want them to look good as supposed to
- 10:22Speaker 3: look terrible.
- 10:23Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, it doesn't mean much.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Like it doesn't mean much until we get into when
- 10:29Speaker 3: the real whistles going and the bullets are flying and
- 10:33Speaker 3: this guy they're game planning for you, right, they're game
- 10:36Speaker 3: planning for you.
- 10:37Speaker 2: That's when it's very different.
- 10:38Speaker 3: So you want them to be able to execute the
- 10:41Speaker 3: things that they've been taught. And there are certain things
- 10:43Speaker 3: that you can find a preseason that are great. Any
- 10:45Speaker 3: hustle play will get you on the team.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I think it was was it barkiebus Mingo or whatever
- 10:51Speaker 2: the Mingo is for the Cowboys.
- 10:52Speaker 3: They're the wide receiver Jonathan Mingo. Hustle play, never gave
- 10:59Speaker 3: up on special teams, will be able to take tackle
- 11:01Speaker 3: the guy thirty yards down the field, that'll get you around.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I think there's a Giants linebacker that chase somebody down
- 11:07Speaker 3: fifty yards on a play that'll get you noticed. You know,
- 11:10Speaker 3: that's good stuff. So there are things that you can
- 11:13Speaker 3: do in preseason that will help your cause. But don't
- 11:16Speaker 3: overreact to it because it's so simplified and it's very
- 11:19Speaker 3: very different than what's going to be happening in the
- 11:20Speaker 3: regular season.

- 13:14Speaker 6: Dray, what did you make of Anthony Richardson?
- 13:16Speaker 1: I thought, you know, to me, he's a fascinating guy
- 13:18Speaker 1: from the standpoint he was drafted on potential. I was
- 13:22Speaker 1: surprised to see he was still with the cults, if
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm being honest with you.
- 13:25Speaker 6: But he did look good. He did look I know
- 13:27Speaker 6: it's preseason, Trey.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'm not trying to get carried away, but we do
- 13:29Speaker 1: have proof that this guy could do it during the
- 13:31Speaker 1: regular season in Spurts.
- 13:34Speaker 6: What do you make of Anthony Richardson?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Look, the thing for Anthony going forward is that I.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Don't take much out of the fact that he's a
- 13:42Speaker 3: big athletic guy and he did some things that were
- 13:45Speaker 3: functional to me.
- 13:47Speaker 2: The two things with.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Anthony richardson, are can you stay healthy? Because that's been
- 13:51Speaker 3: his biggest issue, and can you progress? I mean, you
- 13:54Speaker 3: go look at his numbers. You know, we're talking around
- 13:58Speaker 3: the we're covering on fifty percent for his career, maybe
- 14:01Speaker 3: under that fir his career as that we're talking about.
- 14:03Speaker 3: So yeah, you want to see him progress. But I'm
- 14:05Speaker 3: not going to take a lot of what I saw
- 14:07Speaker 3: in that game from Anthony Richard and make it think
- 14:10Speaker 3: make me think differently.
- 14:11Speaker 2: About what I know about what he's been in the pros.
- 14:14Speaker 3: It is kind of funny, right, Like he was billed
- 14:16Speaker 3: as the most athletic, the strongest, the fastest athlete.
- 14:20Speaker 2: We've ever seen at quarterback.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Dude can't stay on the field right and can't complete
- 14:25Speaker 3: fifty percent of his throw. So like, when I start
- 14:28Speaker 3: seeing him string games together, if he goes somewhere, if
- 14:31Speaker 3: he plays or he has to play because of injuries
- 14:33Speaker 3: in Indianapolis, and we're talking about fifty five sixty percent completion,
- 14:38Speaker 3: then I'll have a different opinion.
- 14:40Speaker 2: But until then, I'm not.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Going to base much on what I saw in Week
- 14:44Speaker 3: one of preseason, knowing what I've already seen in the
- 14:47Speaker 3: regular season.
- 14:48Speaker 1: If you're the Raiders, do you go with Mendoza or
- 14:50Speaker 1: Cousins week one?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Well, I first of all, their offensive they've got to
- 14:55Speaker 3: feel better about their offensive line if they're going to
- 14:58Speaker 3: put Mendoza in there now. I believe they made the
- 15:01Speaker 3: trade for Tyler a trade or sign free agent, I
- 15:03Speaker 3: can't remember what it was. The acquisition of Tyler Lindebaum
- 15:06Speaker 3: the center from the Ravens was an indication that they
- 15:09Speaker 3: want to start Mendoza sooner rather than later, because if
- 15:12Speaker 3: you look at what happened to cam Ward last year
- 15:14Speaker 3: at Tennessee behind a really crappy offensive line, I mean,
- 15:16Speaker 3: he just got the crap beat out of him, and
- 15:18Speaker 3: you don't want to do that to the guy you
- 15:20Speaker 3: take number one overall, So the move bike Linderbaum I
- 15:23Speaker 3: think was one of the more underrated signings and underrated
- 15:26Speaker 3: pickups of the entire offseason because it basically said, Tyler
- 15:30Speaker 3: Lindbaum is not only an unbelievable center, but the center
- 15:32Speaker 3: calls all the blocking protections right, so he's telling everybody
- 15:35Speaker 3: else where to go and what to do. That move
- 15:38Speaker 3: is an indication to me that sooner rather than later,
- 15:41Speaker 3: they really want to have Fernando in there. Now, Kirk
- 15:43Speaker 3: Cousins are going to go in there and say, hey,
- 15:45Speaker 3: it's my job to lose. But if they lose their
- 15:47Speaker 3: first two or three games, I don't think Kirk Cousins
- 15:51Speaker 3: is going to be riding that out.
- 15:53Speaker 2: They need to get Fernando in there.
- 15:55Speaker 3: But they do need to make sure that that offensive
- 15:57Speaker 3: line gave up more sacks than anybody last year. They
- 16:00Speaker 3: were terrible against the run. They were really bad last
- 16:04Speaker 3: year that offensive line. They need that line to be better.
- 16:07Speaker 3: If they're going to put Mendoz out there, what.
- 16:09Speaker 6: Do you do in Cleveland? Deshaun Watson or should or Sanders.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It's a tough one, it really it is, because you
- 16:18Speaker 1: have a coach who wants to win, and he might
- 16:20Speaker 1: think that Deshaun Watson gives his team the best chance
- 16:23Speaker 1: to win, but no one wants that guy to start.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I mean, well, I mean it's it's kind of like
- 16:28Speaker 3: you know that the GM is still there that made
- 16:31Speaker 3: that deal, and it will go down as the worst
- 16:32Speaker 3: deal in the history of the National Football League.
- 16:34Speaker 2: It's why it's never been replicated. Right out there, Yeah, yeah,
- 16:38Speaker 2: well two was close.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yes, this was every dollar was guaranteed for a guy
- 16:42Speaker 3: who had issues, yes, and was not playing like the
- 16:45Speaker 3: guy that should have gotten that contract maybe a couple.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Of years ago. I really don't know what they're gonna do.
- 16:50Speaker 3: I mean, you know, outs they've they've lost their best
- 16:53Speaker 3: defensive player, but they've drafted really well in the past.
- 16:56Speaker 3: You know, the defensive rookie they had last year was amazing.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I kind of think there probably are leaning towards Deshaun Watson,
- 17:04Speaker 3: But at some point you have to find out what
- 17:06Speaker 3: you have with the other guy right in Shador, And
- 17:08Speaker 3: you can't have a rational opinion on shud Or Sanders
- 17:11Speaker 3: right if you love him, Oh, you're just sucking up
- 17:14Speaker 3: to the family. And you say he's got some issues,
- 17:16Speaker 3: you're a hater. You know how about this played okay?
- 17:21Speaker 3: And we have no idea what he's gonna be yet.
- 17:23Speaker 3: So to me, I would want to see what he has.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I would want to see what Shador can be from
- 17:28Speaker 3: an organizational standboy.
- 17:29Speaker 2: But John, to your point, I just called you.
- 17:31Speaker 6: John, you did weird? What happened? To your point?
- 17:34Speaker 2: To your point, Todd Mounkin doesn't give a shit.
- 17:37Speaker 3: He's got a win or he's gonna get Stefanski like
- 17:39Speaker 3: every other coach has ever been in Cleveland.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you's got to win.
- 17:43Speaker 1: What happened there with a John I mean I was
- 17:45Speaker 1: alarmed by it. I didn't even know how to respond.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Drew Aller took over my brain for the second. You're
- 17:53Speaker 2: a cutter, invaded my cerebellum. I don't know what was
- 17:56Speaker 2: going on.
- 17:58Speaker 1: The Jackson Dart stuff is injured thing. He doesn't like
- 18:00Speaker 1: going to the Blue Tent.
- 18:01Speaker 6: He lives there.
- 18:02Speaker 1: If you have mail, you can just send it to
- 18:04Speaker 1: the Blue Tent. Jackson Dorrit will be there to get it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I would tell him to stop running so much and
- 18:09Speaker 1: stop throwing his body around like a crazy person. The
- 18:12Speaker 1: NFL lost a lawsuit because of concussions. They're going to
- 18:16Speaker 1: they're gonna send guys to the Blue Tent, or instructed
- 18:18Speaker 1: teams to send their quarterbacks or any player to the
- 18:21Speaker 1: Blue tent when they think there's a concussion.
- 18:22Speaker 6: What do you think?
- 18:24Speaker 2: Yeah, look, first of all, that one wasn't on him.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I mean, the back just blew. The assignment got waxed.
- 18:29Speaker 3: But you know, I remember him saying last year, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 3: I look, man, I see my teammates running hard, and
- 18:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna do that for them.
- 18:36Speaker 2: No, don't do that for them.
- 18:38Speaker 3: As Herm Edwards once told me, know when the journey
- 18:40Speaker 3: is over, Like, the best thing Jackson Dart you can
- 18:43Speaker 3: do is not take those hits because the best ability
- 18:47Speaker 3: in football is availability, especially at the quarterback position. So
- 18:51Speaker 3: you need to do whatever you need to do to
- 18:54Speaker 3: not take those hits Like that one on Saturday was
- 18:57Speaker 3: not his fault.
- 18:58Speaker 2: The back blue was assignment and he got blown up.
- 19:00Speaker 3: But Dart takes too many risks with his body and
- 19:03Speaker 3: he's not a big enough guy. He's not Josh Allen.
- 19:05Speaker 3: He doesn't have that stature. He's gonna get wrecked in
- 19:09Speaker 3: the NFL if he continues to do this. In fact,
- 19:11Speaker 3: the way he's playing, I might think that Cam Scatibow
- 19:14Speaker 3: and Jackson Dart may check out at the same season
- 19:16Speaker 3: the way things are going, Like, dude, you are not
- 19:19Speaker 3: helping yourself. You are not helping yourself, and you need
- 19:22Speaker 3: to start helping yourself and understand by helping yourself, you're
- 19:25Speaker 3: actually helping your team.
- 19:27Speaker 1: He tells his offensive line and that spot, Hey, I
- 19:28Speaker 1: don't need your help getting concussions.
- 19:30Speaker 6: I'll get him on my own. Blog for me, it's crazy.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and fall down like one of Peyton Manning's best
- 19:38Speaker 3: skills and pop man, they just fell down that.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Nope, not gonna do that. I'll live to fight another day.
- 19:44Speaker 6: Go ahead, Mike Trey.
- 19:46Speaker 5: I can't remember a season, save for maybe the Patriots
- 19:49Speaker 5: back with Moss, where we've thought this team or the
- 19:53Speaker 5: field as much as we do with this Rams team,
- 19:56Speaker 5: considering all they brought in with Miles Garrett, potential, Aaron
- 20:00Speaker 5: Donald coming.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Back, Tyson.
- 20:01Speaker 4: You think that, well, come on now, said they have a.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Backroup in case Stafford goes down. I mean, anyway, go ahead.
- 20:12Speaker 5: How much do you buy into this Rams team that
- 20:14Speaker 5: it's their super Bowl to lose?
- 20:16Speaker 3: Well, it's funny you say that with Randy Moss because
- 20:20Speaker 3: they didn't win the Super Bowl that year that was
- 20:22Speaker 3: they went to the Super Bowl forty two and lost
- 20:23Speaker 3: to the Giants seventeen to fourteen. I don't think that
- 20:26Speaker 3: they're at that level, but I do think they're the
- 20:29Speaker 3: prohibitive favorite. Now, look, that division is very tough, but
- 20:31Speaker 3: the Niners again are wrecked by injuries, and I don't
- 20:33Speaker 3: know how Seattle's going to be this year when they
- 20:36Speaker 3: lose their their Super Bowl MVP running back, a couple
- 20:38Speaker 3: of key pieces on defense, and they's their play caller.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Clint Kubiak is now the head coach with the Raiders,
- 20:43Speaker 3: and I think that's being under appreciated how much that
- 20:47Speaker 3: loss may may send the team back a little bit.
- 20:50Speaker 2: But the Rams are should be the prohibitive favorite.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I mean, it should be illegal to have Aaron Donald
- 20:54Speaker 3: and Miles Garrett on the same defensive line. And I
- 20:56Speaker 3: fully believe that he's going to come back. But just
- 20:59Speaker 3: to tell you how much troubled the Rams were for
- 21:02Speaker 3: the Seahawks last year. If you go back the last
- 21:04Speaker 3: seven or eight games that the Seahawks played last year,
- 21:07Speaker 3: through the last six or seven games of the regular
- 21:09Speaker 3: season then their Super Bowl run, nobody scored on them
- 21:13Speaker 3: except the Rams. Nobody scored on them. The problem was
- 21:16Speaker 3: the Rams couldn't stop them from scoring. And now they
- 21:18Speaker 3: go get Miles Garrett, They're likely to get Aaron Donald
- 21:21Speaker 3: out of retirement, they go get two corners quality corners.
- 21:24Speaker 2: From the Chiefs mcdeffie Watson. That's a lot.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Just to give you an example of how problematic the
- 21:31Speaker 3: Rams offense was for Seattle last season, Seattle only gave
- 21:35Speaker 3: up seventeen plays.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Of thirty or yards or more.
- 21:39Speaker 3: The Rams had ten of those against the Seahawks man
- 21:42Speaker 3: So the Rams offense created problems for the Seahawks defense.
- 21:46Speaker 3: The problem was the Rams defense did not create problems
- 21:48Speaker 3: for the Seahawks offense. Now they lose their play caller,
- 21:52Speaker 3: their running back, and the defense of the Rams has
- 21:55Speaker 3: greatly improved. So that's the thing I think is not
- 21:59Speaker 3: being looked at enough is how well they matched up
- 22:02Speaker 3: against Seattle, except they couldn't stop them, and now I
- 22:04Speaker 3: think they have the ability to stop them.
- 22:06Speaker 6: What an off season for Snead?
- 22:07Speaker 1: I mean, seriously, good God, I believe it's amazing. Last question,
- 22:12Speaker 1: we'll get you ad here Indiana. We've been asking every
- 22:15Speaker 1: guest this Indiana University of Indiana football school or basketball school.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Well, now it's a football school, thank you. I mean
- 22:24Speaker 2: it is. It's a football school. I mean, like, look,
- 22:27Speaker 2: UCLA was a great basketball school. Yeah it's not right now.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I mean the history.
- 22:32Speaker 3: The Yankees haven't won a World Series since two thousand
- 22:34Speaker 3: and nine, and most of their World series.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Were before most of us were born.
- 22:39Speaker 3: So when we talk about twenty six or twenty seven
- 22:41Speaker 3: whatever is in reality it was a long time ago,
- 22:44Speaker 3: and the Yankees of today are just you know, maybe
- 22:48Speaker 3: maybe they'll win a playoff game or a playoff series, right,
- 22:51Speaker 3: So absolutely at this point. Indiana historically was a basketball
- 22:56Speaker 3: school and it was one of the greatest dynasties in
- 22:58Speaker 3: college basketball history. Now it's absolutely a football school because
- 23:01Speaker 3: that's what they're doing better.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Yes, and they're doing it happily, by the way.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I mean, anyone who's the best duke would love to
- 23:08Speaker 1: be considered a football school.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I mean correct, all right, Daniel Jones has more who
- 23:13Speaker 3: plays in their There.
- 23:15Speaker 6: You go, all right, drag get out of here. I'm glad.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I'm glad we cleared the air on Baker Mayfield being
- 23:20Speaker 1: just truly terrible and gary joke, thank you for.
- 23:24Speaker 2: But very good at quarterback.
- 23:26Speaker 3: And they should have paid him because he's gonna play
- 23:28Speaker 3: great this year and it's gonna cost him even more.
- 23:31Speaker 1: All right, da, I mean, disrespect me with one hundred
- 23:33Speaker 1: million dollars please anytime?
- 23:34Speaker 6: Go ahead, exactly, all right? You want to promote your
- 23:37Speaker 6: stuff one more time on the way out here?
- 23:39Speaker 4: Sure?
- 23:39Speaker 2: Why not?
- 23:40Speaker 3: The Wingo Network, the Trey Wingo Show, Straight Facts, Homie

- 23:52Speaker 2: Check out all right.
- 23:53Speaker 1: A couple more weeks of preseason and then it begins
- 23:55Speaker 1: to try and looking forward to it.
- 23:56Speaker 2: We love talking football with you.
- 23:57Speaker 6: Thank you for doing this.
- 23:59Speaker 2: You got a guy any time, alright man, mm hmm
- 24:09Speaker 3: Mhm
