District Apologizes for Offensive Throwback | Green Bay News
Wrightstown Community School District’s “Throwback Thursday” post sparked outrage after sharing a photo of students with faces painted black—an offensive relic from the past. Superintendent Dirk Ribbens apologized, calling it an oversight and a failure to uphold the district’s values. The photo has been removed, and the district is now reviewing its social media practices to ensure future content is respectful and inclusive, reminding everyone that even nostalgic posts can carry harmful messages if not carefully vetted.
