- 4:08and I don't want to waste any time. I've got the Guru himself here
- 4:12tonight. We've got Ronald Murphy in the studio, So let's get to our
- 4:16guests tonight. Ron Murphy has been investigating the stuff of nightmares for over thirty
- 4:21years. He's investigated the things that go bump in the night and meticulously research
- 4:27the history and psychological context of miss and legends from around the world. Mister
- 4:31Murphy seeks to uncover the archetypal precedent for the monsters that haunt our collective thoughts,
- 4:39and tonight it is Guru time. Please help me. Welcome to the
- 4:44show, my buddy Ronald Murphy to be here. And I will to tell
- 4:48you, if I ever have to go off the RELs with anybody, you
- 4:54would be my first and only choice. So I definitely am your biggest fan
- 4:59and I'm happy to be here. Oh, thank you. Listen, We're
- 5:02we're we're going off the trails where we very commonly go off the rails.
- 5:08So you're you're in goodness tonight. Though it's always a good time. Like
- 5:11I said, there's a certain madness to this field, isn't there. I
- 5:15mean, I think that we go in here very sane, we will be
- 5:18leaving as a mad hatter. So it's good to kind of go in there
- 5:23just a little bit off. Yeah, we're going to be a little off
- 5:27to do the things that we do, though, you know, by by
- 5:29normal people's standards, to admit that we do this, that's true. You
- 5:35know. I went for many years not disclosing to anybody that I worked with
- 5:41that I was out in the woods chasing bigfoots on the weekends. I never
- 5:45told anybody. I just told people I was going camping, right right,
- 5:47right. That's something you know though, I will tell you this. I
- 5:50think camping is a little bit more insane than going looking for bigfoot. I
- 5:56really do. I've tried. I've attempted to be a camper. I love
- 6:00the outdoors, but sleeping in the outdoors I just have never got onto it.
- 6:05Oh I love it, I absolutely want it. Yeah, And you
- 6:11cook over a fire too, and things like that. Right, Yes,
- 6:14sometimes there's no way I could do any of this stuff. I will,
- 6:18I will look, I will live vicariously through you. Now. Don't get
- 6:21me wrong. I have been on expeditions before that required overnight camping. But
- 6:28I'm just not a fan. I like electricity very much and flush toilets and
- 6:32cable television. So I'm a little bit spoiled in that regard. Or either
- 6:36that or I have a very very low attention span. One of the two.
- 6:41Well, I have to admit something, and hey, MoMA, Catherine,
- 6:43Catherine's in the chat tonight. That's yes, okay, So I have
- 6:46to admit. Like when we go camping sometimes if we have, if we're
- 6:51able to car what we call car camping, which is where we can take
- 6:55our car there. We're not like BIV whacking, which is where we take
- 6:58like a one person tent and we in somewhere. If we're car camping,
- 7:02you can pretty much hook up anything to your plugs inside your truck and you
- 7:06can you can gland. Okay, so you can't have if you want.
- 7:11Yeah, people get real creative with it, so it's not that primitive.
- 7:15What my my dream is to get an RV eventually, right, so then
- 7:21you can go all over the place and have you come back to your little
- 7:25home on wheels. Uh but yeah, I mean in order to get out
- 7:28there, in order to find these things that go bump of the night,
- 7:31you tend to have to go a little bit off the road, you know.
- 7:34Uh but uh yeah, but yeah. Like I said, one of
- 7:38these days, you and I will get together and do some sort of expedition.
- 7:42I think that it would be a great thing. I think people would
- 7:45want to see it. I know I would want to see that. So
- 7:46we'll see what the future holds. Oh yeah, we're gonna take a film
- 7:50crew with us for that one. That would be fun, right, I
- 7:53agree? I agree, one hundred percent. Yeah. Speaking of speaking of
- 7:57which, I have one of my teammates here in the chain. Susan is
- 8:01in here. I'm pretty sure this is my Susan for my team. Sleeping
- 8:05outdoors with cryptids growling in your ear, Yes, that did happen to Susan,
- 8:07So I'm that's got to be Susan. Yes, we make it to
- 8:13bigfoots growling in our in our tent. I woke up to a dream one
- 8:18night. It was late one night, and I was dreaming that a bigfoot
- 8:20was breathing into my tent and I could see the I could see the like
- 8:24the breath coming through my tent, and I woke up. I can't say
- 8:30that didn't really happen, you know what I mean, Like I couldn't tell
- 8:33it was a dreamer if it was real. Wow. Wow. Warren Coleman,
- 8:39he had suggested that a talk that I had seen him do. It
- 8:43was probably fifteen or twenty years ago, but he suggests that if the bigfoot
- 8:48enigma is ever going to be solved, it's going to be done by women.
- 8:52And I firmly believe that we need to have I think there's a lot
- 8:56of women in the field, but there's not a lot of women that are
- 9:00are are recognized in the field. And I think in order for something like
- 9:03a bigfoot, or really any kind of supernatural phenomenon to actually be brought to
- 9:09light, I think it's going to be requiring women to do that because men
- 9:11go out into the woods with it a bit of machismo and a little bit
- 9:16of you know, bravado to them, and then they're very confrontational. But
- 9:18I think in order for these things to manifest themselves, it would be done
- 9:24for a woman, I really do. Well, you know, I had
- 9:28my son out there with me. Yesterday I went, we went for a
- 9:31day trip out to one of our areas where we researched in Middle Georgia.
- 9:35It's called the Troop Herd Corridor, and that's where I was yesterday. I
- 9:39never give out my information before I go, you know, you got you
- 9:43never know who's watching it and stuff. So we went down to the troop
- 9:46head quarter. I took my dog, my German shepherd, and I took
- 9:50my kid and uh and I don't, I don't. I never take my
- 9:52dog out there because it could be kind of dangerous. When we were doing
- 9:56actual research with our teams, Bigfoot still seemed to light dogs very much.
- 10:01Yeah, but there's almost a universal belief that that, you know, bigfoot
- 10:09will kill or injured dogs, as there seems to be this kind of uh
- 10:15you know, this worthiness by by both particular creatures of one another. Oh
- 10:20yeah, yeah, well, you know, I think bigfoots like to I
- 10:22think they're more interested and they get really curious when the kids out there too.
- 10:28And so of course I have my head on a swivel. I am
- 10:31one hundred percent ready to protect ourselves if anything were to happen, because we're
- 10:35not only getting bigfoot reports and we've actually seen bigfoot in those woods where we
- 10:41were. Uh, we came across some interesting tree structures, some arches,
- 10:46and that we're tied from the tip down to the I mean, I have
- 10:48some pictures. I guess I could show a couple if you said, because
- 10:52sometimes it's hard to tell if this was Bigfoot or human that did this.
- 10:58I want it to be here. I mean, I want to be Bigfoot.
- 11:01Okay. But when you come across a tree and these are like really
- 11:05thin trees, and it's and it's folded over into an arch and the bottom
- 11:09of it is like tied into other tree branches and like in a weird intricate
- 11:13we call it an asterisk oak. Wrong, picture, that looks like bigfoot
- 11:16right there? That was me. Okay, so it's not a very good
- 11:20picture, but maybe the audience can see it. Uh, there's a tree
- 11:24with an with an arch. Let's see, maybe this is better. There
- 11:26we go and it's super thin tree and it's being held together down there right
- 11:33here. Wait, hold on this way right here, My fingers are in
- 11:37this type of a method right here where they taste and this, and like
- 11:41I said, this is what I'm like, five eight Okay, so I'm
- 11:45not super short, but I'm not tall either. I'm five eight, and
- 11:48so this was about it my height. They're about you know, there's about
- 11:52five feet six five feet six inches in the air right here, this right
- 11:56here. So to me, I'm like, well, that could have been
- 12:00like a drunk camper or something, or a hiker or somebody messing with this
- 12:05if they know we're out there doing our research out there. So it's just
- 12:09it's just interesting to note. Super cool stuff to come across in the middle
- 12:11of the woods. But uh, but I can't confirm their bigfoots out there
- 12:16for sure because we've actually seen one. Well yeah, so you know,
- 12:22for one to do that, even if they're just playing a prank, I
- 12:26think that that would take a lot of you know, a lot to go
- 12:28out there. But the idea that it's like weaved, that's what's really impressive.
- 12:35Yeah. Yeah, And so it's not just like an animal. The
- 12:37weather didn't do that. I mean, and that's not the only one that
- 12:41was out there. There's another one down the way there. There are a
- 12:45couple of those scattered throughout the woods. So my question, ron, do
- 12:50you think that if that is Bigfoot made, could that be like a portal
- 12:54or a stargate? What do you think the use of the arches are.
- 12:58So I do believe in the idea of poor I truly believe in that kind
- 13:01of stuff, But whenever it comes to like homemade portals, I'm not sure
- 13:05if that's how they work. I would think that if you find a structure
- 13:11out there and it's not made by human being, I think then you'd have
- 13:15to look for some sort of some sort of antecedent that appears in nature.
- 13:20And we do know that great apes do build these kind of makeshift wooden structures,
- 13:28you know, and some of them are pretty intense, like for the
- 13:31bragutang and then the moungirrel and everything. So I think that that's probably what
- 13:33we're getting at now, the idea of a portal, because like I said,
- 13:39I have seen strange things happen in the woods that I assume had to
- 13:46be a portal because I don't know how else to explain it. But I've
- 13:52always well, I believe that I've seen them manifest as a form of light.
- 14:00Oh well, that's interesting because I've seen a whole bunch of light anomalies
- 14:05out in the field too. And you and I before we went live,
- 14:07we were talking about orbs. Yeah, I've seen my share of orbs run
- 14:13okay out in the field and in my house right right. So that's that's
- 14:18the thing, because sometimes they do intrude into people's homes as well, so
- 14:22instead of you seeing them out in the middle of the woods, they actually
- 14:26come to you. And it's it's a fascinating uh you know, uh undertaking
- 14:31to do research onto these things. So I had an experience. The first
- 14:35experience I had was looking for a werewolf. There was a local legend at
- 14:41this particular area there was some sort of shape shifting creature there. So I
- 14:46was out with another investigator at night and then we noticed that are all around
- 14:50us it appeared to be static electricity. It was very, very odd,
- 14:54although it was a clear night, and then our battery started to drain on
- 14:58all the equipment that we had. We turned to leave because we were both
- 15:01getting spooked because you could actually feel the environment change, as if the barometric
- 15:07pressure was changing, but there was definitely a change going on, and as
- 15:11we turned to leave, this orb emanates and it probably only only lasted for
- 15:18maybe three four seconds at tops, and it kind of ignited and it kind
- 15:24of flickered off. But the interesting thing was the light was it wasn't shining
- 15:31around, it wasn't illuminating the area around it. It was kind of internal
- 15:35glow, but it wasn't enough to light the woods around it, which was
- 15:39very strange as well. So we decided we have to get out of here
- 15:45because, like I said, we're getting spooked. And the only way back
- 15:46to where we had part was going where this orb had manifested itself. And
- 15:52as we approached the area where the orb ignited lit for whatever word you want
- 15:58to call it, off to our right hand side, we hear something following
- 16:03us in the woods. So it is my belief that when we were out
- 16:07there doing the research, there was nothing out there. There was nothing indicative
- 16:11that there was something out there with us. Now, whenever this orb appeared
- 16:15and it flickered off, that is, whenever we had this sensation and this,
- 16:22this, this, this, you know, you could hear something moving,
- 16:25you hear something breathing. I believes, as a researcher, and for
- 16:30lack of a better explanation, that that light that we saw allowed whatever was
- 16:36now following us to enter into our world. Oh yeah, yeah, you
- 16:44hear about that with even Okay, not only sasquatch sightings and dog Man sometimes,
- 16:49and I hear about dog men manifesting through trees. And I have seen
- 16:55a video where the tree did start to sparkle a little bit. Okay.
- 16:59And so my friend Barry Littleton and I we've done several shows. We've talked
- 17:03about this a lot, about trees being portals, okay, And so I
- 17:08don't know. I just think it's interesting that the dog man phenomena because people
- 17:11just say that dog Man is just flesh and bone, Bigfoot's just flesh and
- 17:15bone and blood. But there's some sort of supernatural element to all of them,
- 17:21I believe. I mean, I think you'd probably agree with that well
- 17:23without a doubt. I mean, there is there's so many people out there
- 17:27with cameras and cell phones and and and you know, things get picked up
- 17:33by happen since you know, so sooner or later something is going to be
- 17:37captured on film or digitally or whatever, and it's not happening. So the
- 17:41reason why I don't think it's happening is because we're dealing with something that's more
- 17:45than just, like you said, just flesh and blood. Right now.
- 17:49That's not to say it's not flesh and blood whenever it enters into our world,
- 17:53but it's my contention that whatever is out there is not solely of this
- 18:00particular dimension. Yeah, I'd have to agree with that for sure. Yeah.
- 18:04And you know, there's so many different types of orbs too. And
- 18:08I know my my audience has heard this story, but I'm gonna say it
- 18:11again, Uh, one of the one of the more memorable, memorable last
- 18:17times, because I go out in the woods a lot that I was up
- 18:19in the North Georgia Mountains. I live in Georgia, by the way.
- 18:25We were up in the North Georgia Mountains, and uh, and I saw
- 18:27an orange orb floating through the trees. It kind of whisked through the trees,
- 18:33almost like a blur, but it was bright. It was a bright
- 18:34orange light and it went through the trees and as it dissipated, there was
- 18:40a growl and a huff like a hoof, and it resonated, okay,
- 18:45like you could feel it. And uh, and so I immediately you know
- 18:49that me and the guy that was with me. We and there were three
- 18:52of us out there, but we grabbed our flashlights and took off kind of
- 18:56towards towards it into the tree line, UH, to make sure it wasn't
- 19:00a bear or something. But see, I knew it wasn't a bear.
- 19:03We had there a lot of bigfoot activity. So it was the first time
- 19:07I had actually seen an orange ORB that kind of manifested into something that sounded
- 19:11like a bigfoot, which I think it was big, right. Yeah,
- 19:15it's odd because very similar to the very first UH encounter I had with an
- 19:21ORB and we were again looking for bigfoot, and we smelled something. We
- 19:26didn't hear anything or see anything, but we definitely smelled something, and it
- 19:30just was kind of like instantaneous, almost like a skunk type of thing,
- 19:34but it was much more harsh than it was. It was a natural smell,
- 19:38but it was a smell that you couldn't describe. Right. So whenever
- 19:42you smell those kind of things, that's usually nature's way of saying stay away,
- 19:47right, It's a way being confrontational or territorial without being confrontational. So
- 19:52it's like, yo, you you went a little bit too far back up
- 19:56now, So we smell that. And what it happened was I was with
- 20:00two other people. We stood our ground, right, We didn't retreat,
- 20:06and we had sort of a ground for a couple of minutes waiting to see
- 20:07what happened. And that's one of the orb then was visible and it was
- 20:11a bright red orb and exactly the same thing that you had seen. It
- 20:15now goes starts going through the trees. You know, I assumed that it
- 20:19was an airplane on the horizon until I saw that it was actually not on
- 20:23the horizon. It was quite close to where we were at. And then
- 20:26it started to go through the trees and it just simply wandered along and disappeared
- 20:30and we never saw it again. But of course, like I said,
- 20:34there was kind of like a warning like, hey, there's something out here,
- 20:40you know, really don't go any farther. And then all of a
- 20:42sudden, this orb manifests itself. So I've seen enough orbs in situations where
- 20:48I am convinced that this is the variable that connects the dots of the paranormal.
- 20:56So a lot of times when the people are going ghost hunting, they
- 20:59see orbs immediately that is indication that there are spirits around right or you know,
- 21:06the orb represents a spacecraft if you're a UFO investigator. But whenever comes
- 21:11to Bigfoot and dog Man and these other cryptids. We're just now starting to
- 21:15understand that these orbs have a place within that field as well. And it's
- 21:22really one of my theories that they are able to project within our minds,
- 21:30uh, the the image of either a Bigfoot or a dog Man. And
- 21:34that's my my, my point of contention. Now that you know these these
- 21:40orbs, because they're white, they're made up of a frequency, and our
- 21:45brain function on energy, which is in and of itself a frequency as well
- 21:48too, And there is really nothing stopping some sort of intelligent sentient energy to
- 21:57interacting within our minds. So make us believe whole heartily that what we're seeing
- 22:03is real, because to us it is reel. It's our perception that makes
- 22:07it into our reality. So that's where I'm at right now, And I
- 22:11think that might be a little bit A lot of people might think that's a
- 22:15little bit awful wall, but I think that it makes a lot of sense.
- 22:18I think that we see these orbs and if we don't discount them wholeheartily,
- 22:25then there's something about these things. It's either the vehicle by which these
- 22:29creatures enter our dimension, or it is a you know, some sort of
- 22:37you know, adoreway. I don't know exactly what we're doing here, but
- 22:41I think it goes it goes hand in hand with what we are investigating,
- 22:45absolutely, because I've seen so many orbs, different types of orbs, from
- 22:49orbs in my home, dancing around my son. One night when I came
- 22:52home from the meadow where we do some research to going to corpse with man
- 23:00or this place up in North Georgia where two gentlemen were murdered. There was
- 23:03They were known Satanists and did a whole lot of rituals. Anton Levy was
- 23:08a personal friend of theirs. They were brutally murdered on this piece of property,
- 23:14and I swears right beside the Chickamauga Battlefield. We go up there and
- 23:17take pictures, and all of my pictures had orbs with faces in them,
- 23:21which I find interesting. SG Navspotter three ten. I can't see very well.
- 23:27Were these orbs possibly angels? Did you see a person inside of it?
- 23:32Now I have seen orbs with faces in them. I have pictures of
- 23:34faces and orbs, and those are usually associated with hauntings in my experience,
- 23:41right, yeah, I've never seen an orb larger than probably a light bulb.
- 23:51Right, most all the orbs I've ever seen are almost pinpoints of light.
- 23:55It looks like an led light, you know. That's the most one
- 23:57that I've been associated with. However, I will tell you that and if
- 24:03you want to, this is one of those stories that I'm going to tell
- 24:04you that I actually have coroborating evidence for. So, I was asked to
- 24:10do a program called Sasquatch Uncovered the Ridge through Small Town Monsters a year ago.
- 24:15And in that program, there was eight episodes and we would go up
- 24:19and down the Chestnut Ridge looking for evidence of Bigfoot. Now, the very
- 24:26first time we were out in the woods looking for Bigfoot, we did everything
- 24:30that people would expect to do on a bigfoot investigation. You know, the
- 24:34howls, the knocking on trees, you know, and of course all the
- 24:40trolls come out and they say, you know, you guys are making fools
- 24:42of yourself for doing this. But whenever you do something on video, people
- 24:47have to understand that we are doing a lot of things at one time,
- 24:52because nobody wants to sit and watch forty five minutes of nothing happening, right,
- 24:56So there's a bit of a double edged sword whenever it comes the video
- 25:00taping anything. So we were going through this, and we're going through all
- 25:03the motions as if you were on an expedition on a bigfoot investigation and nothing
- 25:10was happening. Just it was one of those evenings. And then Seth Breedlove,
- 25:15who was the creator of this particular adventure, we were off this old
- 25:22logging road and we hear what sounds like wind chimes coming out of nowhere,
- 25:27like in the woods, right, and it was perplexing. It was very
- 25:33metallic sounding. So the wind chimes go off, and then a few moments
- 25:41later we hear what sounds like a wood knock, just one wood knock,
- 25:45and then a very very low howl that was kind of like reverberating through this
- 25:52little hollow that we were overlooking. And and at that point, at that
- 25:57point, the or now had manifested themselves. If you care to watch it
- 26:03at Sasquatch on Earth the Ridge and it's episode two called Spectral Bigfoot, and
- 26:11it's on YouTube, so it's free to watch. So we start experiencing these
- 26:15orbs and they start interacting with us, and some people were claiming they were
- 26:19the size of basketballs. Some of them were changing colors, but they were
- 26:25definitely interacting with us in a way that normal nature type of anomalies would not.
- 26:33So I was so taken aback by what was going on, I thought,
- 26:37I need to research and study on this, So I wrote a book
- 26:42about earthlights. Lights from the Mists is what it's going to be called.
- 26:48Small Town Monsters is going to be releasing the book, and they're also putting
- 26:52together a video, you know, a documentary that will go along with the
- 27:00with the books released as well too. We just filmed today for a few
- 27:03hours, uh, and the gentleman Tyler Hall, who's doing so much of
- 27:07the groundwork, he actually, uh was out all night last night and they
- 27:11got some pretty cool footage of of orbs, you know, within the environment.
- 27:18So I think it's going to be something big. I'm looking forward to
- 27:22it. I'm very flattered that they asked me to be a part of this,
- 27:25and really, I mean I think that without that episode that I was
- 27:29involved with, I wouldn't have given it much more thought. I mean,
- 27:32I'm seeing strange things, but I really never kind of tied into my schema
- 27:37of how then how how the paranormal works. But I do firmly believe that
- 27:42these orbs, these energies are something that manifest out of the Earth themselves.
- 27:47You talked about the place where you investigated being a hotbed of things. I
- 27:51think if we look at the Earth, I do believe in lay lines,
- 27:53and I do believe in energy grids, and I think there's places like the
- 27:56Bridgewater Triangle, and there's places like the Appalachia Plateau, of which the Chestnut
- 28:03Ridges involved in places like the skin Walking Ranch and all these places around the
- 28:07world, Stonehenge and such that have these kind of places where the energy is
- 28:14much more powerful than other areas around here. And I'm also kind of going
- 28:19over the fact of the Gaia theory, which suggests that the Earth is an
- 28:25intelligent being in and of itself, and that you know, we think about
- 28:30the whole cliche of Mother Earth. But I do believe that I think that
- 28:33if we love, you know, what gives us life, it's going to
- 28:37love us back. And the idea that maybe it has this these intelligences that
- 28:45can release themselves and become independently sentient from the earth itself in the form of
- 28:51you know, for lack of a better word, elementals is basically what these
- 28:55things could be. These these these these orbs of light could indeed the elementals
- 29:00that are part of the world itself. And then you think, well,
- 29:03what are those things? And if we would go back a little bit in
- 29:06time, then elementals then become fairies. So it's kind of like this circular
- 29:10type of thing where we necessarily have to go back in time to find an
- 29:15answer for what we're seeing today. Wow, that is fascinating. And orbs
- 29:21are something that have been was just surrounding me my entire life. I have
- 29:25seen orb I've actually seen orbs that were green. I woke up one night
- 29:29that you know, my little brother passed away back almost twenty years ago in
- 29:33an accident, and so I woke up one night the week that he passed
- 29:37away, and all these green orbs were floating all around the room and they
- 29:41started to form into my brother, my brother, and yeah, it was
- 29:47it was wild. I mean, I've seen a lot of different types of
- 29:49orbs, but so those were green, of all things, I don't think
- 29:56I've ever seen green orbs since then. That was the only time I'd ever
- 29:59seen green orbs. But yeah, a good point too. So they do
- 30:03come in different colors. I've seen white, which is probably the most prevalent,
- 30:08but I have seen striking red ones as well too, blue ones and
- 30:15red. But again, there seems to be an intensity to them, right,
- 30:21And it seems as if the colors do mean something, if it's some
- 30:25sort of you know, game or or a code or whatever it might be
- 30:29going on. But I do believe that we are onto something here, and
- 30:33the colors might actually even represent the frequency in which they are broadcasting for lack
- 30:38of the better word. So I think that they are giving us hints of
- 30:42what's going on, and we simply have to decipher what hints they're giving us.
- 30:48Yes, absolutely, the wild Berry Candy Company, hege is asking,
- 30:52are there the colors of the ords related to the chakras? Well, that
- 30:56would have something to do with the frequencies. I mean they say even the
- 31:00has shockers, right, I don't know even making that but no, no,
- 31:03no, So whenever I write, so, whenever I started to write
- 31:08this, this this book, I thought, if this is really happening,
- 31:12it's not going to exist in a vacuum, right, Like, it's just
- 31:17not happening to me. It's just not happening in the twenty first century.
- 31:19Obviously, if this was happening, it's been happening since the beginning, right.
- 31:26So as I start researching, I find out that that that in the
- 31:29Hindu religion, which is one of the oldest religions in the world, we
- 31:32have the idea of the prama, which is this sacred light, this sacred
- 31:37fire that really kind of enlivens us all right, so it's within all of
- 31:44us that makes us alive. And what your guests that suggests it is absolutely
- 31:51relevant to what we're talking about. Because if this enlivening fire is what gives
- 31:57us life, right, then obviously there's going to be other representations of it
- 32:05as well too. And the idea that the chakras are the energy that keeps
- 32:08us going and everything kind of ties us with this universal frequency that I think
- 32:15is out there. I firmly believe that there is a frequency out there to
- 32:19which we were at once tuned into. We abided by it. It's kind
- 32:23of like the universe's heartbeat, and we were all part of that, and
- 32:30whenever we decided that we were going to leave the world behind and create our
- 32:35own version of nature, you know, inventing electric lights and walls and all
- 32:40these other things that make us human and make us civilized. We have forgotten
- 32:47about that universal vibration and frequency that's out there. Don't still out there,
- 32:52but we've decided that we're no longer going to listen to it or tune into
- 32:58it. But that doesn't mean there's other things that don't dance by that music
- 33:02as well. And I think that when we go into certain places on investigations
- 33:07and we go out and we find these strange things that go on, they're
- 33:12strange to us because we don't understand. But at least in my opinion,
- 33:15we are seeing a part of nature that we have simply forgotten about it as
- 33:20part of that, you know that great forgetting it, we as a human
- 33:22race had won through. But I do believe that there are things out there
- 33:29that are intelligences and they exist, you know, the same way that we
- 33:35exist. But like I said, if we look at ancient religions, if
- 33:37we look at aboriginal religions like in Australia as well too, they have these
- 33:42idea of earth lights as well. That is the conduit between the dream time
- 33:47and our world. So it is a vehicle by which we can at least
- 33:52psychologically enter and travel to a different realm. And you know, I think
- 33:57that's a very important part of shamanism. And I think that all these kind
- 34:01of early religions really derived from the interaction with the earth itself, because the
- 34:07earth has always been sacred and it has always been you know, revered for
- 34:12for quite some time. But even whenever we are wrestling with the divine and
- 34:17we decide to start making God in our own image, we see in the
- 34:23Judeo Christian concepts of this idea of the sacred fire and the sacred light as
- 34:30well too, because we have to understand whenever Moses first encounters the Divine,
- 34:37it is in the it's in the wilderness, and it's a bush that's burning,
- 34:40but it's not being consumed by the flame. So it is this again,
- 34:45we have an earth light there, right, It's something that looks like
- 34:47you know, fire, it's igniting and it can actually interact with with with
- 34:52us. And the other point of view is as well too. As we
- 34:55get into the New Testament, we have to understand that the Holy Spirit presents
- 35:01itself or becomes tongues of flame that descend upon people. Right, So again
- 35:08we have this earthlight. So when we think about in Hindu religion, the
- 35:12idea of this enlivening white, this fire, and then you know, twelve
- 35:19thousand years later when we come up to Christianity, we have the same idea
- 35:23of a sacred fire that brings us wisdom and brings us light and life.
- 35:30Then we might be connecting dots here that have been overlooked. Absolutely. Yeah.
- 35:36And you know, I don't even think about the fairies as well,
- 35:38thank you, sovereign and cosmic wold Man. They're associated with the orbs.
- 35:43UFOs are associated with ORBS, goes Bigfoot, any kind of anything that's going
- 35:51on is associated with ORBS in my experience, and something that I found super
- 35:55fascinating are like the brown mountain lights. That's something else. I'm pretty sure
- 36:00you've probably did some research on those. I did, sure, sure,
- 36:05and I and I actually in my book that will be coming out, I
- 36:07looked at all these places around the world that have instances of lights. So
- 36:13we have the Brown Mountain lights. We also have the Marphall lights in Texas
- 36:16as well too, the Bridgewater Triangle has lights ever since the time of Washington
- 36:22Irving, who wrote the Legend of Rip van Winkle and also the Headless Horseman.
- 36:27Parts of the Hudson River Valley has always been associated with these mystery lights
- 36:31as well too. But I'm glad that one of your listeners, you know,
- 36:35brought up the word ferry, because that's why I firmly believe. But
- 36:38it's very difficult to talk about fairies now because we have this perception of them,
- 36:45as you knows, as the little little tinkerbells, right, which is
- 36:50indeed is not what they are. That that's whenever you domesticate and tame the
- 36:53idea, but in its it's our genesis. Fairies were very wildature right.
- 37:00In fact, they could not be domesticated, and they would often take on
- 37:05the form of light in order to you know, go from place to place.
- 37:09And in the Middle Ages, if we were out in the woods and
- 37:14we saw these lights, we would immediately recognize them as fairy lights, and
- 37:19we would know not to follow them because they would often lead you into dangers.
- 37:22And you know, as we go up into the Renaissance as well too.
- 37:27You know, one of my favorite writers, of course is William Shakespeare,
- 37:30and he gives he recalls an event that happened in sixteen ten, which
- 37:37was a ship for the Virginia Company named the Endeavor actually Rex in Bermuda.
- 37:46And in this retelling of the story, you know, there were creatures that
- 37:53seemed to be able to float in the air and take on a form of
- 37:58electricity and all these kind of fanciful type of wu that would have been called
- 38:04WU back then. But Shakespeare hears the story and sixteen eleven, a year
- 38:07later, he writes it down as his play The Tempest, and that is
- 38:12where he ends it on. So that was his last play. But in
- 38:15the Tempest, it's first of all with Shakespeare's first play ever taking in the
- 38:20New World, because it happens in Bermuda. And the second thing is it's
- 38:25full with a cast of characters that include fairies and ogres and all these other
- 38:31great things, because that's what people were seeing, right, that's what he
- 38:37were seeing. But it is really amazing to look at literature and look at
- 38:42the history and see that these things have been reported for forever. You know.
- 38:47One of the first you could call it abduction stories was in the late
- 38:52fifteen hundreds, and it was by Thomas or I'm Sorry by Reverend Kirk in
- 39:00Scotland, and he's described as walking, taking walk one evening and on the
- 39:07side of a hill. Again, it takes place in nature, on the
- 39:10side of a hill. A light opens up as if a door opens up,
- 39:16and he musters enough courage and he goes up and he looks inside,
- 39:21and inside the hill he sees these marvelous creatures. You know, some were
- 39:25very beautiful, humanoid looking people, you know, almost like the Nordics,
- 39:30right, but other ones not so much. So, you know, is
- 39:34this an account of a fairy visitation or was he abducted by by aliens?
- 39:39Right? Again, these gray areas no pun intended. But it seems that
- 39:45orbs are the ones that kind of link everything together. Yeah, absolutely,
- 39:52man, I mean so orbs go way back, just like UFOs go way
- 39:55back if you look in a lot of art. And I don't know if
- 39:59there's always been an I just feel like everything has been covered up and the
- 40:02truth has been held from us, and things like orbs and fairies and all
- 40:07this stuff has been presented to us in modern days though it's all mythological and
- 40:12it's not real, and it's stuff of fairy tales, right, But it
- 40:15seems like we're getting more and more sightings of cryptis. I mean I've seen
- 40:20videos of people reportedly having fairies on video. Okay it could it be a
- 40:25moth? Yes, I don't know. Yeah. You know, our buddy
- 40:30Dave Scott has a very convincing footage of what he believes to have a fairy
- 40:37visiting his daughter in her bedroom. So, you know, people are capturing
- 40:43that seem you know, rather outlandish. But what else are we going to
- 40:46do with it? You know, you look at the evidence and you say,
- 40:50well, it's not a moth, it's not a bird, it's not
- 40:52a bat. What is in her bedroom with her? Right? So these
- 40:55are these are strange, strange times. But I think the reason why I
- 41:00don't think it takes a cover up in anyway. I don't think it's so
- 41:04much a conspiracy. I just think that we were so connected to the land
- 41:07until relatively recently that everything that we consider strained now is something that's natural.
- 41:14And the only way it becomes natural is because because we would have more interaction
- 41:17with it. Right. So I think whenever we lived in the world that
- 41:21was very tied to the land and was agricultural that fairies were much more real
- 41:27and immediate. You know, people would talk about, you know, if
- 41:30you didn't treat the fairies properly or pay them the quite certain type of reverence
- 41:36or respect, they would make the milk go sour, or they would tie
- 41:39knots and horses manes and and all these great kind of rustic stories. Right,
- 41:46But there was a certain type of knowledge there that you had to have
- 41:52respect for nature at large because there was things within the natural world that were
- 41:59unpredictable and their intentions were you know, ambiguous at best, and it was
- 42:05just better. I mean, look, you know we talk about this happening
- 42:07in England, which most of it did, you know, happen there,
- 42:12But whenever the settlers came over to the New World. There's parts in Massachusetts
- 42:15certain types of the year they open up their gates to allow the bad energies
- 42:20out and the good energies in. You know, and think about Halloween too.
- 42:24The reason why we dress up is so the bad fairies do not follow
- 42:30us home and find out where we live. So fairies have always been out
- 42:34there. They've always been part of our idea of how nature works. But
- 42:38we simply forget about them. Because the more and more modern we become,
- 42:44more and more we involve, evolve into these kind of technological creatures, the
- 42:47things of the past soon kind of fade away into superstition and disbelief. And
- 42:54that's sad, you know, that's sad because I think that we have forgotten
- 42:59far more than we can ever remember, and that kind of link with our
- 43:04past is essential, It is essential. Oh my gosh, I just learned
- 43:08something tonight. I always learned stuff when I when I have you on,
- 43:14and I did not know that. That's why we dress up for Halloween.
- 43:17So the fairies don't. Yeah, so that's and so fairies also would,
- 43:24as we talked about uppear as light. Right, So the will of the
- 43:30wisp, you know you've heard of that, right, The will of the
- 43:31wisp is very light. So people believe that at certain types of the year,
- 43:37fairies would the welve between one world and the next will be at its
- 43:42thinnest. And that particular time, you know, one of these times was
- 43:45during Halloween. That's why we celebrate it whenever we do so. At this
- 43:50time, not only that can the dead come across, but so too can
- 43:53the fairies. And as they Will of the Wisp of their way through a
- 43:59village and everything. It came up with an idea, Hey, we could
- 44:02fool these things. And of course no pumpkins grow in Europe, but turn
- 44:08ups do. So people people would carve up a turnip and put a little
- 44:14ember in there, and then the fairy in the form of the Will of
- 44:17the Wisp, would come through the town and they would see this glowing in
- 44:22at the door of the house, and he would think we already got to
- 44:27them, so they moved on. It was kind of a passover. So
- 44:30the carving of a pumpkin even alludes to the fact that we were so afraid
- 44:36of fairies that we would put out a sign that they had already visited our
- 44:42house and they would leave us alone for the rest of the night. Oh
- 44:45my gosh. Yeah, you don't want to get you don't want to get
- 44:47messed with the fairies. I actually did a show not too long ago on
- 44:52change Lenks. Yes, that's pretty terrifying, Okay, having your your child
- 44:59switched for basically like a grown almost like a grown troll, like a grown
- 45:05up kind of looks like it, does it. You know, it's almost
- 45:07out of spite again. Yeah, but you know, we can connect the
- 45:12dots with the modern world too, because people report, you know, these
- 45:15alien hybrids, right, you know, they showed me my offspring, you
- 45:20know, uh, in their ship. But could it be possible that we're
- 45:23not dealing with extraterrestrials but something that is indeed part of this earth. And
- 45:29even in Shakespeare and Shakespeare again a Midsummer Night's drink, because fairies come out
- 45:32and play on on Midsummer as well too, we see that there is indeed
- 45:37a human boy that is abducted and taken to the world of the fairies.
- 45:42So that belief was going well up into the sixteen hundreds and and actuality.
- 45:47This this is this is a this is a very cool fact. It was
- 45:52up and I'm not sure exactly the year. I'm thinking it might be like
- 45:57eighteen thirty five in Ireland. This man's wife goes out and she disappears for
- 46:05like a week, right, probably on a bender or something. Right,
- 46:08but in this second age it was a little bit harder to say I was
- 46:12at the bar or whatever the case may be. So she comes back home,
- 46:15you know, and she uses as an excuse that, you know,
- 46:19she had lost time almost like an alien abduction and everything. But the husband
- 46:24said she was not the same before when she came home. She was different
- 46:30before she left. So obviously he was a changeling. So in front of
- 46:36his friends, he beat her to death and set her on fire. Now
- 46:39he was he was put on trial. He was found guilty, but there
- 46:45was exonerating evidence that maybe possibly he did kill a changeling. And he only
- 46:51served about three years that he was he was released and then, like all
- 46:55all kinds of criminals like that, he eventually emigrated of the United States and
- 47:00Harry died. Okay, that's that's really sad that that happened. But imagine
- 47:07how suspicious people would have been. And here's the thing, like they may
- 47:10not have had like pictures and and you know, you couldn't just go to
- 47:15your phone and whip out some pictures to look side by side like is this
- 47:17my my child or not? Especially with newborns. You know, it's so
- 47:22and it makes me wonder, is that why we take pictures the second they
- 47:25come out they're like wrecked up and they take their bath and stuff, so
- 47:31that we know if they're changed, which is god, that's terrifying. But
- 47:37you know, it's almost like that thing that I hear about a lot called
- 47:38the Uncanny Valley. It's like it looks like a human or a person,
- 47:44but there's something that's just quite off, just a little tiny bit off.
- 47:47There's a question is that even a human? Oh sure? Or or like
- 47:52like like you know, uh, they talk about these deer, the change,
- 47:57the the the near deer or whatever they call what you know, the
- 48:00uh, Yeah, that's right, something like uh or the no dear.
- 48:05It's something along those lines. Animals are a little off, as if there's
- 48:08something to them that doesn't quite make sense. Yeah, something it just doesn't
- 48:16make sense, It doesn't add up. That's why I say go with your
- 48:19gut. But you know, back back in the days, you know,
- 48:22with that story that you just told about the gentleman that beat his wife to
- 48:24death that he thought it was a changeling, they would do that too.
- 48:30If a parent thought that their child had been changed into a changeling and it
- 48:34was actually a fairy or a troll, they would put it in the oven,
- 48:38like do horrible things to it. So it would like torture the changeling,
- 48:45you know, the troll or the fairy. Until the parents of that
- 48:47one came back and exchanged their babies. So I mean, it's just it's
- 48:52kind of it's kind of sick and twisted a little bit and twisted, right.
- 48:55I remember, this wasn't a human right you were you were trying to
- 49:01drive the fairy. You're trying to drive the invading spirit out of your life
- 49:06or your house. Right. So in that kind of society whenever, it
- 49:09was based upon superstition and a lot of religious beliefs as well too, because
- 49:15the last time in a Christian society that you would want to do is allow
- 49:19a demonic or another otherworldly and the into your house. So that was kind
- 49:23of like your god given duty to do as well too. Now, there
- 49:27are some parents that did not go completely out on that limb, and there
- 49:30are certain types of the year, the first day of summer being one of
- 49:36these times whenever you could take a certain type of bush, usually like a
- 49:40rowan bush or something like that, and you would burn it on top of
- 49:44a fairy mound, and that would then impel them to release your children back
- 49:49to you. So there were ways to get around this without being so cruel,
- 49:53Thank goodness. Yeah, a lot of people I know have little fairy
- 49:59hous is outside in front of their houses and put the little fairy. I
- 50:01had a fairy door on a tree in my backyard for a while, and
- 50:05then say that that appeases the fairy gods apparently, you know what? So
- 50:10so I I do have them as well too. But there's there's something about
- 50:15them. So we talk about portals at the very beginning, right, So
- 50:19what the ferry doors are designed to do is to allow one world to enter
- 50:24into our world. Right, So then there's a portal of intention and what
- 50:30you're putting into your house. Now, what my kind of hesitancy is about
- 50:36this is fairies are really duplicitous. We don't know if they're good or if
- 50:43they're bad, but we know if you do have a fairy, if you
- 50:47piss them off, And it's easy to piss off a fairy, if you
- 50:51if you if you upset them in any way, your life is going to
- 50:53be a living hell. So you don't want to have them around for fear
- 51:00that you're going to do something wrong. So people would call them like the
- 51:04little folk or the we folk because you didn't want to in any way insult
- 51:08them, right, And so it was kind of a very fine line that
- 51:12you had to walk. But yeah, I love the esthetics of a ferry
- 51:17door, but I just want to let you know that that could be a
- 51:21way for these elements to enter into your home, and that might not be
- 51:25something that you not necessarily want. No, there's just so many different ways
- 51:31that these little cryptids and critters can get into your home. And I'd had
- 51:37a really, really awesome discussion with my friend Dennis Carol one day. We
- 51:40talked about magic mirrors and portals, and everybody put having mirrors in their homes,
- 51:47and televisions can be portals too, but we were specifically talking about mirrors,
- 51:52and I mean it even goes back to I mean some people even today
- 51:57will cover their mirrors when their loved ones die. Sure, yeah, that's
- 52:00right, Yeah, you don't want to catch a spirit. But people also
- 52:05go to antique shops and buy two hundred year old mirrors, Like I don't
- 52:08know who would do that. I have no idea, you know. So
- 52:13you go there, you go, okay, well there, yeah I should
- 52:16cover it. Yeah that's right. It's too late now, so you might
- 52:21as well just enjoy it. Yeah, whatever's coming in, you're not allowed.
- 52:28That's one good thing is if you buy a mirror that's old enough.
- 52:32Okay, if you buy a mirror that's old enough, fairies will not be
- 52:37able to come through. You know why Why because they used silver in the
- 52:44making of mirrors, and fairies and other unnatural creatures cannot be around silver.
- 52:51That's the reason why it will kill well were wolf. And also the reason
- 52:53why a vampire cannot see its reflection is because it contains silver and over is
- 53:00a baying against all things supernatural. Oh that's interesting. That's why people put
- 53:07horseshoes over their door. I actually, so, say you want to get
- 53:12rid of a fairy perfect we can talk about this horseship. It's made of
- 53:15iron, right, any silver, a prayer book, a bible things,
- 53:22you know. Uh, don't bring wild time into your house. So fairies
- 53:28will enter your house almost kind of like it goes through an attachment. So
- 53:31if you bring things from outside, there could be a power attached to these
- 53:37things and then they would becoming, you know, unleashed in your house.
- 53:42But you definitely want fairies to be in your garden. That's that's that's a
- 53:45must, right, So I would think that if you're going to put up
- 53:46fairy doors and do all this stuff. Keep it outside because that's where fairies
- 53:52like to live. Okay, yeah, keep it outside, keep keep it
- 53:57all outside. I was talking to somebody the other day about, you know,
- 54:00people putting the welcome mats in front of their doors. I would absolutely
- 54:05I don't have a welcome matt because you're you know, black eyed kids,
- 54:09vampires, faeries. You're not welcome in my house. No vampires, and
- 54:15and nobody, you know, soliciting and stuff. We're all loud either,
- 54:19okay, So yeah, no, no, no, Jehovah's Witnesses and stuff
- 54:23like that. Right, I understand because there are different types of creatures out
- 54:27there than just the things that inhabit the darkness, right, I mean,
- 54:32there's just there's a lot. I mean I've had I've had a black eyed
- 54:36man, a black eyed human show up at my door late one night and
- 54:39ring my doorbell and knock on my door, and uh, and I was
- 54:44not about to let that dude in my house. I don't know that the
- 54:49heck out of me. So yeah, I don't mess with anything that has
- 54:52black eyes, whether they're children or or peas. I just don't do it.
- 54:58So it's just to just make me nervous. I love black eyed bees.
- 55:04I love black eyed bees. But yeah, food, yeah, with
- 55:09that's food, you know. I gotta just put this one little comment in
- 55:14here. I was actually on a show one day and somebody in the chat
- 55:17asked if I what I thought of B E C's and uh, and I
- 55:24was I was hungry, and I really thought they were talking about bacon,
- 55:28egg and cheese sandwiches. All right, right, right, So you said,
- 55:31yeah, yeah, sure, I'm totally down for those. I'll let
- 55:37those in my house any day. Oh wow, I'm silly, but yeah,
- 55:43right, but it's it's all good. It's all good because I would
- 55:45definitely let it make an egg and cheese sandwich into my house as well.
- 55:49So when you put that, let me ask you a question. This is
- 55:52important questions we wrap things up. What kind of what kind of bread would
- 55:57you serve that on? What kind of bread? Be see a black eyed
- 56:00kid or a bacon, egg and cheese and cheese savmuch. I usually just
- 56:07do regular white bread, flat bread. That's how we stay down there in
- 56:10the South. You're missing out. If we ever go on an expisition,
- 56:16I make you one, and the key is to put it on. I
- 56:22hope your guests or I hope your listeners are writting the sown. Put it
- 56:25on an onion bagel. It will change your world. An onion bagel.
- 56:30That sounds so good. I love bagels absolutely, I'll change that. Yep,
- 56:37it'll change your world. Just don't have a black eyed kid, Okay,
- 56:39everybody, don't do it. I felt I felt really silly live on
- 56:44air that day. I was like, oh, what is a b C
- 56:46A bacon, egg and cheese. That's right, that's I don't know.
- 56:52I love to have fun here, man, These are these are really fun
- 56:54topics and can't be terrifying, but we like to We like to stay light
- 56:59over here and have a good time. Ron, This is so fun.
- 57:04Can you I can't believe we come to the end of the hour. This
- 57:07is wild flew by Ferries, dog Man, Bigfoot Sandwich. Is it covered
- 57:13the whole entire gamut? We did? We did well? Okay? Ron?
- 57:19Can you tell the audience where they can find your books and any final
- 57:22thoughts on anything orbs or whatever, any final thoughts? Right? Let me
- 57:28see, Well, you can find me on on on the Facebook because all
- 57:30the kids use the Facebook, right, so you can find me on there
- 57:34Ronald L. Murphy Junior. And go ahead and like my author page and
- 57:37then you can find out where some of the places that I'll be talking and
- 57:39everything, because every now and then I will talk on ferries. It's one
- 57:43of my favorite subjects. You can also find me, you know, you
- 57:45can email me Ronald L. Murphy Jr. At yahoo dot com. So
- 57:51I'd be looking forward to somebody that wants to talk sometimes give me an email.
- 57:54You can also find my books on Amazon. That's worth you know,
- 57:59everybody buys books from and I do have a book out on Fairies, which
- 58:02is an exhaustive historical study of fairies throughout various cultures around the world. And
- 58:09so the other question, part two of your question was final thoughts thought Final
- 58:16thought, If you are inclined to investigate or research the world of the paranormal,
- 58:28I think it is my advice to keep an open mind and even if
- 58:34something doesn't make sense, like strange little lights floating around in the woods,
- 58:39there is a reason why you are witnessing these things, and keep that in
- 58:45the back of your head, because there are more things to these kind of
- 58:49legends and these kind of experiences than meets the eye. Oh, I love
- 58:54that. Agree with you. I agree with that statement. Ron, Thank
- 59:00you so much for being here. Will you please again? I will come
- 59:05back. I will be on every single show. So you think that I
- 59:08might know it's just about you know, the the bacon, egg and cheese
- 59:14sandwich, but I have other recipes for other sandwiches as well too. We
- 59:19can get into Ruben sandwiches, which I love to make Ruben sandwiches, and
- 59:23maybe one of these days we'll have just a cooking discussion and we will name
- 59:29sandwiches after various cryptids. It's a date, man, Let's do it.
- 59:34Okay, sounds good, Ron, Thank you for being here, all right,
- 59:38We'll see you next time I see you. Oh my gosh, that
- 59:43was so fun. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did
