- 0:23Speaker 1: whoever blew the whistle? Is that you addie last time? No? No, no, no, Kevin,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you can start us off? All right, let's go. Uh.

- 0:33Speaker 1: an official sports betting partner of the NFL. Make sure
- 0:36Speaker 1: you download the Draft King's app and use the code

- 0:43Speaker 1: That's what you get, DraftKings sports Book and use the

- 0:49Speaker 1: everybody good? Yeah, says what we'll do. We'll warm up.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Two questions when I come to you, I want your
- 0:54Speaker 1: high at your way in the town you were born in. Ready,
- 0:56Speaker 1: all right? The question is what is your favorite non
- 1:00Speaker 1: dirty body part to have massaged? Of all your body parts,
- 1:04Speaker 1: it can't be a dirty part. What's your favorite non
- 1:07Speaker 1: dirty part? I tell you why because I at a
- 1:09Speaker 1: massage yesterday. I a friend of mine. There are four
- 1:13Speaker 1: of us, me and my wife, and a buddy and
- 1:15Speaker 1: his wife, and we were going to get a massage
- 1:18Speaker 1: because the women wanted to get massages. First of all,
- 1:21Speaker 1: the dudes backed out. We were like, we're good. I'm
- 1:23Speaker 1: not a massage guy. I don't like massage. If I
- 1:25Speaker 1: get injured, which happens a decent amount because I trained
- 1:27Speaker 1: probably harder than I should for no reason whatsoever, I
- 1:30Speaker 1: will get like the leg worked on on, my shoulder
- 1:32Speaker 1: worked on. I don't like just going to get rubbed
- 1:34Speaker 1: because I don't. I don't like it. I don't like
- 1:37Speaker 1: I like that, I don't like that it's greasy, they're lotioning.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't like any of it. They either go too
- 1:42Speaker 1: hard I'm too embarrassed to tell them to go easier,
- 1:45Speaker 1: or they're going too soft, and I just don't want
- 1:47Speaker 1: to go give it to me harder. There's just it's
- 1:49Speaker 1: just it's a no win for me in this situation.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I just don't like it for the most part. So
- 1:55Speaker 1: I go in now and they'll be like, what are
- 1:56Speaker 1: the areas you like to have rubbed? And I know
- 1:58Speaker 1: my areas now, and I will tell them focus on this.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And I was wear a watch. I didn't know where
- 2:03Speaker 1: I'm in the massage to at all times, so the
- 2:05Speaker 1: watch you have on now is golll in the dark
- 2:07Speaker 1: as well. It's a nice watch that's not relaxing to
- 2:09Speaker 1: the time, like you the time. Everywhere I go all
- 2:12Speaker 1: the time, I need to know the time. I didn't
- 2:15Speaker 1: know how much time has left. I didn't know if
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm having a good time, I gotta brace himself it's
- 2:18Speaker 1: about to be over. I didn't know if having a
- 2:20Speaker 1: bad time that it's only it's gonna be over in
- 2:22Speaker 1: this many minutes. Like that's me all the time. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: always got a no time. I gotta be places um.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And so we my buddy goes, I don't want to
- 2:30Speaker 1: get a massage. I don't like massages. And I'm like,
- 2:32Speaker 1: thank god, And so we can'tcel it. We cancel our
- 2:34Speaker 1: part of it. We're supposed to like three pm, so
- 2:37Speaker 1: we can't slur half of it. And so we're going
- 2:40Speaker 1: we're doing some shooting, some clay pigeon shooting. And I
- 2:43Speaker 1: don't know. I think my buddy was like I was
- 2:45Speaker 1: kicking him a little too hard, and he's like, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: guess I could go get my neck done. He's my wife.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Could you get us back in the massage? And I'm
- 2:52Speaker 1: like no, and so we go and he's really uh,
- 2:59Speaker 1: he's really no ervis. He has crazy anxiety he gets
- 3:01Speaker 1: in his own head about massages, and so he texts
- 3:05Speaker 1: like one minute before the massage goes, I don't think
- 3:06Speaker 1: I can do this, and I'm putting my phone up
- 3:09Speaker 1: in the locker right in this hand. I don't want
- 3:10Speaker 1: to have to talk him down. I don't give a crap.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go and get it over with. And
- 3:14Speaker 1: so I can hear him in the room next to
- 3:17Speaker 1: me talking to the person the whole time. So I'm
- 3:18Speaker 1: trying to get relaxed, and I'm like, all right, I'm
- 3:20Speaker 1: gonna go ahead and get to it. I wish they
- 3:22Speaker 1: would have let you pick the like the Pandora I
- 3:25Speaker 1: heart channel, Spotify channel of like an artist. I could go,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'll take John Mayor and they play all the songs
- 3:32Speaker 1: that are like John Mayor, but they don't. It's always
- 3:35Speaker 1: like with an extra flute. So just let me pick
- 3:41Speaker 1: my John. I'm not want to pick every song. I
- 3:43Speaker 1: don't wanted an ox cord. Just let me pick a
- 3:47Speaker 1: my dentist well and pick the music. I go in.
- 3:49Speaker 1: He's like, what kind of music would you like? He
- 3:51Speaker 1: has Pandora maybe switched iHeart now because he knows like
- 3:54Speaker 1: com in. I'm not sure. But I'll pick one artist
- 3:57Speaker 1: and they do the whole station of it. So I'll
- 3:59Speaker 1: go in and go like John Mayer or Casey Musgraves
- 4:03Speaker 1: or cold Play, and I go cold Play, but no
- 4:06Speaker 1: anthem songs I want. I went sad called Russia, blood
- 4:11Speaker 1: to the head. Nothing. The dentist does that and so,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but they don't do this at any massage place that
- 4:18Speaker 1: I've been to. That's fine. I go in. I'm nervous
- 4:21Speaker 1: at pimples on my back. I'm already embarrassed moles in
- 4:23Speaker 1: my back, and so I'm like, great, I get a massage.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I tell her to rub the parts that I like
- 4:27Speaker 1: rub the most. I don't even flip over anymore. I go,
- 4:29Speaker 1: don't flip me over, because that is that never feels good.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I don't like the one they're up top of my chest.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I like it. I don't know what they I don't
- 4:37Speaker 1: know what they think feels good about that, but it
- 4:38Speaker 1: doesn't nothing. I don't like any of it. One time
- 4:41Speaker 1: lady kiss me on before head, it was over into
- 4:46Speaker 1: and so I go on and get done. I'll walk
- 4:48Speaker 1: out and I'm like, okay, I felt pretty good because
- 4:51Speaker 1: I just stayed on my parts, on my parts that
- 4:53Speaker 1: I liked. And so my buddy comes out and I
- 4:55Speaker 1: was like, how did go He goes, well, I was
- 4:56Speaker 1: better than I thought it was gonna be. I was like, well,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you thought it was gonna be terrible, and he goes, well,
- 4:59Speaker 1: it was a pretty bad. And I was like, good
- 5:01Speaker 1: for you. Growth, Like it's that's good growth. But I
- 5:04Speaker 1: heard him talking the whole time. He'd be like, you
- 5:05Speaker 1: have some my neck hurts. I can hear him through
- 5:07Speaker 1: the wall because his voice is so deep. And so
- 5:10Speaker 1: I came out and almost like, I wonder a body
- 5:12Speaker 1: part that guys like that rubbed. So that's the question favorite.
- 5:16Speaker 1: And don't have to say non dirtyest. I'm not gonna
- 5:19Speaker 1: say it anymore. Somebody go yeah, non dirty body part.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I'll go first, all right, Bobby Bones six ft and
- 5:33Speaker 1: a half am I gonna go full six one and
- 5:35Speaker 1: pretty short shoes today. Six ft and a half one
- 5:39Speaker 1: seventy born in Hot Springs, Arkansas. My favorite my hands
- 5:44Speaker 1: in my feet, the very outsides of me, my hands
- 5:48Speaker 1: on my feet. I spend all day there and I
- 5:50Speaker 1: can't tell them that because I would. But I'll go,
- 5:54Speaker 1: what parts are you like, like, you know, like my
- 5:56Speaker 1: hamstrings and my calves. You can do my neck a
- 5:59Speaker 1: little bit, but if you really focus on the hands
- 6:01Speaker 1: and the feet, and then I'll throw in a and
- 6:02Speaker 1: scratch my head. Yeah, that's that for me. Adam Handbrake,
- 6:08Speaker 1: Adam Handbrick five eleven and a quarter bucks seventy uh
- 6:13Speaker 1: straight out of Corinth, Mississippi, and uh man, I've got
- 6:18Speaker 1: two massages in my life. Um. The surprise was always
- 6:23Speaker 1: how much I enjoyed my fore Your wife, though, can
- 6:26Speaker 1: do it too. It's any part from anybody, Okay, that's fair. No,
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just gonna I'm just gonna stick with
- 6:31Speaker 1: the two, the two professional massages because that seems most
- 6:35Speaker 1: appropriate to the conversation. I'm gonna go four arms because
- 6:38Speaker 1: I didn't expect to like that, but after after, I
- 6:41Speaker 1: know it's weird, but I was like thinking about because
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm ticklish. So when they start working on my bag,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm like, am I gonna like crawl out of my
- 6:49Speaker 1: own skin? And I was like, no, that wasn't bad.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And then they work through but then they got to
- 6:53Speaker 1: my forearms and like I guess I just like walk
- 6:55Speaker 1: around with my my fists clenched all day or something,
- 6:58Speaker 1: because like when she got doning my forearms, I feel
- 7:00Speaker 1: like a new man. It looks like that mean where
- 7:01Speaker 1: he's holding his fist to the sky. All right, kick off, Kevin,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you um alright, six two or well we're being honest today, right,
- 7:09Speaker 1: six one and a half shoes on, so we'll call
- 7:11Speaker 1: it six to um and about to uh to fluctuate like, yeah,
- 7:20Speaker 1: go ahead. I'm trying to think where I was born,
- 7:21Speaker 1: to be honest, I don't know for sure. I think
- 7:23Speaker 1: it's Chino, California. I think it was Gino um. And
- 7:26Speaker 1: then massage, it's for sure. The back. All about the
- 7:30Speaker 1: back every time I go in there, Hey, just stay
- 7:32Speaker 1: on the back. A little neck, little shoulders here and there.
- 7:34Speaker 1: But other than that, can do the feet, can do
- 7:36Speaker 1: the hands, none of that. Yeah, Producer Eddie Um, I'm
- 7:40Speaker 1: six foot um one eighty definitely on the high side
- 7:45Speaker 1: of one eighty there. But I'm gonna say that the
- 7:51Speaker 1: scalp rub is where it's at. Like when you get
- 7:55Speaker 1: that scout rubbed like a deep rub and the scout like, dude,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I started shaking like a dog. I'm like kicking, yeah, Mike,
- 8:04Speaker 1: the last one. Mike d walks Hatchie, Texas one seventy
- 8:07Speaker 1: five ish five ft eight. I would have to go
- 8:10Speaker 1: to the feet. I've never had a professional massage, but
- 8:12Speaker 1: my wife will about massage my feet from time to time.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You've never had a professional massage. Never would you accept one? No,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I don't think I would know. I think you have
- 8:19Speaker 1: to accept one. I think I have to and I'll
- 8:21Speaker 1: pay for it. I would like to send Mike to
- 8:23Speaker 1: a MSUs and then have a report back on this show.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's like my nightmare. It is. It sucks. It's so
- 8:30Speaker 1: I don't like it either, because I'm always embarrassed on body.
- 8:32Speaker 1: That's what it is for me. I think I could,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but you're a harry guy. To Mike like crazy, But
- 8:38Speaker 1: I imagine like when I had my butthole ripped and
- 8:40Speaker 1: they had when I ripped my butt hole on the peloton.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You know this, but you just say it like it's deal. Well,
- 8:47Speaker 1: I had to go. They've had to have seen every
- 8:49Speaker 1: kind of ball, right, They've seen a big small that's
- 8:53Speaker 1: in the shape that seems squared. They have They've seen
- 8:56Speaker 1: every possible butthole so I go in and I have
- 9:01Speaker 1: to tell myself that they've seen it all, Bud, and
- 9:03Speaker 1: tell myself that called me up. It comes up, Bud,
- 9:05Speaker 1: and they've seen it all, Bud. So go in and
- 9:08Speaker 1: have a good time. And so I go in and
- 9:10Speaker 1: I've bend over and they do it. You know, they'll
- 9:12Speaker 1: make a big deal about it. She doesn't. What if
- 9:13Speaker 1: she did? She was like, Wow, that's a weird one,
- 9:17Speaker 1: like this is the one per cent. So, Mike, I
- 9:21Speaker 1: bet you that is what it would be like Like
- 9:23Speaker 1: they've seen, they've seen all the butt holes, Micase, I've
- 9:25Speaker 1: seen everybody. Would you I'm not gonna make you do it,
- 9:28Speaker 1: but would you do it for the experience? Because I've
- 9:30Speaker 1: never done it, I would do it? Okay. Now, is
- 9:32Speaker 1: it one of those things that where it's full on
- 9:34Speaker 1: Harry and the Henderson's where they go into your back?
- 9:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, everywhere? Nice? Alright? So favorite body part though,
- 9:39Speaker 1: is what again your feet? Okay? And then okay is
- 9:43Speaker 1: that everybody? All right? Quick answer though? Second question, best
- 9:46Speaker 1: game environment you've ever been to? That's not your own
- 9:49Speaker 1: quick answer? So you go to a game, you can
- 9:52Speaker 1: even go to watch your team, but it's somewhere else. Uh,
- 9:56Speaker 1: it's It's always hard to say, but mine it's probably Alabama.
- 9:58Speaker 1: They have a really great before the games they played
- 10:00Speaker 1: sweed On Alabama. All the statues the players walk through,
- 10:02Speaker 1: it's pretty cool. Um, don't quote this. I'll never admit
- 10:06Speaker 1: to it, Eddie. I'm gonna saying my kids, my kids sports. No,
- 10:11Speaker 1: it's not. They're not my teams. I don't care about
- 10:14Speaker 1: them like their team. I care about my kids, but
- 10:16Speaker 1: I don't care about my my my kids teams. So
- 10:18Speaker 1: when I go there like game day, getting them pumped
- 10:20Speaker 1: because I'm like their coach, that's not the coach, you know.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm like, come on, boys, Like I give them like
- 10:25Speaker 1: incentives of just like hey, sorry, you you cheated on
- 10:29Speaker 1: the question, and you'll now be penalized by not being
- 10:31Speaker 1: on the show for two minutes. Alright, penalty Yeah, that's
- 10:34Speaker 1: your own kids. That's closer than two minutes, no, Eddie, alright, alright,
- 10:39Speaker 1: kick off, Kevin. I went to the Rose Bowl Wisconsin
- 10:42Speaker 1: and Oregon back in thirteen, I believe when they had
- 10:44Speaker 1: Russell Wilson and Wisconsin do Anthony Thomas Oregan. That was
- 10:48Speaker 1: by far the best environment Adam had first ballgame. Everyone
- 10:52Speaker 1: see was Arkansas l s U. I'm sorry, that's what
- 10:54Speaker 1: we said. No, no home games Alabama. The question two minutes, Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 1: penalty box, and we don't get your answer. I saw
- 11:02Speaker 1: Cubs and White Socks that guaranteed rate field amazing and
- 11:06Speaker 1: you don't care about either one of the teams. Don't
- 11:08Speaker 1: care about either of them. I just love Chicago. Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: that's not even Wrigley like, yeah, that's cool. All right,
- 11:13Speaker 1: there you go, Eddie and Hambroker in the penalty box.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's now time for the worst name segment of all time,
- 11:18Speaker 1: by the worst name person of all time. It's kick
- 11:20Speaker 1: off Kevin's five question tittle tattle. All right, Kevin, you're ready, yes, sir,
- 11:23Speaker 1: all right? Question number one. Al Right. The biggest news
- 11:26Speaker 1: story of the year has finally been resolved to Shahn Watson,
- 11:29Speaker 1: quarterback for the Browns, has been the him in the
- 11:31Speaker 1: NFL and the NFL p a recent agreement on eleven
- 11:34Speaker 1: game suspension with five million dollar fine. Bobby, do you
- 11:37Speaker 1: think this was justified? Was it enough? You guys can
- 11:40Speaker 1: blow your whistle to By the way, you're back in.
- 11:45Speaker 1: People weren't gonna be happy regardless. This is a situation
- 11:49Speaker 1: that nobody was gonna be happy. Deshaun Watson is not
- 11:52Speaker 1: a good dude. I mean, there are a lot of
- 11:54Speaker 1: things you can draw from this. You know. I was
- 11:57Speaker 1: listening to the owner of of the Brown's talk today
- 12:01Speaker 1: and he was They were like, hey, would you do
- 12:03Speaker 1: it again? He's like, yeah, I do it again, but
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'd sign him again. It's gonna be tough for that
- 12:09Speaker 1: franchise because even when DeShawn Watson went out and in
- 12:11Speaker 1: the preseas again, they booted the crap out him. I
- 12:13Speaker 1: think in Jacksonville he's get a boot everywhere. It's gonna
- 12:15Speaker 1: be like the Houston Astros after they got caught cheating.
- 12:19Speaker 1: They looked out though, because after COVID was the first
- 12:22Speaker 1: year after so they got booed. But it's like one
- 12:25Speaker 1: tenth stadium. But it's gonna be that sort of feeling
- 12:29Speaker 1: towards DeShawn Watson. I think if they would have suspended
- 12:32Speaker 1: him the whole season, I would have been like, that
- 12:34Speaker 1: ain't enough. I don't think it could have met an
- 12:36Speaker 1: expectation because what he allegedly did, Boy, there's just so
- 12:41Speaker 1: much it's hard to think that it's just bad dude.
- 12:44Speaker 1: So I'm going to go with I'm glad that it's over.
- 12:48Speaker 1: He has his eleven games, is five million bucks. It's
- 12:50Speaker 1: not gonna bother him one bit. They were expecting a
- 12:52Speaker 1: whole season. I personally would have liked to have seen
- 12:55Speaker 1: it be more, but I'd rather not see it dragged
- 12:58Speaker 1: out anymore because obviously they got the first judgment than
- 13:02Speaker 1: they appealed, and Goodel used like his boy to that
- 13:05Speaker 1: second appeal. He was gonna do whatever Goodell wanted because
- 13:08Speaker 1: the NFL does business with them. So it is over, thankfully.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I hope these women get what they what they deserve
- 13:16Speaker 1: because they did not deserve what happened to them allegedly.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And the let's let's let's I don't know. Hopefully he
- 13:24Speaker 1: grows from it, becomes a better person. Question. Do you
- 13:26Speaker 1: have to blow my whistle if I want to add
- 13:28Speaker 1: something but not disagree with That's interesting? Um, I'm gonna go.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You have to clap three times? Yeah, and do the
- 13:35Speaker 1: hokey pokey three hokey pokey. Um. So I watched the
- 13:39Speaker 1: press conference too, Did you know what I'm saying? Did
- 13:41Speaker 1: you see m apologize? Oh? Yeah, well the no well
- 13:44Speaker 1: who de seun? Well? So I have a cloud of
- 13:46Speaker 1: audio too. Oh no, I was watching the owners talk
- 13:48Speaker 1: and and I was it was interesting the angle that
- 13:51Speaker 1: they were sticking to, which was, you know, I wanna
- 13:54Speaker 1: support him, and he's shown that he's committed to change
- 13:58Speaker 1: and take and do therapy and all. But what I
- 14:00Speaker 1: want to ask me to change? So they're saying he
- 14:02Speaker 1: needs to change. Yeah, I want to ask you, like,
- 14:05Speaker 1: at what point when you do a press conference like that,
- 14:07Speaker 1: do you think you should just be like, all right, well,
- 14:09Speaker 1: we want to win, like obviously that's kind of our priority.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And but they never said that. It was all I
- 14:15Speaker 1: know that, but it was all about we support him
- 14:18Speaker 1: as a human and we want to be there for him.
- 14:20Speaker 1: So that's why we're sticking behind them. That's what they
- 14:22Speaker 1: have to say. So they can't have a shot to win.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They can't go out and go, listen, we just want
- 14:27Speaker 1: to win, So we sign a dirt bag. It's just like,
- 14:29Speaker 1: that's the truth. They can't Everyone knows that. Even they
- 14:33Speaker 1: know that. Everyone knows that, so but they can't say it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: So they go, we want to try to make him
- 14:40Speaker 1: a better human. So are you saying he was a
- 14:42Speaker 1: bad human? And you so yes, Yes, they are. But
- 14:46Speaker 1: here's the Shaun Watson saying, at some point he'll try
- 14:48Speaker 1: to tell his side of the story. I feel like
- 14:50Speaker 1: this whole process, we've been trying to tell my side
- 14:52Speaker 1: of the story, but a lot of people didn't really
- 14:55Speaker 1: pay too much attention to it. But one day we will,
- 14:57Speaker 1: only time would tell. And you know, like I said,
- 15:00Speaker 1: for just continue to keep being the person I am,
- 15:02Speaker 1: Keep showing the community how good of a human being
- 15:04Speaker 1: I am. I have always been, I was raised and
- 15:07Speaker 1: I just want to continue to show that, and you know,
- 15:09Speaker 1: keep pushing forward. Yeah, I hope he does get better.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I hope he does grow, and we he what has
- 15:16Speaker 1: been done has been done. So all you can really
- 15:19Speaker 1: hope for now is absolute growth and something better coming
- 15:24Speaker 1: from a situation that seems to be freaking awful. So
- 15:29Speaker 1: but yes, they just they want to win. The brown suck.
- 15:31Speaker 1: They want to win. They and they lost. They they
- 15:33Speaker 1: sent away their quarterback that one of their only playoff
- 15:35Speaker 1: game and since Columbus, so it's a bad situation. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: I feel bad for Browns fans. Imagine you're just a good,
- 15:42Speaker 1: solid Browns and you sat there with him, and now
- 15:45Speaker 1: you've gotta be like a root for the Browns. Oh
- 15:48Speaker 1: the dude that I like to whack off on massage.
- 15:51Speaker 1: That's tough, terrible, and so they have nothing to do
- 15:55Speaker 1: with that, has them hey at you boys? Has they
- 15:59Speaker 1: signed them? It's it is, It's bad all the way
- 16:03Speaker 1: around it. It It reminds me not the same, but just
- 16:06Speaker 1: the feeling of when I felt bad for fans was Sandusky,
- 16:10Speaker 1: Penn State, Joe Paterno, We're awful, but there are a
- 16:14Speaker 1: lot of Penn State fans and nothing to do with that.
- 16:15Speaker 1: They're passionate Penn State fans and have always been there
- 16:17Speaker 1: for their team, good and bad. And now they were
- 16:19Speaker 1: associated and still are associated because they ruined people's image
- 16:25Speaker 1: of what Penn State was. And so I feel bad
- 16:27Speaker 1: for Browns fans. One, They've just sucked for a long time.
- 16:29Speaker 1: And I know that, I know that feeling. All my
- 16:31Speaker 1: teams sucked for most of the time, and so I
- 16:35Speaker 1: feel bad for Browns fans. They've they've sucked for a
- 16:37Speaker 1: long time. But also they have a great roster right now,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and so like you feel bad for them to like
- 16:42Speaker 1: be not not really have a shot to do anything
- 16:44Speaker 1: with it. They get a real number one receiver. I mean,
- 16:49Speaker 1: the answer is to your question, I don't know. I'm
- 16:53Speaker 1: just glad it's I'm glad it works over all right?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Number two? All right, you just spoke of them. Um,
- 16:58Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield is battling Sam Donald out in Carolina for
- 17:01Speaker 1: the QB one spot. Who do you think will be
- 17:03Speaker 1: there week one when they play that on the Browns?
- 17:06Speaker 1: What has to be Baker one for TV reasons because
- 17:09Speaker 1: you can't even if it's Sam if it's close, Let's
- 17:12Speaker 1: it's not close, but let's just say it's close, and
- 17:15Speaker 1: you're like, all right, it's Baker, Sam. You don't think
- 17:18Speaker 1: the network is like, yo, ain't nobody watching this game?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Because you got a backup quarterback? And in Cleveland unless
- 17:26Speaker 1: they go and get Garoppolo, you got a backup quarterback
- 17:29Speaker 1: in Cleveland. Even then Garoppolo, who cares versus Sam Donald? Like,
- 17:35Speaker 1: nobody's gonna watch this? I mean more people watch a
- 17:37Speaker 1: snake in the grass, you know what I mean? Yeah?
- 17:41Speaker 1: I agree, And so it has to be Baker for
- 17:44Speaker 1: that reason alone. But Baker is way higher upside, the
- 17:47Speaker 1: ceiling is way higher with Baker Mayfield. And again I'll
- 17:51Speaker 1: say it, I'm a Baker supporter because when he was healthy,
- 17:55Speaker 1: he won. He wasn't not healthy last year. Yeah, he
- 17:58Speaker 1: played and he fought through. He probably shouldn't have because
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think that's hurt him and in the eye, he
- 18:05Speaker 1: may not be the best teammate. I don't know what
- 18:06Speaker 1: it's like in the locker room. I don't know, but
- 18:09Speaker 1: I think Baker Mayfield gives you a much higher ceiling
- 18:12Speaker 1: than Sam Donald because we've seen Sam Donald with the
- 18:16Speaker 1: Jets and Carolina and he has not been able to
- 18:19Speaker 1: do that. Sam Donald does not excite me. Baker Mayfield
- 18:22Speaker 1: does at least. But I like Baker. I'm Baker guy,
- 18:25Speaker 1: So I'll go Baker, all right? Next up? All right?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson said he will cut off contract talks by
- 18:30Speaker 1: week one of the regular season. If you were the
- 18:32Speaker 1: GM of the Ravens, would you be doing everything you
- 18:34Speaker 1: can right now to try to get him sign or
- 18:36Speaker 1: just wait till next offseason. I'll go to Adam on
- 18:38Speaker 1: this one. First, Adam, what do you think about Lamar Jackson? Man?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson is the most the second most exciting player
- 18:44Speaker 1: to watch the NFL to me, behind Patrick Mahomes. I
- 18:47Speaker 1: love watching him do what he does. Um, He's he's
- 18:50Speaker 1: been the he's been the most exciting thing for the
- 18:53Speaker 1: Ravens the last few years. I mean, I don't I'm
- 18:56Speaker 1: not a salary cap guy. I don't follow like all
- 18:59Speaker 1: the contract negotiate and all that stuff. But um man,
- 19:02Speaker 1: it would be a shame to see him walk away
- 19:04Speaker 1: from the Ravens. Uh. All these quarterbacks are making so
- 19:07Speaker 1: much money. And I'll tell you what, if I were
- 19:08Speaker 1: an owner, I'd be so pissed at the Haslings because
- 19:11Speaker 1: regardless of what Shaun Watson did do or didn't do it,
- 19:15Speaker 1: they gave him so much guaranteed money. Did it. No
- 19:19Speaker 1: quarterback contract with any quarterback that has leveraged from now
- 19:23Speaker 1: until the end of time will be without so much
- 19:28Speaker 1: guaranteed money that that it makes a team. It's it's
- 19:31Speaker 1: an uncomfortable contract now in an area where contracts were
- 19:35Speaker 1: already uncomfortable, they gave to Shawn Watson so much money guaranteed,
- 19:39Speaker 1: more than in ever and they did a lot of
- 19:42Speaker 1: it too on the back end, so he would make
- 19:44Speaker 1: sure to not be penalized this money taken away. So uh, okay,
- 19:50Speaker 1: So let's say you give Lamar Jackson this absurd deal
- 19:54Speaker 1: and you go You're a guy, Lamar, We're gonna give
- 19:56Speaker 1: you one good jillion dollars. Let's just say it's a
- 19:58Speaker 1: good zillion dollars and it's all guaranteed. I think it's
- 20:02Speaker 1: a good move because if you don't in two years,
- 20:06Speaker 1: in six years, in eight years, these these deals aren't
- 20:09Speaker 1: going south. Sign people as quick as you can sign them.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And if you think that's your guy, pay him all
- 20:14Speaker 1: you have to pay him, because if you don't, you
- 20:17Speaker 1: have to pay him or somebody else that's your guy
- 20:20Speaker 1: a lot more, or you got draft a rookie and
- 20:24Speaker 1: hope that works out for you. So I'm not a
- 20:27Speaker 1: huge Lamar Jackson guy. I like Lamar Jackson. I hate
- 20:30Speaker 1: play him a fantasy because he always ends up rushing
- 20:33Speaker 1: for e d and throwing four touchdowns. But if I
- 20:36Speaker 1: were the Ravens, I would just give him the whole
- 20:39Speaker 1: deal because you're going if you're going to anyway, do
- 20:42Speaker 1: it now, do it now, and go let's go um
- 20:45Speaker 1: because if he finishes this season, he's his own agent. Yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 1: If he finishes this season and he's m v P,
- 20:51Speaker 1: he's top three, m VP, has a great year, they
- 20:54Speaker 1: go deep in the playoffs. You think he's expensive right
- 20:58Speaker 1: now even more, and he's gonna have leverage to go
- 21:01Speaker 1: wherever he wants. He's doesn't have an agent, he's his agent.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And wow, that's awesome. That's a baller. That's a lot
- 21:09Speaker 1: of money to keep in your pocket. I'm not saying
- 21:11Speaker 1: they don't have consultant, the people and lawyers. He yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 1: he's his own agents. I didn't know that. And and
- 21:19Speaker 1: the difference would be I have an agent. Anything I
- 21:22Speaker 1: do they get. Now, once your deals get to this level,
- 21:28Speaker 1: it's not ten percent anymore, it's three, it's four. You
- 21:31Speaker 1: also negotiate with your agent what they're going to actually
- 21:33Speaker 1: take from you. But that's still a significant amount of
- 21:35Speaker 1: money over the time of a contract like this. But
- 21:38Speaker 1: you can also what I do is I will hire
- 21:40Speaker 1: attorneys to negotiate things, to pay them hourly if I
- 21:43Speaker 1: think that it's not even getting close to what I
- 21:45Speaker 1: would pay them if they wanted a percentage. So that
- 21:48Speaker 1: my assumption is is what they do because they don't
- 21:51Speaker 1: know the legal ease I'm assuming. Let me just assume,
- 21:53Speaker 1: because I don't, I shouldn't put that on them. But
- 21:56Speaker 1: I assume a normal person that hasn't hasn't gone to
- 21:58Speaker 1: law school doesn't know all the eagle is his mom
- 22:01Speaker 1: and the biz or she's just mom. I don't know,
- 22:03Speaker 1: you may I think she's yeah, hands and she's like,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'll help you out, like my mom's smart and cooling
- 22:10Speaker 1: all but like she wouldn't be my agent. If he's
- 22:14Speaker 1: your guy, go ahead and making me guy right now
- 22:16Speaker 1: and pay him all right, next one up, Kim. Alright,
- 22:18Speaker 1: the A P pole came out this week and there
- 22:21Speaker 1: were some big names left off and that when they
- 22:23Speaker 1: include Texas, Florida State, l s U, and Florida. So
- 22:26Speaker 1: my question to you is do any of these find
- 22:29Speaker 1: themselves ranked at the end of the season, And if so,
- 22:31Speaker 1: who's going to be ranked the highest? Well, let's do this.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Let's go around the room. Then who do you think
- 22:35Speaker 1: of the unranked team that he mentioned will be ranked
- 22:37Speaker 1: the highest at the end of the year. And what
- 22:39Speaker 1: are the teams you mentioned? Yeah, Texas, Florida State, l
- 22:43Speaker 1: s U, and Florida. I don't think it's l s U.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I think they will be good again, but I don't
- 22:49Speaker 1: think it's l s U this year. And I think
- 22:50Speaker 1: they'll surprise a couple of people. Dear God, don't let
- 22:53Speaker 1: it be Arkansas. Um, probably, I hate to say about
- 22:57Speaker 1: probably can be Texas. I do. I think Tech. This
- 23:00Speaker 1: isn't gonna think Texas gonna be pretty good. They got
- 23:02Speaker 1: him a quarterback. We think they've they're Texas is just
- 23:07Speaker 1: strong all the way through the ones and twos. I
- 23:11Speaker 1: know they disappoint every year, but I'm gonna go Texas,
- 23:15Speaker 1: Adam Man, It's gonna be tough for me not to
- 23:18Speaker 1: say Florida. UM, I don't know. I just I like
- 23:23Speaker 1: I like what they Um. I like I like what
- 23:26Speaker 1: they are looking at in the East more than I
- 23:29Speaker 1: like what Texas looking at the Big twelve. Um, Florida's
- 23:32Speaker 1: got the whole roster from Uh there are coaches from Louisiana. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 1: billionaire yeah Tech. That's it was like, okay, let me
- 23:42Speaker 1: give a transfer. Guys. They took a couple of his
- 23:44Speaker 1: old guys. Isn't from Louisiana, Like not Tech. I think
- 23:48Speaker 1: he's just from Louisiana. But because they won big they
- 23:51Speaker 1: were ranked for some of the season last year. Um,
- 23:55Speaker 1: but you're gonna go Florida. I'm gonna I'm gonna go Florida.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I like the road in the East. UM. I just
- 23:59Speaker 1: think they're I think they're gonna show they have they
- 24:01Speaker 1: have talent. I don't think it's gona Florida State, l
- 24:03Speaker 1: s U s in the West. In Texas. I just
- 24:06Speaker 1: can't bring myself to put any faith in Texas. Yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 1: I have no idea. So I'm just gonna go Florida State, Like,
- 24:12Speaker 1: why not a c C dude? They said, yeah, just
- 24:15Speaker 1: for that. I mean, if atams everything all right? Finally,
- 24:21Speaker 1: ken um the final question. Yeah, okay, these sticking in
- 24:25Speaker 1: college football here despite playing or never playing it down.
- 24:28Speaker 1: After signing an l A n i L deal, LSU
- 24:30Speaker 1: quarterback Miles Brennan will be able to keep all of
- 24:32Speaker 1: his earnings after choosing to retire from football this week. So, Bobby,
- 24:36Speaker 1: could you see this starting a new trend of companies
- 24:39Speaker 1: that are signing these kids to, you know, put some
- 24:41Speaker 1: verbage in there that ensure that their investment is carried
- 24:44Speaker 1: out by these athletes. So I will speak to this
- 24:46Speaker 1: as someone who has done multiple n I L deals
- 24:49Speaker 1: with athletes, probably ten. I don't do them for four years.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I don't sign an athlete for any longer than we
- 25:00Speaker 1: can say a year if we like, Because if that's
- 25:02Speaker 1: what you're like, I'm gonna give this kid an i
- 25:03Speaker 1: L deal to help me represent my business, also help
- 25:05Speaker 1: the program, Like, you don't know if they're gonna leave
- 25:09Speaker 1: after their sophomore year if they read shirt, you know,
- 25:12Speaker 1: I think the baller players will have the leverage to go.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna go where I get a guaranteed four year
- 25:18Speaker 1: in i L. And if you're not a ball or player,
- 25:20Speaker 1: let's say you're a good three star, even a four star,
- 25:23Speaker 1: you can probably get a good yearly in I L.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I just think the bigger players will get to demand
- 25:28Speaker 1: the longer. You don't want to call it a contract.
- 25:30Speaker 1: It is a contract, but it's a different kind of contract. Um.
- 25:34Speaker 1: But they will, in my opinion, they will be regulating
- 25:37Speaker 1: these in the next couple of years. All of these
- 25:40Speaker 1: questions on because here's the truth too, you could basically
- 25:44Speaker 1: I just had a call with the IOWA I called
- 25:46Speaker 1: the University of Iowa. I was talking to them about
- 25:48Speaker 1: a kid who was on our show, the radio show.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I was like, hey, we saw him in the news.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I want to do an n i L deal with
- 25:55Speaker 1: them because he represents my what my clothing brand does.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Now I've no tied to the University of Iowa. But
- 26:00Speaker 1: I thought with the kid did he stopped from the side,
- 26:01Speaker 1: already helped a woman, he made the news, it's a
- 26:03Speaker 1: freshman can plays of special teams. I said, I want
- 26:06Speaker 1: to do this deal with him, and they were like great.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And I could have said, I think I give him
- 26:12Speaker 1: five million dollars and I just need one post on
- 26:15Speaker 1: Instagram and they have been like, all right, there you go.
- 26:17Speaker 1: That's not an Iowa thing. I think just basically you
- 26:19Speaker 1: can go here's a bunch of money and just say whatever,
- 26:23Speaker 1: little or big, and there's no rules. So I can
- 26:29Speaker 1: see this being a conversation with athletes now because of
- 26:32Speaker 1: this and being used like, hey, I can't give you
- 26:34Speaker 1: a four year deal one year three star athlete, you're
- 26:36Speaker 1: a four star athlete. I can give you a one
- 26:38Speaker 1: year deal because look what happened with Myles Brennan. I
- 26:40Speaker 1: think this will be that point until that's all reset anyway.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Um So, but the n I l s it's awesome
- 26:46Speaker 1: right now because there are no rules. Not for me.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I'm not saying and I'll do her. I'm saying that
- 26:51Speaker 1: now that somebody who just loves college football. People are
- 26:53Speaker 1: all upset about it. But any change at all always
- 26:58Speaker 1: makes people upset in any thing that's known because of
- 27:01Speaker 1: their tradition, and that's what's happening here. All right, thank
- 27:03Speaker 1: you for the tittle tittle, Kevin. All right, there you go. Hey,
- 27:06Speaker 1: we have Dan Orlovsky coming up in a second. He's
- 27:08Speaker 1: awesome ESPN NFL analyst. We gotta thank Kioff Kevin for
- 27:12Speaker 1: roping that one kickoff. Kevin chased Dan Orlovski. What do
- 27:15Speaker 1: you mean cha, Well, I went to his house like that. No,
- 27:19Speaker 1: he got his number somehow and then Dan's always Dan
- 27:21Speaker 1: was always great. But Dan works for ESPN and speaking
- 27:24Speaker 1: to somebody who works in a big corporation, he had
- 27:28Speaker 1: to go, let me go to my PR. Then they
- 27:29Speaker 1: were like, he's got to cancel, and Kevin just stayed
- 27:31Speaker 1: on it, stayed on dan Orlovsky. So here we go,
- 27:36Speaker 1: by the way, fun facts about Dan Orlovsky. Twelve seasons
- 27:38Speaker 1: in the NFL as a quarterback. He's more the ESPN
- 27:41Speaker 1: as an analyst. Eighteen Um, you know, he played a
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yukon and then went to the NFL for a long time,
- 27:49Speaker 1: but never as an NFL player. Was never a superstar player.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But it's one of those guys that was extremely smart
- 27:56Speaker 1: and has turned that into uh, I mean he's one
- 27:58Speaker 1: of the best now he's really popping as far as
- 28:01Speaker 1: like one of the guys you want to go to.
- 28:03Speaker 1: So here he is Dan Orlovski from ESPN. Hey d,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I appreciate the time. Good to be with you, man,
- 28:09Speaker 1: Thank you for having me doing where all right, whatever
- 28:11Speaker 1: you are, it's like a beautiful rock Norman Rockwell picture
- 28:13Speaker 1: right now. Where are you? Yeah, so we're in a
- 28:16Speaker 1: beach town called Seattle City, New Jersey. Um watch from
- 28:20Speaker 1: the Philadelphia area. So she grew up kind of going
- 28:22Speaker 1: down here, so we go here every summer. His life
- 28:25Speaker 1: for you just awesome. I mean, obviously played in the league,
- 28:29Speaker 1: but now it's like you're blowing up bigger than ever before,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and it looks like you're just doing something that you
- 28:33Speaker 1: love more than you ever have. Yeah, it's uh, it's
- 28:36Speaker 1: been a really fun I don't know, three or four years.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I have an absolute blast doing kind of what I
- 28:42Speaker 1: get to do. It's become like a joy of mine.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You know, it's become very much so a passion. Um.
- 28:49Speaker 1: It fits my personality to really well. You know, I
- 28:52Speaker 1: remember being a kid and everyone used to always like
- 28:54Speaker 1: mock me being like, dude, you you like being the
- 28:56Speaker 1: center of attention. You like being the center of attention.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I think that's why I gravitated towards playing quarterback. Uh,
- 29:02Speaker 1: it's certainly something that um kind of fits the role
- 29:05Speaker 1: that I get to do. Now, are you ever surprised
- 29:07Speaker 1: by what actually goes viral? Like? Are you like, I
- 29:09Speaker 1: can't believe that of all things and the thing that's
- 29:11Speaker 1: being picked up and going viral? Yeah, I know, you know,
- 29:13Speaker 1: Like I think that I've been lucky. The people at
- 29:16Speaker 1: ESPN are smart with how I never got any formal training.
- 29:20Speaker 1: But one of the best things that I ever got
- 29:22Speaker 1: told when I got into this media world and industry
- 29:25Speaker 1: was give me the take off before the runway, you know.
- 29:29Speaker 1: And it's so often many of us get on television
- 29:32Speaker 1: and you get asked this question and you give out
- 29:34Speaker 1: all the reasons why you feel a certain way, and
- 29:35Speaker 1: then you say how you feel. And I think one
- 29:38Speaker 1: of the things that I've learned is you better attention
- 29:41Speaker 1: spans for everybody nowadays are short, so you better throw
- 29:44Speaker 1: a punch quickly. And um, it's also one of those
- 29:47Speaker 1: things I think a lot of people get into our
- 29:49Speaker 1: world and say you believe you gotta say something. I
- 29:51Speaker 1: don't believe that. Um. I think that's how you get
- 29:53Speaker 1: yourself in trouble and you get caught in your own words.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I think you've got to be convicted about what you
- 29:57Speaker 1: say and you can't be scared to be wrong. And UM,
- 30:01Speaker 1: so I don't get surprised. And I also know football
- 30:03Speaker 1: is just an absolute passion of people's lives and they
- 30:07Speaker 1: can't get enough of it. So I don't get surprised anymore.
- 30:10Speaker 1: It's fun, you know. I do want to spend this
- 30:12Speaker 1: time we have together talking about quarterbacks and only quarterbacks,
- 30:15Speaker 1: because again, this is basically the biggest part of an
- 30:17Speaker 1: NFL team, And there's so many stories going in to
- 30:20Speaker 1: this season. And we can start with Matt Stafford, who
- 30:23Speaker 1: you know is dealing with the tendonitis or whatever it
- 30:25Speaker 1: is that that we're reading he's going through. Like, what
- 30:27Speaker 1: do you know about stafford status and how it's you know,
- 30:30Speaker 1: affecting them as they try to repeat, Yeah, I can,
- 30:33Speaker 1: I can say this. Usually Matthew and I go on
- 30:37Speaker 1: a golf trip every year after the Super Bowl gets done. Um,
- 30:40Speaker 1: and he did not come this year mainly because he
- 30:43Speaker 1: was busy playing in it, but also, you know, the elbow.
- 30:46Speaker 1: He had said he was gonna have to have something
- 30:48Speaker 1: to get done with it. I probably talked to him
- 30:50Speaker 1: like a week ago and he was like looking forward
- 30:52Speaker 1: to the golf trip next year. So you know, I
- 30:54Speaker 1: take that is everything's gonna be fine with the elbow.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I tried to avoid kind of get too deep with
- 31:00Speaker 1: him when it comes to that stuff, because you know,
- 31:02Speaker 1: the respect of the friendship. But I think it's one
- 31:05Speaker 1: of those things that, um, you know, he'll be really
- 31:08Speaker 1: smart about. The rims would be really smart about, and
- 31:10Speaker 1: they'll be smart about it leading into the season and
- 31:12Speaker 1: through it. I I think that they're the best team
- 31:14Speaker 1: in the NFC. I think that the team that everyone's
- 31:16Speaker 1: got to go chase down to go win the Super Bowl. Um,
- 31:19Speaker 1: and the addition of a player like Allen Robinson is
- 31:22Speaker 1: going to completely make their offense even more different. Last
- 31:25Speaker 1: year was really cool to watch, to be honest with
- 31:27Speaker 1: you too, you know, just as a guy who watched him.
- 31:30Speaker 1: But I'll tell you this man, like my favorite part
- 31:32Speaker 1: about him as a person was for years, a decade,
- 31:37Speaker 1: a dozen years, that dude had every reason to point
- 31:40Speaker 1: the finger at somebody else to blame, somebody else, to
- 31:43Speaker 1: drag somebody else down, and he never did it once.
- 31:46Speaker 1: And I think that's my favorite quality of him. And
- 31:49Speaker 1: I think watching him do what he did last year,
- 31:52Speaker 1: that's what made it so nice. When I've read any
- 31:54Speaker 1: articles about his injury, and again it's just reading articles
- 31:56Speaker 1: at tendonitis has brought up a lot. If is that's
- 32:00Speaker 1: something that had it happened to you? Is that something
- 32:02Speaker 1: you have to manage all year? Like I got tonight
- 32:05Speaker 1: night with my shoulder and I was doing a TV
- 32:06Speaker 1: show and it hurt me for four months because I
- 32:08Speaker 1: never had time to recoup rate I was doing a
- 32:09Speaker 1: physical show. Is that something? Is that a pain management
- 32:12Speaker 1: and managing thing for all season? Yeah? For sure. You know,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be something like he doesn't throw
- 32:17Speaker 1: on Mondays, he doesn't throw on Tuesdays. He probably doesn't
- 32:19Speaker 1: throw much on Wednesdays, and just rehabs it, takes care
- 32:22Speaker 1: of it, you know, works through it. Probably throws Thursday
- 32:25Speaker 1: and Friday pretty good, and kind of you manage your
- 32:27Speaker 1: way through it, and not only the week, but you
- 32:29Speaker 1: manage your way through the season. You know, you might
- 32:31Speaker 1: be a little bit light on the reps that he
- 32:33Speaker 1: takes in September and October, knowing November December, you're a
- 32:38Speaker 1: good enough team that you should get into the playoffs
- 32:40Speaker 1: and then will be paramount for your seating, your performance.
- 32:42Speaker 1: So yeah, you just gotta manage it and it'll be
- 32:45Speaker 1: important for everything, the rehab, the prehab, the post practice
- 32:50Speaker 1: care of it. And he's really, really, really premier with
- 32:53Speaker 1: that stuff, man Like, he takes care of himself at
- 32:55Speaker 1: a really high level. So Um, it's step you have
- 32:58Speaker 1: paid attention to it. You gotta respect. But I don't
- 33:00Speaker 1: think it's gonna hold them back. It's talk about Justin
- 33:01Speaker 1: Fields for a second, because when the Bears when they
- 33:03Speaker 1: hired a new coach, I guess I expected them to
- 33:05Speaker 1: hire an offensive coach and they did not as a
- 33:07Speaker 1: head coach, um so and they've got Justin Fields who
- 33:10Speaker 1: this is a big year for him as far as
- 33:12Speaker 1: development goes. Do you expect them to take a step
- 33:14Speaker 1: forward with Fields or is it the same Bears? Yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I think it's a step back. Candidly, I don't think
- 33:19Speaker 1: it's a year for Justin Fields and in his development,
- 33:21Speaker 1: Bobby so Um, they have they have the worst situation
- 33:25Speaker 1: for a quarterback in the NFL, and my biggest issue
- 33:29Speaker 1: and fear often is taking these young players at that
- 33:32Speaker 1: position and putting them into the role where you expect
- 33:35Speaker 1: development and winning. That's so hard to happen at the
- 33:39Speaker 1: same time, because development at the quarterback level from college
- 33:42Speaker 1: to pro means you often have to break bad habits
- 33:46Speaker 1: while building new good habits that are going to be
- 33:48Speaker 1: required in the NFL world. That takes thousands and thousands
- 33:51Speaker 1: and thousands of reps. And then when you have the
- 33:54Speaker 1: pressure of hey, dude, you gotta win us a game
- 33:56Speaker 1: on Sunday because our jobs are dependent on it, you
- 33:58Speaker 1: revert towards those bad habits. And not only that, um
- 34:03Speaker 1: I often say that that spot like, don't expect progress
- 34:07Speaker 1: without equipping me with the necessary tools. They have one
- 34:10Speaker 1: of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, and I'm
- 34:12Speaker 1: gonna say this and probably the last ten years. Their
- 34:15Speaker 1: number one receiver's a fifth round pick, Darnella Mooney. Good player,
- 34:18Speaker 1: but he's not number one in the NFL right now.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So I think it's gonna be a really difficult year
- 34:23Speaker 1: for Justin And my hope and prayer is that no
- 34:26Speaker 1: one judges him till two thousand twenty three when they're
- 34:29Speaker 1: a little bit more supportive around him. Talking about quarterbacks
- 34:32Speaker 1: and receivers. Kind of the same question about these two
- 34:34Speaker 1: guys whenever it comes to uh, Aaron Rodgers and Pat Mahomes,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and they both lost their number ones, and so they're
- 34:42Speaker 1: both trying to figure out who's their new number one,
- 34:44Speaker 1: Like in Green Bay and in Kansas City, Like, who
- 34:46Speaker 1: do you see stepping up or who do the quarterbacks
- 34:48Speaker 1: want to step up and be their number one? Yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 1: my answer is interesting. I think the number one in
- 34:53Speaker 1: Kansas City will be their offensive line. I think they're
- 34:55Speaker 1: just gonna be different with the way they operate. You know,
- 34:57Speaker 1: this will be the best offensive line or one of
- 35:00Speaker 1: certainly in the NFL. I think there'll be a little
- 35:02Speaker 1: bit more run centric. They'll call a little bit more
- 35:05Speaker 1: drop back pass for Patrick and just give him multiple
- 35:07Speaker 1: options rather than, Hey, we're gonna try to get the
- 35:09Speaker 1: ball to Tyree Killer Travis Kelsey, and they've got really
- 35:13Speaker 1: six deep with guys they can get the ball too.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I don't know if they'll have a number one. I
- 35:16Speaker 1: think their number one will revolve week by week by week. Uh.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And then in Green Bay, Yeah, I think the number
- 35:22Speaker 1: one that they hope for it to be is going
- 35:25Speaker 1: to be Alan Lazard and Christian Watson their second round
- 35:28Speaker 1: pick out of North Dakota State this year. That's the
- 35:31Speaker 1: the situation for me, I think is green Bay is
- 35:34Speaker 1: looking at the two thousand nineteen San Francisco forty Niners,
- 35:38Speaker 1: dominated on the ground, played great defense, and they need
- 35:42Speaker 1: a new quarterback to make one throw in the playoffs
- 35:44Speaker 1: and he couldn't. That's the post route Jimmy g to
- 35:46Speaker 1: Emmanuel Sanders and he misses, And I think the Packers
- 35:48Speaker 1: are gonna go that's the way that we want to
- 35:50Speaker 1: play football, and we have the quarterback that will make
- 35:53Speaker 1: that throw. So I think the guy in Green Bay's
- 35:55Speaker 1: Alan Lazard. It's just gonna look different Lamar Jackson. You know,
- 35:58Speaker 1: there's obviously the contracts, such a what's it gonna do
- 36:02Speaker 1: this year? Especially like you feel like this is a
- 36:04Speaker 1: year for Lamar. Do you feel like he's ready for
- 36:07Speaker 1: a big year? Is it setting him up for you?
- 36:09Speaker 1: If I I don't gamble, really, um, if I had
- 36:13Speaker 1: two thousand bucks to throw down a long shot MVP
- 36:16Speaker 1: guy B Lamar probably last year, twelve weeks through the season,
- 36:19Speaker 1: this was the m v P of the league. They
- 36:22Speaker 1: were the number one see in the a f C
- 36:23Speaker 1: and they had the most historic, worst historic injuries in
- 36:27Speaker 1: the history of the NFL. That's how good this young
- 36:30Speaker 1: man is. So I think the thought for Lamar is
- 36:33Speaker 1: and that's why the contracts going down right now, is like,
- 36:35Speaker 1: why do why would I sign for what I don't want?
- 36:38Speaker 1: If we stay healthy, I'm gonna have an incredible year.
- 36:40Speaker 1: We're gonna be a really good football team. We have
- 36:42Speaker 1: the chance to go to Super Bowl, and then you
- 36:43Speaker 1: gotta pay me whatever dollar amount that I want. You know,
- 36:46Speaker 1: everyone says this, like, hey, man, Lamar should not play
- 36:50Speaker 1: this season without taking taking his money because we all
- 36:53Speaker 1: fear these catastrophic injuries to quarterbacks. Dak Prescott became the
- 36:57Speaker 1: highest paid quarterback ever the offseason after he dislocated his
- 37:02Speaker 1: ankle and tour every ligament in it. Aaron Rodgers got
- 37:04Speaker 1: a hundred and forty million dollar contract extension when he
- 37:07Speaker 1: played six games one season, and Drew Brees got seventy
- 37:10Speaker 1: million dollars from the Saints coming off of reconstructive shoulder surgery.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Quarterbacks are paid for their body of work, not for
- 37:16Speaker 1: what you have, what you've done. For me late the
- 37:18Speaker 1: performance wise, So I think he's gonna have a monster year,
- 37:21Speaker 1: and um, I think he's gonna get a lot of
- 37:23Speaker 1: money and he's worth it. I got three questions. I
- 37:25Speaker 1: want to go to Derek Carr, who not only has
- 37:28Speaker 1: Hunter Renfro obviously had a big year last year, but
- 37:30Speaker 1: also Davante, who I'm watching all the practice that I'm
- 37:32Speaker 1: seeing what they want me to see, obviously, but he's
- 37:34Speaker 1: just destroying. Like, do we expect the Raiders to be
- 37:38Speaker 1: a lot better with the addition of Davante? Offensively they'll
- 37:41Speaker 1: be a top six offense in the league team wise,
- 37:44Speaker 1: I don't know, because their secondary is still so unproven.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Um and I got to see the way Josh McDaniels coaches,
- 37:50Speaker 1: and obviously their division is brutal. They'll be one of
- 37:53Speaker 1: the most difficult offenses in the league to stop. I
- 37:56Speaker 1: do not think it's as easy as a lot of
- 37:58Speaker 1: us are making it out to be. It is hard
- 38:00Speaker 1: when you have you know three, Darren Waller is one
- 38:04Speaker 1: of the best, um hound run for one of the best,
- 38:07Speaker 1: Davante Adams one of the best. So where do how
- 38:08Speaker 1: do we use those guys to make sure everybody's playing
- 38:11Speaker 1: to their strengths. You know, when I was playing with
- 38:13Speaker 1: Calvin Johnson, it was one of those things where Calvin
- 38:15Speaker 1: wanted to be on the side of the field by himself.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Just put Calvin over there and we'll figure everything else out.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I don't know if Davante wants that because it you know,
- 38:22Speaker 1: in Green Bay they moved him around a lot, so
- 38:24Speaker 1: I do believe that they have to work through that.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But they'll be a really really dominant offense. Russ and Denver,
- 38:30Speaker 1: is this set up for him to have a reset
- 38:32Speaker 1: and a big rebound with that team or were getting
- 38:34Speaker 1: little hyped up for it now? I think so that's
- 38:36Speaker 1: my team to win. That's my pick to win a division.
- 38:39Speaker 1: That's been my pick since they made the kind of
- 38:40Speaker 1: the signing of Randy Gregory. I think it's the only
- 38:43Speaker 1: offense in the division that can do whatever they want
- 38:47Speaker 1: given whatever they need to. When I said when I
- 38:49Speaker 1: say that, I mean, um, they if they have to
- 38:52Speaker 1: run the football for forty times a game, they have
- 38:54Speaker 1: the people in the scheme to do it. No one
- 38:56Speaker 1: else's division has that. If they got to throw the
- 38:59Speaker 1: ball forty times, they have the people in the scheme
- 39:01Speaker 1: to do it. And no, and other teams in the
- 39:03Speaker 1: division have that, but they don't have both. I think
- 39:05Speaker 1: their edge rushers will be really good in Sir Dan
- 39:07Speaker 1: junr on defense is great. Here's the thing with Russ.
- 39:10Speaker 1: You know, Russ has in Seattle, has been in a
- 39:13Speaker 1: place where he's never had an elite offensive scheme, which
- 39:17Speaker 1: he has now and that Mike Shanahan scheme, Andy Leete
- 39:20Speaker 1: offensive talent which he has now with all their weapons
- 39:23Speaker 1: on the outside receiver wiy So that's my pick to
- 39:26Speaker 1: win the division. Um, and I think Russ has an
- 39:29Speaker 1: m v P caliber season. We'll end with the Cowboys.
- 39:32Speaker 1: We got a guy in this show who and I
- 39:34Speaker 1: guess all Cowboys fans are annoying. It's not like our
- 39:35Speaker 1: annoying cawbirys. And I was gonna say he's an annoying
- 39:39Speaker 1: Cowboys fan, but that's like saying he waters wet. Yes.
- 39:43Speaker 1: So with Dak and you know Zeke, what are we doing?
- 39:49Speaker 1: What's happening? Yeah? So I think that Zeke is still
- 39:53Speaker 1: a good back, not a great back. Their offensive line
- 39:56Speaker 1: is still very subpar. They got old really fast. Um.
- 39:59Speaker 1: The perimeter weapons are a major question mark. Ceedee Lamb.
- 40:02Speaker 1: While ultra talented is third in the NFL and dropped
- 40:05Speaker 1: in the last three years. That's not good, um, And
- 40:09Speaker 1: I think that, like, the Cowboys are in a place
- 40:12Speaker 1: where they had these massive expectations and their defense was
- 40:15Speaker 1: so great last year that people are saying, hey, this
- 40:19Speaker 1: is the team to beat the Bucks, for the Rams
- 40:20Speaker 1: or the Saints, and I just sit here and I
- 40:22Speaker 1: go notes not. I don't even think they're gonna win
- 40:24Speaker 1: the division. The Eagles are better on both sides of
- 40:27Speaker 1: line of scrimmage. They got better weapons, They're deeper as
- 40:30Speaker 1: a roster. The difference is Dak Prescott has proven and
- 40:32Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts isn't. But I think the Cowboys are in
- 40:35Speaker 1: for a dose of like whoa. Our roster is not
- 40:38Speaker 1: nearly as good and or deep as what we thought.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I enjoyed that answer. I enjoyed that answer a lot. Yeah, uh, Dan,
- 40:43Speaker 1: appreciate you. A big fan of what you do. Love
- 40:45Speaker 1: how refreshing it feels when you're talking. I feel like
- 40:48Speaker 1: you're just talking to me. And I think that's the
- 40:50Speaker 1: biggest compliment I could give you. Just do crushing it.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Love to see your success and thumbs up her thumbs
- 40:55Speaker 1: down on to a last one thumbs up. Man, she
- 40:58Speaker 1: was gonna have a really good season. Love it all right,
- 41:00Speaker 1: there is, Dan, appreciate your time. Go enjoy the weather.
- 41:03Speaker 1: It's like a D ten here, so I will not,
- 41:05Speaker 1: but hopefully I see. Thanks, Bud, appreciate it. Thanks to
- 41:09Speaker 1: Dan Olovsky from ESPN. That's a great interview. Kick off, Kevin,
- 41:13Speaker 1: great job on now, Buddy, Thank you. All right, Draft
- 41:15Speaker 1: Kings sports book right now. Let me tell you go
- 41:17Speaker 1: and put in the code Bobby Sports. Here's the question.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I looked on Draft Kings because I've been watching Hard
- 41:22Speaker 1: Knocks and I believe any team on Hard Knox is
- 41:24Speaker 1: gonna win the Super Bowl. I just watched. I'm like, oh,
- 41:28Speaker 1: oh yeah, there you go. Yeah, and they're probably not.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you, Yeah they're probably not. How
- 41:36Speaker 1: many wins I'll give you the overrun drun Draft Kings
- 41:39Speaker 1: right now. The Detroit Lions. Now I'm going over because
- 41:42Speaker 1: I don't see him losing a game all year. Oh
- 41:44Speaker 1: yeah from what you're watching camp, Yeah, it's pretty all
- 41:48Speaker 1: hard So six and a half game, six point five,
- 41:52Speaker 1: that's the win total. I'm gonna go over. Um Eddie
- 41:56Speaker 1: under this is exactly what hard knocks does you're just like,
- 41:59Speaker 1: but I still speeches man, or like, wow, damn, this
- 42:02Speaker 1: coach is like got me. I would do anything for
- 42:05Speaker 1: this guy. And so I'm sure as players are thinking
- 42:07Speaker 1: the same thing is this is um what's that movie?
- 42:10Speaker 1: Remember the Titans in real life happening right in front
- 42:13Speaker 1: of us, Dan Campbell, I get it. We want He's
- 42:16Speaker 1: like a different dude, and he has changed that culture
- 42:19Speaker 1: up there a bit. Do you see him do ups
- 42:21Speaker 1: and downs with the players like no coaching history has
- 42:24Speaker 1: ever done that? Crazy? He still looks like he can
- 42:27Speaker 1: play offf Yeah, he does. But they're gonna go under.
- 42:30Speaker 1: You go under, Okay, I'll go over. Okay, I'm gonna
- 42:33Speaker 1: go over just because I hope they do, just for
- 42:35Speaker 1: Detroit fans. I feel bad for him. It's been a long,
- 42:38Speaker 1: miserable run. They saw Stafford when the Super Bowl last year.
- 42:40Speaker 1: So come online, Dan Campbell, let's go same. Shout out
- 42:45Speaker 1: to my neighbor Michigan, Bob, Who's he's made, Who's who's
- 42:48Speaker 1: made me? Have an appreciation from Michigan and the suffering
- 42:50Speaker 1: that they've gone through in Detroit. Man, I'll go over.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Give me, give me seven wins, on Detroit. Let's go
- 42:55Speaker 1: the Dallas Cowboys. The over unders ten. I mean I'm
- 42:58Speaker 1: going under. Why just just to be a hater. Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 1: figured because you don't have a good reason. Yeah, that's
- 43:07Speaker 1: all I'm done under nothing else. Under way over, way over,
- 43:15Speaker 1: I'll go way under. Let's go over. So the two
- 43:21Speaker 1: guys that love the Cowboys go over. Well, of course
- 43:23Speaker 1: that's what we do every year, every year that Patriots
- 43:27Speaker 1: eight and a half. I'll go to your first kickoff, Kevin,
- 43:29Speaker 1: that's your team. Way over, Okay, yeah, I'll go over to. Yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 1: they're gonna struggle this year. I'm gonna give me the
- 43:38Speaker 1: under What do you mean, I mean if they win
- 43:41Speaker 1: nine games, it's almost struggling for the Patriots. Yeah, I get.
- 43:44Speaker 1: I think Bill Belichick is at the end of it.
- 43:46Speaker 1: It's like this is just too hard. I'm about to
- 43:48Speaker 1: give you said that picking Mac Jones locker. Where had
- 43:52Speaker 1: that had that picture of himself from hanging his head
- 43:55Speaker 1: from the playoff loss in the Bills. Yeah, give me
- 43:58Speaker 1: give me Mac Jones with the with the come back. Man.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Have you seen Mac jumps out a shirt? Now? Take different, dude,
- 44:03Speaker 1: all right? Yeah, when he won the National championship and
- 44:06Speaker 1: they showed it him without a shirt. It's kind of
- 44:08Speaker 1: you know, port Port soft. He's like he had skinny
- 44:12Speaker 1: fat kind of look. He's like now like he's yeah,
- 44:15Speaker 1: he's like learned how to be chiseled. Like he got
- 44:17Speaker 1: a hold of me and I taught him. Hey, well
- 44:19Speaker 1: then let me change that to the overt on the train. Now,
- 44:23Speaker 1: Arkansas over seven and seven and a half. Do they
- 44:26Speaker 1: hit eight or no, Eddie, they hit eight? I mean
- 44:29Speaker 1: absolutely see West dude, I love I loved what they did,
- 44:33Speaker 1: like conference schedule as b y U. It's Cincinnati team
- 44:38Speaker 1: to start the season, like our Rento win is Liberty
- 44:41Speaker 1: Hugh Freeze. Dude. We took a tour of their actual offices.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you what I saw there. I like to
- 44:46Speaker 1: get a buch of free stuff. So he's like they
- 44:49Speaker 1: had a thirty million dollar facilities. So they're getting over here.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Kick off, Kevin. That's a tough one and I'm gonna
- 44:55Speaker 1: go with the under. I think it'll be close, but
- 44:57Speaker 1: i'd say about seven wins and you said seven and
- 44:59Speaker 1: a half. Yeah, so I'll under Adam my rose colored
- 45:01Speaker 1: fan glasses always tell me like nine wins, but I
- 45:05Speaker 1: always take a one game off of my rose colored glasses.
- 45:08Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go eight and hit the over, and
- 45:10Speaker 1: you guys hit the Draft Kings sports Book app. Now,
- 45:12Speaker 1: I use the promo code Bobby Sports, but just five
- 45:14Speaker 1: dollars on college football and get two hundred dollars and
- 45:16Speaker 1: three bets instantly. That's the code Bobby Sports only at
- 45:20Speaker 1: Draft Kings Sports Book. Middle major in eligibility restricts supply.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I see show notes for the tells. Uh, there you go?
- 45:26Speaker 1: What does that mean? See show notes for the tells
- 45:28Speaker 1: In the podcast description you can see the notes. I
- 45:32Speaker 1: thought that was like a note. I was like, uh,
- 45:34Speaker 1: and Good Evening said here go. When I read the wrong,
- 45:38Speaker 1: I thought that was just for me. Alright, So Draft
- 45:41Speaker 1: Kings awesome. All right, here's what we're gonna do here.
- 45:43Speaker 1: We'll go around the room. Which sports story do you
- 45:46Speaker 1: genuinely care about the most right now that doesn't involve
- 45:49Speaker 1: your favorite team? Kick off, Kevin Um, I'm gonna go
- 45:53Speaker 1: with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers him calling out as
- 45:56Speaker 1: young receivers a couple of days ago, and I'm all out,
- 46:00Speaker 1: you know, of course, holding guy's accountable, young guys, especially
- 46:02Speaker 1: bringing him up. But to do it publicly, I just
- 46:05Speaker 1: think it's wrong for him to do that. Him to
- 46:07Speaker 1: come in here and just call them out publicly. I mean,
- 46:09Speaker 1: it's only gonna make them. I feel like, be a
- 46:11Speaker 1: little more nervous, play more nervous. You can do it
- 46:13Speaker 1: privately in the locker room whatever. We don't know there. Rogers, Yeah,
- 46:21Speaker 1: see it. I think that's what it is more than anything.
- 46:23Speaker 1: It's just Rogers being another thing around you like I do.
- 46:28Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like you do. It's one of those
- 46:32Speaker 1: like the more he plays, the more I don't like him.
- 46:34Speaker 1: I've always liked him, but like, as his career continues,
- 46:36Speaker 1: I'm just like, dude, you're just too much now. I
- 46:39Speaker 1: don't think i'd like to hang out with him. I
- 46:40Speaker 1: don't think I want to be his friend. But I
- 46:42Speaker 1: like that he does his own thing. I do like
- 46:44Speaker 1: that he's got to you know, they say, walks to
- 46:47Speaker 1: the be a different drum, Like it's like that's like
- 46:50Speaker 1: a beat not on time, you know, it's just he's
- 46:53Speaker 1: beating the side of the drum. He kicks the drums sometimes,
- 46:57Speaker 1: so I like that about him. And he's also the
- 46:59Speaker 1: best I mean, except for Brady probably the best quarterback
- 47:03Speaker 1: in the past fifteen years. Yea the most consistent. Um okay,
- 47:08Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers adam. Um. One thing I'm really excited about.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Haven't watched it yet, but the new Man Titeo. Um
- 47:17Speaker 1: that just came into the end of the night. So
- 47:23Speaker 1: I always loved watching Man Tito because he was like
- 47:26Speaker 1: a big, like big Hawaiian jacked version of Rudy, Like
- 47:31Speaker 1: he had that same heart, but he could actually go
- 47:33Speaker 1: you know, and he was like like just taking people's
- 47:35Speaker 1: head off, but like absolutely the nicest guy, you know.
- 47:38Speaker 1: And like anybody that you talked to from Notre Dame,
- 47:40Speaker 1: they would they would just like go to the wall
- 47:43Speaker 1: from Man Tito. And then when that catfishing story came out,
- 47:46Speaker 1: like he got just brutalized and uh. And it was,
- 47:50Speaker 1: you know, it was kind of funny because he was
- 47:52Speaker 1: like the media Darla definitely definitely funny. But because he
- 47:57Speaker 1: was a guy's about to be rich, we were like,
- 47:58Speaker 1: we're not rich, so we want allow totally. Um. You know,
- 48:02Speaker 1: people people love to see him fall down and uh.
- 48:05Speaker 1: And then they got embarrassed in the National Championship game,
- 48:07Speaker 1: and um man, it was it was pretty It was
- 48:10Speaker 1: pretty tough for that guy. Um, but my wife like
- 48:14Speaker 1: it because she doesn't know the story. Yeah, I didn't know.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I mean, we don't know the ins and outs until
- 48:19Speaker 1: you watch that and you realize, like it's sad. Yeah,
- 48:22Speaker 1: it's like on his end, and then even the person
- 48:24Speaker 1: that cat fished them, they're very remorseful towards them, So
- 48:27Speaker 1: it's really good. She would like it. I got cat fish,
- 48:29Speaker 1: so I'm like, I don't know how to root for him.
- 48:32Speaker 1: A couple times about the same time, I was like, yeah, sucker, Eddie.
- 48:36Speaker 1: We've talked about Deshaun Watson, but I love watching how
- 48:38Speaker 1: the NFL deals with it and all that, and I
- 48:40Speaker 1: think the buried headline here is that they gave him
- 48:44Speaker 1: eleven uh days, eleven games, eleven games suspended? Well, who
- 48:48Speaker 1: are they playing week twelve? The Texans, And I've always thought, like,
- 48:53Speaker 1: how are they come up with with eleven games? It's crazy, guys,
- 48:56Speaker 1: We've been fooled. The Baker Mayfield Sam Donald question and
- 49:00Speaker 1: it's like, if anything, if it's close, it's about TV. Yeah,
- 49:04Speaker 1: that's yeah, I don't know. Something I just thought of,
- 49:06Speaker 1: and it's where are they playing that game? Do you
- 49:08Speaker 1: think that's gonna be U for two reasons. One the
- 49:14Speaker 1: human reason of mm, we've been reading a lot of
- 49:17Speaker 1: beast stuff about you. And two you were here when
- 49:19Speaker 1: you did it and you left and we hate you.
- 49:23Speaker 1: So I mean, that's perfect prime time TV. And he's
- 49:26Speaker 1: the Browns are going to be the villains and it
- 49:29Speaker 1: sucks for that his teammate, Yes, who's ever hated the Browns? Exactly,
- 49:34Speaker 1: there's no reason to And now it's like we all
- 49:37Speaker 1: hate the Browns. Goli. Okay, finally mine is n C
- 49:41Speaker 1: Double A football. It won't be that anymore. Like they
- 49:44Speaker 1: they had meetings where the college the presidents were like,
- 49:48Speaker 1: we may not want to be under the n C
- 49:50Speaker 1: double anymore, and why that as significant as all sports
- 49:52Speaker 1: are under the n C Double A. But what happens
- 49:54Speaker 1: is after the season is over, when they go into
- 49:58Speaker 1: the bowl games or to the playoffs. Now that's run
- 50:01Speaker 1: by college football, you know, the CFP or so that's
- 50:07Speaker 1: so they do some stuff out of the n C
- 50:09Speaker 1: Double A. But it's that those were governed by different folks. Interesting,
- 50:13Speaker 1: so now the presidents are going, yeah, we might want
- 50:15Speaker 1: to get the n C Double A. N C Double
- 50:16Speaker 1: still exists, but they make most of their money from football,
- 50:19Speaker 1: and who knows who gets to leave the n C
- 50:22Speaker 1: Double A and who is it the SEC, Big ten,
- 50:25Speaker 1: Big twelve? Is it the big conferences? But then some
- 50:28Speaker 1: of the you know, lower division one school stay. You're
- 50:32Speaker 1: just gonna see a lot of changes the next few years.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I'm here for it. I love change because if you
- 50:36Speaker 1: hate changers, gonna get even more mad because it's gonna
- 50:39Speaker 1: happen regardless. So that to me is really interesting to
- 50:42Speaker 1: see what happens in college football. But I'm also like
- 50:44Speaker 1: college football is my favorite. So do you do you
- 50:48Speaker 1: worry that it's gonna make you like the game list
- 50:52Speaker 1: played the same way? Yeah, that's I mean the games
- 50:54Speaker 1: of all my shirts. Listen, we're rooting for a piece
- 50:56Speaker 1: of clothing, you know. I think it was George Carlin
- 51:00Speaker 1: who was like talking about baseball teams. He's like, we
- 51:02Speaker 1: root for laundry. These people aren't from where we are,
- 51:05Speaker 1: you know, they're not, they haven't. They're just I don't
- 51:08Speaker 1: care about this, and they're like, they they're wearing laundry
- 51:10Speaker 1: that we root for our own laundry. And so for me,
- 51:13Speaker 1: I just root for the team that identifies with the land,
- 51:15Speaker 1: that I grew up in and I will if they said, well,
- 51:17Speaker 1: Arkansas an NFL team, Now, I'd be like, well that sucks.
- 51:20Speaker 1: That's where we're not very good, uh, the NFL teams.
- 51:23Speaker 1: But I would still root for them because that's my
- 51:26Speaker 1: identify with that, that's where I grew up. Um, so no,
- 51:30Speaker 1: I'm just going to root for Arkansas regardless of what
- 51:32Speaker 1: league they're in. I'll be passionate about it the end
- 51:36Speaker 1: that's in and money's not changing anything. They were just
- 51:39Speaker 1: getting it in different ways before. Like, I can't believe
- 51:43Speaker 1: players are getting paid. Yeah, I got played. I have
- 51:44Speaker 1: friends that are players that used to get really really paid.
- 51:48Speaker 1: You just never knew about it. And it's since it
- 51:51Speaker 1: wasn't legal, some schools wouldn't do it, and those were
- 51:54Speaker 1: the schools that were abiding by the rules but weren't good.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Now you have schools that are abiding by the rules
- 51:59Speaker 1: and they're really good because this allows it to happen.
- 52:04Speaker 1: And yes, it is unfair, but it's a capitalless world
- 52:07Speaker 1: where this happens everywhere. It's just college football. It's a business. Yeah,
- 52:11Speaker 1: so I'm interested what happens with the n c double
- 52:13Speaker 1: a UM And then finally I'll do this before we
- 52:15Speaker 1: get to a little fantasy football talk here. Um doesn't
- 52:21Speaker 1: even want to change their title teams when we picked it.
- 52:23Speaker 1: There's really been no games. I'm gonna change mine. You
- 52:25Speaker 1: are already. That's gonna cost me two bucks. I just
- 52:29Speaker 1: felt really guilty. So I'm going to Arkansas for a week.
- 52:34Speaker 1: In the shower, I was ashamed of myself, and I
- 52:37Speaker 1: was like, it was one dollar, just pick Arkansas, and
- 52:41Speaker 1: so I hate myself, and so I'm gonna go ahead
- 52:44Speaker 1: and double up my And'm gonna move off Alabama to Arkansas.
- 52:47Speaker 1: So I'll put two dollars in the pot. Now you're
- 52:51Speaker 1: out of Alabama. I still have Alabama, and I think, okay,
- 52:55Speaker 1: so you too have so And by the way, Madden
- 52:58Speaker 1: Football twenty three just came out already. Yeah, I wish
- 53:02Speaker 1: you guys played. We have a buy it for everyone.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Did you know that I bought it for everybody in
- 53:06Speaker 1: my league just to make sure everyone plays with him.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Here's the thing. Here's the thing. My league, bunch, your
- 53:16Speaker 1: heartwork and friends of mine, and maybe they don't have
- 53:20Speaker 1: a hundred bucks to go at a random Tuesday, and
- 53:24Speaker 1: they already get in trouble for playing video games. So
- 53:26Speaker 1: then they get a tell their wife they're spending money
- 53:28Speaker 1: on something that they already are in trouble for doing
- 53:30Speaker 1: too often. And you know, I do pretty good. So
- 53:35Speaker 1: I bought everybody in the league their game. And I
- 53:37Speaker 1: was like, you don't have to tell your wife. You
- 53:39Speaker 1: just keep get in trouble as you are. There's no
- 53:40Speaker 1: reason to amplify it. And here we go, end of
- 53:44Speaker 1: the year. No, I just wanted to play. I didn't
- 53:47Speaker 1: want them in trouble. Okay, Frocitiki awesome. He's at at
- 53:52Speaker 1: Upper Hand Fantasy. It is my favorite account to follow
- 53:55Speaker 1: for fantasy football, upper Hand Fantasy, and we do. It's
- 53:58Speaker 1: fantasy football time. We're talking about it here. So here
- 54:02Speaker 1: we go. First of all, congratulations, I just saw you
- 54:04Speaker 1: had a hundred thousand followers. It's awesome. It's that's a
- 54:06Speaker 1: big deal in the fantasy world. Thanks man. Yeah, no,
- 54:09Speaker 1: it no, it is. I'm pumping. You know what's funny, man,
- 54:11Speaker 1: Like I've I've never celebrated these following accounts, but like
- 54:13Speaker 1: for a hundred k I'm like, you know what, like,
- 54:15Speaker 1: I just wanted to make sure that everyone kind of uh,
- 54:18Speaker 1: you know, I I guess that their flowers, you know
- 54:20Speaker 1: what I mean. As far as like the whole community
- 54:22Speaker 1: and all that, you know, well, it's a big deal
- 54:23Speaker 1: because especially if you're trying to be a legitimate guy,
- 54:28Speaker 1: and like, first of all, yours is the best. Like,
- 54:30Speaker 1: and I look and watch and follow and subscribe to
- 54:33Speaker 1: certain different things, and I just found you on Instagram
- 54:35Speaker 1: because I'm a big fantasy guy. And I went through
- 54:38Speaker 1: and listened to you and watched the grad and I
- 54:40Speaker 1: was like, man, FROs is so good and so congratulations.
- 54:44Speaker 1: And one I'm just super pumped to have yawned because
- 54:46Speaker 1: I feel like of all the guys that act like
- 54:48Speaker 1: they know what they're talking about when no one actually does,
- 54:51Speaker 1: because again it's fantasy and predicting, like you know the
- 54:53Speaker 1: most about something we actually don't know anything about, you
- 54:55Speaker 1: know what I mean? Yeah, No, No, I appreciate that, no,
- 54:58Speaker 1: exactly right, And and what I myself on is just
- 55:00Speaker 1: being able to just take in new information and sometimes
- 55:03Speaker 1: it contradicts what I believe before, right, So just it's
- 55:07Speaker 1: a continually, you know, moving thing throughout the off season.
- 55:10Speaker 1: So I appreciate that though his Instagram is upper hand fantasy,
- 55:14Speaker 1: but nobody on this show can follow him. Okay, if
- 55:16Speaker 1: I see you guys following him, you're out of here.
- 55:17Speaker 1: It's only for me. He's only mine. Um, I'm very
- 55:20Speaker 1: territorial now. So I have some questions for you just
- 55:23Speaker 1: and a lot of them are general because here we
- 55:25Speaker 1: are getting close to draft season. I mean, if you
- 55:28Speaker 1: draft now, that's probably too early, especially with these preseason games.
- 55:31Speaker 1: You hate to have an injury before your season starts.
- 55:34Speaker 1: So but we're getting to that point where a lot
- 55:35Speaker 1: of the draftings happened, and when I'm looking at the
- 55:38Speaker 1: first round and it looks to me mostly and I
- 55:41Speaker 1: want you to correct me or tell me I'm an idiot,
- 55:43Speaker 1: or agree. But the top four spots generally are the
- 55:48Speaker 1: running backs. If it's Jonathan Taylor, and then it could
- 55:51Speaker 1: go to McCaffrey, Derrick, Henry Eckler, and then there's kind
- 55:56Speaker 1: of a break and it's like do you do you
- 55:57Speaker 1: go receiver? Do you go another running back? So just
- 56:00Speaker 1: talk with me and give me the top five. So
- 56:02Speaker 1: I want to go five the top five running backs
- 56:04Speaker 1: that you would take in a in the first round
- 56:05Speaker 1: of the draft. Believe it or not, I'm perfectly fine
- 56:08Speaker 1: going Christian McCaffrey, Number one before Jonathan Taylor. Like I
- 56:12Speaker 1: totally understand Jonathan Taylor wasn't number one winning back last year,
- 56:15Speaker 1: but if you look at all the past previous you know,
- 56:18Speaker 1: overall number one winning backs, they did a lot better
- 56:21Speaker 1: than Jonathan Taylor. Uh So obviously, you know, because he
- 56:24Speaker 1: finished first, a lot of people want to put him
- 56:25Speaker 1: first this year. But I am chasing that upside, you know,
- 56:28Speaker 1: with Christian McCaffrey and what he showed. UM. But yeah,
- 56:32Speaker 1: so I got him, I got JT number two, I
- 56:34Speaker 1: got Dalvin Cook. Dalvin Cook number three. Uh he has
- 56:38Speaker 1: his own little you know, injury risk as well. But
- 56:41Speaker 1: Austin Nicklin, Derrick Henry round out those top five. So
- 56:44Speaker 1: you got two guys that you it's all a risk,
- 56:47Speaker 1: but we've got two guys that again coming off injury issues.
- 56:49Speaker 1: McCaffrey I met last year. You drafted number one if
- 56:52Speaker 1: you did, um, and most people did last year UM,
- 56:55Speaker 1: and he was out most of the season. And then
- 56:57Speaker 1: again Dalvin Cook, where he kept just the ball a lot.
- 57:00Speaker 1: So if you're in the PPR league or a half
- 57:02Speaker 1: point PPR, those are points there as well. But again,
- 57:04Speaker 1: both of those guys coming off injuries and you are
- 57:07Speaker 1: saying that you would still take them in the top
- 57:08Speaker 1: three picks. I don't know if I'll take them in
- 57:10Speaker 1: the top three picks. But in terms of my top five,
- 57:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean because I and and just
- 57:16Speaker 1: say like I do like these these top three wide
- 57:19Speaker 1: receivers this year, these top three wide receivers have ridiculous
- 57:23Speaker 1: amount of upside, right, And I'll say this, between Dalwin
- 57:26Speaker 1: Cook and Christian McCaffrey, I honestly think that Dalvin Cook
- 57:28Speaker 1: is more of an injury risk than Christian mccaffy with
- 57:31Speaker 1: that shoulder. So then let's do this. Then give me
- 57:33Speaker 1: your top five picks. Um. Anyway, I have to roll
- 57:36Speaker 1: to the whole thing. But you know I could be
- 57:38Speaker 1: a look confused, I thought, because I would go if
- 57:40Speaker 1: it's me, I'm idiot, I'm going running back, running back
- 57:42Speaker 1: first two rounds and I'm an idiot, And I'm scared
- 57:43Speaker 1: of wide receivers because you just I just don't know
- 57:46Speaker 1: if they're going to get the ball, and so many
- 57:47Speaker 1: times like I just need three catches and I don't
- 57:50Speaker 1: even get that when I know some running backs are
- 57:52Speaker 1: gonna get some carries. But talk to me about what
- 57:55Speaker 1: you would do Uh, for let's do first six picks overall. Yeah,
- 57:59Speaker 1: so I have right now, I have Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor,
- 58:02Speaker 1: Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson, Jamaar Chase, and Cooper Cup. So
- 58:07Speaker 1: those so actually have three running backs there. And I
- 58:09Speaker 1: have the top three wide receivers in there as well.
- 58:11Speaker 1: So I guess the answers the question about the wide receivers.
- 58:13Speaker 1: So you have Jefferson at number one, is that right
- 58:15Speaker 1: in your wide receiver pool? Yes, sir, Justin Jefferson, followed
- 58:19Speaker 1: by Jamaar Chase, followed by Cooper Cup. And I know
- 58:21Speaker 1: a lot of people are gonna be surprised about Cooper
- 58:22Speaker 1: Cup being number three after the monster season that he
- 58:25Speaker 1: just had last year. But there is reason to believe
- 58:28Speaker 1: that Justin Jefferson and Jamaar Chase are the ones that
- 58:31Speaker 1: go absolutely nuclear this year. Uh, and Cooper Cup might
- 58:35Speaker 1: get you know, I mean, listen, his his season was
- 58:38Speaker 1: a bit of an outlier. It was an amazing fantasy season.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I think it was the top points ever for a
- 58:43Speaker 1: wide receiver for fantasy purposes. But I do think that
- 58:46Speaker 1: you know, he comes a little bit down. It's still
- 58:48Speaker 1: a number three, you know, so he's still gonna have
- 58:50Speaker 1: an amazing season, Jessin Jefferson with the new head coach
- 58:52Speaker 1: and a new offense that's probably going to help him.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Am I hearing that in what you're saying. You know
- 58:58Speaker 1: Kevin O'Connell coming in from the ram uh, you know
- 59:00Speaker 1: that system. And you know Jefferson just tweeted today he said,
- 59:04Speaker 1: I understand why Cooper Cup was so open last year.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Any credits the system, right, And we're gonna see Justin
- 59:10Speaker 1: Jefferson in the slot a whole lot this year, a
- 59:12Speaker 1: lot more than we saw last year. And he's gonna
- 59:14Speaker 1: be going up against linebackers and safeties, so you know,
- 59:16Speaker 1: it's wheels up for him. What about players that aren't
- 59:19Speaker 1: being appreciated and you look and go, why is there
- 59:22Speaker 1: adp so low? Okay, So there's a few guys, you know,
- 59:26Speaker 1: and these guys you know, are concerned for me personally,
- 59:28Speaker 1: like I'm not. I don't want to leave my draft
- 59:30Speaker 1: without a lot of these guys. Right Number one, you know,
- 59:32Speaker 1: I'm I'm talking about Breeze Hall in the fourth round.
- 59:35Speaker 1: He's a rookie running back who could potentially have you know,
- 59:38Speaker 1: a three down role. I understand bad offense, but you
- 59:41Speaker 1: know he's going to potentially catch a lot of balls.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Courtland Sutton in the fifth round, Alan Robinson in the
- 59:47Speaker 1: sixth round, Michael Thomas in the sixth round. One of
- 59:49Speaker 1: my favorites who this is like probably my number one
- 59:52Speaker 1: guy who I'm not leaving any draft without, is a
- 59:54Speaker 1: larger more. He's going in the eighth round. Right now,
- 59:58Speaker 1: you have Rashod Bateman going in this time with the round,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Brandon Aiyuk going in the ninth round. Um, and these
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: guys all have a common theme, right like, and that's
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that they're upside is league winning. You know they're upside
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: is top twelve, top fifteen at their position. Uh. And
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: those are the guys for me who are worth chasing.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I'm not somebody who likes to chase those safe floors.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I'm looking for potential league winners in every round because
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: if you hit more often than not, you're you probably
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: have a league winning team. A couple of people you
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: brought up there in San Francisco, Tray Lance coming in
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: a quarterback there. They obviously see something between those two.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: And I had to uh pretty get into the season
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: last year, at least the second half of the season.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I mean, is is he the guy? I mean, is
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: he the guy with with Trey Lance? You know it
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: very well, very well could be. And that's all the
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: reports that are coming out of training camp that not
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: only do they have a serious rapport going on with
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: each other, but on top of that, you seems to
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: have taken another step forward going into his third year.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: If you look at the second half of last year,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the season, it's hard to believe it, Brandon and you
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: actually out targeted Deebo Samuel Um, you know, in the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: second half once he was out of the doghouse and
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: became a full time player, uh and playing almost every snap.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: So going into this season, you know, Brendon was already
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: a great prospect. He had an amazing rookie year, so
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: the signs were all there for him to potentially break
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: out in a big way at some point. And it
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: seems to me like his skill set combined with Tree
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Lance attacking down the field, I think that could be
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a match me in Heaven. It seems like Garoppolo didn't
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: like to throw down the field as much, and maybe
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: that was a bit of why Deebo got the ball
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: in so many situations. They just wanted to get Depot
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: the ball off. It's in the back field if he
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: was catching the ball. But Trey Lance is a different
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: type of thrower. Any chance you would even draft at
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: all a Trey Lance if you leave him on the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: wave of wire and maybe pick him up later, No,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: I mean, he's going in the ninth round right now.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: And I think, you know, because of his rushing ability,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: because of the fact that he's tied to Cal Shanahan,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: because of the fact that he has guys like Kittle Debo,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I right, you know, and and these guys have an
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: amazing report. So I would not be surprised if he
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: ends the year as a top five fantasy quarterback. You know,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: even if he doesn't make the strides we we'd like
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: him to make in the past game. The rushing production
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: four quarterback is just that important if you play in
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: the standard league with four you know, point uh, if
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: you're playing a league with four point passing touchdowns, if
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: a rushing quarterback goes for eight hundred rushing yards, that's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: an extra passing touchdowns to add to that total. So
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: that's how important it is. Talking about Michael Thomas for
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: a second, because you brought him up. I think a
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: lot of people are curious as to how he's going
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: to perform this season. What are you seeing, what are
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: you feeling? Well, obviously there's risk, you know, baked into
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: his price right now, going in the sixth round. I
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: have a feeling that's gonna move up even further given
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: all the camp reports. We know what his upside is.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: You know, every single year since his rookie year he
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: broke out. Uh and he's improved every single year for
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: four straight years. Uh. And now you're getting a guy
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: who could potentially be a top twelve wide receiver going
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: in the potentially you know, six round right now. But
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: you know, if you're draft if you're drafting a couple
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: of weeks, most likely fifth round. Um. Like I said,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I'm a guy who's shooting for upside. He looks great
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: in camp right now. He could potentially be the number
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: one wide receiver. Remember he did his thing with Drew Brees,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: you know, towards the end of Drew Brees's career, when
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: he wasn't throwing down the field that much. Now with
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Jamis Winston, yes, he could potentially throw a lot of interceptions,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: but he's a guy who can produce Fantasy wide receivers,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: We've seen it before, potentially unlocking Michael Thomas Routrie intermediate deep,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: getting those high value throws and maybe not just slants,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you know, all game long. This would be the last
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: thing I ask you about the wide receivers here. But
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: you know, Davante Adams now playing for the Raiders and
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Hunter Renfro basically being that number two guy. But I
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: would assume there's still some good value in Hunter Renfro
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: because he's falling a bit and he's still gonna get
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: some looks. That's my assumption. But I'm not the expert here.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: How do you feel about that situation with Davante? And
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you know, I think that's a great call, you know,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: because he did his thing last year, you know, And
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I think when you produce, when you when you produce,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: regardless of whether who's around you, when you produce, not
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: at all wide receivers can say that, right, Like I,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I totally understand the point where, you know, when when
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: people trying to say that, well, he only produced because
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: he was the only guy there. However, that happens to
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: a lot of wide receivers and they don't end up producing.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: So I can totally see him being Now, I don't
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: have him ranked too high because I do think Devanta
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Adams is going to get the lion's share of the targets. However,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: we've seen Josh McDaniel's system, you know, produce a ton
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: of slot wide receivers, right Uh. You know, whether it
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: was Danny Amondolo, whether it was Wes Welker, whether whether
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: it was Julian Edelman. We've seen that, you know, throughout
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: his entire career. So I can totally see him out,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you know, out playing his a DP in a in
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: a big way. Um. But yeah, you know, he still
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: has to compete with Darren Waller as well, you know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: so this is a situation where the targets can be
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: shut out a little bit. Uh. That's why I have
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: a little bit of reservation for Hunter Renfroe. At the
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: same time, we know that he's talented and he could
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: potentially produce in this system. Give me three players that
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you feel are a little overvalued for whatever reason, and
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: they're probably being drafted a little too high. Number one,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I have Nick Chubb. You know, I understand he's one
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: of the best running backs in the league, for sure,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: but he's going off the board in the middle of
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the second round. He's not involved in the past game
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: at all. He still has Kareem Hunt there. Yes, there
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: is a possibly that Kareem Hunt ends him getting moved
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: where you know, Nick chub would definitely move up for sure,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: but not involved in the past game. You know, he
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: his his ceiling is a little bit capped because of
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: the fact that Kareem Hunt is there, because the fact
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: that he likely won't be seeing twenty plus carries a
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: whole lot um Antonio Gibson in the fourth round, you know,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: even early fifth round. He has Brian Robinson there potentially
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you know, ceiling carries on early downs, potentially being the
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: main goal line guy. Gibson had that role last year.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: He might not have that role this year. They have j. D.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: McKissick playing on passing downs and being the primary pass
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: catcher there. So it seems like it seems to me
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: that Antony Gibson might not get a whole lot of
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: high value touches this year unless he sees Unless we
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: see an injury to one of those running backs. J K. Dobbins,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: another guy around that same price tag early you know,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: fourth round, early fifth round. Jako Dobbins coming off the
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: A c L injury. I know that he's potentially going
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: to be ready for Week one, but coming off the
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: a c L injury, we don't know who the primary
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: goal linebacker is going to be between him and him
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: and Gus Edwards because we've seen them rotate that role
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: in his rookie year. Uh. In his rookie year, he
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: played so so well. He's a very very talented back. However,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: he didn't see more than fifteen carries that entire season,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: even with injuries in that backfield. So I feel like
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: there's a few red flags with j K Dobbers not
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: involved in the passing game at all. Um. You know,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: these are the type of guys that I like to avoid,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: especially when they're going in the range of some really
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: really good, high upside wide receivers. Drafting, it's always sexy
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: did to pick a rookie thing. You're like, oh man,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: they're gonna they're gonna crush there. But more times than not,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: I've been disappointed with rookie production. I think the one
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: rookie I drafted that ended up being really good for
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: me was was Nausea. Other than that, it's always been
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: hit or miss or mostly just miss. Now we look
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: at the rookies coming this year, Uh Spiller and Buffalo,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Trailon Burks, uh and Tennessee. Uh. You can go pickens, Like,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: what rookies do you think are worth drafting mid to
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: late because you think they will actually have production? Yeah.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I think Breeze Hall in the fourth round. You know,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: that's a solid pick just because you know he's one
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: of those guys who could potentially have an every down role.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: I know Michael Carter's there, but Breee Hall is somebody
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: that is a potentially special player. Uh. And these type
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: of players usually don't go in the fourth round. And
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I like to target these young you know, running backs
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: who have elite uh you know, profiles when it comes
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: to athleticism. Drake London. I know Mariotta's there right now,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: but it's basically him and Kyle Pits and the target
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: distribution is going to be super tight, uh, tightly distributed
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: between those two guys. So I think Drake London and
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: he's showing uh, you know, showing out in camp as well.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Treilan Burke's you know he's gonna have that opportunity, you know,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: basically laid out on a silver platform him. It's up
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: to him to take advantage. But where he's going in drafts,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I'm okay, you know, given the upside that he presents.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Sky More is somebody that who's very interesting in Kansas City. Uh.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Juju Smith profiles as that, you know, that number one
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: wide receiver behind Travis Kelsey. But sky More is somebody
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: who could potentially going much later than Juju, have a
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: similar production to Juju this year when it's all said
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: and done, it's looking like him and Patrick Mahomes are
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: potentially having having some real rapport. Just a couple of
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: guys just knockout real quickly. James Cook, if you're in
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: a full PPR league, you know, he could potentially do
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: big things for you. Uh. And Johan Dotson is a
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: sneaky one in Washington. It's hard to it's hard to
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: kind of look at Carson wins as somebody who could produce,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: you know, a couple of fantasy wire receivers there. But
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: he's looking like he's having a really good camp first
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: round pick, you know. But you know a lot of
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: people sleep be on him. I think, I said Spiller.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I don't know where I said Siller, I was going,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I got all these teams in my head, but he's in.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: He's with the charges right, taking by the chargers exactly exactly.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: He's gonna probably be number two. So okay, Well the
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: rookies the one you had taken the first four rounds though,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Breeze Hall. Other than that, you're you're waiting. Yes, that's right,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: that's right, and there's no rookies really worth taking until
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: you know eighth, ninth, tenth round. All right, we'll do
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: a quick little ending here. I'll give you the player
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: and just give me a say, thumbs up thumbs down
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: based on where they're projected to go in most of
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: the projections, like a nausey Harris good pick Fords projected
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: or now I have a thumbs down on him. Uh,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: you know, he had a ridiculous amount of work last
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: year and he finished as like the RB eight in
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: points per game. You know that's not gonna happen this year.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I think it's upside is capped a little bit for
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: where he's going. Swift and Detroit, big thumbs up. I
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: think he could potentially be a top three running back
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: this year. Jones in Green Bay, I was hiring him
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: hired on him earlier. But he is gonna take a
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: lot of those touches away, you know, those catches away
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: from you know, since Davanta Adams left. He's gonna assume
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: a lot of that potentially in this team and targets. Uh,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: solid second round pick. But I like guys like se
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Kwan and for Net over him us. Okay, I was
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: gonna say those are the two I was going next
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Sa Kwan. Obviously he was injured a lot of last year.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: But what how do you feel about him? Uh? You know,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: top three upside, you know, Uh, he looks great in camp.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: I think he has the potential to see eight two
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: hundred catches this year and just that alone on top
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: of potentially two fifty rushing attempts. Yeah, even on the
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: bad offense, he's a guy you want to target. For
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Net's interesting because he came in extremely heavy and we
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: don't think that's been talked about a lot. Do you
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: expect him to play at the way he played last
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: year and do you think he'll perform even even close
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: to kind of the unexpected production he had last year? Yeah,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I think he's already at the wait that he was
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: at last year. So I think he's all set. I
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: think that those reports early on in the off season,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: you know, it was kind of like it was short lived. Uh,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: he's looking it seems like he's looking good. He's about
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: to his weight. I know, the drift, the Rashad White there. However,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I think Tom Brady is gonna pepper for net on
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: early downs. It's a good offense and you know he's
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: gonna have that goal line role. So I'm perfectly happy
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: to taking him at the end of the second round,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: im and say, everybody listening, this is the guy. It's
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: my favorite guy. I didn't know him. I literally was
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: just on the for you page and I always check
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: out fantasy folks, and I spent some time looking at
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: upper Hand Fantasy and I was like, okay, I'm gonna fall.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I don't even allow that many people, but to me,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: he is the best, and I'm super pumped you came on.

- 1:13:05Speaker 1: dependent on type, a number of n f T s held,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: el supply, border prohibidency, Draft Kings dot Com for the tales. Alright,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: boys and girls, let's do this your final sports opinion
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: of the week. I'm gonna go to our whistling Dixie,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: even whistle Dixie bea did whistle. I couldn't think of
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: anything else to go with whistle. But Kevin, you're up first. Okay,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I don't know who you're going the final sports opinion
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: of the week. I am upset but also jealous at
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: the same time of the Steelers organization because they continue
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: to find wide receivers that are just slept on and
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: passed on. And they found another one in George Pickens.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: We all knew he was good at Georgia, but he
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: had some injury concerns and he was hurt last year.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: And what do they do. They pick them up in
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: second round. And I know it's only been one game,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: one preseason game, but he already looks like it stud
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: looks like a dude. And as a Patriots fan, we
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: don't know how to draft any wide receivers. So just
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: one time, Bill just draft a good receiver, but correct
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: pickings looked awesome. Uh, And I think it's gonna make
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Kenny pick It really good, pretty good, but really good. Considering.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Do you think Canny pick is gonna start? Um? Maybe
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: not week one, but I think by week six same.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I think he's gonna make Kenny pick Itt good. Like
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: for the next three or four years, he's gonna make
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Kenny pick It a good quarterback. Um. But it's a
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: preseason game one, I know, I know, and I don't know,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: but this is what the Steelers do. They take these
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: wide receivers, develop them, Deonte Johnson, look at the Patriots,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: so they make defensive players, they make linebackers out of it.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I know. Yeah, So I guess everybody has their own
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: little niche. Yeah. I like it though, Eddie, what you got? Yeah.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: So I've been watching a lot of training camp footage,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: coverage and all that stuff, and I just think from
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: the cool fights that there have been every time like
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: a team comes in and oh, we're gonna do a
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: little scrimmage, there's a huge fight together every single time.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: So instead of preseason games, I would like to televise
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: training camps like those scrimmages that they have with announcers
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: and everything, Let's go because those are fun to watch.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Those fights are amazing. I'd rather watch that than dumb
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: preseasons week one and two. So you want to televise
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: preseason scrimmages for their little paths on their helmets. I
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: don't think that you're wrong, because at one point someone
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: said I want to televise the combine, and idiots went,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: that's stupid. Who's gonna watch people run? And I love
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: it and we love it. I love it. I don't
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: watch all of it, but I definitely if I don't
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: watch it, I go check and see. So if there's
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: a way to make money, even like you know, a
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: stream of training camp would be cool because like I
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: was watching the Chiefs too, and I saw my home
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: is just half pasting exercises like not even touching his toes,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: not even going past his knees, and I'm like, this
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: is good stuff, and the people to work out harder. Yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: all right, Adam Handburg, who um Titans fans. I've heard
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: a lot of grumbling about Ryan tan Hill, especially after
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: he folded up against the Bengals like a cheap launch
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: here Um, but something kind of like I heard some
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: stats this week that kind of changed my thought outs
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: on how he performed last year. They were talking about
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: how much down and distance he had to go on
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: third down because the Titans ran the ball on first
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: and second down more than any other team in the NFL.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Which you're not shocked about that because they have uh,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: you know, King Henry. But on third down, Tannehill had
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: so much down and distance to go and everybody on
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: the field knew that he was throwing the ball on
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: third down all year long last year, and they still
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: won all those games, they still made an FC championship. Um.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: He he showed up in some big spots last year,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: especially when Taylor one was coming off surgery. They were
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: chipping with running backs, chipping with tight ends, so he
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: was down a man and everybody on the field knew
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: every time he was throwing the ball. UM. So I'm
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: really interested to see what they got this year with
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: the he with a healthier offensive line. UM, Derrick Henry
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: back full speed. UM. I'm not out on Ryan tan Hill.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: I think he's a good quarterback and I I think he's
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: gonna have a good year. And finally I'll go, I
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: think to live towards good for golf. And here's why.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Come on, now you're talking, I do think it's good
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: for golf. Come on, let's go on and hear this. So,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: first of all, the Saudis don't care about golf. They
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: literally don't. They don't play over there. Well listen, I
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: don't know what they do over there. They're not buying
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: and I don't know what they're doing. But this, it's
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: like the Saudis sovereign wealth fund that is funding this,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: and they do things in order to allow a better
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: view of their country. And they decided to get into sports.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: To do this. They have unlimited money and so that's
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: how they're able to That's why there you know, hud
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Dustin Johnson two. So and it is right now, it's
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: a novel to see them doing. But what's happening is
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the PGA is having to go, oh, we have competition,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: we have to get better. And you're seeing it a
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: little bit and they don't want to admit it, but
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: they're going next year, persons are gonna be bigger. Well
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: next you know, they're seeing the live tour, which, by
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: the way, by them making it better, I'm not saying
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: the live towards awesome, because I think that is some
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: bad money right there. The PG has got to step
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: to work on too. Every every business does. That's real
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: bad money there. That's like nine eleven money there that
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: that same money funded what that is? So, but what's
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: happening is if we're just looking at golf, they're going
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: to make the p g A have to learn to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: be more competitive and more compelling as as an organization.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I don't think the Lift Tour is gonna be around
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: forever either. I think it's a novel thing to be
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: on for a few years it's gone, we'll remember it.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: We'll remember a few of film milkers will always be
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: associated with going to the live tour. But I think
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: just for golf, I think it's good for golf because
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: you get better because of competition or and somebody pushing you. Now,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: are they going to try to make money from this
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: or they just cool giving these guys a lot of money?
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: The money is like they're the currency they're making. Is
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: a better look for Saudi Arabia more like that? Yeah,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: they don't care like way more than golf. Yeah that's
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: not They have billions and billions and billions dollars. Yeah,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: it's so Yes, they're not making dollars, but what they
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: want there getting, which is maybe people going on side
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: side is not so bad because that's the goal of that.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: They do other things too, but this is how they're
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: doing it. In sports. What sucks for us is we
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: don't get to watch like Phil and you know a
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: lot of the I mean, I don't know, there aren't
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: like huge, huge names, but if you are a Dustin
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Johnson fan, you don't get to see him unless you
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: go to YouTube and watch lived. I don't know anyone
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: watch unless I was watching a major anyway. I wasn't
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: saying any Dustin Johnson anyway, Oh, I was, man, Yeah,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: but you're gambling on So I guess if you're on
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Draftking sports Book and during the morning trying to get
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: fixed for the next day, is they're you know, playing
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: an Omaha and then you know the stake open. But
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I think that for golf only. I think the Live
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Tours great for golf because it's making the p g
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: A have to address some things that they didn't have
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: to address because they had no competition, and so the
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: PGA will now get better. Listen, Tiger flew. I think
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Kem and Rory flew in. Tiger in his own car
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: drove over to this meeting. It was like f like
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: they had the big meeting like two days ago, and
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: you Tiger Land getting his what what's his brands? It
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: was a niece on he It was the it's whatever
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: you wrecked in, right, But but that's his an endorsement genesis.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: But what is his company? That's a weird You think
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Tiger would get like a Porsche or something it used
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: to be. I think it's whatever it is. He gets
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: in like a mom car and you're like, it was
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: like a silver SUV soccer mom car. Yeah, so that's
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: my opinion. Um, I hate to live tour and I
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: hope it burns. And I do think it's making golf
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: better because the pgs happened to correct some things they
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: would have never had to correct otherwise. All right, that'll
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: do it, folks. Mike, if you want to hit the
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: music there, let me thank DraftKings, our great wonderful sponsor
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: and Ed he's gonna go check out Rainmakers Football for sure.

- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I don't have to. Okay, but let me just say
