- 0:00Speaker 1: Did you see anything cool?
- 0:01Speaker 2: Because a lot of people say in Antarctica that they're
- 0:03Speaker 2: hiding secret stuff up there, that there's that kind of energy.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Yeah, Antarctica.
- 0:07Speaker 3: You should go to Antarctica at some time in your life.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Oh, I would love to go up there. They'll have
- 0:11Speaker 1: me up there.
- 0:12Speaker 2: So....
- 0:14Speaker 3: There's like, uh, there's you, you go to South America
- 0:17Speaker 3: and then you get on a Boeing 747, like an actual,
- 0:20Speaker 3: like commercial plane.
- 0:20Speaker 1: You go to South America. Yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 3: You go all the way to like the very bottom
- 0:24Speaker 3: of Chile.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Antarctica is at the bottom.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Um, and then, uh, you board like a commercial plane,
- 0:29Speaker 3: like you're flying like fucking Delta here and it just
- 0:33Speaker 3: starts flying and you just, you fly over the ocean
- 0:36Speaker 3: and then you see just this, just endless abyss of
- 0:40Speaker 3: white snow and mountains. and you just keep flying deeper
- 0:43Speaker 3: and deeper and deeper into it. And then you just
- 0:45Speaker 3: see this just fucking ice runway. I mean, it's the
- 0:49Speaker 3: sketchiest thing you'll ever see in your life. And it
- 0:51Speaker 3: just lands this commercial airliner there. I had no idea
- 0:54Speaker 3: of any of this going into it. I kind of
- 0:55Speaker 3: went into it pretty raw and, uh, you get off.
- 0:58Speaker 3: It's just this janky little like ladder thing type B. Um, it's, uh,
- 1:03Speaker 3: they know, yeah, go down one image right there at
- 1:05Speaker 3: that one. Click on it. Cause they have to brush
- 1:06Speaker 3: all the snow off. Yeah. That's what you land on.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Just ice.
- 1:09Speaker 3: And then, um, then that's not the one we went to,
- 1:12Speaker 3: but then there's just this, uh, research facility where there's
- 1:16Speaker 3: like three big tents that researchers work out of. And
- 1:18Speaker 3: then there's like a hundred tents that they all live
- 1:19Speaker 3: out of.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Um, so there's no actual terminal.
- 1:22Speaker 3: No, because, uh, there it's like, so the time where
- 1:25Speaker 3: it's like sun 24, seven, but then there's like these
- 1:28Speaker 3: intense winters, like three or four months a year where
- 1:30Speaker 3: it's like dark and you can't be there. So they
- 1:32Speaker 3: have to pack everything up and leave. You can't leave
- 1:34Speaker 3: anything behind. So it's like a temporary thing. Um, And
- 1:37Speaker 3: so we get out and there's all these researchers doing
- 1:39Speaker 3: experiments and cool shit. And I'm just like, Hey, I'm
- 1:42Speaker 3: here to film a video. Um, so, and then a snow.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So we were supposed to just be there for like
- 1:47Speaker 3: two days or three days or whatever, but a snowstorm hits.
- 1:50Speaker 3: So what we were going to do is just go
- 1:52Speaker 3: out in a random direction and then just set up
- 1:54Speaker 3: a camp in the middle of nowhere in Antarctica and
- 1:55Speaker 3: try to survive for 50 hours. But there was an
- 1:58Speaker 3: intense snowstorm. So we're just, we had to sit in
- 1:59Speaker 3: these research facilities and wait them out. Um, and one
- 2:02Speaker 3: of them It was so crazy. It's like this tent
- 2:05Speaker 3: with like door and it like flew the door, flung
- 2:08Speaker 3: it open. It was so intense that we had to
- 2:10Speaker 3: like hold the door shut because it's like barreling snow.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And I'm like, my God, I think we're going to die.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Like it was crazy. They're like, we haven't had a
- 2:20Speaker 3: storm like this in a while. And like you have
- 2:23Speaker 3: like all these little tents that you live in and
- 2:25Speaker 3: like the big communal tents for where everyone hangs out
- 2:27Speaker 3: and stuff. And the little tent, like we had to
- 2:29Speaker 3: build like actual snow walls around our tent because there's
- 2:32Speaker 3: so much wind blowing that like our tents would have
- 2:35Speaker 3: got swept away. So we had to, I had to
- 2:36Speaker 3: barricade the, I'm like, this is just the normal thing.
- 2:39Speaker 3: They're like, yeah, that's just what happens. And so you're
- 2:40Speaker 3: like building a wall around your, your, you know, metal
- 2:44Speaker 3: pole reinforced tent that you're going to sleep in. Um,
- 2:46Speaker 3: and like when the winds would pick up at night, I'm,
- 2:49Speaker 3: I'm like, fuck, it's like, Is my tent just going
- 2:51Speaker 3: to fly off?
- 2:52Speaker 1: And there's nowhere to run to.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you just run to the bigger tent. But it's like,
- 2:56Speaker 3: it was crazy. You know, and also in Antarctica, probably
- 2:58Speaker 3: it's like, you can't pee or shit in the snow
- 3:01Speaker 3: or anything. Like, because you can't leave anything behind. Like,
- 3:03Speaker 3: that's massively illegal. And so everything, all your waste and stuff,
- 3:08Speaker 3: you have to store and carry and hold and that
- 3:10Speaker 3: kind of stuff.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Fly back with it?
- 3:11Speaker 3: Well, they will. But you'll just put it in like,
- 3:14Speaker 3: like a piss tank where they'll hold onto it and
- 3:16Speaker 3: the shit and the shit bag that they like this
- 3:18Speaker 3: big shit thing they had. Um, but also you get
- 3:22Speaker 3: snow blindness because there's, everything's white and the sun reflects.
- 3:25Speaker 3: So you have to wear glasses when you go outside
- 3:27Speaker 3: or you'll literally blind you, which was like, That was crazy.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Imagine, first of all, you're almost blind. Can't shit. Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Well, so you wear these like tinted glasses. What are
- 3:37Speaker 3: you even doing, dude? It's like you're 80 years old.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It's so beautiful, though. It's like crazy to just see.
- 3:44Speaker 3: You're just in the middle of nowhere. It feels like
- 3:46Speaker 3: you're on a different planet. And it was like sometimes
- 3:50Speaker 3: you just walk outside. You just walk in a direction.
- 3:52Speaker 3: You just see nothing anywhere. And it was awesome.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Is there a zoo or anything like that? No, there's nothing.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Is there any?
- 3:58Speaker 3: No animals, nothing.
- 3:59Speaker 1: No roads or nothing, huh? No, there's literally nothing there.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I mean, and like, so after the snowstorm calmed down,
- 4:05Speaker 3: we just went out, like got on these like little
- 4:07Speaker 3: skis or things, went far away. But this is where
- 4:10Speaker 3: it gets scary because there's crevasses and ravines and things
- 4:14Speaker 3: like that. So you could be walking and then just
- 4:17Speaker 3: fall a hundred feet and die, right? Cause there's like
- 4:19Speaker 3: the snow could have like slightly piled up over like
- 4:22Speaker 3: a hundred foot gap in between the ice or things
- 4:24Speaker 3: like that. So you have to have like, this device
- 4:26Speaker 3: go out in front of you that checks to make
- 4:28Speaker 3: sure there's not just like a giant hole you're going
- 4:29Speaker 3: to fall in. You have to mark everything. So we
- 4:32Speaker 3: go out in this random direction, scan everything. And then we, uh,
- 4:36Speaker 3: scanned like this little, like a hundred foot square foot perimeter,
- 4:39Speaker 3: put up flags. And it's like, guys, if you walk
- 4:41Speaker 3: across those flags, there's a chance you'll fucking die. So
- 4:44Speaker 3: boys stay within this unless we scan more areas. And then, yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 3: we just started setting up tents, raw dogging it in
- 4:50Speaker 3: the middle of nowhere, Antarctica, far away from the research facilities.
- 4:53Speaker 3: And It was, it was a fucking awesome experience. And
- 4:56Speaker 3: then there's this mountain that no one had any records
- 4:59Speaker 3: of someone climbing. So we climbed this pretty tall mountain.
- 5:03Speaker 3: And so I got to name it, um, which. I
- 5:06Speaker 3: named it Shopify because they sponsored the video and helped
- 5:08Speaker 3: make the whole thing happen. But like it was crazy, man.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Climbing up this mountain and I just, I had no
- 5:15Speaker 3: idea how we did that. Can you pull it up?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Just like go to the 50 hours in Antarctica.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Is it nice?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Like, and there's no people, there's not like Antarctic and
- 5:25Speaker 2: you can't go to a bar or nothing.
- 5:26Speaker 1: There's nothing.
- 5:27Speaker 3: No, there's literally nothing. Like there's research facilities.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So do you think there's crazy stuff going on down there?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Like they say there's a lot of.
- 5:35Speaker 3: no i don't think there's anything i didn't i yeah
- 5:37Speaker 3: that see look at that wow it's fucking crazy yeah
- 5:42Speaker 3: we were deep in there.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And it's super cold huh.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Yeah it depends on the time they're they're well so
- 5:48Speaker 3: the problem is like when you move around and you
- 5:51Speaker 3: have so many layers you start to heat up and
- 5:52Speaker 3: then you take the clothes off and then you get
- 5:54Speaker 3: really cold yeah so you look where we went to Is.
- 5:56Speaker 2: There a chance that at one point it was thawed
- 5:58Speaker 2: out and it was a normal land and we'll be
- 6:00Speaker 2: able to explore it one day and we just don't know,
- 6:01Speaker 2: or that's complete.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Well, there's a, it's not straight. Like those are real
- 6:05Speaker 3: rocks and stuff. So it's ice on top of stuff.
- 6:06Speaker 3: So yeah, there is land. Um, and it is crazy that,
- 6:10Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Look at that snowstorm we got hit with. So this
- 6:14Speaker 3: is after we left the research facility and now we're
- 6:17Speaker 3: going to set up camp and like, yeah, those, those
- 6:20Speaker 3: are the goggles you have to wear to not go blind. Um,
- 6:23Speaker 3: And then right here is where.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It's like a human Iditarod kind of... Oh, that's the island?
- 6:26Speaker 1: That's the mountain you named? No, no.
- 6:28Speaker 3: That's just Blackhound. Yeah, the mountain's behind us over there.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And then this is us setting up our tents and just...
- 6:34Speaker 3: I mean, we're just a bunch of stupid kids. I
- 6:35Speaker 3: don't know how we pulled this off.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you could have lost a kid easy.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Well, yeah, obviously, we had a safety expert there, but.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but obviously, that's.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Then just skip ahead towards the end where you see
- 6:46Speaker 3: me climbing up the mountain. It's probably... Yeah, I don't know.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Maybe after this or before it. I just wanted to see.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And that's just an ice thing you're in?
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah, keep going to the left.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Is that an igloo?
- 6:57Speaker 3: No, that's the tent, but it's metal reinforced. Yeah, to
- 7:00Speaker 3: the right a little bit. Yeah, right there. Just hit it.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Right click a couple or double tap. Yeah, so look
- 7:06Speaker 3: at this right here. This is us climbing up the mountain.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Look at those views. It's fucking gnarly.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Shopify mountain.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I did an ad read. I was like, what's
- 7:17Speaker 3: the most interesting time I can do an ad read?
- 7:20Speaker 3: And I was like, where people wouldn't click off. I
- 7:21Speaker 3: was like, you know, while I'm climbing this mountain, it'll
- 7:23Speaker 3: probably be more interesting.
