Derek Barnett, a former first-round pick and fan favorite with the Texans, has inked a one-year, up to $5.5M deal with the Cleveland Browns — stepping in to fill the void left by injured star Alex Wright. After three solid seasons with Houston, where he racked up 12.5 sacks and two touchdowns, Barnett’s departure was partly due to the team’s pivot toward Jadeveon Clowney.
