- 3:32Speaker 1: david they join me in studio this evening and every
- 3:40Speaker 1: show we have a theme every show we have a
- 3:41Speaker 1: theme that we establish right at the outset right at
- 3:46Speaker 1: the start and given everything that's gone down the past
- 3:51Speaker 1: week and you know the recess bell if you don't
- 3:53Speaker 1: buy now Sports, music, pop culture, mental health. That is
- 3:57Speaker 1: what we cover every week. That's what we cover and
- 4:00Speaker 1: dedicate ourselves to as a platform with some, you know,
- 4:03Speaker 1: like I said, mental health undertones and the like. Talk
- 4:07Speaker 1: about everything. Every possible imaginable type of thing. Even scams. Yeah.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It's a scam or be scam society out here. If
- 4:25Speaker 1: I've learned anything from the stories that I had to
- 4:28Speaker 1: research that we are going to cover tonight, it is
- 4:32Speaker 1: truly scam or get scammed. What's the phrase? Dog eat
- 4:36Speaker 1: dog society. It might be a scam or get scammed society.
- 4:43Speaker 1: But even with that being said, never in my wildest dreams.
- 4:47Speaker 1: We have some breaking news in the NBA. I will
- 4:50Speaker 1: get to. We always got news that we got to
- 4:53Speaker 1: get to in the political world. A lot of stuff
- 4:57Speaker 1: we got to get to, but let me just say
- 5:00Speaker 1: before anything else, I never thought in my wildest dreams, right?
- 5:07Speaker 1: That a man could dress up as a football player, headband, helmet,
- 5:19Speaker 1: workouts on the beach, And I never thought that would
- 5:25Speaker 1: actually like, listen, I wanted to be like an NBA
- 5:27Speaker 1: player one day until like my height disagree with me.
- 5:30Speaker 1: It is what it is. I wanted to be, you know, somebody.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I thought it was somebody else in the park. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: used to think I was Chris Paul in the park.
- 5:40Speaker 1: dressing in all the apparel, dropping two points a session.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's all good. But I never thought that somebody could
- 5:46Speaker 1: dress up as an NFL player and not only actually
- 5:48Speaker 1: fool people in convincing that he was an NFL player,
- 5:52Speaker 1: but in fact, scam multiple women. And I'm not talking,
- 5:57Speaker 1: when I say multiple, I am not talking two, four, seven, 10,
- 6:03Speaker 1: 20 even. I'm talking upwards of 25 women out of 1.3
- 6:10Speaker 1: million American dollars.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 1: The wide deceiver scandal. Good Lord. Dropped five days ago.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I saw it on my timeline. I couldn't believe it.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I really couldn't believe it. Scam. Scam or get scammed
- 6:26Speaker 1: for real. So what exactly happened here? Dajon Love. 35
- 6:35Speaker 1: years old, arrested with co-conspirator Taylor Jamie Chen, who was
- 6:39Speaker 1: 18 years old. Damn, kid, life ain't even start for
- 6:42Speaker 1: you yet, bro. Have been arrested for conspiracy to commit
- 6:47Speaker 1: wire fraud and wire fraud. Now, given that this was
- 6:52Speaker 1: five days ago, Leigh, Corey, I assume you had some
- 6:57Speaker 1: interesting reactions. Now, Corey, you always speak about the wonders
- 7:02Speaker 1: of scamming society. You've always talked about the PPP business
- 7:08Speaker 1: loans during the COVID time. You've discussed things like this frequently.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And this is right up your alley. I mean, this
- 7:15Speaker 1: is a guy pretending to be a wide receiver in
- 7:18Speaker 1: the NFL. Like I said, the wide deceiver scandal. What
- 7:23Speaker 1: were your thoughts on this situation when you first saw it?
- 7:26Speaker 2: First of all, I was just like... So when females
- 7:29Speaker 2: be like, yeah, you know, I got athletes in my DMs.
- 7:31Speaker 2: This athlete that you be talking about probably. And I
- 7:36Speaker 2: was like, the fact that there wasn't just one of
- 7:39Speaker 2: these dudes. It was like, I think they caught like
- 7:41Speaker 2: two or three of them trying to do this whole, like,
- 7:44Speaker 2: I'm in the NFL thing. But you could literally tell
- 7:47Speaker 2: Buddy was not in the NFL. I'm like, you should
- 7:51Speaker 2: have seen that beach worker. I'm like, what?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Something don't look right here. I don't know what it is.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It don't look right here.
- 7:59Speaker 2: And the fact that he was like, when he did
- 8:01Speaker 2: the whole explaining how he got into the NFL, I'm
- 8:05Speaker 2: just like, nobody do that. Nobody does that. Like, how
- 8:09Speaker 2: he broke it down. Either you go undrafted or you
- 8:13Speaker 2: are drafted.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Like, there's two simple ways. Maybe these 26 women, and
- 8:18Speaker 1: I believe the district attorney of Oregon, because that's where
- 8:22Speaker 1: he got arrested. I believe that they said there was
- 8:25Speaker 1: even more victims in the 26th, but maybe they just
- 8:27Speaker 1: thought he was, you know, a special case.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I've never seen a person love their helmet like he
- 8:35Speaker 2: loved that helmet, that 49ers helmet.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I mean.
- 8:39Speaker 6: That's all you saw on the page.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I couldn't even find his page. Like, is it like
- 8:44Speaker 1: taken down?
- 8:45Speaker 6: Probably.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Yeah I was trying to find I was dead trying
- 8:48Speaker 1: to find Either.
- 8:49Speaker 7: He took it down himself Or You know He was
- 8:52Speaker 7: too embarrassed So he took it down himself I was.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Dead trying to find That page for the longest Like
- 8:56Speaker 2: I gotta I gotta see how he He finessed these
- 8:58Speaker 2: people Uh It was just the stupidest thing And I'm
- 9:01Speaker 2: like The only thing I'm trying to figure out, what
- 9:05Speaker 2: was he getting? So I'm assuming that he was scamming
- 9:08Speaker 2: these girls out the money and that funded his lifestyle
- 9:12Speaker 2: to rent. Because I'm going to assume he rented these Lambos,
- 9:17Speaker 2: these McLarens and all these other things. And that actually
- 9:20Speaker 2: helped gas up for his next victims. So I was like,
- 9:24Speaker 2: he had a little ecosystem of like, I scammed one
- 9:27Speaker 2: person to fund this, to scam another person to fund that.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'll say this. You know, times is tough these days.
- 9:33Speaker 1: We all know the state of the economy and gas
- 9:35Speaker 1: being $ 4 for the longest time now. I'll say this. Obviously,
- 9:41Speaker 1: disclaimer right here. Before I get myself in trouble. Scamming
- 9:48Speaker 1: is wrong, right? I fully acknowledge that. But I will say,
- 9:51Speaker 1: have you ever met anybody more resourceful and more idea-driven,
- 9:56Speaker 1: more creative than a scammer?
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 1: They come up with the most elaborate schemes, well-detailed. They
- 10:04Speaker 1: run their scams like a well-oiled machine, I gotta say.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's like, scamming is bad, right? You said scamming is bad?
- 10:10Speaker 1: It's abhorrent, yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You could have had me fooled with how Young Miami
- 10:16Speaker 2: songs trended for like a good minute with all my scamming.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Spin that money fast. Boost it.
- 10:25Speaker 6: This is where y'all at.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Go in that Goyard bag. Spin it.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Spin that sheet.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:35Speaker 2: And I was like, he was living up to the
- 10:38Speaker 2: words of those songs, I believe. Except he ain't probably.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Have a Goyard.
- 10:44Speaker 6: He definitely had a Goyard.
- 10:45Speaker 1: He definitely got them ladies to go in that Goyard bag.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I ain't going to hold you. You know what I'm
- 10:51Speaker 1: trying to say? A thousand dollars a pop. I'm trying
- 10:53Speaker 1: to see these ladies.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I want to see, because I was like, I wonder who,
- 10:57Speaker 2: what type of female was he targeting?
- 10:58Speaker 1: The mid ones. It had to be, right? No, I
- 11:02Speaker 1: actually saw some of them. I wasn't moved.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because I'm like, I believe the ones who are
- 11:08Speaker 2: on it, like the Brittany Renners and stuff, they know.
- 11:12Speaker 2: They can tell. They can scout talent. They can see
- 11:15Speaker 2: from a distance who is and who isn't. Like, If
- 11:19Speaker 2: you ask a Chinese kitty, she can tell who's an athlete.
- 11:21Speaker 2: If you know who that is, if you know who
- 11:25Speaker 2: that is. You can tell who knows and who probably wouldn't.
- 11:28Speaker 2: He was probably going after somebody who, if she even
- 11:32Speaker 2: thought that it was an athlete, oh, she felt gassed.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I mean, of course. I saw somebody talking like, oh,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I got one of the best wide receivers in the
- 11:42Speaker 1: NFL in my DMs. That's all you need to know.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Now it's just like, hey, this is what I said
- 11:48Speaker 1: the other week, though. At what point does clout chasing
- 11:50Speaker 1: become a disease? Didn't something come out about him in
- 11:56Speaker 1: minors or something like that?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I believe the direct quote, he was
- 12:04Speaker 1: talking to somebody that was 17 years old, and he
- 12:07Speaker 1: pulled out the exact cliche that a PDF file would
- 12:11Speaker 1: typically say under those circumstances, oh, you know, we can
- 12:13Speaker 1: stay friends until you're 18. He hit.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Him with the double whammy because he pulled that move out,
- 12:22Speaker 2: and then he pulled the Diddy move out and said,
- 12:24Speaker 2: you know, I like watching you mess with another person.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I was like, he was into that Voyager thing. Not
- 12:32Speaker 2: the king chain, not the king chain, but that's wild.
- 12:37Speaker 1: No, I think we've established that TRB is very anti-cuck chair.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I think we've been established that, actually. Yeah. So there's
- 12:44Speaker 1: no worries there. Yeah, we'll talk about that story. But yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 1: the theme of the show is scamming society. Because it
- 12:51Speaker 1: wasn't just that. Around 420, blaze it, this afternoon, we
- 12:57Speaker 1: got big news out of the NBA. 364 days after
- 13:06Speaker 1: it was first reported by Pablo Torre of The Athletic.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Pablo Torre finds out. Pablo, a.k.a. Omar from the wire. Hey,
- 13:13Speaker 1: Pablo out here. Pablo coming. Pablo coming. Kawhi Leonard has
- 13:19Speaker 1: finally been punished.
- 13:21Speaker 4: The L.A.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Clippers more specifically have been punished. This is from Sham
- 13:26Speaker 1: Sharania right here, NBA senior insider. Breaking. The NBA has
- 13:30Speaker 1: ruled on the Los Angeles Clippers for salary cap circumvention
- 13:35Speaker 1: investigations into Kawhi Leonard. Stripping the franchise of five first-round picks.
- 13:44Speaker 1: A $ 30 million fine to owner Steve Ballmer. If you
- 13:48Speaker 1: don't know Steve Ballmer, he's Mr. Microsoft, richest owner of sports.
- 13:51Speaker 1: He'll be fine. But suspensions to Ballmer, Lawrence Frank, and
- 13:56Speaker 1: others within the Clipper organization. Kawhi Leonard got to pay
- 13:59Speaker 1: back $ 700, 000 as part of the punishment. Uncle Dennis, his agent,
- 14:08Speaker 1: you ain't got to leave, but you got to get
- 14:09Speaker 1: up out of here. Banned from the NBA and all
- 14:13Speaker 1: dealings for the foreseeable future. Now, we talked about this
- 14:18Speaker 1: story 364 days ago, roughly, around when it first dropped.
- 14:23Speaker 1: And I was skeptical about whether the NBA would actually
- 14:27Speaker 1: punish Kawhi Leonard. The recess bell is very big on journalism,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'll say, so. The way journalism is now, the state
- 14:34Speaker 1: of it, you could have the most impeccable reporting, as
- 14:38Speaker 1: I can probably say Pablo Torre had here. But how
- 14:42Speaker 1: much does it really matter if the people you're investigating,
- 14:45Speaker 1: if they're into criminal activity, never really get found, never
- 14:50Speaker 1: really get held, I should say, accountable? I mean, we
- 14:54Speaker 1: talk about the state of the Trump administration all the time.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So do you know how many things have been reported
- 14:59Speaker 1: about them? But when it comes to the actual punishment accountability,
- 15:05Speaker 1: you hear crickets. That's how it's been on a loop
- 15:08Speaker 1: since 2024 November. So I am surprised to see Kawhi
- 15:12Speaker 1: Leonard and the Clippers more specifically again. The Clippers got
- 15:15Speaker 1: the bulk of the punishment. They lost five consecutive first
- 15:18Speaker 1: round picks. And they don't even have Mikael Bridges. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 1: sorry about that. But damn, you get stripped for five
- 15:27Speaker 1: first round picks in a row. That's damn near... Homicide
- 15:32Speaker 1: of the Clippers organization for the short term future. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: can't believe that that was the punishment. But I will say,
- 15:38Speaker 1: is it a fitting punishment for what the allegations were?
- 15:42Speaker 1: I got to say yes. I got to say yes.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So we'll talk about that for sure. Again, almost a
- 15:48Speaker 1: year in the making. Adam Silver waiting until the one
- 15:52Speaker 1: year deadline right before he said, you know what? I'm
- 15:54Speaker 1: going to go ahead and punish these people. Yeah, I'll
- 15:57Speaker 1: do it today. Damn. We'll get to that. What the
- 16:00Speaker 1: hell was that?
- 16:02Speaker 6: That was a little burp I did. I'm sorry.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You got that indigestion, shorty?
- 16:07Speaker 6: Yeah, something like that. I've been hungry. A little hungry,
- 16:10Speaker 6: that's all.
- 16:11Speaker 1: What did you eat today?
- 16:14Speaker 6: Some fried rice and steak.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Fried rice and steak? Maybe it's just not agreeing with
- 16:21Speaker 1: your stomach that much.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Maybe not.
- 16:23Speaker 1: It's not in agreement with your intestines.
- 16:25Speaker 6: I drank a lot of water. I don't know. So
- 16:27Speaker 6: maybe that is.
- 16:29Speaker 1: It's good to drink a lot of water, though. I
- 16:31Speaker 1: can't confirm that. Well, feel better. Tough it out, please.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I am.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Much to get to on the recess bell on air, man.
- 16:39Speaker 1: We got a big-time return in the NFL. An all-time
- 16:43Speaker 1: great joining a super team in Los Angeles. We'll talk
- 16:46Speaker 1: about that during the sports report. Drop the bomb on
- 16:56Speaker 1: the flex. That's hilarious. Got the news report. Coming up. Yo,
- 17:03Speaker 1: they finally convicted the killer of Tupac, or one of them. Damn.
- 17:10Speaker 6: Oh, but wait, there's more.
- 17:11Speaker 1: After three decades. Yeah, there's definitely more to that story.
- 17:15Speaker 1: We're going to get to that.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I don't know why, but since this whole thing's happened,
- 17:19Speaker 2: you know what's been trending on Twitter?
- 17:22Speaker 1: What's that?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Because I guess after Tupac died, there was like mad
- 17:26Speaker 2: clones online. Like mad rapper clones that tried to copy
- 17:30Speaker 2: his style. And I've just been finding out people who
- 17:32Speaker 2: just blatantly tried.
- 17:35Speaker 1: To do Tupac one for one. It was the funniest
- 17:38Speaker 1: thing ever. That's crazy.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I was like this. I was like growing up. I
- 17:41Speaker 2: was listening to Lil Zayn calling me with 112.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I never realized, yo, he really stole Tupac whole flow.
- 17:48Speaker 1: But, you know, they say imitation is the highest form
- 17:51Speaker 1: of flattery. They're like, even hearing it back, I live
- 17:53Speaker 1: a life of the celebrity. I was like, that definitely
- 17:57Speaker 1: sounds like Pac. It was like, oh, no. And it
- 18:01Speaker 1: was like, the craziest thing was he doing it with
- 18:03Speaker 1: Diddy Artis. I was like, oh, man. Yeah, no, we don't.
- 18:06Speaker 1: We don't like that. You know what's funny about that?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Like I said, imitation is the highest form of flattery,
- 18:11Speaker 1: for real. Like, it would be an honor if I
- 18:13Speaker 1: pass away Somebody comes out with a new platform, the
- 18:17Speaker 1: school break or something like that. No, I'm coming back
- 18:21Speaker 1: and haunting them like, damn, no, can't steal my flow
- 18:23Speaker 1: like that. So don't you? Also, there's an interesting two
- 18:28Speaker 1: interesting topics I have for our number two. It's something
- 18:32Speaker 1: I mentioned weeks before that we'll revisit. And then the
- 18:35Speaker 1: other thing. We talk about Family Matters. We talk about
- 18:38Speaker 1: Urkel all the time. Shout out the actor of Urkel,
- 18:41Speaker 1: Steve Urkel, Jaleel White. Very interesting take about how the
- 18:47Speaker 1: 90s were the last distinct decade and that the decades following,
- 18:53Speaker 1: including the one we're in now, don't really have a distinct,
- 18:56Speaker 1: unique feel. I agree. You agree? When we get to
- 19:00Speaker 1: that subject, I got some takes.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I agree.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And I disagree at the same time. You agree or disagree?
- 19:08Speaker 6: I agree and disagree.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 19:10Speaker 2: We'll have a vivid discussion.
- 19:14Speaker 1: A nuanced conversation as the recess bell always does. I
- 19:17Speaker 1: don't know.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I feel like I just need some wine. We just
- 19:22Speaker 2: have a sophisticated conversation. We just started using big words.
- 19:26Speaker 1: But unfortunately, this is a college campus. We cannot ingest
- 19:31Speaker 1: alcohol by any means. Obviously, no.
- 19:34Speaker 6: Drink.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Drop safe. Absolutely. Click it or tick it. Drive sober
- 19:44Speaker 1: or get pulled over.
- 19:47Speaker 6: I didn't know you guys were poets.
- 19:51Speaker 1: First off, you know, I'm a poet. You know, I
- 19:53Speaker 1: talk neat. Like, you know, I've been talking neat like
- 19:55Speaker 1: a geek. We've been working together for how long?
- 19:59Speaker 2: I'm mad that that bit just was able to get.
- 20:02Speaker 1: That bit off for like a second. That's what the
- 20:04Speaker 1: recess bell does, man. Speaking of the recess bell on air,
- 20:08Speaker 1: we'll be back after this music medley. Here on the
- 20:13Speaker 1: voice of Nassau Community College, 90.3 WHPC. Back in a bit.
- 20:28Speaker 7: On the highway and I'm thinkin' that I love her
- 20:32Speaker 7: On the highway and I'm thinkin' there.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Ain't no rubber On the highway with my significant lover
- 20:37Speaker 1: On the highway and I'm thinkin' that I.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Love her.
- 20:58Speaker 4: On the highway and i'm thinking that i love her
- 21:00Speaker 4: you've been.
- 21:02Speaker 7: Running in the summer you got a brand new mama we.
- 21:05Speaker 8: Laugh all day like dumber and dumber i'm about.
- 21:09Speaker 9: To shoot my shot she loving my jumper.
- 21:12Speaker 2: My favorite outfit is her see-through grumper.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Ring-a-ding-ding.
- 21:25Speaker 3: It's time to kick back, relax, and let the recess
- 21:28Speaker 3: bell set you free.
- 21:29Speaker 2: 190.3 WHPC.
- 22:02Speaker 4: You better tell me your name, baby.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 22:58Speaker 5: This is your spot for creativity, spontaneity, positivity, and hyperactivity.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Why can't you just sit still for one second?
- 23:05Speaker 2: This show got me hyped the.
- 23:06Speaker 3: F * * * up.
- 23:07Speaker 1: The Recess Bell, on air on 90.3 WHPC. Here I lay.
- 23:12Speaker 4: All alone Tossing, turning, longing for some of your love

- 24:30Speaker 1: The Recess Bell, where creativity reigns. Free your mind right
- 24:34Speaker 1: here on 90.3 WHPC. My whole life is the Knicks.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Everything I did is for the Knicks. I was there
- 24:41Speaker 1: when we had nothing.
- 24:43Speaker 9: Nothing.
- 24:43Speaker 1: What do y'all have now? And we got Jalen Bronson.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Jalen, Jalen, Jalen Bronson. Jalen, Jalen, Jalen Bronson.
- 24:55Speaker 10: Most importantly, I just want to be myself, not a
- 24:57Speaker 10: savior in any way, shape, or form. I just want
- 25:00Speaker 10: to be able to contribute to a team, and I
- 25:02Speaker 10: try to help this team win games. Everywhere I've gone
- 25:04Speaker 10: since high school has started for me, it's always been,
- 25:07Speaker 10: Jalen Brunson's good, but, like, it's always that but. Like,
- 25:10Speaker 10: they're going to say something negative about it, and I've always,
- 25:13Speaker 10: whatever I've done, you hear that in the first couple years,
- 25:16Speaker 10: and all of a sudden it's like, Jalen's this, he's great,
- 25:17Speaker 10: he does this and this. Then going to college, same thing,
- 25:20Speaker 10: Jalen's good, but. this and this and this.
- 25:22Speaker 1: When they said butt, what was the butt about?
- 25:26Speaker 10: It was too slow, not athletic enough, too small, all
- 25:32Speaker 10: those things that don't measure heart.
- 25:34Speaker 1: And that's what I have.
- 25:36Speaker 4: And... Brunson!
- 25:41Speaker 1: Defensively, eight seconds. Brunson stops at a dime.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Marches.
- 25:45Speaker 10: Oh, yeah!
- 25:46Speaker 2: Brunson, wow.
- 25:47Speaker 3: What a fake and what a finish.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Brunson running away.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Whoa!
- 25:52Speaker 8: Went beyond Brunson, the two stars, Brunson off the bounce,
- 25:55Speaker 8: gets inside, leans in, right hand and he backs it home! Brunson,
- 26:00Speaker 8: on the drive, spins, underneath, puts it up, puts it in!
- 26:05Speaker 8: Brunson the fake, falling away, puts it up, it's good!
- 26:09Speaker 8: Brunson on the drive, stops, falling away, it's up.
- 26:12Speaker 1: It's good! Brunson, step back three, bang! Brunson, three-pointer, puts
- 26:18Speaker 1: it in! Captain Clutch has come alive.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Incredible.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Incredible again with another 30-point-plus performance.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Pulls up. Jump shot.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Got it.
- 26:29Speaker 8: Jalen Brunson born to play basketball.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It's a four-point lead. Brunson would win the on-in. Drives.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Pulls back. Fires up a three.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Clutch it in. One-point game.
- 26:44Speaker 1: This building is shaking right now.
- 26:47Speaker 8: Brunson, stutter dribble, drives inside, goes up, floaters up.
- 26:51Speaker 9: It's good.
- 26:52Speaker 3: The Knicks take.
- 26:53Speaker 2: The lead with 122 remaining.
- 26:55Speaker 1: It's over.
- 26:56Speaker 3: It's over.
- 26:57Speaker 8: Knick fans, this is not a dream.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Your long, long wait has ended. Go ahead and cry
- 27:04Speaker 1: after 53 years.
- 27:05Speaker 8: The Knicks are finally NBA champions once again.
- 27:12Speaker 1: The 2026 NBA Finals MVP is the captain, Jalen Brunson.
- 27:39Speaker 10: I'm not a savior in any way, shape, or form.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Oh, Jalen, where do I begin? On Monday, the first
- 27:57Speaker 1: annual national holiday dropped. Jalen Brunson's 30th birthday. Everybody give
- 28:02Speaker 1: it up for Jalen Brunson, man.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Man.
- 28:06Speaker 1: The savior. You know, a wise man once said, saviors
- 28:15Speaker 1: never just come out and say that they're saviors. This
- 28:19Speaker 1: man said he just wanted to contribute to the team. Yeah, yeah.
- 28:25Speaker 1: He contributed to the team. Captain Clutch led the Knicks,
- 28:29Speaker 1: of course, to their first NBA championship. In 53 years
- 28:34Speaker 1: this past summer. You know what's the craziest thing?
- 28:37Speaker 2: Yes. Because I don't know if this is me, but
- 28:40Speaker 2: does it feel like the summer went by pretty quick?
- 28:45Speaker 1: It did. Yeah.
- 28:46Speaker 2: And I feel like the first time New York was
- 28:48Speaker 2: able to really celebrate, it felt like it was going
- 28:49Speaker 2: to be a New York summer.
- 28:50Speaker 1: It was for the most part.
- 28:51Speaker 2: It was.
- 28:52Speaker 1: But it felt like it went by real quick.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And when you said that Jalen Brunson bought the New
- 28:57Speaker 2: York Knicks championship, I don't know why.
- 29:00Speaker 1: It just hit me again. Where are the chips?
- 29:05Speaker 2: You know how something that you never thought you would
- 29:08Speaker 2: see in your lifetime happens, and it's just like every
- 29:10Speaker 2: time somebody says it, it's like, that really happened.
- 29:13Speaker 1: We're not in a dream. You know, I was just
- 29:14Speaker 1: having a conversation the other day. Again, like I said,
- 29:17Speaker 1: you know, Knicks fan out the womb myself. It won't
- 29:20Speaker 1: really hit me until they lift that banner up and
- 29:25Speaker 1: everyone gets their rings and Oh, man, that's when it's
- 29:29Speaker 1: really going.
- 29:30Speaker 2: To hit like, damn, they really did it. I wish
- 29:32Speaker 2: I had the money to go to ring night. I
- 29:34Speaker 2: might just, you know what? We might just have to
- 29:39Speaker 2: find a way to get to ring night. I'm doing
- 29:41Speaker 2: what I got to do. I'll get on my Dijon
- 29:44Speaker 2: love if I got to.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I'm going to be in there.
- 29:47Speaker 8: Trust.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Wait, you can't because you don't want to perpetrate the stereotype.
- 29:51Speaker 2: I don't.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Perpetuate the stereotype as Nigerian.
- 29:53Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 29:53Speaker 1: You're right about that. I don't. Speaking of Nigerians, OG Ananobi.
- 30:04Speaker 1: We ain't forget about you, champ.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Also, again, Jalen Brunson, happy 30th birthday to my captain,
- 30:15Speaker 1: Captain Clutch, King of New York, my lawyer, my doctor,
- 30:21Speaker 1: my dad. Yeah, that's my guy, man. Happy birthday. Did
- 30:27Speaker 1: you see the.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Jordan Woods' vacation video of them going to Africa. Yeah,
- 30:33Speaker 1: they went on a safari.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Yo, why everybody saying, yo, Cat look like he ready
- 30:39Speaker 2: to play the three. Like, he lost mad weight.
- 30:41Speaker 1: He did. Yeah. I'm actually very happy to see that
- 30:45Speaker 1: because he's got very natural strength as a Dominican man, right?
- 30:50Speaker 1: That's never going to leave. So slim down a little bit.
- 30:52Speaker 1: You don't want to be like, you know, losers like
- 30:54Speaker 1: Joel Embiid. Like, that'd be just hauling around a bunch
- 30:59Speaker 1: of fat all over the court, slobby and lazy. You
- 31:02Speaker 1: don't want to be like that. Am I wrong for
- 31:04Speaker 1: saying it?
- 31:04Speaker 10: No.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Am I wrong for saying it? Hey, brother, you need
- 31:06Speaker 1: to get in that kitchen and you need to gain
- 31:08Speaker 1: that back. Nah, nah. Nah, nah.
- 31:11Speaker 2: It may look a little sloppy, but, Paul, but, yo,
- 31:16Speaker 2: him being big like that, it goes perfect with his game.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Like, that's how he was able to bully Wimby. It was.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right.
- 31:23Speaker 1: But maybe, you know, maybe he just got the... He
- 31:25Speaker 1: just got the advantage on Wemby. Maybe he doesn't even
- 31:27Speaker 1: have to out-muscle him. He can just out-quick him. I
- 31:29Speaker 1: ain't going to front, though.
- 31:31Speaker 2: If this has any effect on his game, I'm like,
- 31:34Speaker 2: we're going to have to put you on that Brandon
- 31:36Speaker 2: Ingram diet plan where they were just feeding him.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Stop putting that negativity out there, man. The Knicks are champions.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Philadelphia is food on opening night. And that's all I know.
- 31:47Speaker 1: That's all I care about. Everything else will figure itself out.
- 31:51Speaker 1: If the Knicks have earned anything, it's the benefit of
- 31:53Speaker 1: the doubt. You know what I mean? Everyone was doubting
- 31:57Speaker 1: them this past year. Oh, third seed down 2-1 to Atlanta.
- 32:00Speaker 1: And then they put belt to cheekage on everybody that
- 32:04Speaker 1: came in front of them after that point. So I'm
- 32:07Speaker 1: not worried. I can't wait, man. Mid-October. Again, only a
- 32:11Speaker 1: month and a half away. Summer. And I had this
- 32:14Speaker 1: discussion as we transitioned into the rest of our number
- 32:17Speaker 1: one on the recess bell on air. Voice of Nassau
- 32:19Speaker 1: Community College 90.3 WHBC. By the way. As we transition,
- 32:24Speaker 1: we were saying we kept saying on repeat or we
- 32:27Speaker 1: keep saying on repeat the end of summer. And this
- 32:31Speaker 1: is actually a heated discussion between people that actually are
- 32:33Speaker 1: still in college and people that are like 30 years old,
- 32:37Speaker 1: like Corey and myself in a year and Jalen Brunson. Oh,
- 32:42Speaker 1: it's an it's an honor and a privilege to be
- 32:43Speaker 1: in the same. Life stage is Jalen Brunson, Corey.
- 32:46Speaker 2: I felt like Kevin Hart when he said, damn. Oh.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Hey, guys like Corey at 30, I'm like, oh. I
- 32:56Speaker 1: don't know why I just stung a little bit.
- 33:00Speaker 2: And then the subtle, I'll turn that into yeah, too,
- 33:02Speaker 2: but right now, I'm still good over here.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I'm nothing if not accurate. But I'm just saying, like,
- 33:09Speaker 1: it's a heated discussion between people that are like, Oh, September,
- 33:13Speaker 1: school starting, people going back to school. Summer's over, right?
- 33:16Speaker 1: But then you got these damn millennials arguing with me saying, oh,
- 33:23Speaker 1: summer isn't over. Summer ends on September 21st. And I'm
- 33:27Speaker 1: just like, shut.
- 33:30Speaker 10: Up.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Damn, everybody knows the unofficial end of summer is September.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Who don't know that? I don't care how long you've
- 33:37Speaker 1: been out of school. I got to defend my millennials.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Go ahead. It's still ridiculous.
- 33:44Speaker 2: To me, this is my personal opinion. Summer is over
- 33:48Speaker 2: when it starts getting a little cold. When I can't
- 33:52Speaker 2: wear my shorts no more, that's when summer is over
- 33:55Speaker 2: for me.
- 33:55Speaker 1: You're not on your white boy-ish? You don't wear shorts
- 33:59Speaker 1: during the winter? No, I do not. I do not.
- 34:01Speaker 1: When it's cold, that's a no-go. I'm sorry.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Anybody who do that, my brother does that. And he's
- 34:07Speaker 2: like going to the gym healthy, guys.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm good. I'm good. I don't do that.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I don't do that. When it's cold, the legs go
- 34:16Speaker 2: up until summertime.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot of that in
- 34:18Speaker 1: Williamsburg this winter. Like, why do you have shorts on?
- 34:22Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 34:24Speaker 1: It's not that cold, bro. What are you on, dude?
- 34:31Speaker 1: I promise you, it's not that cold, bro. Yeah. I'm like,
- 34:34Speaker 1: the slightest breeze, I'm like, ah, it's hoody. It's hoody weather. Yeah, man.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But yeah, my entire point is this. Everyone knows the unofficial.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I don't care what the calendar says. Everyone knows the
- 34:46Speaker 1: unofficial end of summer is the start of September. Everybody
- 34:50Speaker 1: knows that.
- 34:51Speaker 2: I do want to share a funny story that happened
- 34:52Speaker 2: to me in San Antonio, right? Yeah, go ahead. It's
- 34:56Speaker 2: about 102, 103 degrees, right? Maybe a little more, right? Like,
- 35:00Speaker 2: you know what would be a good thing to do?
- 35:02Speaker 2: Go to the pool.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Go to the local pool, right? Try to, you know.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I get there, it's closed. I said, why is it closed?
- 35:09Speaker 1: It says, you know, seasonal.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I'm like, why do y'all have seasonal pools if it's
- 35:15Speaker 2: 102 degrees out there?
- 35:17Speaker 7: Why is it closed during the hottest, like, day? 102
- 35:21Speaker 7: is crazy.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Y'all temperature don't go down until, like, close to December.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Y'all shouldn't even be having closed pools.
- 35:30Speaker 2: And that just brings me, like, when you said it's
- 35:32Speaker 2: unofficial in the summer, I'm like, y'all summer don't go
- 35:36Speaker 2: in until the weather drops down to 70.
- 35:41Speaker 1: 70 is winter for y'all. That is outrageous. How are
- 35:45Speaker 1: you going to tell me in August? Because you went
- 35:47Speaker 1: in August, right? Yeah. That's outrageous.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Seasonal.
- 35:51Speaker 2: I'm just like, I understand that happening in New York because,
- 35:54Speaker 2: you know, the kids go back to school and everything
- 35:57Speaker 2: like that. And, you know, it started getting a little colder.
- 36:00Speaker 2: But you, it felt like Braun when he was talking
- 36:02Speaker 2: to Alex Caruso. He said, you can't say that. You
- 36:06Speaker 2: can't say that. Texas, you can't say seasonal pools.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry. No, I have to agree with you. We
- 36:12Speaker 1: don't agree on a lot, but I do agree with
- 36:14Speaker 1: you there. That's actually insane.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Going to Texas, Texas is probably one place where I
- 36:19Speaker 2: could probably wear shorts all year long.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Texas and L.A. This reminds me, a wise man by
- 36:25Speaker 1: the name of SpongeBob SquarePants once said, what's your name, stupid? No,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I'm Texas. What's the difference? They're just doing dumb stuff
- 36:38Speaker 1: over there, bro. That's why they asked us to get
- 36:41Speaker 1: an NBA championship this year. San Antonio. Was that a
- 36:45Speaker 1: shot at Sandy? Yeah, they was clowning out Sandy. They
- 36:48Speaker 1: thought Sandy being from Texas was a big joke.
- 36:51Speaker 2: And then when Sandy take him into her house and
- 36:54Speaker 2: she deprive him of water, it's a problem.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
- 37:00Speaker 6: She also put her one-two fist up. with them too
- 37:04Speaker 6: that one episode.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Oh she was whooping their ass oh god where.
- 37:07Speaker 6: She turned into the Hulk Hogan.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Yo yeah oh when she was hibernating yes yeah I
- 37:16Speaker 2: was like who is that it was like they didn't
- 37:19Speaker 2: know if that was it and how she was asleep
- 37:21Speaker 2: when she was like snoring and like the cover the
- 37:24Speaker 2: sheet would just fly up You.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Know, I feel Sandy, though. People be playing with your
- 37:29Speaker 1: head talk. You got to let them know real quick.
- 37:31Speaker 1: You got to let them know, y'all. Come on.
- 37:33Speaker 6: Which one of y'all is Dirty Dean?
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yo, shout out Spongebob. You know, shout out San Antonio.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Quietest place on the earth. I ain't going to hold you.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I might got to pull a you out there one day.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I might got to pull a Josh. You know, I
- 37:50Speaker 1: wouldn't be opposed. I mean, you know I'm wearing my
- 37:52Speaker 1: Knicks gear the entire time I'm there. So you know that. Yo,
- 37:55Speaker 1: I can hold.
- 37:58Speaker 2: You. You ever see that meme of the dude that's
- 37:59Speaker 2: on a gift of the dude on an airplane and
- 38:02Speaker 2: he's wearing like a very conservative shirt and he's just
- 38:04Speaker 2: looking up as people walk in the airplane and just
- 38:06Speaker 2: looking to see if anybody's going to interact with him?
- 38:09Speaker 2: I was going to dead with my Knicks jersey out there.
- 38:12Speaker 1: But I was like, I don't know. That's all I've
- 38:15Speaker 1: been doing all summer. Every city I'm in, I'm wearing
- 38:17Speaker 1: Knicks gear.
- 38:19Speaker 2: They allowed to carry guns out there. So I'm like, eh.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I ain't going to front door. I was about, I
- 38:25Speaker 2: seen somebody with a Knicks hat on. I was about
- 38:27Speaker 2: to be like, I was about to be like, Knicks
- 38:29Speaker 2: and five. I was about to be like, you know,
- 38:32Speaker 2: that solidified, you know, just be like, hey brother, Knicks
- 38:36Speaker 2: and five.
- 38:37Speaker 1: But I was like, nah, I was like, nah.
- 38:39Speaker 2: But, yeah, I might move out there for a year.
- 38:44Speaker 1: See what it's like for you out there. You're still
- 38:47Speaker 1: going to be on TRB payroll, whatever you say. You know,
- 38:51Speaker 1: we do it from a remote location. Exactly.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Everybody's doing it nowadays. When I see them prices of
- 38:57Speaker 2: how much them apartments is out there, I say, let
- 39:00Speaker 2: me get one of those.
- 39:02Speaker 1: That's how you do. Listen, once I nail down a
- 39:05Speaker 1: remote job, man, you might see me in, like, Well,
- 39:07Speaker 1: I'm never going to Atlanta. What's wrong with Atlanta? What's
- 39:11Speaker 1: wrong with Atlanta? What's wrong with Atlanta?
- 39:13Speaker 6: That's DL City.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I'll be a little uncomfortable down there in Atlanta, bro.
- 39:20Speaker 1: But I hear they have great wings at their adult establishment.
- 39:25Speaker 1: So maybe I'll think about it.
- 39:26Speaker 2: You wouldn't know the good thing is i had i
- 39:29Speaker 2: was in atlanta for at least like 30 minutes i
- 39:32Speaker 2: was in no no no no not less.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Than 30 minutes just hanging around no like.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Less like less less than 30 minutes because i had
- 39:39Speaker 2: a layover in atlanta i was like it's not that
- 39:43Speaker 2: bad out here It was just an airport.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's the thing. Cities like Atlanta, you have
- 39:49Speaker 1: to ingest in doses. Once you go past that, it's like, yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 1: I don't really like it out here, bro. I ain't
- 39:55Speaker 1: gonna front. Yo, I don't know why.
- 39:56Speaker 2: I might be a snob or bougie for this, but
- 39:59Speaker 2: while I was looking out the window, right?
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm like, where these hood parts of Atlanta at?
- 40:03Speaker 2: I was looking out the window.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Like, it looks very nice out here. You're going to
- 40:10Speaker 1: F around, wind up in the deep south.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 40:13Speaker 1: If you're not careful.
- 40:14Speaker 2: That's my, that's, yo, I was thinking about one day, like,
- 40:16Speaker 2: say if I move out there to Texas, right, and
- 40:18Speaker 2: I'm driving, you know, a moving truck and just driving
- 40:20Speaker 2: on it, I'm afraid I'm going to get caught in
- 40:22Speaker 2: the sun downtown. I'm just like, nah, I can't do it.
- 40:25Speaker 6: You never want to do that.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Yeah, nah, I'm good on it. Like, where you from?
- 40:29Speaker 1: I'm like, nah, I'm good. Oh, to be black and
- 40:32Speaker 1: navigate America. You know what I mean? But yeah, Corey,
- 40:36Speaker 1: hangover in Atlanta for 30 minutes.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I had two layovers on my trip. I had one
- 40:41Speaker 2: in Atlanta going there and I had one in Minnesota
- 40:45Speaker 2: coming back.
- 40:46Speaker 1: It was weird. It was weird being in those two places.
- 40:50Speaker 1: You know where Atlanta and San Antonio have in common?
- 40:53Speaker 2: What?
- 40:53Speaker 1: They both got that belt to cheek it from the
- 40:55Speaker 1: Knicks in the playoffs.
- 40:56Speaker 10: True.
- 40:57Speaker 1: On God. On God. On God they did. Cleveland too. Cleveland!
- 41:01Speaker 2: One thing I do give respect to Texas about I
- 41:06Speaker 2: like their highways.
- 41:07Speaker 1: They got at least six lanes. I love their highways,
- 41:10Speaker 1: but I hate their drivers. Oh, for sure. Oh, you know,
- 41:13Speaker 1: I have a problem about their drivers. You know, because
- 41:17Speaker 1: you're probably one of them tyrants on the road, too.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I'm not even questioning that. What's a tyrant? What's a
- 41:23Speaker 1: tyrant on the road? A tyrant on the road? You
- 41:25Speaker 1: over there, no turn signal, swerving inside. Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
- 41:29Speaker 2: If anything that you could accuse me of when I'm
- 41:32Speaker 2: driving that I think people might hate, Because I break
- 41:36Speaker 2: a lot. Oh!
- 41:37Speaker 1: That's disgusting.
- 41:38Speaker 6: I hate y'all so much, bro.
- 41:40Speaker 1: We're trying to keep our distance from the car in
- 41:42Speaker 1: front of us.
- 41:42Speaker 6: No, because you have nobody in front of you.
- 41:45Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 41:46Speaker 2: When somebody's in front of me, when somebody's in front
- 41:47Speaker 2: of me, I keep my distance. I keep my two
- 41:50Speaker 2: and a half car distance. I'm not on somebody's bumper
- 41:54Speaker 2: like y'all want people to be.
- 41:55Speaker 1: You know what? We have to address this off air.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:00Speaker 1: You're getting me tight, dog.
- 42:01Speaker 2: No!
- 42:02Speaker 1: That's Is that my fault? I learned how to actually drive. Okay.
- 42:08Speaker 2: We'll talk about this later.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Glad I, mad at me for being proper on the road.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Proper on the road is what you call it. Y'all
- 42:17Speaker 1: sound like, y'all sound like the tyrant speed demon.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Stop breaking.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Let me get by you. I'm a speed demon. I'm
- 42:24Speaker 1: not no tyrant though. I'm a responsible, actual, like aggressive driver.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 42:29Speaker 1: That's how it's in New York. That's how you're supposed
- 42:31Speaker 1: to do it. You really don't have to. You can
- 42:33Speaker 1: be kind on the road. You can be kind to
- 42:35Speaker 1: each other on the road.
- 42:36Speaker 7: No, because you try to be nice, and then, you know,
- 42:38Speaker 7: they take advantage of it. So I'm like, all right,
- 42:40Speaker 7: I got to show you how I am, bro.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yeah, like Sandy Cheeks. You know what's crazy? Yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Since we've been talking, did you see that another scheming
- 42:51Speaker 2: incident happened out there?
- 42:52Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. It's happening everywhere. That's why it's the
- 42:55Speaker 1: theme of the show tonight.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Bill Simmons got caught. potentially illegally betting using his daughter's
- 43:03Speaker 2: boyfriend to place bets for him.
- 43:05Speaker 1: And who snitched on him? I got to agree more
- 43:09Speaker 1: in depth, but that is wild. No, I got the answer.
- 43:11Speaker 1: You do? Himself.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Oh.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Congratulations. He KFED'd himself? Yeah, he was talking about it
- 43:17Speaker 1: on a podcast. Like, oh, you know, I might have
- 43:19Speaker 1: just used my daughter's boyfriend's account to bet. I'm like,
- 43:22Speaker 1: you doofus. Self snitching, man. Hey.
- 43:27Speaker 2: So wait, if Vlad TV got Keefy D locked up, right?
- 43:32Speaker 2: What's the white equivalent of Vlad?
- 43:37Speaker 1: That's a great question.
- 43:38Speaker 2: I kind of know.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Who's getting white people locked up? It's probably somebody on
- 43:43Speaker 1: Fox News. I'll do some research.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Probably.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Vlad TV has got.
- 43:50Speaker 1: His arrest to snitch ratio, got to be impeccable. Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 1: CIA operative for sure. Allegedly. Allegedly.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Allegedly. Allegedly.
- 43:58Speaker 1: For sure, allegedly. Scaming people out of their freedom. Yeah, exactly.
- 44:01Speaker 1: You know, before we get on to hour number two,
- 44:03Speaker 1: there was, like, again, I mentioned we'll get to the
- 44:05Speaker 1: sports report, obviously, in the next hour. Again, TRB on
- 44:08Speaker 1: air on until 8 p.m. But Aaron Donald, multiple-time defensive
- 44:14Speaker 1: player of the year, formerly the best player in the sport.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Going back to the Rams, after the Rams traded for
- 44:20Speaker 1: only the defending defensive player of the year and the
- 44:23Speaker 1: sack king single season in NFL history, Miles Garrett. Another scammer. Yeah,
- 44:29Speaker 1: this is a scam. That's why I'm bringing it up.
- 44:31Speaker 1: You don't even realize what he did, right?
- 44:33Speaker 2: So when he retired, right, they said, when he retired,
- 44:37Speaker 2: they asked him, what would make you come out of retirement?
- 44:39Speaker 2: You know what he said? Man, I love the game, but,
- 44:42Speaker 2: you know, I just hate training camp. I hate training camp.
- 44:46Speaker 1: It's the same hustle Brett Favre used to run all
- 44:48Speaker 1: those years. He said, if I could just skip training camp,
- 44:51Speaker 1: that'd be perfect. What do you know?
- 44:54Speaker 2: I'm hassling them for more money. And then training camp
- 44:57Speaker 2: just ends. Training camp ends. Preseason ends. Guess what? I'm
- 45:00Speaker 2: ready to sign.
- 45:04Speaker 1: It's nasty how it happened. And the Rams are obviously
- 45:06Speaker 1: positioning themselves to be the new evil empire in the NFL, right?
- 45:11Speaker 1: It's interesting, though. Breaking it down... On the field, like,
- 45:14Speaker 1: you can hate it all you want. On the field,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I don't know how. And this is the most overused
- 45:19Speaker 1: phrase in sports. Oh, I don't know how they're going
- 45:21Speaker 1: to defend that when it's, like, the simplest thing ever.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Like the Sixers. Oh, I don't know how we're going
- 45:26Speaker 1: to defend the Sixers. I think they'll figure it out.
- 45:30Speaker 1: But the Rams, I don't know. First off, you cannot
- 45:34Speaker 1: get through a game without double-teaming Aaron Donald or Miles
- 45:39Speaker 1: Garrett on their own. If you want your quarterback to, like,
- 45:42Speaker 1: have two working legs at the end of the game.
- 45:45Speaker 1: So there's a numbers game here. Aaron Donald needs to
- 45:49Speaker 1: be double team. Miles Garrett needs to be double team.
- 45:51Speaker 1: You can only double team one guy. It's four defensive linemen.
- 45:55Speaker 1: It's five offensive linemen. It's literally a numbers glitch. I
- 45:59Speaker 1: don't know how you guard the LA Rams. So it's
- 46:01Speaker 1: going to be real interesting to see if they're going
- 46:03Speaker 1: to back up that hype and win their second Super
- 46:06Speaker 1: Bowl this decade. It's going to be real interesting. Football season,
- 46:10Speaker 1: by the way, next week.
- 46:11Speaker 2: You know who I compare the Rams to?
- 46:14Speaker 1: Yeah. They just the NFL 76ers. They just the NFL. Ah, yo,
- 46:18Speaker 1: you getting the campaign. The hating campaign started early. We
- 46:22Speaker 1: starting that.
- 46:23Speaker 2: We starting that.
- 46:25Speaker 1: We starting that early.
- 46:26Speaker 10: Okay.
- 46:26Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not going to disagree. I just think
- 46:32Speaker 1: it's more of a disadvantage for other teams because When
- 46:35Speaker 1: you go up against the Rams versus the Sixers, I think,
- 46:38Speaker 1: you know, that's going to... I think they're a little overhyped,
- 46:40Speaker 1: but the Rams is literally... Defensively, I don't know how
- 46:44Speaker 1: you attack them, to be honest, because they can just...
- 46:49Speaker 1: It's going to be tough. I guess we got to
- 46:50Speaker 1: play them in week two. The New York football Giants?
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:54Speaker 1: It's crazy how in the NBA.
- 46:56Speaker 2: The Knicks got to play you the 76ers first week,
- 46:59Speaker 2: and then the Giants in week two.
- 47:02Speaker 1: We see what y'all doing. Y'all don't like to see
- 47:04Speaker 1: New York win. Well, I ain't scared. New York's not
- 47:06Speaker 1: running from no smoke. We not. We see what they're doing.
- 47:10Speaker 1: We do see what they're doing, but at the same time,
- 47:13Speaker 1: I doubt Jalen Brunson's losing sleep over LeBron James in Philly. No,
- 47:17Speaker 1: I think he's good. I think he'll be fine. And
- 47:19Speaker 1: Skinny Cat, too. I think they'll be all right. That's
- 47:23Speaker 1: the new name, Skinny Cat? Yeah, Skinny Cat. Yeah, he's
- 47:26Speaker 1: not a fat cat no more.
- 47:32Speaker 2: I don't know what to say to that.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Our number one of the Recess Bell on air is
- 47:42Speaker 1: coming to an end. When we come back, we got
- 47:44Speaker 1: a news report. Going to get deeper into Dajon Love. Pause.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Going to get deeper into Keith D killing Tupac.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Pause.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I'm going to get deeper into all of that. And
- 47:56Speaker 1: by the way, there's a certain case that we've talked
- 47:58Speaker 1: about on this show. You know, that D4VD character. Yo,
- 48:04Speaker 1: his lawyers finally saw what it was.
- 48:06Speaker 4: They was like.
- 48:08Speaker 9: No.
- 48:09Speaker 1: We're not sticking around.
- 48:10Speaker 2: We out. I don't even know if it was that.
- 48:13Speaker 2: I think they said, you trying to scam us?
- 48:15Speaker 1: You broke.
- 48:16Speaker 2: You broke.
- 48:17Speaker 1: You can't pay us. There's some details in there, too.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Either way, they withdrew from the case. Yeah. A lot
- 48:23Speaker 1: to get to in the news report. And then, of course,
- 48:26Speaker 1: the sports reports. The Yankees and Jazz Chisholm Jr. got
- 48:33Speaker 1: more controversy yesterday. It might be some coded language coming
- 48:38Speaker 1: from the Red Sox play-by-play announcers. And everything else. I
- 48:42Speaker 1: got a question. Do you podcast the right way? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:56Speaker 2: You know, some people will probably say, podcast the wrong way.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Some people around the station are probably like, you know what,
- 49:02Speaker 1: that Joshua, he hosts the wrong way. I don't like
- 49:06Speaker 1: the way he handles his business. I ain't go in
- 49:08Speaker 1: front of him.
- 49:09Speaker 2: One thing I can say about Jazz Chisholm, one thing
- 49:11Speaker 2: I will say, you know, him and his ex-fiance, man,
- 49:14Speaker 2: that is weird.
- 49:15Speaker 1: That is a weird relationship. He's got a lot he's
- 49:17Speaker 1: an interesting guy Jazz Chisholm you remember when son was
- 49:19Speaker 1: like you know it's cool if she do OnlyFans I'm
- 49:22Speaker 1: gonna make money off it brother that doesn't sound right
- 49:26Speaker 1: oh the cuck chair is in the corner Jazz we'll
- 49:30Speaker 1: get to that and more other side of the break
- 49:32Speaker 1: see you next hour kind of or in like seven
- 49:35Speaker 1: minutes the recess bell on air here on the voice
- 49:37Speaker 1: of nassau community college 90.3 whpc so.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Days in the sun and nights in.
- 50:04Speaker 9: The rain Summer is over, simple as that.
- 50:23Speaker 3: I already told you I don't feel the same I
- 50:36Speaker 3: don't feel.
- 50:37Speaker 9: The same Anywhere I go I can't help but.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Show Don't feel the.
- 50:53Speaker 9: Same Anywhere I go I can't help but know Don't feel.
- 51:03Speaker 3: The same Anywhere I go I can't
- 51:08Speaker 4: Help but know
