Known to early Spanish settlers as Los Vigilantes Oscuros, these tall, featureless silhouettes have haunted the lore of the region for centuries—tall humanoid forms in wide-brimmed hats and flowing cloaks, often clutching a staff, standing motionless on impossible peaks at twilight or dawn.
