- 0:04SPEAKER_00: and wishing gets us nowhere in the marketplace or in life.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Diligence turns vision into results, and Scripture makes it clear.
- 0:16A plan submitted to God's direction will take us further than
- 0:20hustle alone ever could.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Today, our focus is Proverbs 21.5 because it's the 21st day of the month.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Marketplace Proverbs and Coffee with Ernie,

- 1:11SPEAKER_00: pour yourself a cup of coffee,
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: tea,
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: latte,
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: soda,
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: whatever it is you like to enjoy,
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: and let's get started.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Today,
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I am sharing from Chapter 21 of Marketplace Proverbs,
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Volume 2,
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Micro to Macro,
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: The Ripple Effect of Influence.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: I'm going to quote Proverbs 21.5 from two translations.
- 1:37First one from the New King James Version,
- 1:40and then the second one from the Message MSG Version.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Quote,
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: but those of everyone who is hasty surely to poverty.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 21.5 NKJV
- 2:00And then the message version is careful planning puts you ahead
- 2:04in the long run.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Hurry and scurry puts you further behind.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 21.5 from the MSG version.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: You know, planning really isn't optional.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: It's essential.
- 2:19And the difference between abundance and lack often comes down
- 2:25to whether we move
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: with intention or scramble in haste.
- 2:30Miguel de Cervantes once wrote,
- 2:34the man who is prepared has his battle half-fought.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: And in Proverbs 16.3, preparation is both practical and spiritual.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Quote, share your plans with the Lord and you will succeed.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: That's Proverbs 16.3 from the CEV.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: You know, faith in God is never passive.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: We still do the work.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: We still plan.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: But we start by surrendering those plans to God,
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: knowing He,
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: through His Holy Spirit and His other children,
- 3:11can guide us where we need to go or even change our direction
- 3:16entirely for our
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: good.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Jesus pointed out the need for planning and
- 3:23in Luke 14,
- 3:2528,
- 3:25when he said,
- 3:25quote,
- 3:26Suppose one of you wants to build a tower.
- 3:29Wouldn't you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you
- 3:33have enough money
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: to complete it?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: End quote.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Whether you're preparing for a sales call,
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: launching a product,
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: organizing a trade show,
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: or hosting a team meeting,
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Planning is the foundation for excellence.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: And in the marketplace,
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: well-thought-out actions build trust,
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: credibility,
- 3:57and lasting relationships because well-thought-out actions are
- 4:03a way to add
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: significance to others.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Now,
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: if you've read my books,
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: blogs,
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: or former Wednesday's Wisdom emails,
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: you well know that I love acrostics.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: And with this in mind, I created an acrostic for the word plan, P-L-A-N.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: The P, preview.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: What is the product or service?
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And what does it do?
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: L, learn.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: How will the customer use it?
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: And why would they want it?
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: And how will it improve their life or business?
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: And A is assess.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Who needs it and why?
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And N, navigate.
- 4:47What barriers might block customer success and how will you
- 4:52plan to work through them?
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Each step may seem small.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: But done consistently,
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: they create ripple effects,
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: transforming micro moments into macro impact on your customers,
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: your team,
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: and your mission.
- 5:10Today's customer success code,
- 5:12plans built with diligence create abundance.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Plans surrendered to God create impact.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: We have some action points for you.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: The theme is planning with intention.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: The first action point is run every task through the plan acronym.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Preview, learn, assess, and navigate.
- 5:39Whether it's a big project or a single client meeting,
- 5:43give it the same intentionality.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Action point number two.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Pray over every plan.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Don't just set goals.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Invite God into them.
- 5:54Ask for wisdom and direction and clarity and the skill before
- 5:58you ever take the first step.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Action point number three, review and reflect.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: After execution, ask, did this align with God's will?
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Did it honor my values?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Did it serve others with excellence?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Did I lift up souls or cast stones?
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Point number four, action point number four, anticipate the obstacles.
- 6:27Identify possible roadblocks early so you're prepared to handle
- 6:32them without panic.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Action point number five is stay flexible.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Remember, God may adjust your plan mid-course, but
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: See these shifts as divine redirection, not failure.
