Russia pounds Kyiv with missiles and drones after Ukraine's strikes on oil infrastructure
Russia launched one of its largest and deadliest airstrikes on Kyiv , firing 74 missiles (including 24 ballistic missiles) and 496 drones over 11 hours. The Russian Defense Ministry asserted that this massive attack was a direct retaliation for a wave of Ukrainian drone attacks that successfully hit oil refineries and energy infrastructure deep inside Russia
