- 0:00SPEAKER_02: It's like this material world is this great playground.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: And we get to decide who we are, and we get to decide what experiences we're going to have.
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: And we get to decide, I think most importantly, in this crazy place, which the only control we have again is over ourselves.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Really, that's it.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: That's all we got.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: Life can change on a dime.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: It's how we decide to react to the world.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: That is our great, like canvas.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: It is our masterpiece.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: It's how we choose and what value we give to what happens to us.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: This podcast discusses sensitive and sexual topics that may be triggering.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Please understand we are not therapists.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: We are simply sharing from our own journey and experience.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: So this awesome podcast is sponsored by Enlightened Energy Works.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: Would you like to meet your spirit guides or build a deeper connection with them?

- 1:33SPEAKER_02: Welcome to Erotic Spirit, where soul, sexuality, and real life meet.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Besides our conversation, we channel messages from angels and spirit guides and ascended masters and other friends in spirit.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: And it is our intention to create a safe space for embodied spirituality and sexuality together in a way that meets you wherever you're at on your journey.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: And if you're not familiar with channeling, channeling is allowing higher-dimensional beings to use our voices and our bodies to bring through information and to do it with as little of our personal filter as possible.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: And I'm Jenna Lee.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: Oh yes, and I'm Angela Shelby.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: Welcome.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: It's important.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: This is who we are.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: A little bit.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: So today is uh a topic that's close to my heart, and I know that it's been traumatic and continues to be traumatic for many people.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: Um, it's about religion versus sexuality, and how so many times that I should say religion and spirituality are often in, you know, with sexuality.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: And like how how did we get here?
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: How did we get here?
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Because we've you've had experiences where like I met God during sex.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Literally, I left my body, didn't want to come back, and I met God.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: So I know that I know from my experiences and from the experiences of others, and just the more I become tuned in to like my spiritual self and my spirit guides.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Sexuality is just an aspect of life, and it's like any aspect of life, it's what you do with it.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: And honestly, they don't care.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: They do not care.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: It's the intentions that we put behind whatever we do in our life.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: So yeah, how did we get here?
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: Because how did we get here?
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: How did we get here?
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: I I for me, I grew up Catholic, and I grew up like not just Catholic, like Italian Catholic, like going to Catholic private school with little nuns.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Do you have an Italian voice there?
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: A little bit.
- 3:55SPEAKER_02: Little bit.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: I talk with my hands a lot.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Um, but you know, being taught by nuns for like the first nine years of my life, and I loved them, and I loved Jesus, and I was gonna be a nun growing up, you know, and then you know, I fell in love with a boy and I went, damn, this isn't gonna work out.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: I've got to find another way.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: But I was also very precocious with my sexuality, and it started really young.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: And so I've always had these two pieces of myself that I can remember being so in sync when I was young.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: There was no disparity.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: And then as soon as I, you know, hit puberty and started learning your religions talking to me about, well, we're not sure if masturbation is a hell offense or not.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: I remember being a teenager and hearing that and like losing my fucking mind.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: I'm like, how can you not know?
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: This is like important because I'm doing this a lot and I need to know if I'm damned already.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: And but wow, so you know, I had a lot of guilt and a lot of fear, and there were no answers, and there was nobody to talk to.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: And so I had to figure it out on my own.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: And actually, that's when I really started moving away from the church because I'm like, if you don't know, God would know.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: And that's when I was like, church and God are not the same thing.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: You know, religion and God are not the same thing.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: And that started my journey of uh individuation away from organized religion.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Um I love that.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: I I love like you sharing this part with really it's sexual trauma.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Sexual trauma is all kinds of aspects.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: And if anything is impacting you and your sexuality, you know, there were conflicts as an adult.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I know you share with me, I don't know if there's anything you want to share here where you you'd have like conflicts between your sexuality and God and your spirituality because it was indoctrinated so young.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: These are these are literally instilled.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And you have things where I mean, I don't know, I never had religion be really prevalent in my life, but I know people have said sex is a sin, like all of these things outside of marriage, and it's a lot.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: And I know we've talked about this before, we've done an episode on it before, but it it came up again.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: Again, we sit down with spirit and we're like, what are we talking about?
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: And this came up again.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: And what the message that was coming through was it was to show more how it happened.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: And I've sat down, I've actually sat down with Jesus at home and been like, talk to me.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: Like, how did we get here?
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: That was my question.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: Like, what the fuck happened?
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: Like, spirit, sex and spirit go together hand in hand.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like it's about connection, it's about pleasure, it's about bliss.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: So, how did we get to this point where it's not?
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Um, and the information that has come through has been about, it's about power.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: When it comes down to it, it's really about power, and that's how it started.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: Like from the Catholic Church point of view, um there was like it was called the Council of Elvira.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: It happened in Spain back in like 300 and something.
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: Um they said that uh priests were no longer allowed to be married, or they could be married, but they couldn't have sex with their wives and they couldn't have children.
- 7:35SPEAKER_02: And the reasons for it were they were trying to stop sexual abuse um in the priesthood, which wow, we know how that turned out.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: Um, but it was also because they were trying to promote purity, um, because Christ was, you know, supposedly there was no sex in his life and he wasn't made by sex at all.
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: Um but it was also because, and here's the kicker, the church was tired of these priests having children, and then when the priest died, their children were inheriting their land.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: So this was the church's land that the priest was then handing off to their children, and the church was tired of losing land and assets.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: So they made it, they said, You can't sleep with your wife, and you cannot have children.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: And it was to consolidate their power.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: And um, like 700 years later, uh, that really became more prevalent, and that's when the church really like dug in and said, No, this is the way it is.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: You can't be married, you can't have sex, you can't have children.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: And the other part of it was you are not allowed to have interests outside the church in that way.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: They felt it was dividing their priests' interests between like having a family and working for the church.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: They wanted the church to have all of their attention and their devotion.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: So, again, another consolidation of power, another consolidation of material assets.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: So I find it interesting from like a Catholic church, you know, deep Christianity perspective, that they're using this spiritual war against materialism to secure their materialism.
- 9:24unknown: Yeah.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: I'm just like, hmm.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: Getting lost along the way.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: And hey, by the way, you can't have sex with your wife or your your spouse, right?
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And that is control.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: That is it, if I look at really religion and spirituality, love, right?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: If I look at God, universe, all that is love.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: And if there is a aspect of someone trying to control someone else, that's to indoctrinate fear.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: That's to whatever else there, whatever else there is, that's part of it, right?
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: You know, there's so many aspects of it.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: And that's not spiritual, that's not access to God, that's opposite.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: So I when I sat down and I've had conversations, you know, written, channeling conversations um with Jesus, because he's one of my, you know, he's my main man.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: I love him.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: I grew up with him.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: Peeps.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, he's one of he's one of my deep peeps.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: Um, I was asking, like, how you know, how did we get here?
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: What happened?
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: And that was also what he said.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: He was it was the church trying to consolidate their power and get everybody on the same page.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, in their own way, it's like they were trying to unify and again consolidate their powder.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: And I'm not saying for nefarious purposes, um, but it it was all about power and keeping their assets um and getting everybody going in this in the same direction, unifying people.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: The other part that came up in those channelings was that it was moving from an agregarian worship and society of all of these scattered tribes of people.
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: What's aggregarian?
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: Aggregarian is uh agricultural, okay, you know, worshiping the land, having uh spiritual beliefs based on the earth and the cycles of the seasons and around agriculture and hunter-gatherer, that that type into uh one deity and taking it was a way of again getting everybody pointing in the same direction, consolidating power, but it was also about taking away personal power away from people and making God something that was not easily accessible to the everyday man with agrarian societies, everyday life was sacred.
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: And when it came to moving away from everyday life and a lot of spiritual practices, like Eastern mentality that um this is all an illusion, which it is, but it's it's ignoring all of it and bypassing it, and that's the way to spirituality.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Um you know, all that materialism, even that mentality and taking it away to the point of no, it's taking away personal power and making you have to go to somebody else for God, yeah, to to have a go-between.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: So, you know, to go to your priest or go to your monk or to go to your Buddha, you needed a mentor, yeah, which is not true.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: It is not true, it's the opposite of true.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we we have access, you know, we listen, we can talk to God and the universe and whatever your your space and your spirituality practice is, and just do that here, yeah, here and now, and receive the information and not go outside.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: So it's interesting, like the power shifts and dynamic throughout history, and like, hey, this is who you go to, and that this is they're like writing the rules and even rewriting the rules.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: I know that you've talked about that too, like rewriting, yeah, like so.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: There's there's great debate, like um whether like books of the Bible have been kicked out or put in because the Bible is not a single book, actually.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: It's a bunch of all of these books over hundreds of years that had come together into this one holy text.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: And um, I've heard people say like Constantine took out 23 books of the Bible because they just like weren't up to par.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Or the pages, you know, yeah, they they felt they didn't meet the religious standards, and then I have other people say that didn't happen.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but it's all these books that have been translated, you know, hundreds of times in so many different ways, and it's like any other aspect of spirituality, it is a tool, yeah.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: It is not the end all and be all, it is a tool.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: And I find it interesting that these how religion has uh really, you know, uh gone against materialism, which is a part of sexuality.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: It's the earthy, you know, act of sex and creation.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: And it's about as earthy and material as it gets, you know, also as spiritual as it can be, but to have spirituality turn its back on the material world, um, I just find it interesting that in the past, like all these great teachers, like Jesus came from the house of David.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: That's the house of kings.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: He wasn't some poor kid out in the ghetto, he came from the house of kings.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: His dad was a carpenter, which is a lucrative profession, you know.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: Um, and then like Muhammad, Muhammad was like this really successful merchant, he was not like this poor guy.
- 15:17SPEAKER_02: And then you also have Buddha.
- 15:19SPEAKER_02: Buddha was a freaking prince.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: He was a prince when he came into the world.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: He was like 29 when he like left his walls and found out that the crappiness existed in the world.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: And then he went off, and they they go through these extremes.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I've noticed, watching these great spiritual characters.
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: They go from the heights to the depths, they go from great materialism to great asceticism and move in between it.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: And for each and every one of them, it was that journey that brought them home to themselves.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: It was the journey through the material world that brought them home to themselves.
- 16:00SPEAKER_02: It wasn't them throwing it away.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: In fact, all of them did that at one point.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: They all go off into the desert and like forsake everything, but then they always come back.
- 16:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: Um, Buddha was like, even that wasn't the way.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: I tried it, it wasn't it.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: So it's yeah, it it it's it's enjoying and being in this material world and the meaning that we give it.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that is how we each find our nirvana.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: That is how we each find our way home to ourselves.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: I love when, like on my own spiritual awakening, how I realized the value I would attribute externally.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: And so for me in my journey, it was like this was gonna go away, and this was gonna leave, and this was gonna leave.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: And that's when the value starts, or that's when the opportunity to recognize the value within, and then we can do what we want because we can still go back and be like, oh no, no, no, this job, that's my success and my value.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: So it's it's beautiful that you can even see the and throughout time, like they go through some sort some point of recognition of how to see the value within.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yes, I like that.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: I like how you were talking about finding your value in externalized things, and you did for a minute, and then you're like, nope, that's not it.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: But then you're like, no, you can go back.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: It's it's a change of mind.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: It's it's like trying on hats.
- 17:31SPEAKER_02: Do I look good in this?
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: Do I want to keep this?
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: Do I want to keep this mindset?
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: You know, is this how I want to define myself?
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: It's it's like this material world is this great playground.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: And we get to decide who we are, and we get to decide what experiences we're going to have.
- 17:50SPEAKER_02: And we get to decide, I think most importantly, in this crazy place, which the only control we have again is over ourselves.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: Really, that's it.
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: That's all we got.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: Life can change on a dime.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: It's it's how we decide to react to the world.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: That is our great, like canvas.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: It is our masterpiece.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: It's it's how we choose and what value we give to what happens to us.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: I will never forget this.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: It was a documentary about the Holocaust.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: And there was a particular Jewish man survived like Auschwitz.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: Um, but he went on, he got married, he had a family, he had a beautiful life.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: And when he was interviewed later about it, like, what did it mean?
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: You know, what meaning?
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Tell us about what you learned about being in the concentration camp.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: And what he said was it didn't mean anything.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it meant nothing.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: He gave it no meaning, and he just, I was like, that man was an ascended master.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: Like he he's like, it didn't mean anything.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he just let it all go and then just went on and lived his life.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: He just moved through it.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: He's like, Yeah, I'm not gonna give it any more meaning than what it was.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, not give it the power.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, not give it the not give it the power.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: He didn't give it his power or his energy.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: So, what about like religion and sexuality?
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Like, what the fuck happened there?
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: Like what yeah, exactly.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: And so, yeah, that's what this whole long diatribe of mine has been about.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know it's I'm learning.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so that's that's what happened.
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: It's it's the power, it's the power, it is all about the power and can and keeping power, it's all about control.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: So we've talked about before in our previous podcasts about how sexual energy and the energy that's behind sex and sexuality, it's creative energy.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: Yes, it is the energy of like life itself, and it has a soul, it has its own flavor, it has its own consciousness.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: If you sit down with it, I mean it's a piece of God, and so when you uh put people in conflict with themselves, when you put shame into people, because shame is not a natural state.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: Oh, shame is not a natural state, guilt is not a natural state.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: When you do that to people, it gives you a hook, it gives you a hook you put into them, and then you can pull them whatever direction you want.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is a way to control people and it makes them vulnerable to predators.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: So I heard a story about actually, this is multiple stories about this, about uh people, you know, kids doing naked pictures of themselves because they're teenagers and they have phones and they're flirting, and it's a bold, daring, like, you know, salacious thing to do.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Somebody got a hold of these pictures and blackmailers got a hold of them.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: So they blackmailed these poor kids saying, you know, if you don't give us$10,000, we're gonna plaster this picture everywhere.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: And these kids were so mortified that they actually killed themselves.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: Oh man.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: I remember hearing that story and being just mortified.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: And when I thought about it, I was like, the blackmailers didn't kill those kids, their shame killed those kids.
- 21:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:35SPEAKER_02: So this shame is holy, and this making you feel bad about yourself is holy and puts you in a humble state, and this is what God requires of you.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: If people would think about the fact that you teaching your children shame gives a predator access to them, yeah, I hope that reshapes the way people think about that because I'm telling you right now.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: I have never had an ascended master or a spirit guide come through that is touting shame as the way to enlightenment.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: No.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: It's like actually one of the lowest frequencies.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: And it's connected into right, like fear, like you were just talking about.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: I love that you share that story.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: I think that's powerful.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: And if you're listening and you're wondering, are you holding any shame?
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Like are how that creeps out.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Like, do you have any?
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: I have some a couple things I can think of, but do you have any things on like how you can move through that or recognize that this is not your your shame to hold?
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: It's not that frequency is a voice over here.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: What power that may come in for you?
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: So we just had energy coming in.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: Let's let's ask.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: Because I have my I have my stuff, but I just felt that come in.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: So let's see who's coming in.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: So this is Jesus again.
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, hello.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: He's he's he's here today.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: He's here big today.
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: Letting go of shame is as easy as changing your mind about in a situation.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: Letting go of shame is understanding again that you are perfect as you are.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: There's absolutely nothing, nothing in this earthly world that can change your intrinsic value.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: You come into the world perfect, you leave the world perfect, and you leave the world with as much value as you came in with.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: Isn't it glorious?
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: Isn't it beautiful?
- 24:38SPEAKER_02: Do you know any parent that would look at their children's finger painting and call it ugly?
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: Any parent that loves their child that would look at their creation and condemn it?
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: No, of course you don't.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: Of course they wouldn't.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: That is how the creator sees your life.
- 24:59SPEAKER_02: It is perfect as it is.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: It is your creation.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: And nothing that happens here that can that nothing that happens here can devalue you in any way, shape, or form.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: I want to ask.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: Wow, okay, so they're switching out.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: It's Archangel Michael coming through now.
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: We'll see what he has to say.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 25:45SPEAKER_02: So the first words coming through shame is the coward's way out.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: Let's see what he means by that.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: Shame is a coward's way out.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: Shame is an excuse not to step into your power and be who you are.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: Shame is a place to hide, whether you realize it or not.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: I say this with deepest compassion.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: I say it with deepest grace and honoring the soul that you are, but you hide in your shame.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: It's what you were taught, it's what shame is used for because it is a way to control, it is a way to keep you hidden.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: And it is done unconsciously.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: It's not as if the people who care about you most are out to get you.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: It is done in the spirit of trying to make you fit into a broken world.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: It is your parents' way of trying to keep you safe.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: What you need to understand is that this broken world needs you to be who and what you are.
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: It needs you to be bold, it needs you to be unhidden.
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: It is time to unsheath your light and show yourselves.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: So when you're feeling shame, understand it is not a part of who you are.
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: It's something that was handed off to you.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: And it is your choice whether you get to keep it.
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: It's like going to the bottom of the closet and finding the grime on the floor.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: You can either choose to keep it or you can choose to clean it up and throw it away.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: It is simply your choice.
- 27:52SPEAKER_02: It is giving yourself permission to live beyond your shame, to live beyond what has been given to you by others.
- 28:02SPEAKER_02: Understand it is not holy.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: It is not a requirement of perfection of God.
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: It is not necessary to your survival or to your spiritual journey.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: It is just simply a spot on the floor that you can choose to keep or you can choose to let go.
- 28:26SPEAKER_03: Beautiful.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: And I love the shame is where you are hiding, if you know it or not.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: And that should hit home.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: I was like, I was like, okay, uh, that resonates with my like my recognition of the shame that I had with the sexual trauma and abuse that I had and like the the remembrance of those memories and the frequency of shame washing through.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: And I recognized that shame was also in other areas of my life.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: It was in my expression of my business, which was I was hiding.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: I was so I I recognized that, or like even the shame in what I feel happened to me initially, and what I was, I was feeling the shame with that, and hiding parts of me and my sexuality until that relationship changed, until I really moved through those energies.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: And it was purely, I was hiding.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: So I love that was like sitting home there.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: I have those moments still.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: Like I was raised Catholic, shame is but like drilled into my being.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: I have those moments still hit me out of nowhere, and I have to go back and look at my thought process to go, how did I just get here out of nowhere?
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: What was I thinking?
- 30:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:02SPEAKER_02: What trip that actually happened on the way over here?
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: This happened to me driving in.
- 30:07SPEAKER_02: And it was about, I was going from okay, and then that hit, and I went, okay, backtrack.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: And it was about disappointing people, being afraid of disappointing people.
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: And that it was shameful to disappoint people.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: And so it's for me, it's going through and just looking.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: When that shame is triggered, it's like, oh, flag.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: That's like waving the red flag or like the football field where the flag goes up.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: It's like, oh, stop.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: What just happened here?
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: Let's go back and replay.
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: And I mean, from a feeling standpoint, that shame kicks in because disappointment, you don't disappoint people.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: From my tools, my spiritual side, I know better.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: It's like it's not my job to, it's not my job to be things for people.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: It's my job to be myself.
- 30:56SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: Your true self.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: True self.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: So it's it's it's that being that constant gardener.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: That would be my takeaway from this.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: It's that it that shame is a way that when teaching shame, it's a way for predators to get a hold of people.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: It's a hook, it's a way to control people.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: And uh in doing so, we open ourselves up to a whole bunch of nastiness.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: And it's just being that constant gardener in our own thoughts.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: We can keep it or we can get rid of it.
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: And it's as easy as that.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: It's it's choice.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: It is a choice.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love that.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: What's your takeaway?
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I would say, I mean, I learned a lot on religion, and and I know this through just my intuition, but it's uh it's a tool.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: And we all have tools in our tool belt, and not letting any type of, and this goes not just for religion, any moral, like any structures that are just very rigid, and it's like, okay, we're we're only gonna just do this, guys.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: And the power lies within us if we let if we really let ourselves just see a perspective and know that that's not ours, right?
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: So whatever we're taught, we get to decide how we move forward, and it can control us or we can be in our power and really just use different things in our life that we see as tools instead of like the this is the the universal truth.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: Our universal truth is our compass, our intuition, our higher self, our connection to all that is.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that that I tell people, I don't care who you who you're hearing from.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: If it doesn't ring true to you, it's not for you.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: I don't care who's speaking, I don't care if it's me.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's not right for your journey and where you are at in that moment.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: So I like how you're saying it's like nothing is gospel.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: Everything, you give it the I call it the tummy test, discernment.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: Use your discernment.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: I love it.
