- 0:05The Home Run Derby is tonight as baseball enters the All Star
- 0:09break. We will preview both the Derby
- 0:11and Tuesday's All Star game before covering the controversy
- 0:14surrounding sensational rookie Jacob Mizyarowski's inclusion in
- 0:19the All Star Game. After only 5 exceptional starts
- 0:22in the league, sources report the Lakers are freezing out
- 0:25LeBron and transitioning immediately into the Luca era,
- 0:29leaving LeBron in the lurch. Is this the end for LeBron in La
- 0:33La Land? And before we determine who is
- 0:36the king of the Hill and dial it up to 11, we will crack a six
- 0:40pack with Speedy and talk some of the big surprises in the MLB
- 0:43draft on yet another jam packed live Monday night edition of
- 0:49Jabba and the Mouth. The Nets are going to give him a
- 0:52significant. You're going to have a ton of
- 0:55money to spend. Why not putting in one of the
- 0:58top three offensive? Players in the league.
- 1:07We're going to be. Looking at Aaron.
- 1:09Judge and saying that he can't win the big game.
- 1:11Michael Jordan. Said I.

- 3:06Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you just heard Mr. Fishman, he is
- 3:10our executive producer on the board OPS.
- 3:12As you know, Tommy poops. Nick Goody will be with us a
- 3:15little bit later in the show. He's coaching some baseball.
- 3:17It's pouring over there in Florida.
- 3:20And ladies and gentlemen, it yet again, it is pouring here in
- 3:24Long Island. Not too bad right now.
- 3:26But throughout the week from Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and
- 3:30possibly Friday, we're going to have rain.
- 3:32It's been humid, it's been disgusting, it's been sticky.
- 3:35I hate it. And ladies and gentlemen, This
- 3:37is why I could never live in Florida.
- 3:41You've heard it from me, I can never live in Florida.
- 3:44I can't stand the Florida weather.
- 3:47And it's becoming that problem here in New York, as it always
- 3:52does throughout the summer. Jabba, what's going on?
- 3:54How is the weather in the one and only Nebraska?
- 3:59It's fantastic right now. What's fantastic?
- 4:02What is it? 90 degrees 95° and mugging.
- 4:05Disgusting we are at Hold on, let me, let me is the.
- 4:08Corn growing in the the the. See what we got right now?
- 4:12Let me see what we got. You don't even know what the
- 4:14weather is over there. It's like 80.
- 4:16Five. No idea. 85 Oh, we're 95 right
- 4:19now. So it's 85 humidity here in Long
- 4:24Island. It's probably 9293.
- 4:27It's just muggy disgusting outside.
- 4:28You're in the strong. Yeah, the strong.
- 4:30It's just. Yeah, strong friggin island as
- 4:34we all call it over here. I don't know how strong it is,
- 4:37but we all know the wine is good over here.
- 4:38But I, I should be drinking after all the stuff that's
- 4:41happened to me over the last couple of days.
- 4:43But nevertheless, I was at an event last night.
- 4:46Well yesterday enjoyed the the interesting weather on the beach
- 4:51and and got a chance to speak to different people and we might be
- 4:54able to do a live show. Well, no, no athletes, no movie
- 4:58stars, but a couple of owners of big businesses and he liked my
- 5:04little pitch and we might be able to do a live show at.
- 5:08An unbelievable event. Did you give him a business
- 5:10card? Yes, I gave him a business card.
- 5:12I had a little bit of fun conversations with him, told him
- 5:15a little bit about this show. He's my I didn't send it out to
- 5:17him yet. I got to send him the show right
- 5:19now. I didn't get a chance because
- 5:21I've been SO. Fucking busy.
- 5:22I got to do that. I got to do that too.
- 5:23Sorry the media, I haven't done it yet.
- 5:25It's it's been very, very busy for the one and only me and I'm
- 5:29actually sending the show out to him as we speak.
- 5:33So there you go. He's got it now.
- 5:35And I will say this for all the fans out there that have never
- 5:39tuned into this show, well, shame on you.
- 5:41This is a very unique show with a lot of comedy, a lot of sports
- 5:45conversation. We.
- 5:47Do go out and I'm I'm going to tell you I'm going to be
- 5:51probably a little remissed in the first, but Carter's pitching
- 5:55tonight, so I'm I'm going to be watching him.
- 5:59Alright, well, you, you do what you got to do.
- 6:00It's your son and obviously. Hey, do you want to watch watch
- 6:04my son pitch Game changer Hudson Monarchs?
- 6:08Yeah, well, listen, if I could do now I'm multitask on this
- 6:12show, but I don't know if I have.
- 6:14Three screens. I have three screens right now.
- 6:16I can't. Do that.
- 6:17Hosting a show, I don't have that ability.
- 6:19So I, I mean, I can look at my nails and make sure they're
- 6:23clean after taking a shower. I'll pop on the television,
- 6:25watch a little bit of sports, which is really nothing on
- 6:28television. There's no basketball, there's a
- 6:30little bit of baseball. We have the All Star game what
- 6:33we have the home run. Derby.
- 6:34No, we just have the Derby. They're the Derbys tonight, so
- 6:37we'll get a chance to watch the baseball.
- 6:38I I will put it on a little bit in a little bit Speedy, because
- 6:41you don't know how to use this system.
- 6:43You don't know how to use anything.
- 6:44As we all know, Speedy likes to think that he knows how to use
- 6:48things in any. Kind of.
- 6:49But we love, we love Speedy. Well, sometimes there are things
- 6:52that he does that makes me just absolutely annoyed.
- 6:54Well, you have to deal with him more than I.
- 6:56Do well, you don't have to see him.
- 6:58I got to see him every freaking day and then I have my
- 7:00girlfriend crying to me that you know that you see him more than
- 7:03you see me. So I I got to deal with her
- 7:05question. Britney's beautiful shut up.
- 7:08Well, she can be and she could also be very dark.
- 7:11And if anybody that doesn't know who Brittany, well watch out.
- 7:14She could probably if you fall asleep right in front of
- 7:16Brittany and she doesn't like you, she'll cut your head off.
- 7:18She'll either bite your head off or cut your head.
- 7:20Off and feed you to now. I mean, that's, well, not that
- 7:23kind of head. I I mean, she's not Lorena
- 7:25Bobbitt and if she is Lorena Bobbitt, good luck for her.
- 7:28I cuz I'm I'm making sure that I'm wearing a chastity belt or
- 7:32something around. Her.
- 7:33That means your Dick's out on the fucking Rd.
- 7:35Well, I it might be. I mean, you made my sausage.
- 7:39You know, we're trying to keep it PG right now into a little
- 7:42bit later in the show, but yeah. Or rated G.
- 7:45Right now, because the kids are still until you get going until
- 7:48you. Well, I do get going and when I
- 7:50get going, I mean, I don't like I could last a little bit or I
- 7:54could just, you know, it could just come and flatten, you know,
- 7:56do a lot of other things and and annoy a lot of people while I'm
- 7:59doing it. As all over social media, people
- 8:02get washed away with what I have to say on some of these topics.
- 8:05But nevertheless, I'm here to entertain people.
- 8:08I will say something for all the fans out there that like to
- 8:11laugh and like to see crazy things.
- 8:13I saw something very unique today and I have seen a lot of
- 8:19unique things over the years but this one really just had my eyes
- 8:23turning and had everybody else including 25 Middle Country Rd.
- 8:29stopping. I, I don't know where this guy
- 8:31was coming from but he was practically naked and he ran
- 8:34across the street. He looked like he was running
- 8:37from something today. I didn't see a dog, I didn't see
- 8:40anything. It looked like he came out of
- 8:42the shower he was wearing. He was really nothing.
- 8:44He was practically butt, you know butt ass naked running
- 8:48across the street here at 25 in Selden, NY.
- 8:51I don't know what happened to the guy, but I stopped and I was
- 8:54shocked because I was at the light and I see this guy running
- 8:57across the street in the middle of traffic.
- 8:59And you just when you think you haven't seen it all, I've seen
- 9:04it all. I've seen somebody lay on a
- 9:05railroad butt ass naked with his, you know, you know what his
- 9:09nuts hanging out and wondering if a train's going to run him
- 9:12over. This was like a couple of years
- 9:14ago. It, it was crazy because I was
- 9:16just about to finish up what I was doing.
- 9:18I'm seeing this guy run across the street.
- 9:20I mean, he not only stopped traffic, he shocked a lot of
- 9:23people, including the cops that were going after.
- 9:26And you see, I, I don't know what was going on, but somebody
- 9:29was after him. So I don't know.
- 9:31It was very, very weird. But nevertheless, I, I'm a
- 9:34little lost in some of the things that I see here in Long
- 9:36Island, New York. It's a little crazy.
- 9:38Speaking of crazy, the MLB All Star Game festivities begin
- 9:42tonight with the Home Run Derby, which everybody can't wait for.
- 9:46All Star Game is tomorrow. It's your favorite, it's your.
- 9:50Favorite it is. It's the best part of the All
- 9:51Star game. Ronald Lacuna dropped out of the
- 9:54Home Run Derby with a back tightness, which obviously that
- 9:58was your guy Jabba, so they added the one and only Braves
- 10:03Matt Olson to replace him. First baseman Matt Olson in the
- 10:08first round of the of the players will have 3 minutes of
- 10:1240 pitches to hit as many home runs as they can and we'll get a
- 10:17bonus time. It will get bonus time if they
- 10:19don't get. Out.
- 10:21Three times they don't get out. Three times in the second round,
- 10:25players advancing will be receded with where number one
- 10:30will face the number 4 #2 will race #3 to advance the finals.
- 10:35Cal Cal Relay is the betting favorite to follow, followed by
- 10:39O'Neill Cruz, James Wood and Jazz Jism in the biggest long
- 10:45shot to win. Tarika Screwball was named
- 10:48American League Pitch a starting pitcher tomorrow and Paul
- 10:51Skeens, all the guys that I said we're going to be named are
- 10:54named starting pitcher for the American League of National
- 10:56League. Screwball Also asked Max Freed
- 10:59if he wanted to be the star, having pitched for Atlanta for
- 11:03many years. But Freed Reed said that
- 11:06Scrabble deserved to be the starter because he's the best
- 11:09pitcher right now in baseball. The American League has won ten
- 11:12of the last 11 All Star games with the National Leagues only
- 11:17when coming in 2023. Now obviously everybody can't
- 11:21wait until the Home Run Derby. I'm one of those guys that
- 11:23enjoys it. The festivities really the build
- 11:27up of it and then you're getting a chance to see some of the best
- 11:29home run hitters in baseball. It's fun.
- 11:32What I don't like is how they bring it all together and some
- 11:36of these guys now O'Neill Cruz is, is going to be a sensational
- 11:41player as we see him. He's a young player growing as
- 11:44as a Major League player. His body hasn't even be fully
- 11:47grown. And what is he, 2324 years old?
- 11:49He's a kid. James Wood, he's 22 years old.
- 11:51Jazz Chisholm is one of the veterans, veterans in this his
- 11:55Home Run Derby. And obviously Raleigh is a is a
- 11:58guy that is a catching phenomenon who's having a great
- 12:00season. He's going to be the starting
- 12:02catcher for the United States baseball team in the World
- 12:07Baseball Classic in the offseason.
- 12:09So that'll be fun to watch to see this team, the way they're
- 12:11loading this team up. Team USA.
- 12:13We haven't seen a loaded Team USA play in the World Baseball
- 12:17Classic in a very long time. Aaron Judge will be the the
- 12:20captain of Team USA, But I, I want to see guys like Aaron
- 12:24Judge or Giancarlo Stanton, those power hitters.
- 12:27I want to see the best hitters, the best home runner, home run
- 12:30hitters in baseball. Otani show Otani, who's been in
- 12:32the Home Run Derby a couple of years.
- 12:34How about Pete Alonso? Why isn't Pete Alonso back in
- 12:37the Home Run Derby? He's won, I think two or three.
- 12:39So you want to see those guys. You want to see the best home
- 12:43run power hitters in baseball. The problem is, as we've heard
- 12:46over the years, the Home Run Derby of the Home Run Derby
- 12:49hurts the power hitters when they they, they play in the Home
- 12:52Run Derby, they don't hit as many home runs after it because
- 12:55you're putting, obviously you're, you're wearing yourself
- 12:58out, you're putting a lot of power in the Home Run Derby and
- 13:01it scares a lot of coaches. It scares a lot of managers and
- 13:04team execs because they don't want to see these guys in the
- 13:07second-half of the season, you know, die down.
- 13:09I've seen it over the years. It's.
- 13:11Been, but are are we going to say it the same way too?
- 13:13Is exactly like what Juan Soto said.
- 13:15He's like, I'm, I'm losing out on money.
- 13:18Well, again, I don't know how much you make in the Home Run
- 13:21Derby. I what is it $100,000?
- 13:24Did did you not see what it is? No, for the Home Run Derby, I
- 13:28want soda. Wants no.
- 13:29Want Soda wants to play in the All Star game?
- 13:31I'm talking about the Home Run Derby.
- 13:32Why? Not that's just his bonus, but
- 13:34I'm saying those guys that do it it it's 1,000,000 bucks.
- 13:40What to win the Home Run Derby is, is it?
- 13:421,000,000 bucks, second third is 850-7700 450,000 Yeah, like
- 13:50there's he's not wrong. No, he's not wrong.
- 13:55First of all, I I don't think again going back to.
- 13:58One, I don't care if you're making as much money as you are.
- 14:01He's leaving money on the table. Yes, because he technically is.
- 14:05Well, he shouldn't open his mouth.
- 14:07And if he didn't open his mouth and speak the way he spoke over
- 14:10there with the press over the last.
- 14:12Couple of weeks he. Threw himself under the bus.
- 14:15And then obviously you look at the big picture.
- 14:17Juan Soto is a guy that has always been a yappy person.
- 14:21We've we spoke about it last week when he was with the
- 14:23Padres. Even when he was over there with
- 14:25the Nationals, he had his own opinion towards everything.
- 14:28The Nationals couldn't take it anymore.
- 14:30The Padres couldn't take it anymore.
- 14:31The Yankees wanted to keep them. You can't lie about that.
- 14:34And nobody, as the Yankee fans would say, we don't want Juan
- 14:38Soto. I'm sure the Yankee fans
- 14:39wouldn't have been upset if Juan Soto was playing for the New
- 14:42York Yankees. I would say Juan Soto's numbers
- 14:44would be a lot better when it comes to batting average.
- 14:47He's out about. His home runs, he's gotten
- 14:49really hot over the last couple of weeks.
- 14:51Last three weeks he's hit I, I, I don't know the exact numbers,
- 14:54it's got to be over 8. And he, he's, he's been one of
- 14:58the better power hitters over the last three or four weeks.
- 15:00So he, he's a guy that definitely obviously baseball
- 15:04looked, looked at him and said, you know what, we don't want him
- 15:07there. We don't want to deal with his
- 15:08his crap. He is he would have gotten
- 15:11$100,000 from the New York Mets. It would have been a part of his
- 15:14contract if he played in the All Star game.
- 15:16He's he's got many All Star games to appear in.
- 15:19It's not going to be the only one.
- 15:21He's going to have a chance next year.
- 15:22And we have Scott talk. And what was, what is Scott
- 15:24saying over here, Speedy? Looks like he's saying hi from
- 15:27new. Orleans What does he say?
- 15:29What's up my dues? And he likes Buxton tonight.
- 15:31I'm not sure if Scott. I don't know if that's one of
- 15:33the US guys we met at the Super Bowl, but shout out to Scott.
- 15:35Yeah, and, and again, Buxton is a guy that a lot of people like
- 15:39in, in the Home Run Derby, They're a lot of these guys are
- 15:41going to be, they're going to have an opportunity to win the
- 15:44home Home Run Derby. There's no question.
- 15:46I, I got James Wood. I, I think he is the guy I'm
- 15:49rooting for. He's the young phenom, 6 foot 7
- 15:52power hitter, the Aaron Judge body type.
- 15:56I don't know if he's as big as Aaron Judge, but he's got that
- 15:58that type of power that you want to see a young kid have.
- 16:02The Nationals have a good one. They definitely do.
- 16:04They have a couple of good ones. And I think the Nationals in the
- 16:06next couple of years, they brought in it, they're going to
- 16:08be bringing a new GM and a new manager in the offseason.
- 16:11I'm interested to see where they go.
- 16:13Again, this is an organization that's given up a lot of good
- 16:17talent. Trey, remember, when you look at
- 16:20what they had over over the years, I, you could argue this,
- 16:24it was the most talented team when it came to their farm
- 16:26system to the Major League level.
- 16:28I mean, Bryce Harper was on this team at one point you had
- 16:31Stephen Strasburg, Max Scherzer. I mean, Trey Turner was on this
- 16:35team that now Trey Turner and obviously Bryce Harper are
- 16:39playing on the same team with the Phillies.
- 16:40The Phillies are right now playing pretty good baseball.
- 16:43We'll see what they do in the second-half.
- 16:45Again, we're going into this, this Home Run Derby.
- 16:48A lot of questions will not be asked because again, these guys
- 16:52are out there to entertain the fans.
- 16:54We I we want to see as many home runs as we possibly can and
- 16:58people are going to have betting favorites.
- 16:59Obviously we see Raleigh being the guy that's the betting
- 17:03favorite, but nevertheless, I want to see these young guys
- 17:05really show why everybody thinks they're the future of the MLB.
- 17:09But you want to see these young guys it's.
- 17:11What makes their names out? There, yes, right.
- 17:14Yes, I. Also think if, if, if if you say
- 17:17it and we we've had this conversation too.
- 17:21You said this is your favorite. It's the best part of like all
- 17:25the All Star like festivities, right?
- 17:28Yeah, it's the best part of it. Yeah, that is literally this.
- 17:32And but that's the the same thing like the slam dunk contest
- 17:37and what we talked about like you're going to get garage now.
- 17:41It's so yeah, you're right, you're right, you're right.
- 17:44But why wouldn't you want to be one of the best to do it and do
- 17:49it? But I get what you're saying
- 17:52because it's like we've seen dudes that have gone in the All
- 17:57Star game and have basically pooped the bed, right?
- 18:03Because now their swing is I got the Nick Swisher went, Nick
- 18:08Swisher went to the Home Run Derby.
- 18:10He swung and missed at the first pitch, swung and missed.
- 18:14It's different because there's no cage.
- 18:17There's no cage. Also, you get your own guy
- 18:20throwing the ball to you. You have your father, your
- 18:22sister, your cousin and all these guys out there.
- 18:25I remember Robinson Cano was in the home run.
- 18:27Derby had his. Father his dad yeah, so but at
- 18:30this but that's different if if if I'm throwing to Carter way
- 18:36different because he knows what I'm going to do well.
- 18:39Because he it's. Different.
- 18:40He knows you and you're his father.
- 18:42I, I also believe and I, I also believe with the Home Run Derby,
- 18:46you want to see those 500 feet, you know, home runs, the 480
- 18:51feet home runs. You want to see these guys RIP
- 18:53it. That's what you want to see.
- 18:55I don't want to see these short porch home runs.
- 18:57And, and again, this is a ballpark that's very interesting
- 19:00because we talked about Atlanta. Atlanta is a, a pretty big
- 19:03ballpark. It's not a small ballpark.
- 19:05It's one of the ones. And so we got that.
- 19:08That literally is right now going on on ESPN sports book
- 19:14Kyle Raleigh's plus 260 Jazz Chisman's plus 1200 and so you
- 19:22said you had Rook right I've. Had Rooker, Jake also had.
- 19:27Rooker. You had Rooker.
- 19:28Our private show. I had Rooker too and I have one
- 19:29in the finals with him. Another one that has a good like
- 19:32raw swing Java you were talking about.
- 19:33Like the distance wise, he's one of the good distance.
- 19:35Wise you know why you know why you go with the bigger guy is.
- 19:38Who was your favorite home run hitter though?
- 19:41My favorite home run hitter. Yes, and don't give me a Mets
- 19:45guy. Don't give me.
- 19:47No, there's not enough Mets guys that have done enough with home
- 19:49runs in my life. Straw.
- 19:51I love straw. Yeah, and he was abused.
- 19:54That that was that wasn't my lifetime.
- 19:57I mean, obviously we played against a really good one with
- 19:59the Mets and and Ryan Howard with the Phillies.
- 20:01Like he had some 53 home run seasons, which were insane.
- 20:04I mean, the the other guys that I really liked, a lot of them
- 20:07came from the Twins. I also like them growing up to
- 20:08with with more know and Tori Hunter and guys like that.
- 20:12But I wouldn't say those were like the raw ones of the league
- 20:14though at the time, Like it was probably the pools.
- 20:16It was Miguel Cabrera, guys like.
- 20:18That mine was Frank Thomas. None of those guys stuck out,
- 20:21yeah. I only started watching later,
- 20:22like more of the end of his career here with Frank Thomas,
- 20:24but I know he was one of the best ever.
- 20:26I like the guys. I like the stories where you
- 20:28didn't expect those guys to win the Home Run Derby and they come
- 20:31out of nowhere and they win the Home Run Derby.
- 20:33That's, that's the, that's the stuff that you want to see.
- 20:36It's the same thing with the slam dunk contest.
- 20:38I I obviously slam dunk contest hasn't been the same since the
- 20:4190s. The last time fish head Griffy,
- 20:43Fish head Griffy, All right. And that, that's tough.
- 20:47That's tough to take away, but fish is.
- 20:51In love with Griffey. If Griffey was still playing in
- 20:53the league, you know Griffey, I mean, fish would jump on
- 20:57Griffey's Pogo stick. OK, He he has this.
- 20:59Like. He's got this like little.
- 21:01Fetish. Fish come in.
- 21:03Fish come in well. Hold on one second.
- 21:05I I I wasn't even unless. Unless he's doing his insulin
- 21:08right now. I wasn't even telling.
- 21:09Him I will. I will say one thing and why I
- 21:13love Griffey is so I'm a backwards hat guy, always been
- 21:20when we went to Coopers. Because you want to show
- 21:22everybody how bald you are, that's why, right?
- 21:24Is that what it is? Well, that's.
- 21:27Probably there it is. There you go, ladies and
- 21:29gentlemen. That's why he likes the
- 21:31backwards hat because he wants to show how bold he is.
- 21:35Well, he's got a lot of he's got a lot of hair, hair on his
- 21:37chinny chin, chin. But when it comes to the top of
- 21:40his, you know, his melon, he's got no hair whatsoever.
- 21:44And as far as Griffey is concerned, Griffey was a great
- 21:47hitters, great power hitter. We all know what he was and and,
- 21:50and again, he was never proven to do steroids.
- 21:52So everybody has this love fetish for Ken Griffey junior.
- 21:55I also think that what he does as a player off the field now
- 21:59he's taking he's a professional photographer.
- 22:02He's he's out there football games and baseball games and UFC
- 22:06fights, taking professional pictures and selling them.
- 22:09Great for him. Congratulations to Ken Griffey
- 22:11junior. The thing is those are we expect
- 22:14Ken Griffey junior to go out there and win those home run
- 22:17derbies. We expect Frank Thomas to go out
- 22:19there, the big hurt to go out there and hit home runs.
- 22:22You expect guys like Mickey Mantle or Aaron George or John
- 22:26Carlos stand, but the guys like Curtis Granderson.
- 22:30Remember that Curtis Granderson hitting fifty home?
- 22:32Runs. 46. Yeah, so those are those are the
- 22:36guys that really stick out to me that I want to watch.
- 22:38The guys that you don't expect to be Bobby Abreu, Bobby Abreu,
- 22:43Bobby Abreu hit like a million Phillies out of nowhere.
- 22:45Philadelphia. Philly, he hit 51.
- 22:48And he had like a dozen home runs like in the in like the
- 22:50season he was. A great player.
- 22:52He had 18 going into. He had 18 going into.
- 22:55It was. Just wild that the power just
- 22:57came out of nowhere. And he just, he did in Philly.
- 23:01It was impressive. I like Bobby, I like he was.
- 23:04It was really good for the Yankees too, later in his.
- 23:06Career. He was alright.
- 23:08He was, he was. He was a great teammate.
- 23:10Great teammate. Griffin had the greatest swing
- 23:12ever. The greatest left-handed swing
- 23:14I've ever seen as Ken Griffey Junior.
- 23:16I think the greatest swing I've heard was Mickey Mantle.
- 23:18I think he had the greatest swing, No?
- 23:21It wouldn't be. I've never.
- 23:22Seen the Mickey Mantle swing? You know, other than like a
- 23:24couple of. Well, go watch Bryce Harper.
- 23:26Everybody says Bryce Harper's swing is very.
- 23:29Close to I'll take him. I'll take him from the left side
- 23:32for sure. So I'm just saying the Griffey
- 23:34swing was and and like Griffey made the backwards hat very
- 23:37popular. I would, I would argue that
- 23:39Griffey helped. Why?
- 23:40Because he put his backward, he put his hat back.
- 23:43I just don't think people did it before.
- 23:46He robbed his own father of a pop fly.
- 23:50Like how? Cool, is that?
- 23:53He also played on the same team with his father for a little bit
- 23:55too. 100% but how cool is that you?
- 23:59And he was still living at his father's house.
- 24:02Oh well, he robbed the Copper baseball player, I mean.
- 24:05Back in the day, didn't he? Didn't he because were sick?
- 24:07Didn't he get cold up in Seattle when he was like 2021 years old?
- 24:1020 Griffin he was He was 20. He was a kid and, and, and of
- 24:14course he's living at his parents house at 20 years old.
- 24:16I wasn't, I mean, I, I got out of the house at 17/18/19.
- 24:20Yeah, I haven't had a kid yet. I'm 43.
- 24:23So that's a whole nother story. But nevertheless, I, I, I do
- 24:26think obviously. Other than Goody, I'm the only
- 24:29dad on this. Shit on the panel and I will say
- 24:32this for scruple to go to Max Freed and actually go to him and
- 24:35and and ask him if he wants to start in the all.
- 24:37Star game, You agree with that? I, I, I respect Scruple for
- 24:41doing that because he didn't have to, but it shows the
- 24:44respect that he has for Max Freed and who he was as a Braves
- 24:48player and what he did for them the the Atlanta Braves before he
- 24:51went to the the New York Yankees, so.
- 24:53Respect for the game. Yeah, and I, I give screwball a
- 24:56lot of credit. I mean, he's been the best
- 24:58pitcher in baseball for the last 2 1/2.
- 25:00I know the kid. I know what he does.
- 25:02I know how great of a player he is.
- 25:04And I know that the Detroit Tigers at one point last year at
- 25:07the trade deadline wanted to move.
- 25:10Everybody talks about the game that we play and, and
- 25:12pronouncing names. And I could guarantee you guys,
- 25:16if you weren't looking up these names when you're putting out
- 25:18there, you couldn't pronounce their names either.
- 25:20So I was 100. Percent like I'm I'm not doing
- 25:23that game show, but when I get called Joba, it's Jabba.
- 25:28Oh well, it's but no, it's a. No, that's my name.
- 25:31No goba every. Time you do it.
- 25:34Goba. I like that.
- 25:36I like Joba. Scuba.
- 25:38Again, I I think that the fact that Scubal went to time Max
- 25:44Freed and actually he pronounced it right, actually asked him if
- 25:49he wants to start at the Ulster game gives it really shows the
- 25:52respect that he has for the game and really respect for Max
- 25:56Freed, who has had a, who's had a sensational year for the New
- 25:59York Yankees. It's not like he hasn't put out
- 26:01the the numbers that is very deserving to be the starter for
- 26:05the American League. But Scuba's been the better
- 26:08pitcher, especially with a Detroit Tigers is the best team
- 26:11right now as far as records are concerned in baseball and and
- 26:15really has been the best team in the first half of the season all
- 26:18around with the young players that they have, the talent that
- 26:20they have. It's been very well put
- 26:22together. And the last time I've seen this
- 26:24team as good as it is was when Justin Verlander and Scherzer
- 26:28was on the team and Miguel Cabrera.
- 26:30I mean, that team was loaded. And now you have a young, all
- 26:34these young. Phenoms on that team too.
- 26:36Yes, the young phenoms that were on on this roster.
- 26:41Now Detroit has a very good chance to go to the World
- 26:43Series. The American League really is
- 26:45lackluster and, and, and I will see how everything pans out in
- 26:50the second-half of the season. We'll see where the trades go in
- 26:52the next two weeks. Everybody keeps talking about
- 26:55the Home Run Derby, but you got to look at what what some of
- 26:57these teams are doing. And really at the tail end of
- 26:59the first half, the Yankees were up and down.
- 27:02They really have played the worst baseball of of the year in
- 27:05the month of June and they've fallen out.
- 27:07I mean, they've won, I think they've won 14 games in the
- 27:10month of June and, and, and early in the month of month of
- 27:13July. I want to see the Yankees play a
- 27:14little bit better in the second-half.
- 27:16And it all lies on Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone to figure it
- 27:20out. Now, analytics is not going to
- 27:22get the answer and give you the answers to the equation.
- 27:25The Yankees need to show up to, to to the games and play.
- 27:29I don't know what you play. You want to play Powerball.
- 27:31You play Powerball. Hit the ball out of the park.
- 27:33If you're going to play small ball, steal bases and play small
- 27:36ball. Early in the season, the Yankees
- 27:38were doing that. They were playing small ball
- 27:40baseball. It really looked like they were
- 27:42changing the way in the pace of the game.
- 27:44And then all of a sudden they stopped playing that way and
- 27:47they started to rely too much on the pitching.
- 27:49The pitching started to get a little bit, you know, some
- 27:51certain pitchers were coming back.
- 27:52Schmidt came back. He was down, he was back.
- 27:55I I mean, Marcus Strowman has been a of himself in the first
- 27:58half. I whenever he started, he's
- 28:00looked bad. I'll tell you this, I got
- 28:02Rodon's been better. Rodon's had a very good season.
- 28:05This has been Rodon's best season in the first half as a
- 28:08New York Yankee and he had to pick up the slack after Garrett
- 28:11Cole has been out of for the rest.
- 28:14It's been out for the season. It'll be out probably early next
- 28:17season. So you're going to have to get a
- 28:19lot more from Rodon. We'll see what the Yankees do at
- 28:21the trade downline. There are stories that the
- 28:22Yankees will go after a starter pitcher.
- 28:25They're looking at some bullpen help and starter pitcher.
- 28:27They don't think they need any help in the lineup.
- 28:29And, and by the way, Aaron Boone coming out and saying they're
- 28:31the best team in baseball. I think he's he's smoking a
- 28:34little bit. And whatever he's smoking, he
- 28:35needs to share some of it with me because I'm going to need it
- 28:38after the day I had today watching somebody run across of,
- 28:41you know, 25-A, you know, naked and butt ass naked, running from
- 28:45something I didn't see. So he must have been running
- 28:47from a ghost or maybe somebody was going to the bathroom trying
- 28:50to stab him or something. But I, I will say this, I will
- 28:54say this, the All Star game means nothing.
- 28:57It really means nothing anymore. Not anymore.
- 29:00No, a couple of years ago they were actually whoever, whoever
- 29:03wins the Ulster game, the National League, American
- 29:05League, that's the team that has the, that's the those, that's
- 29:07the league that has has the home home field advantage in the
- 29:11World Series. I think obviously when you look
- 29:14at the All Star game now, I, the only thing is, is bragging
- 29:17rights now the American League has dominated the All Star game
- 29:21for the last 12 years. Does the National League want to
- 29:24go out there and, and prove their point?
- 29:26I I don't know, the National League's been better really for
- 29:29the last two seasons. I think they were the better
- 29:31players. They have the better talent when
- 29:33and I think they have obviously the more depth when it comes to
- 29:36the baseball teams. But again, that doesn't sell to
- 29:39anybody when it comes to the players.
- 29:41There's more power in the American League.
- 29:42It's always been that way. And that's what people want to
- 29:45see. And that's why everybody can't,
- 29:46including yours truly, can't wait for the the All Star, not
- 29:49the All Star game, the Home Run Derby because of the power that
- 29:52is in the, you know, in the in the Home Run Derby.
- 29:54I want to see, I will say this, the guy is the guy that I really
- 29:59want to see is Ronald Lacuna, but he is not in the he's not
- 30:02going to be in the Home Run Derby.
- 30:03So that washed away from everything.
- 30:05I don't I don't care about much of any of these guys besides the
- 30:09guy that I picked in James Wood because I haven't got a chance
- 30:12to see this guy all season long. I saw a couple of games, I saw a
- 30:16couple of his home runs there a gigantic.
- 30:19This kid is special. He's a 512 player.
- 30:22IA lot of people compared his skill to Aaron Judge.
- 30:24We'll see what he does in the Home Run Derby.
- 30:26Aaron Judge won the home Derby. If James Wood does this at such
- 30:30an early age, it'd be special. It'd be fun to watch.
- 30:33And the nationals had had have had some power of talent coming
- 30:39out and playing, you know, hitting the Home Run Derby and
- 30:41and going and playing in the All Star game.
- 30:43So this is fun to see speed. Yeah, absolutely.
- 30:45Like you mentioned the Nationals young talent, we've seen it over
- 30:46the years. They developed the power right
- 30:48away, even with not even just Bryce Harper and a lot of those
- 30:50other young guys like James Wood.
- 30:51We've seen it over the years with like middle infielders.
- 30:53Were middle infielders not thought of as like a power
- 30:55position at the time? We had one of them on the show
- 30:57and and Danny Espinoza that was a good power hitter.
- 30:59Ian Desmond, even before Turner was a good power hitter too.
- 31:01And a lot of these guys are younger guys are really being
- 31:04developed. And that's what you're seeing
- 31:05with a lot of these infielders in this Derby too.
- 31:07A common era with O'Neill Cruz, like they're getting developed
- 31:10right away to that level. The Yankees thought they had one
- 31:12with Gleber Torres. He was a good player and
- 31:14obviously now he's in Detroit and doing some great things with
- 31:16another guy. And Javier Baez had a great
- 31:18start to his career as well. So the trajectory is very
- 31:20interesting. What is Pat McAfee doing here?
- 31:22Why is Pat McAfee hosting all this garbage?
- 31:25I mean, no offense to Pat. I love the host of everything.
- 31:28Yeah, he hosts everything. It doesn't.
- 31:30It doesn't make me happier watching Pat McAfee, who knows
- 31:33nothing about baseball, really doesn't.
- 31:35He's a football guy and he's out there hosting.
- 31:38I know he's an ESPN guy. I don't want to see Pat McAfee
- 31:41there, but I want to see a baseball.
- 31:42Guy you you have to say like I can't stand when they because
- 31:46they do have bassin on their show, but why like, why are you
- 31:51getting a guy like that? Like, and I'm not disrespecting
- 31:55Pat by any means, but. I am.
- 31:59I am. And you can, but like, I don't
- 32:02want a dude like that. Like I want somebody that loves
- 32:05baseball, like. That's what he's like.
- 32:07I know. Nothing about baseball.
- 32:09I want I want a guy that is. I want a guy that fucking loves
- 32:13baseball. Bringing in Chipper Jones,
- 32:15bringing in some of these veteran old players.
- 32:17He was. He was the Futures Game Code I.
- 32:20Would have loved to see him give me a baseball player that has
- 32:22personality, an ex baseball player, wonderful personality.
- 32:25You know how they. You're looking at one, yeah.
- 32:28David Ortiz. How about David Ortiz?
- 32:30He's dancing and prancing around.
- 32:31On Well, how about me? You're not a, you're not a
- 32:34hitter, you're a pitcher. I mean, if you want to pitch to
- 32:37one of these guys, I mean, I'm sure a lot of these guys would
- 32:43take your bet on trying to steal from you too.
- 32:45So I, I will say this, the guy that I would have loved to see,
- 32:50I would have loved to see it because of his personality is
- 32:53called Pavano. That's what I would see.
- 32:56If you were to talk about a pitcher who has no personality
- 32:59whatsoever, it would be him. He gets hit by a hot dog Wiener
- 33:03truck, and then he's out for three years, signs a big time
- 33:06contract with the New York Yankees, crying and and dancing
- 33:10and prancing for three years, saying that he wasn't healthy
- 33:12enough. Then he gets on the mound.
- 33:14He can't pitch a lick. He's not the same picture when
- 33:16he came from the Marlins, and it was just an absolute debacle.
- 33:19That's the guy. Or how about this Jacoby
- 33:21Ellsberry? Let's watch him and, you know,
- 33:23host a Home Run Derby. Yeah, Mr. Steroid Creep himself,
- 33:27who's probably doing steroids before he gets it.
- 33:30What do you mean? Did he win the MVP with the
- 33:31Boston Reds like he was up for? He was definitely up for it.
- 33:35Yeah, that crazy year, that's the year.
- 33:36That's the year Verlander won the Triple Crown.
- 33:40What I'm trying what I'm trying to say is I want.
- 33:43That was 2000, 2012. If I'm if I'm going to see
- 33:46somebody host a home run trophy, I want to see a baseball player.
- 33:50I don't want to see Pat, man. I don't want like, I, I love Pat
- 33:53and I love his show. I don't want him on the field.
- 33:58No, tell him. Why don't you reach out to me?
- 34:00You got all the connections. Reach out to Pat I.
- 34:02Do, but at the same time I'll reach out to.
- 34:05Triple H, it's not Pat, it's ESPN.
- 34:08I'll reach out to Triple N that's putting Pat on this show.
- 34:12They put Stephen A on different sports shows because they pay
- 34:15them both tons and tons of money and don't give other.
- 34:18People that are better than. Probably a different fields.
- 34:22Droba is not an athlete. Job If you were to pick any of
- 34:25the All Star players to tackle Pat McAfee, who would it be?
- 34:28It doesn't, no, seriously like that.
- 34:30It's really stupid thing. And it affects guys like us,
- 34:33Sarah, that they're going to just give all the money to two
- 34:35guys and they don't give a damn about these things.
- 34:38We saw Stephen A Smith not even caring about his number one
- 34:40sport in basketball, playing solitaire during the NBA Finals,
- 34:44being caught on camera doing that.
- 34:45Typical. And we know that Pat McAfee
- 34:47couldn't care about anything other than the Pittsburgh
- 34:49Pirates, who were one of the most God awful organizations in
- 34:51baseball. I don't even watch his show, so
- 34:53I didn't even know he's a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
- 34:56He's a he's a Pittsburgh everything fan.
- 34:57Oh, good for him. That's it.
- 34:58So he's a Steeler? Fan, but yeah.
- 35:00But then again, whenever I watch his show, he talks about the
- 35:03calls Sidney Crosby fan and he talks about it.
- 35:05When I when he speaks about the calls, he always says no.
- 35:08It doesn't make sense. If if you're going to if you're
- 35:11going to do this right, if you're going to be on this and
- 35:15fish is 100. Percent fast liquor.
- 35:18It is not who should be there, It's because ESPN.
- 35:25Doo Doo. And they have.
- 35:26And at the end of the day, what game is tomorrow?
- 35:32It's on Fox. I love Lisa Ann.
- 35:37I'd rather Lisa and host it. That's what I would.
- 35:39Like to see you're going to have the on the?
- 35:41Field, you know. Give me, just give me a
- 35:44baseball. Guy, hey, listen.
- 35:45Give me a baseball. A baseball guy, basketball guy,
- 35:49a football guy, and then and then when she's in the.
- 35:52Backroom. She can, you know, set up fly
- 35:56over right now. Well, yeah, well, I get
- 35:59goosebumps every time. Well, I would get goosebumps if
- 36:02I saw Lisa Ann on the field. So wouldn't it?
- 36:04I mean, seriously. I will, I will say in I'm gonna
- 36:08I'm gonna say this in a different realm.
- 36:11Thank you for all the servicemen and women when we get a fly
- 36:15over, we got a chance to be free and do this because of them.
- 36:20Well, thank you so much. Thank you so much.
- 36:23Yes, we, we'd like to thank all, all the people that fight for us
- 36:27every single day, all the soldiers, all the Marines, all
- 36:30the Navy special forces, everybody, Air Force, everybody
- 36:35supporting and protecting us all the time and all.
- 36:39The 4th of July was America's birthday.
- 36:41And I always say, what are you? What are you shaking your head
- 36:43for? What do you say?
- 36:44Because you're literally just talking about porn stars And
- 36:47you're like, hard stop. I love America.
- 36:48Pulled it out of my ass. Yes, wow, Chaba's the one who
- 36:52brought up a saluting and a look at the flyby and I was talking.
- 36:56About I can't salute, I didn't serve, I can't salute.
- 36:59I didn't serve a lot of people don't know the rules on that
- 37:01stuff. First of all, I, I, I brought up
- 37:03Lisanne because I'd rather her host the Home Run Derby than Pat
- 37:07McAfee. At least there's something to
- 37:08look at. I'm I'm watching Pat McAfee
- 37:10stand out there. He doesn't even know half
- 37:13you're. So on the.
- 37:14Basketball field. No, I'm not.
- 37:16I'm telling you the truth. Why would I want to see Pat
- 37:18McAfee on on the baseball field when he doesn't know half these
- 37:21guys? He doesn't know any of these
- 37:23guys. He's reading off a script and it
- 37:25probably ESPN is probably talking in his ear and telling
- 37:29him, oh, this is Odile, this is Wood, this is Chisholm or
- 37:33Chisholm, whatever you want to call him.
- 37:34You know, it's, it's the problem right now in professional sports
- 37:37and media. They put guys out there because
- 37:40the fans want to see it. I I just want to see what I'm
- 37:43dropping. What Nathan just said, no I
- 37:46didn't. Lisa Ann, as long as she's just
- 37:48a dude wipe, you're taking care of my 2 hole, I'm good.
- 37:51That's what Nathan is saying. Nathan.
- 37:54Get her on the show, Nathan. Yeah, well, if Lisa Ann. 100% he
- 37:58can talk as much as he wants. Breaking news Goody has no
- 38:02Woody. By the way, I'm wearing a
- 38:04college jersey I had made of the one and only Nick Goody.
- 38:08You want to see what it says in the back?
- 38:09I'll show everybody what it says in the back.
- 38:10Hello. Good wood, There you go.
- 38:15I got goodies jersey on. Right.
- 38:17Why don't you? Why don't you wear my jersey?
- 38:19I got a jersey made for you, don't worry.
- 38:21It's definitely something that's going to stand out, which is
- 38:23going to piss you off as well. So don't worry, it's coming in
- 38:26the mail. Don't worry.
- 38:28I, I, I, I know how to screw with people and piss people off.
- 38:31And even though I know Goody is going to like it because I got
- 38:33his number and he thinks, oh, it's Goody.
- 38:35No, it's Goodwood. And that's what we know him as.
- 38:38I am a legend. He is a legend and his Jersey's
- 38:41a legend and he'll definitely be worn on the show more than once.
- 38:44But yeah, finishing up with the All Star game.
- 38:47I'm not excited about the All Star game.
- 38:49I could care less about the All Star game.
- 38:51I know fans, baseball fans are looking forward to it because
- 38:54there's nothing to watch on television.
- 38:55And hopefully what would we got a week, week and 1/2 until OTA
- 38:59start. It's it's a couple of weeks
- 39:00away. Yeah, training camp is next week
- 39:02for. Some games so training camp
- 39:03starts. So that's what I want to see.
- 39:06I want to see more of football and and football conversation
- 39:10because that takes away from all the garbage that we're going to
- 39:13watch when it comes to baseball. It doesn't get interesting until
- 39:15the last month and a half of baseball.
- 39:17Who's going to make it? Who's in the wild card spots?
- 39:20What, what team's going to pick up what player and off of
- 39:23waivers, because automatically they become available guys that
- 39:27you, you thought, Oh my God, he's, he's eager to be traded.
- 39:31And then all of a sudden he gets dropped at the waiver line
- 39:33because nobody wants them. Or they, the team that has him
- 39:36doesn't want him anymore and he goes to, he's automatically a
- 39:39free agent And a team out of nowhere like the Dodgers or one
- 39:43of these teams automatically gets these guys and they go on,
- 39:46they go on a run all the way to the World Series.
- 39:48The Dodgers assignment deferral is money.
- 39:50Next year it's. Pathetic.
- 39:51It's absolutely pathetic and that's what I hate when it comes
- 39:54to certain sports is same thing with basketball.
- 39:57I say this about basketball all the time.
- 39:59These what do they call this? We go about.
- 40:02No, no. No trade.
- 40:04When they trade a pick, you trade.
- 40:06All the protected. Picks.
- 40:07Protected or unprotected picks. If you trade a pick depending on
- 40:12the year, there shouldn't be a protected or unprotected pick.
- 40:15But basketball has done it where it screwed a lot of teams,
- 40:18including the New York Knicks. Remember the Kristaps Porzingis
- 40:21trade? The Knicks traded for two first
- 40:23round draft picks. They winded up getting a second
- 40:25round draft pick for Kristaps Porzingis eventually helps the
- 40:28the Boston Celtics win a championship.
- 40:31The as they call them as Kevin Durant, AKA Mr. Twitter feed
- 40:35himself, says the Unicorn. As we all know, I I just it's
- 40:40pathetic. It's absolutely pathetic and it
- 40:42just really it it dry heaps me as as you know.
- 40:46Does that make sense to you, Speedy?
- 40:47Dry heaps? No, that's a That's a
- 40:48terminology that it sounds like would have came out of Nathan's
- 40:51mouth. Wow, I mean Nathan is a pretty
- 40:53sick person. Nathan will dry heaps to lately
- 40:56sad. Brewers young star Jacob is a
- 40:59Rouse. Key was named to the National
- 41:03League All Star team as a replacement and several Philly
- 41:07players were not happy. Several Phillies players called
- 41:11out Major League Baseball for putting him on the team after
- 41:14making just 5 starts, while two of their pitchers, Ranger Suarez
- 41:20and Christopher Sanchez, have pitched all season.
- 41:23Trey Turner said to The Athletic.
- 41:26What a joke. It's a terrible process.
- 41:28JT Realmuto also took shots at the MLP, saying that both
- 41:32Sanchez and Suarez should have been on the roster in the 1st
- 41:36place. Nick Castellanos said that the
- 41:39All Star Our game voting process is turning into a Savannah
- 41:44Bananas game. Sanchez has a 2.5 ERAA, 1.14
- 41:50WHIP and 122 strikeouts in just 19 starts this season.
- 41:55Suarez has a 1.94 ERA, one point O, 5 WHIP and 78 strikeouts in
- 42:0113 starts this season. Miss Orozski has a 2.81 ERAA,
- 42:070.896 WHIP and 30 3 strikeouts and five starts.
- 42:12The only reason why he is going into the All Star game and why
- 42:15they decided to go with him is because he's a superstar.
- 42:18He's becoming a star, he's becoming a name.
- 42:21Everybody wants to see him. This guy has been dominating,
- 42:25stalling over 100 mile per hour. He's throwing 103 mph.
- 42:29So this guy's got a lot of heat. So everybody wants to see that
- 42:32young phenom. We remember Lincoln some this
- 42:35kid had a weird release point. He was small.
- 42:38He he he some people said he was like 5 five 10511.
- 42:41He looked like he was 5 foot 6 and he was on the mound and he
- 42:44he won two side Youngs. He was a sensational pitcher for
- 42:47the Giants and he was a guy that everybody wanted to see in the
- 42:50All Star game. In his first two years.
- 42:53He didn't have the numbers. I don't think he had the numbers
- 42:55in his second year to make the All Star team, but he did.
- 42:59Why? Because he was a young phenom
- 43:01that everybody wanted to see. Never nobody got a chance to
- 43:04really see him that much. Remember, base sports is
- 43:07different now because now you have the MLB Network, you have
- 43:10all these different channels that you can get a chance to see
- 43:12these guys up at the plate and, and, or, or get a chance to see
- 43:16there every at bats. It's not like it was when a guy
- 43:21like that or even half the players that we've spoken about
- 43:24in the past in the 90s, we have mentioned over the years, never
- 43:29really got it. You, you never really got a
- 43:30chance to see them unless they were playing on ESPN for
- 43:33Sunday's baseball, you know, night or, or Fox, Fox Saturday's
- 43:38weekends or something like that. You really never got a chance to
- 43:41see these guys play unless you were living in Philadelphia or
- 43:45living in New York or living in California.
- 43:48So unfortunate. Well, it's fortunate that more
- 43:51more than you ever have. The problem is it's 162 games
- 43:55and it's very dried out. Now as far as the the Trey
- 43:59Turner coming out and saying what a joke, he's absolutely
- 44:02right. He's right.
- 44:03And how's? It how's it dried?
- 44:05Out though, what do you mean baseball 160?
- 44:08Two games in a season and the only, the only people that
- 44:11really give a crap about it is those, those real die hard
- 44:14baseball fans. And if you see what the numbers
- 44:17are right now, it's it's, it's up and down in many different,
- 44:21you know, in, in a process of trying to compare them to
- 44:24football games. Remember football, there's 17
- 44:27games in a season. There's less games.
- 44:29So people watch it more because it's not as many games when you
- 44:32have so many games. A lot of people, especially some
- 44:34of these teams, a lot of these teams are horrible.
- 44:37How many good teams are in baseball right now?
- 44:399/9/10 at most. The rest of the teams are
- 44:43horrible. Nobody cares to see certain
- 44:46teams that are going to play. Does anybody really want to see
- 44:49the Pittsburgh Pirates besides guys like Pat McAfee or when you
- 44:54get a chance to see Paul Skeens? That's the only time anybody
- 44:57wants to watch a Pittsburgh Pirates game.
- 44:59And there's a lot of teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates nobody
- 45:02gives a crap about. Minnesota for years has been a
- 45:04pretty good team. Does anybody care about that
- 45:06roster but you're talking? About a conglomerate you're not
- 45:09talking about like people that actually love the sport.
- 45:12Let me ask you a question. It doesn't.
- 45:14It doesn't matter. Baseball.
- 45:16No, it does. Baseball doesn't matter over the
- 45:18years. You're going to go to the game
- 45:21because you love baseball. Really.
- 45:22Why are the numbers down right now?
- 45:24In baseball, when it comes to going to games, you're gonna
- 45:26you're gonna have your favorite player.
- 45:28Why are the numbers down? Job player?
- 45:29Why? Are the why are the games down?
- 45:31Why are the numbers down right now when it comes to going to
- 45:33watch baseball games? They're still doing over 3.
- 45:36Billion dollars a year. OK, So what?
- 45:38Every single sport. Is doing that.
- 45:39Even hockey's doing that now as as you see, what's getting close
- 45:44to baseball, hockey is. Not even close to.
- 45:45Again, hockey is a. Different sport.
- 45:48It's a Canadian sport. Yes, it is.
- 45:50And you're talking about half of the season of baseball.
- 45:53Again. And that's why 80.
- 45:55Two games of hockey is much more interesting to watch than 162
- 45:58games of baseball, and I I know you're going to stick up for it.
- 46:0181, not 82. I'm sorry.
- 46:03It's 82 games. 82 it's 82 games. They're going to 84.
- 46:08Though you're going to correct me, You're.
- 46:09Going to. Correct.
- 46:10You're going to correct me when it comes to hockey.
- 46:12Are you serious? Hockey and basketball are both
- 46:1482. Hockey is. 82 games.
- 46:16And again, going back to hockey and what we were talking about
- 46:19hockey, hockey might not. They don't make as much money as
- 46:22baseball, not. Yet they don't.
- 46:23Not yet. Because again.
- 46:25It's a Canadian sport. That's not true.
- 46:28It's it's growing right now. They will never make as much.
- 46:32Money as me, maybe, maybe not. But again.
- 46:34Baseball eventually will have a salary cap.
- 46:36It always happens. It won't.
- 46:38OK, it won't. We'll see.
- 46:39It'll happen. Don't you think?
- 46:40That this shows that like baseball feels like they have a
- 46:43problem though, Errol, that they have to put a kid like Miss
- 46:46Zarowski up there in the All Star game because they're trying
- 46:48to sell tickets one O 3. They're trying to sell.
- 46:51They have to. They want to.
- 46:52If baseball was a good in a good place, though, Jabba, they
- 46:54wouldn't have to do shit like this and I think this is a
- 46:57reactionary thing and that's by those guys that's.
- 47:00OK though, that's OK because look at what we already have in
- 47:05the game like. We already have.
- 47:07That in the game and yes. Is it nice?
- 47:11To get a kid like that, 100% do. I think he's deserving of it.
- 47:17No. Like, yes, does he have a great
- 47:21arm and does pitch his tail off? Heck yeah he does.
- 47:26Heck yeah he does. This guy smacking.
- 47:28But does. He deserve it.
- 47:31No, not not over Ranger. Suarez.
- 47:35Who is under 2ER? All Star Game is a fan thing,
- 47:39and if fans want to see this dominant pitcher throwing 103,
- 47:43nobody cares about what Suarez is doing or Sanchez is doing.
- 47:46We want to see the guy that's throwing 103 mph.
- 47:49We want to see the young phenom that everybody keeps trying to
- 47:51compare to Paul Skins. Remember when they had that
- 47:53duel? Duel.
- 47:54I was handy. I was.
- 47:56Hand dog. So so I was hand.
- 47:58Did you play any All Star game? Yes, all right.
- 48:01And. Why did you?
- 48:01Play in the All Star game. Why did you play in the All Star
- 48:03game? Because you're a young phenom
- 48:05throwing the ball of almost out 100 mph.
- 48:08So that's what that people want to see.
- 48:09They don't want to see Suarez throwing these change.
- 48:12I'm not disagreeing and all speed pitches.
- 48:15I don't want to see him. I want to see miss Zaroski.
- 48:17I want to see that guy go out there and and show me how hard
- 48:20he could throw the ball. But are you who is more?
- 48:22Of a control. Pitcher like he's a lot like
- 48:24David Peterson where he has a great ERA, but he gets a lot of
- 48:26ground balls. So maybe he wasn't the flat, but
- 48:28he did under after. 5 fucking. Stars.
- 48:30No, I don't. I don't think so.
- 48:32I'm fully with the. Phillies player saying that
- 48:35because Sanchez has 122 strikeouts.
- 48:37He's been a great pitcher for three years now, and Suarez said
- 48:40was a great pitcher in 2022 when they went to the world.
- 48:42And he's great in the postseason, too.
- 48:44He was phenomenal in the. Postseason when they went to the
- 48:46world. Series he's kind of up and down
- 48:47throughout his career, but he's having a fantastic year.
- 48:49Fish, like you said, 1.94 ERA even though he's not getting the
- 48:52strikeout numbers like yes, they should both be there too.
- 48:55I know Mets fans are complaining about Senga too, but he's hurt
- 48:56right now. So but the both Phillies guys
- 48:59should definitely be in. And Sanchez has 122 strikeouts.
- 49:02That's top ten in baseball right now.
- 49:04Yeah, I have a rule with. I have both of those guys on my
- 49:08radar when I play fantasy 9. Sanchez had Suarez, I've had
- 49:11Suarez. And my rule is I need a guy that
- 49:13strikes out at least a guy per inning.
- 49:16So it's got to be at least a nine point O rating or higher.
- 49:18And Suarez and Sanchez are both in Sanchez's 9.4 something,
- 49:22yeah. Yeah, they're both good.
- 49:24They're both really good and I feel like the Phillies should be
- 49:28represented at the All Star game more than the hapless Brewers.
- 49:32I don't understand why they need to go to Mesorowski here instead
- 49:35of getting one of those Phillies pitchers again.
- 49:37Going to like what's important. Introducing James Wood right
- 49:40now. In the Home Run Derby.
- 49:42Yeah, well. We just finished with James
- 49:45Wood. He had sixteen home runs in the
- 49:46first round. Not bad in Atlanta a big
- 49:49ballpark we'll see how if that is going to last or get him into
- 49:52the second round. I I think it should we'll see
- 49:55that we've seen crazier things. We'll see how good some of these
- 49:59guys are going to be able to hit in in Atlanta ball field.
- 50:02That is really a pitcher's ballpark.
- 50:04It's it's always been that everybody I looked it up Errol
- 50:06it's actually dead dead middle of the pack it's 16th overall
- 50:11they're. Like they're half of the middle,
- 50:13right? I think it was, was it 15 or 16
- 50:16fish? I saw 16.
- 50:17I don't know. I saw it for just lefties or
- 50:19righties or how it plays out depending on which handedness
- 50:22you are. But yeah, it's interesting that
- 50:24I think I think it were in. The beginning, it was like a
- 50:26pretty middle of the pack ballpark.
- 50:28But the last three years has been kind.
- 50:29Of even Yeah. Do you remember was it in
- 50:30Atlanta years? Ago when Sammy Sosa was hitting
- 50:33them like a quarter mile every single time I believe it was it
- 50:38was he was hitting them over 500 feet to dead center.
- 50:40It was just stupid that that might have been my favorite Home
- 50:44Run Derby there ever was when it was all the steroid guys taking
- 50:48all the Yum yums hitting them. So.
- 50:50Far McGuire hitting them, far they all.
- 50:52This is a grumpy old man. They don't.
- 50:54Have they don't make them like that anymore?
- 50:56Errol, they don't have the star-studded ones.
- 50:58You're right. It's not like it used to be.
- 51:00No, unfortunately. And and again, when it comes to
- 51:02baseball, you want to see those guys, you want to see the best
- 51:04stars, you want to see the best players.
- 51:06And Mizarowski is a guy that everybody wants to see.
- 51:09ZRA is right now 2.815 games though.
- 51:12I agree with you on that. It's an All Star game.
- 51:15It's an All Star. Game I want to see I think
- 51:18you're right I. I it to me but.
- 51:20Also like give it. To what is deserving like 5
- 51:24isn't let me ask you a question. Let.
- 51:26Me ask you a question, is Suarez right now is pitching in the
- 51:30World Series? Is he going to worry about a
- 51:32damn All Star game? If Sanchez is pitching in the
- 51:34World Series you think he's worried about an All Star game?
- 51:36Nobody gives a crap. Juan Soda was the one that was
- 51:39bitching and moaning about it. I don't really care.
- 51:41Juan Soda shouldn't be crying about it just because of 100K
- 51:44that he would get from the Mets. That's not the end of the.
- 51:47Money of what they are, No Judy's making 60.
- 51:51Million a year? A guy like Juan Soda.
- 51:53Why is he complaining about 100K in the case and Sanchez Suarez
- 51:57not those two? If you can put $1,000,000.
- 52:00In your pocket, no matter how much money you're making, yes,
- 52:03you're going to do it, but it's a different case when.
- 52:05Sanchez, who's on a rookie contract, and Suarez, I think
- 52:08just got paid, but it's a smaller contract, is not making
- 52:11the team. Meanwhile, on Soto's complaining
- 52:13about a a budget where he gets more per game with the contract
- 52:16that he's making this year. So it's just the way he did it
- 52:18was a little differently. And Turner and Castellanos and
- 52:21all these guys have a case too when you're judging.
- 52:23It's even worse when it's a pitcher because the pitchers are
- 52:26not in the fan vote. The pitchers are.
- 52:28The pitchers are voted on by the managers.
- 52:29And now in the in their case of the uproar by the league and now
- 52:33he's putting them in. Maybe it's Dave Roberts having
- 52:35incentive on this. And Dave Roberts obviously is
- 52:37biased against certain teams. And you're seeing it now with
- 52:40the Phillies too, for whatever reason, like both guys not
- 52:43making the cut. Who cares?
- 52:45Who cares? Why are we crying about this?
- 52:47Everybody cries. Maybe the rule is, maybe the
- 52:49rules are you throw one O 3, you're in the All Star game.
- 52:52Who cares? Good.
- 52:53We'll put Jordan Hicks. I will tell you.
- 52:54This. I remember the 90s Yankees or
- 52:57even 2009 those Yankees, Mark Tishara, Alex Rodriguez, Derek
- 53:02Jeter. That whole infield should have
- 53:03been in the All Star game and the whole outfield should have
- 53:05been in the All Star game for the numbers they were putting
- 53:07up, especially in the first half of the season.
- 53:09But that doesn't happen. Why?
- 53:11Because it's nobody wants to see just the Yankees in the damn
- 53:14World Series except the Yankee fans.
- 53:16So it to me baseball obviously wants their phenoms in the game
- 53:22like watching the gets a chance to see James Wood.
- 53:25I want to see this guy win the Home Run Derby.
- 53:27Why? Because it would be a story I
- 53:29want to see. Stories I don't want to hear the
- 53:31National League wins the the All Star game and guess who wins the
- 53:36MVP? Nobody get if James Wood wins
- 53:39the MVP and hits 2 arm runs in the All Star game.
- 53:41That's the story I want to hear. Stories I want to hear like tall
- 53:45tales, you know, I want to hear about Raggedy Ann.
- 53:48I want to hear about Wizard of Oz kind of crap.
- 53:51I don't want to hear about Oh well, this guy won the MVP.
- 53:55It's just him. Who cares?
- 53:56It's Bryce Harper or it's Aaron Judge.
- 53:58I don't want to hear it. I don't care.
- 54:00I don't care when it's a damn truck, a car or a freaking, you
- 54:03know, Nosebleed freaking. But at the same time.
- 54:06Like when I I agree with what you're saying.
- 54:12But also there's so. Many other guys that are
- 54:15deserving. I'm not saying it's right or
- 54:18wrong. I'm not saying it's right or
- 54:19wrong. I'm I'm not saying anything in
- 54:21this room right? You have 5 starts like I I love
- 54:30the talk of miss but you haven't.
- 54:35Prove it you don't. Like he could be done.
- 54:39Next year. He's got 5 starts.
- 54:44Do we really care that much? Do we really?
- 54:47Care that much for guys making their first all.
- 54:51Star team like you feel bad for them though at the same time for
- 54:54Sanchez who's a young kid too. I think Suarez got there the one
- 54:58year in 22 as an All Star, but Sanchez, that could have been
- 55:01his first two and maybe they just have to expand the rosters,
- 55:03but 100%. But at 5 starts and you're like,
- 55:09I honestly if, if I'm being perfectly honest with you guys.
- 55:16If they asked me to be. In the All Star game, when I was
- 55:20in my first one, in the Futures Game and everything.
- 55:24And if they asked me I would say.
- 55:25No. I would say no, there's somebody
- 55:29more. Deserving.
- 55:30I haven't done enough to earn that right.
- 55:34I haven't done enough. That's why I don't want fans to
- 55:37vote, want players to vote. Because players are going to put
- 55:42you. In what you are in, I don't want
- 55:48to disrespect any of you on this panel but y'all never played the
- 55:53game that means something to us. And if you get chosen by your
- 56:02teammates, I was voted the most underrated player in fucking
- 56:07baseball. I agree with them, by the way.
- 56:09I am a legend. Just kidding, and that's fine.
- 56:14I'm OK with that, but as Pedro, always kidding.
- 56:17I'm kidding. What as Pedro?
- 56:18Always said. Nobody.
- 56:21Boos nobodies. Well, I guess I'm going.
- 56:25To Boo you and I got. I got booed.
- 56:29Well, I was a somebody. Well, you're definitely somebody
- 56:33there's. Definitely, no doubt about that.
- 56:35You are the one and only Droba Droba.
- 56:39Scoop sits on the sitter, as we all know.
- 56:41But anyways finishing. Up with this I do have I do have
- 56:44kids named after me. By the way, I just.
- 56:47I'm sure you do. Name Joba Droba now I no if if
- 56:53you what. Play that again.
- 56:56When I see you, I want to punch you.
- 56:58Right in the face, Jabba. Takes it up the ass.
- 57:01That's fine, I'll. Take Jabba.
- 57:04Don't do it. Jobba is not an athlete.
- 57:09Oh, Nathan, you are the. Furthest thing an athlete.
- 57:15Poor Nathan you're punishing. Nathan, this guy has got such a
- 57:18great person. The real question if there was a
- 57:20Home Run Derby done. Everyone had to wear a blue
- 57:22blazer. Who would win?
- 57:26Oh, that's fair. That's fair there.
- 57:29We go. Nathan What?
- 57:30Would be. What would be your picks?
- 57:31For that which? So how did this thing work?
- 57:35You know you get. You get extra if you don't get.
- 57:383 outs within your swing. So taking pictures in this
- 57:41format is actually better because of that because it well
- 57:44it is some somewhat timed if you can get like you said, the three
- 57:47rooker has 16 right now. Yeah.
- 57:49So you're actually penal. You're actually.
- 57:51Not penalized as much as previous formats for taking
- 57:54pitches with the time as much because you don't want to get 3
- 57:56outs otherwise you'll get the extra time.
- 57:58So he gets the extra time because of that, because he has
- 58:00two outs remaining and because he only got out once.
- 58:04I don't like it. Speedy.
- 58:06Did you say penal? Penalized.
- 58:09That's kind of weird. Why does it?
- 58:10Happen too complicated. For my.
- 58:13Rear end is burning. Because there's so much.
- 58:15Controversy with like the splits of different formats.
- 58:16I think they're trying to do it like a hybrid together.
- 58:18I didn't even mind the way that it stayed how it always was.
- 58:20I don't. I don't like.
- 58:21It I, I don't, I don't like the way they change.
- 58:24I don't like the way they're. Changing it and again.
- 58:26That's because of Rod. That's because of Rod.
- 58:28Man freed as. But did anybody?
- 58:31No, it changed before that. It changed before.
- 58:33That yeah, there was something different last year, too.
- 58:35And they were. Basically switching before that
- 58:37with the outs versus the time, well, I don't like it after
- 58:40you're after. You're well, and then they got
- 58:42the bonus of it. Went over 420 or something.
- 58:45Well yeah, it used to be a distance bonus.
- 58:46This format is a if you don't make. 3 outs in the three
- 58:49minutes. But why is Rooker's wife on the?
- 58:52Field I mean, come on, I did it's I just want to see the damn
- 58:57all of the home run. Just not I don't want to go.
- 58:59It's for the are you, No, are you fucking stupid fast?
- 59:03Flicker robust to God. The.
- 59:06Fact that you. Say that arrow.
- 59:08I don't. Understand I don't want to see
- 59:10it. They may never they may never
- 59:12get this opportunity in why would you like he's a young guy
- 59:16when you're going to. Do something great when.
- 59:19You going to do something great? Would you not want to have
- 59:21Brittany next to you? I don't.
- 59:24Know. That that would be a question
- 59:27that I'll have to answer when the Todd Java you're not going
- 59:30to get him on this one. You're not I just you're not
- 59:33going to get. Any answers?
- 59:34I'm going to celebrate with my father and my son.
- 59:37Blow my back out, Errol. Just.
- 59:39Wants the action, he doesn't want the.
- 59:41Sentimental crap I I had to take shit work my.
- 59:44Butt off. Pulled it out.
- 59:47I was granted that because I'll let you lick my butt.
- 59:51The greatest thing. Yeah, I got a smarter, made it
- 59:54with him. Why?
- 59:55Don't you want them to celebrate that with you?
- 59:57I gave up the booty there. Yeah, he probably.
- 1:00:01Did in many. Different ways.
- 1:00:03Bend over and crack a smile. Why wouldn't you?
- 1:00:05No, I you. Can you can play the overlays
- 1:00:07and whatever you want to do, I don't care.
- 1:00:09I don't, I don't want to see he's still here as.
- 1:00:12A man. You can't.
- 1:00:13I don't want to. See his wife on a.
- 1:00:14Baseball field, I don't, I have any.
- 1:00:16I have no interest of seeing that.
- 1:00:18OK. I just want to see the Home Run
- 1:00:19Derby. I want to see you don't want
- 1:00:21your family with you. No, it's a.
- 1:00:22Home Run Derby. The hell do I want to see my
- 1:00:25wife on? Or my girlfriend or my kids,
- 1:00:28maybe my kids, because my sons or my daughter or whatever they
- 1:00:31want to. They want to remember the
- 1:00:32experience. I don't need to see my wife
- 1:00:34holding my kid out there on the baseball field, OK?
- 1:00:37I don't need to. I don't need to.
- 1:00:39If it's an infant, stay. Stay out there.
- 1:00:41You are a you are a miserable human.
- 1:00:43Sorry, not a miserable human, I'm just telling you what I
- 1:00:45think I. I don't want to see.
- 1:00:46I think I want I want to watch baseball.
- 1:00:50That's all I want to see. I don't want to see somebody's.
- 1:00:53But don't you want your family to watch you do this?
- 1:00:56So that and I I will get. No, I don't.
- 1:00:59Again, when I when I you out of your mind, I'm out of my mind.
- 1:01:05You're, you're speaking some gibberish crap that comes out of
- 1:01:08your mouth. I I'm telling you what I think
- 1:01:10I'm making. You're telling me I'm out of my
- 1:01:12mind because I. Have my own opinion.
- 1:01:14I have the right of my own opinion.
- 1:01:16I've never done what I've done OK.
- 1:01:18So we're we're going to that. Now you went with.
- 1:01:21You went with. I've never done what you have
- 1:01:23done. OK?
- 1:01:24I've never been a professional athlete.
- 1:01:26Fine. I've done other things that
- 1:01:27you've never done. Have you ever DJ in front of
- 1:01:3035,000 people? Have you ever traveled with some
- 1:01:32of the biggest DJs and the biggest artists in the industry?
- 1:01:35No, I have. So you've never done that.
- 1:01:38I've done that. I've done that.
- 1:01:39I'm not arguing. I OK, so you.
- 1:01:41I've done something you've. Never done so that's what I'm
- 1:01:45saying. I'm not.
- 1:01:45Disagreeing. So I'm just I'm, I'm speaking.
- 1:01:48You don't. Want your family to see?
- 1:01:51How good you are? Yeah, well, I, I.
- 1:01:54I his if his wife wants to watch the game, she could watch it out
- 1:01:58there in the press box. She could watch that in the
- 1:02:00audience like everybody else. I don't need to see her standing
- 1:02:02there with the infant in her hands.
- 1:02:04No, because we are literally like.
- 1:02:06In a position pulled it out of my ass.
- 1:02:08Would you not want your family to do that?
- 1:02:11Listen, I want my family to be. There, I don't need to see her
- 1:02:14on a baseball field. That's all I'm going to say
- 1:02:17about that. Now you're DJ ING in front of
- 1:02:2035,000. People and you know what that
- 1:02:25does and you're not a parent. I get that, but to see your son
- 1:02:32do I want or dog, no, I don't want, my kids I don't want.
- 1:02:35I don't want to see my I don't want my kids to see a bunch of
- 1:02:37druggies dancing around to my music.
- 1:02:39No, I do not want them seeing that.
- 1:02:41I also don't want to see my kids to see me up on a 50 foot
- 1:02:45scaffold looking like I'm going to fall off of it when I'm DJ.
- 1:02:48Nope, No, I don't want my kids seeing that.
- 1:02:51And, and you definitely don't want anybody because I don't, I
- 1:02:54don't want them seeing because it's good and bad.
- 1:02:56Cazero comes from an old school mentality where the name took a
- 1:03:01lunch pail and they went to the factories and they did their
- 1:03:05work and nobody needed to see their work and their work was
- 1:03:10all that mad and then they came home to their families.
- 1:03:13What are we playing? Like some video game and you're
- 1:03:16like Count Dracula Arrows in the video game Arrows playing some
- 1:03:21Wizard of Oz shit. This is people.
- 1:03:24Loving. On their families.
- 1:03:25Arrow it's not a terrible Oh, so so because I don't love on my
- 1:03:29listen, I love my family. I do a lot for my family, but
- 1:03:31I'm not going to be sitting there.
- 1:03:33I'm out there trying to hit baseballs and impress the fans.
- 1:03:38That's when I'm there and make baseball look good.
- 1:03:40And I have my wife sitting back there looking out there and we
- 1:03:43have the camera wasn't on him. It was on his wife.
- 1:03:46I don't want to see his wife. It's it's like watching the
- 1:03:48court. OK, She's part of us, dummy.
- 1:03:51She's not part of us, she's not part of me. 100% she is.
- 1:03:55That's how you. Shame, yeah.
- 1:03:57That's that's about it. I mean about shaving that debt.
- 1:04:01You're a grown man, so you're saying.
- 1:04:03To learn how to grow, be a grown man.
- 1:04:04You say you love. Brittany, correct?
- 1:04:06Yeah. I love so she's not.
- 1:04:08Part of that, but she's. Not part of what you do.
- 1:04:12Yeah, Well, I in some. Cases.
- 1:04:14She's not part of what you do, yes.
- 1:04:16In some kind of ways, I I. Would say, but in in other ways
- 1:04:20I'm a little lost in some of the other stuff that I have to deal
- 1:04:22with. So I All in all, if anybody
- 1:04:25knows me and knows my personality knows that I'm
- 1:04:28pretty straightforward and I don't have to beat around the
- 1:04:30Bush. And if I'm going to beat around
- 1:04:31the Bush, I'm making sure that I shave it before I beat.
- 1:04:33Now. Anyways, getting back to the
- 1:04:35baseball conversation in the Savannah Bananas and Nick
- 1:04:38Castellano saying that it's Savannah.
- 1:04:39If it's Savannah the Bananas, why is anybody dancing on the
- 1:04:42baseball field? Why is anybody going out there
- 1:04:44in the audience and, you know, sticking ball bags in in
- 1:04:47people's faces like Speedy does? I mean, the fact is I, I think
- 1:04:51base, the All Star game is supposed to be entertainment.
- 1:04:54That's all it is. You want to make, everybody's
- 1:04:56saying, oh, you make 100 KA, $1,000,000 or whatever the hell
- 1:04:59they make through all these different competitions and stuff
- 1:05:02like it, good for them. The fact is I don't, to me it
- 1:05:05doesn't really matter. It doesn't set you up to win a
- 1:05:09World Series. It doesn't matter to me.
- 1:05:11As a matter of fact, if I'm a baseball player and I know I
- 1:05:13have two weeks off that I can go to Hawaiian Islands or something
- 1:05:16like that, I'm doing that then dealing with the garbage.
- 1:05:19You don't have two weeks off, you have four days.
- 1:05:21All right, a week off a week. Off because that's what they
- 1:05:24have. They're going to have a week
- 1:05:25off. So for when, when's baseball
- 1:05:29start? After the All Star game, usually
- 1:05:30that Friday. Friday, Thursday, we got to
- 1:05:33throw. And when was all right?
- 1:05:35So when? Did.
- 1:05:36When did the all? Star game start so Sunday was
- 1:05:38the last day of the season so you have 5 days so you could go
- 1:05:42to an island you could take a boat trip you could do anything
- 1:05:45go hang out with your family throw still got to throw and
- 1:05:47they. Could throw something else he
- 1:05:49could have. He could have.
- 1:05:51He could throw some soap at his wife.
- 1:05:52OK, in many different ways in the bathroom, but why is it
- 1:05:56always at your spouse? Like, well, you're going to be
- 1:05:59hanging out with your spouse, right?
- 1:06:00Are you going to hang out with your spouse?
- 1:06:02What are you going to do? Yeah.
- 1:06:03Or am I hanging out with my son? Oh, OK, you could be hanging out
- 1:06:06in the bathroom. With a bunch of dudes just like
- 1:06:08that, dropping, dropping the soap.
- 1:06:10Or. Something of that magnitude.
- 1:06:12Would you drop the soap? I don't.
- 1:06:14First of all, I. Never drop the soap and if I
- 1:06:16drop. The soap I definitely won't do
- 1:06:18it in front of you Pain anyways. Cam Caminero's killing it right
- 1:06:22now. Except 14.
- 1:06:26Oh, I'm ahead of you. But he's.
- 1:06:28Are you ahead of me a little bit if you're at 14, but.
- 1:06:31I don't like these. I don't like the pace of this
- 1:06:33stuff. He's the one that had the walk
- 1:06:35off home run in winter ball that he spent like a minute and a
- 1:06:37half running around the bases taunting it like Caminero.
- 1:06:41He's a he's an interesting dude. That Rays team is getting some
- 1:06:44personality. He was the number one prospect
- 1:06:46of baseball for a reason. Yeah, he's only he's.
- 1:06:49Only 22. He's They're all young James
- 1:06:52Wood is. Is, is a young kid, I mean, he's
- 1:06:5522 years old. All these guys.
- 1:06:56This is what you want to see. You want to see the young guys.
- 1:06:58I don't want to see the old dudes, 2829 guys that are going
- 1:07:02to get contracts in a in a year or two because they're getting,
- 1:07:04they're going to be free agents. We got a couple of, we got a
- 1:07:08really old dude that we got to talk about before our guest
- 1:07:10comes on as well. That might be.
- 1:07:14Getting forced. Out La La.
- 1:07:17Land, my friend. Who's that?
- 1:07:19The well, he's really old then you think he runs the league,
- 1:07:22but but LeBron James don't feel that way.
- 1:07:25Well, I, I, I will get it to the LeBron James in in a second.
- 1:07:29But I, I, I will say this and all you fans out there that are
- 1:07:33so caught into this, this Home Run Derby or this, this All Star
- 1:07:38game, stop crying. Stop crying.
- 1:07:41You, you got a chance to watch this garbage for at least
- 1:07:45another two days and then you got to get to watch a season all
- 1:07:47the way, 80 more games left or 8079 more games left of the
- 1:07:52regular season and see who gets traded.
- 1:07:54So stop crying. ESPN reports that LeBron James
- 1:07:56was frustrated at the Lakers organization for not being told
- 1:08:00about the Lakers $10 billion sale yet.
- 1:08:04Luka Doncic was told right away. I'm not surprised, Price.
- 1:08:07The report added that the Lakers were always trying to transition
- 1:08:11to Luka Doncic as the face of the franchise since ownership
- 1:08:15changed and LeBron felt disrespected to how suddenly it
- 1:08:19happened despite opting into his contract option with the Lakers.
- 1:08:24Rich Paul, yes, the one and only told ESPN that the Lakers never
- 1:08:29approached LeBron about another big extension.
- 1:08:32Rich Paul also added that LeBron hasn't formally requested a
- 1:08:36trade, but for NBA teams have been in contact with the Lakers
- 1:08:41about a potential LeBron trade. NBA insider Brandon Robinson
- 1:08:46reports that those four teams are what do you love?
- 1:08:50What do you what do you know? The Warriors, The Mavericks, the
- 1:08:52Clippers, and the Cavaliers? Reports say that the Warriors
- 1:08:57would be willing to give up anybody besides Steph Curry and
- 1:09:01Draymond Green in a potential LeBron trade.
- 1:09:04Hoops Wire reports that the Cavaliers are likely not not
- 1:09:08interested in LeBron trade, but would be interested if the
- 1:09:11Lakers bought out his contract. Lebron's player option with the
- 1:09:16Lakers this season is worth about 52.5, which is the most he
- 1:09:21would make in a season in his whole career.
- 1:09:23What? What is his buyout?
- 1:09:25I, I don't know what his buyout is.
- 1:09:27It's got to. Be a little.
- 1:09:27Bit it would probably be half of that or 30 million of it, that
- 1:09:31that's what I would think. LeBron James is not getting
- 1:09:34bought out. The only thing the Lakers could
- 1:09:38do with LeBron James is trade him if he's available or he says
- 1:09:43that he wants to be traded. And I'm not surprised the Bus
- 1:09:46family didn't tell LeBron that he they were moving on with the
- 1:09:50organization. The Bus family have been
- 1:09:51fighting for team control. We know about the two brothers
- 1:09:55and and the sister and the organization since doctor Bus
- 1:10:00has been you know, he's been gone, has not been the same
- 1:10:03organization. Now LeBron James went over
- 1:10:05there. They won a title in the bubble,
- 1:10:07bubble year and that was good for the Lakers.
- 1:10:10But again, and the Lakers have been a dried out organization,
- 1:10:12haven't drafted right. They had a chance for him for
- 1:10:15for a couple of years to to bring in guys.
- 1:10:17And you, you decided to bring in a guy like Paul.
- 1:10:20I'm sorry, Ball and and and ball was on the team for how many,
- 1:10:24how many years before they decided to part ways with him
- 1:10:26couldn't stay healthy was the second pick in the first round.
- 1:10:29I mean, we could go on and on and on of some of these Lakers,
- 1:10:33some of these top 10 picks that the Lakers have had over the
- 1:10:35years and just struck out on them.
- 1:10:37It's very Nick like that's been the Lakers.
- 1:10:40Now LeBron James. The LJA has been run by LeBron
- 1:10:44James over the last, I would say 20 years.
- 1:10:46And the LJA is an organization that is interested to see what
- 1:10:51Lebron's going to do this so offseason.
- 1:10:52If he tells the Lakers that he doesn't want any part of this
- 1:10:55organization and he wants to go to a winning team, a winning
- 1:10:57organization and has a chance to win another title, then it would
- 1:11:00be Steph Curry. If he wants to go back with the
- 1:11:02Cleveland Cavaliers and finish his career where he started,
- 1:11:06that would make a lot of sense. The facts are it's pretty
- 1:11:09simple. He's not going to The Mavericks
- 1:11:11and he's not going to the Clippers.
- 1:11:12Why the hell would he go to the Clippers when he's already
- 1:11:14playing for in the Staples Center?
- 1:11:16That doesn't make sense. And as far as The Mavericks are
- 1:11:18concerned, we all know that he's a Cooper flag fan, but and he he
- 1:11:22knows Kyrie Irving and he knows Anthony Davis.
- 1:11:24I, I just don't see The Mavericks having the money to
- 1:11:29land to LeBron James unless they trade away Anthony Davis and
- 1:11:32Kyrie Irving to bring him to play with Cooper Flag.
- 1:11:34It doesn't make any sense. The money doesn't make sense.
- 1:11:37So that's not going to happen. I the whole point here is the
- 1:11:41LeBron James story is almost over and Rich Paul coming out
- 1:11:44and saying that the Lakers didn't give him an extension.
- 1:11:47That's because LeBron James doesn't want an extension.
- 1:11:49How many times in the last three years has he complained and
- 1:11:52bitched that this is his last year he was at the SP Award.
- 1:11:55Can we just give him his greatness?
- 1:11:57In what he have, I have given him his greatest.
- 1:12:01Player. I've given him his greatness.
- 1:12:03What? Else do we need to talk about
- 1:12:04him going and crying that the Lakers didn't give him
- 1:12:08information? Talk about where he was going.
- 1:12:11Where they were going and what they were.
- 1:12:12Doing to your organization. Everybody's given him his
- 1:12:14greatness. Stop Shabba.
- 1:12:16Everybody has given him LeBron James, the praise.
- 1:12:19I don't want to hear his praise anymore.
- 1:12:21As a matter of fact, this praise is shit to me.
- 1:12:24Yes, I'm going to curse. It's garbage.
- 1:12:26I don't want to hear about LeBron James and what LeBron
- 1:12:29James did for the league. He's brought endorsements, so
- 1:12:32did Michael Jordan. He's brought shoe deals, so did
- 1:12:34Michael Jordan. He's brought it nationally and
- 1:12:36internationally, so did Michael Jordan.
- 1:12:38LeBron James stands for one thing, the only thing that he's
- 1:12:41known for since he's coming to the league, the King, and he
- 1:12:45thinks he's he's royalty. The only royal, the royal
- 1:12:49royalness he has is the royal friggin thorn he has up his ass.
- 1:12:52That's all I'm going to say about LeBron James.
- 1:12:55LeBron James is crying that the Lakers didn't tell him if they
- 1:12:59were going to sell the team. Who cares?
- 1:13:01You're making hundreds of millions of dollars to
- 1:13:04endorsements and sneaker deals and being a producer and and
- 1:13:08owner of these stupid pizzerias. How do we care about what LeBron
- 1:13:12James is crying about? Here's the facts, guys.
- 1:13:15LeBron James is a story. And as long as LeBron James is a
- 1:13:18story and he runs the league, it's always going to be one of
- 1:13:21those. The fact is, I don't care what
- 1:13:24Rich Paul has to say, even though he negotiated with the
- 1:13:26New York Knicks in the offseason.
- 1:13:28And I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron James heads to the New
- 1:13:31York Knicks at some point next season because that's very Nick
- 1:13:35like. I don't want to hear it anymore
- 1:13:37about where and why LeBron James hasn't walked away from this
- 1:13:41contract. Would you walk away from $52.5
- 1:13:43million? The answer would be no.
- 1:13:46Nobody in their right mind would walk away from $52.5 million,
- 1:13:52including LeBron James. That's a billionaire.
- 1:13:54LeBron James is all about buying a team and running an
- 1:13:57organization in the future, and he probably is pissed off that
- 1:14:01they didn't sell the team to him, the little baby that he is.
- 1:14:04The fact is, when we look at the picture and it's big, Luka
- 1:14:09Dodgek is the face of the Lakers fact and it's going to be sealed
- 1:14:13and delivered. LeBron James.
- 1:14:15Still LeBron the face. No, no, he's not the face
- 1:14:18anymore. Luca's the.
- 1:14:19Face and Luca knows it, and that's why Luca was told when
- 1:14:22the bus family decided. But does he want to be though?
- 1:14:25Yes. He does.
- 1:14:27He was the face of the. Mavericks, he loved it.
- 1:14:29He loved being a face. I'm sure he's he was upset, yes,
- 1:14:33that The Mavericks decided to part ways with him.
- 1:14:34He's even more happier because of the endorsements this guy's
- 1:14:37going to make when LeBron is gone and the LJA is off.
- 1:14:41I don't. I'm not disagreeing.
- 1:14:42But do you really think he's like?
- 1:14:44And yes, I don't think he's the. Face.
- 1:14:47Yes, he is. 100% I don't think he.
- 1:14:50Is OK, He's the second best player.
- 1:14:53I watch. A lot.
- 1:14:54Of. LA channels over here I've got I
- 1:14:57got a stick and I watch different channels for LA.
- 1:14:59There are already commercials being dominated by Luka Dodgek.
- 1:15:02He's been in Subway 100%. I'm not.
- 1:15:05Disagreeing on that part of it, but I just.
- 1:15:10I just his. Personality's not wait a second.
- 1:15:12Right. You don't think Luka Doncic has
- 1:15:14a? Personality.
- 1:15:15What are what are you calling Nico Harrison now?
- 1:15:17Wait A. Second, wait a second, did you
- 1:15:18just say? That Luka, I honestly have a
- 1:15:20personality I honestly like. No, I I honestly don't think how
- 1:15:24many, how many, Nico? Harrison must have brainwashed
- 1:15:26how many times? Why wouldn't?
- 1:15:28Why? Wouldn't Mike Trout?
- 1:15:30No, he's not my Trout at the at the at the peak of his game,
- 1:15:34dude, he is not my Trout. He never you.
- 1:15:36Can't even compare, but that's a it's kind of the same thing.
- 1:15:39No, it's not. Look, Luka.
- 1:15:41Doncic is one of the more higher praised players in the league.
- 1:15:46He's either an ass or he's very likable.
- 1:15:48How many times have we heard players say this guy?
- 1:15:51You know, he's screaming, he's torturing us on the basketball
- 1:15:54court, but he's but he's not a voice.
- 1:15:57Yes. He Yes, he is.
- 1:15:58He's one of the. Boys, dude, he's one of the my
- 1:16:01other guys dude. Nationally, he's a bigger voice
- 1:16:03than Yokich. Yeah, he's a bigger voice than
- 1:16:06Yokich. He's probably nationally besides
- 1:16:09really, Shay Alexander Gilchrist, This this guy is
- 1:16:13probably right there with him. It's the faces of national,
- 1:16:17international basketball. Yeah, he is.
- 1:16:20But also to put it in perspective.
- 1:16:21Too. There's a lot of Webbie's
- 1:16:23getting there now too, right to put.
- 1:16:24It in perspective, there were a lot of Lakers.
- 1:16:26Fans that did not like when they traded for LeBron the first
- 1:16:28couple years he was there too because of the whole LeBron
- 1:16:31versus Kobe comparison. So they had to say, I don't
- 1:16:33Kobe, I don't give a shit. Either way.
- 1:16:37But I guess I'd look at it from a different, different,
- 1:16:42different realm because I've played the game.
- 1:16:45I've I've been in these realms. And I'm not saying you guys are
- 1:16:48wrong by any means, but you have to have a face and a
- 1:16:53personality. And what Joker has done to you
- 1:16:59is like, God, you made me go to the All Star game.
- 1:17:03So I couldn't spend those four days with, you know, my family
- 1:17:06and whatever. Yeah.
- 1:17:08And after the after they won the championship.
- 1:17:09Too with the parade, Jabba, you're going to tell me right
- 1:17:11now if if Luka. Doncic was walking.
- 1:17:13In New York City, you wouldn't notice him.
- 1:17:16Nope, you're out. Of your mind, you're out of your
- 1:17:18mind, I. Are you crazy?
- 1:17:20Have you lost your mind? If Luka Doncic walked right past
- 1:17:23you over there in New York City, you would.
- 1:17:25He's not my trout. My trout's like five, 10511,
- 1:17:29big, thick legs. Nobody knows who my trout is,
- 1:17:31because my trout, I didn't notice.
- 1:17:34My trout is a hover boy. That's what he is.
- 1:17:36He's a hover boy. Especially the future saying
- 1:17:38whatever. But you know what?
- 1:17:40I'm different, no doubt, because you know.
- 1:17:43Why? Because I don't care.
- 1:17:45Who you are don't care. Not yanking on a dead man, but
- 1:17:49there's a difference. I think as well if they walk by
- 1:17:51me if I notice. Them Yes.
- 1:17:53Did I walk by Zach Galifianakis? Did I walk by hundreds of famous
- 1:17:58people on the streets of New York?
- 1:18:02But nobody will be Not Care weekend.
- 1:18:03That nobody will be collectively.
- 1:18:05Throughout their career, the level I'm.
- 1:18:06Telling you to care, I'm telling.
- 1:18:08You that if if Luka Dodgek I'm not going to notice in New York
- 1:18:11City, you're not going to notice him.
- 1:18:13Don't a six foot 10. You know he's a white dude.
- 1:18:17He's from he's from a foreign land that nobody knows of.
- 1:18:21My best friend played College in Delaware.
- 1:18:23And he was 610 wherever, wherever he's from.
- 1:18:28Who cares? Where he's from?
- 1:18:29I mean, if Luka Dodgek is walking around around, you
- 1:18:33definitely notice them. You're going to notice.
- 1:18:36Them a six foot 10 like at the end.
- 1:18:38Yeah, but like, does it fucking? Matter.
- 1:18:41We're the same person, but that's not the point I'm telling
- 1:18:44you my. Draws on the same.
- 1:18:45Way. All right.
- 1:18:46Well, my point hopefully. It'll put it on your head.
- 1:18:49Because then I would. Probably be worried about you is
- 1:18:51you're no better than me, but when?
- 1:18:53It comes to a face of a game like you have to have a
- 1:18:57different, you have to have a different perspective.
- 1:19:00And I have a different Luka Dodgeka has been a.
- 1:19:01Young face. Of the NBA, he has been the face
- 1:19:05besides. Probably guys like Wenby that
- 1:19:08has come up and you got to have somebody that stands, they have
- 1:19:10to talk. Though, Lou, OK, where you talk.
- 1:19:13Is Luka dodgeka top? Three player, right?
- 1:19:15Now, in the NBA, yes or no? Easily 100%.
- 1:19:18All right, so how are you going to?
- 1:19:19Tell me right now. That if he walked around New
- 1:19:22York City, you would know who he was.
- 1:19:23The NBA is big nationally. Everybody and their mother would
- 1:19:27know. All right, Fish.
- 1:19:29Speedy. If you saw Luka Dodgekin, you
- 1:19:31know what would you? How about you?
- 1:19:33How about you, Tommy? You come right in right now.
- 1:19:35You tell me right now. If if you if you saw Luka
- 1:19:38Dodgekin in New York City, would you notice him 100%?
- 1:19:41How about you Fish? Would you notice him?
- 1:19:436 foot 10 dude he's like 69610 you notice anyone that's 69610
- 1:19:48but you would know who he was. Doesn't mean they they are so
- 1:19:50you would know. What He is definitely a
- 1:19:53somebody. He's he's the he's the voice of
- 1:19:55that basketball. That's what he is.
- 1:19:57I wouldn't care. He is.
- 1:19:59He is. He's a phenom.
- 1:20:01I'm I know you don't care. I got it.
- 1:20:05You don't give a crap. We got it.
- 1:20:07I do. And and and to me, Luca Dodge is
- 1:20:10the face. Why would you care?
- 1:20:11Because he's not curing cancer. He's the face.
- 1:20:14He is the face of the Lakers for the next 10 to 12.
- 1:20:18Years, the face of the LA Lakers will be Luca Dodgek, not LeBron
- 1:20:24freaking James, and people need to get that in their head and
- 1:20:27LeBron needs to get that in the head.
- 1:20:28The LJA needs to get that in their heads.
- 1:20:31It's a different game now and we're looking at some of the
- 1:20:35young superstars that we're going to want to see come up
- 1:20:37like Cooper Flag, Anthony Edwards, who doesn't shut the
- 1:20:40hell up or even guys like Wenbing Yama, who is a guy that
- 1:20:43everybody wants to see. Even Giannis who's 3031 years
- 1:20:46old is still younger than the old man LeBron James.
- 1:20:50Nobody gives a crap about LeBron.
- 1:20:52Foreign national basketball. International basketball is more
- 1:20:55bigger than American basketball now.
- 1:20:58Why? Because there are bigger
- 1:20:59superstars internationally than American.
- 1:21:03So I those are the facts and and again, I know you don't give a
- 1:21:07crap. I do and the latest sneakers and
- 1:21:09the organization don't need to tell LeBron James what they're
- 1:21:13doing. And who the hell cares as far as
- 1:21:15I'm concerned, if LeBron James is going out there and crying on
- 1:21:19a stupid podcast with Steve Nash, who I I've grown to
- 1:21:23respect over the years and, and lost a lot of respect because
- 1:21:26he's working with that idiot on a podcast.
- 1:21:28And, and some of the stuff that comes out of both of their
- 1:21:30mouths just make me really sick to my stomach.
- 1:21:33I I don't know, am I boring you over there fish that you're
- 1:21:36yawning? So I mean, seriously, it's it's
- 1:21:40getting on my nerves thinking that anybody doesn't think that
- 1:21:43Luka Doncic is one of the faces of basketball.
- 1:21:45He absolutely is. And Lakers basketball is really
- 1:21:49been needing a face of that magnitude.
- 1:21:51So I love it. Face is a different of a like a.
- 1:21:54Conglomerate like I think you see a face of how great they
- 1:21:58are. 100% you're right. He had popularity though as a
- 1:22:02younger but you have. To you have to semi.
- 1:22:04Program, but you have. To talk you, you have to talk
- 1:22:07and you have to do things. And they're not good at talking.
- 1:22:11Yeah, but at the same time we also get the.
- 1:22:13Hype of these prospects that do end up talking do end up having
- 1:22:17all this hype before their respective no the dumb ones that
- 1:22:20talk and. Talk stupid Ding Dong stuff, no
- 1:22:25talk about when you. Actually, get to it.
- 1:22:28Speedy talk when you get to it and you're that dude.
- 1:22:33He still had that kind of prestige from an.
- 1:22:35International standpoint playing almost semi like pro level like
- 1:22:39he was playing at 16 years old with a lot of professionals.
- 1:22:41What? What?
- 1:22:42What did you you. Said semi right semi pro for the
- 1:22:45Spain. OK.
- 1:22:46That's semi which? Is ahead of us, which is a head,
- 1:22:49he said. It wrong.
- 1:22:50Which is ahead of what? A lot of the NBA.
- 1:22:52Draft prospects were playing at playing in college.
- 1:22:55It's a little bit higher of a level.
- 1:22:56He was getting international prestige at that time, so there
- 1:23:00was a level of hype that that Luka Doncic was getting as a
- 1:23:03draft prospect as a young player.
- 1:23:06I'm not discrediting. Him by any means.
- 1:23:09He's not. He's one of them.
- 1:23:10Yes, he is if Luka. Doncic was playing with LeBron.
- 1:23:13When he was drafted, yeah, that's different, but it's a
- 1:23:15different league now. He absolutely, but he's but he's
- 1:23:18not. That dude, he's the next.
- 1:23:20I love him. He's I love.
- 1:23:22Him as a player, dude, He's the next guy up, man.
- 1:23:25He is absolutely the one of those guys and I'm right now now
- 1:23:28trying to to bring in some of the rankings because you're
- 1:23:30right, Wendy's going to get the most hype because of his.
- 1:23:32Pre draft hype but Luca is right now a better player.
- 1:23:35Dude on this list The three. Listen to this.
- 1:23:38The number one player right now at popularity is giannis #2 #2
- 1:23:44jokic #3 Shell Alexander #4, Luka Dodgek.
- 1:23:49That's that's on this list. Other people have him three and
- 1:23:52some 2, but you guys go off. This shit that you see on the
- 1:23:57Internet? No, I'm, I'm watching.
- 1:23:58I would say that let's. Wait a second, wait a second.
- 1:24:01Wait a second, wait a second, wait a second.
- 1:24:03I've been. In the game you're telling me
- 1:24:04I've been in the. Game, you're telling?
- 1:24:06Fine, you've been in the game. You've been in one game,
- 1:24:08baseball I and I've I've been around baseball.
- 1:24:11I also was in the realm with. These guys, too, I've been
- 1:24:14around basketball players. I've been to the NBA.
- 1:24:16Draft, I've been. I've been to NBA Finals, I've
- 1:24:19been. NBA Playoffs, I've been.
- 1:24:21I've been around these guys. You did. 35,000 people and no,
- 1:24:24I'm talking about no I'm talking.
- 1:24:26About it, I've been, I've been around these guys.
- 1:24:29And if you're going to tell me right now I don't know
- 1:24:32basketball where then you don't, Not because I'm reading things
- 1:24:37off the Internet, I can give a crap.
- 1:24:39I'm telling you right now, Luka Dodgek, if he goes anywhere in
- 1:24:42the country of the United States, even in Oregon, in a
- 1:24:46freaking Missouri, people are going to know who Luka Dodgek
- 1:24:49is. It's a fact.
- 1:24:52I don't know why you think that he isn't.
- 1:24:53He could be in your cornfield in Nebraska and everybody will know
- 1:24:57who Luka Doncic is. Stop with this.
- 1:24:59It's this absolutely rubbish. I'm telling you, you're wrong.
- 1:25:05This is ridiculous, Luka Doncic. Just because he's playing.
- 1:25:07With another guy, this is ridiculous that LeBron has been
- 1:25:10like if he walked in Nebraska, nobody.
- 1:25:12Would know I, I told. Man, I want to prove you wrong.
- 1:25:16I want to prove you he'd be taller than the corn.
- 1:25:18Are you are you out of your mind?
- 1:25:21You actually think? Oh, come on, dude.
- 1:25:24You you don't actually believe that.
- 1:25:26Yeah, I'm. Just telling he is not my trout.
- 1:25:29He is not. My trout, if you really believe
- 1:25:31that nobody would know who Luka Doncic is in Nebraska, you're
- 1:25:34out of your damn freaking mind. You've lost it, dude.
- 1:25:37He is. I don't think Luca is going to
- 1:25:39Nebraska anytime. I don't think so either, but
- 1:25:41wouldn't matter. I would.
- 1:25:43I'd pay Luca a million. Dollars and he could walk down
- 1:25:46my street. I guarantee you there wouldn't
- 1:25:51be 5. People that knew who the fuck he
- 1:25:52was. OK, when Stewart comes in?
- 1:25:55I'm going to ask him that same question and I want to ask, and
- 1:25:58I guarantee you Stewart will agree with us because even
- 1:26:01Stewart, who probably is not the biggest basketball fan, knows
- 1:26:05who Luka Dodgek is. It's pretty passive.
- 1:26:08That trade? That trade is going to go down.
- 1:26:11One of the worst trades in NBA history.
- 1:26:14It's going to go down. So Luka Dodgek right there is
- 1:26:18the score. It's going to be the best ever.
- 1:26:19What do you mean? The best ever he's going to be.
- 1:26:22In the top five best. Ever.
- 1:26:23Who, Luka. No way.
- 1:26:25Yeah, no way. No way.
- 1:26:27Top five best ever You need to play.
- 1:26:29No way. No way he'll be.
- 1:26:31In the top five best. No way and.
- 1:26:33That nobody like that. If you're claiming that, but I'm
- 1:26:36going to tell. You, you walk, I like.
- 1:26:37Luca, no, we won't walk. Down the street of Lincoln, NE.
- 1:26:41Nobody gives 2 shits who you are.
- 1:26:44Nobody cares I I still know who Luca Dodgek is.
- 1:26:47They might not care who he is. They're going to know who he is,
- 1:26:50but they're not. They're not going to.
- 1:26:52Care. They might not care, but they're
- 1:26:54going to know who he is. Hey.
- 1:26:55Look, it's Luka Dodgic, all right?
- 1:26:56Let's go rob his ass. So, you know, I walk around the
- 1:26:59streets of Lincoln and I walk. Around where I'll let you lick
- 1:27:01my butt. They know who I am.
- 1:27:03That's. But here's the deal though.
- 1:27:05They're going to make sure. That in a year's time, someone
- 1:27:08in your position in middle of America, surrounded by so much
- 1:27:11corn they can't even see the basketball fields, basketball
- 1:27:14courts, they're gonna know that who Luca is because the Lakers
- 1:27:18are going full court press. This is what came out.
- 1:27:21This is what But this is what came out.
- 1:27:22That they didn't even tell LeBron they were scared team.
- 1:27:25They didn't even bother informing him he's not part of
- 1:27:29their future plans. They're actually upset that he
- 1:27:33opted in on the player contract because he could have been a
- 1:27:36part of a sign in trade. They could have sent him
- 1:27:38somewhere. But no, he was greedy for this
- 1:27:40extra 1520. He's given up money in the past
- 1:27:43to a certain extent. We know that.
- 1:27:45So he's taken his every last dollar, but he shouldn't also
- 1:27:48then complain that he's not the face of his team when he took
- 1:27:51that money. If he took less money, I bet he
- 1:27:53could have been sent somewhere and still been that face.
- 1:27:56And I will tell you this, because of all this stuff that
- 1:27:58you're hearing that's going on, LeBron will have even a better
- 1:28:01year this coming year than he did last year.
- 1:28:03Why? Because he's going to have
- 1:28:04something to prove. And that's good.
- 1:28:07That's good for the Lakers. Why?
- 1:28:09Because he's a trade ship where they could get themselves some
- 1:28:12future consideration picks they're going to need because as
- 1:28:16we see The Mavericks, they won the they won the draft.
- 1:28:19Why? Because the LJA wanted them to
- 1:28:22win the draft. And I'll say it again, Luka
- 1:28:25Doncic is very well respected around the world, nationally,
- 1:28:28internationally and and, and again, I think LeBron James
- 1:28:32needs to take a step back and realize that his time, his reign
- 1:28:35as the superstar, the fates of the NBA is over.
- 1:28:39Finito gone, gone with the wind, gone with the fireflies, gone
- 1:28:45with Toucan Haman, as we all know in Egypt.
- 1:28:48So I mean it's done, it's over. I don't want to hear it anymore
- 1:28:53and I don't want to hear about his crap.
- 1:28:54We know he's the second greatest basketball player all the time.
- 1:28:56We know he's going to have all the records.
- 1:28:58We all know his son is a horrible basketball player and
- 1:29:01he hates Stephen A Smith because of it.
- 1:29:03And his son Bryce is going to be better than his little son
- 1:29:05Bronny. And hopefully he never plays a
- 1:29:07lick of a basketball game with the Lakers because I don't want
- 1:29:10to see him ruin his career. That's all I'm going to say
- 1:29:12about that. As far as Brandon Robinson
- 1:29:15saying we're no, none. I'm telling you the truth.
- 1:29:19If I'm going to be canceled. For telling the truth.
- 1:29:21So be it. The LJA and the organization
- 1:29:24needs to understand that this is all about understanding the way
- 1:29:28the game should be played and the way you build around
- 1:29:31superstar young talent. And that's what the NBA is doing
- 1:29:35now. They're starting to wake the F
- 1:29:37up. That's what they're doing.
- 1:29:39They're waking up and it's not LeBron James, it's guys like
- 1:29:43Cooper Flag and Anthony Edwards who doesn't shut the hell up.
- 1:29:46And then those type of guys and now the Shay Alexander's who
- 1:29:49just got $70 million for a contract a year.
- 1:29:52That's what you want to see. You want to see those up and
- 1:29:55comers, not Joel Embiid, who shows, oh, that guy, I don't
- 1:29:59know if he's the truth and also he's the self.
- 1:30:02Proclaimed most hated player in the NBA.
- 1:30:04I only hear it and Draymond Green.
- 1:30:06I don't. Care about his podcast so so
- 1:30:08give the golf. Slap on that day.
- 1:30:10Yeah, well, I'll give just not to serve a golf.
- 1:30:12I'll give the golf whack, I'll give the what's that smell?
- 1:30:15The Snapple, the snap Snapple and Pop and all that other
- 1:30:19stuff. You just made my nipples.
- 1:30:20Sorry, because I could care less.
- 1:30:21Not about what? LeBron James.
- 1:30:22There's no realm where Joel Embiid or Draymond.
- 1:30:25Green or LeBron deserves a golf clap.
- 1:30:27No, the NBA, right? Now.
- 1:30:30Has to understand who the next guy up is and if it isn't guys
- 1:30:34like Luka Doncic, which I believe he's one of the three
- 1:30:37because even Giannis is getting up there at age and he's what
- 1:30:40he's already talking about. Maybe three more years of
- 1:30:42basketball and he's going to walk away.
- 1:30:43He's not playing till he's 40. Giannis already said he's not.
- 1:30:46He's not doing that. So I expect that you're going to
- 1:30:51hear in the next two or three years, this guy is the new face
- 1:30:54of basketball. And I, I'm starting to think
- 1:30:56it's going to be Cooper flag because I think the NBA wants to
- 1:30:59see that Dallas is looking for a casino.
- 1:31:01The organization is looking for something to kind of give them
- 1:31:04something to look forward to and and cheer for.
- 1:31:07I think Dallas is a, you know, obviously the star and the home
- 1:31:12of the Dallas Cowboys. So maybe Cooper flag going over
- 1:31:15there and giving them another superstar with Dak, AKA the
- 1:31:19critter himself, Prescott. Maybe we'll we'll see something
- 1:31:22fun to fun when it comes to basketball for the next four to
- 1:31:25five years as he develops. So that's all I care about.
- 1:31:29All right, let's go to my golf clap of the day.
- 1:31:33This deserves. A golf clap.
- 1:31:36No doubt. Golf Clap.
- 1:31:37Golf clan. My golf clap of the day I'm.
- 1:31:42Going to bring it up. Where's it?
- 1:31:43Where's it going to? I don't.
- 1:31:45Know I don't know where this is going.
- 1:31:47Well, it's going. To go because I I get a text.
- 1:31:49From fish in Speedy, maybe go here.
- 1:31:52I don't know if I should give it a golf clap because there's
- 1:31:54nothing to clap about. The golf clap of the day goes to
- 1:31:57Garrett Wilson. Garrett Wilson today gets a four
- 1:32:00year, gets a four year. 130. $1,000,000 Contract from the New
- 1:32:05York Jets, $90,000,000 guarantee to make him the third highest
- 1:32:10paid wide receiver in NFL history.
- 1:32:14What does that smell? Well, it smells like garbage.
- 1:32:16Because here's the problem. As a Jet fan, I like I can't use
- 1:32:21that one now. Thank.
- 1:32:22You. The fact is, I like.
- 1:32:24Garrett Wilson, I think he's going to be a great player as as
- 1:32:28we see what Justin Fields is going to do with him this year
- 1:32:30as they play to get play with each other in Ohio State.
- 1:32:33The problem is is that he hasn't had one season that really comes
- 1:32:37off the charts. He's not he doesn't have a
- 1:32:39Justin Jefferson season or Jamar Chase.
- 1:32:42Those guys getting fourteen 1500 yards.
- 1:32:44No, he's never hit those totals and The Jets give him a four
- 1:32:47year, $130 million contract, which makes him third highest
- 1:32:50paid wide receiver in the NFLII. It doesn't make make any sense
- 1:32:54and it shows you the incompetence of the organization
- 1:32:56and where the organization is heading.
- 1:32:58I would have probably given Sauce Gardner the money, that
- 1:33:01kind of money right now, instead of waiting.
- 1:33:03Maybe Sauce didn't want to take the money.
- 1:33:04What would you have paid him? I.
- 1:33:06I would have paid him 100. $1,000,000 That's what I would
- 1:33:08have given him. I would have given him $70
- 1:33:10million guaranteed because even though Garrett Wilson has had
- 1:33:141000 yard seasons practically every single year since he
- 1:33:17stepped on a a football field. The problem is he gave The Jets
- 1:33:20problems last year because he didn't like Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:33:23He he gave The Jets problems that he was playing out of
- 1:33:25position. He also was a guy that speaks
- 1:33:28out, you know, on social medias and the public eye and doesn't
- 1:33:32really speak high praise of The Jets organization.
- 1:33:35He does speak very high on their new coach and I give him a lot
- 1:33:39of credit for that because he likes the fact that The Jets
- 1:33:41have put a guy in place that actually was a Jet.
- 1:33:44I just think you're overpaying a guy that really has not done it
- 1:33:48yet. He made that unbelievable catch
- 1:33:50last year, but nothing tells me that this guy is a top five wide
- 1:33:55receiver until he don't think he's proved it.
- 1:33:57No, he hasn't. He doesn't have top.
- 1:33:59Five wide receiver numbers, he doesn't even have top ten wide
- 1:34:02receiver numbers. And that to me scares me when
- 1:34:05you're giving a guy the third highest contract in NFL history,
- 1:34:10a wide receiver, money like that and $90,000,000 guaranteed
- 1:34:13almost $100 million in a four year span.
- 1:34:16I think they're overpaying and I think they're really reaching.
- 1:34:18What happens if it goes down this year?
- 1:34:20What happens if he tears this ACL or his Achilles?
- 1:34:22What are they going to do with that contract?
- 1:34:24How are they going to kind of swing that as a jet, as a jet
- 1:34:27fan has gone out there and attacked the Muhammad Wilkins
- 1:34:30signing? Remember that Muhammad Wilkerson
- 1:34:32had one good. That was a tough year he got.
- 1:34:35A good year. He had his best year.
- 1:34:37He had what, 11 or 12 sacks and he was complaining.
- 1:34:40I know Joe Beningo was going out there and crying about it.
- 1:34:42Oh, it hurts. You better sign that guy or I'm
- 1:34:45never going to be a Jet fan. Well, they signed him, gave him
- 1:34:47$80 million and 40 something, $1,000,000 guaranteed.
- 1:34:50How did that contract work out? Well, the year, that year that
- 1:34:53he got that contract, he I think he was Labrom or whatever, his
- 1:34:57leg, he broke his leg and he he was never the same player.
- 1:34:59I got it, Tommy, I got it. The fact is, I know, I know the
- 1:35:04situation for what The Jets are. And I, I've I've come to the
- 1:35:07conclusion that The Jets are an organization that really doesn't
- 1:35:10know what they're doing. Now, I'm not going to take shots
- 1:35:12at the GM because I still want to see what this GM is going to
- 1:35:15do with when it called instead the big picture.
- 1:35:18But so far this move makes no sense.
- 1:35:20I would have waited a year. See what him and Justin Fields
- 1:35:23puts up before you pay him this kind of money.
- 1:35:26I think it's going to come back and bite the New York Jets.
- 1:35:28So my golf clap of the day goes to the stupidity of the New York
- 1:35:32Jets. So good for them.
- 1:35:35It was stupid. It's a dumb move.
- 1:35:36I listen, I'm a Jet fan. I know Jet fans are not going to
- 1:35:39like to take. Just look at the numbers.
- 1:35:41The numbers don't lie and it doesn't make any sense.
- 1:35:43So anyways, I'm done talking about The Jets until the season
- 1:35:47starts or OTA start, which is about a week away.
- 1:35:50And then I'll, I'll do my complaining.
- 1:35:52By the way, I've been watching Jets saw OneDrive and Justin, I
- 1:35:55like Justin Fields. I like his personality.
- 1:35:58I, I love the coach. I love everything that's going
- 1:36:00on with the New York Jets. I, I think this was a reach.
- 1:36:03This is a big reach for The Jets and it might cost them.
- 1:36:07It might, I might come back and haunt them.
- 1:36:08So we'll see. I hope it doesn't.
- 1:36:10Hopefully he puts up those numbers, but it scares me.
- 1:36:13We're going to go right to sound it out.
- 1:36:15Take roll here. Jake Quelen.
- 1:36:16Who's Jake Quelenette? No.
- 1:36:17Jake Quelen here. Do you mean Jacqueline?
- 1:36:20Let's. Sound it out what you call me.
- 1:36:22Sound it. Out.
- 1:36:24Let's get. The music on for you, for
- 1:36:25everyone's. Favorite game?
- 1:36:27Sound it out. Phonic shamanics.
- 1:36:29Errol's got it now, Errol, I decided to pick names that I've
- 1:36:33heard you mispronounce repeatedly on the show.
- 1:36:38Errol. This is the name.
- 1:36:40He is the AL All Star starter. Sound it.
- 1:36:47Out. I'm going to go Tarek Scubal.
- 1:36:52There it is. I got it right.
- 1:36:53That is correct. You've pronounced him Tariq
- 1:36:56Screwball like he's throwing a screwball for, I think the
- 1:37:01entire. Time I've been on.
- 1:37:02The show kind of looks like a Tariq I.
- 1:37:04Mean Tariq. He looks like a Tariq.
- 1:37:07It would be like AI mean you could say I see how you could
- 1:37:10get that, but Scubal from Scubal.
- 1:37:14I don't know that part, but you did get it this time.
- 1:37:16The next one play with my paper is another.
- 1:37:19Name that you've said. Tonight that you just never seem
- 1:37:23to get right. He's a former All Star pitched
- 1:37:26for the San Francisco Giants. Errol, I've never heard you say
- 1:37:30this name correctly. Sound it out, Tim.
- 1:37:36Vincentsum. Lick it some, lick it some.
- 1:37:42Lick it some. That is incorrect Java.
- 1:37:46Let him know, Linsicum. Linsicum.
- 1:37:51Linsicum wants to come. Let's go.
- 1:37:55Let's go. Next.
- 1:37:57One all right. This.
- 1:37:58Is an all. Star this.
- 1:38:00Year Errol, he was added. As a late replacement.
- 1:38:04He's a relief pitcher. Sound it.
- 1:38:08Out. Adrian.
- 1:38:11Moran more John No. I was hoping you were going to
- 1:38:19say moron. But it's actually Morehone,
- 1:38:24Adrian Morehone, Morehone Errol. One for three ain't bad.
- 1:38:31Good enough to make the All Star team Onsen nights sounded out
- 1:38:36Droba. I told you I'm going to punch
- 1:38:42you in the face as you know anybody that knows me I I I
- 1:38:50don't mind it. I don't mind it.
- 1:38:51So it's one of my favorites. So anyways, yeah, that was
- 1:38:55sounded out ladies and gentlemen anyways, let's go to our sports
- 1:38:57minutes. We got to go.
- 1:39:00This is. The.
- 1:39:01Jabba. And the.
- 1:39:02Mouth Sportsman ads. All right, guys.
- 1:39:06Aaron. Fishman here with your
- 1:39:07sportsman. It got a few stories for you
- 1:39:10before we get into some scores. Well, actually, no scores.
- 1:39:13We'll talk about the Home Run Derby.
- 1:39:15But first, the Yankees are holding their collective breaths
- 1:39:18after ace pitcher Max Freed was lifted from Saturday's game
- 1:39:22after struggling through three innings due to issues with a
- 1:39:24blister on the index finger of his pitching hand.
- 1:39:27It's just a blister, Boone said on Sunday.
- 1:39:29So he'll be kind of leaning into all the modalities and all the
- 1:39:32tricks that you try and do to deal with blisters.
- 1:39:35Then we'll see how it lines up for what we want to line them up
- 1:39:38coming out of the break based on how that's recovered.
- 1:39:42Every case, its own thing for each, said Saturday.
- 1:39:44Definitely didn't want to do too much where I wanted to catch it,
- 1:39:47hopefully before it became real big, like it became a real big,
- 1:39:50big deal. It definitely was uncomfortable
- 1:39:53enough to the point where I didn't want to risk more and it
- 1:39:56was going to affect my pitches. So yeah, just the next couple of
- 1:39:59days are going to be big and just being able to evaluate how
- 1:40:02long I need. The Yankees are hopeful of Freed
- 1:40:05not having to go on the IL, but at least they have the fortune
- 1:40:08of good timing, as Freed was already scheduled to skip the
- 1:40:10All Star Game. And we'll have a chance to give
- 1:40:12the finger a little bit of a rest.
- 1:40:14Marie has suffered from blister issues in multiple.
- 1:40:16Times. In his career and the Yankees
- 1:40:17are hopeful he has learned how to manage through them if
- 1:40:20they're going to seriously contend in the second-half of
- 1:40:23the season. Browns rookie running back
- 1:40:26Quinshawn Judkins was arrested on a domestic violence and
- 1:40:29battery charge in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on Saturday.
- 1:40:34Judkins, 21 years old, who starred in the national
- 1:40:37championship win for Ohio State University this past season, was
- 1:40:4036 pick overall in the second round of the NFL draft this
- 1:40:44year. The Browns spokesperson said the
- 1:40:46team is aware and gathering more details and the NFL as well is
- 1:40:51aware of the matter. But they will decline further
- 1:40:54comments as according to a league official that told Adam
- 1:40:58ESP NS Adam Schefter, the Browns will likely have to lean on
- 1:41:01Jerome Ford and fourth round rookie Dylan Sampson far more
- 1:41:05than expected this season after the latest news about one of the
- 1:41:08top running back prospects in this year's draft.
- 1:41:11In the arrest, officers responded to a residence at
- 1:41:14approximately 9:00 in the morning Eastern Time on Saturday
- 1:41:17on a delayed battery complaint and determined that battery had
- 1:41:20occurred, after which they contacted Judkins and took him
- 1:41:23into custody. CBS News Miami reported that the
- 1:41:26alleged incident happened last Monday but wasn't reported until
- 1:41:29Saturday. Judkins will likely face both
- 1:41:32criminal punishment and at least at the very least some sort of
- 1:41:36suspension from the NFL. And finally, the 49ers wide
- 1:41:41receiver Juan Jennings wants to get paid after his breakout 2024
- 1:41:44season. Jennings, coming off a 77 catch,
- 1:41:47975 yard and six TD season where he had only one drop, is
- 1:41:51demanding either a new contract or trade, which is a trend that
- 1:41:55started with now Steelers tight end John Smith.
- 1:41:59The 49ers would like to likely keep their Jennings on a $4.25
- 1:42:03million CAT figure for 2025, but may have their hands forced by
- 1:42:07Jennings, who is not expected to hold out in much the same way
- 1:42:10the Niners were last summer forced their hand with Brandon
- 1:42:14IU. IU, who is on the mend from the
- 1:42:16torn ACL, is due to make 25,000,000 next season.
- 1:42:20Jennings, who can make up the seven and a half million this
- 1:42:22season on his deal, wants some of that money, especially since
- 1:42:26the team moved on from Debo Samuel this offseason.
- 1:42:30Stay tuned as a reliable receiver may become available as
- 1:42:33we get into camp in the near future.

- 1:45:03Hey, I'm ugly. You're the pretty one.
- 1:45:04Well, somebody if I'm the mouth and your.
- 1:45:07Jabba, they got to figure out the prettiness.
- 1:45:09So I guess I'm the purple purple nurple.
- 1:45:12As we always said, we've had this, we've had this argument
- 1:45:15before on the show as if my superhero name was a superhero
- 1:45:20name, it would be the purple and purple.
- 1:45:22I wear a lot of purple, purple and and and Speedy would be the
- 1:45:25purple nipple because he likes to suck them.
- 1:45:27No, we didn't bring that up to him.
- 1:45:29Well, I do believe Cocka doodle Doo.
- 1:45:33Cocka Doodle Doo is definitely a sound to that and.
- 1:45:36Speaking of Cocka Doodle. Doo we call this speedy 6 pack?
- 1:45:41Let's have a sixer. Hey, who wants to play Drink the
- 1:45:45beer? It's.
- 1:45:45Time for the Speedy 6. Pack of the Week.
- 1:45:50Pass liquor so theme for this. Week is the MLB Draft.
- 1:45:55That was just yesterday there. Will be a lot of a lot of purple
- 1:45:57involved in that. That's called sex.
- 1:45:59Many different reasons for a lot of different contests.
- 1:46:02Including one that. Goody likes and Errol's paying
- 1:46:05homage to All right? I hope not.
- 1:46:08Oh, there will be. All right, so.
- 1:46:13The first. 1. As fish likes to.
- 1:46:15Allude to This makes my pecker hard.
- 1:46:17This is number six. We'll start.
- 1:46:20I got the bubble. We'll start with a team.
- 1:46:21That has some purple uniforms that probably got the most.
- 1:46:24Headlines for the draft. They're not doing much in the
- 1:46:26season, but they drafted Ethan Holiday, the Colorado Rockies at
- 1:46:29#4 the the son of Matt Holiday, who he tastes himself, in 2007,
- 1:46:35the same year that he won the home run.
- 1:46:37Derby and there's actually. Many pictures of him as a young
- 1:46:40kid that that that day. First top five pick that is the
- 1:46:43son of a former baseball player and check out these stats.
- 1:46:46A 617 batting average, A13O9 slugging percentage at 16 home
- 1:46:50runs at just 32 games. That's .5 home runs per game in
- 1:46:54his last year in high school baseball.
- 1:46:56So he is headed to the Colorado Rockies.
- 1:46:59Whoever wants to start. Any thoughts on that?
- 1:47:03It was it. It made sense to.
- 1:47:05Me, I'll let. You lick now, but after he fell
- 1:47:12to 4 the Rockies that that was their only choice is to take in
- 1:47:19and I think he's he has a better has a better better structure
- 1:47:27than Jackson. I think he does.
- 1:47:29Pulled it out of my ass. And he's bigger.
- 1:47:33He's bigger than Jackson. I'll let you lick my butt,
- 1:47:40Errol. Really.
- 1:47:43I just I just. Think his his structure and
- 1:47:46everything that he does. Like I I'd like Jackson's game,
- 1:47:54but I think Ethan is bigger than him and can actually make some
- 1:48:02sense in the game. I think Ethan, we'll see what
- 1:48:06how he turns out to be. Obviously Jackson hasn't had a
- 1:48:09good start. Now he's still very young and he
- 1:48:12will have a chance to develop in Baltimore is not an organization
- 1:48:15that usually develops players and when they do, they trade him
- 1:48:18away. I think Ethan is is in a good
- 1:48:20position where obviously he has a chance to really be better
- 1:48:25than his brother. We'll see how he develops.
- 1:48:27He's got a great background of talent.
- 1:48:30His father was a great home run hitter, great hitter, won.
- 1:48:34It was actually took a team Colorado to the to the World
- 1:48:37Series. Didn't win because they lost
- 1:48:39against Boston, but had a chance to win.
- 1:48:42And I think, you know, obviously Ethan has a tremendous amount of
- 1:48:46ability. So we'll, we'll see how it all
- 1:48:47develops and how it pans out. I think both guys are going to
- 1:48:50have a very good chance to succeed in the major leagues.
- 1:48:52Pretty surprising you fell before is is what I got out of
- 1:48:56it. I thought he was going to go #1
- 1:48:57for sure, I said. I said the same thing.
- 1:49:00I text Scott Peterson, by the way.
- 1:49:03By the way, another another Long Islander was drafted at 38.
- 1:49:07Or 39 to Detroit the catcher he was 3939 hop hog New York and
- 1:49:13he's. A catcher and has a chance.
- 1:49:14To be a pretty good one too. So I would Nobody likes living
- 1:49:17in Long Island. Nobody likes living number. #5.
- 1:49:23That's probably why that. It was surprised that.
- 1:49:25That holiday fell to the. Outside of the top 3 is.
- 1:49:28Because there was a little bit of a surprise at #1 by the
- 1:49:30Nationals. You guys mentioned it before.
- 1:49:32A new new GM taking over for Mike Rizzo smelled my.
- 1:49:36Ass. Relieved of his duties last
- 1:49:38week, but Eli Willits was the number one.
- 1:49:40Overall pick, he's the. Youngest player in the draft, 17
- 1:49:43years, seven months old. So a lot of those guys didn't
- 1:49:46even finish high school. He he reclassified.
- 1:49:50He reclassified like you said, Jabba.
- 1:49:51It was a weird circumstance, so he probably.
- 1:49:53Should have waited until the 2026 draft but decided to go in
- 1:49:57this year. He's the 4th shortstop in the
- 1:49:59last 10 years that I'm going to ask the number one pick and
- 1:50:02there'll be another one with shortstops later.
- 1:50:04You know what I don't understand?
- 1:50:05There were a lot of shortstops drafted in the Top 40.
- 1:50:08And the Yankees took one of them.
- 1:50:09Who fell to the Yankees? Actually a good one.
- 1:50:11Why are the Yankees drafting? Every single year it seems like
- 1:50:14the Yankees draft a shortstop. It's it's it doesn't make any
- 1:50:18sense. Why do they?
- 1:50:18No, because you take a shortstop that he's the best offender on
- 1:50:21his team. So you play him wherever you can
- 1:50:23after that. So if he could play shortstop at
- 1:50:25a lower level, he could play anywhere in the infield.
- 1:50:28You think maybe he's even could play center field for you.
- 1:50:30I think that just happens a lot in baseball job.
- 1:50:32But maybe you could speak to that a little bit more.
- 1:50:35No, and I agree with that. Like you know, and and.
- 1:50:39My son is a short 64200 and 15 lbs and that's just kind of like
- 1:50:47the pedigree of what it is, right?
- 1:50:49And you get these guys that are. 6566 and you know, the
- 1:50:52allegiated courses of the world and you know, as we're watching
- 1:50:56the All Star game and and and all of that stuff, it's just
- 1:50:59it's it's really like for me, like the draft is such an
- 1:51:05anomaly, right? It it because we have no idea.
- 1:51:08Like we didn't expect those those first two picks.
- 1:51:13I'm going to tell you right now you can talk to anybody that.
- 1:51:15Knows the game of baseball. We wouldn't expect Kai Willis to
- 1:51:20go 1 and. Bremer and Bremner go.
- 1:51:22To two fatty kick at it at it out of fucking Santa Barbara in
- 1:51:28the big W to go over. Kate Anderson.
- 1:51:33Like, no chance. Like a hole.
- 1:51:35There's no way. There's no way.
- 1:51:38Now Jabba, he wasn't in. He was not in my.
- 1:51:41The number two pick was. Not in my 6 pack but I was
- 1:51:44seeing him breaking news. One of the biggest reaches and
- 1:51:47you didn't. Speedy, you're telling.
- 1:51:50Me Bremner. Was in your top ten?
- 1:51:51No, no, I'm I, I. No, I was reading about him.
- 1:51:54He was in the fifth. He was.
- 1:51:56Like a 15th ranked guy not at #10.
- 1:51:58I saw 18. For Bremner, I hope not
- 1:52:01commonly. Was it that like, was it that
- 1:52:03drastic of a reach from what you've heard about him, Jabba
- 1:52:06like? Yeah, it it, I think it's.
- 1:52:10I don't know. What they were looking at from
- 1:52:13their side of like the draft part of it enjoy.
- 1:52:17But when when I look at it and I know the draft is such an
- 1:52:23anomaly, let's. Not.
- 1:52:25But if I have an opportunity to take Kate Anderson.
- 1:52:28Out of the. SEC.
- 1:52:30Where he's faced that talent. If you're not going to take
- 1:52:33Smith, Hernandez that you're, it's a projectable arm, right?
- 1:52:36It's a projector arm and you're taking Bremner out of the big
- 1:52:40WI. Don't.
- 1:52:41Care you. Had literally better.
- 1:52:45Choices. Yeah, I'm not one to judge as
- 1:52:48much. Would you not have taken him?
- 1:52:50No, I think. Kate and everything.
- 1:52:52I was hearing was supposed to be that guy.
- 1:52:54I'm not as bullish on the conferences as much with like
- 1:52:58being a judgement of like this is the talent you face because
- 1:53:01we've talked about all the time in football too.
- 1:53:03How many quarterbacks that have played in weaker competition
- 1:53:05have still done well in the NFL. But right as much as everything
- 1:53:09I was hearing about Kate and I'm going to get to him in a bit is
- 1:53:12he was the shirt fire best pitcher.
- 1:53:15What a three it just it it blew my.
- 1:53:17Mind like those? 1st 2 picks.
- 1:53:20It was crazy. I wouldn't piss on him if he was
- 1:53:22on fire. No #4 So here's where I'll go to
- 1:53:26Kate. It was an easy.
- 1:53:27Transition enough, He's the number.
- 1:53:28Three overall pick going to the Seattle.
- 1:53:29Mariners, we seem to I got to go back off now early in the draft
- 1:53:32too. They the one year they drafted a
- 1:53:34good. Catcher, but seems like they
- 1:53:35always. Draft a lot of pitchers too.
- 1:53:36One of them just came up this year and Emerson Hancock, who
- 1:53:38was a top five pick and he's kind of that six fringe guy in
- 1:53:41their rotation, but they draft another one in Kate Anderson
- 1:53:44Java. Check out these stats. 35 walks
- 1:53:47to 180 strikeouts. That's like 6 times the amount
- 1:53:50walk to strikeout ratio. And here this we're talking
- 1:53:53about strikeout per nine innings earlier 13.9 in 2024 and last
- 1:53:58year 13.6. Just true insanity.
- 1:54:01Obviously putting up the numbers.
- 1:54:02He did in the College World Series as well, leading LSU as
- 1:54:05Goody loves that. And Errol told him wearing the
- 1:54:08Goodwood jersey. Yes, I'm wearing the Goodwood
- 1:54:10jersey. And.
- 1:54:11Again, we're we're talking about prospects.
- 1:54:14We don't know what these guys are going to turn out to be and
- 1:54:17obviously the development of where they go, it's all
- 1:54:20depending on what organization they go to.
- 1:54:22There are certain organizations you don't want to go to, AKA the
- 1:54:26Athletics that you know, they bring up players, some of them,
- 1:54:30very few of them transition into any good or any decent players,
- 1:54:34pitchers, but most of them are just absolutely do do they're
- 1:54:37crap. As.
- 1:54:39As we've seen over the years, there are organizations like the
- 1:54:41Angels, another organization that don't, The last guy that
- 1:54:45they really brought up there turned into anything was Mike
- 1:54:47Trout. I mean, they just don't, they
- 1:54:49don't know how to draft. So it, it really Detroit's been
- 1:54:52really the, the organization you want to look at and you want to
- 1:54:55play for because they have developed very, very well.
- 1:54:58Seattle also another organization that develops
- 1:55:00Cleveland over the years developed players.
- 1:55:03So that's what you want to see. So, and then there's up and
- 1:55:06coming company, you know, play places like Cincinnati that look
- 1:55:09like they're, they're getting jump started over the last 2-3
- 1:55:13years. So the Yankees are always been
- 1:55:15an organization where you want to go.
- 1:55:17And even though they're another organization that doesn't
- 1:55:20develop very well, they're a good organization because
- 1:55:23there's most known and they're very respected not only in
- 1:55:27professional baseball, but professional boys.
- 1:55:29Yeah, you mentioned the Seattle. Seattle Mariners done a great
- 1:55:31job developing pitching recently.
- 1:55:33As well, like I said, a lot of high draft picks and Cincinnati
- 1:55:36another one. Cincinnati and other I love Lisa
- 1:55:38Anne flew under the radar for. A while he was.
- 1:55:40Not a big name prospect he's having.
- 1:55:41A tremendous year. There was no hitting the Yankees
- 1:55:43for a couple of while last week, but having a great year through
- 1:55:467 innings. 7 innings. Yeah, breaking news I need.
- 1:55:50Brittany, Also Cincinnati. Another one that I think.
- 1:55:52Has been unlucky with injuries in Detroit like I was mentioning
- 1:55:55if. They didn't get so unlucky with
- 1:55:56a lot of injuries in the beginning of this.
- 1:55:58This farm system might have happened two years even earlier.
- 1:56:01Being this good, You think, you'd think it would have been
- 1:56:04earlier than that because. They had Casey.
- 1:56:07Mize was he was stopped back by. Injuries.
- 1:56:10He's very good now. Matt Manning was another one
- 1:56:13that was good for the beginning of his career.
- 1:56:14I think he had multiple Tommy John surgeries, and they had a
- 1:56:16lot, yeah. So I think they could have been
- 1:56:20this. Good.
- 1:56:21Like what? The 2024.
- 1:56:22Version of them probably could have been that in 2022 there's a
- 1:56:25lot faster if it wasn't. They had a lot of prospects that
- 1:56:28were really unlucky with injuries.
- 1:56:29Not that. Not that other organizations
- 1:56:30don't put a lot of good ones with that.
- 1:56:34All right #3 All right, let's. Shift to the local local teams.
- 1:56:37So the Yankees first round I am. A legend.
- 1:56:39Dax. The first pick they made.
- 1:56:41Dax Kilby. This is a stat that.
- 1:56:43Actually was a high percentage among draft prospects this year.
- 1:56:46He has his 60 foot speed. So running base to base was in
- 1:56:50the 99th percentile among all draft picks this year, which
- 1:56:54Java like you're talking about maybe a lot of short stops get
- 1:56:56drafted early with the speed that they have.
- 1:56:58They were surprised he fell the way that he did.
- 1:57:00Yeah. And I guess you're maybe
- 1:57:02thinking that. Kind of thing, because that's
- 1:57:03the draft. That's a draft and we're seeing
- 1:57:06more often. With maybe even infielders
- 1:57:09converting to. Center.
- 1:57:09Some of the experiments don't work.
- 1:57:11Do you know what they compare him to His.
- 1:57:13His skill is Jacobi Gilsbury now hopefully.
- 1:57:17He plays more consistent than Jacoby Ellsbury.
- 1:57:19Jacoby Ellsbury was also a center fielder.
- 1:57:22This kids a shortstop, but his bat speed, his ability to run
- 1:57:26the things that he does very, very well on a baseball field,
- 1:57:29they compare his skill to Jacoby Ellsbury.
- 1:57:31Now, Jacoby was a really good player early in his career until
- 1:57:35he came to the Yankees. Then he completely fell flat on
- 1:57:38his face. So I'm hoping that he's a Jacoby
- 1:57:41Ellsbury type of player, but they're saying that the he was,
- 1:57:46he should have been at the late teens, early 20s and he fell all
- 1:57:50the way to the Yankees in the 30s.
- 1:57:51So very surprised. And the Mets passed up on him,
- 1:57:53which I was surprised too. So I I didn't get why the Mets
- 1:57:59passed on him. I didn't get that, that didn't
- 1:58:02that didn't make. Sense to me like and.
- 1:58:05I understand like a draft and and understand like when he was
- 1:58:09going through free agency, because that was a year in 2012
- 1:58:13when, you know, burger man was going for the Tribble crown and
- 1:58:17NVP and all that stuff. And what, what he had like 330.
- 1:58:22It was like 3031 or 32. Homer 33 maybe, but he was like
- 1:58:32a. Different bird?
- 1:58:33Well. We found out why.
- 1:58:35He was a different bird. You said a different bird and I
- 1:58:38saw Jurassic Spark yesterday by the.
- 1:58:40Way he. Was, but he was.
- 1:58:43He was somebody. I was never scared.
- 1:58:44Of. Like because.
- 1:58:46I knew. He had he had one year where he
- 1:58:50was good bagel he was he. Was salvageable through.
- 1:58:58His other years right, I have no I never I never worried about
- 1:59:02that guy like I. Didn't like.
- 1:59:04I knew when I faced him I was like, I'm good, Like I'm gonna
- 1:59:08throw a fastball away. Probably he tasted some.
- 1:59:11There. Good.
- 1:59:13He wasn't Adam Lind. You never had to worry.
- 1:59:15Oh no. As soon as I it was like, oh
- 1:59:18shit, we're. We're faking Adam Lind.
- 1:59:20No, I'm out. Like don't put me in against
- 1:59:23that guy cuz he's probably gonna hit home.
- 1:59:25He's probably getting a home run or stick his stomach up his
- 1:59:27head. What would happen if we ended up
- 1:59:29getting? Adam Lind on this show I got you
- 1:59:30a double his career stats. On you Oh 100% like and Lind's
- 1:59:35such a great dude like. And I'm, I'm actually, I'll
- 1:59:39reach out to him, OK, because I love when we have this
- 1:59:43conversation. On their shows I had to take.
- 1:59:45A shit of like guys like Lynn would literally like I tried to
- 1:59:50backdoor a curveball to him and he three.
- 1:59:52I gave up the birdie there three round Homer off me and I'm like
- 1:59:56I go. I tried to do the best I could.
- 1:59:58He likes the backdoor everybody as we all know, but he like he
- 2:00:02just. Knew like he owned me, he owned
- 2:00:04me. He owned them back door wise and
- 2:00:07I was like, you know what, I'm sorry.
- 2:00:10Sorry, I'm like. Please take me off this take him
- 2:00:13back door. Gave up the booty, you know.
- 2:00:17All that stuff, 100% number two. All right #2 we'll shift to the
- 2:00:21Mets. He they passed up.
- 2:00:23On Kilby to draft. Mitch voice again.
- 2:00:25I don't understand it OK yes the ghost 38 overall they.
- 2:00:29Allegedly A2 way player his. First three years at first year
- 2:00:33at Wisconsin and then the last two years at Michigan.
- 2:00:35Instead he should have been in the 50s or 60s but did not pitch
- 2:00:39this. Last year, so that was supposed
- 2:00:41to drop his. Value.
- 2:00:42But they took him as a pitcher, right?
- 2:00:43They took they, they took him. Allegedly to try to redevelop.
- 2:00:47His pitching, they say they're going to do that.
- 2:00:50I don't know how much I wouldn't trust that.
- 2:00:52That's what they're going for is they're hoping that he can hit
- 2:00:55like a Jacob degrom to be that kind of hit.
- 2:00:57But the odds of that are not happy now.
- 2:00:59Degrom was not a high prospect either.
- 2:01:00Montero and Matt Harvey got a little hype at that time and
- 2:01:05obviously that didn't pan out, but here's one step for him.
- 2:01:07He has 93 percentage exit velocity to hit out of the
- 2:01:11infield, which means he he succeeds on a lot of his line
- 2:01:13drive, hit singles and double S Stop selling something that
- 2:01:16nobody gives a crap about. The fact is the.
- 2:01:19Mets should never have passed up on the shortstop.
- 2:01:22They they had a chance to get him.
- 2:01:23This guy fell as as he he did in the draft.
- 2:01:27You draft the best guy on the board.
- 2:01:29That's baseball. You don't know what these guys
- 2:01:31are going to turn out to be. This guy might turn out to be a
- 2:01:33sensational pitcher, but you get the best and the most important
- 2:01:37piece to the puzzle. And this guys a shortstop who
- 2:01:40could steal bases it for average has an unbelievable swing.
- 2:01:44That's the way the Mets should have went pitching.
- 2:01:47You're reaching at the pitching position and this guy, you don't
- 2:01:50even know if he's going to be a pitcher.
- 2:01:52He could actually play in the field.
- 2:01:54He could fall, you know, he could fall off the grid.
- 2:01:57I, I think this is reaching. Bad move for the New York Mets.
- 2:02:00Made no sense. The Mets have had a lot of
- 2:02:03trouble developing homegrown position players.
- 2:02:05It's been a big problem. For over a decade, like OK, so
- 2:02:10let me let me ask both of you, where did where do you think?
- 2:02:12To like in obviously being a part of it, but where do you
- 2:02:17think that like where? They can't develop.
- 2:02:21Them Is it communication? Is it this?
- 2:02:26Them like having. More sumptuous expectations of
- 2:02:31what they are they do to why why don't they do that statistics.
- 2:02:35There is a level of hype that I. Think a lot of the Mets.
- 2:02:37Prospects when in the. In the field have had because
- 2:02:40they're always, always developing.
- 2:02:41The young pitching was always their strength and throughout
- 2:02:43their history they've developed good pitching, but they're
- 2:02:46position players. That's you.
- 2:02:48You said statistics, Errol. And and Speedy just being smart
- 2:02:54as he is in the game. Why is there not more feel of?
- 2:02:59How the guys pitch. Like or how they go about their
- 2:03:03things because my spin rate wasn't great.
- 2:03:10Why did I play 11 years in the big leagues?
- 2:03:12Because you liked it in the back.
- 2:03:13I knew how to get people out. I knew how to get people out.
- 2:03:16That's. A level of and there.
- 2:03:17Was there was eyes on? There was eyes on it.
- 2:03:20So that's I'll let you lick. My butt.
- 2:03:22There's a level of smart pitching and that's the thing.
- 2:03:24I've always taken shots of Noah Syndergaard.
- 2:03:26For because Noah Syndergaard had five pitches and only used two
- 2:03:29of them much of his career, the last three years of his career,
- 2:03:31and that's I think more on him than it is the Mets actual
- 2:03:34player development type thing. I think that's more on
- 2:03:36Syndergaard as a player himself. But no.
- 2:03:38But at the same time too, you can't say it's only on.
- 2:03:41Us as a player, no, not every circumstance, but why wouldn't
- 2:03:46you be like? Go do.
- 2:03:48Like go, go and do you're the best because we drafted you in
- 2:03:53this situation, right? Right.
- 2:03:55I'm saying more, but why wouldn't you pitch with what you
- 2:03:58have? And only use a.
- 2:04:00Certain, and I don't. I don't need your velocity, spin
- 2:04:06rate, all the other shit. I could give two damn shits
- 2:04:12about anything you give. Me outs.
- 2:04:16And you show it. I can stand in front of fish,
- 2:04:19hold it out. I can stand in front of the
- 2:04:22arrow if we're playing in a baseball game.
- 2:04:26Get out. That's what I want to
- 2:04:29differentiate. With the pitching.
- 2:04:31Development. And the way the Mets have done
- 2:04:33it with their hitting, I think a lot of times they've done it
- 2:04:35with their hitting. They've tried to.
- 2:04:37Put them in circumstances because they've been a bad team
- 2:04:38for a while, that they're kind of being the face of the
- 2:04:41franchise right away. A lot of pressure.
- 2:04:43It's too much with statistics. I I think that's what the Mets
- 2:04:45are doing. They they.
- 2:04:47Brought in a new owner and they're using.
- 2:04:51They're using the analytics. To think that this guy is
- 2:04:54they're. Going to be able to change him
- 2:04:55by using all the analytics and all the opportunities that they
- 2:04:59have with statistics that they have.
- 2:05:00They have all these mathematical guys as, as Cohen has really put
- 2:05:04it together over the last couple years and maybe it's worked, but
- 2:05:07I think you're reaching with these statistics and you don't
- 2:05:09know what these guys are going to really transition into.
- 2:05:13I, I, I, I agree with you 100. Percent like and I.
- 2:05:17I love the fact of like, there's like and we've talked about
- 2:05:22there is such an Ave. for analytics, but there's also an
- 2:05:27eye on the game, right? Remember when Snell was playing
- 2:05:34for the Rays and they took him out in the sixth inning because
- 2:05:38he had 90 was like 90, some bitches and they lost the game.
- 2:05:44Like have a feel for the game. Like have a feel for what you
- 2:05:48see. Like I sucked on paper.
- 2:05:53I was terrible. That's why they.
- 2:05:56That's why they liked Philip Hughes.
- 2:05:58They didn't like Jabba. They wanted.
- 2:05:59Philip Hughes, Ian Kennedy. They were like, screw this guy,
- 2:06:02this fat guy from Nebraska who we drafted in the first round.
- 2:06:06You know, they wanted the Phil. They wanted the you baby.
- 2:06:09They wanted the you baby. It was before me, though.
- 2:06:12He was a cry. Yeah, well, I know.
- 2:06:14And he was. A crybaby, he.
- 2:06:16He definitely did a lot of that too.
- 2:06:18So I love Phil. He is definitely soft.
- 2:06:22I like anal. And #1 you guys kind of touched.
- 2:06:25It on it earlier, so it was a record.
- 2:06:27Setting. First round for the shortstop.
- 2:06:29Position 15 out of the 32 first round picks were shortstop,
- 2:06:33which is the most in MLB history.
- 2:06:34It broke the record by 411 were drafted in 2023.
- 2:06:38So what are the what are the I know you mentioned the
- 2:06:40athleticism, the speed, like you think that's the main reason for
- 2:06:43the circumstances. Shortstop is the hardest
- 2:06:45position to play in professional baseball.
- 2:06:48It is. You're a.
- 2:06:49You're a absolute, absolute bull.
- 2:06:52Taste life. And that and that's why, that's
- 2:06:54why because you could transition a shortstop.
- 2:06:56To the outfield, because he's a great yes.
- 2:06:59Because yes, I I believe the shortstop, you're saying that's
- 2:07:02the hardest position, hardest defensively?
- 2:07:04Yes, it's the hardest defensively to play.
- 2:07:06And I I. So you're selling every catcher
- 2:07:09out? What Every?
- 2:07:11That's the hardest position, no? I understand.
- 2:07:14What you're going? To say because he's the coaches
- 2:07:16ear and he's the coaches. Eye.
- 2:07:18But the hardest defensive position, the hardest defensive
- 2:07:21position is that's the best. I think the shortstop is the
- 2:07:25best athlete. And.
- 2:07:26I'm agreeing with you, but that's why.
- 2:07:30Because you can. Transition, but that's what I'm
- 2:07:32saying. You.
- 2:07:33Could transition a shortstop to another position and these guys
- 2:07:37that we've seen that was drafted this year or all guys that have
- 2:07:40very good strengths and and less weaknesses.
- 2:07:43That's why if you look at the short stops in this year's draft
- 2:07:46now, this is not what a cutthroat draft.
- 2:07:48I mean they were like 3 good players in this draft and watch
- 2:07:51maybe one of them actually turns out to be a star.
- 2:07:54What I'm trying to say is these, there's more Sharks, shortstops
- 2:07:57that were drafted this year because there are a lot of
- 2:08:00athletes. Look at the Yankees.
- 2:08:01Look at the kid that they drafted.
- 2:08:02He fell all the way to them and he should have been drafted in
- 2:08:06the higher teens. He was a Volpe.
- 2:08:09Volpe was drafted, what, 19? I think he was 19th in the draft
- 2:08:12or 18th. He was supposed to be.
- 2:08:15Was it 21? I don't even know.
- 2:08:18I thought it was 19 or 18 where he was.
- 2:08:21Drafted, maybe even less. But that's where I 30th pick.
- 2:08:26In 2019 all. Right.
- 2:08:27So, so, so I heard that this kid should have been 1819.
- 2:08:33Somewhere in the late teens, I was drafted.
- 2:08:35Why he fell off, nobody knows. Even when, when when I was
- 2:08:39watching it, I was in Miller's air house and I was listening to
- 2:08:42them then nobody knew what he felt.
- 2:08:43They said I had a degenerative knee.
- 2:08:45I had. Bone replacement surgery when I
- 2:08:47was a sophomore in college and I was in the big leagues in 2 1/2
- 2:08:52months. And they're like, what did we
- 2:08:54miss? What did we miss?
- 2:08:57I'm like, I don't, I don't know. This kid's from Georgia.
- 2:09:00Too so I. Remember, he came from Georgia,
- 2:09:02so and those. And usually good joy, you know,
- 2:09:04good Atlanta guy. Kids baseball players that come
- 2:09:07from Atlanta are pretty damn good.
- 2:09:08So maybe the Yankees got it right.
- 2:09:10Maybe they hit gold like getting him and him falling.
- 2:09:13The Mets were absolutely stupid not drafting this guy.
- 2:09:16It made me no sense. He could be.
- 2:09:18He could be a me for sure. 100% all.
- 2:09:21Right, here we go. All right, Josh, I.
- 2:09:24Want to read his comment? Only one.
- 2:09:26Number one. In the history is in the Hall of
- 2:09:27Fame drafted baseball is always a crap shoot 17 year old.
- 2:09:30Yeah. I think it was just surprising
- 2:09:31like that young for the national.
- 2:09:32Was that Griffey number one over?
- 2:09:34I'm assuming he's Griffey. Yeah, it's Griffey, isn't it?
- 2:09:39He was 17 years old when he was. Drafted.
- 2:09:41So. So I can comment here I guess
- 2:09:45the tune jive for jazz and the. Dervish how many you end up.
- 2:09:47Finishing with no three. There was only three.
- 2:09:51It was terrible, dude. Nobody.
- 2:09:53Thought that jizzy? Jizzy was.
- 2:09:54Going to win, including. Yours truly, and yes, Josh, it
- 2:09:58was Griffey. It was plus 600I Griffey and
- 2:10:01$0.80. You got to put money on.
- 2:10:02I wasn't. Wasting my money or my time.
- 2:10:04Hey fish, you know what's crazy? So Mike Harkey, who's still.
- 2:10:08The bullpen coach he was in that same draft, Cal State Fullerton,
- 2:10:13he was supposed to go number one overall with Griffey, did a.
- 2:10:20Backflip. In blue Lulu, that's terrible.
- 2:10:26He was a. He was a.
- 2:10:27Gymnast. His son.
- 2:10:28Played back out. His son played for the Saint
- 2:10:31Louis Rams. And he?
- 2:10:34Is one of my favorite, one of my favorite people in the world.
- 2:10:38Who is this? Who is the football player?
- 2:10:40Harkey, you said? Yeah, Mike Harkey that.
- 2:10:44Was a sudden plate. No, it's a honky speedy.
- 2:10:49Yeah, some plays for the Rams. Something plays for the Rams.
- 2:10:52Somebody needs the honk, right? Speedy.
- 2:10:54It's gross. I.
- 2:10:56Don't know. If a car, a car horn honking has
- 2:10:59a smell, but OK, disturbing the Yeah, Corey Corey's his son.
- 2:11:09All right, ladies and gentlemen. We might as well get into King
- 2:11:12of the Hill. And here's the King of the Hill.
- 2:11:16This, Bobby, is the. Beltline you never ever hit
- 2:11:20below that not. That kind of king of the hill,
- 2:11:22you dumb ready are. You ready?
- 2:11:24This is King of the Hill. Yeah.
- 2:11:27Because the word jizz is really. Structured.
- 2:11:31Not structured enough for jazz, apparently.
- 2:11:33Let's get the music on. For King.
- 2:11:37Of the hill. Let's get Aaron in here on this
- 2:11:40one. Get in here Aaron.
- 2:11:43I will play as well. I don't.
- 2:11:45Know how good my? Graphics are going to be
- 2:11:47tonight. I don't know what we're doing
- 2:11:49MLB right, but we're going to stay in baseball considering.
- 2:11:52It's the only sport going on right now.
- 2:11:54We will go with the peasant fight.
- 2:11:57So again we will all take on Errol.
- 2:11:59Errol is our reigning king. Our tired king is this tired
- 2:12:02king. The king is week.
- 2:12:04I will be playing as well since we only have three contestants
- 2:12:07so it'll be 4 contestants like always.
- 2:12:08Peasant fight is the first round 99 best power hitters since the
- 2:12:14year 2000. So again has to be since the
- 2:12:19year 2000. Could it be a guy that played
- 2:12:21before that? But we're really trying to focus
- 2:12:23on 2000 forwards, not someone who did a lot in the 90s.
- 2:12:27No, these are these are the only competitors everyone else asked
- 2:12:29out. So here we go.
- 2:12:32I'll go last. We'll start down at the bottom
- 2:12:36with Aaron, then Speedy and job and I'll go end the round and go
- 2:12:40bet for two Aaron. All right, off the top of my
- 2:12:44head, which is the power hitters?
- 2:12:46Jason Giambi. I mean, look, but it was before
- 2:12:48my time. But one of those I look, it's
- 2:12:51the one that came straight to my head.
- 2:12:52I'm going to go with Jason Giambi with my first one.
- 2:12:54Not a crazy one, but I'm going to stick with him.
- 2:12:56Keep a look, Speedy. All right, I'll steal the
- 2:12:59obvious one. Why not Barry?
- 2:13:00Bonds 73 home run. Season Jason Giambi.
- 2:13:02Seven O 62 We set record in 2007.
- 2:13:07And obviously. Breaking Hank Aaron's record,
- 2:13:09who was 755 and still extended it even to that day.
- 2:13:12He probably hit more home runs in the decade that a lot of the
- 2:13:15guys did in their career. And obviously that season was
- 2:13:17the biggest one we're still seeing if anyone can catch.
- 2:13:20So Barry Bonds, obvious one here, Jabba, I'm going to be.
- 2:13:26An asshole. I got to take Aaron.
- 2:13:29Judge have to in the end. Why is that being an ass and.
- 2:13:38You know. Obviously doing what he has done
- 2:13:43in the amount of time that he's done, coming up late in his
- 2:13:47career and not being like a real like first round draft pick,
- 2:13:53like being to the forefront. Of everything, it took him a
- 2:14:00while. And to see him like, and I'm not
- 2:14:05sold on him. His numbers are sold on.
- 2:14:10The self I. I'm I'm still not.
- 2:14:14I'm not sold. On them yet?
- 2:14:16I'm really not. But he's he's, he's, he's in the
- 2:14:20conversation. He's in this conversation.
- 2:14:24All right, I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 2:14:26Well, I'll take guys whose numbers.
- 2:14:28I am sold on. I'll start with Albert Pujols,
- 2:14:30because. Albert Pujols had a 10 year
- 2:14:32stretch the 1st 10 years of his career.
- 2:14:33Damn it you took mine that he's a big hole dominated.
- 2:14:37He's got I believe. More.
- 2:14:40Home runs than all but. 5. Players ever good for me, so I
- 2:14:44would take Albert Pujols. He was also a 300 hitter for the
- 2:14:48first half of his career. He was absolutely unstoppable.
- 2:14:51The second guy I'm going to take killed me as a Yankees fan for a
- 2:14:54long time. I'm talking about.
- 2:14:56Oh, I know who you're going. Yeah, Big Poppy has to be
- 2:14:58mentioned if you're going to talk about guys from.
- 2:14:59Since 2000. Man, my dad, my dad's favorite
- 2:15:03player. If are you a me tender?
- 2:15:05If you can serve it up. Say you have an advantage over
- 2:15:09Mariano Rivera. You're an elite few company, big
- 2:15:13poppy Java who did steroids by the way, just so you know well.
- 2:15:19Never. Never was charged for it.
- 2:15:21That wasn't part of the criteria.
- 2:15:23On this list it should have been.
- 2:15:26All right, back to Jabba. I'm.
- 2:15:29I'm going to go. Miggy.
- 2:15:32Miggy for. Me.
- 2:15:35Was one of the hardest hitters I've.
- 2:15:36Ever had to get out and to hit over 500 homers and to hit over
- 2:15:44300? Not only was it homers, you get
- 2:15:48it. You gap to gap.
- 2:15:51He played third base, he played. First base.
- 2:15:55Miguel Cabrera is in that conversation of, in this realm,
- 2:16:03top ten of everything that he's. Done.
- 2:16:06Was he not great? Defensively, no, he was
- 2:16:10serviceable. But when you faced him at the
- 2:16:14plate, it was different. It was different.
- 2:16:19Speedy. All right, I'll go to home.
- 2:16:22Major. Your point?
- 2:16:22Fishing. Other guy on the Red Sox?
- 2:16:24Manny. Ramirez had 55051I believe
- 2:16:27career home runs and one of the best playoff hitters as well
- 2:16:31when they came into the home runs.
- 2:16:32Did it with the Red Sox for a very long time helping him break
- 2:16:34the curse along with like you said, obviously his Dodger's
- 2:16:38tenure wasn't as good but still in some productive season still
- 2:16:40was able to get over 550 career home runs.
- 2:16:43Yeah, there's always going to be steroid questions with him, too.
- 2:16:49Can't go wrong with having to take Manny Ramirez, Aaron for
- 2:16:52two. So my first pick I'm.
- 2:16:53Going to go with a. Rod, I mean, look, I.
- 2:16:55You could say. Almost 700 home runs, Aaron.
- 2:16:59I knew you were going to do a Yankee.
- 2:17:00I knew you were. I have.
- 2:17:01I had. To I had to and.
- 2:17:03Well, obviously a rod is. It's unspoken.
- 2:17:05Then obviously I'm going to go with someone I obviously watch
- 2:17:08now with another Yankee Stan. Look, I mean, get to meet a lot
- 2:17:13of Donuts over there. He just absolutely.
- 2:17:17Crushes the ball. He's considered just you're
- 2:17:20going playoff stand, you're not going regular season stand.
- 2:17:23But you know what, man? He hits the ball hard.
- 2:17:25That's the power hitter. I get it.
- 2:17:28In every single direction, if you know what I mean.
- 2:17:31He's not. Wrong.
- 2:17:32He's not wrong, all right. Speedy.
- 2:17:35All right. I'll round it out with just
- 2:17:37recently. Inducted.
- 2:17:38Into the Hall of Fame. Adrian Beltre.
- 2:17:39Close to 500 home runs. I don't think he quite got
- 2:17:41there, but obviously doing with so many different teams I've
- 2:17:44given a lot of credit with, like doing it all different ballparks
- 2:17:46to Dodgers. When you came up as a young
- 2:17:48player too, that was a very heavy pitching ballpark at
- 2:17:50Dodger Stadium. Then doing it with Texas as
- 2:17:52well. He had the one year with the Red
- 2:17:54Sox and again, doing it all throughout his career for about
- 2:17:56a 20 year span before he ended up retiring is fantastic.
- 2:18:00Almost 500 rooms. Got to go.
- 2:18:01Beltre and Jabba, you're going to.
- 2:18:06You're you're going to lose. This one and Speedy.
- 2:18:09I know you are great at these, but the fact that you guys
- 2:18:15didn't bring Jim Tomei up, oh, he stole them from me 612.
- 2:18:21Homers and literally one of the nicest.
- 2:18:24Human beings in the planet. And I can I can say he never got
- 2:18:31a Homer run off of me like Dracula, Gary.
- 2:18:35Gary Sheffield was another one for me.
- 2:18:39But it's like, I get so involved, especially when we go.
- 2:18:43Into baseball. Sides and but.
- 2:18:49To do it in the way that. Jim Toomey did it as humble and
- 2:18:56as proud as he was, and just to be one of the greatest dudes.
- 2:19:03There's nobody. Bag of doughnuts.
- 2:19:05Over there. So he.
- 2:19:06Hit over 600 over. Sorry about your guys's luck.
- 2:19:10I farted, so there's a lot of there's.
- 2:19:14Luck. And then there where you where?
- 2:19:16You going fish? And then there's guys who come
- 2:19:18up when they're 20. Years old and are the best
- 2:19:21player. In baseball immediately and then
- 2:19:22has a decade where he's unstoppable.
- 2:19:24He's five of them runs away from 400 right now.
- 2:19:28I'm talking about Mike Trout. This has to be on every single
- 2:19:32list of anything from 2000. He was a one-of-a-kind player.
- 2:19:36I would say maybe his swing didn't look like it, but the way
- 2:19:39he was built physically 6162 with no neck, all muscle, all
- 2:19:44trap like Mickey Mantle play the game like it from new from New
- 2:19:48Jersey, but South Jersey that's different.
- 2:19:50They say like pork roll down there.
- 2:19:52Nobody gives a shit about those people in South Jersey and
- 2:19:54they're eagles fans all those trashy S Jerseyans.
- 2:19:58But Mike Trout, certainly one of the greats of all time.
- 2:20:01Errol, who's moving on to the Jows.
- 2:20:02You guys forgot about Jeff Bagwell, too.
- 2:20:05He was pretty damn good. Bagwell, Yeah, for sure.
- 2:20:08I'm going to go Speedy and John. Give me that chicken.
- 2:20:14Curry All right, let's move on, Aaron.
- 2:20:16You can pop out great. Effort.
- 2:20:19I will stay up here. The Jason Giambi thing I just.
- 2:20:23Didn't. Giambi, I thought when mine were
- 2:20:24pretty good, I'm not going to lie, but yours was, yeah, No,
- 2:20:27yours were. Great.
- 2:20:28Here we go, Jabba, as a picture. You're going to.
- 2:20:31Have fun with this one. Who threw the best?
- 2:20:34Change up of all time. So we got this one.
- 2:20:39It'll be back and forth. Not going to go twice in a row
- 2:20:41on this round since it's just the two of you guys.
- 2:20:44Errol, tell us who is going first.
- 2:20:47Go speak. All right, I'll go with the best
- 2:20:50one that I remember seeing at the when I was a kid.
- 2:20:52That was Johan. Santana with the circle change
- 2:20:54when he was with the Twins wanna Sai young, I believe in 2003 or
- 2:20:572004. And again, it really kind of
- 2:20:59elevated the circle changes being a main type of pitch for a
- 2:21:03lot of these younger pitchers down the road.
- 2:21:04That's the best one I've seen. I got to go him Jabba, you're
- 2:21:08you're literally like. Are you not?
- 2:21:10Forgetting Greg Maddox. Greg Maddox like.
- 2:21:16Not only throw a 2 seamer. But change up wise to be able to
- 2:21:20do both of those things, he was so great at everything that he
- 2:21:26did his change up because he wasn't.
- 2:21:30A. 95 guy he. Was a change up guy that.
- 2:21:35He pulled and plot. That's what he did.
- 2:21:38And his change up was crazy. He tried to show me how to do
- 2:21:42it. I had no freaking idea.
- 2:21:45I was like, I'll try. I've literally I think I threw
- 2:21:5010 change UPS probably in the big leagues and I think two of
- 2:21:53them are still going. Two in the pink and one in the
- 2:21:55stink. Also also a circle.
- 2:22:00Change guy right? It was a circle change Java
- 2:22:02that. Maddox.
- 2:22:03He was. He was.
- 2:22:04He was. Off.
- 2:22:04Harness So I need a. Magnifying glass.
- 2:22:09So when I say off harness like that's 4 seam.
- 2:22:13So Greg was he was on the side, but he wasn't full circle.
- 2:22:19Interesting. All right, Speedy.
- 2:22:21All right, I'll. Go back to the 90s. 2000s Pedro
- 2:22:24Martinez I'll go with. Him as.
- 2:22:26Obviously having the many different hit the longest
- 2:22:30fingers in the game, well yeah, that'll help when throwing a
- 2:22:32change up could do it in a lot of.
- 2:22:33Different directions that he did when he was.
- 2:22:35With the Mets, he obviously had more of a downward drop to it,
- 2:22:38but when he was with the Expos and the Dodgers before that and
- 2:22:40with the Red Sox, could rotate it left and right, many
- 2:22:43different with grips. So I'll go Pedro Martinez #2
- 2:22:47Jabba and I'm I'm I'm going to kill you on.
- 2:22:50That too, and I'm going. To go in the same realm, Tom
- 2:22:57Cliven. Tom Glavin.
- 2:23:00Was literally. Left-handed 1 / 300.
- 2:23:04Games finish, obviously with the Mets, but never threw.
- 2:23:12Hard, exactly like Maddox. Did but you look at exactly what
- 2:23:18he did. And his.
- 2:23:20Splits on the same time left. And right and.
- 2:23:23It played 22 years and literally changed.
- 2:23:29Up people to death his. Change up when he threw it was
- 2:23:3449%. It was.
- 2:23:40It was diabolical like. I wish, I wish I could throw a
- 2:23:45change up. My my son's best bitch ball bag
- 2:23:49is a change up. And those two.
- 2:23:52Dudes. Were unbelievable to me, Speedy.
- 2:23:56All right, I'll round it out with a Yankee that had a very
- 2:23:59good one, obviously. He played more of his crew at
- 2:24:01the. Orioles but might be seen.
- 2:24:01I had a very good one as well. Obviously it kept it going for
- 2:24:04quite a while kind of later in his career had to keep it going
- 2:24:06with the Yankees to be able to be effective with his with
- 2:24:09breaking breaking the trends with the off speed pitches.
- 2:24:11But I I only got to see him with the Yankees.
- 2:24:13I did. I wasn't alive for watching
- 2:24:15baseball him with the Orioles at the time, but that was always a
- 2:24:17pitch he relied on, especially with the Yankees later in his
- 2:24:20career. And Jabba, to finish it Well you
- 2:24:23don't like. Moose relied on his curveball.
- 2:24:26Really early, early and I'll get I'll so I'm I'm going to go.
- 2:24:31I'm going to go. Kind of new school.
- 2:24:33In this 110 months ago and two Siam's.
- 2:24:40Was a. Fastball curveball guy.
- 2:24:42But what? People don't understand how good
- 2:24:46those two pitches were because that he could throw a change up
- 2:24:53and just to show it and you want to.
- 2:24:56Go power rankings you. Want to do anything?
- 2:24:59He's literally in the top 10 and all of it I.
- 2:25:05Wanted to go Ubaldo Jimenez too that.
- 2:25:08Was another one, but those three I.
- 2:25:13Think just literally they were so.
- 2:25:15Different and how they just compartmentalized.
- 2:25:20How I'm supposed to do? This and it made them better.
- 2:25:25And that's what they did, and that's.
- 2:25:27Exactly what they did and that's why I don't know if once him get
- 2:25:31in the Hall of Fame, probably not, but Maddox and Gliven no
- 2:25:38better change up I would say there's.
- 2:25:40Only one name. I didn't I I was.
- 2:25:42Expecting you, I didn't, which was Trevor.
- 2:25:43Hoffman, Trevor Hoffman, like made his whole career on this.
- 2:25:47It was a split. It wasn't a change up.
- 2:25:48They called it a change up though.
- 2:25:50No, it was a split. You call it.
- 2:25:53Change up you guys. Go, go.
- 2:25:55Go look at his. Videos.
- 2:25:56It's not a change up you. Guys forgot split, you guys
- 2:25:59forgot one that's still playing in the game and that's Jacob.
- 2:26:01Degrom, who has probably the best change up in in the game.
- 2:26:05So, but it's a split Jacob, it's not a change up.
- 2:26:08Jabba, explain to me what is a change up.
- 2:26:10What the difference is when this when we say because the split is
- 2:26:13your fingers are separated a change.
- 2:26:17Up is a change up. Those are different, no Jacob
- 2:26:22degrom. Has the best change up.
- 2:26:23In baseball, yeah, his is a change.
- 2:26:25Up. It's a It was a split.
- 2:26:26No, Jacob degrom is. A is a change up he.
- 2:26:29Was he would, he was. This way it's the same thing.
- 2:26:33That Ian Kennedy did, it's the same thing.
- 2:26:35That it's not a full blown kind of like somewhere in between is
- 2:26:40most of my understanding. It's like a split.
- 2:26:41I've heard it called a split change like we we talk about all
- 2:26:45the time as Yankees fans. Airbending what he does.
- 2:26:53Is he pronates? He pronates.
- 2:26:56And that's what he does. But it's a change up, it's not a
- 2:27:01split. Interesting.
- 2:27:03Errol, who's moving on take on the.
- 2:27:05King I like. The new Cena, I like the Pedro
- 2:27:08Martinez. I'm going to go with Speedy P
- 2:27:11All right, Speedy moves on everyone else back in to the
- 2:27:16heads up competition for voting rights in here.
- 2:27:21If you didn't like it earlier, if you were voted down, time to
- 2:27:24get your retribution against the king.
- 2:27:27Come back in everybody, and here it is.
- 2:27:30Best Home Run Derby champs of all time.
- 2:27:34Yes, the Derby is on right now. They are getting close to the
- 2:27:37finals. Looks like Junior Caminero is
- 2:27:40going to be one of the finalists.
- 2:27:41Not sure where they're at on the other side of the bracket yet.
- 2:27:44Could be Cal Raleigh or someone else.
- 2:27:48Errol, would you like to go first or seconds?
- 2:27:51I'm trying to think. If I give it to his first of
- 2:27:57all. I won that, by the way.
- 2:27:59There's no. Chance.
- 2:28:00You thought Speedy won? That no chance.
- 2:28:03Yeah, I did. I I thought speedy I I thought
- 2:28:05speedy I. Think Speedy did a job?
- 2:28:07Pedro might have had the greatest change up of all time.
- 2:28:12Pedro's or something. I mean, what?
- 2:28:13What? Tell me why Tell me.
- 2:28:16Why you. You tell me.
- 2:28:18Tell me, Greg. And Tom Glavine.
- 2:28:22Tell me why. Really, I just.
- 2:28:28I I'm not. I'm not a big Tom Glavine
- 2:28:30supporter, so that's the only. Reason why I like you don't have
- 2:28:33to be the best. I got it.
- 2:28:35I fan of them. But did he win 300 games?
- 2:28:39How many Pedro win? Not as many as Tom Gliven.
- 2:28:42I got it. Not as many as Tom Gliven.
- 2:28:48Sorry. All right, all right, I'm out.
- 2:28:52I. Know you're out.
- 2:28:53I know you're a little butt hard.
- 2:28:54I am a legend, yes. You are Errol, Who's going
- 2:28:58first? I'm going to go first.
- 2:29:02I'm going to go. 19 I'm I'm. Going to go with Ken Griffey
- 2:29:07Junior. Hitting the.
- 2:29:08Warehouse, I'm going to go with that one free time Home Run
- 2:29:10Derby champion. Obviously what he did, it was
- 2:29:14just unbelievable. Put a display, a towering
- 2:29:18display at the high fence at Baltimore.
- 2:29:21So I'm going to go with Ken Griffey Junior.
- 2:29:23I'll go with the one we talked about a lot on this show.
- 2:29:25That's Josh Hamilton doing what he did.
- 2:29:27At Yankee Stadium, yes, job. I know he didn't win.
- 2:29:30I actually picked Justin Morneau that year.
- 2:29:32But speedy, Speedy. The rule was champs.
- 2:29:35Champs of all. Time it was specifically champs.
- 2:29:38OK. All right.
- 2:29:38Then I'll, I'll, I'll shift it to the.
- 2:29:41I'll shift it to the Prince Fielder one in 2009, a couple
- 2:29:43years later to a great duel with with Nelson Cruz in that one.
- 2:29:47That was a that was a difficult one.
- 2:29:49Cruz is a young player at the time and Prince Fielder, I think
- 2:29:52had the most at the time, 450 foot home runs I think since the
- 2:29:57steroid era. So I'll I'll go with Prince
- 2:29:59Fielder for the first one. All right, Errol, I'm going to.
- 2:30:04Go I'm going to go with Vladimir Guerrero.
- 2:30:06Junior. I'm going to go with him.
- 2:30:09Obviously he holds the record, a home run at Home Run Derby in
- 2:30:132019 with 91 home runs right over Josh Hamilton in 2008.
- 2:30:18So I'm going to go with Vladimir Guerrero junior in 2019.
- 2:30:22Yeah, I'll, I'll round it out with that steroid era one in
- 2:30:26two. Thousand with with Sammy Sosa
- 2:30:28Turner Field in Atlanta too at the time.
- 2:30:31Obviously different different times, but again, the topic
- 2:30:34petition he had to face that year and being able to beat it
- 2:30:37out with all the steroid error and still having one of the
- 2:30:39highest totals that lasted for a while until Josh Hamilton broke
- 2:30:42it in 2008, even though he didn't win fish.
- 2:30:44I know why why was why was Josh Hamilton not in the
- 2:30:47conversation? He hadn't.
- 2:30:48He didn't. Win.
- 2:30:48It was only champion. It was only technically a
- 2:30:50champion, not overall. Performances.
- 2:30:53At the same time, you still have to put him in the conversation
- 2:30:56well. I know, but we've.
- 2:30:57We talked about it well. I went with Ken Griffey junior
- 2:30:59because he won in 94. 98 yeah. So, I mean, Errol, I've already
- 2:31:03kind of get tipped my hands once.
- 2:31:05You say Ken Griffey, Junior, I'm voting for you.
- 2:31:07I'm going. Where did he give my friend a
- 2:31:08finding one? Go ahead.
- 2:31:10My final. I thought you already went.
- 2:31:11No, I didn't give my third one. Right.
- 2:31:13It's three. Right.
- 2:31:14Three. Yeah.
- 2:31:15Bobby Abreu, 2005. I mean, what he did in 2005 sets
- 2:31:19the record home runs of 24 in the Derby.
- 2:31:23Well and by the way, he had 41 in 2005, so 41 and he had 25 and
- 2:31:29one at 24 in the one of the rounds.
- 2:31:31So I'm going to go with Bobby Abreu.
- 2:31:33So, and I'll, I'll round it out with the that duel that you were
- 2:31:36talking about with Vladimir Guerrero.
- 2:31:38Junior he ended up ousting him out the one year but then Pete
- 2:31:40Alonso wins it the next year too.
- 2:31:41He set the record in 2021 before he he ended up still end up
- 2:31:46keeping the streak going after that.
- 2:31:47I think he was out of the years one of the rounds but Pete
- 2:31:50Alonso doing it as a young player.
- 2:31:51Vlad, I think that year was an 8 seed too, which was crazy too
- 2:31:55and he ended up going all the way to the finals I think
- 2:31:56knocked out Julio Rodriguez, but Pete Alonso ended up bouncing
- 2:31:59him out with had to compete with all that combined total.
- 2:32:03All right, Speedy confused because he said he was rounding.
- 2:32:06It out when there was still. Another round left guys.
- 2:32:09I, I'm going with Errol on this one.
- 2:32:11A couple of names that I didn't hear that I remembered growing
- 2:32:14up. The big ones that I really
- 2:32:16liked. I, I mean, the Sosa 1 was great,
- 2:32:18but the Griffey won a couple of times.
- 2:32:21Frank Thomas, he won three times.
- 2:32:23Griffey, Frank Thomas had a legendary performance as well.
- 2:32:28I think the other one that we didn't hear that I loved was
- 2:32:32Robinson Canal, because I love Robinson canal when he won his,
- 2:32:35but that's that's pretty much it.
- 2:32:36I'm going with arrow. Go to Aaron for your vote.
- 2:32:41I'm I'm also sorry. I'm also.
- 2:32:43Going to go arrow but arrow real.
- 2:32:44Quick. You.
- 2:32:45Said for Vlad for. 19 He didn't win in 2019, did he not?
- 2:32:49That was a win. I think he did win in 2019.
- 2:32:53He. Didn't know I don't.
- 2:32:54He won in 20. 23 He won in 2023. He didn't win in 19.
- 2:32:58Well, he hit 1419. He won.
- 2:33:00In that so. But yeah, I was just confused.
- 2:33:03I'm still going with Vladimir in two 1023.
- 2:33:11It doesn't matter. It isn't no and.
- 2:33:14Java. Your vote I got speedy of.
- 2:33:17Course he. Did all right.
- 2:33:19Well, it's 2:00 to 1:00. We're going.
- 2:33:21Errol gets. To keep the crown another.
- 2:33:23Week speedy Closest you've been, but the king stays the king.
- 2:33:29Once again, I'm King of the hill.
- 2:33:33Let's go to a sports minute. This is the Jabba and the Mouth
- 2:33:38sportsman. At.
- 2:33:41All right guys, welcome back to another sportsman.
- 2:33:44At Aaron Fishman here giving you a few stories and then I'll
- 2:33:47update you what's going on in the Home Run Derby.
- 2:33:50Long. Time star defensive tackle and
- 2:33:53Domican Sue has announced his retirement from the NFL.
- 2:33:56Sue's, 38, announced the retirement on the one year
- 2:33:59anniversary of his father's passing on a long post on
- 2:34:03Twitter on Saturday. Before he passed, he gave me one
- 2:34:05final piece of advice. It's time to let football go.
- 2:34:08You've done everything you set out to do, now it's time for the
- 2:34:11next chapter. That conversation stayed with
- 2:34:13me. So today, one year later, I'm
- 2:34:15honoring that wish. I'm officially retiring from the
- 2:34:18NFL. Sue made it clear in his post
- 2:34:20how important his father was to his playing career and his
- 2:34:22following and his and father times advice and stepping away
- 2:34:26from the game. Sue played for the NFL for
- 2:34:29played in the NFL for 13 seasons.
- 2:34:30After being the number two overall pick in the 2010 draft
- 2:34:33for the Lions. Sue won a championship with the
- 2:34:36Bucks in 2020, played for the Lions, Dolphins, Rams, Bucks and
- 2:34:39Eagles. He hadn't played since 2022, but
- 2:34:42it was a five time All Pro. Routinely considered one of the
- 2:34:44dirtier players in the league. Fined hundreds of thousands of
- 2:34:47dollars and also played in three Super Bowl in Super Bowls for
- 2:34:51three different franchise in his possible Hall of Famer.
- 2:34:54Despite his reputation. Former Magic point guard Cole
- 2:34:58Anthony, who was traded recently to the Memphis Grizzlies in the
- 2:35:01Desmond Bain deal before the NBA draft, agreed to a buyout with
- 2:35:05Memphis making him a free agent. Anthony who was acquired
- 2:35:09alongside Kentavious Caldwell Pope, a first round pick swap
- 2:35:12and four first round unprotected picks in the trade for Bain is a
- 2:35:16cap casualty of the Grizzlies who are trying to make the math
- 2:35:19work after extending Jaron Jackson Junior on a five year,
- 2:35:22$240 million Max deal. It is being reported that
- 2:35:26Anthony will attempt to sign with the Bucks when eligible as
- 2:35:29they would like to need the point guard help after
- 2:35:32stretching and releasing Gaming Lillard to towards Achilles in
- 2:35:35the playoffs this year. And finally, the golf carting
- 2:35:38death of John Elway's former agent has been ruled an accident
- 2:35:42and no charges will be filed against Elway, who was driving
- 2:35:45the vehicle. It's over, Elway's lawyer Bianco
- 2:35:49told the TV station on Friday. We talked to everyone involved.
- 2:35:52We found nothing new. There was nothing criminal.
- 2:35:54It was what we've been saying all along.
- 2:35:56This was a tragic accident. The deceased, Jeff Spierbeck,
- 2:36:01who was 60. 2 was standing on the.
- 2:36:02Back. Of the the golf cart driven by
- 2:36:04Elway when he fell off and sustained fatal injuries.
- 2:36:07I'm absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the passing of my
- 2:36:10close friend, business partner and agent Jeff Spherbeck.
- 2:36:14Galloway said in a statement after his death.
- 2:36:15There are no words to truly express the profound sadness I
- 2:36:19feel with the sudden loss of someone who has meant so much to
- 2:36:22me. My heart and deepest sympathies
- 2:36:23go out to Jeff's wife Corey, his children Carly, Sam and Jackson,
- 2:36:27and everyone who knew and loved him.
- 2:36:28Jeff will be deeply missed for the loyalty, wisdom, friendship
- 2:36:31and love he brought into my life and the lives of so many others.
- 2:36:35Was always manager since 1990 and represented over 100 players
- 2:36:39in this 3 decade career as an agent and business advisor.

- 2:38:36We're about to dial it up. Jabba likes my shrimp cocktail.
- 2:38:44Welcome back to. Dial it up once again here with.
- 2:38:48Some brand new stories that Errol hasn't heard in a
- 2:38:50lightning round fashion. Guys, everyone come on in.
- 2:38:54We got five stories. Errol hasn't seen any of them
- 2:38:56yet. He's going to react and dial up
- 2:38:58or take one of us that are in the peanut gallery over here.
- 2:39:02My pinky is bigger than yours. First story.
- 2:39:05Errol. Aaron Judge, fastest to three.
- 2:39:07150 home Runs Aaron Judge became the fastest player in baseball
- 2:39:12history to get the 350 home runs with his 35th home run of the
- 2:39:17season on Saturday against the Cubs.
- 2:39:19He hit it in his one thousandth 88th game, almost 200 games
- 2:39:23faster than Mark McGuire, the previous record holder.
- 2:39:27He goes into the All Star break hitting 35535 homers, 81 RBI
- 2:39:33with A1194 OPS. He also made three terrific
- 2:39:37plays in the field in Fridays win versus the Cubs, The only
- 2:39:41game the Yankees won versus Chicago this past season.
- 2:39:45Errol, everybody knows what I think about Aaron Judge.
- 2:39:50He's the best player in baseball.
- 2:39:51He's been the best player in baseball for the last four
- 2:39:54years. I know everybody loves the share
- 2:39:56Otani situation and they're they're the two best players.
- 2:39:59He is the face not internationally and Aaron Judge
- 2:40:02is the face nationally. What he's doing right now is
- 2:40:05incredible. 35535 home runs, 80 something RBI.
- 2:40:09The guy's on his way to hitting 140 RBI this year, maybe even
- 2:40:13150. He's going to hit probably
- 2:40:16around 60 to. 65 home runs. It's been incredible to watch
- 2:40:19this guy play and what makes him so fantastic is he doesn't go
- 2:40:23out there after the game and brag about himself.
- 2:40:26It's all about team. That's what that that's what he
- 2:40:28stands for. He's not betting on sports.
- 2:40:31He's not throwing things under the rug.
- 2:40:33He's not cheating and doing the things that a lot of players are
- 2:40:37doing. What he's doing is going out
- 2:40:39there playing the game and playing the game right.
- 2:40:41I love this kid. This guy's going to hit 5 home.
- 2:40:44500 home runs is going to be the fastest 500 home runs.
- 2:40:47He is the Babe Ruth of our era. It's fantastic to watch.
- 2:40:50Congratulations to Aaron Judge and a great season and really so
- 2:40:53far a great career. I I don't like, I'm not going.
- 2:40:58To take anything away from. Him by any means, I think he
- 2:41:03needs to continue to do it. Is he going to keep up this?
- 2:41:06Face. That's the one thing that I've
- 2:41:08really like and you guys know as well as I know it's.
- 2:41:14Hard to but. A 40 to 50 face.
- 2:41:19In homers, right? I don't know if he's going to
- 2:41:24be. Able to do it for as long as he
- 2:41:26can. And I, I want him to, don't get
- 2:41:29me wrong, I'm, I'm not disagreeing with that.
- 2:41:32I just don't know if you can hit 50 homers a year and he's going
- 2:41:38to be 35. Father Time always wins.
- 2:41:44I don't know if he can get 50. Every year from.
- 2:41:48Here on out 3333 Jabba 34 beginning of next season.
- 2:41:54I I don't think that's wrong. Right now he's having the best
- 2:41:59season of his career he's putting up.
- 2:42:01Numbers nobody even could imagine to think that he is not
- 2:42:04getting it. And I'm like 150.
- 2:42:07In five years. But he's not doing shit.
- 2:42:10That nobody. 'S ever done before?
- 2:42:12Yes, he is. He's he's got.
- 2:42:14He's the quickest. No, he's not.
- 2:42:16Doing shit. Nobody's ever done before if
- 2:42:18people have. Done what he's done really.
- 2:42:21It's a guy he's got a higher WRC plus doesn't.
- 2:42:24He than Barry Bonds or who's on steroids and and and here's
- 2:42:27another thing he's he's 6 foot eight 280 lbs and he's.
- 2:42:32A 512. Player.
- 2:42:33How many players have you seen do this?
- 2:42:37I'm not saying he's not great. I.
- 2:42:39Love, Aaron Judge I. Love him.
- 2:42:43Will he go down as one of the best baseball players?
- 2:42:45No, not to me. How many homers you think?
- 2:42:50He finishes with Jabba. I think, I think he goes.
- 2:42:53In. How old is he speaking 5/3?
- 2:42:58Five days in April. OK.
- 2:43:00Five and some. Change.
- 2:43:02Five instant change, so like 520. 530 something like that
- 2:43:05I'm. Saying 5 and some.
- 2:43:06Change 590 because 590. I look if he's at.
- 2:43:11This pace, look, it's just about.
- 2:43:13Health with him, right? Places friends like dude on a
- 2:43:17bad year. In a bad year, I'll give him
- 2:43:19five and check in. A bad year?
- 2:43:21He hits 30 to 30. 5I There's no way.
- 2:43:25He's going to play another 5-6 years in the league.
- 2:43:28You're talking let's do the let's do the nap here.
- 2:43:31Let's 50 * 6 is 300, Errol. So if he had fifty home runs,
- 2:43:35I'm going to take, I'm going to take it off 650.
- 2:43:37Let's say. Let's say 40.
- 2:43:39Let's go 40. All right, 40 * 240, so the 200.
- 2:43:4440 home runs. 2. 100. 40, you don't need a calculator.
- 2:43:47You got me Yeah, I got this. So how many home runs is that?
- 2:43:50240 + 350 be 590. Okay, that's where I think he's
- 2:43:53going to be exactly. I said 5590, so that's just just
- 2:43:57under 6. I just said 5 not going to get
- 2:44:00the. 6 on it. He's going to get close to it.
- 2:44:03He's going to be really, really close.
- 2:44:04Might be close. And by the way, he will be the
- 2:44:08fastest to 5. 5. 100 he'll be the fastest almost to 6 Great he
- 2:44:14did it remember let's do let's do this show of hands who thinks
- 2:44:17he gets. To 600.
- 2:44:18Close, I'm more with the injury I think he'll be like closer to
- 2:44:23arrows range like 5. Five, anywhere from 570 to 590.
- 2:44:26I think just with the injury risk, I'm a little worried about
- 2:44:29him getting to 600. All right, let's move on.
- 2:44:32We'll get out of baseball for a second and.
- 2:44:34Go over to across the Pond where they had Wimbledon and the men's
- 2:44:40and women's finals. If you paid attention, the
- 2:44:43women's finals were very interesting.
- 2:44:45Because. There was a startling upset of
- 2:44:47the world number one, our girl Ariana Sabalenka, who complained
- 2:44:53against Coco Goff in the French Open.
- 2:44:55She loses, but then this woman, Amanda Anissimova, who was 13th
- 2:45:00ranked, she shows up with nothing and gets blank. 6 love,
- 2:45:046 love. Being the first time that's
- 2:45:06happened in 100 years. Absolute dud in the finals, she
- 2:45:10said. Honestly, I didn't even dream of
- 2:45:13after beating her for the championship.
- 2:45:15Honestly I didn't even dream of this because I feel for me.
- 2:45:18It was. Just way too far to believe.
- 2:45:21I feel like I've already experienced.
- 2:45:23I've been experienced player after winning slams before, but
- 2:45:25I've never really expected to win this one.
- 2:45:28On the men's side, Arrow, we had the new rivalry.
- 2:45:32I don't know if you've caught these two guys.
- 2:45:34I watched some of it Yonic Sinner #1 player in the world
- 2:45:37defeated #2 player in the world Carlos Alcaraz in four sets,
- 2:45:42getting his revenge from the five set loss in the French Open
- 2:45:45final against Alcaraz a couple months ago for Sinners his first
- 2:45:49ever Wimbledon title and 4th Grand Slam overall.
- 2:45:52Alcaraz still leads the rivalry eight games to 8 matches to
- 2:45:56five. And this was Sinners first win
- 2:45:58versus Alcaraz in the last 6. Errol dial it up well, I watch
- 2:46:05bits and pieces of of the sinners and Alcarez.
- 2:46:09The the semi finals against the American was very interesting.
- 2:46:14It went back and forth all the way, I think to five sets.
- 2:46:17When Alcarez actually moved on to the finals, sinners I it was
- 2:46:21that was the game that really stuck out to me.
- 2:46:23The women's were fun to watch, but it was really all the way to
- 2:46:27the men's and it usually is. The women's over the last couple
- 2:46:30of years I've been really interested, just didn't, and
- 2:46:32what happens in the women's Wimbledon this year was the
- 2:46:35men's sinners putting on a show in the finals.
- 2:46:39I thought that really stood out to me from all the rest.
- 2:46:41And by the way, I watched the Sweet 16 of the Wimbledon when
- 2:46:46Sinners moved on, Sinners just really dominated all the way to
- 2:46:51the the semi finals. He, he snuck into the finals,
- 2:46:54but Sinners has been one of the best players.
- 2:46:57He was one of the best players in the whole tournament.
- 2:46:59He was, I think he won like I think he lost like 3 or 4 frames
- 2:47:04in the whole tournament. That's how good he was it.
- 2:47:07It would be matches for sets but not frames.
- 2:47:09Well, whatever. Sets.
- 2:47:11He lost three or four sets in the whole in the whole.
- 2:47:14Tournament and I think sinners was the most dominant player
- 2:47:17throughout the tournament and that's why he won his first
- 2:47:20Wimbledon so yeah Errol. I watched both matches.
- 2:47:24I haven't caught a lot of tennis recently.
- 2:47:25I always try to watch the last couple of matches of.
- 2:47:27Wimbledon. Every year if I can.
- 2:47:29That is the big one. You know U.S.
- 2:47:30Open too. I usually coaching football when
- 2:47:32US Opens going on, so I don't really catch it, but I really
- 2:47:36was impressed with Sinner. I thought the way that the two
- 2:47:38of them play, we haven't seen a rivalry like that since the days
- 2:47:43of Federer, Nadal, since Djokovic, Nadal, Joker.
- 2:47:46Like the three of those guys were going good about five years
- 2:47:48ago. It's best since then.
- 2:47:50Well, yeah, I'm not saying we haven't seen like tennis does
- 2:47:53great when you have those rivalries.
- 2:47:55I really hope this becomes the next one.
- 2:47:57It was a really good match. I hope to see more of it from
- 2:48:00those guys and the women's I I've never seen someone collapse
- 2:48:03in a final like that. She couldn't hit the ball over
- 2:48:05the net, man. She kept hitting into the net.
- 2:48:07She was like she couldn't like she didn't know where the ball
- 2:48:09was going. I think she only won four points
- 2:48:12the whole game. The whole match.
- 2:48:14It was it was one of the biggest ass kicking that was ugly ever.
- 2:48:17It was it was hard to watch. It really was hard to watch.
- 2:48:19That's why I didn't even. Want to mention because it
- 2:48:21really. Wasn't much of anything to
- 2:48:23watch. So all right, let's get out of
- 2:48:25tennis. Here's a great one, Errol, two
- 2:48:27of your favorites. Kyrie Irving calls out Stephen A
- 2:48:32Smith. Oh yes, the flat.
- 2:48:34Earther himself had some words about Stephen A on a recent live
- 2:48:39stream when he went in on his contract.
- 2:48:41I'm going to discuss his contract.
- 2:48:43I'm going to discuss Stephen A's contract and I'm going to say I
- 2:48:46don't think you're worth it, Irving said.
- 2:48:48Does Smith the Smith deserve to earn more than Wembe since
- 2:48:52Wembe's on a rookie contract he was making a point about?
- 2:48:55How Smith and others. In the NBA, media make more than
- 2:48:58players but aren't kept to the same levels of accountability.
- 2:49:04Smith was recently critical of the deal.
- 2:49:06Irving signed with Dallas for. Just under 40 million a year,
- 2:49:10saying that Irving didn't get a good deal, didn't get paid
- 2:49:13enough. Irving let his opinions be known
- 2:49:17on his own podcast. Errol, dial it up.
- 2:49:22You know what's so funny? All these players have their
- 2:49:24own. Podcaster.
- 2:49:25ANI people's podcast and they got a lot to say.
- 2:49:28And I'm, I'm not going to quote anything Kyrie Irving says
- 2:49:31because he thinks the earth is flat, but he's not wrong.
- 2:49:34He's not wrong. Stephen A Smith did not be
- 2:49:36making $20 million a year. Do you know that they fired over
- 2:49:39100 people for Stephen A Smith to make that kind of money?
- 2:49:43It's a big problem right now in media work and and these guys
- 2:49:47and Pat McAfee, I give Pat McAfee a lot of credit because
- 2:49:50they're like back and forth and I know Stephen A Smith can't
- 2:49:53stand Pat McAfee because at one point Pat McAfee was making more
- 2:49:56money than him. Now it's Stephen A Smith's game
- 2:49:58It it's a big problem. Kyrie Irving coming out and
- 2:50:01saying that Stephen A Smith shouldn't be making that money.
- 2:50:03He's overpaid and nobody gives a crap what he says.
- 2:50:05That's a Crocker. You know what?
- 2:50:06Because Kyrie Irving has been following Stephen A Smith for a
- 2:50:09long, long time. They're butt buddies as LeBron
- 2:50:12James says with Dwyane Wade over the years, he said that Stephen
- 2:50:15A Smith is the best of the best. Now all of a sudden, because the
- 2:50:18LJA out and says you shouldn't be talking about my son and
- 2:50:22Kyrie Irving thinks that, you know, maybe Stephen A Smith's
- 2:50:25head is flat or brain is flat, he's going to come out and say
- 2:50:29that he should be making the money.
- 2:50:30I don't judge anybody for making the money.
- 2:50:32I do judge the fact that Kyrie Irving was the person that came
- 2:50:35up with the argument. Kyrie Irving saying something,
- 2:50:38it means don't listen. If it was anybody else besides
- 2:50:41Kyrie Irving or LeBron James or even Draymond Green, I would
- 2:50:44listen. The fact that Kyrie Irving said
- 2:50:47something tells me he's either jealous or nobody gives a crap
- 2:50:53what he believes to think so that's that's my opinion towards
- 2:50:56it. Steven A Smith's making 20
- 2:50:58million. Does he deserve it?
- 2:51:00Nobody in the media world deserves that kind of money,
- 2:51:03including Tom Brady, who's making that kind of money
- 2:51:07talking on a damn money Tony Romo.
- 2:51:10Tony Romo's great, right? He's a.
- 2:51:13Tony Romo. Tony.
- 2:51:14Romo is the best sports. Play by play color guy in the
- 2:51:20business, there's nobody that can touch him.
- 2:51:23That's how good he is. Tom Brady, none of them is any.
- 2:51:26He has a dude next to him, too. Yeah, Nance.
- 2:51:29Yeah, Nance is good. But Nance has that unique voice.
- 2:51:32But. Honestly, nobody cares about
- 2:51:34cares what Nance is saying. They care about what?
- 2:51:36Hello, friends, you know? Hello, friends.
- 2:51:38My name is Mr. Nance. I like to play with myself, you
- 2:51:42know, That's all I have to hear. And when he talks like that, I
- 2:51:45could only wonder what he does in his spare time.
- 2:51:47And he's also making a ton of money, thanks to you.
- 2:51:49To Tony homo himself so Tony Rome was the best as far as I'm
- 2:51:54concerned. Stephen A Smith shouldn't be
- 2:51:55making that money. But I don't want to hear from
- 2:51:57Kyrie Irving the bitch crying. Yeah.
- 2:51:59So while we're on the topic, is a great broad crashers also a
- 2:52:02bonus golf. Retirement as well.
- 2:52:05Fantastic NBA. Broadcaster Knicks.
- 2:52:07Broadcaster for he was 35 years that he's been in the business.
- 2:52:10So congratulations to Green but for the sayings of the blind
- 2:52:14squirrel fight to not once in a while Kyler Kyrie Irving's feet
- 2:52:16pea brain finally found something reasonable to say.
- 2:52:19Oh yeah, he's right about Stephen A Smith basically
- 2:52:21hoarding all the ESPN money. And I think there were other for
- 2:52:25sure baseball layoffs that just happened recently with their
- 2:52:29with their baseball program, which definitely looks bad when
- 2:52:32Stephen A Smith is talking up all that button.
- 2:52:33No, they'll just have Stephen A Smith.
- 2:52:35They'll host a baseball. Sure, let's see what he'll.
- 2:52:37They have Pat McAfee there, so why not break Stephen A Smith?
- 2:52:40On Yeah, he knows crap about baseball to go.
- 2:52:42Downhill so bad, very fast. I'm not even going to say
- 2:52:45anything. I don't.
- 2:52:46Want to throw? Anybody under the bus?
- 2:52:47Because we might have somebody listening, but what the hell is
- 2:52:51ESPN doing right now? What is going on?
- 2:52:54It's just really disproportionate what is going
- 2:52:56on, right? Now over there in that network.
- 2:52:58What they're giving people that kind of money and there are so
- 2:53:02much other better, more talented people out there that should be
- 2:53:06making somewhere in that vicinity and he they're just
- 2:53:10completely looking past and I'm not even going to say who so and
- 2:53:13you're right I'm not saying it should be Kyrie Irving
- 2:53:15necessarily I. Won't fault him for that for
- 2:53:19just really. Stating what really should be
- 2:53:21magnified about. That contract in general, yeah,
- 2:53:24I was saying to you earlier, Speedy, it's like one of the
- 2:53:27first times I've. Agreed with.
- 2:53:28Kyrie Irving, It's his most intelligent thing, he's said in
- 2:53:30years. It just it.
- 2:53:33Bothers me because I I I. See all these people?
- 2:53:35Getting fired. And Stephen A Smith is taking I
- 2:53:40I is probably making about 18 to 20% of the the money that's
- 2:53:45going into the media. But he's he's also created that
- 2:53:48too. Arrow.
- 2:53:48You got to understand that he's like he's.
- 2:53:50Created that like Anomaly. He's created that.
- 2:53:53All right, I'm going to I'm going to school you here.
- 2:53:55OK, who created? Cold Pizza.
- 2:53:57Who was The Who was the first person to be called be part of
- 2:54:01Cold Pizza? Speedy Whole pizza.
- 2:54:04That was the first ESPN show before was it Max Kellerman?
- 2:54:08No, no, no. Who was it?
- 2:54:10He he went, he left. He left and he went.
- 2:54:14Over there to. Do Fox, you know what I'm
- 2:54:16talking about? He retired now.
- 2:54:17Coward. No, he left and he worked with
- 2:54:20Stephen A Smith for a long. Time and bayless.
- 2:54:23That's right. Oh, Skip Bayless.
- 2:54:25Skip Bayless is the one that. Opened up.
- 2:54:27The doors in the. Floodgate for Stephen A Smith.
- 2:54:29Stephen A Smith was fired. OK, You know, he was fine.
- 2:54:33You know, the conglomerate of all.
- 2:54:35Of that was was Chris Berman probably, but Berman was the one
- 2:54:41that the one that did. It the right way.
- 2:54:43Well. I like Chris.
- 2:54:44Chris is a nice guy too. I met Chris a couple of times.
- 2:54:47I met. Him at the.
- 2:54:48MEO Chris Berman did it the right way.
- 2:54:50He was the first one to get A7. Figure contract.
- 2:54:54He was you know what though, Jabba?
- 2:54:56It's interesting you bring him up though.
- 2:54:58Because when he did it, he made sure that he was great at
- 2:55:01everything he did. Remember that when he did the
- 2:55:03Home Run Derby, Back, back, back, back, back, back, back he
- 2:55:05gone. He always added some.
- 2:55:08Flavor to it that made it like unique.
- 2:55:11And I I don't see any of the talent other than McAfee doing
- 2:55:15his. Annoying.
- 2:55:17Stick I would at times that doesn't fit with baseball in
- 2:55:21this situation. I I.
- 2:55:22Just thought that like, it's college game day, it's WWE, it's
- 2:55:28some. Other things as well.
- 2:55:29I don't think it was this and I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 2:55:33I don't know man, I I missed the days.
- 2:55:35Of guys like Berman that were like.
- 2:55:36I'm going to make this awesome and I'm going to show you I'm
- 2:55:39not just going to you're just putting too much money into what
- 2:55:41they're selling right now. If you have Rick TBHO running
- 2:55:45and and and being a part of your organization just tells it
- 2:55:48smells like dog crap, doggy Doo Doo.
- 2:55:51And again, I'm not throwing anybody under the bus.
- 2:55:53And if they're listening, well, you know how I feel about this
- 2:55:56situation. If you're going to put those
- 2:55:58guys on, there should be some other people being put on in a
- 2:56:01very better, bigger and better position.
- 2:56:03I don't get it. I don't get ESPN right now.
- 2:56:06Doesn't make sense. All right, let's move on.
- 2:56:09It is frustrating. It's hard to understand.
- 2:56:11Here we. Go Tito Francona gets win number
- 2:56:152000s. Yes, He is now the 13th manager
- 2:56:20in baseball history to win 2000 games.
- 2:56:24I don't think I've ever tried to delude myself.
- 2:56:26I mean, some of those names up there are kind of like baseball
- 2:56:29royalty, Franklin has said. If there's an adjective baseball
- 2:56:33lifer, it's me. I'm not overly smart.
- 2:56:36I. Just love the.
- 2:56:37Game probably too much. Francono, 66, joins Rangers
- 2:56:40manager Bruce Bochi as the only two active managers with 2000
- 2:56:45wins. Francona famously managed the
- 2:56:47Red Sox in 2004 to break the Curse of the Bambino and in 2007
- 2:56:52in those championship teams also managed Cleveland to the World
- 2:56:55Series in 2016. Errol.
- 2:56:59Oh, and last thing, only Bochy and Dusty Baker, who are who
- 2:57:02aren't eligible yet, are not in the Hall of Fame with over 2000
- 2:57:06wins. Errol, first of all, I, I had
- 2:57:12conversations with Goody about this guy.
- 2:57:14This guy is one of his favorite managers.
- 2:57:16I know Joppa said he's one of his favorite managers.
- 2:57:19So I'm sure he's an incredible manager.
- 2:57:21I can't stand him because he was the guy that absolutely crushed
- 2:57:25me as a Yankee fan. So I, I know who Terry Francona
- 2:57:29is. I've heard he's a good guy.
- 2:57:30He's a great guy. He's a baseball lifer.
- 2:57:32The fact that he had 2000 wins, congratulations to him.
- 2:57:35I, I, I think very well deserved.
- 2:57:37He's been a lifer and he's he's done in a way where you can't
- 2:57:40hate on him. He's gone everywhere and he's
- 2:57:43won everywhere. He's gone not championships.
- 2:57:45He's made those teams a winning organization, very successful
- 2:57:49everywhere he's gone. And he knows how to coach
- 2:57:51players and manage players. He puts them in the best
- 2:57:54position to win. You can't hate on a guy like
- 2:57:56that. I just hated him when he was a
- 2:57:58Boston Red Sox. But he's a winner and you love
- 2:58:01winners. 2000 wins, very well deserved and and a guy that
- 2:58:06nobody is. I've never heard anybody say
- 2:58:08anything bad about Terry Francona.
- 2:58:10And by the way, Theo Epstein had to take, you know, he had to
- 2:58:14take a a hunch on this guy and he hunched right.
- 2:58:18One of the best managers of this era, the one and only he he he
- 2:58:23was awesome. Like I'll it was so.
- 2:58:26Funny, I was I was walking spring training one day and this
- 2:58:30is when he had to take the bullet for them and the Red Sox.
- 2:58:35And I think this was 2008 and he was the work of ESPN.
- 2:58:43At that point and he's like, I hated you.
- 2:58:46But he goes, I can root for you now.
- 2:58:48And then I got to play for him. And you know, the greatest thing
- 2:58:51too, being a father and my son and everything is, is the most
- 2:58:59important thing in my life. And Tito, when I signed, he
- 2:59:06goes, I don't care what your son does, don't care what he does.
- 2:59:12He goes, I only have one rule. I have one rule.
- 2:59:16They come and say hi to me and like as a father and as a man
- 2:59:24and as a son, that my dad respect that.
- 2:59:29Please and thank. You, it's very first and
- 2:59:31foremost and he goes. You can come my clubhouse
- 2:59:35anytime. You want but.
- 2:59:37You don't respect me. Come see me first.
- 2:59:40And he did that, and he was so. Great.
- 2:59:44And Tito deserves all the love. All the love I know.
- 2:59:50We we, we had our run insurance. We had.
- 2:59:52Our run in. And they were very, very fun.
- 2:59:57And he didn't like me, but. When I got to play for him, he
- 3:00:02he was just absolutely great. Human being awesome.
- 3:00:09Let's move on. That's got, I mean.
- 3:00:11Clearly a Hall of Famer, right? Errol has to be, has to be
- 3:00:15right. If there's a Hall of the
- 3:00:16definition of a Hall of Fame, it has.
- 3:00:17To be though, right I mean. He's got the wins now that that
- 3:00:21basically solidifies it. It's got 2 World Series and a
- 3:00:24third appearance. It's it's hard to argue.
- 3:00:27And now he's turning, trying to turn around this.
- 3:00:28I am a legend so should be excited to see if he can do it
- 3:00:32over there. I think there's still a couple
- 3:00:33of years away though. All right, last story.
- 3:00:38It's Cooper flag being shut down for the rest of summer.
- 3:00:42League. Flag played in only two games
- 3:00:45for the Summer League. He was shut down by The
- 3:00:47Mavericks. He had an up and down first
- 3:00:50night, poor shooting but had the game-winning two way play with a
- 3:00:54block at one end with a nice assist at the other end to win
- 3:00:58the game and then had 31 points. Was his dominant self in a loss
- 3:01:03to San Antonio on Saturday. The Mavericks apparently have
- 3:01:07seen enough to know what they have in Flag.
- 3:01:10As we know, Flag was the Wooden Player of the year, Naismith
- 3:01:13Player of the year last year, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5
- 3:01:17rebounds and 4.2 who assists for Duke in their Final Four run
- 3:01:21last season. Arrow a little early to shut him
- 3:01:24down. Did they even need to play him?
- 3:01:26At all. Dial it up.
- 3:01:28I would have liked to see him finish this summer.
- 3:01:30He's special and I don't think he needed to play.
- 3:01:34But again, you want a guy that's going to go out there and
- 3:01:37compete, He's a competitor. He is going to.
- 3:01:39Did you want him? Did they want him not to play or
- 3:01:42like no, they just wouldn't. They probably told him there's
- 3:01:45no need for him to play anymore, but he's a competitor.
- 3:01:47He likes to go out there and compete.
- 3:01:49That's what you like. This is a kid that's always
- 3:01:52competed no matter where and what what team he played for.
- 3:01:55He's one of those guys and this guy's going to win Rookie of the
- 3:01:58Year. I don't think you can argue it.
- 3:01:59There's only one other guy that has a chance to win Rookie of
- 3:02:02the Year and that's the guy that's playing in San Antonio.
- 3:02:04But I I just think that he's, he's by far the best player in
- 3:02:08this year's draft. But what he does as a person, as
- 3:02:12a team player, that's what stands out to me.
- 3:02:14I don't think he gives a crap if he's playing or he doesn't.
- 3:02:16I just want to see him out there.
- 3:02:18The fact that Dallas shut him down.
- 3:02:20Dallas didn't have to shut him down.
- 3:02:22They're just trying to protect him and make sure he'll be ready
- 3:02:24for the season. He is going to be a selling
- 3:02:26point for that organization to try to break a casino in.
- 3:02:29Everybody knows that's what they're trying to do.
- 3:02:31Cooper Flag If he becomes the superstar that I believe he's
- 3:02:34going to become like I've been been saying over the last eight
- 3:02:36years he's going to become he's a must see must money break
- 3:02:39maker Mavericks are going to get the opportunity to bring a
- 3:02:42casino in and the organization's going to get what they want and
- 3:02:45he's going to be a tall tall sell for the NBA moving forward
- 3:02:50so to go to the LJA to the CFA what's what's it going to be
- 3:02:59called now the CFA the. Cooper Flag Association because
- 3:03:03I think he's going. To take over the league and
- 3:03:05really transition the league into higher heights for for
- 3:03:08American basketball, which they absolutely need because Anthony
- 3:03:11Edwards is a crybaby and he can't handle it.
- 3:03:13So yeah, I mean, it's definitely weird, the fact that they just.
- 3:03:16Only played them two games. And of course the.
- 3:03:18Only big marketable game was against him and Bronny James,
- 3:03:20which you can take that for what you want for whatever it is.
- 3:03:24But basically, I don't know it's it is it's kind of odd the fact
- 3:03:26that they decided to let him play and really, like Earl said,
- 3:03:29you really, really just looking forward to next season having
- 3:03:31him ready to be the superstar that we all know he's going to
- 3:03:34be. Cooper flag is definitely going
- 3:03:35to be a superstar within this league.
- 3:03:37But the whole point is is I just find it very strange the fact
- 3:03:39this is that of course, summer league isn't really watched upon
- 3:03:42as much anymore. I don't even know if it was at
- 3:03:45one point, but it's very strange to just give them two games and
- 3:03:49then kind of just, no, it's not. It's The Mavericks.
- 3:03:51How? How strange is it?
- 3:03:52That is true. Very strange.
- 3:03:54Organization. By the way, since Cooper Flag
- 3:03:56has been drafted by the Dallas Mavericks.
- 3:03:58Listen to this Dallas Mavericks. He is in the top ten in jersey
- 3:04:03sales right now in the NBA top ten.
- 3:04:05I'm just going to say I think it was kind of weird only two
- 3:04:07games. I mean like the Cooper flag
- 3:04:08number one overall. Pick he probably is ready and
- 3:04:10he's ready to go. But I mean, if you see in three
- 3:04:13seasons since our leagues to like the NFL, if you look at
- 3:04:15like Caleb Williams, most of these teams like they don't
- 3:04:18really want to, you know, start their grandchild quarterback in
- 3:04:20the season because they just think, oh, he's going to be our
- 3:04:22guy. He's ready.
- 3:04:23Then you look, they start the season out and they kind of
- 3:04:26struggle like they're not really up to game with the speed
- 3:04:28because you know, the transition from college to the pros, unless
- 3:04:31you're Jaden Daniels or someone like that or LeBron, you know,
- 3:04:34you generally don't come out of the gate swinging and firing on
- 3:04:37all the cylinders. So I would think it would be a
- 3:04:39sense for him to play a couple more games.
- 3:04:41But I guess they feel that, you know, he's ready to go.
- 3:04:43So we'll see how Cooper Flag does.
- 3:04:45I'm sure he'll be fine. But you know, I think it would
- 3:04:47have been probably better. Nico's an idiot.
- 3:04:49Nico's an idiot and Nico should. Honestly, either play him or
- 3:04:54not. If you're going to play him for
- 3:04:56two games, play him for the rest of the summer league.
- 3:04:58If I was Cooper flag, I'm a competitor.
- 3:04:59If I I don't, I don't want to. I don't want to be any part of
- 3:05:03this organization the way they're already ruining me for
- 3:05:06the summer. Everybody is selling out those
- 3:05:08games when Cooper Flag was playing, those games were sold
- 3:05:11out. Summer Games sold out.
- 3:05:13Why isn't he playing? It makes no sense.
- 3:05:16But again, Nico is not one of the smartest guys and definitely
- 3:05:20not a person I want to run my organization.
- 3:05:22I mean, hey, Arrow, they got their, they got their TikTok,
- 3:05:25they got Brownie versus. Flags, they're like, all right,
- 3:05:27that's nothing for him. We don't need to post something
- 3:05:29about that. The fact that they gave that a
- 3:05:31whole graphic, a whole tagline, like you're actually.
- 3:05:33Getting a really interesting matchup.
- 3:05:36It's just absolutely laughable. It's it's ridiculous flag.
- 3:05:39Ronnie. Tonight.
- 3:05:41No, no, no, no. No, no flag Ronnie LJA Vegas
- 3:05:48Arrow. By the time LeBron retires,
- 3:05:50you'll have both the Eastern and Western conferences named.
- 3:05:52After Assad, the Bronnie and Bryce conference, Bryce gets
- 3:05:55dropped. If you want a bar Bronnie Junior
- 3:05:58conference. That's right.
- 3:05:59Yeah, the summer. The summer.
- 3:06:00League award. They'll call it the Bronnie
- 3:06:01Games Award. Thinking of guys that you think
- 3:06:04are dumb like Carl and the comments flag a.
- 3:06:06Confederate, just like the great John Shire.
- 3:06:08Stop Arrow's favorite, John Shire, who choked.
- 3:06:12Choked in a. Final four, Great.
- 3:06:14Great, pretty bad job. Maybe Nico Harrison will be dumb
- 3:06:18enough to fire Jason and hire John.
- 3:06:20Shire Don't worry, Carl. After he chokes again with the
- 3:06:22team even a better team than he had.
- 3:06:24This past year he will be fired, that is.
- 3:06:27That was an absolute choke by John, AKA idiot Shire.
- 3:06:32All right, I don't know why everybody has this love fest for
- 3:06:35this guy. He's A to me, he's a failure.
- 3:06:38He was a failure as a player. And by the way, he didn't have
- 3:06:42much an NBA career and I don't want to hear it by what was his
- 3:06:44name? Yeah, a guy that is just a
- 3:06:48defensive player in the league. I'm not going to mention
- 3:06:49podcasts, you know, but there's somebody that plays in the NBA
- 3:06:52that said his feelings about John Shire, how great of a
- 3:06:55player was. And to me, John Shire is been
- 3:06:58handed handed a key by Coach K and a key that I want to run
- 3:07:03into a tree. No offense, that is just an
- 3:07:06absolute debacle. All right, I got it.
- 3:07:08Just got to hope that Nico Harrison is done.
- 3:07:09That was embarrassing for the How do you go up?
- 3:07:11How are you up 14 points? With 2 1/2 minutes left and you
- 3:07:15let Houston come all a defensive team come all the way back to
- 3:07:19win a game and you were up by almost eight points.
- 3:07:21With 50 seconds and you let A-Team come back and beat you.
- 3:07:24Embarrassing embarrassment. John Shire choke Friggin artist.
- 3:07:30Sell that post that bitch. I'm sorry.
- 3:07:33And then Tom Thibodeau must have learned from him two months
- 3:07:35later when the Knicks did. I hate.
- 3:07:38Of rooting for Duke, you know, because now I got to watch.
- 3:07:40A coach that absolutely is a deer in the headlights.
- 3:07:43Reminds me of one guy named, Oh yeah, Robert Sala.
- 3:07:46That's that's the guy. Bambi himself.
- 3:07:48What is he saying right here? How was he a failure of a
- 3:07:50player? He won a title.
- 3:07:52Yeah, he oh, wait a second. He won a title.
- 3:07:54Did did you just say John Shire won a title?
- 3:07:56Coach K is the title maker here and John Shire had nothing.
- 3:08:02By the way, what did John Shire do in the finals?
- 3:08:04What did he do in the finals? That's what I want to ask
- 3:08:07because he wasn't the best player on the floor from the
- 3:08:10finals, Carl. So stop selling me something.
- 3:08:13And by the way, Kevin, you're right, Chisholm is a jizz, is a
- 3:08:16jizz package. As much as I could say about
- 3:08:20John Shire, I would rather 15 points in the game against
- 3:08:23Butler in that game that they almost lost on that bank shot by
- 3:08:28Gordon Hayward at the last second was a very high profile
- 3:08:32player when he came out of the draft.
- 3:08:34Oh, he was awesome, awesome in college.
- 3:08:37He just couldn't stay healthy. Who drafted him?
- 3:08:39Was it Carolina, Utah, Utah, Gordon Hayward and started in
- 3:08:43the Hornets. The Hornets, the connection with
- 3:08:44them is I think he failed a physical.
- 3:08:46With them and then went to the. Celtics after that or something?
- 3:08:48I hate John Shire, I can't stand them.
- 3:08:50So Carl, get off his jock strap. Please.
- 3:08:53It's disgusting. I mean, I coached him in high
- 3:08:56school. I love you, Carl.
- 3:08:58Stop with this. You're, you're becoming myth.
- 3:09:00You're becoming this, this Nifkin you like, you like to
- 3:09:05bring up Nathan with. His, you know, his high school
- 3:09:08softball. Now you're talking about and
- 3:09:10pickleball, but you know, I got to pick on you when you.
- 3:09:13I coached him in high school. Yeah, give me a break.
- 3:09:17Bagel hole. That's about all I think about
- 3:09:20when I think of John Shire. A nice little.
- 3:09:21Bagel Hole. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen,
- 3:09:25we call our final subject of the night.
- 3:09:28What's that smell? Hold up, what is that smell?
- 3:09:31What's that smell? Wow, you don't see that every
- 3:09:39day. All right, ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:09:42It's pretty simple how you play the game.
- 3:09:43Well, it's not a game. It's a segment, but if you want
- 3:09:45to call it a game, you could sell it for whatever it's worth.
- 3:09:48It's it's very simple. We give you a subject, we give
- 3:09:51you a story that we don't like or we like, and we tell you what
- 3:09:54it smells like. Like Speedy, stinky ass.
- 3:09:56You ready? All right, we're going to go
- 3:09:59with Aaron. We're going to go with Speedy.
- 3:10:01We're going to go with Jake. We're going to go with fish.
- 3:10:03We're going to go with a list of poops.
- 3:10:05And I guess I'm the last one. And Jabba is probably finishing
- 3:10:09up, you know, doing something in his background or in his back.
- 3:10:13You know, he's back home. Let's go.
- 3:10:15Yum, Yum. All right, so I'll start it off.
- 3:10:18I mean, obviously we. Have the Home Run Derby, Cal.
- 3:10:19Rally just just one against Junior Caminero, But I will
- 3:10:22start with one of the participants.
- 3:10:25Jazz Chisholm hit a whopping three home runs in this Home Run
- 3:10:29Derby. I mean, as the Yankee fan, I'm
- 3:10:32good. He was one and done.
- 3:10:33Don't got everyone and swing. I'm cool with that.
- 3:10:36But if you're going to enter the Home Run Derby, man, you got to
- 3:10:38at least hit 10, maybe 5, You know, get get over that hump.
- 3:10:42Maybe 15. Let me tell you, man, smells
- 3:10:45like some really bad things are going on in New York.
- 3:10:48I'm kidding. But Jazz, don't ever do the home
- 3:10:51under again. Please, I beg you.
- 3:10:53Please. All right.
- 3:10:55So mine refers to Teddy Bridgewater.
- 3:10:57Who's now coaching in college? But was suspended for funneling
- 3:11:01in money to help help his players get Uber rides and
- 3:11:06several other services. But where the money was coming
- 3:11:09from was coming from the fans. It wasn't coming from his own
- 3:11:11pocket. He was basically manipulating
- 3:11:13these fans, whatever the community is in that program at
- 3:11:16Miami Northwestern to funnel in funds to help them get that
- 3:11:19money. Oh, another Brett Favre.
- 3:11:21Yeah. So I Jake, I know we were
- 3:11:23chatting in the private chat. I like the gesture with him.
- 3:11:25Trying to do that, but he has enough money as a backup
- 3:11:27quarterback. You know what money?
- 3:11:27Much money bacon backup quarterbacks have.
- 3:11:30Why couldn't he use his own money?
- 3:11:31So that's more of what I'm getting at.
- 3:11:32So what does that smell like? Apparently this was a thing in
- 3:11:34Miami for one run restaurant Insect droppings infested
- 3:11:38chicken, which was a sad thing in Miami.
- 3:11:41Gross thing in Miami. What does it smell like that
- 3:11:43being eaten by Tyree kale after he loses a race.
- 3:11:45Noah Lyles. All right, Jake, I think you're
- 3:11:48next. Oh, yeah.
- 3:11:49So for my take, I'm going to go back.
- 3:11:50To this past Saturday, go back to UFC fight.
- 3:11:52Night tell Shawn to share against Derek Lewis with a crazy
- 3:11:56knockout. Derek Lewis 35 second finish or
- 3:11:59tell us on share handing him his first loss.
- 3:12:01And I see a lot of fans on Twitter and everyone was
- 3:12:04complaining about Jason Herzog with the early stoppage.
- 3:12:07Look Talisons Sarah he used the cage to get up.
- 3:12:10You're not allowed to do that. It's an illegal move so that
- 3:12:12it's completely justified for Jason Herzog to call the fight
- 3:12:15there and Derrick Lewis just put on another great show like he
- 3:12:18normally does. So I think that all the whining
- 3:12:21Talison fans right now smells like Derrick Lewis is sweaty as
- 3:12:24balls and his shorts that he threw into the crowd stopped.
- 3:12:28You're bitching. It was a fair stoppage.
- 3:12:30Derrick Lewis is the man He's got.
- 3:12:32His balls were hot. His balls were high.
- 3:12:34They were very high. I will say this, Derrick.
- 3:12:36Lewis, He even puts on a. Show he dances around and.
- 3:12:38Branches around and it doesn't give a crap.
- 3:12:41So I love the fact that he does that, but what an embarrassment
- 3:12:44to share. That was just embarrassing to
- 3:12:47let Derrick Lewis knock you out like that.
- 3:12:49You're twice this. He caught him originally Arrow,
- 3:12:51and it looked like he hurt him, but then Derrick Lewis answered.
- 3:12:54Right back. And then he tried to escape with
- 3:12:55the cage. And yeah, that's what the
- 3:12:58problem is, is when people fight Derrick Lewis, they think that
- 3:13:01once you get him on. The like the twist and attorney.
- 3:13:03He's like he's he's like twit, like about to fall.
- 3:13:06This guy's got the best jaw in any of the with any of the
- 3:13:09heavyweights. And that was just an
- 3:13:12embarrassing loss by to Sherry and that was his first loss.
- 3:13:14What an embarrassment. Hey, the Knockout King does what
- 3:13:18he does. Embarrassing.
- 3:13:21All right, I'm up next and I am going to go.
- 3:13:24Down to Philadelphia, where Paul George just went underwent
- 3:13:28another orthoscopic procedure on his left knee on his left, dated
- 3:13:35to treat an injury suffered during a recent workout.
- 3:13:39Errol, according to the team he's now in a rehab program,
- 3:13:43will be re evaluated prior to the start of training camp in
- 3:13:46September. The procedure is performed at
- 3:13:49NYU Lang. I got to go back off now.
- 3:13:51Orthopedic. Center, George.
- 3:13:54Is 35. He's dealt with a.
- 3:13:55Number of injuries played 41 games last year in the It's the
- 3:13:59fifth time in six years he's played less than 60.
- 3:14:02It's probably going to be 6 times in seven years.
- 3:14:05What does it smell like? Well, for King George, it smells
- 3:14:08like whatever crumpets smell like with the tea and crumpets.
- 3:14:11They must be thrown into the ocean for the Boston Tea Party.
- 3:14:15That dude is washed up and. Should be.
- 3:14:17With the tea at the bottom of the Boston Harbor.
- 3:14:21King is that I mean. That's fair.
- 3:14:23I mean, he's got. One king for another.
- 3:14:25Has LeBron James is smelling his ass on his way?
- 3:14:28Out. Oh, actually smelling Lucas ass,
- 3:14:30because that's where it's going. All right, I'm going to be going
- 3:14:33to the squared circle in the WWE.
- 3:14:36Ring now. There was actually a lot of
- 3:14:37wrestling going on this past weekend.
- 3:14:38Saturday Nightmare event, a woman's All pay-per-view
- 3:14:40yesterday Evolution and doesn't even AEW Charlotte Fair.
- 3:14:44I'm assuming Charlotte Flair was actually.
- 3:14:47Wrestling yesterday it was all women's pay-per-view, but.
- 3:14:49We're not going to be discussing about the women's pay-per-view
- 3:14:52we had. We're going to be talking about
- 3:14:53the event on Saturday night, main event with old Berg, as I
- 3:14:57like to call him, talking about Goldberg.
- 3:14:59But Goldberg of course had a match, his retirement match.
- 3:15:03We'll. See if that's really his.
- 3:15:04Retirement match at his retirement match against one of
- 3:15:06the best wrestlers in my opinion in not even in my opinion, but
- 3:15:09genuinely in the WWE as we speak, he went up against
- 3:15:13Gunther and it absolutely looked like one of the silliest matches
- 3:15:17that he has put on. Actually, it's not even.
- 3:15:19One of the silliest matches. If we're going to be talking
- 3:15:21about the silliest match that Goldberg has had, it's going to
- 3:15:24be the Undertaker in Goldberg, which is an absolute crap show.
- 3:15:27I can't, I can't say anything nice about the last 10 years
- 3:15:30we've had a Goldberg. All I want to do is roll my eyes
- 3:15:32when he's on my screen. And now that he's retired, until
- 3:15:34the money is right, later on, until Triple H offers him a nice
- 3:15:37contract, we are going to be done with seeing Goldberg.
- 3:15:40So I guess it's pretty exciting, but it's kind of smelling like
- 3:15:44his his sweaty ass trunks, especially after that crappy
- 3:15:47match he had. So there we go, Sweaty trunks,
- 3:15:51sweaty shorts from the UFC match, right?
- 3:15:53That's a lot of them. Whole lot of sweat.
- 3:15:55I'm gonna go on a positive side and I'm gonna.
- 3:15:58I'm gonna. Use one for.
- 3:15:59Me on What's that smell? So proud of my son.
- 3:16:04What's that smell? He worked his ass off and he got
- 3:16:08back to pitching in college baseball.
- 3:16:13And I'm so. Proud of him and as his father
- 3:16:18and as everything that he's done.
- 3:16:21I am so proud of him and he is literally my heartbeat and I
- 3:16:29love him so much and I'm so proud.
- 3:16:33And what if? So most of me, he's worked his
- 3:16:37ass off and he wants to do it and he keeps.
- 3:16:42Going. It keeps going, and you know
- 3:16:45what that is? Hey, we'll beat this game.
- 3:16:52But it's not going to beat. Me.
- 3:16:54And we're going to keep going and.
- 3:16:56We're going to keep working. And that's what.
- 3:16:58Carter is doing right now and you know what that smells like?
- 3:17:01That smells like filet mignon to me, baby Grobo.
- 3:17:05I'm not chickens fingers. I'm not chicken fingers and and.
- 3:17:08Honey mustard, baby. Grobo, as long as you're not
- 3:17:11chicken with insect toppings. You'll be going.
- 3:17:14He tastes himself. All right.
- 3:17:19Ladies and gentlemen, the final What's that smell goes to?
- 3:17:22Yes. Nick Seriani comes out on a
- 3:17:25podcast and says something very interesting.
- 3:17:28Eagles coach Nick Seriano offered pointed response to the
- 3:17:31notion that quarterback Jalen Hurts was a long for the ride
- 3:17:35during the Philadelphia Super Bowl run last season.
- 3:17:38I think that's bull. You know what what Nick Sariana
- 3:17:41said. I mean, he plays the most
- 3:17:44important position in all of sports and it's the most
- 3:17:47Ultimate Team game there is. And what I admire about him is
- 3:17:52his selfishness of doing anything we need to do to win.
- 3:17:58And I will say this, if you were to ask me right now why they won
- 3:18:03the Super Bowl, it was Jalen Hurts.
- 3:18:06Go look how many touchdowns he ran in.
- 3:18:08Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes.
- 3:18:11Everybody thinks his world class the best quarterback in the NFL.
- 3:18:16Well, guess what Jalen Hurts did in Louisiana when we were there
- 3:18:19dancing and prancing with the Goodwood.
- 3:18:22Yes, ladies and gentlemen, he knocked off Kansas City Patrick
- 3:18:26Mahomes and embarrassed the crap out of them.
- 3:18:30And that was Jalen Hurts. And you want to ask me what it
- 3:18:33smell like? It smells like LeBron James
- 3:18:36sniffing A walrus's ass while his son's eating out his.
- 3:18:40That's what it smells like. OK, and I'll tell you this,
- 3:18:45anybody that doesn't think Jalen Hurts deserves a little bit more
- 3:18:49respect. I'm one of those guys that think
- 3:18:52that this kid is as good as any quarterback in the NFL and
- 3:18:55there's a lot more credit. Strongest quarterback in the NFL
- 3:18:58squats almost 700 lbs. Tell me a quarterback that can
- 3:19:01do that. So eat anybody's ass, including
- 3:19:04Jabba's, as long as she's using dude wipes and taking care of my
- 3:19:07I saw comparison. I saw a.
- 3:19:09Comparison on Twitter that somebody said like the.
- 3:19:11Eagles would be able to I'll. Let you lick my.
- 3:19:13Bowl win. The Super Bowl is like Geno
- 3:19:14Smith was. He gave a person like that.
- 3:19:16It was crazy. Like how much Haiti?
- 3:19:17'S getting you know Jabba likes. The back door as we.
- 3:19:20All know so hey, we we got to. Give it we got to lick it and we
- 3:19:24definitely need a stick it. I had to take a shit as he
- 3:19:27probably did twice during the show.
- 3:19:29Ladies and. Gentlemen, I don't know.
- 3:19:30According to Nathan, the the the sitter might be blocked.
- 3:19:33Well, that's true. Could you imagine Nathan
- 3:19:35sitting? Could you imagine?
- 3:19:36That we shrink Nathan and we stick him in Jabba's toilet.
- 3:19:39I mean, how do you think that would look?
- 3:19:41You know, trying to compare Nathan, that would be rough.
- 3:19:44That would be, that would be pretty cool.
- 3:19:45I mean, Nathan, you know. Nathan, what do you think we got
- 3:19:48to get? Nathan in here, would you like
- 3:19:49to be a part of Jabba's old 2 hole?
- 3:19:53I had to take a shit. No, no.
- 3:19:57Hard pass. Sweet.
- 3:19:58And Nathan, you got some color on?
- 3:20:00That nose of yours? You, you, you go.
- 3:20:02Yeah. There you go.
- 3:20:03He's got, he's got, he's got some sun.
- 3:20:05He's been outside. He tastes.
- 3:20:06Himself. All.
- 3:20:11Right. Great show guys.
- 3:20:14Thank you. It's called.
- 3:20:15Sex Dora let's go and I just it's.
- 3:20:19Really fun Nathan wants to do. That with Lisa Ann.
- 3:20:22Well, just somebody. Oh, Speaking of Leethan, first
- 3:20:24of all, are you going? To get her on the show or not,
- 3:20:27I'm working. On a Jabba please.
- 3:20:28I love Lisa Ann Jabba. I'm working on it.
- 3:20:32Breaking news. I need her deals every day
- 3:20:35anyway. You might as well ask her to be
- 3:20:36on the show on your breaking news.
- 3:20:39A lot of hot ladies. Breaking.
- 3:20:41News I'm putting you on a leash now somebody's going to put him
- 3:20:46on a leash and comes. On you can't do that.
- 3:20:49No, you. Can't do that.
- 3:20:49No butt plug bagel hole. Fish is a grumpy old man.
- 3:20:54All right. Speaking of grumpy old man, I am
- 3:20:57grumpy. I want to get done with.
- 3:20:59This shout out to Carter. Breaking news.
- 3:21:02Yeah, Carter. Busy all day today?
- 3:21:05Definitely just. Yeah, he's just.
- 3:21:07A scrubby old 19 year. Old kid just.
- 3:21:09Figure it. Out.
- 3:21:11Figure it out. Well, somebody's got to lick it
- 3:21:13and stick. It as.
- 3:21:14We all know, ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:21:15I'd like to. Thank all the fans out there.
- 3:21:17Thank you on all the platforms from Spotify to Apple to Apple
- 3:21:22video to Spotify video and all the audios to TikTok, Instagram,
- 3:21:27Facebook, YouTube, and Speedy's asshole.
- 3:21:29Ladies and gentlemen, we really appreciate all you guys tuning
- 3:21:33in and listening to us throughout the week.
- 3:21:36Keep listening to us, PD. We have any guests on on the
- 3:21:38Wednesday, on Wednesday. Nathan, you got the guest for
- 3:21:40Wednesday. Yes.
- 3:21:42Is that is that point employer? Yep.
- 3:21:44Oh, we're gonna have is he? Is he?
- 3:21:45Actually gonna be here. Yeah.
- 3:21:47All right. So.
- 3:21:48Yeah, current Dolphin. I'm just kidding, man.
- 3:21:50I got it. I know current.
- 3:21:51Dolphin safety, Come on. Man, we'll get Eli.
- 3:21:55We'll get Eli on too. Can I slap you last?
- 3:21:59Somebody, and I think Nathan, wants to slap Jabba's.
- 3:22:01Ass. What do you guys think Speedy?
- 3:22:03Speedy, how big do you think? I don't want to.
- 3:22:05I have a small ass. Listen, I got a small hand, so a
- 3:22:09Jabba's ass will probably look like a grapefruit to.
- 3:22:12My hand, you know, into something.
- 3:22:14Maybe a watermelon Speedy you like.
- 3:22:16I don't care about any conversations about yours.
- 3:22:18Jabba's a Nathan's hand slapping or whatever.
- 3:22:21I mean, what kind of watermelon do you like?
- 3:22:23Do you like hey? Listen, Waterfill, there's
- 3:22:25pitless. And then who would you?
- 3:22:27Who would you take us? Who would you take a hand slap?
- 3:22:31If you. Got a big between me, Errol and
- 3:22:34Nathan. Who would you?
- 3:22:39Grow Errol. Was a, was a.
- 3:22:40What was semi pro fighter? Who?
- 3:22:41Who would you take an ass slap? From Speedy, you don't have to
- 3:22:44answer that question. That's the thing.
- 3:22:46Speedy ball bag. Jake, if there's a yes or no, he
- 3:22:49has shut. Up Errol was a semi.
- 3:22:50Pro was a semi pro. Fighter, amateur fighter,
- 3:22:53whatever year he. Would definitely win that.
- 3:22:55The question who would win? It would be him.
- 3:22:57No, I'm not saying when. Who would?
- 3:22:59Who would you take one by? Who would?
- 3:23:00You rather. A smack.
- 3:23:01Oh, Meese is taking it, yes, Yeah, you're.
- 3:23:04Taking. Pakadu me taking it.
- 3:23:08Oh yeah, I thought you meant I. Thought you meant win.
- 3:23:09Like taking it like my dog. Wants your pussy?
- 3:23:11Tattoo on me I'm I'm I'm gonna. Win.
- 3:23:14I know that. Fish wears.
- 3:23:16Panties. Yeah, I'll go with you because
- 3:23:18the the other. Two probably wouldn't shut up
- 3:23:20about it. Somebody's got a Patty cake on
- 3:23:24Speedy's this. It'll be spreading.
- 3:23:25This'll be spreading it out on. His social media and Arrow won't
- 3:23:28stop talking about it well. You're damn right.
- 3:23:29And, you know, hopefully we'll have somebody here watching me
- 3:23:32do it. What do you think?
- 3:23:33The old Mama, right? No, Mama, dearest.
- 3:23:36No. Why couldn't she say that to me
- 3:23:38while I do it? Where's Brittany?
- 3:23:39Where's Brittany? Oh, by the way, she is Jabba's
- 3:23:44breaking news. I need Brittany also.
- 3:23:46Well, somebody needs Brittany. And that, that's the old NRNR
- 3:23:50hour. Himself Anyways, that's it.
- 3:23:53I, I, I gotta go. I I'm tired.
- 3:23:54I'm loose. Speedy like you.
- 3:23:56Loose is a goose, right? Goosing the loose or boosting
- 3:24:00the caboose of a loose. Douche.
- 3:24:02Right what's what are you talking about?
- 3:24:05Right. I I'm just trying to get him to
- 3:24:07actually believe. What a douche is right Speedy?
- 3:24:09I don't care. What is a douche?
- 3:24:10Say that it doesn't matter. Say it.
- 3:24:12Say what is a douche? I don't care what a douche is.
- 3:24:16OK, there we go. There we go, ladies and.
- 3:24:17Gentlemen, I'm done. It's over.
- 3:24:19I'll see you Wednesday. Goodnight.
