- 0:52Speaker 1: you're feeling about Sister Wives or anything else, even if
- 0:55Speaker 1: it's the poop high rocks thing.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'm wondering what's happening with that girl.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I think she had to give up her accolades and
- 1:03Speaker 3: her win. Really?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Did it come with money? Did she pay it back?
- 1:07Speaker 3: I don't know if it came with money, but she
- 1:09Speaker 3: had to give up her win.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:10Speaker 3: And she had to issue an apology. Okay.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Well, or other current events. You guys can call about that.
- 1:15Speaker 1: And speaking of high rocks, I was out on a
- 1:17Speaker 1: walk the other day.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Are you training for high rocks? I wasn't training for
- 1:20Speaker 3: high rocks, but I.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Was doing kind of a longer walk. Normally I'll walk
- 1:23Speaker 1: every day, like three to four miles typically.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm an athlete. But like I was out for
- 1:31Speaker 1: quite a bit of time, probably more like a seven
- 1:33Speaker 1: mile walk.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Which for me is pretty long. And at about, I
- 1:37Speaker 1: don't know, 5.8 miles, I was far away from the house.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I was struck. I was struck with this sudden realization that, oh, damn,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I gots to poop.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And it was right after that argument with my husband
- 1:52Speaker 1: about the teaspoons. And so, which I covered in a
- 1:57Speaker 1: previous podcast, which I didn't want to call him to
- 1:59Speaker 1: come and get me because I had to poop.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Because you were mad also.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I was like two miles, two and a half miles
- 2:03Speaker 1: away from my home. I was high rocks in, I
- 2:08Speaker 1: was high rocks in those two miles all the way home.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And it was close, honey, because you know, the closer
- 2:12Speaker 1: you get to home, the more urgent your body knows
- 2:16Speaker 1: your body's like, okay, pretty soon I'm going to be
- 2:18Speaker 1: able to sit on a toilet and get it all out. Honey,
- 2:21Speaker 1: by the time I was crossing my legs, yeah, I
- 2:24Speaker 1: almost high rocks. So I spent a lot of time,
- 2:27Speaker 1: you know, having my opinion about that girl. She was
- 2:29Speaker 1: an Olympian and an athlete like myself. And the next
- 2:32Speaker 1: thing you know, I'm out there almost pooping.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Do you have more compassion for her then because she lost.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Control of her mouth?
- 2:37Speaker 3: No, I don't. I don't.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I told my brother too that that happened to me.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And he told me that there's this woman who walks
- 2:44Speaker 1: around the neighborhood, his neighborhood, up and down the streets.
- 2:48Speaker 1: She may have like a mental illness.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I don't know. Oh, no.
- 2:51Speaker 1: But she's always out there like first thing in the
- 2:52Speaker 1: morning and she poops in people's yards. Like she pooped
- 2:56Speaker 1: in my brother's yard. And he's got the ring cameras
- 2:59Speaker 1: so he can see her. She pulls down her little
- 3:01Speaker 1: gym shorts and she poops and pees in people's yards.
- 3:05Speaker 1: So I'm thinking I could do that.
- 3:08Speaker 5: These bitches.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I mean, people do that with their dogs. So why not?
- 3:12Speaker 1: They do it all the time.
- 3:13Speaker 3: But anyway. Oh my God, that's terrible.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's a wild world out there.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It is a wild world.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That's all I'm trying to say. And if you want
- 3:18Speaker 1: to call, speak by and talk to us about your
- 3:20Speaker 1: wild experiences. We're here, babes.
- 3:22Speaker 3: We'd love to hear it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Okay. So for our first call, what do we got?
- 3:27Speaker 3: Let's see. Who do we got? We got a call
- 3:29Speaker 3: from Paige.
- 3:30Speaker 5: Paige?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Wow.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Hey, Delia and Beatrice. I am Paige, and I'm calling
- 3:36Speaker 5: from an Oklahoma dumpster. What a dumpster it is.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Anyway, I just wanted to talk about how I felt
- 3:44Speaker 6: about Cody and Robin leaving.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I honestly am pretty excited about it.
- 3:50Speaker 6: I think that the reason why the last couple of
- 3:53Speaker 6: seasons have been so unwatchable and boring is are because
- 3:57Speaker 6: of Cody's.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Control over production.
- 4:00Speaker 6: And I think that to keep this show going, they're
- 4:05Speaker 6: going to have to do something different. And I do
- 4:08Speaker 6: understand you guys's point that like, reality TV needs a villain.
- 4:12Speaker 6: But I think Cody can still be the villain, even
- 4:15Speaker 6: though he's not on because all of the women's choices
- 4:20Speaker 6: are informed by their relationship with Cody because they were
- 4:24Speaker 6: married to him for 30 years and that's like all
- 4:26Speaker 6: they knew you know um but I'm really excited for
- 4:30Speaker 6: this season and I was wondering what you guys thought
- 4:32Speaker 6: about it if you guys are excited to see if
- 4:34Speaker 6: they could turn a new leaf for sister wives or
- 4:38Speaker 6: if you think it's just gonna be a shit show
- 4:39Speaker 6: and it's gonna be canceled after like this season so
- 4:43Speaker 6: thanks guys Look.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'm one of those people. I really do think that
- 4:49Speaker 3: reality TV does need a little bit of a villain.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I do think you got a point page about how
- 4:55Speaker 3: Cody could still be the villain without him being there.
- 4:58Speaker 3: And that is true. If the OG three make him
- 5:02Speaker 3: the villain and like talk shit about him as if
- 5:05Speaker 3: he's the villain. I just don't have any hope that
- 5:07Speaker 3: they're going to do that, especially after the last two
- 5:10Speaker 3: episodes we've seen. I know this, this voice message is
- 5:12Speaker 3: a little bit older. It was before the season. So,
- 5:16Speaker 3: I mean, I'm trying not to be a Debbie Downer
- 5:20Speaker 3: over here. I want the season to be entertaining. I
- 5:23Speaker 3: am glad to see the OG3 live their lives without
- 5:27Speaker 3: Cody and Robin. I think it's awesome. And some of
- 5:30Speaker 3: the best revenge is, you know, thriving after abuse like this.
- 5:35Speaker 3: You know what I mean? So, like, I think that's
- 5:37Speaker 3: great that they're all doing their own thing. I just
- 5:39Speaker 3: want them to talk shit. I want them to, like,
- 5:42Speaker 3: stoop a little bit. down to like a bad level
- 5:47Speaker 3: where they're being a little mean and critical of Cody
- 5:48Speaker 3: and Robin.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I want them to go to hell with it.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I really want them to go off about it. I
- 5:53Speaker 3: just don't think that they will. So that's why I
- 5:55Speaker 3: think it's not going to be a super entertaining season
- 5:58Speaker 3: because we're not going to get the tea. But I'm
- 6:02Speaker 3: just toxic, okay? So I'm just like a walking red flag.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Like I want them to be mean. So that's just
- 6:08Speaker 3: my opinion.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to agree with Paige that I am...
- 6:14Speaker 1: While at the same time, noticing the dynamics are different
- 6:18Speaker 1: this season, and I don't necessarily like it because Cody
- 6:21Speaker 1: and Robin aren't there. I, at the same time, very
- 6:24Speaker 1: much appreciate not having both of them on my screen
- 6:28Speaker 1: because for whatever reason I was getting turbo parasocial. I
- 6:32Speaker 1: was like, I was always triggered by both of them
- 6:35Speaker 1: because they never got called to the carpet for the
- 6:40Speaker 1: shit that they did. Like Paige said, production was constantly
- 6:43Speaker 1: covering for them. There was never any accountability. We had
- 6:47Speaker 1: Sukanya every fucking year just kissing the ring. It was
- 6:51Speaker 1: making me have high blood pressure. And so this is
- 6:54Speaker 1: a definite different vibe. And I like being calmer. But
- 6:59Speaker 1: at the same time, I'm almost asleep. I'm so calm
- 7:02Speaker 1: that I am sleeping because I'm bored and I am
- 7:05Speaker 1: a little bit worried about where we're going. But I
- 7:08Speaker 1: talked about that in our last episode. Paige, you called
- 7:12Speaker 1: before you watched any of the episodes. And so I'm
- 7:15Speaker 1: curious and I would like to invite you to call
- 7:16Speaker 1: back now after seeing the first one or two episodes.
- 7:20Speaker 1: How are you feeling about the show? What are you thinking?
- 7:23Speaker 1: Are you liking it? I would love to hear that feedback.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I would love that too. So thank you for your call.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Next one we have is from Tanya. Okay.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Hi, ladies.
- 7:33Speaker 4: It's Tanya from a dumpster here in Houston where apparently
- 7:36Speaker 4: we just don't ever get any other season except summer.
- 7:41Speaker 4: So we're still sitting on 100-something degrees. I know you
- 7:44Speaker 4: guys are here too. Just sweating it out.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I'm sick of it.
- 7:49Speaker 4: But I think as far as Cody and Robin leaving
- 7:53Speaker 4: the show, I think I agree with the theory that
- 7:56Speaker 4: you all have that they didn't leave the show. I
- 7:59Speaker 4: think that they overplayed their hand. I think that Cody
- 8:04Speaker 4: probably did try to retire Robin because she just couldn't
- 8:06Speaker 4: take the backlash anymore. But he wasn't going to retire
- 8:10Speaker 4: her salary. I think he wanted to stay on and
- 8:15Speaker 4: still get paid what they both get paid combined to
- 8:18Speaker 4: be on the show, but her not have to be
- 8:20Speaker 4: on the show. And the producers were like, yeah, right.
- 8:26Speaker 4: We're not doing that. So either you get what you
- 8:29Speaker 4: get and you don't throw a fit or bye. And
- 8:32Speaker 4: of course he threw a fit because he believes he
- 8:35Speaker 4: is the show. And that was it. You will no
- 8:39Speaker 4: longer be on the show then. Do I think the
- 8:41Speaker 4: show is going to be good without them?
- 8:43Speaker 3: No, no.
- 8:44Speaker 4: I think it's going to be a snooze fest unless
- 8:46Speaker 4: these ladies start talking and really, you know, saying what
- 8:49Speaker 4: was what and what happened and what the real truth
- 8:52Speaker 4: is of everything. But you know, Mary's going to be like, no,
- 8:55Speaker 4: I don't want to say anything. I'm not going to
- 8:58Speaker 4: be that person. And Christina will be pissed.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Well, she was right about that. Well, in my opinion,
- 9:04Speaker 1: that this show is kind of sucking. But I do
- 9:08Speaker 1: think that that is what happened. They overplayed their hand.
- 9:12Speaker 1: They asked for too much. They felt they were worth it.
- 9:15Speaker 1: The only thing is that I really feel that if
- 9:19Speaker 1: this season tanks, as I predict that it will, and
- 9:22Speaker 1: that people are going to be very critical of it
- 9:23Speaker 1: and of production, it really does open a door for
- 9:28Speaker 1: Cody to walk back through with his own terms and say, okay,
- 9:31Speaker 1: if you guys want this back, because again, I say,
- 9:34Speaker 1: this was the second most popular and highly viewed show
- 9:39Speaker 1: on TLC behind 90 Day Fiance last season, even during
- 9:44Speaker 1: the apology tour, like everybody was watching, like over a
- 9:47Speaker 1: million people were watching. I don't know what the ratings
- 9:50Speaker 1: are going to be at the end of this season,
- 9:51Speaker 1: but like if they're low, I do think Cody could
- 9:54Speaker 1: come back and say, okay, well, if you want to
- 9:55Speaker 1: turn it around, I'm your guy, but it's going to
- 9:58Speaker 1: be on my terms. This is what we're going to do.
- 10:00Speaker 1: this is how i want the show to be robin's
- 10:02Speaker 1: not going to be in it etc i think he
- 10:04Speaker 1: overplayed his hand but i think there's a way for
- 10:07Speaker 1: him to weasel back in.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I think it would be really stupid on production's part
- 10:11Speaker 3: if they did give him that much power back because
- 10:15Speaker 3: we all know and we all were very critical of
- 10:18Speaker 3: the last couple seasons, like just as Paige had mentioned
- 10:20Speaker 3: in her call before, the last few seasons were really
- 10:23Speaker 3: hard to watch because Cody and Robin had so much
- 10:25Speaker 3: influence on what was allowed to be said and what
- 10:29Speaker 3: storylines were allowed to be shared. And nobody fucking liked
- 10:31Speaker 3: that shit. It was annoying to watch and it was
- 10:34Speaker 3: actually really enraging. So I think TLC would be really
- 10:38Speaker 3: stupid to bring them back and to give Cody and Robin...
- 10:43Speaker 3: whatever they wanted. And ultimately, I don't think that they
- 10:46Speaker 3: deserve to be back on the show. Like, especially if
- 10:48Speaker 3: they did overplay their hand and they did kind of
- 10:51Speaker 3: get ousted or fired from TLC. I don't think they
- 10:53Speaker 3: deserve to come back. If they want to come back
- 10:56Speaker 3: for maybe like one tell-all, that would be kind of
- 10:59Speaker 3: funny because they wouldn't have as much control as what
- 11:02Speaker 3: they're used to. So then they would have to watch,
- 11:04Speaker 3: you know, things back and get all mad that Janelle's
- 11:08Speaker 3: got a new man and Mary doesn't give a shit
- 11:11Speaker 3: about them anymore and isn't simping for them and like
- 11:13Speaker 3: nobody's really talking about them that would be interesting that's
- 11:17Speaker 3: the other point that I have too is like if
- 11:20Speaker 3: the OG3 are not going to talk shit Cody and
- 11:22Speaker 3: Robin don't really have any reason to come back or
- 11:24Speaker 3: react to anything or bring any kind of drama or
- 11:30Speaker 3: vitriol if like nobody's talking about them.
- 11:33Speaker 7: Right.
- 11:33Speaker 3: But at the same time, all of us viewers are
- 11:36Speaker 3: like really wanting the OG3 to talk about them. And
- 11:39Speaker 3: so then if they do talk shit about them, then
- 11:42Speaker 3: that gives Cody and Robin something to react to. So
- 11:44Speaker 3: I feel like it's kind of a double-edged sword. Maybe
- 11:46Speaker 3: that's why the OG3 aren't saying much of anything because
- 11:50Speaker 3: they don't want to give Cody and Robin power. I
- 11:52Speaker 3: think it's kind of a weird place to be, honestly,
- 11:55Speaker 3: because the show has had Cody and for 20 seasons
- 12:00Speaker 3: and so it is kind of a weird vibe in
- 12:02Speaker 3: general to just have the og3 maybe that's why it
- 12:04Speaker 3: kind of sucks a little bit maybe that's why it's
- 12:06Speaker 3: kind of boring because we're all not used to it
- 12:10Speaker 3: maybe it'll get better.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Dude it would rock though if they were just telling
- 12:13Speaker 1: the truth and dragging cody and robin it would be
- 12:14Speaker 1: the best thing.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Ever and that's the thing it's like a fine line
- 12:17Speaker 3: like maybe they don't want to talk shit and be
- 12:20Speaker 3: mean but at the same time it's like it would
- 12:21Speaker 3: be great if you could drop some truth it'd be
- 12:25Speaker 3: awesome like i said a couple weeks ago like Do
- 12:27Speaker 3: a Sister Wives Rewind and watch some old episodes and
- 12:30Speaker 3: react to it and give us your commentary. Like, even
- 12:32Speaker 3: that would be so entertaining. And maybe they have that
- 12:35Speaker 3: planned for later in the season. I don't fucking know.
- 12:37Speaker 3: We're only on episode two. And maybe we're just being
- 12:40Speaker 3: a little harsh because we're bored. And we expected a
- 12:43Speaker 3: little bit more. oomph at the beginning of the season
- 12:47Speaker 3: but I guess we'll see how it progresses and I
- 12:50Speaker 3: do love the theory of Cody and Robin getting fired
- 12:53Speaker 3: because I think that's awesome.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Oh my god can we just all sit in that
- 12:56Speaker 1: just for a second just a little bit come together
- 12:58Speaker 1: a little bit and meditate on the image of Cody
- 13:01Speaker 1: getting the response to his offer to stay with the
- 13:06Speaker 1: show but I would like double my salary and Robin
- 13:08Speaker 1: cannot actually film it's just going to be me because
- 13:11Speaker 1: I am the show and these are my terms and
- 13:13Speaker 1: then He receives word back from TLC. Well, we're going
- 13:16Speaker 1: to go in a different direction. Thank you, though, for
- 13:18Speaker 1: all of these years and everything you've done.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I love that.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Bye now. What do we think he did? What was
- 13:23Speaker 1: that night like?
- 13:24Speaker 6: Yes.
- 13:25Speaker 1: In McMansion number two with Robin and her dolls and Cody.
- 13:30Speaker 3: And that's the other thing, too. Like, I don't really
- 13:32Speaker 3: want them to come back because I don't want them
- 13:34Speaker 3: to get money from the show. Because I kind of
- 13:37Speaker 3: want to see what happens.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Oh God, I know.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Like, and I'm not, I'm not wishing anything.
- 13:41Speaker 1: We shouldn't do that.
- 13:42Speaker 3: I'm not wishing bankruptcy or anything like that.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Of course not.
- 13:45Speaker 3: But I do kind of want to see what happens
- 13:48Speaker 3: with their McMansion and whether or not they're going to
- 13:50Speaker 3: be able to afford all of that because- We all
- 13:53Speaker 3: know Robin ain't working. She's too busy playing dress up
- 13:56Speaker 3: with her dolls and getting high on Ambien. Allegedly, in
- 13:59Speaker 3: our opinion. Cody's not working, allegedly. I mean, he's doing
- 14:03Speaker 3: cameos and stuff.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Who's ordering those?
- 14:06Speaker 3: I mean, we should order one. we should totally order
- 14:11Speaker 3: one and ask him to watch our podcast that'd be
- 14:13Speaker 3: so awesome oh god that'd be so great but like
- 14:16Speaker 3: that can't sustain their 10 to 12 thousand dollar mortgage
- 14:20Speaker 3: lifestyle and all of the other stuff that they're financing
- 14:23Speaker 3: so i mean i don't really want them to come
- 14:25Speaker 3: back for that reason i just.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Want to see what happens Well, but like, you know,
- 14:28Speaker 1: when they received word that TLC was a no-go, they
- 14:31Speaker 1: must have like at first been very indignant. Like, well,
- 14:34Speaker 1: they think they can do it without us and very angry.
- 14:37Speaker 1: And Cody's like, well, I can go on any show
- 14:38Speaker 1: and people want me. But like, what about a month later?
- 14:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Two months later. When the reality sets in. What about
- 14:46Speaker 1: the house and the mortgage and the cars and college?
- 14:50Speaker 1: And what about all of this stuff? Geez, I would
- 14:52Speaker 1: just love to be a fly on the wall.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Oh my God, I would love it so much.
- 14:55Speaker 1: There's got to be a little panic, right?
- 14:57Speaker 3: Oh, totally.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I mean, maybe Cody's not panicking because he seems completely
- 15:01Speaker 1: narcissistic and detached from reality, but I got to believe Robin,
- 15:05Speaker 1: who knows the value of a dollar and how to
- 15:07Speaker 1: spend it, is panicking in that house by the mines.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I mean, she has to be, dude. I just don't
- 15:12Speaker 3: think there's a way that they can afford this unless
- 15:14Speaker 3: they are totally leveraged on debt.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I bet they are, but I'm sorry. I just got this.
- 15:20Speaker 1: This image of Robin because, you know, she manifests.
- 15:22Speaker 6: Right.
- 15:23Speaker 1: She's got her crystal towers. Like she leaves the house
- 15:25Speaker 1: at night at moonlight to go for a walk down
- 15:27Speaker 1: by the mines.
- 15:28Speaker 3: And howl at the moon?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah, down by the mines and just like have a
- 15:31Speaker 1: quiet moment where she can envision for herself how they
- 15:33Speaker 1: can turn this around and make even more money than
- 15:36Speaker 1: they ever made before. She believes it's possible. And so
- 15:38Speaker 1: she's down there chanting by the mines, calling to the moon.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Moon, I need you.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Help me, moon. Manifest my future. She's wearing some sort
- 15:48Speaker 1: of a cloak.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 1: God, with a hood and everything.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Like Bohemian Grove.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Yeah, like Bohemian Grove with the mines.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I love to think about it. So thank you for
- 15:58Speaker 3: your call, Tanya.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Thanks, Tanya.
- 16:00Speaker 3: All right, next one we have. Their name is Bishop.
- 16:02Speaker 7: Hey, ladies. I love listening to your podcast. I just
- 16:06Speaker 7: wanted to point out on the back door, though, every
- 16:10Speaker 7: time that it's brought up frustrates the shit out of
- 16:13Speaker 7: me because Cody did not mention Janelle until.
- 16:19Speaker 7: He was asked to clarify that question. He said he
- 16:21Speaker 7: could just distribute the money to his personal will. And
- 16:25Speaker 7: Suki finally asked a good follow-up question and said, whoa, wait,
- 16:30Speaker 7: what are you talking about there? And then he immediately
- 16:33Speaker 7: grabs Janelle and throws her big back underneath the bus.
- 16:38Speaker 7: So I feel like that needs to be the primary
- 16:41Speaker 7: bit of that conversation that he was.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Just trying to deflect.
- 16:45Speaker 7: He was doing normal narcissist things like a narcissist do. Anyway,
- 16:50Speaker 7: I love listening to you guys. Keep up the good work.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Bye.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Well, that's interesting, Bishop. But I do want to say,
- 16:56Speaker 1: I think Robin also supported this version of that during
- 17:00Speaker 1: her talking heads with Sukanya. Didn't she also say that
- 17:03Speaker 1: she had heard that Janelle and Cody wanted to do
- 17:06Speaker 1: the deal and she was the rock in the way?
- 17:08Speaker 1: She would not let them do it. She would not
- 17:10Speaker 1: let Cody do Mary like that.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that was just her way of manipulating
- 17:14Speaker 3: the situation and trying to have Cody's back, though.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah, but it does imply that they both talked about
- 17:19Speaker 1: it ahead of time. So she didn't act shocked that
- 17:21Speaker 1: she heard this news. She's like, no, that's what happened.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And I put a stop to it. So it felt
- 17:26Speaker 1: to me like they were actually planning to throw Janelle
- 17:28Speaker 1: under the bus.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Totally. I think it was all planned and orchestrated by
- 17:32Speaker 3: Cody and Robin to try and take the heat off
- 17:34Speaker 3: of them. Because I think that if they thought, oh,
- 17:37Speaker 3: what if they expose us for the fact that we
- 17:39Speaker 3: were trying to take all the money for ourselves? Like
- 17:42Speaker 3: we have to throw somebody under the bus. you know,
- 17:44Speaker 3: whether or not the conversation actually happened between Janelle and
- 17:47Speaker 3: Cody and whether or not Janelle was actually into it
- 17:51Speaker 3: or not. I mean, it's like up for debate. And honestly,
- 17:53Speaker 3: the whole conversation pisses me off too. Cause I like,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I'm tired of hearing about it. I mean, we've been
- 17:57Speaker 3: talking about it for like so long at this point,
- 18:01Speaker 3: it's kind of annoying. Um, and it's like a moot
- 18:03Speaker 3: point because everybody got their money anyway, like the shit
- 18:07Speaker 3: sold it's done. We don't need to talk about a
- 18:10Speaker 3: backdoor deal. Who cares? That's kind of like my point
- 18:14Speaker 3: on it. I just, you know, I think that Cody
- 18:16Speaker 3: was throwing Janelle under the bus because he wants to
- 18:18Speaker 3: take smoke off of him. And he does that all
- 18:20Speaker 3: the time. He deflects blame for pretty much everything. And
- 18:23Speaker 3: I think Robin was just parroting what he had said
- 18:26Speaker 3: to her. Like, this is our story. So we got
- 18:30Speaker 3: to stick with it. Yeah.
- 18:31Speaker 1: My point is, I just don't think it was as
- 18:33Speaker 1: spontaneous as an in the moment deflection. I think this
- 18:37Speaker 1: is something that they were working.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 1: That they were working in their mind. And he had
- 18:41Speaker 1: no problem at the end of the day throwing Janelle
- 18:43Speaker 1: under the bus.
- 18:44Speaker 2: For sure.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Making her look like a villain. I think that he
- 18:46Speaker 1: does take a perverse little pleasure in doing that to
- 18:49Speaker 1: these women. 100%.
- 18:50Speaker 3: And that's what he's been doing the last several years.
- 18:52Speaker 3: And that's why it's been so frustrating to watch them.
- 18:55Speaker 3: So good riddance. Fuck off. Goodbye. Enjoy your house by
- 18:57Speaker 3: the mines. So thank you for your call, Bishop. And
- 19:01Speaker 3: the last one we have is from Ashley. Okay.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Hi, B & D. I'm calling from a dumpster in...
- 19:10Speaker 2: super hot and humid still in October, Houston, Texas. And
- 19:16Speaker 2: I am so excited for this season. Now that I've
- 19:20Speaker 2: seen episode two, I don't miss Cody and Robin at all.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Episode one, I was kind of like, I mean, I
- 19:28Speaker 2: don't know what we're going to do without them, but
- 19:31Speaker 2: I love that we're watching the three of the OG
- 19:36Speaker 2: wives mature. I don't know. I, I'm excited to see
- 19:41Speaker 2: this journey and I'm really glad that there seems to
- 19:45Speaker 2: be something that we can follow without Cody and Robin
- 19:48Speaker 2: just bringing everybody down. so I'm kind of excited for
- 19:53Speaker 2: this and I'm also excited that we had some flashbacks
- 19:56Speaker 2: of some things that we've never seen before so we
- 19:58Speaker 2: didn't have the same old flashbacks so I just I
- 20:03Speaker 2: think that there's potential here I don't know what we're
- 20:05Speaker 2: going to do after this season but I think there's
- 20:07Speaker 2: potential for this one so I'm excited to see it
- 20:10Speaker 2: What flashbacks?
- 20:11Speaker 1: The curtain babies? I think so. Curtain babies. What else though?
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I was totally zoned out in
- 20:19Speaker 3: this episode. So I don't remember all of the flashbacks, honestly.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I think we've seen some of them. There have been
- 20:24Speaker 3: like a little, like, I think there's like little family
- 20:27Speaker 3: flashbacks that we probably haven't seen, but nothing that is interesting.
- 20:32Speaker 1: No, or new, like giving us new information at all.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But I just have to say, Ashley, I think you
- 20:39Speaker 1: are such a nice person.
- 20:40Speaker 3: You're so sweet.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I think you're a kind-hearted, wholesome individual who likes to
- 20:46Speaker 1: see these three women win. You're glad that we don't
- 20:49Speaker 1: have to put up with those antagonists, those ain't shit
- 20:53Speaker 1: Cody and Robin people. Uh, thieves. I think that is
- 20:57Speaker 1: such a wonderful thing. Never lose that. I wish I
- 21:00Speaker 1: had more of that. I personally, as I discussed, um,
- 21:04Speaker 1: a lot already, I, I'm, I'm not really enjoying this.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I think that this is a wasted opportunity. I think
- 21:11Speaker 1: that this could be fire, absolute fire. I think that
- 21:16Speaker 1: this could go in so many cool directions and totally
- 21:19Speaker 1: change the game and get more people on board and
- 21:23Speaker 1: And again, I likened it last time to Colin Gosselin,
- 21:26Speaker 1: who just released his book, A Tell All, about his mom,
- 21:30Speaker 1: Kate Gosselin, and the show John and Kate Plus Eight.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Colin alleges that he was abused directly by Kate, not
- 21:39Speaker 1: just verbal, but emotional and physical as well. Like the
- 21:43Speaker 1: claims that Colin is coming out with are a bit wild.
- 21:46Speaker 1: That's the kind of energy I think that these cast
- 21:49Speaker 1: members need to bring to the show if they want
- 21:52Speaker 1: to revive it if they want to vitalize it and
- 21:57Speaker 1: bring some new energy and keep toxic people like Beatrice
- 22:01Speaker 1: and Delia on the hook and salivating for more. Like
- 22:04Speaker 1: if you give me some secrets, if you pull the
- 22:07Speaker 1: curtain away and show me what was really going on
- 22:10Speaker 1: with the money, with the sex, with the favoritism, with
- 22:14Speaker 1: the homes, like that for me would keep me invested
- 22:18Speaker 1: for years.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Oh, totally.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Absolute years. But like these first couple of episodes are
- 22:23Speaker 1: an indication to me that they don't want to do that.
- 22:26Speaker 1: It's just more of the same, but just dressed up
- 22:28Speaker 1: in a different version, same show, different font.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I just don't really share your opinion, Ashley, but I
- 22:34Speaker 1: love you for having it.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I do really appreciate your optimism. And honestly, I wish
- 22:39Speaker 3: I was more like you in that way, because I,
- 22:43Speaker 3: when I first watched the last two episodes, I was like, damn,
- 22:47Speaker 3: this is where we're going. I immediately became pessimistic about it.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but we do that though.
- 22:52Speaker 3: We do. We're kind of.
- 22:53Speaker 2: We do.
- 22:54Speaker 1: We need to change that about ourselves.
- 22:55Speaker 3: We need to change it. New Year's resolution.
- 22:56Speaker 1: We need to call Nancy.
- 22:57Speaker 3: We do need to call Nancy. We just have a
- 23:00Speaker 3: family meeting.
- 23:00Speaker 1: We're going to sit down with Nancy.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Family counseling. So I do appreciate your optimism. And honestly,
- 23:05Speaker 3: I'm just going to manifest that for this season because...
- 23:07Speaker 3: Put your cloak on. I think we need that. Put
- 23:10Speaker 3: my cloak on. I'm going to go chant to the
- 23:11Speaker 3: moon and the owl god and hope that we can
- 23:16Speaker 3: have an entertaining season. I do agree with you, Ashley,
- 23:19Speaker 3: that I don't really miss Cody and Robin. And like
- 23:22Speaker 3: I had said, you know, a couple calls ago, I
- 23:25Speaker 3: don't really want them to come back to the show.
- 23:27Speaker 3: As much as I like want drama and I want
- 23:31Speaker 3: tea spilled and truth spilled, I really don't want Cody
- 23:34Speaker 3: and Robin to prosper or to come back on the show.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I don't want them to be on any spinoff. I
- 23:38Speaker 3: don't want them to be on TV. I want them
- 23:40Speaker 3: to be barred from anything. filming anything ever again okay
- 23:45Speaker 3: because i don't want them to be able to prosper
- 23:47Speaker 3: at all i don't think.
- 23:50Speaker 1: That's good spiritually speaking for you to have that neither
- 23:52Speaker 1: is chanting to the moon why she could try to
- 23:55Speaker 1: manifest stuff but i mean having that intention that people
- 23:57Speaker 1: shouldn't prosper like i don't think we should do that
- 23:59Speaker 1: well we should pray for enemies i.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Just i don't want them to prosper Well, because they're
- 24:04Speaker 3: so evil. That's what I'm saying.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And they stole, in my opinion, allegedly from their women
- 24:09Speaker 1: and children. Fuck them. Like they're terrible people. I wrestle
- 24:12Speaker 1: with this all the time because of course I exist
- 24:14Speaker 1: on the planet with everybody else. I see how crazy
- 24:16Speaker 1: it is out there and how crazy people are. And
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'm just like, I mean, a few of those people
- 24:20Speaker 1: could be dispatched into the Decagon of Saturn and I
- 24:23Speaker 1: wouldn't miss them.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Just go off my planet. You don't belong on the
- 24:28Speaker 1: planet with the people. I kind of feel that way
- 24:30Speaker 1: about Cody and Robin.
- 24:31Speaker 3: That's kind of how I feel too. And that's like,
- 24:33Speaker 3: you know, I obviously don't wish ill will on them.
- 24:36Speaker 3: I just want, no, I just want justice. Like I
- 24:39Speaker 3: just don't want evil people to be able to prosper.
- 24:42Speaker 3: I don't think that makes me a bad person.
- 24:44Speaker 1: That's a different way to state it. And I agree
- 24:46Speaker 1: with that.
- 24:47Speaker 3: That's my thing. I want, I want justice. I want retribution.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I want, them to get their just desserts i want
- 24:55Speaker 3: karma to be real for them so yeah i do
- 24:57Speaker 3: agree with you ashley i don't miss them i don't
- 24:59Speaker 3: want them back on the show i just want a
- 25:01Speaker 3: little bit more from the og3 and i will say
- 25:05Speaker 3: i'm just gonna say i hope that you're right i
- 25:07Speaker 3: hope that this season's gonna be entertaining i don't know
- 25:09Speaker 3: if it's gonna be entertaining for another season after this.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I wish i knew what the ladies wanted like what
- 25:16Speaker 1: is their vision for the show like is their vision
- 25:19Speaker 1: that this is the final season Because then I could
- 25:21Speaker 1: approach watching it from that perspective.
- 25:23Speaker 3: For sure.
- 25:24Speaker 1: And I could probably enjoy it a lot more. But
- 25:26Speaker 1: is your vision that you want to keep doing the show?
- 25:29Speaker 1: And if so, is this an example of the show
- 25:32Speaker 1: that you want to keep doing? Because then I have
- 25:34Speaker 1: a problem. Then I am screaming into a microphone for
- 25:37Speaker 1: years to come.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Well, we shouldn't be like milking this cow for all
- 25:42Speaker 3: it's worth. Let it end when it's supposed to end.
- 25:45Speaker 3: And then you guys can do your own things. If
- 25:46Speaker 3: you guys want to sign up, for like Christine cooks
- 25:49Speaker 3: or something and Janelle doing her HGTV thing. Like that's fine.
- 25:53Speaker 3: And I probably would watch that, you know, when I'm
- 25:56Speaker 3: doing other things, like doing the dishes or whatever.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Well, which wife of the OG3 do you think needs
- 26:04Speaker 1: sister wives the most?
- 26:05Speaker 3: Ooh, interesting.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I was actually thinking about it watching. And if this
- 26:11Speaker 1: went away and this money went away, which of these
- 26:15Speaker 1: wives would do the best?
- 26:17Speaker 3: Oh interesting what do you think i feel like either
- 26:21Speaker 3: mary or janelle probably need the show the most because
- 26:24Speaker 3: mary closed on her bmb so what's she making money
- 26:27Speaker 3: off of lula row i mean who's buying that crap.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I think for her autumn festival she's going to be
- 26:32Speaker 1: letting people into the shed to see the clothes yeah
- 26:35Speaker 1: which nobody's going to be buying well i'm sure somebody
- 26:38Speaker 1: i would buy something if i went there from and
- 26:39Speaker 1: i would wear it on the podcast.
- 26:43Speaker 3: You need to buy one of those ugly printed leggings.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I would love to do that. But truly, I don't
- 26:47Speaker 1: know what she's doing on the little row. I know
- 26:49Speaker 1: she's on Facebook. She's shucking and jiving all the time
- 26:52Speaker 1: for the coins. But she probably does need sister wives.
- 26:56Speaker 1: And I think Janelle too.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Yeah, because Janelle has Tiana Farms and she's got to
- 27:00Speaker 3: be able to fund that somehow. And she just built
- 27:02Speaker 3: two houses on the land and everything. And I know
- 27:04Speaker 3: Maddie is like helping supplement some of that.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure Maddie built her own house and also
- 27:10Speaker 1: contributed money. to the price of the land.
- 27:11Speaker 3: But still like they probably need the extra bump from
- 27:15Speaker 3: sister wives. I don't think Christine needs it as much.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I don't think so either. That was my thought too.
- 27:20Speaker 3: But at the same time, I was talking to Ethel
- 27:22Speaker 3: about it earlier today. And she thinks that David wants
- 27:25Speaker 3: Christine to still be on the show because he wants
- 27:27Speaker 3: the money. Because even though he's probably got a successful
- 27:31Speaker 3: construction business, he's probably looking at this bag like, this
- 27:34Speaker 3: is dope. We can buy a couple more Airbnbs. We
- 27:37Speaker 3: can buy another sick ass RV and maybe some go-karts
- 27:41Speaker 3: or something to go riding around in the desert and Moab.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Like he's probably seeing it from a financial lens. And
- 27:47Speaker 3: I thought that that was kind of an interesting theory
- 27:49Speaker 3: because otherwise, why are they on the show? It's not
- 27:52Speaker 3: like Christine wants to keep rehashing her past with Cody.
- 27:55Speaker 3: And it's not like David really wants to be.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I don't know because every time I see David on Instagram,
- 28:00Speaker 1: he really seems to want to be there. He's sitting
- 28:02Speaker 1: right there next to Christine. He's sat. He's talking.
- 28:05Speaker 4: He's sharing.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Actually, a lot of the time I'm like, why are
- 28:08Speaker 1: you talking? Why are you talking about polygamy? Why are
- 28:11Speaker 1: you talking for Christine? Let Christine talk for herself. Like
- 28:14Speaker 1: sometimes he bothers me because he puts himself forward so much.
- 28:18Speaker 1: So I do think he wants to be there. And
- 28:20Speaker 1: I think it's because he likes the attention personally. It
- 28:24Speaker 1: could be the money, but I also think he likes
- 28:25Speaker 1: that as well. But I thought that too, if this
- 28:28Speaker 1: went away, if the money went away, the last woman
- 28:31Speaker 1: standing in a good position, I think would be Christine
- 28:34Speaker 1: because she's got a husband. She's got a home. She's
- 28:37Speaker 1: got her multiple streams of income and she's got a book.
- 28:41Speaker 1: And I think she still does her MLM stuff. And
- 28:43Speaker 1: so I'm sure she'd be secure. But then Cody and
- 28:46Speaker 1: Robin would probably lose McMansion number two, and they'd have
- 28:49Speaker 1: to downgrade into some sort of a mid-mod ranch.
- 28:52Speaker 3: OMG.
- 28:53Speaker 1: 1,700 square foot or something like that.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 28:56Speaker 1: And Mary, she's got the B & B, which she reno'd.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I can tell from the previews that she reno'd. Oh,
- 29:02Speaker 1: my God. I'm going to get there when I get there.
- 29:04Speaker 2: I know.
- 29:04Speaker 1: But it's just like she sunk all that money into
- 29:06Speaker 1: the haunted B & B. And how much longer can
- 29:11Speaker 1: LuLaRoe go on?
- 29:11Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Who's buying that shit? Is she plunking away money into
- 29:14Speaker 1: her retirement? How is she going to sustain herself? I
- 29:18Speaker 1: don't know. Is Worthy Up really lucrative?
- 29:20Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I do think Christine's in the best position out of everybody.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I think so too.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 3: We kind of went on on a tangent there about
- 29:28Speaker 3: the trajectory of this season. I think ultimately we don't
- 29:32Speaker 3: think it's going to go past this season. And if
- 29:34Speaker 3: it does, it's probably not going to be good because
- 29:36Speaker 3: they're going to be stretching out the money. as much
- 29:40Speaker 3: as they can to try and get, I don't know,
- 29:44Speaker 3: just to keep their bag, I guess.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I think it's going to go beyond this season if
- 29:49Speaker 1: it can. I do think that TLC would want to
- 29:52Speaker 1: continue to milk this sacred cow.
- 29:54Speaker 3: I'm screaming. Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm just like, I don't get it, but we're here
- 29:57Speaker 1: for that.
- 29:59Speaker 3: And we hope you're right, Ashley, that it's going to
- 30:00Speaker 3: be an entertaining season and it'll pick up.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I would like nothing more, honestly.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Me too.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Thank you for the calls, everybody. We truly appreciate it. Again,
- 30:09Speaker 1: if you want to call and just sound off about whatever,
- 30:12Speaker 1: All you have to do is go to speakpipe.com slash
- 30:14Speaker 1: reality TV cringe. We really have a lot of fun
- 30:17Speaker 1: with your opinions and we like to hear them. And
- 30:20Speaker 1: so thank you for participating in the pod, guys.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Now, Beatrice, is there anything else that we need to
- 30:25Speaker 1: say to these beautiful raccoons before we get a boat
