- 0:27Speaker 1: We are having a tiff.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Right now, so and disagreement.
- 0:33Speaker 1: If you agreement, if you will so we'll see if
- 0:35Speaker 1: we can recover during this podcast. Anyways, we are back.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We took Christmas off. We are We will be here
- 0:42Speaker 1: this week. We'll have a Shoot the Pooh on Friday,
- 0:45Speaker 1: which will recap our Christmas time off.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Sry two Christmas days.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yes, me almost hurting myself getting your present?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there was that.
- 0:58Speaker 1: How Sam's Club screw me over? Amight I allowed to
- 1:01Speaker 1: say that's too?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yes, you can say.
- 1:04Speaker 1: That Sam's Club screwed me over?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Anyways, we were supposed to. I'm just gonna might go.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Then we're not gonna go.
- 1:17Speaker 2: You don't think they're gonna get back to us.
- 1:18Speaker 1: No, you said you didn't want to go. You said
- 1:22Speaker 1: you wouldn't go anymore because you don't trust them out there.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I don't trust them. They probably got some clause about
- 1:26Speaker 2: the damage to your car is your own responsibility, and
- 1:29Speaker 2: they're gonna come up to damage our car.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Okay. Anyways, we're supposed to go to these domes, base
- 1:36Speaker 1: camp domes. It's called base Camp Terra Lingua, ter Lingua
- 1:41Speaker 1: or whatever. They this company that has these domes, has
- 1:45Speaker 1: these tents, has these things that you can rent. Well,
- 1:48Speaker 1: we rented one to go. January of twenty twenty four,
- 1:52Speaker 1: I found out that I had That was when I
- 1:54Speaker 1: was pregnant with the last baby. I had a whole
- 1:58Speaker 1: situation with my doctor. I had to switch in my
- 2:00Speaker 1: the end. It was like a whole ord dem Anyways,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I had some medical complications that they were nervous about
- 2:05Speaker 1: me going into like pre term labor. Suddenly this happened,
- 2:09Speaker 1: so we had to cancel our stay. Well, they were
- 2:12Speaker 1: very nice, they worked with us. We were in the
- 2:15Speaker 1: we were right at fifteen days, and if it was
- 2:17Speaker 1: fifteen days or less then you either had to forfeit
- 2:20Speaker 1: half or they would give you a credit to use later.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So we didn't even get a full credit for canceling
- 2:25Speaker 2: within fifteen days.
- 2:27Speaker 1: No, we got a full credit. We would have got
- 2:29Speaker 1: a prefund. We would have got half of the re
- 2:31Speaker 1: half of it matter how many days. No, if it
- 2:34Speaker 1: was over fifteen days, we were at fifteen days. It
- 2:37Speaker 1: was real sketchy. The limit the time was very interpretation,
- 2:43Speaker 1: but whatever. We were like, fine, we wanted to go
- 2:45Speaker 1: do these things where you go stay in these domes
- 2:47Speaker 1: there you could see the stars. It's out by big Pin.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Very excited about it. I was like, I saw email him.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I said, oh, I said, I'm about to have a baby.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I said, so it's me a while because we can't
- 2:55Speaker 1: bring newborn. The manager was very nice, she was like, oh,
- 2:58Speaker 1: it's fine these the house credit does not expire. This
- 3:02Speaker 1: is important people. The house credits not expire. So we
- 3:05Speaker 1: go a few months. I contacted me in I said,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I said, I just want to double check everything's still
- 3:10Speaker 1: good and we can schedules because we wanted to go
- 3:13Speaker 1: in the winter time because it gets too hot in
- 3:14Speaker 1: the summer for the children in the domes.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Is what i'd read oven.
- 3:19Speaker 1: So here we are. I contacted them earlier this year,
- 3:23Speaker 1: booked this for January. Everything was good. They put us
- 3:27Speaker 1: in the same one. They have different ones, so they
- 3:30Speaker 1: have the Deluxe Bubbles, which is a four has four
- 3:34Speaker 1: walls around it, real big area. I paid extra for
- 3:38Speaker 1: the four walled thing that's bigger, so that our children
- 3:42Speaker 1: could play without us having to be stressed out about them,
- 3:46Speaker 1: like wandering off outside of their area or whatever.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you let them outside and everything is wald.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Everything's wald.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Coming.
- 3:56Speaker 1: There is a hot tub there, but it's one of
- 3:58Speaker 1: those like ones that's above so you has a cover
- 4:00Speaker 1: and stuff, so we wouldn't have to worry about what
- 4:02Speaker 1: about them, like drowning or anything that it could be
- 4:05Speaker 1: relaxing while we're out there because it's kind of like glamping.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So they book us in one of those. They tell
- 4:10Speaker 1: me the name of the thing. They say, it's it's
- 4:13Speaker 1: one of the X ones. It's not X four because
- 4:15Speaker 1: it didn't have a hot tub. Although we didn't really
- 4:16Speaker 1: care about the hot tub because we probably weren't going
- 4:18Speaker 1: to use it anyways.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Well as a bunch of other people are probably in there.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, so oh god knows what anyway, So we that
- 4:27Speaker 1: was fine. It's been booked for months and months and
- 4:30Speaker 1: months now to go this next coming week. Just the
- 4:34Speaker 1: other day they email me and they say one of
- 4:36Speaker 1: the bubbles has my bubble specifically has suffered severe wind
- 4:42Speaker 1: damage and they can't get the parts from France in
- 4:45Speaker 1: time to fix it for our stay, so they're gonna
- 4:48Speaker 1: have to cancel.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yes, that's where they came from.
- 4:51Speaker 1: That's where they said that they had to get the parts,
- 4:53Speaker 1: they're gonna have to cancel our stay, and they said
- 4:56Speaker 1: they would they would let us know if they could
- 4:57Speaker 1: rebook us in a different thing. So shortly after she
- 5:00Speaker 1: sends a confirmation and says, this is the only option
- 5:04Speaker 1: we have. Please let me know if you would like
- 5:08Speaker 1: to cancel, and she books me in this saying it
- 5:10Speaker 1: is a very nice like house type thing. But the
- 5:13Speaker 1: problem was it has an open pool with no fencing
- 5:17Speaker 1: or anything around it. Two, the pool's not heated, so
- 5:19Speaker 1: it's like if we were there, there's like the kids
- 5:22Speaker 1: can't use it anyways. But also it's took away the
- 5:25Speaker 1: entire the whole point of me booking that specific one
- 5:27Speaker 1: and paying that the certain amount of money that I
- 5:29Speaker 1: did was to.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Get that one without and pe and not have your children.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yes, not have them run falling off into a pool,
- 5:37Speaker 1: because it's just stressful and stuff with that. So I said, hey,
- 5:40Speaker 1: we're gonna have to cancel if this is the only option.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I say, because I have small children, I can't have
- 5:44Speaker 1: this like open pool. So she never responds to me
- 5:47Speaker 1: or anything with that. Mind you, my original credit was
- 5:49Speaker 1: for fifteen hundred dollars the one that they booked us in,
- 5:52Speaker 1: the deluxe one. I guess the prices had dropped. They
- 5:55Speaker 1: were it was only going to be twelve hundred dollars.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So I was just gonna lose out on three hundred dollars,
- 5:58Speaker 1: I guess. And they weren't. They weren't saying thing about that.
- 6:00Speaker 1: They were just letting me eat it, eat it. So
- 6:03Speaker 1: but at that point, I'm like, Okay, it's fine whatever.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Because we're bucking more days for less money.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, So I don't know what's going on there. It
- 6:10Speaker 1: was real sketchy. I found it a little bit sketchy,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but whatever. Anyways, So then she I call. I never
- 6:17Speaker 1: hear back from her, and I'm like, this is like
- 6:19Speaker 1: coming up. I have we have a pet sitter book.
- 6:21Speaker 1: So I had to cancel it and everything with that.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So I call up the thing. Well, the lady that
- 6:24Speaker 1: I talked on the phone knew nothing about any bubbles
- 6:26Speaker 1: being damaged due to the wind. I found that suspicious.
- 6:30Speaker 1: She didn't know. I said, well, are there other bubbles
- 6:32Speaker 1: we can stay in? I said, because I said, the
- 6:34Speaker 1: whole point was staying in these bubbles out there, and
- 6:37Speaker 1: I said, we can't stay in the pool she's like, oh, yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 1: there's bubbles available and everything. Like she was like, completely
- 6:41Speaker 1: different story than the what I was receiving an email.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So she said, well, all without the closing thing are
- 6:47Speaker 2: considered bubbles too, though, aren't they.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but the one lady said that my only option
- 6:52Speaker 1: was that house. She said, there is no other option.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And in the email, she said, you can cancel. This
- 6:57Speaker 1: is a long story, guys. This is I would say,
- 7:00Speaker 1: this is for shoot the Pooh, but I need to
- 7:01Speaker 1: get my I need to get my story out there
- 7:04Speaker 1: so you can make an informed decision about whether you
- 7:06Speaker 1: would like to deal with these people. So so I
- 7:11Speaker 1: told the I said, okay, she said, well, we have
- 7:12Speaker 1: to do everything via email. So she said, just email
- 7:15Speaker 1: the lady back, tell her you'd like a bubble and everything.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And so I emailed back and I said I still
- 7:19Speaker 1: hadn't heard from her the next day, and I said,
- 7:21Speaker 1: So I emailed back and I said, Hi, can you
- 7:23Speaker 1: please update? I said, because I have, like we got
- 7:26Speaker 1: to cancel the pet sitter or I'm gonna get charged
- 7:29Speaker 1: for that of it up and everything, and so she said, yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: we're trying to work things out. I'll get back with
- 7:34Speaker 1: you later. Today she gets back, She cancels my house
- 7:38Speaker 1: thing that she booked with the pool she rebooked, doesn't
- 7:41Speaker 1: even ask me or anything, doesn't even talk to me.
- 7:43Speaker 1: She said, the whole point was that it was supposed
- 7:46Speaker 1: to discuss options. She books me in a new bubble. Well,
- 7:49Speaker 1: now this one is only nine hundred dollars, So now
- 7:52Speaker 1: I'm losing out on six hundred dollars of my original
- 7:56Speaker 1: credit at the place. And so I'm like, why is
- 7:59Speaker 1: this one nine hundred dollars and my other one was
- 8:00Speaker 1: twelve hundred that they rebooked me at. Why is this
- 8:03Speaker 1: someone so much cheaper? So I start looking at the website,
- 8:05Speaker 1: Well cause it's like, it's not a deluxe bubble. It's
- 8:08Speaker 1: a bubble that's within nine other bubbles. It's open on
- 8:13Speaker 1: the front completely, so it's got a small area where
- 8:15Speaker 1: your bubble is. It's open on the front completely to
- 8:18Speaker 1: the outside world. Right around the corner is a pool
- 8:21Speaker 1: with no fence or anything. So then I'm like, okay,
- 8:24Speaker 1: I'm like, why I said, Well, I said, and I
- 8:27Speaker 1: didn't even say canceled. We were just gonna make do
- 8:29Speaker 1: with that one or whatever. But what I saw I
- 8:31Speaker 1: emailed back and I said, I said, I was in
- 8:33Speaker 1: a deluxe bubble originally. I said, this one is six
- 8:37Speaker 1: hundred dollars cheap, like less than my house credit. I said,
- 8:40Speaker 1: can I get a refund on the difference or like
- 8:42Speaker 1: what happens with that? Because this is not what I
- 8:44Speaker 1: originally booked and it's not as nice as the one
- 8:47Speaker 1: I originally booked. Well, the lady at the front desk,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I guess, was so there's two people I think I'm
- 8:52Speaker 1: talking to. I think there's like a like a Catherine
- 8:54Speaker 1: who is like a supervisor, and then there's just the
- 8:58Speaker 1: lady who's working the front desk. Shut up still. Anyways,
- 9:03Speaker 1: she starts emailing back. She said, all of a sudden,
- 9:05Speaker 1: she just said, well, uh, we're canceling your reservation and everything.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I was like, I never even asked to cancel it.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I said, what, like, I think I think it's well
- 9:14Speaker 1: within my reason to say what about the other six
- 9:17Speaker 1: hundred dollars, Like you can't just make it magically like
- 9:22Speaker 1: like what's happening? So anyways, so she starts eaming back.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I said, what do you mean you're canceling? And I said,
- 9:26Speaker 1: I never asked to cancel it. I said, I just
- 9:28Speaker 1: want to understand, like what if you're canceling, how do
- 9:30Speaker 1: I get a refund? Like what happens to this? Like
- 9:33Speaker 1: you can't just cancel it and not give me anything
- 9:36Speaker 1: and everything. So she goes back and forth. She just
- 9:38Speaker 1: keeps she said, I said, I'm staying. I said, I
- 9:40Speaker 1: was booked in a in a in a like a
- 9:44Speaker 1: area that's not as nice as the one I originally
- 9:46Speaker 1: paid for and everything, And I said, I booked it
- 9:49Speaker 1: for certain reasons because we have all these children. There's
- 9:51Speaker 1: a small you have to those are things we pay
- 9:54Speaker 1: extra to have to have, like four walls. I'd love
- 9:57Speaker 1: to be paid less money m m and not have
- 9:59Speaker 1: them drin, but here we are. So anyways, so she's like,
- 10:03Speaker 1: you weren't she said, uh, that's this is also I
- 10:06Speaker 1: have questions about whether the bubble I was saying it
- 10:08Speaker 1: was actually damaged, because I already talked to the lady
- 10:11Speaker 1: on the phone that had no clue about the wind damage. Two,
- 10:14Speaker 1: this is I think one of the ladies at the
- 10:16Speaker 1: front desk that's maybe not the supervisor, responding back. And
- 10:19Speaker 1: she's not signing her name, she's just signing reservations anyway.
- 10:23Speaker 1: And she's real snippy and everything. She said, I don't
- 10:26Speaker 1: know what you're talking about. You were never booked in
- 10:28Speaker 1: a X bubble, which that's what they call them. She
- 10:31Speaker 1: said you were, or she said, none of those have
- 10:33Speaker 1: been damaged. You would have never been contacted. And I said,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I have an email. So I go back and look
- 10:38Speaker 1: at my email. I have the email that says I
- 10:40Speaker 1: was booked originally in September, like the one that they
- 10:43Speaker 1: rebooked after not there, like the original ones, the one
- 10:46Speaker 1: I was booked in an X and this one that
- 10:47Speaker 1: they rebooked me, I was booked in an X that
- 10:50Speaker 1: they canceled, saying it was damaged by the bulb. So
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'm like, I said, I said, I am booked in
- 10:55Speaker 1: an EX and so she again just responded she didn't.
- 10:58Speaker 1: She didn't respond to me saying I was booked in
- 11:00Speaker 1: an X. I have an email saying I was booked
- 11:02Speaker 1: in an X. It wasn't X four because it doesn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: have a hot time like I had specifics, you know,
- 11:07Speaker 1: And so she just ignored that. She's like, we're canceling
- 11:09Speaker 1: a reservation and you forfeit your house credit. I'm like, bitch, what.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So I start trying to call them. They don't answer
- 11:17Speaker 1: their phone. Finally, I said, I said, this is not right.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I was like, so you're just gonna take I said,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I have an email stating that the house credit does
- 11:25Speaker 1: not expire. I said, you never worked with me on
- 11:28Speaker 1: any type of options or date. I even offered to
- 11:31Speaker 1: move dates, like I said, can we move dates like
- 11:33Speaker 1: things like that. They never responded me. They just wanted
- 11:35Speaker 1: to stick me in whatever they could at the time
- 11:39Speaker 1: to get me, get me out of the.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Way or whatever, and they'll rEFInd on any part of
- 11:42Speaker 2: the credit.
- 11:43Speaker 1: No, And so I said, they could have even said, Okay,
- 11:46Speaker 1: we'll keep the extra six hundred dollars open and I
- 11:48Speaker 1: could have let like my brother or somebody use it,
- 11:50Speaker 1: you know, or something like that. Yeah, they were basically
- 11:53Speaker 1: I was just gonna lose whatever difference it was and
- 11:55Speaker 1: they didn't care. So anyways. So then so now they've
- 11:58Speaker 1: just finally the original emails back this big long thing.
- 12:02Speaker 1: She told me that I didn't pay extra for privacy,
- 12:04Speaker 1: that that's not something that they charge extra for. Bitch,
- 12:08Speaker 1: am I allowed to say, bitch story, Sure, bitch, that
- 12:13Speaker 1: is exactly how it all works. The bubbles that are
- 12:15Speaker 1: in this stack of nine that have open on one end,
- 12:18Speaker 1: are smaller, are cheaper than the ones that you pay
- 12:21Speaker 1: for four walls around that are called deluxe bubbles. The
- 12:24Speaker 1: other ones are just bubbles, and then there's deluxe bubbles.
- 12:27Speaker 1: If you go to the website right now, the deluxe
- 12:29Speaker 1: bubbles cost more than the regular bubbles. Okay, and there's
- 12:32Speaker 1: a reason if you look at the pictures, like I
- 12:35Speaker 1: feel like they're just.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Like, hey, you can walk around your your courtyard necket
- 12:39Speaker 2: if you want to.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, they're just like gaslight me. They're saying like you
- 12:42Speaker 1: don't like you don't pay extra for privacy here or
- 12:44Speaker 1: something like that, like what the like? They literally just
- 12:47Speaker 1: saying things to me. And so basically she said, my
- 12:48Speaker 1: house credit's gone. They canceled my reservation. So I'm just
- 12:51Speaker 1: out fifteen hundred dollars and they won't respond to me anymore.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So I tell you this story that is long. If
- 12:58Speaker 1: you were thinking about staying, I would I would second
- 13:02Speaker 1: guests staying.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yes, especially if you have something come up, yes, well,
- 13:07Speaker 2: or at least get you some travel insurance. Well, I mean,
- 13:09Speaker 2: the thing you're not going to get out of these people.
- 13:11Speaker 1: The thing was is I never had thought that there
- 13:13Speaker 1: would be any issue. They were very nice the first time.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Whoever worked there at the time was super nice, and
- 13:18Speaker 1: they were like, yeah, you had a medical emergency. We
- 13:20Speaker 1: completely understand. And she even wrote a email because I
- 13:22Speaker 1: was worried about She's like, oh, you have a newborn,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Just email back whenever you're ready to stay. It's no
- 13:26Speaker 1: big deal. It does not expire. And I have that
- 13:28Speaker 1: in an email scene. It does not expire. And the
- 13:31Speaker 1: thing was is I was never offered to adjust the dates,
- 13:33Speaker 1: because we could have gone a couple days later or
- 13:35Speaker 1: something like that. We could have worked it out to
- 13:37Speaker 1: come different dates, but she said that. She said that
- 13:40Speaker 1: I wouldn't accept any options they gave me or work
- 13:43Speaker 1: with them. They never tried to work with me. She
- 13:45Speaker 1: claimed in the email she tried to change the dates,
- 13:47Speaker 1: and that's not true. I have everything they do is
- 13:49Speaker 1: through email correspondence, and she never once offered me different
- 13:52Speaker 1: dates at all. She basically I said what So when
- 13:56Speaker 1: I responded back, I said, you guys told me where
- 13:59Speaker 1: I was going to have to stay, and you expected
- 14:01Speaker 1: me just to accept it without any if I didn't.
- 14:05Speaker 1: And then even in the email, they said, if you
- 14:07Speaker 1: would like to cancel. Please let me know. It didn't
- 14:10Speaker 1: say if you would like to cancel, you forfeit your
- 14:12Speaker 1: entire house credits. Please let us, please let us know.
- 14:15Speaker 1: To me, it's like, okay, they rebooked me in something
- 14:17Speaker 1: it wasn't gonna work. I said, okay, we can cancel,
- 14:20Speaker 1: and then she said, I have a different option for you.
- 14:22Speaker 1: She somehow maracously found a different option for me, though
- 14:25Speaker 1: when she said there was zero other options, finds one.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I just asked about the six hundred dollars difference, and
- 14:30Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, I'm public enemy number one.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Like I've just never experienced anything with that where I've
- 14:35Speaker 1: just they're just like, yeah, you just lose six hundred dollars,
- 14:38Speaker 1: it doesn't matter.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Oh you don't like that, we're gonna take all fifty.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we're just gonna take all. You're canceled. We're done,
- 14:43Speaker 1: so we're not going now. We don't feel at this point,
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's like it's almost that we don't feel comfortable because
- 14:49Speaker 1: they are just like bubbles, like uh, latex bubbles and
- 14:53Speaker 1: stuff that I mean, we would feel uncomfortable. I don't.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It's a very isolated place, so the people out there
- 14:59Speaker 1: are like a small group that runs that. So even
- 15:02Speaker 1: at this point, it's like we wouldn't even feel comfortable

- 16:57Speaker 1: our lives what's going on. So this week we'll be
- 16:59Speaker 1: talking talking about Christmas and yeah, Christmas, we had a Christmas,
- 17:05Speaker 1: we had a birthday we had If you're on the
- 17:09Speaker 1: The Shoot Oh, The Shoot Pooh, I will say that
- 17:11Speaker 1: stud did do the Polar Express, even though he claimed
- 17:15Speaker 1: he wasn't gonna participate.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I did not want to.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Yes, yes, And you're like, why am I just hearing
- 17:21Speaker 1: about this. I'm not going to I did a Polar
- 17:24Speaker 1: Express night with the children where I got them a
- 17:28Speaker 1: blanket and a little cup with hot chocolate in it,
- 17:32Speaker 1: and I put lights and I put lights in the van. Well,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I told someone to put lights in the van, and
- 17:39Speaker 1: then I surprised him. I gave it printed amount a ticket,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and then they had to give me their ticket. When
- 17:43Speaker 1: they got their ticket, they got a bell. When they
- 17:45Speaker 1: gave me their ticket, they got a bell. They got
- 17:46Speaker 1: to get in the car. They had their new blanket
- 17:48Speaker 1: with their hot chocolate, and then we drove. We had
- 17:50Speaker 1: to drive all the way to freaking Odessa because it
- 17:53Speaker 1: is the only place that has lights around here, and
- 17:56Speaker 1: they're they're pretty. I mean, it's free, so it's nice,
- 17:59Speaker 1: but it's not that long of a light show. It's
- 18:01Speaker 1: but it's not bad for being free. Anyways, Stu was like,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I guess I had not told him about it prior
- 18:08Speaker 1: to telling him about it on the podcast episode, and
- 18:11Speaker 1: he's like, I just never I'm not doing this. I've
- 18:14Speaker 1: never heard about this, blah, blah. But we did do it,
- 18:16Speaker 1: and one of the children did dump all the hot
- 18:19Speaker 1: chocolate in the.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Car first, so I had to spend an entire day
- 18:22Speaker 2: detail in the van.
- 18:24Speaker 1: But they had so much fun. Well one of them
- 18:26Speaker 1: actually slept through it. Okay, one slept through it, but
- 18:29Speaker 1: the other two like, they had a blast. They were singing, frozen,
- 18:35Speaker 1: jingling their bells. Yeah, that was my brother's fault because
- 18:41Speaker 1: he was on He was in the back seat with them,
- 18:43Speaker 1: and he should have been on top of the one
- 18:44Speaker 1: year old with the hot chocolate.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Nobody gave him those instructions.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Okay, well he should have known.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Well why should he even know because he's around one
- 18:50Speaker 2: year old.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that baby's feral. He knows that she can't be
- 18:54Speaker 1: trusted anyway. So check out Patreon, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. I
- 19:01Speaker 1: have been expanding my content, so if you want to
- 19:04Speaker 1: see what I'm reading, I'm trying to I'm kind of
- 19:06Speaker 1: using the the social media to make myself plan my
- 19:11Speaker 1: meals and my days and stuff like that. So go
- 19:13Speaker 1: check that out and then rate review subscribe five stars
- 19:17Speaker 1: only because now we are broke because we just lost
- 19:19Speaker 1: down on Fixed. Anyways, I'm trying not to. I can't
- 19:25Speaker 1: get myself. Normally, I would get myself completely worked up
- 19:28Speaker 1: about this and it would just but I can't do
- 19:30Speaker 1: that anymore. In my older age, I'm like, I can't.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I can't let it bother me. I can just try
- 19:35Speaker 1: to calmly fix the situation and do whatever means we
- 19:39Speaker 1: need to to try to get our money back. If
- 19:44Speaker 1: they stop responding to us, then we'll just have to
- 19:48Speaker 1: progress or something. Because what they did was completely, to
- 19:51Speaker 1: me unethical. So am I allowed to say that's due?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Yes?
- 19:56Speaker 1: Okay, Steve said, I have to be careful what I say,
- 19:59Speaker 1: but whatever.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, people will see for all kinds of stuff. Okay.
- 20:02Speaker 1: So anyway, so this week our case is out of Georgia,
- 20:05Speaker 1: and I will put in the show notes that when
- 20:06Speaker 1: you guys can start listening if you don't want to at
- 20:09Speaker 1: the mark anyways, all right. On July eighteenth, two thousand
- 20:14Speaker 1: and eight, in Duluth, Georgia, is that who owns a
- 20:17Speaker 1: Duluth trading company? You think?
- 20:20Speaker 2: No, there's a Dluthe up north?
- 20:22Speaker 1: Oh, okay whatever. Around nine pm, the police department received
- 20:27Speaker 1: a phone call stating that a woman had just been
- 20:29Speaker 1: shot at a strip mall Now, paramedics and police head
- 20:32Speaker 1: to the scene to find that the gunman had fled
- 20:34Speaker 1: the scene and the woman was lying on the ground
- 20:36Speaker 1: on her back. The woman had a single gunshot wound
- 20:39Speaker 1: it appeared to be towards the abdomen chest area, and
- 20:43Speaker 1: she was rushed to the hospital while they looked for
- 20:46Speaker 1: evidence around the scene. Now, they did not know initially
- 20:49Speaker 1: who the woman was because there was no identification on
- 20:52Speaker 1: her or anything like that. And as they're looking around
- 20:54Speaker 1: the area, they noticed that there's no shellcasing and no
- 20:57Speaker 1: vehicle at the scene, So appears whoever did this picked
- 21:01Speaker 1: up the shell caseing I'm guessing, and then they believe
- 21:04Speaker 1: she was the one that had the car, so it
- 21:06Speaker 1: seems like they stole her car. So they searched around
- 21:10Speaker 1: for an eyewitness and they lucked out. They found a
- 21:12Speaker 1: bus driver who was actually sitting there the entire time
- 21:17Speaker 1: at her because there was a bus stop nearby, sitting
- 21:19Speaker 1: there the entire time and saw this entire thing like
- 21:22Speaker 1: play out. Really yeah, So she said that the gold
- 21:27Speaker 1: car there was a small gold car sitting there for
- 21:30Speaker 1: several minutes, and then that's when an African American male
- 21:33Speaker 1: walked up to the vehicle and leaned on it, put
- 21:36Speaker 1: his hand on the thing like he was gonna talk
- 21:39Speaker 1: to the person in the car, and then just pulls
- 21:41Speaker 1: out a gun and shoots the person, drags the woman
- 21:45Speaker 1: out of the vehicle, and then took off in the car.
- 21:48Speaker 1: The bus driver also said that he was wearing a
- 21:50Speaker 1: white T shirt with green sleeves, but there wasn't much
- 21:53Speaker 1: more detail because this was late at night, so they
- 21:56Speaker 1: couldn't see very well. They were kind of far away,
- 21:59Speaker 1: but they could give it a decent description in terms
- 22:01Speaker 1: of like clothing and basic uh physical features to look for. Anyways,
- 22:07Speaker 1: obviously the bus drivers like there was nothing they could do.
- 22:11Speaker 1: That's like, like she was It all happened so fast.
- 22:14Speaker 1: It was just very shocking and everything. So anyways, they
- 22:20Speaker 1: they were they were wondering, like who would do They
- 22:24Speaker 1: thought maybe possibly the person knew the person sitting in
- 22:27Speaker 1: the car, because this was a very brazen attack, like
- 22:29Speaker 1: in a pretty public location. There's a strip mall there.
- 22:33Speaker 2: If anybody saw there's.
- 22:35Speaker 1: A gas station right there, he had to have seen
- 22:37Speaker 1: the bus sitting there. I mean, the bus had at
- 22:40Speaker 1: least a driver and possibly you know, passengers sitting there.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So this was pretty brazen of a crime. So anyway,
- 22:48Speaker 1: so they so now they're looking at possibly did the
- 22:51Speaker 1: person know that this person was there and that they
- 22:53Speaker 1: were going to be sitting there and walk up and
- 22:55Speaker 1: shoot them.
- 22:56Speaker 2: As investigators start processing the scene to see if there's
- 22:59Speaker 2: any evidence, that received a call from the hospital stating
- 23:03Speaker 2: that the woman did not make it. The bullet had
- 23:06Speaker 2: gone through her stomach and her diaphragm. Investigators still did
- 23:10Speaker 2: not know who this woman was. It would not be
- 23:12Speaker 2: until the next day when they received a phone call
- 23:14Speaker 2: about a missing person. A woman by the name of
- 23:17Speaker 2: Camellia Coleman called authority, stating that her sister had failed
- 23:21Speaker 2: to pick up her daughter at work at eleven o'clock
- 23:24Speaker 2: the night before and that they could not locate her.
- 23:27Speaker 2: The woman described where the daughter worked, and it was
- 23:29Speaker 2: the exact location that the murder occurred. This is when
- 23:33Speaker 2: investigators pretty much figured out that the Jane Doe that
- 23:36Speaker 2: they had was most.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Likely the sister, Jani Coleman.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Jani Coleman, and that she had been shot. And now
- 23:44Speaker 2: they got to call the sister and let her know
- 23:46Speaker 2: that Jani has been shot and killed in the parking
- 23:49Speaker 2: lot the previous night.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Yeah, so investigators, they began to learn more about Jeni
- 23:55Speaker 1: and the person that she was growing up. She was
- 23:57Speaker 1: one of five children. She went on to serve military
- 24:00Speaker 1: and then after that she became a teacher. She had
- 24:03Speaker 1: a real passion for children and ended up adopting three
- 24:06Speaker 1: daughters on her own. Now, she had plans to move
- 24:10Speaker 1: coming up, and she was her dream was to open
- 24:12Speaker 1: a preschool of her own to kind of tie those
- 24:15Speaker 1: all those things that she loved together. And we know,
- 24:19Speaker 1: we've been through the preschool slash daycare world and we're
- 24:23Speaker 1: I was like, we need people that actually care about
- 24:27Speaker 1: teaching children and stuff to own these daycares because some
- 24:30Speaker 1: of them I feel like are just in it for
- 24:32Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe there's a bunch of money. I
- 24:34Speaker 1: have no clue, but.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Ye mean, yeah, there's a bunch of money.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Evidently, yeh's a lot of government money. I think it's
- 24:40Speaker 1: funneled through these daycare So you really need someone who
- 24:43Speaker 1: cares about children, cares about education, and is like a
- 24:47Speaker 1: really good person. And so Jani she fit all of
- 24:50Speaker 1: these things. So she would have probably done a great job.
- 24:53Speaker 1: So this was her dream. She was just finishing up
- 24:55Speaker 1: all of her certifications to accomplish that. She was described
- 24:59Speaker 1: as very kind, caring, and responsible, so for this to
- 25:02Speaker 1: happen to her was completely shocking. So her family did
- 25:07Speaker 1: not believe that this was someone that Jani knew. Jeni
- 25:10Speaker 1: would not, did not have any issues with anyone. She
- 25:13Speaker 1: didn't hang out with anyone that was like like troublemaker. Yes,
- 25:18Speaker 1: like she did not do any of that stuff. So
- 25:20Speaker 1: they believe. They told investigators, this has to be a
- 25:23Speaker 1: random attack on her because she does not.
- 25:25Speaker 2: She wouldn't hang around swindlers and sketchy people.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yes, swindlers and sketchy people. Yes. Anyways, she so they're like,
- 25:35Speaker 1: this has to be a random person that walked up
- 25:37Speaker 1: and did this to her because she does not have enemies.
- 25:40Speaker 1: So this would make the in case much more difficult
- 25:45Speaker 1: for investigators because now it's a random killing, and those
- 25:49Speaker 1: are the hardest to solve because it's just some random
- 25:53Speaker 1: motherfucker just walked up in and killed somebody. I mean,
- 25:56Speaker 1: it's yeah, that's just she's just sitting in her car
- 25:59Speaker 1: mining her business to pick up her daughter at work
- 26:02Speaker 1: and this happens. Thankfully, I don't they didn't mention anything.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I don't think the daughter thankfully didn't walk out and
- 26:07Speaker 1: like see because the bus driver saw all this happened,
- 26:10Speaker 1: was able to call nine on one right away. Thankfully.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I don't believe her daughter walked out and saw any
- 26:16Speaker 1: of this.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it was laying out there, probably saw the cars.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Didn't think it had anything to do with mom.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Well, I mean it would have been her mom's car. Oh,
- 26:24Speaker 1: the police vehicles. Yeah, she would have never thought anything
- 26:27Speaker 1: like that because anyway, So that's the only good thing
- 26:30Speaker 1: I think is that they were someone did witness it
- 26:33Speaker 1: so that the daughter didn't have to walk out and
- 26:35Speaker 1: see that.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Police have no evidence at the crime scene where they
- 26:39Speaker 2: found Jani, So what they need to do, they figure,
- 26:43Speaker 2: is track down her vehicle.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Yeah that once they get the vehicle, they'll at least
- 26:46Speaker 1: have something because that's obviously the killer.
- 26:49Speaker 2: The killer jumped in the car. There should be some
- 26:51Speaker 2: physical evidence in the car.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Thankfully they have the eyewitnesses.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so they got the eyewitness said hey, this guy
- 26:56Speaker 2: took the car. So they're like, hey, if we find
- 26:58Speaker 2: this car, maybe we'll get it. But this is a rando,
- 27:01Speaker 2: So now this is going to be difficult. Now they
- 27:04Speaker 2: catch another lucky break because the first lucky break was
- 27:07Speaker 2: the bus driver just watching this whole shit go down.
- 27:10Speaker 2: But about forty miles away, an off duty police officer
- 27:13Speaker 2: had seen a man pull up in a car, and
- 27:17Speaker 2: this was Jania's car. But at this time, the off
- 27:21Speaker 2: duty officer was not aware that this was a stolen
- 27:23Speaker 2: vehicle and that it was involved in a crime, because
- 27:27Speaker 2: nobody put a bolo out on it, or.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It hadn't been it had been that it was that
- 27:31Speaker 1: night that this all happened. So yes, there was no
- 27:34Speaker 1: investigation going on yet and they hadn't hadn't put that information,
- 27:38Speaker 1: and there is a missing a stolen vehicle. All right.
- 27:40Speaker 1: We had to take a small break because there was
- 27:43Speaker 1: children fighting in quiet time. They are loose now, so
- 27:49Speaker 1: we might get many interruptions. So just forewarning you, this
- 27:54Speaker 1: is not a professional podcast if you're new here, This
- 27:57Speaker 1: is a DIY. We are currently sitting in a closet
- 28:01Speaker 1: trying to recoup our fifteen hundred dollars.
- 28:05Speaker 2: We got to push this out to the masses.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Yes, I would also like I was thinking about it though.
- 28:11Speaker 1: We'll get back to the case, I promise you, But
- 28:14Speaker 1: I was also thinking about it. The other thing. The
- 28:15Speaker 1: reason that the whole thing about is not expiring comes
- 28:19Speaker 1: up with the email is because she tried to tell
- 28:21Speaker 1: me that she all of a sudden, out of nowhere,
- 28:23Speaker 1: the house credits expire within six to twelve months, but
- 28:26Speaker 1: there's not even a time frame. None of this is
- 28:28Speaker 1: written on their website. FYI not like none of it.
- 28:31Speaker 1: This is all we're all made up rules. It's all
- 28:33Speaker 1: just whoever's feeling it at the moment.
- 28:35Speaker 2: That's what it sounds like.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yes, and I do question whether quick write this down.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I wonder I question whether my bubble was actually damaged, I.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Will say that, or if they got new money.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Or if they got new people that wanted to stay there,
- 28:46Speaker 1: and they were like, these people.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Are already paid, they can't get their money bank Yep.
- 28:50Speaker 1: We can just screw them over and move on with
- 28:54Speaker 1: our day and get our new get their money and
- 28:56Speaker 1: get the new people. Because no one seemed to know
- 28:58Speaker 1: about the bubble being dad imaged except for the one lady.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Everyone else was unawares of it. And I feel like,
- 29:04Speaker 1: if that's like your moneymakers, you'd be like this whole catastrophe,
- 29:08Speaker 1: that the bubbles were damaged. It'd be a major ordeal. Anyways, Okay,
- 29:12Speaker 1: we're back to.
- 29:13Speaker 2: The seem plausible. Yes as a theory, Yes.
- 29:17Speaker 1: We're back to the deal. So the the the off
- 29:21Speaker 1: duty cop.
- 29:22Speaker 2: He sees the car pull up into an empty strip
- 29:26Speaker 2: mall where all in the middle of the night, all
- 29:28Speaker 2: the stores are closed.
- 29:29Speaker 1: What is the off duty police officer doing in the
- 29:31Speaker 1: middle of the night there, that's my question.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah, what are you doing? I'm trying to the stores.
- 29:36Speaker 1: You seem a little sketchy.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so Jeni's Jeanne's Jeni's.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Maybe he wasn't off due. Maybe he was ununiformed. Maybe
- 29:47Speaker 1: that's what they said. He wasn't in a regular uniform
- 29:49Speaker 1: and he's like an undercover or like a I can't remember.
- 29:54Speaker 1: They said he was off close or he was on uniform,
- 29:57Speaker 1: meaning he's like trying he's supposed to be out there
- 29:59Speaker 1: at that tom of night making sure nobody does anything nefarious.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Maybe he was off duty, just providing security for the
- 30:05Speaker 2: retail shops.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Maybe, oh, maybe he was.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Maybe he's hanging up some extra work.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Anyways, yeah, nobody ever said.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Nobody ever said misunderstood.
- 30:17Speaker 2: So we're just guessing, like what happened to our bubble? Maybe, yes,
- 30:22Speaker 2: just guessing just theorizing. All right, keep going, Stan, Should
- 30:27Speaker 2: I keep going? Yes? Yeah, So the off duty or
- 30:31Speaker 2: the security guard, whatever he is.
- 30:32Speaker 1: He's definitely a police officer.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yes, well, I'm saying he's off duty or he's doing
- 30:37Speaker 2: security work as an off duty police officer. The guy's outside,
- 30:42Speaker 2: he's walking around the car talking on his cell phone.
- 30:44Speaker 2: So the off duty police officer walks up to him.
- 30:48Speaker 2: He's like, dude, all the shops closed, what are you
- 30:50Speaker 2: doing to night?
- 30:51Speaker 1: What are you doing hanging around here in this parking lot?
- 30:53Speaker 2: Seems a little sketch.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Well, he was walking away from the vehicle like he was.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Going to abandon it. Yeah, the guy that was walking
- 31:01Speaker 2: away from the car, he here's the guy talking to him.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I guess he looks at him, but he continues to
- 31:07Speaker 2: talk on a cell phone. He turns around, gets back
- 31:09Speaker 2: in the car and just drives off.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Doesn't really explain himself or anything. Oh, I didn't know
- 31:15Speaker 1: they were closed at two Way or whatever time that'side.
- 31:18Speaker 2: It would be closed at this time of day. Now,
- 31:20Speaker 2: the off duty police officer did have the presence of
- 31:23Speaker 2: mind to write down the tag number, and he ran the.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Plate, as would I do. As everyone knows I did
- 31:28Speaker 1: catch those armed rubbers.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Yes, However, they did not know that Jenia's car was
- 31:34Speaker 2: missing at the time, as we said, because it had
- 31:37Speaker 2: not been entered as bolo. So when he ran the plate.
- 31:40Speaker 1: It just said it belonged to her, and there was.
- 31:42Speaker 1: She had everything in order and never been stolen every
- 31:46Speaker 1: because she has everything in order like she's a responsible person.
- 31:49Speaker 2: So they were probably at the crime scene process in
- 31:51Speaker 2: the crime scene when this was all going down. So
- 31:54Speaker 2: there was a delay with the officers in Duluth finding
- 31:56Speaker 2: out that the car had been spotted forty miles away.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Once if they knew this, they at least had an
- 32:01Speaker 2: area that they could go look for the car where
- 32:03Speaker 2: they thought maybe the killer had dropped the car just
- 32:07Speaker 2: a mile or two away from where the off duty
- 32:09Speaker 2: officer had seen the car. They do find her vehicle.
- 32:12Speaker 2: It's park crooked and two different parking spots, two different
- 32:16Speaker 2: parking spots, like it was left there in a hurry.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Yeah, which I don't understand why the person would drop
- 32:21Speaker 1: it so close to where you just were seen. I
- 32:23Speaker 1: would have drove another forty miles Why because because then.
- 32:27Speaker 2: The bolo might be out on the car and they'll
- 32:29Speaker 2: be like, oh, there it is, my guy's driving it.
- 32:31Speaker 2: You don't want to be in it, I guess.
- 32:33Speaker 1: And also depending on how would he get home if
- 32:36Speaker 1: depending on where he lived, he would want to go
- 32:37Speaker 1: somewhere he knew somebody, he.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Might already had his drop car in that area.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I don't know about that. But was he doing with
- 32:44Speaker 1: the car though he didn't. He just drove it forty
- 32:46Speaker 1: miles and then dropped it and left, Like what was
- 32:48Speaker 1: the point.
- 32:49Speaker 2: He's probably talking to the guy who'd come to pick
- 32:51Speaker 2: him up on a cell phone.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know. Anyways, they begin processing the vehicle
- 32:55Speaker 1: and Jeni kept a very clean car. So it was
- 32:59Speaker 1: this is we got to have clean cars people, because
- 33:02Speaker 1: it was super easy to pull prints from because you know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: like they've they've processed some of these cars we've seen
- 33:06Speaker 1: it's like trash everywhere. I mean, you've really you can't
- 33:10Speaker 1: get good evidence whenever the car is just trashed and
- 33:14Speaker 1: not clean.
- 33:15Speaker 2: She kept everything all over the car, spilled coffee on
- 33:20Speaker 2: the weather tech in the backseat.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Anyway, so she kept an extremely clean car, so it
- 33:26Speaker 1: was very easy for them to pull prints off, and
- 33:28Speaker 1: they immediately found unknown prints in the vehicle, as well
- 33:32Speaker 1: as a print where the bus driver stated that the
- 33:33Speaker 1: killer had placed his hand on top of the car
- 33:35Speaker 1: and leaned on the car. They also had a lucky
- 33:38Speaker 1: break with a cigarette but that was found under the
- 33:41Speaker 1: driver's seat. Now they talked to Jeni's family. She was
- 33:45Speaker 1: did not smoke, She would have never let anyone smoke
- 33:48Speaker 1: in her vehicle, so they knew this most likely belonged
- 33:51Speaker 1: to the killer. They believed that he didn't mean to
- 33:53Speaker 1: leave that butt in the car. They think it was
- 33:55Speaker 1: just he flicked it out the window and it just
- 33:57Speaker 1: so happened. He's also a litter, and it just so
- 33:59Speaker 1: happened to fly back under the car and get it
- 34:03Speaker 1: under the driver's seat. Sorry, we had an interruption. So yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 1: they believe it just flew back under the driver's seat,
- 34:08Speaker 1: like he did not intend for it to remain in
- 34:10Speaker 1: the vehicle. So now they've got prints, so they're getting
- 34:13Speaker 1: some lucky bricks. They've got well, also, this criminal is
- 34:15Speaker 1: just stupid, but they've got prince and now they've got
- 34:17Speaker 1: a cigarette butt that could possibly have a DNA profile.
- 34:21Speaker 1: So now they have to send all this off to
- 34:22Speaker 1: the lab.
- 34:23Speaker 2: While they're waiting on the lab to process the fingerprints
- 34:26Speaker 2: and the DNA, they begin pulling surveillance video from the
- 34:29Speaker 2: nearby businesses. At the convenience store, they do spot their killer.
- 34:33Speaker 2: He walks in wearing the same color clothes that the
- 34:35Speaker 2: bus driver described in the video. He's walking around talking
- 34:39Speaker 2: on his phone. He's loud, he's cursing, so he is
- 34:42Speaker 2: drawing attention to himself. He ends up entering the convenience
- 34:45Speaker 2: store three times over a short period of time. The
- 34:49Speaker 2: first two times he buys a single beer, and he
- 34:51Speaker 2: does make a smart ass comment to the clerk saying, well,
- 34:55Speaker 2: when you buy a beer at the liquor store, they
- 34:56Speaker 2: don't put it in a paper bag.
- 34:58Speaker 1: But I feel like they do. Maybe he's said at
- 35:00Speaker 1: the restaurant, he was being like he was just being annoying.
- 35:04Speaker 1: He was an obnoxious customer. Yes, and for someone who
- 35:08Speaker 1: was about to commit a crime, he was very loud
- 35:12Speaker 1: and making a seat. Yeah, you would think you wouldn't
- 35:15Speaker 1: want to bring attention to yourself.
- 35:18Speaker 2: The final time that he comes into the store, he
- 35:20Speaker 2: purchases his cigarettes and the clerk says, hey, you're back.
- 35:25Speaker 2: They are able to hear what kind of cigarettes he orders,
- 35:28Speaker 2: and it does match the one that they found in
- 35:30Speaker 2: the vehicle. They're one hundred percent sure this is the killer.
- 35:33Speaker 2: They can see him in the parking lot walking around
- 35:36Speaker 2: in the same clothes prior to the killing of JENNI.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he also didn't wear anything. I mean the shirt
- 35:43Speaker 1: was very distinctive too. It was it was like white
- 35:46Speaker 1: on things and then had the green sleeves. I mean
- 35:48Speaker 1: it's like clear as day. It wasn't even like a
- 35:50Speaker 1: generic black shirt or red shirt.
- 35:53Speaker 2: A one tone shirt.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 35:56Speaker 1: There is a very big twist into this that I
- 35:59Speaker 1: think everybody's going to be shocked about. The shocker too,
- 36:02Speaker 1: and the Stuart stop, what is wrong with you? Stuart? Anyways?
- 36:08Speaker 1: The DNA stops, Stuart, why are you like this just stopped?
- 36:13Speaker 2: What? It's been fifteen years.
- 36:14Speaker 1: The DNA evidence and fingerprints were processed. They placed them
- 36:17Speaker 1: into the national databases. However, there were no matches like
- 36:22Speaker 1: right off the bat, and again they wanted to be
- 36:24Speaker 1: clear like this isn't like the TV shows. They don't
- 36:27Speaker 1: just pop it in and then all of a sudden
- 36:28Speaker 1: it's like it's got It takes a long time for
- 36:32Speaker 1: the I guess the algorithm or whatever's in there in
- 36:34Speaker 1: the background processing to like narrow things down, so it
- 36:37Speaker 1: wasn't a hit right off the bat. So now they
- 36:40Speaker 1: needed to rely on that on the public and that
- 36:43Speaker 1: surveillance video to see if they can put that out
- 36:46Speaker 1: there see if anybody recognizes the man because he was
- 36:49Speaker 1: you do get a pretty clear shot of him on
- 36:51Speaker 1: the because he's in the convenience store three times and
- 36:54Speaker 1: he's got that the clothing on. Unfortunately, they do not
- 36:58Speaker 1: receive any tips, so knows who this person is now
- 37:02Speaker 1: at this point because he didn't pay with a credit
- 37:04Speaker 1: card at the gas station. He paid with cash, so
- 37:06Speaker 1: there would have been a smart I think he just
- 37:09Speaker 1: probably didn't have a.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Credit card, a credit card or a debit card.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Yes, so anyway, So anyway, so they put that out there.
- 37:18Speaker 1: There's no tips coming back in. They've processed all the
- 37:21Speaker 1: evidence that they have, they followed up on any leads,
- 37:24Speaker 1: and they're at a dead end. They did, however, have
- 37:26Speaker 1: all of this person's information in that national database, so
- 37:29Speaker 1: it was kind of a waiting game for them to
- 37:31Speaker 1: find the match. Now a year goes by and they
- 37:35Speaker 1: finally received word that there was a match in the
- 37:37Speaker 1: CODA system to a Donald Smith. Okay, Donald Smith Donald. Yes,
- 37:43Speaker 1: they found out from his rap sheet that he had
- 37:45Speaker 1: a pretty lengthy and violent criminal history, including a bank robbery,
- 37:49Speaker 1: other things with weapons and stuff like that, so it
- 37:51Speaker 1: would not be out of the realm of possibilities for
- 37:53Speaker 1: him to carjack someone like to carry out this type
- 37:56Speaker 1: of violent crime. Now, now that they know who their
- 37:59Speaker 1: potential so killer is, they want to build a case
- 38:01Speaker 1: around him prior to arresting him so that he cannot
- 38:04Speaker 1: come up with an excuse as to why his DNA
- 38:06Speaker 1: would have been found in the Jeni's cardlike saying, oh,
- 38:09Speaker 1: we were dating or something like that he.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Got at a bar.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, they were able to pull his cell phone records
- 38:16Speaker 1: and since multiple people said that he was on his
- 38:18Speaker 1: cell phone as well as having video of him on
- 38:21Speaker 1: his cell phone, they were able to ping him in
- 38:23Speaker 1: that area. So now they have multiple sources of video
- 38:26Speaker 1: showing him on there DNA DNA, the fingerprints, well, they
- 38:30Speaker 1: don't have the fingerprints, They just have the DNA right now,
- 38:32Speaker 1: So that's important. Remember that they have the DNA and
- 38:35Speaker 1: then they have the cell phone evidence stating that he
- 38:38Speaker 1: was in the area at the time of murder. They
- 38:39Speaker 1: do have the fingerprints to compare it to him. Once
- 38:43Speaker 1: they arrest him, yes, or bring him in.
- 38:46Speaker 2: So they picked up Old Donald for an interrogation and
- 38:49Speaker 2: they bring him in. They're talking to him about the murder.
- 38:51Speaker 2: They start off by asking him he knew Jenni or
- 38:54Speaker 2: if he had seen this vehicle which they showed in
- 38:58Speaker 2: the picture of her vehicle. He denied both, saying that
- 39:01Speaker 2: he never met her, he'd never been in her vehicle,
- 39:05Speaker 2: the vehicle, He didn't kill her. He didn't know who
- 39:08Speaker 2: they're talking about. Once they had him denying any involvement
- 39:12Speaker 2: with the vehicle or Jani, they told him about the
- 39:16Speaker 2: evidence that they had found. They let Old Donald know
- 39:19Speaker 2: that they got the cigarette with his DNA on it.
- 39:22Speaker 2: He still denies any involvement with it. But he did
- 39:25Speaker 2: take a polygraph test and he failed that. Failing the
- 39:28Speaker 2: polygraph test was the one thing that did make Donald
- 39:31Speaker 2: have a reaction to this whole thing, and he became
- 39:34Speaker 2: very upset. This is when Donald drops a bombshell and
- 39:38Speaker 2: says that that is not him in the video footage Kara,
- 39:42Speaker 2: and that is not his DNA, It is actually his
- 39:45Speaker 2: twin brother Ronald.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Yes, he's got the old twin. The whole twin excuse, So.
- 39:53Speaker 2: We're gonna let Donald go while we go look for
- 39:55Speaker 2: his twin brother.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Ronald Ronald. Now, investigators were concerned about this because they
- 40:01Speaker 1: did know that Donald had an identical twin brother named Ronald.
- 40:05Speaker 1: First of all, Donald and Ronald like Ronald.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Is there a that's like, is there a triplet named
- 40:13Speaker 2: mac like Ronald McDonald?
- 40:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we should have thought, let's let's do better
- 40:19Speaker 1: appearents on the naming. Anyways, Therefore, they since they're identical twins,
- 40:25Speaker 1: they share the same DNA profile, so there is a
- 40:29Speaker 1: chance that they do have the wrong person. But I
- 40:32Speaker 1: don't understand why if they knew that he had a twin,
- 40:34Speaker 1: why wouldn't they bring it Because I guess the codis No,
- 40:39Speaker 1: they did know. Yes, they were concerned about this, as
- 40:42Speaker 1: they should because it would call into their DNA the DNA,
- 40:45Speaker 1: but I guess he was the one that pink so
- 40:47Speaker 1: there was that was the one that they were able
- 40:49Speaker 1: to bring in because he pinged in the CODA system
- 40:52Speaker 1: that it was matching. The Ronald did not. He wasn't
- 40:56Speaker 1: in the CODAS system. So anyway, so this is a
- 41:00Speaker 1: conundrum because this could call like I said, call in
- 41:03Speaker 1: the question the DNA evidence. However, they still have those fingerprints,
- 41:06Speaker 1: and although identical twins have the same DNA, no two
- 41:09Speaker 1: people have the same fingerprints, so that is still something.
- 41:12Speaker 1: And they know based on eyewitness that the killer put
- 41:15Speaker 1: their hand on top of the car, so they know
- 41:18Speaker 1: those belong to the person that actually did this. Now
- 41:22Speaker 1: investigators need to go track down the twin, Ronald, because
- 41:24Speaker 1: now they have cause to bring him in because his brother,
- 41:27Speaker 1: his twin brother, just said, hey, I didn't do this,
- 41:28Speaker 1: Ronald did this. They do find out that he is
- 41:34Speaker 1: in possession of that cell phone, so apparently they share
- 41:36Speaker 1: this cell phone or whatever. They just have this one
- 41:39Speaker 1: cell phone, and so he is in possession of the
- 41:41Speaker 1: cell phone that was connected to the crime scene. And
- 41:44Speaker 1: even though they are you know, they are identical twins.
- 41:46Speaker 1: So of course as they get older, they could their
- 41:50Speaker 1: structures the same. But one of them could have facial hair,
- 41:54Speaker 1: one of them could have aged differently based on lifestyle
- 41:57Speaker 1: one of the gang waight, but they didn't. They looked
- 41:58Speaker 1: almost exactly the same to the day, like you couldn't
- 42:02Speaker 1: tell a part on the video camera like this video surveillance.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Something else they noted whenever they brought him in to
- 42:07Speaker 1: interrogate him. He was smoking that brand of cigarettes that
- 42:10Speaker 1: they knew was the killer had purchased at the convenience store,
- 42:14Speaker 1: and that was found in the course. This is just
- 42:16Speaker 1: more things building up to, you know, say, hey, this
- 42:19Speaker 1: is probably we do it was the other twin anyway,
- 42:22Speaker 1: So they ran both fingerprints and they found out the
- 42:25Speaker 1: actual killer was Ronald's do not Donald.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Wow.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Ronald also had a rap sheet too. They were both bad, Like.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Are they not any bad? Though? I don't understand how
- 42:34Speaker 2: it took a year if there were both some packer
- 42:37Speaker 2: heads that.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Were because they were they were in there, or he
- 42:42Speaker 1: got put in there later or something. But they said
- 42:44Speaker 1: it takes a long time for the system to really
- 42:47Speaker 1: narrow it down. It's not like a quick like word
- 42:50Speaker 1: search out there or something. It takes a long time
- 42:52Speaker 1: for it to pull all the data to get it
- 42:54Speaker 1: to find a match or whatever.
- 42:56Speaker 2: So they were in the system just.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Well, no, I don't know if Ronald wasn't in the system.
- 43:00Speaker 2: You don't know if Ronald or.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Donald was in the system. Donald's the one that pinged
- 43:05Speaker 1: in Cotis. Ronald was not in the system yet, just Donald,
- 43:09Speaker 1: but Ronald was not a good guy either. He was
- 43:12Speaker 1: doing shitty things too. What sucks about this is these
- 43:15Speaker 1: are like terrible people. And there was this nice lady
- 43:19Speaker 1: who was picking up her daughter, who adopted three daughters,
- 43:21Speaker 1: very responsible, doing all this stuff and everything, and just
- 43:23Speaker 1: these these ass hats just walk up and or one
- 43:27Speaker 1: of them does. I mean they both should be in jail.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I feel like the other guy's doing shitty things too.
- 43:32Speaker 1: They said he's dangerous, Like why is he out? And
- 43:34Speaker 1: about anyways?
- 43:37Speaker 2: Room for that guy that'll weed?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Investigators bring Ronald back in to interrogate him, and the
- 43:44Speaker 2: investigator tells him about Jenni and that the type of
- 43:47Speaker 2: person she was, how she adopted these three girls, wanted
- 43:50Speaker 2: to be a teacher. She was a teacher, well, a
- 43:53Speaker 2: preschool owner owner. Excuse me, just.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Give her props where she's gottam s due At the time.
- 44:01Speaker 2: The investigator he leaves this very nice picture of Jeni
- 44:05Speaker 2: on the interrogation table in front of Ronald and then
- 44:08Speaker 2: he leaves. This is when they witness on camera Ronald
- 44:13Speaker 2: apologizing to Jenai's picture about what he had done to her.
- 44:17Speaker 2: After this, he did confess to what he had did.
- 44:20Speaker 2: He said he did what he did, what he had done.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Squeeze me God, the speech police are out today.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Well it's for Jeni, okay, she would want you to
- 44:31Speaker 1: use property proper.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Yes, he said that the gun went off and that
- 44:36Speaker 2: it was an accident and that he did not mean
- 44:38Speaker 2: to shoot her. He said that he then panicked, got
- 44:41Speaker 2: in the vehicle and drove off to ditch it somewhere.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Investigators are not buying this bullshit that it was an accident.
- 44:48Speaker 2: It was very intentional what he had done. And in
- 44:50Speaker 2: February of twenty ten, he was arrested for the murder
- 44:54Speaker 2: of Jenai.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Now, despite confessing to police that he had killed Jani,
- 44:59Speaker 1: he pled not guilty, and during his trial he tried
- 45:03Speaker 1: to blame his twin brother.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Donald oh Man.
- 45:06Speaker 1: He said that his confession was just an attempt to
- 45:09Speaker 1: protect his brother, and then that he was lying about everything.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 45:13Speaker 1: In trying to explain his fingerprints on the car, he
- 45:15Speaker 1: claimed that he tried to help his brother clean up
- 45:17Speaker 1: the car to hide in the evidence. So somehow he
- 45:20Speaker 1: managed to remove all of his brother's fingerprints, but put
- 45:23Speaker 1: his fingerprints exactly where the killer was witnessed putting their fingerprints.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I mean crazy Anyways, the defense and the brother are
- 45:32Speaker 1: shitty because the brother came in and sat in the
- 45:35Speaker 1: courtroom even though he was being like I would think
- 45:38Speaker 1: that I'm not gonna help my brother. He's trying to
- 45:40Speaker 1: blame me for this murder, but he actually going in
- 45:42Speaker 1: there to help his brother out by sitting in the
- 45:44Speaker 1: courtroom and everything. Their facial hair was exactly the same,
- 45:47Speaker 1: to try to confuse the jury and be like, oh,
- 45:50Speaker 1: maybe maybe it is yeah, maybe Donald did do it.
- 45:53Speaker 1: So the whole family's shitty. Okay, these people.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Are because Donald would get on trial and be like, no,
- 45:59Speaker 2: my brother Ronald.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if this has worked before.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Maybe I mean if there's the same DNA and they
- 46:06Speaker 1: only had DNA evidence, but at some point Donald did
- 46:09Speaker 1: get in trouble for something and arrest in his DNA
- 46:11Speaker 1: put in the system. So I don't know. These these
- 46:15Speaker 1: people they suck anyways, So that was something that the
- 46:18Speaker 1: defense tried to do, trying to like just confuse the jury. However, thankfully,
- 46:22Speaker 1: the jury was not buying it because that they had
- 46:24Speaker 1: that fingerprint evidence and it was very solid that those
- 46:27Speaker 1: they would not have the same fingerprints, and he was
- 46:29Speaker 1: found guilty of murder, and he was sentenced to life
- 46:31Speaker 1: in prison plus twenty five years. Hopefully Donald's in jail too.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Hopefully Ronald and Donald are in.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Jail hanging out together eating burgers.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Yes, no, I don't want them eating burgers. I don't
- 46:43Speaker 1: want them hanging out. They should be stuck in a
- 46:47Speaker 1: jail cell together. Actually, they'd probably.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Be miserable, you think.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and then that all the time they want to
- 46:52Speaker 1: be like my brother Ronald did it. No, my brother
- 46:55Speaker 1: don Donald did it, and then they both get their
- 46:57Speaker 1: asses beat up. Anyway, So yeah, I just these kind
- 47:02Speaker 1: of things make me angry because it's like she didn't
- 47:04Speaker 1: even know these persons and they just walk up. She's
- 47:06Speaker 1: just doing and.
- 47:07Speaker 2: We don't even have a mote of other than just
- 47:09Speaker 2: robbing O.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Just robbing her. I'm sure they probably took whatever money
- 47:11Speaker 1: she had in her purse or whatever, but they didn't
- 47:15Speaker 1: sell the car for parts or anything like that. They
- 47:17Speaker 1: just killed her and drove off. I mean, it was
- 47:21Speaker 1: like bizarre anyways. So that is our case for today.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Out of Georgia's dude, do you have a yelling gee?
- 47:30Speaker 2: I always have a yelling jews. Care all right, let's go, Yeah,
- 47:35Speaker 2: you're gonna say something else.
- 47:37Speaker 1: No, are you ready to go?
- 47:38Speaker 2: I'm ready when you ready? Coming to us from the
- 47:41Speaker 2: New York Post my little honey hole where I go
- 47:44Speaker 2: to get my.
- 47:45Speaker 1: What do you say that sounds disgusting?
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yes? I know it bothers you, just like moist panties
- 47:50Speaker 2: bothering you. By Caitlin McCormick, Published December eighth, twenty twenty five.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Kara Man accident sent meth through tube at bank drive through,
- 48:04Speaker 2: According to police Florida, not Florida, Florida and Ohio. Man
- 48:12Speaker 2: was arrested after in Florida and Ohio. Man was arrested
- 48:17Speaker 2: after authorities said he mistakenly sent a baggie of crystal
- 48:20Speaker 2: myth through a tube at a bank drive through last week.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Jason G. Smith, aged forty six, was cuffed on December
- 48:27Speaker 2: third after a swift investigation into an unexpected deposit see
- 48:33Speaker 2: what they did there he made at a bank in Woodsfield, Ohio.
- 48:38Speaker 2: According to a presler release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office,
- 48:44Speaker 2: Smith unknowingly deposited a baggie containing a crystal like substance
- 48:48Speaker 2: consistent with metha amphetamine into the air tube during a
- 48:51Speaker 2: simple transaction at the drive through bank. According to the
- 48:55Speaker 2: sheriff's office, Smith drove away from the bank apparently without
- 48:59Speaker 2: realizing his snaff fu that is sit situation normal, all
- 49:04Speaker 2: fucked up. Okay, in case you did.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Not know, thank you for that. I did know that,
- 49:08Speaker 1: Stuart Okay, crank as you told me a long time ago.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Probably he did this while a buy the book employee
- 49:15Speaker 2: at the bank flag the bizarre deposit. Officials with the
- 49:19Speaker 2: Ohio Department of Natural Resources soon track Smith to Wayne Township,
- 49:24Speaker 2: nearly two hundred miles outside of Woodsfield. According to the release,
- 49:28Speaker 2: that's a long way to be tracked down. Yeah, A
- 49:31Speaker 2: dutiful canine dog named Max sniff Smith's truck and uncovered
- 49:36Speaker 2: suspected drugs and drug related items. Illegal drugs don't belong
- 49:41Speaker 2: in bank drive throughs, but they can be turned in
- 49:44Speaker 2: at the Sheriff's office. No charges, no handcuffs, just help.
- 49:49Speaker 2: We'd much rather safely take them off the street than
- 49:51Speaker 2: see another unexpected deposit. This is the Monroe County Sheriff,
- 49:57Speaker 2: Derek Norman wrote on Facebook trying to be funny. Oh yeah,
- 50:01Speaker 2: Smith was booked into Monroe County Jail. The sheriff said
- 50:05Speaker 2: but his charges have not been announced yet the end
- 50:10Speaker 2: oh wait. Online users struggle to wrap their heads around
- 50:14Speaker 2: Smith's supposed drug bungle. I bet he was mad as
- 50:17Speaker 2: hell deposit his check and his drugs laughing, my effing
- 50:22Speaker 2: ass off. You can't imagine the frantic search that ensued
- 50:24Speaker 2: when he was looking for them. One person commented, So the.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Bank teller kept the drugs and turned them in.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yes, I didn't realize that you could be too stupid
- 50:35Speaker 2: to do drugs. Another person joked, this is your brain
- 50:39Speaker 2: on drugs. One person added, I need to go find this.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you like shoving this up there? It
- 50:45Speaker 1: was he must have been depositing cash, but it's like
- 50:48Speaker 1: a pretty big stack and he well, it would have
- 50:52Speaker 1: been a pretty substantial amount.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Or like it was probably just a little small bagging.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Oh okay, not.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Enough to really get in trouble. Never do while you're missing.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Out, all right, So that's our y'all need Jesus again.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Thank you If you listen to my whole story about
- 51:10Speaker 1: the base camp place. If you think I'm in the wrong,
- 51:17Speaker 1: you're wrong, yes, tell us no, I just I've just
- 51:22Speaker 1: never experienced in places just like there's goes your money,
- 51:27Speaker 1: because I had questions about.
- 51:29Speaker 2: It, like what are you gonna do with the rest
- 51:31Speaker 2: of my credit?
- 51:33Speaker 1: I know, it's like it's just like I would have
- 51:37Speaker 1: been fine if they had responded back said, yeah, sorry,
- 51:40Speaker 1: we had to put you in a to get you
- 51:41Speaker 1: in a bubble. We had to put you in the
- 51:42Speaker 1: But don't lie to me and say that the Deluxe
- 51:44Speaker 1: is the same as Deluxe Bubble, the same as the
- 51:46Speaker 1: regular bubble. I mean that has the word deluxe in it.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Yes, there's no difference. I have.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I have. I mean I have confirmations that show the
- 51:55Speaker 1: amount of money dwindling down as they lower. What level
- 51:58Speaker 1: of place I was staying, Well, here's.
- 52:01Speaker 2: A tent outside of our complex.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Yeah, so I don't know. I can't get myself work.
- 52:07Speaker 1: I'm just gonna have to try to get figure out
- 52:09Speaker 1: a way to get our money back and let other
- 52:11Speaker 1: people know that they need to proceed.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Caution, especially if you're going to cancel, yes.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Or it wasn't. I didn't want to cancel though we
- 52:19Speaker 1: had a medical situation. There was nothing I could do.
- 52:22Speaker 1: It was like a remote location. The doctor's like I
- 52:24Speaker 1: would not go out there, your your your flu I
- 52:27Speaker 1: had like higher levels of fluid or whatever. That's cause
- 52:30Speaker 1: that was that doctor. Anyways, that's a whole nother story.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I had higher levels of fluid, which I'd never had before,
- 52:35Speaker 1: so I was freaked out. They were like your water
- 52:37Speaker 1: could break it any moment. It's a medical emergency. You
- 52:39Speaker 1: got to get to a hospital, and you're we're out
- 52:41Speaker 1: there in a remote area. So they were not they
- 52:43Speaker 1: were they were very understanding at the beginning. I don't
- 52:47Speaker 1: know what happened. I don't know what happened. I booked it.
- 52:50Speaker 1: I booked this back in September. I mean it was
- 52:52Speaker 1: like I never even thought anything about it, that it
- 52:55Speaker 1: would be a problem. I was even okay with losing
- 52:57Speaker 1: the three hundred dollars to them or whatever. It's it's like, okay,
- 53:00Speaker 1: I'll take the loss since I had to cancel. I
- 53:04Speaker 1: just have never anyways, I'll move on from it.
- 53:08Speaker 2: You don't care about throwing that money.
- 53:10Speaker 1: I do care, But I can't get worked up about
- 53:12Speaker 1: this stuff. Got oh, I made a terrible mistake about Garland. No,
- 53:23Speaker 1: I've I had to. I've had to, really, I've had
- 53:26Speaker 1: to really like take it down and notch on like
- 53:28Speaker 1: getting ups. I used to get so worked up about stuff,
- 53:31Speaker 1: but I just can't because otherwise it's going to run
- 53:33Speaker 1: my day and stuff like that. So I have to
- 53:34Speaker 1: just like compartmentalize it, move on, do what I can.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Because the other thing I did was I was like, Okay,
- 53:40Speaker 1: I've been trying to like slowly add Christmas decor each
- 53:43Speaker 1: year and just add like one or two things because
- 53:46Speaker 1: I don't believe in this, like let's just redo Christmas
- 53:48Speaker 1: every year. So many people get a whole new theme
- 53:50Speaker 1: every year. I'm like, I ain't doing that one. It's
- 53:51Speaker 1: expensive and too I like how it's like kind of
- 53:54Speaker 1: mismatch whatever stuff you've had from your childhood all the
- 53:57Speaker 1: way up to like new stuff. Soon as, I was like,
- 53:59Speaker 1: I'm just gonna add a few things. So I got
- 54:00Speaker 1: a real good deer deer, real good deal on some
- 54:03Speaker 1: deer out in the front or in fucking West Texas.
- 54:06Speaker 1: So they just blew over so they're just laying out there,
- 54:09Speaker 1: looked like they got shot. And then and then I
- 54:12Speaker 1: bought garland. I was like, I found some garl Like
- 54:15Speaker 1: it seemed like it was a pretty good deal. I
- 54:16Speaker 1: thought it was. I it was twenty twenty five foot
- 54:20Speaker 1: garland to wrap around the door, So this was gonna
- 54:22Speaker 1: be my new big thing that I was gonna add
- 54:24Speaker 1: this year. They were fifty dollars each. I'm like, you
- 54:26Speaker 1: know what, I'm just gonna do it, and it's gonna
- 54:28Speaker 1: be my one hundred dollars I spent on Christmas Decord
- 54:30Speaker 1: this year, and we're gonna just this will be my
- 54:32Speaker 1: new thing I add because I've always wanted one to
- 54:34Speaker 1: put the lights around the door with the garland and
- 54:37Speaker 1: the bow at the top. So it arrives. I don't
- 54:40Speaker 1: think anything of it. We left, we went to Colorado,
- 54:43Speaker 1: We leave it in the garage, and then Stu Goo's
- 54:45Speaker 1: open up. I'm like, hey, can you put that up
- 54:47Speaker 1: now or whatever? He's like, it's falling apart. I'm like,
- 54:49Speaker 1: what's I was like this? Oh, I was like, no, wonder.
- 54:51Speaker 1: It was so cheap. It's like shitty or whatever. It
- 54:54Speaker 1: was live garland guy. And there's nothing I can do
- 54:58Speaker 1: about it because I went the description is said live.
- 55:01Speaker 1: So if it's my fault, I will just take the hit.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I have another bone to pick with Saands, but that's
- 55:07Speaker 1: to shoot the Pooh story. But but uh, anyways, so
- 55:11Speaker 1: I just had to take and so I had to
- 55:12Speaker 1: like put that on my mind. I was like, I
- 55:14Speaker 1: can't even think about how I just wasted because that
- 55:15Speaker 1: really I do not like to waste money, and that
- 55:17Speaker 1: just really killed me. That hundred dollars. I was like,
- 55:19Speaker 1: this is if I focus on this, this will be tragic.
- 55:22Speaker 1: I will I will spiral. Yes, So I have to.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I've had to learn to compartmentalize.
- 55:28Speaker 2: That means on our next trip, our next cruise, I
- 55:31Speaker 2: got one hundred dollars, I can go spend in the casino.
- 55:34Speaker 1: No, that's if you only if you win my hundred
- 55:36Speaker 1: dollars back from that.
- 55:37Speaker 2: I can't win it if I don't play it.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Yeah. So I've just had to like learn to let
- 55:41Speaker 1: things go in my older age because I can't. I
- 55:44Speaker 1: see how it just like takes more time away from you,
- 55:47Speaker 1: and there's nothing I can do about it. If it's
- 55:49Speaker 1: my fault. Though that was one hundred percent my fault.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I just had to take the hit. This fifteen hundred
- 55:53Speaker 1: dollars is not my fault. This was like I was
- 55:56Speaker 1: trying to work with them and they were just like, here,
- 55:58Speaker 1: take whatever we give you the fuck up. If you
- 56:00Speaker 1: don't like it, we're just removing. We're just taking your fifteen.
- 56:03Speaker 2: And don't ask about the other happy years credit.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and now I'll look back, I'm like, why did
- 56:08Speaker 1: I spend fifteen hundred dollars on these belt But it
- 56:10Speaker 1: was just like we just moved out here and it
- 56:11Speaker 1: was like a cool experience and everything. But now looking back,
- 56:14Speaker 1: now that's cheaper. And then I started reading some of
- 56:16Speaker 1: their reviews and I'm like, it don't sound like it's
- 56:18Speaker 1: that great or whatever. But anyways, nonetheless, I digress.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Here we are, all.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Right, so thank you everybody. Check out Patreon, check out Instagram, Facebook, TikTok.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I post what we have for dinner every night. It's
- 56:32Speaker 1: kind of fun, you know. I just kind of whatever.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Fun for who it's me for no one, I don't
- 56:37Speaker 2: find me.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I just find those things interesting. So I'm like, wow,
- 56:41Speaker 1: I just post what we're having for dinner. Maybe one
- 56:43Speaker 1: day I'll post the recipes.
- 56:45Speaker 2: But I can't post the things to fine I find interest.
- 56:47Speaker 1: No nobody wants to see them anyways. All right, Well, we
- 56:51Speaker 1: will see the Patreons on Friday for Shoot the Pooh
- 56:55Speaker 1: and everybody else next week because we are not going
- 56:59Speaker 1: to base anyways. What do I do? You have anything else?
- 57:05Speaker 2: To say, I do not caro.
- 57:07Speaker 1: All right, well we'll see you next time. By everyone,
- 57:09Speaker 1: Say bye Steve.
- 57:10Speaker 2: By Steve. Don't you know it's bad to be supersticious?
- 57:18Speaker 2: Mind nothing else. It's working and my hand it's pretty
- 57:24Speaker 2: learning and sick. It's worthy. I can
