0:30
Stream You're looking at our friend Gimmicks.
0:33
Welcome to the 2026 Unicorn Fart Dust.
0:36
First, first day of 2026, Happy New Year.
0:40
It's 7:00 where I am in Saint Louis and we're joined right now
0:45
by our friend Gimmicks all the way from Australia where if I
0:48
have this correct, it's 11:00 PM.
0:50
So we are worldwide. We are wishing the world a Happy
0:53
New Year. Mr. Gimmicks, how you doing?
0:56
Welcome to Ron's basement. Welcome to the UFD Duster Club.
1:00
Yo, what's happening? Oh man, it's a pleasure to talk
1:03
to you again, Ron. It's been a minute.
1:04
And yeah, good day. Good day to everyone.
1:07
Yeah, it's 11:00 PM. Sorry, 11:00 PM here in
1:10
Brisbane, Australia, 1st of January 2026.
1:14
And what a way to spend it to start off the year.
1:17
Chat, chatting to you, mate. And the rest of the UFD heard
1:20
out there worldwide, baby. Yeah, that's right.
1:23
Horns up, guys. And we probably, we probably
1:25
have some people joining us on the West Coast where it's 5:00
1:28
AM who've been up all night. So welcome to everybody, whether
1:32
you slept or not. It's 2026.
1:34
We're going to talk about 2026. We're also going to talk about
1:39
gimmicks, awesome NFT project, the Duster gang.
1:42
What's going on with that? Yeah, there you go, right there.
1:47
And gimmicks has been a key community member in UFD it feels
1:51
like since what January, February, March time frame of
1:55
2025 is that is that accurate? Yeah, Yeah, it was, man.
1:59
It was, yeah. A couple of days after you
2:02
launched UFDIIII found you in the project.
2:07
And then from then on I was hooked, mate.
2:09
I just with your story and, and, and just with the community, I
2:13
wasn't able to get up on spaces because there was all spaces
2:16
happening all the time. It was, it was awesome.
2:18
But during my work schedule, I wasn't able to get up and chat
2:21
to everyone. But mate, I was there from, you
2:23
know, the second day in just listening and seeing what was
2:25
going on. And as soon as I heard your
2:28
story, mate, and kind of dove into what you're, where you're
2:31
from and what you're doing, you know, family man as well.
2:34
And you know, and I was like, this is awesome.
2:37
This is something that I'm into and, and just when you when I
2:40
kind of really realized the the, the whole ethos behind it and,
2:46
and just how you're just a genuine, genuine dude, mate.
2:48
When you get when you get to know you, you know, you got a a
2:50
big heart, heart of gold and, and and you're doing this for
2:53
the right reasons. So mate, I just, I was like,
2:55
yeah, I mean, I mean, when I first saw this, I was like, OK,
2:58
maybe I can flip it and make some bucks.
3:00
But when I learned about it and what what is it about?
3:02
I was like, no. You, you know, I mean you know,
3:06
and I'll repeat this, you are what I consider to be one of our
3:09
really active key community members.
3:11
You've been very generous. You're a very talented artist,
3:15
but you're also a great guy, right?
3:16
And you're somebody who I think emulates and is a great example
3:22
of what like all of our core community members exhibit,
3:25
right? High quality, responsible,
3:29
You're great to work with, you're awesome.
3:31
So I want to ask you a question because I think it's important
3:35
for us as a project to think about this if we want to want to
3:39
attract more people like you. What was it?
3:42
I mean, you kind of touched on it, but but what was it about
3:45
UFD? Because I mean, what was your
3:47
journey that kind of led up to when you've discovered UFD?
3:51
And I guess I'm, when I say your journey, I mean within crypto,
3:53
within the NFT world. And then I guess what was it
3:57
about UFD that maybe it was a little different that attracted
4:01
you? Does that make sense?
4:02
Yeah, not 100% bro. It it was man, it was just
4:05
because it was so genuine, like like, like like when you, when
4:09
you listen to your spaces, sorry, sorry, your live streams
4:13
and listen to your chat and just listen to your story.
4:15
You just resonate with it because it's actually real.
4:18
Like when you like when you, you know, turn down all the other
4:21
noise because there's so much noise and BS in the space, which
4:23
is unfortunate, but it is what it is.
4:27
I've, I've mate, mate, I've been, I've, I've been here for
4:29
like I've been here since 2022, I think it was.
4:32
And, and I've been on in in all sorts of different projects,
4:35
been rugged so many times. When, when, when, when you find
4:40
something as special as UFD and without some people jump in and
4:44
don't even realize what it is, but it, it is something truly
4:46
special. I mean, I kind of saw it.
4:48
I was like, this is what the space needs.
4:50
It's finally something that's that's actually real and has A
4:53
and has a good, a good ideology and, and, and feel behind it,
4:59
You know, like just just integrity, prosperity, you know,
5:03
you know, looking after one each other and just, and just
5:05
because, mate, the fact that you turn up every day and you just,
5:09
and you, you know, like we don't have to be here in the space,
5:11
but you every day you're turning out to be in this web free space
5:14
because you see the potential in it and you want to, and you and
5:16
you want to be with other good people that want the same stuff.
5:19
So mate, I, I, I saw that and resonated with that straight
5:22
away because of, you know, I've been around a little bit of,
5:25
I've seen, I've seen and listened to a lot of people talk
5:28
the talk, you know, wear the mask and as soon as the mask
5:31
comes off, they, they do, they do something different, you
5:34
know, dump on people or they just, they just want to come
5:37
into the space and extract. Extract.
5:40
Whereas bro, you like, like you've come into the space
5:43
straight away and you just want to give and, and, and that's
5:46
what resonated with me too. Like, so that's why, that's why
5:48
I did dust the gang man. And so it was like, no, I, I, I
5:51
have to give back. I want, I want to throw my hat
5:53
in the ring, what my creative hat and, and, and do what I can
5:57
for the movement too, because it's, it's, it's big, it's
5:59
special and, and it needs and it needs to keep going.
6:02
And, and for as long as we keep it going, people are going to
6:05
see it more and more people are going to resonate it with with
6:07
it too, man. Yeah, yeah.
6:09
And I and, and, and before I forget, I do want to mention to
6:11
our audience that. Yes, Gimmicks did launch the
6:14
Duster Gang and was, but I would say extremely generous with
6:19
Susie and I in terms of support. It was early on January,
6:22
February and quite frankly, there wasn't much money at all
6:24
coming into our household. And you were extremely generous
6:28
with what you did for us. And I know the community as
6:32
well, right? I mean, it me enabling me to be
6:35
able to stay here helped, I guess the project, but you've
6:38
also been very generous with the community, with giveaways, with
6:42
helping with different projects and, and that's a huge, huge,
6:46
huge deal. You know, I, I guess I'm going
6:48
to get your opinion on this. When I look at 2025 and what,
6:53
you know, it was a big year of learning for me because I knew
6:56
nothing about crypto. And essentially I started this
6:59
project at the very beginning of 2025.
7:02
And when I look back at the not, not, not, let's not talk about
7:06
UFD specific, but let's maybe broaden it a little bit to the
7:10
meme coin sector. And you said this earlier,
7:13
there's a lot of BS in this sector.
7:15
So when I look at 2025, I guess what I learned was it felt like
7:20
there's there's, there's, there's a lot of BSA, lot of
7:22
shady, you know, monkey business, whatever you want to
7:25
call it, that goes on in the meme coin sector.
7:28
There's a lot more coins, OK, because all these launch pads
7:32
launched millions and millions of coins.
7:34
And hey, I'm guilty as charged. UFD was launched on a launchpad,
7:38
OK? I think we were different and
7:40
we'll focus on that a little bit later as well.
7:43
And I think that some people, you know, crypto's gone through
7:48
a hard, little rough patch, I guess you could say, or a cold
7:51
streak or whatever. So you got more BS, you got more
7:55
coins. And, and the reality is, I think
7:58
there's less money in the pool, right?
8:00
There's less liquidity available in the meme coin sector in
8:03
general. And it created an environment
8:06
where we were in our startup phase essentially, but we were
8:10
swimming against the current. And I think that it's important
8:14
for us to remember that really what we accomplished during
8:19
2025, although when you look at the price, it doesn't feel that
8:22
way all the time. But what we did accomplish given
8:27
kind of the macro circumstances or the the weather pattern, what
8:31
however you want to say it that we were trying to sail our ship
8:34
in was kind of working against us.
8:37
And in that, in that if we stick it out and we continue to do
8:40
what we're doing and build and provide a great example and I
8:44
want to hit I want to get back to that as well that that some
8:46
good things could come for UFD. Yeah, man, it 100% I couldn't
8:51
agree more. When you without, without even
8:54
realizing that you, you put that 100 bucks in and made and made
8:57
UFD and then it, it, you know, it launched into the market and,
9:01
and the market over the last year has been so volatile.
9:04
It's been crazy, man. Like like like you look at you
9:07
look at it, I'm like, I delve a little bit into like into the
9:10
crypto a little bit. My wife told like taught me a
9:13
little bit about it, but I'm more of the art side of it at
9:15
the NFT side. So, so, so I like, I like have
9:19
known that a little bit now. And and that's where I've kind
9:21
of like look at it from like a perspective of what what's
9:24
happening in the market. You see what's been happening
9:26
with the NFT market over the last year, some of the Big Blue
9:31
chips, they've gone down so much like it's crazy, like, like
9:34
it's, it's gone down a lot. And, and, and, and that echoes
9:38
with what's happening in the greater, in the greater spectrum
9:40
of things is that people of people are scared and they're
9:43
scared because of, I mean, because of what's happened, like
9:46
pump run jump jumped off and there's so much more coins that
9:50
have been put out there. So people are like jumping in
9:52
and trying to put their money in and trying and trying to get
9:54
this, you know, trying to get their money back and trying to
9:56
make wins. But because there's so much more
9:58
of it happening, what was supposed to happen over the next
10:01
two years with the, with the, with the, with the altcoin push
10:04
has been condensed into six months.
10:06
And it's been so, so crazy that it's just, it's just made
10:10
everyone go, whoa, what's going on?
10:12
So the tides going back out, the tides go back out and, and, and
10:15
it, and it will be crucial now. And this is what's happening
10:18
with UFD and other and other strong communities is that now
10:21
is the most, most important time where you, where you, where
10:23
you'll see the strong communities still stick, still
10:26
stick together, still show up every day, still be, be like
10:30
creating something, even if it's just something little, but still
10:32
doing stuff. These are the communities that
10:34
will pop off again when, when the tide comes back in, because
10:37
it will come back in. But at the moment, because
10:39
there's so much fear and uncertainty, at the moment,
10:42
there's nothing. There's nothing here, man.
10:44
There's only a few people here that are still that are still
10:46
chattering and still kind of playing the game.
10:47
But it will it will change. But you and you know what?
10:51
And it's kind of exciting. And yeah, look, I'm not going to
10:54
claim to be great friends with Luka Nets, but I talked to him
10:59
months back and he pointed it out.
11:00
It's like the the hard times are really the best times because
11:05
that's when real communities are built.
11:07
And if you think about what you just said, gimmicks, and it kind
11:09
of makes sense. Like the way I look at it is
11:11
there's this pool of people within the meme coin sector.
11:15
A lot of them are gamblers, right?
11:17
And the gamblers, the the ones that just want to make a quick
11:20
buck and go are, are kind of, you know, are kind of maybe
11:24
leaving the sector because they're running out of money
11:27
basically. But the projects that last like
11:30
us, we're attracting the quality people, right, that are that are
11:34
going to and we don't really want the gamblers.
11:36
I mean, you know, it's fun when the pump, when the when the
11:38
price of the coin gets a big giant green candle and all
11:42
that's wonderful, right? But really for long term
11:44
sustainability, we want quality people.
11:47
And in this environment, environment is, is is the is the
11:51
is the dust settles in the meme coin sector.
11:54
The, the quality people that are left are going to be looking for
11:58
quality projects. And then like you said, right,
12:01
the ones that stick out, stick around and actually do things
12:05
and show like, like we can build, build, build, build our,
12:09
our, our herd or our group or, you know, our Duster corral full
12:15
of really good quality people who aren't in this for like
12:18
holding the coin for 30 minutes or, or, or four days or
12:22
whatever. But they really want to be here
12:24
on a long term basis. Yeah, not 100%.
12:26
It's, it's the people here that are kind of are sticking it out,
12:31
but they're sticking it out really because they want to be
12:33
here. Like as I said before, like like
12:35
Web 3, it's a, it's a bit of a playground at the moment.
12:38
It's, it's very new. There's money to be made here
12:40
obviously across crypto and NFTS and everything else.
12:43
But, but it's, it's a very new playground in regards to a lot
12:46
of other ecosystems. So people are in here seeing
12:50
what's going on. We don't have to be here, but we
12:52
choose to be here because we see that, we, we see the potential
12:55
in it. And, and like, like, like the
12:56
instant connectivity with people, like what we're doing
12:58
here, Ron, like, like, you know, we chat on the regular, you
13:02
know, and we're able to, you know, just chop it up here, you
13:05
know, all across the world. And we're, and we're tied
13:07
together through a silly little Unicorn called Dusty.
13:10
Like like, it's, it's wild, mate.
13:12
It's funny. It's it's, it's video game
13:14
stuff. It's it's wild, but it happens.
13:17
It's it's real. I mean, like, you know, when I
13:19
first got into crypto a year ago, people would say Web 3 and
13:22
I'm like, I don't know what Web three, It didn't make sense to
13:24
me. Like what is and I would ask
13:26
people and you get different responses.
13:29
But I think what I've settled on with Web 3 is it's this platform
13:33
where as opposed to Web 2, right?
13:36
Because I'm big into YouTube. I understand YouTube and how it
13:39
works and I've made and I've built community and I've made
13:42
relationships on on YouTube, no doubt.
13:45
But Web 3 enables us to develop this, which is a much deeper
13:50
connection with people. And, and if you think about, if
13:53
you go back to what we talked about with what's going on right
13:56
now with UFD and then kind of the meme coin sector at whole,
13:59
we align with that perfectly. Everybody in crypto says, oh,
14:02
web three, Web 3, it's like we are, I mean, Unicorn fart test,
14:06
I think is a really great, like pure, almost pure example of
14:10
what web three can do 'cause I feel like you're a friend of
14:14
mine. I feel like if I showed up in
14:16
Brisbane and said, Hey, gimmicks, I'm here that you'd be
14:19
like, come on over, brother. You know, and, and, and, and,
14:22
and we've all in our community, everybody watching right now has
14:26
developed really like real relationships with people, real
14:30
relationships, right? And, and that's what web three
14:33
suppose like we are what, what meme coins.
14:36
I'm getting excited here. Sorry, gimmicks, but we are with
14:39
me. Let's say sorry about that mate.
14:40
That's good. We, we are, we are what meme
14:43
coins and what and what web 3 is really supposed to be, right?
14:48
You talked about the ethos right and of crypto.
14:50
And I think that we're also overall aligned with what the
14:54
founding fathers of crypto wanted crypto to be, right,
14:57
community driven, decentralized. We weren't some project that
15:01
like me and you were on a on a call saying, Hey, gimmicks,
15:04
let's let's both invest, you know, $50,000 and start a coin
15:09
and I'll own 40%, you own 40% and we'll sell 20% and then
15:14
we'll dump it on everybody. No, like we are like from day
15:18
one, right? Like basically like perfectly
15:21
aligned with crypto. Sorry, I got a little little
15:24
passionate there. That's good.
15:26
No, I love it mate, that's good. No, but that's that's exactly
15:29
what it is. And one of one of the awesome
15:32
things that I love about it coming from coming from the NFT
15:35
side of it is, is that UFDAUFD without even realizing it is
15:40
like a home for all sorts of different NFD communities, also
15:43
sorts of different factors and, and, and factions in this big
15:47
ecosystem like you. Like you don't have to fly 1
15:50
banner and go no no no this is all I do.
15:52
Right. Everyone's welcome in UFD and
15:55
everyone can go off and everyone can weigh different PFPS and
15:57
everyone can do their own sort of stuff.
15:59
But UFUFD and what it and what it, what it actually stands for.
16:03
If you're cool, then you're cool.
16:04
Then you can come and join like it's, it's good.
16:06
Like all we want is just good attracts good prosperity people,
16:11
you know, integrity, people looking out for each other and
16:13
that's it. And then and you know, the Sky's
16:14
the limit. And that's, that's what I love
16:17
about it, mate, is that is that is that there's no boundaries.
16:19
Anyone can jump in. Yeah, no.
16:21
And you're and you're right. And I say this all the time,
16:23
like in UFD, everybody's and it's, that's also super
16:27
exciting. I mean, you're a great example
16:29
of what I'm about to say. Like all throughout the world,
16:32
excuse me if you have access, excuse me to a, to a cell phone
16:38
or you have access to a computer.
16:40
Everybody in the world has access to UFD.
16:43
And we all set aside like what might be like differences that
16:48
we might have, whether it be religious, political, whatever,
16:52
right? If I'm a heart and you know, and
16:54
I'm not a political guy, but if I'm a, I'm sure we have some
16:57
very hardcore conservatives and some very liberal people, but
17:01
they set that aside, right? If they want to talk about that,
17:04
there's other places. Like you said, this is, this is
17:07
really a community of good attracts good and, and also like
17:11
equal opportunity equality and, and something that, that, that I
17:17
because I think at the end of the day, no matter what our
17:19
individual beliefs might be on a number of matters, most people
17:23
share a lot more in common than they have differences.
17:26
And when they kind of set certain things aside and come
17:29
together in a group, there's a certain magic that happens.
17:33
And I think that's been kind of one of the driving forces of
17:36
this project from the very beginning.
17:38
Yeah, no, I agree. I agree.
17:40
It's, it's, and it's one of those things that, that, that
17:42
will as as, as, as time goes on too, because you know, the likes
17:47
of yourself and everyone else in the community that are that,
17:49
that are just showing up every day and just, and just putting
17:51
in the work, no matter what what it's what it is, green or red.
17:55
This will start to become solidified even more as we go
17:59
because when, when the, when the tide turns and, and it will, it
18:02
always, it always does. It's like it's, it's cyclical.
18:04
It, it always has been. It always will be when it comes
18:07
back, there's going to be hype again and it's going to pop off,
18:10
But people are going to turn to to the likes of UFD because,
18:13
because, because what we're doing now is going to be boosted
18:16
even stronger because it's because it's going to be more
18:19
eyes on us. Like I was thinking the other
18:21
day I was, I was painting, painting, painting that like
18:24
that, that latest graffiti mural I did with some friends for for
18:28
a birthday. And, and I was just talking to
18:31
people at the wall and, and I was just thinking how, how, how
18:36
is the market going to get these kind of people that, that, that
18:39
are just normally, is that not about crypto?
18:42
And then how these people are going to come into web 3 and
18:46
want to be a part of it. And, and initially it's either
18:49
going to come, I think personally from, from, from,
18:52
from the visual stories that we, that we portray the
18:56
relationships that we have with people that people hear about
18:58
and they're like, this is amazing.
19:00
And then of course, the, the, the normal mainstream media that
19:05
catches onto it when we get, when we get all three of those
19:08
things popping off, like that's when I think that it will, that
19:11
it will turn and, and, and how long this takes, I'm not sure,
19:15
man, I'm not sure. But, but it will like, I'm
19:18
certain it will happen because, because, because the space needs
19:22
something like UFD. It's, it's been, it's been a
19:25
long time coming, man. Like, like I've seen projects
19:27
come and go, people come in pretending there's something and
19:31
then they bounce and they, and they just just, and they just
19:34
lying just just to, just to flip a coin.
19:36
But this is, this is, this is, this is different than that man.
19:41
I, I, it needs, it needs to happen.
19:43
It needs to be in the space. And and I and I think, and I
19:45
think we will, we will persevere and go forward, I think.
19:48
Yeah, yeah. Well, and I wrote two things
19:49
down as you were talking. I think people want something
19:53
safe and reliable, OK, because yes, we're a meme coin, but
19:57
people are putting money into meme coins at the end of the
20:01
day. And they want to have a project
20:03
that they feel they can rely on in a place where they feel safe,
20:07
where they're not going to get rugged, where they're not, where
20:09
they're not gambling on something.
20:11
And those are the people that we want, right?
20:14
Those are the those are the people that are going to buy the
20:16
token and hold the token, right? People that that that put a high
20:20
level of priority on things like.
20:22
Safety and reliability and community and, and quality,
20:26
right? And that's, I mean, that's the
20:28
other thing. And I promise I won't go on my
20:29
rank because I do it almost every day.
20:31
But you're and you're a great example.
20:33
OK, you're a great example. And I use you as an example
20:37
often when I'm talking about this.
20:38
But there's a whole corral full of other dusters that also meet
20:43
this qualification. And the qualification is just
20:46
overall quality of people. So when the normies are out
20:50
there and they're looking for, you know, when, when memes do
20:54
get back into kind of the radar of the mainstream and they're
20:57
looking, they're going to look. And once they, once they stick a
21:00
toe inside of our corral where all of us unicorns hang out
21:05
together, right, all of us dusters hang out together,
21:07
they're going to immediately meet people like you and other
21:12
people like you and be like, wow, these are good people.
21:15
These aren't like scammers hiding behind a, a APFP or
21:19
whatever they're called that are trying to, you know, they're,
21:22
they're going to feel like, wow, this is a, you know, almost
21:25
like, and I'm not a real religious guy, great for anybody
21:28
who is, but like, if they went to a new church and walked in
21:30
and thought, these are my people, right?
21:32
Because we want other people that are like us.
21:34
And I think that's a big competitive advantage that we
21:37
have, not that we're competing against anybody because we are
21:40
just who we are, but I think that we are changing meme coins
21:45
or we have the opportunity to change the meme coin sector by
21:49
just leading by example and by and by showing people this is
21:53
what this is what a meme coin project can be.
21:56
And, and there's other great projects out there, right?
21:59
But but they're, they're unfortunately in that start to a
22:02
certain degree, few and far between.
22:06
The other thing I want to mention, I want to get your
22:07
opinion on too, that I think is cool about our project and
22:10
unique is that, you know, we aren't based on any certain
22:14
technology. We're based on people and
22:16
community and, and a really cool meme, right?
22:20
And and the idea of the Unicorn and those things last forever,
22:24
right? That like I've heard people talk
22:26
about and lately I've been thinking it was like, I think of
22:29
like Coca-Cola or David Golkstein uses the, the, the
22:34
well in the United, you may not know this, but there's a thing
22:36
called GEICO insurance company. They have a gecko that's like
22:39
their meme, like memes, like really cool memes are timeless,
22:43
right? Like we're not dependent upon
22:46
some great promise of a certain tech that we're developing or
22:49
anything like that. Like we're dependent on a really
22:52
cool meme, really cool people and, and quality.
22:56
And I think that's, I think that's a strength that we have.
22:59
Exactly, man, it, it, it people, people will, will, will be
23:03
attracted with the stuff that they resonate with and that and
23:06
they, and they, and they get a bit of a laugh out of or, or
23:09
something that they feel that they feel, you know, you know,
23:12
warm with like one, one of the, one of the boys at the wall I
23:15
was painting with he, he, he bought an old shirt that I did
23:18
off of, of Pepe Pepe the frog. And, and, and he, and he wears
23:22
that often and people stop him and they go, Oh, Pepe, you know,
23:25
that's, that's amazing. There's no different with other,
23:28
with other memes that have that, that, that have that longevity
23:31
and have that people loving it and pushing it.
23:34
It's only a matter of time before before it starts to
23:36
populate everywhere. Like I like, I see my kids, I've
23:39
got 3 kids now and, and, and they're schooling me on, on, on
23:43
what, on what's cool and what's popular and all sorts of imagery
23:46
that's coming through all different new memes.
23:48
Like they're schooling me all the time, like every other day
23:51
they're calling me. OK, unk, you don't know what
23:53
you're talking about. You know, like it's, it's crazy
23:56
mate. But, but but it's the, it's the
23:58
younger generation that are going to pick this up.
24:00
Like, like, like what I often think about it all the time.
24:03
I've been, you know, 30 plus years deep in this game of
24:06
illustration and art. But, but but what I'm doing now
24:10
is going to be taken up by the younger generation.
24:13
So the younger generations are going to be moving this what
24:16
we're doing now isn't, isn't, isn't the thing that's going to
24:19
be, you know, only only a six month, a one year, A2 year.
24:23
No, no, this is 510 years deep. And the kids are going to start
24:26
pushing this and and then and then God knows where it goes
24:29
from there. But but it's exciting, man.
24:32
Like, like, like when I see when I see people talk about like
24:35
just going back to the, to the Pepe shirt, like that's the,
24:40
that's the, that's the little, the little catalyst that will,
24:43
that will move, move these sparks with community.
24:45
And then and then and then expand this to Web 2 to go, OK,
24:48
what's this? What's this noise?
24:50
And then that's the thing that's going to pull it back to Web 3.
24:52
And just touching back on what you said before about, about
24:55
this isn't a competition. And this is what kind of
24:57
frustrates me a little bit in this, in this, in this ecosystem
25:01
is that everyone's fighting for attention.
25:03
Everyone's trying to be #1 top dog, but but everyone should
25:06
kind of step back a little bit, have a sip of their coffee and
25:09
see what's going on. This is a bigger, this is a
25:11
bigger thing. This is, this is, this is a,
25:13
this is a platform where where if one, if one project or one or
25:17
one coin, whatever, 11 little group prospers and wins.
25:24
And that's going to lift everyone up like, and this is,
25:27
and this is what I do with everything in my work.
25:28
Like, like, like I'm teaching, I'm always giving trips and
25:31
ticks to everyone, to other artists because, because I want
25:34
everyone to be lifted up. Like like when that when that
25:37
happens, then and then everyone catches the wind and then the
25:39
whole ecosystem will like move better because everyone's like,
25:42
Oh well, everyone's, everyone's getting good.
25:44
Everyone, everyone's catching wins it.
25:45
And then that brings in more and more people.
25:47
That's it's only positive. Yeah, yeah.
25:50
You know, I was on a spaces Tuesday night with a community
25:53
called Pizza, which is giving away pizzas and and I didn't
25:58
know much about them, honestly. And I learned a great deal when
26:02
I was on that with them. And and one of the guys who's a
26:05
big leader in that community said something that I think was
26:09
really, really cool. And that was that, you know,
26:11
initially they kind of modeled what they were doing after UFD.
26:16
And, you know, at first glance, I think some people say, oh, you
26:19
know, it's somebody trying to farm us or somebody trying, but
26:21
they've been doing it now for a long time.
26:23
And I'm like, that's good. That's what we want to see
26:26
happen, right? Is other good communities to the
26:29
extent that that we can be a positive or were a positive
26:33
influence on that, on that person, on that community that
26:36
helps everybody in the end, right?
26:38
Because the more good projects are in are in the are in the
26:43
meme coin sector, the more good people are going to come in and
26:47
and the better that all of us can do.
26:49
And, and I agree with you 100%. I loved what you said about
26:52
helping other, you know, young artists and I know you helped, I
26:55
think you helped. Was it amicorn in the UFD
26:57
community? Well, Amy.
26:59
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Amy. Helped, helped her launch an NFT
27:02
project, you know, and, and I've always done that.
27:06
I did that when I was on YouTube, help people get their
27:10
channels started and, and it just, I don't know, it just
27:13
feels good. And at the end of the day, it
27:16
winds up helping you as well from AI.
27:19
Guess the selfish perspective a little bit, but it really does.
27:22
And it's just, I think it's, it's the way to do things.
27:25
Yeah, and 100% I've, I've always wondered the one of the homies
27:29
in the graffiti scene. Actually, I'm, he's, he's in the
27:32
graffiti scene, but he's, but I met him through NFTS Selleck.
27:36
He he, he said something that that really resonated with me.
27:39
And this was like 3 years ago. Each each one teach one and
27:43
that. And if everyone does that, then
27:45
everyone's lifted up, you know, you know, don't be, don't be,
27:48
don't be scared or don't be worried, fearful of, of sharing
27:52
your gifts with people, you know, because sharing your
27:55
skills and sharing your craft with someone, sharing your good
27:58
times with people is only going to, you know, you know, share
28:01
that, share that wisdom and that love around and that'll come
28:04
back to you. And then you'll get better,
28:05
better. Samantha, I've always been about
28:06
that. I'll, I'll always continue to be
28:08
about that. Yeah, it's, it's funny you say
28:10
that. I don't, I don't want to get too
28:11
far off track, but I, I built a big YouTube channel for the gold
28:15
and silver niche and, and I studied YouTube.
28:20
OK, I mean, I studied it every day, read books about it, Learn,
28:23
learn, learn, learn to, to get to get as good as I could get at
28:27
it. And in practice, right, I worked
28:29
at it every day. And then people would start
28:31
coming to me and, and that, you know, like I had some really
28:35
good, what I thought were secrets, right?
28:37
And, and what I found was the more I shared those perceived
28:41
secrets that I had with is anyone who came to me and was
28:45
asking me a, or, you know, advice, opinions, counsel,
28:49
whatever it was, the better that I did, the better they did.
28:52
I mean it, it really is cool what you describe.
28:55
I mean, it really works. And it's not like, I mean, we're
28:58
all in this together, right? And and I think that applies to
29:02
what we're to what we're doing with UFD as well.
29:06
Yeah, no, no I think so too mate.
29:08
Like I take everything back to because I grew up doing a
29:12
graffiti and, and painting walls, like a lot of people
29:15
would go to a wall and they wouldn't, and they wouldn't want
29:17
to share, you know, share their secrets or the little little a
29:20
little, a little tricky little, you know, tricky little can
29:23
yeah, can tricks or whatever. But man, I didn't care.
29:26
I'll I'll, I'll be like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll show you how to
29:27
do it. Because the next time, next time
29:29
when I'm at the wall and I'm painting with homie, then he's
29:31
going to show me something too. And then we're going to then
29:33
we're all going to lift up. It's it's good.
29:35
And then I'm going to be like, oh, lucky he did that.
29:37
I'm going to try this. And you know, it's, it's good
29:39
that back and forth. It's, it's no different than
29:41
when you're than when you're in a bit of a, a creative
29:44
mastermind with all sorts of different people.
29:45
Scientists used to do this. They, they still do.
29:48
They'll all, they'll all, they'll all jump in a room for
29:49
24 hours and they all just throw their different ideas together
29:53
and they come up with something like amazing.
29:54
Like, yeah, that's awesome. We, I, I think we get much
29:58
further working together then we do trying to work by ourselves,
30:04
right. I want to go out.
30:05
I want to talk about Duster Gang.
30:07
For those of you, we got a 300 people on here with us right
30:10
now. It's 7:00 in the morning.
30:12
Yeah, that's big. And I want to show up.
30:15
Anybody who's joined us, this is gimmicks.
30:18
He's a talented graffiti artist, a talented artist, a talented
30:23
NFT artist has launched a very successful UFD oriented NFT
30:30
project, Duster Gang. I'm going to go out and why
30:33
don't you tell us, why don't, why don't you tell us who you
30:36
are gimmicks. Because I, I maybe I didn't do
30:39
a, a, a a very thorough job there.
30:42
No, no, no. I appreciate that, mate.
30:44
Yeah, I go by gimmick spawn. I've man, I've been, I'm a
30:49
professional tattoo artist. I'm an illustrator.
30:52
I've been tattooing for about nearly 1413 years now, but I've
30:55
been doing illustration in art of over 30 years, 46 years old
31:01
now. So being, I started when I was a
31:03
teenager, so I've been in the game for a while now.
31:05
And, and yeah, started off doing actually digital art and graphic
31:09
design. And then then I moved from that
31:11
into tattooing and from tattooing just kind of was able
31:15
to tattoo as well as doing a lot more murals.
31:18
So I was very fortunate to do a few murals all, all around the
31:21
world, met up with a lot of cool, talented people, painted
31:25
all sorts of different stuff. It was, it was very good fun.
31:28
But all along with that, just doing tattooing and illustration
31:31
really kind of was allowed me to meet all sorts of different folk
31:34
and, and, and just stretch my, my tool bag a lot.
31:38
And that's what, and, and that's what got me into NFTS during
31:42
COVID. I was like, I had to step back
31:43
and tattooing and I saw what was happening in, in the web 3
31:48
ecosystem and was like, what's this NFT stuff?
31:50
So Long story short, I did a few one-on-one NFTS on the Phantom
31:55
Chain with all the homies over there and then made my way all
32:00
through to Ethereum, hooked up with the genuine Undead
32:06
community, and then found you, Ron, and then found, I found UFD
32:11
and I was like, heard your story.
32:12
And I was like, it's funny because when I've been, when
32:14
I've been doing NFTS for a while, the, the, the collectors
32:20
and the people that, that were collecting my art were always
32:22
like, oh, when are you going to gimmicks?
32:23
When are you going to do a, a generative collection?
32:25
You know, we want, we need, we need a big collection.
32:27
And I was like, no, not yet, soon, soon, not yet, not, not,
32:30
not yet. But, but my UFD came along and I
32:33
heard your story and I was like, it's time, it's time to cook.
32:37
I need, I need to, I need to do this, this generative
32:40
collection. And it's my first generative
32:41
collection. Been a long time coming.
32:44
And it was fun, man. I just did my interpretation of,
32:47
of, of Billy the Unicorn. Yeah, he's he's he's normally
32:50
sitting that sitting back there behind you.
32:52
And I did my kind of like my fresh little kind of, you know,
32:56
it's, it looks like a Unicorn, but it's not, it's some people
32:59
say it's a dinosaur. It's, it's fine.
33:01
It's, it's, it's like a fresh little take on a Unicorn.
33:04
But, but yeah, I did like a collection that's 2222 dusters
33:11
and it's based Dusty Gang is based around the ethos behind it
33:15
is Dusty Gang is, is, is in the world that I'm creating.
33:18
It's like a bigger kind of world.
33:20
It, it fits right in there. And, and, and the larger tail
33:23
that will, will, will be revealed as we go on.
33:26
Because, you know, being my first generative mate, I've got
33:28
a lot more heart to give. And Dusty Gang's just the first
33:32
piece mate. And, and to be honest, the fact
33:35
that I was able to do it and you know, and give and make sure
33:38
that you know, 10% to the, to the, to the, to the marketing
33:41
wallet. And then you know, and, and
33:43
monies to you, to, to you and your family mate.
33:45
That's, that's epic. That's another that mate, that's
33:48
another silver lining to this, to this web 3 space mate.
33:51
Then you, you know, you've got, you've got some random Titleist
33:55
in, in Australia that loves UFD, that wants to make your
33:58
collection and then you're able to get some funds for it and
34:01
then it's back into UFD. It keeps it moving.
34:04
Like what, what, what other, what other ecosystem does this
34:07
mate? What are the what are the spice
34:09
does this? I don't know, man.
34:10
It's. It's it's incredible.
34:13
I remember we were on spring break in a place called Branson,
34:16
MO, which is a tourist town. And I was awake, we were waking
34:20
up the day to come home and my elderly parents were with us.
34:24
And I was looking through my messages and I don't think I'd
34:26
ever really met you. And I saw I had a message from
34:29
you. And I'm like, gimmicks.
34:30
I'm like, and you got your little carrot.
34:32
Oh, by the way, where is it? There it is.
34:33
Can you see right there Gimmicks.
34:35
I got the carrots out for you this.
34:37
Morning. Yeah, and I and I was like,
34:42
what's this? And then I talked to some other
34:44
people and they were like, they were like we was on a space.
34:47
I I just, I think I'm remembering this correctly.
34:49
One of the the the key community people I talked to on ribs said
34:53
he was on a spaces last night. And and and they're like, he's
34:56
like the most genuine good guy in the world.
34:59
And, and, and I got the message from you about the support.
35:02
And then I was like, wow. You know, I mean, like, it was a
35:05
total surprise and totally cool. And I want to point out to
35:08
everybody who's joining us, it's right there on his shirt.
35:10
Duster Gang, you're doing a good job.
35:12
There you go. Duster gang.
35:14
UFD baby. Yeah.
35:17
And it's been a huge benefit to our community.
35:19
I want to pull up a couple things.
35:22
And I want to talk to you about this.
35:23
I want to. I want to pull up.
35:25
Let me let me do this. Not this first.
35:28
I'm going to pull up something else first on the screen, which
35:32
was the recent. And by the way, here's gimmicks
35:36
X profile GIMIKS with a carrot behind it.
35:40
Don't forget the carrot. And he's at gimmicks born.
35:43
He's one of the coolest people I've met in my entire life.
35:46
OK, He's up there in the. Yeah, well, you're not on.
35:50
You should hopefully on screen people are seeing your.
35:53
Yeah, they are. So I want to go down here to
35:55
this. Oops.
35:56
Shoot. Hold on one second.
35:57
Gimmicks I'm I'm screwing up here.
36:00
I want to go down to the recent graffiti here.
36:06
It is right here and I mean this is incredible.
36:09
How long so this is a piece of graffiti art that you did on a
36:12
wall. I mean is is this just like a a
36:17
wall where you're free to paint graffiti?
36:19
How does this work? How does this like come about?
36:21
I'm just curious. Yeah, that walls down in a place
36:24
called Mullumbar. It's it's it's kind of it's a
36:26
legal wall that's near the river of Mullumbar and it's and it's
36:31
kind of looked after by one of the local legends.
36:34
His name's graffiti name. You know, he goes by basics and
36:38
he looks after the wall and, and he's, and he's, and he's been
36:40
doing that for a long time. So it's kind of like a legal
36:42
spot that you can go to, but you, you have to kind of, you
36:46
know, get permission to do it. But we, we got permission to go
36:50
down there and, and there was about about 10 or 12 of us down
36:53
there painting for like a very special day.
36:56
It was, it was good, mate. It was those sort of jams, you
36:59
know, are fun. It's good to get together with
37:01
other artists and just throw some paint around.
37:03
And yeah, it was good, mate. So, so you so you did this
37:06
entire piece of graffiti. How long did it take you?
37:10
I'm just just out of curiosity. Yeah, we, we, we got down there
37:14
about 10:00 and we finished about 5:00.
37:16
But there was, it was probably about probably about 3-3 hours
37:19
of just, of just chin wag and, and just, and just chopping it
37:23
up. So maybe about four hours.
37:25
Wow, wow. OK, so I want to start this
37:28
video over again and this it's only 16 seconds and is that your
37:33
tag right there, the black part? OK, I mean.
37:36
This is incredible. Did you, did you, do you paint
37:39
the whole background first the green and then?
37:42
Or was it already painted for you?
37:44
Just out of curiosity. Yeah, yeah, No, I, I, it was, it
37:48
was my job. The boys were like gimmicks.
37:50
Can you bring the buff, which is in Australia, we call it buff,
37:52
but it's like house paint. So I brought all the house
37:55
paint. That was, that was the the base
37:56
coat. So that's that one like that
37:58
dark grey green. So I bought, I bought that down
38:02
for everyone. And then and then and then we
38:03
bought paint off off off basics. And basically what you do is you
38:07
just we just buffed it pretty rough there.
38:09
You can see the piece underneath a little bit, but you buff it
38:12
first and then you sketch, get a can and SketchUp the basic
38:15
character outline shapes. And then you just start to fill
38:19
it in like you would do a drawing.
38:20
And that and that, that actual graffiti piece there, that's by
38:24
one of the homies. I, I didn't actually do that
38:27
piece. I did the I did the dust again,
38:29
a zombie zombie character and he did that, that graffiti piece
38:33
next to it. So that's a bit of a join up
38:35
between me and him. So, so wait a minute, but you
38:38
did this character right here. OK, You did that.
38:42
And that's all done with spray paint.
38:44
Yep, Yep, Yep, little spray paint.
38:46
Wow, that is incredible. You know, I got to be on.
38:49
I love the whole thing. But, and I showed this yesterday
38:52
during the live stream, the teeth that blows me away those
38:58
those teeth. I mean, it's really, truly
39:01
incredible, man. You are super talented.
39:04
That is awesome. And let's go over to, oh, there
39:07
it is there. And that's you correct.
39:09
Yep, Yep, Yep. That's me.
39:11
Yep. Wow.
39:12
That's me. That is really awesome gimmicks.
39:16
OK, And now I want to go back and and give you an opportunity
39:20
if you liked or whatever extent you want to talk about what's
39:22
going on with the Duster Gang NFT project because I saw this
39:27
this morning, the infamous I'll I'll read this with as much
39:31
fanfare and enthusiasm as I can. The infamous Donnie Duster Sr.
39:37
one of one DG just sold for 3.5 Solana family.
39:42
Congrats to the seller and the new owner, UFD Duster gang, yo,
39:47
which I love when you say that we still out here horns up
39:50
dusters. So tell me about what went on
39:52
with that and kind of what's going on with the Duster Gang
39:56
NFT project and I'll I'll pull this guy up on full.
39:59
Screen. Yeah, yeah, that's, that's
40:00
Donnie Duster. He he, he, he's one of the
40:03
secret. Secret.
40:04
Rare one on ones in the collection.
40:05
There's actually, there's a collection of 2222, but there's,
40:09
there's actually a couple of like sub collections that are
40:12
quite rare in the collection. He's from a like a sub
40:15
collection of 40 secret rare one on ones that that almost like
40:20
when you get poker, I'm sorry, Pokémon cards, you know, there's
40:24
like the rares, ultra rares, and then these are the secret rares.
40:27
And yeah, he's one of the, he's one of the only four Ninja
40:30
Turtles kind of inspired dusty gangs in there.
40:35
So yeah, he was pretty special and he got, he got picked up
40:38
tonight. So.
40:39
So that's yeah, Congrats to the buyer and the holder, but mate,
40:42
that's. A pretty high price, right for a
40:45
in this marketplace, for a, for a, for an NFT.
40:48
Correct, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, at the moment, mate.
40:50
That's quite that's quite significant mate.
40:53
Just just I was going over the looking at the stats the other
40:56
day of just of of just what Dusty Gang has done.
40:59
And this is, and this is because of the community, mate, like,
41:01
like the UFD community just got, got behind it incredibly.
41:06
Like I thought, you know, I'll do a collection and, and, and,
41:09
and see how it goes. And, and, and the whole UFD
41:12
community got behind it so much and, and they just pushed it,
41:15
mate. Like we've done 2100 Solana
41:18
volume on the secondary, 2100 Solana that's, that's on
41:23
secondary that's gone through the marketplace, mate.
41:25
That's, that's crazy, That's nuts, especially in this market
41:29
and, and, and some of the sales that we were getting a while
41:33
ago, it's very, very quiet at the moment.
41:35
But but a while ago there was like sales of like 20 souls, 17
41:38
soul, like 10 soul like that was.
41:40
And and probably when Solana was much higher price wise than it
41:44
is right now. Correct.
41:45
Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly mate. It's, it's crazy.
41:48
And, and, and one of the most special things about the
41:51
collection is, is, is that I was able to get a lot of my art
41:55
homies that I've met over in the phantom chain, which is now
41:58
Sonic homies from Ethereum, all different chains and, and IRL as
42:04
well, like Tata W that I know illustrators to, to jump into
42:08
the collection and do and do and do legendary one on ones for me.
42:12
So there's so there's ten different, there's ten different
42:15
artists. Oh, sorry, 9-9 different artists
42:17
that have put one on ones in the collection as well.
42:19
So, so that's, that's what I mean, like to, it was pretty
42:22
special for me to like, you know, like to go, oh, like these
42:25
are, these are my talented friends, you know, like have a
42:27
look at them too, you know, because yeah, yeah, it was
42:30
pretty, it was pretty awesome, man.
42:31
But Dusty gang, it's my first, my first generative collection.
42:36
It's it's just one little piece to A, to a much bigger story
42:40
that's going to unfold as time goes on.
42:43
And you'll see that evolve through through through more
42:46
art, more comic stories and everything else.
42:49
Mate who? Who knows what's to come?
42:51
Yeah, yeah. So now I'm, I'm a, as you know,
42:53
I'm an, an FT novice. So I want to make sure I when
42:56
you say generative, because you've used that word a few
42:58
times, does that mean that there's like, well, explain, I
43:02
will let you. I in my mind.
43:03
I in my mind. It makes sense, but I want to
43:06
make sure I understand it correctly.
43:07
Yeah, well, well, a generative imagine this.
43:10
It's, it's the way I, I did the collection is, is that I did,
43:16
they're called traits. So, so imagine, imagine you've
43:18
got like a background layer. And then on top of the
43:21
background, you've got, you've got the body of the duster and
43:24
on top of them you've got the clothing and then you've got the
43:26
face, the hair, hat and all sorts of stuff.
43:28
So all different layers and, and each trait, each layer might
43:33
have maybe, maybe 30 different hats or 50 different eyes, you
43:37
know, all sorts of different, they ended up being close to 303
43:39
hundred different traits all hand drawn for the dust again.
43:43
So, so basically I, I would take all those traits, put them into
43:47
an algorithm that, that, and I'd go basically, I'd, I'd make sure
43:51
all the rarities are all are all sorted, you know, so the laser
43:54
eyes are really, for example, the laser eyes are really rare.
43:59
The, the, the, the, the ghost skin is very rare.
44:02
So make sure all the rarities line up and then push play and
44:04
then it spits out all the different variables.
44:06
It's it's it's super cool, but that's a generative.
44:08
So basically it's all the different images are all are all
44:11
super unique, but they all are tailored to that, to that
44:14
schematic of rarity. So then do you get to choose?
44:18
So you generate based on all these different layers, which
44:21
makes perfect sense. You did a great job explaining
44:24
that. So you you put it in the
44:26
algorithm, it spits out all these different NFTS.
44:30
Do you then choose which ones or do all of them automatically get
44:34
minted? I guess the word is.
44:36
Does that? Does that make sense?
44:38
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, all, all of it.
44:39
Well, that's what the community did.
44:40
Yeah. Like what?
44:41
I, I set it all up. I set it all up in the back
44:44
channel. So it was all ready to mint And,
44:46
and, and basically people are minting them without knowing
44:48
what they're getting. So they're going to, it's, it's
44:50
like buying a packet of Pokémon cards and ripping it open and
44:53
seeing what you get. You don't know, OK.
44:55
You could. Get a couple of Commons or you
44:57
could get an ultra rare, who knows?
44:59
So, but yeah, it was, it was, it was all minted out by the by the
45:02
community, which I was hyped on and, and here we are.
45:06
Here we are. Yep.
45:07
One more question. I know it's almost it's almost
45:09
January 2nd where you live, but if if people want to check them
45:15
out and people want to maybe purchase one, is it Magic Eden?
45:19
Is that where they go or is there another?
45:21
It is OK, so I'm going to go out there real quick.
45:24
Is that OK? Do you have a few more minutes
45:25
for me so we can? Go here.
45:26
I'm I'm here. It's all good.
45:28
I'm enjoying this. Let me let me go to Google.
45:33
Hold on here. I think I make sure I shared the
45:35
screen, which I did, and where is it?
45:38
Here we are all right, so I'm gonna can you see you right now?
45:41
You see your NFT on the screen, correct?
45:45
And now you should see Google. All right, and I'll go to Magic
45:49
Eden. There you go.
45:52
We go and I'll click on that. OK, so this is where people go.
45:57
I know this is where. So this this is like one of the
45:59
is this a Solana based marketplace for no if?
46:03
You if you like, if you if you see that the little, the little
46:06
box to the left that says all chains.
46:08
Uh huh. Yeah.
46:09
If you go across there to the, as you scroll to the right,
46:11
there's all the different chain icons.
46:13
So if you click on the Yep, Yep, click on Solana, OK, and then
46:17
you go and then go to the top where the search is and you just
46:20
type in Duster Gang, it'll come up.
46:23
Duster Gang, is that there? It is right there at the very
46:27
top, OK. Yes, Sir.
46:29
All right, if I click on that and then this is where people
46:33
OK, excellent, excellent. So if, if, if, if someone buys
46:38
in an NFT and I know you gifted me a couple of them which I'm
46:41
holding safely on my Ledger. Thank you Ledger for sponsoring
46:44
Ron's basement. And if I wanted to buy another
46:47
NFTI would fund my wallet with Moon pay by the other great
46:51
sponsor that we have. So, so if somebody these are the
46:58
ones that are for sale, but but if, if someone buys an NFT, it's
47:03
not automatically in this marketplace, right?
47:06
You have to actually list it there if you want to sell it, is
47:09
that right? Yeah.
47:10
Well, that's that's the thing. All the all the the NFTS that
47:14
are minted are actually read by the marketplaces.
47:17
So that so that so they're live in the marketplace.
47:20
So if you but but, but if you're but like all these listings here
47:23
have been, have been listed by people.
47:27
Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you have to,
47:29
you have to still physically list them.
47:31
But but that's the beauty of this of this ecosystem.
47:34
You know, like when you meant something, then then these
47:38
marketplace places instantly recognize that and they'll and
47:41
they will show it on this on this on this platform.
47:44
But yeah, yeah, it's pretty cool all.
47:47
Right, there's Jasper. I see Jasper can.
47:49
I there he is. And coincidentally and
47:53
coincidentally, upstairs, Susie is still in bed.
47:56
But Jasper is an early riser like me, and I hear him right
47:59
above me. He must know we're talking about
48:01
him because I hear him pulling, pulling ornaments off our
48:04
Christmas tree. He's one of his, one of his
48:08
favorite pastimes. All right, so that's Magic Eden.
48:13
Awesome. Hey, what did I forget to ask
48:16
you before we sign off? Is there anything that I forgot
48:19
to talk about? Anything you want to mention
48:20
before we did? Farewell.
48:23
Oh, mate, just quickly before before we sign off, thank you so
48:27
much for having me on. Oh, mate, I've been, I've been
48:29
wanting to come on your your lives since I forgot a year now.
48:33
Yeah. Is this our first time that I've
48:35
had you on a live stream? Yeah.
48:37
Yeah, it is. Oh my gosh.
48:39
I apologize to the. I apologize to the world.
48:43
What are you? What are you doing tomorrow
48:45
night? Just.
48:45
All right, let's do it again. We'll do it again, yeah.
48:48
No, I mean, hey man, like I said, now repeat it.
48:51
Now we have 450 people on here, which is for this time of the
48:55
day and in general is very good. So we that's a big deal, but
49:01
it's a big honor to have you on here.
49:03
And I said it earlier and I'll say it again.
49:05
Not only are you a key community member and a very generous
49:10
community member of UFD, but look, when I talk about you,
49:14
when anybody talks about you gimmicks, it's in a like super
49:18
complimentary, high quality way. Like you are a good person with
49:24
a good heart. And, and I think that, you know,
49:27
that's what's going to win in life and that's what's going to
49:30
win in crypto as well. And you know, you're a very
49:34
critical part, like everybody else out there who's joining us,
49:37
right of us kind of leading by example within the NFT space,
49:42
within the crypto space and how we can all work together and,
49:46
and, and, and really get crypto to where it can be.
49:49
I mean, OK, I'm not gonna wrap up.
49:51
I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant. Like I'm not a crypto guru, but
49:56
I've been around for a year and I've learned a lot.
49:58
And one of the things I learned that really excited me about
50:01
crypto were these original ethos of crypto.
50:05
And when I look at a person like you, when I look at the people
50:08
that are in our community, I know that we're like aligned
50:11
really well with what the original intent was behind
50:15
crypto. Unfortunately, between Bitcoin
50:19
being created and where we are today, there was some riff raff
50:22
that occurred, right? Let's be real, extraction,
50:25
whatever. And I just know, you know, look
50:28
at what Bitcoin did. And I, and I, and I mean, when I
50:31
say I, I, I look at our project as baby Bitcoin and, and, and I
50:36
know that we are adhering to those original ethos.
50:40
It wasn't a strategy I had, right?
50:41
I, this was, everybody knows the lore behind UFD.
50:45
This was an experiment, whatever, but but, but I'm I'm
50:49
what makes me excited is that that just by like doing the
50:53
right thing and I'm not perfect. I will never claim perfection,
50:57
but by treating other people the way I would want to be treated
51:01
fairly, honestly, that by default, we did it here to these
51:05
original ethos. And it's great People like you
51:08
and and and and and the people that are out there watching
51:11
right now that we can make a difference and it's super
51:13
exciting. OK, and I want to get your last
51:17
thing. I want to get your opinion on is
51:18
this. One of the things I get super
51:20
excited about is this gift that we have.
51:23
And I think it's easy when we get kind of drug into what's
51:26
going on day-to-day and how much work this can be and how, you
51:30
know, there's ups and downs and but that we really are in a very
51:33
privileged position right now when you look at just the
51:38
technology. OK, look, I am in a basement in
51:41
Saint Louis. You are in Australia.
51:43
You're 14 hours ahead of me, which of course means you're 14
51:46
hours smarter as well. But we're we are connecting like
51:51
you. I think you said you're 45.
51:53
I mean, I'm 55. You know, dude, 25 years ago,
51:58
people, if somebody told us that we'd be doing this and we have
52:00
500 people all around the world joining us.
52:04
Like, that's a gift. Like, to me, that's like the
52:06
equivalent of when the printing press was invented.
52:09
It allowed people to share information and more effectively
52:13
and it changed the world. And and we're doing that on top
52:16
of that, we have Web 3, right? And everything we talked about
52:19
with web three, these relationships.
52:21
And on top of that, even better there.
52:24
But wait, there's more gimmicks. And that is that we've got the
52:27
the gift of crypto in the blockchain, like all three of
52:30
those. It's pretty exciting.
52:32
What do you think? Yeah.
52:33
Bro bro I get excited about it too.
52:35
When I think about it, it's it's massive.
52:37
Like like I think about often young a young gimmicks.
52:42
You know, his his buddy 1920. He knows he knows he can draw a
52:46
good be. You know, it's a big wild world
52:48
out there. He's got no idea how to show his
52:51
comics to anyone or do this and that.
52:53
Imagine him imagine him now like he's able to show his comics and
52:56
what he wanted to do everywhere. You know, like it's it's crazy.
52:59
Like I've got I've got one of my good friends.
53:03
She's an amazing tattooist and, and, and she's actually had arm
53:07
surgery on her arm and she and she's in a bad way and she's
53:10
like, look, she's like gimmicks. I can't tattoo anymore.
53:13
She's an amazing artist and she's like, I want to start
53:16
drawing again, but I don't know what to do.
53:17
Like, like she's broken And I'm like, you need to get into Web
53:21
3, not to make money. This is this is the thing.
53:25
It's not only to make money. This space.
53:27
She's got a massive big family worldwide family at her reach
53:31
and she can show people her art and there's going to be
53:34
collectors that want her art and it's going to build up her her
53:37
herself confidence so, so much because because that's what she
53:40
needs. And this is and and this is the
53:43
secret power of the space that people forget about is, is that
53:46
she's in the spot. She's she's in a a you know,
53:49
she's, she's, she's not good. But I'm like, look, when you get
53:52
better, I'm going to show you this community UFD and this is
53:55
going to be your platform to, to this branch out and just, and
53:58
just show the world what you can do on a totally different level,
54:01
on a totally different playing playing field, connectivity all
54:05
around the world. And this will be able to, to get
54:07
to get that light back in your eyes.
54:09
Like, like, I can't wait to do that for her.
54:11
You know, that's just, that's just one example of what, of
54:13
what is achievable in this, in this ecosystem and what, you
54:16
know, the likes of UFD and, and, and other and other communities
54:20
which have, which have a similar ethos can do.
54:22
Like, you know, so much, so much emphasis is made.
54:25
You know, I'm making money, you know, quick flips and stuff,
54:27
which is fine. You know, that, that, that, that
54:30
brings volume, that brings, you know, eyes on stuff.
54:32
But, but those, those things, man, where it's where, it's
54:34
where it's instant connectivity between humans across the world
54:37
and, and just giving and sharing.
54:39
That's, that's the, that's the stuff that, that that excites
54:43
me, man. That's the stuff that gets me.
54:46
This right now, what we're doing, it's the magic.
54:48
I mean, it really is magic. I loved what you said.
54:53
You can't even put it into words.
54:55
The 19 year old gimmicks. Who's a comic artist, drawing,
54:58
whatever, right? 25 years ago, 26 years ago, the,
55:04
the, the path at that point 26 years ago, for you to get that,
55:08
to share that with the world was almost impossible, right?
55:12
The odds of you is almost impossible.
55:15
I have the exact same thought all the time.
55:18
For some reason. I go back, I went to DePaul
55:20
University in Chicago and I'm a senior in college and I and I
55:25
say the same story essentially. I say, and I remember I was
55:28
getting ready to graduate and one of my, I have a degree in
55:30
accounting, believe it or not. If you, if you told me back
55:34
then, like at that point of my life, I said, I've said this
55:36
many times at that point in my life, if I had an idea or I
55:40
wanted to share things, a message with the world or
55:43
develop a platform, I couldn't do it right.
55:46
I mean, I, I couldn't if I wanted to get a video out to the
55:50
world. And I say this more in terms of
55:52
YouTube, but but it's true. Like if if I wanted to, to make
55:55
a video and share it with the world, it would have cost
55:59
probably $100,000 in 1992 to make that video and then to get
56:04
it distributed and available throughout the world.
56:07
It it, it's impossible. Whereas now literally people can
56:11
go down in their basement, turn on their cell phone, record a
56:15
video and they and you have this platform to share it with the
56:18
world. And that does all feed into kind
56:21
of where we are right now with Web 3 and this opportunity, it
56:24
really it's an incredible opportunity.
56:27
Yeah, it is, yeah, 100% man. It's, it's, it's it, it connects
56:32
people more and more and, you know, it helps, it helps people
56:35
too. You know, that, that, that, you
56:36
know, that are that are alone or, or going through tough
56:38
times. If, if they, if they have
56:40
communities that they that they can, you know, turn on to and,
56:42
and kind of lean on. That's what we need more of,
56:45
man. Yeah, and it and it's been
56:47
proven there's studies that people feel more, there's more
56:51
people that are suffering from depression, whatever and, and,
56:56
and and loneliness. And there's nothing really as
56:59
bad as the feeling of loneliness.
57:01
Like even though from a lifestyle perspective, generally
57:05
speaking, people in the world are living better than any other
57:08
time in history. People are also, I think because
57:12
in times past, community was much more important or much more
57:17
it was more ingrained in our life, right, because people
57:21
lived in small towns, whatever throughout all the history where
57:24
is now people are able to because of you know, it's a
57:28
paradox and it's not a good one or an irony, whatever paradox
57:31
irony it, but that that because people are living much nicer
57:35
lifestyles, we're also living more isolated lifestyles and
57:39
people want that connection. And again, it goes back to what
57:43
we talked about earlier with UFD.
57:44
Here we are right. Here's a place where you can
57:47
connect on a very good level. So wow.
57:50
Yeah, no, that's awesome, man. And and yeah, I've said it
57:55
before, but I touch on it again, like like, like I, I just love
57:58
the idea that that, and this is what I've thought about it from
58:01
the start. And this is what I fell in love
58:03
with it when I was when I, when I first sort of heard your story
58:07
is, is that is that you wanted it to just be, you know, you
58:12
know, like a test to see what happens, blah, blah.
58:14
But then the community came into you and then it grew, it grew,
58:16
it grew, it grew from the inside out.
58:19
But but it was everyone coming in.
58:22
It was everyone coming in. And that's what I love the best
58:24
of the most about it is that it doesn't matter like, like, like
58:28
I see this. I can't often get up in spaces
58:30
and talk, but I see this all the time with not only our
58:33
community, but different communities.
58:34
People are. So, you know, I, I can't be a
58:37
part of this community because I don't have the same colours.
58:39
I don't have the same PFP. It doesn't matter.
58:42
It doesn't matter like, like, like get involved like, like,
58:46
like it's, it's anyone, anyone can be a part of it.
58:49
It doesn't matter where you're from, what community you're
58:51
from. That's what I love about it,
58:52
mate. And that's why I get excited
58:53
too, because you know, the likes of going to a graffiti wall and
58:56
talking to mates like I, I've already got a few of them that
58:59
have, you know, they used to be butter cups and they're dusters.
59:01
Now I just send them a few beans and they're in, you know what I
59:04
mean? Like that's that, that, that's
59:06
what we need more of. And this is, and this is the
59:08
catalyst for it because it's such, it's, it's such a, it's
59:11
such a strange old, such a strange old paradigm that we're
59:15
in. Mate.
59:15
You you just started this Unicorn fart dust thing with
59:17
Billy. Yeah.
59:18
And now we're here doing this and I'm bloody talking to
59:21
graffiti graffiti instead of all about about Unicorn fat dust.
59:24
You know what I mean? It's.
59:26
And you and I are and you and I are doing this right. 25 years
59:31
ago without this technology, unfortunately we would we would
59:35
have never met. OK, one more thing because man,
59:38
when you talk it, it a big white bulb went off on my head about
59:43
community and and you know, I, I haven't told this story
59:47
recently, but on day 2 are the next morning after Unicorn
59:51
fought and I created the coin, it took off the market cap went
59:54
I think on the second day, something like $200 million.
59:57
I remember sitting right up right up there.
1:00:00
We have a screened in porch and you know, I think I'd slept
1:00:03
about 1/2 hour that night, but I remember I opened my phantom
1:00:06
wallet and I looked at it and it had I forget now 1.4 million
1:00:11
U.S. dollar, a lot of money, OK, huge amount of money and I'm
1:00:14
looking at that. I'm like, is that real?
1:00:16
And. Holy, you know, whatever and I'm
1:00:19
thinking about what is happening here, right?
1:00:21
And, and I felt this immediate and I had no idea at that point
1:00:26
that crypto Twitter existed, but I knew, I knew that like what?
1:00:30
All that money and all those beans, right?
1:00:33
And all the other people, cuz I own less than 1% of the coins.
1:00:36
I'm like, there's a lot of people out there that have
1:00:39
bought this coin that like something's, you know, like I, I
1:00:43
felt this like magical feeling like the money didn't matter.
1:00:48
OK. And that's life changing money
1:00:51
for me and my family. But like the money matters.
1:00:54
But it didn't matter nearly as much as what I felt like this
1:00:58
community of people out there that I knew like, like each one
1:01:02
of those beans besides the one I own are owned by people.
1:01:06
And that was the first time that I think I kind of felt it.
1:01:09
And then what really changed for me was when I discovered that
1:01:12
there was this thing called crypto Twitter because I had no
1:01:15
idea. And that was like on on
1:01:16
Christmas Eve night, we were our Christmas night, we were driving
1:01:19
home from Susie's mom's house and Susie was just laughing
1:01:24
hysterically and she had a good amount of wine, but none the
1:01:27
less she was in the car laughing.
1:01:28
I'm like, what's so funny? She's like, you're not going to
1:01:30
believe what these people are, are, are saying about you on
1:01:34
Twitter and and you know, and I'm like, what do you mean?
1:01:36
She goes look, because I think Royal, there's a guy named Royal
1:01:40
who's. Royal Royal is a legend.
1:01:42
He's a legend. Yeah, and he, he made this AI
1:01:44
video of me stripping down to my tighty whitey's and jumping over
1:01:48
the ping pong table behind me. And I was like, and then I was
1:01:51
like, wow. And then I and then I, and then
1:01:54
I began the journey of like realizing like these are real
1:01:58
people all over the world, right?
1:02:00
That are, that are real. And that's the magic.
1:02:02
So hey, thanks, man. Hey, guess what?
1:02:05
Congratulations. It's now January 2nd.
1:02:07
Unless I have it wrong in Australia.
1:02:09
Yeah, it. Is it is Might we might have.
1:02:12
We might have. Hey, thank you again everybody.
1:02:16
I'm going to show your your your Twitter profile one more time.
1:02:20
This is gimmicks great guy, great NFT artist.
1:02:23
He's the man behind the Duster Gang NFT project.
1:02:28
And all right, I'm still on Magic Eden there.
1:02:31
Let me get this one up. Here we go bump.
1:02:36
Yep, here we go. Gimmicks up shoot.
1:02:39
Just hold on. Gimmicks I'm clicking on.
1:02:42
I'm clicking on all the wrong stuff.
1:02:44
You're right bro. Yeah, here we go.
1:02:47
There's his Twitter profile. Gimmicks at gimmicks Born GIMIKS
1:02:55
and there's a carrot behind it as well follow him on on X and
1:03:00
hey thanks buddy. I really appreciate you OK as a
1:03:04
person, as a generous guy and we're going to have you back on
1:03:09
again. We got 600 people joining us
1:03:11
live and it's like super early here in the US that's crazy, but
1:03:16
people from all over the go ahead.
1:03:17
Oh I. Was going to say make sure
1:03:19
before, before I forget if people go to my Twitter, there's
1:03:23
a going back, back onto community cause community's
1:03:25
king. There's a, a free mint.
1:03:28
If you, if you go to my profile, you'll see my, my pin post.
1:03:32
There's a free mint that's called posse up.
1:03:35
That's just, that's just a free mint for community.
1:03:38
Just to just to just to reiterate that that this
1:03:41
wouldn't be possible, you know, unless there was good people in
1:03:45
the space coming together and, and doing this kind of stuff
1:03:48
that we're doing now. So that's just a visual
1:03:50
representation of it. Just shouting at other
1:03:52
communities that are rad. It's going to be the first of
1:03:55
many, many more free minutes to come.
1:03:57
But make sure people that are listening now, make sure you get
1:04:00
that now make sure you get it. Get it?
1:04:02
OK, well, hold on. I'm going.
1:04:03
To four more days. I'm I'm pulling up your your ex.
1:04:07
You said it's on your ex profile, is that right?
1:04:09
Yep, Yep. If you just Scroll down, it's
1:04:11
the first the first post. This one right here.
1:04:14
Yeah, that one there, if you go show more, Yeah, yeah, it'll,
1:04:16
it'll go to the link, but that's the that's the post.
1:04:18
Gotcha. OK, so this is the post on and
1:04:21
that's a free mint. That is awesome.
1:04:23
All right, man. Hey, look, I didn't know we were
1:04:25
gonna have a giveaway. Yeah, yeah, no, that's, that's
1:04:29
that's something that I'll be wanting to do for a minute.
1:04:31
And, and it just happened that that coincided with a, a family
1:04:35
space we did with the PFP and the, and the long neck legends
1:04:39
community. And, and that just shouts out
1:04:41
all other communities that I've, that I've been a part of too,
1:04:43
like buddy, you know, everyone, buddy, genuine dead abdominal
1:04:48
dogs, buddy omen, everyone planet Kaiju.
1:04:52
Like there's some, there's, there's so many good people out
1:04:54
there doing, doing good things out there.
1:04:57
It's like, it's awesome. And and so that's just a, a free
1:05:00
gift for everyone, you know, sharing the love, sharing,
1:05:03
sharing the craft, sharing the art.
1:05:05
Yeah, yeah, a lot of great communities, a lot of great
1:05:07
people and I think a lot of great things to come.
1:05:10
All right, brother, thank you very much.
1:05:13
Thank you to our viewers who joined us.
1:05:15
We got 650 people on here. I think we set a record for a
1:05:18
early morning US crypto oriented live stream gimmicks.
1:05:24
Awesome. Oh bro, let's do.
1:05:26
It and let's do it again before January 1st of 2027, which seems
1:05:32
bizarre to say, but. It's always just got to set up.
1:05:35
Yeah. Oh, just got to set up, bro.
1:05:37
Alright, let's do it again soon. Sounds good, and thanks to our
1:05:40
viewers. Horns up dusters.
1:05:42
Let's keep up the great work and we'll see you soon.
1:05:46
Peace, man.
