- 0:30Stream You're looking at our friend Gimmicks.
- 0:33Welcome to the 2026 Unicorn Fart Dust.
- 0:36First, first day of 2026, Happy New Year.
- 0:40It's 7:00 where I am in Saint Louis and we're joined right now
- 0:45by our friend Gimmicks all the way from Australia where if I
- 0:48have this correct, it's 11:00 PM.
- 0:50So we are worldwide. We are wishing the world a Happy
- 0:53New Year. Mr. Gimmicks, how you doing?
- 0:56Welcome to Ron's basement. Welcome to the UFD Duster Club.
- 1:00Yo, what's happening? Oh man, it's a pleasure to talk
- 1:03to you again, Ron. It's been a minute.
- 1:04And yeah, good day. Good day to everyone.
- 1:07Yeah, it's 11:00 PM. Sorry, 11:00 PM here in
- 1:10Brisbane, Australia, 1st of January 2026.
- 1:14And what a way to spend it to start off the year.
- 1:17Chat, chatting to you, mate. And the rest of the UFD heard
- 1:20out there worldwide, baby. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:23Horns up, guys. And we probably, we probably
- 1:25have some people joining us on the West Coast where it's 5:00
- 1:28AM who've been up all night. So welcome to everybody, whether
- 1:32you slept or not. It's 2026.
- 1:34We're going to talk about 2026. We're also going to talk about
- 1:39gimmicks, awesome NFT project, the Duster gang.
- 1:42What's going on with that? Yeah, there you go, right there.
- 1:47And gimmicks has been a key community member in UFD it feels
- 1:51like since what January, February, March time frame of
- 1:552025 is that is that accurate? Yeah, Yeah, it was, man.
- 1:59It was, yeah. A couple of days after you
- 2:02launched UFDIIII found you in the project.
- 2:07And then from then on I was hooked, mate.
- 2:09I just with your story and, and, and just with the community, I
- 2:13wasn't able to get up on spaces because there was all spaces
- 2:16happening all the time. It was, it was awesome.
- 2:18But during my work schedule, I wasn't able to get up and chat
- 2:21to everyone. But mate, I was there from, you
- 2:23know, the second day in just listening and seeing what was
- 2:25going on. And as soon as I heard your
- 2:28story, mate, and kind of dove into what you're, where you're
- 2:31from and what you're doing, you know, family man as well.
- 2:34And you know, and I was like, this is awesome.
- 2:37This is something that I'm into and, and just when you when I
- 2:40kind of really realized the the, the whole ethos behind it and,
- 2:46and just how you're just a genuine, genuine dude, mate.
- 2:48When you get when you get to know you, you know, you got a a
- 2:50big heart, heart of gold and, and and you're doing this for
- 2:53the right reasons. So mate, I just, I was like,
- 2:55yeah, I mean, I mean, when I first saw this, I was like, OK,
- 2:58maybe I can flip it and make some bucks.
- 3:00But when I learned about it and what what is it about?
- 3:02I was like, no. You, you know, I mean you know,
- 3:06and I'll repeat this, you are what I consider to be one of our
- 3:09really active key community members.
- 3:11You've been very generous. You're a very talented artist,
- 3:15but you're also a great guy, right?
- 3:16And you're somebody who I think emulates and is a great example
- 3:22of what like all of our core community members exhibit,
- 3:25right? High quality, responsible,
- 3:29You're great to work with, you're awesome.
- 3:31So I want to ask you a question because I think it's important
- 3:35for us as a project to think about this if we want to want to
- 3:39attract more people like you. What was it?
- 3:42I mean, you kind of touched on it, but but what was it about
- 3:45UFD? Because I mean, what was your
- 3:47journey that kind of led up to when you've discovered UFD?
- 3:51And I guess I'm, when I say your journey, I mean within crypto,
- 3:53within the NFT world. And then I guess what was it
- 3:57about UFD that maybe it was a little different that attracted
- 4:01you? Does that make sense?
- 4:02Yeah, not 100% bro. It it was man, it was just
- 4:05because it was so genuine, like like, like like when you, when
- 4:09you listen to your spaces, sorry, sorry, your live streams
- 4:13and listen to your chat and just listen to your story.
- 4:15You just resonate with it because it's actually real.
- 4:18Like when you like when you, you know, turn down all the other
- 4:21noise because there's so much noise and BS in the space, which
- 4:23is unfortunate, but it is what it is.
- 4:27I've, I've mate, mate, I've been, I've, I've been here for
- 4:29like I've been here since 2022, I think it was.
- 4:32And, and I've been on in in all sorts of different projects,
- 4:35been rugged so many times. When, when, when, when you find
- 4:40something as special as UFD and without some people jump in and
- 4:44don't even realize what it is, but it, it is something truly
- 4:46special. I mean, I kind of saw it.
- 4:48I was like, this is what the space needs.
- 4:50It's finally something that's that's actually real and has A
- 4:53and has a good, a good ideology and, and, and feel behind it,
- 4:59You know, like just just integrity, prosperity, you know,
- 5:03you know, looking after one each other and just, and just
- 5:05because, mate, the fact that you turn up every day and you just,
- 5:09and you, you know, like we don't have to be here in the space,
- 5:11but you every day you're turning out to be in this web free space
- 5:14because you see the potential in it and you want to, and you and
- 5:16you want to be with other good people that want the same stuff.
- 5:19So mate, I, I, I saw that and resonated with that straight
- 5:22away because of, you know, I've been around a little bit of,
- 5:25I've seen, I've seen and listened to a lot of people talk
- 5:28the talk, you know, wear the mask and as soon as the mask
- 5:31comes off, they, they do, they do something different, you
- 5:34know, dump on people or they just, they just want to come
- 5:37into the space and extract. Extract.
- 5:40Whereas bro, you like, like you've come into the space
- 5:43straight away and you just want to give and, and, and that's
- 5:46what resonated with me too. Like, so that's why, that's why
- 5:48I did dust the gang man. And so it was like, no, I, I, I
- 5:51have to give back. I want, I want to throw my hat
- 5:53in the ring, what my creative hat and, and, and do what I can
- 5:57for the movement too, because it's, it's, it's big, it's
- 5:59special and, and it needs and it needs to keep going.
- 6:02And, and for as long as we keep it going, people are going to
- 6:05see it more and more people are going to resonate it with with
- 6:07it too, man. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:09And I and, and, and before I forget, I do want to mention to
- 6:11our audience that. Yes, Gimmicks did launch the
- 6:14Duster Gang and was, but I would say extremely generous with
- 6:19Susie and I in terms of support. It was early on January,
- 6:22February and quite frankly, there wasn't much money at all
- 6:24coming into our household. And you were extremely generous
- 6:28with what you did for us. And I know the community as
- 6:32well, right? I mean, it me enabling me to be
- 6:35able to stay here helped, I guess the project, but you've
- 6:38also been very generous with the community, with giveaways, with
- 6:42helping with different projects and, and that's a huge, huge,
- 6:46huge deal. You know, I, I guess I'm going
- 6:48to get your opinion on this. When I look at 2025 and what,
- 6:53you know, it was a big year of learning for me because I knew
- 6:56nothing about crypto. And essentially I started this
- 6:59project at the very beginning of 2025.
- 7:02And when I look back at the not, not, not, let's not talk about
- 7:06UFD specific, but let's maybe broaden it a little bit to the
- 7:10meme coin sector. And you said this earlier,
- 7:13there's a lot of BS in this sector.
- 7:15So when I look at 2025, I guess what I learned was it felt like
- 7:20there's there's, there's, there's a lot of BSA, lot of
- 7:22shady, you know, monkey business, whatever you want to
- 7:25call it, that goes on in the meme coin sector.
- 7:28There's a lot more coins, OK, because all these launch pads
- 7:32launched millions and millions of coins.
- 7:34And hey, I'm guilty as charged. UFD was launched on a launchpad,
- 7:38OK? I think we were different and
- 7:40we'll focus on that a little bit later as well.
- 7:43And I think that some people, you know, crypto's gone through
- 7:48a hard, little rough patch, I guess you could say, or a cold
- 7:51streak or whatever. So you got more BS, you got more
- 7:55coins. And, and the reality is, I think
- 7:58there's less money in the pool, right?
- 8:00There's less liquidity available in the meme coin sector in
- 8:03general. And it created an environment
- 8:06where we were in our startup phase essentially, but we were
- 8:10swimming against the current. And I think that it's important
- 8:14for us to remember that really what we accomplished during
- 8:192025, although when you look at the price, it doesn't feel that
- 8:22way all the time. But what we did accomplish given
- 8:27kind of the macro circumstances or the the weather pattern, what
- 8:31however you want to say it that we were trying to sail our ship
- 8:34in was kind of working against us.
- 8:37And in that, in that if we stick it out and we continue to do
- 8:40what we're doing and build and provide a great example and I
- 8:44want to hit I want to get back to that as well that that some
- 8:46good things could come for UFD. Yeah, man, it 100% I couldn't
- 8:51agree more. When you without, without even
- 8:54realizing that you, you put that 100 bucks in and made and made
- 8:57UFD and then it, it, you know, it launched into the market and,
- 9:01and the market over the last year has been so volatile.
- 9:04It's been crazy, man. Like like like you look at you
- 9:07look at it, I'm like, I delve a little bit into like into the
- 9:10crypto a little bit. My wife told like taught me a
- 9:13little bit about it, but I'm more of the art side of it at
- 9:15the NFT side. So, so, so I like, I like have
- 9:19known that a little bit now. And and that's where I've kind
- 9:21of like look at it from like a perspective of what what's
- 9:24happening in the market. You see what's been happening
- 9:26with the NFT market over the last year, some of the Big Blue
- 9:31chips, they've gone down so much like it's crazy, like, like
- 9:34it's, it's gone down a lot. And, and, and, and that echoes
- 9:38with what's happening in the greater, in the greater spectrum
- 9:40of things is that people of people are scared and they're
- 9:43scared because of, I mean, because of what's happened, like
- 9:46pump run jump jumped off and there's so much more coins that
- 9:50have been put out there. So people are like jumping in
- 9:52and trying to put their money in and trying and trying to get
- 9:54this, you know, trying to get their money back and trying to
- 9:56make wins. But because there's so much more
- 9:58of it happening, what was supposed to happen over the next
- 10:01two years with the, with the, with the, with the altcoin push
- 10:04has been condensed into six months.
- 10:06And it's been so, so crazy that it's just, it's just made
- 10:10everyone go, whoa, what's going on?
- 10:12So the tides going back out, the tides go back out and, and, and
- 10:15it, and it will be crucial now. And this is what's happening
- 10:18with UFD and other and other strong communities is that now
- 10:21is the most, most important time where you, where you, where
- 10:23you'll see the strong communities still stick, still
- 10:26stick together, still show up every day, still be, be like
- 10:30creating something, even if it's just something little, but still
- 10:32doing stuff. These are the communities that
- 10:34will pop off again when, when the tide comes back in, because
- 10:37it will come back in. But at the moment, because
- 10:39there's so much fear and uncertainty, at the moment,
- 10:42there's nothing. There's nothing here, man.
- 10:44There's only a few people here that are still that are still
- 10:46chattering and still kind of playing the game.
- 10:47But it will it will change. But you and you know what?
- 10:51And it's kind of exciting. And yeah, look, I'm not going to
- 10:54claim to be great friends with Luka Nets, but I talked to him
- 10:59months back and he pointed it out.
- 11:00It's like the the hard times are really the best times because
- 11:05that's when real communities are built.
- 11:07And if you think about what you just said, gimmicks, and it kind
- 11:09of makes sense. Like the way I look at it is
- 11:11there's this pool of people within the meme coin sector.
- 11:15A lot of them are gamblers, right?
- 11:17And the gamblers, the the ones that just want to make a quick
- 11:20buck and go are, are kind of, you know, are kind of maybe
- 11:24leaving the sector because they're running out of money
- 11:27basically. But the projects that last like
- 11:30us, we're attracting the quality people, right, that are that are
- 11:34going to and we don't really want the gamblers.
- 11:36I mean, you know, it's fun when the pump, when the when the
- 11:38price of the coin gets a big giant green candle and all
- 11:42that's wonderful, right? But really for long term
- 11:44sustainability, we want quality people.
- 11:47And in this environment, environment is, is is the is the
- 11:51is the dust settles in the meme coin sector.
- 11:54The, the quality people that are left are going to be looking for
- 11:58quality projects. And then like you said, right,
- 12:01the ones that stick out, stick around and actually do things
- 12:05and show like, like we can build, build, build, build our,
- 12:09our, our herd or our group or, you know, our Duster corral full
- 12:15of really good quality people who aren't in this for like
- 12:18holding the coin for 30 minutes or, or, or four days or
- 12:22whatever. But they really want to be here
- 12:24on a long term basis. Yeah, not 100%.
- 12:26It's, it's the people here that are kind of are sticking it out,
- 12:31but they're sticking it out really because they want to be
- 12:33here. Like as I said before, like like
- 12:35Web 3, it's a, it's a bit of a playground at the moment.
- 12:38It's, it's very new. There's money to be made here
- 12:40obviously across crypto and NFTS and everything else.
- 12:43But, but it's, it's a very new playground in regards to a lot
- 12:46of other ecosystems. So people are in here seeing
- 12:50what's going on. We don't have to be here, but we
- 12:52choose to be here because we see that, we, we see the potential
- 12:55in it. And, and like, like, like the
- 12:56instant connectivity with people, like what we're doing
- 12:58here, Ron, like, like, you know, we chat on the regular, you
- 13:02know, and we're able to, you know, just chop it up here, you
- 13:05know, all across the world. And we're, and we're tied
- 13:07together through a silly little Unicorn called Dusty.
- 13:10Like like, it's, it's wild, mate.
- 13:12It's funny. It's it's, it's video game
- 13:14stuff. It's it's wild, but it happens.
- 13:17It's it's real. I mean, like, you know, when I
- 13:19first got into crypto a year ago, people would say Web 3 and
- 13:22I'm like, I don't know what Web three, It didn't make sense to
- 13:24me. Like what is and I would ask
- 13:26people and you get different responses.
- 13:29But I think what I've settled on with Web 3 is it's this platform
- 13:33where as opposed to Web 2, right?
- 13:36Because I'm big into YouTube. I understand YouTube and how it
- 13:39works and I've made and I've built community and I've made
- 13:42relationships on on YouTube, no doubt.
- 13:45But Web 3 enables us to develop this, which is a much deeper
- 13:50connection with people. And, and if you think about, if
- 13:53you go back to what we talked about with what's going on right
- 13:56now with UFD and then kind of the meme coin sector at whole,
- 13:59we align with that perfectly. Everybody in crypto says, oh,
- 14:02web three, Web 3, it's like we are, I mean, Unicorn fart test,
- 14:06I think is a really great, like pure, almost pure example of
- 14:10what web three can do 'cause I feel like you're a friend of
- 14:14mine. I feel like if I showed up in
- 14:16Brisbane and said, Hey, gimmicks, I'm here that you'd be
- 14:19like, come on over, brother. You know, and, and, and, and,
- 14:22and we've all in our community, everybody watching right now has
- 14:26developed really like real relationships with people, real
- 14:30relationships, right? And, and that's what web three
- 14:33suppose like we are what, what meme coins.
- 14:36I'm getting excited here. Sorry, gimmicks, but we are with
- 14:39me. Let's say sorry about that mate.
- 14:40That's good. We, we are, we are what meme
- 14:43coins and what and what web 3 is really supposed to be, right?
- 14:48You talked about the ethos right and of crypto.
- 14:50And I think that we're also overall aligned with what the
- 14:54founding fathers of crypto wanted crypto to be, right,
- 14:57community driven, decentralized. We weren't some project that
- 15:01like me and you were on a on a call saying, Hey, gimmicks,
- 15:04let's let's both invest, you know, $50,000 and start a coin
- 15:09and I'll own 40%, you own 40% and we'll sell 20% and then
- 15:14we'll dump it on everybody. No, like we are like from day
- 15:18one, right? Like basically like perfectly
- 15:21aligned with crypto. Sorry, I got a little little
- 15:24passionate there. That's good.
- 15:26No, I love it mate, that's good. No, but that's that's exactly
- 15:29what it is. And one of one of the awesome
- 15:32things that I love about it coming from coming from the NFT
- 15:35side of it is, is that UFDAUFD without even realizing it is
- 15:40like a home for all sorts of different NFD communities, also
- 15:43sorts of different factors and, and, and factions in this big
- 15:47ecosystem like you. Like you don't have to fly 1
- 15:50banner and go no no no this is all I do.
- 15:52Right. Everyone's welcome in UFD and
- 15:55everyone can go off and everyone can weigh different PFPS and
- 15:57everyone can do their own sort of stuff.
- 15:59But UFUFD and what it and what it, what it actually stands for.
- 16:03If you're cool, then you're cool.
- 16:04Then you can come and join like it's, it's good.
- 16:06Like all we want is just good attracts good prosperity people,
- 16:11you know, integrity, people looking out for each other and
- 16:13that's it. And then and you know, the Sky's
- 16:14the limit. And that's, that's what I love
- 16:17about it, mate, is that is that is that there's no boundaries.
- 16:19Anyone can jump in. Yeah, no.
- 16:21And you're and you're right. And I say this all the time,
- 16:23like in UFD, everybody's and it's, that's also super
- 16:27exciting. I mean, you're a great example
- 16:29of what I'm about to say. Like all throughout the world,
- 16:32excuse me if you have access, excuse me to a, to a cell phone
- 16:38or you have access to a computer.
- 16:40Everybody in the world has access to UFD.
- 16:43And we all set aside like what might be like differences that
- 16:48we might have, whether it be religious, political, whatever,
- 16:52right? If I'm a heart and you know, and
- 16:54I'm not a political guy, but if I'm a, I'm sure we have some
- 16:57very hardcore conservatives and some very liberal people, but
- 17:01they set that aside, right? If they want to talk about that,
- 17:04there's other places. Like you said, this is, this is
- 17:07really a community of good attracts good and, and also like
- 17:11equal opportunity equality and, and something that, that, that I
- 17:17because I think at the end of the day, no matter what our
- 17:19individual beliefs might be on a number of matters, most people
- 17:23share a lot more in common than they have differences.
- 17:26And when they kind of set certain things aside and come
- 17:29together in a group, there's a certain magic that happens.
- 17:33And I think that's been kind of one of the driving forces of
- 17:36this project from the very beginning.
- 17:38Yeah, no, I agree. I agree.
- 17:40It's, it's, and it's one of those things that, that, that
- 17:42will as as, as, as time goes on too, because you know, the likes
- 17:47of yourself and everyone else in the community that are that,
- 17:49that are just showing up every day and just, and just putting
- 17:51in the work, no matter what what it's what it is, green or red.
- 17:55This will start to become solidified even more as we go
- 17:59because when, when the, when the tide turns and, and it will, it
- 18:02always, it always does. It's like it's, it's cyclical.
- 18:04It, it always has been. It always will be when it comes
- 18:07back, there's going to be hype again and it's going to pop off,
- 18:10But people are going to turn to to the likes of UFD because,
- 18:13because, because what we're doing now is going to be boosted
- 18:16even stronger because it's because it's going to be more
- 18:19eyes on us. Like I was thinking the other
- 18:21day I was, I was painting, painting, painting that like
- 18:24that, that latest graffiti mural I did with some friends for for
- 18:28a birthday. And, and I was just talking to
- 18:31people at the wall and, and I was just thinking how, how, how
- 18:36is the market going to get these kind of people that, that, that
- 18:39are just normally, is that not about crypto?
- 18:42And then how these people are going to come into web 3 and
- 18:46want to be a part of it. And, and initially it's either
- 18:49going to come, I think personally from, from, from,
- 18:52from the visual stories that we, that we portray the
- 18:56relationships that we have with people that people hear about
- 18:58and they're like, this is amazing.
- 19:00And then of course, the, the, the normal mainstream media that
- 19:05catches onto it when we get, when we get all three of those
- 19:08things popping off, like that's when I think that it will, that
- 19:11it will turn and, and, and how long this takes, I'm not sure,
- 19:15man, I'm not sure. But, but it will like, I'm
- 19:18certain it will happen because, because, because the space needs
- 19:22something like UFD. It's, it's been, it's been a
- 19:25long time coming, man. Like, like I've seen projects
- 19:27come and go, people come in pretending there's something and
- 19:31then they bounce and they, and they just just, and they just
- 19:34lying just just to, just to flip a coin.
- 19:36But this is, this is, this is, this is different than that man.
- 19:41I, I, it needs, it needs to happen.
- 19:43It needs to be in the space. And and I and I think, and I
- 19:45think we will, we will persevere and go forward, I think.
- 19:48Yeah, yeah. Well, and I wrote two things
- 19:49down as you were talking. I think people want something
- 19:53safe and reliable, OK, because yes, we're a meme coin, but
- 19:57people are putting money into meme coins at the end of the
- 20:01day. And they want to have a project
- 20:03that they feel they can rely on in a place where they feel safe,
- 20:07where they're not going to get rugged, where they're not, where
- 20:09they're not gambling on something.
- 20:11And those are the people that we want, right?
- 20:14Those are the those are the people that are going to buy the
- 20:16token and hold the token, right? People that that that put a high
- 20:20level of priority on things like.
- 20:22Safety and reliability and community and, and quality,
- 20:26right? And that's, I mean, that's the
- 20:28other thing. And I promise I won't go on my
- 20:29rank because I do it almost every day.
- 20:31But you're and you're a great example.
- 20:33OK, you're a great example. And I use you as an example
- 20:37often when I'm talking about this.
- 20:38But there's a whole corral full of other dusters that also meet
- 20:43this qualification. And the qualification is just
- 20:46overall quality of people. So when the normies are out
- 20:50there and they're looking for, you know, when, when memes do
- 20:54get back into kind of the radar of the mainstream and they're
- 20:57looking, they're going to look. And once they, once they stick a
- 21:00toe inside of our corral where all of us unicorns hang out
- 21:05together, right, all of us dusters hang out together,
- 21:07they're going to immediately meet people like you and other
- 21:12people like you and be like, wow, these are good people.
- 21:15These aren't like scammers hiding behind a, a APFP or
- 21:19whatever they're called that are trying to, you know, they're,
- 21:22they're going to feel like, wow, this is a, you know, almost
- 21:25like, and I'm not a real religious guy, great for anybody
- 21:28who is, but like, if they went to a new church and walked in
- 21:30and thought, these are my people, right?
- 21:32Because we want other people that are like us.
- 21:34And I think that's a big competitive advantage that we
- 21:37have, not that we're competing against anybody because we are
- 21:40just who we are, but I think that we are changing meme coins
- 21:45or we have the opportunity to change the meme coin sector by
- 21:49just leading by example and by and by showing people this is
- 21:53what this is what a meme coin project can be.
- 21:56And, and there's other great projects out there, right?
- 21:59But but they're, they're unfortunately in that start to a
- 22:02certain degree, few and far between.
- 22:06The other thing I want to mention, I want to get your
- 22:07opinion on too, that I think is cool about our project and
- 22:10unique is that, you know, we aren't based on any certain
- 22:14technology. We're based on people and
- 22:16community and, and a really cool meme, right?
- 22:20And and the idea of the Unicorn and those things last forever,
- 22:24right? That like I've heard people talk
- 22:26about and lately I've been thinking it was like, I think of
- 22:29like Coca-Cola or David Golkstein uses the, the, the
- 22:34well in the United, you may not know this, but there's a thing
- 22:36called GEICO insurance company. They have a gecko that's like
- 22:39their meme, like memes, like really cool memes are timeless,
- 22:43right? Like we're not dependent upon
- 22:46some great promise of a certain tech that we're developing or
- 22:49anything like that. Like we're dependent on a really
- 22:52cool meme, really cool people and, and quality.
- 22:56And I think that's, I think that's a strength that we have.
- 22:59Exactly, man, it, it, it people, people will, will, will be
- 23:03attracted with the stuff that they resonate with and that and
- 23:06they, and they, and they get a bit of a laugh out of or, or
- 23:09something that they feel that they feel, you know, you know,
- 23:12warm with like one, one of the, one of the boys at the wall I
- 23:15was painting with he, he, he bought an old shirt that I did
- 23:18off of, of Pepe Pepe the frog. And, and, and he, and he wears
- 23:22that often and people stop him and they go, Oh, Pepe, you know,
- 23:25that's, that's amazing. There's no different with other,
- 23:28with other memes that have that, that, that have that longevity
- 23:31and have that people loving it and pushing it.
- 23:34It's only a matter of time before before it starts to
- 23:36populate everywhere. Like I like, I see my kids, I've
- 23:39got 3 kids now and, and, and they're schooling me on, on, on
- 23:43what, on what's cool and what's popular and all sorts of imagery
- 23:46that's coming through all different new memes.
- 23:48Like they're schooling me all the time, like every other day
- 23:51they're calling me. OK, unk, you don't know what
- 23:53you're talking about. You know, like it's, it's crazy
- 23:56mate. But, but but it's the, it's the
- 23:58younger generation that are going to pick this up.
- 24:00Like, like, like what I often think about it all the time.
- 24:03I've been, you know, 30 plus years deep in this game of
- 24:06illustration and art. But, but but what I'm doing now
- 24:10is going to be taken up by the younger generation.
- 24:13So the younger generations are going to be moving this what
- 24:16we're doing now isn't, isn't, isn't the thing that's going to
- 24:19be, you know, only only a six month, a one year, A2 year.
- 24:23No, no, this is 510 years deep. And the kids are going to start
- 24:26pushing this and and then and then God knows where it goes
- 24:29from there. But but it's exciting, man.
- 24:32Like, like, like when I see when I see people talk about like
- 24:35just going back to the, to the Pepe shirt, like that's the,
- 24:40that's the, that's the little, the little catalyst that will,
- 24:43that will move, move these sparks with community.
- 24:45And then and then and then expand this to Web 2 to go, OK,
- 24:48what's this? What's this noise?
- 24:50And then that's the thing that's going to pull it back to Web 3.
- 24:52And just touching back on what you said before about, about
- 24:55this isn't a competition. And this is what kind of
- 24:57frustrates me a little bit in this, in this, in this ecosystem
- 25:01is that everyone's fighting for attention.
- 25:03Everyone's trying to be #1 top dog, but but everyone should
- 25:06kind of step back a little bit, have a sip of their coffee and
- 25:09see what's going on. This is a bigger, this is a
- 25:11bigger thing. This is, this is, this is a,
- 25:13this is a platform where where if one, if one project or one or
- 25:17one coin, whatever, 11 little group prospers and wins.
- 25:24And that's going to lift everyone up like, and this is,
- 25:27and this is what I do with everything in my work.
- 25:28Like, like, like I'm teaching, I'm always giving trips and
- 25:31ticks to everyone, to other artists because, because I want
- 25:34everyone to be lifted up. Like like when that when that
- 25:37happens, then and then everyone catches the wind and then the
- 25:39whole ecosystem will like move better because everyone's like,
- 25:42Oh well, everyone's, everyone's getting good.
- 25:44Everyone, everyone's catching wins it.
- 25:45And then that brings in more and more people.
- 25:47That's it's only positive. Yeah, yeah.
- 25:50You know, I was on a spaces Tuesday night with a community
- 25:53called Pizza, which is giving away pizzas and and I didn't
- 25:58know much about them, honestly. And I learned a great deal when
- 26:02I was on that with them. And and one of the guys who's a
- 26:05big leader in that community said something that I think was
- 26:09really, really cool. And that was that, you know,
- 26:11initially they kind of modeled what they were doing after UFD.
- 26:16And, you know, at first glance, I think some people say, oh, you
- 26:19know, it's somebody trying to farm us or somebody trying, but
- 26:21they've been doing it now for a long time.
- 26:23And I'm like, that's good. That's what we want to see
- 26:26happen, right? Is other good communities to the
- 26:29extent that that we can be a positive or were a positive
- 26:33influence on that, on that person, on that community that
- 26:36helps everybody in the end, right?
- 26:38Because the more good projects are in are in the are in the
- 26:43meme coin sector, the more good people are going to come in and
- 26:47and the better that all of us can do.
- 26:49And, and I agree with you 100%. I loved what you said about
- 26:52helping other, you know, young artists and I know you helped, I
- 26:55think you helped. Was it amicorn in the UFD
- 26:57community? Well, Amy.
- 26:59Yeah, yeah, yeah, Amy. Helped, helped her launch an NFT
- 27:02project, you know, and, and I've always done that.
- 27:06I did that when I was on YouTube, help people get their
- 27:10channels started and, and it just, I don't know, it just
- 27:13feels good. And at the end of the day, it
- 27:16winds up helping you as well from AI.
- 27:19Guess the selfish perspective a little bit, but it really does.
- 27:22And it's just, I think it's, it's the way to do things.
- 27:25Yeah, and 100% I've, I've always wondered the one of the homies
- 27:29in the graffiti scene. Actually, I'm, he's, he's in the
- 27:32graffiti scene, but he's, but I met him through NFTS Selleck.
- 27:36He he, he said something that that really resonated with me.
- 27:39And this was like 3 years ago. Each each one teach one and
- 27:43that. And if everyone does that, then
- 27:45everyone's lifted up, you know, you know, don't be, don't be,
- 27:48don't be scared or don't be worried, fearful of, of sharing
- 27:52your gifts with people, you know, because sharing your
- 27:55skills and sharing your craft with someone, sharing your good
- 27:58times with people is only going to, you know, you know, share
- 28:01that, share that wisdom and that love around and that'll come
- 28:04back to you. And then you'll get better,
- 28:05better. Samantha, I've always been about
- 28:06that. I'll, I'll always continue to be
- 28:08about that. Yeah, it's, it's funny you say
- 28:10that. I don't, I don't want to get too
- 28:11far off track, but I, I built a big YouTube channel for the gold
- 28:15and silver niche and, and I studied YouTube.
- 28:20OK, I mean, I studied it every day, read books about it, Learn,
- 28:23learn, learn, learn to, to get to get as good as I could get at
- 28:27it. And in practice, right, I worked
- 28:29at it every day. And then people would start
- 28:31coming to me and, and that, you know, like I had some really
- 28:35good, what I thought were secrets, right?
- 28:37And, and what I found was the more I shared those perceived
- 28:41secrets that I had with is anyone who came to me and was
- 28:45asking me a, or, you know, advice, opinions, counsel,
- 28:49whatever it was, the better that I did, the better they did.
- 28:52I mean it, it really is cool what you describe.
- 28:55I mean, it really works. And it's not like, I mean, we're
- 28:58all in this together, right? And and I think that applies to
- 29:02what we're to what we're doing with UFD as well.
- 29:06Yeah, no, no I think so too mate.
- 29:08Like I take everything back to because I grew up doing a
- 29:12graffiti and, and painting walls, like a lot of people
- 29:15would go to a wall and they wouldn't, and they wouldn't want
- 29:17to share, you know, share their secrets or the little little a
- 29:20little, a little tricky little, you know, tricky little can
- 29:23yeah, can tricks or whatever. But man, I didn't care.
- 29:26I'll I'll, I'll be like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll show you how to
- 29:27do it. Because the next time, next time
- 29:29when I'm at the wall and I'm painting with homie, then he's
- 29:31going to show me something too. And then we're going to then
- 29:33we're all going to lift up. It's it's good.
- 29:35And then I'm going to be like, oh, lucky he did that.
- 29:37I'm going to try this. And you know, it's, it's good
- 29:39that back and forth. It's, it's no different than
- 29:41when you're than when you're in a bit of a, a creative
- 29:44mastermind with all sorts of different people.
- 29:45Scientists used to do this. They, they still do.
- 29:48They'll all, they'll all, they'll all jump in a room for
- 29:4924 hours and they all just throw their different ideas together
- 29:53and they come up with something like amazing.
- 29:54Like, yeah, that's awesome. We, I, I think we get much
- 29:58further working together then we do trying to work by ourselves,
- 30:04right. I want to go out.
- 30:05I want to talk about Duster Gang.
- 30:07For those of you, we got a 300 people on here with us right
- 30:10now. It's 7:00 in the morning.
- 30:12Yeah, that's big. And I want to show up.
- 30:15Anybody who's joined us, this is gimmicks.
- 30:18He's a talented graffiti artist, a talented artist, a talented
- 30:23NFT artist has launched a very successful UFD oriented NFT
- 30:30project, Duster Gang. I'm going to go out and why
- 30:33don't you tell us, why don't, why don't you tell us who you
- 30:36are gimmicks. Because I, I maybe I didn't do
- 30:39a, a, a a very thorough job there.
- 30:42No, no, no. I appreciate that, mate.
- 30:44Yeah, I go by gimmick spawn. I've man, I've been, I'm a
- 30:49professional tattoo artist. I'm an illustrator.
- 30:52I've been tattooing for about nearly 1413 years now, but I've
- 30:55been doing illustration in art of over 30 years, 46 years old
- 31:01now. So being, I started when I was a
- 31:03teenager, so I've been in the game for a while now.
- 31:05And, and yeah, started off doing actually digital art and graphic
- 31:09design. And then then I moved from that
- 31:11into tattooing and from tattooing just kind of was able
- 31:15to tattoo as well as doing a lot more murals.
- 31:18So I was very fortunate to do a few murals all, all around the
- 31:21world, met up with a lot of cool, talented people, painted
- 31:25all sorts of different stuff. It was, it was very good fun.
- 31:28But all along with that, just doing tattooing and illustration
- 31:31really kind of was allowed me to meet all sorts of different folk
- 31:34and, and, and just stretch my, my tool bag a lot.
- 31:38And that's what, and, and that's what got me into NFTS during
- 31:42COVID. I was like, I had to step back
- 31:43and tattooing and I saw what was happening in, in the web 3
- 31:48ecosystem and was like, what's this NFT stuff?
- 31:50So Long story short, I did a few one-on-one NFTS on the Phantom
- 31:55Chain with all the homies over there and then made my way all
- 32:00through to Ethereum, hooked up with the genuine Undead
- 32:06community, and then found you, Ron, and then found, I found UFD
- 32:11and I was like, heard your story.
- 32:12And I was like, it's funny because when I've been, when
- 32:14I've been doing NFTS for a while, the, the, the collectors
- 32:20and the people that, that were collecting my art were always
- 32:22like, oh, when are you going to gimmicks?
- 32:23When are you going to do a, a generative collection?
- 32:25You know, we want, we need, we need a big collection.
- 32:27And I was like, no, not yet, soon, soon, not yet, not, not,
- 32:30not yet. But, but my UFD came along and I
- 32:33heard your story and I was like, it's time, it's time to cook.
- 32:37I need, I need to, I need to do this, this generative
- 32:40collection. And it's my first generative
- 32:41collection. Been a long time coming.
- 32:44And it was fun, man. I just did my interpretation of,
- 32:47of, of Billy the Unicorn. Yeah, he's he's he's normally
- 32:50sitting that sitting back there behind you.
- 32:52And I did my kind of like my fresh little kind of, you know,
- 32:56it's, it looks like a Unicorn, but it's not, it's some people
- 32:59say it's a dinosaur. It's, it's fine.
- 33:01It's, it's, it's like a fresh little take on a Unicorn.
- 33:04But, but yeah, I did like a collection that's 2222 dusters
- 33:11and it's based Dusty Gang is based around the ethos behind it
- 33:15is Dusty Gang is, is, is in the world that I'm creating.
- 33:18It's like a bigger kind of world.
- 33:20It, it fits right in there. And, and, and the larger tail
- 33:23that will, will, will be revealed as we go on.
- 33:26Because, you know, being my first generative mate, I've got
- 33:28a lot more heart to give. And Dusty Gang's just the first
- 33:32piece mate. And, and to be honest, the fact
- 33:35that I was able to do it and you know, and give and make sure
- 33:38that you know, 10% to the, to the, to the, to the marketing
- 33:41wallet. And then you know, and, and
- 33:43monies to you, to, to you and your family mate.
- 33:45That's, that's epic. That's another that mate, that's
- 33:48another silver lining to this, to this web 3 space mate.
- 33:51Then you, you know, you've got, you've got some random Titleist
- 33:55in, in Australia that loves UFD, that wants to make your
- 33:58collection and then you're able to get some funds for it and
- 34:01then it's back into UFD. It keeps it moving.
- 34:04Like what, what, what other, what other ecosystem does this
- 34:07mate? What are the what are the spice
- 34:09does this? I don't know, man.
- 34:10It's. It's it's incredible.
- 34:13I remember we were on spring break in a place called Branson,
- 34:16MO, which is a tourist town. And I was awake, we were waking
- 34:20up the day to come home and my elderly parents were with us.
- 34:24And I was looking through my messages and I don't think I'd
- 34:26ever really met you. And I saw I had a message from
- 34:29you. And I'm like, gimmicks.
- 34:30I'm like, and you got your little carrot.
- 34:32Oh, by the way, where is it? There it is.
- 34:33Can you see right there Gimmicks.
- 34:35I got the carrots out for you this.
- 34:37Morning. Yeah, and I and I was like,
- 34:42what's this? And then I talked to some other
- 34:44people and they were like, they were like we was on a space.
- 34:47I I just, I think I'm remembering this correctly.
- 34:49One of the the the key community people I talked to on ribs said
- 34:53he was on a spaces last night. And and and they're like, he's
- 34:56like the most genuine good guy in the world.
- 34:59And, and, and I got the message from you about the support.
- 35:02And then I was like, wow. You know, I mean, like, it was a
- 35:05total surprise and totally cool. And I want to point out to
- 35:08everybody who's joining us, it's right there on his shirt.
- 35:10Duster Gang, you're doing a good job.
- 35:12There you go. Duster gang.
- 35:14UFD baby. Yeah.
- 35:17And it's been a huge benefit to our community.
- 35:19I want to pull up a couple things.
- 35:22And I want to talk to you about this.
- 35:23I want to. I want to pull up.
- 35:25Let me let me do this. Not this first.
- 35:28I'm going to pull up something else first on the screen, which
- 35:32was the recent. And by the way, here's gimmicks
- 35:36X profile GIMIKS with a carrot behind it.
- 35:40Don't forget the carrot. And he's at gimmicks born.
- 35:43He's one of the coolest people I've met in my entire life.
- 35:46OK, He's up there in the. Yeah, well, you're not on.
- 35:50You should hopefully on screen people are seeing your.
- 35:53Yeah, they are. So I want to go down here to
- 35:55this. Oops.
- 35:56Shoot. Hold on one second.
- 35:57Gimmicks I'm I'm screwing up here.
- 36:00I want to go down to the recent graffiti here.
- 36:06It is right here and I mean this is incredible.
- 36:09How long so this is a piece of graffiti art that you did on a
- 36:12wall. I mean is is this just like a a
- 36:17wall where you're free to paint graffiti?
- 36:19How does this work? How does this like come about?
- 36:21I'm just curious. Yeah, that walls down in a place
- 36:24called Mullumbar. It's it's it's kind of it's a
- 36:26legal wall that's near the river of Mullumbar and it's and it's
- 36:31kind of looked after by one of the local legends.
- 36:34His name's graffiti name. You know, he goes by basics and
- 36:38he looks after the wall and, and he's, and he's, and he's been
- 36:40doing that for a long time. So it's kind of like a legal
- 36:42spot that you can go to, but you, you have to kind of, you
- 36:46know, get permission to do it. But we, we got permission to go
- 36:50down there and, and there was about about 10 or 12 of us down
- 36:53there painting for like a very special day.
- 36:56It was, it was good, mate. It was those sort of jams, you
- 36:59know, are fun. It's good to get together with
- 37:01other artists and just throw some paint around.
- 37:03And yeah, it was good, mate. So, so you so you did this
- 37:06entire piece of graffiti. How long did it take you?
- 37:10I'm just just out of curiosity. Yeah, we, we, we got down there
- 37:14about 10:00 and we finished about 5:00.
- 37:16But there was, it was probably about probably about 3-3 hours
- 37:19of just, of just chin wag and, and just, and just chopping it
- 37:23up. So maybe about four hours.
- 37:25Wow, wow. OK, so I want to start this
- 37:28video over again and this it's only 16 seconds and is that your
- 37:33tag right there, the black part? OK, I mean.
- 37:36This is incredible. Did you, did you, do you paint
- 37:39the whole background first the green and then?
- 37:42Or was it already painted for you?
- 37:44Just out of curiosity. Yeah, yeah, No, I, I, it was, it
- 37:48was my job. The boys were like gimmicks.
- 37:50Can you bring the buff, which is in Australia, we call it buff,
- 37:52but it's like house paint. So I brought all the house
- 37:55paint. That was, that was the the base
- 37:56coat. So that's that one like that
- 37:58dark grey green. So I bought, I bought that down
- 38:02for everyone. And then and then and then we
- 38:03bought paint off off off basics. And basically what you do is you
- 38:07just we just buffed it pretty rough there.
- 38:09You can see the piece underneath a little bit, but you buff it
- 38:12first and then you sketch, get a can and SketchUp the basic
- 38:15character outline shapes. And then you just start to fill
- 38:19it in like you would do a drawing.
- 38:20And that and that, that actual graffiti piece there, that's by
- 38:24one of the homies. I, I didn't actually do that
- 38:27piece. I did the I did the dust again,
- 38:29a zombie zombie character and he did that, that graffiti piece
- 38:33next to it. So that's a bit of a join up
- 38:35between me and him. So, so wait a minute, but you
- 38:38did this character right here. OK, You did that.
- 38:42And that's all done with spray paint.
- 38:44Yep, Yep, Yep, little spray paint.
- 38:46Wow, that is incredible. You know, I got to be on.
- 38:49I love the whole thing. But, and I showed this yesterday
- 38:52during the live stream, the teeth that blows me away those
- 38:58those teeth. I mean, it's really, truly
- 39:01incredible, man. You are super talented.
- 39:04That is awesome. And let's go over to, oh, there
- 39:07it is there. And that's you correct.
- 39:09Yep, Yep, Yep. That's me.
- 39:11Yep. Wow.
- 39:12That's me. That is really awesome gimmicks.
- 39:16OK, And now I want to go back and and give you an opportunity
- 39:20if you liked or whatever extent you want to talk about what's
- 39:22going on with the Duster Gang NFT project because I saw this
- 39:27this morning, the infamous I'll I'll read this with as much
- 39:31fanfare and enthusiasm as I can. The infamous Donnie Duster Sr.
- 39:37one of one DG just sold for 3.5 Solana family.
- 39:42Congrats to the seller and the new owner, UFD Duster gang, yo,
- 39:47which I love when you say that we still out here horns up
- 39:50dusters. So tell me about what went on
- 39:52with that and kind of what's going on with the Duster Gang
- 39:56NFT project and I'll I'll pull this guy up on full.
- 39:59Screen. Yeah, yeah, that's, that's
- 40:00Donnie Duster. He he, he, he's one of the
- 40:03secret. Secret.
- 40:04Rare one on ones in the collection.
- 40:05There's actually, there's a collection of 2222, but there's,
- 40:09there's actually a couple of like sub collections that are
- 40:12quite rare in the collection. He's from a like a sub
- 40:15collection of 40 secret rare one on ones that that almost like
- 40:20when you get poker, I'm sorry, Pokémon cards, you know, there's
- 40:24like the rares, ultra rares, and then these are the secret rares.
- 40:27And yeah, he's one of the, he's one of the only four Ninja
- 40:30Turtles kind of inspired dusty gangs in there.
- 40:35So yeah, he was pretty special and he got, he got picked up
- 40:38tonight. So.
- 40:39So that's yeah, Congrats to the buyer and the holder, but mate,
- 40:42that's. A pretty high price, right for a
- 40:45in this marketplace, for a, for a, for an NFT.
- 40:48Correct, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, at the moment, mate.
- 40:50That's quite that's quite significant mate.
- 40:53Just just I was going over the looking at the stats the other
- 40:56day of just of of just what Dusty Gang has done.
- 40:59And this is, and this is because of the community, mate, like,
- 41:01like the UFD community just got, got behind it incredibly.
- 41:06Like I thought, you know, I'll do a collection and, and, and,
- 41:09and see how it goes. And, and, and the whole UFD
- 41:12community got behind it so much and, and they just pushed it,
- 41:15mate. Like we've done 2100 Solana
- 41:18volume on the secondary, 2100 Solana that's, that's on
- 41:23secondary that's gone through the marketplace, mate.
- 41:25That's, that's crazy, That's nuts, especially in this market
- 41:29and, and, and some of the sales that we were getting a while
- 41:33ago, it's very, very quiet at the moment.
- 41:35But but a while ago there was like sales of like 20 souls, 17
- 41:38soul, like 10 soul like that was.
- 41:40And and probably when Solana was much higher price wise than it
- 41:44is right now. Correct.
- 41:45Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly mate. It's, it's crazy.
- 41:48And, and, and one of the most special things about the
- 41:51collection is, is, is that I was able to get a lot of my art
- 41:55homies that I've met over in the phantom chain, which is now
- 41:58Sonic homies from Ethereum, all different chains and, and IRL as
- 42:04well, like Tata W that I know illustrators to, to jump into
- 42:08the collection and do and do and do legendary one on ones for me.
- 42:12So there's so there's ten different, there's ten different
- 42:15artists. Oh, sorry, 9-9 different artists
- 42:17that have put one on ones in the collection as well.
- 42:19So, so that's, that's what I mean, like to, it was pretty
- 42:22special for me to like, you know, like to go, oh, like these
- 42:25are, these are my talented friends, you know, like have a
- 42:27look at them too, you know, because yeah, yeah, it was
- 42:30pretty, it was pretty awesome, man.
- 42:31But Dusty gang, it's my first, my first generative collection.
- 42:36It's it's just one little piece to A, to a much bigger story
- 42:40that's going to unfold as time goes on.
- 42:43And you'll see that evolve through through through more
- 42:46art, more comic stories and everything else.
- 42:49Mate who? Who knows what's to come?
- 42:51Yeah, yeah. So now I'm, I'm a, as you know,
- 42:53I'm an, an FT novice. So I want to make sure I when
- 42:56you say generative, because you've used that word a few
- 42:58times, does that mean that there's like, well, explain, I
- 43:02will let you. I in my mind.
- 43:03I in my mind. It makes sense, but I want to
- 43:06make sure I understand it correctly.
- 43:07Yeah, well, well, a generative imagine this.
- 43:10It's, it's the way I, I did the collection is, is that I did,
- 43:16they're called traits. So, so imagine, imagine you've
- 43:18got like a background layer. And then on top of the
- 43:21background, you've got, you've got the body of the duster and
- 43:24on top of them you've got the clothing and then you've got the
- 43:26face, the hair, hat and all sorts of stuff.
- 43:28So all different layers and, and each trait, each layer might
- 43:33have maybe, maybe 30 different hats or 50 different eyes, you
- 43:37know, all sorts of different, they ended up being close to 303
- 43:39hundred different traits all hand drawn for the dust again.
- 43:43So, so basically I, I would take all those traits, put them into
- 43:47an algorithm that, that, and I'd go basically, I'd, I'd make sure
- 43:51all the rarities are all are all sorted, you know, so the laser
- 43:54eyes are really, for example, the laser eyes are really rare.
- 43:59The, the, the, the, the ghost skin is very rare.
- 44:02So make sure all the rarities line up and then push play and
- 44:04then it spits out all the different variables.
- 44:06It's it's it's super cool, but that's a generative.
- 44:08So basically it's all the different images are all are all
- 44:11super unique, but they all are tailored to that, to that
- 44:14schematic of rarity. So then do you get to choose?
- 44:18So you generate based on all these different layers, which
- 44:21makes perfect sense. You did a great job explaining
- 44:24that. So you you put it in the
- 44:26algorithm, it spits out all these different NFTS.
- 44:30Do you then choose which ones or do all of them automatically get
- 44:34minted? I guess the word is.
- 44:36Does that? Does that make sense?
- 44:38Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, all, all of it.
- 44:39Well, that's what the community did.
- 44:40Yeah. Like what?
- 44:41I, I set it all up. I set it all up in the back
- 44:44channel. So it was all ready to mint And,
- 44:46and, and basically people are minting them without knowing
- 44:48what they're getting. So they're going to, it's, it's
- 44:50like buying a packet of Pokémon cards and ripping it open and
- 44:53seeing what you get. You don't know, OK.
- 44:55You could. Get a couple of Commons or you
- 44:57could get an ultra rare, who knows?
- 44:59So, but yeah, it was, it was, it was all minted out by the by the
- 45:02community, which I was hyped on and, and here we are.
- 45:06Here we are. Yep.
- 45:07One more question. I know it's almost it's almost
- 45:09January 2nd where you live, but if if people want to check them
- 45:15out and people want to maybe purchase one, is it Magic Eden?
- 45:19Is that where they go or is there another?
- 45:21It is OK, so I'm going to go out there real quick.
- 45:24Is that OK? Do you have a few more minutes
- 45:25for me so we can? Go here.
- 45:26I'm I'm here. It's all good.
- 45:28I'm enjoying this. Let me let me go to Google.
- 45:33Hold on here. I think I make sure I shared the
- 45:35screen, which I did, and where is it?
- 45:38Here we are all right, so I'm gonna can you see you right now?
- 45:41You see your NFT on the screen, correct?
- 45:45And now you should see Google. All right, and I'll go to Magic
- 45:49Eden. There you go.
- 45:52We go and I'll click on that. OK, so this is where people go.
- 45:57I know this is where. So this this is like one of the
- 45:59is this a Solana based marketplace for no if?
- 46:03You if you like, if you if you see that the little, the little
- 46:06box to the left that says all chains.
- 46:08Uh huh. Yeah.
- 46:09If you go across there to the, as you scroll to the right,
- 46:11there's all the different chain icons.
- 46:13So if you click on the Yep, Yep, click on Solana, OK, and then
- 46:17you go and then go to the top where the search is and you just
- 46:20type in Duster Gang, it'll come up.
- 46:23Duster Gang, is that there? It is right there at the very
- 46:27top, OK. Yes, Sir.
- 46:29All right, if I click on that and then this is where people
- 46:33OK, excellent, excellent. So if, if, if, if someone buys
- 46:38in an NFT and I know you gifted me a couple of them which I'm
- 46:41holding safely on my Ledger. Thank you Ledger for sponsoring
- 46:44Ron's basement. And if I wanted to buy another
- 46:47NFTI would fund my wallet with Moon pay by the other great
- 46:51sponsor that we have. So, so if somebody these are the
- 46:58ones that are for sale, but but if, if someone buys an NFT, it's
- 47:03not automatically in this marketplace, right?
- 47:06You have to actually list it there if you want to sell it, is
- 47:09that right? Yeah.
- 47:10Well, that's that's the thing. All the all the the NFTS that
- 47:14are minted are actually read by the marketplaces.
- 47:17So that so that so they're live in the marketplace.
- 47:20So if you but but, but if you're but like all these listings here
- 47:23have been, have been listed by people.
- 47:27Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you have to,
- 47:29you have to still physically list them.
- 47:31But but that's the beauty of this of this ecosystem.
- 47:34You know, like when you meant something, then then these
- 47:38marketplace places instantly recognize that and they'll and
- 47:41they will show it on this on this on this platform.
- 47:44But yeah, yeah, it's pretty cool all.
- 47:47Right, there's Jasper. I see Jasper can.
- 47:49I there he is. And coincidentally and
- 47:53coincidentally, upstairs, Susie is still in bed.
- 47:56But Jasper is an early riser like me, and I hear him right
- 47:59above me. He must know we're talking about
- 48:01him because I hear him pulling, pulling ornaments off our
- 48:04Christmas tree. He's one of his, one of his
- 48:08favorite pastimes. All right, so that's Magic Eden.
- 48:13Awesome. Hey, what did I forget to ask
- 48:16you before we sign off? Is there anything that I forgot
- 48:19to talk about? Anything you want to mention
- 48:20before we did? Farewell.
- 48:23Oh, mate, just quickly before before we sign off, thank you so
- 48:27much for having me on. Oh, mate, I've been, I've been
- 48:29wanting to come on your your lives since I forgot a year now.
- 48:33Yeah. Is this our first time that I've
- 48:35had you on a live stream? Yeah.
- 48:37Yeah, it is. Oh my gosh.
- 48:39I apologize to the. I apologize to the world.
- 48:43What are you? What are you doing tomorrow
- 48:45night? Just.
- 48:45All right, let's do it again. We'll do it again, yeah.
- 48:48No, I mean, hey man, like I said, now repeat it.
- 48:51Now we have 450 people on here, which is for this time of the
- 48:55day and in general is very good. So we that's a big deal, but
- 49:01it's a big honor to have you on here.
- 49:03And I said it earlier and I'll say it again.
- 49:05Not only are you a key community member and a very generous
- 49:10community member of UFD, but look, when I talk about you,
- 49:14when anybody talks about you gimmicks, it's in a like super
- 49:18complimentary, high quality way. Like you are a good person with
- 49:24a good heart. And, and I think that, you know,
- 49:27that's what's going to win in life and that's what's going to
- 49:30win in crypto as well. And you know, you're a very
- 49:34critical part, like everybody else out there who's joining us,
- 49:37right of us kind of leading by example within the NFT space,
- 49:42within the crypto space and how we can all work together and,
- 49:46and, and, and really get crypto to where it can be.
- 49:49I mean, OK, I'm not gonna wrap up.
- 49:51I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant. Like I'm not a crypto guru, but
- 49:56I've been around for a year and I've learned a lot.
- 49:58And one of the things I learned that really excited me about
- 50:01crypto were these original ethos of crypto.
- 50:05And when I look at a person like you, when I look at the people
- 50:08that are in our community, I know that we're like aligned
- 50:11really well with what the original intent was behind
- 50:15crypto. Unfortunately, between Bitcoin
- 50:19being created and where we are today, there was some riff raff
- 50:22that occurred, right? Let's be real, extraction,
- 50:25whatever. And I just know, you know, look
- 50:28at what Bitcoin did. And I, and I, and I mean, when I
- 50:31say I, I, I look at our project as baby Bitcoin and, and, and I
- 50:36know that we are adhering to those original ethos.
- 50:40It wasn't a strategy I had, right?
- 50:41I, this was, everybody knows the lore behind UFD.
- 50:45This was an experiment, whatever, but but, but I'm I'm
- 50:49what makes me excited is that that just by like doing the
- 50:53right thing and I'm not perfect. I will never claim perfection,
- 50:57but by treating other people the way I would want to be treated
- 51:01fairly, honestly, that by default, we did it here to these
- 51:05original ethos. And it's great People like you
- 51:08and and and and and the people that are out there watching
- 51:11right now that we can make a difference and it's super
- 51:13exciting. OK, and I want to get your last
- 51:17thing. I want to get your opinion on is
- 51:18this. One of the things I get super
- 51:20excited about is this gift that we have.
- 51:23And I think it's easy when we get kind of drug into what's
- 51:26going on day-to-day and how much work this can be and how, you
- 51:30know, there's ups and downs and but that we really are in a very
- 51:33privileged position right now when you look at just the
- 51:38technology. OK, look, I am in a basement in
- 51:41Saint Louis. You are in Australia.
- 51:43You're 14 hours ahead of me, which of course means you're 14
- 51:46hours smarter as well. But we're we are connecting like
- 51:51you. I think you said you're 45.
- 51:53I mean, I'm 55. You know, dude, 25 years ago,
- 51:58people, if somebody told us that we'd be doing this and we have
- 52:00500 people all around the world joining us.
- 52:04Like, that's a gift. Like, to me, that's like the
- 52:06equivalent of when the printing press was invented.
- 52:09It allowed people to share information and more effectively
- 52:13and it changed the world. And and we're doing that on top
- 52:16of that, we have Web 3, right? And everything we talked about
- 52:19with web three, these relationships.
- 52:21And on top of that, even better there.
- 52:24But wait, there's more gimmicks. And that is that we've got the
- 52:27the gift of crypto in the blockchain, like all three of
- 52:30those. It's pretty exciting.
- 52:32What do you think? Yeah.
- 52:33Bro bro I get excited about it too.
- 52:35When I think about it, it's it's massive.
- 52:37Like like I think about often young a young gimmicks.
- 52:42You know, his his buddy 1920. He knows he knows he can draw a
- 52:46good be. You know, it's a big wild world
- 52:48out there. He's got no idea how to show his
- 52:51comics to anyone or do this and that.
- 52:53Imagine him imagine him now like he's able to show his comics and
- 52:56what he wanted to do everywhere. You know, like it's it's crazy.
- 52:59Like I've got I've got one of my good friends.
- 53:03She's an amazing tattooist and, and, and she's actually had arm
- 53:07surgery on her arm and she and she's in a bad way and she's
- 53:10like, look, she's like gimmicks. I can't tattoo anymore.
- 53:13She's an amazing artist and she's like, I want to start
- 53:16drawing again, but I don't know what to do.
- 53:17Like, like she's broken And I'm like, you need to get into Web
- 53:213, not to make money. This is this is the thing.
- 53:25It's not only to make money. This space.
- 53:27She's got a massive big family worldwide family at her reach
- 53:31and she can show people her art and there's going to be
- 53:34collectors that want her art and it's going to build up her her
- 53:37herself confidence so, so much because because that's what she
- 53:40needs. And this is and and this is the
- 53:43secret power of the space that people forget about is, is that
- 53:46she's in the spot. She's she's in a a you know,
- 53:49she's, she's, she's not good. But I'm like, look, when you get
- 53:52better, I'm going to show you this community UFD and this is
- 53:55going to be your platform to, to this branch out and just, and
- 53:58just show the world what you can do on a totally different level,
- 54:01on a totally different playing playing field, connectivity all
- 54:05around the world. And this will be able to, to get
- 54:07to get that light back in your eyes.
- 54:09Like, like, I can't wait to do that for her.
- 54:11You know, that's just, that's just one example of what, of
- 54:13what is achievable in this, in this ecosystem and what, you
- 54:16know, the likes of UFD and, and, and other and other communities
- 54:20which have, which have a similar ethos can do.
- 54:22Like, you know, so much, so much emphasis is made.
- 54:25You know, I'm making money, you know, quick flips and stuff,
- 54:27which is fine. You know, that, that, that, that
- 54:30brings volume, that brings, you know, eyes on stuff.
- 54:32But, but those, those things, man, where it's where, it's
- 54:34where it's instant connectivity between humans across the world
- 54:37and, and just giving and sharing.
- 54:39That's, that's the, that's the stuff that, that that excites
- 54:43me, man. That's the stuff that gets me.
- 54:46This right now, what we're doing, it's the magic.
- 54:48I mean, it really is magic. I loved what you said.
- 54:53You can't even put it into words.
- 54:55The 19 year old gimmicks. Who's a comic artist, drawing,
- 54:58whatever, right? 25 years ago, 26 years ago, the,
- 55:04the, the path at that point 26 years ago, for you to get that,
- 55:08to share that with the world was almost impossible, right?
- 55:12The odds of you is almost impossible.
- 55:15I have the exact same thought all the time.
- 55:18For some reason. I go back, I went to DePaul
- 55:20University in Chicago and I'm a senior in college and I and I
- 55:25say the same story essentially. I say, and I remember I was
- 55:28getting ready to graduate and one of my, I have a degree in
- 55:30accounting, believe it or not. If you, if you told me back
- 55:34then, like at that point of my life, I said, I've said this
- 55:36many times at that point in my life, if I had an idea or I
- 55:40wanted to share things, a message with the world or
- 55:43develop a platform, I couldn't do it right.
- 55:46I mean, I, I couldn't if I wanted to get a video out to the
- 55:50world. And I say this more in terms of
- 55:52YouTube, but but it's true. Like if if I wanted to, to make
- 55:55a video and share it with the world, it would have cost
- 55:59probably $100,000 in 1992 to make that video and then to get
- 56:04it distributed and available throughout the world.
- 56:07It it, it's impossible. Whereas now literally people can
- 56:11go down in their basement, turn on their cell phone, record a
- 56:15video and they and you have this platform to share it with the
- 56:18world. And that does all feed into kind
- 56:21of where we are right now with Web 3 and this opportunity, it
- 56:24really it's an incredible opportunity.
- 56:27Yeah, it is, yeah, 100% man. It's, it's, it's it, it connects
- 56:32people more and more and, you know, it helps, it helps people
- 56:35too. You know, that, that, that, you
- 56:36know, that are that are alone or, or going through tough
- 56:38times. If, if they, if they have
- 56:40communities that they that they can, you know, turn on to and,
- 56:42and kind of lean on. That's what we need more of,
- 56:45man. Yeah, and it and it's been
- 56:47proven there's studies that people feel more, there's more
- 56:51people that are suffering from depression, whatever and, and,
- 56:56and and loneliness. And there's nothing really as
- 56:59bad as the feeling of loneliness.
- 57:01Like even though from a lifestyle perspective, generally
- 57:05speaking, people in the world are living better than any other
- 57:08time in history. People are also, I think because
- 57:12in times past, community was much more important or much more
- 57:17it was more ingrained in our life, right, because people
- 57:21lived in small towns, whatever throughout all the history where
- 57:24is now people are able to because of you know, it's a
- 57:28paradox and it's not a good one or an irony, whatever paradox
- 57:31irony it, but that that because people are living much nicer
- 57:35lifestyles, we're also living more isolated lifestyles and
- 57:39people want that connection. And again, it goes back to what
- 57:43we talked about earlier with UFD.
- 57:44Here we are right. Here's a place where you can
- 57:47connect on a very good level. So wow.
- 57:50Yeah, no, that's awesome, man. And and yeah, I've said it
- 57:55before, but I touch on it again, like like, like I, I just love
- 57:58the idea that that, and this is what I've thought about it from
- 58:01the start. And this is what I fell in love
- 58:03with it when I was when I, when I first sort of heard your story
- 58:07is, is that is that you wanted it to just be, you know, you
- 58:12know, like a test to see what happens, blah, blah.
- 58:14But then the community came into you and then it grew, it grew,
- 58:16it grew, it grew from the inside out.
- 58:19But but it was everyone coming in.
- 58:22It was everyone coming in. And that's what I love the best
- 58:24of the most about it is that it doesn't matter like, like, like
- 58:28I see this. I can't often get up in spaces
- 58:30and talk, but I see this all the time with not only our
- 58:33community, but different communities.
- 58:34People are. So, you know, I, I can't be a
- 58:37part of this community because I don't have the same colours.
- 58:39I don't have the same PFP. It doesn't matter.
- 58:42It doesn't matter like, like, like get involved like, like,
- 58:46like it's, it's anyone, anyone can be a part of it.
- 58:49It doesn't matter where you're from, what community you're
- 58:51from. That's what I love about it,
- 58:52mate. And that's why I get excited
- 58:53too, because you know, the likes of going to a graffiti wall and
- 58:56talking to mates like I, I've already got a few of them that
- 58:59have, you know, they used to be butter cups and they're dusters.
- 59:01Now I just send them a few beans and they're in, you know what I
- 59:04mean? Like that's that, that, that's
- 59:06what we need more of. And this is, and this is the
- 59:08catalyst for it because it's such, it's, it's such a, it's
- 59:11such a strange old, such a strange old paradigm that we're
- 59:15in. Mate.
- 59:15You you just started this Unicorn fart dust thing with
- 59:17Billy. Yeah.
- 59:18And now we're here doing this and I'm bloody talking to
- 59:21graffiti graffiti instead of all about about Unicorn fat dust.
- 59:24You know what I mean? It's.
- 59:26And you and I are and you and I are doing this right. 25 years
- 59:31ago without this technology, unfortunately we would we would
- 59:35have never met. OK, one more thing because man,
- 59:38when you talk it, it a big white bulb went off on my head about
- 59:43community and and you know, I, I haven't told this story
- 59:47recently, but on day 2 are the next morning after Unicorn
- 59:51fought and I created the coin, it took off the market cap went
- 59:54I think on the second day, something like $200 million.
- 59:57I remember sitting right up right up there.
- 1:00:00We have a screened in porch and you know, I think I'd slept
- 1:00:03about 1/2 hour that night, but I remember I opened my phantom
- 1:00:06wallet and I looked at it and it had I forget now 1.4 million
- 1:00:11U.S. dollar, a lot of money, OK, huge amount of money and I'm
- 1:00:14looking at that. I'm like, is that real?
- 1:00:16And. Holy, you know, whatever and I'm
- 1:00:19thinking about what is happening here, right?
- 1:00:21And, and I felt this immediate and I had no idea at that point
- 1:00:26that crypto Twitter existed, but I knew, I knew that like what?
- 1:00:30All that money and all those beans, right?
- 1:00:33And all the other people, cuz I own less than 1% of the coins.
- 1:00:36I'm like, there's a lot of people out there that have
- 1:00:39bought this coin that like something's, you know, like I, I
- 1:00:43felt this like magical feeling like the money didn't matter.
- 1:00:48OK. And that's life changing money
- 1:00:51for me and my family. But like the money matters.
- 1:00:54But it didn't matter nearly as much as what I felt like this
- 1:00:58community of people out there that I knew like, like each one
- 1:01:02of those beans besides the one I own are owned by people.
- 1:01:06And that was the first time that I think I kind of felt it.
- 1:01:09And then what really changed for me was when I discovered that
- 1:01:12there was this thing called crypto Twitter because I had no
- 1:01:15idea. And that was like on on
- 1:01:16Christmas Eve night, we were our Christmas night, we were driving
- 1:01:19home from Susie's mom's house and Susie was just laughing
- 1:01:24hysterically and she had a good amount of wine, but none the
- 1:01:27less she was in the car laughing.
- 1:01:28I'm like, what's so funny? She's like, you're not going to
- 1:01:30believe what these people are, are, are saying about you on
- 1:01:34Twitter and and you know, and I'm like, what do you mean?
- 1:01:36She goes look, because I think Royal, there's a guy named Royal
- 1:01:40who's. Royal Royal is a legend.
- 1:01:42He's a legend. Yeah, and he, he made this AI
- 1:01:44video of me stripping down to my tighty whitey's and jumping over
- 1:01:48the ping pong table behind me. And I was like, and then I was
- 1:01:51like, wow. And then I and then I, and then
- 1:01:54I began the journey of like realizing like these are real
- 1:01:58people all over the world, right?
- 1:02:00That are, that are real. And that's the magic.
- 1:02:02So hey, thanks, man. Hey, guess what?
- 1:02:05Congratulations. It's now January 2nd.
- 1:02:07Unless I have it wrong in Australia.

- 1:03:45the space coming together and, and doing this kind of stuff
- 1:03:48that we're doing now. So that's just a visual
- 1:03:50representation of it. Just shouting at other

- 1:04:31And, and it just happened that that coincided with a, a family
- 1:04:35space we did with the PFP and the, and the long neck legends
- 1:04:39community. And, and that just shouts out
- 1:04:41all other communities that I've, that I've been a part of too,
