- 0:00Speaker 1: Remember yesterday we were talking about tell us the crime
- 0:04Speaker 1: you committed, and we're gonna guess whether you went to jail.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Or got arrested or not. Yes, it was a fabulous segment.
- 0:09Speaker 1: And I read a comment from Chris. So Chris is
- 0:13Speaker 1: on the labe right now to tell us his story.
- 0:15Speaker 3: What up, Chris?
- 0:17Speaker 1: How you do?
- 0:18Speaker 4: So?
- 0:18Speaker 2: What was your story?
- 0:20Speaker 5: Well?
- 0:20Speaker 3: I was at a bar and I met this girl
- 0:25Speaker 3: and the bar is getting ready close, so we decided
- 0:27Speaker 3: to go to an after hours party, so we left
- 0:32Speaker 3: went to Circle K. When he pulled up at Circle K,
- 0:34Speaker 3: there was a cop car on the side of the building.
- 0:38Speaker 3: So she gets out to go get some beer. But
- 0:41Speaker 3: before she gets out, she licks in her purse, pulls
- 0:44Speaker 3: out a bottle of beer gives it to me. I
- 0:46Speaker 3: didn't know she had taken it from the bar, so
- 0:50Speaker 3: she goes in the store. Two seconds later, I heard
- 0:53Speaker 3: a knock on my window. Look down. The cops are there.
- 0:57Speaker 3: They look at me. I'm so, I'm sitting behind the
- 0:59Speaker 3: wheel with an open beer, and they made me get
- 1:04Speaker 3: out and do the sobriety test and everything jump out
- 1:08Speaker 3: the beer. Meanwhile, the second cop goes in and keeps
- 1:13Speaker 3: her busy so it hits to a clops switch can't
- 1:16Speaker 3: buy beer. But they didn't arrest me or anything.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Okay, well, we were gonna guess arrested. We're gonna guess
- 1:24Speaker 2: that you didn't get arrested.
- 1:27Speaker 6: I'm gonna also say he did not get arrested.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Every wind, I think I get a prize from Chris's
- 1:33Speaker 7: house since we guessed.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Her out, all right, Chris, Yeah, those kind of a
- 1:39Speaker 3: but in the other end, in the other end, you
- 1:42Speaker 3: know that can happen. They ended right there. I took
- 1:45Speaker 3: her home and said, created I don't want to deal
- 1:46Speaker 3: with it.
- 1:47Speaker 7: That's a great line, instead of in the end, everybody
- 1:49Speaker 7: was fine, he said.
- 1:50Speaker 2: In the other end, in the other end, don't up
- 1:53Speaker 2: your butt, don't put every morning I wake up. But no,
- 2:00Speaker 2: don't go bananas.
- 2:01Speaker 8: But I've told you several times before, my blood is
- 2:06Speaker 8: not a banana door.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Is this your favorite song since the theme song from Landman?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Right right up right up there? I got to tell
- 2:14Speaker 1: you what my favorite audio clip of the day is.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I can play this for you right now. I saw
- 2:17Speaker 1: this in It's a TV show called Good Day Detroit,
- 2:20Speaker 1: and I guess they were talking about there's this show
- 2:23Speaker 1: on Netflix.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I cameber.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It was called Loan Survivor or somebody lives in Australia
- 2:27Speaker 1: by themselves and.
- 2:28Speaker 2: They have to loan the last house something like that.
- 2:30Speaker 1: No, No, it's like a reality show and the guy
- 2:33Speaker 1: and the guy had to I guess he was deciding
- 2:35Speaker 1: whether he was going to eat a beaver an animal, right,
- 2:39Speaker 1: whether he was gonna do it, And this is what
- 2:40Speaker 1: happened live TV. So like the double entendre is here.
- 2:44Speaker 1: We don't need to get into it, but that's what's
- 2:45Speaker 1: happening now.
- 2:47Speaker 6: They're ice fishing because everything is frozen.
- 2:49Speaker 9: And you're looking for fat, and the beaver.
- 2:53Speaker 6: The beaver is the beaber is.
- 2:55Speaker 10: The most sought after.
- 2:56Speaker 4: It is.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Right, would you do you think you could eat beaber?
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's fat? And then it's.
- 3:15Speaker 9: It seems like he was getting the untonsured.
- 3:18Speaker 2: She wasn't. She wasn't, she wasn't.
- 3:20Speaker 9: Just going deeper into the.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Entre, no idea.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Okay, you know there's a game we play on the
- 3:27Speaker 1: show Reverse the Verse, right where we'll play a song backwards.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You have to guess there's a guy doing reverse the
- 3:34Speaker 1: Verse live. So I'm gonna play for I'll tell you
- 3:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna play for you, and then I want to
- 3:39Speaker 1: see if you can guess what song is. But let
- 3:41Speaker 1: it go first before you guess. Okay, So he's playing
- 3:43Speaker 1: it on the guitar. He's like, practice it backwards.
- 3:47Speaker 11: So.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Yu yup, yarkive yes?
- 4:01Speaker 12: Then what.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Okay, that's very difficult. I have no idea what's funny singing?
- 4:14Speaker 2: And he guesses, Man, no, I don't have it. I should.
- 4:16Speaker 2: He's got a great voice. Mendes song.
- 4:19Speaker 1: No, that's a good guess, very good guess. But no, okay, uh,
- 4:23Speaker 1: maybe it's Shawn Mendes before he was Shawn Mendes. This
- 4:26Speaker 1: is This is an an older song, but we all
- 4:30Speaker 1: know it.
- 4:30Speaker 2: No, no, no no.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And then after we do this, I wonder if that's
- 4:33Speaker 1: something you could do rich into our guitar player. But
- 4:35Speaker 1: here is the song that this guy did one no we.
- 4:42Speaker 6: Let you know, stry.
- 4:57Speaker 13: You well.
- 4:58Speaker 6: That is supreme talent right there.
- 5:00Speaker 7: That is amazing because because I sang it backwards and
- 5:03Speaker 7: played it backwards, that's what it's forwards. So I thought
- 5:07Speaker 7: he may be cheated and just played it forwards and
- 5:09Speaker 7: then just reversed it like we do on our game.
- 5:11Speaker 7: But he learned it backwards. That's amazing, very talented.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Can you do it?
- 5:18Speaker 4: You can do it?
- 5:18Speaker 11: I will.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I will try for sure. Have you by tomorrow, but sure,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I'll try by tomorrow. You could do anything you put
- 5:26Speaker 2: your mind. That's true. You can.
- 5:29Speaker 4: So.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Matthew McConaughey's in the news and it's kind of cool.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I want to plant I want to I want to
- 5:33Speaker 1: plant a seat in you, guys. I double love Dondre No.
- 5:38Speaker 1: A song changed his life. He says, there's a song
- 5:41Speaker 1: that changed his life.
- 5:43Speaker 2: That thought, is it?
- 5:44Speaker 1: And as soon as I heard that, I thought, I
- 5:45Speaker 1: wonder if there's a song that has changed my life
- 5:47Speaker 1: and the kind of I kind of do have that.
- 5:48Speaker 2: So here's here's the story.
- 5:49Speaker 1: This song made him stop smoking pots.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I don't know, not yet and I quit smoking. Way
- 6:01Speaker 2: we used to be, you could roll the joint smoke.
- 6:03Speaker 14: It passed around, everyone giggles, gets the munchies, and maybe
- 6:06Speaker 14: runs off and tries to get some snuggle time. Well,
- 6:08Speaker 14: then it started getting this hydroponic stuff where like one
- 6:11Speaker 14: token people, the subplots could become unmanageable and people would implode.
- 6:15Speaker 14: In this particular night, I was headed to my own
- 6:18Speaker 14: birthday party before I go on Buddy Hampton's joint goes Here, Man,
- 6:21Speaker 14: it was not like the way I'd smoked before. I
- 6:24Speaker 14: listened to Janet Jackson's best The Way Love Goes twenty
- 6:27Speaker 14: four times a row, And when I finally got out
- 6:29Speaker 14: of the car to go into my birthday party, no
- 6:32Speaker 14: one was in there because it was over.
- 6:34Speaker 2: They had all left because I sat in the freaking
- 6:36Speaker 2: car listen, listen to.
- 6:38Speaker 14: That's the Way Love Goes twenty four times because I
- 6:41Speaker 14: thought that at.
- 6:41Speaker 6: The time that was more important than going to my
- 6:43Speaker 6: own birthday party.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That's the way they look, That's the way I love goes,
- 6:47Speaker 2: the way to look, That's the way love goes. So
- 6:50Speaker 2: changed his life? Any songs here, well, I mean that's different.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I know which song changed your life?
- 6:57Speaker 8: H Jaye, Well, don't put bananas in my back. I
- 7:01Speaker 8: banana's in my but I've told you several times before.
- 7:05Speaker 8: My bod is not a banana door.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Any songs change your life? Eight seven, seven nine three
- 7:12Speaker 2: seven one o four seven Rich you man, this is.
- 7:15Speaker 6: A tough one.
- 7:16Speaker 7: I've been thinking about this because many songs changed my life.
- 7:19Speaker 7: But I think it's the first ever rock song that
- 7:23Speaker 7: I heard because you know. I grew up my dad
- 7:24Speaker 7: listened to the news, and my mom was in a
- 7:26Speaker 7: choir and she listened to either show tunes or she
- 7:31Speaker 7: listened to either show tunes or like Bible music. So
- 7:35Speaker 7: the first time I heard a rock song, I can
- 7:38Speaker 7: remember what it was, and I'm looking for it right now.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Come on.
- 7:42Speaker 7: It's We Will Rock You by Queen. It's the first
- 7:44Speaker 7: song I heard, and I'm like, what is that. I
- 7:47Speaker 7: was probably five years old and I was gone, and
- 7:50Speaker 7: I was addicted to the radio. At that point, I
- 7:52Speaker 7: told my dad I need to find a radio, so
- 7:55Speaker 7: he found me a little transistor radio and I found
- 7:57Speaker 7: a rock station on the radio.
- 8:00Speaker 2: But this was it.
- 8:01Speaker 7: This is the first time I heard this right here,
- 8:04Speaker 7: right there, that moment right there, I'm like, I'm.
- 8:06Speaker 6: In it's a good song.
- 8:10Speaker 12: It is.
- 8:11Speaker 6: So it made me want to play guitar, and it
- 8:13Speaker 6: made me want.
- 8:14Speaker 7: To be on the radio, make a big nine. And
- 8:18Speaker 7: I still have the same job.
- 8:19Speaker 6: And you did both those things.
- 8:21Speaker 2: You play guitar and are on the radio.
- 8:23Speaker 1: So I just want to know if any songs changed
- 8:25Speaker 1: your life, let us know. We'll find it and played
- 8:27Speaker 1: for you.
- 8:27Speaker 2: You said you had one, I do it went stupid,
- 8:29Speaker 2: It's okay, sure it anyway.
- 8:31Speaker 12: Sure.
- 8:31Speaker 2: So when I was a kid, my dad like told
- 8:36Speaker 2: me to watch this movie. It was on TV.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It was called West Side Story. It's been remade already
- 8:40Speaker 1: a couple times. So there's a song on that movie
- 8:44Speaker 1: soundtrack called Something's Coming, And I've always used that song
- 8:48Speaker 1: to motivate me that something was coming, because something's coming.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, but it is gonna
- 8:54Speaker 1: be great. And I've always played that in my life,
- 8:57Speaker 1: like before I met my wife, before I had kids,
- 9:00Speaker 1: it's before I got this job. It was always the
- 9:01Speaker 1: theme song for me. There's no way it's in this system.
- 9:03Speaker 1: There's no it's not in here. But it's like one
- 9:07Speaker 1: of those songs you could sing it. Oh, of course
- 9:09Speaker 1: I could sing let's hear it.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Who knows? Could be there's something to do any day?
- 9:15Speaker 4: I will know right away soon as it shows. I
- 9:20Speaker 4: gotta feeling there's a miracle. Do gonna come true? Come
- 9:22Speaker 4: into me?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Could it be? Yes?
- 9:26Speaker 1: It could something's come in something good. I would be
- 9:28Speaker 1: like Wilfare on that. No, No, I can't. I can't.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Something that's coming. I don't know what it is, but
- 9:38Speaker 2: it is gonna be Great the Corner or whistling down
- 9:48Speaker 2: the river. It was a great song anyway, nothing Peyton
- 9:52Speaker 2: got it. You don't have a song that changed your life.
- 9:56Speaker 6: I feel like have changed my life.
- 9:58Speaker 15: I feel like for me, I remember that very first
- 10:00Speaker 15: song that I was like, oh yeah, I think like
- 10:03Speaker 15: R and B Slow Jams, Alicia Keys Fallen. I was like,
- 10:06Speaker 15: who is this angel from above? Also like the first
- 10:09Speaker 15: time I ever heard Justin Bieber, like, come.
- 10:11Speaker 6: On so good, chill still chills, change your life?
- 10:26Speaker 2: What did you do well?
- 10:28Speaker 15: I just this song specifically. I played basketball my whole
- 10:31Speaker 15: entire life. This is the song that would get me
- 10:34Speaker 15: game ready. But before my state championships, I would say games.
- 10:40Speaker 6: It's makes you say, girl got one?
- 10:49Speaker 9: Okay, it would be Sultan Peppa Shoop.
- 10:51Speaker 6: And I'll tell you why.
- 10:53Speaker 9: Because I was in middle school and there was a
- 10:57Speaker 9: piece of mail that came for me from BMG and
- 11:01Speaker 9: it said pick ten CDs for one cent.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I was like, I got a cent.
- 11:06Speaker 9: I picked ten CDs. This was one of them. It
- 11:09Speaker 9: was the first one that arrived, so it was like
- 11:11Speaker 9: the first one I ever got. And I was like,
- 11:13Speaker 9: there's no way that I should be allowed to do this.
- 11:17Speaker 6: When I'm in middle school.
- 11:17Speaker 16: I don't have a credit card.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I don't know why they sent me.
- 11:19Speaker 9: The CDs, but they did somehow, and it was the
- 11:21Speaker 9: first time I was like I could do things, like
- 11:23Speaker 9: I could do whatever I want.
- 11:24Speaker 15: Oh, that's epic.
- 11:26Speaker 2: What's funny about that? You just said. You listen in
- 11:28Speaker 2: the news today that company is out of business.
- 11:32Speaker 8: Are today?
- 11:33Speaker 2: Took them out on Columbia Records. They used to say,
- 11:36Speaker 2: pick what ten CDs?
- 11:37Speaker 16: Yeah, music stirs you up, phone up, the music shakes
- 11:44Speaker 16: you out. The Columbia Records and Tape Club you get
- 11:48Speaker 16: a lot more music.
- 11:53Speaker 2: It's in. You are done. They are They've closed.
- 11:56Speaker 9: There's no reason anyone should be able to do that.
- 12:00Speaker 7: I gotta tell you, I'm surprised they lasted all the
- 12:02Speaker 7: way In the twenty twenty.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Six Brian, you got a song to change your life?
- 12:06Speaker 5: Hey hey, hey, yeah, hey, thanks for having me on.
- 12:10Speaker 5: So my daughter was born to almost two years ago,
- 12:14Speaker 5: and the ob I had a whole playlist of music
- 12:16Speaker 5: going the whole time. My wife was in there and
- 12:19Speaker 5: it was awesome, and she basically was like Obie had said,
- 12:22Speaker 5: you know, this is just going to come out, so
- 12:24Speaker 5: it makes you put on the song that you want
- 12:25Speaker 5: so First Day of.
- 12:26Speaker 6: My Life by Bright Eyes.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I put that on, and then my daughter was born.
- 12:31Speaker 2: So that song, I don't know that song? How's it go?
- 12:35Speaker 2: First Life?
- 12:38Speaker 5: Almost exactly like that?
- 12:42Speaker 2: Thanks Brian, Thanks you get put on some good stuff. Melissa,
- 12:45Speaker 2: you got a song the change your life?
- 12:48Speaker 1: No, but I was just going to help you out.
- 12:50Speaker 10: That song that you were seeing was from West Side
- 12:53Speaker 10: Story called Something's Coming.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yes, Yes, are you a fan of that boy?
- 12:58Speaker 10: John Jay?
- 12:59Speaker 2: Well, thank you if you'd like to do more, I'm
- 13:02Speaker 2: sure every wou'd like to hear it. The most beautiful
- 13:05Speaker 2: sound I ever I do.
- 13:09Speaker 13: I do have something.
- 13:10Speaker 10: My mom always hated Maria, the song Maria.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I just remember that.
- 13:14Speaker 10: I don't know if that changed her life.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I think that.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I always like, if I ever had a daughter, I
- 13:22Speaker 1: wanted to name her Maria because that song. And then
- 13:24Speaker 1: Brooks and done, mamurrio. Thanks Melissa for calling in. Bye guys,
- 13:31Speaker 1: Bye Quinn, good morning. You got a song that changed
- 13:33Speaker 1: the morning?
- 13:34Speaker 4: Guy?
- 13:35Speaker 12: Yes, it's a It's a song by Afrojacket's called ten
- 13:38Speaker 12: feet Tall. When of my mom was in a nursing home,
- 13:42Speaker 12: I used to play that song because me and my
- 13:43Speaker 12: mom had like the most incredible relationship, and she always
- 13:47Speaker 12: used to like pump me up and make me feel
- 13:48Speaker 12: like I was like the best.
- 13:50Speaker 11: Person in this whole entire world. And so when I
- 13:53Speaker 11: would go visit her at the nursing home, I would
- 13:55Speaker 11: play that song and get myself pumped up. It's like,
- 13:57Speaker 11: it's like one of the most incredible songs, and it
- 13:59Speaker 11: just beat my relationship with.
- 14:01Speaker 6: My momin.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Little man's will that.
- 14:09Speaker 6: First try, it's so hard. That's Afrojack.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I didn't know we had. Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Yeah, kind of feels a little Christian rocky. Yeah, it's cool.
- 14:25Speaker 11: Like she would always tell me like there's there's nothing
- 14:27Speaker 11: I can do, And when I would listen to that song,
- 14:29Speaker 11: I just remind me that, you know, I'm stepping on buildings,
- 14:32Speaker 11: cars and boats because she makes me feel like I'm
- 14:33Speaker 11: ten feet tall.
- 14:35Speaker 2: That's beautiful, dude. Well, thanks for sharing that, Quinn.
- 14:40Speaker 11: All right, guys, you guys have a great day.
- 14:42Speaker 13: Thank you so much.
- 14:43Speaker 2: It was an Afrojack sing because I got high.
- 14:44Speaker 7: You're just thinking of afro Man, Okay, afro Jack a
- 14:48Speaker 7: little more, a little more eadio?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Wow, same guy? Did Angel Angel? What's the song that
- 14:55Speaker 2: like changed your life.
- 14:58Speaker 13: The reason by hupa stank why they allowed me to
- 15:04Speaker 13: forgive myself for a lot of my mistakes in my gush,
- 15:07Speaker 13: like there's a lot of things that I just was
- 15:10Speaker 13: holding on to And after hearing that, I was like, wow,
- 15:14Speaker 13: that you know that was like written for me.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Not a perfect person. What is there a mistake for
- 15:20Speaker 2: me that you can share with us?
- 15:24Speaker 13: Just a whole bunch of stuff that I wish I
- 15:26Speaker 13: would have never done, would have never gotten into.
- 15:29Speaker 2: There's a high school play he wasn't really proud of.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Like for me, this song has changed my life because
- 15:35Speaker 1: I wish I wouldn't have sang Something's come in on
- 15:37Speaker 1: the radio.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you should have chosen Huba Steak. That's cool.
- 15:42Speaker 7: This is also the only song I know from Huba
- 15:45Speaker 7: Steak fame here, but that kicks up some memories there.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so now you've forgiven yourself, right Angel? Yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 1: music is powerful, Chills, Music is powerful.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Angel. I'm glad you called that. Oh yeah, thanks, have
- 16:07Speaker 2: a great day. Thanks you say in high school player
- 16:11Speaker 2: that he did.
- 16:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I've been really proud of him. He forgave himself
- 16:14Speaker 7: for that. He took the lead street card Desire and
- 16:18Speaker 7: he shouldn't have You should have played a lesson.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Part I put on. I had a pair of skinny
- 16:22Speaker 2: jeans one time. I forgive myself.
- 16:23Speaker 8: Yeah, guys, what guys, I gotta admit, I'm surprised that
- 16:28Speaker 8: I put a song up that I know changed Kyle's life.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I don't know if you want to.
- 16:34Speaker 5: Surprise.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm just surprised you didn't bring it up already.
- 16:38Speaker 7: She went on TLC. She forgot about the original original
- 16:43Speaker 7: purveyors are cool.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, Cavin, is there a song that changed your life?
- 16:56Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 16:56Speaker 17: Yeah, there there is a song. It's called Cover Me
