- 0:03Viewer discretion is advised. If anyone ever tells you you're
- 0:10not allowed to read a book, you should immediately read that
- 0:14book. For centuries, A mysterious
- 0:18manuscript known as the Book of Enoch remained hidden from the
- 0:21world, excluded from the Bible, labeled as heresy, and nearly
- 0:26forgotten altogether. Discovered again in the late
- 0:291700s after centuries of obscurity, this ancient text
- 0:33contains vivid accounts of beings known as watchers, giants
- 0:37known as the Nephilim, and extraordinary journeys beyond
- 0:40the earth itself. Their children were giants,
- 0:43their legacy chaos. But were these the monsters of
- 0:47myth or the offspring of a forgotten age?
- 0:50While some dismiss it as mythology, others believe it
- 0:53documents real historical events that early religious authorities
- 0:56preferred to keep hidden. Some people will tell you this
- 0:59book is pure myth and that you should just ignore it.
- 1:03Others will swear by it, convinced it tells the real
- 1:07reason the earth was flooded and destroyed.
- 1:12All depends on who you ask. If this book is just a piece of
- 1:17fantasy fan fiction, then why did the church want it removed
- 1:21so badly? Every ancient myth starts to
- 1:24make sense the moment you stop treating it like.
- 1:27Fiction. Call them angels, call them
- 1:30aliens. I don't think they cared what we
- 1:32named them. The only thing you need to
- 1:35remember is if the truth was harmless, it wouldn't need to be
- 1:41buried. The.
- 2:36The text we call One Enoch started life in the southern
- 2:39Levant, Judea or Samaria, sometime between about 300 and
- 2:44100 BC. It was composed in Aramaic, the
- 2:47street language of Second Temple Judah, and later copied into
- 2:51Gaya's classical Ethiopian, which is why the complete
- 2:54version survived only in Ethiopia.
- 2:57The Dead Sea Scrolls prove it circulated at Qumran by 200 BC,
- 3:02so it was already considered important by a separatist
- 3:04priestly community before the New Testament era.
- 3:08No single author signed it. Scholars see at least 5 distinct
- 3:12booklets, Book of Watchers, Book of Parables, Astronomical Book,
- 3:17Dream Visions, Epistle of Enoch that were stitched together over
- 3:22a century or so. Each section looks like the work
- 3:25of a different priest scribe group, all claiming to preserve
- 3:28the testimony of the patriarch Enoch 7th from Adam.
- 3:33The stories themselves are older than the pages.
- 3:36References in Genesis, Jubilees and even older Mesopotamian
- 3:41flood lore hint that a pre exilic oral cycle, possibly
- 3:44second Millennium BC, was already circulating about a sky
- 3:48taken patriarch who learned the secrets of heaven.
- 3:51By the time scribes finally pressed stylist to parchment,
- 3:55they were capturing material that had been recited around
- 3:57campfires for well over 1000 years.
- 4:00Genesis 5 gives Enoch a single tantalizing line.
- 4:05And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.
- 4:10Genesis 6 follows with the cryptic episode of the sons of
- 4:14God, the daughters of men, and the birth of giants.
- 4:18One Enoch plugs itself right into that gap, expanding the one
- 4:22verse disappearance into a full narrative of watchers, hybrids,
- 4:25and celestial journeys. They were called the fallen
- 4:30ones, the giants. Genesis 64 says it's straight.
- 4:35There were giants in the earth in those days when the sons of
- 4:38God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bear children
- 4:41to them, a bloodline, a hybrid lineage.
- 4:45And now to you. The holy ones of heaven.
- 4:50The souls of men make their suit you.
- 4:55See what Azazel have done who have thought all unrighteousness
- 4:59on earth and revealed to the children of men the eternal
- 5:02secrets which were in heaven which man was striving to learn.
- 5:07Semjazzar also have taught enchantments, root cuttings,
- 5:10mania and astrology, policy makers, and the 12
- 5:14constellations and the signs of the Zodiac and the months and
- 5:17the weeks and the years. You saw what they saw in that.
- 5:21They transgressed Father's command.
- 5:24Bind Semjazzar and Azazel in the pits of the earth and cast them
- 5:27Into Darkness and deliver them into the hand of the angels of
- 5:31chastisement until the day of judgment.
- 5:34And afterward I came unto them, and they were all sitting down
- 5:38weeping in Abel's jail, with their faces covered.
- 5:43And I recounted before them all the visions which I had seen in
- 5:47sleep, and I began to speak the words of righteousness, and to
- 5:51reprimand the heavenly watchers. The Book of Enoch is a problem.
- 5:56A problem for religion, a problem for science, a problem
- 6:00for anyone trying to hold together the official timeline
- 6:03of human history. It talks about the descent of
- 6:06powerful beings from the sky. Not in metaphor, Literally, it
- 6:10names them. It says where they landed.
- 6:13It tells you what they did, what they taught, and what happened
- 6:17because of it. It's specific.
- 6:20It reads like someone trying to document contact with beings who
- 6:23operated under a chain of command, had advanced knowledge,
- 6:27and broke the rules by giving that knowledge to early humans.
- 6:31200 angels, referred to as the Watchers or Erin and Aramaic,
- 6:35were assigned to observe humanity.
- 6:38Their leader was Samjaza, and his second in command was
- 6:41Azazel. At some point, the Watchers made
- 6:44a decision. They were attracted to human
- 6:47women. They conspired together and
- 6:49swore a blood oath. They would descend to Earth,
- 6:52take wives for themselves and father children.
- 6:56They came down on Mount Hermon, made their agreement, and began
- 6:59the plan. By doing this, they broke divine
- 7:03law. Once on Earth, the Watchers not
- 7:06only mated with humans, but they taught them things they weren't
- 7:09supposed to know. Each Watcher brought forbidden
- 7:12knowledge. Azazel taught humans how to
- 7:15forge weapons, armor, and mirrors.
- 7:18Semjaza taught enchantments and root cutting, sorcery and
- 7:21herbalism. Others taught astrology, the
- 7:24movement of the stars, lunar cycles, signs and omens.
- 7:29Essentially, they gave humanity tools of technology, warfare and
- 7:33occult practice, tools that accelerated civilization but
- 7:36also led to corruption, violence and imbalance.
- 7:40The children produced by the Watchers and human women were
- 7:42called the Nephilim giants. Dangerous, violent and
- 7:47uncontrollable, They devoured human food supplies, then turned
- 7:51to humans themselves. Their existence threw Earth into
- 7:55chaos, according to Enoch. They also corrupted animals,
- 7:59possibly through hybrid breeding or genetic manipulation.
- 8:03The cries of humanity reached the higher heavens.
- 8:06The archangels Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel intervene.
- 8:12God commands them to act. The Nephilim are to be destroyed
- 8:16and the Watchers are to be punished severely.
- 8:19The giants are killed, many by each other, others by the flood
- 8:24that follows. The Watchers are bound in chains
- 8:27and cast into the abyss, often interpreted as the underworld or
- 8:31a subterranean prison. Azazel is singled out.
- 8:35His name becomes tied to sin itself in later traditions.
- 8:39Enoch, the human who witnessed it all, is taken by the angels.
- 8:43He documents the whole saga, delivers warnings, and is then
- 8:47taken into the heavens. The story ends with the earth
- 8:50cleansed. The Watchers bound, the giants
- 8:53dead, and humanity given another chance.
- 9:06The Bible calls them the Sons of God, but who were they?
- 9:12Ancient Mesopotamian texts describe the Anunnaki.
- 9:16Within their ranks was a faction known as the Igiji Watchers.
- 9:22We hear about them again in Numbers 13, when the Israelites
- 9:25scout Canaan. What they find terrifies them.
- 9:28A race of giants, the Anakim, descendants of the Nephilim.
- 9:33We were in our own sight as grasshoppers, the text says, and
- 9:36so we were in theirs. The Israelites encountered not
- 9:39just the Anakim, but also the Zamzumim, the Emim, and other
- 9:44tribes of giants. These were giants, rulers,
- 9:48warriors, architects of fortified cities.
- 9:52And every time the pattern repeats, they're wiped out.
- 9:56No prisoners, no warnings. Total destruction.
- 10:01Yahweh doesn't just command conquest, he commands
- 10:05eradication. But the question is why?
- 10:09Why was it so important to erase this story completely?
- 10:24What kind of knowledge gets buried for thousands of years?
- 10:28And who decides what truths are too dangerous to preserve?
- 10:39By the 2nd century BC, Enoch was already in wide use.
- 10:44It was highly respected by Jewish sects like the Essenes,
- 10:47who preserved multiple copies at Qumran, found centuries later
- 10:52among the Dead Sea Scrolls. That makes it older than much of
- 10:55the Bible. Early Christians knew it too.
- 10:59The Epistle of Jude, written in the 1st century AD, quotes it
- 11:03directly from Enoch 19. It was citation, but that
- 11:09changed in the 3rd and 4th centuries AD when Christianity
- 11:13aligned itself with Rome. Once the empire legalized and
- 11:17then adopted Christianity, doctrine became political and
- 11:22the Book of Enoch didn't fit. Around 363AD, the Council of
- 11:28Laodicea listed the books approved for public reading.
- 11:31Enoch was left out by 397 AD. The Council of Carthage helped
- 11:37finalize the Canon used by the Latin Church, and Enoch was
- 11:42nowhere in it. Key figures like Jerome,
- 11:45Augustine, and Athanasius all excluded it.
- 11:48It was considered too strange, too heretical, or too dangerous.
- 11:53Meanwhile, in Judaism, Enoch was also rejected.
- 11:58After the fall of the Second Temple in 70 AD, Jewish
- 12:02leadership shifted to Jovna. There, the foundations of the
- 12:06modern Hebrew Bible, the Masoretic Text, were set in
- 12:09motion. Enoch didn't survive that
- 12:12process either. By the 5th century, the Book of
- 12:16Enoch had vanished from the West.
- 12:18Only Ethiopia kept it. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tiwahedo
- 12:22Church, one of the oldest Christian communities on earth,
- 12:26preserved Enoch in their Canon. Their version, written in gaze,
- 12:31remained untouched for over 1000 years.
- 12:36It wasn't until 1773, when Scottish explorer James Bruce
- 12:41returned from Ethiopia with copies of the manuscript, that
- 12:45the West saw the Book of Enoch again.
- 12:49Scholars were stunned. What they thought was a myth
- 12:52turned out to be real and older than much of the Bible itself.
- 13:12Ethiopia was one of the very first regions on earth to adopt
- 13:16Christianity. The Kingdom of Axum, one of the
- 13:19great powers of the ancient world, made Christianity its
- 13:23state religion around the year 330 AD, long before most of
- 13:28Europe. But the seeds were planted even
- 13:30earlier. According to tradition,
- 13:33Christianity came to Ethiopia through a Syrian Christian named
- 13:37Fermentius, who survived A shipwreck and rose to prominence
- 13:41in the Axemite court. Eventually he was appointed
- 13:45Bishop by the Patriarch of Alexandria.
- 13:49The Ethiopian church didn't emerge from Rome.
- 13:52It came from Alexandria, the same city that housed one of the
- 13:56largest Jewish populations in the ancient world.
- 14:00It was a hotbed of mystical texts, apocalyptic writings and
- 14:04early Christian experimentation. That's likely how the Book of
- 14:08Enoch arrived in Ethiopia, carried South by Egyptian Jews
- 14:13and early Christians sometime between 300 BC and 100 AD
- 14:18through trade and religious migration, they canonized it
- 14:22while the rest of the Christian world rejected it.
- 14:25It became part of the Ethiopian Bible, copied and studied in
- 14:29gays, where it remains to this day.
- 14:34A Kingdom. With ties to.
- 14:36Solomonic bloodlines preserving a forbidden.
- 14:39Book about. Angels and hybrid giants
- 14:42following a version of Christianity untouched by Rome.
- 14:46Ethiopian Christianity is steeped in apocalyptic texts.
- 14:49The Book of Enoch fits perfectly in that world, because in
- 14:53Ethiopia it was never lost. The Second Book of Enoch didn't
- 15:20survive in Hebrew or Greek like other ancient texts.
- 15:23It was preserved only an Old Church Slavonic, tucked away in
- 15:27the archives of Eastern Orthodox monasteries for over 1000 years.
- 15:32That alone is strange. Scholars believe it was written
- 15:36in the 1st century AD, possibly even earlier.
- 15:40Some argue it came from Alexandria, where Jewish and
- 15:44Egyptian traditions were already merging into something more
- 15:48mystical. But the version we have today
- 15:50comes from Slavic manuscripts passed down through the Eastern
- 15:55Church. In this text, Enoch is taken
- 15:58through 10 heavens, guided by glowing beings, shown the
- 16:02mechanics of creation, time, judgement, and cosmic order.
- 16:08He sees angelic forges, celestial cities, and vast
- 16:12storehouses of knowledge. He's given a tour of the
- 16:15structure behind reality. It describes the Grigory, or
- 16:19Watchers, as a fallen order. It talks about the creation of
- 16:23angels. And at the end, Enoch has
- 16:26changed, transformed into a luminous being and given the
- 16:30name Metatron. No mainstream religious
- 16:34tradition kept this book. Not Judaism, not the Catholic
- 16:39Church. It didn't make the cut at any
- 16:41major council. But it survived, barely copied
- 16:45by monks who may not have fully understood what they were
- 16:47preserving. If you read Enoch through the
- 17:09lens of ancient alien theory, it suddenly makes a lot more sense,
- 17:14because nearly every ancient culture tells the same story
- 17:18with different names. In Mesopotamia, they were the
- 17:21Anunnaki who descended and mingled with humans.
- 17:25Some texts say they created us, others say they ruled over us.
- 17:31Either way, they weren't from Earth.
- 17:34Alongside them were the Igigi, the watchers of the heavens.
- 17:38Likely a lower rank, maybe a working class of Anunnaki.
- 17:42Then you've got the AB Kalu, part man, part God, often shown
- 17:47with wings and fish like robes being said to have brought
- 17:50knowledge after a flood. The Greeks called them Titans, a
- 17:55race of powerful giants who ruled before the Olympians.
- 17:59Later came the Gigantes, born from the blood of the sky
- 18:03itself. In Norse tradition, they show up
- 18:06as the Jotnar, the Frost giants, ancient enemies of the gods
- 18:11older than time, dwelling beyond the edges of the known world.
- 18:15The Asuras and Hindu tradition? Same thing.
- 18:18Supernatural beings of immense stature and power.
- 18:22Some were noble, some were destructive.
- 18:25All of them were here before our current age.
- 18:28The Daityas, children of the Sky mother deity, were said to
- 18:32possess divine strength and battle against the gods
- 18:34themselves. Ancient Egypt had its own
- 18:37version, the Netru Divine Ones, who ruled before the Pharaohs,
- 18:42then the Shem SU Hor, the followers of Horus.
- 18:47They were remembered as real beings who brought astronomical
- 18:50knowledge and ruled in a forgotten era.
- 18:53In China. They were the Dragon Kings,
- 18:55beings from the sky who came to rule and teach in Japan.
- 18:59The imperial bloodline claimed direct descent from Amaterasu,
- 19:03the sun goddess and the Tengu, celestial birdmen from the
- 19:07heavens. Everywhere you look it's the
- 19:09same giants, star beings, knowledge bringers.
- 19:15The Lakota tell of red haired giants who ruled the plains
- 19:18before the tribes arrived. The Cherokee and Hopi carry the
- 19:21same memory. Sky beings, tall and powerful,
- 19:25who eventually vanished or were destroyed.
- 19:28In South America, the Inca remembered the Viracocha, tall,
- 19:32pale skinned, bearded strangers who brought language,
- 19:36agriculture and architecture, then disappeared into the sea.
- 19:40In Africa, the Dogon knew of the Nomo amphibious beings from the
- 19:44Sirius system and the Zulu. They spoke of the Chitauri
- 19:49serpent like star beings who came from the stars and
- 19:52interfered with early human affairs.
- 19:57Giants, star beings, ancient myths, tales whispered through
- 20:01time, hinting at truths beyond our grasp.
- 20:05It's one thing to learn that giants may have walked the
- 20:07Earth. It's another to realize that
- 20:09someone has spent centuries trying to make sure you never
- 20:12found out. You've probably never heard a
- 20:14sermon about the Book of Enoch. And there's a reason for that,
- 20:18because what it says changes everything.
- 20:30Enoch, This human was chosen by the watcher's God to bear
- 20:34witness to things no one else had seen.
- 20:38I went into the tongues of fire and drew nigh to a large house
- 20:43built of hailstones and it's wall was like a mosaic of
- 20:49hailstones and it's floor of crystal.
- 20:54It's ceiling was like the path of the stars and the lightnings
- 21:00between them. Fiery cherubim.
- 21:04Its portals blazed with fire, and I entered in.
- 21:11It was as hot as fire and as cold as ice.
- 21:16Fear covered me, trembling to cold, and I fell on my face.
- 21:23And lo, a second house, greater than the former, its entire
- 21:29portal open, built of flames of fire.
- 21:34It excelled in splendor and magnificence beyond description.
- 21:40Its floor was a fire. Above it were lightnings and the
- 21:45path of the stars. Its ceiling was flaming fire.
- 21:51I saw therein A lofty throne, crystal like it's roundness,
- 21:58like the shining sun. Cherubim surrounded it.
- 22:04From underneath it came streams of flaming fire.
- 22:09The great glory sat thereon is raiment whiter than snow.
- 22:16None of the angels could behold his face.
- 22:25And so, one day, the angels came for him.
- 22:29These were shining beings, described with wings of fire,
- 22:33voices like rushing water, and faces too bright to look at.
- 22:37They lifted him off the earth, carried into the sky, higher
- 22:41than the clouds, past the stars, until the world itself was gone.
- 22:45Beneath him, Enoch writes about traveling through portals of the
- 22:49heavens, massive crystalline gates in the sky.
- 22:53He describes a place of burning fire, Thrones of light,
- 22:57geometries of glowing stone, and beings who seem to be made of
- 23:01energy itself. This sounds like either a
- 23:04spacecraft or another dimension. He is brought before the Head of
- 23:09Days, a supreme being seated on a radiant throne, surrounded by
- 23:14watchers and archangels. They show Enoch the foundations
- 23:18of the universe. They reveal the mechanisms
- 23:21behind time, weather, stars, and fate itself.
- 23:26He's shown the underworld, the abyss, and the prisons where the
- 23:30fallen watchers are held. He has shown the engines of
- 23:33reality. He returns briefly, glowing,
- 23:37altered, and delivers his warnings.
- 23:40He writes what he saw, and then he vanishes.
- 23:45Taken permanently into heaven, or perhaps permanently off
- 23:48world. The book of Genesis says it like
- 23:51this. Enoch walked with God, and he
- 23:54was not, for God took him. No death, no tomb, no body, just
- 24:00gone. The book of Enoch says the
- 24:04watchers corrupted the animals too.
- 24:07Ancient translators struggled with the meaning, but once you
- 24:10read it through a modern lens it's obvious.
- 24:15This sounds like genetic manipulation, crossbreeding,
- 24:18forced hybridization, bioengineering.
- 24:22Almost every ancient civilization had myths of
- 24:24chimeric beings, part animal, part human.
- 24:28In Egypt, Thoth with the head of an Ibis, Anubis, Jackal headed
- 24:34in Mesopotamia, Lamassu winged bulls with human faces.
- 24:39The Greeks had centaurs, minotaurs, satyrs.
- 24:42India had not a. China had dragon emperors,
- 24:46hybrid guardians, experimental creatures, biological tools,
- 24:51monsters. The earth was corrupted morally
- 24:54and biologically. The Nephilim devoured
- 24:57everything. The hybrids defied nature, and
- 25:00when the cries of earth reached the higher realms, judgement
- 25:03came for the watchers and for the corrupted world they left
- 25:07behind. The hybrids vanished, wiped out.
- 25:11So when people say the flood was about sin or violence, they're
- 25:14only half right. In the late 1500s, a man named
- 25:32Doctor John Dee, mathematician, astrologer, spy for Queen
- 25:38Elizabeth, claimed he had made contact with angels.
- 25:42He said they spoke to him in a language no human had ever
- 25:44heard, a complex, structured tongue they called the true
- 25:49language of heaven. Dee called it Enochian because
- 25:54these beings told him it was the same language once spoken by the
- 25:57prophet Enoch before the Flood. Dee wasn't alone.
- 26:02His assistant, Edward Kelly, served as the medium.
- 26:06During their seances, Kelly would fall into a trance and
- 26:10dictate letters, words, and strange glyphs, often backwards
- 26:15or mirrored. Dee meticulously recorded at
- 26:18all. The result, a massive corpus of
- 26:22so-called angelic communication filled with charts, 19 letter
- 26:27alphabets, magical squares, apocalyptic visions and detailed
- 26:33instructions for summoning the entities behind it all.
- 26:37Modern linguists and codebreakers have studied
- 26:39Anachian. It has internal consistency,
- 26:42syntax, grammar, conjugations, rules that mimic real language.
- 26:48That's not something you make up in trance sessions.
- 26:51This was either a deeply encoded magical system or Dee and Kelly
- 26:56were speaking with something real.
- 26:59Dee believed this language was older than Hebrew, older than
- 27:02Adam, and had been used by angels to create the universe.
- 27:07The Enochian system was later adopted by secret societies,
- 27:11Rosicrucians, Freemasons, the Golden Dawn, Thalamites.
- 27:17It became part of a magical operating system designed not to
- 27:21worship these beings, but to communicate with them through
- 27:24ritual, through sound, through language, as a technology.
- 27:28And this raises the uncomfortable question, did John
- 27:32Dee rediscover a lost system of contact, or did something want
- 27:37to be found? We're taught to believe the Book
- 27:51of Enoch was buried because it was myth, but maybe it was
- 27:54buried because it was real, and maybe someone didn't want
- 27:58humanity to remember the giants. Who decides what history gets
- 28:04taught in school? The rabbit hole feels like
- 28:07there's no bottom yet. Deeper we descend.
- 28:22Imagine a technologically advanced species arriving on
- 28:26Earth long before our cradle civilizations.
- 28:29Their giant offspring, hybrid by nature, might account for the
- 28:33legends of heroes and monsters in every corner of the globe.
- 28:37Their knowledge of metallurgy, astronomy and medicine would
- 28:39have looked like magic to us, passed down in fragmented myths
- 28:43and mysterious artifacts. What if these beings never truly
- 28:47landed on our plane, but slipped through thin spots between
- 28:51worlds? They could perceive time
- 28:53differently, move through realities we can barely
- 28:56conceive, and leave behind glimpses of their presence in
- 28:59dreams, visions, and the coded language of Enoch's parables.
- 29:05Their story became myth because society erased their memory,
- 29:09afraid of what their science could unlock.
- 29:12Could echoes of their lineage still linger in rare genetic
- 29:15markers or unexplained archaeological sites?
- 29:19Whatever the truth, the Book of Enoch dares us to ask bigger
- 29:23questions. Are we alone?
- 29:26Do other intelligences share our universe, visible or unseen?
- 29:31And if So, what will happen when or if they step back into our
- 29:35collective story? Could ancient astronauts be
- 29:38hiding in plain sight? Do interdimensional doorways
- 29:42whisper of other worlds? Or is the real mystery even
- 29:45stranger than we've dared to imagine?
- 30:52The. None.
