Maryland just added a major new state park—Wetipquin Creek State Park—spanning 400 acres of marsh and forest on the Delmarva Peninsula, complete with the historic Long Hill house dating back to the 1700s. Still in development, the park aims to protect nature while honoring deep-rooted history, including the lives of enslaved people, Indigenous communities, and colonial farm life.
