- 0:00Hello, welcome to another episode of the Christian Reef
- 0:04podcast. We have Mr. Dutch deals, back on
- 0:08the show. How you doing my friend?
- 0:11I am doing great good, their goats very good.
- 0:16Xhakum, Alan, ready to rock and roll.
- 0:17Okay, what is that? Exactly.
- 0:20It's literally just chocolate. Milk nice.
- 0:24But it's like, like Rich. So now, the little little
- 0:28cartons so you don't you don't get too much.
- 0:31Yeah, I know. Perfect amount.
- 0:34Do you know what, that reminds me?
- 0:36I mean, is partially related. But when I was living in North
- 0:39living, when I visited the Czech Republic, very briefly one time
- 0:43in New Year's, by the way, if you can, when things go back to
- 0:46normal, go to the Czech Republic, go to Prague, it's
- 0:49absolutely incredible. anyway, I was there and a friend of mine
- 0:53brought me to some sort of I don't know, like a coffee place.
- 0:58It was like a really fancy place, very beautiful
- 1:00architecture from like the 1800s or something.
- 1:03Very beautiful place and we were all just sitting there having
- 1:06coffee and stuff and, you know, just chilling and smoking, which
- 1:10was weird because, you know, it's still as far as I'm aware
- 1:14legal to smoke indoors there, whereas, you know, it wasn't and
- 1:18still isn't in the UK. But anyway, it was, it wasn't
- 1:21the UK like but it was ages ago. Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 1:24Like, it's thank you. Fucking with us and I wasn't it
- 1:2722. 2007 was when it got bad. That's how long ago did I - 7
- 1:322007? Yes, yikes.
- 1:36Wait. So three years after I was born,
- 1:39it was still legal to smoke Jesus.
- 1:42You're young. Oh my God.
- 1:45God! You're making me feel old now,
- 1:46you would. And I was in.
- 1:49I was in high school when you were born.
- 1:54All right. Wait wait, wait to deflate my
- 1:56balloon and make me feel so old Jesus.
- 2:00Anyway, let me get to the story. Let me get to the story.
- 2:02I don't even know how I happen to think.
- 2:04I've come quite a long way, Sam. I'm 16.
- 2:08I've got like that. Yeah, over 100 subscribers and
- 2:11you've got no offense, but you don't know shit.
- 2:14When you're 16, because believe me, I thought I knew everything.
- 2:16When I was 16 and I still don't know everything. 27, you never
- 2:20know anything, you just know a slight bit.
- 2:23Needed before but trust me when you when you're a teenager you
- 2:25don't know shit who says, I know everything, I just know some
- 2:29stuff, some some, some some stuff, but trust me life and
- 2:36pedis compared to you, nothing. Really do I know.
- 2:39Dude that's why I'm saying. I know jack shit, even though
- 2:42I'm 27, I'm older I've lived life.
- 2:44Trust me, you never know it all, you know, like naught point one
- 2:50percent of what there is to know and that's always how it will
- 2:52be. You know?
- 2:53And that's the best thing to do is just keep your mind open.
- 2:56Keep learning. Keep, you know, all that jazz.
- 2:58But anyway, back to the story. Why I brought up in the first
- 3:02place was I was in this coffee place, we were having this hot
- 3:06chocolate and obviously hot chocolate is not really a big
- 3:09deal because, you know, everyone has hot chocolate.
- 3:11It's great. We love it.
- 3:12But in Europe and particularly the Czech Republic, they have
- 3:15this like liquidated liquid chocolate essentially so it's
- 3:19not really hot. Chocolate is just liquid
- 3:21chocolate and it's the Best thing ever like similar what
- 3:27this is because you can have it hot or cold.
- 3:30Like you can put it in the fridge or you can.
- 3:32I mean, I guess you could put it in the microwave but this like
- 3:35it's like in a cafe. You can ask for one am shocked
- 3:39on my land. That is basically this but the
- 3:41hot chocolate version of it. It's amazing.
- 3:44We cream. It's the best someone if you
- 3:47rather rather than those like Dinky Dinky little sachets used
- 3:50to get back in England. Yeah.
- 3:53I mean they they just treat us that how does how the hot
- 3:56chocolate is. What I've always thought that
- 3:58we've got this shit end of this product side of things.
- 4:02Yeah, no seriously. Like every time I go on holiday
- 4:04anyway, in Europe in America especially like I always look
- 4:07come back to England and go. It's not that we don't have
- 4:10anything. It's that we have a very limited
- 4:12Supply and the stuff that we are given isn't the best.
- 4:15It's like, yeah. You know, like if you look at
- 4:18like the American stuff that you can buy in stores here in
- 4:21England, as, you know, So right, but it doesn't even skim the
- 4:24surface of the good stuff that's available in America.
- 4:27We've got live. But if you want, if you want to
- 4:28make yourself feel better over here in Europe, we have nothing
- 4:32to do with Walkers will have layers.
- 4:35Yeah. But like layers of snow one
- 4:36penny. It's the same fucking crisps.
- 4:39We. And we also don't have anything
- 4:41Cadbury's. We don't have Crunchies.
- 4:43We don't know who dimed bars. We don't have big, massive, have
- 4:46rebars Do you mean daim bars? Then bars, I think we kind of
- 4:51have them bars but you have to wait a lot of those.
- 4:55I don't think that cadburys. To be honest Cadbury stop being
- 4:58Cadbury's when craft bought it. So I don't think it's really
- 5:00you're not missing anything there.
- 5:02I mean, the chocolate they make now is just abysmal.
- 5:05It's not what it was because it's not English around anymore.
- 5:08Like we have to either go to England to get them.
- 5:14We have to look very specifically Bowl Cadbury's,
- 5:19Creme eggs, when we yeah, none of those here.
- 5:24Either that's a shame that actually is a show of his very
- 5:27little When I was a kid, my migrate Nan who I was lucky
- 5:32enough to me, used to buy me cream eggs and I have this
- 5:36distinct memory of sitting on her like living room floor with
- 5:42cream eggs just being discussed in and licking out the cream
- 5:45like that like some sort of searching but it was amazing.
- 5:48I do it all over again, baby. There's amazing that you either.
- 5:51You either love them or hate them and sort of how can you
- 5:54hate them? What it's not Mom.
- 5:55I was amazed, don't like it. I don't know.
- 5:59Sacral that you're not British. I've yeah, it's good thing.
- 6:02Your and what rubbish? Yeah, I revoke your British
- 6:05pass, I revoke it. You're no longer British.
- 6:07You're gonna take it. I don't live there anymore.
- 6:10That's a good question. Do you think you'll ever come
- 6:12back? I think I'll visit but I don't
- 6:16think I'll stay longer than a couple of weeks at a time.
- 6:21I mean, you're a young guy. Do you think that your travel a
- 6:25lot? Because, I mean, I'm 27 now,
- 6:27right? Yes, I've lived abroad and I can
- 6:29tell you that. I want to be in England for a
- 6:33little bit just because I've been away from home for so long.
- 6:35But in my mind I'm constantly thinking I should go and leave
- 6:39this place for a couple of years.
- 6:41I should go live here. I should get Jin and I mean like
- 6:43because it's like you do it, do it while you're young much as
- 6:46much as a sort of bulk of their fun at my daddy is very wise
- 6:51because he told me that before you do anything to do with
- 6:55family, you need to travel, you need to see places.
- 6:58Yes. Because it has many places as
- 7:00possible. Double, I don't think I'll see
- 7:02the whole world but obviously means you just, yeah, I mean you
- 7:05can pretty much I can pretty much cross out the United
- 7:07States. Sorry.
- 7:08For any American viewers watching, why'd you say that?
- 7:14It's just, I don't, I'm not mad, I'm not really that big of a fan
- 7:17of the United States. Okay, tell tell, tell me more
- 7:21tell me this is good. This is good places.
- 7:23You can see like the Grand Canyon dude, balls places.
- 7:27Like that. Like, tourist attraction, be
- 7:29sure that Niagara Falls is Canada, is It's not a false kind
- 7:33of that. I'm pretty sure is.
- 7:34Yeah. Oh yeah, it is.
- 7:36But that's still North America. So after no, it's not kind of do
- 7:40is all thinking different continent and country.
- 7:42North America is Canada. And the United States of
- 7:45America. Did you learn nothing of your
- 7:48America's here. Canada is here.
- 7:51That's not how that works. Not America is a continent.
- 7:55Canada is known as North America and South America, South
- 7:59America. Yeah.
- 8:00Yeah. Shell that kind.
- 8:01Yeah. But dude, you're forgetting
- 8:02about what's above fucking North America.
- 8:04Alaska Canada. Are you dumb?
- 8:08All right, I'm going to give you a lesson.
- 8:10So, a key, North America. North America is a continent
- 8:13which contains the United States of America and Canada.
- 8:16Alaska is some sort of weird u.s. today, I'm going to well,
- 8:21the left them get prepared to say that you're right.
- 8:36My dad. Canada is a separate country,
- 8:47but it's in the same condom. If I wasn't disputing that it's
- 8:53not in the same vicinity, I'm saying that it's a No-No.
- 8:57What you said? What you said?
- 8:59What you said is that it's part of North America which is
- 9:02fucking bollocks. No.
- 9:03It is part of not Canada's part of North America.
- 9:06Is that bomb? North America?
- 9:07North America is a continent. You dunce countries are evolving
- 9:11is together, right? Solo, I'm looking at the map
- 9:15right now. You've got Alaska to the far
- 9:17left, so yeah. I'm going to take my dad's
- 9:22advice. I'm going to stop arguing
- 9:23because it's pointless because I'm right stop that.
- 9:27So I'll ask us to the far left. And you've got Alaska is the
- 9:30United States but it's for some reason up to the northwest of
- 9:35Canada. It's still the US. that's
- 9:43interesting to me and it's considered under the same and I
- 9:48get it because it's like connected like on physically on
- 9:51the same continent, but it's just like, That's interesting to
- 9:56me. I don't think you're do.
- 10:00You still think you're right? Or let me know, because the
- 10:04thing the thing to me is I don't really give a shit about being
- 10:06right or wrong. It to me, it's more like
- 10:09interesting how people classify things because I'm just
- 10:11surprised he didn't know. It really what I like.
- 10:14I know that it's connected to each other.
- 10:16Obviously I know it's one whole thing.
- 10:18I want saying, what I was disputing right, is that it's
- 10:22classified under like as part of America, like I thought, that's
- 10:27what we were having an argument about.
- 10:29So know what I was when I was six Because it's like a separate
- 10:33Province. Same with the last get is it is
- 10:36a bit weird how late it is. A bit weird hearing.
- 10:38That Canada is part of North America, but just need to
- 10:43remember that North America's the continent, which contains
- 10:47the US of a and think, I think why?
- 10:48I was disputing it is because okay, you've got South America,
- 10:52which if you look at the map, everything is all connected,
- 10:56right? It won't let me so connected,
- 10:59right? So like South America, like Ike.
- 11:04There's loads of seeing between sort of like Mexico and then I
- 11:10really Raziel ones and all of these areas, but you see like
- 11:14it's all kind of connected, but it's okay, that's considered
- 11:16self America, right? Anything below.
- 11:19North America. But you can see Mexico obviously
- 11:21borders with United States but then, I don't know, is Mexico
- 11:25considered part of North America, or is it considered
- 11:27South America? And I need to download a world
- 11:31map because I really can't see. And I need to zoom.
- 11:36But that even the can I put images in this Zoom thing?
- 11:40We could because you could bring up an image but I'd like to be
- 11:43but don't even know how download?
- 11:46Well, I've never, I've never tried, never tried to put to put
- 11:51that images in here before getting somewhere at least share
- 11:56screen. No.
- 11:59Not just bringing up a Twitter feed exit, full screen.
- 12:02Now you go. So now I can bring you here And
- 12:06then go to my documents that. Okay, well, man also, But anyway
- 12:17okay, there we go. I brought it up.
- 12:19So the United States of America oh, Mexico is messy part of the
- 12:25new. See what I'm just going to see
- 12:26what I'm saying now because it's like it's not all strictly
- 12:29speaking. The Mexico is part of North
- 12:34America as well. Yes it's just and then what
- 12:38Marla and Honduras and Jamaica Cuba there, there South America.
- 12:45So Mexico is basically the border.
- 12:48So yeah, yeah, I get that, I get that.
- 12:50Yeah, but it's like when you look at okay, yeah, Mexico
- 12:54Guatemala Honduras. And then it goes all the way
- 12:57feeding into Colombia Venezuela. And then like this bigger
- 13:00massive continent, which is pretty much fully South America
- 13:03that we sort of know and think of like Brazil or Argentina or
- 13:06the that, right? But basically my point is that
- 13:08it's all interconnected just but like that seems to be where the
- 13:13Divide is, right? In my mind, whenever I thought
- 13:16of North and South America, I've always thought of yet United
- 13:19States and then to a lesser extent, Mexico being like part
- 13:22of the north and in the South being Brazil, Argentina, Chile,
- 13:25and all of that, right? So then to hear O Canada is
- 13:29considered part of North America.
- 13:30I mean, it is on the same sort of continent, obviously, there's
- 13:33no gaps between it. Like, it's land connective.
- 13:37But it's like, still kind of blows my mind that it's
- 13:40considered part of it. I thought it was just, you know,
- 13:43that's the Canada part. Yeah.
- 13:45Yeah. No.
- 13:46But anyway, I digress with we also can't.
- 13:49I had Estonia was like Eastern Europe, it's well, it's not
- 13:55isn't because it's just a bit, just a little bit to the west of
- 13:58Russia. It's it kind of, isn't it?
- 14:02Isn't like they least kind of maybe they really take it badly.
- 14:05When you say Eastern Europe because it's like while it might
- 14:09be the east of Europe, they are like nothing like what you have
- 14:13in mind because when you think of Eastern Europe Poland Russia,
- 14:16right? But like I can tell you.
- 14:18Now, Estonian culture is just so different from that.
- 14:23It's closer to like Finnish culture and to a lesser extent,
- 14:27like Swedish culture and stuff like that.
- 14:29But like because of where they're situated there.
- 14:31Just grouped in with with all the rest of them because
- 14:34European countries to the south of Finland into the southeast.
- 14:38Yeah. So if you think it's Tony is
- 14:40here, right? Okay.
- 14:42Can I just saw for those for those listening on Spotify by
- 14:45The way and apple podcast what I'm trying to say is that,
- 14:48basically, if you can imagine in your mind, it's down here, is
- 14:50this small country here. And then to the right of it,
- 14:53you've got it borders with Russia and it's obviously huge.
- 14:57And then to the bottom, I believe it's Latvia.
- 15:01And then basically, it doesn't border with anything to the
- 15:05north, but it basically, there's a can see between Estonia multi
- 15:09between us tone infinim. Yeah, and it's a very short
- 15:12distance is about 30. You five minutes give or take by
- 15:17boat. So obviously the flight is even
- 15:19quicker. But yeah.
- 15:20So would you say that people can consider it as quote unquote
- 15:24Eastern Europe because it's connected to the east of Russia.
- 15:30Sorry it's that yeah that's the thing as you go, if you go there
- 15:33if you live there you realize the culture has nothing to do
- 15:36with Eastern Europe. That'll I mean, that's the thing
- 15:39is that there are elements of like, Russian culture, they
- 15:41obviously because of, you know, the history and the fact that
- 15:45there are are there was a rapper Russian population there and
- 15:47stuff, but the actual Estonian culture has very little if
- 15:51anything to do with Russian or European culture.
- 15:54The only thing that I could find that was even remotely close was
- 15:59Estonia, has region by region. They have, how do I do I put
- 16:05this late? Okay, like if there's an event
- 16:09in say, like, a rural town, like, I don't know, A civilian
- 16:16D, which is in the South or vulgar, which is in the South,
- 16:19they have like these events particularly around summertime,
- 16:22they have this event called st. John's day, which in, Estonian
- 16:27is pronounced yarny by. If it's like a three four-day
- 16:31event, and it's in the middle of that June, July or whatever.
- 16:35But like, often around these times or, like, weddings, things
- 16:40like that, people will dress up in these kind of I don't know
- 16:44how to put it like, It's I really don't know how to explain
- 16:51it. It's like traditional dress from
- 16:53like middle times or something. If you know what I mean, right?
- 16:58And in Russia, they have that as well.
- 17:00Okay, and there's bit of crossover there, particularly to
- 17:04the east of Estonia, where, you know, you've got more Russians
- 17:09living in the country and there's more like mixing and
- 17:11crossing over there. But basically that that dressing
- 17:15that way of dressing Um is probably the only thing that
- 17:19really links them to like Europe Eastern Europe in any shape or
- 17:24form and then otherwise you've got like some words here and
- 17:28there that seep their way into the language from Russian and to
- 17:32a lesser extent German. But otherwise the language is
- 17:36very it's considered I think finno-ugric which is like
- 17:40finished brand of languages from like if you Google this stuff it
- 17:44basically breaks off into that. Loads of different languages.
- 17:48In most prominently, there's one called livonian.
- 17:52Which does I don't think exists anymore but in the Middle Ages
- 17:55it was quite a prominent language and that area.
- 18:00Yeah. And the reason I know this is
- 18:02because they're just did a lot of reading on it as curious
- 18:04about it. But yeah, if you want to learn
- 18:06more I just say look it up online or ask an Estonian,
- 18:10they're very proud. They'll tell you kind of false
- 18:16so many Similar thing, but a lot of people from the more Northern
- 18:22provinces of the Netherlands when they come down south yes,
- 18:28don't really understand the soft, the softer Southern
- 18:32there's a Sim access if you will.
- 18:34So they assume that would jump. There's a similar thing.
- 18:39Okay, well that's not assumed in Estonia but there is this
- 18:42similar thing of how North and South have like different And
- 18:46dialects different words terms and stuff for things, which I
- 18:50suppose is that it's the same in any ways and it's the same in
- 18:52the UK. You have like Northern dialects,
- 18:54Southern dialect and stuff, but generally speaking for instance,
- 18:58the hard and stuff G. Yeah.
- 19:01So that's the key in the. Hey yeah, yeah.
- 19:05But I also noticed that other areas like the island.
- 19:08I spent some time on in Estonia called sorry Mr. And I think
- 19:13humor which is above it as well, they have like their own dialect
- 19:16as well. Ons, it can get kind of
- 19:18confusing sometimes but yeah, I don't know, it's interesting
- 19:23stuff but yeah. Oh my God, never never say to an
- 19:25Estonian like or Estonia as Eastern Europe because they'll
- 19:28be so pissed at you. That's like the worst offensive
- 19:31thing you could ever say yeah. I don't know, German, I let that
- 19:35pretty fucking quickly. Like it's, yeah, we're sorry.
- 19:39Won't I won't, I won't call you an Eastern European.
- 19:41If you don't call me a job, Who calls you a German we on about
- 19:47making a deal with him as well. Yeah.
- 19:49But where's that where's that come from was okay firstly.
- 19:52What's wrong with me in German and secondly?
- 19:55Why you saying? Don't call me German.
- 19:56What? Because I've just told you
- 19:59people from the northern provinces, they don't understand
- 20:02the soft G in the South, right? And I live in the south, okay?
- 20:07So they automatically assume that like weird German or
- 20:09something. So I said, don't call me a
- 20:12German and I won't say The stone is Eastern Europe but I wasn't
- 20:19really talking directly to you. I was talking to like the
- 20:21audience, making a joke man. Ha ha ha.
- 20:29Don't pull out the sarcastic. Laughter that for those
- 20:31listening at home that was a joke.
- 20:35Joke number one, it was a joke, chill insert laughter track here
- 20:44and now it's not a pod fight pod fight.
- 20:46Is that the bailiff? I was that a thing.
- 20:50I've never heard of that before a pod for now fighting.
- 20:52It's just a scuffle. You should, you should have
- 20:54said, yes, you should be said, yes, we're fighting.
- 20:56We're having our No, I'll have to ask Christy.
- 20:58Are we getting a divorce now something?
- 21:00Yes, yes. We're getting a divorce.
- 21:03I'm taking the kids. God dammit.
- 21:07Great care. Doc record hard part.
- 21:13I'll do not do the easy stuff. I'll tell you what.
- 21:15You keep you keep the kids and I'll own all the assets.
- 21:18How's that? Yeah.
- 21:22Well that's your, that's your problem lawyer.
- 21:35I'm so glad I moved away from England and you in general.
- 21:39Do you ever miss her dogs? I said.
- 21:43I missed the place kind of with the people.
- 21:47What in your particular area or in general?
- 21:51English people aren't renowned for the other, their attitude
- 21:55towards other people, so you say that.
- 21:57But I swear people up north there are nicely.
- 22:00Right? - people who live here are
- 22:02lovely, the serve the ratio of bad people did good people sort
- 22:06of skew. Hmm.
- 22:09It's clearly leading to more towards than I think it.
- 22:13I think that depends where you are to be honest.
- 22:15I mean I would say washing there's no walk in the park.
- 22:20S Washington isn't really a walk in the park where I used to love
- 22:24these little watching. It's sort of oh well there's a
- 22:26place in England could Washington.
- 22:27Well yeah the original Washington before d.c.
- 22:30Wow. Okay.
- 22:31Well I didn't know that. I know that a lot of we share a
- 22:36lot of names with us and Canada as well which is interesting.
- 22:40So there's like a London and a Birmingham and a new car.
- 22:42So on a Manchester in the states which is well that's why that's
- 22:46why the change the sign on Washington.
- 22:48I think from Listen to the original Washington.
- 22:51Yeah, the American one, got erected, interesting interest.
- 22:57Washington District of Columbia. Yep.
- 23:01But like yeah that's what I was saying was is it's sort of like
- 23:05in between Newcastle and Sunderland, kind of okay.
- 23:09Yeah it's not really it's not really between them and the side
- 23:12of them. Really.
- 23:13Yeah. But it's a very small town.
- 23:17Okay. But it has like 100,000 people
- 23:20live in the ocean. That's not too bad.
- 23:22Is this quite nice but that amount it's like enough is
- 23:25enough to say yeah you see, see people.
- 23:28But it's not too much that it's like overbearing.
- 23:35So what was actually said there is some blind used to be the
- 23:39largest town in the country until it was until it became a
- 23:43city. So it was the largest town until
- 23:46it was clusters the city on a history lesson right now.
- 23:52It's interesting story and geography.
- 23:54History 101. Ammo with Dutch deals and his
- 23:57dad. Oh my God.
- 24:01No, no Dutch deals and Dutch. Dad.
- 24:07Don't you know, them Dutch that. There you go.
- 24:09See. See, I'm a marketing genius.
- 24:15So much irony, given the fact that were English.
- 24:19Now you've got set up a separate YouTube channel for your dad and
- 24:22call it Dutch dad and just do like dead things.
- 24:25I don't think Dad watching YouTube channel, but that would
- 24:28be a good move, Guy steals. It would be like if I finally
- 24:32gained a following at some point and then he was Danica and then
- 24:35I was to give him a little bit of support.
- 24:39Like how many Subs know how many one haven't checked in?
- 24:44Well, I've just been sort of taking a break from YouTube to
- 24:47see figure out what I want to do.
- 24:50I think I'm going to not take a full on break but like, take a
- 24:54bit of a break in December. I'm trying to push to get up
- 24:58250. I'm so that if I know I don't
- 25:01I'm trying to push to get about 155 155, 50 episodes of the
- 25:09podcast out before the end of the year.
- 25:11And then I think I'm going to kind of in December.
- 25:13I'm going to I'll see because I want to kind of keep my foot on
- 25:17the gas, but I will. At some point, I think I'll need
- 25:23to take a break but I'm not sure when but I don't know.
- 25:25Like I kind of like this idea of uploading and then like
- 25:30scheduling it and then and so it appears that I'm uploading all
- 25:34the time but I'm actually like just resting.
- 25:36Like that's one of the reasons why I schedule so much.
- 25:40Do you think you can have a day off?
- 25:42But it looks like you're applauding because you already
- 25:44have a video over so I SLI yeah that's that's why I do part of
- 25:47the reason why I do the clips for the podcast, obviously the
- 25:49principal reason is to promote the podcast and to get people
- 25:52interested and stuff. But the latter reason is because
- 25:55of that because you know, you can't be constantly You working
- 25:59your ass off 24/7 and, you know, not just the the physical side
- 26:04of things. But also, yeah, the mental side
- 26:05of things you need a mental health break every now and
- 26:08again, because it's demanding, you can get too involved with
- 26:12the numbers game. You know, for instance, I don't
- 26:15know what it is about YouTube but like I seem to be in this
- 26:19circle of like up and down up and down up and down.
- 26:23So in the past we and just sort of very, very soluble.
- 26:28Yeah, like I lose one or two every now and again but it's
- 26:31mostly going up. Yeah, but that's that's what I
- 26:33have the one or two thing so it will stick on a number.
- 26:37So right now it's alternating between 505 and 507 seems to be
- 26:42going up and down up and down. So right now it's 50, 60
- 26:45probably be something else by tomorrow or tonight or whatever
- 26:49and it makes me wonder like, is it actually people just unsub in
- 26:54sobbing or is it just you two being wankers?
- 26:57Think it, I think, I don't. I think you should not really
- 27:00for a thing. You know, I don't I'm just want
- 27:02to know. I don't care particularly
- 27:05YouTubers known to be. Well, an ass really.
- 27:10So dull what nobody? Subscribe me, okay?
- 27:16In the sense that they can just unsub people whenever they feel
- 27:20like it without the consent of that person and also because
- 27:23like, you know, from for exact, here's a good example, right?
- 27:26Someone watch one of my videos the other day and they forgot
- 27:29that they were subscribed to me, right?
- 27:30Which is fine. And they said, oh wow, you know,
- 27:34this came up and I forgot I was subscribed and I love the video,
- 27:37right? If they would have deleted that
- 27:40person sub, that person wouldn't have seen me, you know, I mean,
- 27:44it's things like that. It's like I get what they're
- 27:48trying to do, they're trying to make it like, you know, not
- 27:51cluttered and representative and you know.
- 27:53But at the end of the day, everyone knows that, even if you
- 27:56are sub to a channel chances that you actually are watching
- 27:58that channel on a regular basis of slim, you know what I mean?
- 28:01Like, even the top YouTubers, they might have 10 mil Subs, but
- 28:04they've only got about, I say only but, you know,
- 28:06realistically, Two million per episode people watching.
- 28:13And that's not even guaranteed that that's all of their subs.
- 28:16That might just be, like, people unsub the checking it out.
- 28:19So it's interesting to me, but it seems, I've had a bit of a
- 28:23think about it, your honor, and I'm gonna go on record here.
- 28:27I think I'm going to change the way I do my Vlogs.
- 28:30Cool. I think I'm not just a top.
- 28:33Sorry, I don't think I'm gonna just record.
- 28:37Nothing like you know, the day off video I made.
- 28:42Hmm. Refresh my memory which one it's
- 28:46when I had a day off and I just recorded myself.
- 28:51Did you go somewhere? I remember you going somewhere
- 28:54went down. I went down to Mandy's gone.
- 28:57Okay. Um but that was that was
- 29:01literally a PointlessBlog. Why'd you say it's one of us
- 29:05because I am going to doing. Yeah, but there's no reason for
- 29:08anybody to watch it. Not necessarily well by interest
- 29:11people. Interested in your life.
- 29:14What me? Walking down the garden and then
- 29:16okay, I'm going to give you some advice.
- 29:18Okay? Wasn't finished, I know it's
- 29:20unsolicited. I know you didn't ask, but I'm
- 29:23just going to say Wonderland before you continue.
- 29:25I think this is important for you to hear, it's not pointless
- 29:29because if you have that attitude you'll never create any
- 29:31content that's about yourself. Like I remember a while ago, you
- 29:37know, Charles Jaco. He said to me that these Vlogs
- 29:41that you do, if nothing has even if you like you never.
- 29:44I'm successful whatever. Like blah blah blah.
- 29:46You know, this is like a time capsule of you right now.
- 29:49So in 10 years from now 20 years from now you can look back at
- 29:52this and kind of Marvel like how you grew how you were even
- 29:57something simple like a day out, where you're just with some
- 29:59family that can be like, really special and something worth kind
- 30:04of savoring and holding tight to, you know, I mean and more to
- 30:08the point as your audience grows and people become more
- 30:11interested in you and want to know more about your your life,
- 30:14they'll want more of that content, you know?
- 30:16But that's, that's something that I can say, bro, tweet or
- 30:20Instagram post. It's different though, it's not
- 30:23the same. As when you doing a video, it's
- 30:24more interactive people like think about when people are
- 30:27watching you it's like you feel like you know that person.
- 30:32You feel like you're friends with that person.
- 30:35If it's just a tweet it's not the same it's like three videos
- 30:40but I mean yeah but like a whack on you YouTubers thought Either
- 30:45either dollar or oh, I see, hang on, I see what you're saying.
- 30:49So this is like a instead of it being a full video, like an
- 30:54update kind of thing. Like, no, I'm just doing.
- 30:57Okay. Well then I would say something
- 30:58different to you. Then I would say, take my advice
- 31:01because I got this advice again from Charles Jaco to do regular
- 31:06updates on Instagram and do like little mini things.
- 31:09So it doesn't have to be, like, even proper videos that
- 31:11sometimes I'll just add to my story on IG and it's just me,
- 31:16like, fucking around in the van while we're volunteering
- 31:18somewhere in Manchester and it's just like not even Proper thing.
- 31:21Is this me like listening to some music on clue.
- 31:24Yeah, but I don't know people liken to that staff.
- 31:27People. Sometimes like it, they engage
- 31:29with that content. I mean, I suppose the whole
- 31:30point is, when you're putting content out there, you know,
- 31:35it's never pointless. I think that I just want, I just
- 31:37want to eradicate that mindset from your head right now.
- 31:43No, no, it's not. It's not pointless, just
- 31:45sometimes. There's no topic to the video.
- 31:50So I feel like the next blog I make will be one of the ones
- 31:56where I'm either going somewhere or doing something.
- 31:59Hmm that's worth recording like okay and it makes it difficult
- 32:05in the winter because it's so cold that you don't want to go
- 32:08outside. You don't want to do anything.
- 32:10Yeah. Whereas in the summer.
- 32:14I mean, I'm not sure if there's any like car meets around
- 32:19something where I live, but I feel like that would be a good
- 32:22video because my dad likes that kind of pretty.
- 32:24So you struggling to just find things to do.
- 32:27Yeah. Okay fair enough and I don't
- 32:30want to record nothing. I not not nothing but I think
- 32:35it's a good time then to just really get into some some
- 32:37different hobbies and try different things out because
- 32:40I've been doing the same thing as well, you know?
- 32:42Just trying different. What things, I think that I
- 32:44understand the struggle of not knowing what to put on YouTube.
- 32:48But, I mean, this is your experimental time.
- 32:51This is where you build in your channel.
- 32:53I mean, you mentioned, like, you might even set up a second
- 32:55Channel. I don't think that's a bad idea,
- 32:56you know, it's good. As part of the experimentation,
- 32:59I'm not going to not going to do that, whatever.
- 33:03Like the point, the point is more about trying different
- 33:07things. Seeing what you like, seeing
- 33:09what you're comfortable with, you know, you notice there's
- 33:11certain types of content on Channel that I do significantly
- 33:14less than others, like reaction videos as an example.
- 33:18Like I found a way to do it in an easier way now via streaming.
- 33:22So now I'm more inclined to do it, but before it was such a
- 33:25pain in the ass for very little reward, and I was thinking,
- 33:29like, it's not so much, it's not just about the views and
- 33:32interactions, you get, but like that, those things serve as
- 33:35motivation for things, that you're not as interested in.
- 33:38But if you're not fully interested in the first place,
- 33:41then should you really be doing? It's one of those weird
- 33:44questions, you know, I mean with YouTube but I say yeah, just try
- 33:49lots of different things. Man, you're in a completely
- 33:51different country where you have access to things that, you know,
- 33:53you didn't necessarily have access to in the UK.
- 33:56And you know what, it's not even just about YouTube, just in
- 34:00terms of your life experience, and having access to things that
- 34:05will give you cool experiences stories.
- 34:08You know, I can tell you now for relationships for friendships.
- 34:13Just getting to know people and stuff.
- 34:15It really helps. If you have stuff you can just
- 34:20refer to and and just dropping conversation.
- 34:23Not not as a flex, but as a kind of like I did this and then it's
- 34:27like an ice breaker. It's like, you know, especially
- 34:29if someone brings something up first and they say, oh yes, I
- 34:32lived abroad and did this and you can be like yeah.
- 34:34So did I and blah? Blah blah and you know it's like
- 34:38I think the more things you do in life and the more you kind of
- 34:41make out of life, the more that comes back to you Jane.
- 34:45I mean the more opportunities that are open to you and but
- 34:51more importantly, just the more you get out of life, you know,
- 34:53the zest of life, so to speak. I don't want to sound like I'm
- 34:56going on like some sort of broken record but like I think
- 35:00there is a lot to be said for just trying things in life and,
- 35:03you know, even if it's something that you think is going to be
- 35:06shit, or like, you think, our, why the hell would I do that?
- 35:09Maybe I'm not interested in that, but you'd be surprised,
- 35:11you know? So that's the end of my lecture
- 35:19lecture. It was I'd be a great Professor,
- 35:22man. I just ran below it.
- 35:24Everyone everyone would leave except for like two kids that
- 35:28for some reason when I listen because they don't want to get
- 35:32in trouble from their parents. So they pay attention just to
- 35:36say they did, I worry, you know, sometimes about this like me
- 35:39talking, this is why I limit how much I talk and I try and save.
- 35:42Vit, for when I'm gone. I was, I was just listening.
- 35:45I would just let it all sink in. I'm serious, man.
- 35:47You ever seen them the show? How I Met Your Mother TV show?
- 35:53I watch it mostly before I go to bed, like it's just, it's just
- 35:56sort of on Comedy Central. So yeah.
- 35:59Okay, what's a great show? I love it.
- 36:01I particularly love Barney and Robin and Ted Marshall Lily.
- 36:07Yeah. Ted Washington.
- 36:08Yeah. So, anyway, this character of
- 36:10Ted I really With, I really like him.
- 36:15He's a romantic. Yeah, the lecturer.
- 36:17Yeah, right. But not just that, like the fact
- 36:19that he's a romantic, a fact that he's passionate about know
- 36:21these things. Like, I can resonate with all of
- 36:24that, I can relate to it, because that's exactly me.
- 36:27But, at the same time, it's angle.
- 36:29Yeah, it's same for me. It's that kind of difficulty of
- 36:33finding the right person and stuff like that, but being
- 36:36passionate about nerdy things and wanting to find someone
- 36:39who's a similar mindset. But more importantly, the reason
- 36:41I bring it up, Is his fear of kind of particularly when he
- 36:46becomes a lecturer in the later Seasons University and he's
- 36:49teaching his profession of architecture and stuff, right?
- 36:52He's got a real fear and worry about, you know, talking to
- 36:57people about this because a lot of the time when he talks about
- 36:59the things that he's passionate about, people just zone out
- 37:01there not listening, they don't care, right?
- 37:04I really feel this sometimes as well.
- 37:05This is why I pick my moments. When I'm I'm going to talk to
- 37:09people. Like if it's a lot of the time,
- 37:12like, if you meet me in, Life. I'm quite a shy person.
- 37:15You know. I don't start conversations I
- 37:18wait for other people to do that.
- 37:22I don't often share. Stories or things about my life
- 37:27openly, unless I really feel comfortable with the person and
- 37:30more importantly that I think they're actually going to listen
- 37:33because I can't tell you how many times I've started a
- 37:35conversation or someone asked me a question.
- 37:39I start giving them an answer and then they stop listening or
- 37:42they just not don't care and it's like It's disrespectful,
- 37:46but it's disappointing, which is the bigger part of it, you know.
- 37:50And it makes me not want to speak as sad as that sounds.
- 37:53It's actually like, they think Like, if you started the
- 37:58conversation and they're not really interested, that's right
- 38:01there, I know. But if they literally ask you
- 38:04the question and then stopped listening when you were
- 38:06answering. Yeah, that's just disrespectful.
- 38:11And that's why I save it for like for here for online.
- 38:14So I find it funny when people say like oh yeah you seem so
- 38:18charismatic you seem so open and and confident or that and it's
- 38:23like no, no. I know how to tie know how to
- 38:26talk to People I know how to do all this stuff because you learn
- 38:28that over time, right? If your experiences and stuff
- 38:31and but you yeah I mean, I think a lot of the time with these
- 38:35sorts of things. Man, I don't know.
- 38:39People can be funny. Can't they?
- 38:40Sometimes people want to know everything about you and they
- 38:43really are engaged, but more to the point.
- 38:45A lot of the time people would to invest in themselves to care
- 38:49about what you're doing, which is why it's important, I think
- 38:51not to kick give a shit what people think because exactly
- 38:55chances are they are not talking about you and if they are then
- 38:58they've got fuck all going on in their life.
- 39:01If a good, a good piece of advice that I'm even trying.
- 39:08To follow myself. Do this, if you walk around
- 39:14caring about what people think of you, you'll never be
- 39:17comfortable being anywhere. So to me, well, if you're, if
- 39:23you're walking, let's say through the Centre of
- 39:27Manchester, okay? You're constantly thinking about
- 39:31what people are thinking about you.
- 39:33And if you think about how much people are looking at you even
- 39:37if they're not, it gets in your head.
- 39:40Yep. And it's awful, it's an awful
- 39:42feeling. So if you just try and try and
- 39:47bring yourself back to reality in the Fact that they're not
- 39:51actually looking at you. Hmm.
- 39:54I used to have that. I still have that problem.
- 39:56Actually. When I was a teenager, I didn't
- 39:58really bad. I used to think everyone was
- 40:01mocking me, everyone thought I was stupid ugly.
- 40:05All of this stuff is used to go around.
- 40:06Used to drive me nuts, to be honest, most of the time I only
- 40:09managed to kind of get rid of that sort of feeling, A couple
- 40:16of years ago, to be honest, even at University.
- 40:18I felt like that, you know, I think going to Estonia really
- 40:23helped shift My mindset. Meet my ex-girlfriend really
- 40:27helped as well, she beat a lot of just nonsense out of my head.
- 40:31So I was thinking most rate because yeah, it's fucked, man.
- 40:35You know, you grew up with in certain environment.
- 40:37It can really shape how you think and feel about yourself
- 40:41and as uselessly came from like that.
- 40:44I like didn't really get out much.
- 40:46Hmm. I live back in England but I
- 40:48don't really go out and do things.
- 40:51Hmm. Yeah, so happens.
- 40:54I didn't learn. Interact with people.
- 40:56Hmm, it was only until the sort of started lockdown when I get
- 41:03started to ease up. So you can meet people remain
- 41:06socially distance. That was sort of when I started
- 41:09going out on the bikes with my cousin, I am.
- 41:14I often when I meet someone new And this is another reason why I
- 41:19do the whole, let them start the conversation thing because a lot
- 41:23of the time, you can figure out how to talk to people based on,
- 41:27you know, I know it sounds really obvious, but had based on
- 41:30the, the, the sorts of things that they tend to focus on the
- 41:32questions, they asked the topics, they talked about, like,
- 41:35you sort of can figure out an Essence, an idea of that person,
- 41:40and you sort of know what to talk about, what to avoid, you
- 41:45know, so on and so forth. I always keep it platonic until
- 41:50I sort of know someone for a long time or I know them on a
- 41:55deep level. If I actually consider someone a
- 41:56friend then you know, there's no limits.
- 41:59We can talk about anything but that's the thing.
- 42:01I used to think that, like, friends were like, two a penny.
- 42:03But if anything friends to me friendship is a very important
- 42:08Deep thing. I think I don't consider a lot
- 42:10of people friends. I consider a lot people
- 42:11acquaintances, they might consider me a friend, but for
- 42:15me, a friendship is so much more than just like you.
- 42:18You know chatting and it's like trust its loyalty it's you know
- 42:24honesty. Yeah and I feel like a lot of
- 42:27these things aren't given people expect them but they don't often
- 42:32give them and when they're caught out, sometimes they don't
- 42:36understand why you're so upset. And it's like this is another
- 42:40reason why I kind of keep myself to myself.
- 42:41And I don't often open up to people because of this, you
- 42:47know, I've Had friendship groups in the past.
- 42:50I've had best friends in the past.
- 42:52They've, you know, let me down betrayed me, all of these
- 42:54things. It's not to say, like, I'm never
- 42:56going to trust anyone again or anything cause that's bollocks.
- 42:59I have people, I trust with my life, you know?
- 43:02But I think you do have to be very selective about these
- 43:05things and not just because of those things are just Lau line.
- 43:09But also, because you need to surround yourself with, like,
- 43:13positive people, people that like want you to succeed like
- 43:18don't Don't secretly. Want you to fail because there
- 43:20are people like that. They might say lovely shit to
- 43:22your face, but there are people out there that just, you know,
- 43:26they're trying to be friends with you because they want
- 43:28something or, you know, because it benefits them in some way or,
- 43:32you know, they want to try and fuck up your life, whatever the
- 43:36case may be, there's so many of those people out there in the
- 43:38world that you just have to steer away from It's tricky.
- 43:42Sometimes you don't always leeches and some of the cars,
- 43:46seven, saboteurs, Yeah, we still just dies.
- 43:49It's just - people in general as well like negativity.
- 43:53Is this the okay? You haven't worked that much,
- 43:56really. But have you ever had like a
- 43:57situation? Where did you get these often
- 44:00in? Workplaces I've noticed where
- 44:03you go into a new environment and there's that one person
- 44:06that's - that tries to kind of make everyone else feel bad.
- 44:10Like they try to kind of sell likewise in this shit here and
- 44:14all this person is horrible. I sucks here that money
- 44:17constantly say - thing, they never say anything positive.
- 44:20And if you earn in my, last school has won every class
- 44:24privilege, right? There's always that one person
- 44:26and night, it depends because, like, sometimes you get a
- 44:30general crowd of people, that just don't care.
- 44:32And we'll just like, cancel that person that I'm like, whatever.
- 44:34But then sometimes you get people that are more susceptible
- 44:37to the two things and they start to listen to people like that.
- 44:41And then suddenly you've got a sort of, a bad atmosphere being
- 44:44created wherever you are because of that one person.
- 44:48And it's like, I, I avoid those people in particular like the
- 44:51plague can't stand these people, like, seriously throw a shampoo.
- 44:58Yeah, I mean, some people change, some people change, I
- 45:01used to be a - like I never deliberately went around, making
- 45:06people feel bad. I was never that type of person,
- 45:08but I was cynical. Yes, I'd lost like all hope.
- 45:15So, 18, 19, 20, I was very If I felt, you know, I saw other
- 45:20people I knew doing really well, but I wasn't doing well.
- 45:22You know, I was angry at the world, I think and all of that
- 45:26changed in the, in the coming years.
- 45:29But like, I really had to beat a lot of that negativity and crap
- 45:33out of my head and it's not easy.
- 45:35You, you really do. Have to like Do some
- 45:40soul-searching so to speak and it's got to be.
- 45:46It's got to be difficult though. I mean, I've got a face that
- 45:52challenge as well with, so making sure that the negative
- 45:55stuff stays out. Hmm.
- 45:57So making sure that people don't get to me as easily.
- 46:04Yep. Or at least make them think they
- 46:06don't. Yeah, I make them think they
- 46:09don't get to meet and we'll stop.
- 46:11And then another get to me that's a solid Point actually.
- 46:15Yeah, self-preservation making sure people don't can't get to
- 46:19you. So to speak.
- 46:20Yeah I completely agree. I think yeah I mean it's
- 46:23difficult not to show emotion in life but I think you can do it
- 46:28is possible. You just have another wall.
- 46:32You never know who you can let the wall down.
- 46:34Yeah, but it did the problem. The problem is Right while we
- 46:37can build walls and shit, there's always something that
- 46:39trigger anyone even the strongest person.
- 46:42There's something you can say something, if you trigger it,
- 46:47it's not to say or break down their wall but it will weaken
- 46:52it. Yeah.
- 46:53Like it will make them judge or make them.
- 46:55Twitch is with the word I'm looking for.
- 46:57Yeah, but yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 47:01You got to build. But yeah it's important that you
- 47:05know, that you can let it down for somebody.
- 47:09You guys just keep your wall of your entire life.
- 47:12Hmm, that's what I need to learn.
- 47:14Yeah. It doesn't even have to be like
- 47:16a wall like a kind of an aggressive one because I think
- 47:20that's a problem. A lot of people assume that you
- 47:22have to build up a front and then you push people away which
- 47:26is not what you want to do. You want to invite people in,
- 47:28but you kind of need to kind of kind of keep people in arms.
- 47:31Length. And then as you say, yeah, if
- 47:33you meet like someone, you can trust to you want to be your
- 47:35friend, or lover or something like that, then you let them in
- 47:40and you remember that's the foundation of the relationship,
- 47:42isn't it? You trust them?
- 47:43You say okay, give them chances. Yeah, I'm gonna let down my God
- 47:47for you because I trust you because I love you because
- 47:49you're my friend, whatever. And then the problem is is
- 47:52sometimes there's people who will make it.
- 47:55Think you can let the world down, you've let it down and the
- 47:59floor by several whatever's inside.
- 48:01That's the thing. You, yeah, like, I've met so
- 48:04many people over the years that refuse to let their wall down
- 48:07because people have broken their hearts and stuff and it's like
- 48:10that's life, that's what happens.
- 48:13That's the whole point of risk of trusting is a risk.
- 48:19You never know. You never know what they're
- 48:21going to do it or not. Yeah, have to give it a truck
- 48:23that exactly, I couldn't agree more.
- 48:26See, Dutch deals is smart, kid smile.
- 48:29But I don't know why I said that.
- 48:31I don't know. I said that.
- 48:34Yeah, you are. You smarter than I was at 60's.
- 48:37Fucking clueless more on a 16 mate.
- 48:39So very, very proud to see that. You're and you want now.
- 48:43Cletus moron. Yeah, of course, but back 16 and
- 48:46I was 16, it was really bad, more thing, really, really bad.
- 48:52And let's change up. Let's talk about YouTube again
- 48:55because I wanted to ask you this, you've obviously seen how
- 48:58much I've been uploading like crazy and I've been receiving
- 49:02kind of mixed messages from people.
- 49:04Some people say yeah it's great uploading loads.
- 49:08It's a good thing, you know, keep self out there.
- 49:09Keep yourself active blah blah. All right.
- 49:11Grow Other people I've met and seen online say the opposite
- 49:16say, oh, it's actually detrimental.
- 49:17You should upload less. Where do you stand on that?
- 49:23I think of answer this question before you need to find that
- 49:26that I ask you but yeah I'm not sure if it was on a podcast that
- 49:31I could have told you this so many times.
- 49:35It's okay so much. I listened on record or
- 49:38something. Sure. in my eyes, if you're
- 49:44constantly pushing out content and can be really good because
- 49:50obviously the more you upload, the more you get your viewers
- 49:53out there but you also need to think Of the viewer and then
- 50:00it's just Christian. We've uploaded Christian, you
- 50:02bloody Christian we've uploaded. So it's it can bring in more
- 50:06people but it can also not. It can also alien it be like a
- 50:14small deterrent. Hmm.
- 50:17Because people that I I'll I enjoy it when a YouTube uploads
- 50:20like two times a week because I can watch it like maybe on a
- 50:23Monday and then watching on a Friday, And then we're from one
- 50:26day again but if it's like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 50:31You have to sit down and watch all of it and it sort of because
- 50:38YouTube YouTube is a Pastime nautical time.
- 50:42Yeah. Let's look at Point.
- 50:44The one thing is the worry. I have though.
- 50:46Here's will get it. Don't get it, don't get me
- 50:48wrong. It's like nothing.
- 50:49It's nothing against you. I mean if you want to upload all
- 50:52the time, you go ahead but I don't know where I stand on it.
- 50:59Right. Yeah.
- 51:00But it's sort of, it's sort of your prerogative to choose how
- 51:04much you want to upload and no one can tell you otherwise.
- 51:07But yeah, I mean, I'm honestly I have mixed feelings about it
- 51:11because I agree with you. I have thought about this.
- 51:15You know, I've tried doing struct schedules before I do
- 51:18sort of have a schedule, but, here's where I stand on it right
- 51:21now. At least, I kind of look at it.
- 51:23Like, I have the ideas now. I should just move them soon as
- 51:27I have the ideas, get them out there.
- 51:29Upload them. You know, they mean or write
- 51:31them down. I do dude.
- 51:33Look, oh no, I don't worry, it's nothing crazy.
- 51:39So here's like a little list of just like stuff that I haven't
- 51:43done just yet, right? Some of its questioned off
- 51:46because of custom uploaded it, I can see the quality of the, but
- 51:49I can't read what it says because it on my glasses,
- 51:51basically, it's a bunch of ideas for future episodes of story
- 51:54time. I've got edit and publish the
- 51:57chase. If you remember, still got do
- 51:59that just a bunch of different things.
- 52:02Different ideas than delivering, the point.
- 52:07The point is, it sits there for a rainy day.
- 52:11It's like, I will get around to it, but at the same time, this
- 52:15is the most ideas I've ever had ever.
- 52:18And I just go based on what I feel.
- 52:21So if I wake up one morning and I feel I want to upload a music
- 52:25video. I want to upload a like okay,
- 52:28for example, that story time that I just uploaded Bring Me
- 52:32The Horizon one, right, what happened was?
- 52:34I saw a video and it jogged my memory.
- 52:40So they were talking about this experience.
- 52:43They had getting pepper sprayed on stage and I was like, I
- 52:46remember this because I was there, I was at that gig when it
- 52:49happened, and it kind of blew my mind.
- 52:52I was like, oh wow, I remembered this whole and I remembered
- 52:55everything. Most that happened at the show
- 52:57because of that because you know how memories work, it jogs, one
- 52:59thing and then it starts pouring out.
- 53:02And so my mentality was I've got to get this out before.
- 53:05I forget these ideas, I gotta write this all down which I did
- 53:08and then I was like, I should just do this while it's fresh in
- 53:10my mind. So basically my point is I feel
- 53:15like it's good to act on the ideas while you have them
- 53:18because there might be a point where you have like sort of
- 53:20writer's block and you don't know what to put out there which
- 53:22is one of the reasons why I have a list of ideas.
- 53:25For like quote-unquote like a rainy day because there might be
- 53:29a point where I don't have ideas and where I'm kind of stuck or
- 53:33something and that's what I'm more concerned about you know,
- 53:37and I feel like some spikes like a month ago when you did your
- 53:42Muse. Cover that went all the way up
- 53:45to 2 point. 7 K say again that can be your endlessly cover from
- 53:53use and what are you looking on social blade?
- 53:56No, just a YouTube. I'm just I'm just having a
- 53:59browse through to see why your spiking and you had a spike
- 54:04about a month ago with the endlessly cover.
- 54:06That's your second most popular video.
- 54:08Yep. It's going to be the most
- 54:10popular soon. It's definitely going to surpass
- 54:12the Reddit video which was the main one for a long time.
- 54:16Yes, it seems that post in like things that are trending or
- 54:23relevant helps because it does. Yeah.
- 54:26That's the only of video on the UK sex button five months ago.
- 54:30There's also a pre-sale gonna be.
- 54:33You're gonna be, you're gonna be known as the sex pun guy, don't
- 54:37don't, that's not even funny. Literally, like with that, that
- 54:40was dumb. That was, if you watch that
- 54:41video, it's just seven minute Vlog.
- 54:44It's not even very good. That's what pisses me off about
- 54:47it. Like, at least with the music
- 54:48video, like, I actually sat down learn how to play the song did
- 54:53like 50 takes, did it put effort in, right that Vlog?
- 54:56I just sat down, I was like, oh, this is funny, huh?
- 54:59And then that got nearly what 1500 views, what the fuck.
- 55:04That's what I mean about YouTube.
- 55:05And it's so he almost doesn't matter how much effort you put
- 55:09in sometimes like, you said, you bust your ass for nothing other
- 55:12times. You don't put anywhere fit in
- 55:14and you just get millions of views.
- 55:17Makes no sense to me. But you know it is what it is.
- 55:21Just got to keep grinding, I suppose that's somehow have four
- 55:25thousand, five hundred ninety, six YouTube notifications, your
- 55:31ice. I'll get you a subscribe to a
- 55:33lot of people then. I'm probably at least a quarter
- 55:37of that. I looked just, I looked at how
- 55:47many videos are uploaded in total, so I think it's like 500.
- 55:52And I'm trying to, I'm trying to see.
- 55:54I overlooked over 500 looking on about and honestly, I can't say
- 56:02anything similar. I can see how many views you
- 56:04have em, if you got em, Social blade that's about
- 56:06representation. Okay, you know it's funny as
- 56:10well about social blade. Is it gives you projected
- 56:15Projections for what I like, how it thinks that your channel is
- 56:19likely to grow. And it said that it would take
- 56:21me, something like five years to reach 11,000 subscribers.
- 56:26I was like, fuck me. That's depressing.
- 56:29As I've done. Take that long.
- 56:32Yeah, that's that's my my estimated monthly earnings are
- 56:37between three cents and 44 cents, money money.
- 56:41Yeah, an estimated oh I get 55 Euros.
- 56:44That's good, he's crazy. How people grow, like I keep
- 56:47using this example, there's a guy I follow she couldn't check
- 56:50them out. If you're listening actually,
- 56:52he's called Adam Barrett. He's really awesome.
- 56:55Songwriter musician is in our community so you've probably
- 56:58seen him Dutch. But anyways, I interviewed him
- 57:01on like episode 25 26 of the Christian read podcast and back
- 57:06then bear in mind. This was like the middle of the
- 57:09year. He was all my God.
- 57:12He was on 16k Right. I know it's amazing and now he's
- 57:19on 21k. So in the space of light Three
- 57:23months or a bit more. He's, you know, risen by at
- 57:27least five k and he told me that he only started to get Traction
- 57:34in 2019. So like, he'd been doing doing
- 57:37YouTube for years by that point, but it took him ages to get any
- 57:40kind of notice. But suddenly now he's got this
- 57:43big following, and people are constantly, not just checking
- 57:47him out and watching his videos but sharing his content.
- 57:50I see people just randomly or Like on Twitter like retweeting
- 57:54his staff saying hey go check this guy out, he's an awesome.
- 57:57That's what you need, that kind of organic promotion where you
- 58:01don't even have to ask people like they're already doing it
- 58:03for you. That's one thing I've changed
- 58:06recently. As I've started asking people to
- 58:08subscribe and like, and share and all that stuff, but just to
- 58:12get the idea in people's heads, that, hey, I want to do this.
- 58:14Seriously, I want this to go somewhere, but ultimately, it's
- 58:19up to the people, whether they or not, they want to do that,
- 58:21you know, if they feel How to do so.
- 58:25Doing pretty good. Actually, it's all right we're
- 58:28doing. Alright we're doing like it's
- 58:30just said that I should reach. 485 subscribers in five years
- 58:34time. Yeah I mean we had five thousand
- 58:39six hundred and six video views in the last 30 days. 500 and how
- 58:43many five thousand six hundred and six in the last 130 days
- 58:50Five Points. That's so that's so that's all
- 58:53just the music video. It, hold on.
- 58:57So it's like 2,500 wish for the music video.
- 59:02So, everything else is us not bad.
- 59:06So, 2500 views from other videos.
- 59:08Combined, that's pretty good 20:27 subscribers for the last
- 59:1330 days. Mmm, Yeah.
- 59:15We've had a spike ever since I finally enough, when I started
- 59:19asking people to subscribe I don't know what it is, but since
- 59:22that point people have started, like, I also uploaded a video
- 59:26link actually saying, Please Subscribe and I replace that
- 59:30with because originally when you go to my channel, it would show
- 59:33the advertising the channel trailer.
- 59:37That's the thing I'm looking for.
- 59:38Yeah, but I replaced it with a blue subscribe video.
- 59:41And I literally just did, you know, I spoke about like reasons
- 59:44that people should subscribe button to make it his own videos
- 59:48that I think people seem to like that.
- 59:51They like the honesty. Maybe yeah, I have goals with
- 59:54it. It's not just hey I want to make
- 59:56money. It's like I want to do this
- 59:57because I love to be creative. It's fun, but yeah, you got rich
- 1:00:05bass. Should start speeding up
- 1:00:06actually because in two months time it should be 500 546 4
- 1:00:13months, 6 and 11. I would love to know what this
- 1:00:16is based on though, to be honest because it's I mean, at least in
- 1:00:20five years, you'll be a 12th 1809 with the two million seven
- 1:00:25hundred seventy 1562 views. I have a feeling 750 into, you
- 1:00:37know, what's interesting actually is in the past month or
- 1:00:39so, I've had a feeling that we might actually pull it off like
- 1:00:43become successful with this, which I never felt before.
- 1:00:45I always felt like our it's a long shot as a shot in the dark,
- 1:00:48it all. You never happen.
- 1:00:50Now, I'm like really positive like, hey, this going to happen,
- 1:00:54I can feel it. It's weird.
- 1:00:58I think it's more because I'm really enjoying the fan and so
- 1:01:02fans I don't have fans, but you know what I mean?
- 1:01:04Like people that follow the interaction, especially in like
- 1:01:07the Instagram Live's, the YouTube live streams that we've
- 1:01:12started doing as well. People seem to have a lot of fun
- 1:01:15there, which makes me think that, you know, we're spinning
- 1:01:20to grow some sort of a community, which is what I've
- 1:01:22always wanted. That's the most important thing.
- 1:01:26Yeah yeah yeah anyways well PewDiePie is estimated yearly
- 1:01:31earnings and nine million, nine million, 10 million, nine
- 1:01:36million euro Jesus. He's first in the games section.
- 1:01:42He's first in the his first in the u.s. 21st and video views
- 1:01:46forth in subscriber forth. Yeah.
- 1:01:49Because T Series is way about. Have you seen how many Subs
- 1:01:53they've got T Series? We check so cute, 100 and 107
- 1:01:58million. So T Series is on like 105,
- 1:02:02know, 50, 150 subscribers. I think they, they make all my
- 1:02:06362 million. Yeah, they earn so much money,
- 1:02:12like waging 56 million a year. Mmm, and 130, sorry, no 13.1 a
- 1:02:21month. That's what makes the whole
- 1:02:24PewDiePie diversity. See Is an interesting.
- 1:02:26I know it was sort of a joke but at the same time like PewDiePie
- 1:02:29is is a legit just content created like the rest of us,
- 1:02:31right? Whereas T Series is like this
- 1:02:33whole brand essentially company and this is not really the same
- 1:02:39thing but it's a bit like when you see you know The Tonight
- 1:02:43Show doing clips on YouTube like it's it's not a YouTube account,
- 1:02:50you know? I mean it's just they're making
- 1:02:52bank from their TV show. Which is fine.
- 1:02:56But it's like I don't know. It's been unfair to the rest of
- 1:03:01us. I think that the same time at
- 1:03:04the nose fair game really, isn't it?
- 1:03:06I mean, I watch the clip sometimes I think it's kind of
- 1:03:09cool to have the clips from those shows because it's, you
- 1:03:12know, not everyone could be bothered to watch the whole
- 1:03:14show. Yeah, fair enough.
- 1:03:17I mean, Yeah, I do really well. Well, that's my social blade.
- 1:03:28Social blade, Adventures function.
- 1:03:31I think I think if you so crazy. How so?
- 1:03:37How can Peter pie mix so much money?
- 1:03:39Does he does he know what to do with it?
- 1:03:44Well, you know, what's interesting what you do with
- 1:03:46your bank account is filled with millions and millions and
- 1:03:48millions of what's interesting about, I reckon he does a lot of
- 1:03:51Charity stuff because especially in the last couple of years he's
- 1:03:55really got into it stoicism stoicism stoicism something like
- 1:04:00that but basically he's under this belief.
- 1:04:03I don't know if it's under Buddhism or something but he got
- 1:04:06rid of like loads of his stuff like physical possessions.
- 1:04:12Because of his beliefs and he's trying to live a kind of a
- 1:04:16minimalist, kind of Life. How do you live a minimalist
- 1:04:20life with like billions in your bank account?
- 1:04:24Okay, well, first of all, he doesn't have billions.
- 1:04:26And secondly he has loads of young like 89 million a year
- 1:04:31round about. He probably puts a long just
- 1:04:33sticking that's the first the first of all dude.
- 1:04:35Okay, his one thing you got, think about tax.
- 1:04:40He gets taxed a lot. On that.
- 1:04:42That's a first thing, right? He won't get all 89 million Hill
- 1:04:46called we get like what I mean, if you think the UK tax rate is
- 1:04:51typically 40 50 percent for higher earners, who aren't half
- 1:04:55that 40 million, I think none of the other videos that bank
- 1:05:00account true, but you still have to pay tax of some description
- 1:05:06Jeremy. You can't completely avoid it
- 1:05:08anyway. Well, I mean loads of people got
- 1:05:11done for tax avoidance schemes in the UK and he's the UK
- 1:05:14residents. I doubt he wants to get done
- 1:05:16especially because the bad press, it would bring.
- 1:05:18So I think We can sort of safely say that he's paying a statuses,
- 1:05:21you know, especially if he considering he's so much in the
- 1:05:24public eye and his his whole thing is about having a good
- 1:05:30rep. You know, I mean, like having a
- 1:05:32bad rep in his position especially especially with what
- 1:05:35happens a few years ago. I mean, he got some you got some
- 1:05:38bad PR so he's trying to get. He's trying to wreck.
- 1:05:42It wasn't even that bad as well. Like he shouldn't have said it,
- 1:05:44don't get me wrong. But as far as like things that
- 1:05:46people are bad, like it's not that bad.
- 1:05:49Came out on the street. We just said he didn't even
- 1:05:51know. It was, it was that contest of
- 1:05:52gaming like I can remember when I used to play Call of Duty
- 1:05:56years ago. When I was a teenager, people
- 1:05:57used to say a lot worse in the lobby.
- 1:05:59That's budge. Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:00No, no one. No, you think that's bad, man.
- 1:06:03You should have heard some of the stuff that I know what it's
- 1:06:05like, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Search and Destroy lobbies at
- 1:06:09all, it was way worse because the husband in the original in
- 1:06:12the OG days it was way worse. Trust me, Evan Black Ops 2.
- 1:06:16If you played some Search and Destroy it was forced game.
- 1:06:18Chat. So you weren't allowed to be in
- 1:06:20a party so you have to you you got some crap, 20 minutes.
- 1:06:27Yeah, if you if you if you guys killed in the stupidest way
- 1:06:30possible, you're going to hear about it.
- 1:06:33That's why they removed it in Black Ops 3.
- 1:06:37I think it was the voice track in general just like no forced
- 1:06:42getting chunks. So why was it important as well?
- 1:06:45I don't start. So, I like everyone had to talk
- 1:06:46to everyone. Regardless of team was
- 1:06:48something. Yeah, because you're in a party
- 1:06:51with someone on the enemy team. Like, if your friend is on the
- 1:06:54enemy team, we can give away Physicians.
- 1:06:56I don't know. Okay, without alerting the team.
- 1:07:02You find behind the he's behind you.
- 1:07:06Hey Oh, no, he isn't. Oh, yes, he is.
- 1:07:13Oh no, he isn't. I always used to love just
- 1:07:16killing someone with the pocket knife.
- 1:07:19Just fling it, especially if it will get the, the final kill
- 1:07:22like the girl on the killcam that.
- 1:07:23Oh yeah, the throwing down here. It was used to piss everyone
- 1:07:27off. It's great play.
- 1:07:31I don't play that much. Call of Duty anymore.
- 1:07:32I mostly play Battlefield and playing Battlefield Hardline at
- 1:07:35the minute, which is sort of the cops and robbers.
- 1:07:38Version of block out the battlefield because the salt I
- 1:07:43guess want to do something different.
- 1:07:44Yeah that's important to do that.
- 1:07:46I feel like ecology is always kind of the same thing every
- 1:07:48year to my mean it's a bit like sure you can run around doesn't
- 1:07:52operate it with it with Ma and ser and are ke.
- 1:07:55Mmm, what what I find most satisfying this when you either
- 1:08:00use like a smaller weapon like a knife or a baseball bat, you
- 1:08:06take them down. Yeah.
- 1:08:08Cuz they don't expect that you come in with a baton and slam
- 1:08:11them on the floor. And it's a blunt weapon, you can
- 1:08:15interrogate them, but if it's like a knife, you always do the
- 1:08:18Blendtec down, but you can also have heavy melee weapons which
- 1:08:23take a while to swing, but you can swing like a sledgehammer.
- 1:08:27A shovel as an inquisition sword.
- 1:08:31Golden Golf Club at people. What's your weapon of choice?
- 1:08:35Shovel shovel. Going to shovel him to death
- 1:08:40because after I do that the great with it, say smart
- 1:08:45thinking that you didn't think I did.
- 1:08:48Yeah. Well the man to take his
- 1:08:54creative genius. Okay.
- 1:08:57So lots, we're going to break into this ball.
- 1:09:00When you steal the money, we're going to get out nice and clean.
- 1:09:03Here you go and 4 & 4, & 4 and as your special West a pink
- 1:09:09shotgun or now for the my light weapons.
- 1:09:14You've got baseball, bat, you've got a life, you've got a
- 1:09:18sledgehammer and you even at the golden god Club Sledgehammer is
- 1:09:22so impractical so it really isn't because yeah it's fucking
- 1:09:26ages to go. Where's the basement?
- 1:09:30Quit? Oh, nice and quick.
- 1:09:33Because they because like the best one, but the hold it with
- 1:09:35one hand to the just sort of wonder if this.
- 1:09:37Yeah. Where is the sledgehammer?
- 1:09:38You have to like swing it behind you.
- 1:09:40Put all your weight into abided by that time.
- 1:09:42Someone's already shot. You today are for sliced, your
- 1:09:44innards out. Yeah.
- 1:09:45But you can you can sort of work out the timing so that like if
- 1:09:49someone is at the top of the stairs, you know, you're walking
- 1:09:52up the stairs, you can start with swing.
- 1:09:54And by the time you get that the top bonds dumb The noise it, the
- 1:10:01noise, it makes. Oh, I'm going to send you a link
- 1:10:04to you. Need to see it's I'll check it
- 1:10:09out after the podcast. Nice one.
- 1:10:12Oh, hey, as a kind of like a final question.
- 1:10:17Since December is approaching, I think this will drop this.
- 1:10:20Episode will drop early December.
- 1:10:25What do you think about how YouTube works or that?
- 1:10:30I guess if it even applies to to us small YouTubers, who haven't,
- 1:10:35who can't monetize their content?
- 1:10:37Because, you know, they talk about, you know, the PM rate,
- 1:10:40being really high in December. Do you think there's any
- 1:10:43benefits to small creators right now for December?
- 1:10:47Honestly, I've got no idea. I think there are enough.
- 1:10:52YouTube is A lot of bollocks really they don't they don't
- 1:10:59they don't care about the little guys, that is true.
- 1:11:04They just want to give all of the money to the people who
- 1:11:08bring them money. You bring them all of the
- 1:11:11friggin monetization money in the advert and things like that.
- 1:11:14They just want to get that piece and leave the little guys with
- 1:11:18the scraps. Yeah, It's Tricky is probably
- 1:11:22the hardest time. It's ever been to to become a
- 1:11:25successful career. If you've got under a hundred,
- 1:11:30three hundred, five hundred thousand.
- 1:11:33You can forget about it, there's no help from YouTube.
- 1:11:35He sure, I mean, I don't know, I've seen a lot of people that
- 1:11:38doing pretty good views for with that.
- 1:11:40There is many songs. If you've got the monetization,
- 1:11:43and you're getting recommended a lot, then they'll sort of keep
- 1:11:47an eye on you, but they won't give you per se because even
- 1:11:50even mine, like, okay, I'm yeah I'd barely any of you use, I'm
- 1:11:53on 500 Subs by, I've noticed that Some of my videos, do get
- 1:11:57suggested at least. So it's there is something going
- 1:12:01on my view. My videos, don't go suggests
- 1:12:05that how they will? They were, I think it depends on
- 1:12:08a couple of things. It's also the tags you're using
- 1:12:10and stuff and to a lesser extent, the sub-camp, I don't
- 1:12:15think the sub count is as relevant.
- 1:12:17I think it's more to do with, with your tags and your
- 1:12:19hashtags. All that crap.
- 1:12:21Starts haven't checked my YouTube Studio on a while,
- 1:12:24actually. Second Q&A, video I did is on 8
- 1:12:28News. Hey, they go.
- 1:12:31And since watch calculation was coming out I made a Watchdogs
- 1:12:34video which has got only 37 years that's pretty good.
- 1:12:38But say your QA is get more views than mine do.
- 1:12:41So and what although In fairness minor like super long, however,
- 1:12:47prank the pranking, my dad video, guys, they'll go in up
- 1:12:50its on 124 views. Yeah, that makes sense because
- 1:12:54it's a very generic kind of Of title to have pranking my dad.
- 1:12:57And I mean people probably post videos like that all the time.
- 1:13:00So it's and my God, the the rise and fall of Brothers Band of
- 1:13:07video that I made Slowly gaining, but now it's 170 volts.
- 1:13:16Yeah, that happens. I've had a few videos that have
- 1:13:18had something like that. Where I uploaded them at first,
- 1:13:21there was Zero interest. And now they're like creeping up
- 1:13:24getting views here, and I'm certain that it's based purely
- 1:13:28on the tags, the title stuff like that, you know, nothing
- 1:13:31else. Now, if you use of dropped by
- 1:13:3561% of watch x, dropped by 55% You just haven't been uploading.
- 1:13:40That's fine. Again, one subscriber last 28
- 1:13:43days, so once nice, that's good epic.
- 1:13:48It's be being able to gain subscribers and Views when
- 1:13:51you're not uploading. That's impressive.
- 1:13:53You know, that's kind of what I hope for because if I have like
- 1:13:55times where I'm not uploading, I want my channel to still be
- 1:13:58performing for me, you know? I mean, that would be ideal.
- 1:14:02It's part of the reason why I upload so much is to build like
- 1:14:05a base of content, you know? I mean so, But anyways, I can
- 1:14:13see. I can see some of my recent
- 1:14:15subscribers and one of them is someone from school so that all
- 1:14:18mm. Yeah, I can't even see mine.
- 1:14:21I don't know what it is about mine but most of mine, I guess a
- 1:14:23private you just go on your dashboard will go along.
- 1:14:26Yeah. I've so I've seen but most of
- 1:14:28them don't make themselves like publicly visible.
- 1:14:32It's because they need to be an actual channel.
- 1:14:35So they need to have at least uploaded once to be A natural
- 1:14:39channel. So that otherwise this because
- 1:14:41like there's an account and there's a channel and account,
- 1:14:45it's just like a video that you would, it's just as yeah, I
- 1:14:48don't even watch his videos. So I've got a lot.
- 1:14:50I've got a lot of subscribers that don't upload basically, and
- 1:14:53just have account. Yeah, that's fine.
- 1:14:56Because Malik sir somehow has one subscriber actually?
- 1:14:59No. No, I'm going to go to subscribe
- 1:15:00to. Faster.
- 1:15:03Faster. There are YouTubers out there
- 1:15:05that have not uploaded a single video but have like hundreds of
- 1:15:08thousands of subscribers that's kind of a bit nuts.
- 1:15:11There's like a whole thing to it as well, that people want to
- 1:15:14know what really sort of puts me down.
- 1:15:17I'm gone. Is that, like people are wary on
- 1:15:20Instagram about following people because they want their
- 1:15:22followers to remain low, right? So they want that following to
- 1:15:25remain low, you know what with YouTube?
- 1:15:29It doesn't say how much. You're subscribed to people.
- 1:15:36Like it doesn't. If it is irrelevant though, what
- 1:15:38does it matter? Because they've got literally no
- 1:15:42reason not to subscribe. Would you mean because like on
- 1:15:47Instagram it tells you how many people you're following.
- 1:15:50And people normally want to keep the followers higher than the
- 1:15:54following. Yeah.
- 1:15:56Right. And with YouTube, there is no
- 1:15:58number because like no one cares about that.
- 1:16:03Yeah. It's like like, oh well, I mean,
- 1:16:08it's all over. It's going to do is put them in
- 1:16:11my subscription box, it doesn't in.
- 1:16:13Nobody can see how many people obviously Up to, so they have no
- 1:16:16reason not to subscribe to you, they just don't, I don't know
- 1:16:21YouTubers. I mean, I remember having a chat
- 1:16:24with trial by fire Aaron Wise about this, and he kind of made
- 1:16:30the point that, you know, gaining a subscription from
- 1:16:33someone is a lot tougher these days because it used to be that
- 1:16:36you just do it out of like habit.
- 1:16:38But these days, I mean, chances are, you're probably subscribe
- 1:16:41to a lot of channels that you and you watch.
- 1:16:45A fraction of them on a regular basis, right?
- 1:16:47So subscribing to someone and also like, turning on the
- 1:16:51notifications and stuff. It can be.
- 1:16:53I remember, I remember back when I didn't upload videos, I used
- 1:16:56to Rose. I saw a video on my subscription
- 1:16:59and my recommended and watch it. I kind of enjoy it, so like
- 1:17:03that. And I subscribe to them.
- 1:17:04That's it. I've been thinking.
- 1:17:07Should I start? Yeah.
- 1:17:08But it did it. I'm saying, is this like it
- 1:17:10gives you lots of notifications if you tend to are you can turn
- 1:17:12the notifications off and stuff but that's what I've done.
- 1:17:14I've done. Is no notification budges on
- 1:17:17YouTube. Otherwise the people thousand
- 1:17:22percent of the budget is. I'm not sure if you do this as
- 1:17:24well, this is this Torres. This is my home screen here.
- 1:17:29And as you can see these red badges on my notifications.
- 1:17:34Yeah. And they're only on apps, where
- 1:17:38the notifications are important, like, WhatsApp, Instagram,
- 1:17:43things like that. But for game, Games and Things
- 1:17:46That Just pump out loads of notifications from all the.
- 1:17:48I hate that so much like Gmail and games and YouTube, whether
- 1:17:53or not that important I just turn them off.
- 1:17:55Yeah, same II don't understand why they send you so many as
- 1:17:58well. Anyway, it's like I don't give a
- 1:17:59fuck. I got Pokemon go.
- 1:18:00Okay, such as doing this. Yeah, I got Pokemon go again
- 1:18:04recently and I had to turn off the sign the subscriptions for
- 1:18:07that and so the notifications for that you think Pokemon go
- 1:18:10was worth getting. Whose eye is mean, I have
- 1:18:14trouble trouble quite a bit. I mean, it's fine if you just
- 1:18:16want to kill a couple of minutes, but I don't I don't
- 1:18:20know, I'm not gonna, I'm gonna get it.
- 1:18:22I haven't had it back in 2016. When it first came out, I paid
- 1:18:27it for like, a couple of months. And then, again, me to the
- 1:18:30board, Because like, I understand why people want it
- 1:18:37because it just like you said, it kills loads of time really
- 1:18:40quickly. So I get bored of it quickly
- 1:18:44though. You know, I mean I remember when
- 1:18:50I first came out, it was around the time where my mom got
- 1:18:52married and I was the sort of wedding place.
- 1:18:56We stayed there for like a night.
- 1:18:58I think it was, and I mean, look, cousin was sat outside the
- 1:19:04front shortly before the recession started, and we were
- 1:19:09trying to get Pokemon go to work.
- 1:19:11We would make a neck, make it trying to make an account, and
- 1:19:14try to do, literally try and try, literally everything to
- 1:19:18make it work. They just would not budge with.
- 1:19:21So we uninstalled it reinstalled, it turned off the
- 1:19:25Wi-Fi, turn the Wi-Fi back on, turn the debtor of, turn it back
- 1:19:29on, and it was having none of it.
- 1:19:32Hmm. So eventually we just bought of
- 1:19:35both sort of looked at each other and just when you want to
- 1:19:38go get some drinks. Yeah, sure.
- 1:19:41She went over to our grandma, got some jttours or she calls a
- 1:19:44Jato Rockets. I'm a bit.
- 1:19:49That's, that's the that's the go-to drink.
- 1:19:50When you're in, you're too young to drink alcohol.
- 1:19:52Joe to oath. They even if you deliberately
- 1:19:55causing it, she calls a Jell-O Jell-O.
- 1:19:58They deliberately shape it. Like an alcoholic, drink as
- 1:20:01well. Just to rub it in even further.
- 1:20:02The not I don't think it's that I think it's just a well-known
- 1:20:06fact that everything tastes better out of the glass bowl
- 1:20:09crew could szostak bottles and man cans of food unless it's
- 1:20:14monster but glass bottles and the bomb the bomb, the bomb,
- 1:20:21man. It's blast glass, milk glass
- 1:20:25glass of milk and you know what? You normally getting the gospels
- 1:20:30and move, No, no. You're old enough to remember
- 1:20:32that? No, no, I was in the fucking 50s
- 1:20:37or some shit on it. That's my point.
- 1:20:39Yeah, I'm 27 not 48, mine. You forget, I was born in 93,
- 1:20:48mate, wasn't that? I mean, if you think about it,
- 1:20:52you're only like 11 years older than me.
- 1:20:58Doesn't fall 1980 in 2004. I would have been 10 or 11 years
- 1:21:05old. Yeah so you like 10 or 11 years
- 1:21:07old? Yeah, that much. that's why this
- 1:21:11crossover, I mean, because my eldest brother is 15.
- 1:21:17I think. So he's very similar in mindset
- 1:21:20to you well, though. Now, no actually you're very
- 1:21:23different as people. I would say.
- 1:21:26But the ability to be able to talk to him and talk to you is
- 1:21:30very different. I feel very like I have a lot in
- 1:21:32common with you and I can talk to you whereas, with him, it's
- 1:21:35like, he's on a different planet, honestly, but we get on.
- 1:21:38He's a smart kid. He's intelligent.
- 1:21:40He's interesting and all that, right?
- 1:21:42But there is a disconnect there, and that's why I feel like I'm
- 1:21:47an adult now because it's like, there's a cross off a cut-off
- 1:21:50point where if I talk to someone that's younger than a certain
- 1:21:54age it's like I just there's nothing to talk about.
- 1:21:56I just I don't know what, I don't know what you're talking
- 1:21:57about, I don't know how to relate to you.
- 1:21:59I feel like if I say certain things, it makes me sound
- 1:22:03ancient, which I hate. I mean, this is kind of weird
- 1:22:07because even though I'm 16, I enjoy all the things.
- 1:22:13Yeah. Like, like good old stuff.
- 1:22:16Mmm, it was the same when I was your age.
- 1:22:19My music taste is mostly stuff out of the 60s. 70s 80s.
- 1:22:24Hmm. So not that Martin shy, that's
- 1:22:28all that's all mixed on a computer.
- 1:22:30Like, actual actual music that was made with guitars pianos and
- 1:22:35keyboards. Yeah, ones not the medicine.
- 1:22:43Yeah. It's a bit like it.
- 1:22:44Making a song nowadays. Re just so 1, so 2.
- 1:22:51So 3 done. Yeah, so and it's bonus long.
- 1:23:00It's very now bottom. It took me 15 minutes done.
- 1:23:03All right, I call this album does not compute whoo-hoo, get
- 1:23:09it because it really was a says Nah.
- 1:23:17Anyway, yeah. No, I don't like that.
- 1:23:22You should do that video. They find that now even a little
- 1:23:26grin. I think.
- 1:23:27So, however, the banner because it's got black face in it, I as
- 1:23:34I'm saying with come not, come fly with me.
- 1:23:37Yeah, fly with me. Yeah, I don't know where I stand
- 1:23:41on that whole thing. I think I can see why people
- 1:23:43think it's offensive is invisible, but at the same time,
- 1:23:45I don't know if I would fully. I mean, I don't remember like
- 1:23:50when it came out. I don't remember people.

- 1:23:58He's good girl sponsored by Stalin.
- 1:24:03Did you know there's a subreddit on Reddit for dogs?
- 1:24:07Just dogs. Flash dogs, dogs are dogs.
- 1:24:14I don't get it so much. I don't get it so much but I'm

- 1:24:37saying, Something big that's coming out in December.
- 1:24:42What did the YouTube across the road?
- 1:24:45I don't know deals. Why did the YouTube across the
- 1:24:48road? He was trying to get
- 1:24:50monetization when you got hit by a car.
- 1:24:54You should have said monetized. I would have been funny.
- 1:24:59You was trying to get monetization but he shall get
- 1:25:02monetized. Now, on a serious note, you

- 1:25:26want to build Christmas because I know it's different.
- 1:25:30Mmm, most of my viewers are English so they don't know what
- 1:25:34the Dutch culture is when it comes to Christmas, but also a
- 1:25:39kind of just one and enjoy Christmas with my family.
- 1:25:43You could just, I don't know. You could do like a series of
- 1:25:46videos. He doesn't have to be at
- 1:25:49Christmas but just like showing Dutch culture in at Christmas
- 1:25:54time and then just release them over the pre-scheduled them over
- 1:25:56the period. While you're just enjoying, you
- 1:25:59know, time with your family. So recorder is that is Christmas
- 1:26:04Eve and Christmas Day. Not exactly like just showing
- 1:26:07like okay like for example right in Estonia.
- 1:26:10Hello it's dutch Dad. This is you know they had Things
- 1:26:17like things that you can only get at Christmas, they have like
- 1:26:20these gingerbreads right which I, swear to God, I can't find
- 1:26:23them in England, but they are so Moorish.
- 1:26:26So addictive, and it's just a Christmasy thing as part of
- 1:26:30Christmas in Estonia. I'm sure in, you know, the
- 1:26:33Netherlands. They've got like Christmas Eve
- 1:26:34foods thing. Yeah, it's mostly, it's mostly
- 1:26:37things with marzipan. Yeah, typical mostly, yeah.
- 1:26:43Well anyway, I'm sure there's stuff there.
- 1:26:44That's culturally specific. To the don't read, what's on
- 1:26:49that? That's not even here.

- 1:27:15supporters on my YouTube channel, I will remove them as a
- 1:27:17subscriber myself. I don't even care.
