- 0:06Speaker 1: This is America with Rich Valdez, powered by politiweek.com.
- 0:11Speaker 2: And Rich Valdez is with us, former Christie administration official.
- 0:13Speaker 3: You work for Chris Christie, you've been in politics, a
- 0:15Speaker 3: lot of public service stuff.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Rich Valdez, columnist now with the Washington Times.
- 0:19Speaker 1: This is America.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Richie V, you're on the air with The Nation.
- 0:23Speaker 1: This is America with your host, Rich Valdez.
- 0:26Speaker 3: What's up, America?
- 0:27Speaker 4: I am Rich Valdez, Valdez with an S, at Rich
- 0:30Speaker 4: Valdez on all of the social media. I'm the host
- 0:32Speaker 4: of Rich Valdez. This is America. And I used to
- 0:35Speaker 4: be Mr. Call Screener right here on this very show.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Welcome to the Mark Levin Show, 877-381-3811, 877-381-3811. Mark Levin
- 0:40Speaker 4: is alive and well, and he will be with you
- 0:41Speaker 4: on Monday. Speaking of which.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Don't miss Life, Liberty, and Levin. Brand new episode tomorrow.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Mark Levin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu one-on-one. Don't miss it.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Then on Sunday, he goes one-on-one with Newt Gingrich. You
- 1:00Speaker 4: want to catch those because that's key, right? It's key
- 1:03Speaker 4: to listen to Newt right before an election. Mr. Contracted
- 1:07Speaker 4: with America himself right before an election. It's 18 days away,
- 1:11Speaker 4: 18 days away from us deciding, are we going to
- 1:16Speaker 4: succumb to the threat that is a afoot? Or are
- 1:20Speaker 4: we going to choose America? Are we choosing the commies
- 1:24Speaker 4: or are we choosing the patriots? That's really what it
- 1:26Speaker 4: comes down to, right? Now, just before the break and
- 1:31Speaker 4: kicking off this third most robust hour of the program,
- 1:34Speaker 4: I was talking about the Democrat Socialists of America and
- 1:38Speaker 4: their candidate, Dalia Lisa Avila Chevalier. And she did an
- 1:43Speaker 4: interview yesterday with Politico, saying that she could teach the
- 1:48Speaker 4: regular Democrats a thing or two. And listen to what
- 1:52Speaker 4: she had to say.
- 1:53Speaker 5: What we're seeing right now is in blue districts, people,
- 1:56Speaker 5: to your point, are winning, are electing Democratic socialists, right?
- 2:00Speaker 5: They're electing Justice Democrats candidates. And it's because we're actually
- 2:04Speaker 5: presenting a vision, a vision for how do we move forward.
- 2:07Speaker 5: And it's no longer just, oh, the.
- 2:09Speaker 6: Republicans are bad.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Yes, the Republicans are bad. The Republicans are the ones
- 2:12Speaker 5: who are cutting SNAP and Medicaid and making life harder
- 2:16Speaker 5: for working people, the ones who are continuing these wars.
- 2:18Speaker 7: That nobody wants.
- 2:19Speaker 5: And we need Democrats who are actually going to stand
- 2:22Speaker 5: up to them, who are going to present a vision
- 2:25Speaker 5: for how do we move forward, a vision for how
- 2:27Speaker 5: we address health care in this country, for how we
- 2:29Speaker 5: address child care, how we address housing, all of the
- 2:32Speaker 5: crises that people across this country are facing.
- 2:35Speaker 8: Do you think you guys have done a better job
- 2:37Speaker 8: at that than like the Democratic Party at large from
- 2:40Speaker 8: a national perspective?
- 2:41Speaker 5: Absolutely. I mean, I think we're actually presenting bold visions
- 2:45Speaker 5: and we are not, you know, taking excuses, right, for
- 2:50Speaker 5: why these things can't happen.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Bold vision. Bold like no more jail. Bold like no
- 2:56Speaker 4: more Senate. Bold like everybody gets health care for free. Now, listen,
- 3:02Speaker 4: this is not me towing the line. This is years
- 3:06Speaker 4: and years of testing this stuff. Right? If you're listening
- 3:10Speaker 4: to this show for the first time tonight, welcome. Great show.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Glad you're here. If you've listened to this show before,
- 3:16Speaker 4: you've probably heard me before. And you've learned a lot
- 3:19Speaker 4: from the great one. I've hosted this show for a
- 3:23Speaker 4: number of years now. And one of the times I
- 3:24Speaker 4: was here before had a caller from Canada call in.
- 3:28Speaker 4: And they're all archived. You know, you could go to MarkLevinShow.com
- 3:31Speaker 4: and find the days that I've been here over the years.
- 3:33Speaker 4: But the point is, The guy calls from Canada and
- 3:36Speaker 4: he says, do you know what we do when we
- 3:41Speaker 4: have serious cardiac problems? And I said, what? And he said,
- 3:47Speaker 4: we sneak into Detroit and go to the ER. Think
- 3:52Speaker 4: about that for one second, please. The Canadians in their
- 3:56Speaker 4: free health care, they know this is a game of
- 4:02Speaker 4: Russian roulette, life or death. When they have heart problems,
- 4:08Speaker 4: they know that you can walk into any hospital, public
- 4:11Speaker 4: or private, and you will not be turned away in
- 4:14Speaker 4: an ER. Whether you have money or not, whether you
- 4:18Speaker 4: have insurance or not, they're going to give you the
- 4:20Speaker 4: care that you need here in the United States. And
- 4:24Speaker 4: because they know that, they do that. Now you tell me,
- 4:32Speaker 4: you may try and strive for this perfect system. I've
- 4:37Speaker 4: heard people tell me, listen, man, I was in Europe once.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I was in Mexico. I was here. I went to
- 4:41Speaker 4: a little storefront, and they just took care of me.
- 4:43Speaker 4: I cut my leg. I needed stitches, whatever it was, right?
- 4:48Speaker 4: I will still opt to get sick in America versus
- 4:51Speaker 4: anywhere else. A friend of mine right now, I call
- 4:54Speaker 4: him Ruben the Cuban. You've heard me talk about him before.
- 4:56Speaker 4: If you listen to my show, you definitely have heard
- 4:58Speaker 4: about him. Listen to this. Ruben is in Cuba right now.
- 5:02Speaker 4: He left yesterday, Thursday. His brother became ill. He went
- 5:07Speaker 4: to help his brother out, but more so, he went
- 5:09Speaker 4: to make sure they had the adequate supplies to help
- 5:13Speaker 4: his brother out because he spoke offline with the doctor.
- 5:19Speaker 4: And the doctor told him, listen, we don't always have power.
- 5:23Speaker 4: We have a generator, but it doesn't always work. If
- 5:27Speaker 4: you want your brother to get the best care, you
- 5:28Speaker 4: need to get some stuff. You're over there in the States.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Get me this. Get me gauze. Get me gloves. Get
- 5:33Speaker 4: me gloves. I don't know if you heard that part.
- 5:37Speaker 4: This gentleman had bowel surgery on his colon. A piece
- 5:43Speaker 4: of it was removed. And the doctor, the surgeon is
- 5:47Speaker 4: telling him, bring me gloves. That means he can't get them.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You want to tell me, you want to tell me
- 5:57Speaker 4: that their system, the Cuban system, the Canadian system, the
- 6:03Speaker 4: Darialisa Avila Chevalier system, is better than the system in America?
- 6:09Speaker 4: And it's not because it's the American system. It's because
- 6:13Speaker 4: at the end of the day, just the way insurance works, right?
- 6:16Speaker 4: Enough people pay into insurance that when you crash, the
- 6:19Speaker 4: insurance company can afford to pay out the claim, not
- 6:23Speaker 4: go broke, and continue being happy. Same way. Everybody can
- 6:29Speaker 4: do well. Now, we've created a system where insurance companies
- 6:33Speaker 4: rule the roost, And we're pricing doctors out of the
- 6:36Speaker 4: market where they can't make any money because the other
- 6:39Speaker 4: guys are so busy making the money. And this is
- 6:41Speaker 4: a problem. And there's a lot of problems in our country. Now,
- 6:46Speaker 4: I agree. If you have health problems and you don't
- 6:49Speaker 4: have health insurance, it's scary navigating that system. But I'd
- 6:54Speaker 4: rather navigate the American system than the system anywhere else.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Because in a system where you're expected to get free
- 7:02Speaker 4: health care, You get put on waiting lists or what
- 7:06Speaker 4: we can call dying lists. You end up like my
- 7:10Speaker 4: friends in Canada saying they're sneaking into Michigan to get
- 7:14Speaker 4: health care and an ER in America. Not a future
- 7:18Speaker 4: I want. That's not the America I want. But that
- 7:20Speaker 4: seems to be the America that we have.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:24Speaker 4: That's the America that's on the table right now in
- 7:28Speaker 4: 18 days in Election Day.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:31Speaker 4: The left poses a threat to this country and equally
- 7:36Speaker 4: Trump's agenda poses a threat to the left, to their scheme,
- 7:41Speaker 4: to prostitute climate change, to manipulate people into giving the
- 7:45Speaker 4: green new deal a chance and promoting their economic agenda.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Cause that's what it's really all about. The Trump agenda
- 7:54Speaker 4: is a threat to the open borders politicians that have
- 7:58Speaker 4: spent a last, I don't know, generation importing the next
- 8:02Speaker 4: generation of sex slaves. And indentured servants right here in
- 8:06Speaker 4: the United States.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Right?
- 8:08Speaker 4: Because who opened up those floodgates? Mayorkas?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Biden?
- 8:13Speaker 4: Kamala Harris? Kim Malairis?
- 8:17Speaker 1: MAGA.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Trumpism. Whatever you want to call it. America first. And
- 8:23Speaker 4: I'm not using them all interchangeably because I understand MAGA
- 8:25Speaker 4: and America first are now at odds. But it's a
- 8:29Speaker 4: threat to the left. It creates an American people that
- 8:37Speaker 4: are so economically prosperous that they don't have to rely
- 8:42Speaker 4: on Uncle Sam or Daria Lisa or AOC or El
- 8:47Speaker 4: Sayed or Tallarico. They don't need Uncle Sam for their provision.
- 8:53Speaker 4: People that ultimately believe that their providence comes from God
- 8:57Speaker 4: and the health that he's given us to provide for
- 8:59Speaker 4: our families. And I understand sometimes people don't have good
- 9:03Speaker 4: health and they can't provide. But they're not in the majority.
- 9:07Speaker 4: And I'm not saying to hell with them either. We
- 9:09Speaker 4: have the best social safety net out there as long
- 9:11Speaker 4: as we can make sure it's for Americans. Not every
- 9:15Speaker 4: last person that's passing through. And this is what is
- 9:21Speaker 4: in front of us. This is the question at hand.
- 9:25Speaker 4: And I've got to ask you, and I've asked this
- 9:26Speaker 4: many times on this show. Do you want the November 3rd,
- 9:31Speaker 4: 4th show, whichever one it is, right after Election Day,
- 9:35Speaker 4: to be the show where we say adios to America,
- 9:40Speaker 4: to the America we knew? No more police departments. No
- 9:45Speaker 4: more United States Senate. No more jails. Just look at
- 9:53Speaker 4: New York. New York's got criminals running all over the place.
- 9:56Speaker 4: An off-duty cop was stabbed 10 times. 10 times. Telling him,
- 10:01Speaker 4: I'm a cop. I'm a detective. Let me go. To
- 10:04Speaker 4: get his chain. Dominican cop, too. His family's from Dominican Republic.
- 10:09Speaker 4: And the guys who robbed him were from the Dominican Republic.
- 10:13Speaker 4: And I think they're both illegal aliens. Go figure. So
- 10:19Speaker 4: when Donald Trump comes down that golden escalator in 2015
- 10:24Speaker 4: and says that the people coming across the border are
- 10:28Speaker 4: the people that they don't want south of the border.
- 10:32Speaker 4: He says they're sending us their rapists, their murderers. Was
- 10:36Speaker 4: he wrong? Or was he 10 years ahead of the curve? Exactly.
- 10:43Speaker 4: 10 years ahead of the curve it was. And now
- 10:47Speaker 4: here we are. Flirting with it, with Mamdani. Flirting with it,
- 10:52Speaker 4: with Tallarico. Flirting with Varializa, Avila, Chevalier. Flirting with AOC
- 10:58Speaker 4: for president, right? All out crazy. You have got to
- 11:03Speaker 4: be kidding me. So, I'll leave you with a thought.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Is that really the America you want? These midterms matter
- 11:13Speaker 4: way more than you think. Go into your call straight ahead.
- 11:17Speaker 4: We have calls from New York, from Pennsylvania, and more.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I'm Rich Valdez.
- 11:21Speaker 1: This is America. This is America. He's brown, he's bald,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and he's breaking it down.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Oh, he's so handsome. What's his name? Rich Valdez. All right, amigos,
- 11:38Speaker 4: welcome back. Rich Valdez keeping you company tonight. I'm in
- 11:41Speaker 4: for the great one, Mark Levin. This is the Mark
- 11:42Speaker 4: Levin Show, 877-381-3811. And I want to get into a
- 11:47Speaker 4: bunch of things, a couple of things that Trump said
- 11:49Speaker 4: today with respect to the White House press secretary and
- 11:53Speaker 4: a couple other things that are going on. But I
- 11:56Speaker 4: want to go to your calls because I said I
- 11:59Speaker 4: was going to, and I like to be a man
- 12:00Speaker 4: of my word. So let us do this. We're going
- 12:03Speaker 4: to go to Pinky calling us from Clifton Park, New York.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Go right ahead. You're on with Rich Valdez.
- 12:09Speaker 7: Hey, Rich.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 12:12Speaker 4: I know you. This is Jane from WGDJ, Paul Vandenberg Country.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Go ahead, Jane.
- 12:20Speaker 9: Yes, thank you. First of all, I want to mention
- 12:22Speaker 9: Bernie Sanders. He's the biggest crook God ever put on
- 12:26Speaker 9: the face of the earth. He goes in. I used
- 12:29Speaker 9: to work as a counselor for child abuse. He'll go
- 12:35Speaker 9: in people who want to become independent and find jobs.
- 12:40Speaker 9: If a person gives up their subsidized housing, the first
- 12:43Speaker 9: thing Sanders does is step in and say, oh, you
- 12:47Speaker 9: want to be independent?
- 12:49Speaker 7: Good.
- 12:49Speaker 9: I'm going to take away your medical, your mental health,
- 12:52Speaker 9: your dental. You really want to step away from us
- 12:56Speaker 9: helping or giving you money?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Just keep them on the dole.
- 13:01Speaker 9: Yes, exactly.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:03Speaker 4: And you see, Jane, this is exactly how the communists work.
- 13:06Speaker 4: They want you so desperately dependent on them that you
- 13:10Speaker 4: have no other options, and it is absolutely horrific the
- 13:15Speaker 4: way they do things. Thank you for sharing that, because
- 13:16Speaker 4: I know that you had mentioned that you'd worked up
- 13:18Speaker 4: in Vermont before, but I didn't know that that was
- 13:21Speaker 4: the level of coercion that they use with people. So
- 13:24Speaker 4: thank you for that, Jane. Good to hear your voice.
- 13:26Speaker 4: God bless you. Hope to talk to you again soon.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Let us continue to Sayre, Pennsylvania, and check in with Susan. Susan,
- 13:35Speaker 4: you're on with Rich Valdez.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Rich, if you're back and long-term love of listening to you,
- 13:43Speaker 6: I just realized, Susan from Brooklyn, I'm now in Pennsylvania.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh, Susan from Brooklyn, how are you?
- 13:52Speaker 6: I'm hanging in there, and I'm fired up, and I
- 13:55Speaker 6: turned on the radio. I'm going to be listening to
- 13:58Speaker 6: you every night. But the main thing I just heard
- 14:01Speaker 6: you say, which got me charged up about charter school's
- 14:06Speaker 6: God bless you. I know that you and I always
- 14:09Speaker 6: had that connection because that's how I even got interested
- 14:13Speaker 6: in politics, was living in Brooklyn and got involved with
- 14:19Speaker 6: getting the charter school bill passed. In New York State,
- 14:23Speaker 6: I was with the John Faso in the 98s. That
- 14:27Speaker 6: whole thing. Now, here's fast forward. The Democratic Socialists, Mondami,
- 14:33Speaker 6: that crowd, they want to get rid of charter schools
- 14:37Speaker 6: because they.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Sure, because it threatens the unions.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Church unions.
- 14:41Speaker 7: Yes.
- 14:42Speaker 6: So those charter schools, even during COVID.
- 14:47Speaker 9: They stayed open.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Those kids, many of them are getting scholarships.
- 14:53Speaker 10: The.
- 14:54Speaker 6: But, you know, the school in Harlem there, the, oh, gosh.
- 15:00Speaker 7: Uncommon?
- 15:01Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 15:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 6: How those kids are getting scholarships and going on in
- 15:07Speaker 6: their majority minority. So I want to get in touch
- 15:11Speaker 6: with you because I think we got to.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Absolutely. But I would love to have a chat with
- 15:16Speaker 4: you about this is something I'm very passionate about. And
- 15:18Speaker 4: you're 100 percent right. This is, for many people, the
- 15:20Speaker 4: beginning of their political activism career. because they realize that uh...
- 15:26Speaker 4: the great equalizer is education and when you realize that
- 15:30Speaker 4: i could send this money with the child to a
- 15:33Speaker 4: public school uh... or i could send it to a
- 15:36Speaker 4: public charter school right because it's still the same if
- 15:39Speaker 4: they're both public schools this one is operated by the
- 15:41Speaker 4: district the one is operate about charter and when you
- 15:43Speaker 4: start to see the outcomes and i would say in
- 15:46Speaker 4: more cases than not these outcomes uh... surpass uh... the
- 15:50Speaker 4: the district operated schools in many areas it becomes clear
- 15:53Speaker 4: And that's why there's a lottery and there's a waiting
- 15:56Speaker 4: list for these schools because they outperform the others. So
- 15:59Speaker 4: great point, Susan. Thank you. I will grab your number
- 16:01Speaker 4: from our call screener and I'll definitely get in touch
- 16:03Speaker 4: with you. And before we go, I want to continue
- 16:06Speaker 4: with Frank. Frank is in Clearwater, Florida. Frank, you're on
- 16:09Speaker 4: with Rich Valdez. Mark Levin show.
- 16:12Speaker 7: Thank you for taking my call. And I was going
- 16:15Speaker 7: to call you at six o'clock when you came on
- 16:17Speaker 7: talking about inflation and all like that. And I agree
- 16:21Speaker 7: with a thousand percent of what you said. We have
- 16:24Speaker 7: to take our glasses off and look at the reality
- 16:28Speaker 7: of Iran, who's been coming after us.
- 16:30Speaker 8: For 45 years plus.
- 16:32Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:33Speaker 8: But the problem I have is we've been winning this
- 16:37Speaker 8: war since March 15th. I'm a Trump supporter, but I
- 16:41Speaker 8: think we're going to get our butts kicked so bad
- 16:43Speaker 8: in November because sometimes you can't shut his mouth.
- 16:47Speaker 7: He's been telling us.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Listen, I don't know that it's anything that Trump is doing.
- 16:51Speaker 4: That is harming us, right? I mean, if anything, President
- 16:54Speaker 4: Trump took the absolute high road here saying, look, we
- 16:57Speaker 4: have to stand up for American interests. We're doing the
- 16:59Speaker 4: right thing in Iran. We're going to do it right.
- 17:01Speaker 4: And we're going to do it once and for all.
- 17:03Speaker 4: And I'm not going to play politics with it and
- 17:04Speaker 4: do it before the midterm election. Of course, me, Rich Valdez,
- 17:08Speaker 4: I'm saying, Mr. President, A, please end the war before
- 17:12Speaker 4: the midterms. B, hire me for press secretary, right? Come on. Anyway,
- 17:17Speaker 4: thanks for the call, my brother. I appreciate it. We're
- 17:19Speaker 4: going to get to the rest of your calls and more.
- 17:21Speaker 4: I see more people on the line. Don't go anywhere.
- 17:23Speaker 4: It's Rich Valdez.
- 17:23Speaker 3: This is America.
- 17:24Speaker 1: This is America. This is America.
- 17:45Speaker 4: President Donald J.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Trump, Mr.
- 17:46Speaker 4: President, welcome to the.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Program, sir. Well, thank you, Rich, and thank you for everything.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I know you very well, and I listen, but I
- 17:54Speaker 2: have a lot of people that listen.
- 17:55Speaker 6: And they love your show, and I appreciate it very much.
- 17:58Speaker 4: All right, amigos, welcome back. Rich Valdez keeping you company.
- 18:01Speaker 4: It's Friday night. We're letting our hair down. You know
- 18:03Speaker 4: how I do with my hair. The phone number is 877-381-3811.
- 18:07Speaker 4: This is the Mark Levin Show. I'm filling in for
- 18:10Speaker 4: the great one tonight. Always an honor when the great
- 18:12Speaker 4: one says, Richie, can you fill in for me? I said, yes, sir. Yes, sir.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Mark Levin is the dean, as Rudy Giuliani called him,
- 18:19Speaker 4: the general.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:21Speaker 4: He is the leader of the vast right wing conspiracy.
- 18:25Speaker 4: And I couldn't be prouder to be on this show.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Let me tell you. Now, we're going to continue our
- 18:31Speaker 4: conversation on a lot of different items. One of the
- 18:34Speaker 4: things I want to get into and I'm going to
- 18:35Speaker 4: get to your calls for sure. I see that there's
- 18:37Speaker 4: a few people holding on. Don't go anywhere. We're getting
- 18:39Speaker 4: to you momentarily. But I also want to give a
- 18:41Speaker 4: quick shout-out to all the veterans who have served this country.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Of course, our hearts always go out to those that
- 18:47Speaker 4: have fallen and, of course, those that have served. You know,
- 18:49Speaker 4: my brother Robert Valdez is a Marine, and he's no
- 18:53Speaker 4: longer with us. But I have a lot of dear
- 18:56Speaker 4: friends that have served this country in uniform and many
- 18:58Speaker 4: of you out there, my radio familia. So I always
- 19:00Speaker 4: want to take a moment to thank you and salute
- 19:02Speaker 4: you because too few people know the cost. It goes
- 19:07Speaker 4: beyond your four years or eight years or 10 years
- 19:09Speaker 4: or 20 years.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:11Speaker 4: It's the the cost that it weighs on your family.
- 19:15Speaker 4: What it really means to be walking down the street
- 19:18Speaker 4: wearing your your army shirt or your Marines cap, your
- 19:22Speaker 4: veteran cap and having somebody say something slick and you
- 19:25Speaker 4: having to defend the honor of your branch and your
- 19:29Speaker 4: country with your knuckles at times. And good for you
- 19:32Speaker 4: for doing that.
- 19:33Speaker 9: Right.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I'm so glad that you did. And I always take
- 19:36Speaker 4: my hat off to veterans across this country now. I
- 19:40Speaker 4: want to talk about what happened in the White House
- 19:43Speaker 4: because Katie Zachariah, I think, is phenomenal. I think she's fantastic.
- 19:50Speaker 4: She's amazing on television. She's sharp. She's articulate. She's ready
- 19:54Speaker 4: to go. She stepped in clearly into a scenario that
- 19:58Speaker 4: was a quick turnaround, right? I don't know how the
- 20:02Speaker 4: vetting process was. I'm not even questioning the vetting process.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I've never been vetted for a job in the White House.
- 20:09Speaker 4: But I'm available if you need me. But no, what
- 20:11Speaker 4: I'm saying here is I heard her say on the
- 20:13Speaker 4: interview that she did on the Fox News channel that
- 20:17Speaker 4: she had been notified on a Wednesday and I think
- 20:20Speaker 4: started that following Monday. And that is a quick turnaround.
- 20:24Speaker 4: And good for her for stepping up. And I think,
- 20:26Speaker 4: you know, kudos to President Trump as well for giving her,
- 20:30Speaker 4: you know, an option and really saying, hey, is this
- 20:31Speaker 4: really what you want to do? But we have a
- 20:34Speaker 4: couple of audio clips here that I want to play
- 20:36Speaker 4: for you because I think they're they're appropriate.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Mr.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Producer, which one do I want to start with? I
- 20:41Speaker 4: see a few here. I guess we'll start with Katie Zachariah.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Go right ahead.
- 20:48Speaker 12: I am so honored to work for President Trump and
- 20:52Speaker 12: the American people as the new White House press secretary.
- 20:58Speaker 12: I want to thank President Trump for his trust that
- 21:02Speaker 12: he has placed in me. I have wanted to work
- 21:06Speaker 12: for him for a very long time. I'm looking forward
- 21:11Speaker 12: to working with each of you as well. Especially as
- 21:15Speaker 12: we are in the middle of the midterm blitz with
- 21:19Speaker 12: energy and excitement never seen before in the history of midterms.
- 21:25Speaker 4: And that's true. We have not seen this level of
- 21:27Speaker 4: energy and excitement in midterms. I think every year the
- 21:30Speaker 4: midterms get more and more consequential. But clearly honored to
- 21:35Speaker 4: be there clearly rising to the challenge and i don't
- 21:40Speaker 4: know all the ins and outs of what's going on
- 21:42Speaker 4: i have worked in a and an administration at the
- 21:45Speaker 4: state level i worked for governor chris christie and i
- 21:47Speaker 4: know that there are sometimes competing interests and all sorts
- 21:50Speaker 4: of things and you know uh... people that have uh...
- 21:53Speaker 4: good relationships with people will recommend someone for a job
- 21:55Speaker 4: and sometimes people fit in other positions better and whatnot
- 21:59Speaker 4: in the move around within the administration or outside if
- 22:02Speaker 4: they're outside agencies All these things are pretty normal and commonplace.
- 22:06Speaker 4: And what I want to say is I don't think
- 22:08Speaker 4: she did anything wrong. I think there's a lot of,
- 22:13Speaker 4: I guess, criticism on the shortness of her first. And listen,
- 22:18Speaker 4: what do I do, right? I sit here and I
- 22:20Speaker 4: get paid to talk for three hours. I did a
- 22:23Speaker 4: three-hour show for a number of years. Now I've cut
- 22:26Speaker 4: it down to an hour just to fit a new
- 22:29Speaker 4: format that I have because the show also goes out
- 22:31Speaker 4: to television on Roku. It works for me, right? I
- 22:35Speaker 4: like it. But I enjoy speaking, right? The criticism that
- 22:40Speaker 4: we get, you know, you're just in love with the
- 22:42Speaker 4: sound of your own voice. Man, absolutely. I hear my
- 22:45Speaker 4: voice and I get heart eyes emoji. So you give
- 22:49Speaker 4: me one of those lecterns that says press secretary and
- 22:53Speaker 4: I'm going at it. Let me fight with the fake
- 22:55Speaker 4: news media. But of course, everything looks easier from the
- 22:57Speaker 4: outside looking in, right? When you're on the inside and
- 23:00Speaker 4: depends on how prepared one is. And I don't know
- 23:03Speaker 4: that that's a matter of just you because you've got
- 23:04Speaker 4: a whole shop behind you, right, as press secretary. And
- 23:07Speaker 4: I remember Kayleigh McEnany, who I think was also amazing
- 23:10Speaker 4: at that job, just as Caroline Leavitt was. She would
- 23:13Speaker 4: come in with that binder. That binder was packed. And
- 23:16Speaker 4: they would hit her with every question left, right, and center.
- 23:19Speaker 4: And she would flip to that page and go, boom,
- 23:21Speaker 4: because she had all her stats written down. She clearly
- 23:24Speaker 4: planned all this out. So I think, did we give
- 23:27Speaker 4: Katie Zachariah a fair shot for her first 15 minutes
- 23:30Speaker 4: on that podium? I don't know that we did. But
- 23:33Speaker 4: I do know that that is, you know, it's like
- 23:37Speaker 4: when Trump gets on the world stage at the U.N.,
- 23:39Speaker 4: there's no turning back. And I think it's the same
- 23:41Speaker 4: way when you get on that pulpit there on the lectern,
- 23:45Speaker 4: the podium in the press briefing room. So I just
- 23:48Speaker 4: want to say kudos to her. I think she's fantastic.
- 23:51Speaker 4: And here's what President Trump had to say.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Katie's been treated very badly by the media. Very, very badly.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Very unfairly, I think. And I just spoke to her
- 24:01Speaker 2: about it. I said, Katie, is this for you? Because,
- 24:04Speaker 2: you know, she's been treated very rough. And she's a
- 24:08Speaker 2: nice person. Very nice person. I've watched her for years
- 24:11Speaker 2: on television.
- 24:12Speaker 3: But I said, is this for you, Katie?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Because honestly... You don't need this. You don't have to
- 24:18Speaker 2: be treated. I would say the fake news, but just generally,
- 24:21Speaker 2: the media has been very rough. She was on Sean
- 24:24Speaker 2: Hannity last night, and Sean was a little bit tough,
- 24:29Speaker 2: and she did. I saw Fox and Friends this morning.
- 24:31Speaker 6: They were a little tough.
- 24:33Speaker 7: She's been treated.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I would say, pretty nastily. And I said to Katie,
- 24:39Speaker 2: just two minutes ago, I said, Katie, you know, you
- 24:41Speaker 2: don't have to do this.
- 24:42Speaker 1: If you don't want to.
- 24:43Speaker 7: She said, this is.
- 24:45Speaker 6: A lot tougher.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I said, welcome to the world of Trump.
- 24:48Speaker 8: Are you going to beat her?
- 24:50Speaker 7: I'm going to let.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Her make that decision.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Okay, he's up in the air, potentially?
- 24:54Speaker 12: He's up, yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Look, she's a nice person, a great person.
- 24:58Speaker 7: And she's been treated roughly, you know.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I said, do you want to really live like this?
- 25:02Speaker 7: I don't think.
- 25:02Speaker 2: They'll ever ease up. And, you know, Caroline did a
- 25:06Speaker 2: very good job. I think Katie maybe would do. But
- 25:09Speaker 2: Katie's off to a start that the news has been
- 25:13Speaker 2: so nasty to her.
- 25:14Speaker 7: I've never seen anything like it, actually.
- 25:17Speaker 2: And I said to her, honestly, if I were you,
- 25:20Speaker 2: I'd reconsider. You think about it. But I would reconsider.
- 25:23Speaker 2: You've got a beautiful husband and family.
- 25:25Speaker 6: I met the family yesterday.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Beautiful kids. It's like from a picture postcard. And I said,
- 25:30Speaker 2: you should reconsider because you don't.
- 25:32Speaker 7: Want to go through. What do you want her to do?
- 25:35Speaker 7: I just want her to be happy.
- 25:37Speaker 2: He has suffered over the last few days.
- 25:41Speaker 6: And I'm not saying.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Maybe it's not for her.
- 25:45Speaker 2: But I said, you want to be happy in life.
- 25:49Speaker 4: I'll do whatever she wants. And that's why he's the president, folks.
- 25:53Speaker 4: What an answer, right? I just want to see her
- 25:55Speaker 4: be happy in life. I'll do whatever she wants, leaving
- 25:58Speaker 4: her the option to walk out and do whatever she
- 26:00Speaker 4: wants with her career. God bless you, Katie Zachariah. And listen,
- 26:06Speaker 4: President Trump, just you and me, and 14 million of
- 26:09Speaker 4: Mark's listeners listening, I can work this out. I have
- 26:13Speaker 4: a lot of leeway here. So Rich Valdez, press secretary,
- 26:17Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know. I think it might
- 26:19Speaker 4: have a ring to it. You let me know what
- 26:21Speaker 4: you think. No pressure, no decisions have to be made
- 26:24Speaker 4: right now.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Mr.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Producer, do I need to go to a break here,
- 26:28Speaker 4: or can I talk to some of our... Oh, beautiful.
- 26:31Speaker 4: All right, so we're going to go to Ramsey, New Jersey,
- 26:34Speaker 4: and check in with John. John, go right ahead. You're
- 26:36Speaker 4: on with Rich Valdez.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Mr. Valdez, it's an honor speaking with you. I haven't
- 26:42Speaker 3: spent 10 years in Canada. Sorry to hear it. I
- 26:45Speaker 3: haven't spent 10 years in Canada, basically for the summers
- 26:48Speaker 3: into the fall. Everything you said about the health care
- 26:51Speaker 3: system in Canada is 100 percent correct. And you wouldn't
- 26:56Speaker 3: believe it.
- 26:57Speaker 4: I didn't believe it when they told me when these
- 26:59Speaker 4: people told me they were sneaking into Detroit. Who sneaks
- 27:03Speaker 4: into Detroit of all places? The D. Come on, man.
- 27:06Speaker 4: But when they told me, listen, when you're faced with
- 27:09Speaker 4: a heart attack and you're on a waiting list of
- 27:11Speaker 4: six months to get a bypass surgery, you can die
- 27:15Speaker 4: while you're waiting. It's so much easier to go there
- 27:18Speaker 4: and just say, hey, I'm in distress, and they hook
- 27:20Speaker 4: you up. Isn't that crazy, John?
- 27:23Speaker 3: It's crazy. My wife had a minor problem. We said,
- 27:27Speaker 3: let's go down to the hospital. Lay $ 600 on the counter,
- 27:32Speaker 3: and we'll take care of you. I go, oh, gee,
- 27:35Speaker 3: that's amazing. But it's true. And it goes on and
- 27:39Speaker 3: on and on. If you have the gut surgery, you
- 27:43Speaker 3: have to wait. In fact, there may be only so
- 27:45Speaker 3: many surgeons in the province you're in. Remember, it's a federation.
- 27:49Speaker 3: And we spent, like I said, 10 years, and we
- 27:54Speaker 3: had a chance to sit there and talk to the
- 27:55Speaker 3: people on the island what went on. And it's true.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Absolutely 100% true. Unbelievable. So the question is, would I
- 28:02Speaker 3: want to live in Canada? Would I want the United
- 28:04Speaker 3: States medical system to become like Canada? I was offered
- 28:09Speaker 3: a job up there. You know what I told? No, thanks.
- 28:12Speaker 3: I'm happy in America. I'm happy with the system we have.
- 28:15Speaker 3: And anybody who tries to sell that line of goods, oh,
- 28:19Speaker 3: you can have the Canadian system. And this is not
- 28:22Speaker 3: even close. And it would take me a half an
- 28:25Speaker 3: hour to sit there and explain all the strange things
- 28:27Speaker 3: that happen up there. But my neighbor had a hip replacement.
- 28:32Speaker 3: It went bad. He had to have it done again.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I said, oh, this is crazy.
- 28:36Speaker 4: At the end of the day, when you're playing fast
- 28:40Speaker 4: and loose with your health care system, to try and
- 28:43Speaker 4: promise everybody everything, and you're doing it at the expense
- 28:48Speaker 4: of the taxpayer, this is what you face every single time.
- 28:52Speaker 4: The government doesn't administer anything well. So if I have
- 28:56Speaker 4: an option of saying, I don't know, a guy who
- 28:58Speaker 4: wants to make money is his bottom line, or the government,
- 29:01Speaker 4: I'm going with the guy who wants to make money,
- 29:03Speaker 4: because that guy's going to make sure that we're happy
- 29:05Speaker 4: customers and coming back. And that's always been my bottom line.
- 29:08Speaker 4: John at Ramsey, New Jersey, thank you for your call,
- 29:10Speaker 4: my brother. Godspeed to you. We're going to continue. Let's
- 29:13Speaker 4: go to Charlie calling us from Westchester, New York. Charlie,
- 29:15Speaker 4: go right ahead, sir. Hey, Rich.
- 29:19Speaker 7: How you doing?
- 29:19Speaker 10: Thank you for taking my call. It's the first time
- 29:21Speaker 10: I've heard about you. So I searched you out. I
- 29:24Speaker 10: like your profile. And I'd like to play quickly. AOC
- 29:29Speaker 10: is a fraud. And as a native New Yorker, I
- 29:32Speaker 10: can't stand the fact that she portrays herself as a
- 29:34Speaker 10: Bronx person when she grew up in Yorktown Heights.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Nice neighborhood.
- 29:39Speaker 7: Upper Westchester.
- 29:40Speaker 3: County.
- 29:40Speaker 10: She is a fake. Now, I'm a first-generation Latino. My
- 29:45Speaker 10: family's from Peru. Now, there's just nothing to really backtrack
- 29:50Speaker 10: where she's from, where she grew up. And then she
- 29:52Speaker 10: starts to act ghetto when she starts to talk to, like,
- 29:55Speaker 10: the people she's trying to, like, get to vote for her.
- 29:58Speaker 10: She is so fake. Number two, she also, you were
- 30:02Speaker 10: speaking about student loans. Now, when I went to college,
- 30:06Speaker 10: and I remember I went to St. John's, and I
- 30:08Speaker 10: was in my junior year, and back then the student
- 30:11Speaker 10: loan was called a guaranteed student loan, then it became
- 30:14Speaker 10: a Stafford loan. And they would only lend you money
- 30:18Speaker 10: based on your need. Now, I lived on my own.
- 30:21Speaker 10: After I was 18, I had my own apartment. I
- 30:24Speaker 10: lived in Manhattan, and rents were cheaper. But at the
- 30:28Speaker 10: end of the day, you had to fill out a
- 30:29Speaker 10: Pell Grant. So because I just had a job, the
- 30:33Speaker 10: way the formula was explained to you was that you
- 30:38Speaker 10: could pay for your tuition. So I never could get
- 30:41Speaker 10: even like a lousy $ 5, 000 or $ 10, 000 to finish up
- 30:44Speaker 10: at school. And then, of course, life went on, and
- 30:47Speaker 10: I didn't go to college, and I sidetracked. but they
- 30:52Speaker 10: only let you money based on what you were able
- 30:55Speaker 10: to pay back. Something similar to what Trump's trying to
- 30:58Speaker 10: do and what's been going on the last couple of
- 31:00Speaker 10: days in these, um, explanations where ALC is trying to
- 31:05Speaker 10: like make everybody seem like they can't, you know, they
- 31:07Speaker 10: can't get loans and Hey, listen, you know what? If
- 31:10Speaker 10: you can get a loan, you can get, you know
- 31:12Speaker 10: what I mean? If you want to go to school,
- 31:13Speaker 10: you can get a loan and you.
- 31:15Speaker 7: Can make it happen.
- 31:15Speaker 4: And you know what, Charlie, that, that is the bottom line. People, uh,
- 31:19Speaker 4: do have the access to the money, especially at the
- 31:21Speaker 4: undergraduate level. The stuff that they're capping is at the
- 31:24Speaker 4: graduate level. And it's an important distinction for sure. And
- 31:29Speaker 4: I'm not saying we shouldn't help people with graduate degrees.
- 31:31Speaker 4: I'm just saying we should make sure they're getting them
- 31:33Speaker 4: in areas that are in demand, right? When we've got
- 31:35Speaker 4: Elon Musk making cars that fly upside down, guess what?
- 31:38Speaker 4: Maybe we're going to need mechanics for those kinds of cars.
- 31:41Speaker 4: And that's probably not going to be a degree in
- 31:44Speaker 4: liberal studies, if you know what I mean. Charlie in Westchester,
- 31:47Speaker 4: New York, thank you for the call. Familia, we're coming
- 31:49Speaker 4: right back. To wrap this up, don't go anywhere. It's
- 31:51Speaker 4: Rich Valdez in for the great one.
- 31:54Speaker 1: This is America. This is America. He's got the best
- 32:05Speaker 1: head of hair in podcasting. This is America with Rich Valdez.
- 32:11Speaker 4: All right, family, I promised you a little James Tallarico,
- 32:14Speaker 4: and I'm going to keep my word. This is James
- 32:16Speaker 4: Tallarico at a rally just yesterday. He's reappeared, and he's
- 32:19Speaker 4: comparing himself to David and Goliath. Check this out.
- 32:23Speaker 11: This race reminds me of that story in the Bible
- 32:26Speaker 11: of a shepherd boy who goes up against a giant.
- 32:30Speaker 11: For 40 days, Goliath taunts and teases. On the day
- 32:34Speaker 11: of the fight, he shows up in full armor. He's
- 32:37Speaker 11: carrying so many weapons, he has to get someone else
- 32:40Speaker 11: to hold his shield. We are going up against our
- 32:43Speaker 11: own Goliaths, those billionaire mega donors, those corporate PACs, the
- 32:48Speaker 11: entire Washington DC establishment.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Their power is real.
- 32:54Speaker 1: But so is ours.
- 32:56Speaker 4: So is ours. I'm going to use the same speech
- 32:59Speaker 4: right here. Listen, everything he's saying is true on that side, too.
- 33:04Speaker 4: There's a lot of rich people. There's Soros. There's Neville Singham.
- 33:08Speaker 4: There's people with deep pockets very far on the left.
- 33:12Speaker 4: They want to see a different America than the one
- 33:15Speaker 4: that we have. And trust me, the one we have
- 33:17Speaker 4: is already going to the left. So just imagine that.
- 33:20Speaker 4: They think guys like Hakeem Jeffries are no good. They're
- 33:24Speaker 4: only messing with the likes of AOC, Bernie Sanders, and
- 33:26Speaker 4: the like. It's not a good place to be. You've
- 33:31Speaker 4: got to choose your Goliath. What are you going to
- 33:33Speaker 4: stand up and fight for, and how are you going
- 33:35Speaker 4: to fight? Are you going to leave it to just voting?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Are you going to start recruiting people? Let me tell
- 33:41Speaker 4: you this. The way the left took over is the
- 33:43Speaker 4: same way they're going to leave, by us rising to
- 33:46Speaker 4: the challenge and doing what we do. We've got to
- 33:50Speaker 4: get involved the way they got involved. They can't be
- 33:53Speaker 4: the ones that are teachers everywhere. They can't be the
- 33:58Speaker 4: ones that are professors everywhere. They can't be the ones
- 34:00Speaker 4: that run every union shop. It can't be. Because then
- 34:05Speaker 4: it becomes the problem that we have now. You start
- 34:09Speaker 4: seeing people putting pressure on businesses to do things they
- 34:12Speaker 4: don't want them to do. It's not the way it works.
- 34:15Speaker 4: We can't let the communists take America from us. This
- 34:19Speaker 4: is how the communists operate. They will pressure and coerce
- 34:23Speaker 4: and push. And before you know it, everybody's worshipping at
- 34:29Speaker 4: the altar of big government. It doesn't work like that.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Today I saw a video of a woman doing a speech,
- 34:38Speaker 4: press conference, I don't know, I believe it was in Minnesota.
- 34:44Speaker 4: This woman's running for office. She was wearing the traditional...
- 34:50Speaker 4: Minnesota Muslim attire that you see in all the videos.
- 34:55Speaker 4: And she did the entire press conference in, I think, Somalian.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Behind her stood an American flag inverted upside down like
- 35:05Speaker 4: America in distress. Is that the America you want for you,
- 35:11Speaker 4: for your children, for your children's children? Is that the
