- 0:21Speaker 2: and in the place to be. And you're listening to
- 0:23Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich. Wake your ass up, fool.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Rich, today's National what?
- 0:27Speaker 3: I think it's Columbus Day, but I'm not sure if
- 0:29Speaker 3: we celebrate that anymore. So we're just going to say
- 0:31Speaker 3: that it is.
- 0:32Speaker 6: I think it's Indigenous People's Day.
- 0:34Speaker 3: It is Indigenous People's Day. It is also National Farmers Day.
- 0:39Speaker 3: So thank you to all the farmers that are growing
- 0:41Speaker 3: all the food that we eat. That is right.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Hey, last week we got into a fight Rich and
- 0:46Speaker 4: his wife got into because it was a stupid fight
- 0:48Speaker 4: over curry. And I'm going to throw in a question.
- 0:51Speaker 4: And it was a stupid fight. And then we got into, like,
- 0:54Speaker 4: stupid things you fought over. And it's dropping on the podcast.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Everyone's calling about it right now.
- 0:59Speaker 5: So we're going to do it again. Jamie, what's something
- 1:02Speaker 5: stupid that you fought over?
- 1:03Speaker 7: Okay, so I hate feet. So my husband likes to rage.
- 1:07Speaker 8: Bait me and rub his feet together. So it annoys
- 1:11Speaker 8: the shit out of me.
- 1:12Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 1:15Speaker 4: So it's like a very constant thing.
- 1:18Speaker 5: It's the sound of his feet rubbing?
- 1:20Speaker 10: Just any feet in.
- 1:21Speaker 8: Particular, but he likes to do it just to rage bait.
- 1:25Speaker 5: I'm like, are his.
- 1:26Speaker 11: Feet all dry and crunchy? Are they like sandpaper?
- 1:30Speaker 12: No, not really.
- 1:31Speaker 8: It's just I don't like feet.
- 1:33Speaker 11: He knows better.
- 1:35Speaker 7: He knows better.
- 1:38Speaker 8: So when I go get pedicures, it takes me a
- 1:40Speaker 8: minute to like, okay, this is what I'm doing, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 8: like pedicures. It's just he knows I don't like it,
- 1:45Speaker 8: and so he'll just rub them together.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Well, you'll get a big kick out of it if
- 1:49Speaker 4: you go to Instagram and go to Unfug Feet. You'll
- 1:51Speaker 4: love that page.
- 1:52Speaker 6: She would never.
- 1:52Speaker 10: Oh, I followed her.
- 1:54Speaker 7: She has pretty feet.
- 1:55Speaker 8: I get my pedicure done, so it doesn't really bother me,
- 2:00Speaker 8: but it's just feet. I don't like it.
- 2:03Speaker 13: So when you go get the pedicure done, does it
- 2:05Speaker 13: bother you like your own feet or just being around
- 2:08Speaker 13: all the other feet in there?
- 2:09Speaker 8: I won't let them scrub. I'll ask to take the scrub.
- 2:13Speaker 8: the scrubber home because I don't know I just feel
- 2:16Speaker 8: like a lot of people like.
- 2:18Speaker 7: Okay I'm not trying to sound rude or anything but
- 2:20Speaker 7: like if.
- 2:21Speaker 8: You're walking around in the store with sandals and you
- 2:24Speaker 8: just I don't know I feel like feet that's something
- 2:26Speaker 8: you have to take care of okay I get it you.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Don't like feet but you like Kyle's feet and I
- 2:31Speaker 4: agree with you alright Jamie thank.
- 2:33Speaker 9: You they're clean they're beautiful.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Kyle's got some of the best soles ever if you
- 2:37Speaker 4: get a chance unfuck feet alright thanks Jamie have.
- 2:39Speaker 14: A great day thank you you too.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Sean, what's something stupid you fought over?
- 2:44Speaker 1: Well, for Thanksgiving, we made my girlfriend's son smuggle a
- 2:48Speaker 1: turkey to Mexico, and my girlfriend got into a big
- 2:50Speaker 1: argument about how long to cook the turkey.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Not the smuggling.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that part's no problem.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Why do you have to smuggle a turkey? Don't they
- 2:59Speaker 5: have turkeys there?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Well, you can't be too safe. So, you know, you
- 3:02Speaker 1: don't know if you're going to be able to buy
- 3:04Speaker 1: a turkey there. And my girlfriend was insistent on pre-chopping
- 3:07Speaker 1: the onions and all the stuff for the turkey.
- 3:10Speaker 9: Uh, for the stuffing.
- 3:11Speaker 1: So we, we had a lot of smuggling going on,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but we made it through.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Well, let me tell you something. I used to live
- 3:15Speaker 4: in Mexico and I am 99.9% positive. You can buy
- 3:18Speaker 4: a Turkey at the grocery store in Mexico.
- 3:22Speaker 1: You know, for next time.
- 3:23Speaker 9: All right.
- 3:24Speaker 5: All right. So you got to do the fight.
- 3:26Speaker 3: That wasn't even what the fight was about.
- 3:27Speaker 5: You got to fight over the Turkey. All right.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Thanks, Sean. Thanks for calling in, man. But we said
- 3:34Speaker 4: dumbest thing you've had the biggest fight over. Liz, what'd
- 3:36Speaker 4: you fight over? Something stupid you fought over.
- 3:38Speaker 15: Okay, so we were doing a rock job, veneer job,
- 3:43Speaker 15: my husband and I.
- 3:44Speaker 12: Well, he was my boyfriend at the time.
- 3:45Speaker 5: A what job?
- 3:46Speaker 16: Veneer stone construction.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Okay, gotcha.
- 3:50Speaker 5: That's the kind of, I was wrong, I had my
- 3:52Speaker 5: brain went somewhere totally else, different kind of job. But okay, good.
- 3:56Speaker 16: So he kept like spraying me with a water hose
- 3:59Speaker 16: all day long and like dripping mud on me and
- 4:01Speaker 16: all kinds of stuff.
- 4:02Speaker 14: And I was like, Dude, what is your problem?
- 4:05Speaker 16: Like, why are you spraying me?
- 4:06Speaker 8: It was the end of the day.
- 4:07Speaker 13: I was soaked.
- 4:09Speaker 16: And he goes, don't ever call me an amateur again.
- 4:12Speaker 16: And I said, I never called you an amateur. I
- 4:16Speaker 16: said you were immature.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I'd approved it.
- 4:20Speaker 3: He's like, oh, that's fine. Immature's fine.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Immature.
- 4:23Speaker 17: He was like, immature?
- 4:25Speaker 14: I'm like, you've been spraying me all day long because
- 4:27Speaker 14: you thought I said you were an amateur? Yeah. I
- 4:31Speaker 14: got back at him later on.
- 4:34Speaker 5: That's great. Thanks, Liz. Thanks for listening.
- 4:38Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Chewy, stupid thing you got into a fight with.
- 4:42Speaker 6: Yes, sir.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Okay, so first let me start off with.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I was incarcerated for 10 years, so I was gone
- 4:49Speaker 5: a long time. Okay.
- 4:51Speaker 7: So I'm accustomed to.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Not having a cell phone.
- 4:53Speaker 7: I'm not used to having a cell phone.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I leave it everywhere all the time.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So I'm introduced to Instagram, right?
- 4:59Speaker 10: And I start dating this girl when I get out.
- 5:02Speaker 5: And I get on my phone sometimes.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I'm not a big social.
- 5:06Speaker 7: Media person, but I get home or I see a shoot.
- 5:08Speaker 18: You ain't watching my videos.
- 5:10Speaker 13: You ain't watching my videos.
- 5:12Speaker 7: What videos?
- 5:12Speaker 9: What are you talking about?
- 5:13Speaker 7: I sent you videos on TikTok.
- 5:15Speaker 9: I'm like, oh, my goodness.
- 5:17Speaker 10: And then so she goes to, I don't care about
- 5:19Speaker 10: my phone.
- 5:20Speaker 4: It's not a big deal.
- 5:20Speaker 11: She goes to my phone.
- 5:21Speaker 18: You're watching so-and-so's videos and you're watching so-and-so's videos.
- 5:24Speaker 9: Why aren't you watching my videos?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Peyton would get mad at you if you didn't
- 5:28Speaker 3: watch her videos.
- 5:29Speaker 7: I'm like, what the heck? So fast forward, we're married now.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I've been out three years.
- 5:34Speaker 9: Right on.
- 5:35Speaker 4: And tables have turned.
- 5:37Speaker 10: Now I'm addicted to Instagram and.
- 5:38Speaker 7: I'm yelling at her for not watching my videos.
- 5:40Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 11: I get it now.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Oh, that's a good one, Chewy.
- 5:45Speaker 5: That's great.
- 5:45Speaker 3: It's real.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That's great, brother. Thanks for calling in, Chewy. Thanks for listening. Hey,
- 5:50Speaker 4: thanks for answering my call. I love you guys.
- 5:51Speaker 5: You got it, brother. Love you, too.
- 5:52Speaker 4: I have a pre-stupid fight. Like, I know it's going there.
- 5:56Speaker 11: Uh-oh.
- 5:57Speaker 6: What is it?
- 5:58Speaker 4: And it's come up a few times. So whenever my
- 6:00Speaker 4: wife and I travel, she hurt her shoulder, right? So
- 6:02Speaker 4: whenever we travel, I have to carry her bags, which
- 6:05Speaker 4: is no problem. you know, carry on bag. I tear my,
- 6:07Speaker 4: it's like farmer carries. I'm holding my bag, her bag,
- 6:09Speaker 4: but she has this extra bag, like a handbag, whatever,
- 6:12Speaker 4: you know, and in it, she carries all her stuff
- 6:14Speaker 4: in that bag. And then she pulls the, the, the
- 6:17Speaker 4: thing up, you know, on the, on the suitcase, the arm, you.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Know, you can roll it up.
- 6:20Speaker 4: And then it has a little slide on it for
- 6:22Speaker 4: her bag.
- 6:22Speaker 9: Right.
- 6:23Speaker 4: But it's really frustrating. It's very heavy. Her bag's heavy,
- 6:26Speaker 4: but she doesn't carry it. I'm carrying it. So I
- 6:28Speaker 4: was like, Hey, since while we traveled together like this,
- 6:32Speaker 4: let's just put it in a backpack. She goes, no,
- 6:35Speaker 4: I will not put myself in a backpack. I go,
- 6:36Speaker 4: you're not carrying it. Let me carry the backpack with
- 6:39Speaker 4: your stuff. No, no, I want my bag like this.
- 6:42Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm carrying it.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Like, it's come up three times.
- 6:46Speaker 3: She must want access to it when she wants access
- 6:49Speaker 3: to it. Like, doesn't want to have to.
- 6:51Speaker 11: Right, I get totes easier to open.
- 6:52Speaker 5: It's so uneven when I'm carrying my bag and her bag.
- 6:56Speaker 3: It's safer in a backpack.
- 6:57Speaker 5: And I'm like, it's so, dude, it's so like it's
- 6:59Speaker 5: going to go somewhere really ugly.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I can see.
- 7:02Speaker 3: You're fired up.
- 7:03Speaker 5: She's unreasonable about even having a conversation about it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Anyway, I even took a picture and I was going
- 7:09Speaker 4: to post it, a picture of her stupid bag on
- 7:11Speaker 4: the image. Put it next to a well-organized backpack. This
- 7:13Speaker 4: is so bothering. Anyway, stupid fights, always good stuff. Peyton's
- 7:17Speaker 4: Predictions coming up next with John Jane Rich.
- 7:19Speaker 19: Good morning.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Wake up every morning. Start your day with.
- 7:22Speaker 11: John Jay and Rich.
- 7:23Speaker 19: I wake up with my favorite artist.
- 7:25Speaker 6: Hey, this is Sabrina Carpenter.
- 7:26Speaker 4: What's up, guys? This is Post Malone.
- 7:28Speaker 6: It's Benson Boone, and you're waking up with John Jay
- 7:30Speaker 6: and Rich.
- 7:30Speaker 5: All right, Peyton, what's the five horoscopes today?
- 7:32Speaker 11: Okay, I'm letting you know the one thing that your
- 7:34Speaker 11: zodiac sign thinks that you're an absolute expert at. So
- 7:39Speaker 11: if it's your birthday today, you are a Libra, and
- 7:41Speaker 11: you share a birthday with Josh Hutcherson, Hugh Jackman, and
- 7:44Speaker 11: Iris Apatow.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:46Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Very nice.
- 7:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 5: And since you're a Libra, Kyle's birthday's coming up.
- 7:49Speaker 11: Perfect. Kyle, for Libras, it's your season. So you are
- 7:53Speaker 11: kind of thinking that you're like the mastermind of being
- 7:56Speaker 11: a relationship guru and playing both sides. But even though
- 7:59Speaker 11: you currently have like three unanswered texts yourself and you
- 8:02Speaker 11: can't even pick what to order off of a dinner menu.
- 8:05Speaker 11: So you like to think that you can make good
- 8:06Speaker 11: decisions for other people, but not necessarily for yourself.
- 8:10Speaker 6: I think you're absolutely right.
- 8:12Speaker 13: It is easier to make decisions for other people because
- 8:14Speaker 13: you don't have to live with that decision.
- 8:16Speaker 4: It's a valid.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Sarah, good morning. What's your sign?
- 8:22Speaker 15: Hi, I'm a tourist.
- 8:23Speaker 11: Okay, so for my tourists, the thing that you guys
- 8:26Speaker 11: think you guys are the best at, you swear you're
- 8:28Speaker 11: like a Michelin star food critic because you ordered truffle fries,
- 8:32Speaker 11: but you low-key just took your shoes off, unbuttoned your pants,
- 8:34Speaker 11: and swallowed $ 40 worth of takeout in five minutes. Oh, man.
- 8:39Speaker 16: That sounds like me for sure.
- 8:41Speaker 12: I love my food.
- 8:42Speaker 11: Exactly.
- 8:43Speaker 5: All right, Sarah, have a great day. Thanks for listening.
- 8:45Speaker 20: You too.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Bye.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Have a fun day.
- 8:47Speaker 9: Bye. You too.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Hi, Ara.
- 8:49Speaker 5: What's your sign?
- 8:50Speaker 12: I'm a Leo.
- 8:52Speaker 11: Just like me, Ara. Okay, so us Leos, the thing
- 8:55Speaker 11: that we think we are the absolute best at, we
- 8:58Speaker 11: are convinced that we could walk the runway in Paris
- 9:02Speaker 11: Fashion Week if the opportunity presented itself. When in reality,
- 9:05Speaker 11: we kind of just spent like 45 minutes staring at
- 9:07Speaker 11: ourselves in a mirror and trying on six outfits that
- 9:10Speaker 11: were low-key mid anyway.
- 9:12Speaker 17: That sounds about right.
- 9:14Speaker 11: I feel like the opportunity is that I would have
- 9:16Speaker 11: the fake confidence to do it.
- 9:17Speaker 6: You totally would. You would rock it.
- 9:19Speaker 11: I would be so scared, but I would do it.
- 9:21Speaker 4: All right.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Have a great day. Thanks for listening.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:25Speaker 16: Bye, guys.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Bye.
- 9:26Speaker 5: How about Pisces?
- 9:27Speaker 11: Rich, for you, the thing that you think you're the
- 9:29Speaker 11: best at, you think you are a psychic main character,
- 9:32Speaker 11: and you are like low-key the exact opposite of that.
- 9:37Speaker 11: You kind of give side piece, but that's okay.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Side piece?
- 9:41Speaker 21: It's okay.
- 9:41Speaker 11: You're the supporting character.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I'm okay with being a side piece. It sounds fun.
- 9:46Speaker 11: So yeah, you think that you run and rock the room,
- 9:49Speaker 11: when in reality, that's not.
- 9:52Speaker 5: How about Virgos?
- 9:54Speaker 11: That's just what the stars are saying, Rich. It's not me. Virgos,
- 9:57Speaker 11: John Jay, you think that you are this high life
- 10:00Speaker 11: coach judging everyone's chaotic daily habits from the corner while
- 10:04Speaker 11: your own life is barely held together. And if it
- 10:09Speaker 11: is held together, it's with anxiety and iced coffee.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Yeah, my entire life. Thank you, Peyton.
- 10:14Speaker 4: If we need to get your sign, they're all posted
- 10:15Speaker 4: on our website, johnjayandrich.com.
- 10:18Speaker 3: They say the holy water's watered down.
- 10:27Speaker 5: I have two things that are very important when it
- 10:29Speaker 5: comes to Halloween movies.
- 10:31Speaker 6: Okay.
- 10:32Speaker 5: I have the best family-friendly Halloween movies.
- 10:35Speaker 9: Okay.
- 10:36Speaker 4: And then I have the best horror movies that are
- 10:38Speaker 4: streaming for free on the Tubi app.
- 10:41Speaker 11: Oh, yeah. On the Tubi app.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:42Speaker 3: A lot of times the things that I look for
- 10:44Speaker 3: are only available on Tubi.
- 10:46Speaker 5: I heard that.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I feel like.
- 10:47Speaker 11: Tubi is always like the like.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Not as good entertainment?
- 10:52Speaker 11: Like the lifetime, like the Timu of the.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Well, they have shows that are, they have movies that
- 10:58Speaker 3: aren't great.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:58Speaker 3: And a lot of them.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Well, these movies are pretty good.
- 11:01Speaker 4: In fact, the number one scary movie on Tubi, I
- 11:03Speaker 4: saw one time and I thought it was really scary.
- 11:05Speaker 4: In fact, the number two scary movie, which is the
- 11:09Speaker 4: Texas Chainsaw Massacre, to me is one of the scariest
- 11:11Speaker 4: movies ever. This movie that's number one is apparently scarier
- 11:15Speaker 4: than that. But here are the movies on Tubi. Number
- 11:19Speaker 4: 17 is The Curse of Frankenstein. The old one, 1957.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Number 13 is Fright Night, 1985.
- 11:22Speaker 4: The Descent is number 11. The scariest movie on Tubi,
- 11:30Speaker 4: number 10, is called Teeth.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Don't know it.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Hellraiser, The Mummy, The Addams Family, and Addams Family Values.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Those aren't scary.
- 11:38Speaker 6: They're Halloween movies, though, but yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 5: The Witch. The Witch is freaky. The title is the
- 11:44Speaker 5: best horror movie.
- 11:45Speaker 4: I know.
- 11:45Speaker 6: I would kind of put The Addams Family under your
- 11:47Speaker 6: other list.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 11:49Speaker 4: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is number two, and the number
- 11:51Speaker 4: one free movie you could watch on Tubi that is
- 11:54Speaker 4: a horror movie is called Sleepy Hollow.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 3: It's Johnny Depp.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Really scary movie.
- 11:58Speaker 11: I've heard of that teeth one before. I think it's
- 12:01Speaker 11: like really weird. That reminds, I think it's like one
- 12:04Speaker 11: of those human caterpillar kind of movies.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Oh, the witch is really scary too. But it's like
- 12:09Speaker 3: a slow burn scary because it's all like in the
- 12:11Speaker 3: 1800s and it's black and white and it's raining all
- 12:13Speaker 3: the time.
- 12:13Speaker 11: Yeah, anything like witchcraft, like Salem Witch Child is always
- 12:16Speaker 11: really scary to me.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Here are the best movies, family friendly Halloween movies as.
- 12:21Speaker 5: You can see. Scooby-Doo.
- 12:24Speaker 11: Oh, yes. Spooky Island.
- 12:26Speaker 4: E.T., The Extraterrestrial, Little Shop of Horrors, It's the Great Pumpkin,
- 12:30Speaker 4: Charlie Brown, Coco, Goosebumps, Monster House, Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, Coraline,
- 12:37Speaker 4: Hotel Transylvania, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Monster Squad, Gremlins, Casper. Halloween, Beetlejuice,
- 12:45Speaker 4: and the number one they say is Hocus Pocus. It
- 12:47Speaker 4: came out in 1993.
- 12:48Speaker 11: I'm like, but no Halloween town is a disgrace.
- 12:51Speaker 3: What about Ghostbusters or Ghostbusters 2?
- 12:54Speaker 6: They can't have them all.
- 12:55Speaker 11: They need to put Casper meets Wendy in there.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I think if you guys want a good Halloween family movie,
- 13:00Speaker 4: it's on Netflix with Adam Sandler called Hubie Halloween. I
- 13:02Speaker 4: thought it was a fantastic movie.
- 13:03Speaker 11: I've heard of that one. I was just telling Nick
- 13:05Speaker 11: about the Casper meets Wendy with Hilary Duff when she
- 13:08Speaker 11: was Wendy the witch when she was like a little girl.
- 13:11Speaker 11: And it was one of my favorite Halloween movies like
- 13:13Speaker 11: growing up. And he'd never heard of it.
- 13:14Speaker 22: And I was shocked.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Probably find it on TV.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Those are some fun little Halloween movies. The other day,
- 13:28Speaker 4: Kyle told us she burned her finger sticking her hand
- 13:31Speaker 4: into the air fryer.
- 13:32Speaker 22: Ouch!
- 13:32Speaker 4: Which took us into the stupid way you hurt yourself.
- 13:35Speaker 19: Jenna, stupid way you hurt yourself.
- 13:50Speaker 8: Hi, so the end of last week, I was getting home.
- 13:54Speaker 8: I had a bunch of bags on my arms. I
- 13:56Speaker 8: closed my car door right on my face and fractured
- 14:00Speaker 8: and dislocated my jaw.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh, Jenna.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Holy ouch.
- 14:05Speaker 19: Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die.
- 14:13Speaker 19: Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die.
- 14:19Speaker 3: What's happening with your face now?
- 14:21Speaker 8: So, that was the end of last week. I waited
- 14:24Speaker 8: all weekend and finally went to the dentist on Monday,
- 14:27Speaker 8: which took him three times to reset my jaw to
- 14:29Speaker 8: get it back into place. And so, it's still fractured.
- 14:33Speaker 8: They're hoping that it's healing on its own. And I
- 14:37Speaker 8: have to go back next week to re-X-ray.
- 14:39Speaker 6: Is it, like, painful to speak?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Can you walk us through that again? I'm trying to
- 14:42Speaker 5: visualize what you did. So, you got groceries?
- 14:45Speaker 12: So.
- 14:46Speaker 8: So I had gotten home. I had a bunch of
- 14:48Speaker 8: bags in my hand, like reached over to my passenger seat,
- 14:51Speaker 8: got a bag, I think probably grabbed my water bottle.
- 14:54Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure I used my left hand on my
- 14:57Speaker 8: handle to close the door and turned my face straight
- 15:00Speaker 8: into it as I closed the door. It went right
- 15:03Speaker 8: into my jaw.
- 15:04Speaker 5: So you're not very tall.
- 15:04Speaker 9: Oh, I am tall.
- 15:05Speaker 6: Well, she was bending over.
- 15:06Speaker 5: What happened?
- 15:07Speaker 8: I drive like a minivan.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 15:15Speaker 5: I was just trying to get the visual.
- 15:16Speaker 8: The edge of the door hit right into my jaw. Yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 8: my husband still doesn't understand how it happened.
- 15:21Speaker 3: That's what I'm trying to picture. I'm trying to figure
- 15:23Speaker 3: out the whole visual. It just sounds terrible is what
- 15:24Speaker 3: it sounds.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it does. And I bet you if the corner
- 15:26Speaker 4: of the door hit, you probably have a cut on
- 15:28Speaker 4: there too maybe, like a little triangle.
- 15:32Speaker 9: No?
- 15:32Speaker 8: Uh-huh.
- 15:33Speaker 9: Yep. Yep.
- 15:34Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 15:34Speaker 8: It does not feel great.
- 15:36Speaker 5: All right, Jenna. Hold on. That's a good one. You
- 15:38Speaker 5: want tickets to 13th Floor Haunted House?
- 15:40Speaker 9: Sure.
- 15:40Speaker 8: That'd be great.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Okay. Hold on.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Hello.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Good morning, John Jane Rich.
- 15:45Speaker 15: Now I do the crazy way I hurt myself.
- 15:46Speaker 5: How'd you hurt yourself? Let's hear it.
- 15:48Speaker 15: So my husband and I were putting away Christmas decorations.
- 15:51Speaker 15: I was up in the attic in our garage. He
- 15:55Speaker 15: was at the opening to our attic handing me big boxes.
- 15:59Speaker 15: My left foot slipped off the rafter. I went through
- 16:04Speaker 15: the drywall, kicked him with the drywall. against the wall.
- 16:09Speaker 15: I came down and broke my tailbone on the, what
- 16:13Speaker 15: I call the wife stopper.
- 16:14Speaker 3: So painful.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Oh, the wife stopper.
- 16:17Speaker 11: Oh, so painful.
- 16:18Speaker 15: Yeah, I had to spend the night in the hospital.
- 16:22Speaker 15: Broke my hip and my tailbone.
- 16:25Speaker 7: You poor thing.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I've heard that tailbone is the worst thing in the
- 16:30Speaker 4: world to break.
- 16:30Speaker 5: That's what I've heard.
- 16:31Speaker 19: Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die.
- 16:39Speaker 19: Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die.
- 16:45Speaker 15: I had to sit on a donut. A donut for
- 16:47Speaker 15: three months. It was horrible. I couldn't sleep on my back.
- 16:50Speaker 3: My thighs.
- 16:51Speaker 4: It was so painful.
- 16:52Speaker 5: What's your name?
- 16:53Speaker 15: Yeah, that's my... Lori.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Lori, would you like tickets to 13th Floor Haunted House?
- 16:58Speaker 15: I would love it!
- 16:59Speaker 5: Okay, hold on, Lori. Hold on.
- 17:01Speaker 9: Brandon.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yes, this is Brandon.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Stupid way you hurt yourself.
- 17:05Speaker 4: When.
- 17:06Speaker 21: I was a teenager.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I used to climb buildings for fun.
- 17:11Speaker 21: And it was my sister's 13th birthday, so I.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Asked her what she wanted to do.
- 17:16Speaker 21: And she said she wanted to accompany me on top
- 17:19Speaker 21: of one of the buildings.
- 17:20Speaker 4: So me and.
- 17:23Speaker 21: A couple of my friends, well, mine and her friends,
- 17:27Speaker 21: decided to go climb up on top of a safeway.
- 17:30Speaker 21: And we ended up having to hop a fence to
- 17:33Speaker 21: get there. So we hopped the fence. We were climbing
- 17:36Speaker 21: the ladder to get on top of the Safeway, and
- 17:39Speaker 21: I missed the top rung of the ladder, slipped and
- 17:43Speaker 21: fell 20 feet.
- 17:45Speaker 5: And broke my arm.
- 17:46Speaker 21: And after I broke my arm.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Had to try to climb the.
- 17:49Speaker 21: Fence back over to the other side of the fence
- 17:55Speaker 21: so I didn't get caught trespassing on the property.
- 17:58Speaker 22: Wow.
- 18:00Speaker 5: No, it's not a safe way.
- 18:02Speaker 11: No.
- 18:02Speaker 4: That's not a safe way.
- 18:03Speaker 3: That's the opposite of a safe way.
- 18:04Speaker 5: All right, Brandon, hold on. We'll say it. You want
- 18:06Speaker 5: 13th floor haunted house?
- 18:08Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Hold on, brother. Ren, stupid way you hurt yourself.
- 18:12Speaker 12: Hi.
- 18:13Speaker 16: So a couple years ago, I had just been smoking
- 18:16Speaker 16: with my girlfriend, and I got up to go to
- 18:19Speaker 16: the bathroom and did a quick little shuffle to.
- 18:22Speaker 10: Get to the bathroom.
- 18:24Speaker 16: In our house, we have hardwood flooring.
- 18:26Speaker 10: So under our roofs, we have rug grippers.
- 18:28Speaker 16: To keep the corners down. And my foot went between
- 18:32Speaker 16: the two rug grippers under the rug.
- 18:34Speaker 15: And it caught me.
- 18:35Speaker 7: When I was shuffling to go to the bathroom. And
- 18:37Speaker 7: I went face first into the door frame and cracked
- 18:39Speaker 7: my face open.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 18:41Speaker 9: What?
- 18:41Speaker 3: Ren.
- 18:42Speaker 19: Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die.
- 18:50Speaker 19: Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die.
- 18:57Speaker 7: I had to get eight stitches at like two.
- 18:59Speaker 2: In the morning.
- 19:00Speaker 3: That's terrifying. Oh my gosh.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Wren, you want 13th floor haunted house tickets?
- 19:07Speaker 14: I really do.
- 19:07Speaker 5: All right, hold on, Ren. We'll set you up.
- 19:09Speaker 4: So good.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Rich, do you want 13th floor?
- 19:11Speaker 4: Yes, I do.
- 19:12Speaker 3: How did you get hurt?
- 19:13Speaker 5: Let's hear how you got hurt.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Well, I had woken up in the morning, and I
- 19:17Speaker 3: kind of felt like maybe I had hurt myself a
- 19:19Speaker 3: little the day before, like going on a little walk and, like,
- 19:22Speaker 3: stepping on some high rocks and stuff. So to get
- 19:26Speaker 3: into the shower, I thought what I would do is
- 19:29Speaker 3: instead of making a wide step, I would just hop,
- 19:31Speaker 3: just hop into the shower.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Hop into the shower.
- 19:33Speaker 3: And I hopped, and as soon as I landed, my
- 19:35Speaker 3: knee snapped. And I tore my meniscus. And I'm still
- 19:39Speaker 3: dealing with it. What, four weeks later?
- 19:41Speaker 4: I'll tell you what, dude.
- 19:43Speaker 9: You win, Pharaoh.
- 19:45Speaker 5: You put it this way, you hurt yourself, and you
- 19:47Speaker 5: hopped in the shower.
- 19:48Speaker 3: I'm going to hop in the shower?
- 19:49Speaker 5: He said jump in the shower. He would have jumped
- 19:50Speaker 5: if I would have been fine.
- 19:51Speaker 3: I'm going to hop. Some men don't waste their time.
- 19:58Speaker 5: All right. That's a wrap. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 20:00Speaker 9: Microphone check.
- 20:01Speaker 6: Tap in and say what's up.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Check.
- 20:02Speaker 13: Open the free iHeartRadio app and tap the top back
- 20:05Speaker 13: mic to send John Jay and Rich a message now.
- 20:08Speaker 11: Hey, guys.
- 20:08Speaker 4: It's time for Stacks and Hacks.
- 20:09Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 4: I have stacks of information and Rich has life hacks.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Stacks and stacks of important information, like headlines. A lot
- 20:15Speaker 4: of times I just have the headline. I don't click
- 20:17Speaker 4: on the story, so don't ask me too much. But
- 20:19Speaker 4: still ask me.
- 20:19Speaker 5: You never know.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Sort of ask you.
- 20:21Speaker 9: Okay.
- 20:21Speaker 5: There's a new dating app.
- 20:23Speaker 4: That allows other people to vote on potential matches, kind
- 20:27Speaker 4: of like the game show The Love Connection. Then the
- 20:29Speaker 4: daters can see which option's got the highest percentage of votes.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I like it.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Kind of interesting, unless, like, you know, you're ugly and
- 20:35Speaker 4: all your friends want you to, you know what I mean?
- 20:37Speaker 4: If you look at it, you're like, oh, yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 3: They're kind of just messing with you, and they pick
- 20:40Speaker 3: the worst one.
- 20:41Speaker 5: It could go that way.
- 20:42Speaker 6: You'd have to pick trustworthy friends.
- 20:43Speaker 5: You would.
- 20:45Speaker 4: If you've been on TikTok recently, you might have thought,
- 20:47Speaker 4: why is everyone boiling and eating whole zucchinis right now?
- 20:49Speaker 5: I have not seen that.
- 20:50Speaker 9: Me neither.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Apparently, it's the latest snack trend. Even though it sounds weird,
- 20:54Speaker 5: people are swearing by it.
- 20:55Speaker 6: I feel like boiled zucchini would be slimy.
- 20:57Speaker 11: I'm like, ugh.
- 20:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Why are they swearing it does?
- 21:01Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Tastes like worms?
- 21:03Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 21:05Speaker 11: Pass.
- 21:06Speaker 4: 67-year-old woman in Indiana was arrested for DUI. 67.
- 21:09Speaker 5: She was caught doing donuts on the front lawn of
- 21:12Speaker 5: the courthouse.
- 21:13Speaker 11: I saw the video.
- 21:13Speaker 6: I didn't know it was a 67-year-old lady.
- 21:15Speaker 11: 67-year-old woman.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 11: Just trying to feel full of life again.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Okay, now get this. This is totally random what I'm
- 21:22Speaker 4: about to bring up to you. Totally random. Sometimes Rich
- 21:25Speaker 4: bounces off minute-to-minute questions off me.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Sometimes. And he brought something up the other day, and
- 21:31Speaker 5: now it's in my sacks and a half.
- 21:32Speaker 9: Really?
- 21:32Speaker 4: And I bet you you're the only person that can
- 21:34Speaker 4: answer this question, Rich. Does anybody here know what an
- 21:36Speaker 4: octothorpe is?
- 21:38Speaker 23: Nope.
- 21:38Speaker 11: Octothorpe?
- 21:39Speaker 6: Something with eight.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Octothorpe.
- 21:41Speaker 11: No, yeah, something with eight.
- 21:42Speaker 5: Rich, do you remember?
- 21:44Speaker 4: You asked me this yesterday.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I know, but I kind of forgot the answer.
- 21:47Speaker 11: It's a hashtag.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Oh, a hashtag.
- 21:48Speaker 4: It's a hashtag. An octothorpe?
- 21:50Speaker 5: The actual name for a hashtag is an octothorpe. Yeah.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Would you eat this glorious monstrosity? It's a Philly cheesecake
- 21:58Speaker 4: rolled into a large cheese pizza like a burrito. It's
- 22:01Speaker 4: $ 50 and feeds four or one if you're really hungry.
- 22:04Speaker 3: I would try it. Sounds good.
- 22:05Speaker 9: I'd want to buy it.
- 22:06Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 22:06Speaker 11: Thanks.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Speaking of octos, do you guys know why October is
- 22:10Speaker 5: called October?
- 22:12Speaker 3: Isn't it for one of the gods?
- 22:14Speaker 5: October? The prefix is oct, meaning eight. Uh-huh. Like octopus
- 22:20Speaker 5: or octagon.
- 22:20Speaker 6: But it's the 10th month.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Why is it called October?
- 22:23Speaker 5: It's the 10th month.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Well, because it used to be the 8th month. The
- 22:29Speaker 4: ancient Roman... Wait, wait, wait. The ancient Roman lunar calendar
- 22:32Speaker 4: had 10 months, and the winter season was excluded.
- 22:35Speaker 19: Later.
- 22:35Speaker 4: January and February were added to cover the gap. Then
- 22:38Speaker 4: January 1st became the beginning of the year, and all
- 22:40Speaker 4: the previous months were pushed back.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I've heard our calendar right now is all wrong.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Who has that power to go, let's add an extra
- 22:46Speaker 3: month on here? Caesar did the last.
- 22:48Speaker 5: One, I guess.
- 22:49Speaker 11: It makes sense, but like, yeah, who makes that call?
- 22:51Speaker 3: Caesar.
- 22:52Speaker 6: And then just everyone's like, okay.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Some more interesting facts for Stacks and Hacks. Leo Fender.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Who's that guy, Rich?
- 22:59Speaker 3: He created the Fender guitar. Leo and George. Right, so you.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Guys have heard of Fender guitar?
- 23:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 5: Apparently, a fun fact, he can't play guitar. He can't?
- 23:09Speaker 4: It says the guy who invented Fender Stratocaster electric guitars
- 23:11Speaker 4: couldn't play guitar.
- 23:12Speaker 11: You'd think you'd want to learn.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Also, giraffes and mice have the same number of vertebrae
- 23:17Speaker 5: in their necks.
- 23:18Speaker 3: That's true.
- 23:20Speaker 11: Those are some big vertebrae. I know. I was thinking
- 23:25Speaker 11: like micro ones in the... And the mouse or the rat.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Yeah. So that's what Stacks and Hacks is. I just
- 23:30Speaker 4: give you random information. Let me wrap up with this. Apparently,
- 23:33Speaker 4: there's some new baby trends going on right now that
- 23:35Speaker 4: people are expecting next year.
- 23:37Speaker 5: For one, name maxing.
- 23:39Speaker 4: People are blending two names together to make it fully maxed,
- 23:41Speaker 4: like combining Maeve and Avery to Mavery.
- 23:44Speaker 9: Oh.
- 23:45Speaker 4: And it reminds me of that show, The Gentleman. which
- 23:48Speaker 4: I'm currently watching. The older brother's name is Fredward. I've
- 23:52Speaker 4: never heard Fredward before except on that show before.
- 23:54Speaker 13: You name maxed before it was called name maxing with
- 23:57Speaker 13: your son Jake, right?
- 23:58Speaker 5: That's right. He's John Jay and Blake. Jake and Rich
- 24:01Speaker 5: came up with that.
- 24:02Speaker 4: There's also people expecting next year names from the Odyssey
- 24:05Speaker 4: movie like Ajax, Calypso, even Homer.
- 24:08Speaker 11: Athena would be the one that I would go for.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Which one?
- 24:11Speaker 11: Athena.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Lunar names are big. No one knows why yet, but
- 24:14Speaker 4: you might see names like Alara or Moon. World Cup
- 24:17Speaker 4: names like Baby Holland or Baby Enzo. And names ending
- 24:22Speaker 4: in O-M-I like Tomi, Ayomi, and Zayomi.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Those are cool.
- 24:26Speaker 5: Medieval names like Angus Winifred.
- 24:29Speaker 9: Oh.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Like Noah's mom. And Archibald. There's names like Cashmere, Golden Hampton,
- 24:33Speaker 5: and Trust. Cashmere.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Clifton, Coe, Fisher, Reef, and Tide. Ernie, Archie, and Ozzy
- 24:39Speaker 4: are making a comeback. And European place names like Florence, Marbella, Oslo,
- 24:43Speaker 4: and Roma. Anyway, Rich, what do you got for life hacks?
- 24:46Speaker 3: That midnight leg cramp. Have you guys ever had that?
- 24:48Speaker 4: Yes, it's the worst.
- 24:49Speaker 3: You wake up in the middle of the night, calf cramp,
- 24:50Speaker 3: and you're like, oh, my God, my leg's trying to
- 24:52Speaker 3: kill me. You've all had that, right?
- 24:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Well, there is a fix. Bananas. Because when you wake up, well, sure,
- 24:57Speaker 3: you're short on potassium. That's probably why that's doing that.
- 25:00Speaker 3: But that doesn't help you in the middle of the cramp.
- 25:02Speaker 3: So when that happens, here's the hack. Straighten your leg,
- 25:05Speaker 3: grab your toes, and pull them back towards your shin.
- 25:08Speaker 3: That stretches the cramp muscle out. and it can help
- 25:11Speaker 3: relax it in seconds. Now, if you can stand, put
- 25:13Speaker 3: your foot flat on the floor and then press your
- 25:16Speaker 3: heel down. Well, anyway, so don't point your toes, though.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Pull them back towards you. Don't point your toes. That
- 25:21Speaker 3: can make the cramp worse. Now you can go back
- 25:23Speaker 3: to sleep without fighting your own leg. That life hack
- 25:26Speaker 3: and many more can be found at johnjanerich.com.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Good morning, Caroline. What's going on? You're on the air.
- 25:35Speaker 10: Hey, so this girl I work with put me on
- 25:38Speaker 10: a game yesterday because she was like, wait, you don't
- 25:41Speaker 10: know what kind of friend you are. And I'm like,
- 25:43Speaker 10: hold on.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Hey, hold on.
- 25:44Speaker 5: I think you cut out for me. You said this
- 25:45Speaker 5: girl put you on a what yesterday?
- 25:47Speaker 4: Oh, sorry.
- 25:47Speaker 12: Sorry.
- 25:48Speaker 10: She put me on a game yesterday because she was like,
- 25:51Speaker 10: she was like, wait, you don't know what kind of
- 25:53Speaker 10: friend you are. Like she, like she like kind of
- 25:57Speaker 10: like put me on this, like, It's like something you
- 26:01Speaker 10: can take to figure out what kind of friend you are.
- 26:03Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 26:04Speaker 10: And I didn't know what she was talking about. Because, like, there's, like,
- 26:07Speaker 10: four friendship styles, and I had no idea. So she
- 26:10Speaker 10: had me take this test to figure out which friendship
- 26:13Speaker 10: style I was.
- 26:14Speaker 5: What are the four friendship styles?
- 26:16Speaker 10: So apparently there's Butterfly, Wallflower, Firefly, and Evergreen.
- 26:22Speaker 11: Oh.
- 26:22Speaker 18: And, yeah, actually super cute.
- 26:25Speaker 8: Names, too.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Heck, okay.
- 26:27Speaker 3: What's the one like John Jay is where it's like
- 26:29Speaker 3: you make plans and hoops that you cancel?
- 26:32Speaker 6: I would think wallflower maybe.
- 26:34Speaker 5: All right, but go on.
- 26:36Speaker 9: Go on.
- 26:36Speaker 5: So she put you on this.
- 26:37Speaker 4: We were definitely going to have to research this and
- 26:39Speaker 4: find the four friendship styles, but go on.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 10: So she said that like the butterfly, it's friends with everyone,
- 26:47Speaker 10: very social, always in the group, always down to go out.
- 26:50Speaker 10: And then like a wallflower is more selective, takes a
- 26:53Speaker 10: minute to warm up. And then like a firefly, they
- 26:56Speaker 10: just disappear for like three weeks. But like then you
- 26:59Speaker 10: hang out again and it's just like you're immediately talking
- 27:01Speaker 10: about like what you talked about last time in your childhood.
- 27:05Speaker 10: And then the evergreen needs like constant connection, like texting
- 27:09Speaker 10: every day, know everything about each other. We have each
- 27:12Speaker 10: other's location, yada, yada. And, like, I'm completely freaking out
- 27:17Speaker 10: because I realized that, like, I'm definitely an evergreen. And
- 27:20Speaker 10: I think all my friends are fireflies. And, like, this
- 27:23Speaker 10: whole time I just thought they hated me. And apparently
- 27:26Speaker 10: they just have a different friendship style.
- 27:28Speaker 5: Oh, here it is. Thank you, Mel Robbins podcast.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 27:33Speaker 4: A Harvard-trained friendship expert, researcher, and social connection shares on
- 27:38Speaker 4: the Mel Robbins podcast that four friendship styles exist.
- 27:41Speaker 5: The butterfly, the wildflower, the firefly, and everything.
- 27:43Speaker 4: I already know there's more than four because I'm not
- 27:45Speaker 4: one of those.
- 27:47Speaker 6: What would you add, John Jay?
- 27:48Speaker 4: What would I be?
- 27:49Speaker 5: I would be the stink bug.
- 27:52Speaker 23: You know what i've heard i actually heard part of
- 27:55Speaker 23: that podcast and you know what they say the number
- 27:57Speaker 23: one thing that makes you good friends with somebody is
- 28:00Speaker 23: is proximity just that they're close enough to you they're
- 28:03Speaker 23: geographically desirable so they're saying like let's say you're in
- 28:05Speaker 23: college that you're 90 more likely to be friends with
- 28:09Speaker 23: somebody that lives across the hall than down the hall
- 28:11Speaker 23: because down the hall is too far.
- 28:12Speaker 11: Yeah like familiar faces but i do find that interesting
- 28:15Speaker 11: because it kind of reminds me of like love languages
- 28:18Speaker 11: right like everyone has their own way of doing things
- 28:21Speaker 11: and so everyone has their own styles of friendships and
- 28:23Speaker 11: if you know what kind of friend your friend is
- 28:26Speaker 11: and they need a little bit of that constant validation
- 28:28Speaker 11: you can fill that need for them if you haven't
- 28:30Speaker 11: been doing that.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Before look i found the article and there's there's a
- 28:33Speaker 4: tiktok that goes to it so let's see let's listen
- 28:36Speaker 4: to it let's see if it explains have.
- 28:37Speaker 24: You ever had a friend that you really like but
- 28:39Speaker 24: you feel like it's hard to be friends with them
- 28:42Speaker 24: Or you just feel like.
- 28:43Speaker 11: They really drain your energy.
- 28:44Speaker 24: Because apparently, I just found out there's four different types
- 28:47Speaker 24: of friendship styles. The four different styles are broken down
- 28:50Speaker 24: by one, how frequently you like to interact with your friends.
- 28:53Speaker 24: And two, how deep you want those interactions to be.
- 28:56Speaker 24: The first type is the butterfly. Speaks for itself, social
- 28:59Speaker 24: butterfly who can talk to anyone about anything. They like frequent,
- 29:02Speaker 24: casual interactions. The other side of it is something called
- 29:05Speaker 24: an evergreen, which is someone who likes a lot of
- 29:08Speaker 24: frequent interactions with But they wanted to be with their
- 29:11Speaker 24: close friends. They wanted to be those like deep. meaningful
- 29:14Speaker 24: interactions they're not going to just talk to anybody at
- 29:16Speaker 24: a bar next type is someone called a firefly there's
- 29:18Speaker 24: someone who does prefer less frequent interactions you can say
- 29:22Speaker 24: but when they do interact with your friends they have
- 29:24Speaker 24: a really deep meaningful interaction this is honestly someone like
- 29:27Speaker 24: me like i'm kind of like hard to get out
- 29:28Speaker 24: of the house sometimes i'm sorry to my friends but
- 29:31Speaker 24: once you get me out of the house i swear
- 29:33Speaker 24: i'm like there with you i'm having fun i'm very
- 29:35Speaker 24: present The last one is called the wallflower. Everyone kind
- 29:38Speaker 24: of knows like there's someone who prefers less frequent interactions
- 29:41Speaker 24: that are also more casual.
- 29:42Speaker 11: They're more reserved.
- 29:43Speaker 24: Anyways, comment down below what you think.
- 29:46Speaker 11: Wallflower, John Jay. Yeah, definitely a wallflower.
- 29:47Speaker 6: I would apply to you.
- 29:48Speaker 4: I'm a wallflower?
- 29:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 29:49Speaker 6: You don't want any frequent.
- 29:50Speaker 4: You don't want any interaction.
- 29:52Speaker 5: I don't.
- 29:52Speaker 4: What are you?
- 29:53Speaker 3: She's an evergreen.
- 29:54Speaker 5: You're a butterfly.
- 29:55Speaker 6: No, I don't need constant attention from my friends.
- 29:58Speaker 11: Is that evergreen? No, evergreen is the one.
- 30:00Speaker 6: I thought that was the unique super frequent.
- 30:03Speaker 5: It's funny.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Caroline has told us what they are. we've read the article,
- 30:08Speaker 4: we've played the audio, and we still don't know.
- 30:10Speaker 13: I just didn't think I instantly thought, oh, that's definitely me,
- 30:12Speaker 13: because I think I'm like a mixture of some of them.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I'll take that.
- 30:15Speaker 6: Depending on like, I think what mood I'm.
- 30:17Speaker 17: In, maybe.
- 30:17Speaker 11: Maybe like a wallflower for you then, Kyle.
- 30:19Speaker 3: What about you, Peyton?
- 30:20Speaker 5: What are you?
- 30:20Speaker 11: I think I'm probably a social butterfly, but I don't
- 30:23Speaker 11: need like constant attention from my friends by any means,
- 30:26Speaker 11: unless it's my birthday. Then you better be there.
- 30:28Speaker 3: You better bring it.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Thanks for bringing it up, Caroline. Thanks for listening.
- 30:32Speaker 9: Oh my God.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Hold on a second. Hold on, Caroline. Ava, good morning.
- 30:35Speaker 14: Hi, I was just listening to you guys and I
- 30:38Speaker 14: heard that girl talking about friendship styles. And I am
- 30:43Speaker 14: like screaming because my best friend is 100% a firefly.
- 30:48Speaker 14: Like everything just makes so much sense now. This girl
- 30:51Speaker 14: will like not answer me for literally a month. Like,
- 30:54Speaker 14: I'll send her a TikTok, nothing. I'll ask if we
- 30:56Speaker 14: want to, you know, go out and get drinks, get
- 30:58Speaker 14: dinner or something, nothing. And then, like, randomly on a
- 31:02Speaker 14: Tuesday at, like, 10.46 p.m., she'll FaceTime me from, like,
- 31:06Speaker 14: her bathtub or something and just be like, okay, so
- 31:10Speaker 14: I think my parents getting divorced when I was little is, like,
- 31:12Speaker 14: why I keep dating men with ankle monitors. And then
- 31:15Speaker 14: just go off on this whole, like, tangent. And then
- 31:18Speaker 14: we talk for, like, three hours. Like, we didn't just go, like...
- 31:21Speaker 14: I don't know, 34 business days without speaking. And like,
- 31:26Speaker 14: I used to think that she was just like a
- 31:27Speaker 14: horrible friend, but now it's apparently she's just like a firefly.
- 31:30Speaker 12: Okay.
- 31:32Speaker 5: Well, you backed up everything we just talked about. That's cool.
- 31:34Speaker 5: I had no idea.
- 31:35Speaker 4: To some extent. It's like we brought up the other day.
- 31:39Speaker 4: We deep dive too much into things that exist already.
- 31:42Speaker 4: We're trying to put labels on everything. I can't imagine
- 31:45Speaker 4: back like when I was making friends that I would
- 31:47Speaker 4: be like, what kind of friend are you?
- 31:49Speaker 11: I do like this though.
- 31:51Speaker 13: Because it could give you like a different, more deeper
- 31:55Speaker 13: understanding of who your friend is.
- 31:56Speaker 6: And then maybe even like. Reduce some fights.
- 31:58Speaker 13: Cause you're like, you're one type and you want all
- 32:01Speaker 13: the attention, but your other friend is like the exact opposite.
- 32:03Speaker 13: It just gives you that. Cause I remember I had
- 32:05Speaker 13: a fight with one of our girlfriends and she was like,
- 32:07Speaker 13: you guys started checking in on me, blah, blah, blah.
- 32:09Speaker 6: And we're like, we feel like we were checking in
- 32:11Speaker 6: on you.
- 32:11Speaker 13: But in her perspective, she needed that super frequent all
- 32:15Speaker 13: the time, but we didn't.
- 32:18Speaker 6: And now we know.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Thanks Ava.
- 32:20Speaker 5: Thanks Ava.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Thanks for calling in.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Do you know what we need to do? We need
- 32:23Speaker 3: to do a podcast on how everybody needs to label everything.
- 32:26Speaker 3: We're going to have to, Come up with a name
- 32:28Speaker 3: for it. Let's call it fast labeling. You're fast labeling.
- 32:30Speaker 11: I feel like we need like a new dictionary that
- 32:32Speaker 11: gives us like all of the new trendy definitions.
- 32:36Speaker 3: For things that we've already defined.
- 32:38Speaker 19: All right, it's Dante and Rich.
- 32:54Speaker 5: So today's like a holiday in some places. In some places,
- 32:56Speaker 5: it's not a holiday today.
- 32:58Speaker 6: I think it is a holiday.
- 32:59Speaker 13: It's just some businesses recognize it and some don't. Indigenous
- 33:03Speaker 13: People Day, formerly known as Columbus Day.
- 33:05Speaker 4: There's like 24 states that give you paid vacation time.
- 33:10Speaker 3: We apparently are not one of them.
- 33:11Speaker 5: I guess not. I was telling you guys off air.
- 33:15Speaker 5: This place kills me.
- 33:17Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 33:18Speaker 6: Rich asked you three times.
- 33:19Speaker 5: I was going to tell you guys, and I thought
- 33:22Speaker 5: I'll tell you on the air, just because it's office stuff,
- 33:24Speaker 5: and maybe people can relate to office stuff. So you
- 33:28Speaker 5: know how I'm new to the coffee world? Yes.
- 33:30Speaker 6: For seven years.
- 33:31Speaker 4: The radio station supplies coffee for us, and it's this
- 33:34Speaker 4: high-tech machine. And then they have a smaller high-tech machine
- 33:38Speaker 4: in the kitchen of the lobby, right? And I do
- 33:41Speaker 4: a coffee with two little espresso shots in the morning.
- 33:44Speaker 4: And I save money so I don't have to go
- 33:46Speaker 4: to Starbucks. But the espresso, every once in a while,
- 33:49Speaker 4: like once or twice a year, they run out and
- 33:52Speaker 4: they don't refill it for the longest time.
- 33:53Speaker 5: It's like on back order.
- 33:55Speaker 4: So the last time this happened, once they refilled it,
- 33:57Speaker 4: I took a couple espresso packages and I hid them somewhere.
- 34:00Speaker 5: In the kitchen.
- 34:01Speaker 9: Right.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Well, that way I would have a day to prepare
- 34:04Speaker 4: to know that tomorrow I got to go to Starbucks, right?
- 34:06Speaker 5: Until they do it.
- 34:08Speaker 4: So this morning I was like, oh my God, I
- 34:10Speaker 4: hid those packages. Let me go find them. And sure enough,
- 34:13Speaker 4: they were right where I hid them. Just like when
- 34:14Speaker 4: I was a kid, I used to hide things in
- 34:16Speaker 4: my house. I found two espresso packages.
- 34:18Speaker 5: Very excited.
- 34:19Speaker 4: I go to make the espresso this morning, and the
- 34:22Speaker 4: espresso part of the coffee machine is broken.
- 34:26Speaker 6: What are the chances?
- 34:27Speaker 4: I go to the kitchen where we have the backup
- 34:30Speaker 4: coffee machine, and it's all digital, and they don't even
- 34:34Speaker 4: have the espresso feature. So I thought it must fit
- 34:36Speaker 4: under another. You press a button, and it's coffee. Press
- 34:39Speaker 4: a button, it's hot cocoa. Press a button, and it's tea.
- 34:42Speaker 4: And I thought there wasn't a button for espresso. So
- 34:44Speaker 4: I hit the button for coffee and I put the
- 34:46Speaker 4: espresso packet in and.
- 34:47Speaker 5: It eats my packet.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Might have broken that machine.
- 34:50Speaker 5: And I'm like, this place kills me.
- 34:52Speaker 4: This place just kills me, you guys.
- 34:56Speaker 3: So that means that you have not bought your own
- 34:58Speaker 3: coffee pot, which is all glass, no plastic yet.
- 35:02Speaker 5: I'm doing research on that.
- 35:03Speaker 4: A lot of people are messaging me with different links
- 35:05Speaker 4: to coffee pots that don't have plastic. Plastic's the big thing.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Apparently there's a thousand of them because that's all I'm
- 35:10Speaker 3: getting on my Instagram now is all your plastic-free coffee
- 35:13Speaker 3: pot maker.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Plastic in your body is like the biggest thing right
- 35:16Speaker 4: now going on in the bio-hacking world, how to get
- 35:20Speaker 4: rid of microplastics. But at any rate, crazy, huh? This
- 35:23Speaker 4: place kills me. So Peyton was like all over you.
- 35:26Speaker 4: You're a part of some sort of like you were
- 35:28Speaker 4: on top of something, the pulse of something going on
- 35:31Speaker 4: in pop culture.
- 35:32Speaker 11: Literally, it was pretty crazy. So yesterday after we had
- 35:35Speaker 11: walked in the pride parade, my little brother and I
- 35:38Speaker 11: and a couple of his friends, we were like so hungry.
- 35:40Speaker 11: So we're like, let's just go to the Lolo's Chicken
- 35:43Speaker 11: and Waffles right in downtown Phoenix, right? So we pull
- 35:46Speaker 11: up to the Lolo's Chicken and Waffles. And my friend Maddie,
- 35:49Speaker 11: she notices, she's like, why is there a G-Wagon parked
- 35:52Speaker 11: out front? And I was like, oh, that's kind of weird.
- 35:55Speaker 5: Why they're not allowed to do that?
- 35:56Speaker 11: Well, like, it just was like, it.
- 35:57Speaker 13: Just seemed a little out of place.
- 36:01Speaker 11: No, it just seemed a little out of place. Like,
- 36:02Speaker 11: if you've been to that Lolo's, it's kind of tucked
- 36:04Speaker 11: away in the corner. It's a little ducked off of downtown.
- 36:06Speaker 11: It just seemed a little out of place. And we
- 36:09Speaker 11: look over and we're sitting like sitting out on the
- 36:11Speaker 11: patio is Blueface and Krishan Rock. So if you don't
- 36:15Speaker 11: know who Blueface is, Blueface is a rapper. Yeah, I listen.
- 36:20Speaker 4: To his songs all the time.
- 36:25Speaker 19: So you see me recognize you.
- 36:34Speaker 11: We recognize him because this is Blueface and he is
- 36:37Speaker 11: all over social media because quite honestly, he's kind of
- 36:40Speaker 11: lost his mind a little bit. Like he got all
- 36:42Speaker 11: these face tattoos.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah, you've talked about that.
- 36:44Speaker 11: His relationships are publicly, like, out there on blast. He
- 36:47Speaker 11: live streams him getting into it with his baby mamas
- 36:51Speaker 11: and his kids and all of these things. Like, truth
- 36:53Speaker 11: be told, I feel like they kind of remind me of, like,
- 36:55Speaker 11: how people said Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston were, like,
- 36:58Speaker 11: that kind of crazy.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Except they're not Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.
- 37:00Speaker 11: Except they're not Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston because they're
- 37:02Speaker 11: not famous.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Everybody knew who Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston were.
- 37:03Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 37:04Speaker 4: But that kind of talk.
- 37:04Speaker 11: Toxic love, you get what I'm saying? That toxic energy
- 37:08Speaker 11: is exactly what they give. And so yesterday, we pulled
- 37:12Speaker 11: up to Lolo's, and I'm looking around the restaurant. So
- 37:14Speaker 11: I walk up to the server, and I'm like, hey,
- 37:16Speaker 11: can we sit outside? It's a really nice day out.
- 37:18Speaker 11: But I really just want to spy on Blueface and
- 37:20Speaker 11: Chris Sean from a distance. So we get sat out
- 37:23Speaker 11: on the patio with them and usually they're live streaming
- 37:26Speaker 11: all of the time. Like literally Blueface and Krishan just
- 37:29Speaker 11: had CPS called on them in their own home in
- 37:31Speaker 11: LA just a couple weeks ago because that's how much
- 37:33Speaker 11: they put their stuff out there on the internet and
- 37:35Speaker 11: people don't like it. And so I'm looking, I'm like,
- 37:38Speaker 11: are they vlogging? Are they live streaming? Are they doing whatever?
- 37:42Speaker 11: And so I'm like kind of watching the whole time
- 37:44Speaker 11: and there was no cameras. They weren't filming, they weren't
- 37:46Speaker 11: doing anything. It was like maybe 15 or 20 of
- 37:49Speaker 11: them just like hanging out. And at one point, Krishan
- 37:52Speaker 11: was eating and me and her made eye contact. And
- 37:54Speaker 11: I was like, can we take a picture? And I
- 37:56Speaker 11: get up to go and take a picture with her
- 37:58Speaker 11: because she's like, yeah, girl, I'm down. So it's blue face, Krishan,
- 38:02Speaker 11: me and my friend Maddie. Then I'm like, all right,
- 38:05Speaker 11: blue face, like you low key kind of suck. I
- 38:06Speaker 11: want a picture with Krishan. I ask her for a picture.
- 38:09Speaker 11: She looks at him and he's like, yeah, that's fine.
- 38:12Speaker 11: I was like, I was like, I was like, that
- 38:17Speaker 11: is tea because you like, he has this hold on
- 38:21Speaker 11: her that you see it's all over the internet. It's
- 38:24Speaker 11: really toxic and it's really disturbing actually.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Could it be also that they're having a family breakfast
- 38:31Speaker 4: or lunch or whatever? And it's like, Hey, is it okay?
- 38:34Speaker 4: that I interrupt this to take a picture with the fan.
- 38:36Speaker 4: It's not about control.
- 38:38Speaker 6: I mean, at that point, they had already taken a picture, though.
- 38:40Speaker 11: Yeah, so he took a picture with us, and it
- 38:42Speaker 11: was just kind of odd energy. But once we had
- 38:45Speaker 11: gotten up and taken the picture, then everyone in Lolo
- 38:47Speaker 11: started coming and walking around and started taking pictures.
- 38:49Speaker 3: That's probably why.
- 38:50Speaker 11: Then the cameras came out.
- 38:51Speaker 4: So where's your picture? Do you post it?
- 38:53Speaker 11: Yeah, I post it on my story, but I'll post
- 38:55Speaker 11: it on our Instagram, at John Jay and Rich. But
- 38:57Speaker 11: what was even crazier is they ended up at the
- 38:59Speaker 11: Cardinals game last night. And then Krishan and Blueface were
- 39:02Speaker 11: at some club. I don't know what club it was.
- 39:04Speaker 11: And he proposed to her. He proposed to her.
- 39:08Speaker 3: And then threw shade at.
- 39:10Speaker 11: His baby mama and basically was like, yeah, you ain't
- 39:12Speaker 11: got it like this. He just had a kid like
- 39:14Speaker 11: a month ago with another woman.
- 39:16Speaker 4: It's important to get that out.
- 39:19Speaker 9: Of the way.
- 39:19Speaker 6: I mean, I guess. But oh my gosh.
- 39:22Speaker 3: I was just like. Maybe you ignited the romance since
- 39:24Speaker 3: there was permission for the pic.
- 39:26Speaker 11: Yeah, he was like, you know what?
- 39:27Speaker 13: If you would have said, if you would have just
- 39:29Speaker 13: taken that picture without asking me.
- 39:30Speaker 3: No proposal.
- 39:32Speaker 13: You would have never seen the ring.
- 39:33Speaker 11: Guys, the tea was so hot.
- 39:35Speaker 6: It was crazy.
- 39:36Speaker 11: I was gagged.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Next time you say, hey, can you jump on our
- 39:37Speaker 5: radio show?
- 39:38Speaker 4: Here's our number. I was sorry.
- 39:39Speaker 11: I was nervous.
- 39:41Speaker 6: She almost didn't ask for the picture.
- 39:42Speaker 11: She was texting me. I got a text from Peyton.
- 39:45Speaker 13: So we all walked in the pride parade, right? And
- 39:47Speaker 13: then we all went our separate ways. And I'm sitting
- 39:50Speaker 13: there with my family and I get this text from Peyton.
- 39:51Speaker 6: She's like, oh my gosh.
- 39:53Speaker 11: Oh my gosh.
- 39:54Speaker 6: You're never going to believe this.
- 39:55Speaker 11: Blueface and Chris Donner here. I really want a picture.
- 39:57Speaker 6: I can't ask him for a picture. I was like,
- 39:59Speaker 6: Go ask for the picture. You are not shy, girl.
- 40:03Speaker 5: He was with 15, 20 people.
- 40:04Speaker 11: It was like, yeah, a group of all of them.
- 40:06Speaker 11: And it actually was kind of wild. They sent someone
- 40:08Speaker 11: to come and sit next to us at the other
- 40:10Speaker 11: table to kind of keep an eye on us if
- 40:11Speaker 11: we were filming. And we were.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 40:14Speaker 9: Of course.
- 40:14Speaker 6: What were they going to do if you were filming?
- 40:16Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 40:17Speaker 3: They put all their stuff out there anyway.
- 40:18Speaker 11: I think they were just spying on us.
- 40:20Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 40:20Speaker 11: I don't have TMZ on speed dial.
- 40:22Speaker 3: You probably have more followers than they do.
- 40:24Speaker 11: Oh, my gosh. I was just like, I really like
- 40:26Speaker 11: to know it about it all before it all happened, though.
- 40:28Speaker 11: I was like, I know something you don't know.
- 40:30Speaker 13: And then you're a part of their story of the
- 40:33Speaker 13: night they got engaged.
- 40:34Speaker 11: Which is kind of cool. I was at their family.
- 40:36Speaker 11: I had brunch with Blueface and Christian.
- 40:38Speaker 4: What's up, Sarah?
- 40:38Speaker 9: You're on the air.
- 40:40Speaker 12: Hi, I just was calling.
- 40:42Speaker 16: Peyton, I started calling before I heard you talk about
- 40:45Speaker 16: them getting engaged. And I was going to call to
- 40:47Speaker 16: be like, oh, my God, I just saw that they
- 40:49Speaker 16: got engaged yesterday. So I was calling to comment on that.
- 40:53Speaker 16: Had you guys not said it?
- 40:54Speaker 3: Like not at the Cardinals game, not on the Jumbotron.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Not at the Cardinals game.
- 40:57Speaker 16: You guys, it was KK Ratchet.
- 40:59Speaker 11: Like they were in the club. You know how when
- 41:00Speaker 11: you ring out the club and it's like, happy birthday.
- 41:03Speaker 11: They're coming out with bottle service. And it's like, will
- 41:05Speaker 11: you marry me? And Krishan's like on the floor. I'm like, girl,
- 41:07Speaker 11: get up.
- 41:08Speaker 3: That sounds like that's on brand though for them, right?
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 41:11Speaker 11: It's like the most bizarre relationship ever. It just, it
- 41:14Speaker 11: blows my mind.
- 41:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 41:16Speaker 16: They have a video already posted about it.
- 41:19Speaker 14: We're going to have to, we're going to have.
- 41:20Speaker 16: To like the whole sign and everything.
- 41:22Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 41:23Speaker 15: It's kind of crazy.
- 41:24Speaker 5: Well, thanks for calling in Sarah and backing up the story.
- 41:26Speaker 16: Of course.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 41:27Speaker 12: All right.
- 41:28Speaker 18: Have a good day guys.
- 41:29Speaker 4: I would have been like, what are they eating at
- 41:30Speaker 4: Lolo's Chicken and Waffles? Mac and cheese and the banana pudding.
- 41:33Speaker 11: Yeah, I think I saw a tri-tri over there.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Kool-Aid? Did they get any Kool-Aid? A double D.
- 41:37Speaker 11: Of course, there was the Kool-Aid.
- 41:39Speaker 4: They got the best Kool-Aid. Number one movie at the
- 41:41Speaker 4: box office is The Other Mommy. And I remember when
- 41:43Speaker 4: the commercial dropped, the trailer for it, people were like
- 41:46Speaker 4: freaked out by it.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 41:47Speaker 4: I didn't watch it. I was like, because I heard
- 41:48Speaker 4: it was scary, I was going to change the channel.
- 41:50Speaker 4: But Jeff, you saw it?
- 41:52Speaker 9: Yeah. And? Oh, yeah. Oh, it's amazing. It's amazing. It's
- 41:58Speaker 9: definitely got super adult Coraline vibes.
- 42:00Speaker 3: That's right. That's right.
- 42:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Cause Coraline's the same sort of thing where the, uh,
- 42:04Speaker 3: the Terry Hatcher is the other money. It's like the inspiration.
- 42:07Speaker 4: I don't know the story. I don't know Coraline either. Well,
- 42:11Speaker 4: what is it? Really?
- 42:13Speaker 5: Yeah. What happens?
- 42:14Speaker 9: Well, well, in the story of Coraline, it's kind of
- 42:17Speaker 9: a kid's horror movie, but it actually scares the crap
- 42:20Speaker 9: out of a lot of adults.
- 42:21Speaker 3: It's really scary.
- 42:23Speaker 9: Yeah, it's basically about a little girl that goes into
- 42:26Speaker 9: another world and wants to stay in the other world,
- 42:29Speaker 9: but then finds out that it's, like, super creepy and
- 42:31Speaker 9: evil and controlled by this entity called the Other Mommy.
- 42:36Speaker 9: But in the new one, you know, it's just the
- 42:39Speaker 9: Other Mommy is trying to get into this world and
- 42:43Speaker 9: become the control of this world and take over the family.
- 42:47Speaker 9: That's kind of how storyline ends, isn't it?
- 42:50Speaker 11: Like, she tries to come out through the... Uh-huh.
- 42:55Speaker 9: This is kind of– and then the adult version is more–
- 43:00Speaker 9: the mom is– it's the mom that's experiencing seeing the
- 43:05Speaker 9: other stuff and the freaky stuff instead of the kid.
- 43:07Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 43:10Speaker 11: I saw that there was like 130 jump scares in
- 43:13Speaker 11: that movie. Oh, yeah.
- 43:15Speaker 3: The trailer alone just is so unnerving that you don't
- 43:18Speaker 3: need to watch the movie.
- 43:19Speaker 11: It's definitely creepy.
- 43:20Speaker 3: It's so bad.
- 43:20Speaker 4: I didn't watch the trailer. Just from the title, I
- 43:22Speaker 4: figured it had to do with some evil stepmom. That's
- 43:23Speaker 4: how I figured it was about, but it's not.
- 43:25Speaker 11: She has this weird smile, and she will turn her
- 43:28Speaker 11: neck upside down.
- 43:29Speaker 4: That's the new thing with scary movies are weird smiles of.
- 43:31Speaker 11: The crazy women.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Weird smiles are creepy.
- 43:34Speaker 11: I get it. I don't like it.
- 43:36Speaker 4: There's the thing, I think, about copying ideas from other movies.
- 43:40Speaker 4: You see that Ben Affleck movie came out, Animal?
- 43:42Speaker 3: I watched it.
- 43:43Speaker 5: So did I. So did I.
- 43:44Speaker 4: And it is almost identical to the movie that came
- 43:46Speaker 4: out a while ago with Denzel Washington that I told
- 43:48Speaker 4: you guys about. I don't think anyone here watched it.
- 43:50Speaker 5: Which one?
- 43:50Speaker 3: What was it called?
- 43:50Speaker 4: I can't remember what it was called, but it was
- 43:52Speaker 4: Denzel Washington. And it's the exact same thing. Exact same.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Except the Denzel Washington one was a lot better. ASAP
- 43:57Speaker 4: Rocky was in it.
- 43:58Speaker 3: I mean, this wasn't great. That's a good thing. It
- 44:00Speaker 3: was only on Netflix. Well, the Denzel one was on
- 44:04Speaker 3: Apple TV.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it kind of.
- 44:06Speaker 11: Is it the lowest?
- 44:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Highest to Lowest. That was really good.
- 44:08Speaker 3: It's one of those things where it's like, you can tell,
- 44:10Speaker 3: it's like, we can't put this in theaters. People are
- 44:12Speaker 3: going to be mad at us. Let's just stick it
- 44:13Speaker 3: on Netflix.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Okay.
- 44:15Speaker 11: Mad because it's like a mid-movie?
- 44:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not mad at a rainy day Ben Affleck movie.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Watch it about an hour and a half, and then
- 44:21Speaker 3: it just ends with everybody shooting everybody.
- 44:22Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 44:23Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 44:23Speaker 5: I had a problem with it.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Like, the very beginning, his kid gets kidnapped trick-or-treating. So
- 44:28Speaker 4: be careful when you're out trick-or-treating. His kid gets kidnapped trick-or-treating.
- 44:31Speaker 4: But he doesn't know that yet, and he's a politician.
- 44:34Speaker 4: He's running for mayor, and he gets.
- 44:35Speaker 5: A phone call. I have your son.
- 44:37Speaker 4: And he just loses his mind right away. I would
- 44:40Speaker 4: have been like, man, shut up.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Click. Like, you know what I mean?
- 44:42Speaker 11: Like you would have thought it was a scammer.
- 44:44Speaker 4: And he even talks to his people like it's a scammer,
- 44:46Speaker 4: but he's screaming at the top of his lungs. I'm like,
- 44:48Speaker 4: before you don't even know if he's kidnapped yet.
- 44:50Speaker 19: I will kill you.
- 44:51Speaker 4: Losing his mind. And I'm like, I think before you
- 44:54Speaker 4: get there, you got to make sure it really has
- 44:57Speaker 4: the kid because the kid went trick or treating with
- 45:00Speaker 4: the nanny.
- 45:02Speaker 5: It just doesn't seem, it just seemed too much. It
- 45:03Speaker 5: was too much overacting. And then at the very end,
- 45:06Speaker 5: it was like.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Oh, come on. Yeah, it was an oh, come on
- 45:09Speaker 4: ending for sure. Now, good television, I'll tell you this
- 45:12Speaker 4: for sure. Anybody watching Mobland?
- 45:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:15Speaker 5: Did you see the most recent episode?
- 45:16Speaker 3: Yes, I did.
- 45:17Speaker 4: It's one of those shows. It's episode three, season two,
- 45:20Speaker 4: episode three of Mobland. What happens in that show, and
- 45:23Speaker 4: it's done by Guy Ritchie, Madonna's ex-husband. What happens in
- 45:26Speaker 4: that show at the end? Has disturbed me so much
- 45:29Speaker 4: that it kept me up last night thinking about it.
- 45:31Speaker 4: It was so well done.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Yeah, the evil guy is really good at being evil.
- 45:36Speaker 5: I'm talking about something else that happened.
- 45:38Speaker 7: Oh.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Are you up to date on the– I am. So
- 45:40Speaker 4: you saw what happened with the cop? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 45:43Speaker 4: There's this– Yeah, that was sad. There's this powerful dramatic
- 45:47Speaker 4: scene that is so disturbing. And then, so Guy Ritchie
- 45:50Speaker 4: did that. Guy Ritchie also did The Gentleman, and The
- 45:52Speaker 4: Gentleman season two came out. And if you watched The Gentleman,
- 45:55Speaker 4: the last episode of The Gentleman is so disturbing that, again,
- 45:59Speaker 4: it's like I want to get these thoughts out of
- 46:02Speaker 4: my head. I haven't seen a TV show like that
- 46:03Speaker 4: that has disturbed me in a long time.
- 46:06Speaker 11: The Gentleman, which one was that? Was that the one
- 46:07Speaker 11: with the guy and he had the steel foot?
- 46:10Speaker 3: No, it's like his family's rich, and he finds out
- 46:13Speaker 3: that one of the reasons they were rich is because
- 46:15Speaker 3: his parents had a hidden pot farm. Like underneath, they're
- 46:19Speaker 3: doing drugs. So it's kind of like, they're both kind
- 46:21Speaker 3: of mob, English mob, modern day English mob, but like
- 46:24Speaker 3: really elite, wealthy people.
- 46:27Speaker 4: I thought it was, he started the marijuana thing. I
- 46:30Speaker 4: guess he went into business. He's a Duke of England
- 46:34Speaker 4: and he has all these castles. And underneath all these castles,
- 46:37Speaker 4: he starts growing weed and selling weed. And it's not
- 46:39Speaker 4: legal yet in England.
- 46:40Speaker 11: Sounds like my kind of party.
- 46:41Speaker 4: People start dying everywhere. And then season two is a
- 46:43Speaker 4: little bit different. I haven't watched season two yet, but
- 46:45Speaker 4: Mobland's awesome. Wait, something big going on in the news, big, big, big,
- 46:50Speaker 4: big in the news is the Kelly Clarkson drama.
- 46:52Speaker 5: For example, Kyle, what's a setup for that?
- 46:54Speaker 6: So she actually, she took to X. Formerly known as Twitter.
- 46:59Speaker 6: I can't call it Exeter. That's so weird still.
- 47:01Speaker 9: I get it.
- 47:01Speaker 12: Okay.
- 47:02Speaker 13: And she was like, hey, y'all should go check out
- 47:04Speaker 13: Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated
- 47:06Speaker 13: like Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman.
- 47:09Speaker 6: For sure, check it out. Thumbs down.
- 47:11Speaker 13: So the story is she allegedly went in and they
- 47:14Speaker 13: made her feel like she couldn't afford to buy something there.
- 47:18Speaker 6: And she felt like crap.
- 47:19Speaker 13: And then she left and then she went off on
- 47:21Speaker 13: social media. The store claims that she went in and
- 47:25Speaker 13: tried to buy this one of a kind singing, talking
- 47:28Speaker 13: bird that wasn't for sale. It's part of the magic
- 47:30Speaker 13: of the store. And they say, hey, you tried to
- 47:34Speaker 13: buy something that wasn't for sale. It wasn't like we
- 47:36Speaker 13: were telling you, like it was a miscommunication and something.
- 47:40Speaker 13: But yeah, she was like, basically like, I got pretty woman.
- 47:43Speaker 4: So she says, I got pretty woman. And the whole
- 47:45Speaker 4: drama is also like, so she, it was it. They
- 47:48Speaker 4: said it wasn't for sale, but there's a picture of
- 47:49Speaker 4: it with a $ 15, 000 price tag on it.
- 47:50Speaker 5: Right.
- 47:51Speaker 6: And then she was like, you missed out on a
- 47:52Speaker 6: big sale, blah, blah, blah.
- 47:54Speaker 4: But then they reposted a picture and took out the
- 47:56Speaker 4: price tag and said it was never for sale.
- 47:58Speaker 11: Oh, my gosh.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Not editing that. So we just want to do, real quick,
- 48:02Speaker 4: have you ever been pretty woman? I mean, it happens
- 48:04Speaker 4: to me all the time. I mean, I walk into
- 48:06Speaker 4: a place. No, I've been with you. I've been with you.
- 48:08Speaker 5: It's unbelievable.
- 48:09Speaker 3: John Jay tried on a pair of sunglasses with me,
- 48:11Speaker 3: and the clerk looked at him, and he made the
- 48:13Speaker 3: motion of take off the sunglasses, and he shook his
- 48:15Speaker 3: head no. He didn't say a word to John Jay.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Eric, were you pretty woman?
- 48:22Speaker 12: Yes, I guess I was pretty woman. So when I
- 48:25Speaker 12: was 25 years old, I went to a Cadillac dealership.
- 48:29Speaker 12: And I was looking at a CTS coupe that I
- 48:31Speaker 12: wanted to buy, a brand new one. And then I
- 48:34Speaker 12: started walking around and then this salesman comes up to
- 48:37Speaker 12: me and he goes, hey, sit down over here at
- 48:40Speaker 12: my desk and let's talk.
- 48:42Speaker 14: I was like, okay.
- 48:43Speaker 12: And then within the first 30 seconds, he says, these
- 48:45Speaker 12: cars are really expensive. So how much do you make?
- 48:49Speaker 12: And I told him my income and I was like, oh,
- 48:52Speaker 12: I make $ 200, 000 a year.
- 48:53Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, okay.
- 48:54Speaker 12: Before we test drive, do.
- 48:55Speaker 9: You want coffee?
- 48:56Speaker 1: Do you want pizza?
- 48:57Speaker 4: Do you want some water?
- 48:58Speaker 12: So he rolled out the red carpet for me.
- 49:01Speaker 5: Wow. You were a pretty woman.
- 49:03Speaker 6: He was judging you hard. Why don't you have a seat, buddy?
- 49:07Speaker 5: That's hardcore.
- 49:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 49:09Speaker 12: I was wearing like gym shorts and, you know, a
- 49:11Speaker 12: regular t-shirt.
- 49:12Speaker 9: So I kind of looked like a bum going in.
- 49:15Speaker 5: Did you buy the car?
- 49:17Speaker 9: Oh, I did. I, you know, that guy had an
- 49:19Speaker 9: easy sale.
- 49:19Speaker 5: I already knew what I wanted to buy.
- 49:21Speaker 11: See, I wouldn't even want to give him my sale.
- 49:23Speaker 11: I would just come back like two days later and
- 49:25Speaker 11: find someone else.
- 49:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:27Speaker 11: I'm like, that's just.
- 49:28Speaker 9: No, I want, I wanted the car. I don't fuck around.
- 49:33Speaker 9: All right.
- 49:33Speaker 5: Thanks, Eric. Sarah, when were you pretty woman?
- 49:39Speaker 7: So a couple of years ago, we were, me and
- 49:41Speaker 7: a group of friends who are all very heavily tattooed
- 49:44Speaker 7: in a little boutique on a coastal town with probably
- 49:47Speaker 7: about $ 2, 000 worth of merchandise that we had decided to buy.
- 49:50Speaker 7: And we had the workers like following us around the
- 49:53Speaker 7: store and they finally said, um, excuse me, have you
- 49:55Speaker 7: checked the prices on those? They're kind of spendy. So
- 49:59Speaker 7: we just set everything down and we're like, thanks.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Bye.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Kind of spendy for someone like you.
- 50:07Speaker 6: Kind of spendy.
- 50:09Speaker 4: I've been pretty woman before and they were right. I
- 50:12Speaker 4: was like, I cannot afford.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Any of these things.
- 50:13Speaker 3: That doesn't matter. The fact is that you got pretty
- 50:15Speaker 3: womaned and they should not pretty woman you.
- 50:17Speaker 5: I got pretty womaned at Target.
- 50:20Speaker 3: How so?
- 50:20Speaker 5: Can't afford these towels. You're right.
- 50:22Speaker 9: I can't.
- 50:22Speaker 5: I shouldn't even be looking in here. Sarah, thanks for
- 50:25Speaker 5: calling in.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Oh, okay, Sarah.
- 50:29Speaker 3: I was pretty womaned when I was living in Dallas.
- 50:31Speaker 3: I was at a dude boutique. And I grabbed a
- 50:35Speaker 3: shirt off the rack, and the salesperson looked at me,
- 50:37Speaker 3: and he said, it is expensive and way too fast
- 50:41Speaker 3: for you.
- 50:42Speaker 5: The shirt.
- 50:45Speaker 3: He was trying to tell me it was too cool
- 50:46Speaker 3: for me, I think is what he was trying to say.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 50:50Speaker 5: Too fast.
- 50:51Speaker 4: Rich got me this present for Christmas one year, and
- 50:54Speaker 4: it was a backpack or a suitcase. It was a
- 50:57Speaker 4: brand called Tumi, and I didn't like it, so I
- 51:00Speaker 4: went to go return it. When I walked into a place,
- 51:02Speaker 4: they ignored me for the longest time. I was standing there.
- 51:05Speaker 4: They just ignored me. And then I was like, what?
- 51:08Speaker 11: I said, that's so rude.
- 51:09Speaker 5: Oh, it was terrible. It was terrible.
- 51:10Speaker 4: And then I blasted them. Anyway, nothing ever happened.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Didn't they make good?
- 51:16Speaker 9: No?
- 51:16Speaker 4: I ended up getting a different backpack, yeah. But I
- 51:19Speaker 4: can't remember what the backpack he got me. It was
- 51:20Speaker 4: like tiny. It was like a kilo backpack for a child.
- 51:24Speaker 4: I use that backpack all the time now when I travel.
- 51:25Speaker 4: It's a great travel backpack.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Yeah, they are good.
- 51:27Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Get the right size. I didn't know I had to
- 51:29Speaker 3: get a giant one.
- 51:31Speaker 4: We're going to play a minute to win it. We
- 51:33Speaker 4: need a contestant.
- 51:34Speaker 12: 877-937-1047.
- 51:34Speaker 4: $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. What are you watching on TV, Kyle?
- 51:38Speaker 11: I'm catching up.
- 51:39Speaker 13: I'm almost done with Ted Lasso. And I don't know
- 51:43Speaker 13: what your problem has been this season. I've loved the whole.
- 51:45Speaker 5: Season so far. I just think it was mid.
- 51:48Speaker 13: I love watching the love story between Keeley and Roy
- 51:51Speaker 13: sort of like develop and go on this little roller coaster.
- 51:54Speaker 13: And I love seeing like the, the girl coach kind
- 51:58Speaker 13: of grow Alice.
- 51:59Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 52:00Speaker 6: And get to like, get the love and respect of
- 52:02Speaker 6: the team.
- 52:03Speaker 5: Well, I'm not alone.
- 52:04Speaker 4: I mean, it's a huge thing on, on the news
- 52:06Speaker 4: that it's, I'm just.
- 52:07Speaker 6: Saying, I don't know what everyone's saying.
- 52:09Speaker 11: I really like.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Healy is just a little too high maintenance in the
- 52:12Speaker 4: first few episodes where she's got a problem with everything
- 52:14Speaker 4: that's going on. I'm like, man, two seasons ago, you
- 52:18Speaker 4: were just a marketing person. And now you're somehow Rebecca's
- 52:20Speaker 4: right-hand person. You're doing all this stuff and you're complaining.
- 52:23Speaker 4: I just thought it was just too, it was too
- 52:24Speaker 4: much of that with that. But like I said, the
- 52:27Speaker 4: last episode is fantastic. How many episodes are you on?
- 52:29Speaker 6: I'm on the eighth episode. I don't know how many
- 52:31Speaker 6: there are.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I think there's ten.
- 52:33Speaker 6: So I got a couple more to go?
- 52:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:34Speaker 11: Almost there.
- 52:35Speaker 5: No, I think there's eight. No, maybe you're right.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Really?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Because I was looking to see how far back I was.
- 52:39Speaker 3: I think there's ten. Because I think I'm only on seven.
- 52:43Speaker 3: Because they're a lot longer. Yeah, they're all like 50-ish minutes, right?
- 52:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:46Speaker 11: I started Abbott Elementary because of the new season that dropped.
- 52:50Speaker 11: And they mention LeBron on the 76ers like almost immediately.
- 52:54Speaker 3: Oh, that's wild.
- 52:55Speaker 13: I thought of you because they dropped a new season
- 52:57Speaker 13: of All-American.
- 52:58Speaker 22: Oh, really?
- 52:59Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like in the top 10. I was like, oh,
- 53:00Speaker 6: I wonder if Peyton's watching this yet.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 53:02Speaker 11: That's probably what Kadeem had me up all night. I
- 53:04Speaker 11: literally wanted to kill him. I was like, turn the
- 53:06Speaker 11: TV off. He's like, it's new All-American. I didn't know
- 53:08Speaker 11: the new season came out. Oh, my gosh. I should
- 53:10Speaker 11: have been nicer.
- 53:11Speaker 3: You didn't know when he said it's new All-American?
- 53:14Speaker 11: Well, he re-watches all, like, All-American in power are his
- 53:17Speaker 11: comfort shows. I kid you guys not.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Oh, so he could have been re-watching.
- 53:20Speaker 11: He probably re-watched those seasons a hundred times. It's really annoying.
- 53:24Speaker 6: And now there's a new season.
- 53:25Speaker 11: Well, that makes sense. Well, that makes me excited because
- 53:27Speaker 11: I know that they're going to kind of wrap it
- 53:29Speaker 11: up after this one, I believe.
- 53:30Speaker 4: There are 10 seasons of Ted Lasso.
- 53:32Speaker 9: You're right.
- 53:32Speaker 3: 10 episodes?
- 53:33Speaker 5: 10 episodes.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Sorry, not 10 seasons. 10 episodes.
- 53:35Speaker 5: 10 episodes.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Okay, we're going to play Minute 20.
- 53:40Speaker 5: Shelly, good morning.
- 53:42Speaker 12: Good morning.
- 53:43Speaker 5: Where are you right now?
- 53:45Speaker 7: I am driving my son to school, but I'm about
- 53:47Speaker 7: to pull over because I'm.
- 53:48Speaker 11: Going to win.
- 53:49Speaker 5: Minutes win it.
- 53:49Speaker 3: There we go. There we go.
- 53:51Speaker 5: What part of town are you in?
- 53:53Speaker 16: I'm in Gilbert.
- 53:54Speaker 11: I'm the one that texted.
- 53:55Speaker 7: I saw Rich at the Safeway when he was picking
- 53:57Speaker 7: up Stacy's medicines.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Oh, I did that this weekend.
- 54:02Speaker 16: Yes, and I loved your sunglasses.
- 54:04Speaker 3: All right. It wasn't very sunny.
- 54:07Speaker 5: Sunglasses inside the Safeway Barrel.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Not inside, outside.
- 54:12Speaker 11: Outside, outside.
- 54:13Speaker 3: All right, let's play.
- 54:14Speaker 5: Good luck.
- 54:15Speaker 3: All right, here we go.
- 54:16Speaker 13: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 54:19Speaker 13: Peoria Ford right now.
- 54:21Speaker 4: Minute to win it.
- 54:22Speaker 3: All right, Shelly representing the Queen Creek. Here we go.
- 54:25Speaker 3: 60 seconds on the clock. Just get these all right,
- 54:28Speaker 3: and you win $ 1, 000. What pop star has singles like
- 54:33Speaker 3: Party in the USA, Wrecking Ball, and Flowers? What hit
- 54:37Speaker 3: TV series follows the survivors of the Oceanic Flight 815?
- 54:41Speaker 7: Ooh.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Oceanic Flight 815? Oh, my God.
- 54:51Speaker 8: I make fun of people all the time.
- 54:52Speaker 7: That get it wrong after the first question.
- 54:54Speaker 16: I'm going to be that person right now.
- 54:56Speaker 3: It's a big one. The survivors of oceanic flight 815.
- 55:01Speaker 3: It was a really big shot. That's right. What U.S.
- 55:05Speaker 3: state is nicknamed the Garden State?
- 55:07Speaker 9: New Jersey.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Ornithology is the scientific study of what kind of animals?
- 55:16Speaker 22: Oh, uh.
- 55:19Speaker 10: Oh, wordology.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Birds. What 1999 horror movie features the famous line, I
- 55:28Speaker 3: see dead people?
- 55:30Speaker 10: The Sixth Sense.
- 55:31Speaker 3: What grain is used to make traditional Japanese sake?
- 55:35Speaker 9: Rice.
- 55:37Speaker 11: Oh! You got on a roll right there, though.
- 55:41Speaker 9: What?
- 55:41Speaker 16: It wasn't rice?
- 55:42Speaker 8: What is it?
- 55:42Speaker 11: You just ran out of time.
- 55:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:44Speaker 7: Oh, I was out of time.
- 55:45Speaker 12: Dang it.
- 55:45Speaker 11: But you got six right. You got the rice at
- 55:48Speaker 11: the buzzer.
- 55:48Speaker 12: I got six right?
- 55:49Speaker 11: Okay, I'll take it.
- 55:49Speaker 22: I'll take it.
- 55:50Speaker 4: We're going to set you up with a Del Taco
- 55:52Speaker 4: gift card. I was out in New Jersey.
- 55:53Speaker 8: I thought it was Florida.
- 55:54Speaker 11: I thought it was Manifest.
- 55:55Speaker 14: Oh, well, I'm from.
- 55:56Speaker 11: Pennsylvania, so I knew that.
- 55:57Speaker 6: That was an.
- 55:58Speaker 4: Easy one for me. Is Pennsylvania near New Jersey?
- 56:01Speaker 11: Right next to it.
- 56:02Speaker 7: That's where I spent all my summer.
- 56:03Speaker 5: You learn something new every day.
- 56:06Speaker 3: A little map fun on the show.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Dang it.
- 56:10Speaker 5: Hold on, Shelly.
- 56:11Speaker 14: That was fun.
- 56:11Speaker 8: I'm just so glad that I even got through.
- 56:13Speaker 7: I've been trying for forever.
- 56:14Speaker 8: You have no idea.
- 56:15Speaker 12: Oh, good.
- 56:16Speaker 5: Well, you did really well, but you get Del Taco
- 56:18Speaker 5: gift card.
- 56:19Speaker 11: I'll take it.
- 56:20Speaker 5: Thanks, Shelly. That was nice. She was a good contestant.
- 56:26Speaker 3: I know we're going to have a... We've only got
- 56:29Speaker 3: one so far in the entire time. We're ready.
- 56:32Speaker 6: What was the second one? The TV show?
- 56:34Speaker 11: The flight?
- 56:35Speaker 14: Lost.
- 56:36Speaker 3: Lost.
- 56:37Speaker 6: Oh, that's why I didn't know.
- 56:40Speaker 4: I wouldn't go back and watch it if I were you.
- 56:43Speaker 4: So Peyton shared with us about Blueface. That's what she did.
- 56:46Speaker 4: You know, we were in the Pride Parade yesterday and whatnot.
- 56:49Speaker 5: So let me tell you what happened. I don't know
- 56:49Speaker 5: if you guys caught this because Kyle and Peyton.
- 56:52Speaker 4: Both of you guys were in the Kiss van with
- 56:54Speaker 4: me when I was driving it, but I got a
- 56:56Speaker 4: call from my son, Dutch. Did you guys happen to
- 56:58Speaker 4: catch any part of that conversation?
- 56:59Speaker 11: I didn't catch your conversation with Dutch, but I did
- 57:02Speaker 11: catch your conversation with Blake.
- 57:03Speaker 5: Oh, what did I say to her?
- 57:06Speaker 11: I think you said, we have to go to the hospital.
- 57:09Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the one thing I picked up when you were,
- 57:11Speaker 6: do they have to go to the hospital?
- 57:12Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 57:13Speaker 4: That's all I heard. Yeah, so we're in the van
- 57:16Speaker 4: and it's Kyle, Peyton, we have like 75 people in
- 57:19Speaker 4: the Kiss van.
- 57:19Speaker 12: And a dog.
- 57:20Speaker 5: And a dog, yeah, after the pride parade.
- 57:22Speaker 4: And Dutch calls me, my 20-year-old son who goes to
- 57:25Speaker 4: the University of Arizona and he's like, hey dad, I
- 57:29Speaker 4: went out Thursday night to some sorority thing with some girl.
- 57:31Speaker 5: I think he's kind of seen a girl.
- 57:33Speaker 4: And he goes, I gotta be honest with you, I
- 57:35Speaker 4: got really, really wasted and I was throwing up all
- 57:38Speaker 4: day Friday.
- 57:39Speaker 5: And now it's Sunday.
- 57:40Speaker 4: And he's like, I have this horrible pain behind my
- 57:43Speaker 4: ribs and I don't know what to do. You know,
- 57:45Speaker 4: and he's a manager of the U of A basketball team.
- 57:46Speaker 4: And he talked to the doctor there. Doctor said, you
- 57:49Speaker 4: can need to go to emergency room. They can't figure
- 57:51Speaker 4: out what it is. So my wife, we get home,
- 57:53Speaker 4: she takes off and she goes to Tucson to take
- 57:56Speaker 4: him to emergency room. They get there at two and
- 58:00Speaker 4: they do blood tests, urine tests. X-ray CT scans. There's like,
- 58:06Speaker 4: is it a gallbladder? Is it gallstones? Is it appendix?
- 58:09Speaker 4: Is it pancreatitis? There's like all these, is it a
- 58:11Speaker 4: pulled muscles? All these things.
- 58:14Speaker 5: And she's updating me where she's at the hospital.
- 58:16Speaker 9: Right.
- 58:16Speaker 4: And at one point she's like, if they're going to
- 58:18Speaker 4: operate on him, are you coming here? And I'm like,
- 58:21Speaker 4: I kind of got a.
- 58:21Speaker 5: Show to do.
- 58:21Speaker 4: May I come here after the show's over?
- 58:24Speaker 3: At least one of the parents is there.
- 58:26Speaker 4: Then I'm like, man, we should have probably taken Columbus
- 58:28Speaker 4: Day off then so I could have been there. And
- 58:30Speaker 4: I'm kind of like debating, am I going to text
- 58:31Speaker 4: you guys and say I can't come in? So it's
- 58:33Speaker 4: like nine o'clock now and I'm like waiting to hear, like,
- 58:36Speaker 4: do I go to bed? Do I not go to bed?
- 58:37Speaker 4: How am I going to be able to go to
- 58:38Speaker 4: bed knowing my kids are going to have surgery in
- 58:40Speaker 4: the morning or night, right? And I'm texting a buddy
- 58:42Speaker 4: of mine who's a doctor here, Dr.
- 58:43Speaker 11: Lowe.
- 58:43Speaker 4: I'm like, hey, if Dutch has to have appendicitis, appendix surgery,
- 58:46Speaker 4: can you take it out?
- 58:48Speaker 5: Or should he just do it there?
- 58:49Speaker 4: You know, it all depends. I mean, there's all this
- 58:51Speaker 4: stuff going on. And then she calls me at nine.
- 58:53Speaker 4: She's like, hey, he's fine.
- 58:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 58:56Speaker 3: He's fine.
- 58:57Speaker 11: Poisoning. Maybe that would never.
- 58:59Speaker 5: No, it was from vomiting.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Oh, he blew out a rib.
- 59:03Speaker 5: He pulled a muscle from vomiting. He's like, he's totally fine.
- 59:07Speaker 4: Well, that's great news.
- 59:08Speaker 5: That's really good news. It is great because there was
- 59:10Speaker 5: a lot of praying. There was a lot of whatever.
- 59:12Speaker 4: And I'm just so like, the dude needs to chill out.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a lot of vomiting right there. To bust
- 59:17Speaker 3: a rib open.
- 59:18Speaker 4: But it made me think about, because Kyle doesn't drink
- 59:21Speaker 4: because you got alcohol poisoning, right?
- 59:23Speaker 6: I did have alcohol poisoning.
- 59:25Speaker 5: Right?
- 59:25Speaker 13: Yeah, I was like really out of it for a
- 59:27Speaker 13: long time. That was the first time I ever drank though.
- 59:29Speaker 13: But it really did turn me off for the rest
- 59:31Speaker 13: of my life.
- 59:32Speaker 11: Oh, not me.
- 59:33Speaker 6: I know.
- 59:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 59:34Speaker 13: I drank a little bit in college and stuff, but
- 59:36Speaker 13: it's not my favorite thing to do.
- 59:38Speaker 11: Well, same. I had alcohol poisoning the first time I
- 59:40Speaker 11: had gotten drunk before.
- 59:42Speaker 3: But Kyle has stopped because of that.
- 59:44Speaker 11: Yeah, and I relate to that.
- 59:45Speaker 9: Sorry.
- 59:46Speaker 13: Well, do you think that this will be something that
- 59:49Speaker 13: makes him slow down or because he was fine, he
- 59:52Speaker 13: is now confirmed he's invincible?
- 59:54Speaker 3: I honestly don't know. I think he found the line.
- 59:57Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 59:58Speaker 11: I don't know. Like when you're so young, like that,
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: you really do bounce back.
- 1:00:02Speaker 13: Like truthfully, like, but if it were something he had
- 1:00:05Speaker 13: to get surgery for it, I think that would be
- 1:00:07Speaker 13: a big wake up call.
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: Like, Oh man, I got to slow down. Now I
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: got to get surgery. Cause I was drinking, but now
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: he's like, I was fine.
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: As a parent, I'm like, I'm hoping that he was
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: a wake up call. And I'm so grateful. There wasn't surgery.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Like I'm, you know what I mean? I was like,
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: I was like, oh, they're going to take out his appendix.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: My wife's like, well, if they take out his appendix
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: in two weeks, he's fine or something. I'm like, your
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: appendix is there for a reason. It must do something.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Yeah, they always say that you don't need it, but
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: maybe you needed it back. Must do something. They put
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: it in there. They put it in there.
- 1:00:37Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: That's important. They're going to take out his gallbladder.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: He'll be fine.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: Must do something.
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: Why would he be there?
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: I don't know what it does. Keep in mind, I
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: know where Pennsylvania was, so I don't know what the
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: gallbladder does or the appendix does, but I was just.
- 1:00:48Speaker 11: Kind of like.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Next to the garden stick.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: Must do something.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: So anyway, he's fine. I'm like, I'm telling you, I
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: was stressed. I was so stressed. Your brain. And then
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: I did the whole thing where you do to check
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: your PT.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: Oh, dangerous. And it goes into like the, it starts
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: off light and then it gets into the darkness of what.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: It could be.
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Um, so a couple of things ready to get into one,
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: we might get back into, have you ever been pretty woman? Eight, seven, seven, nine, three, seven,
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: one Oh four, seven, because that happened to Kelly Clarkson. Um, Also,
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: Rich went to an interesting, was it a wedding or
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: birthday party?
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: It was a birthday party.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: We're going to get into that. We've got a lot
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: of stuff we're going to get into coming up next
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: Hey, real quick. So Kelly Clarkson in the news because
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: she got Pretty Woman at the store. She was trying
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: to buy a $ 15, 000.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: What, Kyle? A bird?
- 1:01:37Speaker 11: Yeah, it was.
- 1:01:37Speaker 13: Like a singing, talking bird that apparently it's a one-of-a-kind thing.
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: Yeah, and they told her we have some other items
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: you can look at.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: So she said that she looked like she couldn't afford it,
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: and the person didn't recognize her. So anyway, she trashed
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: it on social media. We wanted to just know really quick.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: And by the way, we've got Dave Chappelle tickets. We
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: got tickets to Wicked Ball. We wanted to know who
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: or tell us about the time you got Pretty Womaned.
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: Jennifer, what happened to.
- 1:02:03Speaker 11: You?
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: Hi.
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: So we recently opened a toy store locally in the
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: Valley at Park West in Peoria. And we went to
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: the fall 2027 toy preview in LA a couple weeks ago.
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: And when we walked in, people were just super rude.
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: And they were like, how did you find out about us?
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: Can you even afford to be here and make orders?
- 1:02:27Speaker 11: I was like, what?
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: I swear to goodness.
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: And they were like, this is for the big industry people.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: And I was like, okay, but we have a legit
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: toy store. Like we're not a little kiosk. We have,
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: it's 2,500 square foot. I feel like that's a legit store.
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: And we're in Park West, which is a known shopping
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: center here in at least Phoenix area. So they were like, well,
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: can you meet the MOQs? And I said, well, I
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: don't know. Can you cash my check? And he looks
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: at me.
- 1:03:00Speaker 11: Wow.
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: And the one lady laughed at the table and she
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: was like, I like that you have, you know, big balls.
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: And I was like, she said, I will help you.
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: And one of the companies that literally slammed the door
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: in our face was Schillings. They had papers on the
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: wall that said appointment only and you need to sign
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: an NDA. We did sign a few NDAs for a
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: couple of clients that let us view their stuff. And
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: they were nice and upfront telling us, you know, our
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: MOQs are 10,000 per item, which, you know, you would
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: think toys, it's like a fun industry, but definitely the
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: corporate America world of it is brutal. And so I
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: told them, I said, even if I could afford your MOQ,
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: you couldn't get a dollar from me, but we were lucky.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: And we did sign some license contracts with people to
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: like start that. But yeah. And I, and we went
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: there with money to spend, like we knew it was gonna,
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: we did our research. We knew what it was going
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: to be, but they were just like, your money's not
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: good enough for us.
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: What's your toy store. Tell us your toy store name
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: and everything about it. I love toys.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: It's hype. Oh, it's hype it up toys. Um, we
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: are two moms whose kids played club basketball and now
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: our kids are in college and we're like, Oh my God,
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: what do we do? Our life revolved around this travel team. And,
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: So I was like, I'm a nurse locally. I said, well,
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: what if I just, you know, take some of this
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: money that we now are going to save and use
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: one of my 401ks and we do something that we
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: enjoy and still help kids. So we do family events
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: and birthday parties and we have all the trendy toys.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: We're next to Handel's ice cream.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: Oh, that's good. So there's always a line there.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Hey, do you guys have that new butt face toy?
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: They call it the number one toy this year.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: Butt Face.
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: Yeah, it's called Butt Face.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: We have it on order. It has not delivered yet.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: No, but they're on it.
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: Yeah, and we have, like, the Corgi butt that's, like,
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: with big squidge.
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: Like, all the kids come in. Anything with butt or farts,
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: they all want it.
- 1:05:14Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:15Speaker 21: Crazy.
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: That's great. Okay, and your store is called Hype It Up.
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: Hype It Up Toys.
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: Hype It Up Toys. All right, Jennifer, thanks for calling in.
- 1:05:23Speaker 18: Yeah, not a problem.
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: Have a good day, guys.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: You too.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a couple of messages on Facebook. I watched
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Denny's servers argue over who was going to wait on us.
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: I guess we didn't look like big tippers. The guy
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: who did wait on us, we gave him a $ 100 tip.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: That was teaching. Jeannie says, I was snubbed at a
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: bicycle store. I sent an email to the manager. I
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: got a call back from the salesman and bought a
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: bike somewhere else. There's quite a few posts on here.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: But meanwhile, Lacey sent us this text, and I love
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: the way she said it.
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: Lacey, good morning.
- 1:05:53Speaker 11: Good morning.
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: Good morning.
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: So it was almost like she wanted to play a
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: game with.
- 1:05:56Speaker 9: Us, right? Right.
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: Okay, so tell it the exact same way you said.
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: It on the text.
- 1:06:02Speaker 16: Okay, so I said that I got pulled over one
- 1:06:05Speaker 16: time while I was pumping breast milk for my baby.
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: Did I get a ticket?
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Wait, wait. So you were rolling. You weren't
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: just pulled over. You were rolling down the road pumping
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: breast milk.
- 1:06:18Speaker 9: Right.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: A highway, like a city street?
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: What?
- 1:06:22Speaker 10: It was a city street.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: Did you have that, was it that machine?
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: Yeah, it's the machine.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: So you got the two suction cups on each breast,
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: and it's making that noise, and it's pumping into a
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: thing while you're driving?
- 1:06:34Speaker 14: Right, and I had a jacket that was zipped up,
- 1:06:36Speaker 14: so everything was covered, so you couldn't see anything.
- 1:06:38Speaker 13: Oh, okay, because I'm like, that's hard to take off
- 1:06:41Speaker 13: in a hurry.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: So then it sounds to me like you didn't get
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: pulled over because you were breastfeeding. You were probably doing
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: something else and also breastfeeding, like speeding and breastfeeding.
- 1:06:51Speaker 22: Speeding, yeah.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: You're speeding. Okay, so let's guess.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: So you want to know, we're going to guess if
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: you got a ticket or didn't get a ticket. I'm
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: going to say the cop is going to be like,
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: this is so fascinating.
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: You're free to go.
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: That's my guess.
- 1:07:06Speaker 11: I'm going to say he had a bad day at work.
- 1:07:09Speaker 11: He was like not in the mood, maybe lack of
- 1:07:11Speaker 11: sleep from his own baby. So he gave her the ticket.
- 1:07:14Speaker 13: I'm going to say maybe he didn't realize what was
- 1:07:16Speaker 13: going on underneath the jacket and said, I'm still going
- 1:07:19Speaker 13: to have to give you the ticket.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, I think no ticket, because he could be like, oh, God, oh, God,
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: I don't want nothing to do with that. Probably freaked
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: him out.
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: All right, so what happened?
- 1:07:27Speaker 16: Yeah, Rich was pretty much nailing the head.
- 1:07:29Speaker 14: He asked me, like, three times what.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: I was doing, and I had to tell him.
- 1:07:32Speaker 14: And finally, he was like, oh, gosh.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: In 25 years, I've never heard that one.
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: He said, just get out of here.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Get out of here.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Go feed that baby.
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: Stop trying to feed your young.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: How would you like Lacey's up to? You want tickets
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: to Wicked Ball, or you want to go see Dave Chappelle?
- 1:07:51Speaker 9: Oh my gosh.
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: Dave Chappelle for sure.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: Okay. Hold on a line. We're going to set you
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: up with that.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Hold on. Hold on.
- 1:07:55Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: Hold on. Let's get to this party. You went to rich.
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: Oh yeah.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: So Stacy, my wife, her brother married a lady. Her
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: name's Christine, who is from Kenya and her family was
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: all visiting. And it happened to be her dad's 75th
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: birthday or 77th birthday, maybe 77, I think. So they
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: were all at the house. And it was me and
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: Stacey and a bunch of people from Kenya. And I
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: had the best time eating Kenyan food. And like they
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: got the best birthday song, our birthday song in America sucks.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: The Kenya birthday song. It is like a whole dance.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: It's like a whole thing.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 1:08:34Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:08:35Speaker 11: You got some good food. Did you get the itis
- 1:08:36Speaker 11: when you went home?
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Well, I loved. What's the itis? What do you mean?
- 1:08:41Speaker 11: Well, the itis is when like. You know, when you
- 1:08:43Speaker 11: like go to Thanksgiving, you eat so much. You have
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: to take a nap and you're.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Just like, oh, I wasn't actually even hungry, but they
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: made me a plate. So I figured, well, I'm just
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: going to try it and stay there like, oh, my God,
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: this is unbelievable. So we would we went back and
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: we went back. We went back. But I'm standing around
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: talking to a couple of people. from Kenya. And I'm like,
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: so I figure if I go to Kenya, I'm going
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: to have some good Kenyan food. But you guys are
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: all here. Why not just for, you know, the party
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: have like cheeseburgers or like Ted hot dogs or something
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: like that. And they're like, no, no, we've had like
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: we've had cheeseburgers and they're fine. But the traditional thing
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: is to have Kenyan food. It was like some beautiful stew.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: It almost tasted like it had Indian spices in it
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: for some reason.
- 1:09:27Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: What's the Indian spice I'm thinking of?
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: Curry.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Curry.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it had that in it.
- 1:09:31Speaker 11: I'm like they had a lot of seasoning in there.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: It was so good. If you open up a Kenyan
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: restaurant around here, I will be first in line. I
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: thought it was sensational. And then they're just like such.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: They're so cool. They're so nice. And, like, the fathers, like,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: told me he walked 26 miles yesterday.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: Jesus.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: 76 years old.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: Marathon runners. That's what they're famous for.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: He just said he looked at me and states, he's like,
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: you Americans stress out too much. Keep your life simple
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: and you will live a long time. I guess his mom's, like,
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: 106 or something like that.
- 1:10:01Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:10:01Speaker 11: What a long life to live.
- 1:10:03Speaker 9: Yeah, so.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: Anyway. Speaking of Kenya, I don't know much about Kenya.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: I didn't either, but I loved it.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: I would assume that that's where there's like lions and
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: tigers and stuff.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: They do have that.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: Did you see that guy that jumped into that lion
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: or the tiger enclosure?
- 1:10:14Speaker 11: I did.
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: You did? Did you watch the whole Uncensored video?
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: I couldn't watch that.
- 1:10:18Speaker 11: No.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: I didn't.
- 1:10:18Speaker 9: No.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: What happened?
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: This jerk face jumps into the zoo at a zoo
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: where there's a tiger. and tries to be cute with
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: the tiger and tiger frigging takes him out.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Of course.
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: Why would he do that?
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: What the zoo said in response, because people were super upset. They,
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: they put out like a statement saying, we're really sorry for,
- 1:10:36Speaker 11: you know, the family of the last one and blah, blah, blah.
- 1:10:38Speaker 11: But we are not euthanizing the tiger. No way.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: People are mad that they're not euthanizing.
- 1:10:42Speaker 11: They are happy that they're, that they are.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Well, they should. The tiger's doing what a tiger does.
- 1:10:46Speaker 11: And people were like, because I mean, that's what they
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: did with Harambee, right? When that guy, when that, little
- 1:10:51Speaker 11: kid fell in, they killed Harambe.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: Harambe.
- 1:10:54Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:10:54Speaker 11: That was a big deal. They have all of these
- 1:10:57Speaker 11: things where it's like, oh, well, they killed a person,
- 1:10:59Speaker 11: but it's in their... What is their natural habitat for...
- 1:11:02Speaker 11: I mean, obviously, they're in zoos, but... Yeah, just super sad,
- 1:11:05Speaker 11: but they are not going to euthanize the tiger.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: I wonder what that dude was thinking, just trying to
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: get a selfie?
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: He wasn't.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: He was sitting there, like, the video, he's pointing at
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: it like you're talking to a dog going, no, no. Like,
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: I'm assuming he was going in this tiger cage to
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: be funny with his friends.
- 1:11:20Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: To try to be whatever, and the tiger was like, okay. So,
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: kind of played with him for a little bit, then
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: took him out. I couldn't find it on Instagram, but on,
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: for some reason, I don't understand how the social media works,
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: but Twitter?
- 1:11:30Speaker 9: Twitter?
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: It's just a free-for-all. They post everything.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: We talked about it last week with the algorithms, man.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: My algorithm, it is insane with that. You click on one,
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: I watched one tiger mauling, right? Now I get tons
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: of animal mauling.
- 1:11:44Speaker 9: Oh, really?
- 1:11:45Speaker 11: Oh, can we please bring back Untamed and Uncut on
- 1:11:47Speaker 11: Discovery Channel, please? Oh my gosh, it was such a
- 1:11:49Speaker 11: good show.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: Fantastic.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: I bet you whatever was on Discovery Channel wasn't as
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: graphic as it is on X.
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: Oh, I feel like it was. Well, yeah, they would
- 1:11:58Speaker 11: put the blurred out stuff.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: But they show animals attacking animals. I don't think they
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: show them attacking humans.
- 1:12:03Speaker 11: No, Untamed and Uncut, there was an episode. I remember
- 1:12:07Speaker 11: vividly as a kid watching it and a polar bear
- 1:12:09Speaker 11: mauled this lady because she tried to jump over the gate.
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: I know. Hey, by the way, a couple of cool
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: things happening on Saturday. On Saturday, there's two very cool
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: things happening. Saturday morning at 8 a.m. is like our
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: 10th annual Cars and Canines.
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: It might not be 10.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: It might be 9th or 8th or 9th. And that's
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: at D-Pet Hotel in North Scottsdale. And that's where we're
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: going to have cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, like
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: the most exotic, most beautiful cars you've ever seen. And
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: you can walk around and take a look at them
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: and sit in and take pictures and look whatever. And
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: then there's dog rescues like Love Pup will be there
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: and other dog rescues set up. with a huge adoption thing.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: There's food trucks. There's a beautiful event. And it's this
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: Saturday morning at eight. Then after that, it's like the
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: biggest family Halloween Dia de los Muertos celebration in the Valley.
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: It's after that. It's at Sanderson Ford in Glendale. It
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: starts at five. It's trunk or treat. I remember my
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: kids and I, we used to go to, and my wife,
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: we'd go to trunk or treat all the time. So
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: bring the whole family in costume. Priscilla's going to be there.
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: Kiss Crew's going to be there. trunk or treating candy
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: candy candy face painting bounce houses music culture treats and
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: more so saturday's a full we got you covered saturday
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: if you're new to town you want to know what
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: to do go to cars and canines saturday morning and
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: then go to sanderson ford at five and trunk or
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: treat oh jessica what's your algorithm situation.
- 1:13:35Speaker 22: Hi john j so i was listening to you guys
- 1:13:38Speaker 22: and Talking about algorithm, and I one time liked a
- 1:13:41Speaker 22: hot dog post on Instagram. And then ever since then,
- 1:13:45Speaker 22: I just started getting hot dog posts, hot dog. And
- 1:13:48Speaker 22: so I just embraced it. And every single hot dog
- 1:13:51Speaker 22: post or reel or meme or anything that comes across,
- 1:13:55Speaker 22: I just repost it, like it.
- 1:13:56Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:13:57Speaker 22: My whole algorithm is consistently filled with hot dogs. Now
- 1:14:03Speaker 22: all my friends send me hot dog stuff.
- 1:14:06Speaker 8: And maybe next year I'm going to have.
- 1:14:08Speaker 22: A hot dog themed birthday party.
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: All because of one stupid click.
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: That's so funny. That's so relatable, Jessica. I'm so glad
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: you called. Thanks for listening.
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: You wouldn't think there was that much hot dog content
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: out there. What's coming up in the entertainment world, Kyle?
- 1:14:23Speaker 13: Ella Langley had to make a pretty terrifying decision involving
- 1:14:26Speaker 13: like 15,000 people.
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: You'll hear what she did next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: What's going on in the entertainment world.
- 1:14:40Speaker 13: I imagine this being really terrifying but ella langley she
- 1:14:44Speaker 13: canceled her tulsa concert after a bomb threat even though
- 1:14:47Speaker 13: police never found anything suspicious she was like on stage
- 1:14:51Speaker 13: the next night explaining look i was faced with a
- 1:14:54Speaker 13: decision that was going to affect 15 000 people i.
- 1:14:58Speaker 23: Decided to make the decision that i could live with
- 1:15:01Speaker 23: the rest of.
- 1:15:01Speaker 11: My life And so that's what I did.
- 1:15:03Speaker 19: Because when it comes to keeping you safe and making
- 1:15:06Speaker 19: sure that this show is a safe place for us
- 1:15:08Speaker 19: to come.
- 1:15:09Speaker 11: And enjoy our music, that it will happen. But the
- 1:15:12Speaker 11: second it feels like it's not, I'm not doing it.
- 1:15:14Speaker 11: I'm not doing it.
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: She's not doing it.
- 1:15:16Speaker 13: She's not going to risk the safety of the people
- 1:15:18Speaker 13: that are paying to see her. So she said out
- 1:15:21Speaker 13: of an abundance of caution, she canceled the concert and.
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: She would do it again. The Kardashians, you guys, they're
- 1:15:26Speaker 6: getting dragged right now.
- 1:15:27Speaker 13: I don't know if you guys have seen the latest
- 1:15:29Speaker 13: opening for their new season of the Kardashians.
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: They use AI.
- 1:15:32Speaker 13: Basically, it's literally the whole family, an AI version of them.
- 1:15:37Speaker 13: And it's a little creepy because they're very realistic, like
- 1:15:40Speaker 13: super deep fake. And Chloe's like, a lot of people
- 1:15:43Speaker 13: are mad that we used AI, but they didn't necessarily
- 1:15:46Speaker 13: watch the whole thing.
- 1:15:48Speaker 6: And you have to hear the ending. They made AI
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: versions of all of us? I mean, me, I understand.
- 1:15:55Speaker 20: We think you guys are great, but AI is much easier.
- 1:15:58Speaker 20: We don't have scheduling conflicts, no glam is necessary, and
- 1:16:02Speaker 20: we can cry on cue without messing up our makeup.
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: I don't know who you think you're talking to, but this.
- 1:16:08Speaker 20: Real family, real family cannot be replaced.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: We don't need AI when we have this reality. Yeah,
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: I think it's time for these AI to go.
- 1:16:20Speaker 13: So people are like getting mad that they used AI,
- 1:16:22Speaker 13: but the whole point of it is to say they
- 1:16:24Speaker 13: don't need AI.
- 1:16:24Speaker 11: They don't want AI.
- 1:16:25Speaker 6: They want AI to go.
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:16:27Speaker 11: They're trolling themselves, right? Because it's like they've all had,
- 1:16:30Speaker 11: we all know that they have had a couple edit
- 1:16:33Speaker 11: mishaps and Photoshop mishaps. So, I mean, that's why I
- 1:16:36Speaker 11: love the Kardashians because they, they are in on the joke.
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: It's great. It's great.
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: So don't get mad.
- 1:16:42Speaker 13: They're not, the show isn't going AI. They were basically
- 1:16:45Speaker 13: saying we're not, we're not going to do that. Sydney Sweeney,
- 1:16:48Speaker 13: she has another head-turning ad for that bedding site that
- 1:16:52Speaker 13: she has done commercials for before. This time, it opens
- 1:16:56Speaker 13: up on her booty in, like, men's tighty-whities, and she's
- 1:17:00Speaker 13: walking away. And she is also topless, and she's kind
- 1:17:03Speaker 13: of poking fun at how obsessed people are with what
- 1:17:05Speaker 13: she's wearing. There are grown men making spreadsheets to bet
- 1:17:09Speaker 13: on what color underwear I'm wearing.
- 1:17:11Speaker 11: I mean... I'm flattered. There's someone sitting in a bathroom
- 1:17:15Speaker 11: stall betting their 401k on a war. And then there
- 1:17:19Speaker 11: are people who just trade on sports. Novig is just sports.
- 1:17:23Speaker 13: Novig is genius for getting Sidney Sweeney to close off
- 1:17:27Speaker 13: for their ad.
- 1:17:28Speaker 11: I wonder how much that costs.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: It's got to be a ton because she's basically. Gave
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: him everything.
- 1:17:35Speaker 11: He's a superstar.
- 1:17:36Speaker 15: Literally.
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: I'm watching it right now.
- 1:17:38Speaker 9: What a great ad.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:17:39Speaker 11: Tobey Maguire, he took co-parenting goals to, like, an entirely
- 1:17:43Speaker 11: new level over the weekend. He officiated his ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer's,
- 1:17:47Speaker 11: wedding to music executive Josh Ogunlesi in Hawaii. So they
- 1:17:52Speaker 11: share two kids together, Tobey and Jennifer do. So the
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: fact that he was, like, up there officiating and that
- 1:17:57Speaker 11: they could all be there together in front of, like—
- 1:17:59Speaker 11: Leonardo DiCaprio Jeff Bezos was there so was Courtney Cox
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: but like what was kind of weird about the timing
- 1:18:05Speaker 11: of this if you saw just a couple weeks ago
- 1:18:07Speaker 11: Tobey Maguire and Jennifer's like divorce was just finalized so
- 1:18:12Speaker 11: now she's got every but they must've been separated for
- 1:18:15Speaker 11: like over a decade. But like, to me, I'm like,
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: that's kind of telling. They're like, it wasn't that pressing.
- 1:18:20Speaker 11: Like I have to divorce this man right this very second.
- 1:18:22Speaker 13: And the fact that they're like that much of buddies
- 1:18:24Speaker 13: that like everyone was okay with it, even the new husband.
- 1:18:28Speaker 11: Officiated your wedding.
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: That is crazy.
- 1:18:30Speaker 11: I know.
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: I love when people do that.
- 1:18:32Speaker 13: It's like such a good example that like you can
- 1:18:35Speaker 13: take the high road. You can find like a common
- 1:18:37Speaker 13: ground and get along.
- 1:18:38Speaker 11: Totally.
- 1:18:39Speaker 13: Shane Gillis hosted Saturday Night Live for the third time
- 1:18:41Speaker 13: this weekend, accidentally dropped an F-bomb on live TV. It
- 1:18:45Speaker 13: happened during a Dr. Seuss-inspired sketch. And you could tell, like,
- 1:18:50Speaker 13: you're going to hear it, but when you see it,
- 1:18:52Speaker 13: his face, like, immediately, he was like, oh, my gosh, whoops.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: What the hell is wrong with you?
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: My dad said he doesn't like green eggs and ham.
- 1:19:00Speaker 9: Drop it. Walk away.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: But he may like green eggs and ham.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: Bro, it's a non-starter.
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: He said he doesn't f * * * ing cheese
- 1:19:07Speaker 5: like them.
- 1:19:08Speaker 17: Oh, f * * *.
- 1:19:12Speaker 13: Mikey Day, he worked it into the sketch, and then
- 1:19:14Speaker 13: Shane did apologize at the end.
- 1:19:16Speaker 11: Of the show.
- 1:19:16Speaker 13: Because, yeah, you still can't do that, even.
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: If it's... Even late at night. Well, I watched it.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: They already cleaned it up.
- 1:19:24Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:19:24Speaker 11: Whoopsies.
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: This is really cool.
- 1:19:27Speaker 13: The new Grand Theft Auto is coming out November 19th,
- 1:19:30Speaker 13: and it is going to have the craziest lineup of
- 1:19:33Speaker 13: DJs within the game. Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Robin,
- 1:19:37Speaker 13: and even members of Slayer. are getting their own spots
- 1:19:40Speaker 13: on the radio stations inside the game. So while you're
- 1:19:42Speaker 13: driving around causing chaos, you can flip between Latin music, pop, country,
- 1:19:46Speaker 13: heavy metal, whatever you're feeling at the time. I think
- 1:19:50Speaker 13: this is also a genius idea from Grand Theft Auto.
- 1:19:53Speaker 13: Lance Bass, this is something we kind of learned during
- 1:19:56Speaker 13: that documentary, that NSYNC documentary, remember?
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: Like where we were like, oh, wow, like they did
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: not make a whole lot of money.
- 1:20:03Speaker 13: Being on NSYNC and that was like kind of surprising
- 1:20:05Speaker 13: to everybody because you see the success that NSYNC had
- 1:20:08Speaker 13: and you would think they were making millions but he
- 1:20:11Speaker 13: was on a podcast and they brought it up again
- 1:20:12Speaker 13: and yeah he confirmed it was it was a lot
- 1:20:14Speaker 13: less than what you could imagine the whole.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Crazy thing is like you guys get paid for.
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: None of this yeah we had a per diem $ 35
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: a day I mean.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: You really only ended up making like between five and
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: ten thousand dollars from this thing yeah it was uh
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: Our first check was a $ 10, 000 check after years of
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: number one albums, sellout tours. I don't know how many
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: millions they made off our merchandise.
- 1:20:35Speaker 11: Wow.
- 1:20:35Speaker 13: $ 35 a day and one $ 10, 000 check after years of
- 1:20:39Speaker 13: them touring.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: Well, you're talking about DJs on Grand Theft Auto. John
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: Summit was in Sedona chilling out. DMing him like a
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: hundred times, couldn't come in. You're in Sedona, just cruise over.
- 1:20:50Speaker 5: Come on, man. Just so cool. Just like a normal guy.
- 1:20:54Speaker 9: Krista.
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: You got an algorithm issue?
- 1:20:58Speaker 15: Yeah, I started getting songs to kill my husband. When
- 1:21:03Speaker 15: I first started my Spotify years ago, I think I
- 1:21:07Speaker 15: added like Dixie Chicks, Earl, Miranda Lambert, you know, Gunpowder
- 1:21:11Speaker 15: and Lead.
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: Great one.
- 1:21:12Speaker 7: And I listened to like Frank Sinatra, you know, Post Malone,
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: but I didn't get a chance to.
- 1:21:16Speaker 15: Put everything in. And I'm not on any kind of
- 1:21:19Speaker 15: social media. So I think it just picked up those two.
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: And I just started listening.
- 1:21:23Speaker 15: I noticed I was getting all kinds of songs about
- 1:21:25Speaker 15: killing your man.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Did you get the Taylor Swift and Haim one?
- 1:21:31Speaker 14: Oh, I'm sure all of them.
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: You know what I mean?
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: I'd be listening and go, what the? Oh, my God.
- 1:21:36Speaker 15: So I had to get in there and put my
- 1:21:38Speaker 15: other stuff in there. people didn't think that I was
- 1:21:41Speaker 15: killing people.
- 1:21:42Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: If your husband did end up dead, your playlist would
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: definitely be on Exhibit A. Yeah.
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: Absolutely.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:48Speaker 9: 100. Yeah.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: Love you guys.
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: Happy Monday.
- 1:21:51Speaker 18: Thank you for making me smile.
- 1:21:52Speaker 15: Before I go into the service.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: Thank you very much. We have free Charlie XCX tickets
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: up for grabs. All you got to do is play
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: Peyton's Pop Culture Trivia Game.
- 1:22:00Speaker 9: 877-937-1047.
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: We'll do it after Bruno Mars. Oh, I just might.
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: All right, we're going to play a game.
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: Jessica is our contestant.
- 1:22:12Speaker 5: Hello, Jessica.
- 1:22:13Speaker 7: Hey, good morning. How are you?
- 1:22:17Speaker 21: Good.
- 1:22:17Speaker 12: How are you? Great.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: All right, we're playing.
- 1:22:21Speaker 5: What are we playing, Peyton, for Charlie XM?
- 1:22:23Speaker 11: Yes, this is a pop culture trivia game. So I'm
- 1:22:25Speaker 11: just going to go around the room and ask you
- 1:22:27Speaker 11: some questions about some things pop culture, and you've got
- 1:22:29Speaker 11: to give me the right answer. It's pretty simple. So,
- 1:22:31Speaker 11: John Jay, we're going to start with you. Your question is,
- 1:22:35Speaker 11: this actress, she starred in The Substance, and she was
- 1:22:38Speaker 11: famously married to both Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher.
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: Who is she? I wouldn't have got it if it
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: wasn't for who she was married to, but Demi Moore.
- 1:22:47Speaker 11: Yes, good job, Don J.
- 1:22:49Speaker 9: Why?
- 1:22:49Speaker 11: Have you never seen The Substance?
- 1:22:50Speaker 5: I have not.
- 1:22:51Speaker 11: It is such a good movie. It's her and what's
- 1:22:53Speaker 11: her name? Why am I having a brain fart? Anyway,
- 1:22:56Speaker 11: it's a really good movie and it's kind of scary.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: It's the girl from that thing.
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: It's the girl.
- 1:23:00Speaker 11: No, she's like Margaret Qualley. Thank you.
- 1:23:02Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:23:02Speaker 11: I saw her face, but I couldn't see her. I'm
- 1:23:04Speaker 11: like her. Okay. Rich, good job, John. You got one point.
- 1:23:07Speaker 11: This 2024 movie starring Glenn Powell and Daisy Edgar Jones
- 1:23:11Speaker 11: is a sequel to a 1996 disaster film. What is
- 1:23:15Speaker 11: the movie called?
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: Glenn Powell in a disaster movie. Oh, Twisters.
- 1:23:21Speaker 11: Good job, Rich. Way to work it out. Kyle, this
- 1:23:25Speaker 11: R & B artist played the character of Gloria in
- 1:23:27Speaker 11: the 2025 movie of One of Them Days alongside Keke Palmer. Hint,
- 1:23:31Speaker 11: she is my favorite.
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: SZA.
- 1:23:34Speaker 11: Good job, Kat.
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: Thanks for the hint.
- 1:23:36Speaker 11: You're welcome. I knew you might struggle with it.
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: She is my favorite.
- 1:23:39Speaker 11: I had to lob it to you. Okay, Jessica, do
- 1:23:43Speaker 11: you get a vibe of the game?
- 1:23:44Speaker 12: Yes.
- 1:23:46Speaker 11: Okay, here's your question. Before becoming a Grammy-winning singer, this
- 1:23:51Speaker 11: artist played Kat Valentine on Nickelodeon.
- 1:23:53Speaker 16: Hold on, I got it in my head.
- 1:24:00Speaker 18: Ariana Grande?
- 1:24:01Speaker 12: Yes!
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: You've got it in your laptop.
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: You're not playing Minute to Win It, but go ahead.
- 1:24:08Speaker 19: I love it.
- 1:24:09Speaker 11: Let her click-clack away if she wants to.
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:24:14Speaker 11: Get some loud fingers. John Jay. In the 2020-2024, the
- 1:24:18Speaker 11: 2024 movie Challengers, Zendaya's character is a former athlete in
- 1:24:23Speaker 11: what sport?
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: I think it's tennis.
- 1:24:25Speaker 11: Yes, and I think you thought right. I think you
- 1:24:27Speaker 11: thought right. Good job.
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: Rich.
- 1:24:29Speaker 11: Rich. What is the name of the AI chatbot that
- 1:24:32Speaker 11: Elon Musk's company launched to compete with ChatGBT?
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: Grok.
- 1:24:38Speaker 11: Good job. Two points. Kyle, in The Bear, what city
- 1:24:43Speaker 11: is the restaurant located?
- 1:24:44Speaker 6: I haven't seen an episode of The Bear.
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: You're missing out.
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: Chicago.
- 1:24:50Speaker 11: Chicago is correct. It is? Okay.
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:24:53Speaker 11: Great job, Kyle. All tied up. Jessica, here is your
- 1:24:56Speaker 11: chance to tie it with the three of them. In
- 1:24:58Speaker 11: this 2025 horror movie starring Michael B. Jordan, it features
- 1:25:02Speaker 11: him playing two twin brothers, Smoke and Stack. What is
- 1:25:05Speaker 11: the name of the movie?
- 1:25:09Speaker 17: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:25:09Speaker 7: I know it, but I can't think of the name
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: of the movie.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness.
- 1:25:15Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:25:16Speaker 11: It won't come to me.
- 1:25:19Speaker 12: I'm not sure.
- 1:25:20Speaker 11: I don't know. It's called Sinners. Really good. You guys
- 1:25:22Speaker 11: should all watch it. But that's all right, Jessica. You
- 1:25:24Speaker 11: do have a chance to redeem yourself into round three.
- 1:25:27Speaker 11: John Jay, it gets a little bit trickier here. So
- 1:25:30Speaker 11: you really got to lock in. What is the name
- 1:25:32Speaker 11: of the author who wrote the book Verity that is
- 1:25:35Speaker 11: now in theaters starring Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson?
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: Is it Colleen Hoover?
- 1:25:40Speaker 11: Yes, Colleen Hoover would be correct. I'm impressed. Yeah, I'm
- 1:25:44Speaker 11: shocked you got that one. Rich, Charli XCX album Brat
- 1:25:49Speaker 11: inspired one of the biggest trends of 2024. What color
- 1:25:53Speaker 11: became synonymous with Brat Summer?
- 1:25:55Speaker 9: Green.
- 1:25:56Speaker 11: Eh, more specific.
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: Greeny, bluey?
- 1:26:00Speaker 11: Lime green, but I'll give you half a point.
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: What?
- 1:26:02Speaker 11: Because green and lime green are very different.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: Are you kidding me?
- 1:26:05Speaker 11: No, my game, my rules. I don't know what I
- 1:26:07Speaker 11: put down.
- 1:26:08Speaker 19: Wow.
- 1:26:08Speaker 11: I'm just kidding. Very strict. Good job, Bill Rich. Okay, Kyle.
- 1:26:13Speaker 11: Which beauty retailer acquired Hailey Bieber's skincare brand, Rode, just
- 1:26:17Speaker 11: last year for a deal worth up to $ 1 billion?
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: Oh, I don't remember this one.
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: Ulta.
- 1:26:28Speaker 11: Incorrect. I was looking for Elf.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Oh, that's right.
- 1:26:31Speaker 11: Elf Beauty Bot Road. Okay, but here is your chance
- 1:26:35Speaker 11: right here, Jessica, for these Charli XCX tickets, okay?
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 1:26:38Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:26:39Speaker 11: Seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton is dating which Kardashian?
- 1:26:45Speaker 24: Khloe?
- 1:26:50Speaker 11: Oh, no. Give her another chance. Try another one.
- 1:26:52Speaker 9: It's Kim, huh?
- 1:26:53Speaker 18: Yes, it's Kim.
- 1:26:54Speaker 17: It's Kim.
- 1:26:56Speaker 12: Kim is right.
- 1:26:57Speaker 11: Yes, Kim is the one that is dating the race
- 1:26:59Speaker 11: car driver. So good job. John Jay actually is the
- 1:27:02Speaker 11: one who ended up winning this game. I'm shocked. But,
- 1:27:04Speaker 11: you know, you're a winner with us, Jessica. Hi, Jessica.
- 1:27:06Speaker 11: So you win in my book.
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: We'll set you up with Charlie XS tickets. Hold on, okay?
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 1:27:10Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: You got it.
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: May, your algorithm's all messed up?
- 1:27:17Speaker 12: Oh, hey.
- 1:27:17Speaker 18: How's it going?
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: Hey, good. How are you?
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:27:22Speaker 11: Good.
- 1:27:23Speaker 18: So I heard you guys talking about algorithms.
- 1:27:24Speaker 9: Yeah. And.
- 1:27:26Speaker 18: So my husband, I think it's a fun way to
- 1:27:29Speaker 18: mess with him. So I'll be scrolling through and sending
- 1:27:32Speaker 18: him reels. And someone was talking about hot dogs. So
- 1:27:36Speaker 18: it made me think about it because I came across
- 1:27:39Speaker 18: a weird like hot dog singing video and I sent
- 1:27:43Speaker 18: it to my husband and then I got a couple
- 1:27:45Speaker 18: more and I sent them to him. And then his reel,
- 1:27:48Speaker 18: his reels got all messed up. His algorithm got all
- 1:27:50Speaker 18: messed up and he got a bunch of, weird AI
- 1:27:54Speaker 18: ant food dancing videos.
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 1:27:57Speaker 11: My favorite, have you guys seen like the dogs that
- 1:28:00Speaker 11: are standing up and talking like humans?
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: That's my wife's favorite thing of all time.
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: She sits there, my kids make fun of her because
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: she sits there and laughs out loud at these videos.
- 1:28:10Speaker 11: I'm going to send Blake all of the videos that
- 1:28:12Speaker 11: I see because I like cry sometimes.
- 1:28:14Speaker 5: That's her.
- 1:28:14Speaker 14: It's funny when dogs stand like that.
- 1:28:18Speaker 11: They're like rapping and they're all singing.
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: It's hilarious. Thanks for calling in, Mae. Yeah.
- 1:28:22Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:28:23Speaker 9: Thanks.
- 1:28:23Speaker 11: Bye.
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: You know what tricks me all the time with that algorithm? Like,
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: let's just say, for example, I click on a Ted
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: Lasso Instagram post, right? Or something about Ted Lasso. And
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: then I watch it and I scroll. There's another Ted
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: Lasso thing. And I'm like, oh, man, I am on
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: to something. It's topical. This ted lasso stuff in reality
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: it's the next post changed because of i clicked on
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: the ted lasso for sure you know like you click
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: on anything that's someone sends you and then you scroll
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: and it's like there's more of that and for a
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: second in my brain i'm like this must be what's
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: really happening right now. Right. But it's not because I
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: was stupid, but I'm interested in it for a second.
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: I don't need every single video after that to be
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: the same thing. You know what I mean?
- 1:29:04Speaker 11: But you can change your algorithm on Instagram now. How?
- 1:29:07Speaker 11: You reset it. So you open up your Instagram, you
- 1:29:09Speaker 11: go to your profile, you know, those like top little three.
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: Lines in the upper right-hand corner.
- 1:29:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:29:14Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:29:14Speaker 11: You scroll to that, you go to content preferences, and
- 1:29:17Speaker 11: then you tap reset suggested content.
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: Oh, I'm going to do that.
- 1:29:20Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:29:21Speaker 11: And it like lets you add in things that you
- 1:29:22Speaker 11: like and things that you don't like.
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: That's good.
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: That's perfect.
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: It's just a little bit of work, though.
- 1:29:27Speaker 11: I don't want to. Yeah, it is a lot of work.
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: We need dog standing videos. Take a break for a minute.
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: Kyle, what's coming up and what we need to know?
- 1:29:34Speaker 13: Turns out milk has more government safety regulations than something
- 1:29:37Speaker 13: you probably use every single day. Wait till you hear
- 1:29:41Speaker 13: what it is. I'll tell you what you need to
- 1:29:42Speaker 13: know next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich.
- 1:29:45Speaker 20: Call the show at 877-937-1047.
- 1:29:47Speaker 13: Warner and Rowe is the way to go.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: Kyle and Fugg, what do we.
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: Need to know today?
- 1:29:53Speaker 13: So we have got three major tropical storms making headlines
- 1:29:57Speaker 13: right now. One of them is actually responsible for the
- 1:29:58Speaker 13: rain we got this weekend. Hurricane Isaiah left four people
- 1:30:02Speaker 13: dead after hitting Florida and Alabama. It has weakened, but
- 1:30:06Speaker 13: the damage is extensive. Hurricane Simon is threatening Mexico's Pacific
- 1:30:10Speaker 13: Coast with dangerous winds and flooding. And then there's Rachel,
- 1:30:14Speaker 13: which has weakened, but of course still bringing some rain
- 1:30:16Speaker 13: and flash flooding concerns to the valley and other parts
- 1:30:18Speaker 13: of Arizona.
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: So, yeah.
- 1:30:20Speaker 13: Definitely a lot of weather happening kind of all around us.
- 1:30:23Speaker 13: And I'm not really sure how this is possible. But apparently,
- 1:30:27Speaker 13: the milk in your refrigerator has more government safety regulations
- 1:30:31Speaker 13: than artificial intelligence. That's what Microsoft's president is saying. His
- 1:30:35Speaker 13: name is Brad Smith. And he's like, listen, AI companies
- 1:30:38Speaker 13: should have to report serious problems, data breaches, security issues.
- 1:30:44Speaker 13: even have emergency kill switches if things go wrong.
- 1:30:47Speaker 6: But right now, that's not the case.
- 1:30:49Speaker 13: If things go wrong, they can sweep it under the
- 1:30:51Speaker 13: rug and we'll never know. And the fact that this
- 1:30:54Speaker 13: is literally the head of Microsoft saying this is pretty
- 1:30:58Speaker 13: wild to me.
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: Well, the thing is, too, the milk business has been
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: around for 200 years. The AI thing is just new.
- 1:31:04Speaker 11: It's still so new.
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: I'm sure there was a lot of stuff going on
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: behind the scenes when the milk business first started.
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: Big milk.
- 1:31:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:31:12Speaker 13: And then I think about like it's not like it's
- 1:31:14Speaker 13: not like these people are saying, hey, let's keep this
- 1:31:17Speaker 13: on the download.
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: They're being like, can somebody please regulate this? This is
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: my company, but I need something.
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: How come it's the people that are developing it are saying, hey,
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: we're a lot of control.
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: That's the scary part.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: There are some people.
- 1:31:29Speaker 11: Too that are like that because isn't like the security breach, right?
- 1:31:32Speaker 11: Like some people are like. Typing in, like, how to, like,
- 1:31:36Speaker 11: kill my husband and getting away with murder. Like, they
- 1:31:39Speaker 11: need to. That should probably have some sort of regulation. Yes, exactly.
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: That's exactly what they're saying.
- 1:31:46Speaker 13: Now, I never thought I would say this, but Arizona
- 1:31:49Speaker 13: is home to the worst in something. Unfortunately, out of
- 1:31:54Speaker 13: all the McDonald's in the entire country, the worst rated
- 1:31:57Speaker 13: one is right.
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: Here in Arizona.
- 1:31:59Speaker 5: Guess which one? I wonder.
- 1:32:00Speaker 9: I wonder.
- 1:32:03Speaker 13: I venture to say you've never been to this one,
- 1:32:05Speaker 13: John Jay, just because you live in your bubble.
- 1:32:07Speaker 11: It's a surprise.
- 1:32:08Speaker 15: Oh, close.
- 1:32:08Speaker 13: The one surprise at the end of the list is
- 1:32:10Speaker 13: getting national attention for all the wrong reasons.
- 1:32:13Speaker 9: No one knows.
- 1:32:14Speaker 6: Have you been to that McDonald's, Noah?
- 1:32:17Speaker 17: My younger cousin actually worked at this McDonald's for three months.
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: It is an absolute... Really?
- 1:32:23Speaker 11: Well....
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: Put their location on the throne.
- 1:32:39Speaker 3: Don't they have to, like, adhere to a certain level
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: of awesome to be at McDonald's?
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: What's the problem in the story?
- 1:32:45Speaker 13: In the article, it just says, out of the average
- 1:32:48Speaker 13: ratings of all of them, they average a one star.
- 1:32:51Speaker 11: Oh my gosh, I would not want to be in
- 1:32:53Speaker 11: that meeting the next morning after that article came out.
- 1:32:56Speaker 6: I'm guessing some people are going to get fired.
- 1:32:58Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 1:32:59Speaker 13: On a happier note, apparently the secret to a happier
- 1:33:01Speaker 13: home may be getting rid of all the beige.
- 1:33:04Speaker 6: And white we've all been obsessed with.
- 1:33:06Speaker 13: Gen Z and millennials are embracing something they're calling dopamine decor,
- 1:33:12Speaker 13: which is filling your home with bright colors, fun patterns,
- 1:33:15Speaker 13: even furniture inspired by gummy bears. Pinterest says searches for
- 1:33:19Speaker 13: that gummy bear look are up like a bajillion percent.
- 1:33:21Speaker 13: Designers are saying all the playful decor can help make
- 1:33:24Speaker 13: your home feel happier and more comforting when life gets stressful.
- 1:33:28Speaker 13: I want to end on this one, and this is
- 1:33:31Speaker 13: so heartwarming. So there was this dad in Phoenix who
- 1:33:35Speaker 13: got scammed out of his entire DoorDash paycheck right before
- 1:33:38Speaker 13: his little girl's second birthday. He was absolutely devastated because
- 1:33:42Speaker 13: now he couldn't afford to buy her anything for her birthday.
- 1:33:44Speaker 13: Two Phoenix police officers responded to his call. They listened
- 1:33:47Speaker 13: to everything that happened. They, you know, obviously put in
- 1:33:50Speaker 13: to investigate what went down. But then also on their
- 1:33:53Speaker 13: own time, they decided to go shopping with their own money,
- 1:33:56Speaker 13: bought this little girl clothes, toys, even a pink bicycle
- 1:33:59Speaker 13: with tassels. And then we showed up at the family's
- 1:34:00Speaker 13: house with all the gifts. The dad like started crying.
- 1:34:03Speaker 13: And this is just this beautiful moment. It was all
- 1:34:05Speaker 13: captured on police body cam. But I love hearing great
- 1:34:07Speaker 13: stories like that. Kind of just like, I don't know,
- 1:34:10Speaker 13: just like restores your faith in humanity a little bit.
- 1:34:12Speaker 13: So great job to those officers. And that's what you
- 1:34:15Speaker 13: need to know.
- 1:34:16Speaker 5: No, you have more to add to McDonald's story. The
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: one that your cousin worked at. I was going to say, when.
- 1:34:22Speaker 17: I worked at Subway, we were taught that on Google
- 1:34:25Speaker 17: reviews for major chains, because there's so many reviews that
- 1:34:29Speaker 17: come in day in, day out, the lowest you'll usually
- 1:34:33Speaker 17: see is a three star, even.
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: If things are really, really bad.
- 1:34:35Speaker 17: So for a big chain to have a one star
- 1:34:37Speaker 17: at a certain location.
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: Is really crazy.
- 1:34:40Speaker 17: If it's a mom and pop shop and it has
- 1:34:41Speaker 17: a one star, you'll go and you'll have a great experience.
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: I don't know why this place has a one star.
- 1:34:46Speaker 17: But if a fast food place has a one star, it.
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: Has to be Yeah, but it's also McDonald's. So it's like,
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: I bet you a one-star McDonald's. I mean, it's like
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: the largest restaurant chain in the world.
- 1:34:56Speaker 5: Like, What's so bad about it?
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: Well, it's probably this.
- 1:35:01Speaker 13: It's probably when you show up to McDonald's, you expect
- 1:35:04Speaker 13: the cheeseburger to be the same.
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: You expect the fries to taste like McDonald's fries. You
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: expect the service to at least be there.
- 1:35:10Speaker 13: And it's like people are consistently waiting and getting upset
- 1:35:13Speaker 13: and the food's not right.
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: So it's like you kind.
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: Of got to get that out of control, you know?
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: I love McDonald's.
- 1:35:17Speaker 6: You're expecting something and you don't get it.
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: Or somebody got burned there and they just made it
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: their mission to trash that one McDonald's on Google reviews.
- 1:35:25Speaker 6: It takes a lot of people to do that.
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: Because I love McDonald's. I truly do. I agree right now.
- 1:35:30Speaker 11: I do, too.
- 1:35:32Speaker 6: It takes some hash browns, right?
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: Have you seen the commercial for Burger King where they
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: start off the commercial? You told us our chicken nuggets
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: were no good. So we went back and made them better.
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: That's kind of an honest approach.
- 1:35:42Speaker 11: I like it, though. I like the way companies, like,
- 1:35:45Speaker 11: they listen and they say, hey, we messed up here.
- 1:35:47Speaker 11: Let's make it right. That's the way to do it.
