- 0:37Speaker 3: So walking from the back house to the front house,
- 0:42Speaker 3: Lisa and Lauren are in the hot tub. Lauren's back
- 0:45Speaker 3: is towards me and Lisa. Lauren goes, who is that
- 0:49Speaker 3: because Lisa said something to me and she goes to Lauren,
- 0:52Speaker 3: your son, I.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Hope my son, your son, son, your son.
- 0:58Speaker 4: I heard that, And I go, all right, I'm moving
- 0:59Speaker 4: out of your son, your son, your son.
- 1:10Speaker 5: I heard that. I was like, oh God, she's really.
- 1:12Speaker 6: Treating you like the dad of the household.
- 1:15Speaker 1: She's taking it to a new No, it's wild. Actually,
- 1:17Speaker 1: today I was driving from whatever to take Ocean back
- 1:23Speaker 1: to the house and my mom calls Brock and says
- 1:26Speaker 1: what are you when some are doing today? Would you
- 1:28Speaker 1: guys like to come over to the house so they're
- 1:30Speaker 1: at the house while we record the podcast. Yeah, and
- 1:35Speaker 1: then I'm going to take that. Brock brought his laptop over.
- 1:38Speaker 1: He's going to do his work at the house. His
- 1:41Speaker 1: mom's in town, so they're all having like a little playdate.
- 1:44Speaker 5: So Brock can work, the mamas can play.
- 1:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:47Speaker 1: She also had to record her podcast. So it's just
- 1:50Speaker 1: a very fun dynamic to be a part of. And
- 1:53Speaker 1: I appreciate all. Even though it was Mother's Day, I
- 1:57Speaker 1: feel like every day is Mother's Day. Every day is
- 2:00Speaker 1: Father's Day.
- 2:00Speaker 5: For me because I felt it just never feels different.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Every day I wake up, it's Lisa's day, Lauren's day,
- 2:07Speaker 3: your days.
- 2:09Speaker 1: You've made a comment that we've been giving you so
- 2:11Speaker 1: many compliments.
- 2:13Speaker 5: I just am beaming over here.
- 2:15Speaker 6: You seem to be in a great, great space. Are
- 2:17Speaker 6: so proud of you.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: We're all very happy and proud. And I love the
- 2:21Speaker 1: topic for today because I feel like coming off of
- 2:25Speaker 1: Mother's Day or just parents' Day. The bonus episode topic
- 2:30Speaker 1: today is lit child favorite childhood memories you do?
- 2:36Speaker 5: Yeah, he did?
- 2:37Speaker 1: You narrow them down? A bit no I am, because okay,
- 2:42Speaker 1: let's let's start with the specific, because I want our
- 2:44Speaker 1: listeners to weigh in pretty heavy.
- 2:46Speaker 6: So we've got a ton of amazing listener ones. My
- 2:49Speaker 6: specific one.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I have the specific memory I always go back to
- 2:52Speaker 2: when I need peace, and it's like beautiful. I was thirteen,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and it's I took my horse. We had it was
- 2:58Speaker 2: our house and we had a backyard, a creek, and
- 3:00Speaker 2: then a giant field. I took my horse. It was
- 3:03Speaker 2: just me and Joy and we went back to the
- 3:04Speaker 2: giant field and it was just this one day. And
- 3:07Speaker 2: I'd usually be nervous about potholes and stuff, but today
- 3:09Speaker 2: it was like sunny.
- 3:11Speaker 6: There were no horse flies. I had to swat off
- 3:12Speaker 6: and I was like Joy.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I was like I was talking to her and I
- 3:15Speaker 2: was like, let's go, let's go, and we just booked
- 3:18Speaker 2: it across the field and it was so fast that
- 3:21Speaker 2: it felt like a glide. And I remember thinking like
- 3:24Speaker 2: this is like I was just like in Bliss and I.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Always how old were you.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I was like twelve or thirteen, and I just was
- 3:31Speaker 6: like and I was like, we were booking like it
- 3:34Speaker 6: was usually.
- 3:35Speaker 1: You felt like you were like in a movie like Yes,
- 3:37Speaker 1: joy was like gallop and there you were why it
- 3:41Speaker 1: was like spring, but you felt like you were in
- 3:43Speaker 1: the notebook, in the notebook or in some sort you
- 3:45Speaker 1: looked around, not a horse fly insight insight.
- 3:49Speaker 2: They'd usually bite me too, even if I had on
- 3:51Speaker 2: like my pants or something.
- 3:53Speaker 6: So it was beautiful.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That was the general or specific, and then general was
- 3:57Speaker 2: just Blockbuster like Blockbuster visits I miss.
- 4:00Speaker 6: Oh, do you ever remember just like going?
- 4:02Speaker 1: You just added to my memories?
- 4:04Speaker 7: I did?
- 4:04Speaker 5: That was mine? Oh, but mine was Hollywood Video.
- 4:07Speaker 1: The same off Wastage Boulevard in the Strip Center.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Because we'd go every like Friday and Saturday.
- 4:12Speaker 3: My dad would take us because I'd have like a buddy,
- 4:14Speaker 3: and then she would go and we'd get like a
- 4:16Speaker 3: video game. We'd rent a video game and a movie
- 4:18Speaker 3: and then we'd play it, and then the next day
- 4:20Speaker 3: we'd go and if we liked the game, we'd keep it,
- 4:22Speaker 3: go get another game for the next night. Yeah, and
- 4:24Speaker 3: then another movie, and then on Sunday night we'd take.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Them back and Monday hit. But yeah, that was my
- 4:30Speaker 5: favorite reason.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Did you guys have the porn sections in your Are
- 4:33Speaker 6: you crazy?
- 4:34Speaker 5: In Utah? Yeah?
- 4:36Speaker 1: But you can even buy alcohol in the grocery store.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You had to go into a liquor store where children
- 4:40Speaker 1: were not allowed. You had to be twenty one to enter.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Well you know this. I learned this from Dylan because
- 4:47Speaker 5: his brother.
- 4:48Speaker 3: There was a like an R section in Hollywood Video,
- 4:52Speaker 3: but it was in a back door and they had
- 4:54Speaker 3: to let you in if you were of age to
- 4:56Speaker 3: look at the rated R movie.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Yeah, it was like a sneak.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Don't tell me that. Don't tell me that. I wanted
- 5:01Speaker 1: to be just like pear Bliss and Child as adults
- 5:05Speaker 1: were in there going like where's that rated R film? No, No,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I don't. I don't because I grew up in a
- 5:10Speaker 1: household where my parents probably had a lot of sex
- 5:12Speaker 1: and no one needed to be watching weird fucking videos.
- 5:16Speaker 3: They had it okay, talking porn. I was even talking
- 5:18Speaker 3: like Chainsaw Massacre, like all the rated all. No, No,
- 5:21Speaker 3: you were behind a door, not just porn.
- 5:24Speaker 5: I think.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I thought, Well, we went from Jessica asking me if
- 5:26Speaker 1: they had the porn section to you telling me there's
- 5:28Speaker 1: a back door.
- 5:29Speaker 5: So yeah, I'm thinking they probably had porn. I didn't
- 5:32Speaker 5: know porn.
- 5:33Speaker 2: They in King Video they had the porn section, and
- 5:36Speaker 2: my parents and a few other crazies organized a protest
- 5:41Speaker 2: to protest the porn section because it wasn't.
- 5:43Speaker 5: To make it bigger for the kids.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's too small. It as a back door and then
- 5:54Speaker 1: do that to me. No, I am totally fine with
- 5:59Speaker 1: a healthy amount of porn viewing.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Tell us about your childhood memory, law, let's stick with that,
- 6:07Speaker 2: keep the porn out.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I just love that, all right, Happy Mother's Day, childhood memories,
- 6:13Speaker 1: No porn allowed. Save it for the regular episodes on
- 6:16Speaker 1: home Day, all right. My favorite memories also Hollywood Video.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I loved Hollywood Video because I would ask my mom
- 6:24Speaker 1: to rent me the same Mary Kate and Ashley movie
- 6:27Speaker 1: every single time, and then she would say, Honey, do
- 6:30Speaker 1: you just want me to buy it for you? Do
- 6:32Speaker 1: you really like it that much? And I was like, yes,
- 6:36Speaker 1: please buy it for may. But I had to work
- 6:39Speaker 1: for my spice girls watch at fred Meyer movies I
- 6:42Speaker 1: usually got. But anything beyond the movie, like, I had
- 6:46Speaker 1: to do my chores like vacuum the stairs and stuff. Anyway,
- 6:49Speaker 1: my next favorite memory would be anytime we went to
- 6:52Speaker 1: Lake Powell. It's my most favorite place on earth. Okay,
- 6:57Speaker 1: if you asked me, you could go anywhere in the world,
- 7:00Speaker 1: it would be Lake Powell. We had a houseboat. We
- 7:04Speaker 1: grew up going there every summer. I found out that
- 7:07Speaker 1: Justice in Courtney, Sina's sister. They're going this summer, and
- 7:11Speaker 1: as you guys know, we're not filming, and contrary to
- 7:14Speaker 1: what the Internet says, I'm very happy about it. Okay,
- 7:18Speaker 1: there's like a thing that Brittany showed me, me running
- 7:20Speaker 1: to the valley. I guess it's like laala hearing that
- 7:23Speaker 1: there's no more Vanderbump rules this summer and me booking it.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Let me be very clear. I bought my house in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the valley because it's all I could afford. I would
- 7:32Speaker 1: have liked to have been in the Beverly Hills flats, bitch,
- 7:34Speaker 1: but I can't afford it. Yes, okay, I did not
- 7:37Speaker 1: move to the valley because I want to be on
- 7:39Speaker 1: the valley. I moved there because that's what I could afford.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Fucking hell. Hell anyway, So they tell me we're going
- 7:55Speaker 1: to Lake Powell. I think we're not filming this summer.
- 7:58Speaker 1: They said, we have an extra bedroom on the house.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I said, count me in. She goes, Okay, these are
- 8:03Speaker 1: the dates. We're going August something through September one, and
- 8:08Speaker 1: I say, I'm down. Count me in. I said, but
- 8:12Speaker 1: we should extend through like the second or the third,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because that's my birthday and we should. I want to
- 8:18Speaker 1: stay in the Powell, and she goes, you're giving birth.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I was just got that time. You're giving birth, and
- 8:25Speaker 1: I go.
- 8:25Speaker 6: You could do a water birth in the lake.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I'm pregnant and I will be giving birth at that time,
- 8:31Speaker 1: so I guess count me out. I was ready to
- 8:32Speaker 1: chop a rothbarton give birth to this baby right on
- 8:36Speaker 1: the houseboat, jump.
- 8:37Speaker 5: On the jet ski.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Not the baby, the baby on the bill, you guys,
- 8:49Speaker 1: my baby. Speaking of breastfeeding baby or baby ol baby.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Oh.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I had friends in town and they're still feeding their babies.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And now my daughter is asking me if I can
- 9:05Speaker 1: feed her with my boobs, and I told her, I go,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I used to not anymore. And now I walk in
- 9:12Speaker 1: and she has like her stuffed animal nothing. I go,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you doing? And she just I'm
- 9:18Speaker 1: feeding my baby, So please tell me if that's okay.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It's my first time doing this. I wone tell me
- 9:28Speaker 1: if this is normal.
- 9:29Speaker 6: I have no so cute. I have been so cute.
- 9:32Speaker 6: I used to feed my baby with a bottle.
- 9:33Speaker 2: It's the same thing, not with her breasts, like change
- 9:38Speaker 2: my baby's diapers.
- 9:40Speaker 6: Can you guys do that?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Okay? If if you guys can tell me it's it's
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's normal. Great.
- 9:46Speaker 6: I'm not a mom.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, I'm a first time mom. So
- 9:49Speaker 1: someone tell me because I have another girl coming and
- 9:51Speaker 1: the next if this happens with babys, I'd like to know,
- 9:54Speaker 1: Like that's fine, yeah, but tell me because I will
- 9:57Speaker 1: be breastfeeding a new baby and I just I just
- 9:58Speaker 1: want everything to be happy and healthy, and like I
- 10:01Speaker 1: need the steps and progression and evolution of my children
- 10:06Speaker 1: to happen in a timely and safe manner. Am I
- 10:09Speaker 1: making sense?
- 10:09Speaker 5: This is good? This is gonna have great content here
- 10:12Speaker 5: in a couple of months.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Okay. So the next thing is Newport Beach, which we
- 10:17Speaker 1: went every summer with Dad. But also, can I tell
- 10:19Speaker 1: you my favorite memory east going up Mill Creek Canyon
- 10:23Speaker 1: to barbecue with the Russians. Oh yeah, that was my
- 10:27Speaker 1: most favorite thing to do. I'm this summer, I want
- 10:30Speaker 1: to do that. I don't have to work. You guys
- 10:33Speaker 1: there are so many teas I want to go back
- 10:37Speaker 1: to Utah.
- 10:38Speaker 6: In like July. I'm saying weak.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I know you should come. It's so much fun, all
- 10:44Speaker 1: of it. Like I'm so thrilled to have this summer off.
- 10:47Speaker 1: There's so like my my family, Brandon Cheryl. They come
- 10:50Speaker 1: out every year for Newport for a good chunk of time,
- 10:55Speaker 1: and I never get to see them because I am
- 10:57Speaker 1: always filming Vander pump Roules. So to say that, I
- 11:01Speaker 1: am very glad that not only I get to enjoy
- 11:04Speaker 1: my pregnancy through the summer, like I get to do
- 11:07Speaker 1: things that I don't normally get to do. My niece
- 11:10Speaker 1: and nephew are off. We're gonna have the best time
- 11:12Speaker 1: creating new See, we're.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Creating more merried And then we should get like an
- 11:16Speaker 3: Airbnb when we go back to Utah and just like
- 11:18Speaker 3: put the whole.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Family in it.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, okay, that's so fun. Did everyone get their
- 11:23Speaker 1: memories out or did I skip you Easters?
- 11:25Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:26Speaker 3: Besides the fun Blockbuster was great, but like the same,
- 11:29Speaker 3: Like I loved going to like Saint George when we
- 11:31Speaker 3: would get on the ATVs, all of us with like
- 11:34Speaker 3: I don't know if you went with me and mom
- 11:36Speaker 3: and dad we just like do a little thing, go
- 11:37Speaker 3: on the ATVs just I was killed out the back
- 11:39Speaker 3: and just have lunch and go back.
- 11:40Speaker 5: So I love saying George for that reason.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Obviously like Powell because it was just like family oriented
- 11:46Speaker 3: uh huh. But my favorite thing, honestly was like the
- 11:48Speaker 3: drive from Salt Lake to the Atrium Hotel across the
- 11:52Speaker 3: street from John Wayne Airport.
- 11:54Speaker 1: With the Giant TV that won bad move and we're
- 11:57Speaker 1: rolling the whole families that were taken out by the
- 12:00Speaker 1: giants television.
- 12:01Speaker 3: We would lay down the seats and on the back
- 12:04Speaker 3: bench and we would start there.
- 12:06Speaker 5: No, my dad would make them that the TV. We
- 12:08Speaker 5: would We did that too.
- 12:10Speaker 6: On long drives the t the Giant.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And then if you're a little tired to take the
- 12:16Speaker 1: seatbelt off.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Taking knapsould blanket.
- 12:20Speaker 3: You would have seen the TV fly through the kids
- 12:23Speaker 3: and the kid as well, or maybe the kid in
- 12:25Speaker 3: the TV.
- 12:26Speaker 6: No, I wasn't.
- 12:29Speaker 5: Neither was the TV a babe. That's why they started.
- 12:33Speaker 1: What is d O A dead arrive?
- 12:37Speaker 5: That's us.
- 12:38Speaker 1: That's one wrong move. My favorite memory and I love
- 12:43Speaker 1: those memories, great memories.
- 12:44Speaker 6: That is fun.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Dad's a savage, right, yeah, ten and two.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Freaked out? You was no kids, seat belted, giant TV.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Keep her straight?
- 12:59Speaker 1: What are our child?
- 13:02Speaker 6: Okay, I'm just going in order this.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Hold on this one I saw and I was like,
- 13:08Speaker 2: that's a great point.
- 13:11Speaker 6: No social media and no ring cameras to catch what.
- 13:14Speaker 1: We were I wait, what is it? What is no social.
- 13:17Speaker 6: Media, no ring cameras to catch what we were doing? Dude?
- 13:20Speaker 6: If we had ring cameras.
- 13:22Speaker 1: That's the best, Dude, that's the best.
- 13:26Speaker 5: I hate ring cameras even Like if I.
- 13:28Speaker 1: See people I hate ring camera's eye.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Thumb on it before I even get there.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Put the thumb on it, and then go around and
- 13:33Speaker 3: knock you see who I am?
- 13:36Speaker 5: All right? I like that we can already see it
- 13:38Speaker 5: before you block it, depending on no, depending on the
- 13:41Speaker 5: angle of the uh.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I'm in an apartment right now, not really well not
- 13:46Speaker 3: anymore in your house, but like all in the apartment.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Everybody like has the ring camera right on this side
- 13:51Speaker 3: of the apartment. So like if you walk up to
- 13:53Speaker 3: the door and then put it on and walk by.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I just like to walk by if they're random
- 13:57Speaker 2: apartment neighbors and just turn and look, just smile.
- 14:01Speaker 5: I do that too.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll see it and I'll just sit there, yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 3: and then just walk.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't even notice ring cameras. You don't know,
- 14:09Speaker 1: because I feel like everyone has them, and it's just
- 14:11Speaker 1: like me being like, oh, look, they're just making sure
- 14:14Speaker 1: that they're protected.
- 14:15Speaker 6: There's a ring camera.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Okay this one sleepover sleepovers at my grandparents' house.
- 14:20Speaker 6: Such a simple memory, but those were the best days.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Did you guys ever sleep over your grandparents? I never
- 14:24Speaker 6: did that. No, I don't think my grandparents ever wanted.
- 14:26Speaker 2: They had like a beautiful house on the lake, and
- 14:27Speaker 2: they're like, get these we love you, but like, no,
- 14:29Speaker 2: dirty kids, you're not going to be in this house.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I remember my mom getting into a really bad fight
- 14:33Speaker 1: with my dad one night and we slept in my grandma's.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Mimi's.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Wait, did we have a big cousin sleepover at
- 14:42Speaker 1: grandma's one time and she made us peach homemade peach
- 14:47Speaker 1: ice cream?
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, downstairs, Yes, But I think because our home was
- 14:51Speaker 3: so close, we like did all of that and then
- 14:53Speaker 3: when everybody was going to bed, we went home and then.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We probably I always left sleepover.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to sleep next to these musties.
- 15:04Speaker 5: It's a mile away.
- 15:06Speaker 6: I love to get sleepover Blockbuster.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Playing in the dirt. I loved playing in the dirt.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That was also really fun. Do you remember the condo
- 15:18Speaker 1: in Saint George, the back area where you'd go up
- 15:21Speaker 1: the stairs and there were all those rose bushes and
- 15:23Speaker 1: you and I would dig in the dirt and make tractor.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Me and alexil zach Russen used to do that all
- 15:27Speaker 5: the time. We'd so fine your house.
- 15:30Speaker 3: In our house, we just have big bulldozers and we'd
- 15:33Speaker 3: make roads and then we'd get Lincoln logs and build houses.
- 15:36Speaker 5: On the roads.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Oh, I loved Lincoln logs.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Yeah, we were you were contractors out there.
- 15:40Speaker 1: My big my biggest thing for Ocean is there's nothing
- 15:43Speaker 1: like your mom being like, yeah, we're gonna go have
- 15:45Speaker 1: a play date with so and so, and like the
- 15:49Speaker 1: moms were staying, like and I'm gonna stay. We're gonna
- 15:52Speaker 1: take you to the mall and go to lunch. It's like,
- 15:54Speaker 1: as an adult, it doesn't seem like anything, But I
- 15:57Speaker 1: remember that feeling as a kid, having like a plan
- 16:01Speaker 1: with a friend and our moms were going too, so
