Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Crown Jewel 2025 Review | Cena And Styles PAY HOMAGE To Past Rivals In Another CLASSIC

- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, it definitely wasn't a C show this time. I
- 0:03Speaker 1: think it's safe to say Crown Jewel is in the books.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Crown Jewel was a very good show. Crown Jewel is
- 0:10Speaker 1: more like in the B plus range. I would say
- 0:13Speaker 1: if the last show was to see, this is definitely
- 0:16Speaker 1: in the range of a BB plus because I enjoyed
- 0:20Speaker 1: this show. I enjoyed largely this show off the back
- 0:24Speaker 1: of one match in particular, which was John Cena and
- 0:27Speaker 1: AJ Styles. You removed that match from this card, and
- 0:31Speaker 1: I'm not going to be so generous. It was still
- 0:33Speaker 1: a good show, but not nearly as good if you
- 0:37Speaker 1: took that match out. And I will point out to
- 0:39Speaker 1: you because I think it's worth pointing out that since
- 0:43Speaker 1: his return to being a babyface after that failed heel
- 0:47Speaker 1: run at the beginning of the year, John Cena, right
- 0:50Speaker 1: before SummerSlam, right went back to being a babyface again.
- 0:54Speaker 1: And here's a guy who and I will admit because
- 0:58Speaker 1: I was one of these people who was saying it
- 1:00Speaker 1: when John Cena would show up on occasion to do
- 1:03Speaker 1: a match over the last few years, when John Cena
- 1:06Speaker 1: would come in and have you know, a singles match
- 1:08Speaker 1: of WrestleMania with Austin Theory a couple of years ago.
- 1:12Speaker 1: You know, you hear things like, oh, he's washed. That's it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: He doesn't have it anymore, he can't go anymore. The
- 1:19Speaker 1: man is washed. Right for a guy who was washed,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I will point out to you that John Cena has
- 1:26Speaker 1: stolen the show on three of the last four pls.
- 1:32Speaker 1: So that doesn't sound like a guy who's washed me.
- 1:35Speaker 1: It sounds like a guy who still has it within
- 1:38Speaker 1: him to pull out something very special if the circumstances
- 1:42Speaker 1: are right, and if he has the right dance partner
- 1:44Speaker 1: in the ring with him. He proved that at SummerSlam.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He proved it in Paris with Logan Paul because they
- 1:49Speaker 1: had the best match on that show, and he proved
- 1:52Speaker 1: it tonight at Crown Jewel with Aj Styles because these
- 1:56Speaker 1: two men went out there and they had a fantastic match.
- 2:00Speaker 1: They rekindled a lot of that old chemistry that they
- 2:03Speaker 1: had when they began their feud back in twenty sixteen.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And if you really look at all of the matches
- 2:09Speaker 1: they had prior to this show, they have never had
- 2:12Speaker 1: a bad match before. Never from the very first match
- 2:16Speaker 1: that they had at Money in the Bank until that
- 2:18Speaker 1: very last big pl match they had at the Royal
- 2:21Speaker 1: Rumble We're Sena one number sixteen, and even the television
- 2:25Speaker 1: match on SmackDown the year after that. Every single time
- 2:28Speaker 1: these two get in the ring together, they put on
- 2:32Speaker 1: an absolute masterclass in the ring. That again, you just
- 2:37Speaker 1: have certain opponents that can bring the best out of you.
- 2:39Speaker 1: That's what we got with John Cena and Cmpunk. That's
- 2:42Speaker 1: what we got many times with John Cena and Edge Right,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you didn't always get it, but with the right person.
- 2:48Speaker 1: AJ Styles was that person. I will also point out
- 2:51Speaker 1: to you that, and I was actually a little surprised.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't recall the announcers even mentioning this. They mentioned
- 2:56Speaker 1: it on TV during the week, but I don't think
- 2:58Speaker 1: they mentioned this on the show. CERT didn't when the
- 3:00Speaker 1: match was over. This was John Cena's one hundredth pl
- 3:04Speaker 1: E win, So he now sits in second place all
- 3:08Speaker 1: time in WWE, second only to the Undertaker with one
- 3:12Speaker 1: oh seven. And obviously he's not going to pass the
- 3:14Speaker 1: Undertaker because John Cena has I guess one ple E
- 3:18Speaker 1: left unless you count Saturday Night's Made event as a
- 3:20Speaker 1: premium live event, which I don't Uh, he's only got
- 3:23Speaker 1: one left and that is Survivor Series. Actually, John Cena
- 3:26Speaker 1: only has four dates left in general, and that is it.
- 3:30Speaker 1: That is it. So much time wasted on that heel run.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I mean, we're going to look back on it and
- 3:35Speaker 1: there'll be the post mortem and everything once scene is
- 3:38Speaker 1: actually done. But I'll tell you what, this last leg
- 3:41Speaker 1: of the retirement tour, I am greatly enjoying it. I
- 3:44Speaker 1: only wish we had more time and we could have
- 3:46Speaker 1: made better use of this year. But this was a
- 3:49Speaker 1: match I was hoping to get when they first announced
- 3:51Speaker 1: that he was going to be going on this retirement tour.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And you make you know, everyone makes their list the
- 3:55Speaker 1: top five, top ten people you want to see him
- 3:57Speaker 1: in the ring with, and I don't know that there
- 3:59Speaker 1: would have been a single person who wouldn't have had
- 4:00Speaker 1: aj Styles on that list. So I'm very happy we
- 4:04Speaker 1: got the match. We got a lot of callbacks in
- 4:06Speaker 1: this match. We've got a lot of people who were honored.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I guess you would say by either Sina or AJ
- 4:13Speaker 1: past foes of theirs, because remember, John Cena is not
- 4:15Speaker 1: the only one whose career was coming to an end
- 4:18Speaker 1: very soon. AJ Styles has already made it very clear
- 4:22Speaker 1: he has done in the year twenty twenty six. He
- 4:25Speaker 1: made it very clear in Australia again this week. So
- 4:29Speaker 1: to see him making, you know, or putting together these
- 4:33Speaker 1: moves to pay respect to people like staying in Samoa Joe,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and then you see John Cena in there paying homage
- 4:39Speaker 1: to all the men that he's not going to be
- 4:41Speaker 1: able to step into the ring with because there's not
- 4:42Speaker 1: enough time left. Whether it's Rusev or whether it's the
- 4:46Speaker 1: Miz or whoever, it is only added to the match.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It was just a really enjoyable twenty seven minutes, I
- 4:54Speaker 1: want to say. Now, contrast that with another match on
- 4:57Speaker 1: the show that went about his long and actually a
- 4:59Speaker 1: little bit longer than the Scena an Aj match, and
- 5:03Speaker 1: that match when it was over, I felt like there
- 5:04Speaker 1: was no reason for that match to be as long
- 5:07Speaker 1: as it was right. You could you could tell them
- 5:09Speaker 1: the level of enjoyment I had for each of these matches.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You had the Scena match where the thought never crossed
- 5:14Speaker 1: my mind of oh, you know, this match has gone
- 5:16Speaker 1: a little too long as compared to the main event,
- 5:20Speaker 1: which was not a bad match, but that match I
- 5:22Speaker 1: definitely felt like there was no reason for this match
- 5:24Speaker 1: to be going thirty minutes, which is what it went.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Seth Rollins is your Crown Jewel Champion for twenty twenty five.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Last year it was Cody. This year at Seth, nobody
- 5:35Speaker 1: should be surprised by that. They came into this match.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Seth Rollins was in a zero for three hole right now.
- 5:42Speaker 1: If this were the oh, I don't know, the Red Sox,
- 5:46Speaker 1: let's say, of two thousand and four with the Yankees, yeah,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you would. You would expect them. They're gonna climb out
- 5:51Speaker 1: of that hole and make history. I mean, who could
- 5:53Speaker 1: have predicted that? But you look at the numbers here
- 5:56Speaker 1: and it's just like, what does Cody Rhodes have to
- 5:58Speaker 1: gain by beating some Deth Rollins? Absolutely nothing? Right that
- 6:03Speaker 1: the outcome here was preordained from the moment they announced
- 6:07Speaker 1: the match, But they try to wrap it around this
- 6:10Speaker 1: story of Seth Rollins and Paul Hayman in self doubt
- 6:13Speaker 1: creeping in and I have to win, I must win
- 6:16Speaker 1: bron breaker and Bronson Reid going to Paul Hayman and saying, well,
- 6:20Speaker 1: what happens if Seth loses? And Hayman telling Rollins right,
- 6:25Speaker 1: the other week. You want to know what happens if
- 6:26Speaker 1: you lose, You lose the respect of your peers, you
- 6:30Speaker 1: lose the respect of your fellow Vision members. They no
- 6:32Speaker 1: longer believe in the vision that you are putting forth,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and they want you to believe that a Seth Rollins
- 6:37Speaker 1: loss here could be catastrophic for this faction. It could
- 6:40Speaker 1: very well be the end of the Vision. But you
- 6:44Speaker 1: had to know coming in this was not going to
- 6:46Speaker 1: be the end of the Vision. In fact, it only
- 6:48Speaker 1: made sense that this night would make the Vision even stronger,
- 6:52Speaker 1: which meant Seth Rollins had to win, and it meant
- 6:55Speaker 1: that Bronson Reid had to win his match against Roman
- 6:58Speaker 1: Reigns because a loser he would look like had he
- 7:01Speaker 1: come in and lost his second straight pl match to
- 7:05Speaker 1: Roman Reigns. And I'm happy to say they did the
- 7:08Speaker 1: right thing, and in fact, Bronson Reid did come out
- 7:10Speaker 1: of this show on the winning end of things. But
- 7:14Speaker 1: we'll get into all the different matches here. Of course,
- 7:17Speaker 1: we also had Rhea, Ripley and Eosky against Oscar and
- 7:19Speaker 1: Kyrie saying that story's been playing itself out now for
- 7:22Speaker 1: several months on WWE television, and I mentioned Bronson Reid
- 7:27Speaker 1: the biggest win of his career on this show, and
- 7:30Speaker 1: then we had another Crown Jewel Championship match with a women,
- 7:33Speaker 1: Stephanie Vaquierre Tiffany Stratton. Unlike the Cody Rhods and Seth
- 7:37Speaker 1: Rollins match which was actually coming into this show, had
- 7:41Speaker 1: the best story. It had the richest history of any
- 7:45Speaker 1: of the matches on this show, which is kind of
- 7:46Speaker 1: funny now that I look back at this that we're
- 7:48Speaker 1: talking about this five match pl e right, a Triple
- 7:52Speaker 1: H special, and of all the matches on the card,
- 7:55Speaker 1: the match that I enjoyed the most and to me,
- 7:59Speaker 1: inarguably the best match on the entire show was the
- 8:02Speaker 1: one that had absolutely no story. I mean, they have
- 8:05Speaker 1: a history together, but that's not the story. There's no
- 8:07Speaker 1: story about this match. They decided to put together a
- 8:10Speaker 1: match between these two guys, knowing that, yeah, I'm sure
- 8:14Speaker 1: Sena wanted to work with him, but they put this
- 8:15Speaker 1: match together because now they wanted to put together this
- 8:19Speaker 1: dream match that they could promote for the show. Sena
- 8:22Speaker 1: never appeared once on television. We had not seen John
- 8:24Speaker 1: Cena at all since he got destroyed by Brock Lesner
- 8:28Speaker 1: at Wressell Palooza. They just announced the match, but that
- 8:32Speaker 1: was the best thing on the entire show. Now, Stephanieva
- 8:36Speaker 1: kaeron Tiffitty Stratton, no story there whatsoever. We have this
- 8:40Speaker 1: Crown Jeweled Championship, which is bigger than most of the
- 8:43Speaker 1: women they have on the fucking roster, and we had
- 8:46Speaker 1: the champion on one brand facing the champion on the
- 8:49Speaker 1: other brand for an even bigger belt that we will
- 8:51Speaker 1: not see again for another three hundred and sixty five days.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Not much to it. Really not a bad match, but
- 8:58Speaker 1: not a whole lot to it, and definitely not something
- 9:01Speaker 1: that anybody who's going to go back and have the
- 9:03Speaker 1: hankering to go watch again. But when the show is over,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I felt like there was nothing bad on the show,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and there's one thing, one thing that is going to
- 9:12Speaker 1: be memorable. If there's one thing that I do think
- 9:15Speaker 1: people are going to go back and relive and watch
- 9:17Speaker 1: over time, it is the scene of aj match. Everything
- 9:20Speaker 1: else on the show really just felt mostly inconsequential and
- 9:25Speaker 1: not particularly memorable. And that was really the story of
- 9:28Speaker 1: Crown Jewel. I thought it was an enjoyable three hours.
- 9:32Speaker 1: It was really all about one match, but it was
- 9:34Speaker 1: better than Russell Palooza. I will say that this is
- 9:38Speaker 1: your WWE Crown Jewel Perth review. It is Saturday, October eleventh,
- 9:44Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I am the Solemn Monster. Yeah, I
- 9:47Speaker 1: did see on the Post Show they brought Triple H
- 9:50Speaker 1: out again the way they do the Post shows now
- 9:52Speaker 1: because they don't do the media quote unquote scrums anymore.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So they have the panel which is usually Jackie red
- 10:00Speaker 1: Mind and Biggie is there, and they and Peter Rosenberg
- 10:05Speaker 1: and so they bring people out and you see the
- 10:07Speaker 1: fans in the background. So they brought out Triple H,
- 10:10Speaker 1: who of course comes out and he talks about what
- 10:12Speaker 1: a great show it was, what a great night and
- 10:15Speaker 1: all of this stuff. And I'm watching some of the
- 10:18Speaker 1: highlights of this thing. And if you remember when the
- 10:23Speaker 1: fans behind him, maybe it was Summer Slim, We're chanting,
- 10:27Speaker 1: we want Cross, we want Cross, and he of course
- 10:32Speaker 1: pretended like, oh you want Brock, well you got him. Yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 1: it had to be the night that brought came back
- 10:37Speaker 1: a Summer slig Oh you want Brock, right, you want Brock,
- 10:40Speaker 1: you got him? Yeah, selective hearing. So this time this
- 10:45Speaker 1: is even better. So this time, you have fans chanting
- 10:47Speaker 1: for MJF. I don't know where that came from, but
- 10:50Speaker 1: you got MJF chance from the crowd. Of course he's
- 10:53Speaker 1: no selling it and ignoring it, but there's no way
- 10:55Speaker 1: he doesn't hear it. And then after that, after that,
- 11:00Speaker 1: you've got fans that start chanting, we want Edge, we
- 11:04Speaker 1: want Edge again. I don't know where that came from,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and almost like under his breath, like he didn't like
- 11:11Speaker 1: turn around to address them. But you know, Triple H's
- 11:15Speaker 1: response is, well, you can't have him, which is true.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I mean contractually, you just you can't. There's nothing he
- 11:21Speaker 1: could do about it. So he says, you can't have him.
- 11:24Speaker 1: And so what did the fans do? They begin to
- 11:25Speaker 1: sing the lyrics to Metalingis. I felt like it's just
- 11:30Speaker 1: like they're all like and half of them didn't even
- 11:32Speaker 1: I don't think really know the words to the song,
- 11:35Speaker 1: but they start singing the song anyway, as Triple H
- 11:37Speaker 1: is going through his usual spiel about you know, what
- 11:40Speaker 1: a great show and all this other nonsense, and these
- 11:43Speaker 1: people are just they're too busy singing alter Bridge in
- 11:45Speaker 1: the background. They're just look, they're just there to have
- 11:48Speaker 1: a good time. Right. They were there for SmackDown on Friday,
- 11:50Speaker 1: they were there for Crown Jewel. They're gonna have Raw
- 11:53Speaker 1: again in Australia. It's gonna be another early start here
- 11:56Speaker 1: on the East Coast. So we got Raw in Perth
- 11:59Speaker 1: on Monday and you know, largely a hot crowd who
- 12:04Speaker 1: did all the things that you would expect them to do.
- 12:06Speaker 1: When you have these international crowds, the singing now is universal.
- 12:10Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if they're in the UK, if they're
- 12:12Speaker 1: in Paris, France, they're in Australia, Canada. They all have
- 12:17Speaker 1: to sing now. This is the new thing. They all
- 12:20Speaker 1: have to sing. I'm begging them to come up with
- 12:23Speaker 1: something new. You know they sing They basically just take
- 12:26Speaker 1: the wrestler's name and they just sing the same song, right.
- 12:30Speaker 1: It's kind of the same beat, like yeah, Roman Roman
- 12:34Speaker 1: runs right, and then they'll just do the same thing
- 12:36Speaker 1: over and over again with other people. It's like, come on,
- 12:38Speaker 1: come up with some new material. Seriously, if you're gonna
- 12:42Speaker 1: serenade us, it's the least. It's the least you could do.
- 12:44Speaker 1: It's really all I ask. I will not be doing
- 12:47Speaker 1: any singing tonight though, So you don't have to worry
- 12:49Speaker 1: about that, but hit that like button, hit that subscribe button.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Super chats are open. We've had a bunch of them
- 12:55Speaker 1: in already, so I do appreciate the support. If you
- 12:58Speaker 1: have questions and comments on the show, get them on
- 13:01Speaker 1: in and we will go through them a little bit
- 13:03Speaker 1: later on here in the stream. I am in the
- 13:06Speaker 1: middle of a very busy weekend. We had, of course,
- 13:11Speaker 1: a sold out House of Glory show last night, we
- 13:14Speaker 1: had Crown Jewel Van early this morning. I am still
- 13:18Speaker 1: preparing for tomorrow's podcast, not very well, but I'm trying
- 13:23Speaker 1: so hopefully the show won't be too late tomorrow. And
- 13:26Speaker 1: then tomorrow night is TNA Bound for Glory and I'm
- 13:29Speaker 1: hoping I have the chance to go live for that.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So there's a lot going on. And then of course
- 13:33Speaker 1: it starts all over again eight o'clock in the morning
- 13:35Speaker 1: with raw on Monday. So the work never ends. But
- 13:39Speaker 1: I thank you for sticking with me for all of it.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Now we get into this show here. Michael Call and
- 13:46Speaker 1: Wade Barrett they handled commentary for the show, so they
- 13:50Speaker 1: were on the call for this one. They opened with
- 13:53Speaker 1: the Australian street fight between the Big Aussie himself. Bronson
- 13:58Speaker 1: Reid out with Paul Hayman. So no bron breaker and
- 14:03Speaker 1: definitely not getting any sort of heroes welcome, even though
- 14:07Speaker 1: he is from the country. I don't know what part
- 14:10Speaker 1: of Australia he's from, but that shouldn't matter, you know,
- 14:13Speaker 1: he's still he's one of them. But no, they did
- 14:16Speaker 1: not cheer for him when he came out, but he
- 14:19Speaker 1: went one on one with the man that they did
- 14:21Speaker 1: very much cheer for here, which was Roman Reigns. Rains
- 14:26Speaker 1: was all Overread for the first I'd say five minutes
- 14:29Speaker 1: or so here of this match. They ended up outside
- 14:31Speaker 1: the ring. Rains found the trash can and he hit
- 14:36Speaker 1: Read with it. But then he found a few toys,
- 14:39Speaker 1: I guess for him to play with. He found a
- 14:41Speaker 1: cricket bat, so he pulled that out and then he
- 14:45Speaker 1: threw what might at Paul Hayman. He threw what Michael
- 14:49Speaker 1: Cole said was a rugby ball. It was not the
- 14:54Speaker 1: rugby ball that Michael Cole would have you believe that
- 14:57Speaker 1: it was. It was an Australian rules football. This is
- 15:02Speaker 1: a very serious thing here. You got to get it right.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Australian rules football is what it was, so he threw
- 15:10Speaker 1: it to Paul Hayman, which I thought was kind of funny.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They got back in the ring, Rains used the cricket
- 15:15Speaker 1: bat as a weapon, sent Read back out to the floor,
- 15:19Speaker 1: so Rains went to ringside. As soon as he did, though,
- 15:21Speaker 1: Read or Rains that Read steam rolled over him and
- 15:26Speaker 1: briefly took control. Roman then worked him over with a
- 15:29Speaker 1: kendo stick. You can't have a WWE street fight without
- 15:32Speaker 1: a kendo sticks. It's just it's a prerequisite. Here, Rains
- 15:37Speaker 1: grabbed the house mic. At that point, he told the
- 15:39Speaker 1: crowd Perth, if you want tables, acknowledge me. So they
- 15:45Speaker 1: chanted otc and acknowledged him, and he pulled out a
- 15:48Speaker 1: slim gym table from underneath the ring. Reid hit Rains
- 15:52Speaker 1: from behind, He ran him into the ring steps, and
- 15:54Speaker 1: then he slid the table back underneath the ring. Instant heat.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You want to get heat, he's the table. And then
- 16:01Speaker 1: you shove it back under the ring. And you don't
- 16:04Speaker 1: even have to stay into the word. You have to
- 16:06Speaker 1: do anything, You don't have to say anything. The booze
- 16:08Speaker 1: will just rain down upon you. Tables are just the
- 16:12Speaker 1: biggest baby face in all of wrestling. So you do
- 16:16Speaker 1: something like that, you want to get heat. That's one
- 16:18Speaker 1: way to get heat. So Reid grabbed the piece of
- 16:22Speaker 1: the ring steps and he battered Roman with it twice
- 16:25Speaker 1: before tossing him back inside the ring. Reid pulled out
- 16:28Speaker 1: two chairs and he hit Roman with one of them,
- 16:30Speaker 1: which then he wedged in the corner of the ring.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Reid set up a chair in the ring. Roman, though,
- 16:35Speaker 1: shot back up and he hit a Samoan drop to
- 16:39Speaker 1: this big sob right on top of the chair. This chair,
- 16:43Speaker 1: This chair got just destroyed as soon as he dropped
- 16:47Speaker 1: him on the chair. It's as if the chair like
- 16:49Speaker 1: under the weight of Bronson Reed. This fucking chair just
- 16:53Speaker 1: collapsed in a heap, just flattened it. Rains then ran
- 16:58Speaker 1: Read into the chair that was wed in the corner.
- 17:01Speaker 1: He hit him with a superman punch. Rains went to
- 17:04Speaker 1: the corner. He let out his battle cry where I
- 17:08Speaker 1: call it his al pacino. Huah. He let out his
- 17:14Speaker 1: h huah. I don't know why that's funny to me read.
- 17:19Speaker 1: They rolled out of the ring to avoid the spear,
- 17:21Speaker 1: so instead, Rains went to the floor. He started to
- 17:23Speaker 1: circle the ring. He was going to go for a spear,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and what happened. Bron Breaker hops the barricade and he
- 17:30Speaker 1: catches Roman before Roman can catch Reid, and he cuts
- 17:33Speaker 1: him down with his spear. So Michael Cole said, there's
- 17:36Speaker 1: nothing the referee can do because it's a street fight.
- 17:39Speaker 1: There's no diequalification. Breaker hoisted reins up. He handed him
- 17:43Speaker 1: off to Read, who power bombed him through the announced table.
- 17:47Speaker 1: So that brought out the USSOS. So they did make
- 17:52Speaker 1: the trip, even after Roman told him on rom Mounday night,
- 17:54Speaker 1: I don't want you there. I don't want you there.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I don't need your help. They were there anyway, Jimmy
- 17:59Speaker 1: and Jay. He dropped Breaker with a double superkick and
- 18:01Speaker 1: then did the same to Bronson Reid the usso's hip
- 18:04Speaker 1: simultaneous hip attacks to Reid m Breaker the in opposite corners.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Then he dropped Breaker with the one D so the
- 18:12Speaker 1: USSOS they went up top for a double USO splash.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Read those shoved Jimmy off the ropes. Breaker shot up.
- 18:18Speaker 1: He grabbed Jay off the ropes and he military pressed
- 18:21Speaker 1: him over his head and he dropped him onto his
- 18:23Speaker 1: knees for a Gupbuster. So Breaker went to the floor
- 18:27Speaker 1: and he ran around the ring before spearing Jimmy through
- 18:31Speaker 1: the timekeeper's barricade. Reid went up top, Rains caught him
- 18:35Speaker 1: with a superman punch and then a second one. Rains
- 18:38Speaker 1: was ready to charge him for a spear, but he
- 18:41Speaker 1: had to go over and he had to give a
- 18:42Speaker 1: superman punch to bron Breaker to knock him off the apron,
- 18:46Speaker 1: which he went ahead and did. Reid then hoisted up Roman,
- 18:50Speaker 1: who fought free, and as Jay Usso came in for
- 18:54Speaker 1: a spear of his own, Reid moved out of the
- 18:56Speaker 1: way and Jay accidentally speared Roman through the table that
- 19:03Speaker 1: was propped up in the corner. Uh oh, so Jay
- 19:07Speaker 1: couldn't believe what he just did. Breaker returned to the
- 19:09Speaker 1: ring and he speared Jay while Breaker dragged Roman over
- 19:12Speaker 1: to the other corner so that his good buddy Bronson
- 19:15Speaker 1: Reid can ascend to the top and come flying off
- 19:19Speaker 1: with the tsunami splash. One tsunami splash is all it
- 19:24Speaker 1: took to pancake Roman Reigns, and with that tsunami splash,
- 19:28Speaker 1: Bronson Reid pins Roman Reigns in Perth. They actually did it.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Good on them, good on them, the right call. I
- 19:39Speaker 1: mean there should have been a no brainer. But you know,
- 19:41Speaker 1: with these people, you never know, but good on them.
- 19:44Speaker 1: That was the right call to make. That was absolutely
- 19:46Speaker 1: the right call to make, because it now makes Roman's
- 19:51Speaker 1: win over him at clash in Paris at least understandable
- 19:54Speaker 1: if the plan had been to run this back and
- 19:56Speaker 1: do it this way and give him the win here,
- 19:59Speaker 1: understand right, But I mean, we've seen stuff before where
- 20:02Speaker 1: they're just afraid. They're afraid to beat somebody, whether it's
- 20:05Speaker 1: a Roman Reigns or even another big babyface, they just
- 20:09Speaker 1: it's like they're allergic to doing it sometimes. And a
- 20:12Speaker 1: guy like Roman Rains is a made guy. So whether
- 20:15Speaker 1: you beat him clean or whether you beat him with
- 20:18Speaker 1: some assistance, if Roman takes the loss, Roman Reigns is
- 20:22Speaker 1: going to wake up the next day and he's still
- 20:23Speaker 1: going to be Roman Reigns. He's still going to be
- 20:26Speaker 1: the tribal chief of the OTC or whatever nickname he's
- 20:29Speaker 1: going by this week. He's still going to be as
- 20:31Speaker 1: popular as he was when he laid his head on
- 20:33Speaker 1: the pillow the night before. Right, for him, nothing changes,
- 20:36Speaker 1: But for the person he's in the ring with, that
- 20:39Speaker 1: can mean the world. Right, that's a big deal. So
- 20:43Speaker 1: Bronson Reid picks up again inarguably the biggest win of
- 20:47Speaker 1: his career, and with this he becomes only the second man,
- 20:52Speaker 1: the second man behind only Cody Rhodes, who has a
- 20:56Speaker 1: singles pinfall win over Romans since twenty nineteen. That's against
- 21:05Speaker 1: Baron Corbin when Roman was still the big dog. Baron
- 21:09Speaker 1: Corbin pinned him. I want to say it was the
- 21:11Speaker 1: TLC pay per view in twenty nineteen, Cody Rhodes and
- 21:15Speaker 1: Bronson Reid. He's in rarefied air. Now. It's a very
- 21:19Speaker 1: short list since you know this tribal chief Bloodline Roman
- 21:22Speaker 1: stuff started back in twenty twenty. In terms of singles matches,
- 21:26Speaker 1: those are the only two guys. And not only that,
- 21:28Speaker 1: but Bronson Reid is now on a list where he
- 21:31Speaker 1: has pinfall wins over Roman Reigns and Kazushka Okada. Not
- 21:38Speaker 1: too many people can say that. In fact, I'm not
- 21:41Speaker 1: sure if anybody can say that. I mean, I'm sure
- 21:43Speaker 1: somebody will hear this and let me know if I'm wrong.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I can't think of, I mean, who else would be
- 21:48Speaker 1: on that list, at least in terms of like Bloodline
- 21:51Speaker 1: Roman that he beat Roman Reigns and Okada. I mean,
- 21:56Speaker 1: who else would even have the chance to have been
- 21:59Speaker 1: on that list. I can't think of anybody, So it
- 22:02Speaker 1: was a big win for him. Now, was it a
- 22:04Speaker 1: clean wind? No, No, it wasn't clean and it would
- 22:07Speaker 1: have been nice for Reid to shock the world and
- 22:09Speaker 1: do it all by himself. Of course he had help
- 22:12Speaker 1: from bron Breaker, but you know what, Roman had help
- 22:15Speaker 1: from the USOS. He had backup of his own. So
- 22:17Speaker 1: the way I look at it, it kind of balances
- 22:19Speaker 1: things out a little bit. You know, Reid was out
- 22:24Speaker 1: numbered as well when it comes to the USOS going
- 22:26Speaker 1: out there. You had Jimmy and Jay and Roman and
- 22:28Speaker 1: then Bronzon only had bron Breakers. So in a way,
- 22:30Speaker 1: I mean it was kind of unfair. But I mean,
- 22:33Speaker 1: as far as street fights go, this one was very basic.
- 22:36Speaker 1: It did have a lot of interference. So the best
- 22:40Speaker 1: I can really say about it is that it was
- 22:41Speaker 1: a solid opener. It really wasn't anything more than that. Right,
- 22:45Speaker 1: think about the way they built this up when they
- 22:48Speaker 1: announced the stipulation on TV. It really built it up
- 22:51Speaker 1: like if you're gonna beat this man, you're gonna have
- 22:54Speaker 1: to do it in an Australian street fight, as if
- 22:58Speaker 1: this was like a known thing that when he was
- 22:59Speaker 1: on the independent scene in Australia, this was like his
- 23:02Speaker 1: specialty or something that he was known for, Like he's
- 23:05Speaker 1: deadly in these Australian street fights. Because I thought they
- 23:08Speaker 1: were going to make it a stretcher match, and you
- 23:10Speaker 1: hear that and it's like, again, the crowd had no
- 23:12Speaker 1: reaction to that announcement when they made that stipulation, and
- 23:16Speaker 1: I look at it and go, well, of course they
- 23:18Speaker 1: have no real reaction to it because they see street
- 23:22Speaker 1: fights every single week on TV. They see street fights
- 23:26Speaker 1: on every single ple and they all have the same formula, right,
- 23:30Speaker 1: you see the same weapons, the same slim gym tables
- 23:34Speaker 1: and kendo sticks and they you know, take the top
- 23:37Speaker 1: part of the stairs off and they have the chair
- 23:39Speaker 1: across the back and it's like it's the same bullshit
- 23:42Speaker 1: all the time. And so now it's an Australian street fight.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And I joked the other day, I was like, well,
- 23:47Speaker 1: what does that mean, Like are they going to throw?
- 23:49Speaker 1: You know, what kind of objects? Are they going to
- 23:51Speaker 1: find a thread? Sure enough, they had the rugby bat
- 23:53Speaker 1: and they had the Australian football and that was really it.
- 23:57Speaker 1: That was about the only unique stuff they could think of.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I guess, to have that you wouldn't find in a
- 24:01Speaker 1: normal street fight. That's all it was. And so as
- 24:04Speaker 1: street fights go, this was pretty fucking tame. I'm not
- 24:08Speaker 1: saying I want them to go in there. I want,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you know, fucking Darby Allen ripping John Moxley's ear off
- 24:13Speaker 1: and all this gore and shit. But you know, it
- 24:16Speaker 1: was solid. I can't really say it was anything more
- 24:18Speaker 1: than that. The bigger story wasn't the match itself, right,
- 24:21Speaker 1: Reid winning was like one major story here. The real
- 24:26Speaker 1: major story is what came after the match. Roman and
- 24:29Speaker 1: the usso's are sitting in the ring right, not next
- 24:32Speaker 1: to each other, but they're all sitting in the ring
- 24:34Speaker 1: and they're just stewing. And they cut the music off
- 24:37Speaker 1: and the vision has left and Rains is looking over
- 24:41Speaker 1: at the ussos and he is scolding his cousins and
- 24:47Speaker 1: he says, the whole world thinks I can't do shit
- 24:50Speaker 1: on my own. I told you I'm going to do
- 24:54Speaker 1: this on my own. And he go he looks at Jimmy,
- 24:57Speaker 1: he goes, I love you. He looks at Jay and
- 24:59Speaker 1: he goes, I love you, but he says, I don't
- 25:03Speaker 1: want to see y'all until Christmas, and with that he leaves,
- 25:07Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh man, like that's I mean, that
- 25:10Speaker 1: cuts deep. Like he's not even inviting them to Thanksgiving
- 25:13Speaker 1: dinner this year. I just pictured my head like this
- 25:16Speaker 1: big like Samoan feast for Thanksgiving, like all the family
- 25:20Speaker 1: members just I don't even know if they could find
- 25:21Speaker 1: a place big enough to house all of them, but
- 25:24Speaker 1: like one long table, yeah, something like that. And now
- 25:28Speaker 1: they're not even invited. Now Roman says I don't want
- 25:30Speaker 1: to see you until Christmas. That's brutal. But anyway, Roman
- 25:36Speaker 1: leaves the ring and the fans begin to chant someone's
- 25:40Speaker 1: in trouble, turning this from what was supposed to be
- 25:43Speaker 1: a serious angle into comedy. Basically, Jay was very upset.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He told Jimmy he always do him right, like he
- 25:50Speaker 1: always looks out for himself. And I'm sitting here going like, yeah,
- 25:54Speaker 1: no shit, I could have told you that, Like this
- 25:56Speaker 1: is the same person that we saw for those thirteen
- 25:59Speaker 1: hundred plus days when he was the champion, Like absolutely
- 26:03Speaker 1: nothing has changed about Roman Reign since he lost that
- 26:05Speaker 1: championship at WrestleMania last year to Cody Rose. Nothing, nothing
- 26:10Speaker 1: except his music has changed. He has a new T shirt.
- 26:14Speaker 1: That's about it. That's it. He came back. He's not
- 26:18Speaker 1: acting any differently. He's telling people to acknowledge him. Right,
- 26:22Speaker 1: nothing has changed. He was an asshole then, he's an
- 26:24Speaker 1: asshole now. And the only difference is the fans cheer
- 26:27Speaker 1: for him because the fans are assholes. But that's it.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And yet they act like, oh, well, he always looks
- 26:33Speaker 1: out for himself. He always he do him, he do him. Yeah,
- 26:35Speaker 1: no shit, like he's been hanging around this guy for
- 26:39Speaker 1: years and years and years. But Jay's very upset about this,
- 26:42Speaker 1: and Jay basically says I'm out. He says, I'm out,
- 26:46Speaker 1: And that's how the latest Bloodline soap opera ended here
- 26:50Speaker 1: on this show. Roman doesn't want to see them until Christmas,
- 26:53Speaker 1: he says, but there is a Wargames match coming up
- 26:57Speaker 1: before that, right after Thanksgiving, So I'm thinking that Roman
- 27:02Speaker 1: is going to see his cousins a lot sooner than Christmas.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I don't know that either one of the usos are
- 27:08Speaker 1: going heel out of this whole thing. Jay has definitely
- 27:12Speaker 1: been acting more heelish of late, which I like. I
- 27:14Speaker 1: like that they've kind of tweaked this character to try
- 27:16Speaker 1: to give it a harder edge. Roman can't go heel
- 27:20Speaker 1: because he never won babyface. No matter what Roman does,
- 27:25Speaker 1: you cannot call it a heel turn. If you do,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I'll tell you to your face you're wrong because he
- 27:30Speaker 1: never went babyface. So it's impossible for him to go heal.
- 27:34Speaker 1: But I don't see, you know, jay Uso actually going
- 27:36Speaker 1: full blown heel, you know, and ending the yeat stuff
- 27:39Speaker 1: like that's not gonna happen if Jimmy were to go heal,
- 27:42Speaker 1: like it to me, like, that's not even that big
- 27:44Speaker 1: of a deal, you know what I mean. So I
- 27:46Speaker 1: don't And you've reunited the usso's I'm not really sure
- 27:49Speaker 1: why you would want to split them up. So I
- 27:51Speaker 1: don't see that happening. But you know, Roman, as far
- 27:55Speaker 1: as him saying what he said here, like people say
- 27:57Speaker 1: I can't do shit by myself. So the idea here,
- 28:00Speaker 1: I guess with the character is that you know, clearly
- 28:03Speaker 1: it's bothering him that people say he cannot win without
- 28:05Speaker 1: help from his family, so he wants to go it alone.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Now you know, that's that's the path that he wants
- 28:12Speaker 1: to pursue. So Rains and Reid now are one win apiece, right,
- 28:17Speaker 1: Roman won it clash in Paris, read one here at
- 28:20Speaker 1: Crown Jewel. If they wanted to have a rubber match,
- 28:23Speaker 1: they could get one more match out of this. You know,
- 28:26Speaker 1: there's no reason that it has to stay fifty to fifty.
- 28:29Speaker 1: They have a Saturday Night's main event coming up on
- 28:31Speaker 1: November first. They could do the match there, you know,
- 28:34Speaker 1: if they wanted to. But then somebody really does. I mean,
- 28:37Speaker 1: you could always have some sort of no contest finish,
- 28:39Speaker 1: but you know somebody has to then win, and then
- 28:42Speaker 1: it becomes like Roman just beat him, or do you
- 28:45Speaker 1: have a Reid win again? I mean, you really want
- 28:47Speaker 1: to solidify or read you haven't beat Roman a second time.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I don't know if that's the direction they want to
- 28:52Speaker 1: go in here, But then you have wargames, you know
- 28:54Speaker 1: at Survivor series that can't imagine the Vision is not
- 28:57Speaker 1: going to be on the heel side in that match
- 29:00Speaker 1: and Roman will be on the baby face side. And
- 29:04Speaker 1: question then becomes who does he recruit? Well, I don't
- 29:07Speaker 1: know that he'll be the captain necessarily, but if Roman's
- 29:10Speaker 1: on the team, let's assume he would be the team captain,
- 29:13Speaker 1: because why would Roman be on a team in taking
- 29:15Speaker 1: orders from someone else who populates that team? Could it
- 29:19Speaker 1: be the ussos would see I'm punk Bey on his team.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Is John Cena going to be in Wargames? It looks
- 29:24Speaker 1: like that's not the case if rumors are to be believed,
- 29:28Speaker 1: So we'll see how the Wargames situation shakes out. After this,
- 29:36Speaker 1: we had our first of two Crown Jewel Championship matches
- 29:40Speaker 1: here on this show, this one with the women. It
- 29:43Speaker 1: was the Women's World Champion Stephanie Vicaire one on one
- 29:46Speaker 1: against the WWE Women's Champion, Tiffany Stratton. Tiffany came into
- 29:51Speaker 1: this match undefeated so far here in the year of
- 29:54Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, seventeen and zer record, which I say
- 29:59Speaker 1: that out loud, and that reminds me of Jim Ross
- 30:02Speaker 1: WrestleMania twenty five when the Undertaker beat Sean Michaels seventeen
- 30:05Speaker 1: and zero. That's what Tiffany Stratton was coming into this match.
- 30:11Speaker 1: So they were both cheered pretty much equally. Yeah, you
- 30:14Speaker 1: have two baby face champions here, I would say from
- 30:17Speaker 1: entrance to exit, I don't really recall there being a
- 30:21Speaker 1: moment in this match where either of these women up booed.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Vicaire kept getting the better of Tiffany. She tried to
- 30:27Speaker 1: submission Tiffany, though countered out with a back suplex. Stratton
- 30:32Speaker 1: followed with a handspring elbow in an Alabama slam for two.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Later on, she tried to swanton off the top and
- 30:39Speaker 1: Vicaer got her knees up. Stephanie did the Devil's Kiss
- 30:43Speaker 1: and the old version of her SVB backbreaker for a
- 30:46Speaker 1: two count. Stratton came back with the rolling sent on,
- 30:49Speaker 1: but then missed the prettiest moon salt ever, and Vicierre
- 30:53Speaker 1: followed quickly with the corkscrew splash off the top that
- 30:57Speaker 1: won her the Women's World Championship when she went one
- 31:00Speaker 1: on one at Wressell Palooza with the Oh Sky and
- 31:04Speaker 1: it was a thing of beauty. I mean, that move
- 31:06Speaker 1: is a beautiful thing. But it was a rough landing
- 31:09Speaker 1: for Tiffany because it looked like, I mean, she ate
- 31:12Speaker 1: those knees, like right in the chest, like the chest
- 31:15Speaker 1: in midsection. Stephanie's knees just landed right on top of her.
- 31:20Speaker 1: I'm sure she's fine. If anything, maybe it knocked the
- 31:22Speaker 1: wind out of her better that those knees come down,
- 31:25Speaker 1: I would say on her chest than on her face,
- 31:29Speaker 1: I would say that would not have ended well. But
- 31:32Speaker 1: she gets the clean win and Stephanie Vaquerre is the
- 31:35Speaker 1: Crown Jewel Champion. Triple h gets in the ring after
- 31:39Speaker 1: the match to present Stephanie with the Crown Jewel belt
- 31:42Speaker 1: and the Crown Jewel ring because you get a belt
- 31:44Speaker 1: and you get a ring, and he strapped the title
- 31:47Speaker 1: around her waist, and this was I wish I would
- 31:49Speaker 1: have taken a picture of this. This was hilarious. She
- 31:53Speaker 1: straps or he straps this championship around her waist and
- 31:58Speaker 1: it's I can't even say her waist. He basically strapped
- 32:01Speaker 1: it around her body. This belt took up the majority
- 32:05Speaker 1: of her upper body, let alone her midsection. This belt
- 32:09Speaker 1: is gigantic and it reminded me of when liv Morgan
- 32:13Speaker 1: won last year, and Live is even smaller than Stephanie.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Ass comical, Like I remember thinking to myself because I
- 32:20Speaker 1: guess Live was also she would have had to have
- 32:22Speaker 1: been the Women's World Champion at that point, so she
- 32:25Speaker 1: had two belts. But it's like, how does this girl
- 32:26Speaker 1: on that tip over? I mean I would love to
- 32:30Speaker 1: know how much that belt weighs. It's just it's so
- 32:36Speaker 1: just absolutely over the top in terms of how large
- 32:40Speaker 1: these belts are. But she was very emotional. Jackie Redman
- 32:44Speaker 1: got in the ring to interview her, and she said
- 32:46Speaker 1: that they all did this together. She said the title
- 32:49Speaker 1: represented all of the emotional support from the fans that
- 32:52Speaker 1: they gave her. She followed her dreams, the fans believed
- 32:55Speaker 1: in her, and now she believes in herself. Basically the
- 32:59Speaker 1: same speech that she gave after she won the Women's
- 33:02Speaker 1: World Championship. And then she posed on the ropes as
- 33:05Speaker 1: they shot off Piro over by the stage. Yes, the
- 33:10Speaker 1: belt looked like a shield. It looked like body armor,
- 33:14Speaker 1: like really gaudy body armor. They had a good wrestling
- 33:21Speaker 1: match with a clean finish, right, never a bad thing
- 33:25Speaker 1: to have a clean finish, but nothing terribly memorable. Again,
- 33:29Speaker 1: there was no story of any kind. You compared the
- 33:31Speaker 1: two Crown Jewel matches, right, polar opposites in terms of
- 33:35Speaker 1: there was a real story independent of the Crown Jewel
- 33:37Speaker 1: stuff going into the men's match, and they didn't have
- 33:40Speaker 1: anything like that here For the women. It was about
- 33:42Speaker 1: a championship that doesn't matter. It might look nice, and
- 33:45Speaker 1: I'm sure it cost a fortune to make those belts
- 33:48Speaker 1: with the gems and everything in them, but beyond that,
- 33:53Speaker 1: there was nothing here to really invest in. And it
- 33:56Speaker 1: was two babyfaces. So it's not even like good versus Evil,
- 34:00Speaker 1: We're gonna get behind this person because we really don't
- 34:03Speaker 1: want this person to win. You got two baby faces
- 34:05Speaker 1: wrestling for a championship. That doesn't matter. They're on two
- 34:08Speaker 1: separate brands. There's no prior interaction with them. There's no
- 34:12Speaker 1: real story there. So you had the match. The match
- 34:14Speaker 1: was okay, it was fine, and that's it. Nothing memorable
- 34:19Speaker 1: about it. They got short change, though, because they only
- 34:21Speaker 1: gave them about ten minutes. So yeah, while everything I
- 34:25Speaker 1: just said is true, they should have gotten a little
- 34:28Speaker 1: more time. I would have shaved time from the men's match.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I mean, there's no reason that the women's Crown Jewel
- 34:33Speaker 1: match gets ten minutes and the men's gets thirty. And
- 34:36Speaker 1: I understand the men's has more of a story, but
- 34:40Speaker 1: that's a huge disparity between those two matches. I'm not
- 34:44Speaker 1: saying that they each should have been exactly the same
- 34:46Speaker 1: amount of time, but you could have given the women
- 34:48Speaker 1: a few more minutes here. So Tiffany went unbeaten the
- 34:52Speaker 1: entire year. It was the right outcome here. It was
- 34:55Speaker 1: she's in a better position to take a loss here
- 34:58Speaker 1: than Stephanie. Stephanie just won the women World Championship not
- 35:01Speaker 1: even a month ago. You know, Tiffany has had that
- 35:04Speaker 1: championship the entire year. Basically, when did she win that title?
- 35:08Speaker 1: Did she win the title last year? I don't even
- 35:10Speaker 1: remember when she won that belt because she wrestled Charlotte
- 35:15Speaker 1: at WrestleMania for it. I don't remember when did she
- 35:22Speaker 1: win she won the title on TV? I remember that, God,
- 35:26Speaker 1: when did she win it? Trying to think I don't
- 35:31Speaker 1: know she cashed in the briefcase whenever it was. She's
- 35:35Speaker 1: had that championship for a long time. So I wouldn't
- 35:38Speaker 1: be beating Stephanie right now given that she just won
- 35:41Speaker 1: the title. But here's the thing about all of this,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I would not have put the championship on Stephanie to
- 35:47Speaker 1: begin with. You know, if Naomi was able to wrestle
- 35:51Speaker 1: her in Paris like she was originally supposed to do,
- 35:55Speaker 1: I don't believe Stephanie was winning that match. I just
- 35:58Speaker 1: I do not believe there was any chance of taking
- 36:02Speaker 1: that championship off of Naomi in her first or second
- 36:06Speaker 1: title defense. That would have been ridiculous. I guess it
- 36:08Speaker 1: would have been her second because she would have had
- 36:10Speaker 1: the match on TV with EO, and as it turned out,
- 36:13Speaker 1: neither match ended up happening, so Stephanie would have lost
- 36:17Speaker 1: and it wouldn't have killed her. And then at that point,
- 36:20Speaker 1: you can take your time building to it because you
- 36:23Speaker 1: know that championship is gonna make its way to this woman.
- 36:25Speaker 1: This woman, she's incredibly good in the ring. She's a
- 36:29Speaker 1: very good pro wrestler. She's very likable, she's very attractive
- 36:33Speaker 1: and very marketable, like checks all the boxes that you
- 36:37Speaker 1: would want to check in a star on your roster.
- 36:41Speaker 1: You take your time, you let her overcome some adversity
- 36:45Speaker 1: of some kind and build to a championship win. That's
- 36:50Speaker 1: how I would have done it, and maybe that's how
- 36:52Speaker 1: wwe would have done it. But plans changed and Naomi
- 36:56Speaker 1: had to vacate the belt and they had to put
- 36:58Speaker 1: the belt on somebody, and it was I mean, realistically,
- 37:01Speaker 1: it was gonna be Riha EO or Stephanie, and I
- 37:06Speaker 1: didn't get the impression they were ready to put that
- 37:07Speaker 1: belt back on Rhea. Ria doesn't need the belt right now,
- 37:10Speaker 1: so it was either EO or Stephanie, and I figured,
- 37:15Speaker 1: you know, you put the belt back on EO, and
- 37:16Speaker 1: then you can have EO drop it to you know whoever,
- 37:19Speaker 1: because EO probably wouldn't have it for very long. But
- 37:22Speaker 1: this is what they opted to do. So I wouldn't
- 37:24Speaker 1: have even had the championship on her in the first place,
- 37:27Speaker 1: but that's the way the things ended up happening. But
- 37:31Speaker 1: here's my fear, and this is the reason why I
- 37:34Speaker 1: don't think I would have done that. My fear is
- 37:38Speaker 1: that she won the world title. She just won the
- 37:42Speaker 1: Crown Jewel title. Right She's got two titles, she's got
- 37:45Speaker 1: a ring. Is it too much? Too soon? She's very likable,
- 37:52Speaker 1: but now that she's won everything, it is incumbent upon
- 37:57Speaker 1: them to keep things interesting when it comes to whatever
- 38:01Speaker 1: it is that she's doing on television, whatever story you're telling,
- 38:04Speaker 1: whatever opponent you want to put her in the ring with.
- 38:07Speaker 1: They're in a better position at least to put her
- 38:09Speaker 1: in the ring with some interesting people because the raw
- 38:11Speaker 1: women's division is a lot stronger right now than the
- 38:15Speaker 1: SmackDown women's division, and hopefully they'll be a rebalancing soon
- 38:19Speaker 1: and they'll take steps to correct that, especially with some
- 38:21Speaker 1: of these creative changes that we've heard about on the
- 38:24Speaker 1: Friday Show. But I'm more worried about three months from now.
- 38:29Speaker 1: You know, four months from now, as we're heading into
- 38:32Speaker 1: WrestleMania season, are we going to be talking about how
- 38:36Speaker 1: bland everything feels with Stephanie. That's my fear, because she's
- 38:41Speaker 1: been given so much so soon that she's done everything
- 38:47Speaker 1: there is to do on her side of the aisle
- 38:49Speaker 1: on that brand. How do you keep things interesting? Now?
- 38:54Speaker 1: Do you reach a point where the fans begin to
- 38:56Speaker 1: resent her or get bored of this? Maybe not. Tiffany
- 39:03Speaker 1: Stratton is still very popular. I look at this run
- 39:06Speaker 1: that Tiffany Stratton has had this year. For the most part,
- 39:09Speaker 1: it's been very uneventful. It's been very dull. She has
- 39:12Speaker 1: not had something to really sink her teeth into in
- 39:15Speaker 1: the way that she has with certain other people that
- 39:18Speaker 1: she's worked with in the past. Right, I mean, look
- 39:21Speaker 1: at what they've They had to go back to Nia Jackson,
- 39:24Speaker 1: Jade Cargill like it hurt that Bianca was not around,
- 39:29Speaker 1: but That's what I mean when I say they need
- 39:30Speaker 1: to really shore up the women's side on that roster.
- 39:33Speaker 1: But yeah, look, Tiffany is still very popular. Maybe Stephanie
- 39:37Speaker 1: will not fall victim to that, but other people have
- 39:39Speaker 1: fallen victim to that in the past. That's the problem
- 39:42Speaker 1: when you just hey, here's everything right, and now it's like,
- 39:47Speaker 1: you got to give them some sort of obstacle at
- 39:49Speaker 1: some point. You got to give them a reason to
- 39:54Speaker 1: chase after that so called brass ring that you know,
- 39:57Speaker 1: used to hear Vince McMahon talking about. But there has
- 40:00Speaker 1: to be something there or the fans are going to
- 40:02Speaker 1: turn on you, and the fans are gonna get bored
- 40:04Speaker 1: and they're gonna be like, all right, well, you know,
- 40:06Speaker 1: we've seen her beat this person in that person and
- 40:08Speaker 1: she has this belt in that belt, and it's like, well,
- 40:11Speaker 1: you know, now what So that's my only concern there.
- 40:16Speaker 1: And I look at the potential you know, challengers for her,
- 40:19Speaker 1: and it's like they're going to come back around to Rhea.
- 40:23Speaker 1: It's just inevitable. The Ria and Osca and Kyrie and
- 40:27Speaker 1: EO stuff is not over yet, certainly not with EO
- 40:30Speaker 1: and Osca. Maybe maybe Rhea moves on to something else now,
- 40:33Speaker 1: but it seems like that's going to continue, probably for
- 40:35Speaker 1: a little while longer. But you got Rhea, of course
- 40:38Speaker 1: you could always fall back on her. You've got EO
- 40:40Speaker 1: eos Off doing her own thing, right, So is Osca
- 40:44Speaker 1: Live Morgan is going to come back in a few months.
- 40:47Speaker 1: What's going to happen when Live Morgan comes back. I
- 40:49Speaker 1: think Live Morgan is going to come back and the
- 40:51Speaker 1: fans are gonna probably treat her as a babyface. You
- 40:54Speaker 1: could do something with Live and Roxanne. I guess Live
- 40:57Speaker 1: Morgan may come back and win the Royal Rumbleland Challenge
- 41:00Speaker 1: for the Championship, and I could see the people wanting
- 41:02Speaker 1: her to beat Stephanie if it comes to a Stephanie
- 41:04Speaker 1: Live match at WrestleMania next year. So it's gonna be
- 41:07Speaker 1: very interesting to see how they handle this now in
- 41:10Speaker 1: the months to come, because there's been no struggle. There
- 41:14Speaker 1: is something to be said for having that struggle, and
- 41:18Speaker 1: she hasn't had that now. Backstage, Paul Hayman congratulated Bronson
- 41:24Speaker 1: Reid on his big win. Reid was sitting there with
- 41:26Speaker 1: an ice pack on his neck after his big Roman
- 41:30Speaker 1: reigns victory, Hayman said the vision of the future now
- 41:33Speaker 1: meant Red and Breaker. Hayman also told them to stay
- 41:36Speaker 1: in the back if seth Rollins called for help tonight
- 41:39Speaker 1: in his match with Cody Rhodes, Hayman said that we
- 41:42Speaker 1: would find out who the better man was and then
- 41:44Speaker 1: he left and bron Breaker did not seem to like this.
- 41:48Speaker 1: He asked Bronson Reid, what's gonna happen if Cody wins
- 41:52Speaker 1: this match? What happens then? And Hayman heard this and
- 41:56Speaker 1: he returned to tell him, I think you both know
- 41:59Speaker 1: the answer to that question. Intrigue. What does that mean? Well,
- 42:08Speaker 1: we'll worry about that some other time, because after this,
- 42:12Speaker 1: it was time for the match that I was most
- 42:14Speaker 1: looking forward to here on this show. Funny enough, the
- 42:16Speaker 1: match with absolutely no story coming into this show is
- 42:20Speaker 1: the match that I was looking forward to the most.
- 42:23Speaker 1: And really, you know, one last time, this was the
- 42:25Speaker 1: end of an era in many ways, because you know,
- 42:27Speaker 1: Johnsen is on his way out the door, and we
- 42:30Speaker 1: know AJ Styles is not too far behind, you know,
- 42:33Speaker 1: and these guys. John Cena debuted on WWE television in
- 42:36Speaker 1: two thousand and two. AJ Styles debuted not that long
- 42:41Speaker 1: before him, right, he had a few years on Sena.
- 42:45Speaker 1: He would have ended up in WCW had WCW not
- 42:47Speaker 1: gone under. But their careers in terms of length, their
- 42:51Speaker 1: careers have mirrored each other in many ways, you know. Basically,
- 42:54Speaker 1: you know, twenty five, twenty eight years, whatever it's been,
- 42:58Speaker 1: and now that's coming to an end, and it feels
- 43:00Speaker 1: like man, you know, like and Tana Hashi is retiring,
- 43:04Speaker 1: you know, in January. So it really does feel like
- 43:07Speaker 1: we're in the middle of this sort of changing of
- 43:10Speaker 1: the guard in many ways. But we had John Cena
- 43:14Speaker 1: one on one with AJ Styles. There was no recap
- 43:18Speaker 1: video here like they had for all the other matches
- 43:20Speaker 1: because there was nothing to recap. John Cena was not
- 43:23Speaker 1: around for any television before this match or after this
- 43:27Speaker 1: match was promoted, so they came into this all knotted
- 43:30Speaker 1: up at two wins apiece. This ride here was the
- 43:33Speaker 1: rubber match of their series. Styles entered first, and he
- 43:38Speaker 1: was sporting the same trunks that he wore in the
- 43:42Speaker 1: OG days of TNA, because back then AJ wore trunks.
- 43:48Speaker 1: He didn't wear long tights and that was like the
- 43:49Speaker 1: NWA TNA days. But the blue and white trunks that
- 43:54Speaker 1: he was wearing. I mean, I don't want to say
- 43:55Speaker 1: it was the exact same pair. Maybe he had a
- 43:58Speaker 1: new one made, but those were the trunks that he wore.
- 44:02Speaker 1: On the very first episode of Impact that debuted on
- 44:05Speaker 1: Spike TV in two thousand and five, he had a
- 44:08Speaker 1: match I think opened the show against Frankie Kazarian or
- 44:12Speaker 1: I'm sorry enough Franki Kazari. He wrestled the Rohetorick Strunk,
- 44:17Speaker 1: and he wore that same gear. So that was I mean,
- 44:20Speaker 1: that's I mean, you talk about throwbacks, that's throwing it back.
- 44:23Speaker 1: And it's so weird too, because it's like the Jericho thing.
- 44:26Speaker 1: When Jericho suddenly switched over from tights to trunks. It
- 44:29Speaker 1: was jarring at first. It's like, wait, something's different here
- 44:33Speaker 1: because he had spent his entire career wearing lung tights
- 44:36Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, like the guy's getting
- 44:38Speaker 1: older and now he's wearing trunks. Usually it's the opposite,
- 44:42Speaker 1: where you get older, you're a little more out of shape.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You don't want to show off your legs anymore, so
- 44:47Speaker 1: you cover them up, right. I mean, that's it's kind
- 44:49Speaker 1: of funny, Like I think of the macho man talking
- 44:52Speaker 1: about him recently, and if you think about you know,
- 44:55Speaker 1: the early part of his career, right, he never wore
- 44:59Speaker 1: a shirt, he didn't have like a top on when
- 45:01Speaker 1: he wrestled, and then all of a sudden, like in
- 45:04Speaker 1: nineteen ninety ninety one, whatever it was, all of a sudden,
- 45:07Speaker 1: I think it was ninety one. Now he's now his
- 45:10Speaker 1: whole gear change, and it's like, yeah, of course, because
- 45:12Speaker 1: he's not on the same shit that he was on before,
- 45:15Speaker 1: and he's getting older. So anyway, it was a little weird,
- 45:19Speaker 1: but that's how he started his career. Now, John Cena
- 45:22Speaker 1: came out, he got a monster reaction. He told Stu
- 45:25Speaker 1: the cameraman that this was the last international show of
- 45:29Speaker 1: his career. In the ring, Alicia Taylor introduced Sena, but
- 45:34Speaker 1: before she could do the same for AJ, Sina stopped her,
- 45:38Speaker 1: handed her a piece of paper and told her to
- 45:40Speaker 1: go ahead and read what was on that paper. This
- 45:43Speaker 1: is the intro that Sena himself, I assumed Sena himself
- 45:47Speaker 1: wrote for AJ Styles. She called him the definition of
- 45:51Speaker 1: total NonStop action, the ace and undisputed boss of the
- 45:56Speaker 1: Bullet Club. It is our honor as fans and my
- 46:00Speaker 1: honor as an opponent to see if he can beat
- 46:03Speaker 1: up John Cena one final time. He is the face
- 46:07Speaker 1: that runs the place, the phenomenal AJ styles and Style smiled.
- 46:13Speaker 1: He seemed caught off guard by that intro, so that
- 46:17Speaker 1: that was very nice. That was a nice moment there,
- 46:23Speaker 1: Alexander says about Savage. His gear changed because his gear changed, Yes,
- 46:30Speaker 1: yes it did. Yeah, yep. Macho wasn't taking his vitamins anymore.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you what though. He was taking his vitamins
- 46:42Speaker 1: in the late stages there of WCW. He was making
- 46:46Speaker 1: up for lost time, is what he was doing. I'm
- 46:49Speaker 1: sure that didn't help his heart. So they rang the
- 46:52Speaker 1: bell and immediately we got a holy shit chant. Then
- 46:55Speaker 1: they got a dueling chance for Sina and AJ, back
- 46:59Speaker 1: and forth. Sena set up for a five knuckle shuffle.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Styles though stop that with a well placed kick. Seen
- 47:07Speaker 1: it came right back with a slam, and he did
- 47:09Speaker 1: do the five knuckle shuffle, and he followed that up
- 47:12Speaker 1: with an attitude adjustment for a near fall. Granted, we
- 47:14Speaker 1: were only five minutes into this match and we already
- 47:18Speaker 1: had an attitude adjustment here. Styles head in Ushi Garochi
- 47:22Speaker 1: right across the knee, but then came up selling his
- 47:24Speaker 1: knee and Michael Cole even called it by that name,
- 47:29Speaker 1: and he credited and I quote my buddy Morrow for
- 47:33Speaker 1: teaching him how to pronounce it. Scena paid homage to
- 47:36Speaker 1: the Miz then with a skull crushing finale for a
- 47:39Speaker 1: near fall, and this was the first of many homages
- 47:42Speaker 1: from both men here in this match. This is what
- 47:44Speaker 1: this match will be most remembered for is all of
- 47:48Speaker 1: the different moves that were stolen. I will say this though,
- 47:52Speaker 1: if you're gonna steal someone else's move, at least make
- 47:54Speaker 1: it look good. And John Cena was making it look good.
- 47:58Speaker 1: He didn't, I mean, he did justice to the moves
- 48:00Speaker 1: at least that he was pulling off. Here, Stiles hit
- 48:03Speaker 1: a torture rag bomb for a near fall of his
- 48:05Speaker 1: own styles, then hit a scorpion death drop for another
- 48:10Speaker 1: near fall. Cole acknowledged that it was an homage to
- 48:13Speaker 1: another one of AJ's great opponents. He said that without
- 48:17Speaker 1: mentioning the name Sting, that's funny. All the people that
- 48:22Speaker 1: Sena was paying homage to, they mentioned their name. All
- 48:25Speaker 1: the people that AJ was paying homage to, I don't
- 48:27Speaker 1: think a single name was mentioned. That's how it goes.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Sena caught Styles in the STFU, which I will say
- 48:35Speaker 1: looked fucking horrendous. I mean this, it looked terrible. Styles
- 48:41Speaker 1: escaped and put Sena in a cross face. Sena got
- 48:44Speaker 1: out of that. He put aj in a camel clutch,
- 48:48Speaker 1: or you might say the accolade former WrestleMania opponents in
- 48:55Speaker 1: Russev that actually got chance of Rusev Day from some
- 48:59Speaker 1: of the fans crowd. Styles escaped and he puts seen
- 49:03Speaker 1: it in what Michael Cole assumed what and this he
- 49:05Speaker 1: called it this what Michael Cole assumed was a co
- 49:08Speaker 1: Qina clutch, and he said this with that ever mentioning
- 49:12Speaker 1: Samoa Joe by name. After that, Styles went for a
- 49:15Speaker 1: calf crusher, but Seena countered into not just the Boston crab.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Cole said, that's the walls of Jericho and the crowd,
- 49:25Speaker 1: you know, broke out and why two Jay chance. So
- 49:28Speaker 1: in case you're wondering, and nobody should have been wondering
- 49:32Speaker 1: this to begin with, because you know, a lot of
- 49:34Speaker 1: people got very sick of seeing Chris Jericho in aw
- 49:38Speaker 1: and you know, just the learning tree and it's just
- 49:41Speaker 1: after a while absence does make the heart grow fonder.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Sometimes it's better to go away for self preservation. It's
- 49:49Speaker 1: better to leave and go away sometimes and then come
- 49:52Speaker 1: back than to never leave it all, because how could
- 49:54Speaker 1: they miss you if you don't leave. And I'll bet
- 49:57Speaker 1: you like the minute that Jericho returns WWE, and I
- 50:01Speaker 1: fully believe he is coming back to WWE early next year.
- 50:05Speaker 1: The minute he comes back, he's going to be treated
- 50:08Speaker 1: like a god. That first time back, he's going to
- 50:10Speaker 1: get this monster reaction because it's been years since people
- 50:13Speaker 1: have seen him in WWE. You know, I want to
- 50:16Speaker 1: say it might have been that very first Saudi Arabia
- 50:18Speaker 1: show in the Greatest Royal Rumble. That may have been
- 50:21Speaker 1: the last WWE match that he was in. So that
- 50:25Speaker 1: first time back at least or first couple of times,
- 50:27Speaker 1: of course, he's going to get a great reaction. But
- 50:29Speaker 1: if you were wondering will he or won't he, this
- 50:32Speaker 1: should silence any and all doubt about that. Of course
- 50:35Speaker 1: you will. He'll get a heroes welcome when he comes back.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Styles countered out into a calf crusher. Sena escaped the hold.
- 50:47Speaker 1: He went for the STFU, which he gave up when
- 50:49Speaker 1: Styles got close to the robes, Stiles hit Sena with
- 50:53Speaker 1: the Styles clash for a earfall. Aj went for a
- 50:56Speaker 1: phenomenal forearm, but Sena caught him in position for a
- 51:01Speaker 1: Sister Abigail and that got a rise out of the
- 51:06Speaker 1: crowd big time. And Sena leaned over and he kissed
- 51:10Speaker 1: Aj on the forehead and he dropped him with Sister Abigail.
- 51:15Speaker 1: When I say that he was paying respect to these moves,
- 51:19Speaker 1: he had a pretty fucking good Sister Abigail, some good
- 51:22Speaker 1: velocity there as he took Aj down to the mat.
- 51:25Speaker 1: He got a great near fall out of that one.
- 51:27Speaker 1: The fans went nuts for the Bray Wyatt tribute. They
- 51:30Speaker 1: even pulled out their phones. We got the fireflies in
- 51:32Speaker 1: the crowd and thank you. As a thank you Wyatt,
- 51:36Speaker 1: I think they were chanting, and it looked like Seena,
- 51:38Speaker 1: even in the ring, was kind of taking a moment
- 51:41Speaker 1: to admire it and kind of take it all in.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Styles then hit a Christopher Daniels Angels wings for a
- 51:49Speaker 1: near fall. Seena came back with a pedigree attempt, but
- 51:52Speaker 1: Styles countered that with the fade to black a la
- 51:58Speaker 1: Frankie Kazarian. Although you may know that move these days
- 52:02Speaker 1: as the dead Eye from one Hangman page the aw
- 52:07Speaker 1: World Champion. I didn't hear any cowboy shit chance, though
- 52:12Speaker 1: I did hear holy shit chance after this, but I
- 52:14Speaker 1: did not hear them say cowboy shit. Sena came back
- 52:18Speaker 1: and hit the Randy Orton draping DDT, to which Cole
- 52:21Speaker 1: shouted vintage John Cena, which doesn't really make any sense, Cole,
- 52:30Speaker 1: and then he hit the vipers pose. Styles got up
- 52:33Speaker 1: and Sena dropped him with an RKO, and as soon
- 52:35Speaker 1: as he hit that RKO the place exploded, but he
- 52:39Speaker 1: only got two now. At that point, Sena backed into
- 52:42Speaker 1: the corner he was setting up for the Orton punt kick.
- 52:46Speaker 1: As he came in for the kick, Styles moved out
- 52:48Speaker 1: of the way. He hit Sena with an attitude adjustment
- 52:50Speaker 1: of his own, again only for two and a half.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Styles started to do that you can't see me bit
- 52:56Speaker 1: to Sena, but Sena reached up and he goozled him.
- 53:00Speaker 1: I have him by the throat, Undertaker Style, and then
- 53:03Speaker 1: he lifted aj and slammed him with a choke slam
- 53:06Speaker 1: for a near fall. So a little nod there to
- 53:09Speaker 1: the Boneyard match at WrestleMania between Styles and Undertaker, And
- 53:14Speaker 1: at this point the crowd picked up on. I mean,
- 53:16Speaker 1: how could you not right pick up on what's going
- 53:18Speaker 1: on here with all these moves, So the crowd's like, oh,
- 53:22Speaker 1: this might be the new thing now for however many
- 53:24Speaker 1: mattress Sena has left. Oh, since we're kind of going
- 53:28Speaker 1: back in the greatest hits, we want to see him
- 53:32Speaker 1: do a six y one nine of all the fucking
- 53:35Speaker 1: I mean, they could have the Phoenix splash. I mean,
- 53:37Speaker 1: it could have been worse, but they start chanting six
- 53:39Speaker 1: y one nine right, and I'm sure in his head
- 53:42Speaker 1: scene is like, oh, we got improvise here, you know,
- 53:47Speaker 1: And I'm like, I gotta see this, Like this will
- 53:50Speaker 1: either be if he actually does this, this will either
- 53:52Speaker 1: be the greatest thing I've ever seen or the worst,
- 53:55Speaker 1: like one or the other. And sure enough, immediately after
- 53:58Speaker 1: the fans begin channing six to one nine and again
- 54:02Speaker 1: just the absurdity of it is just hilarious to me.
- 54:06Speaker 1: But right after that, he drops Styles onto the middle
- 54:10Speaker 1: rope in perfect position for a six one nine, and
- 54:15Speaker 1: I'm like, son of a bitch, I am seated. I
- 54:19Speaker 1: have to see this. There's no fucking what. You got
- 54:22Speaker 1: two guys in the ring who were in no position
- 54:24Speaker 1: to be doing a six to one nine. Especially Sena.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Styles is more athletically gifted than Sena when it comes
- 54:30Speaker 1: to pulling off some of these moves. Even Aj Styles,
- 54:33Speaker 1: it's a movie he's never done before. He's forty eight
- 54:36Speaker 1: years old. He ain't doing a fucking six to one nine.
- 54:38Speaker 1: And if AJ Styles is not doing a six y
- 54:40Speaker 1: one nine, then John Cena sure as hell ain't doing
- 54:42Speaker 1: a six one nine. But damn it, it looks like
- 54:44Speaker 1: he's gonna try. So he hits the ropes and as
- 54:47Speaker 1: soon as he comes off, aj cuts him off with
- 54:49Speaker 1: a clothesline. And that was the only time in this
- 54:51Speaker 1: entire match that Aj Styles actually got booed by this
- 54:55Speaker 1: crowd because they were deprived of seeing either the greatest
- 54:58Speaker 1: or the worst ever delivered in the history of wrestling.
- 55:04Speaker 1: It could still happen. There's rumors of Sena and Dom.
- 55:08Speaker 1: I'm just saying there could be more chance of sixty
- 55:11Speaker 1: one nine. Sena may end up having his chance at
- 55:13Speaker 1: some point. So Styles followed with a springboard four point fifty,
- 55:19Speaker 1: but there was no pin attempt. He tuned up the
- 55:22Speaker 1: band instead, and he hit a picture perfect Sean Michael's
- 55:27Speaker 1: sweet Chin music and only got a two and a
- 55:30Speaker 1: half count. Styles removed his elbow pad and he hit
- 55:36Speaker 1: the phenomenal forearm, but again only got two. Seena hit
- 55:40Speaker 1: an attitude adjustment out of nowhere for an earfall. Scena
- 55:43Speaker 1: then sat Styles on the top turn buckle and he
- 55:46Speaker 1: went to the middle rope and Sena tried to get
- 55:48Speaker 1: Styles on his shoulders. Styles instead knocked him off the ropes.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Seena's on his feet now and Aj comes diving off
- 55:55Speaker 1: at Sena with a crossbody, and Sena rolls through and
- 55:59Speaker 1: then he hit Styles with a tombstone pile driver and
- 56:04Speaker 1: Sena immediately hoists him back up and he hits one
- 56:07Speaker 1: final AA to put him away and pin Aj Styles.
- 56:12Speaker 1: This is about twenty seven minutes or so into this match.
- 56:17Speaker 1: After the match was over seeing, it helped Aj to
- 56:19Speaker 1: his feet and the two men hugged and they raised
- 56:21Speaker 1: each other's arms before Styles left the ring so that
- 56:24Speaker 1: Scena could celebrate all by himself. Sena left the ring,
- 56:27Speaker 1: he kissed his wife at ringside, and he headed to
- 56:31Speaker 1: the back. This was an excellent match with plenty of
- 56:36Speaker 1: callbacks and tributes to some of their greatest rivals. If
- 56:40Speaker 1: it was anybody else doing this, okay, if it was
- 56:42Speaker 1: any other circumstance, if it was anybody else spamming finishers,
- 56:47Speaker 1: spamming other people, not even their own, just like a
- 56:50Speaker 1: fucking video game. And I think Wade Barrett even made
- 56:53Speaker 1: the car or maybe cold it. But they made the
- 56:55Speaker 1: comment at one point that it's like a video game
- 56:57Speaker 1: where you sort of create your own wrestlerroom program them
- 57:00Speaker 1: to use every fucking finishing move from the existing roster.
- 57:04Speaker 1: That's what this was. This was like the video game
- 57:06Speaker 1: match in some ways of the show. Anybody else does this,
- 57:11Speaker 1: it's probably gonna get raked over the coals, you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: and it's gonna be like, all right, we can we
- 57:15Speaker 1: not do this please. But in this case, this is
- 57:19Speaker 1: a little bit different because it wasn't just that these
- 57:22Speaker 1: two were relying on going out there and just spamming moves,
- 57:26Speaker 1: you know, from other people. Here you have two men
- 57:29Speaker 1: who are in the twilight of their careers. Okay, Sena
- 57:33Speaker 1: is down after this show here, Sena is down to
- 57:37Speaker 1: the final four appearances and even flashed the four like
- 57:42Speaker 1: the horsemen when the match was over. You've got Boston
- 57:47Speaker 1: on November tenth, so we're not seeing him for another month,
- 57:51Speaker 1: by the way, Boston on November tenth, Madison Square Garden
- 57:55Speaker 1: on November seventeenth, Survivor Series on November twenty ninth, Saturday
- 58:00Speaker 1: Night's Main Event on December thirteenth, and that's it. So
- 58:04Speaker 1: there's a lot of guys on that roster that he's
- 58:06Speaker 1: not going to have the chance to work with, like
- 58:10Speaker 1: the Miz, like russev Right, like Edge when he busted
- 58:15Speaker 1: out Edges moves at was it in the Logan Paul match,
- 58:19Speaker 1: might have been Clash in Paris, maybe SummerSlam. So there's
- 58:23Speaker 1: a lot of guys that he's not going to have
- 58:25Speaker 1: the chance to work with. And this is his way
- 58:26Speaker 1: of saying thank you, you know, It's like it's like
- 58:28Speaker 1: a wink and a nod. And you see what Copeland did,
- 58:31Speaker 1: by the way, the aw pay per viewed all out
- 58:34Speaker 1: when he was using John Cena's moves, right, This is
- 58:36Speaker 1: just their way of sort of paying it back and
- 58:38Speaker 1: showing respect to each other. And as far as you
- 58:43Speaker 1: know AJ Styles is concerned, yeah, I would say that
- 58:45Speaker 1: there's zero chance that aj Styles if he's true and
- 58:49Speaker 1: honest about retiring next year, possibly as soon as WrestleMania.
- 58:55Speaker 1: He's not going to have the chance to work with
- 58:57Speaker 1: Samoa Joe, He's not going to have the chance to
- 58:59Speaker 1: work with a Frankie Kazarian or Christopher Daniels, and he's
- 59:02Speaker 1: certainly not going to be working with Sting. So was
- 59:05Speaker 1: there way to just, you know, again, tip that and
- 59:08Speaker 1: have some fun with it And the fans were having
- 59:10Speaker 1: fun with it, and there's nothing wrong with that, So
- 59:13Speaker 1: it's just added to the match. It added to the
- 59:15Speaker 1: fun of the match. But you consider the names they
- 59:19Speaker 1: paid tribute to tonight, and I was thinking about this also,
- 59:24Speaker 1: like aj right, Sting, Kazarian, Daniels, Right, Daniels goes back
- 59:30Speaker 1: a long way too, to those the turn of the century,
- 59:33Speaker 1: really late nineties, turn of the century, Samoa Joe and
- 59:38Speaker 1: then seen It right Miz and Russev And in the
- 59:42Speaker 1: past he's paid tribute to other wrestlers as well. But
- 59:45Speaker 1: they they kind of run the gamut, you know, over
- 59:50Speaker 1: the last couple of decades, and it just illustrates how
- 59:54Speaker 1: long their careers have stretched. These guys have been around
- 59:58Speaker 1: for a long time and it's a weird thing for
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: someone like me, because I've been a fan of wrestling
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: since nineteen eighty seven, okay, and I was very young
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: at that point, but I would say those were probably
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: my earliest memories of wrestling from around that time period,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: like WrestleMania three right around then. So I grew up
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: and I was a big fan of the Golden Era
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: of wrestling right mid to late eighties, early nineties. Then
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: you got the late nineties and the Monday Night War
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: and the Attitude era and all that. It's just this
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: really fun time to be a fan. And then that
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: bled into the Ruthless Aggression era, and that's really where
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: while there was a lot of great stuff during that era,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: it was really from that point and beyond that, once
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: we got past the SmackDown six era and all that,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: where it's like, all right, you know, this stuff doesn't
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: really compare to what came before it. But now we're
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: sitting here and it's over twenty fucking years since the
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Ruthless Aggression era, and so guys like John's are now
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: looked at as the old crusty veterans, you know, And
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I'm just sitting here and going, man, I'm still thinking
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: about you know, fucking Randy Savage and Jake Roberts and
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Brett Hart and Legion of Doom and Demolition and all
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: those guys. And I know I'm not the only one,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: but it just shows you, like time passes by quickly,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you know, the errors go by, and you don't really
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: you don't spend your waking hours of every day thinking
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: about it, and then one day you just turn around.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: It's like, holy shit, I can't believe that you know,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: this much time has gone by, But that's who these
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: guys are now. Now, these guys are the legends. You know.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: These guys are, you know, the old guys, and it's
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: just crazy. It's crazy how the errors come and go,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: you know, And when these guys are gone, the people
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: that you see on TV right now, there will be
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: plenty of fans who are watching wrestling right now in
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: ten fifteen years, who we're going to look at Roman
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Reigns the same way, and Drew McIntyre the same way,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: and Kevin Owens the same way. One day, Logan Paul,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: he'll be looked at that way too. It's pretty incredible.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Sena versus Stone Cold is missed. Well, that's you know,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: it's one of those kind of Battle of the Eras
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: matches that just kind of passed us by. See, I
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: never thought that would have been a good match to
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: do anyway, Like of all the old dream matches that
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you could have done, were like they kind of just
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: missed each other. Sena and Stone Cold, that would not
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: have been very high on my list. I'm sure it
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: would have been for some people, but eh, I don't know.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Maybe it would have been good, but that wouldn't have
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: been near the top of my list. These two, though, again,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: they always had a chemistry in the ring that was great.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I've never seen them had a single bad match in
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: my entire life. I thought this was a fitting end
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to what ended up being a classic rivalry, and I'm
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: very happy for not only Sena that he had the
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: chance here at the tail end of this run to
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: sort of course correct and show people what he can
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: really do, but Aj styles too, because let's be honest here,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Aj the last several years in WWE has felt wasted,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: like they could have been doing a lot more with him,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: and now we know that he's hanging it up soon too,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: So I'm glad he got to have a match like
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: this where he can go out there and steal the
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: show and get the kind of reaction that he got here,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you know, tonight. And I can only hope. I can
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: only hope that WWE will treat, you know, the end
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: of AJ's career in the way that they are now
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: treating this last leg of John Cena's run, and not
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the first half of it, because I would not trust
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: WWE to do an AJ Styles retirement tour next year,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you know, a retirement program heading into WrestleMania. Sure, a
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: retirement run these people, not a chance that think about
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: like this was John Cena, like one of the biggest
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: stars of all time in the history of this company,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and somehow they bungle the good portion of this. What
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: do you think they would do to a guy who
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: actually did not make his name in WWA. I don't
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: want to find out, but for AJ's sake, I hope
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: they give him a nice sendoff. We had Rhea Ripley,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: and we had Eosky against Oscar and Kyrie Sayne. This
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: was a homecoming for Rhea on what just so happens
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: to be her twenty ninth birthday. I didn't even realize
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: that I already figured Ria was gonna win anyway. Then
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I realized, oh shit, it's on her birthday. There's no
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: fucking chance that this woman is losing here. But think
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: about what she has already accomplished. Think about what she
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: has accomplished, and think about like how popular she is.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: She's not even thirty yet. Wild So Oscar and Kyrie
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: they attacked the baby faces right at the bell, everybody
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: got involved. EO, though, was alone with Oscar. When the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: dust settled, EO got the better of their exchange. She
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: hit Oscar with a crazy suicide dive out to the floor.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: EO dodged an attack by Kyrie, but that allowed Oscar
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: to then shove EO into the ring post. And you know,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: the way they worked this match was kind of smart
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: and it makes sense. They kept Rhea out of it
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: as long as they possibly could not, unlike the way
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: they booked the tag match at Russell Paloozo. Yet see
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I'm punking aj styles against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: How do you do a match like that? You keep
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: aj aut as long as possible, right, and you just
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: get people like salivating to see this woman finally tag
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: into this match, and then when she does right, it
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: blows the roof off the place. That's kind of how
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: they work this, right. The Heels got the heat on
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: EO for a long time. Every time she would try
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: to go for a tag, they would pull her away,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: and Rhea was just on the apron begging for a
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: tag and waiting for a tag, and the people wanted
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: her to get the hot tag. So finally she gets
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: it and the place goes nuts and Kyrie cut her
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: off actually pretty quick, and the Heels took over until
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Ripley nailed Kyrie with a big boot. Rhea gave Kyrie
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: a razor's edge at one point that just absolutely folded
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: this poor girl up, I mean like a freaking accordion,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: only for EO to follow with a missile drop kick.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: As soon as Kyrie kind of stumbled back to her feet,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: she got blasted by a missile drop kick off the
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: top rope. EO went for recover, only got a two count.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: So Kyrie gave Leo and Alabama slam much safer than
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: the one that she gave on Raw on Monday Night
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and knocked Rhea Ripley off the apron. Leo brought Kyrie
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: off the top with an arm drag and went to
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: the top herself, but Osca distracted her. Kyrie then knocked
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: down EO and drove Ripley into the steel steps. EO
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: came back and she wiped out both Kabuki warriors with
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: an Asai moon salt on the floor. She followed with
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: a proper moon salt on Kyrie in the ring, but
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Oscar broke up the cover. Osca then held Ripley almost
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: in like a scorpion death drop type position so that
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Kyrie can come off the top with an insane elbow. EO,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: though was able to break up the cover. Ripley dropped
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Osca face first on the top turn buckle and then
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: pulled Oska up for an avalanche riptide attempt she was
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: attempting here when Kyrie tagged herself in. Ripley ended up
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: hitting Kyrie with the riptide instead, and then she tagged
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: in EO so that she could hit her over the
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: moon salt. I like that, even though she's in her
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: home country, in front of her family and friends and
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: her home people, her countrymen and women, she allowed her
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: good friend EO to pick up the winning fall here
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: in this match, and EO hits the moon salt and
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: she puts it away for the baby Faces, and Michael
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Cole said, you know, in reference to this toxic relationship
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: here with Oscar and Kyrie, you know what they say,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: blind faith in your leaders will get you killed. Yes,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: yes it will. Look at Michael Cole dropping knowledge here.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: So Kyrie took the bullet for Oscar. How is Oscar
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: going to respond to that? Now? It would be very
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: easy for them to get their heat back. All you
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: gotta do on Monday is have OSCA once again go
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: ahead and missed EO in the face, or at least
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: try to, because that really is the goal here, right,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: The goal is to get us to a match between
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: EO Sky and OSCA. And you have a show coming
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: up on November first, Saturday Night's main Event that would
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: be a good place to do that match. So I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: have to assume that we're going to be getting that
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: match before we get the Survivor Series, and they're not
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: going to do a match between them at Survivor Series.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Doesn't make sen. I mean, it would make more sense
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: if they end up in the women's war Games match.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: So if we get that match with EO and OSCA,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: even Saturday Nights Made Event is still several weeks away,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: But to me, that would make sense instead of just
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: kind of doing it on TV, that they would do
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: it on a show like that. But they have, you know, again,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: more runway here, I think with this feud, so we're
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: not done yet. Does Rhea move on to something else
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: and kind of leaves EO to her own with Oscar
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: and Kyrie? No, I don't think so necessarily because why
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: would she do that. You know, she wants to back
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: up her friend. So I think that we'll get more
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: probably with all four of them. I enjoyed the match.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: You know, Rihea got the big reaction for her entrance
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: and her hot tags and all the big spots that
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: you would expect. But it's very interesting. I felt like
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: during the match itself, I felt like it was EO
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: who was getting more of the chance. Right. The crowd
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: was every bit as much into Eo Sky because again,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: she's super likable. They really, I mean, between EO and Stephanie,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: they have two babyfaces on that women's raw roster that
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: are extremely likable. And with EO, she gets a reaction
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: with everything she does pretty much every time she's out there,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: so I mean they make a great combination. Here is
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: a big win for the baby Face is a clean
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: win for the baby Faces. I don't think anybody should
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: have really expected her to lose in Perth. Why would
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: that mean is Vince McMahon secretly running the show? Still?
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a minute, Pale, you mean to
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: tell me not only are we in her home country,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: but it's her birthday. We got a beat her, It'll
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: be great heat. Of course, Ria was winning in Perth.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: The only thing that surprised me is that we got
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: to Perth and Ria wasn't challenging for the championship. That's
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the only thing that surprised me, because when they first
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: announced this, I thought, for sure, if not at Crown Jewel,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: then on the Raw after Rio would be getting a
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: shot of the Women's World Championship. And I don't know,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: maybe you know what, I maintain that that is what
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: we would have gotten had Naomi now gotten pregnant. I
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: think it would have been maybe not on this show
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: because it's champion against champion, but I think it would
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: have been Naomi and Rhea on Raw this Monday, because
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: how do you not build to that, you know what
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I mean? Like, what would Naomi or who would Naomi
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: be feuding with otherwise, I still believe that would have
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: been the destination most likely. But Ria in Perth, I mean,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: come on, man, I mean you could not have honestly
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: expected her to lose here. This week's episode is sponsored
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: by Express VPN. You probably browsed in incognito mode before
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: most of us have, but incognito may not be entirely true.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: In fact, Google recently settled a five billion with a
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: b dollar lawsuit after being accused of secretly tracking users
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: in incognito mode. And what was Google's defense? Incognito does
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: not mean invisible. All of your online activity is still
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: one hundred percent visible to a ton of third parties.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: That is, unless you use ExpressVPN. So here's the deal.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Without ExpressVPN, these third parties can still see every website
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: you visit, even in incognito mode. That includes your Internet
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: service provider, your mobile network provider, even your employer potentially
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: if you're browsing your work on their Wi Fi network.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: ExpressVPN reroutes one hundred percent of your traffic through secure,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: encrypted servers, so third parties can't see your browsing history.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: ExpressVPN is the best VPN because it hides your IP address,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: making it extremely difficult for third parties to track your
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: online activity. It's also easy to use. With a tap
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: of a button in the app, you can choose your
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: location wherever you want that to be, and boom, you're protected.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: It's just that simple. It also works on all of

- 1:12:41Speaker 1: means that you can stay private even on the go,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: not just at home. It's one thing to protect yourself
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: when you're browsing in your bedroom, but why should that
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: be any different in your hotel room or at the airport.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: There's a reason ExpressVPN is ranked number one by top

- 1:13:06Speaker 1: with me, or I've got my tablet. I make sure
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: that I've got the Express VPN app installed and active,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: because it gives me the peace of mind to know

- 1:13:40Speaker 1: solo Monster. And they closed with the Men's Crown Jewel
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: Championship match between Cody Rhoades and Seth Rollins. Rollins wore
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: the watch that Cody gifted it. See, his watch was
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: a lot nicer than mine. Nobody gifted me this watch.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I bought this for myself. But I will tell you
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: what I don't do. I don't take the watch off
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: each night when I put it on the charger. I
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: don't do it as dramatically as Seth Rollins did here
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: because when he got down to the ring and now
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: this is the watch, I should point out, this is
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the watch that Cody gifted to him in Philadelphia after
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: WrestleMania last year, when Cody finished the story and Rollins
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: was his shield right and he provided the assist so
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: that he could win the WWE Championship, But he very
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: dramatically removed the watch as he disrobed here in the ring,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: and he also had some yellow dusty polka dots going
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: down the length of his tights. Early in the match,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: the crowd chanted wanker or wanka at Rollins, which he
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: was not very happy about. They had called him a
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: wanker on SmackDown Friday Night as well when Cody was talking.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: So leaves the ring. He goes over to the announced
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: desk and he's putting the blame on them, and specifically
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: he's putting the blame on Wade Barrett for this for
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: some reason. And Cole is kind of in between them,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: and he gives Michael Cole a shove and Cole's like,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: what are you doing? Calm down, you know, and all
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: this stuff. So now he's assaulting the announcers and Cody
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: attacks him from behind as Rollins is quarreling here with Cole. Anyway,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Cody gets draped over the barricade by Seth. Seth delivers
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: a double foot stomp to the shoulder. Later on, Rhodes
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: went for a disaster kick. Rolins, though ran up behind
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: him and he had a set out power bomb for two.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Rollins targeted the arm in the shoulder and at one
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: point he did the star dust cartwheel and pose, you know,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: a little pose that I can't do it, but you
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: know the star dust pose mocking him. He's mocking this man.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: And then Rollins did some dusty jabs. Cody responded with
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: jabs of his own. Rollins applied to figure four and
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Road struggled for a while before finally getting out of it.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Cody fought back and hit a vertebraker and Cody then
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: after that landed a disaster kick, a bionic elbow, a
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: suicide dive, and a Cody cutter, which is quite the
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: flurry of offense. It still was not enough to hit
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: a three count, though he got two and a half
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: out of it, but it still wasn't enough. She's still angry.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: She's still angry, isn't she? Jeremy Rose with a fifteen
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: dollars Kyrie super chat oscar is going to be very angry.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: I can only imagine the Kyrie that she's going to
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: let out on Raw this Monday. Kyrie is the one
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: who took the losing fall in that Tech team match.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Can you imagine how loud that's going to be? Thank you, Jeremy,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: So Rollins he avoided another does aster a kick attempt
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: quickly followed that up with a pedigree for a two count.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: You know, we ought to make a list. This could
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: be a good exercise here. We ought to make a
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: list of all of the old finishing moves that used
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: to mean something in wrestling, and now they mean absolutely
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: fuck all, because the super kick and the pedigree would
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: be number one and two. I think at the top
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: of that list, Like these moves used to be. Like
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: when these guys would hit these moves, they were done right.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: It was rare people would kick out, but it was
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: rare that people would kick out of it. And now
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: especially the pedigree, Like, first of all, it doesn't even
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: look good. It didn't look good honestly for the last
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: probably fucking ten years that Triple H was actually using
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: it himself, just kind of lets go when the guy
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: just falls down. But man, I mean it's it's just
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: another move. Man. I can't even call it a set
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: up move. It's just what is it setting up for.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: It's not setting up for anything. It's not setting up
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: for the finishes Canadian Destroyer, thank you, Except Penta does
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: use it as a finisher in WWE, which I appreciate.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: So I try to forget about all the times in
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: aw where he just used it and it you know,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: people just got right back up from it. I'm looking
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: at you, Orange Cassidy. But seriously, those two moves would
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: have to be at or near the very top of
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the list. So Cody tried to cross roads. Rollins hit
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: one of his own for two Rhoades, avoided a Phoenix
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: splash but missed a super Cody Cutter in spectacular fashion.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: This was actually hilarious, so Cody he went flying. This
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: was almost as hilarious as that match with Cody and
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown that time when they each went
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: for something and they both missed and they just kind
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: of flew by. They like passed by each other through
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: mid air like two passing ships in the night, and
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: just crashed and burned. This wasn't quite as funny as that.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: But Cody went up for this super Cody cutter and
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: nobody was there. Rollins had moved and Cody he got
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: some height and he just splatted on the mat. Rollins
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: then immediately hit a curb stump but only got a
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: near fall. So at that point Rollins went outside over
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: to the timekeeper's area and he sees the watch. The
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: watch is sitting right next to the timekeeper Berkeley Berkeley Hoptman,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the son of a tugboat two, sees the watch and
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: he picks it up and he places the watch around
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: his fist, right right around his fingers, which I think
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: is the same thing that John Cena did to Cody
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: when Sena kicked him in the dick and turned heel
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: an elimination chamber, right. I remember Michael Cole was like, oh,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: he hit him with brass nuts. It's like, it's a
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: fucking watch, Cole. So he puts the watch around his
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: fingers and he he goes back to the ring, but
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: before he gets in the ring, he's having this crisis
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: of conscience and he's struggling with this and should I
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: or should not? And he takes the watch off and
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: he places it on the mat right in the corner
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: of the ring, so he's not going to use it right.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: But he gets back in the ring, and as soon
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: as he gets back in the ring, Cody is there
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: waiting for him, and he meets him with a Cody
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: cutter and a crossroads and he only gets a near fall,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: so Cody ended up trapped upside down. After this in
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: the corner in a tree of woe, Rollins goes to
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: the ropes in the far corner, same side of the ring,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: but in the far corner, and he hit a great
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: coast to coast diving headbutt that honestly looked like it
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: took as much out of him as it did out
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: of Cody. Rollins followed with a Spanish fly off the
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: top rope, and then he hit a manhandle slam to
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: Cody for a near fall. Both men found themselves perched
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: on the top rope yet again, but this time Cody
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: delivered an avalanche Crossroads. You know what, we got to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: add another move to that list, the crossroads. When was
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: the last time we saw Cody win with one crossroads?
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: He's the WWE champion. If ever, there was a finish
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: in this company to protect like they protect the tsunami splash,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: they protect the robe kick. Why are you not protecting
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the fucking champions finish? Why does it take three fucking
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: crossroads to win most of his matches? Here and so
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: here he hits a super crossroads right off the ropes
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: and he goes for the cover, and of course Seth
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: kicks out and to me, that was one fall too many. Now,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I will say, CNNAJ, they had a lot of near
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: falls in that match too, But I like that match
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: right that. It just it worked there. I can excuse
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: it in that match, I cannot excuse that here this
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: was And I feel like we in many of these
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: big main events where they do go overboard sometimes with
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: the near falls. We see it in both companies way
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: too often, but there's always that one moment, that one
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: move where it's like, eh, I can't tell you why,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: but like that right there, that was too much for me.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Like that, That's that was the issue I really started
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: having with like Adam Cole matches where it's like I've
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: seen Adam Cole matches with tons of near falls and
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: it's like this these great epic battles and the crowds
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: going nuts for it. But then I would see these
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: matches where it's like, what the fuck are we doing here?
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Like I've lost count of how many near falls we've
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: had here. It's ridiculous and it kind of takes me
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: out of the match. I thought this was this was
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: the one right here. I don't know how you guys
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: felt about that, but for me, an avalanche crossroads. That
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: needs to be the end of the match, and I
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: knew that Cody wasn't winning, so it's like, why even
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: do that. Let him attempt to do it, and then
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: you know, Seth can kind of work his way out
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: of it, you know, hit a phoenix splash or something.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: So they traded spots until Cody set up for a pedigree.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: There it is again, He's gonna go for a pedigree, guys.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Rollins got out of it, though, he crawled to the watch,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: which was on the corner. Remember he set the watchdown
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: on the mat in the corner and Rollins wraps it
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: around his hand. The referee didn't see this, neither did Cody.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Rollins then accidentally, on purpose, bumps the referee, and as
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Cody is setting up for crossroads, Rollins reaches up and
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: just punches him right in the head with the watch,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and down goes Cody. Rollins followed with a curb stump
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: and then a second curb stump off the middle rope
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: to finally exercise the demons and get that elusive win
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: over Cody Rhodes. He came into this zero for three
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: no longer, and as he did earlier with Stephanie, Vicaier.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: Triple H then gets in the ring. After the match,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: he straps the Crown Jewel title around Seth's waist and
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: presents him with his brand new ring. Kathy Kelly gets
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: in the ring. She was about to interview Rollins, but
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: he yanked the mic away from her like she was
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: Tony Schavanni, and Rollins said that he knew what she
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: was going to. Ask him how it felt to get
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: that monkey off his back? He said, it felt better
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: than anybody could ever imagine. Some of us dream impossible
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: dreams and have the fortitude to reach those dreams. But
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: only one man reached higher than the highest. He was
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: no longer the greatest of his generation. He is now
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: the greatest of all time. And then they shot off
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Pyro for him as Stephanie viquerre joined Rollins in the
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: ring so that they could both pose with their big
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: gaudy belts, just like Cody and liv Morgan did last year.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I thought that I thought for sure cm Punk was
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: about to jump Seth during that speech, like I was
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: waiting for it. I'm like, all right, now you're gonna
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: have him gloat and cut a speech. It's like, all right,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: this is where's punk coming from? Right? And then there
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: was no cmpunk, but he was there. There's a photo
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: even floating around that he was like in the crowd,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: standing there and he had his hoodie on and everything
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: all covert. I think he was watching the John Cena
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: aj Styles match. He had a big smile on his
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: face because again Raw is in Perth, so he's probably
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: gonna be on Raw Mon night. He was there, and
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, I mean, I guess maybe they'll save
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: it for Monday, but I don't know why you wouldn't
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: because we all know they're going to wrestle again, probably
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: at Saturday nights made event, right, we know we're getting
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: the match. Like as sick as I am of punking
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Rolins at this point has been done to death, we
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: know it's coming. So I was surprised they didn't have
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: him jump Seth in that spot right there. But you know,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: I guess you could say in kind of a way
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: that time was not on Cody's side. Just didn't work
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: out for him tonight, but the watch paid off for
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: Seth Rollins. A win is a win. He did not
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: need bron Breaker's help. He did not need Bronton Reid's help,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: but he got the win over Cody Rhodes. This did
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: not need thirty minutes. This match went thirty minutes, and
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: I did not enjoy this match as much as I
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: did seen in styles. I did think it was a
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: strong match, but it did not need to go thirty minutes.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: It was overly long. I thought that they went a
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: little overboard in a way that just didn't work for
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: me on some of those near falls. Still a strong match,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: it's just not one of my favorites. I do appreciate
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: that it was one of those rare Vision matches that
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: didn't have all the interference that we've come to expect
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: in the Vision matches. I can't call it a clean win.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: It wasn't a clean win, but at least we didn't
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: have people running into the match. But Rollins had to
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: win this, you know, especially heading into Wargames again, assuming
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: the Vision is going to be a part of war Games,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: because why wouldn't they be. You got to keep the
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Vision strong going into that show. They did that with
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Bronton Reid right, absolutely the right move, and so Seth
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: Rollins had to win. Cody Rhoades stood to gain nothing.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: What is Cody gain from beating him a fourth time. Nothing.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: The story was Seth he was losing his mind, Cody
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: had gotten under his skin, Cody had gotten in his
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: head about you know, needing help or or you know, Hayman,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: can he be trusted? You know who's really running the
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: show here. And that's been the storyline over the last
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: few weeks. And I'll tell you what, I'm happy they
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: didn't do. And they even teased it on a guy.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: I guess it was yesterday on the kickoff show where
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: I think Rollins was out there with the vision and
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: then he kind of just walked off without them, And
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, are we going to get like
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: a swerve right where they want you to think that?
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: Seth and Hayman, Oh my god, they're on the outs.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: They're actually gonna split these guys up. And then you
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: know it's like they interfere. Here's Reed or here's Breaker,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: and then Seth wins and they're all cackling as the
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: show goes off the air. I thought there was a
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: decent chance that we might get that. I'm glad they
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: didn't do that. Like the whole ruse. Oh he pulled
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: the wool over your eyes. You actually bought it, hook
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: line and sinker like, I'm glad they didn't do that
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: because now the story is still there. There's still potential
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: drama here to be played out with the ranks of
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: the Vision. Remember earlier in the show backstage when bron
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: Breaker said to Bronson, read, well what happens if Cody
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: beats him? And then Hayman came back in and says,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: I think you know the answer to that question, right?
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: What did he mean by that? They should have seth
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Rolald that should be the first thing in his opening
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: promo on Monday Night. That should be absolutely something that
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: he brings up. He should confront Paul Hayman about that
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: and build on that. What did you mean by that?
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Did you lose faith in me? What about you? Did
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: you lose faith in me? You didn't think I could
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: do it? Did you? But what does you mean by that?
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: So again, that's a story angle that's kind of interesting
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: that they could pursue on TV this week. I know
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: why they close with this match. I mean they wanted
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: to have that parting shot, you know, of the two
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: Crown Jewel winners posing together and then shoot off a
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: bunch of Pyro and all that, So I get that,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: and also, look, this had the real course story. Out
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: of all of the matches on this show coming into this,
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: this one had a better story than most. Having now
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: seen the show and the match order and how everything
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: played out and the quality of the matches and everything,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: they should have closed with johnsen and AJ Styles. That's
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: the match that should have ended the show. It was
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: John Seenea's last ever international match, last ever match in Australia.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: It was a match between two you know, legendary iconic
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: figures here in the world of wrestling. You knew it
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: was going to be special, and I do feel that
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: the crowd, not that they weren't quiet for the rest
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: of the show, but I do feel like there were
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: moments maybe during the last two matches where they could
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: have been a little more animated than they were. Look,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: the women went on immediately after that Style's AJ match
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: or that Style Scena match, not an enviable position to
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: be in, but smart because Rhea of course, was always
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: going to get a reaction. I just feel like that
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: would have been an appropriate way to close the show
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: and send Sena off, you know, his last match in
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: the country, and just sort of fade to black. But
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: I get it. I get why they wanted to go
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: with this. I thought it was a very good show overall,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: much more enjoyable than Wrestle Poll Looser. Zoom says the
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: match that saved the show. I feel like saved is
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: too strong of a word that implies that without the match,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: the show would have sucked, which is not true for me,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: though it was. If you take that match out of
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: this card, then to me, this card is only marginally
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: better than Wrestle Poll Loose. It's probab Actually, it's probably
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: in the same same range, maybe like a B minus
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: or something like that, because this really, of all the
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: matches on this card, and there weren't that many of them,
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: of all the matches on this card, the only one
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: that will be memorable months from now is this match
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: John c and n aj Styles. Nobody is going to
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: be talking about or remembering or thinking about Cody and
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: Seth for the Crown Jewel title, or Stephanie and Tiffany
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: for the Crown Jewel title, or a tag match for
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Ria and EO. Like, no one's gonna be talking about that.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: This is the match that people will look back on
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: when they go over like some of John cens greatest
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: matches or aj Styles's greatest matches, or some of the
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: best matches of twenty twenty five in WWE, And this
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: is a match that will be on that you know,
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: on that list for most people, you take that match out. Yes,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: it is a much weaker show, but I don't really
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: know that. Saying it save the show is yes, elevated.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: I say that's a better Leopard Toe says elevated. That's
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: a better word for it. It elevated the show. Let
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: me take a look at the Oh I did not
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: get a Twitter poll up, but I forgot about that. See,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I knew I forgot something. Well, I'm gonna guess that
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: most people probably gave the show a thumbs up. Just
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: based on the reaction I'm seeing in the chat here,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: I think most people are pretty much in agreement with
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: the sentiment that I expressed here. Now, don't forget Raw
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: on Monday again, early start eight o'clock in the morning,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: Eastern time on Netflix. I'll have to let you know
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: when I'm gonna go live. I'm not gonna go live
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: as soon as Raw's over. I'd rather not go live
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: at eleven o'clock at night if it could be avoided.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: But I don't know what's going on yet, so kind
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: of like today, I'll keep you guys posted on X
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: most likely or maybe the podcast tomorrow, but I'll let
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you guys know what's going on with that. Think a
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: look at your super chats here and find out what
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: you guys thought of. Crown Jewel Raw at eight am
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: is crazy. It's Monday morning. Raw. You could have raw
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: with your eggs and bacon. You could have a raw
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: with your coffee in the morning if you drink coffee,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: maybe a bagel donut. Joseph Stewart says, rest in peace,
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: Diane Keaton, Yes, indeed if she passed away today the
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: age of seventy nine. Joseph wants to know what are
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: your three favorite scenes in the Dark Night? Oh, my God,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: in the Dark Night. My three favorite scenes, well, my
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: absolute favorite scene, maybe in any movie ever, is the
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: interrogation scene. Fucking unbelievable. The tension ugh so great and
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: the spliceing going back and forth between the different locations
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: as he's interrogating him. So the interrogation scene, I would
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: say the Joker's pencil trick has to be one, and
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe the opening bank heist. Maybe. I
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: think the scene on the train, it was a train
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: right with the boat. I'm sorry not the train with
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: Zeus would be pretty high up there as well. It's
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: funny how Zeus Tiny Tiny Lister, the late Tiny Lister,
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: actually had a pretty pivotal role in that movie. Joseph says,
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: if he had lived, do you think that Heath Ledger
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: would have returned as the Joker in The Dark Knight Rises?
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: I do. I do think he would have. Maybe he
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: I don't think he would have been necessarily the main
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: antagonist in the movie. That probably still would have been Bane,
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: But I do think he would have been in that movie.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Do you know why Jack Nicholson was in the party?
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: That party picture at the end of The Shining? You know,
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: I saw The Shining many years ago. I don't know.
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: I don't remember. I don't remember. Joseph says, would you
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: like to see Christian Bale and Hathaway and Christopher Nolan
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: return and do another Batman movie like a Dark Knight
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: Returns movie in the Nolan verse? Now, I I'd rather
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: he just sort of leave it alone. I think what
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: he created is sort of a masterpiece all by itself,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: and I think that probably best to just leave well
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: enough alone, Prince Vegeta. I remember when we were all
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: saying that John Cena was washed up and can't go anymore.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: Since SummerSlam, he has proved a lot of us wrong.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: I said at the beginning of the review. Man, I said,
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: the last three of four plees, the John Cena match
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: has stolen the show SummerSlam Paris and now this show.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: The stuff with Brocket Russell Palouza was fucking terrible, so
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: we don't count that. Joseph Stewart says, how different would
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: The Dark Knight Rises have been if Leonardo DiCaprio played
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: the Riddler in the movie in Bain was not the villain.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: DiCaprio is the Riddler. It would have been different. Would
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: it have been better? It's hard to say. Man, I
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I'm trying
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: to picture Leo as the Riddler. I don't I don't
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: know if that's the right fit for him. Have you
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: seen Bram Stroker's Dracula with Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder?
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: That is one I did not see. Also, who do
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: you think could have played Harley Quinn and Christopher Nolan's
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: Batman movies. I think Sarah Michelle Geller would have been
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: perfect in the role or Julius Stiles. You know, Sarah
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: Michelle Geller is an interesting one. I think her over
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: Julius Styles. I think that could have worked. What character
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: did she play in that Scooby Doo movie? Tommy Kalela
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: with a twenty dollars super chat says that scene of
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: versus aj match was such a beautiful love story wrestling wise,
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: honestly would say that might be the match of the year.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: I just loved aj styles face when Alicia announced him
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: like he was genuinely shocked and laughed. Buy or sell
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: Joker and Harley Quinn or Mickey and Mallory Knox from
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: Natural Born Killers. I'm gonna buy on Joker and Harley Quinn.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: I was very young when I saw that Natural Born
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: Killers movie in the theater when it came out, and
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: I was definitely too young to be seeing it. It
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: was yeah, and that was not my father's brightest move.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Joseph Stewart says, does Bo Dallas' uncle Howdy reminds you
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: of Heath Ledger's Joker and was Heath Ledger's Joker and
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: inspiration of the Uncle Howdy character. I see a little
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: bit of it in there. Maybe I don't want to
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: say that it was the inspiration for it because I
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: don't know if that's true, and there's not enough about
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: the character that like it screams like a blatant, you know,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: copy of the Joker. It's possible that he borrowed elements
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: for it, but I'm gonna say no. Dry Chickens says
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: the talent did good on the Crown Jewel Show. I'm
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: still not watching Raw and SmackDown. They need to shake
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: up the roster, the creative team and stories. Thank you,
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: brother Joseph Stewart. Did you know that Batman comic Nightfall
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: was the inspiration of the dark Knight Rises with Bain
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: breaking Batman's back? I didn't know that. Actually I knew
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: about Nightfall's reload this year. Get all the latest ones
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: here on the list that you guys can see him
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: loving this new format. By the way, I found a
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: way to avoid that other new format that I fucking hated.
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: This is so much better. We have horrifying dried chicken
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: with a five dollars super Chat, Triple H got to
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: call up Obafemi, Trick Williams, Kalanie, Jordan, Lash Legends, and
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: Jada park We need some more black wrestlers on the
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: main roster. I think you just named all of them
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: like gotta save something for NXT. Brother. You can't be
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: calling them all up at once. I think all of
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: them will eventually make their way to the main roster,
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: but you can't. I mean you're gonna put them all
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: together in a faction because that would be even worse.
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: Oba Femi, get Oba Femi up first. I think lash
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: Legend will actually do well on the main roster. I
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: would not have said that a year ago, year and
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: a half ago, but I do think that she'll get
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: the call sooner than later. I think there's no reason
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: to rush Kalani, not with what she's doing right now
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: with the TNA stuff. Jada Parker Jada Parker probably, but
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: you gotta figure. You got to prioritize who because you
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: don't want to call them all up at once. Joseph says.
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: It was announced at New York Comic Con that they
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: are making an animated adaptation the Batman comic Nightfall. I
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: did not hear that I had a couple of friends
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: who are actually at Comic Con today. I think right
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: still going on MGM balling with the nine nine nine.
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: He says, h O G was a banger last night solo.
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: I was the guy who stops you for a high
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: five and called you Mark Henry with the sharp salmon suit.
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: It was cool to meet you, and I appreciated a
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: minute of your time. Hey, I appreciate you coming to
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: the show and saying hello. Man, I don't get to
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: see everybody all the time. Actually, last night you were
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: there and you saw how packed it was. I've never
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: seen it that packed before. I couldn't even see the floor,
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: there were so many people. So I'm glad we we
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: at least had that moment at least, but my god,
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: I mean the uh we had a very unplanned uh
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: sort of how shall I how shall I say it?
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: I don't know, recreation, A very surprising recreation of the
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: infamous chair throwing incident in ECW during our main event
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: last night. It was one of those moments where I'm
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: very happy that we no longer have the commentary desk
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: at ringside. That was scary and crazy and cool. I
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: guess all the same time, it was a wild night
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: to say the least. Holiday one ninety seven says Hey Solo.
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: If Chris Jericho returns to WWE early next year, I
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: would like to see Jericho and AJ Styles have a
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: match together before AJ retires, maybe at WrestleMania. If Gunther
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: doesn't face AJ, it could be a good match. Yeah,
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: I don't know, man, if that's AJ's last match against Jericho, like,
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: I think we could do better than that. If you
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: want to do it, do it. I'm not sold on
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: it as a WrestleMania match, though, I'm not saying I
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: can't be convinced. You know, it's all about story at
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: the end of the day. But yeah, some Bliss fans
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: says it would be ten years since there WrestleMania thirty
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: two match. You know, next year is ten years of
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: AJ Styles in WWE. It's I mean, he may not
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: be there the entire year, but I think it would
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: be kind of nuts if they don't promote around that,
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: like ten years of Styles in WWE. Holiday one ninety
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: seven says thoughts On reports that Sina may challenge Dominic
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: for the IC title at Survivor Series if it's true.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: We know seen it as walking into his match as
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: a Grand Slam champion. I hope not. I'll talk more
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: about that on the show tomorrow. I saw the same reports.
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: I think it's unnecessary. Honestly, I don't mind the match itself,
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: but you know, the whole thing about the IC title
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: and everything, I just I don't think it's needed. Prince
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: Vegeta ninety five, I'm patiently waiting for this mega push
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: of Seth rollins to and he is insufferable, great wrestler,
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: but his character sucks. Yeah. I've never been a fan
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: of this whole character with him with the wild, wacky
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: outfits and laughing for no reason like a hyena. And
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: it doesn't do anything for me either. Holliday says, it
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: appears they are exploring putting the SmackDown Tag team titles
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: and US title belts back on the MFTs. If it happens,
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: I still won't take the MFTs seriously. Yeah, I mean
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: nobody will until they actually take the time to really
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: flesh out their characters more. You could put paint on
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: their faces, but it doesn't it doesn't change anything We've got.
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: Naima Khan, I always listen to your podcast and fall asleep,
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: So thank you. Okay, all right, then there you go.
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: I guess whatever works, I hope. I hope you're not
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: in play lying that the podcast puts you to sleep.
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: I've had people tell me that the sound of my voice,
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: though I don't know, I guess it could be calming
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: sometimes and it helps them sleep at night, and I mean, hey,
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: if it does, I'm happy to hear it. Mark Martineza,
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: my Sena opponent predictions from a month ago have been
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: correct so far. So next is Domit Survivor Series, and
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: then gun through at Saturday Night's Made Event, and if
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: a raw match happens, I predict Seamus. I would love
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: to see Sena and Shamus not not in his final match,
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: but I would love to see it, and there's only
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: two more chances to do it. You got Ron Boston,
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: you got raw MSG if we assume he's wrestling Domit
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: Survivor Series, which, by the way, I guess that gives
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: away the outcome of the match on Monday, doesn't it.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: I think the outcome of the match on Monday was
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: given away the minute that Penta accidentally kicked Russev last Monday,
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: So I think we can pretty much figure we're gonna
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: see Russev get involved there. But thank you Mark, Ricky Cornflakes,
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: you look like Mark Henry when the Shield beat him up.
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: It's gotta love the solomonst I've gotten a lot of
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: Mark Henry comparisons over the last twenty four hours. I
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: will say, don't worry, I got a lot left in
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: the tank. H we got here, we got here? Is
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: it Mark? It is Mark? Mark Martinez. What do you
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: think the idea of Sena tapping to Gunther in his
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: last match, since it's never give up for Sena all
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: of his career and that being his last match. The
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: thing with Sina though, I hm, I don't see him.
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: It's hard for me to imagine him tapping out. I
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: could see him passing out, but I don't know about
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: tapping out. We have not seen John Cena tap out
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: in the match since two thousand and three, It's been
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: over twenty years. That would be a huge thing if
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: he did, but it would it would go against everything
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: that character is about. I mean, he's never give up,
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: so you know he refuses to give up. He goes out,
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: referee raises the arm, it drops, and that I could
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: see I don't know if you know it's hard though,
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: I mean, do you beat him? Do you have somebody
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: else beat him and get the rub? Not that Gunther
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: needs the rub, but then that could kind of become
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: his gimmick where he's the guy that goes in there
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: and ends these legends once and for all. He did
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: it with Goldberg, he does it with Sena. Maybe he
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: does it with aj at WrestleMania next year. He canna
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: have a lot of very upset people if Seena goes
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: in there in DC and lo Jeremy Rose. So guessing
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: Survivor series post show will be crowdless. Oh after what
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: happened today, Now they'll just chalk it up to those
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: crazy international fans. I think if it keeps happening where
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: they're kind of like bullying poor Triple H, then yeah,
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: we may end up with they may have like AI
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: fans behind Triple H. The way things are going with
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: AI today, would we even know the difference? It says
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: Becky gonna go after Stephanie for flirting with Seth at
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: the at the end of the show. Why didn't see
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: him punk ruin Seth's celebration? Come on, let's make it
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: believable because they had to get the money shot at
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: the end with the two Crown Jewel champions posing with
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: their big belts. Yeah, that was say this. If the
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: idea is to go to Seth and Punk next, then
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: it was very stupid not to have him attack him
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: there at the end. The real CSAs would you move
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: Ria to SmackDown? I think she's needed there more than
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: on Raw. Yeah, I mean they could definitely use her.
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: You're not wrong about that. Would I do it? I
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: kind of want to see Rha and Stephanie. I don't
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: know if I would I would move Rhea. I might
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: maybe I find somebody else, But I mean, you're not wrong.
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: They could definitely use her on that show. SMG Kobe,
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: what are your current and all time favorite finishers? I mean,
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: in no particular order. The sharpshooter, the razor's edge was
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: always a favorite of mine. The crossfaced chicken wing submission
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: was the favorite of mine. Stone called stunner. I think
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: that maybe the most beautiful finishing move to watch is
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: Hacks black Arrow, or when he was Neville, the red Arrow,
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: the red arrow of the black Arrow. Call it whatever
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: you want, that's just a beautiful move. I mean, those
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: are the ones I'll name off the top of my head.
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: Current finishers. Though, if you say current ones, do I
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: have a favorite current finish? It's a good question. I
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: don't think I do. In WWA, in ae W, do
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: I have a favorite? No, I don't think I do.
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: I don't think I have that one move that's like, oh,
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: that's my favorite. Not really, not really. Most finishers aren't
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: even really finishers anymore, you know. Maybe that's why A
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: d sas solo thoughts on Roman beating Seth at WrestleMania
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: and in the future drops the belt to Bron who
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: turns face after the match, becoming officially the guy Roman
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: beating Seth and then in the future drops the belt.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: I'll see you want to put the World Heavyweight Championship
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: on Roman? Yeah, I mean it would be a big
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: deal though for Breaker if that played out that way,
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: I could get behind that because it will mean more
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: for Bron Breaker, then I could get behind that. Holiday
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: one ninety sevent do you think we could see a
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Championship match between Rollins and punk on raw
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: giving punk Is in Australia. SmackDown had some attraction matches
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: last night. No, I don't see them. I mean, unless
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: they announce it in advance, I don't. I don't think so.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: I think they're gonna probably want to save it for
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: Saturday Night's made event. That would be my guess, horrifying.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: Dried Chicken says, let me tell you how Kyrie saying
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: can calm Oscar's nerves. Brother Kyrie gives Osca brownies with
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: nice edibles and takes her out to shipping down edibles
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: for Oscar. That might actually calm her down. Actually Osca
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: on edibles, we'd be kind of entertaining to see how
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: that plays out on TV. Toma Tonga super fan is
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: with us. I'll bet he's excited. Guess who came back
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: on Friday Night? The man, the myth and legend, Toma
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: Tonga is back in WWE, just in time to be
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: seen as last opponent. Good misdirect by WWE to let
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: people think it's gunther Is that what it is? See
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: it's a misdirect everybody, you know. I'll bet that Sina
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: writing in the Bullet Club in AJ's intro on the
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: show tonight is like a little Easter egg because tom
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: A Tonga was a member of Bullet Club see Triple
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: Ah is playing chess. Everybody else is playing checkers. I
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: think you may be onto something or you just may
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: be on something, but either way, thank you brother. We
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: got Bobby's world and look at what Bobby's World dropped
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: on us. Bobby's World dropped a gunhar bomb, Holy shitty
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: dollar gunhar bomb. Hey, Solo, thank you for my early
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: birthday wish on your birthday. Since I typically donate to
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: you on your birthday and mine, I think a birthday
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: wish eight months early is nice. Hey, it's the least
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: I could do. And I'll say it again here. Happy
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: birthday Bobby's World, whenever it may be. I hope it's
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: a very happy day. Thank you for the support. Tomatonga
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: super fan again ten dollars, super chat. Tomatonga and Tangala
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: being back in WWE together has made smack Down the
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: a show again. That's going to make your Friday nights
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: end with a smile on your face. Yes, it might,
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: Actually it might. Like Jack Nicholson in The Shining when
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: he had the smile on his face. Bogus Fan says,
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: keep killing it, Solo. Thank you, Bogus Fan. It's another
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: show I used to watch. Another cart I used to
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: watch years ago, Mister Bogus. Remember mister Bogus, and then
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: they made a live action movie with Gerard de Perdue
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: playing mister Bogus. Jeremy Rose, remember when Triple Ah first
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: took over and everyone was glazing how good the product was,
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: And now things are so much different. Yes, the bloom,
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: as they say, is off the Rose Diego Vasquez. That
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: bray Wyatt tribute almost made me cry. It was a
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: very nice gesture and it was a very nice response
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: that it got from the crowd. I'm sure it meant
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: a lot to Bow as well. Rojoe Beart twenty four.
- 1:55:41Speaker 1: Every time I see Seth in the main event, I
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: just think to myself, Man, I miss Gunther. Well, the
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: good news is he should be back very soon. Jeremy says,
- 1:55:53Speaker 1: do you think Jay versus Roman is happening soon? If so,
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: do you think, well, no, Roman doesn't want to see
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: them until Christmas? Says, if so, do you think Roman
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: wants to put him over so that he can take
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: over the tribal chief character? Because Roman has one foot
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: out the door, he does kind of feel like he
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: has one foot out the door, but he's not going
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: anywhere yet. So no, I don't think they're building to
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: that just yet. If they're building to it at all,
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: I don't think that's happening anytime soon. And if they do,
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: then I hope it's a hell of a lot better
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: than that tribal combat garbage we got at SummerSlam two
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: years ago. We got Prince Vegeta, who says, if you
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: had the pen, who would you have picked as the
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: first British WWE World Champion, Davey boy Smith, William Regal
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: or Wade Barrett would have been Wade Back, not Wade
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: Barret would have been William Regal during that period where
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: he was I think he was the general Was he
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: the general manager? Yeah? I think he was the GM
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: during that period. It was the period where he was
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: likely going to end up with the World heavyweight title.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: And he flunked a task and then that was it,
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: Like that was one in fraction too many and he
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: fucked himself over. Was his own fault, but him even
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: hiss WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, whatever, I would say,
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: Regal during that period could have had at least a
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: short run with it. The Juliette says, rest in peace,
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: and Diane Keaton. Jeremy says, solo, you can change one
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: thing in current day wrestling. What do you change? Get
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: rid of the what chant? Get rid of the what chance?
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: And if you do chant what during one of these shows,
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: you get an electric shock to your nipples. That'll shut
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: him down real quick. Rohobert, that might not be illegal, though,
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: Rohobert twenty four. I haven't watched Raw ever. You could
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: just end a sentence there. I've never seen a single
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: episode of Monday Night Raw, he said. I haven't watched
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: Raw ever since Seth Rollins won the World Heavyweight Championship.
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: Thank God for Monday Night Football. Well, that's why you
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: have me, so I can keep you up to date
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: on what you're missing. Ad says the story will be
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: Roman doesn't care about the world title but takes away
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: what Seth took from him. Is a karma story. Yeah,
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: I mean I could see that basically being the story
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: around a WrestleMania match between those two. It's not about
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: what I need, it's you know what the company needs,
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: or it's well, actually, you know what for this Roman character,
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: he doesn't give a shit about the company. He would
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: be more self fish about it. It's like I haven't
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: forgotten what you did to me in Philadelphia two years ago. Yeah,
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: I could see that, and Tomatonga super fan. We are
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: now on the path for Tomatonga and Tongaloa to win
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: the tag team belt at WrestleMania forty two and then
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: set up a year old build. I think you mean
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: a year long build, set up a year old build
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: to a singles match at WrestleMania forty three in the
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: main event. You know Saudi Arabia is a top three
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: fan base for the tongas well. I'll tell you what,
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: if his excellency over there wanted Tomatonga against Tongaloa, triple
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: H would kiss the ring and give him the match
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: that he wants. So if he if he's as big
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: of a Tongans fan as you say he is, I
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: put nothing past these people and Diego VASc what Sena
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: dream Match has delivered or just with aj you mean
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: you talked about this year. I mean the scene of
- 2:00:09Speaker 1: punk match was pretty good. Yeah, the Sena Orton match
- 2:00:19Speaker 1: was much better than I expected it to be. It's
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: not like my favorite match of the year or anything.
- 2:00:24Speaker 1: So I don't know if you're just referring to match
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: it because that's a short list. You know, you're just
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: talking about matches this year. M yeah, I mean AJ
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: would be like of the quote unquote dream matches, AJ
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: would be number one. Good shit, thank you Diego. And
- 2:00:47Speaker 1: I actually see just now. I don't know why I
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: just noticed, but we had a bonus goal going in
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: the chat and we have hit that goal. And the
- 2:00:55Speaker 1: main goal where at four hundred and sixty three likes,
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: can we get that to five hundred before we get
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: out of here live. That's gonna be up to you
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: guys while you work on that. Let's be the booker.
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. It is now time to be the booker.
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: And doctor Scorpio is with us. Doctor Scorpio is with us,
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: he says. For a second, I thought you were reading
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: random comments. Well technically you are, but didn't see the
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: super chat Lol. Thanks for watching, so I don't have to, brother,
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: it's literally on the screen. It's the whole list of them.
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: Thank you, doctor Scorpio. Oh, it's always good when we
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: get a double B the booker, isn't it. It's always
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: good when we get to see those old tag team
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: belts too. And there you see the Steiner brothers, Rick
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: and Scott. Isn't that the senator from the state of Florida.
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: Isn't that Rick Scott's kind of took the two names
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: and put them together. Can't trust somebody with two first names.
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: The Steiner brothers are going to be taking on the
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: two dudes with attitude. This is when they had all
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: the goal. You talk about bell collectors, these are the
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: original belt collectors right here, Shawn Michaels and Diesel. I
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: don't think Scott Steiner is gonna or Rick Steiner for
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: that matter, is going to be taking Shawn Michael's shit
- 2:02:38Speaker 1: from nineteen ninety five. Shawn Michaels better be on his
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: best behavior. That would be a hell of a match, though,
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: Diesel and Michaels against the Steiner brothers, it's a great
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: pick right there. All right, our women's match is going
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: to have the Love Maurice Ah Maurice Maurice against Dana Brook. Well. Look,
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: we wish all the best of Dana Brook. She had
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: to abruptly vacate her impact or well in TNA now
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: TNA Knockouts Championship for reasons that were not disclosed. Hopefully
- 2:03:29Speaker 1: the situation is not serious. Be that as it may.
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: This is not a match that uh, this is not
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: a match I would book on my card. I'm sorry,
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: Sol Goes, I gotta be honest to Robb says, I
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: don't trust Neil Patrick Harris. Three first names. That's even worse.
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: Oh my god, three first names. We have Yoko Zuna
- 2:04:06Speaker 1: as one half of our main event, former two time
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: WWF champion Yoko Zuna against the Undertaker. See but this
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: is Ministry Undertaker. We never got to see Yoko Zuna
- 2:04:29Speaker 1: against Ministry Undertaker. But there was just something about those
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: Undertaker Yoko Zuna matches that I have a soft spot for.
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: I actually enjoyed watching them have those matches and wrestle together.
- 2:04:48Speaker 1: That's right, Grant says, BSk lives. That's right, BSk lives.
- 2:04:55Speaker 1: They got they got the tats Man. It's a brotherhood,
- 2:05:03Speaker 1: all right. You unlocked round number two. This should be interesting.
- 2:05:12Speaker 1: We go from the Bone Street Crew and the Undertaker
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: to Buried Alive, staying with the Undertaker motif here buried
- 2:05:20Speaker 1: a live match. We're gonna have ourselves a tag team
- 2:05:25Speaker 1: buried a live match. That's what we're gonna do. And
- 2:05:28Speaker 1: there has in fact been a tag team buried a
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: live match on SmackDown many years ago, and I actually
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: remember enjoying that match greatly. So we have Hulk Hogan
- 2:05:39Speaker 1: and Dennis Rodman Hulk Hogan in a buried alive match.
- 2:05:43Speaker 1: Who's getting buried? And I do mean buried. Let's find
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: out who are the poor schmucks who are getting buried
- 2:05:52Speaker 1: by the Hulkster here in this match? Oho, this is
- 2:05:58Speaker 1: going to be the mother of all burier is what
- 2:06:01Speaker 1: this is gonna be. Hulk Hogan's gonna take one look
- 2:06:04Speaker 1: at Fandango and say that don't work for me, brother,
- 2:06:08Speaker 1: which is too bad, because I'm a Tyler Breeze mark
- 2:06:11Speaker 1: man I have. But when he came back to NXT recently,
- 2:06:17Speaker 1: he looked like he had stepped out of twenty fourteen.
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: That's the Tyler Breeze man that I was a big
- 2:06:23Speaker 1: fan of. But Hogan's gonna take one look at these
- 2:06:26Speaker 1: two guys and he may not even show up that night.
- 2:06:30Speaker 1: He made no show the event. Rodman is definitely not
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: showing up for that. Fandango has no chance. Actually, Fandango
- 2:06:44Speaker 1: shouldn't show up right Our next stipulation, Oh for Fuck's sake.
- 2:06:52Speaker 1: We just picked this the other night. What is with
- 2:06:55Speaker 1: the Punjabi prison stipulation? My god, you know I ended
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: up in one of these one What was it? Me
- 2:07:02Speaker 1: against Goldberg or something? In a Punjabi prison match? Be
- 2:07:06Speaker 1: the booker was it? Definitely had had it out for
- 2:07:08Speaker 1: me that night. Do we put the poor ladies in
- 2:07:15Speaker 1: the Punjabi prison or should we do the men's match
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: and make that Punjabi prison? All right, we'll do with them.
- 2:07:21Speaker 1: We'll spare the ladies the indignity of being a part
- 2:07:24Speaker 1: of this. Just absolute monstrosity. Oh no, that's right, Oh
- 2:07:31Speaker 1: my god, How could I forgot? It was me against Khali?
- 2:07:34Speaker 1: That's right. We landed on Punjabi prison for a fucking
- 2:07:37Speaker 1: coli match and I was his opponent that night. Just
- 2:07:43Speaker 1: buzz the match. No, I want to see. I want
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: to see. Well, who's going to be in this match?
- 2:07:49Speaker 1: Ravishing Rick Rude is going to be in a Punjabi
- 2:07:52Speaker 1: prison match? See I You know, I feel like he
- 2:07:56Speaker 1: can make this work. It really all depends on who
- 2:07:58Speaker 1: he's in the ring with. Ravishing Rick Rude can make
- 2:08:03Speaker 1: almost anything work. Ravishing Rick Rud against Mark Brisco in
- 2:08:12Speaker 1: a Punjabi prison. You know what, you're gonna call me
- 2:08:16Speaker 1: crazy for this. I'm actually gonna give that the bell
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: because I think that these two could find a way
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: to make this work and to make this entertaining. I
- 2:08:31Speaker 1: really do. I'm gonna put my faith in these two.
- 2:08:40Speaker 1: I think they could pull it off. Am I still
- 2:08:45Speaker 1: in be the book? Oh? I'm in there somewhere. I'm
- 2:08:47Speaker 1: still in there. I haven't demoted myself yet. And we're
- 2:08:55Speaker 1: gonna end with a traditional steel cage match. We go
- 2:08:58Speaker 1: from the crazy cage to the regular steel cage. Well,
- 2:09:03Speaker 1: I would say this is a little bit better here
- 2:09:04Speaker 1: for the ladies, so I feel better about this for them.
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: But let's see here we go with the women, get
- 2:09:10Speaker 1: the main event here, which is a rarity here, and
- 2:09:14Speaker 1: be the booker. We have Gail Kim. You know what,
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna do
- 2:09:27Speaker 1: something a little bit different. I'm gonna make a deck.
- 2:09:32Speaker 1: We're shaking things up. We are shaking things up here,
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: and be the booker for the first time. We're gonna
- 2:09:38Speaker 1: have ourselves an intergender main event. We have Gail Kim
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: on one side of this match. This is a steel
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: cage match mind you. Okay, we're gonna have Gail Kim
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: in an intergender main event. This is gonna make things
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: very interesting. Gail Kim against William Regal in a steel
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: cage match. How do you like that? The tag team
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: image ruined it from being a clean sweep. But Gail
- 2:10:17Speaker 1: Kim and William Regal two great professional wrestlers. You put
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: them in a cage, and you know what, I think
- 2:10:26Speaker 1: they'd have a pretty damn good match. Everyone's saying, Kenny Omega,
- 2:10:32Speaker 1: you imagine if I actually landed on him, how do
- 2:10:37Speaker 1: you like that? You never know what You're gonna get
- 2:10:39Speaker 1: here and be the book. Oh, we're gonna be shaking
- 2:10:41Speaker 1: things up a little bit more too, once I actually
- 2:10:43Speaker 1: gets all the updates I want to do. I just
- 2:10:44Speaker 1: haven't had time lately with all the work I've had
- 2:10:46Speaker 1: to do. But we're gonna be updating this. I'm gonna
- 2:10:50Speaker 1: be revamping it. But yeah, every now and then, you might, yeah,
- 2:10:54Speaker 1: you know, you might get some intergender I mean, WWE
- 2:10:57Speaker 1: doesn't have the balls to do it, but you might
- 2:11:01Speaker 1: get an intergender match or two. You never know. Horrifying
- 2:11:08Speaker 1: dried chicken with flavor it does, Regal does regal have
- 2:11:12Speaker 1: the brass nuts. It's a steel cage match, so if
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: he's got them tucked away in his tights, it's totally legal.
- 2:11:20Speaker 1: So sure. Dried Chicken says delete one horror movie, Scream
- 2:11:28Speaker 1: a nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play or the Thing
- 2:11:35Speaker 1: a Nightmare on Elm Street. I just I wasn't a
- 2:11:39Speaker 1: big Freddie guy. I like all I like all the
- 2:11:41Speaker 1: other ones. Though. Cameron Spencer before Undertaker retired, I wanted
- 2:11:49Speaker 1: to see him face Rick Flair and a wrestle Mania
- 2:11:51Speaker 1: retirement match with Vince as the referee. Would you have
- 2:11:53Speaker 1: been down for that? No, thank you, Cameron. Chicken without
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: flavor says Maurice. Against ash By Elegance, loser has to
- 2:12:07Speaker 1: pose for pictures with Art the clown. Yeah. I should
- 2:12:10Speaker 1: point out that in that one it was Dana Brook
- 2:12:13Speaker 1: and not ash By Elegance, if that matters. Jeremy Rose says,
- 2:12:19Speaker 1: name you're Mount Rushmore of heels. I don't have a
- 2:12:22Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore of heels, but I could tell you that
- 2:12:24Speaker 1: some of the people that would be on like a
- 2:12:28Speaker 1: top shortlist for me. For me, Vince McMahon is the
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: greatest in many real life. I think mirror's fiction in
- 2:12:36Speaker 1: many ways. But the greatest wrestling heel of all time
- 2:12:40Speaker 1: is Vince McMahon. Mister McMahon, So he would have to
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: be on there, yeah, to do it in like a
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore like it's tough, but Vince Vince would be
- 2:12:53Speaker 1: number one. And then I mean when you look at
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: you know, top heels. I mean again, I grew up
- 2:12:59Speaker 1: on guys like dB Yasi who would buy people off
- 2:13:03Speaker 1: and kick basketballs away from little kids when he promised
- 2:13:06Speaker 1: to pay them money and you know, they fifteen times
- 2:13:09Speaker 1: and then kick it away at fourteen, like what a dick?
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: You know. Jake Roberts is a heel, one of the
- 2:13:15Speaker 1: greatest heels I've ever seen, as over as he was
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: as a babyface like evil heel. Jake from like nineteen
- 2:13:22Speaker 1: ninety one into ninety two is right there at the
- 2:13:26Speaker 1: top of the list, you know, not for nothing. Triple
- 2:13:31Speaker 1: H was a great heel too. I'm not even talking
- 2:13:34Speaker 1: about the Reign of Terror. I'm talking about when he
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: was like still in his physical prime, like two thousand,
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: two thousand and one. I'm not saying he'd be on
- 2:13:43Speaker 1: my Mount Rushmore necessarily, but he was a damn good heel,
- 2:13:47Speaker 1: you know during that period. Yeah, modern day you think
- 2:13:53Speaker 1: modern day wrestling, MJF pretty damn high up on that list.
- 2:14:01Speaker 1: Man Rick Flair, of course, Suit Jericho, that's uh or
- 2:14:10Speaker 1: as I call it, No Country for old Men, Jericho,
- 2:14:14Speaker 1: Anton Sugar, Jericho, death Side. I hope CM Punk at
- 2:14:20Speaker 1: AJ styles at the first two entrants and the final
- 2:14:24Speaker 1: two in the Royal Rumble because it feels like the
- 2:14:26Speaker 1: only way we're getting any kind of singles match between
- 2:14:28Speaker 1: them at this point. You know, that actually would not
- 2:14:34Speaker 1: be a bad final two. Let's say Punk is going
- 2:14:38Speaker 1: to win the Rumble, you have AJ with him at
- 2:14:41Speaker 1: the very end, and given that he has announced that
- 2:14:44Speaker 1: he's going to be retiring, you could have people buy
- 2:14:46Speaker 1: into the idea that, oh my god, maybe AJ is
- 2:14:48Speaker 1: going to win the Rumble, you know, and he'll get
- 2:14:50Speaker 1: one last like championship opportunity at WrestleMania. Like people I
- 2:14:55Speaker 1: think would buy into that. Dry Chickens says Gail Kim
- 2:15:01Speaker 1: against William Regal with the Jeepers Creeper as the special
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: guest referee. Good to see he's in the Halloween Spirit
- 2:15:15Speaker 1: Spirit Halloween Tactical Butt Cheek ninety three, Still one of
- 2:15:20Speaker 1: the best names calling it now seeing his next opponent
- 2:15:24Speaker 1: is getting a stunner rock Bottom and or tombstone pile driver.
- 2:15:30Speaker 1: He already had an opponent tonight that got a tombstone
- 2:15:32Speaker 1: pile driver. He literally gave aj a tombstone pile driver.
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: Solo monster is the goat, Yeah, but the thing is
- 2:15:43Speaker 1: like a rock Bottom. Yes, a stunner. I don't see
- 2:15:45Speaker 1: a stunner because he never wrestled Austin. I feel like
- 2:15:49Speaker 1: he's pretty much keeping it to guys that he's worked
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: with before, so it wouldn't be a stunt. He has
- 2:15:55Speaker 1: taken a stunner, though, he took a stunner once on
- 2:15:58Speaker 1: one of those Tribute to the Troop shows. Actually it
- 2:16:01Speaker 1: might have been in two thousand and three. It might
- 2:16:04Speaker 1: have been Actually right at the beginning part of his career.
- 2:16:11Speaker 1: I want to say two thousand and three is when
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: they started doing them. Well, thank you guys for hanging
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: out with me here a little bit later than I
- 2:16:20Speaker 1: wanted to go. I was hoping to go earlier, but
- 2:16:23Speaker 1: the day got away from me. So I said, all right,
- 2:16:25Speaker 1: we'll go. We'll go in primetime. It's all good. The
- 2:16:30Speaker 1: next time I am live with you and Retro and Michael.
- 2:16:36Speaker 1: I'm going to get to your chats here in a moment,
- 2:16:39Speaker 1: but the next time I'm live with you, I am
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: shooting to go live tomorrow night after Bound for Glory.
- 2:16:45Speaker 1: I was live after Slammiversary. I would like to be
- 2:16:48Speaker 1: live after Bound for Glory. It is their biggest show
- 2:16:50Speaker 1: of the year. They have Mike Santana going for the
- 2:16:53Speaker 1: TNA World Championship in the main event. I could see
- 2:16:56Speaker 1: him getting an assist from Ricky Saints, not that I
- 2:17:00Speaker 1: think he should need an assist from the NXT champion,
- 2:17:03Speaker 1: but the NXT champion had Trick Williams bail on him
- 2:17:06Speaker 1: during the Invasion Special on Tuesday. I could see Ricky
- 2:17:10Speaker 1: getting some revenge on Trick by coming out and he
- 2:17:14Speaker 1: could distract him. He could prevent Trick from cheating. It
- 2:17:16Speaker 1: could be anything either way. I think we're getting a
- 2:17:19Speaker 1: new TNA World Champion. We got the Hardy's and the
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: Dudley's one final table winner take All match. Hardy's by
- 2:17:26Speaker 1: the way, the new Hog Tag Team champions. Kalanie Jordan
- 2:17:31Speaker 1: I believe is defending her Knockouts Championship against Indy Hartwell,
- 2:17:35Speaker 1: you've got Leon Slater defending the X Division Championship against
- 2:17:38Speaker 1: Javon Evans and a bunch of other matches. So I'm
- 2:17:43Speaker 1: aiming to do that, but of course I have a
- 2:17:44Speaker 1: podcast to do tomorrow first, So that's episode nine thirty
- 2:17:47Speaker 1: three of the SoundOff. Hey, Havelily, look at this. Haaveli,
- 2:17:55Speaker 1: twenty eight months of channel membership, says, what up, Sola
- 2:18:02Speaker 1: Monster shout out from Brisbane, Australia. How are you doing today? Thought? Thought?
- 2:18:08Speaker 1: On the rumor Wargames teams, you are the goat, Javeli,
- 2:18:13Speaker 1: I were you at the show? I know Brisbane's see,
- 2:18:16Speaker 1: Australia is a gigantic country, so I don't know offhand
- 2:18:21Speaker 1: how far Brisbane is from Perth, but I'm assuming it's
- 2:18:25Speaker 1: many hours away. So I don't know if you were
- 2:18:27Speaker 1: at the show, Javili. I'm going to assume you were not.
- 2:18:30Speaker 1: I'm doing well. I'm a little tired, but I hope
- 2:18:34Speaker 1: you were doing very well as far as the wargames stop.
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna get into that on the sound off tomorrow,
- 2:18:38Speaker 1: So tune into the podcast and we'll address all the
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: rumors for mister Meltzer. This week he dropped some news
- 2:18:47Speaker 1: and we'll talk about the rumored lineups for wargames and
- 2:18:50Speaker 1: a bunch of other things. Michael Jensen with forty nine
- 2:18:54Speaker 1: months of channel membership that Oscar super Chat has hilariously
- 2:18:58Speaker 1: scared the crap out of with me repeatedly since its arrival.
- 2:19:03Speaker 1: Oh good, so I'm not the only one then, that's
- 2:19:07Speaker 1: good to know. And Retrokoh with a member Chat thirty
- 2:19:11Speaker 1: one months, Happy belated birthday. How was the Hog Show?
- 2:19:15Speaker 1: I heard the Hardys won their third set of belts
- 2:19:18Speaker 1: on the show, well technically fourth, they have those fourth
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: rope belts from the other promotion. It was a wild
- 2:19:31Speaker 1: show again. I'll talk briefly about it tomorrow as well.
- 2:19:35Speaker 1: It was our ended up being our biggest show of
- 2:19:37Speaker 1: the year in many ways, and there were a lot
- 2:19:42Speaker 1: of wild things that happened last night. And if you
- 2:19:44Speaker 1: didn't see it, the replay is up on Triller, so
- 2:19:48Speaker 1: you can check it out there. With all my esteemed commentary,
- 2:19:52Speaker 1: it's always the best part. Let's be honest, hey, Doctor Scorpio,
- 2:19:58Speaker 1: When did Hologram joined the Kallis family? That would be
- 2:20:03Speaker 1: el Clone, So you got to get it right. It's
- 2:20:06Speaker 1: el Clone. Julian with a twenty dollars super Chat. Tiffany
- 2:20:14Speaker 1: against Bianca is a WrestleMania caliber match, but ken wwe
- 2:20:18Speaker 1: hold off on it that long given the lack of
- 2:20:20Speaker 1: challengers for Tiffany. I mean, as long as Bianca has
- 2:20:24Speaker 1: been out for are we even going to have her
- 2:20:26Speaker 1: back in time for WrestleMania. I think that's the better question.
- 2:20:30Speaker 1: She broke some fingers. She's been out since April, it's
- 2:20:33Speaker 1: now October. I don't know. I don't know when she's
- 2:20:37Speaker 1: coming back. Rumble maybe, or does she make it back
- 2:20:43Speaker 1: in time for a women's Wargames match at Survivor Series.
- 2:20:48Speaker 1: Doctor Scorpio, Oh lord, don't tell me. Tony Kahan taking
- 2:20:52Speaker 1: a page from Undertaker against Undertaker in ninety four with Hologrand,
- 2:20:57Speaker 1: that's the whole point of the character. Though. El Clone
- 2:20:59Speaker 1: is supposed to be the evil Lucha twin. Basically, you
- 2:21:04Speaker 1: know he was going to come in. He was going
- 2:21:05Speaker 1: to cost Holograham his thirty four and oh undefeated streak,
- 2:21:08Speaker 1: and they were gonna probably have a match at Wrestle
- 2:21:10Speaker 1: Dream And now that's all out the window because Holograham
- 2:21:14Speaker 1: suffered a serious knee injury and now l Clone debuted
- 2:21:17Speaker 1: is one of the twenty nine members of the don
- 2:21:20Speaker 1: Kallis family, and he will he will just fade into
- 2:21:23Speaker 1: the background. But I said, you know, let him amass
- 2:21:27Speaker 1: his own thirty four and oh record that nobody will
- 2:21:29Speaker 1: give a shit about. And when Holograham comes back, then
- 2:21:31Speaker 1: you can match him up. I've already put more thought
- 2:21:35Speaker 1: into this though than I should have. Look of all
- 2:21:38Speaker 1: the things to put thought into, that's that's not really
- 2:21:40Speaker 1: one of them that I'm too concerned about anyway. Thank
- 2:21:44Speaker 1: you guys for all the support tonight. We got episode
- 2:21:47Speaker 1: nine thirty three tomorrow and potential Bound for Glory review.
- 2:21:52Speaker 1: And I will keep you abreast. I love that word.
- 2:21:54Speaker 1: I will keep you abreast of my raw plans for
- 2:21:58Speaker 1: streaming on Monday. Be well, stay safe, and I will
- 2:22:03Speaker 1: see you back here real soon for more SoundOff live
- 2:22:06Speaker 1: here on YouTube. Hit that like button on your way out,
- 2:22:09Speaker 1: and I will see you next time for more SoundOff.
- 2:22:10Speaker 1: Until then, take care, guys,
