- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Almost famous to OG's Bob Guinea, Trista Sutter, Trista, we
- 0:10Speaker 2: are here.
- 0:12Speaker 3: I gotta be honest.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Part of me is sad that the finale happened last night,
- 0:15Speaker 2: which means we're not gonna be talking about dancing every week.
- 0:20Speaker 2: This has been a lot of fun. I'm gonna miss it,
- 0:23Speaker 2: but there's so much to get to. Oh major spoiler alerts. Guys,
- 0:28Speaker 2: if you're listening to this podcast right now, you're gonna
- 0:30Speaker 2: find out who won Dance with the Stars last night.
- 0:33Speaker 2: If you don't already know, it's everywhere, right, it is
- 0:35Speaker 2: literally everywhere. It's huge news for us because it proves
- 0:39Speaker 2: that you and I could be judges on Dancing with
- 0:43Speaker 2: the Stars because we chose no, we chose this.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Just saying, well, we chose him winning, that's true, but
- 0:49Speaker 1: we got everybody else wrong.
- 0:51Speaker 3: That's true. That's true, very valid point.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Although if you look at the judges scores, we got
- 0:58Speaker 2: everybody right, so we get into that one.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Wah, yeah, that's true. That's so funny. I didn't look
- 1:05Speaker 1: at that.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Went through them this morning when I was kind of
- 1:08Speaker 2: reading up on stuff and I told Hannah I watched
- 1:11Speaker 2: this kind of like half awake. I fell asleep with
- 1:15Speaker 2: Grayson last night, putting them to sleep, and then I
- 1:17Speaker 2: woke up and I'm like, oh my god, I got
- 1:18Speaker 2: to watch the show, and I was like one eye open,
- 1:20Speaker 2: and I may have fallen asleep several times as well.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I had to do a satellite media tour yesterday morning
- 1:26Speaker 2: from five thirty to ten or five thirty to eleven,
- 1:29Speaker 2: so I was I was going.
- 1:31Speaker 1: On, Oh my gosh, for what deal?
- 1:33Speaker 2: No, you know, well, I did a deal this weekend
- 1:35Speaker 2: in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then was supposed to be gone
- 1:38Speaker 2: Saturday and Sunday, come back Monday, and then go straight
- 1:42Speaker 2: to New York to do a satellite media tour. And
- 1:45Speaker 2: I do them like for different holidays throughout the course
- 1:47Speaker 2: of the year. In fact, I'd love to talk to
- 1:48Speaker 2: you about because I think you'd be a great addition
- 1:50Speaker 2: to the stable of talent they have for this.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I would love that.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I do it. I do it probably ten times
- 1:55Speaker 3: a year, and.
- 1:55Speaker 1: It's like, oh, that's amazing.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, And nine times out of ten I get to
- 1:59Speaker 2: keep stuff too, which is really cool. But lately they've
- 2:02Speaker 2: been a little stingy on this stuff, which bums me
- 2:04Speaker 2: out AnyWho that's neither here nor there. But yeah, I
- 2:09Speaker 2: was so worn down, you know that, I was like,
- 2:11Speaker 2: oh my god, I gotta watch Dancing with the Stars.
- 2:12Speaker 3: You know, and uh, family came in and everything.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So I watched it later and I missed a few
- 2:19Speaker 2: things that I read this morning that.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I'm like, how did I miss that? You know?
- 2:23Speaker 2: And like what Like, for example, there was some some
- 2:29Speaker 2: class A level flirting going on with Juliann Huff and
- 2:32Speaker 2: Danny Amendola, and I'm officially jealous of it.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm jealous of it. Did you see that?
- 2:37Speaker 1: I literally pointed at the television and I'm like, I
- 2:41Speaker 1: ship this, Like, isn't that what people say?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:44Speaker 3: They say I ship it.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Well, actually I'm a little fat. Yeah, I have to
- 2:47Speaker 2: ask Hanna what they say. Now, I'm sure it's not
- 2:50Speaker 2: shipped it anymore?
- 2:51Speaker 3: What do they say? Yeah? Probably not, it is.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It is.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Still I got it right, So yes, I was like school.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Still, I'm like, you know, we are so trendy.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yes, we're so trendy.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Gosh, we finally made a tea.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah I saw that, and I'm like, damn it. Now, granted,
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'm a happy married man. There's nothing I'm gonna but
- 3:13Speaker 2: I don't know why, but it just bothered me that
- 3:16Speaker 2: Juliane Huff was flirting with Danny Amadila and not somehow
- 3:18Speaker 2: through the screen with me.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Isn't that terrible? Like, well, how am I jealous of that?
- 3:22Speaker 1: It was really really cute, like she was laying and
- 3:24Speaker 1: I don't know if you ended up seeing it, but
- 3:26Speaker 1: Juliane's laying in his bed because it was the bed
- 3:30Speaker 1: like the prop from their Barbie Freestyle dance, and Julianne
- 3:36Speaker 1: asked him a question and he goes, Then he goes,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I think the better question is, Julianne, why are you
- 3:41Speaker 1: in my bed? It was perfect. It was so cute.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I guarantee you that dude, that dude has probably used
- 3:49Speaker 3: that line a few times in his life.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he hasn't. He doesn't wonder why why women
- 3:55Speaker 1: are in his bed.
- 3:56Speaker 3: He knows. He's like, we all know why you're in
- 3:59Speaker 3: my bed.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So last night season thirty three mirror Ball, we picked
- 4:03Speaker 2: the top five that part we had correct.
- 4:06Speaker 3: We also picked.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah number one based on the scores. Based on the scores, well.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Based on the scores, we picked to the top five correctly,
- 4:13Speaker 2: and I'm gonna go over to the scores real quick, okay,
- 4:16Speaker 2: So I'll save our number one finisher for last. Stephen
- 4:21Speaker 2: and Riley scored a twenty nine and thirty for a
- 4:23Speaker 2: total of fifty nine. Didn't pick that one, actually, Joey
- 4:27Speaker 2: and Jenna also fifty nine.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Didn't pick that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: What do you mean we didn't pick that one?
- 4:33Speaker 3: Well, I guess we did. I didn't pick Steven, we did.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I thought Stephen was gonna.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Be but he he was the last one, like fifth place.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Whitney and Danny only a fifty six, which I
- 4:44Speaker 2: didn't think was uh was was accurate?
- 4:47Speaker 1: I thought they were robbed for their party dance. They
- 4:49Speaker 1: should have got all tens. I thought it was so entertaining.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It was great, Like the costumes, he did a great
- 4:56Speaker 1: job with, like his acting skills. The dancing was amazing.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Is saying we actually know one of the dancers, like
- 5:03Speaker 1: the background dancers is. Her name is Mia Maxwell, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: she is choreographing a solo for Blakesley this year for today. Yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 1: isn't that fun? Heard mom teaches at Blakesley's dance studio,
- 5:15Speaker 1: So that was really fun for Blakesley and I to
- 5:19Speaker 1: see is super cool. Yeah, it was amazing.
- 5:23Speaker 2: No, I love that, and then you got then you
- 5:26Speaker 2: got Alona and Alan fifty seven. So I guess I
- 5:30Speaker 2: kind of if I'm thinking about the ranking of the scores,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I thought Stephen and Alona would be fourth and fifth. Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 2: then Chandler perfect score sixty thirty and thirty.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Oh wait, so who did I say? I said fifth
- 5:46Speaker 1: was going to be Stephen? And then did I say
- 5:49Speaker 1: fourth was going to be Danny?
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:51Speaker 1: You remember I switched it up.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I wrote this down.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I said, I said fourth was going to be Danny
- 5:57Speaker 1: and third was going to be Alona. So I actually
- 5:59Speaker 1: got this right.
- 6:00Speaker 3: You did not. I did not.
- 6:02Speaker 2: You're absolutely right you did, and I was I was
- 6:04Speaker 2: the one who picked. I was the one who said.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I actually think I said, No, I did. I said
- 6:09Speaker 2: Stephen than Alona, than Danny. Yeah, you said Stephen, Danny, Alona.
- 6:13Speaker 2: So you actually got the whole thing right, the whole
- 6:16Speaker 2: kit and kaboodle.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Well based on but not on Oh no, I just
- 6:24Speaker 1: know the show. Yeah, and I feel like there's always
- 6:28Speaker 1: some kind of what do you call it when the
- 6:31Speaker 1: underdog wins a twist or Yeah, exactly. So an upset
- 6:37Speaker 1: is what the word I was thinking of. So I
- 6:40Speaker 1: I knew there was going to be some kind of
- 6:41Speaker 1: upset in terms of what I was thinking, and I
- 6:43Speaker 1: couldn't be right, So that's why I switched it up.
- 6:47Speaker 1: But I will say that Alona, I think who was
- 6:52Speaker 1: saying who was saying this in the beginning, maybe it
- 6:55Speaker 1: was Alfonso or maybe it was Julianne, but they were
- 6:58Speaker 1: talking about how much the world really has love has
- 7:07Speaker 1: fallen in love with her based on and we talked
- 7:10Speaker 1: about this the last time, but based on like her
- 7:12Speaker 1: her social media posts or tiktoks, her Instagram posts. Everyone
- 7:18Speaker 1: just and I am in that boat too. I'm a
- 7:21Speaker 1: huge fan. I love how real and raw she's been
- 7:26Speaker 1: about not feeling beautiful because she is like a muscular,
- 7:32Speaker 1: uh larger woman. Just I think that it's a beautiful
- 7:39Speaker 1: story about how you don't have to be Barbie, you know,
- 7:44Speaker 1: skinny and tiny and blonde too to be beautiful. I
- 7:49Speaker 1: just I love I loved her whole, her whole storyline really,
- 7:56Speaker 1: and the beautiful partnership between her and Alan to like
- 8:00Speaker 1: the tears that were flowing between both of them, like
- 8:05Speaker 1: you could tell that they just really truly became so
- 8:09Speaker 1: close and respect each other and had the greatest.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Time to Yeah, I agree with you.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You know, looking back, Alona really was the underdog and
- 8:21Speaker 1: she you know, proved that she belonged there. Yeah, Chandler
- 8:27Speaker 1: was the best answer, Joey was the most popular, and
- 8:33Speaker 1: Alona I feel like, grew in people's hearts because they
- 8:38Speaker 1: could relate to her. And you know, because everyone has
- 8:42Speaker 1: felt not included in their life, and I feel like
- 8:46Speaker 1: that was part of why, like the draw that she
- 8:50Speaker 1: just didn't feel like she was enough.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, And I agree with you.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I think you know, it's kind of interesting because you
- 8:56Speaker 2: think of these Olympians, right and you think, oh, oh
- 9:00Speaker 2: my god, they're so great at what they do, and
- 9:01Speaker 2: they they've always been this awesome and they must they must,
- 9:05Speaker 2: you know, have this this sense of self that you
- 9:08Speaker 2: know is just like infallible or untouchable. And I think
- 9:11Speaker 2: you saw it with Steven a little bit too. You know,
- 9:13Speaker 2: these guys are, yeah, they're really good at what they do,
- 9:15Speaker 2: but stepping outside of their world is is they're.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Just like everybody else.
- 9:20Speaker 2: You know, they they have those same insecurities that everybody has,
- 9:23Speaker 2: and you know, I didn't. I didn't pick up on
- 9:26Speaker 2: the Alona thing as early as you did, but I definitely,
- 9:29Speaker 2: I definitely got on the Alona train towards the end here,
- 9:32Speaker 2: and I feel like, you know, you're right.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I think her showing.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Her vulnerability and her really kind of putting it out
- 9:41Speaker 2: there did make America warm up to her because you know,
- 9:45Speaker 2: and that's that's what this show is. I think really
- 9:47Speaker 2: about these top five, I think we're really all I
- 9:50Speaker 2: hate to say it because I know it sounds like
- 9:51Speaker 2: participation trophy style stuff, but they were all really big
- 9:54Speaker 2: winners here because you know, for Steven and Alona as Olympians,
- 9:57Speaker 2: to get let people get to know their personalities, that's
- 10:00Speaker 2: a thing we don't get to know with these Olympians usually.
- 10:02Speaker 2: And then you got Danny, who came off of, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 2: an amazing NFL career, but he was arguably, I think
- 10:07Speaker 2: one of the better NFL dudes that have been on
- 10:10Speaker 2: the show. And then these top two.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know, we've got We've had a
- 10:14Speaker 1: lot of really yeah, amazing NFL.
- 10:19Speaker 2: No, You're right, we have, we have a lot. Joe's
- 10:33Speaker 2: beard maintenance in and of itself, should be worthy of
- 10:37Speaker 2: a Mirabaud Trophy.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I mean this, dude, how do these guys do this? Like,
- 10:41Speaker 3: I mean, I don't get it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I I'm a guy, Karen makeup, I've got I can't
- 10:46Speaker 1: make my my kinny. Seriously, you really think that he's
- 10:49Speaker 1: doing that? No, that is hair and makeup. He goes
- 10:53Speaker 1: into the chair literally probably right before, maybe a couple
- 10:57Speaker 1: hours before, and and they even showed him at the
- 11:01Speaker 1: beginning of the show where he was sitting in the
- 11:03Speaker 1: makeup chair and he's like or Alfonso's like, he just
- 11:06Speaker 1: got a haircut, you know, like it literally happens right there. So, yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: he's got a hairstylist following him around who's gonna like
- 11:13Speaker 1: trim him up.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And it's just perfectly qualitied at all times. You know,
- 11:16Speaker 2: I couldn't do that if my life. If you told me,
- 11:18Speaker 2: I'll give you a million dollars and a mirror Ball trophy.
- 11:21Speaker 3: You know, I don't think I.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Could grow a beer like that in ten weeks.
- 11:25Speaker 3: No way, no way, and help.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, so we picked it. We definitely picked the top
- 11:30Speaker 2: two correctly. You picked all five I got. I got
- 11:33Speaker 2: the top two. I really thought, uh Chandler was amazing.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Last night.
- 11:38Speaker 2: I thought her dances were unreal amazing, I mean, but
- 11:43Speaker 2: I also think and you know, this begs the question too.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I saw some stuff online today about Carrie an and
- 11:48Speaker 2: Aba and how you know she was a little critical
- 11:52Speaker 2: there in the end, and part of me feels like
- 11:55Speaker 2: part of me often wonders if that is her trying
- 11:59Speaker 2: to like forge her identity on the show as the stickler,
- 12:04Speaker 2: because it's like, because Derek has kind of come on,
- 12:08Speaker 2: you know, Derek took over the chair for Len Goodman
- 12:10Speaker 2: when he passed away, and Derek has the ability to
- 12:13Speaker 2: be critical as a as a very well known form
- 12:16Speaker 2: of pro dancer and of course with his time on,
- 12:18Speaker 2: so you think he can dance or whatever?
- 12:19Speaker 3: The other one was that he did as well? What
- 12:21Speaker 3: was that other one called?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Was this?
- 12:22Speaker 3: It wasn't so you think he can dance? What was that? One?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Oh? World of Jennifer Lopez World of Dance?
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you.
- 12:28Speaker 2: And and he was always like the guy who he
- 12:30Speaker 2: can give critical feedback because he is so good.
- 12:35Speaker 1: He's he's more like technical, Yeah, he is very concerned
- 12:40Speaker 1: with technique, you know, and what is included?
- 12:43Speaker 2: And that was always the carry Anne's role I think
- 12:45Speaker 2: before Yeah, so maybe that's why she says some of
- 12:48Speaker 2: the weird stuff she says, like but like she got
- 12:51Speaker 2: booed last night, which you know that used to be
- 12:53Speaker 2: that used to be Len Goodman would get booed and everyone,
- 12:56Speaker 2: you know, it was almost like tongue in cheek that
- 12:59Speaker 2: one felt per a little bit last night.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I thought, I don't.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I don't agree with you. I feel like, as a judge,
- 13:06Speaker 1: you have to call it like it is, and even
- 13:09Speaker 1: if it's not going to be popular, because obviously Joey
- 13:13Speaker 1: because he won. The reason I'm saying he's the most
- 13:16Speaker 1: popular is because he won. I feel like the votes
- 13:18Speaker 1: always come into play in the finale, even more so
- 13:23Speaker 1: than any other you know, time of the show. And
- 13:27Speaker 1: like Alfonso is saying, we crushed it, like hit a
- 13:31Speaker 1: new record in terms of how many votes came in.
- 13:34Speaker 1: So I feel like and Blakesley and I were two
- 13:38Speaker 1: people who voted for him that hadn't been voting for
- 13:41Speaker 1: him because like I've said in the past, yeah, how
- 13:44Speaker 1: did you get the timing right? I, well, we got
- 13:46Speaker 1: the timing right because I'm I'm made sure we got
- 13:49Speaker 1: the timing rate. I was like I was early. We
- 13:52Speaker 1: actually tried to vote at five pm our time, thinking
- 13:55Speaker 1: that they started at seven pm Eastern, but they didn't
- 13:58Speaker 1: start the votes until eight pm Eastern, so we had
- 14:01Speaker 1: to wait an hour to vote. But we got our
- 14:04Speaker 1: votes in. And I think that that, you know, maybe
- 14:08Speaker 1: maybe that played a part in it. Who knows, but
- 14:11Speaker 1: I think that Joey definitely got the popular vote and
- 14:14Speaker 1: she got booed because because he is really popular, and
- 14:18Speaker 1: at this point in time, everyone's falling in love with
- 14:21Speaker 1: these finales. With these finalists, you know, everyone has a
- 14:25Speaker 1: stake in seeing them succeed and wanting them to be happy.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I feel like and Carrie Anne saying anything negative, she's
- 14:34Speaker 1: going to get booze, and I think that's just the
- 14:36Speaker 1: nature of the beast. I don't think she's going to
- 14:38Speaker 1: change it all, and I don't think she should change.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I think she needs to call it like it is.
- 14:42Speaker 1: And she thought that it was underwhelming, so hey say that.
- 14:46Speaker 3: What did you think? Did you think it was underwhelming?
- 14:48Speaker 1: I will say that it wasn't my favorite freestyle. Okay,
- 14:52Speaker 1: so the freestyles that I mean, first of all, actually
- 14:57Speaker 1: I loved Stevens, Like coming out the game, Stevens was great.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I think he did an awesome job. I love how
- 15:03Speaker 1: they incorporated his teammates in there. Chandler's she is just perfection.
- 15:10Speaker 1: She really truly is. And the fact that there had
- 15:13Speaker 1: never been a black couple to be in the finale
- 15:17Speaker 1: was just like an emotional thing.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I know that was kind of shocking. I didn't I
- 15:21Speaker 2: guess I didn't even realize that.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I know, you know, I don't shocking to me.
- 15:27Speaker 2: It's like, and I know that I should be more mindful.
- 15:31Speaker 2: And I mean this in a respectful way. I didn't
- 15:33Speaker 2: see them as black dancers. I just saw them as right, I.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Don't think about that totally.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I agree.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was like watching it and when they
- 15:41Speaker 2: said I was like, oh my gosh.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You know, well, I think for them like being able
- 15:46Speaker 1: to show like, just like Chandler said when she was
- 15:48Speaker 1: being interviewed by Julianne Show, like young people who are
- 15:52Speaker 1: watching the show that there can be there should be
- 15:56Speaker 1: two black dancers together in the finale. Why Like you know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: people talk about how they didn't see representation growing up
- 16:05Speaker 1: on television or whatever. I love that they brought that
- 16:08Speaker 1: to the stage. I love that that that that is
- 16:12Speaker 1: a that they accomplished. That you know, and and not
- 16:17Speaker 1: that they were trying. They were just amazing. So they
- 16:19Speaker 1: accomplished it because they were amazing, And I just love that.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And I love that they gave Omad homage to to
- 16:30Speaker 1: you know, black entertainers in history, like it was. It
- 16:34Speaker 1: was actually such a cool dance for that reason. And
- 16:37Speaker 1: then my favorite was Alona's. I loved her dance. Is
- 16:44Speaker 1: she the best dancer in the bunch? She's not, But
- 16:50Speaker 1: I loved the empowerment, like I her confidence, the costumes,
- 16:58Speaker 1: the girls were freaking hot, it was. I loved the song.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I loved Alana's like and I loved how she started it,
- 17:08Speaker 1: how she was like walking through like you know, like
- 17:12Speaker 1: a locker room, essentially looking at these photos and reminiscing
- 17:17Speaker 1: about the memories. And I loved that they made it
- 17:21Speaker 1: sentimental in the beginning, and then she was just like,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna freaking let it go and this is me
- 17:27Speaker 1: and I'm hot and deal with it, you know.
- 17:30Speaker 3: For her, good for her, Yeah, I say there was.
- 17:34Speaker 2: There was some great choices last night musically too, Like
- 17:37Speaker 2: I really thought that was one of the things that
- 17:39Speaker 2: stood out to me. You know, I mean, I'm looking
- 17:42Speaker 2: at like like Stephen's Stephen and Riley songs. You know,
- 17:45Speaker 2: of course the Friends theme song right I'll be There
- 17:47Speaker 2: for You, the remembrands, but they also had.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Viva la Vita cole Play, which is one of my
- 17:50Speaker 3: favorite songs.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Joey had another one of my favorite songs from the
- 17:54Speaker 2: Trolls movie, Can't Stop the Feeling, justin Timberlake, I Know
- 17:57Speaker 2: I Love You, the cand heat by Districtive, which I
- 18:00Speaker 2: thought was interest because District seventy eight also shows.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Up a little later.
- 18:02Speaker 2: But then I love this song post Malone and Morganwall
- 18:05Speaker 2: and I had some help. I love that song, and
- 18:07Speaker 2: then the Barbie medley which was just really great.
- 18:11Speaker 3: That whole dance was so great.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Then you mentioned Alona. They had Shake a Tale feathered
- 18:15Speaker 2: by Ray Charles, which banfrom TV used to cover, by
- 18:17Speaker 2: the way, and then they had the song Phenomena.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Femenomenon, feminomena, feminomenon.
- 18:24Speaker 4: That's hard to say, that's a tongue to us, Yes eight,
- 18:29Speaker 4: which is a duet with Bruno Mars and Rose, and
- 18:33Speaker 4: then a mashup of Hell's of Poppin' and Move On Up,
- 18:36Speaker 4: which was awesome for it's so funny.
- 18:39Speaker 1: You were saying all of these songs, I am like,
- 18:42Speaker 1: which song was that? Which dance was that? Because I
- 18:44Speaker 1: don't know titles. I don't know song titles I know,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and then.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I obsessed with titles and lyrics. It's so crazy.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You know, the lyrics, Yes, the lyrics I obsessed with.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I don't know the titles. But I loved that they
- 18:58Speaker 1: for every dance, for the Redemption songs, I felt like
- 19:02Speaker 1: for everybody, the song fit perfectly fit perfectly, Like what
- 19:08Speaker 1: was the song? Like you said the Morgan, I think
- 19:11Speaker 1: the Morgan wall in.
- 19:11Speaker 3: One, like I had some help.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. I loved that for Danny and Whitney, like,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I don't know, I just I thought they did a
- 19:20Speaker 1: great job in choosing the songs, and that's not always
- 19:23Speaker 1: the case, but I thought the songs were perfection.
- 19:26Speaker 3: The songs and the costumes were on point.
- 19:28Speaker 1: The costumes were gorgeous. The green with Joey, I was like,
- 19:34Speaker 1: why did they Why did they have them wear this
- 19:37Speaker 1: neon green? It was that wasn't my favorite outBut that
- 19:40Speaker 1: wasn't my favorite.
- 19:40Speaker 3: I thought Jenna looked really pretty in it, like it
- 19:42Speaker 3: was nice for her.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Jenna can't not look pretty like she is she's a stunner.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I just I just love them and I'm so happy
- 19:52Speaker 1: for them. So Blakesley and I recorded our reaction, and
- 19:57Speaker 1: first of all, we were both shook it when Chandler
- 20:02Speaker 1: got third. We were shocked because at one point I
- 20:06Speaker 1: said during the show, I said she's gonna win because
- 20:09Speaker 1: she was freaking crushing everything. She was doing amazing, and
- 20:16Speaker 1: I just I was like, she's gonna win.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Do you think that was just a popular vote thing
- 20:19Speaker 2: because people just didn't know her before this show?
- 20:23Speaker 1: I do, y, I one hundred percent do. That is
- 20:27Speaker 1: why you vote. Yeah, that's why you vote. If you
- 20:30Speaker 1: are if you're really thinking that you want the best
- 20:34Speaker 1: answer to win, then you then you need to vote
- 20:37Speaker 1: for the best answer. I personally, I have been saying
- 20:40Speaker 1: all this season, she's the best answer. I voted for Joey,
- 20:45Speaker 1: so you know, so if you want the best answer
- 20:51Speaker 1: to win, then you vote for the best answer. But
- 20:53Speaker 1: I am so happy for Joey and Jenna. Their partnership
- 20:58Speaker 1: ship was like it kind of made me jealous, like
- 21:03Speaker 1: I wished I had had, Like I mean, Louie and
- 21:06Speaker 1: I had a great relationship and still stay in touch
- 21:08Speaker 1: every so often.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Oh, I was wondering if you guys, did I love that?
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I mean I was in Utah a couple of years
- 21:16Speaker 1: last year, a couple of years ago, reached out to him.
- 21:19Speaker 1: He's doing great, has a couple of kids now, which
- 21:23Speaker 1: is awesome.
- 21:24Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But anyway, yeah, I feel a little like I felt
- 21:30Speaker 1: kind of like jealous, like, oh, I love their partnership
- 21:33Speaker 1: that I just love their friendship. You know, you you
- 21:36Speaker 1: you know that it's authentic, it's real, like they truly
- 21:39Speaker 1: enjoy each other's company. Right.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I feel that way about Alona and her partner too,
- 21:44Speaker 2: Like they they really seem like they are like this,
- 21:47Speaker 2: this friendship is gonna last a lifetime, you know, And
- 21:50Speaker 2: I think, yeah, yes, I agree with you too. I think,
- 21:53Speaker 2: like Joey, I do love the way that Joey was
- 21:55Speaker 2: able to keep Kelsey involved week after week and then
- 22:00Speaker 2: to have val you know, come out.
- 22:02Speaker 3: And present them the trophy was super cool.
- 22:04Speaker 2: You know.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I just I thought that was It's.
- 22:07Speaker 2: A nice I think it's a nice, uh way to
- 22:11Speaker 2: turn the chapter on this show in a way that like,
- 22:13Speaker 2: you know, our first well, like you said too, I
- 22:15Speaker 2: mean I was thinking about this when you were saying
- 22:17Speaker 2: this but like for Chandler and Brendan to be the
- 22:20Speaker 2: first black couple that I would think there'd be a
- 22:24Speaker 2: lot of pressure, you know, Like I mean, I feel
- 22:26Speaker 2: like they're they're you're you're carrying this this extra burden
- 22:30Speaker 2: not burden, I guess, but actual responsibility into this, you know,
- 22:34Speaker 2: highly televised event and feeling pressure and everyone knows you're
- 22:37Speaker 2: the best answer out there and you know, but people
- 22:39Speaker 2: don't know you from your your your careerment necessarily, and
- 22:43Speaker 2: then to have that additional thing, I think Joey kind
- 22:45Speaker 2: of carried a little bit of that too, because not
- 22:47Speaker 2: not the same obviously, not with the same you know,
- 22:50Speaker 2: stakes obviously, but for Joey to be, you know, kind
- 22:53Speaker 2: of anstered about as a first person from the Bachelor,
- 22:55Speaker 2: the first guy from the Bachelor to.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Win this thing.
- 22:57Speaker 2: I'm not saying those two things are even remotely uh
- 23:00Speaker 2: similar in scale, but for him the hand that.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Pressure too, because I mean that we've been.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Calling for it, you know, for forever, you know, and
- 23:10Speaker 2: so it's like he's and for him to go all
- 23:13Speaker 2: the way and do it, I mean, man, that's that's
- 23:15Speaker 2: the bar pretty high. Now considering the fact that this
- 23:17Speaker 2: thing is kind of almost like, if you're a relatively popular,
- 23:21Speaker 2: uh you know, bachelor bacherette, you're probably going to end
- 23:24Speaker 2: up on Dancing with the Stars. I would think that
- 23:26Speaker 2: that adds a little bit of extra stakes to anybody
- 23:28Speaker 2: who's being asked to be the next bachelor.
- 23:30Speaker 3: They got to think about it, like, how am I
- 23:31Speaker 3: going to do?
- 23:32Speaker 1: Yeah, right, dancing? No, No, I don't think they should.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Don't think about that at all. That's that's when you
- 23:38Speaker 1: don't get asked, you know what I mean, right right.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But I do think it's interesting that there have been
- 23:43Speaker 1: so many bachelors, like let's see Crystal's, Sean Lowe, Nick Vile,
- 23:49Speaker 1: Jake a grocery store Joe. That's five. I'm probably missing somebody, yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 1: but I feel like there have been there been three
- 24:01Speaker 1: winners who are bachelorettes, Hannah, Melissa, Ryecroft, and Caitlin. And
- 24:06Speaker 1: then you had didn't have, you know, anybody out of
- 24:10Speaker 1: the six bachelors who had been on until Joey. So
- 24:13Speaker 1: I think it's awesome. I am just I'm so I'm
- 24:16Speaker 1: so excited for them. I'm so excited. I'm hoping that
- 24:20Speaker 1: he's on tour in Denver and that I can see
- 24:24Speaker 1: him in person doing his doing his thing on stage.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Do you think he'll do the tour? Did they say
- 24:30Speaker 3: he's going to do the tour or no, Yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 1: They did. They pulled all all five finalists out and
- 24:35Speaker 1: Steven's hosting it, and then and then it was Alona,
- 24:40Speaker 1: Chandler and Joey are going to be uh not in
- 24:44Speaker 1: every single city, but they are gonna be there, and
- 24:48Speaker 1: so is whom I'm who, and Danny. I feel like
- 24:52Speaker 1: Danny's going to be there too. I feel like they're
- 24:53Speaker 1: all going to be there, but just not in every city.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I think that Top three was pretty spectacular, I mean
- 25:10Speaker 2: very you know, I mean, man, I mean Top.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Five was spectacular. Top five. I'm so glad that they
- 25:18Speaker 1: did Top five. To think that we could we wouldn't
- 25:21Speaker 1: have seen Stephen and Riley in the finale, you know,
- 25:26Speaker 1: or even I think Alona would have been the fourth
- 25:29Speaker 1: and to have missed her like she ended up being
- 25:31Speaker 1: second overall. So you know, I'm so thankful that they
- 25:35Speaker 1: did Top five because it changed it completely, you know,
- 25:40Speaker 1: changed for Alona and she went she rose to the top.
- 25:43Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm so thankful that we got to do
- 25:48Speaker 1: this this season. It was. It was so much fun.
- 25:51Speaker 3: This has been a lot of fun.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I love your insight because you not only have you
- 25:54Speaker 2: done the show, you've done Dancing with the Stars, but
- 25:57Speaker 2: you were also grown you are still in the dance community,
- 26:00Speaker 2: and I think I think you bring a totally different
- 26:02Speaker 2: wrinkle to it because you understand what these dancers are
- 26:06Speaker 2: going through from a pressure perspective as well as you know,
- 26:09Speaker 2: especially from the celebrity component.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I mean a little bit.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I did not. I didn't live in La when I
- 26:16Speaker 1: was practicing. Louis would literally fly in on his own
- 26:20Speaker 1: dime by the way to Colorado, or drive to Colorado.
- 26:24Speaker 1: He would stay. I don't think they even paid for
- 26:25Speaker 1: his hotel rooms. I'm not even kidding, because they had
- 26:28Speaker 1: no budget back then. I swear will I booked us
- 26:32Speaker 1: at or no, I didn't. I think the producers did
- 26:34Speaker 1: book us at like a gym, like a hotel or
- 26:39Speaker 1: a ballroom, and we practiced like I don't even think
- 26:43Speaker 1: we had mirrors. I don't know it was. There was
- 26:50Speaker 1: one time we were in a gym at a gym
- 26:53Speaker 1: and we did have a room, but it had a
- 26:56Speaker 1: pole right in the middle of the room, So you
- 26:59Speaker 1: had tod like make sure that part of the dance
- 27:01Speaker 1: wasn't like around not not like a strip, like a
- 27:06Speaker 1: like a construction poll.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Okay, okay, I get it, I get it.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Sorry, like something that they needed to stabilize the building.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So yeah, it wasn't like and we didn't practice every
- 27:21Speaker 1: day of the week for hours and hours and hours
- 27:24Speaker 1: on end like he would come in. We would practice
- 27:27Speaker 1: for you know, a few hours and maybe the next
- 27:29Speaker 1: day and then he would go. It was like a
- 27:31Speaker 1: weekend thing. So I we did not have even close
- 27:35Speaker 1: to the amount of practices that are rehearsals that they
- 27:39Speaker 1: are having now, and the stress was a lot less.
- 27:42Speaker 1: So in wrapping up, thanks for making this so fun,
- 27:47Speaker 1: I'm so thankful that almost famous. Thank you for giving
- 27:51Speaker 1: us this opportunity to recap it because it really brought
- 27:53Speaker 1: me back to Dancing with the Stars. And you know,
- 27:57Speaker 1: I've I've been watching here and there over the years
- 28:00Speaker 1: and keeping up with it, but not like watching every episode,
- 28:04Speaker 1: and this gave me an excuse to get back to it.
- 28:06Speaker 1: So thank you so much.
- 28:08Speaker 3: I love you.
- 28:09Speaker 2: You know, maybe we'll get lucky and we'll get Joey.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I mean, you know, Joey and Jen.
- 28:13Speaker 3: I hope this would be your stop, your press stop.
- 28:16Speaker 3: You know, we'd love to talk to you all.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we hope we can.
- 28:20Speaker 2: But yeah, this has been a lot of fun, trist
- 28:21Speaker 2: I always love talking with you, and I'm excited that
- 28:25Speaker 2: the holidays are right around the corner and then we'll
- 28:26Speaker 2: be getting right into your show coming up in the
- 28:30Speaker 2: new year. So I'm very excited to get after that
- 28:32Speaker 2: Special Forces on a weekly basis and really kind of
- 28:34Speaker 2: dig into that too.
- 28:35Speaker 3: So it's going to be a good times, good time, sister.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it, good times awesome. Okay, thank you
- 28:41Speaker 1: guys for listening and catch us. I guess now that
- 28:46Speaker 1: this is over, maybe we'll start getting back to our
- 28:49Speaker 1: og Bachelor people. So yeah, tune in, tune into that
- 28:53Speaker 1: hopefully coming up.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Let's say Joey and Jen on first, and then you.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Know, yeah, I would love to actually have the top five.
- 28:59Speaker 1: If we can get the top five finalists on the show,
- 29:02Speaker 1: I would love to do that. So yeah, anyway, and
- 29:05Speaker 1: maybe even Tory spelling. I don't know a few people.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I have to say one more thing.
- 29:12Speaker 1: So if you were watching, I think it was Dan
- 29:17Speaker 1: who was it. I cannot remember the celeb who had
- 29:21Speaker 1: just danced. Anna Delvey is like behind them, and she
- 29:26Speaker 1: kept moving over so that she was on camera.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Did you see it? I didn't, but now I have to.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I think it was Danny and Whitney. You have to
- 29:36Speaker 1: go back and watch when Julianne, you know, they're up
- 29:39Speaker 1: on the top and Juliane's interviewing them, and Anna keeps
- 29:45Speaker 1: moving over and then she gets to the place where
- 29:47Speaker 1: she can be seen and she stands there and there
- 29:50Speaker 1: was a guy like a dancer, like a fill in dancer,
- 29:54Speaker 1: who was standing right next to her, and he hadn't
- 29:57Speaker 1: moved and then he noticed that she was He noticed
- 30:01Speaker 1: that she was there, and he was like, oh sorry,
- 30:03Speaker 1: and he kind of moved over because she like totally
- 30:06Speaker 1: invaded his space.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Sorry. I had to give that a little snippet. I'm
- 30:12Speaker 1: going to leave you with that, and all right, thank you,
- 30:16Speaker 1: congratulations Joey and Jenna, We love you, and thanks everybody.
